Lab Assistant Loki AU (Part 1)
[Fair warning, I really don't know how to place this in the timeline, so it's basically TVA Loki and Mobius enter the main timeline and are now questionable allies with the Avengers while they prepare to deal with Kang's arrival. Is this important? Nope. I just wanted an explanation for why Loki will mention TVA stuff and why Bruce kinda knows about it.]
"I regret this already..."
I barely know why I agreed to this. It seemed like an great idea at the time: Find a way to fuse magic and science to make something incredible! But, letting Loki be the sorcerer I would have to work with?! I could blame a few others: Thor for repeatedly saying it was a good idea because Loki had apparently dabbled with the concept before (Don't think Alchemy counts as science but ok),Brunn saying it's a good way to make sure the both of us don't get into any trouble because of this idea (I still have no idea what she means) and even that guy, Mobius, promised that Loki would actually be a great help. But, I think I can only blame Loki and I for this. Worst part is...It was his idea.
--------------------------------*Two weeks earlier*-------------------------------------
"Loki?! What the hell are you doing here? How did you even find-"
"Oh relax, I'm actually here to help you!"
What?
"Well, Mobius brought up that you were going to try to meddle with something beyond your understanding, so I thought I would be of some help! What's with the look?"
"...You want to be useful? For no reason?..."
"Rude! But fair...If this works we could use it against Kang."
I don't think I'll ever get used to how quick Loki can switch from a smug, suspicious, albeit charismatic, jerk to full on serious and kinda intimidating. I'm literally the guy who can throw him around like a rag doll and even I get kinda nervous when he acts likes that.
"Ok...I guess that makes sense? But it um still doesn't explain how you found this place, Tony and I literally made it hard to find. And you haven't even been on Midgard for years!"
"Oh that was easy!  A while back Mobi and I-"
And back to non-threatening, still too quick of a change. Also is Moby the Mobius guy? Is that his actual name or a nickname?
"-And so, we thought it wise to look up important locations in the timeline: like where all the Avengers where at."
"Great, now your telling me a bunch of suspicious time cops and Kang know where I live. Seriously great!"
"Oh relax, just focus on the positive; like the fact you have a sorcerer willing to help you with your 'sciences'."
Does he really think this is a good idea? And that he's doing me a favor? I need a way out of this and fast.
"Actually I was thinking of asking Strange or Wong or something. No offense, but Strange is a doctor, I think he might know about how to mix the two concepts better than most."
"..."
And he went quiet. That's concerning. Mostly cause I can't read his expression: is he offended? Pissed? Or just doesn't care?
"Alright."
"Really?"
"Yes, as long you find something useful I don't really care too much from who it comes from. Though if you change your mind, I'll be around."
Ok, he seemed back to his 'pleasant' demeanor so probably no hurt feelings or problems in the future. Now I just have to contact the two other wizards I know and ask them to replace Loki's offer. That should be easy.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah, no they both declined. Wong even said it was 'foolish to try such a concept, because it was to things that were not meant to be merged. Especially by one not in-tuned with magic like myself' whatever that means. They both were normal guys that learned to do magic but apparently I can't even consider doing it with their help or guidance! But that basically meant I had to go to the god I was originally just trying to avoid come help me out.
"Look, Loki, about what happened-"
"They turned you down, didn't they?~"
"How did you?"
"Oh please everyone has heard of the mischief the 'Sorcerers Supremes' have gotten into by abusing and playing with the wrong types of sorcery, now they're trying be on their best behavior . Did you think, The God of Mischief, would not have heard of this?"
Smug jerk.
"Well, I heard the Strange got in a mess trying to help the SpiderKid and later the mess with...Wanda...But I don't know what Wong is in trouble for?"
I can't believe I forgot about Wanda. The rest of us should really ask more questions to Strange about what happened.
"There was no way of avoiding it, Bruce."
"What?"
"I said there was no way that Strange and Wong would have worked with you, Bruce."
That's definitely not what he said...but ok...
"So, shall we get started, Dr. Banner?"

Loki series first reaction
So, yeah, spoilers.
*sits at her desk to type*
First things first, there was enough of the Loki I recognised to keep me engaged. I’m very relieved. Sure there were bits where I suddenly found myself fascinated with the set design for a moment, but overall there was enough Loki in there for me.
Things I liked:
They way they showed the dawning realisation that the TVA was beyond Loki’s ability to beat. It needed to be convincing, and I think they did a good job of it. They showed him attempting to escape, they showed him running out of options. They showed him going from cocky and sure of himself to lost and afraid.  They never did this in Infinity War and that was one of the reason I had trouble accepting that scene. So I’m glad they bothered here. One of the benefits of TV over film I guess.
How disheartened he was to find those infinity stones stashed in the draw like used paperclips. I thought that was really well done. I think that was the moment that sold it to me as someone who knows Loki’s strengths that this might actually be beyond him.
The scene where he’s alone and watches his future play out.  That they showed him caring for his mother, not just once with his initial reaction, but again, and deeply, when he comes back and plays through his alternate life.
His reaction to seeing his alternate life. I am sooooo glad they didn’t gloss over that or make it light-hearted. Or a joke. I think we as an audience (or at least the fans) needed to see that. I’m glad he didn’t turn away, or turn it off in anger, or otherwise reject it. I can’t fathom what it must be like to see your future, and see it play out LIKE THAT. And realise you’re at risk of death in your current situation and if you can work out how to return to your old timeline that you will die there too, and that this will be enforced.  There is no chance to escape. No chance to change your future. I am haunted by his face.
And then the way in which he says “glorious purpose” afterwards. Ugh! My heart!
I think I enjoyed this scene on a personal level too – it reflects how I felt after seeing Infinity War and Endgame. So sad that all his actions seemed so futile, that after all his suffering and trying so, so hard, that he wasn’t even allowed some time to enjoy life before Thanos caught up with them.
I think they did a really good job of showing us a scenario in which Loki would appear willing to give up his connection with the world of TDW/Ragnarok/Infinity War.  I was worried they’d just give some flimsy reason and for plot purposes Loki would agree, but this was satisfying enough for me.  And I like his growing realisation and grief about having no place to go back to.
Despite my perceptions of Mobius based on the trailer material, I really appreciated how he was sympathetic at that moment.
I’m glad they addressed “but the Avengers were the time criminals” thing head on.  Bit arbitrary, but I guess bringing back half of the population of the universe is probably a good enough reason. Lol
I also kinda liked how they described Loki’s purpose as bringing out the better parts of other people. Assigning him some purpose for the greater good, not just telling him he’s a useless waste of space. It might not be what he wants but he has worth all the same.
How young and hurt and vulnerable he looked sitting on the edge of the room with the tesseract in his hand.
Things I wasn’t so keen on:
So, yeah, there’s a lot of moments that are just a bit too different from the Loki I’m used to for me to be comfortable just yet, but I think as the series goes on I will adapt to it and notice them less and less. For example the cringey trying to do magic moment in the court.  Not a fan. But it did remind me of the similar moment in Ragnarok when Thor mistimes with Mjolnir. So it was kinda helpful to me to be able to recall an instance where they did that joke with an outright hero.
I was disappointed that they seem to not want to mention Thanos or his influence.  There was a perfect moment for him to bring it up, and for a while I thought that might have been what Mobius was angling at. But no. Though if I had to choose between Loki responding to his mother’s death or his time with Thanos then I’m glad they went with Frigga. I guess we can assume that if an Infinity Stone is powerless in the TVA then Loki is now out of Thanos’ reach, so perhaps he felt he could keep that one buried.
I wa a little disappointed that the DB Cooper thing was just a flashback – it was fun, and I enjoyed it, I just would have like to have seen more.  And it means that the line mentioning Heimdall and his brother mean nothing, nor does the bifrost.  I’m wondering now if the little flashes of Asgard are just flashbacks too.  Though the Thor 1 outfit is against a different design of throne than the one actually in Thor 1, and I would assume if they were going for a flashback they would build it to look like the original, but maybe they just wanted to make something “new and fresh”. Ugh.
That damn graphic death scene! Again!  Will we ever escape this!? Or will every future Loki-related show/article/advertisement include it? Is there some bizarre legal requirement to include it! :p  So yeah, tw, they go there. Again.
And the little speech near the end where he was explaining that he doesn’t like hurting people and it’s all just a cover – that seemed a little too direct and open to me.  But after everything he’s just seen, and realising he’s just lost his entire life, even if he’s still alive, I can accept he might feel he has nothing to lose, that it’s not worth hiding anything anymore.
Other thoughts:
I was interested in the Jetsons-style Multiverse 101 spiel – that there were multiple universes before and that they had been brought down to one. That’s not what I was expecting. That multiple universes were a bad thing. That’s puts a new light on Dr Strange and Multiverse of Madness.
They didn’t show the Your saviour is here! Scene?  Will that come later? Or was that just for the trailers?  They seem to have had quite a few moments that were different than in the trailers.  Nothing big, but they chose different takes to go into the actual episode a few times.
Some of the reviewers had talked about a surprise twist at the end of the first episode.  Ha!  Was anyone actually surprised?
That scene where Loki has the tesseract in his hand in the office and nobody seems at all bothered by the person wandering around in a prisoner’s uniform without a collar in their workspace.  That still seemed odd, and I can see why we thought there must have been something significant about it.  But I guess that’s just showing us the downbeat disinterest of office work!
Interesting that most of the trailer material seems to have been taken from this episode.  I hope that means we get to see a lot more outside the TVA.
I’m going to be watching this again on Saturday with a friend overseas so I’m sure I’ll have more thoughts after that.  Well actually I’m sure I’ll have more thoughts while I brush my teeth and get ready for bed! Who am I kidding!  :D
So overall, I’m relieved that this will be something I can find enough in to enjoy. I’m liking the scope that we’re seeing so far, and how they seem to be okay with the emotional stuff.  This is definitely not Ragnarok again.

All right - I’m serious, I don’t fucking know what to say. There is so much analysis to be done and I’ve got FEELS and my brain short-circuited. But, some reactions under the cut. Spoilers, obviously.
[please blacklist spoiler tags: #loki tv series spoilers, #loki series spoilers, #loki spoilers]
*flailing*
Well my first reaction is that -
Okay. There was some cringe - mostly stuff that we already saw in the trailers. (Loki doesn’t say “crap,” btw. I think he says “bunk.” Which, okay.) I’m just kinda ignoring it.
There were some genuinely funny lines and moments. Toward the latter half of the episode, there was a more subtle balance between serious and humorous and it flowed together well.
Re: Loki’s powers - I actually really like how they handled it here. The narrative made fun of him when he tried to use his powers, but idk, I didn’t find anything wrong with it. It was amusing and the joke was not “har har Loki is weakling,” it was “har har Loki thinks he can use his powers here,” which was more funny and ic for me. Also, Loki slamming his fists down and saying DAMN IT WHY WON’T IT WORK sent me.
That said, they did a good job showing that even a “declawed” Loki, powers-wise, was still formidable in the sense that he fell back on his wits and gave them a run for their money. Plus him getting one over on Jailer Time Lady was *chef’s kiss*
I’m intrigued by the storyline and general plot.
Okay, what broke my brain (and my heart) was everything between Loki and Mobius. Mobius kept dragging Loki in all the most hurtful ways we’ve all meta’ed about endlessly, and I couldn’t figure out if he was trying to goad Loki or if he actually believed what he was saying. Idk, I can’t get a firm read on Mobius at this point, although I kinda hate him a little. He preyed on all of Loki’s most vulnerable doubts and insecurities - rude.
Most importantly -
LOKI CRYING. Loki cried a lot. My emotional whumpy needs were met. Mobius fucking showed him Frigga’s death, and then Loki watched his own death (which they showed somewhat graphically but I really liked how we got to see Loki’s reaction as the snap of his neck occurred off-screen, like, well done and also fuck my life), and the way he stood there, laughing and crying as the realization of his wasted life - and how it ends - sunk in was just, god, my heart.
Mobius’s interrogation revolving around forcing Loki to admit whether or not he likes hurting people and causing death and destruction was good. I also liked how, when Loki was threatening Casey, you could tell that he didn’t intend to kill Casey at all but it wasn’t done in a mocking, like, “pfft okay Loki” way, it was more like a “okay, we all know you have no intention of actually gutting Casey like a fish bc you clearly don’t enjoy hurting people and we’re establishing that right off the bat” and, yknow, that works for me.
I’m probably forgetting things. I will have to rewatch and analyze much more closely. I anticipate many metas (sorry in advance). But, I mean, my overall reaction? There wasn’t really anything that I disliked enough to make an impression. Just the cringey humor parts and the times where Loki’s reactions felt exaggerated but, I mean, it was easy enough to overlook. I certainly didn’t get the impression that Loki was being portrayed as “clownish” or too zany, despite the trailers. Loki had a ton of really good lines; I feel like we got a solid glimpse into what’s going on in Loki’s head but there’s obviously so much more going on beneath the surface.
And also, Loki’s mannerisms deserve mentioning! Nothing special but just, he had so many facial expressions and gestures and things that, thus far, have only existed in my imagination when reading/writing fic. He pushed his hands through his hair at one point, even. I realize I’m probably the only one lame enough to care about things like that, but I just loved watching the way Loki spoke and moved and reacted. It all felt very natural.
ALSO. LOKI BEING D.B. COOPER BC HE LOST A BET TO THOR. LMAO. I CANNOT.
... Imma just leave it there for now. I give this episode, upon first viewing and first reactions, a B-. More meta to follow, etc.

Long Loki rant incoming
Ok first things first I've always liked Loki a lot as a character but I don't consider myself a really really big fan mainly because I haven't read the comics. So all this rant is gonna be only about mcu loki and loki in the mcu has been written differently depending on the movie so yeah. And on that note let's go!!!!
So today I'm gonna talk about what I liked and what I didn't like about the Loki show. This is obviously just my opinion, you can disagree with me! I'd love to hear your opinions!
First I wanna talk about is the writing of Loki's character. So previously it has been established in the mcu that Loki doesn't do bad things just because he's a bad guy or because he wants power above everything else, but because after all the manipulation and lying he went through as a child, the abuse, always been seen as less than those around him and being taught to hate himself for who he was (a Jotun). He wants validation and being treated the same as the others, he doesn't really care about ruling or being king. His actions are a result of his trauma. So the show painting him as "He's a bad guy!! He's evil he can't help it it's in his nature!! He just wants to be king!!!" felt off to me since it completely goes against all the previous canon. Apart from that, I feel the show also erased other aspects of him that had always been essential to his character, such as him being very smart and always having a plan, and his powers (he BARELY used his powers throughout the season and he's supposed to be the best sorcerer in the nine realms. Please). So yeah there's that. I didn't absolutely despise his character in the show or anything like that, he generally seemed more happy and chill and that was good, I just felt some aspects of the character seemed inconsistent.
Apart from Loki, something I loved about the show were all the new characters that we were introduced to. Sylvie was absolutely fantastic, she had a well written tragic backstory, she had a goal and she had layers. She was a really well written character. Also she was just really cool overall, she had a cool personality and seeing her use her powers was very fun. (Sylvie your hand in marriage) (I guess I can talk about the "betrayal" now. So yeah not gonna lie I don't think it was that bad. She had a goal she had been pursuing her whole life and she obviously prioritized that before a guy who she met a few days ago. She did hurt him of course but still it's easy to understand her decision.) Mobius was also really cool, in the first episode I didn't like him much but I started liking him a lot later on. He's just a good guy, he wants to help people. (HE ONLY WANTED A JETSKI MARVEL). And I liked his story a lot, he was forced into working for the tva because his memories were erased and he was told what he was doing the right thing when killing all those people, but once he finds out all of it was false he immediately starts going against it and trying to help as many people as he can. Ravonna was also a good character (I keep saying all of them are good characters lol they're well written ok). Like okay she was a little bit evil but I liked her. I really liked her ambition and her confidence. I would have loved to know more about her life at the tva, because it seemed like because of her position she knew some things that most didn't. Hunter B15 was also really good, loved her character development. Casey only appeared in the first two eps but for some reason I liked him a lot idk why. Casey my beloved. Kang was mind-blowing good, he absolutely carried the episode. He was so fun to watch and a very interesting character. This is how you do villains Marvel. And then all the Loki variants were amazing. Classic Loki was great, he was more mature and wiser than the Loki we're used to watching and I felt really sad about his whole situation (aka trying and failing to find his brother because he missed him, getting pruned and then dying). Kid loki was a BLAST, I really liked the little funky dude and I would love to know more about his life. Boastful Loki didn't appear for long but I liked him a lot, he looked like a really funny guy I wish he had had more screen time. And then there was the Lokigator which was also great. President Loki was also cool (meaning he had the coolest outfit), but we didn't see much of him. I think that's a big problem with the show, because they made it seem like it was gonna be more about the other Loki variants and their timelines (that's what it seemed to me from the trailers) but then we barely got that. Sad shit.
Now let's talk about the writing of the show in general. The writers definitely went off with the philosophical conversations, I enjoyed them greatly (Loki's and Mobius' talk in the second ep and Loki's and Sylvie's talk in the third ep were amazing). Something I didn't like at all about the show (this is probably my biggest complaint) is that the writing of the show throughout the episodes didn't seem consistent, like each episode seemed to be a different genre, and that made the whole story feel weird. What I'm trying to say is: the first episode was about Loki learning more about his life and reflecting on why he does the things he does. There was more to the episode but it was mainly that. It was a very emotional episode. The second episode looked like a cop show, they investigated a crime scene in the beginning, they did some detectiving, they had a great breakthrough and found out were the villain was hiding in the end. The third episode was an action episode. It gave me the vibes of mid season episode that isn't too relevant to the plot in which the characters go on some short mission. The fourth episode I can't exactly categorize it I think it was kinda like episode 1 but with some more action. The fifth episode was also a mix, they had a lot of reflecting on Loki's character like in the first episode and then also some action. And the last episode was mostly just exposition and a tiny bit of action at the end, very philosophical and stuff. It also felt like in the first two episodes they were indicating that the show was gonna be about free will and good and evil but that kind of disappeared for a big part of the show. I'm trying so hard to explain myself well, I hope what I say makes sense. Now my opinion on the episodes, my favourites were definitely ep 1, 3 and 5 (haha odd numbers go brrrr). The pilot was absolutely amazing, and I loved the direction the show seemed to be taking (YES MARVEL explore his trauma mmmm that's some good shit right there). It was really emotional but like in a good way. The third episode was great. I think it balanced really well the action and the dialogue, seeing Loki and Sylvie going on their shenanigans, using their powers and fighting was really fun, and then the train talk scene was absolutely amazing (bi loki yay! Gonna talk about this later). The fifth episode was great mostly because seeing all the other Loki variants and how they contrasted between each other was fantastic and I loved it. I really hope we see more of the variants in the next season. The other eps, the second and fourth were okay, the one I think was the worst one was the last one. Damn that episode. It was a very slow episode. Thank god the guy who plays Kang was really good because otherwise the episode would have been impossible to watch. There was so much exposure but it felt like we already knew most of it? They talked about how multiple timelines existing was bad because chaos and stuff, and they talked about the war in which the different timelines battled each other. Ok we already knew this. I feel like the only important thing to take from that whole talk was that Kang's variants are very powerful and dangerous and they were introducing the villain to the mcu. The whole episode felt like instead of giving closure to the characters or ending some storylines, the main thing it was doing was introducing the concept of the multiverse for the next marvel movies.
Something that surprised me a lot about the show is how important it is for the mcu storyline. Like in the first episode they talked about how the tva (and of course Kang) was much more powerful than the Infinity Stones, when basically all previous marvel movies were about them and about their power. And then Kang was revealed to have created a sacred timeline, he controls absolutely everything that happens. All of this is so important and for some reason I didn't think the show was gonna be like this. Not that I'm complaining, this is great. And I feel like a lot of people are not realising how big it is? Like I don't see much talking about how this is literally the greatest power in the universe.
Damn this is getting long sorry.
I suppose I'll have to talk about it because it has been this big thing. I'm talking about the loki x sylvie pairing. I didn't like it too much, it felt a lot like the writers went "he's a guy she's a girl so they have to fall in love", like I felt they had a very different dynamic and when they said that I was mostly surprised and confused. Because they were variants of each other their romance felt weird to me, and the fact that they made a character genderfluid and then made a woman and a man version fall in love also rubbed me the wrong way (I'll talk about the genderfluidity later). I did like the mobius x loki pairing more, but still I don't think they should have got any romance this season, I feel like there has to be a lot more progress in that relationship before any romance. I generally feel like Loki should first start getting some friends and then later on we can start with romance. But yeah this is just my opinion. And all the drama and discourse there has been over this???? Some of you guys look ridiculous not gonna lie.
Ok now let's talk about representation. I'm not poc myself so I don't feel like I'm in the position to say if something was good or bad, so I'm not gonna talk about poc rep. The show did a good job with female characters, many of the main characters were women and they were very well-written, not sexualized and cast appropriately for their age (I can't believe I'm praising this, this should be the bare minimum. Why is media in general so bad. Like please just.) About the bi rep now. I'm sure that the writers or directors of the show had to fight really hard with marvel so that they could make loki canon bi, so yeah cheers to that guys good job. Obviously it's not enough, and I really hope his bisexuality is explored more later. But yeah we finally have a queer character in the mcu this is big. Now about the genderfluid rep. OOF. I have a lot to say about this. It was bad. Really bad. I don't know if they just don't know what genderfluid means but that's what it looks like after watching the show. Not only were all of the variants cis, but they also went on to say that Loki as a woman was a weird and uncommon thing. Oh my god. And what angers me the most is the fact that Marvel used the so called genderfluid confirmation to their benefit. They exploited so much that little piece of paper that said his sex (not even gender) was fluid. I saw SO MANY articles praising marvel for making him canon genderfluid, and then it was absolutely shit. Absolutely shit. Out of everything in the show this is definitely what I hate the most.
Gotta calm down now. The soundtrack of the show was amazing, the actual songs they used were perfect and then the music they composed for the show was just *chef's kiss* (i have no idea how they're called but the song that plays during the title sequence WHAT A BANGER and the one that plays when loki and mobius are looking at the whole tva from the balcony in the first ep WHAT A BANGER). The aesthetic of the show was also great, the colours were really pretty (Lamentis bi colours my beloved) and I think it had some really cool shots. The acting was great, I'm gonna highlight Kang because I thought he was amazing. The costumes and that stuff were also really cool, I really liked seeing all the different versions of outfits they gave to the Loki variants (if anyone is interested I made another post reviewing all the variants' outfits) and Kang's funky costume was great too. The design of the places and that stuff (I have no idea how to call these lol I'm trying so hard but I don't know any of the technical words) was great: Lamentis was really beautiful, the void was also very cool and the tva was really well designed.
Ok y'all I think this is it. I'm so sorry this is much longer than I expected and if anyone actually reads all of it i love you and PLEASE tell me your thoughts (if anyone wanna chat about the show with me privately send me a message!!! I love talking with y'all). A little final note, English is not my first language, nor my second, so yeah sorry if I can't explain myself well. Bye!!!!

[this ask contains ep 3 Loki spoilers, please don’t read or answer if you have not seen the episode yet!]
HI! Sorry for that but I’d hate to ruin anything for anyone! I was just curious how many similarities you see between the Loki in your fics (whose characterisation I love!!) and the Loki in the Disney + show? And what are they? I was also curious if you see any traits of your Loki reflected in Sylvie, I know personally during episode 3 when Sylvie lost her temper and just screamed with her magic that reminded me a little bit of the more 2013 era Loki and I was wondering if you could see your Loki doing something like that? Perhaps if he were to get frustrated by Thors self sacrificing nature and he isn’t quite sure how to express his worry so he just feels anger?
SORRY! Super long ask and kinda confusing I hope it makes sense
Oh gosh, so many similarities. Like...to the point where I'm like, are the showrunners reading my fic? JOKE, JOKE, I KNOW THEY AREN'T.
From a general character perspective, the show matches up really, really well with my version of him in my main fic verse, IMO. Honestly, I should watch the episodes again and make a list, because full disclosure, I've only watched each of them once. Anyway here's what I can think of without watching them all again:
The idea that his villainy is an illusion and a role he feels he has to play
The speechifying being related to playing this part
He doesn't enjoy hurting people
He's actually super sarcastic and funny all the time, and that his sense of humor is quite dark
He's mischievous! And a little shit a lot of the time, too
That he loves his family and Asgard very very much
Related, he has the capacity to care about people, like Mobius
His tendency to start talking and then just like...not stop. I have a number of instances where he does this in my fic
That part where he cries when he finds out about Ragnarok and then goes to Mobius and is like, yeah it's really sad, whatevs—that refusal to let people see who he really is or how he really feels
He's tech savvy. I have a scene in one of my upcoming fics where he works out how to drive a manual car in about three minutes. And just like, generally speaking, I make him capable of figuring out how to use stuff. Tbh this is less of a character similarity and more of a handwave, but it is a similarity.
There are also really specific things, like:
His speech patterns—though he's actually a bit more informal than I write him, saying 'cool' and 'yeah' and whatnot, which I'm now trying to incorporate more, haha
Specific physical mannerisms. When he leans against the lockers with his arms crossed over his chest in episode 2? His feet up on Mobius's desk? His fidgeting with the Tesseract? I write stuff like that all the time. Also: his little wave to the security dude he chucks out the window, that's literally in the chapter I just posted (and it was not something I added, it's from the original draft)
When Sylvie says 'love is hate' and he gets the quill out, mocking her? Wrote something very similar about a month ago:
“‘Not the worst idea.’” Strange smiled. “Put that on my tombstone. Here lies Stephen Vincent Strange: one time, he came up with an idea that Loki thought wasn’t the worst.”
Loki laughed and conjured a notebook and pen from his pocket dimension. Very seriously and laboriously, he began writing, then said, “Sorry, could you repeat that? I want to get it down so I don’t make any mistakes. You can check my spelling when I’m done.”
Loki speaking Latin
Loki's relationship with Mobius so far is very similar to the dynamic that I write between Loki and Strange. And I know I don't have the vast majority of that stuff posted yet, but it's like...yeah. I love Mobius and I love the dynamic between him and Loki but at the same time, it's immensely frustrating, because I want it to be Stephen and it's how I write the two of them, haha
"Love is a dagger" is a metaphor I wrote (full disclosure, not in those exact words) over a year ago in a scene close to the end of The General Mess and Imprecision of Feeling
His teariness
I know I'm forgetting things because I'm constantly thinking, 'omg I wrote that in X fic' as I'm watching the episodes, but that's off the top of my head.
I don't really see a lot of my Loki's traits reflected in Sylvie, no, beyond like, the sarcasm and the sass. She's definitely a much harder character than my Loki, who has, after all, been through his redemption arc in the MCU.
Though, re: Sylvie's scream, I absolutely wrote Loki screaming in frustration recently (before the ep aired, too):
Loki bit his lip. Ah. Right. Yes. He had turned off his phone after the visit to the Sanctum, because he hadn’t wanted to talk to anyone. He’d actually taken The Bifrost off Earth, flown all the way past the twin dwarf planets Pluto and Charon and into the Oort Cloud. There, he’d put the ship on autopilot to avoid any stray ice chunks, spun around in his chair, and screamed himself hoarse.
Had it helped? Debatable. Briefly, perhaps. It had made his throat hurt.
I just noticed the 'Did that help?' language is echoed here too, haha. Swear to god, I wrote this like 2-3 weeks ago.
Thanks for asking!

lol okay so I dashed off most of this the day of and then kept not posting it because I kept thinking I needed to add stuff, but then I ended up adding more stuff mostly in reblogs instead (should all be under the “my meta” tag if anyone’s curious) and now episode 2 is technically coming out tomorrow night in my time zone so obviously I need to just post this. bullet points of disconnected thoughts, some of which are probably at least slightly outdated by now but whatever, here you go
seems very possible Mobius left the tape with him on purpose because he figured Loki wouldn’t be able to resist looking at it
would have to check the timing but I’m pretty sure he started looking terrified as soon as Thanos came onscreen without really knowing the context (aside from the very basic outline of “it’s been several years and he reconciled with Thor”), which at least underscores that they weren’t buddies--Loki knew something awful was about to happen the second Thanos showed up sadly this is not true, the clip he sees first is him trying to stab Thanos, so...yeah it stands to reason that he’d know it was about to end badly no matter what
other people have mentioned this but I love that we got to see Loki just like...existing?? like I know he’s never been the protagonist before and seeing him as the protagonist has always been one of the things that’s excited me most about the show, but now that it’s here I’m just kind of struck by how HE’S THE PROTAGONIST so we’re getting all these emotions and little gestures and moments when he’s alone that we only got in tiny, sadly easy-to-overlook snatches before (and it also occurred to me that I don’t think we’ve ever seen Loki eat anything, which is something else that might change)
also his projection is fascinating, and so is the fact that he explicitly turned it around on himself, which seems relevant to all the theories about a lot of his other statements (”freedom is life’s great lie,” most of what he said to Natasha, etc.) being things that were drummed into him on Sanctuary rather than stuff he just came up with on his own, so that seems to cover a lot of the stuff he says in Avengers and here
on the other hand it seems unlikely we’re ever going to get confirmation that Bad Stuff happened to him on Sanctuary aside from what we already saw in Avengers, which is frustrating, although to be fair I also wasn’t expecting to see Loki crying about his family in the first episode (and the most I’m really hoping for, still, is that nothing will explicitly contradict the idea, so...we’re good on that thus far, I guess)
so the first half of the episode was...ehhh, I don’t know, but the second half was amazing. I know some people didn’t like that part either, but I felt like...okay, I don’t love him being humiliated so I would’ve preferred different framing for some of this BUT a lot of casual viewers still see Loki as a cackling caricature without having picked up on any of the stuff that very clearly showed otherwise, and this show wants to treat Loki as a person, someone worthy of audience sympathy, so they kind of had to go in hard and fast on that aspect to get everyone up to speed. like, yes, fans who’ve been paying attention know that Loki’s a person, that he’s wounded, that he doesn’t hurt people just because it’s fun for him, that he feels things very deeply, that he loves his family, but somehow the mainstream perception of him has missed like 85% of that, and the show’s just not going to have much impact unless it gets everybody on board with those very basic ideas. in terms of story structure it probably doesn’t make sense for this to be his lowest point, but starting from the bottom and eventually getting somewhere better is fairly standard, so at this point I can imagine tons of ways things could improve for him
yeah I do hate the whole Sacred Timeline thing, see also my posts about how much I loved that Endgame canonically (I thought) established multiple timelines where everything was fine, so yeah I’m pissed about that because it means those timelines were canonically pruned
like I don’t...hate it as a storytelling device? I just hate it for fandom reasons, and I’ve hated it in other fandoms when canon did something that seemed to open things up to all this incredible possibility and then went “actually no, we’re boxing it up again into this one specific Way That Things Happened” and for fanwork purposes it doesn’t matter all that much, I don’t think it’s actually that much harder to do AUs or go “okay well in this universe the TVA doesn’t exist, whatever” (in fact I wouldn’t be surprised if AO3 quickly develops a new canonical “not TVA compliant” tag for basically all Loki fic), but it is annoying that it’s now like “canonically, every AU is Not Allowed”, and if that ends up sticking as the status quo with the TVA considered good guys or at least a necessary evil then yeah, I’m going to be annoyed
HOWEVER
I don’t think that’s inevitable for a variety of reasons
this whole show is going to deal with multiverse shenanigans and so will Dr. Strange 2, so it seems completely possible that the end result could be a status quo of “there’s a multiverse actually and that’s fine” (...although yes, I’ll be doubly annoyed if the end result of this show is a restored multiverse of some kind and the end result of Dr. Strange 2 is condensing it back down to a single timeline)
the multiverse is a long-running comics tradition, which still seems to be the case even after...whatever event it was that collided a bunch of them and tried for a Highlander thing, look I wasn’t really following it and I know some characters ended up in other universes from where they started but I’m pretty sure we still have a multiverse of some kind
almost all the recent Loki-centric comics have focused on questions of fate and agency
Agent of Asgard in particular was about Loki eventually going “fuck you I won’t do what you tell me” and forging a new path (and, okay, it does seem like runs other than AoA have been the most influential here but again we’ve only seen one episode)
Loki, specifically, is an agent of chaos and change, like that’s his whole thing going way back to mythology, because sometimes stagnancy is death and chaos is healthy, and of course myth!Loki (and earlier versions of comics!Loki) is always responsible for triggering Ragnarok, which isn’t just the end of the world but is also a natural, crucial part of a cycle of renewal, and yes the MCU already did Ragnarok but that doesn’t at all mean they can’t play more with those ideas
Tom Hiddleston has brought up this specific point several times in recent interviews, that sometimes chaos is the one thing that's really needed
also, on Jimmy Kimmel the day of the episode, he kind of...planted a seed about the TVA maybe not being uncomplicated good guys because seriously what gives them the right to make these decisions for literally everyone
so at the very least I think it’s completely possible that things aren’t quite what they seem, and that for instance we’re supposed to discover that Mobius is consciously manipulating him to turn him into the type of tool the TVA wants him to be
also “the timeline wants to break free” shows up on a lot of merch, which does seem to indicate a free will vs. predestination theme
I’m not at all familiar with comics!TVA, although I understand they’re considered villains (although to be fair, so were the Skrulls, and at least thus far that’s been inverted for the MCU), but their whole thing reminded me of a few other entities in a way that could be relevant:
the tape running out was like the Norns cutting the thread of somebody’s life
Those Who Sit Above In Shadow in AoA (and also maybe whatever was below the God Quarry in Infinity Wars although I’m less familiar with that)
the gods in Cabin In The Woods, who were also kind of audience proxies in that they really just cared about the sacrifice being entertaining, which kinda seems like the only logical reason for the Timekeepers to prefer any given series of events over another
my personal hope for the series: the Timekeepers are ultimately the Big Bad and the rogue Loki variant is ultimately right in trying to wipe out the TVA (because sure I realize it’s maybe dumb of me but I still don’t want any Loki to be completely a bad guy!!); the major named TVA characters realize they’re the baddies actually and team up with a whole army of Lokis to take them down and GIVE US BACK OUR MULTIVERSE

TEW characters with a s/o who dresses in Lolita
Special thanks to my friend @mulberrywoodmagic for inspiring me and letting me use this prompt! ❤
Ruvik:
-Fucking LIVES for his s/o when they wear lolita, classic, hime and guro especially
-There’s something so regal and poised about the fashion style that he immediately loves it
-Not a big fan of OTT sweet however, he finds it a bit too childish and loud
-Will make his opinion and preference known but won’t really force their s/o to stop wearing it
-Will love dressing up to take them on the town, he won’t wear ouji but he’ll match a suit to your coord
-Loves when you hold onto his arm while walking together; just emulating old Victorian elegance is something he really loves to do and having you all dressed up  on his arm makes him so happy
-Will insist they wear lolita to formal events and Beacon fundraisers; mostly so he can show them off and just rub them in the face of Mobius and Jimenez
-Uses the family fortune to buy dresses and other things; any medical print exists and he’s first on the pre-order
-Will certainly be the plus one to meets and will 100% help them host afternoon tea at his manor
 Sebastian:
-Really doesn’t understand at all
-To him they look a little silly with all the ruffles and such but he can’t say the way his s/o beams while in their petticoat doesn’t make his heart melt
-He just loves to see them happy even if it’s by wearing some fashion he finds weird
-Won’t really care if they wear lolita to a formal occasion as he doesn’t really care to dress formal himself so if he has to attend something he enjoys throwing a little rebellion into the pot
-Thinks some of the prints are kinda cool with how intricate they get
-Will spit his coffee out every time he learns the cost of something
-He doesn’t really know how or where they buy all this stuff but if there is something special his s/o want’s he will chip in to help get it for them
-Will not attend meets because he just feels a little uncomfortable being the only one looking different
-Will however, help make food for a meet if their s/o is hosting at their house or participating in a pot luck
 Joseph:
-Loves lolita fashion, he thinks its adorable
-It doesn’t matter which style, he loves it all and that people are so passionate about it
-His all-time favorite style is country, it’s so simple but still has all the hallmarks of lolita
-It doesn’t even have to be a special occasion for him to want to take his s/o out while their in lolita, he thinks they should wear it whenever they want
-Would 10/10 fully support lifestyle lolita
-Would suggest more classical or aristocrat style for more formal events
-Will 100% get a custom made ouji coord so they can wear the fashion together
-Would 100% die if his s/o twinned with him, 210% if his s/o wore ouji as well
-Will attend meets when he can, in ouji and the comm just loves him
-He’s just as much a part of the local comm as his s/o is
-He and his s/o host multiple meets a year often times being the go to for the annual ILD meet

Non Omis Moriar [2]
Fandom: Avengers Pairing: Tony Stark & Son!Reader Summary: Not all of you shall die, so it’s all or none.  Word Count: 3,762 A/n: ANGST ANGST, I hope this makes sense plot line. Also, I apologise for like basically writing the plot out again, you get the gist. Part one here!
Tumblr media
“That’s not how time travel works,” You responded dryly.
Your eyes on your new suit as Scott tries to grab your attention, but you give him no consideration. He sighs as he watches you rewire your suit, stats on the screen for you.
“In Layman's terms, it means you're not coming home,” You continued as you sighed, put your tools down and looked at Scott.
“I did.”
“No, you accidentally survived. It's a billion to one cosmic fluke,” You responded, sighing, “Look, Scott, as much as I want to believe, this whole time heist is laughable, it’s a pipedream.”
“You have to be optimistic, (Y/n).”
You looked behind Scott and see Bruce, glowering over the two of you at the Avengers base, specifically in your dad’s lab. Bruce smiles at you as you shake your head, scoffing.
“Bruce, I’m not the one to preach about optimism, that’s Steve’s sort of rodeo but what have you been doing for the past year? You’ve lost to Thanos both times in both forms - look at you.”
“But, I’m willing to do something if it means we can save people, I know it’s not you or your thing to save people, but we’re the only people left. Remember what Natasha always says?”
“Whatever it takes.” Sighing, you shake your head, “I can’t, Bruce, I’m sorry.”
Bruce nods, leaving as Scott sends you one last look but as he watches you play with the screens of the stats of your suit - he leaves you be. A year had passed since the snap and all you’ve been doing is fixing Avengers’ equipment, updating the little things as you don’t have their suit.
Isolating yourself.
You made your own suit, the one you and your dad made was hard for you to work on because you made it with your dad. It’s didn’t feel right for you to work on something you and your dad made.
Within the year, you’ve been taking medication for sleep too. Nightmares of the time on Titans kept you all night and when you’re sleep deprived the voice and vision of your dad appears. No matter how much you want to see your dad, you were not going insane.
Within the year, the bond between you and Bruce had become strained, you don’t call him uncle anymore, not out of malice, but a family doesn’t seem complete anymore in your heart.
“I’m blaming Strange,” You muttered to yourself.
“Sir, you’re talking to yourself again.”
“It’s okay, Fri,” You reassured, smiling to yourself.
Friday has been ultra protective you, she may be an AI but in a sense, she was like your sister as Tony created her. Protecting her big brother from losing himself. Friday lost Tony, Pepper, Rhodey. She was not going to lose you in any circumstances.
“Hey, Fri?”
“Yes?”
“New project,” You called out as you watched Bruce and Scott figure something out across the building.
Glass walls work wonders, you move your suit to the side and Friday brings up a new slate of holograms for you to mess around.
“Hey, kid,” You hear your dad’s voice next to you, you could sense him probably leaning against the table to examine what you’re up to, “What are you doing?”
“Sir, what is this new project?”
You looked off to the distance as you smile to yourself, a mirror across the way. You looked at yourself and the hallucination of your dad next to you, you look too much alike. Same snarky smile of pure happiness and a confident stance.
“Thanos knows Stark men, he invaded my dreams since I was a child and corrupted my dad’s mind, if Strange says I’m needed then I’ll damn well avenge my father.”
Tumblr media
“Hey,”
You jumped at the sudden voice of your dad in your ear, rubbing your eyes out of sleep as you realised that you’ve been sleeping in the lab,
“What day is it?”
“You’ve been passed out for two days sir, you fell asleep the moment you sat down, you haven’t even started your new project.”
“Way for a dramatic flair,” You commented as the AI buzzed in amusement, “What’s going on with shorty and Professor Green?”
“I believe they are ninety per cent in finishing what you have called time-heist.”
You nodded, “I’ll start it after I get food.”
When you had returned back to base Bruce and Scott was nowhere to find as you sat down and got to work. You didn’t know how long you were in the lab for as you reclined in the chair, groaning, your head hurts.
“By the looks of Scott and Bruce out there, Scott turned into a baby?”
Friday didn’t respond as she pulls up the video of Scott and Bruce wild attempt of time travel, as you chuckle as they were entertaining, you shake your head. your shoulders tensing. Getting back to work into the nightfall.
“Look at a mod inspiration, let me see what check out. So, recommend one last sim before we pack it in for the night. This time, in the shape of a Mobius strip, inverted, please.
”Processing...”
Friday was processing as you wandered around the lab, kicking a soccer ball into the glass walls, you could hear your dad scowling at you for leaving ball prints on the clean glass.
“Give me that eigenvalue. That, particle factoring, and a spectral decomp. Gotta take a second.”
“Just a moment.”
“And don't worry if it doesn't pan out. I'm just kinda-” You were interrupted by Friday.
“Model rendered.”
In a complete shock of amazement, the render comes back as successful. You smacked the ball so hard into the glass that it bounced back into your face, but you didn’t care because you were too bewildered by this discovery.
“Holy fuckin’ shit,” You breathed, then laughing in joy, opening the door of the lab, “Bruce, Scott!”
They peaked out, seeing a stupid grin on your face, Bruce couldn’t help but smile. It’s been a while since you smiled like that, it’s been a while since you got excited over something.
“Call Nebs, we’re doing a time heist...”
“Aw hell yeah!” Scott celebrated.
Bruce looks over to you, watching smile to yourself, you glanced up and did a small nod to his way.
“I’ll make suits, it’ll be the four of us and we need a test run, Scott, you’re up for it?”
“Hell yeah, I am,”
Tumblr media
“Okay, so the "how" works. Now we gotta figure out the when and the where.” Bruce speaks as he looks at the three remaining people of heroes.
“That’s easy,” Bruce looks at you with a raised eyebrow, “With all data collected throughout the almost ten years you guys have been Avengers, it has the location of most Infinity stones.”
You looked at the blank face of the green giant, you scoffed as Bruce shakes his head, “I’m confused.”
“Am I seriously the only one who reads the paperwork after your missions and I’m not even part of the team, man.”
“Well... You and your dad are very much alike,” Bruce offers weakly as you pulled a face.
“Anyway...”
As you started your rambling with Bruce trying to write everything down despite Friday recalling your words and putting on the hologram, two stones were talked about by Nebula, after a short silence of awkwardness as she mentions that her sister was murdered by their dad, Thanos. You, Nebula, Bruce and Scott examine the screens.
The holograms displaying the different location, the Soul and Power stones in space in 2014. the Reality stone in Asgard, 2013; and the Space, Mind, and Time stones in New York City 2012.
“Bruce, Scott, you two will go to New York City, Nebula and I will go to Asgard and space,” You initiated s they all nodded.
You never thought you would come to a point that you were a leader, in fact, you hated taking responsibility, you hated leading stuff and people looking up to you for direction - it was too much greatness upon your shoulders in your eyes.
“Don’t fuck it up,” You narrowed your eyes, “I mean it-”
“Yes, sir-” Scott says as you looked at him weirdly, “I mean, Mr Stark, er, no, (Y/n).”
As you suit up, you stare at the old suit that you built with your dad, packing it up into a compressed case and held it together on the transporter. Nebula and Scott give you funny looks but you decided to ignore it.
“Alright, simple in and out mission,” you called out one last time, “Whatever it takes.”
Tumblr media
“You know, to obtain the soul stone you have to sacrifice something, Nebula came back with you,” Bruce says as you looked at him annoyed as you tried to assemble a gauntlet.
“The suit, dad and I made together,” You responded, you shoulders deflating, “Technically, it’s last thing I have of him, not the lab, not his tools, not even Friday. Scrap metal of memories left of my dad. I have nothing left of him. I need my dad back, even if it’s the last thing I do.”
Bruce nods, “Carol hasn’t responded to your messages.”
“It’s fine, I’ve been updating her anyway,”
“You talk to her?”
“She’s a good listener,” You shrugged your shoulder, “Even if I’m talking to her through a hologram. Now, uncle Bruce, silence would be nice.”
Bruce opened his mouth before shutting it closed when you give him a pointed look, you cast your eyes towards the gauntlet again as you picked up the stones gently. With nervous precision, you manipulate the machine and carefully places all six stones into the gauntlet.
“Alright, the glove is ready, the question is who will wear it and bring everyone back?” Bring the iron man like gauntlet out to show to Scott and Bruce, “Where’s Nebula?”
“Toilet?”
“Androids can go to the toilet?” You asked Scott, tilting your head at the man who answered your question.
“It’s 2019 man, anything is possible.”
You gave it some consideration as you agreed as you looked at the two men, you placed the gauntlet down on the table to suit up for any accident, your new suit is something you’ve been working on a few months, full of your ideas and ideas that you found from your dad’s blueprints of your old suit.
“I’ll do it,” Bruce calls out as Scott and you looked up at the half man half hulk, “But the radiation's mostly gamma,” He takes a good look at the gauntlet, “It's like...uh...I was made for this.”
You nod as you helped Bruce place the gauntlet on, watching the metal adjust to the size of his big hand. Scott and you took a few steps back as Bruce lets out a shaky breath.
“You remember... everyone Thanos snapped away a year ago and just bringing them back to now, today. Don't change anything from the last year.”
“Got it.”
“Hey, Friday, do me a favour and activate dad’s Protocol 8,” You called out as the facility goes down into lockdown.
You bring your mask down of your metal suit as you watch Scott do the same thing. Bruce starts to bring his thoughts into what he wants, electricity running through, Bruce was grunting in pain. You wince to see him in pain.
“Uncle Bruce?”
“I’m good!” Bruce managed to spit out, “I’m okay!”
Bruce screams, fighting through the intense pain coursing through his body courtesy of the gauntlet, and manages to snap his fingers. He faints and the gauntlet slides off his arm. You kick the gauntlet away as you and Scott looked over the giant.
“Brucie?” You asked, your mask coming down as you cooled down his burnt arm.
“Did I do it?”
Scott looks outside, it was brighter and birds were chirping, Bruce managed to open his eyes and see your smiling face.
“The grass is always greener on the other side,” You say as Scott laughs, looking relieved.
You looked over to Scott with a smile, hoping you’ve completed what you wanted to do, hoping you have your dad back as you looked back at Banner, a smile had fallen off his lips. Looking up the skyline and seeing the Sanctuary II up in the sky and a single missile heading towards the base blowing away Scott away. Then a continuous array of missiles destroys the base completely.
Tumblr media
“Sir?”
You groaned at the voice of Friday, you get up to your feet and see Thanos sitting by. You breathed heavily, your suit covered in ash and dirt.
“Bruce, Scott?” You called out to your comm, it felt funny for you to be participating in hero action as you were not a hero yourself.
“We have the gauntlet,” Scott calls out, he sounds drowned out, “We’re underground but we can make it out.”
“Keep that damn thing away from Thanos,” You growled.
Your suit whirling, tightening. You breathed heavily, it all or nothing. You started to make your way down there, Thanos smirking as he recognised you when he has been invading your dreams as a little boy.
“You could not live with your own failure. And where did that bring you? Back to me. I thought by eliminating half of life, the other half would thrive. But you’ve shown me that’s impossible. And as long as there are those that remember what was, there will always be those that are unable to accept what can be. They will resist.”
You rolled your eyes at his monologue, “Yeah, we’re all types of stubborn.”
“I'm thankful. Because now, I know what I must do.” He stands up, “I will shred this universe down to its last atom. And then...With the stones you've collected for me, create a new one. Teeming with life, but knows not what it has lost but only what it has been given. A grateful universe.”
You put your mask up as he placed his helmet on, “As long as I’m alive, I’ll be damned.”
“I’ve admired you, (Y/n) Stark, from your pretty little dreams, I find a lot of interesting information about you. You are courageous, I commend you for that. But, unfortunately, as much I would love to keep you around, I can’t have you stand in the way.”
“Tough.”
You weren’t a skilled fighter, but you knew the basic of the Iron Man suits. You were able to hold him back off, and in fact, you were surprising yourself in how well you were fighting a Titan.
Smacking you into debris as you stumble to stand up, using energy to blast Thanos before he gives you one last kick to the ground. Spitting blood into your suit as you pant, struggling to get onto your feet.
“In all my years of conquest...violence...slaughter... It was never personal. But I'll tell you now... what I'm about to do to your stubborn, annoying little planet... I'm gonna enjoy it. Very, very much.”
Thanos’ entire army is summoned to the ground which includes the Children of Thanos, Chitauri, Outriders. Upon seeing the army descending on Earth, you straighten your back with a fierce determination, you allowed your suit to self-repair and stand against Thanos' giant army alone. Suddenly, a crackling comes in on his communicator.
AC/DC blaring in your ear.
“Hey, kid!”
You stopped, now is not the time to have a hallucination of your dad.
“Kid? You hear me? Sonny boy?” The playful tease of your dad called into your ear. “(Y/n), incoming!”
You pulled down your mask in confusion as you looked around, seeing a yellow portal open up at your left. Three members walk out with two flying above. The original team. Your dad landing on your right with Cap on your left. Natasha on Steve’s left whilst Thor stood on a rock behind you with Clint comes next to your dad.
Another portal opens up, three figures step through; Okoye, Shuri, and Black Panther, fully restored and ready to fight with Sam zooms in from above in his Falcon armour.
Dozens of more portals opening up all around the battlefield. Through one of these, we see Doctor Strange descend in. He is joined by Drax, Mantis, Star-Lord, and Spider-Man.
Everyone watches in confusion and awe as more and more heroes arrive from all corners of the universe, all backed up with forces of their own including Black Panther and his Wakandan army, Valkyrie and the Asgardians, Wong and the Masters of the Mystic Arts and several Ravager ships.
Amongst the throngs of heroes, we see Bucky, War Machine, Rocket, Groot, the Scarlet Witch, the Wasp, and Pepper Potts (clad in her own iron suit) arrive. Nearly every hero has magically been transported to the battlefield to face Thanos' hordes.
“Please, say I’m not hallucinating,” You muttered to yourself, but Tony puts a hand on your shoulder.
“You’re sane, (Y/n).”
You huffed out a burst of laughter, Tony smiles missing your smile and laughter, “Scott? Bruce?”
Giant-Man emerges from the rubble of the Avengers facility with Professor Hulk. The Avengers, Guardians, Wakandans, Asgardians, and Ravagers take up battle positions. The heroes standing across Thanos' forces.
“Your call, kid,” Steve says to you, patting your shoulder, he figured that you were taking lead.
You pulled your mask up, taking your stance as your side looking at the other side. Thanos makes a fist of fury, angry at the outcome. You saved people, you brought them back, you were not letting them go.
“Avengers Assemble!”
Tumblr media
“That thing needs to go back where it belongs!” You shouted in the midst of the fighting, Scott had dropped the gauntlet and with Clint, “He might have broken the quantum tunnel but we need another time machine!”
“The van!” Scott calls out as your team hears you groan.
“Anyone see an ugly brown van anywhere?” You yelled, punching one enemy away from you.
Valkyrie answers back it’s whereabouts as Cint passed the gauntlet over to T’Challa, who was far quicker than Clint.
“Hey kid,” Tony greets, pausing in his fighting to lift his mask up, you do the same.
“Dad,” You breathed out, embracing him into a hug, “I’ve missed you,”
“I missed you too, bud,” Tony sighs happily, kissing your cheek, “I love you son.”
“I love you too dad.”
The gauntlet managed to get into Peter’s grasp as he flew on the back of Valkyrie's Pegasus. Wanda keeping Thanos preoccupied as the cannons of the ship starts aiming towards the battlefield before it all turned up to the sky.
“What’s going on?” Steve calls out.
“Friday, what are they firing at?” You hear your dad through the communication, as you paused your blasting, looking up to the sky.
“Something just entered the upper atmosphere,” Friday replied.
You smirked, “Hey Carol!”
Captain Marvel flies through the ship, and it results in an explosion and the ship crash-landing in the lake, she hovers over and waves at you.
“Hey, little guy,”
“We need an assist here, Carol!”
As Carol makes her way to the van, you, Tony and Peper form a hovering triangle, blasting in each angel as you spin in a circle, having your back faced to each other. You, Tony and Steve all head over to where Carol was. She flies through all of them easily and reaches Thanos. She keeps punching him, but he knocks her to the ground, wears the gauntlet and tries to snap. But Captain Marvel arises again and stops his fingers from snapping.
Thanos headbutts her, but it does nothing.
Thanos pulls the Power Stone out of the Gauntlet and uses it in his free hand to hit Captain Marvel away, then puts the stone back into the Gauntlet.
“(Y/n)!” You turn to see Strange with a questioning look, “You’re needed!”
Strange simply raise one finger, reminding you that the one win over Thanos he foresaw is now at risk. You breathed heavily, everything sounded muted out as you watch the team you grew up and admired struggle. You could hear in the background Steve shouting orders as well as your dad.
You just got your dad back, and yet you were easily going to make the decision that he will live. You nod and attack Thanos, pulling on the Gauntlet before Thanos punches you away.
“(Y/n)!” Tony shouts in desperation at the attack.
You were on your knees, back straight as you looked at the Titan King, “I am the new beginning.”
Thanos snaps his fingers, but nothing happens except a metallic "clink." He sees the Infinity Stones are missing. You have the stones on your own gauntlet, to Thanos' shock
“I think not.”
You snap your fingers with a loud "CLANG" and a blinding flash of white. Rocket fires at a Leviathan and before it devours him, it crumbles into ash. The Black Order starts crumbling to ash. T'Challa and Quill look around in surprise; Steve looks on in exhaustion, knowing that they won.
Thanos, in horror, looks around and sees his entire army disintegrate. He looks at Steve, who just stares at him. Thanos sits down and mourns before slowly being erased from existence himself.
Tony snaps his head over to you, your metal suit releases you from inside as you crumble down onto the floor.
“Kid? Buddy? (Y/n)?” Tony frantically calls out as he gets out of his own suit.
He runs up to you, pulling you into his arms. Your breathing is shallow and your right side is completely destroyed as he clutches you tight in desperation. Pepper, Rhodey and Peter all fly over to you.
“Come on, (Y/n), you’re gonna make it,” Tony’s voice cracked, crumbled, tears forming and staining his cheeks.
“My sweet boy,” Pepper coos, fixing your hair as tears were building up in everyone eyes.
Peter gasping, unable to breathe, he found a family, a brother who would tease him and love him no matter what, fading quickly. Rhodey looking at his godson, Tony was not a religious man but they all pray for a God now.
“I did....” You croaked out, you stare at your dad, “it for you, dad...”
“You’ve done me proud, you always make me proud,” Tony chokes, pulling you closer, allowing you to rest your head on his shoulder, your face buried into his neck, “I love you.”
He could see your mouth move, but nothing seems to come out but he hears one last thing, Tony Stark breaks down. He gets you back, you did it for him, only for him to hear your last breath.
Not all of you shall die, Tony decides, your legacy will continue.

For the salty asks: 1,2,3,3,5,27,9 Hope you don't mind that it's this many!💕
Sorry dear that it took so long but now I put my ass down and answered these asks. They were not too many and I appreciated them very much. Thank you
At the moment I’m mostly into three fandoms which are The Evil Within, Death Note and, also, HxH - though I’ve shamelessly mistreated the latter. But I’ll put it in since I think it’s the most interesting one for you. :)
1 What OTPs in your fandom(s) do you just not get?
It’s often rather “I’m just not into it” than “not getting it”, I suppose. Taking a good long look at things and theories, headcanons, you name it, almost everything can be somehow justified aka become shippable.
HxH: Tbh there is no OTP here I don’t “get”. The ones I know of seem rather plausible.
Death Note: Light x L -> It’s funny sometimes but actually I just don’t feel it.
The Evil Within: Ruvik x Leslie or Sebastian x Leslie -> I know why the ideas are promising but I’m not fond of them. The only things I ship Leslie with are a blanket, hot cocoa and his favourite show on TV. This boy is older than me but I want him to see well-fed, protected and capable of being happy on his own, nothing else.
2 Are there any popular fandom OTPs you only BroTP?*
HxH: Hisoka and Illumi -> I want them to be the best bros which they kinda are in canon… well, as much being bros as they are able to aka can handle.
Also to be honest Gon and Killuah -> Their friendship was so pure and it broke my heart when they had to part like that in the manga :’(. I’d rather see them strenghtening their bond anew instead of ever falling in love with each other. Friendship is love too, if only another kind anyway.
The Evil Within: Sebastian and Joseph -> Do not get me wrong I KNOW where that’s coming from. Friends to lovers and stuff. But since Sebastian’s life is so fucked up in general, I’d rather like to see him with someone he can trust and who has his back no matter what - without all the complications a romantic relationship brings.
3 Have you ever unfollowed someone over a fandom opinion?
Oh boy, yes I have. Often. Because soon as I detect a huge wave of negativity coming from someone about anything I like, I immediately unfollow or block. It’s not about having a different opinion, it’s more about blasting your foul mood up in the air like some stench of “karma”. I often go with my gut feelings with this one.
4 Do you have a NoTP in your fandom? Are they a popular OTP? (I thought maybe you meant that)
HxH: I think I’d have to count Hisoka x Killuah in for that. Aside from the fact that Illumi would peel Hisoka’s dick like a banana first, I doubt they’d make a good team in any way -> aside from that one time in the Greed Island Arc.
The Evil Within: … Hm. Well, even though it is canon that Sebastian and Mary were married and have once been happy together, I really don’t like them as a couple. I also don’t trust her being a Mobius agent and all. I’m pretty sure TEW2 will shed some light regarding this (and some reasons a la she HAD to do it blah blah pastries and waffle cake), but it’d be better for Sebastian in my opinion to finally let her go for good. The boi needs to heal.
5 Has fandom ever ruined a pairing for you?
Yes, more than once. It was not only fandom itself but specific people which were all so big in terms of “how to ship this pairing PROPERLY” and “Ships you ARE NOT ALLOWED TO SHIP” - literally everything that seemed not-canon or OOC-like was rather draining for me than fun. Which is why I don’t like to indulge in theories on the internet too much. I prefer to create my own fantasies about that.
9 Most disliked character(s)? Why?
HxH: I do not like Gin. At all. Really not. Nu-uh. He is a human trashcan and I don’t think of him as a “cute” trashcan but a horrible, stinky trashcan made for very rude and very heavy trash. I also would have rather liked Gon to punch him in the throat than having a “father - son lovey-dovey time” at the moment. Gon might forgive him for leaving him with Miso and not visiting him even one fucking time because he is a literal angel but I’m surely not and forgiveness is not in my book here.
Death Note: I don’t like Near. Somehow doesn’t click with me. Which is the first time I’m not head over heels for a white-haired character by the way. Well, there’s always a first time for everything.
The Evil Within: Marcelo Jimenez can go straight to hell where he probably is at the moment waiting his flat ass down at the reception. Ernesto Victoriano can choke on a fork too. And a chainsaw. And a piano for all I care. The cadaver creatures are evil and nasty, they were the ones giving me the most creeps.
27 Least shippable character?
HxH: Milluki hands down. No, his dolls do NOT count I’m talking about ships with breathing charas on both sides of the equation.
Death Note: Girl you can ship everybody in there even the Death note itself (that hoe wanna be filled all the time)
The Evil Within: Valerio Jimenez. But honestly, who the f does want to SHIP him? You can’t even ship his hair with a comb because he doesn’t have aNY HAIR LEFT DUDE.
