Hello my little grieving friends (aka my CREW!)

I just want to talk about how much our flag means death has given me. I have not had internet friends since i were a teenager. They all kind of disapeared over time in the same way as high school classmates went away. I have been on this blog on tumblr since 2010 and i have never experienced what ofmd has given me. Not even in my very derranged ca 5 year long sherlock-era did i get to befriend and know this many amazing people who live in my phone. Some of you have come and gone and that is life, but some of you are still here and I hope I get to keep you here for a very long time. Max can not stop us and I want to be here with you until tumblr is put down like the beloved rabid pet it is.

I think we are all taking the news very hard and I think it's important to remember what it is all about really. It's about love and family and above all else the crew so i just want to show some love for my beloved mutuals. And i hope maybe some of you will be inspired to do the same because its what we need in these dark times. We need to be a lighthouse guiding each other to shore.

First of all @gentlebeard - Ella💕 my beloved honey 🍯 I can not explain properly or even believe how lucky I am that I found you and that I get a little good morning from you every day. We have been talking every single day since the first message over a year ago and I don't remember or want to remember how i survived before that. I will treasure the time i spent drinking pina coladas on your balcony in the sun forever and i hope i will get some more time on that balcony this summer. I have found a pirate bar in Sweden so we can continue our expensive pirate drinks theme that we started in Berlin. There is no one else i want to spend 6-8 hours talking to over the phone.💕My partner in crime, lasagna partner and floor person or whatever nicknames we have come up with during this time. You are not just the perfect friend to have, you are also funny, sweet, smart and a expert at making fanvideos that make me cry my heart out and laugh my lungs up - sometimes at the same time 💕💕

@blakbonnet - Meow my darling💕 you were the first one i really started to talk to in the fandom and i am so glad i did. You brighten my days and i love talking to you you brilliant humanbeing (i often find myself thinking i have listened to much to cabin pressure because i struggle to use any other word than brilliant to explain things.. the Arthur runs deep in me) also thank you for being my personal skincare guide in life!! Your fics, your art, your edits, your gifs, your meta the whole you make my dash a better place and we are all happy to have you! There is nothing you are not good at and i am both a bit jealus and impressed by you. Its Meows fandom we all just live in it 💕💕

@youshouldseemeinadeerstalker - Nes my dear💕 We may not be talking very often but I know I always have you there. I loved our vacation together and we had so much to talk about that we didn't even realize that the same song kept playing in my car so long that it messed up my spotify wrapped. It was amazing taking naps with you outside ruins of castles and in botanical gardens and living together in the worlds smallest hotel room. I hope we can get lost together in more cities than Hamburg and Copenhagen. (preferably without rain and sickness and maybe with a map) 💕💕

@darkinerry - Marlena 💕 its a pleasure getting weather and work updates from you and i am always interested in knowing what you have been up to and what you have to say. It brightens my day, please never stop!! Your videos and gifsets can make any day better and you are always kind and funny which are two things i appreciate hugely in my friends!! 💕💕 + You have the coolest haircut out of all my mutuals 😌

HAZBIN HOTEL! RANDOM THOUGHTS.

I’m hitting on Sherlock Phones yall.

Someone help this man.

Someone PLEASE help this man.

Let's be real with ourselves lonely sinners, vox is not the man we need but he is the man we fawn for. I’ve done a lot of research on his character, his voice actor, his background and his main focus in hazbin hotel just to come up with the most canon version I can write him as.

He is NOT “that guy”. Vox is conniving, manipulative, egotistical, rude,and has been described as not “a nice person” by Vizi herself.

I'm pretty sure he was the “where my hug at?” guy back in college for computer science and theater arts. The guy who no one liked; laughed at not with and continuously thought that everyone was intimidated by him because no one wanted to approach him. Yet it was really because— No one thought he was cool whatsoever.

Of course this man took dance lessons and acting classes, his mind is quite literally a computer even back when he was alive. Vox understands the concept behind “good television” and how to appease his audience.

The lack of attention in his life to early childhood/adulthood was made up when he became a TV host. Vox wanted everyone to love him just so he could push them away and be this “Awesome guy who's too busy and successful for everyone”.

He totally speaks to everyone like they are 4-12 years old. Someone could be older than him, taller, or stronger and he’s just going to immediately deem them imperior to him because of his success.

“My dear, whatever could be the problem?”

“Awe cupcake, are you sad? panties in a twist? Is your bra too tight or are you just going through shark week?”

Vox will literally say one phrase when he knows things aren't going his way.

“Let’s think about this.” Not TALK– THINK. Let's THINK about this.

And darling, he’s not talking to himself but to you and again, immediately placing you underneath him–trying to have you use that “big brain of yours”

This man will plant shit in your head causing you to draw conclusions about things so you can focus entirely on what HE wants. As done with Valentino in episode 2 SE1; when valentine is flipping his shit and all vox does is control the situation.

He’ll flip his shit, igniting fear into the person he’s talking to, allowing the victim to find him ‘scary’ enough to break into submission and shut their mouth.

He’ll take this time to plant thoughts into their head. “What do you think going half cocked around hell to find angel dust will do to our image?”---”U-uh.. fuck it up?” DING DING DING. “Good boy/girl”

And then praise when they come to their “senses” (What he wants them to do)

“Such a big brain you have, you’re so smart.”

“Aren't you a pretty doll? hm?”

“That’s right baby, I knew you had it in you.” No he didn’t, you surprised him but he’s gonna take on the ‘caring best man role’ to cover up his surprise.

He gets hard easily. Don't ask me how I know, I just do.

ok so I really wanna write like a whole freaking series of events for him, just one shots and I’m interested in all kinds of ideas, these are really just random thoughts that came to my mind while writing. SH – :More Every Minute: (FTH #3 for @totallysilvergirl) Procreate on iPad Pro

[...] In Ch. 4 [of my fic Both Sides Now], John unexpectedly announces that after the night they’ve spent TOGETHER together, he has to break up with Mary. Sherlock didn’t see that coming, didn’t dare to hope for it, and flings himself to his knees and embraces John around the waist (John’s sitting in a hotel armchair). They’ve both still got their dyed hair etc. and are wearing white hotel bathrobes.

FINALLY, at zero hour with 2 days to spare, here's pic three of three for my @fandomtrumpshate pieces for 2023! The AMAZING @totallysilvergirl gave me a selection of scenes I could try to draw from their BEAUTIFUL fanfic, Both Sides Now, Of course I chose the HARDEST one to draw because I SUCK at background elements, but I was determined to give them something that would do their story some justice, because it is VERY sweet (the other options probably would have been easier to draw, but this scene specifically made me melt) and I love it!

So yes, this is John and Sherlock, after spending a night together... they're undercover hence why their hairs are different colours, and in the story John has brown contacts as well, but I really wanted to MAKE this John, so decided he took them out LOL (I genuinely don't remember if Silver wrote that he took them out, but they didn't mind I made this creative choice).

As I mentioned, I have a hard time with scenery and such, so I lately try to do things a bit more complex for other people so I can get comfy with doing it. Silver seemed to really like the piece though, despite my reservations about it, so I'm happy that they're happy.

AND I am shocked I got this done on time... I was SO nitpicky with the colours on this one, so I am glad I got it done within deadline of December 31, LOL.

Title is from this beautiful line in the scene being depicted:

John’s moral compass isn’t blind, no, it’s as pragmatic as it is honourable, and Sherlock loves him more every minute, more than he knew he could love anyone, even John.

Everyone please go give Silver's fic Both Sides Now a read, it's really lovely and can be done in one sitting!! It's just a bit over 14K w. <3

Heyooo I decided to make a post for my interests and fandoms separate to my other one. this one with the goal to be a little more organized.

My name is Becca and I have been writing for the better part of my life (since I was 10 and cringe and am now in mid twenties). I have a bit of an ADHD hyperfixation problem so I love diving into my favorite characters and stories. Its one of the greatest forms of entertainment as an adultish person.

I love writing angst and fluff but I dont write smut. Im asexual so it just doesnt really appeal to me. I dont mind slight intimacy. I can do any length but I prefer to plan and talk with partners before deciding on anything!

HOTD Inktober

Hey guys, I am planning to draw some halloween inspired art for our favorite HOTD characters. Keep in mind, I'm a busy college student so I might not finish all these by Halloween — I might not even complete the list at all — but I'll try to draw for as many days as I can and drag the challenge out into November to give me more time. So I suppose I'll just have to postpone all my art ideas for her til next Halloween. This goes for Cregan Stark, Gwayne Hightower, and Alyssane Blackwood too. (Ugh, I have a spooky idea for Cregan that goes something along the lines of "there's something lurking under the ice".)

I've apparently had this fanfic idea lying around in my docs for ages and I have a feeling I'm not going to write it because it's a mashup of Sherlock Holmes with Dorian Grey and I haven't got plans to reread Dorian Grey anytime soon, so... enjoy this rough outline I guess.

Holmes has been engaged to investigate the disappearance of the socialite Dorian Grey. An elderly man has been found stabbed, but wearing Dorian’s rings, next to a strange painting.

Holmes investigates Dorian’s past and discovers that the painter of the portrait (Basil Hayward) vanished after supposedly going to France.

He and Watson both travel to France. Throughout this section of the story, Watson should be written in the most stereotypically Jam Watson way possible - the bumbling comic relief. “Well I never, Holmes! However did you deduce that! I say!” etc etc. Holmes manages to track down a traumatised Basil Hayward who was disfigured by an attack (but the signs of him being a painter are all on him, to Holmes!)

Basil explains his story how he made a Faustian deal and his friend Dorian’s soul and the painting became linked. Holmes listens, but does not believe it.

The fact that he has come all the way to France to be fobbed off with fairy stories infuriates him, and he mooches around his and Watson’s hotel in a funk. Suddenly, Watson’s attitude changes. He sits Holmes down and explains that everything Basil said is true - the reason he knows it is true is because he personally has committed the same sin.

He adored Holmes, and wished desperately to immortalise him with his pen. Wished desperately enough that... something... heard him, and granted that wish.

At first all was well, Holmes legacy and immortality was assured, but over time he has changed from being a real man to an idea.

From being flesh and blood, to being a character.

Once, he (Watson) was a valued friend, now he is just there to ask questions and be silent, nothing more than a habit.

“I have explained all this to you before, Holmes. You will forget. You have a great mind, but to understand this requires a great heart, and I do not know if you have that left. I am sorry. I am so, so sorry.”

The next day they head home for London. Sure enough, Holmes has apparently forgotten all about this revelation and is busy explaining how he solved the case of how Dorian Grey was killed (a humdrum explanation) but he feels it isn’t one for Watson’s books.

Then - the Three Garridebs moment.

Watson is shot, and for a moment it is an echo of the old Holmes which Watson sees, fighting the curse to get out to him. For a moment, it's the old loyalty and love there again.

It gives Watson hope that his friend isn’t totally lost to the curse.

While Watson is recovering from his injury, Holmes writes a story (The Lion’s Mane), leaves it for Watson to find, and disappears.

After reading the story, Watson realises what Holmes has done: by writing a retirement story for himself, he’s broken himself free from the spell - allowing the myth of Sherlock Holmes to live on, but the real man to slip off into obscurity.

Watson goes to find him in Sussex, and discovers that he is back to his old self again - the man tending the bees with joyful exuberance is the same human man who worked with chemicals in the lab at St Barts.

The curse is broken, but Holmes gives a note of caution:

“I believe we must mostly stay apart, dear fellow. You have made ‘Holmes and Watson’ together have a touch of the mythic, and I believe that curse will begin to stir once more should our association remain too close. The occasional weekend visit, however, I feel cannot do much harm.”

“I have made you give up everything you love. I have condemned you to be alone.”

“Not so, Watson. The art of detection was my vocation, certainly, but you have forgotten that I have had many interests in my life. I wished to be a beekeeper long before I wished to be a consulting detective.”

Watson is going to get the train back to London, overjoyed that Holmes is well, but heartbroken that they cannot see each other often lest they wake the curse. He isn't sure what to do now. He has no desire to go back into medical practice.

He ends up overhearing about the need for a schoolmaster at a local coaching establishment. He says he would be willing it take on the job.

He gives his name as Stackhurst.
