ft: Takemichi Hanagaki, Ken Ryuguji, Izana Kurokawa, Manjiro Sano
Because when the end of the world takes your lover from you, what else can you do but search for her endlessly?
"I just need help!" Takemichi yelled at the men on top of the makeshift gates. Cars, trucks, even porches were used to create the effective barrier. "Look!" He held up a photo, "I just need help finding this woman!"
The men laughed at him and told him they weren't some search and rescue team. Of course they'd say that, Takemichi thought, why should they risk their lives to help solve my problem? He'd never been in lower spirits and it made him want to curl up and die. His wife, his beautiful wife, was gone. Taken and never returned by the stupid circumstances they found themselves in. The end of the world seems so impossible until you're staring down the maw of another human who's brainless and wants to eat yours.
Months passed, the cold weather setting in and making his hope of finding you shrivel up. Japan was huge, but maybe word could still get around, maybe you'd still come back to him. Or at the very least he could find your corpse wandering around searching for an arm to gnaw on. Hell, maybe he'd even let you take him out. That didn't sound like such a bad way to go. Lost in his thoughts, Takemichi didn't notice the group of survivors circling him in the department store. Or maybe he had? He couldn't tell anymore, all he wanted was his wife.
"Hey." He jolted at the sudden hand on his chest, "Our boss wants you."
Takemichi scoffed out a laugh, walking around they guy while saying something about minding his own business and not pissing anyone off. "Seriously?" Another person came from the shadows, gun to his face, "You're coming with us."
"I've had more guns pointed at me than I care for." Takemichi slumped and let his body hit the floor, "If your boss wants me that badly, drag me."
He hadn't expected them to, but they grabbed his arms and legs and carried him through the infested city. For once, Hanagaki was able to rest and sleep. He dreamed of finally finding her and holding her, crying into her lap as he always had before when it got to be too much. He missed her gentle hold and the way she just knew how to comfort him. As the two struggled to carry him up the stairs into another building, he heard snickering.
"Michi, get up! Stop making them carry you!" There she was, sitting amongst a bigger group of people and children. He didn't care who he fell over, screaming apologies as he crashed into her. She laughed as he stumbled, holding him close as he wrapped around her like a child, crying into her oversized coat. "A winter coat, anyone." She called, her hands rubbing at him to heat up his body, "It's getting colder, Michi. Haven't you tried to keep warm?"
Tumblr media
Group after group, camp after camp, and yet Kenny couldn't find her anywhere. He kept his search to himself, he didn't need people feeling bad for him if it turned up that she was dead. Mitsuya knew, of course, because Kenny couldn't just let his brother deal with this shit alone, especially when his sisters were with him.
"She's around somewhere." Kenny sighed, downing a beer they'd managed to scavenge. He hadn't wanted to search the liquor store, but they were running out of options anymore. "If she's alive, she's searching for us, right?" He looked to his friend for assurance. Kenny needed for her to be looking for him, too. He needed to know that she was trying to get back to him. Mitsuya patted him on the back, but said nothing. Last time he tried to comfort his friend it ended in them fist fighting and attracting the attention of a local camp. A camp that, from what they heard, was ruthless and wouldn't hesitate to use them as walker bait.
Kenny looked around the small, four person squad he was leading around. Two women and Mitsuya, all depending on him and he was more worried about finding someone that might be dead. He sighed again, his chest feeling tighter as he cracked open another lukewarm beer.
"Hands!"
Luna and Mana hit the ground as Mitsuya and Kenny stood to aim their own weapons at the intruders. A feeling of pride filled Kenny as he realized the cohesion of his miniscule legion. "Who's there?" Mitsuya called, his eyes trained on the shadows.
"Guns down!" Another yell came from behind them, "I said weapons down! I won't have any qualms shooting any of you!"
Kenny's wife stepped from the shadows and around them all with a gun trained ahead, a gun that was definitely too big for her, "Down, damn it! Lower them!"
"Captain-"
"Down!" She screamed and the sound of many, many weapons hitting the ground followed before she turned to them again, "I found you."

Izana was an unbothered man on the surface, but Kakucho knew his friend was slowly losing it. He was more reckless, less attentive, and overall a danger to the survival of their group as a whole. More than once had the Haitani brothers debated Izana's ability to lead them safely. It wasn't something Kakucho was proud of, but he was also second guessing it. How were they to survive in this hell if the one leading them didn't seem to care anymore?
He didn't know, but he wouldn't stop following.
"She's been here, Kakucho." Izana smiled, his sharp canines showing dangerously in the dim fire light, "I know it sounds stupid, but she's been here. Don't you see how everything is wiped clean? Nothing of use left? She's resourceful."
"Or it's a busy area and other survivors have stripped this bitch clean." Shion scoffed, "Are you really staking our survival on the idea of finding a woman when she's probably dead?"
Kakucho should've broken up the fight, he should've helped Izana and kept him from injuring Shion. Should've, could've, would've. "Izana," He started, "maybe we should focus on ourselves for a while?"
That was almost two weeks ago. None of them had seen Izana since. Until there was a commotion too close to their current shelter and they all hurried to help Izana. Forty against one wasn't fair and they weren't gong to let their friend get killed. Izana was holding his own well enough, but not good enough to beat off the whole town that was surrounding him. And Kakucho was great at using his gun as a club.
"Easy, Kaku!" That voice, could it be. It was! She was blocking his hit, glaring at him as if he had started this fight, "Help me calm Iza down!"
"Just go to him and he'll be fine!" Kakucho yelled, pointing to where Izana was laughing like a mad man and gaining the attention of walkers, "Do it fast or we're all puppy chow!"
Tumblr media
How could he have lost her? How had she managed to get so far away from him that he couldn't even whistle and her whistle back? It was getting to Manjiro that he didn't have her at his side while he walked. He stayed holed up in his brothers old shop, waiting for her to come back. That was the deal if they ever got separated, they would meet back at S.S. Motors. It wasn't hard, not by a long shot, but it had been forever and she still wasn't back.
He'd never thought he could miss the nagging and the way she clung to him, but he did. Manjiro would give anything for her to be running up to him after a decent race, her hug suffocating him in his racing jumper even if he was far too sweaty underneath. God, he'd let her smother him to death if only she was right there with him.
"Don't you dare!" Manjiro remembered yelling at her as she went to open a door, "There's a bell on the door, you'll wake anything up that's in there!"
He'd take all that aggravation and fear if only it meant she was with him. Manjiro missed her so damn much. Every little sound was her coming back to him, so he stopped responding to them. He didn't move when his mind created the sound of the door opening, but he jerked around when a body pressed up against his.
"S'just me, Manji." Her voice was tired, hoarse, "Rest, yeah? We'll eat in the morning."

Ok, enough fluff, some angst( and fluff lol) with Michi and Ingo.
Too lazy to fully right this out, but I'm just imagining Ingo is just having an awful day. Like the day is fine, but he just feels awful with every step since almost everything seems to remind him of someone he doesn't even remember and it hurts so bad.
So fast forward towards the end of the day, Ingo and Michi are getting ready to end their day. I like to imagine Ingo occasionally sleeps over where Michi lives, either due to convenience or simply wanting to spend more time together. Today was different. I go just, couldn't be around the rest of the Pearl Clan. He couldn't be around the Galaxy Team either he just....needed somewhere quite. And Michi was arguably his best bet less he wants to wander off somewhere he shouldn't be ( again). So these two are getting ready for bed and Michi just knows something is off with Ingo. They've known for the whole day, but didn't know how to bring it up. Until now, where they see Ingo curling himself into a ball, back turned to them. They try to lighten the mood, with a joke ( again try, they are not the best at jokes, but Ingo seems to enjoy them anyway), but Ingo shuts them down. Politely, of course. No matter what he tries his best to be as polite as possible, especially to a dear friend. But still. Michi can see that Ingo is struggling a bit and is slightly panicking on what to do. They are a bit out of their depth here. Ingo is one of the easier people to talk to due to having a similar wavelength, but when it comes to comforting.....they just don't know what to say. If saying anything at all would help. But they try anyway:
" Ingo I....I just want you to know that you are very dear to me. You're my beloved friend. So if you need anything, anything at all....I'm right here, okay? You can count on me,"
There's a moment of silence, Ingo doesn't respond. Michi assumes that he either fell asleep or is still not in the mood to talk, which is understandable. They just hope they didn't cross any boundaries. They are about to lay down before they hear shuffling. Ingo. Sitting up they see their friend sitting upward, eyes glossy.
" I...." He sniffs, " May I have a hug?" Michi's arms are already out.
" Of course,"
They both hug, Ingo sniffling apologies to which Michi quickly reassures him he has nothing to apologize for.
The next day, Ingo is still not doing great. You can't feel 100% better over night. But he's doing better. He talks to Michi, while he can. He even started to teach them pokemon battles, which both confused and intrigues them. Anything to help him feel more at home, whatever that was. It's nice. It's better. Things will get better.

Chelsy stabs her fork into her salad vigorously as Namjoon and Yoongi casually eat their food
Yoongi pokes at the noodles on his plate before looking across the table at Chelsy's repetitive moves
"You wouldn't have won." He simply states, then going back to his food and stuffing a bite of vegetables into his mouth
"Not only are there four of them and one of you- but it'd also be a bad image, especially since we're only freshman and this is legit the first day of school."
"Mm, he has a point." Namjoon comments in with mouth full of food
"He saved not only your ass, but ours as well." He mumbles while stuffing another bite in
"Now that's what I call 'teamwork'."
Chelsy looks at the both of them with annoyed eyes before sighing deeply and sitting up, letting her fork fall
"Of course you two aren't really phased by this because it's not your phone!" She snaps
"Do you know how expensive that thing was?"
"And he stepped on it like it was a piece of gum!"
"Must be one hard piece." Namjoon snorts and Yoongi just nudges him rather harshly
"Even if that was the case-" Yoongi sighs
"And let's say it WAS my phone-"
He pauses for a second before responding
"I would get a new one and let bygones be bygones."
"That-" Chelsy pauses with a smile
"Has to be the most stupidest thing I've ever heard you say in your entire life." She replies sarcastically
Yoongi just furrows his eyebrows before going back to his food
"You go ahead and get yourself into unnecessary trouble and drama." He pushes, mid chew
"But when you're the talk of the school on your first year of college, at that point- I don't know you."
Chelsy's mouth gapes open as Namjoon looks between the both of them before perking up
"I'll still be your friend, Chelsy- don't worry." He smiles cheerfully
"If those four outrageously filthy rich boys take you down, I'll go down with you."
"And this is why I appreciate you more than I appreciate Yoongi." Chelsy smiles, placing a hand across the table
"Thank you."
Yoongi lets out an eye roll before going in for another bite, unbothered
The three of them continue to eat in a comfortable silence until they were joined by a unfamiliar face
"Namjoon, right?" The girl asks, catching all of their attention
The boy looks up, swallowing the rest of his food and sending her a small smile
"Michi! Hey, what sup?" He replies in a friendly tone
The girl just sends one more smile, impressed at how he remembered her name already The two look at each other for a moment more until Namjoon calmly introduces her to the other two members at the table
"Chelsy, Yoongi, this is Michi." He smiles
"We're in the same homeroom."
The two wave and smile as the girl bows respectfully as a saying of hello before turning back to Namjoon
"I've been looking for other people in our class, but alas- you're the only one I could run into." She lets out a small laugh
"I was just wondering if you had the syllabus? I tried going back to pick up another copy, but professor had already left."
"Of course!" Namjoon replies, leaning over to unzip his backpack
"I could just take a picture and you could take my copy." He smiles
"Saves us more trees."
He lets out a little laugh and Michi couldn't help but laugh along before saying thank you
"You're a real lifesaver." She sighs contently, watching the boy shuffle through his backpack
"No worries." Namjoon replies with another smile
As the girl was waiting, Chelsy and Yoongi noticed her attention went somewhere else for a split second
"Oh how I would love to walk next to those four." She sighs in an admirable way
"I have never seen four beyond handsome guys as close friends in my entire life, I could tell you that."
Chelsy and Yoongi turn to see where she was referring to before Chelsy clenches her jaw at the familiar faces from before
The four had entered the lunch room, catching everyone's attention, and almost instantly- people started talking and staring in what seemed like awe
Once they took a seat at their table, that's when the girls started giggling
Chelsy just rolls her eyes, staring directly at the boy she had an encounter with earlier in annoyance
"You know them?" Yoongi asks, intrigued
"You don't?" Michi laughs in response
"Only everyone who goes here knows them."
"Care to elaborate?" Chelsy questions, looking up at her and trying to remain calm
Michi just looks at the girl before smiling
"They go by F4." She says
"Their families are very close and apart of only the biggest industries here."
She lets out a small sigh
"There's Jungkook, Baekhyun, Lucas and last but not least- Sehun."
She let's out a small hum
"In which my opinion- is the most handsomest." She giggles
"We could agree to disagree on that." Chelsy mumbles underneath her breath before jumping a little as Yoongi kicks her shin from under the table
"They seem like amazing guys." Yoongi agrees, pretending to be interested
"They are." Michi nods, still looking their way
"Whoever ends up dating any of them- especially Sehun- is one lucky girl."
Chelsy goes back to looking at the boy who had broke her device as Namjoon finally takes the paper out, handing it to Michi
She analyzes him a little more and stares at the way he laughs at anything the rest of the guys seem to be saying
She lets out a sigh and suddenly feels her heart begin to beat-
And next thing she knew, she was up and out of her chair-
on her way to their table
Michi and Namjoon perk up quick, watching the girl walk away as Yoongi just sits there, watching along with no emotion
"Hey-" Chelsy clears her throat as she approaches the guy's table, then catching not only theirs- but everyone else who were in the lunch room as well's attention
She meets eyes with the boy from before, who's eyes and smile automatically fell once he saw her fully
"What now?"
"Sehun ah-" One of the boys from across the table comments
"You know her?"
"Not since today." Sehun replies
"And I wouldn't want to know her even if I had the choice." He scoffs as Chelsy continues to stand there
"I'm right here." She squints, crossing her arms as Sehun just keeps his smile up
"And how may I help you?" He asks, cocking his head to the side
"I didn't come over here to argue." Chelsy replies calmly, biting her tongue
"I was just upset that you stepped on my phone and broke it completely-"
"Then get a new one." Sehun interrupts
Chelsy lets out a small scoff before adjusting her stance
"Well, it's not that easy-" She tries to get out
"Then work harder." Sehun smiles and at this point Chelsy felt as if her head was about to explode
"Look, the least you can do is apologize." Chelsy says, getting straight to the point
"How when it wasn't my intention to break your phone in the first place?" Sehun questions in response
"I shouldn't apologize for something I didn't do on purpose." He explains
"What's the point in that?"
Chelsy was going to reply when Sehun stands up
She moves back a little at how much he was towering over her
"I think we're done here." He smiles, adjusting his jacket before brushing past her, having the three other guys follow along with
Chelsy just stands there, turning around to see all eyes on her
Hearing the small mumbles and comments from everyone, she suddenly feels her skin become hot as she walks away in a hurry, catching Namjoon's  attention
"Hey!" He calls out, standing up from his seat
"Where are you going?"
"I need some air-" Chelsy replies, feeling her hands clam up, leaving the room completely
Chelsy tries to contain her breathing as she runs up the stairs and up to the rooftop of the building
She then runs up to the edge, looking out into the distance before letting out a frustrated scream
"Stupid boy." She breaths, trying to calm her heart rate down
"A decent human being could've at least apologized." She sniffed, now wiping her eyes from the tears that were now forming up
"Some first day of school." She groans
"So you're a freshman? That explains a lot."
Chelsy jumps up, quickly turning around to face one of the boys that was by Sehun's side just moments before
"What are you doing here-" Chelsy begins
"Who-"
She starts to stutter as the boy just remains in a calm position, sending her a smile
"You're not the only one who's allowed up here to let their anger out, you know." He laughs, now coming up next to her to look out into the view
Chelsy just continues to stare at him, amazed and intimidated at how calm he was
"I'm Jungkook by the way." He introduces himself, not bothering to make eye contact
"I apologize for my friend." He says
"He doesn't really know how to handle confrontation without wanting to fight."
He then steps aside to get a full look of Chelsy before turning back to the scenery
"Especially with a freshman girl like yourself."
"Despite my age or gender- I feel like anyone would be mad if they had their expensive phone stepped on." Chelsy replies, crossing her arms across her chest
Jungkook looks over once more, this time fully facing her
"An iPhone 7?" He asks, tilting his head a little, having Chelsy gulp before taking a step back
She was more wrapped around the fact at how mad she was for not realizing how handsome these guys were
"Mhm." Was all she could get out, along with a small nod in agreement
Jungkook looks at her for a bit before forming a small smile again
"Then it's not that expensive." He teases
"If anything- he did you a favor, don't you think?" He asks and before Chelsy could gain all her anger back, the boy lets out a quick laugh, throwing her off
He leans forward, meeting eyes with her, faces only inches apart
"I'm joking, freshman." He smiles
"Loosen up a little, would you?" He nudges lightly
He smiles once more and Chelsy couldn't help but feel her hands clam up again
Jungkook then stands all the way up again, now looking down at her
"Don't let Sehun's cocky attitude ruin your first year here." He says
"You'll gain wrinkles at an early age if you continue to do that"
He smiles at her teasingly as Chelsy does nothing but let out a small breath
"Pay for a new phone and then maybe I'll let this go." She scoffs and Jungkook just stands there again, staring at her
The two look at each other for what felt like an eternity (at least to Chelsy) when out of nowhere Jungkook lets out a quick sigh
"Okay."
"Okay?" Chelsy repeats, kind of caught off guard
"Okay."
He smiles once more
"What time does your last class end?"
Chelsy tried to wrap her head around what was happening until Jungkook came in again
"Answer, freshy." He teases
"One forty five." Chelsy quickly replies
Jungkook nods, smiling
"Okay." He replies
"We'll go after that."
Before Chelsy could come in again, Jungkook was already on his way back down to the building
"You don't even know where my last class is!" She then yells out and Jungkook turns around
"You're in nutrition right?" He asks, and Chelsy nods
"Then you won't be that hard to find." He scoffs
"See you at one forty five, freshy." He says before turning back around
Chelsy stays there for a bit, letting out a deep breath and running a hand through her hair
"What in the world just happened?" She asked herself
She looks out into the scenery of the school campus before looking down at her hands, replaying how close they were over and over again before smiling to herself

As a german, what do you think are characteristics druck’s characters have but you wouldn’t notice as a non-native speaker? I read Matteo mumbles but i wouldn’t have noticed myself. Do they have accents? Does the way they speak tell you anything about their personality? Idk if this makes sense but i’m curious cause i get a much stronger feeling about people who speak my language.
oh this is super cool and there is no way i’m going to cover everything in this ask but i’ll try. also a lot of it might just be me rambling about language quirks that everyone can pick up on.
- first off: matteo. i’ve said this a lot but i absolutely love the way he talks and it adds a LOT to his character imo. he mumbles, which would usually be annoying and maybe it’s me and my rose-tinted glasses but it’s just super charming with him. it fits his vibe. he sounds cool, chill, awkward and quiet all at once.
- you know how in the early, awkward flirting stage matteo lights up like christmas tree when he talks to david? you can hear it too. i made a post here about matteos voice getting higher (that still makes me laugh every time), another clip where it’s pretty noticeable is the “kranker turn-up” one. when he invites david to his party, he sounds a lot perkier, his voice is slightly higher and he’s generally more enthusiastic. still mumbles tho.
- when matteo is nervous, he slurs his words even more, and he gets quieter, and sometimes his voice is a little higher. you can heart it when he compliments david on his drawings, when he greets the boys in his coming out scene, when he explains to sam how to measure a dick and in the “arschloch der stufe” clip where he apologizes to sara. that last one is especially bad, he sounds so apathetic and monotone and his words are a lot more slurred than usual.
- special shout-out to the “kann ich mir jetzt was wünschen?” (“can I wish for something now?”) line. i don’t know if you can hear it but the way he says it..... it’s all in the tone of his voice: the neediness, the vulnerability, the softness. he also kiiind of sounds like that in the coming out clip with jonas. it’s just…. in these scenes his voice carries the vulnerability of his character and it’s INCREDIBLE.
- now that we’ve discussed matteo being baby, here’s a thing people often forget: he’s also a bastard. and i don’t mean his general brattiness. he’s a softie but he has a bit of an edge to him that I think probably get’s lost in translation. some of his remarks, especially with the boys are downright mean, but not in a way that sounds intentional. it’s just that his tone sometimes misses the mark of friendly teasing and he ends up sounding like a bit of an ass lmao. it’s fine tho, we love him and forgive him.
- okay now david: lukas is someone who doesn’t slur his words at all and he speaks very clearly. this is especially obvious because most of his scenes are with michi who is the opposite. it might be the fact that he’s from hamburg (northern varieties of german are said to be closer to the ‘perfect’ hochdeutsch) or it’s just lukas being lukas
- you want to know what my first impression of david was when he and matteo first talked? this boy is afraid to speak up. if i look back at that clip now, i can barely believe it’s david. he is VERY quiet, his voice is very monotone and he just sounds… totally different, he even slurs his words in that clip. he warms up around matteo a little bit, but still in that entire clip his voice is a lot less melodic and he just sounds a lot less… alive than he usually does.
- the line that carries the most emotion in that scene is not “best music city ever” it is “what would you have wished for?”. when he said that he sounded a lot more like the david we know: kind, gentle and very clearly giving in to matteo.
- in the joints and sandwiches clip, david is a whole other person. i know you can see it but you hear it in his voice too. it’s seriously crazy, the way he talks is a lot more enthusiastic and not reserved at all
- the shy, monotone voice comes back a couple times in school, when he doesn’t seem to be entirely comfortable. i think it’s (again) most evident in the “kranker turn-up” clip when he gets his beanie back. he’s obviously trying to stay cool, calm and collected.
-  again, special shout-out to two lines: “aber manchmal ist das anders” (“but sometimes that’s different” in his coming out scene) and “und unten weiß ich nicht” (“but bottom i don’t know” in the morning after clip). i don’t know what it is about these lines, but he says them in exactly the same way and it’s a tone/voice we don’t hear any other time. he sounds kind of… choked up, a little like he’s about to cry (even though he isn’t). he just sounds especially vulnerable when he says it, but it’s not like matteo who’s vulnerability sounds hopeful, desperate and kind of begging for love, for david it’s quiet, still holding back and like he’s afraid to get hurt. yes, i am most definitely reading too much into this, you’re welcome.
- i don’t know if we have successfully conveyed that “na?” is the stupidest conversation starter that could possibly exist. you could just as well say “hello i want this conversation to go nowhere”
- speaking of, their first conversation cracks me tf up because the whole “krass” “geht” exchange is SO awkward. david is actively working against having a proper conversation. god bless.
- the award for “character that is most lost in translation” will go to carlos. you know he’s funny but you don’t know HOW funny he is. people say germans have no sense of humor and they’re right. but i’ve found that very often, we’re funny not when we make actual jokes but when the way we say things are funny. it’s hard to explain but a particular choice of words can make a statement hilarious and i think i only ever laugh at german comedy when it’s that kind of funny. instead of “hey it’ll be cool if you could fix things with kiki” carlos says “das wär echt ‘n feiner, korrekter zug, wenn du mal die wogen ausbügeln würdest”; instead of “i’m not that ugly” jonas says “als wär ich so’n krasses gesichtsgulasch” and instead of “it matter how you say it” Kiki says “der ton macht die musik, ne?” (i’m quoting this from memory btw). so yeah. carlos is very funny and the way he talks is just… very unique to him.
- anselm is one of the best actors in druck. his lines always sound 100% natural and he makes jonas just… sound really cool.
- everyone has an accent. your mama, your cousin, you, me, everyone. but i know the question is if any of the cast have noticeable regional accents and the answer is no. they all speak a variety of german that is called “hochdeutsch” aka standard german. i’ve heard some mixed opinion on whether or not you can hear where everyone is from but the consensus is probably that it’s hard to tell. in my opinion, anselm and michi have the most noticeable accents, but if i just met them randomly i would never be able to tell that they’re from berlin.
- fun fact: out of the girl squad, the person who uses the most slang and gets closest to boysquad levels of dumbassery is…. amira!! actually, don’t quote me on this but i definitely feel like she says “digga” the most and she’s just generally… more slang-y idk. it makes her vibe a little more chill and less “proper”.
- OVERALL: i don’t think there are any character traits that get completely lost in translation but i think there is some stuff that just… enhances the characters and gives them a tiny bit more nuance if you understand the language. oh and a lot of the humor gets lost.
also, these are not facts, it’s all just personal observations and opinions.

once again we’re in full agreement lol. What’s your take on s3 remakes you’ve watched? Wondering how you feel about Skam FR as it’s kind of a similar situation to me where the chemistry & beauty is there but the writing and style is iffy (overwrought &overdramatic). My favorite s3 is druck. As a wlw I had high hopes for españa but it was p slow/v desexualized—a whole discussion, but my other gay friend & I were disappointed given how remakes with guys don’t hold back in that respect.. Thoughts?
Honestly re: wtfock tho I really do wonder if they had like one good writer in the room surrounded by fools. Bc it really does feel like some group projects I’ve been in where I feel like I’m the only one who’s not a fucking fool and carry the whole thing while having to fend off bad ideas (but when the majority rules, those bad ideas/execution get put in). I wonder if that’s what happened w wtfock.
re: wtfock, lol group projects are the worst….idk what wtfock’s writing process was like, but i’d love to know it. according to their wiki there were 3 writers this season? all seem to be male, naturally. did the two other writers have good ideas but there was a main writer who overruled them and did his own thing? or maybe they’re the rl one brain cell squad, that would explain a lot :p in any case, i’m unimpressed (friday’s clips did not help with that).
as for the other part of your ask….oh damn i have so many Thoughts on that, lol. this is probably gonna get long and messy, but you asked for it!
* druck - my absolute favorite. it’s the only one i’ve watched since s1, so that definitely played a part in my emotional investment and attachment. still, there was more to it than that. it was the closest to og imo in vibe and style (it felt small, real, lowkey, quiet, natural like og, as opposed to - as you said - overwrought and overdramatic + overproduced like the others); they cast an actual trans guy to play a trans character, if you wanna talk about a skam remake doing something REVOLUTIONARY? druck is the one; i loved matteo’s and david’s characterizations, how they both had a bit of isak and even in them, and the role reversal in some scenes, made things feel fresh *and* fit their characters/story; i LOVE that teens matteo and david were played by actual teens michi and lukas!! they’ve completely ruined me for all other remakes, bc thissssss is how it’s supposed to be! thisssss is how it should look like! THEY ARE KIDDOS. and they (druck and michi/lukas) truly captured what it’s like to be young and fall in love for the first time, the awkwardness and the nervousness and stuttering and fumbling around, the softness and pureness and innocence of it all!!! also they have THE BEST dynamic - other people might prefer all the hot kissing and steamy making out and the smouldering looks, but me? i just couldn’t get enough of their dumb chaotic energy, best friends who love each other deeply and are also constantly little shits to one another. gimme them pranking each other and playfighting every day! and then being soft and THE HANDS and matteo being a clingy koala basking in david’s affection :3 i also loved how for the most part they didn’t just copy/paste og’s storyline, they made some changes and knew how to make *other* changes accordingly for it to make sense and fit the story *they* were telling - for example, replacing the ‘call your gf’ scene with matteo’s panic attack/breakdown (one of my fave scenes), or their reunion at the end of ep 7 (replacing the desperate kissing + sex with a comforting and relieved yet also bittersweet and melancholic hug), or even matteo getting advice from his drug dealer instead of the school’s doctor, lol. also THE BEST BOY SQUAD, hands down. and matteo is my favorite isak bc to me he felt like his own character instead of just another isak, he was different and reletable and a constant Mood. that being said - it wasn’t perfect and it had its issues. there were a few times when i did feel they stuck too close to og scenes and it didn’t *entirely* work for me, just felt a bit off; i will forever be disappointed that they didn’t directly address and acknowledge matteo’s mental state/depression, bc there were enough signs imo to indicate that he did suffer from something. they mentioned ‘therapy’ in mia’s, alex’s and kiki’s cases, i truly thought they would with matteo as well, but alas, they dropped the ball on that one; i was extremely upset with david’s outing, but i’ve since calmed down and have managed to see it in a more positive light, tho i still have mixed feelings about it and am not fully on board with that decision, still wish it had been done differently (but at least! it wasn’t brushed off and was addressed immediately and eventually led to david having agency and yelling out his pain!!! which was good and important and cathartic); also eps 8 and 9 were pretty messy writing-wise, things either didn’t make sense or would’ve made more sense had the clips were organized differently (that random ping pong clip….?). overall tho, the good outweighed the bad, and it remains my fave
* skam france - now that’s a tricky one. the way i felt about it in the first half of the season, is different from the way i felt about it in the second half of the season, is different from the way i feel about ever since watching druck’s s3. it’s funny you should say how similar it is to wtfock for you, bc i’ve been thinking the same thing for quite some time. those neighboring countries sure have a shared flair for the dramatic! fr’s s3 was pretty much the first s3 i watched (i gif-watched half of skamit, couldn’t get into it). i wasn’t planning to (i was extremely unimpressed by the couple of s1 eps i tried watching, and same by axel’s acting in those first two seasons), but even is the loml and they got me gooood with their eliott pov trailer, which might have affected my excitement over it during the first half. back then i really enjoyed it for the most part, despite some clips being rushed or missing the point thus not fully having the required effect (their locker room scene, for example, or the ‘generalizations are bad’ convo), or how much i hated basile (a character so obviously written by a man it’s amazing), or the cheesy piano music. there were enough good things for me to focus on instead (more in a bit) that i could ignore the things i didn’t like or weren’t as good imo. however, all the positivity got sucked out of me when yann noped tf out after lucas came out to him bc WAY TO MISS THE POINT OF SKAM!!! and things went downhill after the director’s IT’S NOT DISNEYLAND IT’S FRANCE 2019 comment. i’m getting all upset just thinking about it, but to say *that*, to explain that horrendous decision bc lowkey homophobic reactions are realistic!!! only to THEN be all ‘haha jk yann isn’t homophobic! we just wanted you to *think* he was! he’s actually an awesome friend who took several days to reflect on all his past wrongdoings while his bff was at home having a nervous breakdown bc he believed his bff hated him!’ ughhhhhhhhh, miss me with that shit. great that they had yann apologizing for his past comments, but the way in which it was done was for pure shock value and angst, completely ooc for his character (all season he was all ‘tell me tell me tell me let me help let me help let me help’ only to do *that*?? nahh), and interesting how out of everyone the only black character was the only one with a negative reaction (remind you of anyone), highlighted even more during ep 7 aka the ott lucas coming out tour. then ep 8, that should have been 100% all lucas and eliott and building up to eliott’s manic episode suddenly had that weird random pov changing clip in the middle of it which truly wtf, basile was still basile, lucas thanked chloe for outing him, more scenes felt rushed, they had sex in school where people could come and go in front of huge windows in broad daylight and luckily didn’t get poisoned from licking all that paint! and i did not like the flatshare, i absolutely hated mika and lisa kicking lucas out of his room - which he pays rent for! - and manon not even trying to put up a fight, and them being like ‘roommate isn’t just a place, it’s a way of living. that’s a family, and you’re more like a cousin.’ ‘a second cousin.’ ughhhhhh and then when eliott was recovering from his depressive episode, they *still* didn’t give lucas his room back or at least let eliott stay there, he was sleeping on the couch, i’m aldjlajdafj. can’t believe i’m gonna say it, but TAKE NOTES FROM WTFOCK. tl;dr there were some good moments in the second half, but i was feeling bitter more often than not about certain things, so my enjoyment wasn’t as high as when it first started. and after watching druck, druck’s brand is definitely much more my style. plus, i was already struggling with making myself believe axel and maxence were in their teens, but after druck it’s completely impossible, so i just pretend they’re in college or something lol. all my issues with it aside, i’d still rate it higher than wtfock, bc overall the writing was better, more coherent, and made much more sense. i also liked lucas’ friendship with the girls; i loved that instead of copying the underwater kiss + 21:21 like some others have, they came up with their own thing i.e. polaris, which i thought was lovely; the lucas/manon crying in the middle of the night together in front of the tv was one of my fave scenes of the season; also love how we were introduced to eliott on the first week! and they spent time together! and specifically the piano playing scene, ohhhh; and in general elu are sweet and i reeeeally like axel and maxence and their friendship. so yeah, it had some major issues, but i’d rather have a coherent story with something done for shock value and drama ONCE than an incoherent story with several shock value moments.
* skam espana - sorry to hear you girls were disappointed! i only watched half of it, so i can only comment on what i saw. i decided to binge watch s1 and give s2 a shot when i heard they were giving cris isak’s story - it felt a bit weird to me, but it was also something different and new, and i did have an appreciation for their decision to have a wlw season (also much more revolutionary to me than showing a gay bashing), so i was intrigued and willing to try it. sadly i didn’t really vibe with s1? it’s totally a personal preference i think, maybe even a cultural thing idk, but it felt very fast and loud and hectic to me, idrk how to explain it. i was just more into the chill more lowkey vibe of druck and skamnl. but i still gave s2 a shot, and idk, it still wasn’t my cup of tea. i thought it was ok for the most part, but there were some things that bothered me - joana/cris felt underdeveloped to me? and things b/w them felt like they were moving so fast from the second they met, like jona was so intense and forward ALL THE TIME, they had like 6 almost kisses in a really short time, like shhh slow down. i remember disliking their ‘call your gf’ scene, it felt really petty and kinda mean to me? bc i felt like joana came on to cris *really* strongly and *very* frequently, so cris was more than entitled to feel hurt and betrayed when she found out joana had a bf, but then cris was kissing a dude and joana positioned herself and her bf in front of cris so she’d see them kissing too, and i just didn’t like bc seriously?? cris is valid, just apologize to her and explain?? idr much else tbh, they had some really cute and sweet scenes afterwards, i’m still against doing the underwater kiss + 21:21 so i was kinda meh about that (tho aesthetically speaking it was BEAUTIFUL, and i’m like, fiiiiine girls deserve an underwater kiss too, i’ll allow it just this once!), and that cuddling clip in ep 6 i think was sweet and the last one i watched. like i said, i was less vibing with this remake, and iirc it was going on during druck’s s3 and skamnl’s s2 - which were my faves, plus skamfr was on too i think and i was lowkey following it too, so….there was just too much all at once and something had to go, and it was skamesp. it was also around the time when panaphobia-gate happened, so *shrugs* i’m not wlw myself so your opinion on it being desexualized is probably more valid than mine? i just know when i did watch, there was a lot of kissing and making out and being cute and touchy with each other, so i thought it was ok? as i’ve mentioned before, i don’t need to see a naked butt or anything like that to *get* it lol, i thought they were lovely! but that’s just me. i will say that my faaaave part was most definitely the cris/amira friendship. they were so wonderful! one of the best skam friendships imo. i might one day go back and finish the season just for the heck of it, but they didn’t do anything major or highly offensive that made me have negative feelings towards it, it was just a personal preference + circumstances (too many remakes!) that made me be less into it and drop it before the end.

pride month - day 8 - elevator
A karaoke party of everyone in their club plus one family member just sounds like an invitation for disaster. It’s supposedly a bonding exercise, but Mondo wonders if Nagito just came up with it to fuck with them all. It sounds like the kind of thing he’d do.
Daiya’s not available and although he probably could ask Michi to come instead, he’s not really sure if Michi’s ready for...well, this. Chances are good he’d take one look at the fancy ass high-rise Byakuya lives in and be overcome with the urge to beat the everloving shit out of the guy. He’s still got to finish out the year to graduate high school, so he needs to spend that time studying, anyway.
And then there’s this: seeing officer Ishimaru on his way in, making eye contact, and being bound by social obligation to take whatever way up he’s going.
Jesus.
He’s not normally one who gives a rat’s ass about that kind of thing but he might be sort of dating the guy’s son, and he can only imagine Taka getting upset and teary-eyed if they don’t get along. He’s not a bad guy, per se, but Mondo’s never felt comfortable around cops.
Ishimaru holds the door open for Mondo to step in.
He expects it to be several seconds of awkward silence, but this is the slowest goddamn elevator in the world. He’s actually starting to worry the thing’s just gonna break down and leave him prying the doors open with his bare hands like some kinda survival horror video game.
“Daiya couldn’t make it?” he asks. His voice is kinda quiet for being the father of the loudest guy Mondo’s ever met. It’s gruff, like he’s tired, but there’s no real tone behind it. He doesn’t sound as smug as people usually do when they ask Mondo that question.
“Nah, he’s got work.” He wonders for a minute if he’s gonna bring up the time Mondo and Leon and his son all got arrested together for beating the snot outta some homophobe, but he hadn’t seemed mad then and he doesn’t seem mad now.
He should ask the guy a question, too. That’s only polite, right? “So what made you decide to become a cop?”
Or he could just shove his six-year-old shoes straight into his mouth. Good god, the fuck’s wrong with him? His voice even sounds up high in his throat and his nerves must be showing through the fabric of his t-shirt, internally chastising himself for not wearing something nicer -
“Because I was young and very very stupid,” he says. He’s not even looking at Mondo, rolling his eyes at his phone and turning the sound off.
“Oh,” Mondo says. He blinks, not really sure what to say to that. It’s not the kind of answer he usually hears. “So do you... Not like it then?”
He shrugs. He looks so very, very tired. “I guess I did, at one point in time. It’s not an occupation I’d recommend.”
“So then why dontcha leave it?”
He’s never been this bold with the dad of a guy he’s gone out with before. Or the dad of any girl he’s ever gone out with, either. Maybe it’s just ‘cause he and his son look so much alike.
Maybe he’s just surprised to meet a cop not on the job 24/7. “I’m too old to try anything else now. If I quit, they’ll just say it’s another Ishimaru incompetent at his job.”
“People sayin’ shit about Taka?!”
His voice might be a little too loud when he says it, and Takaaki looks amused. “You didn’t do too well in political science, did you?” He feels himself flushing, but he can’t snap back at him. “My father was the Prime Minister.”
“Oh. That dick.” He slaps a hand over his mouth, but all Takaaki does is snort. “Sorry.”
“Relax, kid, I don’t arrest guys for being right.” He sighs heavily, checking his phone. From where he stands, Mondo can see a new text from Taka, in all caps, panicked. So he nags his family too, huh. “I wouldn’t arrest them for kicking the shit out of homophobes either, but I don’t make the laws.”
He just gets more embarrassed every time this guy opens his mouth, which he guesses is the point of parents. He’s never really had them himself, but he had Daiya and Daiya still likes to rib at him in front of others. Especially in front of guys he likes. “Officer, I’m sorry -”
“Taka likes you,” he interrupts. “He didn’t really feel comfortable being himself, even at home, until he got to college. I know part of it’s his roommate and part of it’s that whole club you guys are in. But I think most of it’s you.” He looks at Mondo and smiles, small but genuine. “So don’t bother apologizing for what happened. I meant what I said: You guys did the right thing. I’m glad he had someone there to back him up.”
He can’t really make out what the hell it means that this is a cop who hates his job and seems to actively try and work against it. He’s already thought to himself that Taka’s family is pretty fuckin’ weird, and this guy’s no exception. But it does kinda put him at ease, knowing he doesn’t have to try so hard when they exit and make it to Togami’s floor.
And it goes right back to awkward when they walk in and Taka has control of the mic and sings, pointing and winking at Mondo, “They say I’m up and coming like I’m fuckin’ in an elevator.”

Michi Headcanons
1. Mimi loves having her hair played with, so she gets Tai to braid it for her. He’s become quite good at French braids.
2. When Tai wants to apologise for something, he buys or makes her a bowl of popcorn (depending on how deep the apology needs to be, it will sometimes require lots of caramel). He also gets her popcorn if she’s feeling down.
3. They both love having the last word, which results in intense, but ridiculous fights sometimes.
4. Mimi is an early riser, whereas Tai loves a good lie in. He’d start work at noon if he could, while Mimi loves getting up at the crack of dawn to have a head start on her tasks for the day.
5. Sora is very close to both of them, so whenever they fight, she will hear two different versions of the same argument. Tai and Mimi often make up on their own, but when they don’t, they both try to win her over, and Sora tries hard to stay neutral each time.
6. Mimi once told Tai that she’d never felt like she was missing out on anything by not having siblings until she saw how close he and Kari are.
7. Although Tai’s fluent in English (having even spent a year studying in New York), he sometimes asks Mimi to proofread a text or e-mail for work.
8. Mimi often gets so distracted that she forgets to drink enough water, which is why Tai reminds her to do so (by placing a glass on her desk or putting a water bottle into her handbag before she heads out).
9. Out of their group of friends, they’re probably the couple showing the most PDA. This doesn’t mean that they make out all the time or get handsy. They just like holding hands, wrapping their arm around the other’s waist or shoulder and stealing the occassional, innocent peck (it’s not much different from when they were friends; they’re both just physical people).
10. When they first started dating, Mimi was shocked to find out that Tai was immune to her puppy eyes (just hers specifically, as he told her to her chagrin, “worked great when my ex did it…” She refused to sleep in his bed for a week after he said this). Having known her for half of his life, he’d learned (albeit with great effort) to resist her big innocent eyes and pouty lips. So, Mimi had to resort to other methods if she wants something, such as kissing the back of his neck, telling him to choose a movie or baking one of his favourite treats.
11. Mimi listens to a lot of music and frequently incorporates lyrics into their daily conversations. When Tai tells her to put two sugars into his coffee, she sings “Actually, I meant three.” He regularly complains about how none of his favourite films are ever on Netflix, to which she will chant, “Ohhh, tell me something I don’t already know.”
12. When Tai’s had a bad day, he’s quiet and broody for a while. When he opens up about it, he’s looking for advice. Mimi, on the other hand, likes to vent and complain and wants him to get angry with her.
13. Once they’ve said “I love you” for the first time (Mimi claims it was her; Tai obviously says it was him), they’re not shy to repeat it frequently.
14. Tai has four nicknames for her: “Mi” for when they’re with friends and family; “Mimi Choo” when she returns from an extensive shopping trip; “Your Majesty” for when she’s telling him to do something; and “sweetness” when he wants to turn her on.
15. He gives obscure compliments. He’ll tell her that “these pancakes taste delicious” often enough, but every now and then he’ll say stuff like “these pancakes taste like the only cloud in a blue sky on a summer’s day” and move on like nothing happened. “What?!” he’ll ask when Mimi can’t decide whether she wants to melt or laugh at him. “You’re a five-star-cook. You’ve heard every kind of praise there is. I’m breathing new life into this.”
16. Mimi’s a natural at video games. A few weeks into their relationship, Tai asked her if she wanted to join him, Matt and Izzy for a round of Mario Kart, and she agreed. She ended up winning against all of them, shrugged, said “Well, this was fun,” nonchalantly and left the three guys starring at the screen in disbelief.
17. When they can’t sleep, they’ll make up elaborate, over the top travel plans (such as riding an elephant to the Taj Mahal or taking a private jet to New Zealand).
18. Some nights when they get ready for bed, Tai will come into the bathroom as Mimi’s brushing her teeth, wrap his arms around her waist seductively and whisper the worst, corniest pick-up lines into her ear (Mimi’s favourite to date is “Are you an Instagram post? Because I want to double tap you all night”).
19. It’s not often that Mimi is sad, but when something upsets her, she’ll have an even harder time dealing with it. Tai will find her on the bed, arms wrapped around her knees and tears streaming down her face. He’ll come closer to test the waters, and she’ll usually let him comfort her. She’ll tell him what’s wrong  (she might miss her parents a lot, what with them living across the Pacific, or maybe she got told off at work or, even if it’s rare, she’s doubting herself). He’ll bring her popcorn or chocolate and a glass of water and then hug her, massaging soothing circles into her back. “It’s okay, Mi, I got you,” he’ll say, and that’s usually the thing to cheer her right up.
20. Just to rile him up, Mimi sits on his lap and starts seductively kissing his neck at the most inconvenient of times: when he’s watching an important football match; when he’s on the phone with someone from work; when he’s already running late for football practice; when they’re meeting their friends at their favourite bar. “Mimi,” he’ll warn. “Please, not now. We can’t be late again…” - “We can be quick though,” she’ll try to convince him.
21. Their go to karaoke song is “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough.”
22. Mimi claims the best thing Tai’s ever said to her was when he came home drunk from a night out. He nuzzled into her neck and slurred, “You know I said One Direction’s fifth album wasn‘t that good? I lied, like, Love Me Goodbye is, uh, one of the saddest songs I‘ve ever heard and I made Matt listen to it so I’d have someone to, to talk to about it. Feels good to come clean. Night Mi!”
23. Mimi tries (and fails) to get ready for bed before Tai does, because he likes to lay in the middle of the bed with all four of his limbs outstretched so there is no space for her. “Will you fucking move!” she’ll say every other night, and he most likely will answer with a fake snore.
24. Since they’re both a bit full of themselves, they sometimes bet who can withhold from touching the other the longest. They keep score on a small blackboard in the kitchen.
25. They love travelling together, though they’re mostly low-budget trips because Mimi tries to go to New York at least once a year (Tai accompanies her sometimes). They go to New Zealand once (although not in a private jet) to go hiking, where they climb Ben Lomond and all Mimi’s doing is complain, ask how much further and when can they stop for food. Finally, Tai turns around and tells her hat she’s lucky he wants to spend the rest of his life with her, otherwise he’d leave her behind in the wilderness. She stops complaining after this.

All the zeldas. Just. All. Of them
I….Michi I was going to apologize for not getting to this until today, but considering how many Zelda games there are I no longer regret not doing this last night.
Under the cut, bc do you know how many games there are including spinoffs? Too many to not be under a cut.
The Legend of Zelda
never played | want to play | terrible | boring |okay | good | great | a favorite | played but never completed
I watched my brother and mom play it bc we have it on this special edition disk that had like, four LoZ games on it, and it’s certainly a game of its time which means it’s super-hard if you don’t know what you’re doing, and still hard even if you do, so I probably won’t try it anytime soon.
The Adventure of Link
never played | want to play | terrible | boring | okay | good | great | a favorite | played but never completed
This was also one of the games on the aforementioned special edition disk, which I watched my brother and mom attempt far enough to know you couldn’t pay me to try and beat the game. My understanding is this is fundamentally one of the most–if not THE most–difficult games in the entire franchise. A product of it’s time, entirely unique in it’s RPG-style mechanics which didn’t work out for the gameplay that well, I’ve only read one story of someone beating the game it’s that hard.
Despite not wanting to play either of the very first two games, I really love the implied story components of each, esp. in terms of the ever-inconsistent and changing lore. So, for story and maps, these games are neat.
A Link to the Past
never played | want to play | terrible | boring | okay | good | great | a favorite | played but never completed
The very first LoZ game I ever played, so it has a special place in my heart. Also the first game to introduce the “zelda formula” that made the series so successful, so I gotta applaud it for that too.
Link’s Awakening / Link’s Awakening DX
never played | want to play | terrible | boring | okay | good | great | a favorite | played but never completed
I roughly know the story components and this is…one hell of a weird story, but like, I love the design for the Wind Fish, and Marin came from this game so I kinda want to try playing it for myself eventually.
Ocarina of Time
never played | want to play | terrible | boring | okay | good | great | a favorite | played but never completed
The first time I played this was well after I played Wind Waker, so this game doesn’t have the nostalgia factor for me that it has for most fans. When I first played it I got tired of Navi bugging me to save Zelda, even though I was in the middle of having fun with side quests, so I stopped and never beat it. When I went back years later to try and beat it I got stuck in Ganon’s Tower and refused to look up a guide, and have thus, still never beat it. Eventually I should look up a playthough of the ending just so I know exactly what happens, bc even though this isn’t one of my fave games, it’s so important for timeline theory and lore that I kinda need to know shit about the game. Not actually sure how I got through the Water Temple twice.
Majora’s Mask
never played | want to play | terrible | boring | okay | good | great | a favorite | played but never completed
Listen. I like side quests. They’re fun. But generally speaking they’re optional and not needed to complete the main storyline. When I found out that the only way to have a relatively easy time getting into this game’s “water temple” was by completing a ton of other side quests, it kinda broke my will to complete the game. Also I don’t do well on timers, so I dunno if I’ll ever beat this game. I mean I still might try bc there’s a lot of interesting story points in the game, but like, I really, really, really hate being put on a time limit and having to restart the three-day cycle constantly. Love the dark themes though, those are fun.
Oracle of Seasons & Ages
never played | want to play | terrible | boring | okay | good | great | a favorite | played but never completed?
(I lumped these two games together bc there’s a way to link the stories, but they are technically two different games.) I seem to remember a friend of my mom’s lending one of these games to me and my brother a long time ago but I couldn’t get past the first dungeon bc I was young and sucked at boss fights. I might buy and try to play these games at some point though bc the stories are really interesting and the games are cheapish on Nintendo’s eshop.
Four Swords
never played | want to play | terrible | boring | okay | good | great | a favorite | played but never completed
It, uh…it exists. Dunno much about it but I hate the map bc it fucks up all of my land- and cartography-based theory-crafting.
Wind Waker
never played | want to play | terrible | boring | okay | good | great | a favorite | played but never completed?
So I can’t remember if I, personally, have ever beaten the game, but I did make it to the end before going off to do side quests, and also my brother beat it which I watched, so I know the entire story. Overall a good game, my only major complaint is Tetra turning white after she “becomes Princess Zelda” and also the fact that she goes from kickass pirate to passive damsel in distress. My favorite Ganondorf, for both design and story. Also the graphics aged surprisingly well? Oh, and I loved the Rito, and the exploration aspect was one of the best executed of any LoZ game (the best in my opinion, before BotW came along). Gameplay and mechanics were one of the strongest of any LoZ game I’ve played as well.
Four Swords Adventures
never played | want to play | terrible | boring | okay | good | great | a favorite | played but never completed
This is one of the really underrated LoZ games, but honestly the gameplay is? Really solid and fun. Also the graphics were really good, esp. considering 2D style games weren’t being made as often when it came out. This is one of like, two or three LoZ games that I’ve beaten more than once–in fact I think I’ve beaten this game more than any other LoZ game, and it’s probably my first or second most-replayed-and-beaten game of any game I’ve played. It’s kinda like, a comfort game for me. Also the manga for this game was excellent.
Minish Cap
never played | want to play | terrible | boring | okay | good | great | a favorite | played but never completed
Another really underrated game with solid gameplay and graphics. Like, this game is really good, and I also really loved the story.
Twilight Princess
never played | want to play | terrible | boring | okay | good | great | EXCELLENT | a favorite | played but never completed
This is my personal favorite LoZ game of the entire series, I really, really love this game. It’s also the only LoZ that I know I’ve beaten 100%, like all the side quests, all the heart containers, items, poe souls, everything. One of the few LoZ games that I’ve replayed and beaten multiple times. It was also the first LoZ game that I completed bc I used to have a bad habit of never beating LoZ games for some reason. Also the home of my two top fave LoZ characters, Midna and Shad. I just…I really love this game.
Phantom Hourglass
never played | want to play | terrible | boring | okay | good | great | a favorite | played but never completed
I hate putting “terrible” down for any game, but listen. The mechanics were a nightmare, everything about trying to move around and fight was so frustrating. The only reason I stuck with the game as long as I did was Linebeck–but when I learned the last dungeon was also the dungeon I’d been forced to go through again and again and again, I just…couldn’t do it and I’ve never picked up the game since. I should look up the ending for this as well, bc the story was good, it’s just…the gameplay…no.
Spirit Tracks
never played | want to play | terrible | boring | okay | good | great | a favorite | played but never completed
I hated playing Phantom Hourglass, so I never even bought this one. The aesthetics are cute, like I really like the trains and stuff, and it’s neat that Zelda travels with you. But the colonialist undertones are…yikes.
Skyward Sword
never played | want to play | terrible | boring | okay | good | great | a favorite | played but never completed
I really enjoyed playing this game, despite the fact that there was too much hand-holding and Fi’s assistance was more annoying than helpful most of the time. But the story and the visuals, and the music–I really enjoyed those aspects of the game. I’ve also replayed and beaten this game a couple of times, despite the flaws, just bc I was really endeared to the characters and story.
A Link Between Worlds
never played | want to play | terrible | boring | okay | good | great | a favorite | played but never completed
This was another really fun game, and I really liked all of the characters and the cute graphics. Not much to say on this bc it was honestly just, really fun and good. It was a really fun way to revive the Hyrule of A Link to the Past.
Tri Force Heroes
never played | want to play | terrible | boring | okay | good | great | a favorite | played but never completed
My friend bought this as a graduation present for me, but it’s more fun to play together with two other people, so I haven’t been able to play it much past the first couple of areas, but what I did play was quirky and fun.
Breath of the Wild
never played | want to play | terrible | boring | okay | good | great | a favorite | played but never completed
I really enjoyed playing the game, and generally speaking it’s one of the most solid games in terms of gameplay and mechanics. And the exploration is excellent, like it was so much fun to explore the gigantic world of Hyrule. But. There needed to be more story, more lore, and more music. Like what we got was great, but it was extremely lacking, even compared to games with glaring plot holes in the story, like there was just so little to work with. And there was too much “here’s these mysterious ruins that we will tell you nothing about and there’s no way to learn anything about them. ever.” moments while I was exploring. And just, I wanted more story really, more than anything.
Literally all the CGi games and games produced between 1993-1997
never played | want to play | terrible | boring | okay | good | great | a favorite | played but never completed
Enough said.
I’m also lumping all the Tingle spinoff games together bc this is getting really long
never played | want to play | terrible | boring | okay | good | great | a favorite | played but never completed
Tingle is a discomfort character for me, like not a major discomfort character, just a minor one, but enough that I’ve never willingly looked into these games, despite any good things I’ve heard about them.
Game & Watch Zelda
never played | want to play | terrible | boring | okay | good | great | a favorite | played but never completed
I didn’t even know this existed.
Link’s Crossbow Training
never played | want to play | terrible | boring | okay | good | great | a favorite | played but never completed
I know that this takes place in the Twilight Princess Hyrule, but that’s about it.
My Nintendo Picross: The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
never played | want to play? | terrible | boring | okay | good | great | a favorite | played but never completed
Listen, I had no idea this existed either, but? It’s based off my fave game so? If I get the chance to play it, then I sure as hell will give it a whirl.
Hyrule Warriors (including Legends and the Definitive Edition)
never played | want to play | terrible | boring | okay | good | great | a favorite | played but never completed
I never got the original game bc it was for the Wii U, but I have Legends and my brother bought the Definitive Edition, the latter of which I’m currently playing. It’s honestly just a plain fun game, with solid gameplay. I like being able to feel powerful and badass, and literally half the playable characters are women which is nearly unheard of in fighting-based games. And like? I can play as TWO different versions of Midna? AND Impa is so gorgeous and really well-written, like damn, I love her so much. Linkle is actually really fun to play and really cool, and I like the fact that she isn’t just “Link but a girl” like she really stands on her own as a unique character. It’s also pretty interesting to be able to play as several villains. My only complaint is Cia, but not bc she’s a poorly written character or fanservice central, but like…LoZ in particular has a really, really bad habit of coding the evil and corrupted final big bad guy as dark-skinned and like…having an evil dark-skinned villainess who’s also fanservicy especially with Lana being Cia’s “light and goodness” it’s just…yikes. I don’t think I need to spell that out further. My understanding is that Cia gets a redemption arc of some sort eventually, but I’m not far enough in the story mode to confirm this. I sure as hell hope it’s true bc she deserves better than to just be an evil, albeit okay-written, fanservice villain.
And that’s all of them, this literally took me all day. I now know of several games I had no idea existed, yet I have no idea what to do with this info.

A Synopsis of Le Mouvment Final, the Sailor Stars musical
Tumblr media
Here is my mostly comprehensive synopsis of Le Mouvement Final, the final Sailor Moon revival musical that opened in Tokyo on September 8th, 2017. This synopsis is full of spoilers. And pictures. You have been warned.
Also, I apologize for errors and omissions. I took notes for this one, but it’s a tad hard to take comprehensive notes in the dark.
The musical opens at the airport where Usagi is seeing off Mamoru. He's gotten into Harvard and they're both quite sad about being separated, but Usagi wants him to see his dream through. Mamoru presents Usagi with a ring, but holds back actually proposing marriage. [Overture ~Prologue~]
Tumblr media
Around the same time, the Three Lights arrive at the airport from presumably an overseas concert. Lots of fans to dodge! Usagi has no idea who they are and what all the hoopla is about. Walking by, Seiya and the gang sense the “Star Light” coming off of Usagi and Mamoru, but Yaten doesn't want to get involved. They are on a mission. Suddenly, the baddies show and Mamoru is taken/killed right in front of Usagi, who doesn't have time to transform or anything. He never even gets on the plane. No ambiguity. He's dead. She's frozen in terror. The Three Lights come to her aid and she collapses in their arms.
Usagi recovers physically, but she’s not all there mentally. Chibi Chibi makes her first appearance and serves as a distraction! Usagi pretends nothing happened and sees this stray child and decides to help her. Brings her to the authorities, I think.
Tumblr media
...and cut to the Music Festival. I missed some dialogue so I'm not sure if it was supposed to be a student/school music festival or a general music festival, but the first act we see is the Sailor Band. Just like in the previous musicals, the inner senshi are a band. Usagi is late so they go on without her.  They sing [Otome no Michi] and their performance clothes are so manga-like! Jeans jackets! Lace shawls! Minako's keytar made me laugh.
The act that follows the Sailor Band is a duet: Haruka on paino, Michiru on violin. Though we don't get to see the duet, one of the other senshi comments that the piece they perform is written by Haruka for Michiru. Haruka and Michiru are really THE couple of this musical. Japanese Twitter identified the dress on Michiru, btw. It’s available online.
Tumblr media
Instead of seeing the Haruka/Michiru performance, we watch back stage as the inners chastise Usagi for being late. She says she'd gone to the airport to see Mamoru off. She's already PTSD forgot about his death. It was that traumatic. The girls gush about how the Thee Lights are performing at the same music festival they are. Amazing! And here they are now! The girls spend some stage time fawning over how perfect the boys of Three Lights are. The inners all in the fan club, too! Each of the inner senshi proudly recites her fan club membership number. Naturally, the punchline of this joke is Ami. Everyone else's fan club number is in the hundreds or thousands. Ami's is #7.
Usagi still has no idea who this boy band is, and begins listing off good qualities in a man, but comments at each one that Mamoru is better than these cheesy boy band guys. Seiya, who remembers that Mamoru was killed in the airport, instantly feels terrible for Usagi. He wants to correct her and comfort her, but when he tries everyone accuses him of being sweet on Usagi.
We see the Three Lights perform next. They're so cool! But, their song [Wandering Stars] is full of novelty English. A little too much for me, personally. We see Haruka and Michiru come off stage after their performance and meet the Lights. I believe at this point is when Haruka shakes hands very pissing contest style with Seiya and everybody sense everybody else's magic powers.
Tumblr media
At the end of the Three Lights song, the power cuts out and Iron Mouse appears. Before she can really get an attack in on the Thee Lights, Sailor Moon is on the scene. She whips out a powerful attack that knocks down Iron Mouse. I believe this battle song is [Sky of Jewels]. Quickly pretty much all the senshi show up to join Sailor Moon in the fight with Iron Mouse and she's forced to retreat. The youma costumes in this musical aren't nearly as cool as before. All black and gold. Meh. In the battle, the Three Lights are outed as senshi to pretty much everyone. The outers are concerned. The inners are super stoked their favorite boyband is just like them.
Tumblr media
Then, we see Galaxia and get her intro song, [Dictator of Densetsu/Dictator of Legend]. Very rock opera. There's a ton of English in it. She sings her motivations and plans for taking over world domination. Pretty badass, really. Her costume glitters beautifully on stage. Galaxia is pissed that Iron Mouse took the initiative to attack, but didn't get any Star Seeds/Sailor Crystals. Iron Mouse pleads that there were more senshi than she expected. She gets punished by Galaxia for her failure.
Tumblr media
After Galaxia's intro, we see the Animates talking among themselves. Tin Nyanko defends Iron Mouse and says they should stick together because they're friends. They should support poor chastised Iron Mouse! But Lead Crow and Aluminum Siren say, fuck no. We are not friends. We're henchmen in Galaxia's army. Fuck off. Iron Mouse leans on Tin Nyanko for comfort and says she's hungry, let's go get something to eat. So, two couples in the Animates and they want nothing to do with each other.
We cut to the Three Lights in school uniforms on the roof of Azabu Jyuban High School, where they've just enrolled. They lament to each other how they've been on this planet a whole month-ish and they still haven't found Kakyuu. They wonder aloud if it's because their singing isn't good enough. They accuse each other of being off key and then sort of test their pitch against each other, mocking each other's failures. Singing is very much the sign of power on Kinmoku.
Tumblr media
Usagi ends up on the roof, too, writing a letter to Mamoru – Even though she's had no contact from him since she thinks he left for Harvard. Even though the Three Lights are aliens, they still dis her shitty grammar and kanji. Seiya tries again to spill the beans, but Setsuna, who appears to be the school nurse, finds Usagi with the Lights and intervenes. When she touches Seiya, she feels his power first hand and tells him to stay away from Usagi. Then, Setsuna freaks out because OMG she touched the hot lead singer of the coolest boyband ever. Kya!
Tumblr media
That afternoon, they hold a meeting at I believe Rei's place, to discuss these Three Lights and the new threat. Chibi Chibi just shows up to the meeting like it ain't no thing. She sings an adorable song [CHIBI CHIBI] that reminds me of the Kewpie dance and everyone guesses she must be a new, mysterious relative of Usagi's. Another child or a grand child or something, maybe? And they just let her stay.
The meeting commenses. Setsuna has drawn up chibi faces of the Three Lights on a white board as a visual aid for the meeting. They talk about what the Lights have been up to since transfering to the senshis' school. Seiya is on the baskeball team and is naturally the best player. We see Seiya in a ridiculously poorly fitting basketball jersey playing around with a ball. Taiki has scored better than even Ami on that one test. Yaten is such a sassy gay that he called out Michiru on her make-up choices, which pissed off both her and Haruka. Like, literally. He called her out on her makeup. What the hell, Yaten?
The senshi speculate that they must have arrived in the meteor shower that happened last month. And, Setsuna further speculates that since she and Haruka both felt spiritual energy from them, that all three must be senshi.... Which means they can transform... Which means that they must put on sailor collars and short skirts and Setsuna starts to draw sailor fuku on the chibis she's sketched of the Three Lights on her white board and EVERYBODY FREAKS THE FUCK OUT. Partly at the idea of boy band guys in short skirts. Partly, seemly, at the idea that they might not be boys at all. Which, that part is a tad disappointing.
After the meeting, Chibi Chibi wanders off and Usagi bumps into Seiya looking for her in a nearby park. Since they both already know each other are senshi, Seiya takes this opportunity to sing [Wandering Stars Ballad Version] about what the Starlights are doing on earth. He gets just emo enough to release some of his spiritual power, which lures the baddies to the scene. Senshi and baddies convene on the spot and transform/arrive to the song [Sailor Make Up!].
In the battle, Siren an Crow sing about their back story in [Crow to Siren]. They kinda sorta were senshi, you see, but their worlds were not well off and relatively peaceful like Earth. Shit was bad, and they're with Galaxia now. Sailor Moon manages to get Iron Mouse and Tin Nyanko in a Gorgeous Mediation attack, healing them from the brainwashing and breaking their power bracelets. Mouse and Nyanko say even more about Galaxia and her insane slaughter across the galaxy. Before they get too far, however, Siren and Crow kill them for betraying Galaxia and reclaim their Sailor Crystals/Star Seeds.
Tumblr media
This freaks Sailor Moon right the fuck out. Seing senshi-on-senshi violence and watching two people die in front of her, triggers her PTSD and she's basically frozen in trauma until we hear the snap snap snap. The Sailor Starlights appear! By now we've got basically all the senshi and all the baddies on stage, Galaxia included. Galaxia kinda mocks Sailor Moon and the senshi for being overly attached to their mortal, human bodies. We are so much more than that! I believe she then kills Mercury and Jupiter.
Tumblr media
A sweet aside, Neptune laments that they're at war again and she's so tired of war. But Uranus says it doesn't matter, because they can face anything if they're together. Aw.
After the battle, we see Chibi Chibi walk on stage in the darkness. She starts to speak about Galaxia and the battle, then her speech is taken over by Sailor Cosmos who appears behind her.
Seiya is back in human form again, and shooting hoops to let off some steam. Haruka shows up to basically beat him up just because. Stay the fuck away from Usagi, bitch! She's ours! And Seiya once again has to be all, there's just something she needs to know. Something I have to tell her. Seiya relly gives off the vibe that he relates to Usagi's loss on a deep, traumatic level. He seems to correlate the trauma of him losing Kakyuu to the trauma of Usagi loosing Mamoru. Haruka's like ok fine you can talk to Usagi about whatever... BUT ONLY FOR 5 MINUTES I'M WATCHING YOU PUNK.
At some point here they sing [Scent of War].
The outers have a moment where they lament maybe putting up a shield around the solar system. Fucking, outers, man. WHY DIDN'T YOU DO THAT BEFORE ASSHOLES????
Everyone is freaking out about the new enemy. Usagi has a PTSD flashback about Mamoru's death but still can't quite accept it. Mars reads the Tarot and turns up a Death card, says this fight is different from all the rest. Minako complains that she just wants to be a normal teen for once and get a boyfriend. Yaten comment that this is foolish. They've all pledged their lives and their very souls to their princess. Romantic entanglements are for people without a mission. Minako quickly agrees.
Usagi sings [My Only Love], lamenting how much she treasures Mamoru and misses him and needs him. Seiya joins in her song, sort of realizing that his sympathy for Usagi is sort of turning into a crush on Usagi. Oops. Chibi Chibi sort of pushes the two together and Usagi finally fully remembers Mamoru's death. Seiya explains to Usagi more about Galaxia and this massive, universe wide war they're in.
But Usagi gets no rest. Galaxia ambushes them and kills Mars and Venus, again right in front of her. Galaxia says she's doing this whole murdering your loved ones in front of you thing on purpose, too. She says the anger and fear will rev up Sailor Moon's power and make her more ripe for the picking. Ugh. Asshole.
The Lights show up and Seiya wants to intervene, but Yaten pulls a Switzerland and rants that this is not their fight. The outers show up, though, and yell at them for this bullshit. They school the Lights all about how awesome Usagi is. She's so kind and gently and compassionate and everyone who meets her loves her and didn't you just sense her virtue standing next to her??? Aw, outers, I didn't know you cared so much!
Tumblr media
This battle features Neptune and Siren so we get to see two water users battle it out. They “flood” the battle area. Pretty awesome, really. Siren is not nearly the ditz she was in the anime. They really go at it. When Usagi joins the battle, Galaxia unleashes the pain. Her massive attack hits the outers. Pluto uses herself as a human shield to protect Saturn (and secretly sends Saturn to the Time Gate) and Uranus and Neptune are fatally wounded. They reach out for each other as they die.
Tumblr media
Sailor Moon is now alone, and Galaxia sets about the destruction of planet Earth. Chibi Chibi suddenly shows and stops it, however. And, Kakyuu comes out of hiding to join the fight. Holy shit, you guys. Kakyuu's voice? Basically opera. She's an opera singer. She sings [Saigo no Kibou/Last Hope]. On Kinmoku, singing ability = power for sure!
Tumblr media
Intermission
Back from Intermission, Chaos is having words with Galaxia about The Plan. Blah, blah. Who cares.
Cut to Usagi. She's in her school uniform, just standing there. Alone. Grieveing. Then, suddenly, Ami, Makoto, and Minako appear! They form a playful ring around her Dogeball style saying they need to protect her. Tee-hee! Then they bring up this, basically, rape whistle that Rei apparently gave Usagi if she was ever in trouble. She blows the whistle and Rei comes running. Everybody laughs, and laughs. Usagi is tearful. Why is everyone so loyal to her? Why do they care so much? But the emotional manipulation is not over! The girls say that a special chef has prepared a meal for Usagi. It's Mamoru! He's made a special pun laden dish he calls “Tuxedo La Smoking Hamburg” and why hasn't THAT been on any of the cafe menus, huh?
The peace is broken by Galaxia, and the apparent dream becomes a nightmare. Chibi Chibi then wakes Usagi, who finds herself on the couch in the living room of the house the Three Lights all share. Kakyuu explains that she was always searching for Usagi, because Usagi is pretty much the most powerful being in the universe. She says her own lover was killed, and that's what set her off. Usagi laments that the Silver Crystal always starts conflicts.
Seiya is now in full angst mode. His princess is here, but Usagi is suffering. He wants to comfort Usagi, but feels he can't. He gets down on one knee before Usagi and vows not to leave her side. Meanwhile, Yaten is a catty bitch. Yaten wants nothing to do with these Earth people. Kinmoku First! Kakyuu shuts that down fast. No, we help.
They decide to seek out Galaxia where she lives. They band together and, in a great light show and bit of projection mapping, end up at the River of Memories that acts as a moat to Galaxia's Palace. It's a river of sand. Everyone is separated. We don't see Lethe and Mnemosyne, but the back up dancers that hassle Sailor Moon as tries to remember who she was and why she's here are dressed just like the pair are in the manga before they reveal themselves.
Usagi comes to herself and... poof! Heeeerrrrreee's Chibi Moon! Turns out when Pluto used herself as a human shield to protect Saturn, Saturn went to the future to fetch Chibi Usa. Genius! Nice shipper moment for Hotaru and Chibi Usa there. A battle occurs between Saturn, Sailor Moon, Chibi Moon, Siren and Crow.
Usagi manages to break the hold of the brainwashing bracelets, but Crow and Siren have much more complicated loyalties. Siren says she's sick of fighting. Crow talks about their home worlds. Kinda deep. They guilt Sailor Moon about her super powerful crystal being too strong a lure for bad people and things. They urge her to basically commit suicide for the good of the universe. Sailor Moon... considers it.
Naturally, Galaxia kills Siren and Crow for their betrayal. So, Kakyuu attacks! She's no real match for Galaxia, though, so she takes a fatal hit and dies in Star Fighter's arms. Seiya just can not win. All the Starlights get an attack in. Then, the inevitable. Galaxia revives Tuxedo Kamen and the solar system senshi as baddies complete with super charged abilities thanks to their power bracelets. They have special, Galaxia version of all their attacks and Tuxedo Kamen is the leader instead of Sailor Moon.
Sailor Moon can't bring herself to attack her brainwashed friends. Naturally, Galaxia has also brainwashed Tuxedo Kamen to be in love with her and they kiss just to fuck with Sailor Moon some more. Mamoru is really sexually abused throughout the series, isn't he? Chibi Moon wants to intervene, but Chibi Chibi stops her. When Tuxedo Kamen comes at Sailor Moon, apparently as an attack, the touch forms a telepathic connection. Mamoru assures Usagi that all of them are still alive and intact on the inside and it's just the push she needs!
Sailor Moon upgrades to her ultimate form and we get to see the wings again. Yay! She sets in on Galaxia. Galaxia mocks the fragility of life and human connection. Usagi sings the virtues of love and comradiere and compassion. The battle shifts to the Galaxy Cauldron.
Galaxia wants to make this shit final. She takes all the Sailor Crystals/Star Seeds she's collected and throws them in the Galaxy Cauldron to melt them and destroy them forever. She calls Sailor Moon the ultimate senshi. Galaxia makes a move to kill Sailor Moon, but it stopped by Chaos. Meanwhile, Chibi Chibi and Chibi Moon stand off to the side of the stage, seemingly helpless, watching.
Chaos reframes the argument. Chaos calls back to all the evil Sailor Moon has faced, and calls them the siblings of Sailor Moon. Everything powerful ever was formed in the same Galaxy Cauldron as Sailor Moon's Sailor Crystal/soul was. They are all one in the same.
Galaxia is injured, dying. Sailor Moon says she is lonely. Deserves compassion herself. Needs to be saved.
Chibi Chibi now speaks up. She builds on what the Animates and Chaos have said in the second act: If power exists, it will be used for evil eventually. The only way to achieve peace is to destroy the power that made the Silver Crystal and Usagi in the first place: The Galaxy Cauldron itself. Usagi objects. Wouldn't that mean no more souls would be created? Wouldn't the universe slowly whither and die? Yes, says Chibi Chibi. But there would be no more evil. There would be peace.
Sailor Moon doesn't really hesitate. Life is better. Deeply flawed life is better than peaceful nothing. She pledges to endlessly fight the battle against evil no matter what it takes, because life is worth it. She takes on the responsibility.
Tumblr media
The injured Galaxia dies. Chibi Chibi disappears and is replaced by Sailor Cosmos. It's a dramatic moment. Everything is silent. Seeing the Cosmos and Sailor Moon on stage together is freaking amazing you guys.
Tumblr media
They manage to revive the solar system senshi and Sailor Moon asks for their help to defeat Chaos. Cosmos and Chibi Moon both sit out the fight together, on the same part of the stage as before. This is the point where I started to suspect Cosmos and Chibi Moon were the same person.
Tumblr media
The melted Sailor Crystals are pulled from the Galaxy Cauldron and reformed. Cosmos talks to Chibi Moon. She calls herself the future Sailor Moon. She says that she fled here from a distant future because the battle was too hard. She basically presented Sailor Moon with the moral choice she couldn't make. She says at one point “I have returned here many times”. Very cryptic. I plan to analyze the fuck out of this dialog when the DVD comes out. Usagi barely interacts with Cosmos. It's all Chibi Moon here. I really thing she's talking to her past self. Cosmos calls this Sailor Moon the best Sailor Moon. Read into that what you will. Cosmos promises she won't run away anymore.
Tumblr media
Now with the battle over, everyone de-transforms and is reunited. The girls are all in white dresses and pose on the stage after hugging each other, happy to be alive, recreating an artbook scene. Mamoru is so happy to be alive and see Usagi that he wastes no time. Proposes marriage on the spot.
Tumblr media
The last scene in the musical is the wedding of Usagi and Mamoru. Mamory is in the green embroidered tuxedo jacket from the artbooks and Usagi has on her pretty white wedding dress. They embrace and are so happy. SO HAPPY! Usagi tells Mamoru that she thinks she's already pregnany with ChibiUsa. I can't remember the exact phrasing but it's something along the lines of “I can already feel the light of a new star growing within me.” Mamoru is ELATED! I cried, you guys.
Tumblr media
All of the other senshi flood into the stage, also in white. I believe it's Minako who says that Usagi it's not fair that Usagi be only one to wear a pretty dress. They pose on the stairs in a facimile of the artbook wedding dress image used in the musical promos. Usagi tosses the bouquet and Rei catches it. Whatever, we know Haruka and Michiru are getting married next.
They fade to black and a highlight montage of past musicals is projected on the stage. I cried again. At the end of the montage it says “The end.”. Noo!!! Do Sailor V or the side stories or ANYTHING! More! More!
There were 5 encore songs. Tuxedo Kamen, all senshi, Uranus/Neptune, Endymion, everyone doing Ai no Starshine, and then everyone doing Moonlight Densetsu. I didn't just cry, I bawled like a baby.
The musical was amazing. The story was much faster paced than, say, the Sailor Moon S musical. The way several characters framed the final battle as a moral choice was really masterful storytelling for one of these things. With the exception of the backup dancers, every costume was awesome. Super 90's civilian clothes! Super shiny senshi ensembles! Wedding dresses! The best! I can't wait to see it on DVD. Wish I could have gone again. And again.
Thematically, this musical really puts Usagi to the test. It presents her with the ultimate moral choice surrounding her power. She actively chooses to fight evil forever. She chooses to preserve life. She never wavers in her love for Mamoru. Seiya might start to fall for her, but she doesn’t seem to even notice. I feel like the writers really listened to criticism of previous shows here. So much worked so well!

(•͈◇•͈⑅) Chirping from the abyss..!
... that is my own mind...  (´。・v・。`)
Where has Miu been the entire time...?
Is what I think some may have thought, as I only appeared sporadically, even though I had announced my return after the holidays. This is the first day in weeks I feel comfortable enough to say this...
I genuinely feel bad for only returning now and answering all the chirps deserving a response I promised to give long ago! A lot of wonderful people contacted me and I can only thank you all for your kind words and encouragements! (♡´艸`) Things have been rough since December and I became a little overwhelmed with balancing the holidays with my studies, so much I silently fell prey to the pressure and expectations... This unfortunately manifested itself in a little backlash to a discomfort in my own artistic being, hence the lack of art... My heart ached for me to draw, my fingers itched! But my mind held a tight grip on my wrists...
Now, finally, my mind appears at ease after I got my butt kicked here and there (ᗒᗨᗕ) and I feel comfortable to return with a good feeling, highly motivated for both art and uni! And that one week before my exams start--why am I like this
So, with that said, here’s to keep things chirpy~ hah! xD
Hello kind new followers!! Welcome to my nest!!ヾ( 〃ヮ〃)ッ I wish you a fun time around!  (ノ^ヮ^)ノ
Please, continue to feel invited to chirp me an ask anytime!
While I love to chat with everybody, some may know I’m a wordy birb and due to time constraints prefer chirps (asks) over chats right now. If you still wish to send me a message please do so, but be warned, I may take forever to answer  (*゚ー゚)ゞ
If you wish to chirp me an ask without going anonymous but prefer for me to answer you privately please state so in your chirp/s (´ヮ`)
I always return, even if I poof unexpectedly~ I don’t like using the word hiatus, after all I’m always somewhere (also exams TvT)
And lastly, a few words to a few special people >w<
A THANK YOU to my Dysfunctional Agency!!
To be able to watch every one grow and develop their art - It’s mesmerizing and enriching, inspiring, encouraging and rewarding to be around you all, each with their own style, slowly nurturing the beauty that is one’s own art...
From the inspiring art to the utter silliness and train wrecks of feels, the carefully woven plot and beautifully complex characters we love so much... Back to what we all are: a very dysfunctional, lovely bunch of artists I treasure so much ヾ( 〃ヮ〃)ッ
And lastly, a silly personal note, but also... Teruo (/ω\) The cheerful sunshine who became very precious to me for all he is, for all he allowed me to see and do. For being the gentle nudge into a new direction... The gentle beat of the heart to the rhythm of the ocean waves.
My Πάθος
Τα λέμε! À bientôt! 今はさようなら !・:*(〃∇〃人)*:・
