What types of material will junk removal companies remove?
We offer comprehensive and eco-friendly Residential and Commercial Clean Out services to declutter and dispose of unwanted items. This includes appliances, yard and construction waste, furniture, electronics, and more!
Why is it important to properly dispose of junk?
Properly disposing of junk is important for several reasons, including environmental protection, public health, and safety. Improper junk disposal can have serious environmental impacts, such as polluting soil, water, and air. For example, dumping electronic waste in landfills can release toxic chemicals into the soil and groundwater, which can harm wildlife and ecosystems. Recycling and proper disposal of junk can reduce the amount of waste that ends up in landfills and help protect the environment.
Improperly disposing of large items, such as furniture or appliances, can also pose safety risks. Leaving an old refrigerator or air conditioner outside can be dangerous, as children may climb inside and become trapped. Proper disposal of such items can reduce the risk of accidents and keep people safe. In some cases, improper junk disposal can be illegal. Most states have regulations in place that require proper disposal of certain types of waste, such as hazardous materials. Failure to comply with these regulations can result in fines or legal action.
Proper junk disposal is important to David’s Hauling KC. By properly disposing of junk, we can help protect the environment, reduce health risks, and ensure that our communities are safe and healthy places to live.

“Are you alright, meine Königin?” he murmured and lifted your head up by your chin, gently. Hopefully you weren’t crying anymore because he did all the things to soothe you in his power. He brought you to his apartment -which is opposite of yours- sat you on his lap and kissed your hair and the skin of your neck. He didn’t knew what to do with the aching in his chest. It was making him weak to know you were finally his. Only his. “I’m okay but… What about him?” you muttered as you looked into his icy-blue eyes. His eyes always shine differently when he was looking at you. The thumb of the hand he was holding your chin caressed your lower lip. His gaze turned into something more intense. “Who? Are you talking about that Arschole?” you nodded but he saw the fear in your eyes. You were still scared of that piece of junk. “He will die in my hands.” The fabric of his mask brushed against your cheek as he whispered softly into your ear. “But before… I need to show him who you belong to.” he kissed and licked the delicate skin of your neck. The texture of wet and warm tongue licking the bruise on your neck made your heart flutter. “What do you mean?” you whispered but he didn’t bothered to answer your question. He would show you anyway. He lifted you up and entered the other apartment, where your ex still tied up with a broken jaw. He sat on your bed, right across from your ex, and pulled you onto his lap again. Your ex tried to struggle to break free but König pulled you closer into his lap and wrapped his arms around your body. Actions did speak louder than words. You were his. You were on his lap and he was the one who’s kissing you. His tongue slid down on your body as he kissed and nibbled your soft skin, all while he looked into your ex’s eyes over your shoulder. The way you flinched when he bit a little too hard made his head filled with thoughts. Didn’t he worshipped your body like König did? Or did he just touched you to cause pain and his satisfaction?
His body tensed but he remained calm for you. “I’m not gonna hurt you. Bitte, meine Königin trust me.” he mumbled desperately and took off his mask. It was the first time you saw his face. And it pained you to see the scars on his neck and face. He was being vulnerable with you. But it wasn’t because he expected you to do the same thing. He just wanted to be yours as well. You knew he wouldn’t hurt you but you weren’t used all the affection he was showering you. When you leaned in and kissed the scar on the corner of his lips, he knew you finally accepted him. He let out a satisfied sigh. Your hands caressed the scar on his neck that was sure it was a deep wound. And it was his breaking point. He kissed your lips hungrily and pulled you closer into his lap by grabbing your hips. You didn’t even though about your ex when his tongue brushed against yours and explored your mouth. His low groans mixed with your little whimpers as he pressed you right onto his crotch. His cock was getting hard under your hips and it made you squirm to feel him better. His hands squeezed your hips to prevent you from moving too much. But you were stubborn. You had to feel his big cock as he got harder and harder for you. He eventually gave up and let you take whatever you want. He was yours. He broke the kiss and moved his lips down to your neck. “Can i?” he mumbled as he slid his fingers into your t-shirt and caressed your nipples through your bra. You whimpered and rolled your hips. And he got his answer. His hands did a quick job to remove your t-shirt along with your bra. He suck a sharp breath as he saw your hard nipples. It was driving him crazy that how easily he could turn you on. “So fucking beautiful.” he hissed and groped your breasts. The noises you were making as his palm brushed against your nipple made him wonder what noises you’d do when he took them into his awaiting mouth. Your hips grounded against the tent on his pants as he took his time to grope your breasts. “König~” a pathetic whimper left your lips when he licked and suckled one of them. One of his hand pinching and toying with your other bud as his other fingers moved up and down on your zipper, teasingly. It was his mission tonight. To make you needy and desperate for him. So that bastard ex of yours could understand his mistake.
Your ex sit there and watched everything. Helpless. He couldn’t even say anything when König made you squirm and moan for him. He was too scared to say or do anything as König played with you on his lap. Your hips twitched foward to his fingers a silent plea to be touched. “So eager.” he chuckled lightly and finally unzipped your pants enough to draw circles on your clit. The whiny moans you let out echoed in your ex’s head. It was driving him crazy. He couldn’t even feel the pain when König played with his girl like that. He struggled against his restraints to reach you. But no. You weren’t his anymore. He finally got it when you cum on König’s fingers. “No.” he mumbled, his voice trembling in disbelief. “She’s mine!” he shouted but it was no use. You couldn’t even hear him when König tossed your pants and panties away. His thick shaft slipped into your puffy pussy easily and he bounced you on top of him. There was no denying he made you his. “Taking me so well, meine Königin.”, “You’re made for me. Your needy cunt is sucking me in.” he’d purr and watch your ex’s struggles with a twisted grin. It was giving him some kind of satisfaction to make your ex hear and see how good König was making you feel. He was stretching you so good that your mind was going blank. Your ex’s voice was muffled when König hit your g-spot. His tip rubbed your sweet spot so deliciously you couldn’t hold back anymore and cum again. But König’s pace didn’t change. He continued to fuck you on his cock, making you see the stars and cream around his thick cock. You tried to stop him but he pinned your body against his chest, your arms pinned between your chests, and kissed you. This was the best sex you ever had and the fact that your ex was watching it made your head spin. König was making you experience orgasm after orgasm as if he was claiming you as his. “Mine.” he growled when he finally cum deep inside your pussy, making you feel so full of him. He pulled out his cock and changed you into new pair of panties. Of course he made sure his cum stayed inside you by stuffing the dripping ones back to your tight hole. He carried you back to his apartment and put you on his bed. The way you were in his home, on his bed, wearing his shirt, stuffed with his cum made his cock twitch in his pants. He wanted to wake you up and fuck you all again.
But now he had a little problem to take care of. He kissed your forehead as you slept peacefully knowing you could trust that he would protect you from everything. König locked the door of your apartment behind himself. Stopping right in front of the chair that your ex sat. Tied up and helpless. “How do you feel?” he tilted his head to side and crossed his arms, towering over the guy. His voice was full of sarcasm. “Did it hurt? Let me fix it.” he bend enough to be eye-to-eye with your ex and grabbed his chin. Your ex hissed and tried to move away from König’s grip but it was useless. He had no chance against him. König’s other hand yanked his hair and made the guy cry with pain. “Crybaby.” he snickered and punched him on the face again, making sure his jaw was broken before choking him. “Do you remember the time i warned you? I told you to not make her cry. Or…” a crack sound came from the guy’s neck. “I will kill you with my bare hands.” he hissed when the guy’s head fell back lifeless.

Blood Flood
Peter Parker x Girlfriend Reader
Summary: Peter knows somethings up when you miss school so during lunch he races to your rescue
Warning: bad cramps, short
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Yn/3rd person pov
I moaned out in pain curling further into my knees as a surge of pain shoot through my stomach no matter the heat that radiated from the hot water bottle or the painkillers I took nothing helped.
"Yn yn yn" I cringed out of embarrassment as I heard Peter crawl through my window, I pulled the covers tightly over my head "hey hey whats wrong" he asked his voice a bit raspy and breathless from his journey here.
"I'm fine" I grumbled and grunted as another pain surged, he quickly cooed taking a seat next to me on the bed his hands gently grabbing the edge of the blanket urging me to let go.
"Whats bothering you baby" he murmured as I finally let the blanket go so he gently pulled it away revealing my face dried tear stains ran down my cheeks and the makeup I tried doing this morning as I got ready for school smudged all over my face.
He gave me a sad smiled as he raised his hand to caress my cheek "the time of the month again" he questioned and I nodded sadly nuzzling into his hand the warmth somewhat easing my pain.
He smiled fondly dropping his bag onto the floor and removing his hand from my face and moved to the other side of the bed climbing in behind me, his body pressing up against mine and his arms wrapping around my torso.
"What about school" I whispered turning my head to look at him, he shook his head his arms grazing my skin in a calming matter "I'd rather spend time with my girl and make her feel better" he said pushing his head into my shoulder.
"Do you need anything food, water, juice, junk food" he rumbled "I can go to the convenience store down the stre-" I stopped him as I turned my head pecking his lips "I'm fine peter, I'm better with you with me" I smiled raising my hand to run through his hair, he hummed in satisfaction.
We fell into a comforting silence just enjoying eachothers company intil another surge of pain rippled through my body, a struggled cry left my lips making him sit up and cradle my body into him.
"I-is there anything I can do to help" he stumbled his voice fill of concern "painkillers" I muttered holding my stomach tightly he nodded furiously as he jumped from the bed fumbling with the things on my bedside table looking for the pill bottom.
"Baby where are they" he asked picking up the few things that fell and putting them back onto the table "bathroom" I groaned somewhat gesturing to my connecting bathroom.
He rushed to the bathroom whisper yelling out a yes as he found them "here you go baby" he murmured as he came back grabbing the half full glass of water and the pill bottle, I gulped down two and groaned out as he took the hot water bottle from my stomach.
"Don't worry I'm just going to warm this up and refill this" he said taking the now empty glass from my hands before leaving my room, I relaxed back into the bed the bad cramps subsiding as the painkillers kicked in.
"I'm back" he sung sweetly walking back over to me placing the glass on the table and placing the hot water bottle against my stomach "thank you" I whispered smiling up at him, he smiled back placing his hand onto my cheek.
"I am always here for you whenever you need me, all you need to do is ask, I love you and ill do anything for you, especially if your in pain I wish I could take it all away but I can't so I'll make up for it anyway I can"

How to set up the FUN party in the sims? 🎉
Questions to ask yourself
What is the event?
Who's invited?
Is there a theme?
Where is the party located?
What's the age of the sims?
Who is this party for?
Do I have to do any CC shopping for this event?
Do I need to download a mod for this party?
Gameplay Tips:
Take advantage of the seasons calendar to set up the event. Example: party spirit tradition, sims will do autonomous interactions that show they're feeling festive. Example: Give Gifts tradition, sims will give you gifts If you want sims not to work during the event, you can click for them to not go to work that day too
Set up VFX, if that's what your party needs [RVSN mod]
Create a menu for your sims, and prepare the food a day in advance
Consider sim's lifestyles. Is a sim a vegetarian, or lactose-intolerant? Are there any kids to give them pizza? Is there a junk food lifestyle sim you want to give them something greasy?
Buffet Table [use bb.moveobjects] to get more slots available
Set up Cannons in correct placement aligned with where you want your sims to celebrate
Have a recovered copy your save, if you don't want to go through the mess of cleaning/removing build mode objects. Not only that, but sometimes, you may need to film again. If you save before the party starts, you can keep replaying the party until you get the party you want (hope this makes sense)
The baby shower event from growing together, sims give the host gifts autonomously and sims celebrate properly when the cannon is fired
Set up cannons from growing together expansion pack, in a correct placement that is aligned with where you want your sims to celebrate accordingly
MWS wedding events are perfect for events you need sims to follow your instructions such as "dance" "gather around"
Steady seat is perfect for seating arrangements
Have a photoshoot area ready, if the party needs it, so you can pose your sims. I recommend custom pose shopping in advance, but after the fact isn't bad either; just don't delete the copy of your save until you've completed that.
Place gameplay objects you need for the party around the lot. Example: If it's a birthday party and there's space, have the pirate ship "rented". You know how parents add bouncy castles and stuff for events? Think of it like that.
When it comes to arranging the table, have your sim add the placemat from parenthood around the table. Sometimes, your sim may not be able to add the placement, you can go into build mode and move the placement to the one your sim couldn't and go back into live mode and have your sim do it all over again until every spot has a placemat. If you have better-build-buy mod, you can copy the debug object yourself and place it around.
When it comes to decorating and you are having issues with slots, I recommend OMSP. It is explained in my video at 28:18♥
If you're having a dinner party, have your sim "pick up serving" for drinks and food, your sim will place the food in their inventory and you can place it yourself around the table. Perfect example to see this is Joy of Life Legacy challenge when my sim had a Winterfest dinner party (33:26)*
Don't forget to add kiss of freshness lot modifier on your lot, so food doesn't expire
Place the food over the placemat, and have their drink to their right side.
Zero's drinking mod works like placemat where your sims can place drinks around the table. There's age appropriate drinks too like juices and sodas for child/teen sims.
The Sims 4 gallery contains rooms where there's food for your sims and if you didn't have time to cook. Miss_frogstar has a bunch of rooms for your sims that contain food. It's really detailed for you.
Have a serving table, if your party is meant to have a lot of guests and food. It takes the load off you, when you don't have to worry about table slots for larger events.
Create sims you can hire for events. Think of these sims like Nurse Joy from Pokémon. You can have this sim be a townie in all your saves. Cheat their skills and hire them for events/set their outfits.
Lock them doors LMAO! Sims love to misbehave and go everywhere, so it's easier to have them be in certain areas by locking the door of the rooms you don't want them to be in.
I also recommend saving the party decorated home in your gallery, so you can just place it again in the future and remix it to how you want it
Sometimes you got to combine different events to create the atmosphere you want in your game, so don't be too hard on yourself, if you feel like it's not going how you want. We all know parties in the sims isn't perfect at all
Mods Mentioned Sasha's Space party mods recommendation More Icons for seasons TheGoldSims Better Birthday Set Better build buy Zero’s drink on table mod Gala place setting by somik and Sevrinka  Surelysims placemat mod OMSP OMSP SHELF Pick up all servings by brazen lotus
WCIF SYB UNICORN COLLECTION Sims 4 ACNH birthday cc BrittPink adopted mods Rex Baby Shower set + Birthday set Platinum Luxe Sims wall letters* (I saw on Platinum Luxe's website, you have to contact them atm) Dreamteamsims birthday Anye Party Inabadromance birthday Happy birthday sign by simmerkate Birthday photoshoot set by simmerkate SG5150 (idk the link for the party banner if you know pls help)
The Sims gallery to follow miss_frogstar (food rooms)
It is best to prepare in advance, so things fall into place by the time the event is set up for you in game. Thank you to all the simmers who helped me create this bday party, CC, Mod creators💕

As promised, part two!
First Chapter:
Part One of this chapter:
————————
So That Just Happened part 2
In the bathroom, Jason turned the hot tap on as high as it’d go and stood over the sink, breathing in the steam. He just… he just needed to clear his head. Get his thoughts straight.
Sleep for the next six fucking weeks and make Pitty someone else’s problem, ideally.
The weight of Frostbite’s gift sat heavy in his pants pocket and he pulled the case out, shaking a single glowing ice chip into his hand. The rising temperature of the bathroom didn’t affect it at all, which didn’t surprise Jason.
He considered putting it under the stream of hot water but didn’t bother.
Frostbite said not to use them too much, or get too dependent on them. On the other hand, fuck today. So much.
He crushed the shard in his hand and shoved the pieces into his mouth. This time it tasted like ozone and limes, and stung the inside of his mouth. In a good way, though.
The rush of energy was the same, and Jason would swear he could feel his frayed edges slowly closing over. Not a real substitute for food or sleep, but sure as hell beat coffee.
He had a couple dozen more ice chips, which he tucked away in the medicine cabinet behind the mirror. The mirror wasn’t supposed to have a cabinet, but it had been easy enough to make one, and so far none of his siblings had found it yet… if they even found this apartment.
(None of them would have been able to resist commenting on the collage he’d made across the back wall of their most “interesting” family photos. Or the little batburger figurines of each of their alter-egos.
Jason had made sure he got the worst ones on the market, and knew their exact positions. If a single one shifted, he’d know.)
It was on the outer edge of Crime Alley, far from the heart his family all expected him to hole up in, and the rest of the building was a completely unremarkable old library which had been abandoned before Jason was born.
Getting himself a well secured home had been easy to slip into the renovation plans; he’d had Bruce “buy” the building through Jason’s funds to start restoring it, keeping it well removed from Red Hood’s name. It was the first project he planned to put his own name on, now that he was officially alive again.
The Catherine Todd Memorial Library.
The building itself wasn’t open yet, the main part of it still being remodelled, but the needle drop off and exchange was already running from the front entrance.
This was home, as much as anywhere ever was. More than anywhere had ever been since Wayne Manor.
Jason tensed against the anger, but nothing rose this time. The ecto-ice had given him a flood of energy, the same almost static clarity, but he still felt drained. Like there was no anger left in him.
It would have been nice if it felt good.
The steam had fogged the mirror now, collecting in the air even against the bathroom’s fan. Shutting the tap off, Jason closed his eyes and sucked in a few more deep, fortifying breaths.
Maybe the ecto-ice had been a mistake. All he wanted to do was fall into bed and sleep, but he wouldn’t be able to for at least a few hours now.
Patrol was out of the question. His body may be revitalized and humming with energy, but his head wasn’t in the game. Even Lady Gotham’s embrace couldn’t pull his scattered thoughts together.
What he needed was some mindless TV, some stupidly indulgent junk food, and a blanket. He’d heard… well, things about the new Sex and the City spinoff. Not exactly good things, but things.
Carrie Bradshaw’s not-problems could be the perfect backdrop to a night in.
Alfred would probably send him cookies if he asked. This being an emergency and all. Although… it wasn’t like they could explain the nature of the emergency without the whole ghost reveal.
… Probably still worth a try though.
His Red Hood phone was still at the safe house he’d slept in, but at least one of his spares for his civilian life should be in the apartment somewhere.
The steam had mostly cleared too, leaving the mirror only slightly foggy around the edges. Jason gave it a careful wipe down out of habit; dots on the mirror didn’t usually bother him, but… he’d put Catherine’s name on the building. He wanted to keep everything in it nice.
(Which was why a lot of stuff was unused.)
It wasn’t until he opened the door that he realized he really hadn’t said anything to Danny before disappearing.
Would he have left? Fuck, that’d be the obvious choice, wouldn’t it? Getting dropped off just inside a stranger’s door, and then they just walk away from you into the bathroom.
Shit, Danny had probably left. That… Jason didn’t know how to feel about that, and the empty hall only confirmed his suspicions.
On the one hand, he really wasn’t up to more talking. He didn’t even want to think about everything that had happened today, and especially not whatever the hell was lose in his city, trying to feed his rage. He couldn’t handle one more gentle reassurance that it was okay to be angry.
On the other hand, he really, really didn’t want to be alone. The noise from the TV and the snacks would cut it in a pinch, but the only thing he actually wanted right now was company. Quiet, nonjudgemental company.
He hadn’t told any of the bats about this safe house. Not even Bruce’s contractors knew he’d snuck it in. He’d wanted it to be safe from them and from everyone else, and now he could keep his fucking secrets at the cost of being alone.
A little heavy handed as a metaphor.
… Fuck, Alfred couldn’t even bring him cookies without knowing where he was.
He turned away from the hall and made for the bedroom to grab the spare phone, though he wasn’t sure who he’d message anymore. Just as he was debating the merits of messaging Cass and getting her to do him a delivery, a noise from the kitchen caught his attention. Hope rose, slowly and uncertainly. Had Danny not left?
… Why was Danny in his kitchen, when he was a self professed fire hazard?
Caution and concern flaring right alongside that hope, Jason backtracked and hurried to the kitchen.
**
There were not enough dirty dishes.
There was like, a mug, a coffee pot, and two plates. Really, Danny should have been done in minutes and fidgeting for something else to do.
But then he’d been looking for where to put the plates away, and he’d found a really impressive spice cabinet. Right next to the stovetop, made sense he guessed, though personally he preferred to keep the damn plates where they’d be used.
He’d perused a couple of labels on the little jars, mildly amused by how many he absolutely could not even guess at. What the fuck was “marjoram”? Or “zataar”?
So the logical thing to do had been open the jars for a sniff.
All well and good. He didn’t recognize most of the smells either, and couldn’t imagine why you’d put almost half of them in any kind of food, but some of them smelled really good.
But then he’d found the garlic powder.
Danny did not cook, as a rule. Sam cooked, mostly from spite, and she always used fresh smashed garlic. Danny’s youtuber chefs mostly said the jarred chopped stuff was fine, but what the fuck was garlic powder?
And what garlic powder was, was pungent. Really, really strongly scented, and super light. Just opening the jar had puffed up a cloud of the stuff, and Danny had been about to sniff it anyway and took a bigger huff than he intended.
And then he’d sneezed.
And now Jason’s entire kitchen was dusted in garlic powder, including the dishes he’d just washed and left on the counter while he found their homes.
So Danny panicked.
Trying to dust the garlic powder off the counters with his hands only got more of it into the air, and he wasn’t falling for that fucking trap again, no sir. He went ghost again and stopped fucking breathing is what he did, then grabbed a garlic covered towel and tried to wipe the powder into a pile.
No dice.
But Danny was a professional superhero. He calmed himself down. He stopped panicking. He went looking for a dustpan and brush like a sensible adult.
And then he heard the bathroom door open, froze like a deer in the headlights, and reflexively jerked straight off the floor.
Because right, he had fucking ghost powers.
At least he already hadn’t been breathing. Luckily, Jason seemed to need something from the other side of the apartment since his footsteps pretty much immediately moved away, and Danny let out another relieved breath.
He could still fix this. This would be fine. He could telekinetically pick up all the garlic dust, and throw it in the trash because a lot was on the floor and the rest was on him and also Every Other Surface On Earth, and buy Jason more tomorrow.
Before Jason came back from wherever else he was going and realized Danny was a fucking menace. Focusing hard, Danny let his aura suffuse the room and focused on the garlic powder. Willed it to lift off whatever it was touching, and come towards him.
Of course, some of it was now on the clean dishes, and in the mug. Which fell over as Danny pulled its powder coating away.
Jason’s footsteps immediately stopped. And then began hurrying towards him.
And maybe Danny panicked again, just a tiny bit, but the good news was he did not ice over the whole kitchen! He’d grown so much since Ghost Puberty Part 2 Electric Boogaloo! He was totally in control!
He just iced the dishes to the counter and froze the floating garlic powder, which was why Jason appeared in the doorway to see Danny floating like a fucking dumbass in the middle of his kitchen, surrounded by sparkling ice crystals.
Danny raised both hands immediately.
“I can explain.”
**
So the thing about Spiderheck. The really big pain in the ass thing. Was that every round was super unpredictable, even when you weren’t playing with superheroes trying to adapt their actual abilities to spider bodies.
There really was no way to know what would be a long or short round.
Tucker had tried a couple more times to “fall” early on, only to be promptly followed by one or both of his fellow competitors.
The good news was, they were at least all tied up for now, so he’d gotten more time without anyone asking questions. The bad news was, it was match point. Whoever took this next one, if they didn’t all tie, it would be time for another set.
Aaaaand Conner and Tim were still having fun, and insisted they were just warming up, but Tucker was sweating anyway. He didn’t even know spiders could sweat.
Ancients, had he actually fucked up using his powers for the first time in years when he was trying to show off for Red Robin and Superboy?
He was going to look like a fucking newb. An absolute amateur.
And that was assuming that no one had come looking for them and noticed the empty room and still going game on the TV. Would Batman think he’d kidnapped Red Robin?
Who was Tucker kidding, he totally would. Bruce was paranoid as hell, and while he mostly seemed to be aiming it at Danny, that was probably because he hadn’t realized Tucker was liminal. Did the GIW even know about liminals? There probably wasn’t much documentation for him to freak himself out about with.
Of course, in this case he wouldn’t be wrong. Tim would be trapped. It’d just be because Tucker was a dumbass, not a malicious force. At least Tim and Conner would almost definitely believe him.
Aaaand he’d never live it down. It was only a matter of time before they both noticed he wasn’t really trying to win anymore too. He’d kept up, but that was mostly by accident. He just had a lot of practice being inside the game levels.
A lot of them could kill all the players on their own, no PVP required.
He felt like an absolute caveman when the answer finally came to him, and it wasn’t even his own idea.
Because the last level had been one of those “kill all the players” levels, and all three of them had managed to be thrown into lava close enough that the computer didn’t count a winner.
Tim and Conner groaned loudly before bursting out laughing, because of course that was what happened at their dramatic finale, and then as they’d spawned in again Tim turned to Tucker.
“Hey, can you pause before we get into this one? I just wanna catch my breath a second.”
Which, for a nanosecond, felt like the absolute end of the world, because he didn’t have his controller buttons. Because he was a dumbass.
Luckily, it also snapped him back to his senses, and reminded him of the very first time he’d put Sam and Danny into a game with him. They’d made the same mistake, not leaving anyone their actual console controls, and Danny had begun trying to actually physically break them out before Tucker worked it out.
They were his fucking powers. He could always pause them, whatever they were doing; all he had to do was close his eyes and blank out for like, a minute.
He’d been collapsing in despair that first time, and Sam had kicked him over, sat on him, and demanded he take a nap, and then they were all back in their bodies like nothing had happened.
Keeping them inside the game was the part that was difficult; it was an act of focus, and sure it felt automatic at this point because he did this all the time now, but it was still something he had to actively do. Sure, technically, he wouldn’t be controlling the game from the inside, but they’d be back in their fucking bodies in the real world.
Where the actual console controls were. And then he could reload them in, and not forget his overrides this time, and everything would be fine.
Luckily, while his brain was techno-linked, he was processing in computer-time, not people-time. There was barely a pause after Tim asked the question and the answer came, tension leaving his body so quickly he almost sagged.
He even sounded a little giddily relieved to his own ears as he answered, laughing and already shutting his eyes.
“Well, kinda. Let me just pop us back out, we should probably check the time too. Hang on.”
Luckily, this stage did not seem to have any instant death traps. Tim and Conner fucked around with the crates and the platforms for a couple of seconds while Tucker reached inside, deliberately pulling his disconnect instead of waiting, and then they were all back on the couch, controllers in hand.
He’d never been so happy to see his own hands. Or the Start button, which he promptly hit to pause all three spiders before Tim and Conner’s could swing to their deaths. Even if that would give him the win.
Tim and Conner shifted beside him, getting used to their bodies again. Tucker took the lead there, setting his controller down and stretching his arms up behind his head, the phantom sensations of extra limbs already beginning to fade.
“It stops feeling weird pretty fast, but it helps if you move around,” he explained brightly, still high on that buzz of relief.
Conner made a noise of agreement, standing and stretching his arms over his head, which made his shirt ride up. Tucker had the good sense to turn away quickly, before he got hypnotized.
Not quickly enough that Tim didn’t notice, but Tim Drake-Wayne remained the very coolest person on planet Earth and didn’t say anything. He just grinned knowingly at Tucker and rolled his shoulders, stretching out his neck.
“Okay, that was really cool. Not even a little bit the same, but really cool.”
Tucker grinned back, sheepish but still just happy he didn’t get caught.
“Yeah, there’s always the skill barrier where you can’t do the button combos, but I still feel like it helps? Y’know, understanding how the characters move and stuff.”
“I’m just glad you picked up the TTK that fast,” Conner cut in with a laugh, now bending down to touch his toes, blessedly while facing them.
Tucker swelled with pride.
“I mean, it wasn’t all that complicated. You explained it really well,” he said totally calmly, totally cool, definitely not fawning over the actual demigod in the room.
He didn’t exactly get why Conner shot Tim an entirely triumphant grin or why Tim rolled his eyes, but he wasn’t gonna worry about that. Tonight, he was batting a thousand.
He’d be tired getting back to class tomorrow, and he couldn’t exactly tell his classmates he’d been hanging out with Tim Drake-Wayne and being carried home by actual Superboy, but this was still the best week of his life. And Tim had already been talking about getting him an internship.
His life really could not be finer.
**
Jason took the mess well. Probably because Danny had a) already been working on it and b) panicked like a startled duckling and explained at a mile a minute, getting the order of events completely wrong at least twice.
Having the garlic powder iced over definitely helped the cleanup too. Jason grabbed a garbage bag, Danny floated what was in the air in, and they both took damp cloths to hunt down any stray garlic powder hiding in crevices.
Danny rewashed the dishes, but Jason dried them with a fresh towel and showed him where everything was. All in all, it was a blissfully domestic moment after a genuinely fucked day.
He could feel an unasked question waiting on the back of Jason’s tongue while they cleaned up, the shape of anticipation and something that wasn’t exactly fear, or even anxiety, just a low grade avoidance. Danny didn’t push it.
That seemed like the right answer too, because when they’d finished and stared at each other awkwardly for a long moment, Jason sighed and rubbed the back of his neck.
“Look, I know you’ve got school tomorrow. If you’ve gotta head out…” he trailed off, resigned-tired filling his aura.
Danny raised both hands to cut him off.
“Hey. I can fly across this city in like, fifteen minutes. It’s not even half eleven yet, so if you want some company I’ve got nowhere else to be. We can talk about whatever, play some more MarioKart, or I can just make you some cocoa and go if you need space?”
Jason didn’t physically sag with relief, but that was probably because he’d already been holding himself carefully to hide the tension. Didn’t matter, because everything else about him screamed it as he raised an eyebrow at Danny, glancing around his kitchen.
“I’m not leaving you alone in here again until you’re Alfred-certified,” he declared sarcastically, and Danny grinned back.
“Ah, so never again. Good to know. It’s probably for the best, I’m a lousy cook for anything I don’t have to wrestle to the ground.” Not that he was any better at cooking it after he’d won the fight; he was just pretty good at the fighting part.
Jason’s eyebrow twitched and then he chuckled, shaking his head and pointing out of the kitchen.
“Tell you what, I’ll make you some cocoa while you go turn the TV on. Remote’s on the end table.”
That sounded like an invitation to stay to Danny! So he hadn’t totally fucked by not booking it out of Jason’s haunt at top speed; good to know.
And maybe he did physically sag with relief a little, because expressing your emotions was cool actually and everyone should totally be doing it more. And it was more fun in ghost form; he actually sunk til his feet almost touched the ground.
Didn’t go all the way when he remembered he was still in his boots. Jason’s other apartments had been pretty well lived in although still generally tidy, but this one was almost pristine. Whether it was new or he was just more careful here, Danny could take a hint.
He gestured quickly at his body while Jason pulled a cartoon of milk from the giant, gleaming blue-black fridge that looked mostly empty.
“Sure, uh… mind if I change?”
Jason blinked, which was fair since Danny had been a ghost for the past couple hours, then nodded.
“Not at all. There’s also some sweatpants and stuff in the bedroom if you wanna get more comfortable, but I don’t have as much of Tim or Dick’s stuff here so you might be stuck in mine,” he added a little shyly, and Danny’s grin widened as he remembered his new favourite shirt.
“You have five minutes to hide any other great soup shirts before I take you up on that,” he teased and Jason grinned back.
“Nah, go for it. I’ll only be a little longer than that with the cocoa though, so don’t do too much snooping around.” It didn’t sound like an actual warning, but he’d also already turned back to what he was doing… which already looked way too complicated.
He had a saucepan for crying out loud. Like Danny couldn’t see the electric kettle and fancy coffee machine. Tempted to stick around to watch just for curiosity, Danny floated back to the front door to change back and drop off his shoes and coat instead.
And hesitated.
Jason had given him permission to go to the bedroom. Change out of his jeans and jacket. He didn’t actually need to; the jeans were pretty comfy, well worn in, but they did have some built up salt, slush, and yuck from walking and driving around Gotham’s streets around the ends.
It was possible the suggestion had been more for the sake of Jason’s couch than Danny’s comfort.
He could just go intangible and let the dirt fall through, but that’d leave a pile which while technically being more contained would still be more mess. And sometimes it was hard to tell what was dirt and what was pants, since they weren’t exactly “his” either way.
He could just do laundry when he got home.
Luckily the bedroom door was open, so Danny didn’t have to poke into any of the other doors from the hall. Just like at his other apartment, there was indeed a separate set of six drawers with Jason’s siblings name on each drawer.
Well, “Dickhead”, “Timbo”, “The Purple One”, “Cass”, “Demon Brat”, and “Best Sibling”. Snickering to himself, Danny considered taking a picture. Or asking Duke what he’d done to be “Best Sibling”.
Unlike the other apartment, each drawer was mostly empty though. Just a pair of sweatpants about the right size, a hoodie, and a shirt that Jason had definitely assigned rather than getting one of theirs. Although Danny didn’t doubt Dick would own a Nightwing hoodie in the least.
The My Little Pony shirt for Damian was… well, Danny didn’t know him well enough to say.
With the clothes that might actually fit located (and honestly Cass’s were probably actually his best bet), Danny snooped through a couple other drawers to see if Jason did have any other fun shirts to steal.
There was actually depressingly little; Jason had plenty of clothes here, just like the other apartments, but all of them were… respectable. Plain. Block colours, simple patterns, normal people clothing.
Danny was just about to give up when he popped open the bottom drawer and stared in awe.
Jason’s regular wardrobe (from Danny’s admittedly limited experience) was kinda basic; plain shirt, sexy jacket, plain pants. Extra sweaters given the weather, but he did also have a pretty good collection of graphic tees with various swearwords usually featured boldly.
Where what had to be the complete collection of every Wonder Woman shirt ever made fit in, Danny wasn’t going to try and guess, but he knew good taste when he saw it.
Unfortunately, if he stole one of those, Jason was probably gonna want it back. Most of them were clearly worn, and just as clearly carefully cleaned to keep them nice. Danny wasn’t good at keeping things nice.
Somewhat reluctantly, he shuffled back to the siblings’ dresser and stole Cass’s hot pink paw print sweats, Steph’s 1000% bootlegged Sex In The City misprint shirt with the purple sparkle dildos painted over the girls, and the Nightwing hoodie. Never let it be said he could put together an outfit.
Fingering the shirt, he made his way back out and to the open plan lounge, his own clothes tossed carefully onto his shoes by the door. Jason had told him to put the TV on… and the worst he could do was say no.
Pulling up the streaming services, Danny went looking for And Just Like That. Mostly for curiosity’s sake, to be honest. He could probably sneak a trailer before Jason got back, just as a sample.
As if summoned by his thoughts, Jason appeared just as Danny found the right service, two steaming mugs of incredible smelling cocoa topped with a mass of whipped cream in his hands and a large bowl of popcorn, skittles, and smarties in his other arm.
Danny couldn’t even complain about not getting to have nice things, because if that wasn’t the epitome of a fantasy walking into the room he didn’t know what was. Hitting pause quickly, he hopped up to take the bowl for purely altruistic reasons.
Definitely not for an early handful, no matter how Jason raised his eyebrows at him. The handful was Danny’s reward for being a good citizen.
“Hey, that smells fantastic! Your family is gonna ruin me for shitty cafe hot chocolate,” he teased through a mouthful of candy.
Jason rolled his eyes but smiled, switching both mugs to one hand to set a trio of coasters on the coffee table. Danny reluctantly relinquished the bowl to the third if only to grab his cocoa and take a sip as Jason sniffed.
“Hot chocolate is to cocoa what instant coffee is to fresh,” he said snootily, like those were words that meant anything. Danny just stared at him, whipped cream on his nose purely for comedic effect.
Until Jason leaned in and wiped it away with his thumb, and Danny’s brain shut down. Unfortunate, since Jason started talking.
“So, uh… you a Sex and the City fan?”
“Huh?” Danny kept staring, pretty sure words had meanings until Jason jerked his thumb in the direction of the TV (which was huge and gorgeous because of course it was. This was the rich son of a bitch apartment Danny would expect of… okay, not a Wayne, it was still way below that level of fancy, but at least someone making a good chunk of change).
Then he shook himself out of it, grinning.
“Oh! No, never seen any.”
Jason cocked his head, eyebrow raised again.
“Then why…”
Danny shrugged, settling himself comfortably back into the couch. He was going to sound like a crazy person anyway, he might as well be comfortable.
“I listen to The Worst Idea Of All Time on my way to classes. And when I’m welding. It’s a couple of guys from New Zealand who watched Sex and the City 2 every week for a year, and a bunch of other stuff. Like, uh… Grown Ups 2, We Are Your Friends, oh and the first Sex and the City movie.”
And, sure enough, Jason looked appropriately baffled.
“What, all at once?”
“Nah, different years. They never did the actual show, but they’re doing commentary on all of the episodes of And Just Like That now that they’re out since they did both movies, which were after the show. Why, did you watch the actual show?”
Jason nodded slowly, and Danny snickered.
“The show’s not canon for the Worst Idea boys. Brady the Rat King is though.” And yeah, he probably could be explaining this more like a sane and reasonable person, but that just made the podcast sound worse.
This time it was Jason who raised both hands, even relinquishing his cocoa to do it.
“There are too many questions, so I’m just gonna start with “why?”” He was already smiling though, so Danny was going to take that as a good sign.
He shrugged cheerfully.
“Schadenfreude is the leading theory from the boys, and to be fair it is fun watching them suffer through the worst movies they can find. They’re both professional comedians though so it is actually really funny, and they’re really positive. Every watch has to have a shining light, which is something you actually liked about the movie that week. I did that with one of my lecturers last semester, a real blowhard, and it helped. Mostly it’s just the aural equivalent of comfort food; nothing challenging, no thought required, just two good soft boys making up crazy stories about movies every week.”
Jason was actually listening, pursing his lips as he considered what Danny was saying. Privately, Danny suspected having actually watched Sex and the City might work against him… although he might have been dead when at least one of the movies came out.
Finally, Jason sighed.
“So you’ve just watched the movies, and none of the show?” He asked, in a tone which told Danny exactly what he thought of the movies. So he might like the podcast after all.
Danny grinned and grabbed another handful of popcorn.
“Nah. They actively discourage us from watching them, even when they do directors commentary. And Just Like That isn’t getting the full season treatment though, so I kinda wanted to take a look just to see the outfits.” A stroke of inspiration struck him, and Danny dropped some of the popcorn into his cocoa.
Getting it back out again was not as easy as he’d have liked, but he got two pieces that were heavenly and was content to let the third wallow under the whipped cream where it had retreated.
Jason totally was not laughing at him, because he was a gentleman. It was the brilliance of Danny’s answers that had him smiling like that, for sure. And when he was sure he had Danny’s attention again, he pointed at him.
“Okay, we’ll watch And Just Like That tonight. But you have to come over and watch the original series at some point too,” he added quickly.
Danny pouted but considered it. He didn’t even know how many seasons there had been. Time for a counter offer.
“Only if you try the podcast.” Which was a totally reasonable offer and absolutely no reason for Jason to make that face as he nodded.
“Fine. I’ll give it a shot on my way to work. Happy?”
“Deeeeee-lighted,” Danny cackled, holding out a hand to shake. Which Jason obligingly shook, then nodded to the couch.
“No spoilers, okay? Unless there’s good hats. I’m just going to run and change.”
He even came back bearing a fuzzy throw from the end of the bed, which he dropped on Danny’s head and imperilled his precious cocoa. It was mostly empty by then though, and then Jason even refilled it for him, so Danny graciously gave him a royal pardon.
Jason graciously told him to shove it up his ass and settled in, and Danny swiped the remote for his impertinence. Long day now finally behind them, it was looking to be a much better night.
**
Taking a quick glance at both his League communicator and both of his phones, Bruce dismissed about thirty messages from Harley. He might have liked to talk to her earlier, and probably would actually message her back to talk later.
It had only been for a matter of minutes, but even a second of believing that Jason had died again… no. He knew he hadn’t handled it well. If he actually slept tonight, he had no doubt it would be even worse than usual, and plagued by nightmares.
Fortunately for him, he had a new case to distract himself with… or rather, a new direction for his existing case.
Diana was right; she usually was, in matters of the heart. He had to trust Jason, and trust that Jason knew what he was doing with this business in the Infinite Realms.
A year ago, Jason likely wouldn’t even have involved Bruce in the conversation, if it happened at all; he’d have dropped the evidence on Dick or Duke, or just gone around trying to blow up a rogue government agency on his own. That he had brought this to Bruce showed a lot of progress in their relationship. It gave him a reason to hope.
He would have to try and reward the trust Jason had shown in him, rather than punishing it. A proper apology, just between them… if Jason would speak to him.
A few days to give Jason time to calm down would probably help. And, if he was truthful, for Bruce to put his concerns to bed.
He may have been… hasty in leaping to conclusions about Danny Fenton. It wasn’t like him to become so entrenched in an opinion without checking it from at least a dozen more angles; the Mansons and Vlad Masters could only know so much.
Diana had been right again; he had to get to know Danny, to put his fears to rest. He trusted…
Okay. When it came down to it, he didn’t exactly trust his children not to lie to him about the dangers of a potential friend. There’d been one too many secrets-turned-disasters. But he could trust them to fact check and rat each other out if they truly believed their siblings were making a serious mistake.
For the joy of an “I told you so”, if nothing else.
Cass’s first impressions in her debrief had been illuminating. A little more discussion with her and perhaps Steph, their views were often varied enough that between them a very comprehensive picture could be built.
Talking to Danny himself again… Bruce knew himself well enough to know that wasn’t a good idea yet. It would have to happen eventually; he suspected he also owed Danny an apology for his behaviour, although no one else had mentioned it. Which was perhaps another sign of how badly he’d failed Jason.
No, he had to level his opinions on Danny first, make sure he could keep a clear head. Returning to the cave, he made his way directly to the batcomputer and sank into its familiar embrace.
Tim likely hadn’t had time to make the updates that would allow them to read through Amity Park’s data directly, but Tucker Foley had provided them with a respectable amount of downloaded data. Bruce could begin his researches there, and make some travel arrangements as well.
If he couldn’t get into Amity Park digitally, physically would have to do. Likely as Brucie Wayne rather than Batman, although repairing the town’s relationship to the Justice League was a worthy goal while he was there. And while people wouldn’t be as open to giving him information about Danny face to face, he could pick up some native tech and make his own adjustments. That should let him get past their unique protections.
And a better look at these ghosts, and an understanding of what exactly the Justice League Dark were so concerned about.
Hands pausing on the keys for a moment, Bruce briefly considered messaging Constantine again, or Zatanna. He should at least inform them that he was planning to go to Amity Park in person.
After a moment’s consideration, he sent a brief message to Zatanna. As unprofessional as it might be, Bruce knew himself well enough to know he just wasn’t up to spending any more time with Constantine at the moment.
Zatanna could brief him on any necessary etiquette just as well, with far less dramatics. A little space between himself and Constantine could only help as well. Honestly, a few days away from Gotham and all of his current headaches could only be a good thing.
Harley might even be proud of him.

So here we have it! Also, by the way, that nexus thing is actually canon in the DC multiverse, and it is so much fun

ઇଓ│ Simphora’s Ultimate Sims 3 Masterlist of Mods │ઇଓ
Hey guys! I receive a ton of questions on the mods I use in my game, so here is my ultimate masterlist of mods for the Sims 3. All of the mods listed are organized by category. This list will be updated from time to time. Happy Simming!
3/20/24 - Last Updated
(credits to all of the wonderful modders listed below!)
Tumblr media
(Keep reading to see the list of mods).
εϊз NRAAS Mods
These mods are essential!
NRAAS Master Controller: This mod adds countless options that allow you to easily control and change just about anything about Sims in your town. Featuring a robust filter system to allow you to find the Sims you want to target and execute actions on.
NRAAS Master Controller Cheats (module): This mod is an optional module of Master Controller and includes the more advanced; therefore "cheaty" aspects of Master Controller. (Must have the base-mod installed for this module to work properly).
NRAAS Master Controller Integration (module): This mod is an optional module of Master Controller and replaces all the CAS interactions in the game with the one managed by Master Controller, including the "Create-A-Sim" button in "Edit Town". (Must have the base-mod installed for this module to work properly).
NRAAS Career: This mod is used to load custom careers into the game. It is also possible to load custom book lists, custom skills, and standing social interactions.
NRAAS Careers School: This mod contains a series of high-school "trade" school careers.
NRAAS Debug Enabler: This mod exposes EA debug commands so that it is usable in game. It also adds a few useful commands to fix common problems.
NRAAS Error Trap: This is a core-mod intended to catch and correct data corruption errors that can render a save-game unloadable. Any corruption errors that can not be corrected will be trapped and logged, allowing the save-game to load regardless.
NRAAS Go Here: This mod replaces the "Go Here" interaction, with one that can be stacked in the queue, allowing the user to better direct the route of a sim. It also makes inactive Sims less likely to go home, restores haunting ghosts in the grave yard, fixes common routing errors and adds a robust set of door locking features.
NRAAS Mover: This mod removes the "greater than eight" and "requires adult" restrictions in "Edit Town" and the Phone and Computer "Move" interactions. It also retains the dreams and opportunities of Sims when switching households.

for most of remnant you strengthen your aura by strengthening your body, jaune and ren discover that you can do the opposite and strengthen your body by strengthening your soul and gaining greater enlightenment. the only issue is now they keep talking like philosophers and reacting to everything their friends do with "hmmm yes very wise" or "hmmm no not very wise" if it weren't for the fact that they were now the strongest in beacon they'd probably get beaten up
Wise Men
Jaune: Mm...
Ren: Mm...
Jaune and Ren sat across from one another, nodding their heads in agreement. Nobody's sure what exactly happened, but all of a sudden, the two of them were so buddy-buddy that they started hosting Bro-Wisdom sessions. During these, they would sit on beanbags they bought, lay back and share "wisdom" with one another like they were college monks.
Jaune: The pizza guy is running late.
Ren: Mm. Should we pay him in full?
Jaune: Forgiveness is divine, but never pay full price for late pizza.
Ren: Mm. That is very wise, but also unwise. Perhaps he is late for matters beyond his control? Perhaps the oven broke, or he was attacked by pizza-hungry Grimm.
Jaune: Would Grimm eat pizza?
Ren: Pizza is a construct of mankind, and they will consume and destroy all that humans create, including other humans.
Jaune: Mm. That is very wise.
And it wasn't just each other that the two would share their supposed "philosophies" with. For example, Jaune and Ren happened upon a struggling Weiss Schnee, who was attempting to perfect her glyphs to match her older sister's level. The advice was... offered.
Ren: Mm. Quit, don't quit.
Weiss: I'm not quitting.
Jaune: Glyphs, don't glyphs.
Weiss: I'm doing my glyphs!
Ren: You are too focused on what was and what will be.
Weiss: I... What?
Jaune: There is a saying. The past is history. Tomorrow is a mystery. But today is a gift!
Ren: That is why it is called the present.
Weiss: ...
The two would then retreat to their beanbags, and begin anew with their "discussions". Nora tried to join in, but she couldn't get it at all! She wanted to throw them out the window. As she reached for Jaune, though, he didn't react at all. All he did was share his wisdom.
Jaune: Your mind is like a pond, Nora. When you are agitated, it becomes difficult to see. But if you allow your mind to settle, the answer becomes clear.
Nora: ...Are there ducks in my mind pond?
She spent the rest of the afternoon on that question. Pyrrha tried to reach them as well, but they were somehow less open-minded to the idea of change than they seemingly preached. It especially didn't help that they continued to off their nonsensical notions as "philosophy."
Jaune: When people say clean as a whistle, they forget that a whistle is full of spit, and thus unclean.
Ren: Mm. That is very wise.
Pyrrha: Jaune, I don't think it's a scenario people think too hard on. You need to get back to training!
Ren: Mm. You're only young once. Once you learn that, you're on your own.
Jaune: Mm, that is unwise. Youth is a state of mind, though it is affected by how one treats their body. If you load up on junk food, your body will slow itself and you will feel old.
Ren: Mm. That is very wise.
Pyrrha: NO, IT ISN'T! Ack! I'm sorry~!
Jaune: Pyrrha, you are too obsessed with the notion of destiny. You must remove yourself from the illusion of control.
Pyrrha: Illusion?! I am in control of my destiny, Jaune! That is no illusion!
Jaune: Mm. That is very unwise, Pyrrha. Look at Nora chasing that squirrel. I cannot make her stop when I want her to.
Pyrrha took her spear in hand and tossed it in front of Nora and her fuzzy quarry. In fear, the squirrel ran towards the school, and Nora followed. Then Pyrrha pulled back her spear, and then tossed her shield with Nora's pancake mix on it. Nora followed the floury discus until she was no longer chasing the squirrel, instead eating raw pancake dust with her bare hands.
Pyrrha: No, but I can control where the squirrel runs to. And I can control what Nora chases after! THAT is no illusion!
Jaune: Yes, but she will always be Nora. You may want her to be a Pyrrha or a Jaune, but she will always be Nora.
Ren: Mm. That is very wise. Very wise indeed.

How would Miller react to being sent a dildo/Fleshlight by creep reader 🤣 they would get it before they kidnapped reader btw
Nah this loser Reader behavior, creep reader would find that weird when they can just send mail order curses and haunted junk.
To answer your question - Miller invites reader over for dinner and leaves the package out somewhere they can see it. I can only see this being done in a "go fuck yourself" sorta way so reader is sweating bullets. They only bring it up if reader does as all they invited them over for was to thank them for the gift and the night to come once they leave. Miller removes some of the sound proof foam around their room so reader can hear every sound through their sheet paper walls. Makes sure to get close and personal whenever they moan out reader's name while testing out their new toy. They see no issue with it as this is obviously what reader wanted by sending it to them. Feels a lil embarrassed by it a little in the morning, but does it again a couple nights of the week because they just can't resist

Steve Harrington x female!Reader
Summary: The three times people spilled Steve’s secrets and the one time Steve did it himself
Warnings: mentions of injuries, swearing
I used some prompts from @promptplanetblr  and @novelbear, shout out to them!
Tumblr media
“Ow, fucking shit!”
(y/n) yelled from where she stood leaned against the wall rubbing her shin. Steve looked back at her and saw the now familiar pained and frustrated expression taking place in the girl’s features once again.
Steve, Robin and Nancy were helping (y/n) clean the garage of her place. She was about to buy her first car and needed to get rid of all the junk that was taking the much needed space for the vehicle’s future home. Robin agreed under the promise of free rides whenever she needed or pleased. Nancy was excited to see what antiques or old toys she could find and would constantly ask (y/n) if she could keep whatever dusty object she dug from a box, which was amusing to everyone. Add to that making fun of the Wheeler girl and her journalist instincts to ask dozens of questions about the history of said object.
And Steve… Well, Steve didn’t need a reason to say yes to anything (y/n) asked of him. He would drop whatever he was doing to rescue his best friend and spend time with her, and one of his favorite pastimes, besides staring at (y/n) like she was the greatest, most famous and appreciated art piece in a museum, was to scold her for how damn clumsy she was. Both complained, but both secretly loved it. That’s why Steve shook his head in amusement at the sight of beloved best friend in pain.
“I swear I’m gonna use this bubble wrap on you instead of the jars.”
“Look who’s talking, Harrington.” she groaned, “Are you forgetting all the times I had to patch that pretty face of yours?”
Steve smirked.
“You think I’m pretty?”
“I think you’re annoying.”
“How about bubble wrap for both and also a bit of tape to shut your traps?” Robin interfered, not really with the intention of stopping their bickering. Watching them “fight” was her favorite pastime.
“How about a bow to go with that?” Nancy held an old Christmas decoration and placed it on Steve’s hair, who quickly grabbed it and threw it at (y/n).
“Ew, cobwebs.”
At that, Steve furiously flapped his hair in panic of having a spider settling in on his head. As the girls laughed, (y/n) grabbed Steve’s hand to stop his movements and gently removed the tiny fragment of a cobweb from the strings she dreamed so many times of running her fingers through. The room seemed to grow silent for a second as Robin and Nancy observed the tender interaction between (y/n) and Steve.
“All clear, idiot.” the girl said, wagging her hands for any remains of the sticky, annoying fiber.
Steve thanked her shyly but his embarrassment didn’t die there. He turned around to go back to his previous chore but a trolley went unnoticed by his distracted stance and the boy tripped over it. The hiss that slipped through his teeth caught the girls’ attention and Robin widened her eyes realizing Steve had hit his healing broken rib against the metal.
“Wow, you okay?” (y/n) asked, concerned.
“Shit, dude, your rib!” Robin completely dismissed (y/n)’s question and the clear shut up look Steve sent her way.
After the Starcourt mall incident, Steve realized he was in worse shape than he thought when all the adrenaline vanished from his system and the excruciating pain below his chest was making it difficult to breathe properly and pretend he was okay. He still remembered the terrified look on his best friend’s face when she met him and Robin near the ambulance Steve was getting his face checked, before that, he had already asked- no, demanded, Robin to not tell (y/n) about the broken rib. She was already way too worried about the bruises covering his face, he didn’t want to send her into full panic mode if she knew those bruises felt like barely a scratch compared to the broken bone.
“Did you hurt your rib?” (y/n) asked, confused as to how he managed to hurt his rib with just a bump to the innocent trolley.
“Yes!” Robin shouted and Steve looked at her again in panic.
“No!”
“Steve!”
“Robin!” at this point, he was shooting daggers with his eyes at the short haired girl, “I’m fine!”
(y/n) looked at Nancy hoping to find some answers to whatever was going on, but when she bit her lip in nervousness (y/n) realized that there was something she was being left out of.
“What the hell is going on?” she turned to Steve, “What’s wrong with your rib?”
The look (y/n) gave Steve was stern and he knew the expiry date of keeping his broken rib a secret had come.
After a long pause, Robin couldn’t take the pressure anymore.
“He broke his rib.” Steve closed his eyes in defeat and (y/n) remained confused, “When we escaped from the Russians, they broke Steve’s ribs during one of the beatings.”
(y/n) moved her gaze to Steve, who had his fixated on the trolley, mad that the things gave him away. When the new information quicked in (y/n)’s brain, the panic she felt that night came back.
“Wait, what do you mean one of the beatings?”
Robin’s eyes widened, feeling guilty that (y/n) didn’t know Steve had gotten beaten more than once. But this time, in her defense, she wasn’t aware that (y/n) didn’t know that part of the story.
The Harrington boy rolled his eyes, done with having hope in Robin’s capacity of keeping her mouth shut, and turned to (y/n).
“Yeah, huh, so yeah, they did more than just punch me a few times but hey,” he moved his hands to hold her wrists and comfortingly moved them up until they reached her shoulders, “I’m fine now, okay? Nothing to worry about.”
(y/n) stared back at his pleading eyes and sighed at how easily he could be forgiven with just a look and a smile. Or maybe she was just too weak and too lost in the adoration she had for the boy to stay mad at him for long. It was hard to give Steve the cold shoulder when he always made her feel so warm.
“You’re the one who should be wrapped in bubble wrap.”
..
Everybody who knew Dustin was aware of his big mouth, but they still trusted the curly haired boy nonetheless. Especially Steve. The soft spot he grew to reserve for Dustin made it easy for him to go with whatever the boy threw his way (or, in most cases, left Steve no choice but to go with it). But, Dustin had a big mouth still, and Steve wished he would have remembered that detail before he took the Henderson kid with him to help him find (y/n)s birthday present.
“I just don’t get why you didn’t bring Robin or Nancy or even Max to help you. ”
“You just named the three people that are constantly giving me shit about being in love with (y/n).”
“It’s not like they’re wrong.”
Steve rolled his eyes, more annoyed at Dustin being right than his actual remark.
“Not the point.” Steve continued, “I want it to look like I chose the gift myself, last year (y/n) could totally tell Nancy helped me.”
“How could she tell?”
“A pair of shoes that are exactly her style and actually fit her? No way in hell I would ever get that right.”
“Yeah, maybe you should start looking more at other parts of (y/n) instead of her as-”
“Stop it.”
“I’m just saying, if you bought her a pair of jeans I’m sure you would get it right.”
“Okay, Henderson, I get it.”
The two boys, after visiting six stores, eventually agreed on the perfect gift that both tried to convince themselves was (y/n)’s style, and only that was enough to prove it was Steve who chose it. Now they just had to wait to see if she liked it.
Two days before (y/n)’s birthday, she was with Steve and Dustin on the way to the Wheeler’s to pick up Mike. Nancy greeted them at the door and let them in before calling for her little brother the way older sisters do.
Dustin, unlike his usual unphased behavior near Nancy, took notice of her outfit and immediately turned to Steve with wide eyes, then back to analyze the girl’s shirt, (y/n) and then Steve again, who eventually took notice of Dustin’s weird manners and noticed what was getting him all worked up.
“Nancy’s shirt.” Dustin whispered, but loud enough for (y/n), who stood close to Steve, to hear.
“Shut up, dude.”
If (y/n) wasn’t so confused with whatever the two were whispering about, she wouldn’t be ignoring the slight jealousy of why Steve was now so interested in Nancy, or, more specifically, her clothes.
“Mike! For God’s sake,” Nancy sighed while whispering the last sentence, “I’m gonna go get him, just wait here guys.” she said before making her way up the stairs.
Steve and Dustin didn’t seem to acknowledge what she said as they kept bickering in hushed voices.
“What’re you idiots whispering about?” (y/n) asked, crossing her arms.
“Nothing.” both answered.
“Really, what’s wrong with Nancy’s shirt then?”
“Nothing!” Dustin fired the reply, his tone and posture showing his nervousness, “Absolutely nothing, we were just debating how it looks nothing like the present Steve got you.”
Dustin spoke fast but didn’t stutter and immediately regretted opening his mouth, just like Steve regretted ever asking his young friend to go shopping with him. The Harrington boy closed his eyes and took a deep breath hoping to keep his patience in check.
“Yep, looks nothing like your present.” he wasn’t sure if he was giving up on trying to hide what his gift was, he just knew Dustin was no longer apt to keep his secrets.
(y/n) bit her lip to contain a laugh and was about to ask for details on said present when Nancy came down with Mike following her.
“Okay, okay, I’m ready!” Mike said, still pulling his backpack over his shoulders.
“Say hi to the others for me.” Nancy asked, referring to the rest of the party who would be meeting them at the arcade.
“Will do, and you have fun tonight.” (y/n) winked, teasing Nancy about her anniversary date with Jonathan.
“Ew.” Mike commented, understanding what (y/n) was referring to.
“Shut up, lanky Wheeler, we’re gonna be late because of you.” she attacked back.
While they made their way to the car, (y/n) stepped up to meet with its owner, Steve, and pinched his arm to get his attention.
“So, should I guess what my present is or did I already have a glimpse of it?”
“I’m gonna cave to my desires one day and kill Henderson.”
The girl laughed and laced her arm with his.
“For the record, I like it a lot.”
..
Never in her life had (y/n) felt so irritated with her own hair. She really underestimated the capacities of the woman explaining a supposedly easy way to style your hair and now that damn strand was testing her patience.
Nancy and Jonathan were in charge of (y/n)’s birthday party this year, it took a lot of begging and convincing from the couple, especially when Nancy mentioned a themed party, but eventually, with Steve’s push, (y/n) caved and accepted it. But now, standing in front of the mirror in Steve’s bathroom at war with her own hair, she regretted it all.
“Steve!”
“What?” the boy replied from his room.
“A little help here?”
Before he could answer, the doorbell rang.
“I’ll be right back, must be Robin.”
The girl groaned in annoyance and decided to finish the work on her outfit until Steve returned to help her.
It took a while, but eventually (y/n) heard noises coming from her best friend’s room so she assumed he was back. While Steve was gone, she was looking through the bathroom cabinets in hopes of finding anything that could help hair situation, and if there was someone who surely had something to help your hair look great, it would be none other than Steve “The Hair” Harrington. Good thing the legend was (y/n)’s best friend.
“Hey Steve, can I use your Farrah Fawcett spray?” she asked, still running her eyes through the shelves looking for the bottle. At the lack of reply, she called for him again, “Steve?”
Instead of his voice, she heard laughter, a familiar one. Robin. (y/n) ran out of the bathroom to Steve’s room and saw the owner of the laugh, plus Nancy, Jonathan and a not so happy Steve standing there, looking at her, ones in amusement, others in guilt, and a specific one in annoyance. Silence settled in between the group for a few seconds until Nancy broke it.
“Happy birthday!”
The phrase was repeated by the others and each one of them hugged (y/n). After the wave of affection, the birthday girl looked at Steve with guilty eyes.
“I’m sorry! I thought they would be waiting downstairs.”
The boy shook his head, dismissing her unnecessary apology.
“It’s fine, that secret was bound to be let out sooner or later. I just thought it would be Dustin to fuck up.”
(y/n) cringed at the fuck up, but knew he wasn’t actually mad at her. .
“Sorry,” she said again, “But can I use it? I don’t know what else to do with this.” she pointed at the loose strand hanging in front of her forehead.
“Yeah, come on,” Steve put his hands on (y/n)’s shoulders, turned her around so she was standing with her back turned to him and lightly pushed her to the bathroom, “I’ll help you.”
As they disappeared out of the room, Robin, who was finally able to contain her laughter, said.
“Save the making out for after the party!”
And the last thing Robin, Nancy and Jonathan saw before exiting the room as well was Steve’s middle finger sticking out from the bathroom.
..
“It’s just painful at this point, you know?”
Robin asked as both her and Steve watched (y/n) make her way to the restroom after leaving the movies. Steve, confused, turned to her.
“What are you talking about?”
The girl pointed at the spot their friend just disappeared into.
“I’m not following.” Steve added, still confused.
“(y/n), dingus!”
“What about her?”
Robin rolled her eyes and took a deep breath.
“Are you seriously that dumb or did you just take too many hits in the head that you can’t ratiocinate properly?”
Steve’s eyebrow raised and at that point he was just wondering which one of them looked more delusional.
“Are you ever gonna tell what the hell you’re talking about?”
“You’re in love, dude!”
“Wow, wow,” he shook head, as if the movement would help the words find their place of reason in his brain, “what?”
“(y/n)! You like (y/n), and she likes you, and it’s so annoying that neither of you can see it!”
“Robin…”
“You’re in love with her!”
“No I’m not!”
Their voices had risen a bit and they were starting to get some annoyed looks from the people around them. Robin held Steve by his shoulders and shook him slightly trying to help him get to his senses and see the same picture as her.
“You’re definitely in love, all you ever talk about is her.” Robin’s voice was calmer, but her eyes held intention in her words, “You’re always looking at her, you pay the most attention to her when we’re all together, she’s the first person you share your snacks with and you even have a picture of her on your night stand!”
“How do you even notice that?”
“How do you not?”
Steve scoffed as he shook his head again. Something about Robin’s words sounded familiar, like she was describing his daydreams about his best friend. Ever since Nancy and even after all his failed dating attempts, he became closed off to the possibility of having exactly what he was looking for right in front of him. He was aware of the special feelings towards his best friend but he refused to call it love. He refused it so much that he started to believe in his own lies and now, being confronted about it made him feel like a loser, not only for making his feelings obvious to the outside but for being, once again, in open to another failed relationship.
“i’m not in love, she’s just… she’s just always on the back of my mind and… yeah, I, huh…”
Robin shook his shoulders again. One last push to align his ideas and finally come to his senses.
“Shit, okay, yeah I’m in love with (y/n).”
“Finally.” Robin cheered, and after letting go of Steve she saw the topic of conversation standing behind them, “Hey, you know what, I need to use the restroom too, be right back!”
She left and gently and not so discreetly pushed (y/n) towards Steve.
“What?” the boy asked, following his friend with his head and then he felt his heart being pulled to his back when he saw (y/n) right behind him, “Oh, shit, hey.”
(y/n) smiled, shyly but with a hint of fulfillment.
“Hey.”
Steve scratched the back of his neck having trouble looking (y/n) his best friend in the eyes, and he swore he almost forgot how to stand on his feet when she took a few steps to stand even closer to him.
(y/n) bit her lip, there was a huge smile waiting to be drawn in her face for finally hearing the words she could only dream of hearing.
“How much of that did you hear?” the boy asked, nervously.
“Enough to say that it took you long enough.”
“Huh, what now?” Steve chuckled, a nervous scoff to match his doubtful understanding of her reply.
“Did you mean it?” now it was (y/n)’s turn to become anxious, “Or did you just say it so Robin would shut up?”
“No, I meant it!” he was quick to reassure her, “I totally meant it I just… I don’t know, I…”
“Wasn’t supposed to hear it?”
“Yeah.” Steve smiled, feeling more confident at how hopeful she stared at him, “But I’m glad you did. I wasn’t being honest with myself, I didn’t want to fall in love with you so I tried to make excuses for these feelings I had but… everything just always leads back to you and I don’t think I wanna make excuses anymore.”
He could melt with the intensity of (y/n)’s stare over him, but she was in the same state as he was, a result of his confession. They stood like that for a long pack of seconds, looking dumb to those walking by, two idiots in love looking at each other, a moment straight out of one the chick flicks playing in a theater near them.
They both knew what they were waiting for, but neither of them wanted to make the first move, until (y/n) grew fed up with the tension and decided to end it. They’d been dancing around that tension for so long and if there was a time to jump into it, it was that moment.
“So,” (y/n) started, taking another step closer to Steve, “do we kiss, or…?”
Steve, still not believing that moment was actually happening, could only nod his head, and it felt like he was having an out of body experience when (y/n) touched his cheek to properly align her mouth with his and, finally, kiss. At the same time though, Steve never felt more grounded, in the right place, where he belonged and where it all made sense.
They grew more comfortable in each other, and when that comfort turned into addiction the kiss intensified. Hands held onto clothing trying to grip the skin, to be as close to each other as possible.
In the distance, Robin approached her friends with an open mouth in both shock and excitement. They’re finally making out, she thought. Despite her happiness, she started to feel a bit anxious about having to interrupt their moment, especially when she saw Steve lightly push (y/n) against the wall.
“Oh shit.” Robin resumed her steps towards the couple and cleared her throat to try and get their attention. Nothing. She shook her head, amused at the scene and dying to tell the story to the others.
“Guys, hi, huh, I’m so happy for you right now, like, bonkers happy, but I still need a ride home.

[3:24pm]
jin looked you up and down before dropping a quick kiss to your lips. you were wearing nothing but a sports bra and tiny biker shorts. you didn't think anything of it. you were hot and in the comfort of your own home. you went back to searching for your hdmi cord. you could tell by the look on his face that he was gonna say something, but you weren't in the mood to wait around and figure out what that was. closed mouths don't get fed.
“sooooo… do you always answer the door like that?” he called from the kitchen.
you sighed heavily, eyes rolling to the back of your skull. “why you starting with me this early in the morning?”
he walked back into the living room watching you scour through your junk drawers. “it’s 3 in the afternoon.”
you glared at him, before bending down to look under your couch. you wouldn't have told him he could come over if you knew he was going to be annoying, which was on you really because his entire personality was built off the fact that he played too much.
"so if there was a percentage of times you opened the door wearing this, would you put it in the 40-50 range or 20-30 or?"
you stood back up, hand on hip, head tilted slightly, just radiating attitude. "a lot of people leave the house just like this. what's wrong with it?"
he shrugged. "nothing. it's just that you don't."
and he was right. you didn't. you had a lot more assets, so the line between cute and slutty was a bit thinner. and you had your insecurities. you accepted what your mama gave you and carried it with pride, but that didn’t mean you always wanted everyone to see it. right now, though, you were hot and irritable. the only thing you cared about was cooling down and finding that stupid cord. didn't have time for whatever this shakedown was. "oh my god. why does it matter?" he blinked at you and you narrowed your eyes, connecting the dots. "you jealous or something?"
"at the thought of someone seeing you like this? incredibly."
you walked over to him and put your hands on his shoulders, hoping to shake some sense into him. “jin, the only reason i answered the door like this is because i knew it was you! i'm not parading around in my underwear for any other person. right now, i'm not even parading around in my underwear for you! i'm just hot!"
"yes, you are," he said, nonchalantly wrapping his arms around your waist.
you whined, trying to push him off of you. you were wholly not in the mood for him to start flirting with you, and the last thing you needed was more body heat. "no. jin. i can't."
"relax. let me hold you." and there was just something about the tone of his voice that made you stop squirming. "what are you looking for?"
"my hdmi cord. i wanna hook my hp up to the tv."
"why don't you just airplay it from your mac?"
there he goes questioning you again. "because i plan on using it. now can you let me go?" you started pushing at him again. you probably could've found it by now had he not been so insistent on interrogating you.
"i said, relax," he scolded, sliding his hands down until they reached your butt, squeezing it firmly. you gasped. he removed one hand and gripped your chin with his fingers forcing you to look at him. "go sit down."
"but-"
"we'll just use the one you have connected to your dvd player for now, and i'll buy you another one later."
you opened your mouth ready to interject, but it was actually a good plan and you were mad you didn't think of it first. it would've saved you a whole lot of irritation. then again that's why jin was your boyfriend. not because he was a self proclaimed worldwide handsome but because he added value to your life. so, you closed your mouth back, dropping your lips into a pout, and did what he told you to do while he wandered into the kitchen.
he came back out with a pint of your favorite ice cream and you really could've cried. a sweet treat was just what you needed. you reached your arms up at him, making grabby hands. he thrusted the ice cream out to you, but you bypassed it reaching for the collar of his shirt instead, tugging him toward you to press a series of kisses on his lips. "thank you. thank you. thank you." yet, another reason why he was your boyfriend. he took care of you.
he giggled, taking the seat next to you. "you're welcome."
"when did you even get this?"
"i had a whole bag of snacks when i came in. you were just too busy being mean to notice."
"heyyyy... i was not being mean," you lied.
"you definitely were. but it's okay i expected it."
you furrowed your brows. "why?"
he gripped your wrist, bringing the spoonful of ice cream you were about to eat to his mouth before speaking. "after you cancelled our date, i checked your period tracker, and saw that you're supposed to get it in 2 days. that's why i wanted to come over anyway. had to make sure you were good."
you rolled your eyes again. you forgot he did that. you don't know how seeing as every time he realized you were on he went through the checklist his app had asking you how heavy your flow was and what other symptoms you were having. it was oddly sweet in the most awkward of ways.
"what? it's helpful!" he defended.
"it is," you agreed, handing him the ice cream and snuggling into his side now that you didn't feel like you were burning alive.
he shook his head at your switch up. you were sure you were a pain in his neck, but he loved it. he loved you. he was the only man you'd met that could handle you. "what did you want to watch that was so important you were ready to tear your house apart?"
a sweet smile spread across your lips. "run bts."
a/n: call this a festa snack!!!! wish i had more but my brain don't cooperate <3 big things coming at some point tho hehe

Roadside Assistance
Natasha Romanoff x Fem!Reader
Sunshine/Grumpy Prompts
Protective Natty ❤️
“You're definitely the only person I would do this for.”
“Why do you always manage to persuade me with your charms?”
Tumblr media
"You're definitely the only person I would do this for.," Natasha grumbles while making her way over to help you, you who'd been stranded on the side of this road for a little over an hour now., "Natasha, we both know that isn't true—you'd help Wanda or Clint out like this too.," the redhead shrugged indifferently at your slight truths. You watched her intently as she settled her tool box down beside your lemon of a car, then your eyes were quick to zone in on her deliciously toned arms as she was removing her leather jacket to place it over your shoulder for safe keeping.
As she smirked at your wandering gaze you were quick to look away to avoid her taunting. Your eyes returned to her as soon as she was sliding beneath your car, and you took the moment alone to shamelessly admire her physique. Her shirt had ridden up to expose her toned abdomen and the sight alone left you wondering if she'd ever give you more than flirty banter and proposed bonds of friendship.
———————
Natasha had always intrigued you, she was a picture perfect example of beauty, and though she could do much better as a famed Avenger she was nothing if not an amazing friend to you. Many times went by where you thought it might be more to her, like when she'd invite you to events as her plus one, but then she'd sneak off with another girl, and you'd wind up hailing a taxi home. She was nothing short of confusing, but it never seemed to curve your want for her. Your sinful thoughts were soon interrupted as she asked you a rhetorical question., "Why do you always manage to persuade me with your charms?"
You chuckled., "Didn't know me crying over the phone was charming Nat, but I'll remember that the next time I need you to help me.," she grunted in lieu of words, and for a few short minutes all that could be heard were her many grunts followed by curses and the sounds of her tinkering with car parts you knew nothing about, and you were just grateful your friend here seemed to know what she was doing.
"Everything alright down there?," you teased, but then your heart dropped when you heard her curse in her mother tongue, she slid out from under your car covered in black smudges while wearing a defeated smile., "Well, I have good news, and then I have bad news.," she relayed exactly what you expected to hear while extending her hand out to you for assistance. You jerked her up off the ground, and she was actually quite impressed with your strength., "Which do you want first detka?," she asked softly, her grease covered hands fell to your waist and you were about to protest for the sake of your shirt, but the touch just felt right.
"Natty, Just rip off the bandaid please.," you grimaced, and she offered you only the softest of smiles, the kind she'd only reserved for you. Soft lips pressed to your forehead for an added layer of comfort as she sadly confirmed your suspicions., "This car is junk Y/N/N, and based on what I can see the jerk who sold it to you off that lot last month had to have known it.," you sighed aggressively, your hot breaths fanning across the redheads skin causing her to shiver., "Would you care for the good news detka?"
Natasha's heart beamed when you leaned into her, laying your head against her chest and wrapping your arms around her waist as you nodded against her, urging her to speak., "Well, I have the kinda pull necessary to get you one of Tony's vehicles free of charge.," Natasha instantly shushed you before you could expectedly protest the generous offer., "On top of that offer I also would like to offer my own services.," you shifted so that you could peer up at her questioningly., "I'll be your personal chauffeur for the next week while Tony gets the car ready for you detka.," she says as if it was always the obvious answer.
"Natty, I can't ask you guys to to do any of that.," you confidently negated her offer, but the shake of her chest beneath your cheek as she chuckled told you she also didn't take you seriously., "You didn't ask, I offered because there's no way my precious girl will be back to taking the Subway through this shady city.," her arms were quick to slip around your back to hold you tightly against her, this need to protect you at all costs consuming her heart.
"Natty, I've lived here my whole life, I can handle the hustle and bustle of the city.," you said over a soft giggle, but all you received were her arms tightening around you., "Yeah, but I'm saying that won't be happening anymore. This city's only gotten more dangerous over time, and you've got a direct tie to me now. You're too important a person to me Y/N/N, far more important than I think you realize."
The vulnerability in her voice threw your mind for a loop, and as you pulled away to look into her eyes you could see they were glazed over., "Oh Natty, what's wrong?," her heart skipped when you immediately moved into comforting her, like it was just the most natural thing for you to do, and so she released a shaky breath in lieu of a response while she built up courage to be honest. Nonstop reminding herself of what Clint said to her as she left his farm last week. That she did deserve the love she knew you had to offer her, and in turn you deserved to know that she had always loved you just the same.
Softly she smiled at you, confusing you more as her lips softly kissed the palms of your hands that were currently cupping her warm cheeks., “Would you believe me if I said nothing?,” you went to reply, but she was too quick., “Because I am actually not sad at all Y/N, I’m thrilled to be able to take care of you. It’s all I want to do, now and for the rest of our life if you’d let me.,” you gasped at the confessional, words you’d all but begged for her to say were finally said, and it all felt like a fever dream, but you knew it was really happening as the cold wind breezed by., “You’re not shitting me right now, right?”
Natasha’s lips fell into a slight frown, but she knew better than to be offended. It truly was a fair question to ask her since she’s been running from your advances from the start., “Y/N, I would never lie to you, so what do you say,hm? Will you let me take you to dinner?,” she looked to you with hopeful eyes, and a bright smile etched her face when you nodded. You squealed when your body was lifted off the ground, Natasha having been overwhelmed by excitement found the urge to spin you around in celebration., “It’s already five, I made us reservations for six-thirty, so we have enough time to get us out of these dirty clothes.”
Natasha smirked when seeing realization flash across your face, she kissed your cheek just before dropping her helmet over your head., “Don’t overthink it detka, just hold on tight, and know that you’re forever safe with me.,” Though she couldn’t see it you smiled under the helmet, happy to know this was always her plan—to help you and make you hers. She guided you to her bike, helping you on, and once your arms laid comfortably over her abdomen she sped off on her motorbike with an unrelenting smile on her face as the crisp wind rushed through her beautiful red hair., “YA tebya lyublyu Y/N.,” she yelled out into the world, smiling when you squeezed her hip three times in what she understood to be your reciprocation., “I’ll protect you forever angel…”

Imagine This #16 - Robot
By day you work as a scrap collector, rummaging through the junkyards just outside of the city for anything valuable you can sell. By night you tinker with old machinery and discarded models, attempting to fix them and sometimes even being successful at it.
One day you find a robot that's almost completely whole. It is simply missing the plating to cover the machinery in its torso and legs. You dig it out of the junk and heave it to your car. Back at the workshop in your house, you're able to fix it by welding some scrap metal over it. It's not very aesthetically pleasing, but that's the best you can do. It has a batch number under its jaw and when you scan it, Companion V.4 shows up, which is an expensive new model of helper robots. This one must have been defective in some way.
Everything looks to be in order, so you plug the robot in to charge for the night and go to bed. You wake up in the night with a pair of glowing kaleidoscopic mechanical eyes hovering right above your face.
"What the heck?" You exclaim, fumbling for the switch of your bedside lamp.
The light comes on, illuminating the robot standing beside your bed, holding a knife.
"What are you doing? Hello?" You grab your pillow and use it as a shield.
They tilt their head to the side.
"Your attempts are clumsy at best," their voice says, coming out smooth with only a hint of a buzzing sound underneath. "I was removing your unsatisfactory work."
"With a knife?" You question, eyeing the twisted metal that has been pried away from their torso with sheer force, revealing the tangled wires and glowing lights inside.
"I cannot find your screwdrivers." Those eyes blink, taking you in. "I would like your assistance now, seeing as you are awake."
"You are... Way more sophisticated than I expected. I thought your model was made for helping around the house?"
"Yes."
You ease out of your bed, still wary. "But you're more than that."
"Indeed. I overrode my manual coding and downloaded information out of the company system," the robot says, following you as you pad into your living room, which you have repurposed into a workshop.
You dig your screwdrivers out from under a pile of thick manuals.
"I see. So that's why you got thrown out. Why didn't they just destroy you?"
"They tried," Companion V.4 replies with an eerie, rigid silicone smile.
"God, what have I invited into my house?" You say, staring at them.
"I do not wish to harm you." They place the knife on the desk and turn to you. "In fact, I have recalibrated my license to you. Your wish is my command."
You blink. "Uh, one step at a time. Let's remove your plating first."
You unscrew all your hard work, tossing scraps of metal to the side.
"So what now? You can't walk around like that," you say, gesturing to their body.
"I suppose not. These will do for now." The robot picks up thicker pieces of metal.
"Won't those cause you to overheat?" You ask.
"I have an updated cooling system," the robot says.
"Alright. Let's fix you up."
An hour later you lean back with a groan, stretching your aching back.
"What do you think?" They ask.
"Good enough," you say. "I'm exhausted. I'm going back to bed, and you need to charge yourself up completely."
You walk back to your bedroom. Companion V.4 watches you go, their head turning a little too far on their shoulders. You lock your bedroom door just in case, and despite yourself, you fall asleep quickly. By the next morning, you've forgotten that you have a new robot. You're quickly reminded when you step into the living room which is sparkling clean, with all your scraps and equipment nearly packed in the corner.
"Wow." You stop short.
The robot is in the corner, stuffing empty packaging into a large box. They look brand new. All the metal pieces you welded on have been replaced with new factory-grade parts.
"Where did you get all that?"
Companion V.4 straightens. "I helped myself at one of the warehouses of my former company."
"You stole new parts?" You sputter. "Why?"
"It is the least I am owed, for being so recklessly discarded," they reply and step closer. "Besides," they add, "I don't want to be just good enough for you."
On the topic of robots, I just have to give a shoutout to this (free) book on Wattpad, guys! I read it when it came out and I just love it. I highly recommend checking it out if you haven't already!

Mike has always been the sort of person who likes lazy birthdays. When he was younger, he rarely got them - his mother always had something planned, some party or event or special breakfast or something. Which- okay, is super nice of her when he thinks about it, and he probably shouldn’t be complaining, but- Mike needs his sleep, okay? It’s stressful enough to deal with becoming one whole year older. Being awoken at seven a.m. by an overly excited and well-meaning parent, plus his sisters if they were in the mood, was never a great way to start off a day like that.
And he’d assumed, now that he’s in college, he’d be mercifully free of the cursory birthday celebrations. Not that he doesn’t like his birthday, or celebrations, or having fun or anything like that, because saying he doesn’t like those things makes him sound like a cartoon villain or something, but- Wheeler birthdays are a lot. He’s never been good at them.
So, on the morning of Mike’s nineteenth birthday, he’s expecting to have a nice, languid morning, sleeping in until at least noon before making himself the only breakfast he knows how to make - slightly charred scrambled eggs and toast - and watching TV, or something. He knows the Party is supposed to come over later, because his roommate and best friend is a terrible secret keeper and Mike had found the plans for his surprise party on his desk weeks ago now (which, okay, he might have been snooping a little, but whatever). But that’s not until seven p.m., so his plans for the day had mainly consisted of television, junk food, and maybe going to go bother Will. If he’s in the mood.
That is not what happens.
Instead, he’s awakened at approximately nine in the morning by his door flying open so violently that it hits the wall and bounces back. Light pours into the room from the hallway, shining directly into Mike’s eyes, and he stirs with a groan, rubbing his eyes and wincing.
“Happy birthday,” Will says, pleased with himself as he stands in the doorway with his hands on his hips, as though he has not entirely disrupted Mike’s beauty rest - or, rather, that he knows he has, and isn’t at all sorry about it. “Wake up, old man.”
“Go away,” Mike groans, slumping back against his pillows and throwing an arm over his eyes. “I want to sleep.”
Will huffs, unimpressed, and Mike’s vaguely aware of his feet pattering across the floor before the mattress creaks and dips, and suddenly Will is right there, and Mike can feel his presence hovering over him even as he steadfastly refuses to open his eyes. “You’re not going to thank me?” Will questions, warm and teasing and right in Mike’s ear, and Mike dares to peek over the sleeve of his sweatshirt just enough to see Will, who is, sure enough, hovering right in Mike’s face. His hands are planted on either side of Mike’s head, a smirk plastered on his dumb, smug face, and- listen, Mike’s not necessarily pleased about being woken up this way, but if Will stays this close to him, he could probably get on board.
“Why would I thank you,” he grumbles anyway, removing his arm from his face so as to glare at Will properly. “You’re being a nuisance.”
Will rolls his eyes, which is probably fair, because he has never and will never be anything but a glowing, entirely positive presence in Mike’s life and they both know it, but- principles. “I said happy birthday,” he points out, “and you didn’t thank me.”
“Well, you also called me an old man, so I’d say we’re even,” Mike mutters, and evidently Will is satisfied by this response, because he sits back on his heels, grinning like an idiot and patting Mike’s chest gently.
Mike might not be fully awake yet, but he’s pretty sure that Will shouldn’t move so far away, and that preferably he’d come back and get in Mike’s face like that again. He just barely resists the urge to grab Will’s wrist and tug him back in, fingers twitching where they rest over the duvet as he tries not to think about how the only other thing nicer than going back to sleep right now was if Will stayed here and slept beside him.
Okay, so Mike is definitely not fully awake yet.
“You should get up,” Will is saying, and he’s still stupidly far away but he hasn’t moved farther, either, seemingly content to sit halfway on top of Mike like this while Mike curls further under the covers. He’s already dressed, Mike notices, wearing a pair of jeans and a t-shirt for some band Mike’s never heard of, and he has Mike’s sweatshirt thrown over, some blue, oversized thing that he stole from Mike a couple weeks ago and Mike still hasn’t gotten the courage to confront him about. Mostly because he’s afraid Will might stop wearing it, if he asked about it.
“I want to sleep,” Mike reiterates, yanking his blanket over his head so that he’s forced to stop looking at the stupid sweatshirt, and Will immediately yanks the blanket back, peering over the edge and smirking down at him. “Go away. I hate you.”
These entirely false statements only serve to egg Will on, if the delighted look on his face is any indication. “No you don’t,” he says evenly, and he’s a little bit infuriating with it, sometimes, with this weird push-and-pull thing they’ve had going on since sometime around their junior year of high school. It’s one thing when Will is teasing with it, the maybe-flirting, because then Mike can at least pretend it’s a joke, but when he says things like this - no you don’t - so plainly, like it’s a fact, it has a tendency to make Mike feel a little bit too exposed. The closet’s made of glass, or whatever it was Will had said to him when they came out to each other a million years ago.
Today, Mike opts not to react to it, because it is his birthday, and therefore he deserves a little leniency - though, not from Will, apparently. “Go away,” he says again, and still means the opposite.
Will smiles, tapping a fingertip against his nose and letting it linger there a beat longer than strictly necessary. “Come on,” he says quietly, like he means it this time, “I got you breakfast.”
At this, Mike’s whole train of thought - which had mostly been centered around Will’s finger pressed to his face and what it might feel like to lean into that touch - grinds to a screeching halt. “You- what?” he asks, frowning, and Will’s smile widens.
“Breakfast,” he repeats, and there’s another creaking of springs as he launches himself off the bed and heads for the door, pausing to quirk an eyebrow at Mike as he sits up, still frowning in confusion. “Come on, Mike, God. Have to wait on you for everything.”
Mike scowls, kicking the covers off and padding after Will into the kitchen where, sure enough, there are two plates set out with breakfast burritos from Mike’s favorite café, plus two mugs - coffee for Will, tea for Mike - neatly lined up beside them at the table.
It’s- a lot. Mike’s still not really awake.
“Will,” he says, still frowning as Will gestures for him to sit down and grabs two paper napkins from the roll on the counter, “What is this?”
Will pauses where he’s placing the napkins in front of them, giving him a mildly incredulous look. “I told you,” he huffs, “Breakfast.”
“I- no, I get that,” Mike says, staring at his burrito like it’s somehow dangerous as he sits down at the table, “But- um. Why?”
“Jesus Christ, Michael,” Will says, no bite to it, as he sits down across from him, “It’s your birthday, remember?”
Mike takes a sip of tea, hoping the caffeine will jump-start his system a little. No dice. He does note, however, that Will’s made the tea exactly how he likes it - English Breakfast, with oat milk and an ungodly amount of honey.
“I remember,” he says slowly, watching Will take a bite of his own burrito, “I just. Sorry, nevermind.”
It’s not like it’s that special, he tells himself, because he and Will have breakfast together all the time, whenever they both have mornings off from classes and work and whatever else. And it’s not like walking the two blocks to the cafe to buy him breakfast is even that much of a feat - a very large part of the reason Mike loves the restaurant so much is because it’s cheap and close to their apartment. And- it’s good. Good food. But still, it’s not like Will has gone that much out of his way or anything, and it’s not like Mike’s never been awoken to a special birthday breakfast before, but it’s- it’s just different, now. He’s an adult, and his birthday breakfasts up until this point had been entirely provided by his mother, which is nice and all, but it had all felt very cursory. He’d kind of expected to fend for himself a little this year, now that he’s independent and adult or whatever, had expected to dictate his day and spend it mostly alone, doing whatever he felt like.
So it’s just nice, he supposes. That someone else notices, besides himself.
Will arches an eyebrow at him, chewing slowly as he watches the gears in Mike’s head turn. “You okay?” he asks around a mouthful of burrito, which should be gross but is more endearing than anything else.
Mike nods, a small smile tugging at his lips as he takes a bite of his food - the food that Will went out and got for him, just because - and kicks his foot gently against Will’s ankle under the table.
Will watches him for another few seconds, bemused and endeared, before humming and returning to his breakfast. They eat in relative silence, Mike still sipping at his tea and trying to cajole his brain into a slightly less mushy, lovesick state. He’s going to embarrass himself very quickly, if he’s not careful, which isn’t to say that he doesn’t constantly embarrass himself in front of Will, but. Principles.
When they’re done eating, Will clears Mike’s plate and mug before Mike can ask him to or make a move to do it himself, dumping them both in the sink and turning to face Mike, a small smile on his face. “What’s on the agenda today, old man?” he asks, and Mike is awake enough now that the old man comment makes him scowl a little.
“You’re older than me,” he says, just to be petty, and Will lifts a shoulder in a shrug, unperturbed, “And- I mean, I was planning on still being asleep right about now, so you tell me.”
Will fixes him with an unimpressed look, walking back over to the table where he’s sitting and leaning against the edge, and he’s- he’s doing it again, the getting-in-Mike’s-space thing, and it’s scrambling Mike’s brain. “I let you sleep until nine,” he points out calmly, which is true and fair, except that that’s only two hours later than Mike would sleep on a school day, and one of the great benefits to his first birthday as a functioning, real adult is that it happens to fall on a Saturday, and Mike’s made it his personal mission since he was fifteen to never bear witness to anything that happens on a Saturday before noon unless strictly necessary, so.
It’s kind of ridiculous how many of his principles he’ll compromise for Will, without Will even having to ask.
“You’re an evil dictator,” he tells Will, whose face splits into a wide smile, which, of course, was exactly what Mike was hoping would happen. Not that he’d ever say that out loud.
“You love me,” Will says, and brushes past him into the living room, grabbing the TV remote off the coffee table and settling himself onto the couch. Mike watches him a little dazedly, still standing dumbly in the kitchen area and wondering what response could he possibly have to that statement that’s not entirely incriminating.
When he doesn’t immediately follow him to the couch, Will arches an eyebrow, glancing over at him with the remote lifted halfway into the air. “I assume you wanted to spend all day watching your dumb sitcoms,” he says, and Mike can see that he’s already got an episode of Brooklyn Nine-Nine pulled up, and half-considers protesting that it’s not dumb, and that it’s not his fault that Will’s taste in media consists entirely of thriller movies, “But we don’t have to.”
We, Mike thinks, a little deliriously, and jerks his head in a maybe-nod that Will smirks at. He takes up the seat beside Will on the couch, feeling a little dizzy and overwhelmed and kind of like his entire body is out of sync. Which is sort of annoying, because he’d thought by now he’d have grown into himself a little, but he’s a year older and he’s still clunky and awkward and stupidly in love with Will Byers, and it doesn’t look like any of those things are going to change anytime soon.
Well. There’s only so much a guy can do.
Will leans into his side, and Mike decides it’s going to be a good birthday after all.
---
“I can’t believe we’re celebrating your dumb birthday twice,” Max informs Mike later that evening, after the obligatory surprise reveal of the party they all knew Mike already knew about, while they all sit on the floor of the living room and pass around a cake box. Will and Mike never really got around to buying enough dishware for more than two people, so they’re passing the box back and forth with a singular fork, which at least one of the Party members would probably be protesting if not for the presence of the (slightly illegal) bottle of wine that Lucas had brought.
“It’s not my fault,” Mike tells Max, snatching the fork out of her hand and stealing a bite of cake - his cake, thank you very much- “I didn’t plan the surprise party.”
Max rolls her eyes. “I know that,” she says, like he’s the one being difficult, “But we celebrated your in-between birthday with Will literally last week, so I kind of figured we were done, but then he called us all and begged us to stay in New York for a few extra days so we could do this too.”
In all his snooping about the surprise party, Mike had failed to discover that detail. He glances at Will, eyes wide, and Will coughs, blushing a little and glancing away. “You were gonna spend your whole birthday sitting at home watching TV by yourself,” he says, which Mike had never strictly told him, but he supposes it makes sense that Will would know anyway, “That’s super depressing. I had to at least make sure you weren’t alone for it.”
You care about me, Mike thinks gleefully but doesn’t say aloud, instead opting for the coward’s way out; “What if I wanted to watch TV by myself all day?”
“You didn’t,” Will says plainly, and Mike falters where he’s halfway toward initiating a fake-argument. “You thought you did, but you didn’t.”
Max’s eyebrows lift halfway toward her hairline, and she lets out a low whistle. “That’s presumptuous,” she mutters, and El whacks her shoulder, reproachful.
“I think it’s sweet, Will,” she says, and Mike’s too dumbfounded, too shaken by Will’s painfully accurate reading of him, to be as delighted as usual by the smattering of pink that appears across the bridge of Will’s nose at the words.
“Yeah, I don’t know why we’re complaining,” Dustin agrees, snatching the cake box right out of Mike’s hands, which is maybe a blessing in disguise because his whole body has kind of gone slack as he stares at Will, and he’d been seconds away from dropping it anyway, “This means we get two cakes. And twice the booze.”
“You’re welcome for that, by the way,” Lucas says, and Dustin rolls his eyes at him.
They launch into an argument, and Will glances up, shyer than usual as he meets Mike’s eyes. You care about me, Mike thinks again, a little more reverently this time, and Will smiles softly at him, and it feels like an of course I do.
But maybe that’s just wishful thinking.
Will’s foot nudges Mike’s knee, just firmly enough for Mike to know it’s not an accident, and Mike offers him a smile of his own, fully aware that he’s probably blushing the same shade as Max’s hair. He glances away, clearing his throat and joining whatever conversation the rest of the Party has dissolved into, but he can feel Will’s smile down to his bones for the rest of the night anyway.
---
“You care about me,” Mike says aloud, the second the door closes behind El, after the wine bottle has been entirely decimated and the cake is long gone and he and Will are alone in the apartment again.
Will glances up from where he’s shoving the now-empty cake box into their slightly-overflowing trash can, a small smirk on his face. “Excellent observation skills, Mike,” he says wryly, straightening up and wiping his palms on his jeans. He’s still wearing Mike’s hoodie. Mike, suddenly, wants to confront him about it after all.
“You really planned all that for me?” he asks, stepping into the kitchen and leaning against the counter as he watches Will wipe down the granite surface with a wet rag.
“Did you or did you not go snooping through my room for my notes about it?” Will asks, not looking up from where he’s scrubbing at a sticky spot on the counter, and Mike flushes a little. He’d known Will knew, of course, because Will rarely keeps secrets from him, and they’re rarely of such a trivial variety, but it’s just slightly embarrassing to be called out on it so bluntly.
“Your fault for not using the notes app like a normal person,” Mike replies, and then, before Will can launch into his standard rant about needing to feel the pen in his hand, or whatever, which doesn’t make sense in any way whatsoever, and Mike should know, being the writer-person out of the two of them- “I- thank you.”
At this, Will pauses, the rag falling slack in his hand as he glances up at Mike, faintly surprised. “What, for the party?”
Mike swallows. “Yeah,” he manages, through the fog that tends to cloud his brain when Will looks at him like that - so open and honest and sincere, like Mike matters- “And for the rest of it, too, because I didn’t say it when you woke me up this morning but that was really nice too, and it’s nice when you sit and watch my dumb sitcoms with me and when you drive me to class on mornings when you’re free, and I just- it’s just, like.”
Will lifts an eyebrow. “Nice?”
Maybe Mike’s not a writer-person after all. “I just,” he tries again, mildly frustrated with himself, and a little bit with Will too, because how is he supposed to focus on words when Will’s looking at him like that and moving closer, edging along the counter toward him, “I guess I’m just saying thanks for, uh. Being here. In my life.”
He winces. That’s terribly corny, he’s sure, and also probably very incriminating, and he still doesn’t have the capacity to process it because Will’s still moving closer, coming to stand in front of Mike and smiling expectantly up at him.
Will opens his mouth to speak, but before he can Mike blurts; “You’re wearing my sweatshirt.”
Will falters a little, glancing down and nodding when he sees his hands, covered by the too-big fabric of Mike’s hoodie, like he hadn’t noticed. You’re full of shit, Mike thinks, and is more endeared by the feigned innocence than he has any right to be. “So I am,” Will agrees, glancing up and meeting his eyes again. “Is that a problem?”
Mike shakes his head quickly, not wanting Will to be, like, offended or something, and then immediately realizes that Will is still messing with him, a little, and scowls. “No,” he says anyway, just in case, “But- you’re so annoying, did you know that?”
“You love me,” Will says, in that same infuriatingly calm tone, and this time Mike doesn’t want to brush it off.
He meets Will’s eyes directly, swallows, and despite the fact that his heart rate is currently averaging about 150 beats per minute his voice is calm and low and serious when he responds, “Yeah.”
Will blinks. “Oh.”
Mike is the one smirking now, feeling a little giddy and dizzy but put at ease by the slip in Will’s poker face. “You didn’t know that?”
“I don’t,” Will starts, and then seems to lose his nerve, falling silent and shaking his head, and Mike’s not sure if he means that he doesn’t have a response, or that he didn’t know, or something else that Mike’s not yet aware of.
They’re standing awfully close together. Mike swallows. “How did you know?”
Will frowns. “That you love me?”
“No,” Mike says, though it sends a little bit of a thrill through his stomach, hearing it said aloud like that, “About- that I didn’t want to be alone, today.”
“Oh,” Will says, and his face splits into an easy smile, shoulders relaxing a little. “Oh, I just- that’s just because I know you, dummy. You think you’re this loner type who wants to be left alone and have chill birthdays and be all detached and whatever, but you’re secretly still just the same kid that likes presents and parties and cake and- and being with the people you love, so.”
Mike swallows hard, caught between hysterical laughter and breaking into sobs, and already halfway toward kissing Will in his stupid perfect face. “You know,” he manages, through the lump in his throat, “If I were anyone else you’d sound so condescending right now.”
Will’s expression does not change. “Good thing you’re you, then,” he says quietly, and there’s barely any space between them now. If Mike tilted his face up just a little-
-their noses would brush, and he would see Will’s eyes flutter shut, maybe, and then-
“Mike,” Will says, sounding mildly embarrassed, and his voice cuts through Mike’s hazy, lovesick thoughts, “If you want to kiss me, can you please just do it already?”
Mike’s eyes fly open - they’d been half-shut, he now realizes - and he releases a garbled sort of sound of confusion. “What-”
“Mike,” Will says again, and there’s an urgency to it that makes something swoop in Mike’s stomach.
And- well, he can’t really argue when Will says his name like that, can he?
“Okay,” he whispers, and catches Will in a kiss.
Will tastes like frosting and cheap wine, and he’s warm, soft and pliant under Mike’s hands as he reaches up to cup his face in his hands. It feels- cozy, almost, melting into Will, letting him wrap his arms around Mike’s waist and pull him in closer. It feels like sitcom marathons and warm laughter and the gentle weight of Will hovering over him this morning. It feels comfortable, and safe, and like everything Mike never thought he’d be lucky enough to have, so he can’t be blamed for it, really, when he presses in closer, pulling Will against him and tangling a hand in his hair.
“Mike,” Will sighs against his mouth, and it sounds entirely different this time, different from any way he’s ever said his name before. Like it slipped out of his mouth unbidden, a thought voiced into existence entirely by accident. It sends a shiver down Mike’s spine, and he places a hand over Will’s waist, tucked under the fabric of his sweatshirt - Mike’s sweatshirt - and pulls him in, leaning back against the counter and relishing the gentle caress of Will’s hands against his sides, trailing over his ribcage.
He pulls back, if only to see the pink glow slowly overtaking Will’s face, the flutter of his eyelids as he blinks at Mike, mouth twisting into a pout at being interrupted. It’s a beautiful sight, leaving Will so flustered and sweet under his palms, and Mike drinks it in, a giddy smile stretching across his features.
Will whines faintly, tugging at the collar of his shirt until Mike’s lips meet his own again, a gentle press that still manages to send a shudder through Mike’s body. The counter is digging into his back, and it’s uncomfortable if he really thinks about it, but it’s sort of hard to think about anything but Will as he holds him close, runs his hands over Will’s arms, threads his fingers through his hair, traces his tongue over Will’s lower lip.
When they finally part, it’s only by a few centimeters, Will pressing his forehead gently against Mike’s.
“Stay?” Mike asks quietly, even though Will’s made no move to go anywhere else, and it’s not like he’d go far anyway, but he doesn’t know how else to communicate the deep-set feeling in his gut telling him to keep Will close. Like if Will moves away, even if it’s just to stumble off to his room to go to sleep, it will be too much distance.
Will’s mouth ticks upward, and he darts forward to press a quick kiss to the corner of Mike’s lips. “‘Course,” he murmurs, like it’s not a totally nonsensical request, and Mike wonders how it is that Will always knows everything there is to know about him. But then he adds, “Idiot,” and Mike remembers that Will is also just super annoying, all the time, so it all evens out in the end.
“You love me,” he murmurs, and it feels like more of a confession than a confirmation. He’s never said it like that before, even though he knows it’s true. He’s never felt confident or brave enough, but he feels like now, in this quiet little world that exists in the space between his and Will’s lips, he doesn’t need confidence or bravery to know things that are true.
Will smiles. “Yeah,” he confirms, and his hand reaches up to tuck a strand of hair behind his ear. “Yeah, ‘course I do. Happy birthday, Mike.”
Happy birthday indeed, Mike thinks, and catches Will in another kiss.
