3 things you need to let go of in order manifest your dream life

1. Fear of Rejection
Do you realize that your fear of rejection is holding you back from doing so many things? Also why do you fear rejection ever thought about that? Yes we all fear something and rejection is a really scary word. Nobody likes rejection but the truth is the fear of rejection is what is holding us back and those who have let it go of this fear have achieved great things. Everybody is afraid of rejection so to say but what kind of rejection? Societal rejection that the society won't accept you for who you are, romantic rejection that your crush won't like you back or rejection from your own self? Why do you reject yourself? Why do you reject your thoughts? Why do you think that you are not capable of what you desire? This may not be a big thing but in order to evolve and grow you need to go through these questions and ask yourself why you fear rejection.
3 things to do to let go of this fear
Understanding Impermanence: Recognize that rejection is a part of life, and it doesn't define your worth. People's opinions and circumstances change, and rejection doesn't necessarily reflect a permanent state.
Focusing on Growth: Embrace rejection as an opportunity for personal growth. Learn from the experience, adapt, and use it as a stepping stone towards self-improvement.
Building Resilience: Develop resilience by realizing that not every rejection is a personal attack. Building a strong sense of self allows you to withstand setbacks and move forward with confidence.
2. Expectations
Sometimes you expect too much from people and from yourself too and when you cannot fulfill those expectations you feel upset. You have a great heart and there is no doubt about how pure and innocent your energy is. You do your best in everything you do, if you love someone you love them from all your heart and you will do everything for them. You expect others to do the same for you, expecting is not a bad thing but being upset over others not fulfilling YOUR expectations is not good. You need to let go of those expectations. And you don't have to live up to others expectations also. As a human we always expect others to do something for us or we just expect something in return. It's in our nature. You don't have to fulfill others' expectations and others don't have to fulfill yours. So you just need to let go of “expectations”.
Mindful Awareness: Be conscious of your expectations and question whether they are realistic. Sometimes, expectations can set you up for disappointment if they are too rigid or dependent on external factors.
Embracing Flexibility: Cultivate flexibility and openness to different outcomes. This doesn't mean lowering standards, but rather being adaptable to the twists and turns that life may bring.
Communicating Expectations: Clearly communicate your expectations to others when appropriate. This reduces the chances of misunderstandings and aligns everyone involved.
3. Self-Doubt
We've all been there, right? Dealing with self-doubt is like a universal thing and is a common human experience. But, let's be real for a moment, when did we let that self-doubt become the boss of our lives? Like, where did it even come from? Because, let's face it, it's not like self-doubt runs in the family or is scribbled into our DNA. Nah, it's more about what others toss at us. I used to doubt myself and still do actually(sometimes). But hey, I'm putting in the work. The more I do, the clearer it gets why the wise ones always say, "Who cares what anyone else thinks?" It's like, do you, be you, and forget the noise from the peanut gallery.
Positive Self-Talk: Challenge negative thoughts with positive affirmations. Focus on your strengths and past successes to counteract self-doubt.
Setting Realistic Goals: Break down larger goals into smaller, achievable steps. This allows you to build confidence gradually and see tangible progress.
Seeking Support: Share your concerns with trusted friends or a mentor. External perspectives can provide valuable insights and encouragement, helping you overcome self-doubt.

[long pause, laughs] Interviewer: "What do you think he would bring to Ferrari?" Lewis: "Well, I mean, Adrian's known for… He's got such a great history, track record, and he's obviously just done an amazing job through his career in engaging with teams and the knowledge that he has. I think he would be an amazing addition. I think they've already got a great team. They're already making huge progress and strides forwards. Their car's quicker this year. But yeah, it would be a privilege to work with him." Interviewer: "And on a personal level, how excited would you be to work with a man of his experience?" Lewis: "Very." [laughs] Interviewer: "Alright. Look, what about this weekend, Lewis? In China last time out it was a weekend of extremes for you. Do you think you're gonna find a little bit more consistency with the car this weekend?" Lewis: "Yes. The team have been working hard. A New Milestone for Dragon Age: Dreadwolf
Moving closer and closer to completion. Hello,
In my last blog, back in February, I talked about the next Dragon Age™game entering the production phase. Well, we’ve come a very long way since then, and the team is incredibly happy to announce a huge step forward in the development of the game you now know as Dragon Age: Dreadwolf™: We have just completed our Alpha milestone!
Up to this point, we’ve been working hard on the various parts of the game, but it’s not until the Alpha milestone that a game all comes together. Now, for the first time, we can experience the entire game, from the opening scenes of the first mission to the very end. We can see, hear, feel, and play everything as a cohesive experience.
NOW WHAT?
Of course, the game is not finished by any means, but Alpha is one of the most important game development milestones for a number of reasons. First and foremost, we can now turn our sights toward bringing the visual fidelity to its final form and iterating on gameplay features. The big question now is, “Where do we focus our efforts?” To answer that, we solicit feedback from a number of sources, including our Community Council members who each have unique perspectives and experiences, our quality verification team, and extensive internal playtesting. Gathering feedback from multiple sources gives us the greatest insight on where we need to spend more time improving the experience.
Additionally, we can now evaluate the game's pacing, how relationships evolve over time, and the player’s progression, as well as narrative cohesion—essentially how the story comes together. We can take the story we’ve written and see if we’re expressing it well through the characters, dialogue, cinematics, and ultimately, the player’s journey. Now that we have the ability to do a complete playthrough, we can iterate and polish on the things that matter most to our fans.
Hitting Alpha was the culmination of so much effort from the entire team and we used this milestone as an opportunity to come together and celebrate. We held a hybrid-style event with people onsite while others joined remotely and the team showcased their work to everyone at BioWare. We even took some time to do something fun and non-work related—a virtual escape room where we had to work together to help someone on camera find their way out. It was a really great time, and no matter where our devs are, it's important to share these types of moments together.
START TO FINISH
Now that we’re finally able to experience the entire game, for me, my favorite part is the characters. Whether followers, allies, or villains, they’re woven into the game in ways that take a concept that’s always been a part of the Dragon Age DNA—stories about people—and push it further than ever before. The characters help contextualize the world and the stakes, and I can’t wait until we’re able to start really discussing them in depth.
It’s also exciting to finally be able to bring our fans to parts of the world that we’ve previously hinted at, but never been able to fully explore—like the city of Minrathous, the capital of the Tevinter Empire. We’ve talked about Minrathous in previous games, and now you’ll finally be able to visit! It’s a city built on and fuelled by magic, and the ways in which that has come through in its visual identity, and what that looks like in comparison to previous cities we’ve visited in Dragon Age, are pretty spectacular.
As I mentioned earlier, the Alpha milestone is an extremely important one for us, but there’s more work to be done. We also want to continue being transparent with you, our community, and keep you up to date on what we’re crafting. Hopefully you’ve been enjoying our development updates on Dreadwolf this year as we’ll be looking to share more in the future.

Hi! I'm normally not a smut reader - not because I consider it weird, it's just that I like plot and character development, and see how relationships evolve through ups and downs and smut usually doesn't cover these things. However! The Arrangement is sooooo good. I love the slow-ish progression between the two mc. The scenes are well-written and emotional too! And the plot is so cool! Looking forward to more!
Unrelated, but how do you think Astarion would feel with a Tav who won't have sex with him 'cus she needs to know him more and have an emotional attachment before doing the deed. With Karlach he gets all pissy, so I think he'd get very annoyed his plan isn't working, but then when they eventually do it and he realises Tav actually knows him and all his issues and still decides to go for it with him he'd just melt.
I once got an ask complaining that they were moving too fast, and I actually took a seat to acess this. Then realised that them being touchy with each other stems from the fact that they are familiar with each other. Their relationship was established off-screen (I do complement it with flashbacks to provide more context and to flesh them out, either as individuals or together).
This journey of intimacy doesn't start with them getting to know each other over a period of time. They already do. They momentarily drifted apart because, sometimes, it takes more than friendship and will of power to fix centuries of trauma and the repercussions that ensue.
It's pretty much established in canon (though I am merely mentioning it cause I am a canon gremlin lol but to each their own!) that unromanced Spawn Astarion does wonder what things might have been between you two (if you break up). He's also the only origin character who does this.
Essentially, he never really forgets you (which makes total sense given how important you were to his journey), so it was easy to use that to flesh them out in TA.
As much as I love sexual intimacy, I'm a sucker for the unspoken words of devotion that are said through acts of love. Hand-holding.... loyalty... protectiveness... respecting boundaries... of course, miscommunication is bound to happen when some wounds are still healing, but they are slowly working through that 🫂

Is there a point in your writing process where you start deliberately working on the themes and motifs in your books? It seems like something really good authors must do on purpose, but I don't see it talked about much in books on writing. But I can't imagine that this all just springs naturally into the story...
So, is it something you do at a certain point? And do you have any tips on how to do it well?
I wouldn't say that I ever sit down and say "What motifs am I going to employ in this work?". That's a set of options that normally starts to evolve, or reveal itself, while I'm outlining.
What I will do—usually before even the outlining starts—is ask myself, "What's this story about?": "about" meaning the thematic sense, not just the physical-action, who-goes-where-and-does-what-to-whom sense. Without that sense of the underlying meaning of the book, I'd find it hard to start writing at all. That meaning—let's say, for example, the fear of achieving a quest (and repeated failure to do so) due to being afraid of not knowing how to handle the potential aftermath—will repeatedly push its way up through the topsoil represented by the plot and the characters' reactions to it. Or else that topsoil will be worn away here and there to reveal it, so that the characters are forced to get to grips with it... or to refuse to.
...To use a more organic metaphor: a book's theme is its skeleton. Everything about the book—events, characterization, less basic themes—must be arranged on and secured to that skeleton. Otherwise you've just got a puddle of sloppy squishy tissue flopping around. And everything about the story should move when the skeleton moves... or breaks.
So it behooves the writer working in this mode to spend at least a little time answering the What's This Story About? question. Ideally there'll be more than one answer to the question. Sometimes the multiple answers will appear to be contradictory of one another. This is fine...since contradiction is one form of conflict, and conflict generates drama. One or two of the underlying themes may well be ones you've used before. This is okay too, as in each new work, even reused themes will rarely combine in anything like the same way. (Though you need to keep an eye on the various elements in situations like this, to make sure they're breaking new ground and not merely running in easy familiar circles.)
Anyway, once the answers have been identified to my satisfaction, I make a note of them and put them aside where I can get at them while the work's in progress, and refer to them if necessary. Normally I don't need to. Having spent the time to work out what they are, it seems the answers function as a kind of foundation for the work as it goes forward, so that hints and reminders of them surface naturally during the process.
My apologies if all this sounds a bit vague, as over time it's become so habitual a part of my writing process that I don't really spend a lot of time thinking about it. :) Anyway, hope this has been of help.

HE IS SO GOOD. he's wonderful – no one gives him enough credit for just how much he's learned and evolved over the years – he's come so, so far. and i have a wonderful little post i'm sitting on that's kind of actually all about how far he's come. but we see it everywhere – he's constantly evolving, and taking ownership of his mistakes and learning from them.

and in the comics - there is. wade is a character that's never allowed to evolve in the comics. he's whatever the writer or audience is interested in, for that week. he's been the villain, been the anti-hero, been the hero, reset. back to villain. back to anti-hero. has a marriage. has a divorce. has a daughter. has his memories of his daughter erased from his memory. he is never allowed to actually progress, or have any sort of stability as a character. deadpool, as a character, has never had a status quo.
peter parker - in his heyday - (we don't talk about the last decade of comics) - growth and evolution was the crux of his comics. he starts off a bitter teen - grows into a cynical college student - into a persevering adult, in a long-term romance and eventual marriage that span decades of comics. he becomes a teacher - he just - he grows. the comics let him evolve to the point you'd hardly recognise him if you sat teenage peter parker and adult peter parker next to each other. it's a long game and you're with him every step - and i just - i think wade's awareness of that reality (what with his relationship with the fourth wall) means that he'll always have this nagging fear that peter's inevitably going to evolve past him, and wade's going to be on reset, again.

I've been reflecting a bit more than usual on this, as I've seen many people living intense work cycles.
However, as we are in a period of humanity extremely linked to material life and the idea of production as synonymous with utility, seeing the problems behind an intense journey of efforts is somewhat difficult for some. Which I find very understandable.
But, is solely focusing on work or productivity really the best way for us to evolve and move forward?
First, what evolving, moving forward mean to you? What do you want for yourself?
We often propagate the notion that being useful is working - especially working hard!
We're praised and internally congratulate ourselves when we work too much. But the idea that comes to me, the perception I have when we find ourselves in these repetitive work patterns is - are we really moving, as we think we are?
Are we not just deceiving ourselves with the idea of evolution and growth, when in reality, we are just in a cycle of repeating the same routine and the same ins and outs of things? Every month the same routine, practically the same bills, the same habits. Is that moving forward?
The fact that we are constantly going back and forth, taking care of an "apparent future" often brings
the false sense of evolution.
But this kind of movement doesn't always mean progress.
Sometimes we're just mechanizing ourselves and becoming passive towards our own lives because there's something defining our current steps, which are the same, repetitive steps, increasingly intense steps that, by the way, distance us from something unique and original - ourselves, and what we need to have, feel, live.
Balancing external and internal life is not an easy task.
However, as a seeker of balance that I am (Venusian, you know), I recognize the difficulty behind this, but I won't stop telling you that it's important to be aware that there's a false sense of lack of control over your own life, because you feel "that there are steps you'll always need to follow". It depends. Everything depends... and everything can also change.
If
it's too difficult right now to look inward, that's okay, but at least keep the internal flame burning - this is extremely important, so that, at the most appropriate moment, things finally change.
Because just throwing yourself into the repetitive and highly imposed flow won't contribute, but rather stagnate.
Therefore, not all movement is evolution. In some cases, it may indeed signify some kind of stagnation, because it's a repetitive movement without your consciousness participating.
"Paty, how do I know if I'm in a repetitive cycle OR if I'm taking care of myself, despite certain repetitive actions that are part of our lives?" > I'll respond with a phrase I received intuitively today:

As much as I loved DBS: Super Hero, it did also serve as a reminder for why modern Dragon Ball gives Gohan so little to do.
What it boils down to is that Dragon Ball writers seem to have difficulty finding new ways for Gohan to develop or evolve as a fighter. This is because Gohan himself isn't interested in developing or evolving as a fighter.
By contrast to the proactive Goku, Gohan is a reactive character. He doesn't want to be a big martial arts super-warrior. He has no ambition to become Next-Gen Son Goku. That doesn't mean he won't Do The Things. He's been Doing The Things since he was four. But he needs to have a reason. Something he's doing it for.
"To be stronger/better, to push myself, to become more than I am now," is Goku's driving motive. Goku is a martial artist driven to surpass his own limits, and this drives him to keep finding new mountains to climb.
Gohan's driving motive is, "To protect my family from that asshole." He needs a reason. Self-improvement for its own sake (or, as some have offered, "to be strong enough to deal with the next guy") isn't his passion. Plus, he's already one of the strongest people in the entire universe. How much stronger should he reasonably need to be?
There are all kinds of stories you can tell with a reactive character like Gohan. He's basically a superhero archetype. Spider-Man doesn't constantly train to make himself a better fighter with every waking moment. He doesn't need to; His genre isn't one of progressive escalation.
The problem is, Dragon Ball is dedicated to progressive escalation, arguably to its detriment as Modern Dragon Ball is well past the point where escalation no longer holds any weight. The powers of the characters are so abstract by this point that they have to be defined solely in relation to each other. "Bob is STRONGER than Alex." "Yeah, well now we're fighting John, who's way stronger than Bob and Alex combined." "Yeah well Mark is 100x stronger than John!" "Frank could flex Mark into oblivion with his pinky finger."
This isn't a problem for Gohan, so much as it is a problem for the mindset people have when writing for Dragon Ball. Whether it's Toei or Toyotaro or even Toriyama himself, nobody ever knows what to do with Gohan.
Even when Gohan's in the driver's seat, he's being written by writers who don't know how to write the kinds of stories that Gohan, as a protagonist, is suited for. So they always wind up going back and rehashing things from the well of past Gohan things.
Goku gets to move forward and do new things, but Gohan is trapped in an endless cycle of doing the same three things and nothing else.
1 - Piccolo's sacrifice. Piccolo throwing himself in front of an attack for Gohan or maybe Gohan throws himself in front of an attack for Piccolo if we're being spicy today. REMEMBER THAT TIME. DO YOU REMEMBER? 2 - Gohan gets a rage boost or turns Super Saiyan 2, and then things get real. Everyone loved his Super Saiyan 2 transformation. They loved it so much they're still finding excuses to have him turn Super Saiyan 2 for the very first time again. 3 - Gohan has the power within him to win but he can't unleash it so Goku appears out of nowhere to save him and give him a pep talk, and then he gains confidence in himself and becomes strong enough to win.
To my knowledge, I don't think #3 has appeared in DBS as of yet but it was all over post-Cell Games. After everyone went nuts for Father-Son Kamehameha, we had "Goku gives Gohan a pep talk so he can win" as the resolution for both Broly: Second Coming and Bojack. Then in the actual manga, Goku made the save on Gohan during the Super Buu fight and then got sick of having to do this and fired him from protag slot entirely, which is worse.
Most of Super Hero was a lot of fun. But that final fight turning into "Let's literally bring Cell back so that we can do 'Gohan turns Super Saiyan 2 and defeat Cell' again but it's actually Cell again for maximum uncreativity"? I see you, writers. I see your total lack of ideas for this character.

Progress I've made in the last few weeks!
Hi! I took a short vacation break last week, which was nice. Despite taking some time for myself, I managed to make some significant progress in the game! Here are the details I'd like to share:
I've worked on adding depth and story for the characters.
The scenarios have progressed and will be a mix of photography and drawing.
I've made narrative and spelling corrections to the script. It's not complete yet, but needed some revisions as things have evolved since I started creating it.
Additional details about the demo:
I've spent time contemplating how long the demo will be. My intention is to show the attitude of the protagonist and the personalities of the characters, offering a "friendly" introduction! As for its length, I'm not entirely sure yet, but I'm striving to make it substantial.
Finally, I want to express my sincere thanks for your unwavering support and affection. They motivate me to move forward with the project. Although working alone can be challenging, I am committed to delivering a piece of work that I personally like and have learned a lot from.

GIF COLORING TUTORIAL by kai @heroeddiemunson
hey y’all! many months ago, i made a giffing & coloring tutorial for photopea. while i still use photopea to gif, the way i make gifs has evolved greatly and i think it was time for myself to make a new tutorial to show y’all the new process! once again, it is very long, but i tried to go as in depth as possible and explain what i did in each step of this tutorial :)
what you need:
photopea (basically photoshop in your browser, completely free!)
basic giffing knowledge, because i won’t be covering it in depth in this tutorial
for me, when i make gifs, i use @ashleysolsen sai’s tutorial, which you can find here, for getting clips to gif, how to gif them, and how to crop/resize the gif. if you remember from my last tutorial, i used to use @benoitblanc arwen’s tutorial (here!), so feel free to use that one for your giffing if you’d like!
i also want to add that i recommend saving your progress throughout your giffing process, just in case something happens (your internet goes out, photopea crashes, etc), that way you don’t lose all your progress. to do this, go to file > save as psd, and choose to save your psd somewhere you can find it again. :)
but for now, lets move onto the fun stuff!
STEP 1: BRIGHTENING THE GIF & ADDING CONTRAST
so, after loading my gif into photopea, cropping it (this particular gif is cropped with a 9x8 ratio, which resizes to 540x480), and resizing it, this is what my photopea dashboard looks like. this will be our base!

from here, i go to layer > adjustment layer > brightening/contrast. from here, i change the blending mode to screen, which instantly brightens your gif. here’s the settings below, where i have highlighted in blue what you need to change:

now our gif looks like this:

from here, i want to add more contrast to my gif to add dimension to places of the gif (such as eddie’s face and the creases of his vest). to do this, i go to layer > adjustment layer > levels and make the following adjustments:

when i do this step, i always change that right number to 230 to help retain some of the brightening from the step before. the middle number varies from gif to gif, but since i wanted to deepen the contrast, i made it a lower number (under 1.0, the default); this layer is up to you and what you think looks good for your gif!
as of now, our gif looks like this.

now that our gif has been successfully brightened and we’ve added some nice contrast, we can move onto step 2, which is our base coloring!
STEP 2: BASE COLORING: CHANNEL MIXER & SELECTIVE COLOR
now, to me, this gif is very blue, and i know that in a step or so from now, eddie’s face will get washed out since it’s so pale at the moment. to fix these issues, i use the method outlined in this tutorial by @nobodynocrime​ with channel mixer.
going under layer > adjustment layer > channel mixer, i personally make the following changes to this particular gif in order to offset the blue of this gif as it is. this step will always change depending on your gif and what it looks like after step 1, so feel free to play around with the different parts of channel mixer and find what works best for you!

with these adjustments, our gif now looks like this:

and now the coloring of this gif is more even, and makes it wayyyy easier to color going forward!
now go to layer > adjusting layer > selective color, and make the following adjustments.

while these adjustments will sometimes vary depending on the gif you’re working on, i generally try to keep the white and black adjustments the same. the neutrals change the most often; since the last thing we did was work to remove the blue, i removed a bit of the cyan that remained after those adjustments, and also removed some neutrals to brighten the gif up a bit more.
after these steps, this is what our gif looks like now:

great work so far! now we can do some more base coloring that isn’t quite as boring :)
STEP 3: BASE COLORING: HUE/SATURATION & PHOTO FILTERS
so now that the very bare bones of this gif are figured out, this is where the tutorial gets a little less wordy and a little more show-y. these steps are consistent throughout my process, but vary wildly depending on what type of gifs im trying to make, so feel free to experiment from here on out!
now that we’re here, go to layer > adjustment layer > hue/saturation. here, i usually make sure that the master tab (which changes the saturation of all the colors of your gif) has +30 saturation and -2 lightness.

from here, go wild! while you can use the hue slider to make different colors in your gif to something else (like making the blues into purples, for example), i wouldn’t recommend doing that. i have a better way to do that, in my opinion, looks nicer and also doesn’t make your gif lose quality. for now, just keep your adjustments to the saturation and lightness sliders!
after messing around with my sliders, my gif now looks like this:

nice! we’re getting somewhere, and the gif’s colors don’t feel so flat anymore.
now, while i did want to warm up this gif from how we started out, i do think this gif has become a little too yellow in eddie’s face and parts of the background. this is why i use photo filters, which can help cool off or warm up parts of your gif pretty easily without affecting other bits too dramatically.
to do this, go to layer > adjustment layer > photo filter. if you would like to warm up your gif, keep the orange (#ec8a00) that the photo filter generates for you and simply turn the density to 10%. or, if you’re like me and you want to cool off your gif, insert blue (#0200fe) to the color of the photo filter and change the density to 10%. now, my gif looks like this:

and thats it for all of the base coloring, so we can move on to our more fun coloring!
STEP 4: COLORING WITH SELECTIVE COLOR
like the last step, feel free to experiment, since this varies wildly from gif to gif and what you’re trying to do. now, in my case, i want to make the blues in this gif purple, so let me show you how to do that using selective color.
remember how i said to not mess with the hues in hue/saturation? this is the step i mentioned where we play around with changing colors! go to layer > adjustment layer > selective color — instead of messing around with the whites, neutrals, and blacks, though, head to whatever color you’re trying to change. in my case, like i said, i want to change the blues, so i’m going to be in the cyans and blues tabs.
below are the ways that i make the blues into purples, but feel free to play around with these adjustments and the different tabs for different colors. maybe you want to turn the blues green, or the yellows red, or something else! go as wild as you’d like with your coloring; like i said, this is the fun coloring!

now that i have made those blues purple like i wanted, and i’ve adjusted some of my other layers to make the yellows/reds of eddie’s face stick out more, my gif looks like this:

the fun thing about the selective color portion of this tutorial is that you can add however many layers of selective color that you’d like! if your purples aren’t purple enough, or the greens aren’t green enough, or you just can’t get the coloring quite right on your gif with one selective color layer, feel free to add more to get your coloring how you want it!
for me, this purple isn’t the type of purple i was looking for, so i’ve added another layer to make it more of the purple i want it to be, and ended up with my gif looking like this:

so, at this point, if you’ve been messing with the blues like me, and you have a person’s face like i do, you may have noticed that the whites of their eyes have ever so slightly changed to the color you’ve changed the blue to.
if your gif has the person being relatively still or standing in the same place witihn your gif’s cropping, follow me into the next step to get rid of that weird color. if this isn’t a problem for you, or someone’s moving too much in your gif, then feel free to skip the next step and move to the one after!
STEP 4.5: FIXING THE WHITES OF PEOPLE’S EYES
so, when i find this problem happening with my gifs, i know that it’s more difficult to fix this problem on top of the selective color layers i’ve done. instead, click on the photo filter layer from step 3 to make sure your next steps happen between the photo filter layer and all your selective color layers.
from here, go to your toolbar on the left and click the lasso select tool. with the lasso select tool, circle the subject’s eyes and/or any other part of your gif that needs to be white. below is a visual tutorial of what i’ve done:

now that what needs to be white has been selected, go to layer > adjustment layer > hue/saturation. with this new layer, you should notice that everything except the section(s) you’ve lasso selected is black on the vector mask (white block beside all of your layers). mine looks like this:

this means that any changes we make to this specific layer will only affect the places that are in white, which is exactly what we want! from here, i go under the blue tab (because our problem happened when i changed the blues to purple, so now im going back and fixing the blues so that the problem isnt a problem anymore) and make the following changes. please note that these may change depending on what your gif looks like and what colors you need to change!

and with this adjustment, eddie’s eyes are now more white! it’s a very subtle change, but i feel as though you can see it when i put the gifs side by side as they are now:

while it was a subtle change in this gif, i have giffed scenes where this difference was more prevalent and really bothered me. if you have a case like that, now you know how to fix it! :)
STEP 5: CURVES LAYER
and we’re here at the home stretch! on top of all your selective color layers, go to layer > adjustment layer > curves. i always click the ‘auto’ button to give me a baseline of where to start, and then adjust my layers until i have my gif looking how i want it to. below are what i did to this particular gif’s curves layer:

and woo, you’re done with coloring your gif!............... maybe.
see, if you’re like me, maybe you want to make everything in the background of this gif one specific color. if so, follow me into the next step; if not, feel free to skip ahead!
STEP 5.5: MORE COLORFUL BACKGROUND
so this step only works if your gif has minimal movement of your subject, much like this gif of eddie. as you can see, parts of the background of this gif aren’t purple, and i would like them to be. instead of playing around with more selective color layers and the lasso select tool, i’ve found the easier way to do this is to use fill layers and vector masks. (btw, in this section of the tutorial, i’ve put all of the above adjustment layers into a folder. if you’d like to do the same, click the first adjustment layer (brightening/contrast), and then scroll up and press shift while clicking the top adjustment layer (curves). with these layers selected, click the little folder button at the bottom of your layers panel).
to do this, go to layer > fill layer > color fill. outside of the color picker pop up that shows up, your mouse cursor would be a crosshair, meaning that if you click on any section within your gif, you can pick up whatever colors are there and use it for the fill layer! in my case, i’m going to be picking up the purple from eddie’s shirt. now my gif looks like this:

......which isn’t exactly what we want. what we wanna do is use a brush and cut out the parts of this gif that we don’t want this color (such as eddie’s face, in my case). how do we fix this?
first, on your left toolbar, click the brush tool. towards the top, you should have a circle with a number underneath it and an arrow pointing down; clicking this box should reveal a bunch of options, including a size and hardness slider. change these sliders to be 0% hardness and however large (or small) of a brush size you may need for your particular gif. finally, on your right with the fill layer that is now there, click the vector mask/white box linked to the fill layer. also make sure that the colors in the bottom left have black as the foreground/up front, and if you need to, change the opacity of the fill layer so you can see under it!
i know that was a lot of information, so feel free to look at this visual guide to help explain things better:

like with the lasso layer from step 4.5, using black on vector masks makes parts of the gif be unaffected by the layer the vector mask if linked to; thus, when you use black on this vector mask (which is white), you’re basically erasing from the vector mask so your gif underneath it may show through. feel free to use different brush sizes, or to use the color white if you erased something you didn’t mean to, to perfect your fill layer so you can get it how you want it to look.
this is how mine looks with nothing but the layer opacity changed so i could see what i was/wasn’t erasing:

which, while pretty, isn’t exactly what i’m looking for. instead, change the blending mode of your color fill layer to color, like so:

which now makes my gif look like this:

if, when you change the blending mode to color, you notice that maybe you missed something you meant/didn’t mean to color, feel free to go back into the vector mask and fix it.
again, while this is pretty, i’m extra when it comes to colorful gifs, so i’m not quite done. i duplicate my fill layer twice, and then make a couple changes. i keep the middle layer with its blending mode set to color and opacity at 100%. however, i change the bottom fill layer’s blending to multiply, and change the opacity to 30%. then, with the top fill layer, i change its blending to soft light, and change the opacity to 15%. my layers look like this:

while it may not be necessary, i like the way it looks better than just with the one color fill layer, so that’s why i do it. :)
from here you can do things like add text, which i won’t go into detail with in this tutorial because it really is just playing around with the different buttons and fonts you may have loaded into photopea.
STEP 6: SHARPENING & EXPORTING YOUR GIF
and oh my god, finally, we are at the last steps before we can export this gif!
when i gif, i like to leave my sharpening until the end because, just in case my gif is too large when it’s being exported, i don’t have to lose a bunch of my work trying to make the gif a smaller file size if i need to adjust my sharpening.
so, to sharpen your gif, click your top frame of the gif, scroll down, and shift click the last frame of the gif. now that all of these frames are selected, any sharpening you changes will be applied to all of them!
this style of sharpening is new to me, and follows closely with @do-revenge​ este’s own tutorial, which you can find here. with all your frames selected, go to filter > sharpen > smart sharpen. i personally keep the default numbers that photopea has on the popup that shows up, but you can feel free to change these numbers however you like. once you’re happy with whatever numbers you have, click “OK”.

now that your smart sharpening has been done, with all your frames still selected, go to filter > sharpen > unsharp mask. when the popup loads, it may look something like this:

if you like what this looks like with the unsharp mask, feel free to keep these numbers! i personally like to change these numbers so they aren’t quite as intense; i find that i like what my gifs look like with the amount changed to 135% and the radius changed to 3.5px, which makes my gif look like this:

once you’re happy with your unsharp mask, click “OK”, and boom! you’ve made a gif, congrats! now it’s time to export. to do so, go to file > export as > .GIF. you should get a pop up that lets you preview what your gif looks like, colored and sharpened in all its glory. make sure that when exporting, the number at the bottom stays under 10mb, because that’s tumblr’s size limit for gifs!

Alright. Let's crack into this.
I went with an axis deer because spotted four-legged animal that can ruin your day easily (Rabbits will ruin gardens, furniture, and cords, while deer will destroy your gardens and cars (though not as bad as bigger creatures like moose)) The weapon is a kama rope which was suggested to me by @generalluxun (I really appreciate that, thank you!)
Concept and powers. The concept progression comes from Fluff's evolution, the moving of Kaalki's migration, and the creation of Tikki. It seems fitting for a constant evolving, moving, and creating fusion to be that of progression. The power is a variation on time travel. Chital can create her own gateways that allow her to move forward in time and space without needing to go through the burrow. However, she cannot go back in time, only forward.

i wanted to make a prelim impressions post after doing one route of each territory but then put it down and suddenly its months later. whatever!!!! scattershot spoilers below!!!!!!
i hear people didnt like this one so much which is unbelievable to me. its got everything. alice trying to play out her life from the truth ed within wonderland. a harmless replica of her grief where she Could go and see lorina, she just chose herself instead.* trying to Earn her place by assimilating the only way she knows how, by becoming a faceless cog. only this time she has something of a support system, friends who wont let her slip through the cracks!!
alice giving up her status as a guest also allows her to see wland from the bottom-up, with all the pointless injustice the faceless... face?! its a real down-to-earth, coming-of-age story where you grow up and realize some guy whos kind of famous can just shoot you at the restaurant as if it was the most natural thing in the world.
i played boris first which works out perfectly by marking alice as a Double Outsider, a はみ出しもの who didnt even Belong to the home she chose enough to be taken along with it. (AND its possibly the two most comforting places that reject her. ouch?) were getting the guilt of moving on** twice removed: first with her original world, now the park. its inward, not forward momentum, with wland running laps around where the Thing to Process should be
forest also justifies her constantly hanging out in mental breakdown city (not that we needed one) and severs the relationship between Work and Host that was there in heart. boris just introduces her to the inn but if anything her working there is against his own interests, i.e. chilling
*but does it really matter, when forsaking and losing her are the same thing to alice? (hence why it evolves to Killing by joker? <- doesnt actually know anything about joker) from the flashbacks, she was mourning her before she ever left
**as if its mourning them that gives things their meaning. (but shes not ready to be arbiter of that, seeing how much she rejects her role)
ANYWAY, A PROGRESS REPORT:
boris: not my preferred boy but theres a lot of alice projecting her own moments of hurt onto him. So naturally i liked it :)
gray: The Two Most Terminally Headbound People You Know Are In Love, And It's Beautiful. grays a fun addition to the cast and his route had me biting tables
ace: I would love to understand this man someday.
blood: dating through a giant glass wall again!!! my favorite!!!!!
twins: puts a shocking amount of Themes on the table. also quite a funny performance from fukuyama. レッドレッドオクトパス君 you will always be famous
pierce: ⬅️ I am here!
i look forward to doing some investigative journalism into this SUSPICIOUSLY BLUE BIRD
