ed holiday survival guide

what to bring:

all of this should fit, with extra space, in a large purse. a backpack also works if you need more space.

3 cans of diet soda, 2 of your usual and 1 special one you dont normally buy. if youre sleeping over, take 3-4 of your usual. save the special one for dinner to help you avoid eating.

2 bottles of your favorite water, 3 if youre sleeping over.

of course, a low cal snack like a granola bar in case you feel like youre going to faint. you dont wanna pass out in front of all those people and family members you barely know! bring 2-3 if youre sleeping over or get faint easily.

a few cans of of your favorite energy drink, however many you need to seem alive and well. im taking 4. if you dont like energy drinks, you better hope they have a Keurig or you can get to a starbucks.

napkins or paper towels and a plastic bag. if you can get away with having your purse at the table, line a pocket with a plastic bag. then use your napkin to dispose of your unwanted food into the bag. this can also work with a hoodie pocket, but its riskier. at the end of the dinner, zip up the bag and now it wont get you all gross while you wait for a chance to throw it away.

obvy your phone to sneak under the table and post updates on tumblr.

dont bring any money or cards, unless you need your ID or to buy starbucks or something. in that case, bring only your ID and the exact amount you need for your starbucks.

tips:

dont purge. theyll probably hear you. just avoid eating, and if you really need to, have a metab day beforehand so you do not eat/binge. you dont know what kind of calories are in all that food

choose the lowest cal option available, obvy. your best bet is salad or plain vegetables. if those arent an option, go for turkey, as long as it isnt sitting in a pool of liquid. if that isnt an option, just eat cranberry sauce. fr.

make sure you get a tiny portion of whatever youre eating. like, the total food on your plate should be no bigger than the size of your fist, just in case your lose control and start actually eating. you dont want to ask for more! ew.

make sure you do the classic of chewing constantly. take tiny bites and just do not stop chewing.

popping in a secret piece of gum can help with the last tip a lot esp if its mint. cuz then the food will taste weird if you do decide to eat.

unless its something like salad or cranberry sauce from a can, account for at least 2tbsp of butter when youre calculating your cals.

if you cant estimate the calories in a way you find satisfying, ask for the recipe. calculate the calories, and if you had guessed under initially, make sure you add that same amount of cals to everything else you have to calculate. its probably the sneaky butter messing you up anyway.

best outfit: shirt that shows off your body, an oversized hoodie, and slightly baggy pants. do not wear the hoodie at all till just before dinnertime, then put it on to cover up any bloating. that or just wear it the whole time and do not take it off at all.

wear tall shoes! i am very lucky to have platform boots, and i will be wearing them. they'll make you taller, obvy, so even if youre a bigger ana (like me), youll look lankier and more "proportional"

act like youre wiping your mouth, but really youre doin chew and spit into a napkin, ofc! BUT carbs begin digestion in your mouth, meaning you will consume calories if you chew and spit carbs. AVOID ALL CARBS!!

Yet another HSR lore discussion: Eidolons.

Thought it would be fun after overanalyzing E2 eyes, and thinking some more on E6’s

First off, E1’s.

yeah, there’s nothing special about 1st eidolons……They consistently feature the backs of heads.

Things start getting interesting from E2’s however. While at first glance it seems to just be an eye of the given character, the eye sides arent consistent.

as we see here, from a viewer’s perspective, herta’s eye is from her right side of her face, while bronya’s and serval’s are left. Applying this in relation to every in game eidolon so far give you this:

….there’s strangely no correlation between eyes here. no moral alignment, no region based pattern. It may make more sense with more characters or it may continue to appear random.

E3’s are once again, inconsistent.

Characters E3’s and E4’s are interchangeably one holding a personal object, and one making a different expression.

As you would guess, these are all E3’s, while these are their respective E4’s.

Tingyun’s 3 and 4 are reversed in order but she isn’t the only one which once again rules out any pattern. Every single 5th one shows a character’s mouth so i am once again skipping over this to the most interesting Eidolon.

The 6th eidolon for every character shows them unconscious, and lacking their clothing/equipment.

My first assumption with these two details was that the character is dead.

….except Imbibitor Lunae’s is clearly his hatching rebirth.

and the trailblazers have the stellarons on the outside of their bodies,

so it’s probably their “births” too. It’s still not birth based though because almost everyone else is clearly the same age as in game. For once I’m bringing in names too because a lot of of final eidolon names are sus.

Fu Xuan — Omnia Vita (translate to All Life)

Luocha — Reunion with the Dust

Guinaifen — Catching bullet with bare hands

Luka — A Champion’s Applause

Dan Heng — The Troubled Soul lies in Wait

Arlan — Self-Sacrifice

Serval — This Song Rocks to Heaven!

most of these reference a termination of some sort. At the end of all life is death, which is also a reunion with the dust. Catching a bullet with bare hands sounds like it could be fatal if any mistake is made. Self sacrifice does not need an explanation. Neither does “rocks to Heaven”.

Now weirdly, Luka’s is referencing the end of a fight, not death or finality. Dan Heng’s is straight up saying he is merely asleep as that’s what lying in wait is. And most Eidolons besides these ones do not reference death or conclusions.

We also have 4 images in E6’s that don’t line up with the other characters.

Hook and Bailu still have their full outfits but Hook is missing her goofy ugly oversized hat. Bailu is even stranger bc unlike Hook, nothing is missing. And unlike Imbibitor Lunae, the only other vidyadhara with eidolons, she doesnt appear in an egg. The one thing that sets this apart from her other eidolons is that she is shedding a tear. side note, hook is clearly doing that thing kids do when they’re trying to sleep.

Welt’s 6th’s Eidolon is strange comparing it to Herta’s. Welt Yang’s E6 depicts the child form he appears as when new people came into the sea of quanta post-him being trapped there. This made me think Eidolons had some relation to a true self, because otherwise there is no relevance or reasoning behind Welt’s not being his current appearance. Welt’s younger self(birth name Joachim) pictured with appearance 8 years younger than HSR welt.

Herta is very much not her true self as we know her puppets are proxies of the real Herta, which makes her doll being shown kinda strange. This one can be excused however bc maybe this Herta with eidolons is ONLY in game representing the doll, not the person.

ookayy there are a few more inconsistencies(why is NUMBY in topaz’s e6, when svarog isnt in clara’s?)

Here is a compilation of the words and meanings in the titles of sixth eidolons

Lynx is ascending bc from my understanding she goes from exploring the unknown, to mapping it so others know

fire trailblazer’s is city-forging bulwark(wall.) that word was just so stupid to scrolll past so wtf tier

the stupid tier being below the two “repeat” tiers is intentional. All of Yanqing’s start with S and contain two words……and all of Jing Yuan’s are three words and start with s. there is no reason for this.

gui’s tricks get more dangerous the further down in eidolon levels so while her 5th one could probably kill somebody if done incorrectly, i think there’s more room for error attempting to catch a bullet barehanded.

This is a discussion post bc as you can see there’s no conclusive pattern in eidolons that applies to EVERYONE

i saw some of your posts about being anti-cassie's dad protag for HW2, which valid, but the theory's become so popular most people seem to accept it. HW2 is kind of a mess to theorize about what the string of events was considering both endings could easily be canon, but I guess I'll get to the point. I'm sure most people have heard plenty of theories about what happens in the game if it's Cassie's Dad as the protagonist, so I'm curious. If you don't think it's him, who do you think is most likely? And (while this is difficult to figure out with any protag..) what do you think is supposed to be happening throughout the game, like, timeline-wise/plot-wise? Personally I feel like Cassie's Dad protag is possible, but I don't think it's set in stone or that he would be a reoccuring character. Imo Cassie's Dad protag works best if he stays a one-off character, building onto Cassie's backstory. I kinda wonder if the "what makes you so special?" lines aren't actually saying he's special, but asking what he thinks makes him special enough to go through all this and survive. Still I'm really curious to hear alternatives! I'm definitely not attatched to that theory lol. I just haven't really heard anything else tbh since the theory's so big in the fandom..

theres tons of evidence (a lot of it already used for cassie dad protag evidence) that apply to Cassie protag. for starters hw2 is obviously incredibly reminiscent of hw1 with its ending. vanny traps you somewhere and waves, the same way glitchtrap trapped you somewhere and waved in hw1s canon ending.

it's been widely accepted that vanny cassie is very possible and the direction the story is going in so playing as cassie in the lobby and going through princess quest and helping vanny and it being implied Vannys using the player as a vessel now the same way glitchtrap used vanessa to create vanny makes it very plausible we play as cassie

theres also the 'unused' line (but they all perfectly apply to the game as it is right now and add much needed context that make the game actually make sense) that's from presumably vanny, saying: "it kept you for a reason"

not only does the it pronoun 100% mean the mimic (and cassie is still down there in the same place where the mimic is literally free rn but alive) but it means that the mimic purposefully didnt kill cassie and also probably was the one to drop the evelator because it has a plan for her. aka the plan is getting vanny a new vessel so mimic can resume operations

the lobby itself also perfectly matches post ruin. you have the vanni mask on first of all, but second of all theres little items around the lobby that hint that you're cassie. like the robot parts strewn around that could imply cassie is trying to repair roxy (theres also the helpy screen)

as for "what makes you so special" I think people are misinterpreting the cassie ending as it being Cassies dad and not a staffbot. it literally shows you straight up that you get attacked by other staffbots and made into maskbot and give cassie the mask. if anything it shows us that Cassies arrival was planned and it's more evidence that we play as her becoming vanny. but its ALSO a perfect explanation for how confusing the minigames are in telling us who we play as

we literally play as a staffbot/mapbot. the minigames go from clean and fixed animatronics to gradually getting worse. even when the pizzaplex is clean and the animatronics are just a bit dirty, we've only seen that in sb. we play as a staffbot from pre sb, during sb, and post sb. "what makes you so special" what makes you so special compared to the other staffbots

it also explains why the animatronics are mean to you. staffbots are seen as useless hunks of junk and its shown all across the pizzaplex and in ruin as well when they're constantly shown discarded and destroyed.

freddy also says the line "you ARE a Fazbear technician, arent you? idk bc I can't see you". it means we literally arent a Fazbear technician. were a staffbot. and the same applies for carnies line about kids. its prerecorded and we're just a robot anyway

I have more posts about all this stuff individually but more in depth in my hw2 theory tag. this is what I genuinely think and I believe cassie is the protag for sure. it just feels so clear with how reminiscent hw2 is of hw1s ending tied with the clear plot of vanny cassie it's just like. why would we play as her dad when we watch ourselves get trapped by vanny the same way vanessa did right in front of our eyes.

we have the cassie ending because it shows us how maskbot got the mask and where it came from. it came from glitchtrap + by extension the mimic and vanny. vanny betrays glitchtrap at the end but also traps cassie in the process. the elevator dropped on cassie in ruin because the mimic did it on purpose to enact this plan. I think hw2 is more straightforward than ppl realize if you put everything together from what we have and dont try your hardest to put other characters in when the game is definitely about vanny cassie

like hw2 and ruin were made at the same time. they go hand in hand and reference eachother in the game, even before one of them was even out. the story is about cassie becoming vanny, the whole thing. this game is an intermission (the song scorched cranberries (the end credits song) is elevator music) showing us how the new villain/character thatll be big in the next plot was created. this is about cassie

maybe her dad will have the spotlight in hw2s dlc. idk. he has something going on but nothing in hw2 I dont think.

ive been hearing a lot of legitimate criticism of will wood and his fan base from people who like his music, but see him as a pretentious white guy, and his fanbase as an extension of that.

now i havent been in the ww fandom v long, but given the depths i have gone in it i feel at least somewhat comfortable saying im not sure exactly where this impression is coming from.

i see him writing very eclectic erratic and idiosyncratic songs, and people having a variety of interpretations of them, and i can see how that might come off as pretentiousness, especially bc some of his fans really do cross a line in terms of a gatekeepy parasocial attachment to will

but i haven't really seen anyone going THIS IS THE ONLY WAY TO INTERPRET THIS SONG YOURE STUPID IF YOU DONT SEE IT or smth to that effect

i acknowledge tho that there is also some legitimate background to this perception, bc what i have seen is:

-will playing characters live and joking w his audience in ways that are often either easily misinterpreted or clearly just someone with extreme mental health issues

-will being maybe mildly annoyed at how his fans often... over analyze his songs and upset when they overstep boundaries, and sometimes expressing that in non ideal ways.

-wills fans being incredibly obsessed with him and his music, which to the outside observer can be annoying i think (but honestly this to me reads more as a bunch of nd ppl w who have hyperfixated/have a special interest related to him)

-the lyrics to wills songs all being very confusing, especially the farther back in his discography you go, and his fans acting like their meanings are obvious on a first glance even when they arent (which is all the time)

-will pulling references from sources that can be seen as pretentious and off putting, esp when coming from a white guy (taoism, it's always sunny, modern psychology, 'classic' films, name dropping authors of philosophy, etc.)

-wills stances often being contrarian and often (especially on first glance) seemingly being that way purely for the sake of being contrarian

-will explaining his stances in fancy and grandiloquent language (a note on this one in particular: i think of this as not really a sign of being pretentious, potentially bc of my own struggles w it. i often accidentally use a bunch of complicated words and descriptions that wouldn't make sense to me if i was the one hearing them, not because im trying to be exclusionary or come off as ✨intelligent✨, but bc it was explained to me in those terms and i went through the process of studying it in that terminology and being told i had to use that terminology, and now im too dumb to translate what im thinking back into language that's actually comprehensible)

but i feel that a lot of these things are really overstated in how often they happen. by and large, i think a lot of this response is a misreading of the facts that his fanbase is really passionate to a somewhat obsessive degree, will is very passionate about the things he likes and the things he believes in, and both will and the majority of his fan base are pretty mentally unstable and/or neurodivergent.

from what ive seen, will isn't trying to be pretentious in any way and is legitimately just expressing himself. his fanbase despite their occasional issues are ultimately pretty much just very passionate people. and also he does not hate them! to quote the man himself

"guys, i don't hate you! stop telling people i hate you! stop doing that; i like you people! 99.999 percent of you are really good, and 99.999 percent of the people who piss me off are just going through it! i don't know where people are getting this idea the whole like 'will wood hates his fandom' yeah i know i said i hate you all in that song but... you know, it's a song! i like you guys."

if you have counter info/arguments though id love to see them. im always looking for new perspectives, and as i said ive *just* started listening to will wood and looking into his lore. i couldve totally missed smth and id love to hear it if i have.

Propaganda why Alex Eagleston is insufferable:

literally causes the end of the world by being The Absolute Worst and has done so multiple times including his alternate selves. he technically has three (and a half) love interests (cause theyre the only characters he can/attempt to kiss or express any attraction to) and he treats them all poorly first three vella sammy and essentia 2000 are cause hes a misogynist but they all get different flavors of it sammy gets fridged for the plot of the game and is basically never relevant again outside of a secret(?) ending. shes also based off of a real life dead person for no fucking reason. vella is subjected to weird speculation about her age in her introduction scene with alex saying something along the lines of she cant be older than him cause shes too pretty (alex is like 24 and vella 27 from what i recall its been a few years since ive thought about yiik) and has a weird internal monologue about his feminist ex girlfriend prompted by vella just existing. theres a weird scene when alex asks her if shes korean n says she looks vaguely ethnic making her uncomfortable. One Of His Alternate Selves Literally Caused Her To Leave Her Home Dimension Cause Of How Poorly He Treated Her and the context behind that is that to leave the world/timeline/dimension/whatever you're originally from you basically have to be super suicidal and he pushed her to that point by ghosting her for a while and next time vella saw him he was hooking up with a girl noticably younger than her (<- remember this) and immediately after being told this he can attempt to kiss her which has no actual repercussions. essentia 2000 is like technically supposed to be evil i guess but her goal is supposed to be killing alex so i cant fault her on that. the in game day after they first meet alex has like a monologue about how special and attractive she is ""she was like water filling all my cracks"" or some shit. all three girls are alternates of eachother and are on a sliding scale of how objectified they are by alex with who got it the worst depending on which aspect you're focusing on. other sort of love interest is rory (diversity loss!) who alex can attempt to kiss after he confides in him about something when rory is like 18-19 (hes meant to be about the same age as michael whos recently graduated high school) and depending on how alex treats him can literally kill himself and alex's reaction to learning this is to only focus on how terrible he feels before moving on n rory's death never being mentioned again. the whole point of the game is that alex is a piece of shit who cant even buy groceries for his mom without throwing a hissy fit about it but it undermines itself constantly by having characters forgive or just stop being mad at alex on a dime after hes been exceedingly shitty towards them in various ways and any sort of charm or endearing traits he had quickly wearing off due to him never shutting the fuck up. near the end of the game all the other party members are killed off in quick succession leaving alex by himself and all he can do is sulk in self pity before going on a space adventure or whatever to stop an alternate him thats linked to an alternate essentia and enlisting the player as a different alternate him to help fight various superficial flaws of himself (which arent even like the actual things that make him insufferable n a bad person) n then finish the job for him. i need to punt him into the sun

He constantly goes on annoying monologues about things that nobody cares about. In game he is meant to be kind of an asshole, but they never give him the necessary character development to make him feel like a proper flawed protagonist, yet the narrative makes him out to be a character who is ""deep down a good guy"". Also he doesn't seem to care about any of his friends/party members.

The game intends to paint Alex as a bad person, but this is implemented in such a snide and uninteresting manner which has nothing to actually say about him being this way, nor is it at all fun or entertaining to experience.

He has no idea what's going on, blindly following the plot with the vague motivation of being suddenly stricken with affection for a girl he basically called a freak as soon as he met her five minutes ago. He is self-absorbed, lazy and overconfident, constantly bemoaning and ignoring the needs and feelings of others. He is the only character given enough breathing space to have something to him, and yet manages to not even feel any sort of dimensional.

Also his shirt is an ad for the dev's last game.

An incel who always screams about everything and yet is overly pretentious about everything.

Glimmergroves nobility and royalty is especially strict with the structure and dynamic, as they are the oldest kingdom and have a lot of beta and alphas(so lots of bias) and so their omega laws arent as good as...literally every other empire(the sanctuary has the best btw)

This is mainly due to the nobles of glimmergrove keeping the laws in limbo through bribery or arguments, etc. A lot of the laws in limbo have passed since Katherine inherited the throne. But also she's spent all her time around nobles and their ideals and has been traumatized/influenced by them. So she's hesitant on others unintentionally....until shelbys comes along and she starts to unlearn everything she was, wrongly, taught. And it starts from their frost meeting

the argument went a bit like this: most omegas come in for collars you know- are you sure enough only want the hat?, .....I'm sorry- what?, well most omegas usually have someone special when they come in here and so order collars- or have a mark you don't got either, so?, nothing just a bit odd, you do realize what you just implied right?, hm?, not all omegas have a partner you shouldn't assume they do- and even if they do they shouldn't have to buy a collar they don't belong to whoever their dating, I- I know I didn't mean it like that-, yeah well it sure as hell sounds like it., I- I'm sorry, I didn't think-, yeah a lot of people dont...., ....sorry...., just don't do it again.

That was how Katherine learned that unlike what other alphas taught her, omegas do not think of the collar as a gift. But as an insult, like they are below everyone else. And most of the classes below nobles and royalty know this- it's why when Alpha and omega couples come into her shop(the oens who live here) seem awkward, the alpha seeming guilty and the omega seeming nervouse. She always just thought it was because she didn't have enough varieties of collars or they had a fight before coming in(gg has the ancient and biased law that omages gotta wear a collar or bite mark to show their not single so they dont 'tempt other alphas' katherine realizes how biased it is now)

So now if she doesn't understand what a law for omegas means or thinks it's weird she'll get shelbys opinion on what exactly it'd mean for omegas.....to her suprise these laws have been passed in every empire, that's in the are aka the main other 11 minus s+k, except hers which makes her feel angry and sick/guilty. Shelby reassures her by saying shes doing more then any previouse ruler of her land and how its 'better late then never right?'(It also makes so much more sense now as to why so many omegas moved out of glimmergrove)

She still faces a lot of resistance, treading a thin line between change and fighting against the nobles. That's before her own life experience even gets involved. She refuses to be like her parents, though. Everybody should feel welcomed in Glimmergrove. (Katherine wants Shelby to feel welcome here, in her home.) She knows how it feels to be ostracized for something out of your control.

She does what she can to form relationships between communities. People are understandably reluctant to meet with her. Shelby must see something in her, because she often helps Katherine get her foot in the door. Katherine doesn't think she'd have been able to meet Sausage without her help (his expertise was incredibly valuable. And to her surprise, she didn't even think to ask what his designation is!)

Things are going well, and Katherine begins drafting up more powerful laws to protect the omegas within Glimmergrove - ensuring they have the same right as any beta or alpha to exist as their own person. She's already noticed the bristling in court, but she's an alpha for a damn reason. How is it fair that omegas aren't even allowed in these discussions about the laws and leadership of their kingdom? Laws that affect them, especially!

Money and power, it turns out, talks.

Katherine can barely get a word in as one of the oldest council members argues that she is a curse upon the kingdom, just as was foreseen at her birth. They say her corruption will tear the kingdom apart. They've lived in comfortable stability for centuries, they cannot let the cursed princess shake the foundations of their peace.

In a room of threatened, powerful betas and alphas with a whole lot to lose, Katherine is alone. Her counter arguments are ignored, because of course they would be. For all their fancy words about peace and stability, she knows they mean 'power'. She wants to cry that if their stability is built on injustice then it deserves to fall, but she doubts that will win her any favours.

The first assassination attempt is only a few days later, clearly discontent with the long process of stripping her political power formally. Katherine is lucky it was one of the nights Shelby was visiting. Her visits are in secret, especially considering the current situation. But it meant the would-be assassin wasn't expecting her.

When they step outside the room, all of Katherine's guards are gone. Not dead, no. But not a single one is at their post. They've stuck a target on her back and cleared the way to it as well.

Shelby squeezes her hand tightly. Katherine grits her teeth and squeezes back.

“breezy” comes from blue n green both being cool colors i associate with spring specially a characteristic mild spring breeze n ofc things fly in the breeze like how shaggy often flies into freds arms at any hint of danger. I have a question

now before by any means, i dont want to offend anyone, that is not my goal and im sorry if i do. i kinda just want to know (please dont cancel me lmao)

a lot of posts that i see, are about people getting exited about getting a medical diagnosis of autism. as someone who does have a diagnosis, i dont get why people would be so hyped. i also want to say that there is nothing with actually being autistic, this is based of the social standing of having an diagnosis. getting a diagnosis is good, just not exciting because society sucks.

i get it would be some closure, it would kinda explain why you were different from other kids. one of my siblings got diagnosed with autism when they were a toddler. it was easier to diagnosed them cuz they had a "male presenting" moderate to severe autism, basically they are visibly autistic. my other sibling wasnt diagnosed until they were a child. they had a more "female presenting" high functioning autism, so it was more difficult to get them a diagnosis. mind that they are identical twins. i didnt get a diagnosis until i was in my late teens. my doctor told my parent that i was "more visibly autistic" for years but i just got pushed to the side. i was diagnosed with adhd when i was 10 but i do think that was a misdiagnosis.

anyways back to the question, i dont get the hype other than closure. having an actual diagnoses can lead to good things, the only one i can think of is having one at a younger age so that you can (maybe) get an iep or accommodations. sadly, a lot of teachers dont care about these if your lucky to get them. my siblings were lucky, and they were lucky to be put in general education classes instead of special education (elementary school), but they were treated either like babies, idiots, just straight up ignored them, annoyed with them, and/or hated them (especially my more visibly autistic sibling). it wasnt until middle school that my siblings were put in special education classe, which were more for the bad kids that snorted a line of crack cocaine in the bathroom everyday. also if your a male in america, you can opt out of the draft lol

more of the "cons", having a diagnoses is great and all, until you tell people that you have a diagnoses they treat you like a baby, treat you like shit, and/or think that they will contract autism. youre gonna get flushed with sterotypes. you tell someone on a job interview you have autism or visibly have autism, you should know damn well they arent gonna hire you. it can really had to get a job, even if you have a degree. its hard and it sucks. i would never tell someone that i have autism, unless i was in love with them or something

okay. first up. TOGE. i love him to pieces, but we know shockingly little about him. no backstory. not a single line of inner monologue/thoughts in the WHOLE series. while it's definitely fun to write him because you can do so much interpretation as to his thoughts and personality, it would be really cool to have at least some background on his past and how that crazy lil mind of his works. also, where the fuck is he? i only half-heartedly keep up with the manga based on spoilers i see online, but fuck, even panda got to come back. toge is a fan-favorite, come on gege. i am annoyed as hell. give me back my boy!!!!!!!

second!! KAMO! yes, i know he is technically back for the moment, but i think he had a lot more potential than just throwing him in another fight scene. i think he could've been a really great character foil for megumi, and yet...well. they barely interacted. to me, he was definitely the most interesting of the kyoto kids, other than mai. he was vying to be a clan head and learning of his past beyond a mommy issues flashback could've shed light on how the other major clans operate. sigh

third: SHOKO!!! my beloved, my wife, my everything. we know so little about her, and even in gojo's past arc she barely got any screentime and was mostly sidelined to stsg. i think she has such a unique perspective on jujutsu society, and her isolation could offer some insights on the many ways this horrible world treats their most important members. how does she cope, beyond drinking and smoking? i want to see her emotions, i want people to stop reducing her to a character that just smokes and is tired of stsg's bullshit. i think she could've also been a great character complement to nanami, which i--clearly have feelings about and am acting upon. yeah.

fourth: YUKI. this one i am genuinely annoyed about. she's the only woman special grade and we don't even know her technique. she hasn't been in a fight scene, and even when she did finally arrive she was here for maybe like what, 3 chapters? before she got stuck in a tree to #$%@ choso. i'm so interested in hearing more about her research to eradicate cursed energy and her personality/backstory as a whole. her one conversation with getou was so interesting, and i want to hear more of her opinions on non-sorcerers and the trajectory of the world. clearly i had feelings about this too. yuki my queen

last, and definitely least: naoya. now, i absolutely do not mean this in a "he was great and i wanted more of him!!1!1!" way, but rather, i think he had so much more potential either as a villain or a character with insane development than...whatever the fuck he is now. i knew he was going to come back as a curse, but...idk. to me, he represents everything wrong with jujutsu society. exploring his character really could've shed light on how things got this bad, and how he was raised. the thing is, people forget frankenstein is the one who created the monster, and i feel that way about him. jj society failed him as much as it failed others. do i think he deserved his fate? absolutely i do. but i wish more had happened before that, or, if his character arc was going to go in a different way, that could've been interesting too. anyway

satos backstory ova has got me all mad 😤

rant about the things they changed (long lol)

• its not in vietnam, its some random unspecified african country (😐). they arent going on a mission to rescue someone but to capture a criminal.

• time period changed from 1976 to 1990 (but he has a gameboy advance? idk when those came out but it felt out of place lol) in the manga he isnt a gamer until after hes discharged from the military

• changed so his team is the ones that took down the soldier of god, which is just a weird coincidence i hate lol. oh the main antagonist just happened to be there when the first ajin was discovered? really? 🙄

• he shows too much emotions. in the manga he only smiles when killing, not before or after. in fact in the manga they point out that almost immediately after hes done killing he goes back to -_-

• speaking of his emotions they leave out one of my favorite lines. "he never said he was happy or sad, he always put it in some vague roundabout way" i love that :( its so relatable

• he doesnt get his team surrounded and then reveal his team to the enemy when theyre out in the open but instead just gets the enemy's attention while his team is all away? he goes on a lone killing spree basically. which means...

• NO "PLAY BALL" 😭😭😭

• he doesnt lose his leg, he just gets shot and its not clear whether or not he recovers fully? so theres no wheelchair sato (well in one scene briefly)... cmon! give me disabled sato or give me death!!!!

• bc of that theres no 80s windbreaker sato playing at an arcade 😭 and no chinatown fight scene!! i love that one bc it shows even when hes disabled hes a cold blooded killer and makes you understand why hes cool with having okuyama fight with him.

• also his scar is wrong -_-

• hes not on a special team, and hes not the leader of the team. hes meant to be the best of the best, not just some military guy!

• no one calls him sam or pokerface 😞

• his family is never brought up at all, and the fact that hes half english/white and half chinese is never brought up either.. his race doesnt matter in the story but its just a fun little tidbit about him thats just left out completely

• the fight scene where he learns hes an ajin is pretty much gone. you just see him surrounded by dead ppl and then he wakes up. which is not how it went at all. also you arent given any context on why hes there at all? like i guess its revenge for the guys he killed earlier? but still he LOSES the fight in the manga, dies, and then kills them. he doesnt die after killing them. its a lot less cool actually :(

• and finally i think they were being way too silly when they made him talk about wanting to be a terrorist.. like first of all the us military would take that very seriously and second of all... are you serious. the guy who becomes a terrorist says he wants to be a one in the future. who wrote this. a child?

I was in the shower and i came up with a magic system

background:

everyone in this world can use "magic"

magic = converting energy (like life, electricity, fire, magicy ones and sciencey ones) from one form to another.

Magic has a few steps. First, you need a source of energy which you release. Second the energy released is controlled by runes, words, movements ect. ect. haven't decided on all of them, but basically whatever works, to turn that energy into "magic".

Therefore difficult spells aren't just a matter of power/energy but a matter knowedge and ability to control said energy (which gets more difficult the more energy there is), however spells can still be incredibly difficult will very little energy, especially as one must be precise to work with the small amount of energy they have.

If the spell fails a lot of shit can happen, but basically it depends on the state of the spell, the energy will just explode out but if the spell is somewhat done it will explode along the lines of whatever the spell said, but since it is unfinished those lines are quite vauge. if the spell was just done imprecisely then the magic can just kind of "leak out". The more energy the worse the effect, so small spells, even if insanely difficult arent a danger to society.

About half the society is born with a kind of spell they can just do, i havent decided what this half of society will be called, but with this half, the energy for the magic comes from the caster (think toh magic bile sac) and the control of the spell is just innate, the magic that is coming from the caster is inherently suited to that one type of spell. more info in next section

Specialized magic people

everyone in this society is related to these 20 people who existed a really really long time ago. These people had the original innate spell casting abilities, which still exist today.

this innate power is genetic, but its kind of complicated. You have to be descended from someone with that innate power to inherit, but again it is tricky. If you are descended from someone with a power, you still only have a 50% chance of getting any power at all, but you can still pass it down. If you're parents have 2 different innate powers you can inherit either, but you're child doesn't inherit the possibilty for both powers, they inherit the possibility for the power you have and the power your partner has. If the inherit ability skipped you then your child inherits all the possibilities of inherit power of the last people in your family that had it.

There are also people who are born (like 2%) of the population, either to parents with inherit power or without or a mix, who will develop an inherit power not posssed by the origional 20. These powers are very very rare and there are like 30+ diffrent kinds but ppl don't know how many because not enough people have had them. If they have children, their children basically just get thrown in the lottery for 49% chance of no inherit power 49% chance of a random inherit power (not dependant on ancestry) and the 2% of the weird rare inherit power.

also they can still use normal magic

some people are better at using their inherit power than others.

Society

because everyone can use magic, and there is no good way to predict who inherits one power, there isn't much discrimination between people with or without inherit power

loose factions have formed over the family lines with inherit powers, generally its just that they all go to different schools, which specialize in their inherit ability so they don't mix much, but they don't really hate each other

the one social stigma is the people with the rare inherit power having children with people who have a normal inherit power, because the inherit family lines have formed, and by having a child who has no genetic ties to any inherit power means that that child could be born into an entirely different faction and its seen as ostracizing the child, by preventing them from inheriting the factions power and forcing it to assimilate into another who one accept them.

Each faction has a family is directly descended from the original 20 and they are in possetions of all the knowledge that has ever been found about their power/inherit ability, and act as a sort of "elder" for the faction. If their heir is inept, then they will skip them, and adopt a more promising student into the family for a generation and go back to the old family line.

hi, two anons!! im glad you guys liked my nxx team polycule stuff!! i'll answer these in one go, my "headcanon" (in quotes because i think this kinda turned into a character analysis/minific of sorts HAHA) being what first anon asked, How They Get Together.

heads up, wc of this is 1.9k words long so buckle up for a bit of a read jfsjdfkjbf

because first anon, youre right!!! the boys are stupendously complicated which i love so so much but canon has also shown us clearly that each of the boys' quirks and habits and tendencies causes a lot of (mostly played for laughs) friction. the bickering, the backhanded insults, the "im the best one here" preening contests. theyre all SOOOO RIDICULOUS and it is hilarious but yep! the boys r complex!! and that means this beautiful ship, imo, has a lot of phases to get to the actual romantic relationship bit.

how they get together, in my opinion, starts because of mc.

not in the sense that she matchmakes them all, but like.

phase 1 of the nxx team polycule is this:

through being in love with her (which we all know the boys 100% are), each of the boys come to terms with their own flaws and weaknesses. it's very apparent to me in all the story thus far that these boys are flawed as hell, it's very compelling but even more compelling to me is how all of them also do intense mental gymnastics to Not Confront Those Flaws. like, marius is a dickbag always teasing and toeing the line of insincerity, vyn is a controlling mf who always tries to sway situations to his benefit, artem is so repressed to the point that he has genuine trouble with emotions, luke is a self sacrificial bastard and also a huge hypocrite about how no, actually, hes the only one that should be hiding his pain and being dishonest, no dishonesty from other people!! in the beginning of the story, all the boys have their flaws and seem to have just kinda...not addressed how those flaws are harming them and the people around them.

and then mc rolls around and they all fall in love with her. and she sees those flaws and she doesnt let them slide. she challenges the boys in her own ways to see another side of the situation, to acknowledge what theyre doing. she doesnt want to get rid of flaws, thats impossible and also not cool. she just has this beautiful hope for like, all of humanity, that goodness can prevail with the right work. so when she sees her beloved nxx boys, she believes that for them as well.

which leads to phase 2 of the nxx team polycule:

the boys, more aware of themselves, become more aware of each other.

they werent Unaware of the others of course. it's just that they didnt like...truly connect on a personal level just yet. they saw the other teammembers with their emotional armor and flaws and saw a wall that wasnt worth looking past.

but after mc makes them realize that hey, flaws arent the end of the world actually, it's alright and the person behind them may just be worth it, the boys like. end up understanding the others. A LOT OF THIS BIT IS UNINTENTIONAL, ON THEIR PARTS KJDSBFS. like they stumble into understanding each other by accident, they didnt plan it, but over the course of nxx investigations, it's inevitable that they end up seeing the depths of the others. i delve into this a little bit in my fanfic "filler eps of the lost gold" where the boys are just going thru their actions and then trip over another boy's fears or desires and through that, gain a deeper understanding mutually.

and with understanding, sometimes, comes trust.

phase 3 of the nxx team polycule goes like this:

everybody in this team, whether they like it or not, whether they know it or not, has a heart that wants to give love so desperately.

marius lives in a world full of snakes so he cant have his heart on his sleeve for his own protection. vyn wants to be seen as perfect and the heart is inherently messy so he holds it back. artem for a very very long time was focused on work and success and achievement that he neglected his heart. and luke has been giving love all his life in a sense but in a way thats hidden.

all these tendencies that are brought upon their life circumstances results in this: they want to love honestly but they havent been able to do this

until mc. and all of them want to push back whatever fears or patterns their life has instilled in them because they see her and see somebody so unwaveringly good that all their hearts begin giving love to her to make her happy and to make themselves happy as well.

but heres the thing. the boys dont just see mc. by this point, they have connected and understood and come to trust each other as well, and the consequence of that is that They Can See Each Other Now Too, Truly.

and heres the thing. all of the boys are unwaveringly good as well.

one by one, each of the boys realize that what they feel for the other boys in the team starts to...change. yeah theyre all friends, they pick on each other a lot of the time, but the bedrock of the relationship is solid and strong now. but when marius is with luke, marius sees a light inside of luke so bright that he seems unaware that he gives off. when artem is with vyn, artem sees a goodness inside of vyn that hesitates to make itself obvious and known because vyn is scared of getting hurt thanks to it. all of them see the other and their goodness and, unbidden, their hearts want to give love to each other as well.

and because theyre all a bit stupid in their own way theyre like, huh, weird! wonder why this feeling is so familiar! and yet i cant seem to name it...and then they all independently compare these feeling with the feelings they have for mc, a feeling they do know the name of, and theyre like.

WAIT.

THESE FEELINGS ARE...VERY BASICALLY EXACTLY WHAT I FEEL FOR MC.

which only means one thing: theyve fallen in love with everybody else

marius: //goes to his studio to Think and sees that a bunch of his recent art actually had little crumbs of these feelings already, etched into the brushstrokes and scenes. has an emotional crisis about it

vyn: //records a 1 hour long entry in his audio diary to examine and gain control of his feelings but by the end of the hour all he knows is that he wants to hold these people and be held by them

artem: //quite literally just bluescreens, artem.exe has stopped working, sits at his study and slowly, slowly, thunks his head down onto his desk, valiantly trying to ignore the fast pulse of his heart

luke: //manically vents about it to peanut who, by virtue of being a bird, doesnt get it. just keeps talking at peanut to get a grasp of it all and then lies down on the floor, overwhelmed

mc, sitting in her apartment watching some netflix: ...why do i inexplicably feel as if something very, very important has just happened?

phase 4 of the nxx team polycule is basically:

pining: extreme difficulty level

because pining is already hard when ur pining for one person. what more for an additional 3 more people. and those additional 3 more people are pining back.

and all these boys are SOOOO OBVIOUS with their romantic feelings, in their own special way. the way they show their affection to mc starts to bleed into their interactions with the others and everybody can CLEARLY SEE WHAT IS GOING ON, LOL, but also all the boys are too chickenshit to confront it, because if they confront it, what will even happen??? being in love with each other, all of them, thats going to be such a complicated fucking relationship, holy shit. it's 2030, yeah, being a polyamorous group relationship isnt completely unheard of, but sue them, theyre scared.

but mc (who i forgot to mention already knows of the boys' romantic feelings for her, shes just hasnt made a move yet on any of them because SHES IN LOVE WITH ALL OF THEM AS WELL and shes been trying to figure out how the hell to make that work, she cant bear to choose just one of them, she'd be heartbroken over leaving the rest of them behind) sees that the nxx investigation team is now all pining for each other FULLY and she kinda wants to laugh when she realizes whats going on because like, what are the chances? that this would happen? that they all found each other and their feelings fell into just the right place for nobody to be left behind?

theyre all scared, she can tell. and she is as well, she wont lie.

but shes always had a belief that goodness can prevail with the right work.

and love is one of the greatest goods out there.

phase 5 of the nxx team polycule:

It's Time For Communication, Baby!!!!!

the exact scenes of how this happens is a bit vague to me. it could go two ways: mc going to each of the boys independently to talk about feelings, hers about everybodys and his about everybodys as well. OR they have a fucking meeting about it all together and artem literally schedules it in his google calendar, or something.

either way, they like, actually talk about this. starts casual, maybe over a chill date, maybe over dinner at a nice restaurant, maybe over a walk in the park as the sun is starting to set. but where ever it happens, the end result is the same: a heart is laid out bare and it is taken in gentle, grateful hands.

hey yall im back again 🧍🏻‍♀️ is this what you call a headcanon?? idk BAHAHSHHA. anyways i've had this idea in my mind for a while and i wanted to share it to yall, so i hope you guys like it 😌

before the pandemic, you and your family have moved into the murder house.

the house gave your family a very odd vibe, but nonetheless all of you had to bear with it because it was sold for a cheap price.

but when the pandemic arrived the country, you were stuck at home 24/7. thus, classes were online.

you met tate because of your father. tate was one of his patients and the both of you grew close.

"Y/N, what are you doing?"

tate would randomly barge in your room while having a class and you would jump out of shock.

"Jesus, Tate. Stop scaring me like that!"

tate would giggle and lay on your bed, observing the lesson that the teacher rambled about.

while you're writing notes, he would stand up and take a chair from some part of your room and sit beside you.

knowing that tate is clingy, you would warn him not to bug you and behave while you listened in class.

of course, he doesn't listen and he would place his head on your shoulder and eventually would cuddle you.

"Taaate, please let me focus."

luckily, you always keep your camera off.

"Mmm, no. I enjoy bugging you."

one time, you were driving to school on your own and you were almost running out of gas.

luckily, you saw a gas station nearby and decided to get a fill before heading to school. and there, you met kit.

when you first laid your eyes on kit, you thought that he was the prettiest man ever. you couldn't let this chance slip, thus, you exchanged numbers with him.

you talked all day and night, the both of you were so inlove with each other and you finally decided to introduce him to your parents.

your parents loved him and you were so, so happy.

but when the pandemic came, it affected your relationship with kit.

since all schools and unis were closed down, everything went online.

when kit stayed over, he couldn't spend a lot of time with you because you had to attend classes early in the morning, till afternoon.

"Can you stay in bed with me for a little bit, darling?"

unfortunately, you woke up late that day and you missed 10 minutes of your first class. and just like that, you were stuck to your desk until afternoon.

"Kit baby, I'm sorry. I'm late for my first class. Maybe later, okay?"

as much as kit hated this whole online class thing, he would always find a way to cheer you up.

thus, he would cook you breakfast and bring it over to your room.

"C'mere, I'll feed you while you listen and write down notes."

PRE DEATH:

madison, your friend, had bugged you all week to go with her to this college frat party near your house.

you weren't the party type. you loved staying at home, watching netflix or reading some sort of fan fiction on wattpad.

but you hated being single. so, this was your chance to actually get a boyfriend.

when you arrived at the party, you immediately hated it. everything was so loud and everyone was drinking, it was definitely a new sight for you.

you were sitting on a couch that was in the balcony, with a red cup that was filled with punch. you loved being away from the commotion.

this is where you met kyle, it was love at first sight. the both of you had so much in common and you thought that he was the man of your dreams.

you exchanged snapchats and from there, you were partners-in-crime.

you and kyle had stopped going to parties ever since the pandemic arrived, which means you got to see each other less.

since the both of you were students, both of your classes went online.

one time, kyle had no classes for a day and he decided to surprise you.

that day, you were having an online presentation. both your camera and microphone were on.

"Rene Descartes was the Father of Modern Philosophy—"

as you were presenting the slide show, you were cut off by kyle's presence infront of your desk.

"I brought you food, baby!"

you would shush him and suddenly turn off your mic.

"I'm so sorry, Miss. My boyfriend arrived and I—"

kyle would go beside you and kiss you on your cheek, your classmates and teacher cooing over it.

"Miss, you better give my girlfriend a good grade."

POST DEATH:

*pretend that he survived the bus accident and had a coma, because we arent involving witchcraft here*

kyle and his fraternity were on a bus that was going to some college event at school.

on the way there, you guys snapped each other and his friends would talk to you as well.

unfortunately, they got in an accident and the bus was flipped over.

a few students, including kyle, survived the accident.

when you heard this news, you cried your heart out and you didnt talk to anyone in your family.

you and your family visited the hospital and you rushed to kyle's room, it broke your heart to see tubes in him, with machines that beeped like there was no tomorrow.

when the doctor said that kyle was in a coma, your heart sank in the deepest part of your body.

this made you stay 24/7 with him until he was discharged.

when he was discharged from the hospital, he was not his usual self. the bubbly, energetic kyle was gone. instead, he was so confused with everything.

kyle's mom made him stay with you until he got his memory back, and you were more than glad to help.

but this took a toll on your studies because your classes were online due to a pandemic.

everyday in class, you would let kyle sit beside you and let him observe what you were doing.

"We're in Science class, Kyle. You were really good in Science, you helped me alot with my homeworks."

most of the time, you would help kyle develop his speech and his writing. but it was difficult for you.

"S-Sci... S-Sci-en.. ce?"

"Yes, Kyle! Good job, now one more time."

~♡ JIMMY DARLING:

ever since you were a kid, you loved going to carnivals, your parents would always bring you there every weekend.

there were carnivals almost everywhere, and your family brought you to all of them.

to you, each carnival was unique. the clowns and magicians in each carnival had different tricks up their sleeve.

but as you grew up, these carnivals slowly went out of business. except for one, which was elsa's cabinet of curiosities.

you decided to visit it one day just for a trip down memory lane, you never really had expectations for this place.

when you arrived there, there were a few people that were seated.

the show started and it instantly made you smile, they reminded you of your younger days. oh how you wished to be a child again.

you watched through a few acts, and the last act was a man named jimmy darling

when he came on stage, you locked eyes with him. there was something about him that really struck you.

after the performance ended, jimmy ran over to you and got your number. from there, you always talked and you would visit him regularly.

the regular visits stopped when the pandemic struck the country, forcing entertainment establishments, schools and unis to close down.

for the mean time, all your classes went online. you told jimmy that he could stay with you until things went back to normal.

on an early tuesday morning, you were in english class. jimmy was with your parents preparing breakfast, and you were falling asleep while your teacher discussed about the odyssey.

unlike tate, jimmy would always knock on your door. as his mom always taught, never enter anyone's room without knocking.

jimmy would giggle at your sleeping sight, your head lowered and your hair messed up.

"Hey, sweetheart, wake up! You're in class."

jimmy's timing was perfect. as he woke you up, you were called by the teacher.

"Miss Y/N, Do you think Odysseus was loyal to his wife?"

obviously, you panicked. but jimmy was there to save you. since jimmy was fond of reading, he finished the book and he whispered the answer to you before you could turn on your mic.

"No, Ma'am. Odysseus had an affair with Calypso and Circe."

once you got your teacher's approval, you turned off your microphone and let out a sigh of relief.

"You're lucky that I'm here to help you."

jimmy would joke and you would jump up to him, tackling him into a hug.

"I'm always lucky to have you, baby."

at a young age, you were exposed to different types of fabrics. denim, silk, corduroy, neoprene. they name it, you've probably seen it.

your mother worked as a fashion designer. she managed to open a shop in the city and it was a great success for you and your family.

your mother has styled famous models. because of this, the shop was promoted and broadcasted all over the country. one day when you came from school, you saw a long line outside the shop.

that day, the staff count was low. there were only 5 employees instead of 10. you didn't exactly know why, so you decided to help.

after what felt like several hours, the long line finally dissolved into 2 customers, which was a mother and her son. they looked through the shop and the mother instantly loved everything.

her son, on the other hand, was trying on this lilac tux that your mother made.

you assisted her son and when you locked eyes, the both of you smiled. you entertained him throughout his shopping spree and the both of you never broke eye contact.

this was how you met dandy. he made the first move by getting your number, and of course you gave it back.

from there, the both of you talked day and night, even when you were in school.

since dandy's mother, gloria, loved your mother's shop so much, she would invite you and your mother regularly to her mansion.

gloria and your mother got along very well, and it was like gloria was your second mother.

so when your mother went to paris for a fashion show, she let you stay in gloria's mansion until she came back.

but to your dismay, your mother was not able to come back due to a pandemic that was all over the world. flights, establishments, and schools closed down.

of course you were sad, but you didn't worry so much because gloria treated you like her real daughter.

classes were online and you were forced to attend them everyday in the shared room you had with dandy.

since you had to get ready for class early in the morning, you would quietly get out of bed because dandy was sometimes a light sleeper.

it was around 8am and you were in math class. in your school, cameras were required to be turned on at all times. you thought this was a shit rule, but you had no choice to comply.

you were drawing some circles with a compass for an example that was being discussed by your teacher, when all of a sudden dandy was beside you.

"Dandy, sweetie, what are you doing up so early? Go back to sleep.."

dandy would pout at the lack of attention that you were giving him. since he loved holding your hand, you let him hold your other hand that you didn't use for writing.

"You're doing Math instead of cuddling with me!"
