This was my favorite anime for about a year. I was obsessed with it: anime, manga, light novels, amvs, and fanfiction included in that. It still holds up today and has a special place in my heart.  

Every time I rewatch No. 6, I learn something new about the different ways that Nezushi subverts trope expectations, especially expectations established by poorly written same-gender romance stories in anime.

For example, I realized today that despite Nezumi being so closed-off and emotionally distant with Shion (at least in the beginning), Nezumi is actually way touchier than Shion is.

In episode 1, after he tackles Shion, he keeps ahold of Shion's wrist even after he's gotten off of him.

In episode 3, he keeps touching Shion's face.

In ep 4, he puts his arm around Shion while they're leaving Rikiga's place.

And later in the same episode, he puts Shion's hand on his heart.

In ep 6, Nezumi is the one who pulls Shion to dance with him.

Nezumi can barely go five minutes without touching Shion in episode 9.

Nezumi initiates their kiss in the last episode.

And then, of course, there's all the times he grabs Shion's shirt when he's trying to get Shion to listen to him (seriously, it happens like once an episode).

While Shion does endorse physical contact with Nezumi and never shies away from it, he's rarely ever the initiator. There's only a couple of times where Shion is the one initiating physical contact between them, and even those few times are vastly outweighed by the number of times Nezumi is the one to initiate physical touch.

TL;DR: Nezumi's love language is physical touch and I think we should talk about that more.

Yes! I've only seen one fanfic where Adam comes out of the cage wanting revenge. Which is surprising. He and Michael would have made great final bosses/villains. They both had the motive to back it up and the power to make it challenging. 

Adam Milligan should’ve been the final boss of Supernatural. Betrayed by everyone, furious and revenge-driven, just out from Hell, knowing that his brothers had tried to release him only once (and even then he wasn’t the first choice). The Winchesters had an ex-angel and a powerless nephilim on their side, but Adam had the first Archangel, the Prince of Heaven, completely in love with him and willing to do whatever Adam would want to. Only one thought — nothing more, they don’t need words after all those years spent together — and Sam and Dean would be gone from the face of the Earth. Adam had all the hate, rage, motives and all means to do that. Of course, the main characters always win, they would’ve found a way to defeat him, lock him up for another thousand years, but at least he would’ve done something. Some kind of revenge. Nobody escapes Hell’s most terrifying prison, a place so terrible that demons thought it was only a legend, looking like they are happy with their life, asking only for an apology from those who abandoned them. Lucifer wasn’t always a monster. The Cage turned an Archangel into the Devil. What would it in fact do to a weak human soul?

the aesthetics of supernatural make me want to scream. it starts with dark foggy nights, lonely roads, morning dew on a windshield, black coffee with a vintage book, moving shadows and goosebumps and slowly fades into dark parallels. angel wings and demon eyes, a beautiful blade dripping with blood, burgers and fries paired with liquor and tears, classic rock playing over last breaths. its indescribable.

one of the best fics i've ever read, one that had me addicted to my phone and crying, wasn't even prose. it was a huge, casual, bullet-pointed outline with every detail of an au that the author never got around to writing in full. and it was amazing.

let this be a message to all you who want to write but can't do it "normally": write it! someone out there will eat it up. whether that be poetry, tiny drabbles, or bullet pointed list: your work is always worth it. your art (yes, art!) will alway deserve to have its moment in the spotlight. why? because you made it. even if it wasn't done in a traditional matter, it came from your brain and your creativity and that is amazing.

actually that ao3 post about calculating kudos-to-hits ratios to decide if a fic is worth reading has me so pissed off. someone put real time and energy into something they are SHARING WITH YOU FOR FREE on a site where you can quite literally filter and search by anything you want and you're STILL trying to find a foolproof method to find stuff that's "good enough to read"???
