we are literally watching the plots from so many romcoms… in the notebook noah claimed to have written allie every single day for a year after she asks why he never wrote to her… in so many romcoms there’s a segment where character A is calling character B and the phone goes straight to the answering machine or someone else answers and doesn’t relay the call to character B therefore character A thinking B doesn’t care about them and vice versa… i know for a fact i’ve seen movies where character A helps out the current boyfriend/girlfriend of character B with a gift because they want to character B to be happy and then it’s revealed that like character A was actually the mind behind this meaningful gift which makes character B look at them differently
