Yoga mats have become an increasingly popular exercise essential equipment, and with good reason. Not only does a yoga mat help to practice yoga properly it also helps in reducing injuries. However, as the popularity of yoga has grown, so too has the environmental impact of the equipment used during practice, including yoga mats.

The self-care 101

You've been trying to build a routine or have been trying to get back on track but just don't know where to start? lets me help you out <3
Step one Personal hygiene:
first up are a few things that you should do daily! <3
Brushing your teeth, flossing, and mouthwash twice a day.
Showering either in the morning or in the evening.
shaving and lotion if you feel like it (my fav)
skincare twice a day, in the morning and before going to bed.
Perfect! now at first, this may seem a bit overwhelming, especially if you struggle with depression, but sticking to this will already do a lot-
Simple skincare:
my last point was skincare, so I'll give you a little run-through on a simple and affordable routine; obviously, I can't promise that this will work for you, but we gotta start somewhere, right? :)
morning:
Dove beauty cream bar works really well for me (costs like 1 €).
Neutrogena hydro boost aqua cream as moisturizer (10 €).
Any SPF that works for you, I use the la Roche-posay one (15 €).
night:
Dove beauty cream bar.
The ordinary glycolic acid as a toner (10 €).
The ordinary Niacinemid + Zinc (7 €).
and the Neutrogena moisturizer again.
This should be a good start! :)
Step two healthy habits:
mental health plays a massive role in self-care, so I have listed a few things that might help you feel a little bit better; building actual habits takes time, though, so don't stress about it too much, and just try sticking to a few! :)
Eat breakfast.
Take vitamins in the morning (Vitamin D, Magnesium, Calcium, Zinc, Iron, Folate/Folic acid, and Vitamin B-12, to list a few)
go for a daily walk.
Do a youtube yoga or stretch video.
Listen to a positive playlist or podcast.
No technology for 30 minutes.
Read 10 pages of any book.
Study something you're interested in for 15 minutes.
Write down 3 positive affirmations.
Make a to-do list.
Try a new recipe each week.
Make a grocery list.
take your time and try being consistent; eventually, you will get to where you want to be; you can do it! <3

Happy new year loves!
Después de un año de profundidad, de indagación, de ir a dentro, y cada vez más adentro. Encontrar mi centro entre las nubes de mi conciencia esa luz de mi presencia Yo Soy que había estado siempre. El permitirme ser suave, y entregarme a lo que es en cada momento por más doloroso, por más incómodo, ir y atravesarlo de frente. Ese observar de cómo nos damos vueltas aveces cuando se nos presentan las pruebas, como nos permitimos engatusar por el ego, tratando de buscar la forma de evadir alguna parte que nos hace sentir lo suficientemente incómodos como para sacarnos de la falsas creencia de que todo el drama que he estado creando en mi cabeza realmente no existe, y que si me permito soltar las defensas puedo realmente observar los maravillosos maestros y maestras que me rodean en mi vida. Esos que a mi ego más le cuesta ver con inocencia, en esos momentos donde mas quiero cerrarme, respirar profundo y soltar las defensas, que se abra todo, que se rompa todo, que caigan todas las partes que han estado sosteniendo esta ilusión. Me permito ver la verdad. Honrar la dualidad de las energías trabajando en conjunto. Navegar en el amor y navegar en la sabiduría. Bendito equilibrio.
Fuerte 2023, uf te pasaste un poco jaja, me rompiste en mil pedazos y me enseñaste a volver a pegar las partes desde la luz de mi alma. Me enseñaste a dejarme caer, mostrándome como siempre estuve sostenía. Un año de retiro, de entrega, de servicio al reencontrarme con mi verdad.

what would you recommend for muscle regeneration? or just something you'd rec for a rest day? ngl I do have some issues finding nice activities that aren't too heavy for when my body is tired (then I end up sore for days on end).
stay hydrated, and have a nice day!! 💖
hi! i totally understand that, i don’t like doing activities that require a lot of strength during my rest days either. for movement, i do stretching or yoga. i highly recommend restorative or yin yoga if you want something to deeply stretch but that doesn’t require much movement or strength. stretching, along with the muscle strengthening we get with our workouts, has helped me a TON with body soreness. here are a few of my favorites for rest days:

* yoga with kassandra has a lot of great yin yoga practices if you decide that’s something that you like!
aside from movement, i also recommend nourishing your body with nutritious foods to help restore your muscles (don’t restrict or skimp on the protein just because it’s a rest day) and staying hydrated! i’ve also heard that the best way to restore muscles on your workout days is to eat something lighter before your workout and eat something high-protein afterwards (which i have done and absolutely have seen a difference). i hope this helps!

Things to do on a bad day

We all have bad days, and no matter what the cause is, I want you to know that your feeling and struggles are valid! Here are a few things that might help you get through those bad days a little easier <3
Do your skincare and maybe add a face mask.
Put your phone on "Do not disturb."
Eat something that makes you feel good.
Move your body, even if it's just a short walk or some stretching.
Wear a comfy outfit.
Write down your thoughts.
Try going to sleep early.
Browse on Pinterest and make a new board.
Take a long bath.
Buy yourself flowers :)
Make sure to drink a lot of water!!
Light a candle or use an essential oils diffuser.
Make yourself a tea or hot chocolate.
Eat some fruit.
Bake something like cookies or banana bread.
Give yourself time <3
