How and Why?

When Mihawk had gotten with you he knew you were... odd-

The opposite of him in every way. While his hands were for killing and takinf away- yours was for life and charity. The embodiment of a Innocent Saint in his eyes- that he had in some wait tainted said innocence with his nature and desire for you.

It was hard for a killing machine like himself to gave to curve said nature when you came along. You promoting mercy, second chances and guidance for others.

While this tested his patients- it wasn't the main thing- no no

It was the animals-

It was the God damn animals that seemed to follow you everywhere!

You hum while outside- Bunnies suddently appear to shit on his lawn.

You whistle happily while gardening birds from all walks of life appear to once again shit on everything.

Goddess have mercy if you sing cause the animal kingdom appears randomly.

If he took you with him say out to a light mission or just for a vacation, suddently you'd have half the God damn forest trailing behind you and he would have to sneak a quick blade to snag a few rabbits without you noticing for a nice dinner. In fear you'd cry in knowing your abilties were being used for Mihawk to hunt dinner.

However..

Non of this mattered since he loved you, he loved you more then he had words to express and you loved him just as much- So he was willing to turn a blind eye to this all. Till the day he couldn't.

It was suppose to be a relaxed day- get some nice food, some drinks and just lounge about. Mihawk was excited for this, he had been working hard and wanted some down time.. especially with you- Stepping into the livingroom ready to shower you in attention he froze.

"What the actual hell?-" Mihawk said way louder then he ment to and seeing you turn around quickly. There in the livingroom you were on your knees petting a fully grown fucking deer that was leaning into your touch.

"Hi honey!"

Mihawk is just standing there holding a wine glass in his open shirt and staring at you in what can only be described as total shock and you can practically see the vein in his forehead.

"(Y/N)' How the hell did you get a deer in the house- Wait deer at all there are non on the island?" He questioned as he downed the glass of wine like a shot and set it aside.

"I sang and she came here" You say with a shrug and continue to pet the wide eyed doe.

He huffed at this, rubbing his temple.

"I thought we agreed no animals in the house?.." He grumbled- Trying to mentally wrap his head around a doe in his livingroom.

"But she looked so cold and was by the front door Hawks! I couldnt just leave her there" You say poking out your bottom lip- Mihawk mentally sighs.

"That doesnt... No- No matter... saves me from going to the market for venison" He says calmly and reaches for his blade calmly.

Your eyes widening as you realize what he means and hug the deer close to you.

"No! Mihawk you cant kill her" You yell as tears well in your eyes.

"You have a fully grown Doe in our livingroom- no idea were she came from and a meat locker low on venison" He tried to reason by you sat there crying and Mihawk groaned-

"Then what is your plan with it hm?" He questioned. That was what lead him outside, carrying a squirming 120 pound doe to the stables he had long since forgotten about while you set down some old hay, cut apples and nuts for feed and he releases the kicking animal into its new space.

Mihawk sighed now looking at the once empty stables of the castle now housed a doe- A Sinking feeling that this stable was going to be getting fuller..

"You are lucky I love you-" He grumbled, Hearing you giggle and jump up to kiss his cheek.

"I love you too Mihawk. And I promise to make it up to you~" You say with a wink. Mihawk now remembering how and why he had forgiven all the times before.

okay oliver is clearly talking about bi buck and buck coming out to eddie and their friendship persevering but wtf is Ryan thinking about lol. He looks like he's like 5 seconds away from shouting buddie canon meanwhile Oliver is a lot more vague and up to interpretation.

Ryan is sooo giddy and happy and flushed. He wants to scream from the rooftops loll!! But I really think the thing Oliver is talking bout is bi!Buck and how it comes to light. I can totally see him initially coming to that realization but not telling Eddie or anyone about it yet. Then maybe just maybe he goes on a date with a man and Eddie just so happens to see him on said date. And maybe there’s some minor angst in 7.05 “You Don’t Know Me” because Eddie is hurt that his best friend is keeping this big part of himself from him. But also maybe another reason why he’s hurt is bc he’s feeling something inside that he can’t quite name yet. Maybe he did have his oh moment but knew he’s never gonna have a chance, so he moved on. Maybe he hasn’t yet and this is the thing that makes him question things about himself. Ryan mentioning that it’s something brand new for both of them makes me think he’s definitely gonna be questioning too and it’ll be simultaneous to Buck’s own questioning.

I read this and wonder if the vermin will notice that Jimin says him and JK, by themselves, alone were discussing and decided to go to Japan? Just them 2. No one else. No one cancelled for family reasons. No one else was supposed to be there. No one else was involved in the planning. This was a Jikook trip. Planned by Jikook for Jikook only. I wonder if they will notice this or they will just ignore like they ignore everything else? Oh well. I ain't holding my breath.

So new tiny details about the Tokyo trip, of course they ran it by bang pd who was concerned about it being a good idea. But I'm guessing Jikook insisted so bang organised security. Idk why but I liked this part. Just, knowing this makes me feel better. Idk why.

We were walking down the alley... there weren't many cars, there was light from the street lamps. It was really beautiful.

I'm sorry but I read that and totally knew they took advantage of the dark lighting and empty alley to make out. Sorry not sorry. 🤷🏽‍♀️ I don't see why walking down a dark alley would be this memorable otherwise 🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️

And then Jimin said his feet hurt and so we walked slowly. Those simple things were so fun.

I'm sorry, can we add this to the list of JK being whipped AF?? Like, I mean... we know his favourite part of the whole trip was Jimin on his phone and oversleeping. And now he recounts how Jimin's legs got tired and they had to slow down. Are you guys seeing this??? Like, how is this not a man in love? What kind of trivial detail is this to remember? Its like when they went to the Atomix and JK only remembers that day because Jimin did something and said "I'm sorry" like wtf even?? You don't remember tiny details about a person unless you care about them and love them so much that every little thing they do is endearing AF.

Guys. How many times do we think JK offered to carry Jimin coz his feet hurt? What are the chances he did carry Jimin but omitted it? 🤗🤗

Ryuji plans THE best dates. Just when you think you've done it all and gone everywhere with Ryuji, he WILL find someplace new to go and new things to do. He really likes experiencing things with you as to him nothing is more meaningful than time spent with you.

Totally the type of guy to be a very proud boyfriend. If people at the Omi Alliance asks where he's going that evening, he will proudly and probably way too loudly respond with "I am gonna get dinner with my wonderful partner!" with a huge grin on his face.

Speaking of dinner, going on dinner dates is his absolute favorite type of date. He's very attentive to what your favorite snacks, meals, and drinks are and commits it all to memory. Picks the most amazing restaurants for anniversaries and birthdays, always complete with a private table and a bottle of your favorite alcohol.

Says things like "Order whatever ya want, babe" or "I saw ya admiring this outfit the other day so I went ahead and bought it for ya. Hope I got the right size" as gift giving is absolutely his love language. He also likes shopping the most out of the boys and doesn't find it to be tedious at all. He loves seeing your face light up when you find something you like and since money is no object to him, he is more than happy to spoil you rotten.

As much as he loves giving you gifts, he also loves receiving them. There's no one on earth that's as appreciative of gifts as Ryuji. He'll always react to gifts from you by saying "Wow, for me? Really?" before wrapping you into a big bear hug. He's so used to thinking about other people that it really moves him when someone does the same for him.

He's got the softest spot for pets so don't ever ask him if he wants to go to a cat café because he will never say no. Animals also really like him, whenever he goes to a cat café, all the kittens pile into his lap. Dogs at the park happily lick his face when he tries to pet them. Totally the type of boyfriend to beg for the two of you to get a pet one day.

When it comes to physical affection, Ryuji isn't shy. He likes to walk around hand in hand or with his arm draped around your waist or around your shoulders. Pretty affectionate with kissing and does it often. He's lazy at cuddling though, he just sort of drapes his arm over you.

He's got a pretty average sex drive but his stamina is quite above average. Ryuji is a balanced sex partner, equally giving and receiving. Open to trying new things but tends to let you lead the way in that regard. If you express an interest in trying something out, he'll at least give it a shot.

Ryuji is rough during sex, mostly on accident. He just gets caught up in it and would not actually hurt you intentionally, unless you're into that. Has a bad habit of giving you a LOT of hickeys because he just gets overzealous during sex.

Fairly noisy during sex, although it's more of a grunting or rumbling sound than an outright moan. He likes it when you make a lot of noises though and he will totally tease you about it, so if you're into that, he's going to take advantage of that.

Good at aftercare. Will give you massages, get you tea, and check on you. One of his favorite things is taking a nice warm bubble bath with you. He can do this either sexually or romantically depending on you're both feeling. He just thinks it's a cute thing to do.

Be warned, this man snores quite a bit. Also, he has a bad habit of walking around his bedroom totally naked but if you ask, he'll throw a robe on.

I think we talked about this over on ao3 but honestly re2r's ada just doesn't make sense to me. The FBI cover is logical (when you first think about it), but the way she's immediately pulling a gun on Annette the minute they see her and DECLARING her intentions isn't. She then proceeds to reveal her target is Annette, and then her going with the FBI thing becomes less logical, bc why would Annette hand over the G-Virus sample to the feds, either? It's entirely a shock factor thing revolved around Leon, she's only fooling him -- or maybe, she's fooled Ben like this, too, and was forced to stick to her cover when shit went down, we don't know 😭 why did they do my girl ada like that... (ngl re4r ada supremacy. period.)

But either way, un-truths she would throw as a bone to a "civilian" like Leon would of course be caught by Vera, nugget by nugget, while still making her think "mayhaps the FBI is misinformed????" -- I didn't want to ruin that fine line by Ada going on about Annette making the virus and her being the most dangerous of all "g-virus g-virus g-virus" or whatever because 1) WHY WOULD A SPY DO THAT???? 2) it would surely make Vera go "yeah NOPE" 💀💀

I do mention it in the fic that Vera supplies information to Jill (as around that time she's trying to get rid of the weight of all she knows and trying to pass on the "hero's job" to someone else) and they exchange their findings while trying to be careful not to get caught by ppl Umbrella put on Jill's tail. I think I wrote it in passing that Vera was disguised as a secretary and sat back-to-back with Jill on a booth in one of those occasions? She's loosely connected to re3r by having a brief appearance in carlos' police station section in my head, entrusting Jill to him and all and promising to meet up with them in the station once she talks to her dad about it ☹

so are sam and dean gonna tell each other their little secrets now? no? course not. dumb plot shit is one thing but that is the kind of that more easily tips me over into losing interest. my patience is so very thin, it's a trope i hate and they use it SO. MUCH.

this whole kid thing and the evil lady thing reminds me of the incredibly forgettable eve storyline with a dash of lilith in a kid's body. and a smidge of the leviathans, crowley trying to lure her in with treats. better received than the muffin basket for dick.

My sudden urge to talk about 55 minutes light novel bcuz after finally getting the book and reading it makes me wanna eat a pillow and think again "wtf Asagari you brilliant bastard", like CAN WE GET A MOVIE OF IT???

(more rambling and spoilers vvv)

55 minutes is one of the longer light novels in the series, just a liiittle bit thicker than untold story which has a short story of a day before atsushi's entrance exam and the fukuzawa&ranpo backstory

for those who don't know what 55 minutes is about, in a nutshell; -ADA goes to an politically-neutral island to catch thieves -btw Akutagawa is there too -everything goes wrong -new characters introduced like Jules Verne and H.G.Wells and the title '55 minutes' comes from Wells' ability -atsushi trying: HIS BEST -also Dazai almost fcking dies but we love plot armor

anyway the reason i wanna scream about it now randomly is bcuz before reading the full story, i had totally different view of what the novel is about, THERES BARELY any translation online and i feel like bcuz of it a very few people actually had the opportunity to read it

'okay Mouse, so is it has any relevance to the main story-?' OHOHOH- it's more like ideas that we haven't seen in manga IN THEIR FULL POTENTIAL yet, but it was experimented on within the light novel, like FCKING TIME TRAVELING???? and you don't want me to talk about the science side of it (thank Wells for the 2-3 pages of science fun-facts dump)

speaking of things that the novel introduced to us are: -more lore of the war 13+ years ago -time traveling -a method to use Yosano's ability on Dazai: basically after heart stops, blood flow stops to brain and ability deactivates, so when restarting heart, there's a 0.5 second timeframe when Yosano can use her ability before brain registers wtf is going on -MORE ABILITIES AND THEIR FUNFACTS AWW YEAH I LOVE THOSE- im a sucker for abilities (not me having an BSD OC that can see abilities like they were ghosts hahah-)

this was actually the first time that the gang went outside Japan bcuz the island under Germany, France, and England 's governing territory(?), the the island itself is artificial that was made after the war

so wondering what the 'everything goes wrong' part is: it turns out, there's a BOMB on the island :) -the guy who hired ADA is killed, atsushi and akutagawa in running to get the bomb, but IT'S TOO LATE AND EVERYTHING AND EVERYONE WITHIN *checks book* 22 MILES RADIUS MELTS AWAY- -Wells appears (more like reveals herself....yeah Wells is a woman-) and yoinks Atsushi to an underground bunker but there's no time left and yeets back Atsushi's MEMORIES to 55 minutes before the disaster, btw she quickly explaines that the bomb that got activated is called 'Shell', an weapon created from Ability Singularity (basically mutation????), and her ability is time MANUPILATION, and also can send back people back in time but only once per person, and she can't use it on herself bcuz she already did it during the war, BUT bcuz the energy (insert a page long science explanation here) to send back a whole-ss person is too much, she can only send back memories back to past- -so atsushi goes back to time, but bcuz akutagawa was actually nearby when Wells' ability activated (she's using a camera, he literally fell onto them in the last second), he got his memories go back to time too -poor atsushi having internal breakdown wtf to do, but kunikida being an actual helping god and he, atsushi, and dazai think of a plan -turns out the bomb is protected underground and atsushi with the help of the thieves he befriended on the island, runs through the base -but everything goes wrong AGAIN bcuz akutagawa starts hunting atsushi after a misunderstanding, thinking that atsushi is the one who activated the bomb before.. :I damn bro -ATSUSHI IS SUFFERING SO MUCH????? HE GETS SHOT ON LUNG AND THROUGH OPEN MOUTH, AND GETTING HIS LEG STUCK (ALMOST SLICED OFF) ON CLOSED EMERGENY DOOR WITH EXPLICIT DESCRIPTION OF THE INJURY????? *sobbing* -somehow everything is solved with the power of dazai, and it seems ADA can go home BUT OH NOT SO FAST- so the culprit gets KILLED which meaaaans theres still a mastermind on the island -atsushi and dazai go invastigating and THIS IS WHEN DAZAI GETS STABBED :D ....BY JULES VERNE *flops to floor* -turns out the WHOLE ISLAND IS JULES' ABILITY: he has the ability to absorb the abilities of dead skill users within the island (so we got Shibusawa 2.0) Wells saves Atsushi and half-dead Dazai and uses her ability to slow down time so they bleed out slower atsushi and akutagawa go fight Verne, but they get overpowered and poor atsushi gets absorbed????????? kinda??? -AND WE GET JULES VERNE'S BACKSTORY :D he was a little child during war and joined an organization called Seven Traitors, and with the help of his ability 'the mysterious island', they kidnapped politicians to force them to peace treaty??? the island stayed and he spend the rest of his time on it in peace until Wells appeared on the island, killed her and stole her ability, and went back to time he did it so many times that the ability basically became a independent being?? and realized that he has to kill Wells every time before the 'future' happens or he disappears bcuz he doesn't exist in the future anymore the real Jules Verne is more like just an consciousness at this point -we get the big atsushi-akutagawa VS fake Jules fight, and atsushi wins oh wao -aaaaaaand now that Jules uhh doesn't exist anymore, the island is disappearing too :> -book ends with ADA back in Yokohama, Ranpo wanna go to beach but everyone is fcking tired of ocean, Dazai having Oda flashbacks, and atsushi meeting Wells once again before Wells mysteriously disappearing and atsushi questioning his sanity if she ever existed :) -oh right, Wells is the one who made the bomb during war time, knows how fcked up it is, and she's basically batman but government treats her as a terrorist bcuz why wouldn't be so sus when she's right there before at every natural disasters-

i actually didn't notice it until i went to wikia but apparently the dude who got killed before the jules verne reveal was a port mafia executive?????????? i might actually need to re-read the light novel bcuz i didn't notice mentioning it

little bit sad that many characters' uhh characterization is pretty ehh at some point, like akutagawa going full 'f-ck man-tiger' mode in the 98% of the story, rest of the ada except atsushi,dazai, and kunikida are just not... there, HOWEVER the side/novel characters are FCKING AMAZING, i want more Wells pls also Higuchi has like 3 short scenes and she slays them all, drinking down guards to get to security room, then being all cute and happy when akutagawa says 'good job' 🥺 akutagawa has moments when he's not 'f-ck man-tiger' mode when he yells 'higuchi where are you??' ,and tells a short poem as he evaporates into atoms

So I come with a new canon incest recommendation! :D

IDK how this tumblr feels about straight-male-directed dating sims (personally I actually really love them?? :') Or at least the moe anime ones haha!) but I've been really impressed with this one so far and I think it'd appeal to at least some of your followers!

The VN is called Sankaku Ren'ai: Love Triangle Trouble, and it's fundamentally about a group of anime/game otaku who go to high school together, but with the twist that the romantic cast is split into two sets of love triangles: one between the main character's childhood best friend and a new girl, and another between the MC's step-sister and blood-related sister.

The story is that the MC's parents divorced while he and his little sister (Suzu) were young, and they were separated to each live with one parent, never seeing each other. In the meantime, the MC's dad remarried another woman with a daughter, thus the step-sister. But recently the biological mother died, so now the blood-related sister has come back to live with her estranged brother and father.

The VN actually goes into a lot of detail about the awkwardness and difficulty of the entire situation, with the new sisters having to adapt to living together (but they do fundamentally get along!), and the MC and sister reconfiguring how they relate to one another now that they're no longer children!

Also, a lot of VNs with blood-related heroines just sorta... side-step the whole incest taboo thing by having everyone around be totally okay with it? (Which is fine but not really my style.) But this one actually does a surprisingly good job juggling the real drama of the situation with the basically light-hearted and comedic feel of the story overall! Like, when the step-sister finds out that Suzu has romantic feelings for her brother, she doesn't react super badly or whatever, but she doesn't know what to say!!! She's just like 'wtf I'm a weeb with 0 romantic experience. what am I even supposed to say because. um this is. like legit incest here right???' and it's just. quiet and uncomfortable and weird but she still cares about her and ahh it's just the right amount of angst for me haha??

Also Suzu is just!!! so so cute with how much she loves and admires her niisan!!! And the whole story has revealed to me how much I love a particular dynamic haha, where the younger one is sorta trying to make legit romantic overtures subtly but the older one is Convinced that they're imagining it and making things so Weird with their Gross Attraction but they also can't deny anything their little sib asks for~~~ <3

If you don't want to buy the whole VN, VGVNGamer is doing a (almost commentary-less) readthrough of it on youtube!

So yeah IDK if this'll appeal to anyone else haha, but I'm really enjoying it so I hope at least one other person can, too! :)

in honor of totk NOT winning goty 🫡 here is my notes app from when totk first came out and I wrote all my thoughts abt the game down

today totk got released!! and I played for 8 hours straight 😭 I'm not suuper far in the game yet, I sort of just started the rito quest with tulin, but here are some things I love and dislike about the game so far:

first of all I love the archaic outfit 😊 however I'm very sad that it only does 1 protection because I wanted to wear it all the time AJDBAJDB

I love everything about the zonai, like the way they look, the music associated with them, the way they talk at the end of a shrine, the way you can tell something is of zonai make just by looking at it, like that's how you know a concept design is well done ✋ I'm so fascinated by how rauru looks, he's just so amazing

I do hate how extremely similar aspects of the great sky island are to the great plateau, though. "room of awakening" bro r u serious rn 😭 the way rauru follows you around like the king good bye. I just feel like this could have been done a little more uniquely so that it didn't feel like the great plateau with a texture pack slapped over it

there's also some things that I felt botw just did so much better than totk. like the way rauru's ghost would disappear felt very cheap and uneventful, like why does he just fade to 0 opacity and nothing else happens ?? at least with the king his ghost faded with the little blue flames and sparkles, it made it seem more interesting

I hate the inventory layout I'm sawryy 😭 the botw inventory looks very sleek and easy to comprehend, but the way the totk inventory is designed just feels very cheap and elementary to me. not the scrolling on one page instead of having multiple pages, that's not my issue. just the color design and how so much more information is crowded into each tiny box when you are selling things, it just confuses the player with too much info

uhh what else. oh! I also hate the animation for when you get the abilities at the beginning, and when you get those lights of blessing or whatever (honestly I hate that name too, why is it so long I literally can't remember it 😭). like why do the orbs with the abilities and blessings look so 2d and unfinished? they look like they were slapped on top as a fanmade effect rather than actually being a part of the game, and every time I see it, I feel removed from being immersed in the games because it's distracting

but I totally love the way the zonai statues are at the end of the shrines!!! the way they talk is SO 🙏🙏 like I'm totally obsessed with it. also!! this is very specific, but I love the music that plays during shrine battles, like why does that song go so hard fr

omg something else I love is the pony points system it's so cute 😭✋ and honestly it's a great incentive for me to use the stables, I don't think I used them that much in botw so I definitely appreciate this new addition

AND MY HORSES ARE HERE TOO IM SO HAPPY 🥺🥺

however I am devastated that we can't pet dogs ☹️ like was no one at nintendo listening to us when we were all asking abt it hello ??

this is more of a personal preference rather than a game quality thing but I AM SO HAPPY THERE'S PIRATES IN THIS GAME AAAAAAA i can't wait to go to lurelin village I rlly hope they let me join the pirates 🙏 (hi it's me from the future here, girl wtf why are the pirates literally just MONSTERS ON BOATS 🙁 give me real fucking pirates you cowards)

omg yeah I was obsessed with the frozen rito village ost, it had the core elements of the ost from botw but with that lonely haunted vibe and I was gonna cry omg it really set the mood and I loved listening to it 😭

ohh yeah something I didn't enjoy was how it felt like I was being overloaded with so much plot-heavy info, especially once I started the rito village quest. like yeah I get maybe playing for 8 hours in one day is probably gonna fry my brain and attention span but it just felt like they were telling me to do all these things and I just felt so overwhelmed that I literally had to put the game away and stop playing for the night 😭 I think if things were spaced out more for what they tell you then the plot might have been more digestible

oh yeah this is minor but I don't like how when you go to a new place it says "discovery!" and also when you cook a new food it says "new!" like it felt very commercial and broke the immersion in the game for me, there was literally no reason for it to be in the game? (upon playing the game further I've decided I don't mind the "discovery" notif. but I still don't like when it says "new!" on a food I cooked sorryyy)

OMG WAIT SOMETHING I LOVED was how link cycles through humming different things when he cooks!!! it's so cute and I love him for it 😭

also I loved the function of when you open a chest and get a weapon but your inventory is full, instead of having to close the chest drop a weapon and reopen the chest, they added the feature where your inventory pops up and you can drop a weapon while still in the chest so you don't have to switch back and forth. it was so relieving for me ✋

umm I definitely feel like there was more I wanted to say, I just forgot 😭 but let me just say, despite me having a lot of negatives on here, I still really enjoyed this game, and honestly aside from the things I mentioned I disliked, I love pretty much everything else about the game!! there's so much to love and appreciate, I really can't list it all or else I'd just be listing literally every aspect about this game ajdhskfj. so yeah. while I'm disappointed that I found parts of totk to be lesser than what I had hoped, I am still overall ecstatic about this game and I'm so excited to see what else I'll discover in this game!!!! (hey it's me as of writing this post, I definitely wrote this last paragraph to avoid getting bullied for not liking a lot of things LOLL)

hey I'm back (not as of writing this post, like a couple months after initially starting totk), listen ok I hate these stupid sage powers like 💀 they're literally not useful at all, I think tulin's is the only one I use regularly, and even then I'd rather have revali's gale bc at least it goes up ??

I've been watching other ppl play and I realize that actually yunobo and riju can kinda be useful when fighting large groups, like if you just activate yunobi's ability you don't really need to aim him, and he'll hit a bunch of monsters. same with riju, just activate her and shoot somewhere random and it'll do damage. but other than that, like sidon and mineru are useless 😭 also I get rlly annoyed when I'm trying to pick things up and tulin gets in the way like GIRL GO AWAY ugh it would just be so much better if the abilities were activated like the champions instead idk

ok I'm obsessed with the way rauru's ear twitches LOLL THAT'S SO RANDOM but in the memories it's just so satisfying to see

hm idk how to explain this but there's some aspects of this game that feel very aoc to me and it annoys me. like, the defend kara kara bazaar + gerudo village quests, and that one thing in hateno with the stupid pumpkins, idk but it totally threw me off guard with having to fight with npcs, like it felt very jarring to have in the middle of totk. i never liked aoc or any hyrule warriors games so that's probably why I don't like this very much, but yeah I just didn't enjoy it very much

god I can't describe how much I hate everything abt mineru I'm sorry I just hate her bc like,, bro I hate to say it but I never connected with her character at all. every part of her in the storyline felt forced, and her connection to zelda and the sages never felt authentic. also I hate the eng voice acting like why does she talk like that 😭

her talking about draconification felt sooo forced. she said "there are stories of eating the stone to turn into an immortal dragon" like that could be a solution, then when rauru asked if they could do that, she was like "however 🤓☝️ you'll lose your sense of self and it's forbidden. I thought this would give us an answer but maybe not 😞" like BITCH IF YOU KNEW IT WAS FORBIDDEN WHY WOULD YOU SAY ANYTHING 😭😭 the way she said it, it sounded like she was reading a book and learning this information as they went, which would make sense why she brought it up but turns out it won't work. BUT SHE KNEW THE FULL THING ALREADY WHY DID SHE SAY IT LIKE THAT???? god it annoyed me so much, it was such a bad foreshadowing plot point

and honestly her entire quest confused me, bc the whole first part has a very thunder/lightning theme so I thought her power would be related to that but it wasn't at all? like how come we didn't do anything spirit related meanwhile all the other sages had areas that related to their powers, ugh it felt so dumb. lightning is already heavily associated with riju + the gerudo, so it felt weird that they themed the whole first half of mineru's quest around it too.

I hate her stupid construct. IT'S SO LAME 😭 has anyone actually enjoyed fighting with it. has it actually benefitted anyone. like be so fr rn. I hated it so much that I built a freaking airbike and just flew to the final temple without fighting any of the stuff along the way bc I refuse to be forced to do things I don't like 🫶

and then at the end of the game when her spirit leaves her construct and she dies or whatever, I was just like 😐 they tried to make it emotional but literally mineru is my worst enemy and I was cheering and applauding atp. like I could care less. her character felt, idk how to describe it, like.. cringy and self-inserty? something about it felt very off to me and so I was just never able to like her. it felt like nintendo was trying to force me to like her and I was Not about to let that happen

hang on I have other things to complain about... oh yeah the STABLE TROTTER CONDUCTOR LIKE BRO 😭😭😭 why does he sound like mario, like I actually want to punch him in the face. the rest of the band is fine tho, I like their music 🤞

hm something I'm annoyed about is how much harder it is to find the dragons now. in botw their flight pattern was more predictable, but here like istg I can never find them when I need them 😭 it's just vv inconvenient

ok I'm back back. I think that about covered all my thoughts BUT one more thing. the map is so fucking cluttered. something that was done so well with botw was the openness of everything, it really fit the vibes and it immersed you in the expanse of the game. but the totk map was WAYY too busy 😭😭 not only with the purah pad map (which btw I still think sheikah slate is a better name) but just in general when you're walking around hyrule. there is Too Much going on and I don't like it

LAST THING although tbh this could be a whole separate rant. the way the purah pad is compatible with zonai technology makes no fucking sense???? like there is NO logical explanation for how it can mark waypoints at zonai shrines

in botw it made sense, because the shrines were sheikah-made and so was the slate, so ofc the sheikah would have built them to be compatible and programmable with one another. but the zonai shrines??? first of all they're just rocks on sand. no sort of technology the purah pad can latch onto. second, you activate the shrine with the ZONAI ARM, not the purah pad. literally no connection is made. this is such a small thing to fixate on but every time I think about it I am filled with inexplicable rage

I have a whole OTHER rant on why the sheikah tech disappearing makes literally No Sense but. this post is long enough as it is. if u want I can make a separate post but I think this is good enough for now 🤗

okay, so let me see if i got this right (very long synopsis of everyone's current state in jjk in no chronological order, MAD SPOILERS OBVIOUSLY):

-> initial rules the gang is trying to make happen in the culling game, for reference. 2 has already been completed. 3 is now able to be done w/out the rule (not implement by maki zenin), find out more about that later. 4 still imperatively needs to happen

megumi, itadori, and co have found the angel who can remove cursed techniques. she's the same deal as sukuna where there's thing thing residing in her (a species called "God".) the angel agrees to unseal gojo in exchange for the gang helping her destroy the cursed spirit known as "the fallen." the fallen is sukuna, aka itadori. kill itadori and sukuna = free gojo

itadori is totally chill with this plan and as soon as all the rules they are trying to implement in the culling game (to save megumi's sister and other citizens) have been passed is totally willing to kill himself to unseal gojo bc he's self-sacrificing like that. the angel DOES NOT know he is sukuna yet. itadori is keeping that a secret for now

megumi is NOT chill with this plan bc he explicitly does not want itadori to die and that has been established as a primary motive for him for the past oh, i don't know, 209 chapters.

the gang (not just itadori megumi and co, the gang scattered all across the centers collectively) has enough points (400+) to implement all their rules

megumi knows itadori will absolutely take the big sleep if given the opportunity, it is assumed he's going to try and prevent that

tengen IS EVOLVING. kenjaku did his whole crazy fight thing with choso and tsukumo and came out on top, just barely. mofo managed to escape a black hole. kenjaku managed to get into the star mergy chamber thing where real tengen resides to force tengen to evolve into something less sorcerer and more cursed spirit. he did this to aid his plan to make a lot of non-sorcerers cursed spirits instead so he can create some machiavellian cthulu like terror shit by merging tengen w all these cursed spirits

tsukumo's cursed technique, mass, is revealed. she dies trying to defeat kenjaku (also becomes black hole temporarily)

kenjaku confirms itadori's mother was a sorcerer with an anti-gravity jujutsu technique.

choso is dead (????)

kenjaku geto itadori's mom og kamo noritoshi weirdo thing has involved the united states military in this whole ordeal by revealing the world of cursed spirits to the president. the us military take this as tengen doing them and the world a favor by presenting them a clean, renewable energy source through jujutsu sorcerers, who are by majaority japanese. the us is racist and corrupt and decides to kidnap japanese people who have cursed energy to expirement on. they willingly enter the culling game centers to do so.

the latest chapter (i can find at least), 209, ends with megumi itadori and co running into the us military and megumi realizing they are NOT here to save citizens. megumi wants to know wtf is up

relating back to the last point, tengen is actually using the culling game and exploiting these us military people to speed up the culling game's progress, creating a manifest of cursed energy powerful enough to create machiavellian tengen cthulu like thing as previously mentioned. not clear on how the military is doing that or helping tengen's plan at all but tengen used that same logic of concentrated cursed energy to incentivize them to start kidnapping sorcerers.

hakari and panda team up with lighting boy (hajime koshimo, a reincarnation) and manga boy (charles bernard) after hakari manages to absolutely decimate them both in fights using his weird manga lottery technique (don't even ask.) HAJIME KOSHIMO ALSO WANTS TO KILL SUKUNA. this group of individuals is off to do that, ig??? panda and hakari still have allegiance to the itadori megumi and co tho

note that both the angel and hajime koshimo want sukuna dead.

maki embraces her new toji lifestyle, her and noritoshi (present day, cool noritoshi yk the one that wants to be the kamo head whatever with the blood technique, NOT kenjaku) team up. they fight the cursed spirit version of naoya zenin bc maki's mom killed him without using cursed energy. APPARENTLY the rules in jjk is that you should always kill a jujutso sorcerer w cursed energy otherwise they will def come back as a disgusting looking cursed sprit

maki and noritoshi (who got a hairstle upgrade btw) run into sword guy and sumo guy who help them defeat naoya. their names are atsuya kusakabe and rokujushi miyo, respectively.

maki, now with a physicality equivalent to that of toji fushiguro, can enter and exit culling game borders willingly, removing the need for that rule to happen before the gang can rescue megumi's sis and save the world and stuff. witch girl from tokyo school knows that, somehow? her names momo nishimiya. she tells hakari this information, but megumi itadori and co does not know yet as of chapter 209

this group of cavaliers is off to regroup w the rest of the bros, i'm pretty sure

yuuta went off and proved his mettle in sendai city against the 4 pillars (reincarnated cursed spirits and sorcerers) that had the most points in the culling center. he gained 200 points with that whole ordeal, and is now off to regroup with the others i think. he left 2 pillars alive, sky girl and cannon dude.

yuuta's in it to kill kenjaku b4 gojo gets unsealed so he doesn't have to put his teacher through the pain of killing his best friend again

Okay, I made the step and watched the nickelodeon Winx Special. And OMG it’s so bad lmao. But today I am not alone reviewing – my best friend H-chan succored me and I swear, her comments are comedy gold. Son of Neptune. First reading thoughts:

— Ok, I actually read this two months ago, but forgot to post it, so this is a short review, beacuse my thoughts are a little scrambled now.

—Let me tell you, when I got on the "Heroes Of Olympus" ride, I thought it would be a diferent story, with totally diferent characters and I was on board with it.

I went expecting AT MAX a cameo from Percy. Imagine my excitement when I saw "Percy" written in the firts chapter.

—I really missed Percy guys.

—And I really hate Juno

— I adored Hazel and Frank, I'm loving how unique and intereresting all the new characters are.

—My poor Hazel, like are we gonna talk about how she DIED?? In a horrible way??. She was dead for YEARS. And the whole thing with her mother losing her mind and the cursed stones, and all that wtf.

And she is super little too, she is like what, thirteen?? She is still a kid, most of the others are borderline teenagers by now (wicj is still horrible, but like??). She even has like, trauma black outs. Poor girl, I dont think we focused enought on how messed up everything she went through was.

— Also her powers are really cool. Like her power controling gems?? Earthbenders who???

—Frank was amazing too, I kind of guessed his father was Mars, and I love the contrast beacause Frank is adorable.

—All the buildup to his special power being turning into animals was AMAZING. That power is so incredible, I was so excited when the reveal happened.

—I love Percy so much. He takes ONE look at the god of war and is like "I may not remember anything, but I remember you're a bitch."

—Reading Mars claime Frank felt like watching that one kid's dad who was way too intense with anything regarding his child, and would passive-agressively fight with the teachers during school making it akward to anyone because nobody could tell if he did all that for his kid or for himself.

—The only thing Percy remembers is Annabeth HOW ADORABLE IS THAT

—Reyna was cool too, I thought she was a very fun and cool character, I hope we see more of her.

—Octavious was annoying af. He tried to be creepy but I know who you are sir, and what you are is cringe.

— You are telling that, while Groover was traumatized in The Lighting Thief because he had seen so many demigod kids at Camp Half-Blood die before they turned into teenagers, the vast majority of the demigods in Camp Jupiter were just... fine? Thriving? Living their lives?

—Not Nico pleading insanity the second he sees Percy and lying to his face. MY BOY WHAT ARE YOU DOING.

—The whole book it was hurting me that Percy didn't remember anyone or any past adventures.

—Loved Ella, such a fun character.

—AMAZON, is from the AMAZONS?? I... sure why not

—I was not expecting the circe island adventure to come back in any way, ever. It was pretty interesting to see that conflict with Percy, Reyna and her sister.

—Mars gave Frank... a zombie. Yeah, alright.

—It was so cool to see Thatanos, I was excited the whole book and it did not disapoint. I loved how he is potrayed, that aura, his beauty .

—AHA! THEY MENTIONED EROS (or cupid, whatever). SO YOU DO KNOW HE EXISTS, RIORDAN.

—"Death has more in common with love that you might imagine" Oh yes, give that methaphoric stoytelling to me.

—It actually caught me by surprise that death was a recurring theme on this book. Hazel and Frank coming to therms with their experience with mortality, the exploration of grieve, the almost philosophical discussions abut it (some even coming from Mars, wich has even more meaning) On top of the whole mission being to free the literal Death.

It was fascinating to explore characters with these themes, and it made a lot of the scenes between Percy, Frank and Hazel very touching.

—All the final battles were amazing, I enjoyed them a lot.

—Oh right, and Tyson was here! I loved to see him again.

—Okay the thing about Leo looking like Sammy is making my head hurt. Is it goint to turn out he is like his grandson or something?

—The way I screamed when the book ended. JUST WHEN THEY ARE ABOUT TO REUNITE.

—Ok, I've restrained myself from reading the next book for long enough, I'll go read it now.

Now I'm just imagining Emmet trying to coax Clamberclaw to keep moving. They're tired and hurt! They want to stay in the dark subway tunnels! But they trudge after him anyway, because it's Emmet, of course they're going to follow him. And then they get outside, but to avoid most people they have to go the long way around, and they just keep sitting down. And even though he feels really bad about having to keep pushing them onward, it's not like Emmet could pick them up and carry them for long. Maybe haxorus could, or possibly gabodor though those arms look kinda flimsy, and either way it'd be pretty awkward.

Okay wait, I got it. Emmet manages to get them outside slowly but without too much difficulty or people seeing, but they're too tired to keep going so he gets haxorus to pick them up then drapes his coat over them. Helps block out bad sounds and smells and dims the light, plus it keeps them hidden so he doesn't have to worry so much about the wrong person seeing them.

A surprisingly easy win as long as he focuses on the task at hand and not on anything that might induce a breakdown. When he finally does get that well deserved breakdown, I assume that Clamberclaw just drags him into their new nest. Cuddle time with the unsettling sphinx-looking thing that is actually your brother as your brain imagines all sorts of horrible things!

ALTERNATE option: have chandelure psychic-levitate them along! you can't tell me that isn't something ingo trained it to do. AND psychic would probably be another good comforting thing: it's like a light pressure stim + the psychic energy probably filters out a lot of sensation from outside. add that to being wrapped up in emmet's coat (the one he's been wearing, even, it's warm and it smells like him and it's good-) and they're just totally calm now as he brings them home.

and then yesss it is nest time. the whole time while emmet's figuring out WTF Is Happening clamberclaw (once they're vaguely awake) is just steadily accumulating Soft Things from around the house to pile up on ingo's bed. blankets, pillows, couch cushions, sweaters, they are making the Biggest Coziest Nest Imaginable. now the only thing missing is nestmates to cuddle with!

alternately clamberclaw refuses to move from the safe place so it's ingo/emmet's pokemon who go around collecting things. cause this is the one thing they actually understand and can help with! this is all very confusing but weird... strong... monster... trainer... thing is tired and scared and wants a nest. this they understand. and emmet's Busy so they will handle it! they know their way around the house, anyway! (emmet comes back to find his bed has been stripped down to the mattress)

ahh solovers who were there around the time of launch for obey me (or at least, were there when season 1 was the only season) seem to also have had a knack for satan it seems~ me too! the very first posts i made on obm tumblr were analyses on what we knew about satan. how his unicorn symbol on the RAD council room banner might represent the loss of purity through the consumption of knowledge in the garden of eden; how he may feel less real than his brothers due to his birth being inherently tied to their loss of purity, being born of ever-growing hatred and misplaced “righteousness”.

pretttyyy sure solovers may have a thing for bringing justice to those who cannot speak for themselves, but enough about satan...

when season 2 rolled around and solomon showed us the dagger in the very first chapter i was begging for it to be for diavolo </3 now that i have a broader picture of diavolo as a person, i no longer harbor hatred for him, but i am still a bit wary. he hasn't had the chance to properly interact or connect, but no one seems to hold him accountable for the things that he's done wrong. i can also blame that on the poor writing from the devs, though—unless he's purposefully machiavellian underneath his lightheartedness... which he is, imo. he's lovely in all of his rightful glory but a lot of the things he's done don't sit right with me. curse that angel event that traumatized everyone once it came out like wtf sjdbksjw, good food tho! it just makes me think back to lucifer's chapter A ur devilgram where diavolo actually sounds fairly reasonable with his views. similar situation as satan before the devs changed...him...all for the fandom at the time :((

you're right, though! barbatos is someone who will turn his head away and choose to not speak with you, and we've seen how sharp-tongued simeon can get. solomon hasn't shown an ounce of bitterness towards anyone, if i recall correctly--even demons. he holds a reasonable perspective on them, and doesn't really force mc into that perspective, either. he only tells them what he believes and nothing more.

seeing so many mischaracterized posts of him makes me go [enter infinite negative keysmash here], but then i remember that i can just create my own fanfic & art content whether it be for the fandom or for my mc's lore, huhu

on another note, do you remember when the first april fools rolled around and everyone unanimously agreed that satan was the cause of all of the apps and profile pictures turning into cats? or how solomon didn't get a birthday event due to the then undateables turning into nowdateables a few days prior, but he still had his woeful birthday dialogue? good times... (╥﹏╥)

also!! never apologize for writing too much because i'm someone who has too much writer's brainrot for both the media I'm into and oc lore (whether it be my own or someone else's), so i totally get the “i want to say everything that i could possibly talk about in 6 hours and condense it into bite-sizes portions so i won't scare my new friends away” phase ♡ because me too tbh

Ooh, that's interesting! My reason for liking Satan back then was a lot more shallow--he just looked like my ultimate favourite character in one of my favourite franchises: Proto Arthur from the Fate series. I had a phase when I was really into Fate and the Arthurian legend, and Satan just managed to stay my favourite for a while because we share a lot of similarities and hobbies (reading books, liking cats, being obsessed with puns etc haha). He isn't my favourite now, of course. But I still really like him as a character. I really love the lore about him being a part of Lucifer gaining his own individuality, and his parallels with Arthur where he's insecure about being "boring", similar to how some Fate fans who did not read the light novel series and played the Prototype games assumed Arthur is just some "pretty boy with a boring personality".

(spoilers for Obey Me main story and devilgrams under the cut)

I am still quite baffled about that too, though I like everyone in the Obey Me cast now. I did notice Diavolo's machinations are not really seen negatively in the fandom, along with some inconsistencies with his character--one of the more recent events where the cast grew animal ears when they lie being one of them. I vaguely recall Diavolo saying that he hated lying and never lied, so I just found that weird because that isn't true at all. And the term "hating lying" is just really vague. Either way, I think one of the reasons why the fandom is a lot more forgiving with his schemes is because he left a favourable impression at the start. Solomon and how he was introduced wasn't the same.

Personally, I like how nuanced each of the cast is. The examples you described are actually the reasons why I think I personally like them, or perhaps why a lot of their fans like them as well. I love the OM cast because they're neither good or bad people. They're just people--they make mistakes. They're not perfect, they hurt each other etc. That applies to Solomon as well. What I don't like is how unforgiving the fandom is to Solomon's own nuance when all the other characters are also purposely morally grey. They always assume the worst of him when there's so much evidence that suggests he isn't a bad person. Questionable actions and decisions? Maybe. But all of the cast (except Luke perhaps) were the same.

I believe Solomon had been distrustful of demons before the MC changed his perspective. In hard mode, I recalled he made a pact with Asmodeus because he found out he was Lucifer's brother. There's also an official chart that the official OM social media posted where it showed how the cast members think of each other and Solomon's chart labelled all the demons as "toys". I don't think that applies now, but I am assuming OM didn't know what to do with Solomon and fumbled on his characterisation, hence there's so much inconsistencies about him. I feel like he was meant to be "seemingly questionable but misunderstood" and he had always been planned to be romanceable at some point (I mean...he's always been looking after the MC since the earlier main story), and they might have planned to give an explanation on why he acted the way he acted from the start, but by the time he was romanceable, it was too late. The fandom already formed impressions of him (of the unfavourable kind) and they started doubling down...with ambivalent results.

HAHAHA imagine trying to hide your love for Solomon for years. Couldn't be me. c': Back then, it was harder to defend him because everyone unanimously agreed he's "shady". I'm glad he's getting more appreciation now.

Haha! I was actually so sad he didn't get a birthday event when he became romanceable. I was sad for a while and got even sadder he was barely present in events. So when the circus event dropped, I swiped my card hard and ranked xD. It was a crazy time haha. I'm still mad I held back and didn't get his top-up card before. I'm curious what the "You are Evil" devilgram is about. I'm assuming DnD, which I have no clue about.

EDIT: I forgot to mention I agree that the potential for a deeper plot in the Chapter A devilgrams was an opportunity lost. Belphie's Hide and Seek was one of my personal favourites. I believe the only chapter A UR I'm missing is Luke's.

Dear Diary,

Got new tires... called my supposedly soulmate... to put them on. Nothing.. thats ok walmart is cheaper and the inspection station is right there. Time to bite the bullet! My blow out... wasn't really a blow out. The tread peeled off... slapped my tail light and cracked it. Wtf right. Hopefully it passes. Now! Its been very quiet. Once was like living next to a wawa packing lot. People going to the shop.. pow wows. I havnt seen his nephew since I heard yelling.. the ex was at the shop when he stopped in. He use to be there like 3 days a week maybe. This all seemed to start.. when my supposedly soulmate and his ex started secret rendezvous. Since that started up. She's been down there everyday for hours. And he has stopped at her house. And things travel real fast around these parts. He lost his family and customers because of her. He is probably telling everyone they're friends with benefits 🤑. To me its a fucking betrayal. B E T R A Y A L! He would be lying. Because thats not what I see. I see betrayal going on. I went down there for tires. She ran down after I left.. she was there 3 hours. Before they started screwing around. No more then a half. She waits until his assistant leaves jumps in car runs down there. She was there when he was there. Then started doing it after he left. I was there Thursday.. Friday evening she ran down there. I heard some yelling. Her pulling her car here then over there. Backed in got out. Went back in the shop. 5 mins later she left. Struck me hassle at the castle. He stopped at her house on his way out. Idk what or even she came out. This morning notice the dog hasn't been taking out. Sign they aren't talking.. he suppose to be fishing on the weekend. They rendezvous at the boat. I'm assuming so his family don't see her car out front. She leaves Saturday night comes home Sunday. Started since his boat went in. He is down at the shop.. I basically know why the universe hasn't set me up with him. The more I get to know him the more info I'm getting on him. The more I don't think.. jus put it this way... he is definitely pussy whipped by her. I'm not stuck up. But if I was a guy. I wouldn't fuck her with Joe Biden dick. Why I'm being treated like the red headed step child is beyond me. I'm a customer. Shes not only unattractive but she's a grandiose narcissist. And its all about her. And jus the look on her face when things aren't going her way. I'm starting to think. Shes telling him not to service my car anymore. And he can't tell me that because I will fucking loose it on her and him. He knows it. Him for being stupid and going back with her and her because she is in my business. That will be the straw that broke the camels back it makes sense. Or she's really mentally disturb. I'm thankful I learned all this because I'm totally turned off. I'm jus addicted to the soap opera going on here. Tune into the next episode of Loose Cannon Range lane.
