here's the thing - youth washes over you in waves. this one brought fish-nets full of legs. brought salty kisses with no sunny greetings, no see you soon postcard with a smiling face. clouds were too persistent that day. today. the wave brought bodies, shiny with the sea falling from the sky. they're struggling on the surface of reality afraid of either end. smoke adds more smaller clouds, I lose track of the faces again. until someone coughs and the rest laugh. that's how I know it's fine. those people like to play forever young on their phones and that's how I know they like being lied to. each wave is getting us closer to the coast we've been avoiding for years. so I keep on fishing those fragments out like the memories of ancient greece - they've been holding their breath for two thousand years; diving champion heroes, arms, amphoras. diving champion junkies, headaches, bottles.

that is sunlight, whispers the wind

the curtains sway with a woosh, to the left and to the right

i reach out for the sun to try and contain it in my hands

but ethereal beings cannot be held

when the wind brings me the night i peer up at the moon

i study the way the moon brings a creamy haze to the world

cold coffee drips from my finger tips and the roof of my mouth hums for me

when the sun comes again this time the rain has brought it

the water falls around me and raindrops close enough whisper secrets into my ears that i will never forget

that night the moon brings thunderstorms and the drumming of thunder tells me everything ive ever wanted to know

the sun and the moon keep chasing eachother through the sky while the weather it brings tell me the secrets of existence

when the sun comes again, i try to grab it

and i do

it burns my hand but not painfully so

i hold the light in my soul and whisper it the secrets the rain and the thunder and the wind and the lightning told me

the clouds attach to my feet and the wind contructs me a bag of secrets to carry

that night the moon gives me millions of little messages for the sun, stars in the day time

i am the message man

Are you reading any books currently ?

as a writer and person who is a self-proclaimed bookworm I wish I could say yes but sadly I am not bc I never have time to go the library! it’s tragic, really. the last one I read was The Cursed Child and it was not as bad as everyone makes it out to be? but it also wasn’t great lol. I mostly just read stuff on wattpad and tumblr! (if anyone has a wattpad feel free to message me your book and I will check it out)

hello i need opinions

hi! so in case u guys didn't kno i write a lot (check me out @worldsinmywords but that's not the point) and im working on a book of prose poetry!! it's mostly based off of greek mythology (some of which is pretty obscure) but the main theme is love and heartache. 

it's not a super common topic for poetry and in the words of my writing teacher, “no one cares about the past like they do about the now”, but i personally am really passionate about it and i think it shows in my writing. if u message me abt it i can show u some work too if u like giving feedback bc i love constructive criticism!

sorry for the length of this post ugh! anyway! do you guys think people would read it/would you?
