i vote that next year instead of reading Dracula we do a Jeeves & Wooster Book Club. those two never got the rabid tumblr shipping fandom they deserved (disqualified for the sheer technicality of being published a century too soon). we must correct this injustice

The Egg Bois have no one to take orders from after Sir Pentious dies. Then they see Lucifer and immediately follow him around and unlike Alastor who didn't like being tailed by the annoying yappy yokes, Lucifer is enthralled by them because they are like little ducklings forming a line as if Lucifer is their mother

One egg boi, Frank, is the only one that stuck to Alastor, and Al makes it clear he wants him to go away but Frank stays with him. One time when Al was cooking, Frank asked if he could help and Al thought for a moment, grinned, picked up the egg, and plopped him in the boiling pot. Unfortunately, Frank did not hard boil, in fact, he enjoyed the hot bath, and the rest of the egg bois ran inside as Lucifer entered the kitchen and screamed in horror at the display but the rest of the eggs hopped around Al's feet, pulling at his trousers asking to join the bubble bath.

Alastor trying to boil Frank is just fogjwenweln 🤣 I can see that. The fact that it's not working AND Frank's enjoying himself AND the other eggbois want to join in makes it all so much better.

hey, what’s up? finally started playing ptn. does angst exist in the ptn writing community? if it doesn’t, lemme introduce myself— /shot.

as i was saying! i finished chapter 3 so i don’t know much about the lore yet. but something came to my mind the last few days since i finished it. okay, sinners are unshackled if the sinner themselves die or if the chief dies. zoya wondered about the chief’s shackles, one of which being the side effects, and even the chief doesn’t know the content behind their own powers (amnesiac protagonist amirite).

so this is my idea: what happens if you, the chief, dies? the sinners you shackled finally gained freedom, but why does it feel so empty? and as time went on, their unconscious reactions of grief, sadness, and other negative things that are indescribable caused their mania levels to spike, losing control over their powers and themselves, to the point where they start to hallucinate you being alive.

they hallucinate an alternate reality, maybe a dream. in one life, you and them are strangers. in another, you’re friends. in another, you’re lovers. in another, your relationship with them could be something else. why do their hearts ache when they see you? shouldn’t they feel overjoyed that they have control of their own powers back? to kill you over and over again, the cause of their misery, without the shackles holding them back? but, why is it…regret? should’ve they done something to prevent your death?

when they call your name, depending on your relationship with them in that alternate universe, either you’ll give them a confused look but ask for their name, give them a hug, or kiss their face. and when the dream ends, when they soon succumb to madness of mania, the grief, sadness, and pain finally hit them. they want you to call their name so many times they won’t forget, to hold them a little bit longer to feel their warmth, and to take your breath away as if their lives depended on it. afterwards their mania peaks. their dreamworld starts to fall apart, and you’ve become transparent, slowly vanishing from their memory.

as they inch closer to death, they can feel your presence enveloping them. it’s warm and safe, as if death never came knocking on their door at all. as their consciousness drift away into nothingness, all they can hear are muffled noises, except one: your voice. in that moment, they found you in a field of flowers (the scene in the beginning of the game), in another place of existence where their darkness can’t reach.

“see you in heaven, those who have sinned.”

okay i just marathoned the entirety of ATLA live action & i might do an actual review of it explaining my thoughts more in depth, but the TLDR version basically boils down to this:

if you want to watch Avatar: The Last Airbender, just go watch the 2005 cartoon

#i was trying to keep an open mind & all that cuz of OPLA (my beloved) but. holy shit it was actually worse than i expected :/#like what were they thinking. did they use AI to write this or are the writers just like. really shitty #notes: they linger too much on random bullshit & refuse to move character development along #they tell when they should be showing & when they DO show it's for stuff that benefited from brief environmental storytelling in the OG #the plot drags so hard it was basically stagnant #there were some fun things but like. those things could've been funner if they'd been given the time other useless stuff was taking up #they changed so many minor details that really don't matter in order to make them more important #but this failed spectacularly because now there's just. stupid bullshit clogging up the plot??#instead of having 10 minute monologues 3 times an episode about plot irrelevant things #they should have taken a page out of the original's book & kept minor details to a minimum & focused on ACTUAL PLOT #SO MUCH CGI. LIKE I KNOW THEY NEED IT BUT COME ON. EVEN THE CHARACTERS?????? WHO ARE JUST STANDING THERE????????#they were given 8 hours & almost all of it was Aang angsting (lol) over being the avatar & not practicing actual bending #& then they ended the plot too early so they had to fill in the last like 20 minutes with something else #so they made up random lore that literally makes no sense. & overexplained all of it to the point i was blanking out from boredom #i think this is why i didn't enjoy Korra. they over explain the spirit world stuff & avatar powers & bending #that plus i just don't vibe with the aesthetic #being a writer is a curse because when i dislike something it's because i know exactly what went wrong & why #it's always with the analyzing & the judging & the internal note taking #even when i really try i can't just enjoy shit for fun

So I was responding to this post When an idea popped into my head. Hear me out, a village of giants living peacefully in a valley away from the whole world for years and years. They never needed to change their ways and didn’t know what lay beyond the mountains that surrounded their huge valley.

Until one day someone appears, a tiny little adventurer. The giants are hesitant cause they’ve never seen such a creature, meanwhile the tiny is scared…until they realize that these giants are scared. The tiny calms them by showing them they mean no harm and showing them neat tools and items they had brought along. The giants find these things interesting and begin to trust the tiny adventurer. The tiny eventually leaves but comes back every so often, trading goods with the giants and learning about the giants.

Until one day the tiny comes back greeted by a group of happy giants, who only realize that the tiny is not alone. They’ve brought hundreds of other tinies who are all wearing armor and carrying weapons. The tiny army takes over the village, killing any giant that resists and any giant they feel like killing. It’s a blood bath and the remaining giants are horrified. How could their little friend do this to them? The army demands all the valuables and supplies from the remaining giants, who fearing they could be killed, gather what is requested and give it to the army. The remaining giants watch as the army leaves wondering if they had managed to escape a horrible fate. A year later the army returns and repeats the process demanding items and goods, killing anyone who resists. They repeat this every year and the giants fear when the army will come and they don’t know what they can do to stop them. They just pray and hope that the army will dwindle away or perhaps the tinies will change their minds, but every year they are proven wrong. Children are taught to give up things they love and need in order to survive the tiny army, lest they be killed. The army doesn’t care who resists, whether it be an adult or a mere child. Hell sometimes when every giant does what is said the army picks five random giants to torture for fun. Perhaps years past of this torturous life and one day a giant is found by a tiny. The giant pleads to be spared and not to be harmed and the tiny sees how terrified the giant is. This tiny has no idea about the army that comes to torture the giants and decides to befriend the giant, but the giant is terrified cause of the story about how the yearly visit from the army started with what was thought as a simple friendship with a tiny.

Who knows what happens next, maybe they do become friends. Maybe they figure out how to stop the torture. Perhaps every time the tiny raises their voice in anger or their fist the giant flinches away. Maybe the army finds out about this friendship and kills the giant leading the tiny to fight against the army, or perhaps the army kills the tiny leading to the giant to finally break and rampage against the army which only leads to the army pointing at the giants saying “this is why we must break them”

So, as I have mentioned in a tag before- I have been working on a new au (dw Insane Subspace will still be here it is my first au here and I WILL die for it)

but I have been listening to the Side Order soundtrack, and saw the themed at play in the DLC and made a sort of.. au? Timeline? For it simply called the Order AU.

So my idea is that this new group has taken over Crossroads/Inpherno, imposing their idea of Order upon it. Let’s just call this group Order This results in the Phighting tournaments being shut down by them and colors being practically drained into the monochrome nightmare that you see in Side Order. Order has taken over every aspect of Inpherno life

… but someone will always fight for the chaos that once littered Inpherno with Color (and conflict but there’s surely better ways to go about it then THIS)

So enter Justice and Citric (Justice is the oc of another friend of mine (Vic) and yes they are canonly friends) They (Order) TRIED to get Justice to join them, but Justice knew that this was wrong. HORRIBLY wrong

The whole Phighting roster DID try to fight back as well but
