Okay, before you jump down to the masterpieces listed below, I just wanted to state this:

These authors have given this phenomenal content for free, baked with time and effort. I have never once ignored this, hence why I try and comment on each and every one of these fics. However, my energy and ability to be verbose differs day to day. Some of these fics I have not given proper comments for, despite this, I will be on it the moment I can be. In the time being, (once I am able to find my comments on each of these fics) I will be sharing my adoration for them further in other posts (and most likely link back to this one).

With that being said, please, PLEASE take your time to check each of these fics out. If they're not your cup of tea? Valid! But hands down I have never dedicated myself to making a fic rec like this until now. Speaking of Grim like the whole. Just everything about it is so fucked up.

Nine's first thought when he arrived there was that it looked, well, grim. And that it was perfect. An empty and desolate world with no end to the sands in sight was something he'd call perfect.

One wonders what would he would end up making out of the Grim if he was given the time and resources he wanted. When he had the power, he created a big ass fortress with its main area being just a recreation of his lab in New Yoke (yes yes reuse of assets is cheaper than making new stuff but hush) and the palm trees with a hammock for Sonic. Was he just planning to create things mostly based on what Sonic would find appealing since Nine himself didn't really have an idea of what would make a proper "home" besides being safe and isolated. (see: paragrap above.)

Speaking of Sonic. Nine's first showing of it to him went nowhere and ended on a sour note because like, to be fair, he was kinda in the middle of a war Nine dragged him out of (I would've really wanted to see a little scene of Nine changing his mind to go back to New Yoke and help Sonic out, like did he just decide he'd try again later after the fight is dealt with, was he just doing anything thing for Sonic so he'd then have time for him was that was it was. but nooo instead we got a useless scene of the council arguing and dancing around the question of what the hell they are to each other– whatever this is a long tangent) and later became the battlegrounds for his own war for the right to his paradise that left him with nothing and even less than he had.

Properly alone and isolated in his perfect, Grim fate.
