One of my headcanons that I'm too nervous to bring to life myself is that Harry's lightning bolt (actual lightning shaped) spreads across his eye and gives him white lashes where it cuts through, and Draco is obsessed with them.

But maybe this is more a detailed a suggestion than you were hoping for? ❤️🍀

HARRY POTTER IS A GREAT WIZARD

Harry is an amazing wizard. Yes, he might not be as exceptionally powerful as Dumbledore or Voldemort or as smart as Hermione but he is nonetheless a great wizard. He took out the sword of Gryffindor at the age of 12 and killed a Basilisk. He produced a Patronus at the age of 13 and fought about 100 Dementors which only Dumbledore was said to be capable of. He resisted the Imperius curse(by Voldemort nonetheless) at the age of 14 in the graveyard. Heck, even the death eaters were surprised. He became a teacher at the age of 15 and instilled so much confidence in Neville who would later turn out to be one of their bravest fighters. People need to understand that Harry was just 11-17 during the series so all of this really is a big achievement.

On a side note he got 7 OWL's even after dealing with all the shit he does

Headcanons for being an American transfer student who comes to Hogwarts, gets sorted into Gryffindor and slowly falls in love with Harry Potter...

It's odd being a fifth year and getting sorted with all of the first years, it's oddly comical towering over all of the nervous eleven year olds.

You've researched Hogwarts so you know a bit about the different houses. Truthfully, you don't mind which house you're sorted into but you're pleased when the hat shouts 'Gryffindor!'.

A boy with startlingly green eyes and circle glasses catches your eye and grins widely at you. He gestures for you to come and sit near him as there's a space.

You find out that his name is Harry Potter and his friends, Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley introduce themselves to you.

"Is that a scar?" You ask him curiously, "What did you do, get struck by lightning?"

"What do you mean?" Hermione asks, "Do you not know about Harry Potter and Lord Voldemort?"

You shrug, "I mean, I know a tiny but about Voldemort but not much... Why? Are you famous, Harry?"

You don't know anything about Harry which is really rather refreshing for him. "Nah," Harry says shaking his head, "Not really." You find out after a few days all about his past with Voldemort but it's nice for him to be normal and have a normal conversation that's not about Voldemort.

Immediately, he fancies you. He likes your accent, like your laugh. He thinks you're gorgeous.

The Golden Trio take you under their wing introducing you to Hogwarts and all its secrets.

When you finally find out about Voldemort and Harry, you're in utter shock. You can't get over that Harry is so young and he has the weight of the world upon his shoulders. He likes your appreciation and he also likes that you give him a tight hug and tell him that if he ever needs to talk then you're here for him.

Hermione gives him knowing smiles every time you're near him. She knows that he fancies you. She also knows that you're beginning to feel something for him too.

The four of you are inseparable, it's like you've always been in Hogwarts with them. You're so glad that you were sorted into Gryffindor and you're so glad Harry beckoned you over to sit with them.

You visit Hogsmeade with them and Harry surprises you by buying you some sugar quills which he soon learns are your favourites. He grins when your face bursts into one of pure excitement and you hug him tightly.

He smells nice; very woodsy, mixed with cologne and a hint of firewood.

You find yourself excited to see Harry, always giggling and nervous when around him. You confide in Hermione your feelings and Hermione can't stop smiling.

"I think you should tell Harry how you're feeling," Hermione says with a twinkle in her eye, "He might surprise you."

You don't tell Harry. You almost do quite a few times but you get too nervous and chicken out.

When Dumbledore's Army is established, you're obviously in and you can't wait to learn lots of new spells and tricks.

Harry's so proud of when you start to pick up the different spells and charms.

After one meeting, you stay a few minutes late to help Harry tidy. Ron was going to help too but Hermione grabbed him by the arm and drags him out, giving Harry a pointed look.

He's nervous and he stammers and stutters over his words but you understand what he's trying to say and in response, you kiss him. You were put in Gryffindor for a reason, you can be brave when you need to be.

The two of you return to Gryffindor Common Room grinning, holding hands and giggling like two lovesick puppies.

Hermione cheers and Ron claps him on the back proudly.

From then on, you're his as he is yours and the two of you are so protective over the other, always sticking up for the other whether it be against Malfoy or Umbridge or even risking your life to save him against Voldemort. No matter what, the two of you stay together.

Lily is nervous nowadays, when taking Harry outside — or really just going outside at all. She really shouldn’t be though, because there’s nothing to be nervous about…not anymore, at least.

They’ve been at peace for almost a year now and, finally, most of Voldemort’s followers have been found and incarcerated.

Unfortunately though, some of his deatheaters have had the advantage of their social status to lean on, like Lucius Malfoy for example. His importance as a highly regarded employee of the Ministry of Magic probably saved him from a lifetime in Azkaban.

Not to mention his undeservingly clever imply that, whilst doing Voldemort’s bidding, he‘d been under the constant influence of the Imperius curse.

The most unbelievable part of it is, that they had actually believed his lie.

At least his crazy sister in law, Bellatrix Lestrange, has not been so lucky. She’d gotten a one-way ticket to the dementor trap.

Lily still can’t imagine the pain she’d caused upon Frank and Alice Longbottom.

Tortured to insanity the report had read.

Lily knows they have a child too, a little boy Harry’s age — Neville, who’s much too young to already have lost so much.

She promised herself she’d tell him one day, how bravely his parents had fought for him — for all of them.

Sometimes she still forgets, mostly just in those first few minutes after waking up, that they no longer have to hide, that Voldemort’s no longer after them…because of that failed curse — the curse that should’ve ended her son‘s life.

Love protection Dumbledore explained. Harry was spared because of James’s and her own readiness to sacrifice themselves, in the blind hope to somehow protect him.

The public now sees that as some sort of tragically beautiful story — two young parents ready to give their lives for their baby…and a boy who, at merely fifteen months, saved them all from Voldemort’s wrath.

It agitates her every time she’s out in public, walking by a witch or wizard who‘d turn around to stare at them — at Harry. They‘d whisper and point him out…like a sort of saviour.

It makes it undeniable, despite of how much Lily would like to hope that people might get over it at some point.

Harry‘s going to have to grow up as a celebrity of sorts — a boy every child will have heard of by the time he is old enough to even remotely understand…with the expectation of greatness already sitting heavily on his shoulders.

And no matter how much she’ll want to shield him, she knows she can’t ever completely lift that burden off him.

The burden of being the boy who lived.

Merlin, she bloody hates that title. Sounds just about ready to be printed onto a chocolate frog card, that one. Which, by the way, would better not happen, hence one wanted to see her get really mad.

Which, if James‘s word is anything to go by, one might want to avoid. Of course, James can be a bit dramatic at times, Lily reckons — but he’s right about one thing…nobody in their right mind should dare to mess with her son.

She’d been ready to die for him. She wouldn’t hesitate to fight for him either, no matter her opponent.

One should never underestimate a Mother‘s love.

I like to think that if Voldemort never existed, Harry would've been the next Dark Lord. Why? Absolutely no reason. I just love the irony of him being the opposite if Voldemort never existed. Two sides of the same coin and all, but with no other side, what purpose would Harry have to focus on being so good? I just like the thought of dark harry tbh. Even better since Lily, and James would be alive in that universe which means him going dark would've been sweeter since he'd have everything from the start. That trope has me HOOKED.
