After The Fall - Vincent Renzi x Reader

Note: You guys are going to like this one😋

Summary: After the trial of the death of your husband, you struggle to come to terms with this new life and the trauma of what has happened before. Vincent Renzi, however, becomes your comfort, staying beside you the whole time. A friends to lovers fanfiction

CW: Cigarettes, Angst, fluff, obvious flirting, reader is depressed, grief, hurt and comfort, mentions of death, ex-husband was abusive - no mentions of it in this chapter.

Chapter three - Snowstorm.

“Hey, Vincent.” You had been suprised by the call which came late afternoon.

“Hey, um, me and a few friends are going out for a few drinks and i was wondering if you wanted to join? You know trying to cheer you up and everything..”

“Oh no, I don’t want to intrude or anything like that- “ You immediately refuse.

“Listen, you wouldn’t be intruding Y/n, i’m literally inviting you to come with us.”

You sigh and hesitate.

“Come on, it will be fun.” He persuades over the phone.

“Okay, but just a few.” You finally agree.

You’d just arrived outside the bar down town, it has taken you half an hour just to drive down and they were certainly a couple of drinks in by now. You were nervous, and it wasn’t his unknown friends that caused it. It was him. You were nervous to see him. It was the first time since the trial you had tried to make yourself look nice, finally styling your hair and clothes.

“Hey! Y/n!” Vincent shouts across the bar before running over and bringing you to greet his couple of friends.

“This is Nicolas and this is Camille.” He introduced before you greeted them kindly.

“I’ll go grab you a drink.” He says before strolling over to the bar. He was still in his work clothes, suit pants and a loosely unbuttoned shirt. You couldn’t help but admire him from afar.

“So, how do you know Vincent?” Nicolas questions from across the table.

“Oh, he was my lawyer actually, for a case not long ago.” You hoped they wouldn’t make you elaborate further.

“Ah, he is good isn’t he? He’s always been so dedicated to law and his job.” Camille says before continuing on. “We used to go to the same university, he was a good scholar. And a good man too.”

“A good man? Thank you very much guys!” He says placing your drink in front of you and sitting down.

“Yeah, yeah..” Nicolas mutters.

It was a few hours in, and definitely late now. You looked out the window and noticed the heavy amount of snow falling to the ground. How were you meant to get back in this weather? Especially up near the mountains.

“Christ. The weather, you guys seeing this?” Camille says noticing it too. Vincent and Nicolas turned their heads to the window promptly.

“Shit. That’s heavy. Y/n, do you live close? I hope that’s not going to be a problem for you.” Nicolas asks.

“Ummmmm, no. I do not live close and that is an extremely big problem..” You hum before turning back to you drink and taking another swig. They all laugh.

“I mean, we’re staying at the Inn in town not far from here, there should be a room free if you can’t get back.” Camille explains.

“No, no. It’s fine you can stay with me. Save the money.” Vincent interjects, sipping his drink.

“Vincent, i couldn’t do that- I’ll just stay at the inn, it’s ok-“ You decline. You really didn’t want to intrude.

“Y/n. It’s fine. I have a pull out couch, it wouldn’t be a problem.” He assures.

“Are you sure?”

“Of course I am.”

“Bye guys. Get back safe!” It was really late now and you were all very drunk, saying your goodbyes and setting off for home. You and Vincent begin to walk to his apartment, a few blocks from the bar. Still sipping on your last beers and sharing a cigarette.

“ I’m so glad i came tonight, that was the most i’ve laughed in a long time.” You say before inhaling the smoke and passing it over to Vincent.

“I’m glad you did too. They seem to really like you, my friends.”

“Yeah, hopefully.” You both laugh and take a swig of your beer.

He loved the way your drunk smile and the way your cheeks pinked up from the alcohol. He could watch you forever, admiring every crevice of your skin. You were beautiful.

“It’s not much, but it’s home.” He states before you both walk in to his apartment. It was cozy and nicely decorated and you loved the homely atmosphere of it all.

“No Vincent, it’s lovely.” You compliment as you take your coat off and hang it next to the door.

“Do you want something to drink?” He asks from the kitchen.

“No, no, I don’t think i can handle anymore.” You giggle.

He laughs back before answering. “It doesn’t have to be alcohol, i’ve got tea or coffee. Water?”

“Water would be nice, thank you.” You say strolling over to him. He’d taken off his coat too and the weather has roughed up his hair. You watch as he grabs a glass and fills it for you drunkly. You couldn’t help but notice how good he looked like this. Work clothes, drunk and with messy hair.

“I’ll go get the bed ready, do you need any clothes to sleep in? I can give you a jumper or?”

“A jumper would be good, it’s still a little bit chilly from outside.” You laugh before he nods and goes into the smaller room nearby and comes up with a black knitted jumper.

“Thank you so much, for all of this. I feel like such an inconvenience.” You shrug, looking down at you feet and back to his eyes.

“It’s truly not a problem, i wouldn’t have offered if so. It’s the least i could do with the weather and all.” He smiles at you before going back to the room and you put on the jumper and follow over.

“Okay, this is you.”

“That’s not a couch bed Vincent, that’s your bed.”

“I know, i’m taking the couch.”

“Vincent, no. This is your house your not taking the couch-“

“You’re the guest here, have the bed. Please.”

You sigh before giving up and going into the room, he grabs a few things before leaving. “Goodnight, Y/n.”

“Goodnight Vincent.” You says before climbing into the made bed and turning off the light.

Title: Witches and a vampire makes three part two

Pairing: Elijah M. x Witch!Black!Reader x Vincent G.

Warnings: Fluff, Protective!Elijah, Protective!Reader, Reader taking no bullshit, spicy, Vincent is just tired of Klaus

Masterlist - Headcanons

Elijah knew he fell deep and hard as he now couldn't imagine not having both you and Vincent by his side. But he also knew Klaus would want him back with family. Elijah didn't want to leave you and Vincent, so the vampire for once in his life chose to be selfish. Elijah woke up feeling your bare body pressed against his chest and heard Vincent in the kitchen. Elijah carefully removed hisself from you and slipped a pair of pants on.

"Look Freya, I can not tell Elijah what to do. If he doesn't want to live with family then leave him be." Vincent spoke to his phone that was on speaker with Freya on the other end from what Elijah could hear.

'Klaus is restless and wishes for Elijah to return to help him find the witch that helped Hayley.' Freya says making Vincent sigh while Elijah stepped into the kitchen wrapping his arms around the witch.

"Look I don't what to tell you Freya. As for the witch maybe Klaus could drop it." Vincent says feeling Elijah nuzzle his neck clearly wanting the witch's attention. Elijah hummed happily taking in Vincent's scent.

'Klaus wants to protect Hope, who is now in some swap with Hayley.' Freya said sounding annoyed with Vincent.

"Right....look I'll talk to Elijah but no promises. Elijah has gotten comfortable living with me." Vincent says hanging up and got back to making breakfast just letting Elijah cling to him.

"You should have stayed in bed, my love."

"And end up smothered by you and Y/N? No thank you." Vincent tells Elijah feeling a shiver run down his back when Elijah placed a delicate kiss on his neck. Both heard you come in and joined the pair snuggling up to Vincent's front.

"Why are you two being so needy this morning?" Vincent asked turning off the stove finishing up breakfast. You smiled wrapping your arms around Vincent's neck while Elijah nipped at Vincent's neck.

"Because you never stay in bed with us." You answered Vincent kissing the witch's jaw. Elijah chuckled pressing kisses on the inside of your wrist hearing Vincent sigh.

"How about we stay in today?"

"I can't Eli. The witches are worried about a new group of vampires and Vincent is going to help Camille solve murders." You answered Elijah pulling away from Vincent. Elijah made you squeal when he lifted you up while Vincent shook his head.

"Then allow me to join you today, baby." Elijah says running his nose along your thoat making him smile when you cupped his face.

You and Vincent had no interest in Elijah at first, only seeing him as the vampire that followed you both around. But one night Elijah protected Vincent from Klaus and from there you and Vincent couldn't help but fall for the vampire.

"Alright but fair warning witch meetings are kinda boring." You say giggling when Elijah pressed kisses on your face. Elijah placed you down so you three could get on with your day.

"Ma'am Regent....oh you brought Elijah."

"Elijah is just here to observe. No need to worry." You tell Sophie while Elijah watched holding an parasol over you to keep the sun off of you. You three made your way to the other witches, the Heads of the Nine covens froze seeing Elijah. They were confused seeing the Original be so soft with you, Elijah held your hand helping you walk up the steps.

"Now what is the problem with these new vampires?"

"They call themselves the Strix, Ma'am Regent. They are trying force covens to do magic for them. Half of my cove was killed for saying no." A witch tells you making you narrow your eyes.

One thing that was unspoken in New Orleans was that vampires don't move in on where a witch coven was and not to force them to do magic. Marcel knew this and left your covens alone for the most part as long as they did no magic. Marcel knew also to not move where there was covens because of the magic soaked grounds.

"Do this group have a leader?" You asked eyes dark with anger.

"They do." Elijah answered getting everyone's attention. Elijah swallowed feeling arousal flood his veins seeing the dark look in your eyes. Something about seeing you so angry made Elijah want to get on his knees for you.

"Take me to him."

To say Tristan was surprised to see his Sire with a witch was an understatement. Strix members went flying and Elijah had quickly grabbed Aya stopping her from attacking you. The windows shattered from the sheer strength of your magic and both Elijah and Tristan was in awe of you. There was a reason you were Regent.

"Back off of my witches, De Martel." You growled glaring darkly at the vampire.

"Ah Ma'am Regent. I was hoping for a meeting with you." Tristan says smirking finding you gorgeous and the look he gave you didn't get pass Elijah. The Original let go of Aya making his way to you and Tristan. You glared harshly at Tristan your magic sparking while outside a storm was beginning to rage.

"Your vampires are killing my witches so I suggest you stop them."

"I apologize, I shall fix the problem right away. I wasn't aware you knew my Sire." Tristan said making you blink because you thought it was going to be more push back. Elijah stepped up behind you now that you were calm and you felt the possessiveness roll off of Elijah.

Tristan picked up on the relationship between you and Elijah seeing how the Original didn't like him staring at you. You felt Elijah place on your lower back and saw him glaring at Tristan.

"Why are you here Tristan?" Elijah questioned his eyes narrowing at Tristan moving you behind him. Aya stood beside Tristan arms crossed looking at Elijah and you.

"Your life and Sire line is in danger. We came...."

"You're talking about the prophecy." You say stepping forward from behind your vampire getting Elijah's attention and surprising Tristan.

"Prophecy?"

"I shall tell you when we are back home. But Tristan if your vampires attack my witches again, I will kill you and no one will stop me." You said turning to walk away and Elijah stood back wanting to know why Tristan was in New Orleans.

Elijah followed you in to your shared home after meeting with the Strix to find out more of this prophecy. Elijah watched you ready to do a spell confusing your lovable vampire.

"I am going to channel the witch that saw this prophecy. A few seers told me someone was mudding the magic with this prophecy. You'll have to feed from me to see it."

"I see." Elijah says softly stepping up behind you tilting your head. You shivered feeling Elijah gently brushing your hair out of the way. Elijah placed a soft kiss on your neck then sank his fangs into your neck.

Elijah pulled away surprised with what he saw and began to lick up the blood off of your skin. You shivered feeling Elijah pulling you closer while leaving wet open mouth kisses on your neck.

"My beloved witch, I shall not fall."

"Elijah....the prophecy isn't real. Many of the seers say it is fake and they are worried Klaus won't take to it well." You whispered feeling Elijah hummed against your neck.

"Why fake a prophecy?" Elijah asked against your skin hearing your breath quicken when his hands began to wonder.

"It seems there is more to Tristan's visit." You said while Elijah moved you both to the couch.

"Then I shall find out what it is."

Vincent stared at Lucien who sat across from him and Camille. Lucien leaned forward looking at the human and witch. Vincent knew that Lucien was bad news, he found it odd how Klaus's First Sired was in town and right behind him was Elijah's. While Lucien knew Vincent was going to be protective of Elijah and the Regent of the Nine covens since the vampire's witch saw the relationship between the three.

"Look I am innocent. I just want to protect Klaus and you, Vincent want to keep Elijah safe." Lucien says while Camille looked to her friend surprised while the witch narrowed his eyes at Lucien.

"What does Vincent knowing Elijah have to do with this?"

"Does Klaus know that you and the Regent had became Elijah's lovers? Or how the Regent helped Hayley?" Lucien says watching Vincent sit up straight glaring at the vampire. And before Camille could say a word the door slammed open revealing an angry Klaus.

"So your Regent thinks it is cute to go against me? Do you think I would allow Elijah to be weaken by you witches?" Klaus growled heading for Vincent but before he could even touch the witch. Camille stepped in front of Klaus giving the hybrid a warning look.

"Klaus, don't harm Vincent. So what if he is dating Elijah, that doesn't make Elijah weak." Camille tells Klaus who was glaring at Vincent. It didn't surprise Vincent that Klaus didn't like Elijah taking on two lovers.

"The witches are using my brother. This is your plan to take down my family." Klaus growled glaring at Vincent who rolled his eyes moving to walk out.

"The witches has no interest in you, Klaus. If anything Elijah has smoothed things over between vampires and witches. The covens don't fear you knowing that Elijah will keep them safe."

"If you think I will allow this so call relationship. Then you are wrong Vincent." Klaus said storming out with Lucien following leaving Vincent with Camille. The human noticed how Vincent sighed before leaving also and now Camille was hoping this wouldn't end badly.

Favorite character: Hard to choose because i love so many of them. I feel like every time I watch it I end up with a new favorite. The first time I watched the show I was an Elijah girlie (all that class and poise and honor with brutality and violence rippling just below the surface is so compelling). But overall I think I'd have to go with Marcel, I just find him as a character so fascinating and tragic. He's introduced as a character whose life on the plantation contrasts with the life of opulence the Mikaelsons are living in New Orleans. He's brought out of slavery by them and given everything - money, education, power, influence, status, the finer things in life - but it's ALWAYS contingent on him keeping them happy and doing what they want. Every attempt he makes to free himself ends up backfiring. And despite this he always finds a way to make it work. They leave him to die when they flee New Orleans and he still manages to build a kingdom that even Klaus is envious of when he returns. I also think the way he's caught between being too New Orleans to really be a Mikaelson but also too much a Mikaelson for New Orleans is really interesting.

Least Favorite character: Hmmmm.... it may be the obvious answer to say Mikael, since he is just so hateable. (also don't hate me but I did find Klaus kind of annoying after a while)

5 Favorite ships (canon or non-canon): I actually didn't have much shippy feelings about this show (I also just don't have much shippy feelings in general) - i much prefer familial or platonic dynamics so i'm going to answer that way, with some of my favorite relationships and dynamics but not necessarily romantic or sexual. 1) I was a SUCKER for HayleyxElijah from the very beginning, probably the only romantic ship I really cared about while watching 2) Aya x Elijah in like... a super fucked up way. The centuries of history, resentment, and sexual tension....... The next three are all platonic/familial relationships I love: 3) Camille and Vincent had a really interesting dynamic (also I just think Vincent is severely underrated) 4) Marcel and Davina's father-daughter thing was really sweet and compelling and 5) Klaus and Elijah's relationship was the heart of the show.

Character I find most attractive: They are all so attractive lol. But probably Elijah. Maybe Aya as well.

Character I would marry: Vincent! He is so husband-coded. He's truly one of the most underrated characters on the show.

Character I would be best friends with: Honestly I think it would be fun to be a third in Davina and Josh's friendship. I think they're having more fun than the other characters. (And I love how Davina is so small but so full of rage and we have a lot of shared interests re:music). Or Hayley because I think she needs more female friends lol.

A random thought: We should've had more Aya.

An unpopular opinion: I think it would've been a better ending if all the Mikaelsons had died in the finale. For so many seasons the theme was that despite how long they'd cheated death, all things must eventually die. I think it would have been thematically better - and i LOVE a good and well-written tragedy. I have a longer post about this in my drafts.

My canon OTP: Haylijah

Non-canon OTP: Hayley x Rebekah (listen... this show would've been better with more femslash)

Most badass character: hmmmmm... They kinda all are, but i'm tempted to say Hayley (especially after she becomes a hybrid) or Elijah (there's something about the way he can do that kind of damage and then still look pretty put together that I find VERY badass).

Pairing I am not a fan of: I really did not like marbekah, despite really loving both Marcel and Rebekah. I just didn't like it - I think loving Rebekah is inseparable from Marcel's desire to be part of the Mikaelson family and she's basically his aunt .

Character I feel the writers screwed up (in one way or another): So so so so many (specifically characters of color Julie Plec you will pay for your crimes) but I think Vincent is one of the better examples of this. I think he deserved a better ending than he got. Also Hayley because in the last season she became basically JUST hope's mom and didn't really have anything else going on.

Favourite friendship: Hmmmm... I think Cami had really great friendships with everyone that I enjoyed a lot (Vincent, Hayley, Davina, Marcel) I also think thats just a really interesting group of people - just bunch of people with strong connections to New Orleans or the bayou who are sort of caught up in the Mikaelsons' wake.

Alex’s Christmas Sleepover 2022!!!

Okay, okay, sooooo

Last year I started this way too late and I also, like, completely failed and didn’t get any of my story requests done, so I greatly apologize for that 😅😅😅 BUT to @shadyrunawaykingdom, @corner-emo, and @sevenmillionpsychos, if you still want the same stories that you requested previously, I will write them this year and they will be the very first stories that I put out from this. If you want a new story instead, just let me know and I’ll do that instead. If you’d like to request another story along with your previous one, that’s perfectly fine, just know that your new story requests will go into whatever list I have going after your previous requests are done. If you need a reminder on what story you requested last year, let me know and I’ll tell you!!

So, now, here’s how things will go. Below, I’ll have listed the characters that I’m currently comfortable writing for categorized by fandoms, as well as different symbols relating to christmas and whatnot. You get to choose if you want a moodboard or story (if you pick story, you automatically get a moodboard as well, please keep that in mind), as well as what character or characters you’d like in it. If you want a story, you get to choose what type of story (smut, angst, fluff, comfort, etc. as well as any combinations - any characters I list that are canonically younger than 18, I will be aging up unless you ask for a scenario that requires them to be younger, just no asking for there to be smut while the character isnt aged up to 18+) as well as if you’d like a shorter story (Around 500-1,500 words) or a longer story (Around 2,000+). You then get to also add in any of the christmas symbols that I list and voila. I shall create something for you 😌

Name’s Enigma. Pronouns are he/him, and I’m 20. I roleplay with no one under the age of 18 and am multifandom.

To get into the bread and butter of things, I do primarily cc x cc and sometimes oc x cc. Almost all of my rps have been ship-based, so that’s what I’m used to. I focus on m/m or m/f, rarely f/f. Doing Art History: Painting 2

French Art in the 19th century was heavily focused on Establishment painting, which is painting through patronage and academic painting type. However, while that type of painting was typical at the time, Avant-Garde (favouring or introducing new and experimental ideas and methods.) was coming in and reshaping art.

Leon Bonnat is one of these older French artists upholding academic painting, he was the default portraitist, especially for well-known and important figures.

Vincent van Gogh, Self-Portrait with Bandaged Ear, 1889. Oil on canvas, 60.5 x 50 cm, Courtauld

Now look at Vincent Van Gogh and his self-portrait, made just three years later. Comparing the two artists, one is clearly far more Linear and the other Painterly. Bonnat was trained to paint in this style, the lack of eye contact from Pasteur gives him a thoughtful occupied academic look, while his granddaughters presence makes him appear as a family man. Moreover, she retains eye contact with the viewer, affirming the position of the viewer, bringing them in. While Van Gogh’s eye contact is far more subjective and debatable, to me he’s dissociating, looking far into the world, and lost to his mind. Ruminating if you will.

Which one do you refer? To what degree does an artist need to be trained/know painting to be good?

During this time historically there were new developments in colour and out understanding of the eye and retina: the prism, retinal imagery, etc.

Consider the touch and tension, the fluidity of the painting.

Perhaps a feminist reading of the painting, as suggested by the lecturer was that to a 19t century audience, her nudeness and laid-back nature is one of relaxation. And while a 19th century lady would’ve had many layers of clothing, this nudeness would’ve appeared as freeing. However, there is something to say on a male artist telling a woman how to relax.

Although there is something to be said between nude bodies being depicted as opposed to a naked body. Nude: clothes in conversation of Western art, is depicted and painted as if the subject had never worn clothes and is idealised, by the skill of the painter. This painting is an example of that. Naked: is far less idealised, one that implies a body that has worn clothes before or even has some featured around somewhere in the painting. It might even appear dirty, and far more realistic.

Compared to Olympia, you can observe the difference between a nude and naked body.

The painting is linear, her gaze directed at the viewer, she’s sitting up in confrontation. A painting that’s non-allegorical, she is supposedly a prostitute, while unusual for nudes, she created quite a reaction from contemporary audiences. Critics considered her to have armpit hair even, with the way Manet painted her. They also criticised her femininity, as long flowing hair was a far more associated trait with femineity. Here she has hair bunched, and it almost disappears into the background, they claimed it made her look bald and dirty. This is very clearly a naked body as she has left over items of clothing on her, which imply the existence of clothes.

The person of colour featured in the painting is considered the attendant to the lady laying on the bed, as many brothels employed people of colour.

Monet and Renoir were known to paint together, a good example of this are these two paintings of a boat house/boating place. They set up easels next to one another, creating similar but certainly different, emphatic paintings. Creating simple figures but different renderings, creating suggestions of figures. What is a finished work?

Sketch aesthetic: quick lines, shapes, casual blotting of colour, considered thoughtless. But focusing on mood and atmosphere more than anything. Created by the light, colour, weather – was always a race against the changing weather for the painters to capture.

This creates an individual experience for each viewer, applying and projecting personal experience onto the works, this was probably one of the great aspects and playing into impressionism. This temperament probably didn’t benefit the critics, but made art form a greater connection to that of the masses.

Completed as a series of studies of the La Gare Saint-Lazare, these paintings depict a modern life. Especially the one on the left, depicting perhaps an underside of modern life, through the choice of colour palette the painting evokes a dangerous atmosphere. And in some cases, lacks colour, depicting a fiery railway station and perhaps the underbelly a hellish side of the Industrial Revolution. The painting holds a certain thickness, with the figures reminiscent of the architecture, almost dehumanising the modern industry. Although, this thickness presents challenge, like the opacity of the piece, falling short in seeing and the lack of colour legibility. Monet manages to capture something visceral in the smoke.

His style, while baring the characteristics of Impressionism also hold a certain pattern of texture, as he repeats the technique and repeats the textural pattern in his paintings. Not only in the smoke but in the landscape also.

1916 post-war Water Lillies were created by Monet as a symbol for peace and his response to WW1.

Berthe Morisot, The Wet Nurse and Julie, 1879 , 50 x 61 cm. Private Collection

Morisot was an upper-class woman, and to me this painting is a radical one. This is her wet nurse, feeding Morisot’s daughter, who is painting them. An example of a modern woman, critics didn’t wish to comment on her pieces due to liking her and believed Impressionism to be an art for women. Due to its atmospheric importance, and emotion behind it.

Seurat was considered more of a post-impressionist (or neo impressionist), in the sense that he just came after the impressionists did. During this time pointillism was becoming a trend within art, due to the sciences attempting to link the arts into a more “disciplined art”. This art was considered mechanical and scientific in its creation, with the single dots that made up and blending at a distance. Although this creates a linear painting, making it static and like the bodies are mannequins.

Gaugin’s Nevermore, was created by Gaugin when he was visiting certain islands, expecting to find an untouched paradise. When he arrived to find a colonised land that was not that primitive, there he used women to establish a place for himself and used the relationships with them to survive. These paintings in fact, are an example of that. His critics claimed his art appeared primitive, the opposite of civilised in this case, with the flat colours and basic shapes, although going against the common nude depictions.
