still in the originals topic, i can't stress enough with the fact that camille was absolutely one of the top five characters. she had great writing, leah pipes delivered a amazing performance, she has parallel storylines some people cross their heart and hope to die swearing by dear life she does not but she has she has a great plot and every single person in that show respected her greatly, even mikael and esther. he recognized her for the warrior heart she had. elijah saying he liked her spirit and that she lived gracefully. davina had cami as a figure of protection. josh was a close friend. vincent was never the same after she's gone. rebekah saying that klaus would listen to her but never to them. freya, that barely knew camille, respecting her autonomy and trying to save her. aurora admired camille's strength, even tho she absolutely hated her. marcel was in love with her, and loved her after their relationship end, for who she was. hayley had a close friendship with cami to the point that they plotted plans together multiple times and hayley is showed devastated after cami dies. kol bringing cami's memory to make a point to klaus, years after she's gone. finn almost fell in love with her. let's not even start with klaus, whose camille's was with no doubt, the epic love. she was the love of his life. kill camille was a ridiculous mistake and the show never recovered from it.

Hi,whats your opinion on Hayley and Camille as a couple? Yes it sounds a little bit weird but I think that they were a good pair and had chemistry

So I'm one of those weird people that don't often ship non-canon ships. Maybe I'm just not imaginative enough. I also just love a good platonic love. I think friendships are so undervalued in this fandom. People in this fandom are so passionate about their crack ships that I've been told all kinds of awful things because I've made posts/comments that I don't like their head canon ships. Again, I'll never tell anyone who to ship, but I give my opinions when asked.

That being said, I can get behind Haymille.

I am always more inclined to add in wlw ships, especially in a show that gives us virtually none. The only one we have is Freelin, which I have to constantly force myself to forget their entire meeting. A lot of the wlw ships in this fandom upset me because they are usually shipping abusers.

Haymille on the other hand is just so pure. They are both very loving and caring characters who would balance each other out well. It actually would make so much sense because of how klamille and haylijah balance each other out. I could completely see Cami and Hayley running off together to get Hope to safety and falling in love. They already loved each other platonically. There is definitely chemistry there and I have never viewed either of them being straight.

I do love haylijah and klamille, but if I couldn't have them I would definitely want haymille. They would have a nice domestic life. Hayley leading her pack while Cami starts her own practice in town. Hope would have such a happy life with them. It would be way less chaotic than their lives with the Mikaelsons. They would be better off.

favorite storyline: beklena finding the cure together/elena's vampirism in general. also elejah and forwood's interactions in s2 the good old days, s6 dark!steroline (chef's kiss), s3 klaroline, klaus versus his hybrids, klefan going on a murdery road trip together (they are hizzie before hizzie was even hizzie goodbye), katherine and nadia reuniting before the writers ruined that, bamon and the prison world, bonnie + shane's interactions (dark!bonnie was so so close we could have had it all)...... for such a terrible show it gave so much material.

least favorite storyline: d*lena sirebond nonsense probs, caroline/andie being reduced to a blood bag, st*ferine in s5.

what I wish had happened but didn’t: abby actually working hard for her and bonnie to have a relationship, caroline hating on DE in s4 for the RIGHT REASONS and reminding elena of the fact that she did not "jump into bed" on the first date but was assaulted, elena being free of the [redacted] brothers and regaining agency in s4, sheila having more of a presence on the show (and replacing the s*lvabros/al*ric as PRIMARILY BONNIE'S CARETAKER because she would prioritize her granddaughter first, but also protecting the rest of the scooby doo gang as well she'd also teach bonnie to value her self worth and not allow them to step all over her), BONNIE BEING ALLOWED TO MOURN the same way her white friends were allowed to, a motivation for bonnie outside magic, more love interests for bonnie, bonnie/qetsiyah interaction, caroline having motivations/storylines outside of male love interests, at least half the characters on this show being queer, luke parker being allowed to actually date men, nora realizing her exgirlfriend took the side of valerie's abuser over valeria and that she can do better/dating bonnie, katherine and nadia exploring their mother-daughter relationship, the mikaelsons and bonnie securing some kind of alliance

what happened that I wish hadn’t: d*roline (do i need to explain), tyler!klaus (it could have been an opportunity for michael trevino to show off his acting skills the same way nina dobrev did by playing multiple characters in one body, but instead the writers just had to go there), the second KC biting scene (which was completely unnecessary/recyled idea and totally could have been handled differently), katherine pursuing stefan instead of prioritizing her daughter

favorite storyline: when klaus found out about rebekah's "betrayal" (i have a lot of thoughts about this arc and the acting in these eps was*chef's kiss*) and totally went off his rocker lmfao, cami becoming a vampire (which for some reason isn't really popular), klamille's slow burn development, haylijah's s1 chemistry and buildup (i lost interest after s2), the introduction of genevieve's character, hayley becoming a hybrid, gia's vampire transition, marcel putting klaus on "trial" after davina's death, lucien becoming a hybrid 2.0 (which is basically just an original on redbull lmfao, how does JP expect me to buy that there's something more powerful than the very first vampires on earth), kol and rebekah bodysnatching, freya reappearing as the Long Lost Sibling in s2

least favorite storyline: elijah's character regression in s5

what i wish had happened but didn't: klayley basically "adopting" davina in some sense; and i wanted cami to be dark!cami for a little while longer so klamille could parallel steroline. also klayley exchanging platonic gestures (klaus's hand on hayley's shoulder, her hand on his arm when she told him kindness=/= weakness) should definitely have been utilized more.

imagine klaus coming up to the afterlife to reunite with cami, expecting them to live happily ever after watching over hope while hayley third wheels, but he comes up to the afterlife and it turns out in the scant months hayley was dead and he wasn't, hayley and cami got together and klaus just gapes and he becomes the third wheel as hayley and cami and him too, i guess, watch over hope

"Cami!" Hayley screams, desperation clear in her voice as she's looking everywhere to find the woman she loves. For just a sign. Anything. She can't loose her. She can't loose her like she has everyone else.

She has to find Cami.

She's gotten everyone she knows. Everyone that will help her. All of New Orleans is being searched by vampires, witches, and werewolves.

"Cami!" She yells again, breaking down a door and finding Cami laying there, her eyes fluttering closed slowly, her heart beat slowing down, her chest barley rising anymore. Hayley immedately rushes over, picking Cami up gently so she can rest in her arms.

"Cami... stay awake... what happened?" Hayley asks gently, brushing a piece of hair out of Cami's eyes.

"H-He came and he-he..."

"Hey, shhhhhhh... shhhh.... talk slowly, okay? O-Or just don't talk at all... save your strength... just show me where he hurt you..."

"Just- Just get- Just get Hope out of here... He-He's going after he next..."

"Klaus is already getting her out of town... she'll be okay..."

"Good..." Cami whispers out, her eyes fluttering closed for a minute, Hayley sobbing.

"Please stay awake..."

"Yo-You are my sunshine... my only-onl-only sunshine..." Cami quitely sings, both of them remebering the first time they kissed. They were dancing together by themselves, under the Bayou's moon light, the first time they kissed each other...

The first time they both knew they loved each other...

"You make me happy when skies are gray..." Cami continues, voice cracking as she deeply inhales. Hayley lets out a sob, holding Cami as close as she can, resting their foreheads together.

"Please don't go, Cami..."

"I- I don't have a choice, Hay..."

"Then I'll- Then I'll never let you go, okay? I'll never forget you..."

"I guess that makes me immortal." Cami whispers out, attempting to catch her breath again. "You'll never know dear, how much I love you..." Cami whispers out again, a few tears running down her own cheeks, Hayley's tears falling on Cami's cheeks as well.

"Please don't take my sunshine away..." Cami barley finishes, shutting her eyes for the last time, taking her last breath, and telling Hayley her last goodbye.

Cami O'Connell is dead.

The love of Hayley's life is dead.

And Hayley had to watch her die...

A Change of Fate

"...It doesn't change how she feels."

Hayley glances at Elijah before striding out of the room, leaving the two brothers to think about what she said, while trying to push the words out of her own mind. They have hit closer to home than she intended.

"It doesn't change how she feels? Really?"

Hayley's freezes as Cami steps out from the shadows. Gasping, she presses a hand against her chest.

"Please don't do that again," she says breathlessly.

"Sorry."

Cami looks away and shuffles her feet.

"My apartment does not feel as safe as it used to," she admits. Her voice catches, and she swallows.

Hayley places her hand on Cami's arm, secretly relieved. After they had rescued Klaus from Lucien and incapacitated Aurora, Hayley had urged Cami to come with them, fully aware that Cami would be Lucien's next target. Cami had refused, and Hayley hadn't had the energy to force her.

"Lucien can't get to you here," Hayley reassures.

Anger and frustration flash over Cami's face.

"Why does he even care in the first place? Why couldn't they just leave us alone?!"

"You know the answer to that question, love."

Klaus steps out of the shadows behind Hayley. He has cleaned himself up, re-establishing the powerful image of the Original Hybrid, but his shoulders are drawn tight and he looks more tired than Hayley has ever seen him. Cami swallows, and clutches her bag close as if it could protect her against the world.

"There is room for you, if you wish to stay.”

Klaus glances at Hayley before he stalks away, head low.  

"Come on," Hayley says gently, linking her arm with Cami's.

The spare room is cold, so Hayley turns up the heating while Cami sits down on the bed. Hayley had still been living in the apartment across the street with Jackson when Cami moved into the compound for those few days. It seemed like a lifetime ago, that fleeting moment of happiness when they were all gathered together beneath the Christmas tree.

Cami looks around the room and chuckles nervously.

"I haven't been in here since I turned," she says, her voice trembling. Hayley settles down next to her, sinking into the soft matress. She runs her hands over the flowers embroidered on the sheets.

"Hayley, what I said back then, after I... you know. I really did not mean it."

Hayley closes her eyes. "When I turned into a hybrid, I thought I would go crazy," she admits. "I took it out on everything and everyone. So... Can't really blame you."

"You know," Cami says, "I thought about it. Before. What it would be like, to be a vampire."

She shakes her head. "I thought I had it all figured out. The bloodlust, the heightened senses. The dubious morality."

She takes a deep breath.  "I told myself that that was what attracted me to him. The idea that I could fix him. It's how I justified to myself that I could love a monster."

Hayley stares out of the window. She can't see the apartment from this room, but she knows it is there. The apartment which she had shared with a good man, a perfect man. A man who every sane woman would choose.

"And now you are the monster," she whispers.

Cami stands. "You know, Vincent is right. All of this bloodshed, all of this pain. For what?"

"You can't stop loving someone just because you want to," Hayley says. She swallows, remembering Elijah's words. "It doesn't work," she murmurs.

Cami looks down. "It would make things easier, though, wouldn't it?" she says.

Hayley remains silent. She had met a few vampires who had turned of their humanity, their capability to feel pain or love. Neither existence seemed particularly appealing.

And nothing would change what she had learned today when seeing Klaus on his knees, bound to the rack in Lucien’s penthouse.

The Mikaelsons are no longer invincible.  

* * *

The next morning, Hayley is greeted with drawn faces at the breakfast table. None of them seems to have slept any, and Klaus is pacing back and forth. His angry shouts can be heard even before she sees them. Elijah is watching his brother like a hawk, ready to intervene, and Freya is sitting at the table, her shoulders hunched.

"What's going on?" Hayley asks, breaking through Klaus' rant. He turns to her with a snarl on his face, but doesn't answer.  

"Camille's home was destroyed last night," Elijah says instead. "They found it ransacked this morning."

A cold wave washes over her, her suspicions solidified. "What?"

"It was Lucien," Klaus snarls. "I will rip him..."

The four of them look up at a sound at the top of the stairs. Cami is looking down on them, her eyes wide. For a moment, they stare at her, the possibility of her death filling them all with dread.

Cami stumbles down the stairs, and Hayley approaches her. Without a word, she pulls her into a hug. She can't imagine a world without Cami, without her care, without her wisdom and without her kindness. It would have been a loss none of them would have been able to recover from.

She pulls away, and turns towards the Mikaelsons.

"It's time we end this."

What do you think Cami or Davina would of ended up doing at the end of the season had they survived? Or their reactions the 'trial'?

That’s quite a tough question because I know what my headcanon endgame was for both characters, but it’s not just a season destination, it’s their ultimate destination. Therefore, I’m not exactly sure where they would be by the season 3 finale, not to mention that the whole finale arc would be changed. Either way, I’ll try to make some broad and probably inaccurate predictions.

Camille O’Connell

She would have dealt with her vampirism arc and realized she could help the humans even as a vampire, fulfilling her destiny.

Consequently, there would be nothing keeping her and Klaus apart anymore and they could finally be together. We would probably have gotten a sex scene.

She would have kicked Aurora’s ass even if she was asleep and probably help kill Lucien with her dark objects.

If by any chance the end of the season remained the same, with the Mikaelsons under a spell, she would undoubtedly fight side by side with Hayley to bring them back. And it probably would have taken them less than 5 years.

Davina Claire

See, this is where things get complicated. I don’t think that if Davina were still alive by the end of the season Marcel would have felt the need to doom the entire Mikaelson family and put Klaus through all that pain.

She would still probably defeat the ancestors with Vincent’s help.

She would have found a cure for Kol’s curse which prevented him from being forced by the ancestors to kill her.

I’m not sure whether she would want to side with Marcel against the Mikaelsons, or help him realize that he wouldn’t be any happier after causing their downfall. It depends on the circumstances under which she would have been saved, and I can’t really speculate any further with so little information.
