Do you think a genuine redemption could work for Elijah?
No. I don't think a genuine redemption could work for any Mikaelson and I'll give various reasons.
The Originals already tried doing that with Klaus by making him Hope's father, which was awful: it didn't work, if anything his daughter just made him slightly softer exclusively towards his family but he was the same person he was at the start of season one and at the end of season five, with a few character change. Or with Kol, they made Davina be the girl who suddenly heals a thousand years of anger issues and emotional abuse.
Elijah is a thousand years old, and one of the most strongest vampires to exist at one point. While I do think he's better than his siblings in some points, at the end of the day he continues to be a bad person. A character redemption is, essentially, a bad person/a character with bad start becoming a good person and I just can't see that with any Mikaelson.
Elijah acknowledges he does things wrong and that his family is generally bad, and while he justifies this in the name of family it's just an excuse because no matter what, it's wrong. As Vincent rightfully said, the Mikaelson are selfish egocentric fanatics, and they always find the way to be back on top no matter what or how, and it usually involves violence and suffering.
With the way the Mikaelson siblings and Elijah himself behave, it's impossible for any of them to be able to have a redemption, not just because of how they act but also because his family is literally royalty in the supernatural world and everyone is either afraid of them or wants them dead, usually both. Let's put it this way: he apologizes for hurting x person, and is actually remorseful and wants to be better, but at the end of the day it doesn't matter because his family has infinite enemies, and he'll have to kill, betray and torture again.
It is a vicious circle from which he could not escape, not even death could make him stop being the person he is, and I think this about all the Mikaelson. They're really interesting characters, but such bad persons it's comical.
And, extremely unpopular opinion, but Elijah and Klaus did deserve to die. They were both awful people, but death was way too good for them. And this is coming from someone who absolutely adores both characters.

still in the originals topic, i can't stress enough with the fact that camille was absolutely one of the top five characters. she had great writing, leah pipes delivered a amazing performance, she has parallel storylines some people cross their heart and hope to die swearing by dear life she does not but she has she has a great plot and every single person in that show respected her greatly, even mikael and esther. he recognized her for the warrior heart she had. elijah saying he liked her spirit and that she lived gracefully. davina had cami as a figure of protection. josh was a close friend. vincent was never the same after she's gone. rebekah saying that klaus would listen to her but never to them. freya, that barely knew camille, respecting her autonomy and trying to save her. aurora admired camille's strength, even tho she absolutely hated her. marcel was in love with her, and loved her after their relationship end, for who she was. hayley had a close friendship with cami to the point that they plotted plans together multiple times and hayley is showed devastated after cami dies. kol bringing cami's memory to make a point to klaus, years after she's gone. finn almost fell in love with her. let's not even start with klaus, whose camille's was with no doubt, the epic love. she was the love of his life. kill camille was a ridiculous mistake and the show never recovered from it.

And what if I said that the TVDU fandom’s hatred for Tyler, Vincent, and Marcel not wanting to be slaves to the Mikaelson family has racist undertones…
Would that be a reach?
No it isn’t. Tvdu fans have a history of being racist/sexist/homophobic etc so…go to Reddit or lurk on some conversations here 🤷🏽‍♀️. I joked once but daring to be anything but white in tvdu in itself is a crime to these fans.
Mikaelson fans will deny until the bitter end that Marcel wasn’t treated differently because he was their black relative. When the writing and the dialogues that are said by the Mikaelson’s say otherwise. This idea that the adopted black child was a stain on the family but the white biological one is the savior. Why do the Mikaelson’s feel so comfortable mocking Marcel’s past? Why do fans feel the need to bash Aya/Celeste/Gia for Haylijah?? Marcel and Rebekah are acceptable technically because fans do not see him as family. For example: if Kol and Hope started dating you’d see an uproar by fans lol. (Sorry for the ince.st comment but that family tree is a circle anyways)
Vincent gets praised for snapping at the Mikaelson’s but his goals often aligns with there’s. I see all the time that Bonnie should’ve been more like Vincent. Hm, Vincent is still doing people’s bidding lol. No one can name anything personal about Vincent’s life either…
Tyler was upset Klaus ruined his life. Klaus killed him, enslaved him twice, made him leave town and he’s supposed to shut up so Klaus can play the hero in these fantasizes?
People can claim there’s no racism in TVDU but doesn’t excuse the fact that the POC actors and characters still got less than the others.

While I found Ivy and Vincent cute in TO, of course, the writers had to kill her off, leaving Vincent alone again. I wished him and Eva were written differently as a couple.
Imagine if Eva and Vincent did survive as a married couple. What if they did have their baby? Instead of that horrible, Eva sacrificing kids (a way to permanently kill her off so that Rebekah could be the one in her body) and that ridiculous Hollow/Inadu storyline. Another storyline that again reduced the WOC as this evil monster who was murderous and crazy and powerful because... why again? Also, I'm not sure if I remember it well, but didn't the writers allude to Eva and Vicent's unborn child becoming a sacrificed to the Hollow/Inadu? Just... sick.
Anyway, the covens were already looking up to Vincent and wanted him to become the next Regent after Josephine died. He and Eva could've been a power couple/elders for the covens in NOLA if they wanted to, of course. Vincent, stepping down to protect his wife and unborn, would've been an interesting story, too.
They were individually lauded as powerful witches in their community and by the regent herself. Together, they'd have made a stand against the vampires in the city for their people.
Finally, why could we not just get one wholesome (power) couple navigating the supernatural world as a growing family? A ⚫️ couple at that, too.

The Originals....
Vincent deserved more than to be a donor for Keelin and Freya! Also Freya and Keelin never should've got together! Freya treated them badly just like the damn Mikaelson she is. F*ck the Mikaelsons!!! 🔥🔥🔥

Pleasure
Bonnie Bennett Rarepair Bash: Day 9
Vincent Griffith/Bonnie Bennett
Tumblr media
The humidity is suffocating in its entirety as Bonnie moves her body to the live music thumping through NOLA’s town square. She can feel the sweat run its way down her spine as her baby hairs stick to her face. Bonnie’s also intimately aware of the magic soaking the area bringing a whole level of erotic feeling to the dancing.
Bonnie can feel someone's eyes locked on her which pushes her to continue dancing. She started out dancing for herself, now she’s dancing for him. She’s rolling her hips when she feels him press against her back. A slight sigh escapes Bonnie as he runs his hands slowly up her sides. Then down her arms, when he reaches her hands, he starts to lead the dance. Bonnie is more than happy to let the man soaked in magic lead their dance.
Their bodies roll together, constantly touching each other as they continue to dance. Their magic intertwines, testing boundaries and the power of each other. Bonnie feels almost drunk on the feeling, she lets her eyes flutter close. A slight hum escapes her as one of his hands runs up her stomach, between her breasts, and settles lightly on her throat. Bonnie lets her body lean back against him.
“Vincent.” It comes out breathy, softly, and with an almost drunk quality to it. A low chuckle escapes Vincent as Bonnie’s body goes pliant against his, he marvels at the complete trust and surrender she gifts him.
“Hello my light. What a pleasure it is to see you here.” A slight purr escapes Bonnie as she lets her head drop onto his shoulder. His hips roll against her and Bonnie puts one of her hands into his back jean pocket.
“Hello my darkness.”

i've seen it a lot so this is just my two cents but i don't think that?? new orleans witches are powerless outside of new orleans that's always been an odd thing people claimed to me
they can do magic outside of new orleans they just practice ancestral magic in the city because that's where their ancestors were consecrated and it makes them stronger??? they don't just. lose the ability to practice magic (obviously, considering the ancestral well was destroyed in season three and vincent was still able to do magic in season four. followed up by them restoring it in season 4 but making davina the keeper of it all and, in season 5, releasing all the ancestors from the ancestral well while still being able to practice magic afterwards). not to mention papa tunde said he practices ancestral magic but wasn't from new orleans so obviously there are other ancestor aligned covens in the world but he, in new orleans, could use their magic anyway?? keep in mind that the ancestors that we've seen are specifically on a plane separate from the other side & the plane everyone's living in and the harvest is the thing that restores power to them for witches to use
sooo. YEAH. to me it would seem like they're still fully capable of doing magic, it just wouldn't be drawn from the ancestors (which only boosts their strength to begin with). it'd be their own power. which, for witches who leave their covens anyway (such as davina, who was not only able to do magic after leaving the coven BUT ALSO after being shunned by new orleans ancestors & witches alike), are already doing that??

I love how Vincent's hands were rated E for everybody whether that be Klaus, Marcel, Freya, or even Cami. He spoke his MIND when one of them did something shady 😭

episode 19 showed that Camille wasn't only important to Klaus but to everyone on the show. Freya barely knew her and was still mourning her. Davina risked her life, and so did Vincent just for the sake of trying save her. Marcel is showed crying. Josh is not seeing but mentioned as someone Cami loved and knew enough to leave him personal possessions. we knew Hayley kept in touch with Camille even when Klaus and Cami weren't talking and she loved Camille as a friend so much that she was willing to take hope's blood if that meant Cami would have a chance. even Kol show some feelings towards the fact Camille's is dead. you can't just ignore the fact that she was THEE HEART OF THEIR HISTORY. she was something that somehow kept them connected, stable and offered not only Klaus but also Vincent a light in dark times. hell, Rebekah has scenes where even she aknowledge Cami's importance to all of them and she's barely there. Camille could never be reduced to "a replacement blonde" or "the annoying human" or "the love interest". She was and will always remain being the person who lead Klaus in a kindness path and not only him. It was a shame the way they did her character, although everyone knows why Leah Pipes could no longer endure playing Camille. still... The Originals absolutely suffered in storyline and quality after she's gone.
