Rule number one when you decide to be friends with benefits with someone: no feelings. Number two, nobody could find out. The main reason for the second rule was the fact the both of you were drivers, Formula One drivers. Him at Ferrari, you at Alpha Tauri.

You had camera’s following your every step, being the first woman in this modern era to have a seat at one of the teams in the Formula One world. You worked your ass off, and people knew. You made sure people knew, because you were proud of your achievements.

He, however, was also a big thing in the media, especially after his wins, but now because of the lack of wins. Charles Leclerc, driver for Scuderia Ferrari, a championship contender in these first few races, a second place or third place contender later on.

The moment he saw your face on his phone, his Instagram feed filled with pictures of you, he was speechless. Two things crossed his mind. The first being the breath that he missed, because you were, according to the Monegasque, breath takingly beautiful. The second thing was shock, not thinking a female would be in Formula One this soon.

He was happy, because this would mean things would get spicy, exciting and different in and around the paddock, on and off the track. He couldn’t wait till those Barcelona testing days, the days he would see you in person, the days he would introduce himself, and make friends, because who didn’t want to befriend the only female driver in Formula One.

The day you arrived at the track, peoples faces turned around instantly. Pierre was talking to Charles and Carlos, talking about their winter break, and of course your name entered the conversation pretty fast.

‘’Yeah, she’s amazing, and freaking fast!’’ Pierre exclaimed, explaining how the two of you met to the Ferrari drivers. ‘’I’m curious to see how she performs between the guys.’’ He then adds, his head turning around once your voice joined their conversation.

‘’I’ll beat all of you in the first laps.’’ You joked, hand resting on the Frenchman’s shoulder, your hair moving with the wind, the sun doing your tan good justice. ‘’y/n!’’ Pierre smiled, turning around to wrap his arms around you, hugging you as your arms found their way around his shoulders. ‘’Hey Pedro.’’ You replied, receiving chuckles from both Ferrari drivers.

Those few days in Barcelona were an experience, one of the best you’ve had so far. The speed of the cars, the track, the different weather updates, mid practice changes, pitstops, all things you had at W-series as well, but 10 times faster here. You loved it, the adrenaline it gave you, all the interviewers wanting to talk to you, the thousand of followers you gained, it made you confident.

The final day of practice, you were packing your suitcase in your hotel room, music blasting through your air pods as you danced along the music. You didn’t hear the knocks on the hotel room door, or the voice that was calling your name. Once you finished packing you decided it was a good idea to go downstairs to grab some breakfast, seeing the fact you had an early practice session today. Pierre had the afternoon session.

However, the moment you opened your door, you let out a soft scream, eyes widening a little as your hand rose to your ears to take out your air pods. Once you took them out, your other hand went to your chest, deep breaths trying to calm you down as you watch the Ferrari driver laugh in front of you.

‘’Sorry, didn’t mean to scare you.’’ He chuckled, his hand resting on your upper arm. You slowly looked up into his eyes, a kind smile on your face as you shook your head. ‘’No, it’s fine, I just didn’t expect someone to be in front of my door at… 7 am.’’ You smiled, fixing your hair.

Truth be told, you found him attractive, who didn’t find Charles Leclerc attractive? Exactly. Being the only female driver meant you for sure got a lot of male attention, which you didn’t mind. But it also meant getting quite some attention from this man in front of you, something you didn’t seem to mind at all.

‘’Yeah, I eh, was wondering if you wanted to get breakfast together, you have the morning session too right?’’ He smiled at you, his tongue sliding over his lips which made your heart beat a little faster.

‘’I do, are you stalking me already Leclerc?’’ You teased, closing the door behind you as you walked towards the stairs, turning your head to watch the guy dressed in full black chuckle, before he made his way towards you.

‘’Nah, I’m just well aware of who I’m on track with every session.’’ He replied, a smirk on his lips as he watched you walk down the stairs. He couldn’t lie, there was a massive attraction to you from his side, and somehow Charles hoped it didn’t stay at just friends.

And it didn’t. Ever since that moment in Barcelona, the two of you flirted, not wanting to be in trouble, so you decided to do it secretly, making sure nobody knew about the activities the two of you were up to. The both of you knew it couldn’t be a relationship, seeing the fact you were both drivers, for different teams.

However, you mutually agreed it wouldn’t get that far. It was simply flirty, joking, teasing each other. Innocent, at first.

But everything changed after you were back at the track where it all started. Barcelona, the Spanish GP. Charles was frustrated after the race, in which he suffered a loss of power, after leading with a 13 second advantage. You knew he was frustrated, so you decided to see him in the hotel later that evening, hoping everybody would already be asleep.

You gently lifted your hand to knock on his door, a sigh escaping your lips when you saw the Monegasque open the door. ‘’Hey.’’ ‘’hey..’’

You entered, feet moving to the couch almost instantly as you sat down, eyes meeting his as he leaned against the door. ‘’Shit race.’’ You replied, a weak smile on your lips. ‘’You could say that.’’ He mumbled, hands in the pockets of his joggers as he walked towards you, taking a seat on your left.

‘’Power issues?’’ You asked, and he simply nodded, his gaze being at the floor, tongue moving over his lips again. Fuck. You swallowed thickly, looking down at the floor as well, until his hand grabbed yours. Your eyes shot up, looking directly into his as he leaned in to tuck some hair behind your ear.

‘’This is making it a little better though.’’ He whispered, your faces being inches apart, his warm breath hitting your nose which made you shiver, in a good way. ‘’Me being here, or everybody else being asleep?’’ You replied, eyes closing as he leaned down, his lips brushing your neck slightly. ‘’Both.’’

That was the start of something, a ritual, a deal. A deal the both of you had to stick to, desperately.

That day in Barcelona was the start of more bad luck on Charles’ side. More DNF’s, less podiums, less wins. Sure, there was a part of you that felt bad for him, because he didn’t deserve this, he worked his ass off every time, and got stabbed in the back by either the strategists, or the car itself.

‘’I fucking can’t believe this!’’ Charles walked inside your hotel room, almost instantly, as soon as you opened the door for him. Hungary 2022, a frustration for the Ferrari driver.

‘’Charles.’’ You followed him, grabbing his hands as you notice his temper, his anger, not towards you, but himself and his team.

‘’Why the fuck did they put me on the hard compound? Just, why? They saw how bad it was performing with the other teams, did your team put you on the hards?’’ He asked, looking at how you shook your head. ‘’No, of course not, of course they didn’t because they have actual brains, unlike the guys on my team, fucking hell.’’

You frowned, leaning up to press your lips against his, pulling him down by his neck. Sure, his strategists didn’t do the best job, and you understood his frustration, but there were two stories here. ‘’They are trying their best.’’ You sighed against his lips, feeling his grip tighten on your ass.

‘’They should try harder.’’ He groaned, walking back till you were feeling the wall against your back. His hand slowly grabbed your leg, lifting it up so he could press his body against yours, your leg wrapping around his waist.

‘’And so should you.’’ You sighed, which made him stop his movements, lips separating as he took a step back, looking at you. ‘’I am.’’

‘’I know, Charles, I know.’’ You sighed, smiling weakly. ‘’But there are two parts of the strategic decisions during a race.’’ You explained. ‘’Open your mouth, tell them, talk to them.’’ You said, squeezing his hands. ‘’You’re the driver, you know what feels good, tell them, make the decisions too.’’ You nodded, cupping his cheeks with your hands, forcing him to look at you.

‘’Helping the competition now huh?’’ He asked, a playful smirk on his face. He knew you were right, and that’s what made you special to him. Instead of agreeing with him, telling him he was right and that he tried everything he could, you told him what he didn’t do right. You weren’t just going to say yes to everything he said, but you were also able to get into a discussion with him, tell him the facts, how things were actually going. And he appreciated that, he loved that.

‘’Just giving some tips to a friend.’’ You said before closing the space between the two of you again, because that’s what you were, friends. Simply friends, that’s it. And he hated that, because secretly, he wanted to be more than just that, than just friends.

He wanted to tell you, so bad, but he knew it would mean he broke your deal, the deal you made back in Barcelona, rule number one.

‘’What’s the matter with you?’’ You asked the driver, the guy that was laying next to you in bed, refusing to leave after the passionate sex the two of you just had. Charles was cuddly, not like he usually was, he didn’t leave immediately after, but he stayed, and somehow you liked that.

‘’Nothing.’’ He replied. ‘’Are you sure?’’ You frowned, turning to your side, hand resting under your chin as you put your hair over one shoulder, eyes narrowing to meet his. ‘’There’s something.’’ You murmured, poking his cheek with your finger, watching as he took a deep breath, tongue sliding over his lips like he usually did.

‘’You don’t want to know.’’ He sighed, not wanting to look you in the eyes. Your frown got deeper as you turned in the bed, sitting up straight, the covers up to your chest as you turned to him fully. ‘’Actually, I do.’’ You said, watching the Monegasque take the same position as you, face turning around to face you. His hand moved up to cup your cheek, both your eyes closing as your lips connected once more, but this kiss was different, and you both knew.

‘’Charles…’’ You sighed against his lips, receiving a groan back, his hands pulling you even closer, because he needed you close, and not just as a friend.

‘’Charles, we can’t.’’ You said, pulling away from the loving kiss you just shared. Charles looked at you, his hand slowly reaching for yours, but you pulled yours away. ‘’No.’’ You said, a frown on your forehead.

‘’But, I like you, fuck, I love you, y/n.’’ He said, which made you close your eyes. ‘’No you don’t.’’ You simply replied, your voice almost being a whisper. ‘’I do.’’ He responded, trying to reach for your hand again, but you got out of the bed and threw him his clothes after putting on one of your shirts and panties.

‘’You should go.’’ You said, swallowing thickly. It was the end of the season, but you were still known as drivers, from different teams. ‘’y/n…’’

‘’Go, Charles, now.’’ You said, looking up into his eyes, fighting the tears in your own eyes, arms wrapped around your body. He knew he fucked up, big time, so he was quick in putting on his clothes, as well as his shoes and he stormed off, opening the door and walking out of your hotel room.

He crossed your friend, the one you were here with for the final race of the season, but Charles was so in his own mind space, he simply walked past the girl, and stormed off. Lola walked towards you, since Charles left your room door wide open, and watched the guy walk down the stairs.

‘’Who was that?’’ She asked, turning her head to look into your direction. You sighed, your eyes never leaving the back of the guy that slowly found its way into your heart. ‘’A friend.’’ You mumbled, Lola walking past you to go inside the hotel room, placing the boxes of pizza on the table.

In my little rewrite version, he's like. His entire life is doomed from the start. Grew up with a neglectful and pushy family where he felt constantly scared and weak in, making him seek control in other parts of his life (why he's so aggressive and rude, later becoming outright violent)

During sky city, it's Lukas who's fighting against him on the bridge, and after a struggle and Aiden's whole shpeel about Lukas abandoning them (aiden, maya, gill) like nothing for the new order of the stone

Anyway . Copper golems (that belong to the founder) appear and latch onto the guy's legs, and yk the storm during that bridge scene? Yeah. The dude gets struck by lightning with the force of five dying neuron stars and then just... wobbles back and forth.... before the copper golems let go, and he falls off the side into the water

While the blazerods are stuck in Sky City as it is being rebuilt on the ground they find an opportunity to break out and they book it to the portal, get lost for a little bit in the Atlas (remade portal hallway. Imagine those images of like, illusion staircases where gravity is weird. And theres stairs and halls full of portals wherever you look. Like that.) And they pass into like the worst possible place ever that is just CRAWLING with illagers

They get trapped, thrown in jail, tortured a wee bit before maya and gill are taken dor experimentation and Aiden was supposed to be the next (his arms were already cut off, and he saw what became of maya and gill after they got experimented on) but two new arrivals were found so they decided to stop temporarily

I AM NNNOT going to continue the story from there . Because it includes another character and an oc i want to like. Build up towards

In any case, skipping ahead like a few pages when aiden manages to get out and is now travelling with 2 people (one of which is more than happy to use him as bait or a human shield), guy really just wants his arms back and feels stupid and scared without. Arms. Hes losing hope UNTIL they get to a certain dimension with a city full of these advanced redstone-loving folk

In aiden's endless luck they get into the equivalent of the black market and they find people willing to give aiden new limbs for free IF he agrees to the terms and conditions

... the terms and conditions were "we can freely experiment on ur ass for as long as we want :3" and thats. Yeah thats what the tinkerers did. They were super proud of themselves and even slapped on their logo on him

Aiden is completely useless at walking and using his mech spider legs for a long while till he eventually manages to grasp it enough to keep going. Hallelujah !! He eventually gets time to process everything that happens to him lol (he feels miserable for a while)

- enjoy embroidery. He's kind of shabby at it, but it takes his mind off of things. He also writes small anthology stories in a wee stolen journal he makes up when his mind drifts

- The jacket he's wearing is stolen, lmao

- when his jaw was ripped out and replaced, so was his teeth; they make a loud clank noise if he snaps his teeth. Like a beartrap!! Also a strong bite strength

- i like to think he made a small makeshift funeral for maya and gill despite having nothing of them. It helped him cope a lil

- is surprisingly kinder to kids who aren't like, loud, or overly annoying.

- misses having hands sometimes (misses being able to hold pencils normally, or feeling the fur of animals, or warmth and cold, or holding things, etc etc...)

- Loves fighting without a weapon in stupid amounts. He'll scrap w a skeleton for fun, and it's even easier with his edward scissorhands ass implants. The reason his jacket has that fire charge burn is because he got distracted with "playing" w a ghast

- in a similar fashion, likes play-fighting (i say play-fighting, but i mean like, full-on blood and bruises but without ill intent when i say fighting)

His fav mobs are creepers. Has attempted to get close to one before. In addition, really likes the nether as well.

- Given he can't yell as much anymore (though he will still be the loudest man on earth if something scares him) (think incyn from neocranium streams), he's overly condescening and sarcastic instead.

- His right pupil is all janked up because his face got slashed; the reason why was because he was trying to fight off the illagers that were taking Maya + Gill. Still believes he could've tried harder.

- occasionally loses sleep either because of adrenaline, stress, nightmares, or just because of his already abysmal sleep schedule.

^ not a morning person.

- is, in fact, still super competitive and will brag about any victory ever. Still learning not be a sore loser (its a work in progress, but its there)

- has dark humour in the sense he'll try and joke about things in the worst moments, also a bit grim or rude in the same way. He'll laugh about stupid shit in general, though.

^ when he laughs loud enough and for too long, steam will also come out his jaw vents/mouth (not to the same amount if he was to scream and overload his throat implant, its lighter and not as obtrusive)

- has a really good knack for stealing things and negotiating with traders. He likes doing it, too. He feels awfully proud of himself when he manages to pull it off.

- His little antenna thing at the side of his head emotes (whirrs up and down or twists slightly from side to side. Think warrior cat fanart or something.)

- can come off as rude (and he is, dont get me wrong), but sometimes it is just genuinely being blunt or like, brutally honest with his thoughts. He doesn't even do it intentionally, it just becomes a reflex lmfao

- Will ramble on about the history and art and process regarding architecture if he can. He'll get embarrassed about going off on a tangent for so long and will shut up but like a couple months later he will absolutely start up again

- likes using his mech spider legs to skewer zombies. Morbid stress relief, but it's still mildly satisfying to him.

- has a really bad fear of storms after the whole sky city thing; it makes him have what is essentially flashbacks to everything to the bridge fight and after it (aka, deaths of his previously closest friends). Feels similarly to copper golems and will like, discreetly knock them over or push them away using his mech-spider legs

- wont admit it for the life of him but actually really enjoys feeding birds. Wont say it because he feels like thats something people over the age of 60 do when they're having a late-life crisis.

- easy to annoy thanks to his temper

Currently reading: Trick question! There is what I am MEANT to read, and what I am ACTUALLY reading.

What I am MEANT to read is To Shape a Dragon's Breath, by Moniquill Blackgoose, which has absolutely all the elements I need to love a book. The problem is that my brain absolutely refuses moving further than Chapter 1, and I've been stuck for MONTHS. The good news is that when it happens, I usually struggle until the moment my brain finally snaps and I read the whole book in an afternoon. Wait for me, Moniquill Blackgoose, I'll soon be raving about your book.

What I am ACTUALLY reading is... well, it's more re-reading, but I'm going through Happy Hour by Inkflavored and Keep the Light Shining by Clydeside, two Yu-Gi-Oh AUs that have been incredibly healing for me in the past months, for very different reasons. I wanted to re-experience them to see if I could turn them into fanbinding projects (if the authors give me the authorisation of course, but I haven't reached this level of confidence yet, let's give it time.)

Currently watching: Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS.

Do you believe me if I tell you that it was an accident? It kinda was though! I wasn't the one who played the first episodes I just kept going afterwards. That said, I have fully adopted Yusaku. I kind of wish he could meet Philip from Kamen Rider W. Things would go so well.

Currently writing: this one is plain cruel, because after a drought spell of almost 2 years, I finally feel like getting back into writing (thank you, current obsession.)

I have 3 WIPs, one PWP because I like a challenge, one backstory of a character that has basically become my OC, and one AU that @wisyhana created and that I'm using as a wonderful sandbox. I am between 2k and 5k into each, nothing is complete, I'm losing my mind. But at least I'm writing again, right?

Spicy/sweet/savoury: Okay yes no it's cruel again and you will not make me pick just one.

If you've followed me these past years you know that I have completely lost my sense of taste between 2020 and 2023. I was lucky enough, and honestly even the specialised doctor said it was a miracle, to have most of it come back to me abruptly in March 2023, after 3 years unable to enjoy a bit of chocolate or a nice gratin. Some tastes are lost forever, but so few compared to what came back that I just can only be very very grateful and very confident in saying SPICY SWEET SAVOURY I'LL TAKE THEM ALL. I LOVE TASTES. really big fan of daisy! im in the middle of designing a lynx character rn and im v much having daisy as a point of inspo. what are some big inspiration/thoughts for her design?

whoa!!! thanks for asking :] so identity stuff but basically in high school I created 2 dog fursonas and for the longest time I kinda just. super aligned with dogboy online, but while exploring gender stuff I've also been trying to push back against parts of myself that I've just kinda accepted and run with since high school! so enter catgirl fursona ideation

I've been really into greens and flowers since like 2021 or so, for a while I was just taking a lot of pics of nature cuz it fit and it made me fall in love with weird greens. a lot of this manifested in grove, but I still wanted to keep the green and floral theming for daisy cuz they're nice, but I was thinking about something a bit less sparklefurry for her. I've also always been into the idea of piercings so the industrial piercing was like, an ideal thing I requested

now that I'm thinking about it, the idea really formed when I thought about the name Peat Moss for an idea of like a cat PNGtuber sona, and I kinda repurposed the idea. but to go with the theme I was imagining like, a grey coloration overall but with mossy green accents

the last inspiration piece of the puzzle was choosing a lynx specifically. I was kinda super into the catgirl vibes of Kuri from @coochiekrab, and I was also really enjoying some of the lynx designs crisstail had done, so I thought a lynx would be cute as a specific kinda cat. I think after having 2 general dog fursonas for so long, I wanted something a bit more specific instead of just like a housecat vibe, ya know?

I really was happy with the end design of commissioning grove as a character design, so I decided to take all these details to @immogoat who did the actual designing, and I sent over a few color palette ideas, kinda still internally focused on the idea of something muted/common but with a colorful accent. and overall, I really liked the options he gave me!! I think I was a bit torn between 3, 4, 5, and 8, but in the end I went with 8 (with some tweaks). I'll also say, the gauge piercing was totally the artist's idea and now it's one of my fav features of daisy!! overall, top tier design experience ^w^

Just speaking from my experience, but an artist usually have several ways of kicking off a drawing. If I start off drawing a character without actually knowing what I want to draw, I face the same exact problem as you where all the characters are just there! Standing! That isn’t a bad thing, however. I sketch a lot (roughly and fast ngl) so I immediately shift to the next drawing and considered those my warmups until a solid idea pops up. I love focusing emotions so I often start from drawing emotions on the character before coming up with scenarios for them.

Another way of kicking off a drawing is to start with a general idea. It can be a concept, a dialogue, or a composition.

Examples of said ideas I can recall:

•eremin kissing in a wide bloody background

•Eren holding armin’s face w that bloodied hand

•Flojean in a cell. Floch lives

•Gen with his hand as foreground

Concepts can start forming when you’re drawing so you keep adding in the details, or they can even change completely midway depends on you. No need to commit to it, these are just something to get your engine running!

I firmly believe that putting stories in art make it so much more special. My favorite artist is a comic artist, and they express so much and so well in even the smallest panel, their art is truly my inspiration! So as long as you got your story down and try to express it, every piece of your art is unique in its own way💖

(Also if you notice, all my backgrounds are suuuuper lazy made. I barely drawing them, most are a bunch of gradient and colors. But that’s the whole point, as long as the colors indicate what, where, and the atmosphere I don’t feel the need to draw them out!)

I find my art very rough most of the times, but the skill to let go “refining art” and prioritize dynamic and overall atmosphere are essential. It’s also always beneficial to practice drawing people on different angles and pose because it broadens your options for composition!

One last thing: everyone has a personal library in their head, whether it’s for stories, compositions, cool dialogues, lighting, character designs, music, or more. Your library was built according to your interests and what you consume. Personally I LOVE reading fanfics, watching films and series and animations of the genres I’m into. Watching more media will always give you ideas, once in a while you can go back to your library and think what would you like to see that suits your taste and haven’t been done yet.

hi! i don't want to uncover the drama again on twitter so i'll answer here, but thank you and i appreciate your apology. i'm glad you gave your viewpoint a second thought and i hope your situation can change for the better. I genuinely do understand where the jealousy comes from because I've been in the position where I wasn't able to get good seats at concerts or attend special events, not only for skz but for other interests I've had when I was younger, as well as having resentment against fans who were born rich since my parents were pretty strict. Personally though it motivated me to work harder for what I want that is now possible for me to do with skz (even if it took a few years), so I hope you can take this as a message to not give up with your dreams ^^

Lastly, I don't think there's anything that makes a fan "not good enough" as long as they support skz and other stays.
