— During rehearsals band mates will witness the two of you nudging each other, sneaking glances and smiles, and having friendly competitions between the bass and guitar

— But you both deny anything, rolling your eyes and laughing it off

"Hobie, what was that?"

"Hm?"

"Staring at [Name] while he's playing? Actually smiling? You into him or somethin'?"

"No."

— The more the two of you hang out outside the band, the more you grow on each other

— Hobie loves how passionate you are about playing the bass, how well you connect with him and the band

— You love how cocky Hobie is; it tends to lead to friendly competitions and figuring out amazing pieces for the band

— Before you both knew it, you ended up catching feelings

— Confessing was difficult for the both of you, especially considering the stigma around band mates in relationships

— However, Hobie has always been a hell of a rule breaker, and so the two of you began a secret relationship

— Hobie is addicted to the thrill of sneaking around with you

— He loves stealing kisses from you when no one is looking, especially when you complain about getting caught

— Whenever you go out as a band, he manages to sit next to you, keeping a discreet hand on your thigh or back while chatting it up

— The two of you are definitely guilty of lingering gazes, especially during rehearsals and concerts

— Hobie is always finding excuses to announce you and talk about you during concerts, even putting an arm around you, like a "friend" would

— When you're alone, the two of you are all over each other

— It's like you can never get enough of each other, so deprived of public PDA that you have to get whatever you can when you're alone

— Hobie, the songwriter for the band, also starts to write some love songs for the group to play

— This definitely raises some questions to the rest of the band, but they just snicker and whisper to each other as they watch you and Hobie be "just friends"

— Your relationship managed to stay secret for a good three months, which is longer than Hobie expected

— And when you got caught, Hobie truly found it amusing while you remained slightly irritated yet somewhat relieved that the two you can finally truly be together

You laugh quietly as Hobie's pulls you behind the venue, a small smile on his face as well. Yet another thrill of sneaking around after another successful concert. You both deserve to be a couple for a little.

Hobie leans against the wall, pulling you close to him. "You were stunnin' out there, sweetheart. Made it hard to concentra'e."

"My my, seems like you're absolutely obsessed with me." You tease back, hands grabbing onto his arms as you look up at him.

"Now, 's that such a crime?" He responds in a low voice. His hands make it to your waist. "Can't help I have such a handsome boyfriend."

He leans down, lips making contact with yours. He always thought kissing you was so intoxicating, especially with the added rush of sneaking around. He was absolutely obsessed with you.

You kiss back, hands snaking up to grip onto his shoulders. The kiss continues as Hobie holds onto your waist tightly, chasing after the high he's feeling. You shiver at the way Hobie's lip piercing felt on your lips, especially when his tongue swiped at your lower lip to gain entrance.

You pull away with a small smile, eyes lidded. "The band is one wall away, Hobes. What if they-"

"Let 'em." He says, already diving back in for another kiss.

This time you let him explore with his tongue, a soft groan escaping your throat. Sessions like these were common for the two of you, especially after such intense shows. Two sweaty bodies soaking into each other's warmth and making yourselves even more hot.

"[Name], Hobie! Where did-"

The words fall short on your drummer's lips as he looks at the scene in front of him. Your eyes widen as you pull back, shoving Hobie away from you as Hobie just laughs, eyes lidded from the after-glow high.

You glare at him as he smirks at the situation. "You're shit-eating grin is not helping us."

"'s very amusing." He shrugged, pushing himself up from the wall and turning to the band's drummer. He drapes an arm around your shoulders. "Now ya know our dirty li'tle secret."

"Man, now I'm out of twenty bucks." The drummer says, running back to the venue and calling for your band's lead singer.

You roll your eyes as you shove Hobie's arm. "Damn you. Just couldn't resist, huh?" You say as he just lets out another laugh.

"You 'ere into that as much as I was."

You try to walk away after your groan, back into the venue. Hobie grabs your arm to pull you back into him, your back this time on the wall of the building. His arms trap you in as he tilts your chin up.

"Aye, never said we were done, now did I?" He whispers, diving back in for another heated kiss.

Hobie was going to have a lot more fun now that the cat's out of the bag.

It was the early morning, specks of not-so-warm sun would creep to your face and wake you up, Hobie was laying beside you, you didn't try to wake him up, you might as well try to wake up a rock. Hobie was a much heavier sleeper since his spidey senses kicked in, relaxing now that he had a clearer notion of danger, however, your spider senses did the opposite, leaving you alert at all times. You stretched, like a cat, groaning as you sensed the sleep wash off your body and put on sweatpants to go into the kitchen, you'd probably return to bed after eating, it had been almost a month since you were home. Almost a month listening to Miguel tell you that your mission was to "observe and report" an anomaly that may or may not happen. Almost a month of wanting to call off Miguel on his bullshit, for one, having the lamest most half-assed theory of what's "canon" and two, for giving you a boring job away from home.

As you set foot in your kitchen, you saw an unfamiliar figure, you put on a battle stance, who was this person? Why didn't your spidey senses warned you? Were you that tired? You examined how to proceed, the intruder seemed rather small, but you've seen some shit in the spider society and know that age or even species should not be a reason to underestimate your opponent, they were standing still next to the open pantry, they heard you, you run to them in an offensive stance, ready to fight, but she backs down, panics, and apologizes, you feel like a brick was comedically thrown your way as you realize you were about to throw hands with a sixteen year old.

"Ay, mija, I'm sorry-" you blurt out when she explains Hobie let her stay here, and she was also part of the spider society

"Do you think I can eat something? There's a lot of jars in here but I don't know what are they" she asked, still hesitantly

"Yeah, we have yogurt, fruit, granola, eggs"

Gwen accepted the granola, she had thought that Hobie would live off instant ramen or anything of that sorts. As you quietly shared breakfast with (a tense) Gwen, Hobie came into the living room and threw a shirt your way, you were very grateful as you were topless because you couldn't find you pajama shirt this morning (later saw Gwen was wearing it).

Hobie yawned loudly and opened his eyes widely remembering he forgot to introduce you two

"aye crap- forgot you were back, y/n, this' Gwen, 'been letting her crash for a few days"

You side eyed him, playfully feigning an angry expression before eating another bite of breakfast and ignoring him

Your guest saw this interaction and started stimming a bit

"Mornin' Hobie, I- I'm sure I can crash at Peter's or someone else's place tomorrow now that Y/N came back, thank you for letting me stay here" she tried to seem unbothered but it didn't really work

"No, no, I don't mind you staying here, I was just annoyed that this moron Hobie didn't told me and let me scare you this morning, you really can stay as long as you need"

Hobie hugged you from behind and kissed your cheek "no need to get aggressive, luv"

Gwen Stacy had went through a lot. A lot. Losing her best friend, a rather... Difficult relationship with her father, being technically a wanted criminal, but on top of that and more, Gwen was homeless, literally and emotionally.

She saw how some spiders were able to live a let's call it "normal" life, Peter B. Parker being a father, Hobie Brown having a stable relationship, Jessica Drew with a baby on the way, but there were others, Miguel, Peni, and maybe, her, Gwen really thought that she was one of those spidermans that had to fly solo, fight alone, after Peter's passing, she was sure she didn't want "distractions", but then Miles came along, and now he was lost too.

She was grateful for both you and Hobie housing her, and looking out for her, and even if she didn't want to admit it, you gave her a home again. The playful banter, the food waiting for them at home after a concert, your smile in the crowd cheering for both of them, the nicknames, the sleepovers with Pavitr, she had friends again, you and Hobie took the role of older siblings to her and Pav, even when Hobie was a force of chaos, he never badly endangered any of his loved ones.

Gwen was a little shy to admit how natural the domestic dynamic felt, like now, with her accompanying you to get "groceries", you talked the whole way walking across the grafitti filled streets, until getting to an abandoned building, not that she wasn't acquaintanced with crusty old sketchy buildings already (living with you two) but this was no supermarket.

"It doesn't look like there's groceries in here" she said with a quirked brow

"Just you wait" you responded as the door was opened and you said hi to the people inside, she waved back to the strangers that seemed to welcome you two, it was an odd crowd, but weren't all crowds odd? People of all ages, ranging from infants playing, to elders in battle jackets with antifa imagery. There were large windows that let the sun light up the place, this was probably a mansion in its glory days, multiple pots with different herbs and flowers were hanged in the walls, and a big open gate that showed the garden, with a small chicken coop and full of colorful and lively crops of vegetables and fruit trees.

"Ready to shop?" You asked with a toothy smile

"What?" Gwen followed you to the garden

You handed her a basket "Take what you'll eat, I'll get mine and Hobie's food"

"Like... Just take it?"

"Yep, take what you'll need, no more, no less, if you want eggs, they're inside, trust me, you don't want to get in that coop, el gallo is a fucking menace"

She took some fruits and other goods, you handed a lady another basket and then left with Gwen

"Did we just got all this for free?" The blonde asked staring at the basket full of food and ingredients

"Not really, I made a basket of pan de pascua and a pot of ropa vieja"

"Oh, so is like a trade, that makes more sense"

"I mean, if you ain't got nothing you can still take, you can also help around the garden and stuff. You see, Gwen, you can't be an anarchist if you don't give a shit about the people around you, the people in need. In a world like this, kindness is revolutionary."

Maybe Gwen was starting to understand a lot more than her canon had prepared for her.

I don't think Hobie talks a lot, like I think it's a lot of quick short smart ass responses. I just don't think he'd like going on about something for a long time (except maybe his intro).

Like I think instead of him talking a lot in general, he'd keep the responses short in group conversation, but once the two of you are alone expect long winded rants and tangents about the political rallies that he's been putting on or random things that just fall out of his mouth.

I think he does a lot of nonverbal communication. A lot of nodding or motioning to stuff.

At first you'd think he's probably doing it to be funny or an ass, because everytime you lost something at his house and ask him if he knows where it is, he always just points in a vague direction.

Either that or he'll just flat out get up and grab it for you, because he has this uncanny ability that if you set something down in his house, he knows where it is.

Sometimes he can get away with not talking for a whole conversation, and sometimes it's a game with him to see how long he can get somebody to go on without any of his actual input, but the other half he prefers it that way.

At the end of the day, he's more of a listener than a talker, and he'd much rather listen to the things going on around him than share what's going on in his.

but before you even knew about it.. pav found out before you. he always tried to get you two together after that.

once you found out your crush, hobie, liked you back, you wanted to have a private conversation with him as you grew closer.

the first time he asked you out, you said no.

this was because you wanted him to be okay with you being trans BEFORE you started dating.

you told him it was all happening too fast.

so you went on dates a lot, and he asked you again.

you said no again.

you told him that you wanted to get to know him better, trying to figure out his sexualities, preferences, etc.

once you found out that he was in fact perfectly supportive of the gay, lesbians, AND trans people, you got the courage to tell him.

after you told him, he was so supportive but actually a bit hurt that you would think he didn’t support transgender people

you both started dating and he put a trans pin on his sweater and guitar case.

it got out you were dating, but he never told a soul.

he would fuck up anyone that would say anything about trans people. especially in front of you.

he didn’t tolerate that shit.

when he feels insecure, he’ll explain some super complicated trans-rights shit. that nobody should care, it was no one’s concern, fuck everyone who says anything, etc.

he absolutely loves your body and will smother your chest and private areas in kisses when you get comfortable around him.

this man will love you no matter what.

But this is the first time you’ve been super open about your cycles and how they make you feel with him.

He first noticed that you had been acting more irrational than normal.

Then he noticed the mood swings.

Then he realized you were probably on that time of the month.

Man has no problem with it.

He sits you down and straight up asks if you’re on you period and if you need help with anything.

You started to cry, like HEAVILY.

He immediately pulled you into a hug and started to comfort you

After calming down you explained everything to him, how you hate everything about periods, how everyone treats you horribly because you have them, how you don’t feel valid in your emotions around that time of the month, etc.

While he doesn’t know what it feels like personally, he will do his best to try and understand.

Gets one of those period cramp simulators to try and know exactly how you feel

You appreciate the gesture.

No but really, he will do anything he can to help.

Midol? He’s got it.

Massage? Where do you need it.

Snacks? He’s already swinging to the store to grab what you need.

Heating pad? He’s plugged it in already.

Cuddles? He will immediately pull you in and hold you however you want

Need to relax? He’s got a bath, shower, cozy spot, or whatever ready in a heartbeat. (also he’s not afraid of a little blood, of you know what I mean *Wink wink*)

He’ll use whatever name you want for products and the whole experience, no matter how ridiculous others might think it is.

He wants you to be as comfortable as humanly possible.

He knows that gender dysphoria is a bitch, and he will constantly be calling you cute nicknames and giving you compliments to help you feel better.

It doesn’t matter what’s going on with you, he will always treat you the way you want to be treated.

If you don’t want him to do anything for you during these times, he will respect your wishes.

It all comes down to how you feel, that is what is most important to him.
