Thanks for letting me send a request, love!
How would all four guys respond to finding out their s/o was a fanfic writer? 😜 (Asking because my husband thinks it’s really hot that I write smut 😂)
You're welcome, sweetie! 💖
Hehehehehe 😏 Did he read your amazing smut fics? If yes, I'd love to know how was his reaction. Ya know, my family would freak out if they find out I write smut stuff 😳
Alright *rubbing hands* here we go!
Tumblr media
Typing sounds echoed through your warm bedroom in a cold new yorker night, your fingers being agile moving quickly over the keyboard, writing detailedly your smut idea you've been daydreaming throughout the week.
It's not a smut, it's THE smut. Thanks God you're alone while you write down it.
You heard your window being opened and then you feel a cold breeze, making you feel shivers run down your spine. It must be the wind you thought, without even leave your eyes from your notebook screen and keeping going with your project.
A naughty smirk curled on your lips as you finish your golden idea, pressing the "post" button and publishing your work, letting out a proud sigh and leaning back on your chest. Lifting your hand, you rubbed behind your neck as your head tilted to the side, moaning softly.
You spent a few minutes re-reading your smut fic, and couldn't help but feel wetness between your legs. What a great work you've concluded!
"You didn't tell me that you're a writer." A deep familiar voice whispered a few inches from your ear. You jumped, dropping your chair and landing your hand on the table for support, wide eyes at a massive and intimidating turtle right in front of you; deep blue orbs locked in yours as a cocky smile makes you shiver.
"Leo... Please, tell me you didn't read it..." Of course he did, but even that you're being controlled by shock.
"Why didn't you tell me that you write "prohibited" stories?" He smirked, taking a few steps towards you, his muscles flexing, demonstrating that he's trying to intimidate you; in a lust way.
"I- Uhm... Actually it is a fanfic I-", "fanfic?" he tilted his head, lifting an eyebrow, his attention turned to your computer then back at you. "Yes... Um... I-" before you could finish your sentence, Leonardo warped his arms around you and lifted you, walking towards your bed and laying you carefully on soft sheets. He hovered above your body, landing his elbows on each side of you and pressing his hips against yours. You could feel his hard member against your clothed core.
"Why? Why did you not say to me?" He questioned, his face close to yours, looking deeply into your beautiful eyes. The way he intimates you is unbelievable.
"I- I was afraid you would..."
"Laugh?" He guessed.
"Yes. I was afraid you would make jokes about my hobby" You blushed.
He shook his head, giggling "Why would I do it, love?" He lowered his face towards your shoulder "I loved your story" he whispered on your ear "Would you like to put in practice that smut you wrote?" Leo raised his head and looked down at you, a sexy smirk on his lips.
"Of course" you smirked back. Well, tonight, one of your dreams came true: your smut fic came to life.
Tumblr media
You have a secret. A precious secret that no one knows but you. Even Mikey doesn't have a clue about it. Untill...
Typing on your laptop, you smile. Today you had a fluff idea and couldn't hold yourself back instead of put your imagination in words. The lair was quiet, the boys are training with Master Splinter in their dojo and you took it as opportunity to make your magic.
"What are you doing, angelcakes?" He asked, jumping to your side of the sofa, making you jump by scare "What are you doing here, Mikey? And the training?", "Ah, Master Splinter let us leave training early today. Are ya writing, right?" His baby blue eyes landed on yours. "Um... Yes." You said quickly, closing your laptop and turning your head away from him.
"Cool! What kind of story?".
You gulped. Will he laugh at you? "Just a story-"
"But what kind of story?" He tilted his head, his eyes studying you up and down. You are afraid to say, some people laughed at you when you told about this hobbie.
"Fanfics."
A long silence fell above you, shame filling your body. You prayed for your boyfriend won't say unnecessary things, as your "friends" did in the past. You face him slowly, ready to receive the same bad treatment. His face? A big grin expressed on his lips.
"So?..." You murmued.
Mikey adjust himself closer to you and placed his muscular arm above your shoulders, leaning his head towards the laptop screen "Can I read it??" He asks, exited.
Your eyes went wide. "What- don't you think that I'm crazy or something?" You questioned.
"Why Would I think?" He lock his beautiful baby blue eyes on yours. You look down shrugging. "My sweet, sugar, cupcake, why, in name of universe, would I think that writing fanfics is a crazy thing?".
"Because everyone do think" You giggled, rising your eyes to meet his again.
"I'm not everyone" he continued "And, to me, it is the most amazing thing I've seen someone doing" he pulls you for a hard-long kiss on your cheek, making you groaning by light pain, but you always get blissful when he gives you this affection.
"Can I read your stories? Please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please-"
"Yes! Yes!" You chuckled "But you can't read every single of my fics because..." You froze.
"Because?..."
"Because... I also write... NSFW stuff. Ya know, some of them are just for +18 people..."
"What- What?! Really?" He shouted "Don't worry, angelcakes. I'm old enough to read them!".
"Mikey" you called his attention, joking "Don't lie to me-".
"I'm not! Do you think I'm a baby?"
"You have a child face that confuses me, sweet boy. Make me think that you're a cute baby!" You rub playfully his cheeks.
"Hey!" He protested, making you laugh.
Tumblr media
"So... You write fanfics?" the red-banded terrapin asked slowly, glancing at you with an unread expression, you do not know if he thinks that your hobby is a bullshit or a reason to be mocked. Actually, you weren't shy about telling him, but the point is that he could react on a way you would not approve.
"Yes, I do." You smile softly "And I love what I do".
He lower his face and let out a quick giggle, and you frowned your eyes over his behavior "What?" You questioned, heart racing.
"Nothing. It's just... You don't need to explain, love. The bright in your eyes when you explain already tells for you.
Okay, now you're blushing. To him, you're so cute and pretty when your cheeks is filled with the color of his bandana, and knowing you write fanfics makes him even more excited.
He smile, rising his hand and placing under your chin, obligation you to look at his emerald eyes "There's no reason to feel shame. So-" he smirked "will you let me read your art?"
You got shocked.
"Are you sure?-"
"Why not?"
"Because I also write unsuitable content, if you got it" You turned your eyes to the ground, your face red as a tomato. Raph's pupils dilated, his mouth agape.
"Even that. Will ya allow me?"
You share a shy smile "Of course. But don't make joke about me!".
"Hehehe I promise won't. Well, I'll try!" He lifted his hands in defense.
"Raph!" You laugh. You have to admit it, you live his sincere personality. And you couldn't wait to watch his reaction after he reads your works.
Tumblr media
For a fanfic writer like you, you have your ways to catch inspirations. And where do you get from? A nerdy and sexy terrapin. His handsome appearance is somehow appealing in your opinion. Like, literally. Sometimes you ask yourself how did you fall in love with him, but one thing is guaranteed, his company is what makes you feel safe and happy, and you always are thankful for that.
You are using your laptop in the main space of the lair, enjoying your alone moment to write down your idea you had early. Your boyfriend made you have this idea, you smirked. Just watching him work on the garbage truck, his slim but tonifed muscles movings as his agilited hands make the magic, makes your mind go wild. I mean, wild. God, you wish his hands work on you right now.
While you wait for him—who is in his lab doing whatever you don't know—your imagination is being written, as the letters appear on screen.
"Hey Dove, are you ready? What are you doing?" He asked suddenly, noticing that you are busy with your work.
You jumped, the laptop almost fell off to the ground but thanks God you were quick to grab it before the worst. "Hey love, you scared me!" You chuckled "I was just- uh writing".
"Cool! Which is?" He tilted his head, a cute nerd grin on his face. Urgh, you wanna grab his cheeks like adults do with babies; he is so cute!
"I'm writing a... fanfic". You murmued, inaudible, making Donnie's eyebrow rise.
"What?" Donnie queried.
Sighing, you finally let it out, loud and clearly "Fanfic. I am writing a fanfic inspired on you."
His amber eyes went wide, then tilted his head to another side. He seems thoughtful, you thought. After a few seconds, Donnie looked back at you and smiled.
"You know this is amazing, right?".
"What?..." Now, you tilt your head. Did he say it? "What are you mean, love?"
"I've always thought that write fanfics is cool, but knowing that you do it, and using me as inspiration, is awesome! Wait..." He continued "If you write fanfics, that's mean you..."
"Meeee what?" You giggled, nervously.
Donnie kneeled in front of you and leaned his face closer to yours, then whispering "You write NSFW? Like... Smut?".
Shock mode.
"How did you know that?!" You whispered.
Donnie just chuckled over your reaction "I'm already aware about this universe, love. Every fanfic writer has done a shameless story throughout life" his smile tuns into a cocky one.
"Do you read fanfics?" You questioned, eyes wide.
"Well, I do. I mean, why not?" He laughs, standing straight again, pulling you with him.

Dancing With Our Hands Tied
Author's note: Hi everyone! This is my very first fanfic so I would love to hear your thoughts! @arcticaid requested this months ago, I'm so sorry it took so long! I started writing it in May, but honestly forgot about it until after I watched season 2.
You can also find it on Ao3 here!
Pairing: JJ Maybank/Kiara Carrera
Kiara lay awake in the spare bed of the Chateau, the heavy and humid air sticking to her skin and making her whole-body flush with warmth. She could blame her inability to sleep tonight on the typical end of summer North Carolina heat, but there was something else on her mind keeping her up. With all the windows propped open as wide as they would go, she could hear the creaking of the old hammock rocking slowly back and forth, keeping her mind from thinking of anything other than the person she knew was also pretending to be sleeping right now.
A couple hours earlier, Pope had said his final goodbye before getting on the ferry to the mainland, where he would be traveling to UNC Charlotte for his first semester of college. He was finally doing what he was meant to, to pursue the future that his friends have protected and encouraged the last few years. But now he was gone, not coming back to the island for at least a couple months.
And that left Kiara and JJ.
It had been almost two years since the gold summer. Two years since they had last seen John B or Sarah. The loss of their best friend had taken a toll on all of them, but especially JJ. John B had been his brother, the first person he really was able to call family, the first person he felt safe with. Losing him had sent JJ down a dark path filled with alcohol and drugs much stronger than weed. It had taken Kiara and Pope about three months to get him back on track, and luckily that included getting him out of his dad’s house and into the Heyward’s care.
The three of them held onto the Chateau though. No one ever came asking about it, and they never brought it up. Currently, JJ was saving up to officially own it so they would no longer have the constant fear of having the last part of their best friend ripped away from them.
With Pope leaving for college, Kiara was left with the impossible task of deciding what she should be doing now. Much to her parent’s dismay, she had already that college wasn’t what she wanted- at least not right now. She can see herself going in the future, maybe getting a degree in marine biology and opening a conservation center of her own. But that was for later. Now, she knew there were still things she had to do.
Giving up the fight with herself to fall asleep, Kiara sits up in bed, sighing deeply as she presses her hands to her eyes. She could help but think about JJ. She was terrified of what leaving him alone would look like. She couldn’t risk losing another friend. A part of her knew that deep down, she just really didn’t want to leave his side at all.
Things with JJ had always been different than it had been with Pope or John B, but even more so after John B’s disappearance. They had a bond stronger than ever before, and Kiara was unsure how to deal with the feelings that had come along with it. She thinks that they’ve probably always been there in the back of her mind. Every flirty comment or wink JJ had given her growing up had always been accompanied by a small tug in her stomach that she now has a sneaking suspicion wasn’t due to annoyance.
Walking through the empty, quiet house, she took no precautions to avoid the loud floorboards like she normally would, and with an ache in her heart realized it was because no one else was here. As she got closer to the back door, quiet music filled the air, confirming that JJ was most definitely not asleep.
She silently made her way towards the hammock where JJ lay with both eyes closed, but he still opened one eye knowingly as she stopped next to him.
“Couldn’t sleep?” JJ murmurs softly.
“No, I just willingly woke up in the middle of the night for fun,” she responds sarcastically, but with no real bite to it.
“Hmm,” JJ closes his eyes again, “I can’t imagine hating myself that much. What a horrible life you lead.”
“What about you, what’s got you up?” Kiara ignores his quip at her, wanting to get to what was on his mind.
He didn’t respond right away, the silence sitting comfortably between them for a few moments. Kiara reaches down and brushes her fingers softly through his blonde hair, prompting him to finally respond.
“What do we do now Kie?” His whispers, just loud enough so she can hear him.
“What do you mean?” She murmurs back, as if she was afraid speaking too loudly would cause him to retreat back into his mind and close up on her.
“Like, we’re not kids anymore. Pope’s gone, you’ll be outta here traveling the world or whatever soon enough. I just feel like I’ve got nothin’ going for me when everyone else does.”
JJ’s admission makes her heart stop, and her breath catch in her throat. It had been a while since John B’s death, but that in no way meant they were over it. And now JJ was facing the very real possibility that he could be losing his remaining friends as well.
Wordlessly, Kiara reaches down again and gently tugs on JJ’s hand, indicating that she wanted him to get up. Predictably, he groaned in protest, but still slowly pulled himself up from the hammock. They both knew he would do anything she asked of him. Kiara leaned over and slightly turned up the volume of the speaker JJ had set up at the base of the tree. The sound of soft reggae music filled the air making her smile. She didn’t think before stepping closer to JJ so they were chest to chest with their noses just about touching. She wound both arms slowly around his neck securing him to her.
“What are you doing?” JJ asks her, a small smile creeping up on his face as his arms automatically wrap around her waist, closing the small gap between them.
“Dancing,” she responds, burying her nose in the crook of his neck, breathing in the scent of the ocean, smoke, and a hint of sweat. She sways their bodies side to side, and feels him drop his head into the top of hers.
“Why are we dancing?” He mumbles, moving his body with hers.
She ignores his question, and just lets the two of them get lost in the soft music and the feeling of being close to one another. A warm breeze rustles the trees above them causing JJ to grip his arms tighter around her. The fairy lights twinkle in the branches, and Kiara thinks to herself ‘how could it get better than this?’
“JJ,” she whispers into his neck, “how could you ever think that I would leave you?”
“Because this isn’t where you belong, Kie. You should be exploring the world, saving the turtles and probably every other animal along the way.”
“I belong where you are,” she says, her voice just loud enough so that he could hear her. “And if I’m leaving the Outer Banks, so are you.”
“There’s nothing out there for me. I’d be dragging you down.”
“You’ve never been out there, how would you know? You could teach surfing lessons and fix boats in a new country every month. We could ride bikes and never have to worry about a car again. Imagine, me and you hitting every country that has an ocean, surfing every wave we can find around the world. John B would be so proud of us.”
Her voice trails off at the mention of their dead best friend, worried she hit a nerve. But JJ just pulls his head away from hers just enough so that he could press his lips softly to her forehead.
“He really would, wouldn’t he?” JJ says with his mouth against her neck now.
“We’ll make it work, J. We always do. I don’t want to do things like travel the world if I’m not doing it with you by my side.”
“When do we leave, captain?” JJ asks jokingly, but in a way that makes her believe he is serious.
“Planning starts bright and early tomorrow, and I think we’d be much more productive if we got some sleep.”
He says nothing in response and the silence sits between them again as they continue to hold each other.
“Can we do this? In every country all over the world?” JJ asks quietly.
“Do what? Dance?”
“No. I- yes. But I mean more like, just like- be together? Like this?”
Kiara didn’t even try to fight the smile that spread across her face at his words. She pressed a kiss on his neck, right below his ear. She knew what their relationship was right now was complicated, but in that moment, nothing made more sense. She was his and he was hers. Simple as that.
“We’ll always be together. We can be like this for the rest of our lives. On our surf trip to every country around the world, and after it and before. I said I’d never leave you, and I meant it.”

Meihem Fanfic: Ice eyes
Chapter 1: Flurry
><><><><><
Begrudgingly, Jamison Fawkes followed the big ape off the plane and into the frigid temperatures. Despite being inside the damn base, the snow and ice seemed to linger in every corner of this arctic wasteland. The solid hanger doors gaped open, having allowed years of extreme low temperatures to funnel into the massive room. It was hardly livable inside, as the climate turned the metal building into a freezing icebox.
Junkrat stomped and cursed his way through the hanger, his boots caving into the piled snow blanketing the landing strip. “Ak-choo!” He sneezed, and a string of green oozed from his nose. Rubbing his hands up and down his own arms, he attempted to keep the blood in his veins from icing up into strawberry slush.
“M’fucki’n freeze’n me nuts off Monkey! Wot’s so fuck’n important, that we had ta haul our ass’s all tha way ta the tip-top ah no-where, just ta find some abandoned ol’base that no-one even lives in anymore!?”
“Language, Jamison.” Ana scolded, flinging the long end of her blue scarf over her shoulder. She stepped off the plane right behind the younger junker, stopping to adjust his winter hat for him.
“Ah, yeah. Sorry Nan.” Jamison said, and Ana patted his cheek with her soft glove. He smiled at her sheepishly, but when she turned away to join the team leader further inside the base his grumbly expression returned.
With a deeply aggravated sigh, Winston pinched the bridge of his nose. “Mr Fawkes please, I have already told you. I don’t know the cause of the beacon’s activation…That is what we’re here to find out.” The gorilla scientist pressed a thick finger into a button on the wall, but the hanger gate refused to close.
No power, Winston surmised, and shifted his attention to the hanging bay doors. “Mr Roadhog, could you assist me.”
The large man grunted, before following the ape to the opening, where Winston pointed to the door on the left, and he himself approached the one to the right. With their might’s combined, the hanger doors pinched closed, and the bright sunlight in the room snuffed away.
It wasn’t pitch dark, but the loss of sun did give the crannies a dangerous look to them.
The cold was a little more manageable now, but still Jamison shivered beneath his puffy lime green coat. The collar of his woolen turtle neck was itchy and awful, and he’d been tugging at a wedgie in his snow pants for half an hour, but the slippery fabric just kept escaping through his gloved hands.
This trip had been miserable already, and they had only just arrived. Jamison was stuffy, pouty, and grumbly, as he tromped over the landing strip, his brows twitched in irritation on every step.
Meanwhile Roadhog seemed rather snug, layered in a collection of hand knitted jumpers, and wound in a series of multi-colored scarfs. If he was as cold as Jamison was, the large junker didn’t show it, as his masked expression remained just as calm and possibly empty as usual.
Winston quickly discovered that the lift was frozen shut, but it didn’t have the power to work anyway, so the small team instead climbed a set of iron stairs to the upper floors. Jamison’s metal peg leg slipped on only one of the many frozen steps, as they slowly made their way up to the main part of the base, and once at the top, he gave the lengthy drop below an uneasy peek over the railing.
Their foot falls shuffled down the empty corridor, as cold air streamed against their faces. Junkrat paused when they passed by a dark room, where cryo sleep tubes lined the wall in a row. Any power the chambers would have been drawing from was dead, and he could only assume the occupants were as well.
However, each pod was closed except one, which was eerily left propped open and empty.
Jamison gulped, feeling a different kind of chill creep up his spine, one not of cold but of fear. He didn’t like this place, it was all the things he hated most. Cold, dark, and clean. Just like Dr Ziglers hospital room at HQ, where needles and blood bags were stored in freezers like soda pop.
Noticing that Roadhog had also stopped beside him, Junkrat coughed into his gloved prosthetic hand. “S’noth’n.” He sniffed in a string of winter snot, and hobbled after the elder team members who’d continued ahead of them.
The cold air was swirling around them now, seeming to emanate from the beacon control room itself, as chilling mist wafted from the small sliver of an opening between the automatic doors. Winston tried the buttons on the wall, but it was pointless, so he then pressed his thick hands between the open space, and forced the metal to part wider.
As the metal cracked and shifted, snow flurried into his face, the flakes spiraling around him and showering over the new arrivals like a cloud of tiny cold fairies. When the storm settled, they each made motions to shake the collected snow piles off their shoulders and out of their hair.
Sweeping a puffy coat sleeve over his face, Jamison removed the white bits of ice that had landed on his brows and lashes, before huffing visible breaths of air into his gloves. “S-shouldn’t it be get’n warmer further in?”
“Must be another breach somewhere.” Winston said, before stepping aside to let Ana to get a look inside beacon control room.
She leaned in, scanning over the room with her remaining eye, before stepping across the gap and into the ghostly cold, soon followed by a hesitant Junkrat, then Winston, adjusting his glasses as they fogged instantly upon entering the room, and finally Roadhog who had to squeeze his belly through with a pop.
The lights in this room appeared to be as dead as the rest of the place, and Ana cracked a set of sickly yellow glow sticks, before distributing them to each of the four team members.
It was the arctic, and every room in the base was cold, but the temperature dropped significantly once they opened this room, and there was an ominous silence throughout the entire base, but in this room, there was a faint robotic beep replaying over and over.
“Beep….. Beep….. Beep….. Beep….. Beep…..”
It was like a heart monitor, one of those unfeeling rhythms that put a person on edge, and they followed the sound through the dark before the yellow glow met a reflective blue wall.
Crystallized ice towered up to the ceiling, and their eyes glided upward to it’s top in awe. The icy wall had encased the entire beacon and control panel, but it also spiked out to take half the room as well, cresting the walls with patterns of glittering frost.
“Hoolie-doolie, that’sa icicle…” Junkrat enamored it’s size and gave the glass-like casing a few knocks. “…Solid too. What d’ya think happened here mate?”
“I’m not sure…” Winston furrowed his brows at the console, watching the tiny green light blink teasingly beneath the blue coat. “…But what ever happened, it was after the beacon was activated. The ice cuts off all access to it’s panel. Unless… it was an automated system…” He trailed off, bringing a knuckle to his chin as the ape became lost in thought.
“Here is what I don’t understand…” Ana started, and the room turned their attention to her as she walked up to a light switch, flipping the tiny button up and down a few times before planting the same hand on her hip. “…if there’s no power in the facility, then how is the beacon active at all?”
“Perhaps there is a backup supply unit, only for the beacon.” Winston suggested, but Ana wasn’t convinced as she strutted her way back to the iced over control panel, and with a cocked brow she turned her eagle eye on the ape leader.
“That’s not in the standard blueprints…”
“Someone…” Winston started, before giving his wide shoulders a shrug. “…I presume who ever activated the beacon, must have modified the power input. To keep the signal working, even when all other power had been used in the facility.”
“If that’s so, then where are they?” Ana asked, gesturing to the empty room and assumedly the empty base beyond the four walls. She then pointed a finger at the active green dot beneath the ice. “…Winston, this little blinking light traveled all the way to Overwatch HQ. It brought us here… but why?”
The room fell silent again, except for the nerve rattling beep of the beacon terminal. Winston and Ana were deep in a silent thoughtful moment, while the Junkers stood idly, waiting for instruction. Jamison’s eyes darted back and forth between the senior officers, before giving a glance to the iced up control panel.
“Welp!” Junkrat clapped his gloved hands together loudly, shocking a jump out of everyone, and catching all of their attentions at once. “Won’t know why it’s act’n funny, ‘less ya can get ta tha controls ro’ight? Can’t get’ta tha control panel, ‘less this ice is cleared. Ain’t here for piss’n round! So let’s blow this block in’ta ice-cream!”
With another sigh, Winston pulled his glasses from his face, giving the hight of the glacier another inspection. His eyes following it all the way to the top, before returning to the smaller of the two Junkers. “Mr Fawkes, are you sure you can remove the ice with out damaging the machinery beneath it?”
“A’course, mate! It’ll be ace!” With the spin of a land mine in his metal hand, Junkrat stepped up onto a sheet of ice and held his arms up wide. “This’s tha great Jamison ‘Junkrat’ Fawkes yer talk’n bout! I know what I’m do’n!”
Directly after his proclamation, his peg skidded on the ice and the arson’s legs tore into a split. Junkrat howled in pain, and cried for Roadhog to help him up, which the larger junker did, and Winston sighed yet again with his fingers on his temples.
“Winston.” Ana addressed the ape, holding her medical-gun on her shoulder, just in case. “This is what you hired them for… give them time to prove their worth.”
It was true, the team Winston had assembled for this task was strategically thought through, and he’d specifically chose to bring Junkrat for this purpose. He knew they’d be dealing with ice, and the demolitions expert would be useful when facing a blockade such as this one.
Though when asking Jamison to accompany him on this mission, he’d only required the single junker, but Winston was then informed that “Where ever I go, Hog goes!”, and that was the end of the negotiations.
Every team needed a medic, and that was why he assigned Ana. Angela might have been his first choice, but Ana was better at handling the Junkers, the younger one had even grown attached to her, calling her ‘Nan’ like an older relative. Perhaps it was because of their missing biological components that they shared a bond he couldn’t quite grasp.
Or perhaps Ana just views him as an orphan looking for a home… Winston considered this, watching as Junkrat excitedly pressed his thumb into the tiny button of his handy detonator, and the bombs blew with an echoing ripple of sound.
The light from the first explosion cast shadows across the room, and revealed the innards of the glacier for a moment, before the fire died and with it, the light. Just above the beacon’s panel, there was a rather strangely shaped dark spot, hovering within the thick ice wall.
The team leader disregarded it at first, seeing as the icy wall had many strange imperfections, but when Junkrat blasted it again, and again the fire illuminated the shadowed spot, he found it a bit more suspicious. Winston brought his glasses back onto his face and squinted at the dark space, but couldn’t make out it’s proper shape. He stared at it, as Junkrat detonated another bomb, and it’s light revealed the figure of a human body.
Junkrat was positioning another mine just above the panel, when Winston called out to him. “Mr Fawkes, wait a moment…” But the arson was too enraptured with his work to hear the command, and blasted it anyway.
It shook the ice, this time sending cracked bits crumbling from the top, but the person inside still appeared to be intact. Junkrat giggled as he set another mine, but halted when the ape commanded “Jamison! Stop!”, with his palm open in a forceful gesture.
“Alro’ight, crikey. Dan’t have ta shout.”
Ana quickly cracked a hand full of glow sticks at once, shaking them in her fist before holding the bouquet up to the person hidden beneath the ice. “Mei-ling?” She uttered, her brows lifting and her single eye wide in shock.
The dark spot became a girl, pale skinned and soft featured. Her hair was ash brown, her lips blue, and she was dressed for a nap, in fluffy pajamas. She was balled into a fetal position about two feet above the beacon panel, and beside her was some sort of weapon looking device.
“Mei-ling?!” Winston exclaimed, placing his hands on the outside of her ice encasement, as if she’d simply wake at the sound of his voice. His eyes searched her face for life but with a huff, he dropped his fore head against the barrier.
“Who’s it?”
The elder team members turned to Junkrat, and the sorrow in their expressions lingered as they addressed his question. “Mei-ling Zouh…” Winston explained. “…She was a researcher here when it was still an active base. When the first Overwatch devision disbanded, this site was left abandoned and the team was considered dead officially.”
“But…” Ana’s eyes trailed from Mei’s face to the persistent blink of the beacon light on the console below. “…She must have activated the beacon, and then froze herself… Awaiting rescue.”
“A rescue that never came…” Winston finished, and the room fell silent.
“That must have been nearly twenty years ago…”
Junkrat rested his prosthetic hand on his bony hip, and braced a palm against the wall of ice, admiring the sleeping face of the girl within. “Well she’s look’n pretty good for a lady push’n forty.”
“The ice kept her in a stasis.” Ana said, not even batting an eye at the junkers comment, and handed Winston the bouquet of glow sticks, before swinging her bag off her shoulder. It flopped on the floor and she un-zipped it down the middle, digging through it as she spoke. “If she’s still alive in there, she’s going to need medical treatment…”
She started emptying the contents, lining bottles, stacking supplies, and un-raveling a large tarp which was quickly smoothed out onto the tile floor. “…I don’t have the equipment to heal her properly here, but she’s been in the ice this long, it should preserve her until we can get her home.”
“What exactly are you suggesting Ana?” Winston asked, staring at the woman crouched on the floor with a hopeful brow.
“We’ll just have to cut her out…” Ana said plainly, standing again and stretching her back in a rather casual way. “We cut her out, load her onto the transport, and fly her back to HQ where Angela can take over.”
The team all seemed to be turning over the plan in their minds, looking for flaws in it, but the situation was too unusual to have any protocols to think of.
“How’re we ganna cut through this, Nan?” Junkrat asked, gliding his hand across the solid glass-like wall, his fingers dipping into the crevasse he’d created. “Even me bombs didn’t make more than’a crack.”
“This is a science lab, and we are capable…” Ana then spun, taking the glow sticks she’d left with Winston, and looked in to his eyes with her stern one. “…I’m sure we can find a way.”
The gorilla understood without being told. He can find a way. After all, Winston was the team leader, the smart one so to speak, and just like every other member of Overwatch, he had his job to do.

a love confessing wedding: (raph x reader)
Summary: Raph finds out you’re getting married, and he is upset about it. but after finding out who the groom really is, it’s up to big red to stop the ceremony and confess his love to you. enjoy! ( tagging @femalemutation for this fanfic btw. *smirk*)
Tumblr media
you and Raph became the closest of friends. he loved seeing you as you visit the lair to spend time with him and his brothers. after a few months of not seeing each other, he was curious what you are up to. so he decided to head to your apartment. he ran out of the lair jumping from building to building until he saw you walking by, and he jumps down. “hey (Y/N)!” he calls out as you turn around. you smiled at him and waved. “hey Raph! what brings you here?” he leans against a wall, and smirks. “eh. ya know. just wanted to find you since I missed ya and all.” you smiled at him and spoke. “I almost forgot to tell you something.” he raises an eyebrow as he leans forward. “is that so? any good news?” you nodded “I’m getting married!” the word “married” made him frown as it echoes into his mind. “you....are?” you nodded once more. his smile still faded and he sighs shaking his head a little. “um....congrats...I guess....” you notice he didn’t seem happy about the news. “are you alright Raph?” he snaps out of his disappointed look, and clears his throat. “y-yeah!....yeah....I’m fine....when is it?” you replied looking up at him. “it’s in a few weeks. here’s an invitation. you can come if you’d like.” he looks at it, and looks at you. “thanks...I’ll see ya then.” you both part ways, and he heads back to the lair. he felt angry....jealous....and blaming himself for not saying anything in how he really feels towards you. he looks at the invitation that was given to him. he crumbles it and throws it across the lair. Donnie picks it up and reads it. “oh! (Y/N) is getting married.” Raph puts his pillow over his head. he hates hearing that word. Donnie notices his own brother upset about it. “well someone seems jealous about it.” Raph looks at Donnie, and sigh. “Nah! ya think?” Donnie shakes his head. “raph...do you like her? like... like, like her?” Raph slowly nods, Donnie stares at him. “are you afraid of telling her?” Raph nods again and covers his face with his hands. “I have a feeling she will...rejected me because of how I am....a freak.” Donnie feels bad for his brother due to the fact he wanted to show how much he loves you. but alas, it wasn’t meant to be after all. weeks passed, and it was the day of the Wedding. Raph didn’t want to go with his brothers. he decides to stay home and not want to participate at all. so his brothers, April, Vern, and Casey left without him. The wedding has started as they made it to the church. so far, it’s going well. meanwhile, Raph couldn’t stop thinking of the urge of telling you how he really feels. he couldn’t take it anymore. “alright! that’s it! I’m done just being a pussy! time for me to man up and tell her!” he leaves the lair, and rushes to the church. he manages to make it on time since the ceremony is still going. just as he was about to open those doors, he hears a few voices from the side of the church. he takes a look, and it’s two foot soldiers talking to each other. “man I can’t wait till the boss gives us the signal to knock out those turtles. last time the strong red one broke my arm in two places. I’m gonna break his skull so hard, he’d be dead for sure.” the other nods in agreement. “yeah. this wedding definitely makes a great trap from them to fall for. once the ceremony is over, it’s death sentence for them.” they both high five each other, and Raph couldn’t believe what he just heard! “the groom is their boss!? fuck! I gotta stop this before it’s too late!” he rushes back to the doors, and barges into the church like a bull and yells out. “Stop the wedding!! and don’t you DARE continue this sham of a ceremony!! it makes me sick!! I got something to tell the bride over here! and fair warning, it may shock a bunch of you people!” you and everyone stare at Raph as he pushes in between you and the groom as he holds your hands. “Raph....please...” he stops you from speaking, and he starts to talk a bit. “(Y/N)....Don’t marry this asshole. you don’t deserve him at all. and....I....I-...” he wants to say it, but his words are stuck down to his throat. everyone was silent. just until Raph did the unthinkable. “argh! fuck it!” he kisses you deeply on the lips, and everyone gasps. the mother in law faints, the kids stared wide eyed with their jaws dropped, the teens smiling, and saying “this is awesome!”, and a random guy in the back taking a pic as someone yells out. “Put the phone down David!” the guy slowly puts his phone down and apologizes. Raph pulls away, and you stare blushing. “Raph...” he looks deeply into your eyes. “yeah. I love you (Y/N). and I really mean it.” you smile at him and the groom interrupts the moment. “that’s it! Men! show time!” foot soldiers surround everyone as they yelled in fright. Raph puts you behind him. “who the hell are ya! anyway!?” the guy reveals to himself. “My father shredder wanted me to fulfill this mission to kill you and your family! and once I have you dead, he will be pleased to see your rotting corpse!” Raph takes out his sai and angrily stares. “you’re welcome to try fuck face!” they both attack each other, and the foot clan come after him from behind. he attacks a few on his own, but gets ambushed. his brothers help out eventually fighting alongside him. he goes after the son of shredder alone. he gets cut on the cheek, but doesn’t care. he beats the guy up to a bloody pulp, until you run up to Raph and tell him to stop. he managed to do so due to his anger taking over for a split minute. he calms down as the groom is taken to jail by the police in the aftermath. Raph holds you tightly, and is glad it’s all over. they all leave the church, and head on home. Months have passed, and you and Raph watch the sunset having a picnic. just the two of you. he looks at you and sits up. “hey (Y/N). I want to ask you something. I know this may sound sudden but...stand up for a second.” you stand up, and he gets on one knee. and takes out a small box. “(Y/N)...we may have only dated for a few months but...I think it’s best it’s time we do this. so....will you marry me?” you cover your mouth about to cry tears of joy, and you nodded, and said yes. he puts the ring on your finger, and hugs you tightly smiling. you both kiss each other. “I love you Raph.” he looks at you and replies. “I love you too baby.” Raph is glad he confessed his love to you and finally getting together in the very end. if he hasn’t done it, he would’ve been lonely forever. but thankfully the wait was all worth it.                                                              THE END (and that concludes the confession from Raph!. :) who should I do next? Mikey or Donnie? let me know!)

{TMNT 2003 Fanfic} - Dream
( WARNING : This is not Turtle x Turtle related at all, this is purely just some family scenarios with no relationships at all what’s so ever. Just regular day in the life turtle stuff)
Leo watched in horror as Kari's sword was up to his neck as he sat on his knees. Blood fell down his forehead as he watched his brothers fight the Kari bots in front of him and he couldn't even help them. He sent them here in order to defeat Shredder once and for all like they had planned. This time he was going to be defeated for good, even against his brothers wishes of doing this another day. He wanted to do this now to get it over with, it was his revenge, his pay back against him for hurting his family over the years. He should have listened to his brothers when they said not to go, he really should have as soon as their plan started to fail. He could taste the defeat as soon as they walked in.
Mikey went down first, screaming bloody murder as 5 swords went through his shell and out the front. He was trying to ddge as best he could out of the way as he smashed their heads one by one. But even his quick moves and reflexes couldn't save him from the robots attacking. Mikey gazed around at his brothers yelling his name, blood dripped from his mouth as his eyes landed on Leo to the side of him across the room. He smiled one last time at him, coughing out a puddle of blood in front of him before his eyes rolled in to the back of his head as he fell forward. He didn't even move when the Kari bots removed the swords from his body and plunged them in to his chest yet again. To make him stay dead for good,
"Donnie cover my right!" Raph yelled over to his brother as he pulled his sai out from the bots chest. He was being blinded with rage as he fought, he couldn't save his brother so he had to make sure Donnie would make it out okay. Attacking another one to the side of him that cut in to his arm deeply. Donnie did as he was told and covered his hot headed brothers right. Knocking away the swords that tried to kill them both. As Raph finished off the bots next to him he turned around and knocked away one that was heading for his brother. Hearing he blood curdling scream as he turned his head. A sword went through his younger brother's stomach through the back side of his shell. Raph yelled at the top of his lungs and hit the bot away, dropping his brother to the floor with a thud as he groaned in pain.
Leo screamed out to them but it was almost like they couldn't hear them at all. He just watched and stared in horror at them fighting with out him. Choking back on a sob as he watched them fight in pain. Rage blinded one and hopelessness blinded the other. Donnie tried to stand up and watched his older brother fight to keep the bots away from the both of them. Blocking another sword from hitting him as best he could. Raph caught Donnie from falling as he stabbed the nearest bot to them. His brother chuckled softly as Raph held on to him tight,
"Let me go Raph, I'm slowing you down and you know it....you can't continue fighting like this with dead weight"
"I'm not doing that Don! Don't ever fucking say that. We are going to make it!" Raph yelled as he hit another bot in the chest and tore up its wires. Making it explode around the others so they could have time to get away. Donnie was only getting weaker and weaker as Raph held him, losing blood by the second from how deep his wound was. The hot headed brother set him down up against the wall and got ready to fight. Slashing away the metal arrows that shot at him. He lunged forward and grabbed a bot by the head, destroying it as best he could with his arm now injured. But what he didn't realize was some of the bots had gotten around his fighting area. Once he heard the scream soon silenced he knew he had failed his other younger brother too. Raph started to cry, one of the moments Leo never usually seen from his younger brother. He choked back on a sob as he lunged forward screaming in rage, only to get his arm grabbed by the shredder. The diabolical laugh was heard through out the area as the shredder bent Raph's arm like a plastic pipe. Hearing the loud pop from the broken bones in his body shattering from his touch. Shredder walked forward towards Leonardo as he sat there on the floor. Eyes red and blurry as he tried to get out of her grasp, sobbing for them to leave his brother alone like he had been doing the whole time. He couldn't watch this anymore, all of his family gone right in front of him.
"Finally....you are all dealt with....say bye to your brother you stupid reptile" The shredder shouted as he held Raphael in his grasp. Hearing his brother's cries made him weak and sick to his stomach. Leo reached out for him as he screamed his name. But he was to late, his claw came through Raph's neck as he reached out toward him in return. His body lay still and motion less on the floor in front of him with a pool of blood surrounding him. Kari let go of Leonardo and let him fall forward. Cradling his brother's lifeless body in his arms, crying out in pain, hatred and defeat as he held him tighter and tighter. Crying out for his brother's crying out for his sensi, not believing  anything he was seeing.
"Kill me......KILL ME DAMN IT.....please....please I-I....I can't d-do this.....I c-can't live with out t-them....m-my brothers a-are all I have e-ever had!"
"I wish this would not end this way Leonardo.....as you wish my old friend....I am sorry" with on quick swipe everything was gone.
----------------------------
Leonardo gasped as he sat up in his bed, tears streamed down his face as he sat there. Sweat rolled down his forehead and neck. He held his hands over his eyes as he sat there in silence, trying to calm himself down somewhat from his panic rising with in him. He gazed over to the side of his bed, his eyes still had a blur to them but he could make out that it was 2 in the morning almost. Leo closed his eyes as he pictured what had happened with in his dream over and over again. He has had nightmares before but this was one of the worst ones, especially involving his brothers. That's right his brothers!
The blue masked turtle slipped out of his bed quickly and opened up his door as silently as he could. Making his way down the hall where his brothers rooms were. His panic never left his body as he traveled down towards them. A mix of thought and emotion filled his head as he walked, what if it wasn't a dream. What if they were gone like what happened, Leo shook his head as he took a deep breath. Stopping by Mikey's door first that was shut. He sighed as he carefully opened up the door and gazed in. His little brother was asleep on his bed, his teddy bear in one hand and the corner of his blanket in his other as he laid sprawled out on top of his mattress. Clunk laid next to him curled up in to a ball. The sight made Leo smile softly, erasing worry some that he had but he still needed to check up on the others.
Leo shut his door almost all the way, leaving a small crack as he checked on the opposite side to the smartest of the group. Donnie's door was all the way opened from what Leo could tell. The blue masked turtle gazed in and found him on his stomach with no blanket on. His head was buried in to his pillow, Leo slowly walked in to his younger brothers room and grabbed his blanket at the end of the bed. Donnie must have came from the lab after working all night since he didn't even get his blanket. Leo slowly laid Don's light purple blanket on top of him, tensing up when his brother moved and curled up on his side. Leo only shook his head as he let his breath go. Making his way out of his brother's room slowly so he wouldn't wake him. Now it was down to his hot headed brother's room. After seeing both his younger brothers safe and in bed he felt he didn't necessarily need to. But he wanted to check just to be sure any way,
The oldest brother finally made it down to Raphael's room, the door had the standing out "Keep Out" sign but he knew he would enter anyway. He entered slowly, not even hearing the light snoring his brother would usually do when he sleeps. Leo opened up his door all the way and found his brother way no where to be seen in his field of vision. That's when he started to panic slightly as he gazed around in his brother's room. Finding no trace of him but his weapons and biking gear were still there. Raph was never known for sleep walking either, that was usually Mikey on occasion which was a pain to deal with.
The oldest brother sighed as he ran his hand against the back of his neck as he quickly made his way down back the hallway and in to the main living space they had. He gazed around, the lab first since it was there but as he came back. He saw the red masked turtle laying down on the couch long ways. Watching old reruns of his wrestling show with his eyes getting heavy from lack of sleep. Leo smirked softly as he watched him from a far, thinking he could not see him for now. He loved it when the person Raph was wanting to win won the match. He watched as the corners of Raph's lips raised in to a smile. Since everyone was asleep he couldn't really be overly loud. But Leo could see him muttered yes a few times and what move he predicted they would do next. After a while Leo walked in to the room, watching his brother's green eyes follow him as he walked over. Raphael stretched as he moved his legs for Leo to sit down. Rubbing his eyes slightly to wake himself up some.
"What are you doing up Raph isn't it kinda late since we have training in the morning?" Leo asked softly to not alert anyone asleep in the lair. Raph shrugged softly as he moved the TV remote on to the arm of the couch.
"I don''t wanna hear it from you fearless, I could ask you the same thing......listen I ah....I heard you in yer room. You okay? Did your nightmare mess you up?" Raph asked in a soft and concerned voice that Leo and anyone barely heard anymore since he was little. Leo smiled softly as he watched Raph's expression. They both let the tough act go for once that they kept up daily. Leo's smile fell as he nodded his head, recalling everything that happened in his nightmare. But what surprised him was Raph's arm out wide, smirking as he signaled him to come over to him. They haven't really done anything like this in a long time. They stopped telling the others about nightmares they have had that have haunted their dreams. But when they were little they would always depend on each other to calm them down from the horrid dreams they would have. As much as Raph hated to admit it he loved when Leo would calm him down like his brothers when they were scared. Raph would always do the same for him if Leo had nightmares too in return as if it were a debt to pay.
Leo was hesitant at first but soon came over. Wrapping his arms tightly around Raph for support as he felt tears start to form in his eyes. The act took Raph by surprise but he soon wrapped his arms around his brother tightly in their embrace. He would never get used to his big brother's scared and sad face that he rarely got to see. They were almost like polar opposites but somethings evidently ran in the family when it came to wearing a mask and hiding true feelings. They both hid their emotions for the others on occasion even though from what it seemed like both of them could see past their own charades they played. Each of them knew the other's traits like the back of their hands at times, others they needed a written manual on how they acted.
"You wanna talk about it bro?If ya don't that's fine too I understand...." Raph asked softly as he rubbed his brother's back to calm him down. Raph wasn't really one to be loving like this so Leo was going to take every bit he could out of his brother. It warmed his heart to see him this way and wished he could see him more like this. He knew his brother was all ears at the moment and would listen to everything he said. But at the same time he felt like he didn't want to tell him of his horrid nightmare that bothered him. Not wanting to make this a bigger deal when he could just forget about it and never tell anyone.
"Everyone....e-everyone died.....I couldn't save y-you guys while you were fighting and you d-died right in front of me....just a few feet away...there was just so much blood and...i-it was all so horrible how you a-all"
"Hey calm down fearless we're alright and safe here in the lair, we haven't even left tonight or all day for that matter."
"Yeah we haven't left Leo" The two oldest turtles peaked over and found their two younger brother standing there in the hallway. They both weren't sure how long they had been standing there, but the jig was up for them and they couldn't deny it either. Donnie still had his tired look and Mikey held on to his blanket tightly as they stood there next to each other. Leo chuckled softly as they walked over to them sitting on to the couch. Raph moved a small bit more so the could fit in with the hug they shared. Making sure their older brother was actually okay instead of joking around. Which he never did about this kind of stuff to be honest.
"I thought you guys were asleep when I checked on you"
"Technically we were trying to, but we heard you and when you came in to our rooms to check up on us I figured Mikey did the same and faked being asleep...i wanted to make sure you were alright but I wasn't sure how too." Donnie replied along with Mikey nodding his head in agreement. Leo chuckled as he shook his head, feeling like he was selfish for acting this way in front of his brothers. He has seen all three of them, broken down, depressed in ways, and scared from a nightmare. But he was supposed to be their protector, the one to tell them it was alright. Not the other way around how it was at the moment.
"Whatever you dreamed is not real dude, we are right here and just fine....well Raphie doesn't look fine, still looks kinda ugly to me"
"Hey!"
"Guys we are having a moment come on" Donnie replied over both of them. Canceling out the smirk and the glare on both Raph and Mikey's faces. But the act only made their brother laugh slightly. Which resulted in them smiling, Mikey grabbed Donnie and Raph and pulled them closer to complete the hug once more. It seemed like they stayed like that for a couple of minutes before letting go.
"Everything is gonna be alright Leo okay. We are right here with you" Donnie said with a small yawn as he stared in to his older brother's blue eyes. Making Leo nod his head softly as he yawned in return, leaning his head back up against the couch.Raphael yawned slightly as he laid back and rested his head up against the arm of the couch. Leo's sleepy body followed after in the little space between him the the couch cushions. Donnie only rolled his eyes as he touched the button on the side that popped out the make shift bed that Casey slept on when he stayed over. But before he could even lay down all the way Mikey pounced on to Raph laying there. Knocking the wind out of him slightly as he laid there up against him and the brainiac. Raph couldn't help but smile as Mikey pulled the blanket he had closer toward him instead of sharing with the others. He shared a quick glance at Donnie as they heard Both their youngest and oldest brothers snores as they laid there. Donnie shrugged lightly as he shut his eyes and curled in to the back of Mikey to get more comfortable. Leaving the hot head basically trapped by his brothers in the middle area. But never the less he felt like he could sleep a little bit better knowing they were there by his side. Just like how Leo felt at the moment to know they were alright and safe.

21 and 23 for the fanfic ask please!
a21: *sighs deeply* I don’t know if I can choose just one. But when I published the last chapter of “Not One for Chocolate Anymore, I See” a lot of people also shared their struggles with mental health-related things in the comments, and that was really cool to be trusted with that. A wee bit overwhelming, yeah, but I was glad to see that my fic did help quite a few people cope with things. I still remember that flood of comments pretty clearly. :)
23: hahaha. Like. Idk. A Lot. I have probably 5+ pages (in various fandoms) of summaries of stories I had planned on writing but never finished or started. (because I am an Anxious Turtle, and have trouble committing to things sometimes) (And honestly, some of these aren’t Never going to happen, just, it’s Dec 31, so not THIS year.)
 A few highlights would include:
For the Merlin fandom: A re-write of the Lamia episode in S4 (of which I did write out 60+ pages before my spark kinda died), a story where Mordred and Merlin got stuck together and Merlin’s past experiences with trust were explored, and eventually Morgana, Merlin, and Mordred became a wholesome, chaotic duo (with much, much trauma in-between), and a 5+ fic of the knights taking care of Merlin.
For MCU: many, many one-shots about the Avengers being a family, a story where Peter got possessed by Venom, a story where the aftermath of mind control left Clint and Loki mentally tied together, and that caused problems; another story where Loki became a double agent between Thanos and the Avengers (because it took Thanos more than a day to collect the stones); a story where Peter struggles with Actual depression and not Hollywood’s interpretation, a story where Thor went back in time to fix everything, but made a giant mess instead; and a different story where Hela wasn’t banished, but locked in Asgard’s prison and Loki stumbles across her when he’s really young.
For SPN: Many, many. Of which people should probably be glad because they were explorations in the writing in SPN and were absolute trash. XD
Thanks for the ask!! :)

Dragon Seekers. Chapter 1.
I thought that I should share the first chapter of a book that I am writing. This is my own original work (not a fanfic). I have published the start of the first chapter a while ago, but I thought that I should share the whole first chapter.
If you guys would like to see more of it, please let me know.
I hope you all enjoy it.
"Jamie, are you sure that you're alright?
Jamie Jones looked up at his teacher as the class started to leave. He could feel like he was trembling without even meaning to. He quite often liked the teachers at his school. There wasn't one that he felt like was not friendly towards him. Not many of his classmates even acknowledged his existence, so it was difficult for him to get along with any of them. Even in group tasks, no one would even look at him, let alone hear what he has to say.
"I'm fine. Why?" Jamie answered hastily, shoving his school books into his bag.
"Dear, there's a bruise on your neck. Are you sure you're alright?" The teacher repeated her question. Jamie sighed heavily. He briefly readjusted his scarf to try to hide the dark blue mark that stained his skin.
"I'm fine. I just fell down the stairs at home." He said, feeling like a broken record player. His life felt like one too. Wake up, eat, go to school, get asked relentless questions, get bullied, go home, do homework, eat again, sleep. That's pretty much how his life went. Or, it would've been if HE wasn't there.
"You say that Jamie, but this is really starting to make us worry. Your ankle was broken three months ago and you had to be in hospital because of a concussion last week. Is there something going on at home?" The teacher continued with her questions.
"No. Excuse me, Miss. I need to get home. Mum will worry." Jamie hastily replied, his body shuddering. The twelve year old zipped up his beaten up rack sack and slung it onto his shoulders. The movement was so rapid that he almost fell sideways. He ran out of the classroom, ignoring the teacher teacher calling out to him. He can't respond to that. Weaving in and out of the sea of students, Jamie couldn't pray more than he already began with to get home. He can't be late, he just can't. His heart is pounding so much that anyone could've mistaken it for a drum. His head was reeling too much for him to focus on anything else. His feet hit the pavement so hard and fast that a part of him thought that the ground would split open and swallow him whole. He would've loved that to happen. It'll be much better than going home.
———————————————————————————
By time Jamie got home, he looked like he had run the London Marathon. His sweat drenched skin covered him from head to toe. His white shirt was creased and stuck to his chest and back like glue. His black school shoes were dirty and wet (it had been raining earlier, so he had to run through puddles). His school blazer was so untidy that it seemed to be slipping off of one shoulder, along with one strap of his rucksack. His back felt sore too because as he was running, his bag had been thumping down on it harshly. His face was beetroot red from running. His lamp black hair was messy and his fringe was stuck to his forehead thanks to his sweating. He truly looked like he was in a right state.
Jamie took a few deep breathes to try to replenish his constricted lungs. He looked up at the house that stood in front of him. Once upon a time, he loved this house when it was just him and his mum. It feels like an eternity ago since those days. And Jamie loathed that reality.
Jamie inhaled deeply, trying hard not to think about anything that'll make him run away. No matter how badly he wants to. Exhaling slowly, he rested his hands on the door handle and turned it silently. Just as silently, he entered the hallway. It felt just as cold and bitter as it was when he left for school. It wasn't even winter, it was the middle of spring. It shouldn't feel this cold. Jamie tried his best to shake it off furiously. He didn't want to feel like this right now. He gently closed the door. As he did so, he could smell something warm and wholesome. He could feel like an ocean was filling his mouth. It felt so refreshing to smell proper home cooked food than the dull food that was served at school. It made Jamie forget the coldness that he felt. It made him feel peaceful despite the dread that he felt earlier. He slipped off his shoes, placing them calmly onto the shoe rack. He slipped off his rucksack and rummaged through it. Out of an unwanted habit, he pulled out his maths book and pencil case. He didn't want to do homework after a long day at school. He wanted to at least have a break, especially from all the running he did. He didn't want to think about what would happen if he didn't however. He closed up his school bag and placed it on a hook inside the cupboard under the stairs. It fit snugly amount the summer coats and handbags. Jamie removed his scarf and hung it along with the rucksack. The hairs on the back of his neck stood up instantly, reacting to the brutal to the brutal coldness that he felt earlier. He ignored it, closing the cupboard and stepped into the kitchen.
It had a hard wood surface with white cupboards and draws. A black cooker and oven stood out perfectly in the middle of it. The smell wafted from the cooker filled Jamie's nostrils again. It reminded him again of how hungry he truly was.
A woman stood at the cooker, humming a quiet tune as she stirred whatever was in the pot. She wore a long sleeved turtle neck shirt and jeans. Her long black hair was tied back in a long braid, reaching her hips. Her hair had obvious silver streaks from the roots to the end of her braid. They weren't natural grey hairs that one would get as one gets older, nor was it hair dye. It was pure, natural coloured hair that she was born with. Jasmine Jones turns around upon hearing the almost silent footsteps from Jamie. She had a golden chain around her neck, suspending a golden palm sized locket with a blue gem at its centre. She pulls a smile but it doesn't quite reach her ears. It looked almost out of place among the the creases of worry on her face.
"Hi, honey. How was school?" She asked, trying hard not to look at the all too obvious bruise on Jamie's neck. Jamie tried to ignore the face she was making. There was once a time when she would give a legitimate smile. He would give anything to see it again.
"It was...fine." He said slowly, not entirely sure how to answer. Jasmine only looked at him, concern emitting from her eyes. Jamie tried to ignore it as he placed his match book to the page that he needed to go to for his set homework. He didn't start right away however. Instead he followed his nose to the pot, wondering what was being made.
"Spaghetti bolognese tonight, Jamie." Jasmine smiled, as if she had just read his mind. She grabbed a spoon and sampled a little of the Italian dish. She offered it to Jamie, who almost greedily ate the whole thing. "How is it?"
"I think it could use a little more pepper, but it's good." The son smiled, warm feelings of love bubbling inside him. Jasmine's smile looked more convincing as she placed the used spoon into the sink. "Aren't you making this a bit early? You know how Carl gets."
"I know. If I made this later than it wouldn't be ready on time." Jasmine sighed, trying not to seem worried. Jamie sighed, annoyed at the obvious facade that his mum was putting up. He couldn't help but notice something heart breaking. Jasmine had her sleeves rolled up, making sure that they wouldn't get dirty while she was cooking. This revealed the dark, large, hand sized stains on her pale skin.
"What happened?" Jamie asked, trying to mask the overwhelming worry he was feeling.
"It's nothing, Jamie. It was just a slip up." Jasmine sighed, hastily covering up the bruises. Jamie shook his head lightly. He heard this excuse everyday. He loathed it and he desperately wished that his mum wouldn't lie like that.
"You can't keep doing this, Mum. We can't keep doing this. We have to leave." Jamie pleaded, sweat dripping a little from his forehead. He wanted to get away, run away with Jasmine so that they could be happy finally for the first time in years. Jasmine looked at him. His heart was breaking as he saw that the woman looked like she was going to cry. She opened her quivering mouth to say something.
"WOMAN!"
Jasmine and Jamie flinched horribly at this bellowing noise and the door slamming. The door slammed so harshly that the house practically threatened to collapse. Jasmine turned back to the spaghetti bolognese as Jamie hastily went back to his homework. He tried to focus on the mathematics in front of him. The heavy footsteps and the heavy breathing were the only things that filled his ears, distracting him completely. He swallowed as silently as he could as the noises grew louder. They stopped at the doorway. Jamie's heart once again pounded harshly and he actually felt like throwing up. Hesitating, his ocean blue eyes drifted to the doorway.
A rotund man with pale ginger coloured hair stood there. He wore a checked shirt that was unbuttoned, showing off a grey stained white vest, cameo trousers and heavy boots. He had dog tags dangling from his neck that he constantly showed off boastfully. His stench overpowered the fresh home cooking as if he hadn't showered in a year. His stubby face had a permanent scowl plastered over it whenever he was alone with the mother and son, but never out in public. He had been in this house since Jamie was seven years old, and life couldn't be worse.
Carl looked at Jamie with a deadly gaze. The terrified boy quickly shifted his eyes down to the paper in front of him. The maths questions stared back at him relentlessly, begging for them to be answered. Jamie couldn't bring himself to concentrate. The heavy footsteps thumped and the heavy breathing heaved. They stopped right behind him and he could hear Carl leaning down, hovering over his shoulder.
"Just started did you? Just got home?" He huffed, the alcohol on his breath was nauseating to Jamie. He held his breath and nodded mutely. Carl huffed again as he patted Jamie's head harshly. "Good. Just like my days back at base. Discipline is everything. So is obedience." Carl finally walked away from Jamie. The boy let out a silent breath of relief. However the dread immediately returned as the man went over to Jasmine, leering over her shoulder just as he did to the boy. Jasmine tensed up and her breath came out in terrible shudders. The air seemed to be cold and harsh. The hairs on the back of Jamie's neck stood up, warning him about the anger that was present in the room.
"What are you making?" Carl asked, suddenly sounding calm. Jamie tensed up, knowing what was coming.
"Spaghetti bolognese." Jasmine answered, trying to keep her voice from trembling.
"You're making it too early." Said Carl, his voice starting to lose its calmness.
"But if I started making it later, it wouldn't be ready on-" Jasmine tried to explain.
"Throw it away." Carl spat, his voice getting louder.
"What?" Jasmine whispered. Jamie could feel his body tense up even more, causing it to involuntarily shake.
"Must I repeat myself?! THROW...THAT...FILTH...AWAY!" bellowed Carl, his fists impossibly tightening up so much from rage. Jamie slapped his hands on top of his ears. He wanted so desperately to not have to listen to this.
"But-" Jasmine tried once again to explain. She suddenly let out an ear piercing yelp after a horrible vibrating sound emerged. Jamie whipped around at this. Jasmine was knocked to the ground. She was holding her face, covering the red mark that tainted her skin. Carl stood over her like a beast, his arm still after striking his emotionally broken wife. He breathed heavily, as if his unforgivable actions took out all of his strength.
"It's all your fault, Jasmine. And you know it. No wonder your parents abandoned you." The man continued to berate her as she whimpered like a child. "So clean up your mess. Or do I have to punish you even further?" Jasmine pitifully shook her head. Her breathing came out in short, quick shudders. She got to her trembling feet and turned off the cooker. Carl kept his eyes trained on her like a hawk. Jamie too couldn't stop watching, but mainly because he was frozen in fear. No matter how many times he had seen or heard it, he couldn't stop watching. Every time it happened, he desperately wanted to run to a neighbour's and get help or call 999. He sometimes imagined himself to fight Carl, give him a taste of his own medicine. However, he never brings himself to do so. He always gives himself into fear. And he loathed it.
"What are you looking at?!" Barked Carl, as he felt the twelve year old looking at him. Jamie tensed up. He looked back down at his homework, trying hard to believe that he was invisible. He tired to think of a place where he would feel safe. A remote island off the coast of nowhere. An island that no one had discovered or will ever discover. An island where no one but Jamie and Jasmine lived peacefully. No politics to heckle them. No illnesses to be fearful of. No weapons or wars that they would feel threatened by. Best of all, no one like Carl to disrupt the life that they deserved to have. The perfect paradise for a boy like him to have only with his mother. The perfect fantasy for Jamie to have.
The fantasy shattered like glass as a pair of greasy hands grabbed Jamie's school blazer. He was yanked out of his chair, the wooden furniture clattered to the ground. Jasmine could be heard gasping. Jamie could feel like his body was weightless, his toes barely taping the ground. He looked at the large man, his dark eyes were blazing with fury. Jamie begged his body to fight back and his voice to scream. However, his body was completely numb and his voice had gone mute.
"Who do you think you are?! Guess sending you to school without even so much as a slice of bread or a penny for lunch wasn't enough punishment for you?! Right?!" Carl yelled, shaking the poor boy furiously. Jasmine tried to take him away from her son, but Carl shoved her away. This has sent her down to the ground again in a sobbing mess.carl refocused his attention back to Jamie. "You want more punishment?! Fine! I'll teach you a lesson that you'll never forget!"

The Ties That Bind Part 5 (MHA fanfic)
Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4
In which there is more Tsukauchi and concerns  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Izuku breathed deeply, rolling over and hugging his pillow, waking up slowly. He sighed softly, opening his eyes and yawning, blinking the sleep away. Mmm... I must have been out for a while... where's All Might? He lifted his head and rolled, looking around.
Toshinori was slumped in the chair, one hand still propping up his head.  He snored softly, his bangs fluttered with his breathing.
Izuku smiled, laying his head back on the pillow. He rested for a bit more, just watching the bangs flutter. The events of the night seemed far away for now. He looked at the hand connected to the machines, and wondered if he could take them off, quickly concluding that, No, that would be a Bad Idea to attempt and wrinkling his nose at the fact that he thought it. Instead, he started wondering when someone would come in to check on him. He imagined some professional, busy nurse he didn't know bustling in and spoiling the quiet of the moment. Ehhh... maybe not worth it. He felt good again, One for All having been able to finish its work. Looking at his still-bandaged ankles, he wiggled them, giggling softly. All better! After a moment, he looked back over to the quietly snoring Toshinori. Waited a minute. Nothing happening. ...I'm bored. He sighed. "Hhhmmhmmm...." Plopped his face in the pillow. Then moved it back to its original position, because pillows are hard to breathe through. ...I wonder if the machine would argue if I got up this time.... He eyed the spot beside Toshinori that he tried to take earlier, and the phone sitting in the chair beside his mentor. There's games on that... but it would totally be wrong to sneak into that just for fun, I'd lose his trust completely. He huffed a disappointed sigh. I still can't believe how cool he was with me knowing the access code, that was... nice. I wonder if he thought I was spying on him? You were though?? Oh. ...That's fair. ...Then I'm very happy that he was okay with me spying on him. Well-- he waffled about the exact word to use. ...Watching? I mean he did unlock it in front of me... a lot... surely, since he knew I was there, it wasn't spying... I just watched. For security purposes, in case of emergencies. He nodded firmly. Yes, emergencies... which does not mean playing WordMoles when you're bored. "...Hrrmph." He made a flat, grumpy face. (Like this. è__é ) ...I'm still moving over there, he decided. It's better than sitting here. And I mean, I can... right? He won't be mad at me... nah. It's just moving, like, two feet. He carefully slipped off the hospital bed, placing his feet gingerly on the floor, feeling, like he always did, a tiny bit like he was taking his first steps. Well, my first steps in a while, anyway. He settled himself beside Toshinori's leg on the floor, eyeing the phone. Nope! Nope. He shook his head. Not gonna do it. He sighed softly, leaning his head lightly against Toshinori's knee, feeling the seam of the fabric press against his cheek. He waited. Bo.o.o.o..o.r..r.e..d.d.d....
With an ungainly snort, Toshi sat up and blinked owlishly.  "Good m-m-yawn-morning, kiddo."  He brushed back unruly blond wisps of hair.  "How ya feeling?"
”Gyeep!” Izuku gave a tiny squeak, jumping with surprise at Toshinori’s sudden awakening and noise. “G..oo...d—“ he tried to avoid it, but ended up catching the yawn. He blinked and shook his head, then resettled himself, turning and looking up at Toshinori, still leaning on him. “Better! Like, actually completely!” He gave a small, hopeful smile. Pleeeeeease will they let me go now...? I wanna go home. —I! Uh. The dorms! To the dorms. I mean.
Toshi scratched at the back of his head as he yawned again.  "Anyone come by to check on you?" Anyone notice I fell asleep on watch?  Sigh... He got to his feet and peered at Izuku.  "Tell ya what, I'll see if I can find someone and get you discharged already.  Sound good?"  He held a hand out to help Izuku up.
Izuku blinked confusedly, staring off into space for a moment as he realized that he’d have no way of knowing if anyone came to check on him until very recently. The thought freaked him out just a little. “Ah. I have... no idea?” He refocused on Toshi. “Not in the last few minutes, anyway.” Reaching out his hand, he took Toshinori’s and stood up carefully, smiling. Hmm. Bit shaky... I’m gonna have to eat soon. Ooh! Maybe I can talk him into taking me out to eat? He reconsidered quickly. Or maybe not... he seemed pretty shaken up last I saw him... he probably wants to go home. Yeah. Home is better. —I mean the dor.... The corners of his eyes crinkled a tiny bit more, and he gave a small sigh, giving in. Ohh... whatever. Home works.
"All right.  Stay put.  I'll be right back."  Toshi gave an awkward but cheerful wave as he stepped backwards and out the door.
Izuku’s eyes widened, and he stood on his tiptoes and opened his mouth slightly just as Toshinori walked out the door. “heY WAIT! You forgot your... phone....” He sighed. “Aaand... too late.” He plopped down in the chair and picked it up, turning it on the lockscreen just to see the clock and the weather, mumbling, “Well, I hope he doesn’t need this.”
As if prompted by being picked up, the phone began to buzz; All Might began cheerfully bellowing that A phone call is here! ...but at a surprisingly low volume.  Truthful Tsukauchi flashed across the screen as All Might continued to whisper-roar his pre-recorded announcement.
Izuku's eyes widened, and his mouth made itself into a little circle when the phone started ringing, but he didn't squeak again. An amused (and slightly perplexed) smile crossed his face at the change in ringtone, then turned soft when he realized. He must have done it for me, so I wouldn't be startled awake if a call came. He bit his lip and stared at the phone for one more ring. ...Should I answer it? I should, probably. Don't just let the call be lost.... He pressed Answer and held the phone to his ear. wait WHAT DO I SAY Impossibly, a slightly-fake but polite smile appeared on his face, and he adopted a fair imitation of the the Phone Voice and phrases he'd heard his mother use. "Hi, you've reached All Might's phone. Can I take a message?" He could have sworn sweat beads were collecting on his forehead. H e l p  m e . . . .
A stunned pause at the other end. Then:  "...Midoriya?"
Izuku gave a very awkward, panicked laugh. "Ahahahahahh... ...hi?" His eyes flicked back and forth as if searching for help. Alas, the room was as empty as it was a minute ago, with no help in sight. He made a weird croaky nervous noise in his throat. Then hoped very hard that Tsukauchi didn't hear him. Tsuka... OH NO, I didn't even remember his name!! Ackkkjjfhsgsdfsdfsfvs..... His brain reduced to incoherent sounds of chaos, he slid down farther into the chair, scrunching up like a turtle and grimacing, wide-eyed.
Tsukauchi bit back a laugh then cleared his throat.  "Hello Midoriya," he replied cheerfully.  "Is All Might there?"
"Ah!" Izuku perked up, gaining new direction now that he had a question to answer. "No." He paused. "I mean, yes... I mean-- no!" He smacked himself in the forehead, and was sure that one was audible through the phone. He sighed, rolling his eyes at himself. "He just stepped out for a minute." Is he going to wonder why All Might didn't have his phone with him? "And... left his phone. ...Hehheh." Well that doesn't help, now you sound guilty, like you stole it! He's gonna think you stole All Might's phone, that's why he sounded so surpri-- He caught himself, realizing how silly that all sounded, and groaned internally at his brain. Oh, please shut up....
"But he's ok, I trust?"  Tsukauchi found himself more amused by the minute.  I wonder what All Might would think of this.
"Oh! Yeah," Izuku reassured him. "He's fine." I think. He scrunched his nose, realizing that he'd said something that wasn't resolved or answered yet, trying to recall what it was.... Oh right! He leaned back in the chair and swung his legs a bit, more at ease now that he had something to say, and continued brightly, "So what were you calling about?" He tilted his head curiously. "I can tell him later."
Tsukauchi's mind whirred a moment.  Surely he didn't go back to the other room....no.  Not All Might. "His assistant, are you?"  He couldn't stop the chuckle now.  "I admire the effort but I can't speak to you about police matters.  You understand."  A smile colored his voice now.  "Truth be told, I believe I could trust you with the information.  You're a good kid."
"Huh...?" His assistant? Why would I be...? Oh, it was a joke. He continued listening as Tsukauchi finished, then smiled, laughing softly. "Well, I appreciate the vote of confidence." He bit his lip, wondering if he should ask. Should I even be wondering? This isn't my fight, it's not my place to drag it up.... But you were a part of it, his mind whispered. You were the reason. He closed his eyes. Maybe he won't even be able to tell me. So I can ask, and then I'll have done all I can do, and that's... that's the end of it. A nauseous, tense feeling grew in his middle. ...Do I really want to know? "Uhm." It came out soft as a whisper.
"Something's on your mind.  ...last night?"
"Well, I mean." Izuku shrugged, his tone now matter-of-fact. "Yeah." What else? "I don't know if you can tell me... and... it's a little bit hard to remember right now...." I can't seem to connect to it... can't seem to feel what I did before... is this repressing memories? Am I doing that without knowing it? Am I losing that time--? "But..." He gripped a hand tightly around his foot, curled up with knees to his chest. One more shaky breath.... What am I doing? How can I say this, what kind of lack of faith in-- Then, softly.... "...Did they live?" A sick feeling settled in his stomach. Once the words left his mouth, he wished he could take them back.
"All Might didn't tell you?  That's odd..."  His mind whirred again, offering up theories before belated realizing that he didn't answer Izuku. "My apologies!  They are both expected to make a full recovery, one sooner than the other."  He almost added a personal thought then decided against it.  "So don't worry yourself about them.  They got off better than expected."
Tsukauchi's tone held none of the heaviness of death in it. Izuku had let out a tiny sigh of relief by the first syllable, his posture relaxing as he listened to the rest of what Tsukauchi had to say. "That's good," he said softly, a small smile on his face. "Why one sooner than the other?" He kept his tone quiet and calm, hoping that Tsukauchi would take him seriously. "How bad is it, if I may ask?"
"Midoriya--ah, Izuku?  May I call you that?"  His tone reflecting a respect given as well as a respect asked for.
Izuku stiffened a little, making a Nope face. Ahhh... I don't know if I like that. But you're so close to All Might... and if I'm close to him... do I have to let you? How can I say no, that'd be so rude-- He knew the pause of him not answering was telling in itself, though, and it grew longer with every instant he waited. "A-ahh," he started shakily. I don't even know what to call you, that's-- That's perfect! There was the answer to his predicament. "Well what do I call you, sir?" He laughed the question out awkwardly. Okay, maybe not perfect... but maybe I can get out without answering.
"Tsukauchi is fine.  Or if you prefer, Officer Naomasa.  That way we're on a first name basis.  But the 'officer' part has to stay, just so we don't seem too familiar with each other.  That could lead to...ah, complications."  This could also help me explain to you why what happened did, he thought to himself.  "Does that seem fair to you?”
Izuku swallowed nervously, the hand that held the phone shaking a little. "...Officer Naomasa." He tried it out. "I think I could do that, sir." He huffed a bit more breathy, slightly-frightened laughter. "I don't think I could call anyone by just their first name, anyway. It would feel kinda weird." Except Toshinori, you mean. Ohh...  shut up, that doesn't count. And I barely do that even in my head. So.
"All right, Officer Naomasa it is.  Is Izuku all right?" Was he stalling so he didn't have to speak of the night's events, either?  Tsukauchi winced.  It had been a messy and disturbing business.
Izuku froze, not wanting to say yes. Knowing that if he did, Tsukauchi would immediately be able to tell that he was lying. Whether his quirk worked over the phone or not, Izuku was just That Bad At It. I thought I could squeak by... but... oh no, oh no, what do I do?? I can't say no now! Why do I even care?? It's just a name! But it's so personal... only Mom n All Might call me that.... Well, and now I can have one more person who calls me that. His brain did a 180° turn from "not for you, Mister" to "okay, you belong here." Extended family, sort of...? He smiled, liking the idea. "...Okay." His voice was soft and vulnerable, hoping that Tsukauchi would pick up on how big of an allowance that was for him. As if it matters, a nasty thought hissed at him. As if you could allow him something. That's so stupid, he has way more authority than you! It matters because it's my name. I got given it, and I get to choose who uses it. And I choose to let him. Izuku nodded to himself firmly, decided now.
The other end was quiet for a moment.  Then: "Excellent.  Thank you for this honor.  I promise to do everything in my power to be respectful of this knowledge and of our newly forged connection, hero."   Tsukauchi shifted the phone to his other ear.  "Now remind me what you were asking."
Izuku ducked his head shyly, smiling. "Ah. Uhm." He wrinkled his eyebrows in thought, the smile persisting for longer than expected. Wow, I must be really happy, then. Okay. "Oh right!" He sat up straighter, alert, smile disappearing. "What's their condition? The two villains, I mean. Has the hospital told you much, or...?"
"Recovering.  I hope they think upon the error of their ways and become better citizens after this."  Since they got a second chance at life.  Tsukauchi pressed his mouth into a thin line.
I... that's not what I meant, but.... "Thank you." Okay, I guess a runthrough of their injuries was too much to ask, after all, hah. Not that I really wanted one, but... "recovering" isn't much information. Does he not want to tell me? Is it that bad? Nnnhh.... His thoughts turned to anyone else involved in the situation, doing a safety check all round. No civilians, no police hurt after they took the villains, I'm sure... that leaves.... "Did you... did he...." Izuku sighed, making a leap of faith on his new... bond of sorts with Tsukauchi. Boy I hope I can trust you with this request.... "Okay, don't tell him I said this, but... how is he? All Might." Izuku furrowed his eyebrows. "He won't... talk to me. He just kinda... watches. Granted, I haven't been the best listener... okay, I haven't even asked, not properly." He pinched the bridge of his nose and sighed, suddenly realizing how badly he'd done. "I... I'm kind of afraid to ask. Open wounds, and all that." He curled up again, resting his arm on his knees and his head on his arm. All Might... please be okay.
Tsukauchi sighed, a heavy sound.  A "I dont want to tell you" sound.  A "It's not my place to tell you" sound. A "I dont want to ruin your idol for you" sound. "Izuku, how do I..."  He ran a hand through his hair, looking about for any sign of All Might, somewhat aware of how strange the current situation was.  "Ok, I'm going to take a guess at this.  I've worked with a lot of heroes and I've seen this happen before.  Just...dont take my word for it 100%.  Each case is a little different." How to begin... All Might...forgive me...
A soft, "I'm listening."
"All right.  Let's start with a quick example--just now, when we exchanged permission to use each other's names.  Seems a simple thing.  But now we--or I'd like to think we have--a small bond.  We have a seed of trust we share and we'd welcome the chance to nurture it.   To see if it endures.  The more it grows, the more likely we are to continue to nurture it. "Now you and All Might.  Would you say the two of you share a similar bond of trust?"
"Ahhh, yeah." Izuku furrowed his brows again, puzzled. Is he gonna say that he doesn't wanna tell me? That he wants to nurture the bond of trust he has with All Might? But this won't be bad for him... I just wanna help, and I may not even be able to... do anything.... He shook his head. No, that's not it. He was starting to tell me earlier. He must still be going. He continued listening, hoping he hadn't missed any important bits while he was thinking.
Tsukauchi grinned.  "Yeah.  I'd wager it's more than just a simple name trade.  I wager it's a whole lot more.  And that it's more than just trust. "See, here's the thing, Izuku.  Heroes are admired for what they do for us.  But we take granted what they give up for us.  In order to protect us.  Villains will search for any vulnerability, any crack in a hero's defense, to get an advantage over the hero. "I'm going to ask a difficult question and I dont expect you to answer it.  Just think about it.  Ready?  What would you do if someone threatened your mother?"
"...I don't know." Izuku was quiet, thinking about what he could do. About what he couldn't let himself do. Trying to draw a line. "Take them down fast, I guess." (And ignored the part about not being expected to answer.)
"I don't know--it's a true answer.  It's a position no one ever wants to find themselves in.  How much is too much?  How much do I value this bond I have with this person? "And sometimes, in order to not put others in danger, to not have to make those hard choices, to not be in that awful position... heroes make a difficult choice and cut themselves off from people at large.  Oh, they're still interact with fans and the people they save.  But it can never go beyond that; a hero can't afford to let a bond be the break in their defense. "Multiply that feeling by the thousands and you get All Might.  With me so far?" Tsukauchi bit the side of his lip, treading carefully with his words.  He still valued his own bond with All Might.
"...Yeah." Izuku's voice was down to a half-whisper. "I know All Might did that." He swallowed hard. "And then I came and messed it all up." There was a tinge of humor in his words, but not much. "...I didn't mean for this to happen." His voice was a horrified whisper. "I swear." I wanted the opposite... please, no, I don't want anyone to die because of me! Not even if they're trying to kill me, it's just-- it's not worth it, I-- they're alive, life means so much-- And they're still alive, he reminded himself. No one died. They could have. He knew that. But they didn't. All Might stopped himself. Which is more than I could have done. Izuku squeezed his eyes tight, promising himself that he would never-- could never allow himself to get angry when he fought for his closest loved ones. Never. He shuddered. I'm not allowed. I wouldn't stop.
"Izuku.  Listen." Tsukauchi gave a half smile.  He knew he was one of a fortunate few.  And Izuku moreso than him.  Did he feel a tinge of jealousy?  Hard not to, you were talking about the All Might. "Heroes decide to guard their most precious bonds in the way that they choose.  With All Might being --having been--the most well known hero in the world, he had to take that to extreme measures.  There's certain guidelines even I follow so that I can protect my bond with him." Tsukauchi chuckled softly.  "Sidenote, you understand I'll need to speak with All Might about his phone after this." "But the part I need you to hear is this:  yours is the most precious bond." Tsukauchi paused a moment to let that sink in as he collected the rest of his words.
"Huh?" Izuku accidentally started to answer the side note before Tsukauchi was finished talking. "What, that I answered his pho--?" O-O "...Ah. Hm." ...Are you sure about that? Like... that sounds a little fishy... you've been his best friend for, like... a long time. That is a sweet sentiment, though, thank you. "I... um. Thank you." He ducked his head again shyly. Where was I? I was saying something, gotta keep the moment moving, I don't know how to respond to that, someone come in and save me please.... Izuku’s thoughts turned into an antsy singsong, his fingers tapping nervously. "Should I... not have answered his phone? What if it was an emergency?" He titled his head, changing the subject.
Tsukauchi chuckled as he scanned the hallway for that familiar burst of blond again.  "No, I mean about him keeping his phone with him.  And maybe changing the passcode.  Sorry, Izuku.  There's information on that device you're currently holding that's worth a lot of money in the wrong hands. "I won't mention this call, if that's what's worrying you.  And with him being retired, emergencies aren't quite as common any more (might explain his carelessness...) "At the end of the day, it's still his phone.  I wouldn't be comfortable with someone answering mine without my knowledge.  ...but I'm glad to be having this conversation with you, truth be told.  Fair?"
Izuku scrunched puzzledly. "You don't need a passcode if the phone is already ringing." Do you? Did he? Did I put it in and forget, I THINK I would have remembered.... "And... yeah. Fair." He smiled sadly, a bit disappointed to lose his "phone privileges". That he kind of stole. But maybe I can watch for the passcode again... ...nah. All Might would be watching me. And if Tsukauchi.. er, Officer Naomasa told him not to let me... sigh "You can mention this call if you want to, I mean, I'll probably say that you called. Just... not... all of it." He ducked his head, blushing a little. "If that's okay."
"How about I finish saying my piece before you so readily say thst?" Tsukauchi smirked. "I guess what I'm trying to say is, All Might has been so very careful all these years.  And for those same amount of years, he's been alone.  And letting so very few in.  For their protection. "He...lost someone once."  Sorry, Izuku, I cant say any more than that.  That's definitely out of bounds for me.  "He built his walls.  He--"  No, definitely can't mention that battle, either.  "--events happened and he closed himself off even more.  For his own reasons, of which the most paramount has always been to protect us. "Self imposed isolation is still isolation.  It's a lonely and depressing business.  No one deserves that, especially not the Symbol of Peace.  So Izuku, I have to say, you've had a remarkable effect on him this past year."
Well that just makes me even more curious. Izuku kept his mouth shut, however. There are just some things you don’t ask. He’ll tell me when and if he’s ready to. “Thank you.” He closed his eyes, a tiny smile growing bigger. That’s all I’ve really wanted to do for him. To be there. To be good to him. ...For him. ...Can I still be? Even if my presence pushed him to... this?
"I guess what I'm trying to say is...well..." Tsukauchi's mouth twisted in frustration.  "I'm not excusing what happened, not blindly.  But I understand why it happened.  Your bond is infinitely precious to him and he....reacted." That's putting it so mildly that even mayonnaise is insulted. A pause, heavy.  "Do you....remember it?"
“....A little.” He squeezed his eyes shut. “I’m trying not to now. Just not right now. I’m probably not the one that’s supposed to be freaking out right now, huh.”
There was a tap at the door as Tsukauchi replied on the other end: "Well, no one should be freaking out.  It's over and done with.  If you can't remember, don't force yourself to."
“Uh-hh.” Izuku twisted around to face the door. “Someone’s at the door.”
Toshinori poked his head in.  "Doctor to--"  He covered his mouth to quiet himself as the doctor peeked in as well. Then Toshi frowned in comical confusion:  "...wait a second..." The phone chirped:  "All Might?  Is he there?"
“Yup!” Izuku smiled brightly at Toshinori. “Found him!” He blinked, rethinking. “Well, he found me...” He motioned in the air to illustrate his point, regardless of whether the person he was actually talking to could see it or not.
Toshi squinted, pat his pockets, squinted more, strode across the room, slender fingers  sliding the phone from Izuku's grasp-- "Thank you--" --then motioned to the doctor as he stepped back out of the room to speak with his friend.
Izuku stiffened just the smallest bit at the phone being taken from his hand, making a noise that was a bit startled, a bit betrayed, and a bit annoyed. The mix of which came out sounding rather like petulance. Fortunately, Toshinori didn’t seem to hear it, or at least didn’t seem to react to it as he slipped out the door to talk to Tsukauchi. Leaving Izuku alone. With a strange doctor. “Uhhhh.” He stiffened further, staring at the doctor with wide eyes. “Hhhhhi.”

“Baby Scan.” - Leorai
P.S I’m starting with this fanfic about Leo & Karai having their baby. Then I’ll move onto the comic version of the birth.
P2
……………
With care and ease, Leo and Mikey led Karai into Donnie’s lab, having her last scan was exciting yet worrying. Karai stopped walking, leaning a bit as more pain struck inside. Groaning lightly. “Karai, nice ‘n slow.” Leo and Donnie helped her up onto the table, Mikey saw Raph pass by the door. “Hey, Raph!” Mikey called out to his brother in red. “Sup?” Raph came inside with a drink. *GASP* “IS THE BABY HERE?” He yelled in a panic seeing Karai lying down. “Whoa Easy bro.” Mikey said. “Karai’s just having her last scan.” Donnie said while gently spreading gel onto her stomach. “Oh.” *SIGH* Raph sighed loudly with relief. Nothing to worry about. He said to himself… “You okay?” Leo asked, a soft smile looked down at Karai, his hand clasped her’s. “Hm, yeah…” Trying to shift to a more comfortable position, Karai felt Donnie running the scan over her swollen stomach, biting her tongue she let out a soft moan, turning her head as her eyes closed in the slightest pain. “Hey.” Leo’s whisper made her look the other side, his stormy blue eyes met her burning golden eyes. Slowly easing her, his hand slowly ran through her hair. His thumb brushed over her hand, over and over in a delicate motion…
“Leo, come see.” Donnie spoke, Leo’s head turned to his brother at his computer. “Raph, can you?” Raph switched places with his brother in blue, taking Karai’s hand instead. Leo went over to Donnie with Mikey soon following behind. *Gasp* Leo’s heart fluttered in his chest, his eyes started to fill with happy tears. Seeing his baby on the computer screen made the world to him. “What you thinking, Leo?” Donnie could see the emotion in his brother’s eyes, his hand slowly ran down the screen. Leo smiled and wiped his eye. “Donnie.” Leo managed to speak softly, making the genius in purple smile happily. “Leo!” Karai groaned his name getting his and Mikey’s attentions. “I’m here.” Rushing back over to her side, Raph stayed put, his hand clasping her’s. Hearing the printer running, Donnie waited… “Here, Leo.” Coming back over, Donnie handed Leo the scan of their baby. “Another one for the book dude?” Mikey smiled. “Alright, Karai just gonna wipe this off.” Donnie cleaned the gel off Karai’s stomach, pressing the paper towel until it was gone. “Help her up.” Leo and Raph slowly and gently helped Karai to sit up. Making her breath deeply, her hand held her stomach. “I’m, I’m f, fine…” Karai said, although Leo could see she was not okay…
Throughout the day, Karai sat inside the dojo beside Splinter, watching the turtles practice. Wanting so badly to grab her Tanto to join in. She was unable to move at such speed and be as flexible like she used to before she had gotten pregnant… *SIGH* Craving more food again, the turtles were stunned by the amount of food Karai has gone through in the last few days. Even now, Leo managed to catch a quick glance at her, reading a pregnancy book while eating. “Eating again?” Leo said with a laugh. “I’m Hungry!” Karai replied with her mouth full. Her weird and unusual cravings she had daily were shocking to him and his brothers…
Hours Later…
*Knock, Knock*… “D, Donatello?” Karai opened the lab door, her body grew weaker and more fragile with each movement. “You should be resting.” Donnie rushed over to her, feeling her head with his hand. *Soft Sigh* “Karai.” He sighed softly, sitting her down gently. “You can’t be on your feet.” Watching her movements, the strain in Karai’s eyes told him she has had little sleep. Breathing in then out. “I… I feel so w, weak.” Karai whispered in pain, Donnie felt her pain and wanted to help, but he could only do so much. Lifting her face slowly, Donnie looked into her weak, tired eyes. “I’m here for you.” Donnie whispered suddenly he saw tears rolling down her cheeks. “Oh, Karai.” Bringing his arms around her gently, Karai cried softly into his plastron. Pain stabbed her insides, feeling worse than she was earlier today…
11:30pm…
*Kiss*…“Get some sleep.” Leo whispered, pressing a soft kiss onto Karai’s head, lying down on the pillow. Sighing softly, she found her body relax and the feeling of pain had gone for what was a split second before it hid her again. Only this time she gasped loudly. “Karai! W, What? Are You? Is The?” Leo said as he sat up fast, holding her steady, Karai’s hand clenched around his. *Panting* “I, I’m, fine… Baby, k, kicked.” Karai breathed in and out slowly, lowering her back onto the pillow, Leo was filled with worry, unable to fall asleep until she was… Laying beside his girl, Leo stroked her hair, hearing the soft breathes from her. *Softly Humming* Humming softly, Leo quietly sung to her while his fingers ran through her soft silky hair. Taken by Karai’s hand holding his own. Leo smiled and leaned down. His lips stayed on her head for a moment before slowly pulling away. “Sweet dreams beautiful.”…

April Fools fanfic
Worst April Fools fail
"Ok... explain me again how did we end up trapped in here."
"My so-wanna-be-called has took one copy of one of the AIs I've been working on and put it in the digital camera both."
"And...?"
"*sighs* And I said I could fix it..."
"Aaaand..."
"And I asked you to help me... and you're upset."
"Atta, turtle..."
Yes, this was the scene:Donnie and Irma were trapped inside of one of two camera boths, where it went into a cage because of an Artificial Mind chip. They both were sitting next to each other; the turtle has spent more than an hour trying to open the blind door or hacking the computer.. but he has not the material; neither his shellphone. They heard fast steps coming close.
"Guys!"
"Mikey?" Irma get up and went to the door. "Is that you?"
"Yes. Hey, I figured out how to get out of the camera booth!"
"Really?!" Donnie get close to the door to hear better. "How? ... you know what? I don't care, this is getting claustrophobic and every idea is welcome.." A five dollar bill was slide under the door. He get an empty stare at it,following with a frow. "Please, tell we do not..."
"You have to use the booth!"
"What?" Irma didn't believed that was the option neither. "We have to take photos to get free?" At the ah-ha sound of the young turtle, it was confirmed. She took the money and inserted to the slot. "Ok, let's see..." Donnie went to the screen, he just pressed start. Three flashes. And they waited. ... "This is not working."
"Mikey,this isn't working!" Donnie protested.
"I think you guys are doing wrong." He slide the photos set, all of them with the huge space, only vision of the seat and the wall. "You don't appear in the set."
"What?!" They both explained.
"Look..." another set of photos, all of Mikey posing. "I used my best photo-faces to the camera and it sent me free. It's what the camera booth wants"
"Wait wait... Is this the AI working? It believes it's really a photo booth that it's only porpuse it's to take photos?" She looked at Donnie. "Is that possible?"
"Huh... apparently." He sees another bill passed by his brother from the outside. "Let's give it a second try."
This time, they both sat at the seat in front of the camera. They let themselves to being photographed, and waited. And waited.
"Mikey...?" Donnie said...
"I think the booth doesn't like the photo."
"What?"Irma questioned. When the new photos comes inside, she took it. "Come on, are you saying the machine dips picky about--- oh, god; I looks awful!" She reacted at the bad hair she didn't knew she had. "And Donnie, you blinked."
"Oookay..." he took the photo and trash it away, taking a second peek to the set of photos that set Mikey free. "So, this machine wants funny photos; we can do that!" He say positive. With another 5-dollar buck, the turtle prepared Irma to the set of photos. "Just go wild, like you're parting." She just nodded.
They both tried many poses: grabbing each other shoulders, ducky faces, egypt pose, jazz hands...
"Wow, guys! This photos are the best!"
"Thank you Mikey... One question:" Irma started to change his happy tone into a tiresome one. "Why are we still trapped here?"
"You said this could work!" Donnie protested.
"..." they heard silence. "Maybe there's something missing..." before they could protest more.. "Huh, I ran out of bucks. Be back n a second."
"What?, No no... MIKEY!!" They explained very loud, punching at the door.
Irma sat in front of the screen; with a preview of the photos it took.
"... ... I think it's me." The girl voice took the attention of the tall turtle. "The other booth let go Mikey because his happy faces." Donatello looked at her confused. "This machine... knows that I was faking." He came close and sat next to her. "Just look at it... My eyes aren't smiling at all."
" ... Well, it could be me too."
"What are you talking about? Your faces are great."
"My smile is forced." He pointed at his face in the screen. "I'm not good with photos... I need like two takes to have a decent one." He smiled at it. "You do looks good. How can you say you're not truly smiling?"
"Oh... You know..."she sighs, resting her head against the wall. "After being kidnaped by aliens... Experimented... I'm doing better, but I still think like a part of me is broken."
They went silence. Donatello also rested his shell against the wall, giving a soft bump at her arm with his. "I am mutant turtle who lived in the sewer. I've a brilliant mind about any science, machinery and stuff; but when it's about love I am a failure." Irma remembered that he has a thing for April. She got closer to him, like wanting to comforting him.
"I don't think you're a failure. Everyone can get heartbroken, but it heals in time."
"..." he smiled. "And so you. You're a survivor."
Anothe smile shared. Irma's fingers taped something in the seat. Something like a piece of paper.
"Hey..." it was 5 dollars! The both shared a stare. "What do you say? We are in a good mood right now."
He nodded. They both felt ready. Donnie did the honor to put the money and press the star button again.
What happened next... was so fast.
Flash. They both looked at the front, smiling. Flash. Donnie looked at Irma. Flash. Both were looking at each other eyes. Flash. Donnie holded her shoulders... pulling her to get a kiss.
When they separate... Donnie was in shock, Irma was trying to say something but her shocking state didn't let her.
*SLAM*
"APRIL FOOLS!!"
The door opened, going up fast; and the young turtle cheered yelling... he met two wide opened faces: eyes and mouth. The tall turtle's shut fast, going straight at his brother full of rage. "April... fools... April Fools!? This was a joke!!??"
"Huh... I just wanted to make you guys to make some funny faces... But the door didn't open and... Oh, come one! It's was a funny one, right Irms?"
"Huuuuuh..." she was grounding so deeply that she sounded like a zombie as she went out of the booth.
"What happened?"Mikey asked.
"YOU HAPPENED!!" Donnie was on angry-Raph mood. That was Mikey's cue to runaway.
.........................................
Mikey was forced to give back the chip he took from his brothers laboratory; he was very upset with him and he just wanted to be alone. ... As he worked in his work table, he wanted to forget what happened. What he did... Gosh, he was shaking his head, trying to get the urge to blush go away. Wanting so desperately to forget what happened in the photo booth... Photo boooth!!
He ran fast at the blasted machine. He had to take that photo set!! Everything would be so embarrassing and ackward if someone else finds it. He found it... and Irma was next to it, sitting at the feet of the machine. He stopped. His troat went dry, wanted to glue but couldn't. The girl moved a few inches, that the turtle sat at that spot next to her. It was a long ackward pause...
"We kissed..." she finally spoke.
"I-I thought it was what the machine wanted..."Donnie tried to explain.
"You're one of my best friends."
"Which it makes this so much ackward, I know...!"
"You have a story with April. My best girl-friend!"
"That doesn't... I--."
"And I'm starting to date Casey Jones..."
"I JUST WANTED TO GET US OUT OF THE BLASTED BOOTH!!" she saw the turtle hiding her head with his arms and moving away. It looked like he wanted to hid in his shell, like a natural turtle.
"Hu... huh... Look... Let's..."she tapped his shell. "Look, it's ok... I know it's all a mess up but... We can pretend it never happened." Irma could see him looking at her. "Besides, a part of my family tree it's mexican; and kissing in the lips it's pretty natural between family and very close friends..."
Ackwardness again...
"Anywho... I already take care of the photos."
"Oh, thank heavens..." Donnie breathed loud... About to leaving he looked at her getting up as well. "I... I think I didn't apologize about it..."
"Apologize accepted, Donnie." She smiled.
And so, this day of April Fools ended with a swirl of emotions and complicated twists of friendship. It ended with a messed up minded teenage mutant who had doubts about his acknowledgment about relationships; and with a survivor who wants to keep go forward, with a still burned feeling in her face and a photo set that she wanted to keep for safe keeping.
Happy April Fools everyone

and we keep on.
commissioned fic by @jointed-custody! some 2012 tmnt old donatello well down the line in his life, reminiscing about people he’s lost and the people he still has.
sort of set in my Mecha Turtle fanfic universe, but generic enough to be read as a standalone.
Staring out across the wide lawn of the farmhouse, Donnie enjoys the momentary peace of his own company. In the dull heat of summer warmth, seeping through everything around him, the ache in his joints eases enough he can sigh softly, rotating his stiff ankles. Too many hours on his feet this week, and he’s far too old to be doing that.
Maybe if he were twenty years younger- heck, maybe even just ten, he’d be fine. But ninety years and some months is hard on a turtle, even a mutant one with enough knowledge to cure just about anything.
Can’t cure old age, though, much as he’s tried.
Cells break down, replication becomes flawed- bodies get old along with the mind, even if the soul remains strong and youthful. Donnie is no young soul, certainly not by this age, but he likes to think he’s still got some gutso in the tank, even if he can’t quite pull all-nighters anymore.
It doesn’t stop him from trying, as often as that results in him passing out at his desk. He’s scolded for doing that by nearly every person he’s close with, as if they have any room to talk.
Even if it’s not genetic, as Donnie has suspected for decades none of them are related that way- stubbornness is certainly a family trait. Stubbornness to admit defeat, stubbornness to take care of themselves properly. They’re all as equally bad as him, especially now days, with old age catching up with them and just how much they can do anymore shrinking down.
That doesn’t stop Donnie from doing his work, and it certainly hasn’t stopped any of his brothers or surviving friends. Hell, Raph is up in space at the moment, along with Casey, the nutball old men they are. Donnie at least has had the sense to stay on earth; his brother and friend are still out there in the wide open cosmic ocean, getting into who knows what kind of trouble. If they’re all lucky, Donnie won’t have to reattach any of Casey’s prosthetic limbs when he gets back, or recalibrate Raph’s implants, again.
Donnie might have become a bit of a homebody in his late years, but at least he’s one of the three members of his family that hasn’t had to replace a part of themselves to keep ticking along. Leo has the excuse of it being from their teen years, fixing that bum leg of his so he could still walk by himself; Raph and Casey are just reckless fools, even if they’re as wrinkly and liver spotted as Donnie is.
But Donnie thinks of the vastness of space, of the planets they all saw as teens, of the societies filled with people that barely even blinked at him and his brothers, years before earth accepted its mutant population as people and not monsters- of the adventures they had together, outside the race to find the black hole generator pieces before the Triceratons, where they bonded and laughed and were free, even just for a few hours- and he sighs, wistful and longing.
A part of Donnie admittedly wants to be up there, too. He’s old, sure, but he’s not so old he’s forgotten how it feels. The rush of adrenaline, the breathlessness of a fight- terror and exhilaration mixing together in a way that made him feel alive. His youthful years made him an unwilling adrenaline junkie, after repeated exposure to danger and adventure, and a part of him misses those years. The bizarrely mixed freedom and entrapment of being who he was in a society that just wasn’t ready for any of them.
It also was psychologically and emotionally scarring at times, not to mention so painfully isolated it left them all stunted and bent in important places that took years of therapy to even somewhat correct. The adrenaline rushes were great, yes, but the wars, the fighting, the losses… they’d just been kids; Donnie and his brothers and their friends. Dealing with all those things messed them up thoroughly, to the point Donnie still triple checks anyone’s background before letting them get anywhere close to his family.
They’d been heroes at times, been on top of the world and felt like gods- but they’d been so young, back then. So many enemies bearing down on them, so many fractures and wounds put between them by their own bad choices… it’s a wonder any of them lived past thirty, let alone nearly a hundred and still remained as tightly knit as they are.
A flock of birds passes overhead of the farmhouse’s porch, swooping in a swirling cloud of blue feathers. Donnie watches them with lazy attention, and hums to himself.
Tightly knit as they are now, it’s not to say they never had ups and downs. There were years in between the good ones and the great ones, where they hardly spoke at all. Even Mikey. Especially Mikey. There’d been a period of nearly five years where Mikey just… disappeared. No note, no hint of when he’d return. Just… gone, off into the universe with only his nunchucks.
That’d been triggered by Leatherhead’s passing, Donnie recalls with a soft pang of grief. Their first and most dependable mutant friend, and their second friend ever. Mikey’s best friend, even with the decades spent apart because of Dimension-X. Leatherhead had been old even while they were young adults; worn and scarred because of the war he’d fought on behalf of earth and them. When he’d finally passed… the old crocodile had gone quietly, lying down one day and never waking again.
Donnie remembers he and his family had been roughly in their late twenties at the time. That, as he recalls with a tired nostalgia, had been the worst of their budding recovery years.
After holding himself together through their father’s death, and the fracturing of their family following that… Donnie remembers seeing Mikey finally cracking somewhere. And that crack had spread through him, leaving Mikey veritable a spider’s web.
And so he’d run, from the loss, from the grief- from everything. Donnie still can feel the ache Mikey’s absence had left in all of them, even now. He’d very nearly lost his brother for good during those years, and Donnie… still doesn’t know if he’d have recovered from that.
Mikey had come back, of course, but Donnie knows it’d been hard for Mikey to do that. Out of all of them, Mikey has somehow always been the most dependant and yet independent member of their family. Dimension-X proved he could be on his own, as well as all the years he spent wandering; but the way he’d hugged them all upon returning proved he still very much needed his family, even if being in the city where they lost so many people hurt him deeply at times.
Donnie is lucky he’s never lost someone quite like Leatherhead. The people he’s closest to are still alive and healthy as anyone their age can be. Perhaps he should feel a deep stabbing grief for his father’s untimely death, like he knows Raph and Leo still sometimes do… but for whatever reason, Donnie doesn’t feel that.
Everyone Donnie loves is still here with him, spread out as they sometimes are. He’d never had the same relationship his elder brothers did with Splinter, and he’s old enough now to tell that’s likely why Splinter’s death didn’t gut him as much as it could of. Donnie misses his father, but not as much as he would miss any one of his brothers or friends, should they have been the ones who died.
Leo nearly died, years before Splinter actually did, and because of that Donnie knows for certain. His father’s MIA status during those months didn’t affect him nearly as much as Leo’s coma. In the end, it seems the people Donnie did and still does cherish most are his brothers, and the two humans who stuck with them through everything.
April and Casey. Donnie doesn’t know where he and his brothers would have ended up without them. Never mind all the times the two humans bailed Donnie’s family out of trouble at the last second- without April, it’s likely that the world wouldn’t be what it is now. If the Kraang had gotten a hold of April, used her for the terraforming invasion they’d planned… Donnie nearly shudders at the thought. Everyone would be dead or enslaved if they hadn’t rescued April that night, and if she hadn’t taken the hanging threat over her life and spat on it.
Really, if April O’Neil hadn’t been the woman she became, Donnie doesn’t doubt things could have gone so much worse.
He could’ve done without the possession and temporary death, though. That had been… less than enjoyable. Za’naron gave everyone nightmares for months afterwards, most of all Donnie and April. They’ve long since moved past that night, grown out of the strain it’d put on their relationship… but some nights it still comes to him, same as every trauma Donnie has ever been through. He knows April suffers the same way, however little she’s ever spoken about it.
They’re still close, regardless of any fissure put between them before. Regardless of the years their entire family ended up drifting apart, miring in their own griefs and regrets and wanderlust to do and see more than fighting… he and April are still dear friends. Living together, sharing their kitchen and workspace and living room, is proof of how dear they are to each other.
Maybe not how his younger self imagined, but… Donnie is more than content with that. That crush became genuine affection over time, and that genuine affection grew into steady, true love. Again, not the sort his teenage self ever thought would happen, but Donnie as an old and aging turtle likes it just fine. It’s the sort that lasts, that keeps on through decades. The sort that April shares with all of Donnie’s siblings, and Casey, too. The sort that brought them all back together, in the end, and has kept them closely linked ever since.
He’s old, and he’s sentimental, and that’s probably why he’s sitting on a porch by himself and thinking cheesy thoughts about his family when he could be working.
Still, it’s good to come back to this scene ever once in a while. Though it had at first been a place of grief and time spent waiting for miracles… the farmhouse became a staple to them all in years passed. It was the first place Donnie and his brothers could walk freely under the sun, and that’s not something any of them would ever forget in a hurry.
It’s a place his entire family can come back to, and be together like they used to. A place where the world seems distant and there is only warmth and long summer days to be had.
Donnie chuckles to himself. He really is getting old, thinking things like that.
His hearing might be going, too, seeing as a hand is gently laid on his shoulder, and he heard no footsteps approaching.
“I was wondering where you got off to,” says Donnie’s very first best friend, and he turns his head to look up at her.
April smiles, crinkling the few crow’s feet that line her eyes. “Your assistant told me you threw quite the fit at the board of directors today,” She smirks, just as amused as she always is when this happens. “Would you mind telling me why you’re skulking in here, while there are important meetings to be had?”
Donnie looks at his friend, and feels the surge of nostalgia that’s been sweeping him the past few minutes. April has nearly pure white hair now, wrinkles beautifully lining parts of her face. She’s old as he is, and yet…
Donnie knows some of it is makeup, to ease the suspicion that she isn’t quite human. Donnie knows he and his brothers have a few decades yet before their mutant bodies really begin to breakdown, but April?
April was designed to conquer worlds, and what scientist would build a weapon that truly aged?
He suspects April, who walks with a straight back and steely gaze even now, will be around to terrorize rival companies for a long while yet.
“I’m ninety, April,” Donnie says, smirking back at her. “I’m allowed to have moments of elderly madness.”
She rolls her eyes. “Would you mind avoiding tossing papers into employee’s faces? They’re high-strung as it is.”
“Hm, I’ll try my best, but no promises. Old men tend to forget things, you know.”
She swats him. Donnie laughs, giving in and rising from his seat. “Alright, I’ll go apologize to the plebeians. But if they make another try at getting me to retire, I’m firing someone.”
“Not before I do,” April says, clicking her tongue. “I’ve already had three of them this year encourage me to start looking for a proper heir. Money grubbing fiends.”
“Shall we show them we still got it, then?” Donnie offers, holding up an elbow.
“Agreed,” April says, taking the offered arm. The simulation of the farmhouse ends as they turn away from the summery scene, leaving a single bench where Donnie had been sitting.
Exiting the holo room in the experimental testing wing, his droves of personally picked scientists and engineers scurry out of their CEO’s way. April’s little heels click on the floor as they do, sharp clacks like whips as they stroll through the hallways. Her ninja skills haven’t dulled at all over the years, including the art of intimidation.
Donnie is content to simply be a looming and wizened figure, a tad on the scary side thanks to his scars and severe looks when he gets in a mood. Leave it to April to actively play up the intimidation factor.
She doesn’t really need to, being the most powerful known psychic in twenty galaxies, but Donnie supposes a ninety year old woman needs to get her kicks somehow.
They nod briefly at the people exiting the elevator as they get in, and Donnie hits the button for the middling upper levels. As the elevator ascends the height of O’Neil Technologies, Donnie feels a pleased little smile tugging at his lips.
Their teen and young adult years had been brutal, and the decades it’d taken to fully integrate mutant, alien, and human society together had been harsh. But now he’s standing in a polished elevator with his best friend and fellow CEO of the most powerful technology company in the world. His brothers and friends are all still alive and causing the chaos they always have.
Mikey, on the ground levels of New York, free to make any friends he pleases and wandering without a care in the world- Leo, off with Karai and Shinigami, tittering to themselves as Karai’s adopted daughter tries to run the Foot Clan with her uncle and mothers leaning over her shoulder and making comments on things- Raph, up in space and still a roughhousing curmudgeon, even with ocular implants he needs to see and old man bones- Casey, the only fully human member of their family, down half his original limbs and still insistent that he’s fit as he was at fifty and just as reckless as he’s always been about danger.
And April, at Donnie’s side, just as lovely and terrifying as she’d been at twenty, as the two of them continue to build and shape earth’s future with technological advancements, and strong-arming the government officials into not being power hungry idiots.
They’ve lost so much, and yet, gained plenty to make for that. And that is why Donnie can smile, and feel content with the life he’s lived, and will keep living.

“Pregnancy Sickness.” - Leorai Fanfic - SirensFantasy
This takes place 1 month into Karai’s pregnancy & already finding it hard...
Chapter 2
“Leo... Leo?... Yo Leo.” Lost in deep thought, the blue masked turtle couldn't hear his brother say his name over and over. Raph frowned and threw his Sai with speed and watched it stab into the vent creating a small spark. “LEO!” “Huh? What?” Leo came out of his thoughts in a hurry, wondering what Raph wanted... “Are you okay? You seem... Er.” Raph asked, Leo then sighed softly. “I’m... Worried, Raph.” “Heh, your always worrying.” Raph joked but Leo frowned and got up to walk away. “You wouldn't understand.” Raph stayed quiet for a moment... Giving a blank expression before rolling his eyes and got up. Following behind slowly, Raph stood by the side of his brother, looking out over the city. Lights glowed and stars filled the dark blue night sky. A warm breeze passed the two brothers, still not one spoke a word...
Meanwhile, back at the lair, Karai groaned and lightly gasped for air. Finding it harder to stand, she leaned against the frame of the bedroom door. Her other arm around her stomach in pain and agony, why was her stomach in so much in pain? Was this normal for a 1 month pregnancy? Karai suddenly let out a gasped and yelled in a lot more pain. Giving in with pain, Karai collapsed to her knees with a loud groan, her insides twisted and clenched tighter. “LEO!” Screaming out with another hit of pain, her eyes filled with tears, squeezing them shut and gasped again! Clenching her hands into fists trying to breath, though finding it difficult to do so. Still, no one came to help...
.............
“It was nice you coming out with us, sensei.” Donnie smiled while walking beside Splinter, Mikey rode ahead on his skateboard. “Indeed, Donatello.” Replying back to his tallest son, Splinter and Donnie watched the youngest turtle happily riding along with not a care in the world. *Humming* Suddenly breaking the sounds of running water and cars above, Donnie started to hum to himself. Splinter couldn't help but smile, thinking back, when the turtles were once mere turtle tots following him through the sewers... Now, having two of his youngest sons here while his two oldest sons were on the surface. It seemed only yesterday since he had forbid them from going topside, to them, freely going out whenever they felt like it. Still fears for his son’s safety from the world above!... “My sons.” Getting Donnie’s attention, Splinter looked to Mikey, still skateboarding happily. “Hey, Mikey, Splinter wants us.” Donnie called out. “Huh? Sorry sensei.” Mikey came running over and waited for Splinter to speak... Sighing softly, the two brothers felt Splinter place his hands on each of their shoulders and showed a soft smile. But somehow, Mikey and Donnie knew what their father was thinking and feeling without words being spoken. Inviting the two in for a warm hug, Mikey happily snuggled against Splinter’s fur and giggled. “We’re still missing two turtles, sensei.” Donnie said, pulling away. “Hm, indeed we are, Donatello... Come, let us, go home.” Splinter led the way back to the lair. “YAY! Back to Karai.” Mikey zoomed passed his Donnie and Splinter on his skateboard happily whistling a tune...
.............
In the main area of the lair, kneeling over breathing in and out slowly but deeply, Karai felt weak and dizzy. Feel herself giving in more and more with each pain that struck her insides. Trying her best to remain couscous, only to feel her head shutting down and her sight, went black. *Groan... THUD* Falling onto her side with a thud and groaned, Karai blacked out!...
.............
“C’mon, Leo, let’s head back, before Splinter kills us heh.” Encouraging his brother to move, Leo smiled at Raph’s pushy side. Following him only to run behind which had formed into a race. Leo and Raph leaped and flipped over vents and across rooftops, keeping the same pace though Raph seemed to go a lot faster. “Oh No You Don’t!” *Laughing* “Come Get Me, Leo!” Teasing his blue masked brother, Raph smirked, slipping through a small gap and jumped down into a dark alley... After minutes of racing, the two brothers walked through the sewers, tired, hungry and even more tired. *Yawn* “RAPH!” Mikey called out from the end of the tunnel, Leo smiled as he saw Splinter with his brothers. Mikey skateboard over to his older brothers and hugged Raph happily. *Growl* “Get Off Me Ya Creep!” Raph growled but Mikey laughed and teased him. Hey guys, back from you’re exercise?” Donnie asked, meeting up and continued making their way back home...
*Giggling* “Mikey Your Insane.” Donnie laughed... *GASP* “KARAI!”...

Dragging himself, blooded from head to toe, the turtle had barely made it out of the nightmare he just lived through. The Asylum... Walking with slow, weak steps, Leo groaned with each little move he made through the dusty outskirts of... Well, nowhere. Only following the broken old railway tracks that were covered over by twisted ivy and the dried up blood over time... Pain in his heart and soul, Leo cried as he stumbled over. *THUD* Falling to the ground as the visions of his, brothers and, Karai, dying right in front of him... “I, I’m S, sorry.” He whispered as tears streamed his cheeks.
*FLASHBACK*
“LEO!” “R, RAPH!... RAAPPPHHH AHHHH!”
*FLASH*
“K, Karai... I, LOVE YOU! D, don’t leave, me.”
*FLASH*
“I, I’m s, sorry, Donnie.”
*FLASH*
“L, LEO H, HELP ME!” *Mikey’s Voice Echos* “MIKEY DON’T GO PLEASE!”
*END OF FLASHBACK*
“AH, n, no.” *Panting* “S, Stop It!” *Crying* Leo grabbed his head and cried, shaking in fear and lost. “I’m... s, sorry.” Ending in a whisper as he cried, the turtle laid on his side, curled up, bleeding, bruised and... Alone.
.............
“Karai?... Karai wake up.” Raph nudged her gently til her eyes slowly opened. “Hm? Huh?” Yawning softly, Karai woke up feeling a cold breeze hit her skin making her shiver inside. “C, Cold.” Raph felt a shiver from her skin as her head rested against his shoulder, helping her up seeing her hair blow in the wind as well his red mask tails. “Heh, yeah, it is pretty cold now... Let’s go.” Leading the way off the docks, Karai yawned before leaping down from the slated roof... “Race ya home Princess? Unless your afraid of gettin’ beat.” Raph teased her, Karai couldn't pass down this opportunity to beat Raph... Again. “In You’re Dream... And uh, what does the winner get?” Karai asked, leaning forward with a flirty gaze... Raph suddenly showed a small blush that he tried to hide. “U, uh... I?” Trying to think... Raph smirked and leaned closer. “Last one back has to Do whatever they want for an hour.” Raph said, waiting for Karai to reply, but saw her staring at him. “S, sorry I... I wasn't, I didn't.” *GASP* Gasping in shock! Raph froze! Karai’s lips were pressed against his lips to shut him up! “OH MY GOD!... K, Karai’s KISSING ME... ME!” Raph’s brain fuzzed and rattled in confusion and thoughts. Hot and dazed, his head spun only to feel nothing. Pulling away ever so slightly, Karai poked the turtle’s beak with her fingertip in a playful way... Blushing deeply, deeper, Raph blinked... Touching his mouth in silence. “W, Why’d ya k, kiss me?” He asked, seeing Karai move back and sighed. “S, sorry.” Karai took a small step back... “Y, you've been reminding me of... Leo, plus I, I.” Karai looked away, suddenly feeling Raph’s hand on her shoulder. Looking back seeing his bright green eyes and a smile. “I... I understand, I miss him too.” Silence for a moment, looking at one another, slowly Karai saw Raph lean his head closer only to touch his forehead against hers. Their eyes fell shut in silence... *Peck* Karai felt a very light, soft peck on her head, her eyes stayed closed, slowly pulling away, Karai saw the turtle in red blushing made her giggle, rushing forward to give him a hug, Raph blinked... Then sighed, bringing his arms around to hug her back... “Race Ya!... TAG!” Karai playfully tagged the turtle before dashing off into the night. “HEY CHEATER!” *Laughing* Chasing after her, Raph leaped down and over, dodging the vents ahead.
.............
“Michelangelo!” Splinter called out... *CHOCK* *GASP* Mikey chocked on his pizza and coughed it up then jumped up. “Yes Master?” Splinter paused, stroking his beard in thought... “Where are Miwa and Raphael?” He asked calmly, Mikey looked around, then shrugged. “I... I think they headed out.” Mikey answered, though, he wasn't sure. “BEAT YA RAPHAEL!” Karai happily cheered as she rushed into the lair, Mikey and Splinter both blinked... Raph came in panting and out of breathe. *Panting* “Y, yeah... Y, you sure.” *CRASH*... *GROAN* Falling down with a crash, Raph groaned, Karai offered her hand and pulled the turtle to his feet... “Hey guys.” Mikey greeted meeting them the rest of the way, Splinter followed behind. “Welcome home.” Moments later Donnie appeared from the lab holding his mug of coffee and rubbing his tired eyes. “Hey D.” Mikey smiled. “Sup?” Donnie could only say, the lair stood in silence... “D, Donatello.” Karai spoke, stepping closer a tad bit, a small gap between her and the tall turtle... “I... I’m sorry I, treated you, the way I did.” Donnie blinked, she’s apologizing? But, he felt more ashamed of his actions, his sudden anger no one had expected from him, drawing his eyes up and instantly seeing the gash on her cheek! The mark He had made on her, which would possibly leave a scar of some kind. *Soft Sigh*... “No, I’m the one who’s sorry, I’m sorry for the things I said before, I didn't mean, I was...” Donnie tried to finish, but couldn't, finding it hard to do so, Karai bowed her head, waiting, until Donnie did the same back... As a way of forgiveness in his way... Splinter felt happy that the two had made up, but he was still missing a son. Leonardo. “What’s the news Donnie? Any finding on Leo?” Raph asked. “Oh! Follow me.” Donnie was struck with delight, getting the others to follow him back into the lab...
.............
*GROWL* *RIP* *SQUEAL* Sounds of Walkers tearing through the body parts of dead humans, Leo tried to pick up the speed, but found with each step, was like stabs to his bones. Panting as the sight of Walkers... But! He saw, they didn't notice him? “Huh?” The Walkers, saw him, like them, another m, monster! Leo stopped, staring out into the deserted field of... Nowhere. Breathing in and out slow, Leo felt his legs go weak, shaky and hurting, the deep open gashes and wounds made him shiver in pain and... “AHH!” Moaning out in pain and the stinging pain, Leo cried, his fingers twitched and eyes fell tiredness... *CRASH* Falling hard onto his plastron, the dead grass that felt, dead between his blooded fingers and toes, dropping the silver gun, with slow yet deep breathing, Leo slowly, lifted his head up with weakness... *Gasp*... His eyes stared out... An old broken down house stood in front of him, his eyes darted to the random blooded hand prints here and there. Ivy covered the wood and window in age, blood, dried on the wood planks and the look, scared him... “It’s a, risk... But I, I’ll take it.” Forcing himself up onto his feet, Leo picked up his gun, looking down seeing he was still wearing the white band around his wrist, feeling sick at the sight of the dried up blood, trying to remove it... But his energy failed to remove it, looking up at the house, he breathed in... And took the first few steps towards the door, worried, as to what lies inside?
