my brain is going straight to cain and abel idk i wanna say he bashed someones brain in with a rock and from there i see two routes, he brained him from behind so he didnt have to look this man in the eyes and really see what he’s done and think too hard about whether or not this person has a family or someone waiting for him to never come home or if he’s a regular at a shop that will leave a clerk wondering why he never came back. reader eats him right where he drops. jj never sees his face

OR its the opposite and it is… horrific. he planned on getting him quick but he hesitated just a second too long and now he’s quite literally in a fight for his life because hello to this random everyday man (in my head he has to be the most typical boring average white man, think john doe in se7en, no one but everyone simultaneously) this dirty desperate boy in overalls is trying to kill him for no reason and it is animalistic but also painfully human and reeks of fear and jj ends up smashing his face in over and over (think ellie in the last of us). he throws up in the bushes and maybe cries a little but he tries to collect himself before he goes back to reader because he knows she needs him. she’s hungry

either way i feel like the faceless victim would be a recurring motif idk

firstly the faceless victim really is perfect because i think theyd both do their best to strip away their humanity for different but similar reasons

i love the desperation of the second scenario. because i could see this being an accident. maybe for some reason for just a split second he changes his mind but he’s already started. and that scar is starting to itch because she’s somewhere in the bushes or in the truck in pain bc shes so hungry and he’s slipped up now the person is running in sheer terror, jj’s dropped the knife and he’s chasing after this person who’s mortally wounded and running like a struck deer until jj reaches him and finishes him off with a rock

sorry this took a while! I planned to have the first one out before/on Christmas :((

first it started as you inviting ranboo to do a Christmas baking stream with you

then you accidentally mentioned it in front of Tommy and tubbo

tubbo asked to join so you said yes

and Tommy was going on and on about betrayal or whatnot so you invited him

inviting Tommy did not stop him btw – after you invited him he started complaining that you invited him last when he's first in everything

if u wanna shut him up rq just threaten to not include him in the stream ✋

ranboo is excited! he's baked before so that clearly puts him one step ahead of everyone – well, everyone except you since you've been, like, actually taught

tubbo constantly jokes abt burning the kitchen down during the stream – aw c'mon y/n!! it'd be fun!!!

in all seriousness he's a bit nervous of someone getting harmed during the stream, but you already know how to deal with baking wounds and how to prevent them so not that much!

Tommy, on the other hand, is nervous for the pure reason he's never done this before

oh god, what if he fucks something up?? what if he completely forgets all the baking rules he knows when he steps into the kitchen and puts rin foil in the microwave??

hes calmed down a lot by the time the stream rolls around though!

you already had the stuff set up before the boys showed themselves to the camera (chat didn't know they were joining)

you were like "so, I invited some friends! I hope you don't mind, chat!" and then they boys walked in frame

before the stream started Tommy asked if he could be introduced by him throwing flour at you

then tubbo quickly jumped in the same boat, asking if he could do the same

tubbo threw flour at you anyway

prompting Tommy to throw flour at him because "they already said no!!" "what the hell, man?" "you deserved it."

you and ranboo looked at each other, then the two boys with flour on the shirt, face, and in their hair, then your eyes switched to the camera,

you sighed is faux annoyance but quickly shut your eyes to avoid anything getting in them when tubbo put his hands to his hair and shook it out

Tommy didn't care about the flour though, just ignored it

once you eventually got back on track it was like a teacher and their students bc the only one who knew what they were doing was you

so it was basically a game of monkey see, monkey do

of course there were hiccups but you eventually got through it!

you even made pretty okay cookies!!

ranboo's cookies burned a little though

you don't even know how because you split up the recipe into fourths so you could all put them in at the same time, so ranboo's cookies were in there the same time as everyone else's! same pan and everything!!

tubbo accidentally broke an arm off of one of his gingerbread man cookies and tried fixing it with red icing (which only partially worked) but brushed it off by braking the other arm off and putting red icing there too saying "what? he just got stuck in one of saw's traps.."

It's not like he isn't supportive!! No no, he loves what you do it's just...

He feels like this isn't really helping YOU in the long term.

He also wants to make sure you're safe, and having your identity (and his) out there, freaks him out a bit...

Especially with the more... eccentric... fans...

But if you invite him to play with you off-stream, he can get it pretty quickly. Esp if you take him mining!! He will spend forEVER in the mines just to find the block you're looking for.

“Ugh, I wish I had diamonds >:/” *like an hour later* “RUV HOW DID YOU MANAGE TO GET 30 DIAMONDS?????”

He's very good at gathering material, and killing mobs. And did I mention he loves pvp?

You give him Hypixel and Skywars and trust me he'll be distracted for HOURS. My mans just wants his wins.

He likes the game, but probably wouldn’t spend hours on it just to grind kinda thing. Would hop on if you asked him nicely.

Streaming on the other hand, he's doesn't really like the fact you stream.

If you're a faceless streamer, he gets a little more relaxed about it. He'll join you on a very rare occasion for quote, “emotional support”

And he likes watching you play, it's somehow soothing???

But if you aren't a faceless streamer, he is NEVER going to come near the room you stream is EVER. You could literally drag him there (if you manage) and he still will never enter that room.

He's literally a criminal???? Why would he want his identity leaked????? That only ends badly.

But he does still watch on a (totally secret) twitch account. He'll watch the entire thing to make sure nothing A. goes wrong or B. just to collect more channel points.

But as soon as stream is over he attempts to at least offer to hangout or something.

If you vlog at all, he'll come with and help...

But he just ends up as the camera man. Everything you do in said vlog, he'll get for your video and that's it.

But, all in all, he isn't too bad about it. Just be careful with the cameras. Alright?

AGOTI:

The most supportive out of EVERYONE. Manz LOVES when you do streams.

If you invited him to stream with you, no matter the time, it's fuck all to whatever else may happen that day or if he's gotten enough sleep. It's gamer time boys.

You may have to explain a couple jokes to him during stream, but he can get it with a bit of time.

And yes, he LOVES playing Minecraft with you!! Playing one of his favorite games with his favorite person??? Fuck yeah!!

He's definitely the guy that just spends all his time in the nether, like.

You'd literally have to drag him out.

But for real, he loves just being near you when you're streaming, it's just so... comforting!!

You're voice is just so soothing to him, he can't help but be near you!! But, if it genuinely makes you uncomfy he'll lay off.

And yes, he's always going to encourage the shipping of you. That's just gonna have to be a given.

And of course, lets you use his music in stream (and makes sure it plays during stream.)

If you do vlogs for your channel, he 100% will go with anything you plan. Need to run halfway across the city for a bit? Absolutely let's go! Slipping and falling? Yes. He'll do anything for the cam.

But in the end, he loves what you do. And loves to be apart of what you do.

Whitty:

Like Ruv, he's a little weary about your streams.

Again, it's not like he isn't supportive!! It's just that he really doesn't want Updike finding him.

But that doesn't mean that he won't watch your streams... despite the fact he barely understand how streams work.

He isn't there often, and doesn't really understand what streaming even is but... you're happy, so he's happy!

If you tell a joke to him off-stream you're going to have to explain the SHIT out of it...

If you end up being able to teach him Minecraft, he's definitely no help at all. He'll end up staying in the base because he's a bit too scared to go fight the mobs.

But on the plus side, he's really good at building! He'll make a pretty little cottage for you if you ask.

Also surprisingly good with red stone?? Like he just makes little contraptions to make it easier for you to do certain things.

Any excuse to not leave the base, looks like you'll be collecting resources, sorry hun.

If you decide to vlog, than like Ruv he's 100% behind the camera. He may even help set up a stunt or two ;).

the way i see the daisy and basira issue is not really that the narrative is condoning daisy’s actions (bc i dont think it is), but at the end of the day she still gets to be a complex and morally grey character that the audience understands and sympathizes with, who is ultimately aligned with the heroes, while her victims remain mostly nameless faceless “monsters”. i dont really like that the issue of police brutality is approached by centering the cops instead of the victims

oh that’s a very good point thank you for bringing it up! you’re right that the “balance” in terms of daisy’s arc is very much skewed towards her which isn’t appropriate through a lens of “this character is a critique of police brutality.” mike crew is maybe the only victim of hers who we actually get a chance to get to know. (i don’t count her childhood friend bc we technically only see him through “her” statement) i do still think it’s possible to enjoy daisy and basira and make/consume content of them critically but perhaps it would be misleading of me to imply that daisy’s narrative is like. a Good critique of police brutality, again bc of what you said. i don’t think daisy was put in the story with the goal of being some exemplary critique of the police system, like i said in my other post she and basira are just there because the story needed cops for plot reasons. and you know what maybe jonny and rq could have done without them maybe they could’ve humanized daisy’s victims more but they didn’t. and that IS on them. but it also means it’s up to us to fill in the gaps by making observations such as the one you sent in this ask. so like. you’re right. really at the end of the day i just made those posts cause i don’t like how ppl who choose to avoid daisy and basira content act as if everyone who does make or enjoy content featuring them is a bootlicker and cop sympathizer
