u see fans were gonna go w pressure duo since the first time y'all interacted he carried every convo y'all ever had and you were just like "ah... um, yeah heh;;" so it was like, the pressure to try and make convo cause u felt guilty that he started and carried them all 😭✋

but then someone was like "y'all is that a bit too close to peer pressure duo??", it was split but eventually jitterduo got more popular so everyone switched to that :)

named jitterduo because you both got the jitters!! Tommy is just extroverted so it seems like he has the jitters and you're just super nervous/shy so you do have the jitters

every pickles duo artist has drawn that pic at least once btw, anyway

at first it was a joke then they were like yes yes so true and bam is was ur genuine duo name

the joke surfaced from one of your first interactions and how that energy lasted through the friendship

you left the voice channel with multiple of the dsmp members to chill in a different vc for a little because all that social stimulation at once was getting overwhelming for you

but you promised chat you'd rejoin after you recharged your social battery (most of them didn't push and were reminding you to take care of yourself first)

after a little bit tubbo realized you were gone, and he knew you were shy, it was basically common knowledge to anyone who has seen any of your content, and ngl he felt a little guilty so he left vc and joined yours!

he asked if you were alright and if you needed him to "tell them to shut their faces", you, of course, declined with a little laugh

alas it was rhetorical and he left your vc anyways 😕 you talked to chat before tubbo rejoined and told you it should be ok to rejoin the main vc without getting a headache now

haha fun fact this was written spontaneously in about two hours (I think) and around 12 at night lol it's almost 1 now ! I have 3 exams tmrrw gn everyone enjoy spontaneous really really sappy dream fic I hope u like it <3

He knew he loved you, you have been dating for quite a while. obviously he loves you. but he's now realizing, maybe there is such thing as loving too much.

every time he thinks about it he argues with himself, is that actually a thing? he doesn't think so; if there was such a thing, wouldn't he know and it'd offset the balance? there can't be such a thing. but maybe there is? he feels like it everytime you're in the same room or he thinks about you – it's like every time you're part of the equation at all he gets all giddy. he feels like a high schooler with an obvious crush.

Dream does feel it – "it" being loving you too much – he feels it often, but only now is he hyper aware of it.

you're both in the same room, but doing different things. you're in the comfortable chair in the living room, doing work on your laptop, and he's laid back on the couch, playing on his phone.

only he can't seem to make himself focus on his phone for too long. he keeps glancing up at you, staring, realizing, then snapping his eyes back to the screen in his hand that currently showed reddit posts he hasn't had the care to read. you caught him a couple of times, every time you caught him he would immediately look back to his phone, his face heating up.

not out of embarrassment, you were just so attractive, making eye contact for too long right now might actually make him combust – he thinks the exact same, only, it's not a joke to him! he serious!! he might actually, literally combust.

you would giggle a couple of times, or maybe a joking scoff – one filled with amusement and affection – and his face would get hotter. oh my god, oh my god, you're literally perfect. even the laughs that are barely there are amazing. he loves you so much.

Dream knows he loves you "too much" as you're both in the kitchen. he's cooking, but you wanted to hang out with him as he did – when you said you wanted to stay in the kitchen with him he got butterflies. he mentally tells himself to chill out! it's you, y/n! his lover of literal years!! why is he still getting butterflies?! from what he's heard the butterflies are supposed to calm down over time!! he's had time!

but, he can't really bring himself to be mad at the butterflies, they're because of you, after all.

while he's cooking he's making conversation with you while you sit on a portion of the counter that isn't being used over near the edge of the kitchen. he can't seem to just let a moment of silence last, he breaks it everytime, prompting more replies from you. he can't stop seeming to want to hear your voice.

everytime he looks over at you he smiles – he was smiling before, happy to be spending quality time with you – but his smile changes when his eyes wander over to you. it gets more giddy, excited, happy, adoring, whatever you want to describe it as! all of the above! god you look perfect and you're not even wearing anything special.

you're in an oversized sleep shirt that has a few stains and the design is fading, sweatpants that don't have much going on but the drawstrings are tied in a messy bow that's lopsided, you're wearing miss-matched socks, one is faded hot pink that has a print of a hamster on a skateboard repeated all around it, the other is cream-colored and you can clearly see the cat hair on it. you look perfect. he doesn't know what it is, is it because you look so at peace right now? domestic? is it the fact you're in his house on his counter? his not sure – its probably both plus more.

Dream gets so excited to bring you places were you have to sign up or make a reservation or whatnot. not because it's fancy, it doesn't have to be, he could care less honestly (seeing you getting dressed up is so a plus though and he loves seeing the outfits you choose! everything looks good on you doesn't it?).

it's the fact he gets to say "reservation for dream and my partner, y/n, please!" or hear you say "yes, me – y/n, sorry! – me and my boyfriend, dream, signed up for this"

getting to let people know he's dating you, you chose him over everyone else! it makes him lightheaded – he gets the privilege to love you, and you love him back – he gets emotional if he thinks about it for too long. he got so lucky, he thinks, he's so lucky and greatful that has you.

out of everything, though, he thinks he feels it the most when you're getting ready for bed and laying down. he's laid down on his back and you're curled up to him on his left side. one of your legs is hooked over his body, the other straighted out against the mattress, one of your hands is laying near your head – both laid on his chest, the other is wrapped around his back in a way that it's comfortable for you both.

Dream's left arm is hugging you closer to him, lazily laying down your back, crossing over your waist, and his hand settled on your thigh near your knee. his right hand is laid on top of your head.

you're trying to go to sleep, but he can't find the will to do the same just yet. he wants you be conscious to experience this a little longer. logically he knows you will both cuddle every other night, as is your usual night routine, but he just can't sleep yet. his looking down at you as you get more comfortable, adjusting your position slightly and moving as close to him as you can – he swears this is what heaven must be – nothing can top this.

he's so happy to be in the position he's in, being loved and cuddled by you, being able to sleep by your side in the same bed every night. he can't even bring himself to care if your nails are a bit too long and scratch him a little while youre grabbing a handful of his shirt with the hand laying on his chest, or when you move your jaw a little to swallow spit and it feels weird, or if you drool on his shirt, or when his hand becomes numb because he hasn't moved it in too long. all of these things are perfect, he's ultimately decided.

while he's looking down at you all of his feelings for you flood him at once, god, what did he do to deserve you? whatever it was, he prays to whatever caused this asking for it to be enough for you to spend a lifetime together. if there is more than one life, then all of those as well.

he thinks about how you chose him, how you accepted his confession and loved him so much, and continue to love him, how he gets to spend however long he has with you if you'll have him, how he's gotten to spend the past few years with you, how you exchange "I love you"s everyday. even thinks of the small things, how you both do your nightly routines at the same time in the same bathroom, how he's able to just come up behind you and rest his head on your shoulder while you're doing something, how you can be playful and loving. everything, he loves everything about you and his life with you

while thinking of this, his mind starts to forget you're real – you're amazing, wonderful, perfect, he's in awe of you. his hand moves without thinking about it and he starts scratching your head lightly, slowly. the feeling of your hair under his fingers reminds him that you are real and you're laying on him, cuddling him and loving him, and judging by the way you act, you won't be stopping anytime soon. he starts crying, making sure to keep quiet to not disturb your sleep. his hand moves from your head to your torso, hugging you, his hand on your torso pulls you more into him and his hand on your thigh hikes your leg a little bit higher. he curls into you a little and presses his nose into your hair and closes his eyes. he loves you so much, he thinks it might cause the end of him, but with such a sweet end, he can't bring himself to mind.
