Consider how far you have fallen! Repent and do the things you did at first. If you do not repent, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place. (Revelation 2:5)
Think back to what your relationship with Christ was like when you were first saved. Reflect on what it felt like to trust Him, for both the simplest and the greatest of your needs. Repent and do the things you did at first. Return to what you did at first- the spiritual disciplines that kept you close to Jesus and motivated you to follow Him closely. Because there is a price to be paid for drifting away. Therefore, let us draw close to God and walk in His ways, in love and obedience.

It bothers the hell out of me when no one talks about what George stacy? (whatever his name is) (gwens dad) pulling out a gun and was (probably) going to harm his own kid?? why is no one talking about? why is that scene so overlooked?? it's so fucking overlooked, call me whatever, but my gut has been screaming to me about it, it's so weird how overlooked it is, And I know it's not just me, but I also feel kike I know why and it sucks, I feel bad for gwen, I don't think she'll ever look at him that way and it's not being talked about as much.
NO DEADASS REALLY FOR REAL DEADASS
Like the implications of that scene are insane - if we question what he would've done, like it gets sickening.
Because he let out a warning shot, he's going by procedure. So if Gwen hadn't complied, what would he have done? If she 'resisted arrest' is he really ready to use force - A GUN on his own daughter.
He KNOWS she Spider-Gwen now. He's see what she can do - Gwen could probably dodge a bullet if she knew she was being shot at. Knowing that, he was doing that to get her to submit in fear, that hopefully his place as a cop would scare her into WHAT?? Giving herself up.
Gwen CAN'T.
This is NYC mind you.
If you get arrested in NYC they send you Riker's Island while you wait for trail. Riker's Island being the jail that inspired ARKHAM ASYLUM.
It's considered one of the foulest facilities in the country. Gwen is what, 16-17? Wanted for murder - the cops HATE her, the courts could easily trial her as an adult.
Was he REALLY ready to throw his 16 year old daughter into the most dangerous neglective hellish place the city has to offer? Was he ready to shoot her or worse?
WHAT WAS HE GONNA DO??? CAUSE WHATEVER IT WAS...HE SEEMED COMMITED TO DOING IT.
SIR WHAT WERE YOU GOING TO INFLICT UPON YOU INNOCENT CHILD - HOBIE GET THE GUITAR
Tumblr media Tumblr media
No wonder she was gonna leave without talking to him. If Hobie hadn't come over, she would've rather been homeless on the streets rather than try and face her dad again - knowing it can end up MUCH worse.
Not knowing if he's looking for her to apologize or throw her in a cruiser he makes me SICKKKK BRUHH ITs NOT EVEN FUNNY AT THIS POINT
As soon as he started talking she had an attitude because she's still pissed about there. There's so much sadness there but anger too, cause like
How you deadass pull a gun on your only family??????????????
How you deadass about to send your daughter to a detention center or a jail OR MORE LIKELY COMPLETE SOLITARY. Consider her powers.
Like..... These movies want me to pat him and Peter B. on the back for a job well done when they BOTH let Gwen down. And Gwen has to come TO THEM to fix it (which I understand for her dad but Peter r u deadass)
Meanwhile Jefferson is doing TWENTY THOUSAND TIMES BETTER WTF
FUCK GEORGE STACY ALL MY HOBIES HATE GEORGE STACY JEFFERSON DAVIS IS A KIN
Tumblr media
DO YOU THINK HED EVER PULL A GUN ON MILES NO!!!!!

The Parable of the Lost Sheep:
Redemption and Restoration
In the parable of the Lost Sheep, Jesus conveys a deep message about the relentless pursuit of redemption and the boundless grace of God. Let us delve into this timeless story and explore its significance in our lives today.
A certain shepherd had a hundred sheep, yet one of them strayed from the fold. Undeterred by the ninety-nine, the shepherd embarked on a relentless search for the lost sheep. He scoured the hills and valleys until, at last, he found the wayward sheep, weary and alone.
Filled with compassion, the shepherd tenderly lifted the sheep onto his shoulders and rejoiced, calling together his friends and neighbors to celebrate the sheep's return. In the same way, Jesus explains, there is more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance (Luke 15:3-7).
This parable reminds us of the depth of God's love and his unwavering commitment to seek out and restore the lost. Just as the shepherd pursued the lost sheep, so too does our Heavenly Father pursue each one of us with relentless love and compassion.
No matter how far we may have strayed, God's arms are always open wide, ready to welcome us back into His embrace. His grace knows no bounds, and His forgiveness is freely offered to all who humble themselves and turn back to Him.
The parable of the Lost Sheep challenges us to reflect on our own lives and consider those areas where we may have wandered away from God's path. It beckons us to return to the fold, to repent of our sins, and to experience the joy of reconciliation with our Heavenly Father.
Just as the shepherd rejoiced over the lost sheep's return, so too does God rejoice over each one of us when we turn back to Him. Our repentance brings joy to heaven, and our restored relationship with God brings fulfillment and purpose to our lives.
Broader context:
Parable of the Lost Sheep (Luke 15:3-7):
This is the main passage where the parable is found.
God's Pursuit of the Lost:
Ezekiel 34:16 - God seeks out the lost and brings them back to safety.
Isaiah 53:6 - We all, like sheep, have gone astray, but the Lord laid on Jesus the iniquity of us all.
Matthew 18:12-14 - Jesus' teaching about the shepherd who leaves the ninety-nine to seek the one lost sheep.
Psalm 119:176 - Like a lost sheep, seek your servant, for I have not forgotten your commands.
God's Rejoicing over Repentance:
Luke 15:10 - There is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.
Luke 15:32 - It was fitting to celebrate and be glad, for your brother was dead, and is alive; he was lost, and is found.
Acts 3:19 - Repent therefore, and turn back, that your sins may be blotted out.
God's Unfailing Love and Faithfulness:
Psalm 23:1-3 - The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul.
Psalm 36:5 - Your steadfast love, O Lord, extends to the heavens, your faithfulness to the clouds.
Psalm 136:1 - Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever.
Lamentations 3:22-23 - The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.
The Shepherd's Role as a Metaphor for Jesus:
John 10:11 - I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.
Hebrews 13:20 - Now may the God of peace who brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep, by the blood of the eternal covenant.
Call to Repentance and Restoration:
Joel 2:12-13 - "Yet even now," declares the Lord, "return to me with all your heart, with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning; and rend your hearts and not your garments."
Revelation 3:20 - Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me.
The Joy of Salvation:
Romans 15:13 - May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.
Psalm 51:12 - Restore to me the joy of your salvation and uphold me with a willing spirit.
Questions:
Have I strayed from God's path, and if so, am I willing to humble myself and turn back to Him?
Do I fully grasp the depth of God's love and His relentless pursuit of me, even in my moments of wandering?
How can I share the message of God's grace and redemption with others who may feel lost or disconnected from Him?
What steps can I take to deepen my relationship with God and experience the fullness of His joy and restoration in my life?
Let us pray:
Heavenly Father, we thank you for your unwavering love and grace, demonstrated to us through the parable of the Lost Sheep. Give us the courage to humble ourselves, repent of our sins, and return to you with open hearts. May we never forget the depth of your love for us and the joy that comes from being reconciled to you. In Jesus' name, amen.

✥ "I often wonder what you would do to me If I embraced what my old HP thought of me...and became a true black-winged demon." ✥
♝~✺~♝
"I don't really see why you would want to do that."
Haruto sat on a park bench, gazing out at the people going back and forth and enjoying their day. He always found some way to watch them, to observe the lives and the mental states of the RG. If the RG wasn't healthy, there was a clear problem with the UG, and as its steward he was responsible for maintenance. Especially since the Composer was often so absent.

"But if you were to do that, and it was your choice, I suppose I wouldn't do anything at all. Just as long as you stayed in your own universe, of course. I'm not going to stick my nose in business that it does not belong in. What your current branch does to you is also not my business. Since it would be your decision, there would be no reason for me to take action either way. Why do ask?"

kiss the cross,
confess your sins,
say 'im so sorry, father'.
while tears bead
in deep brown eyes
keep your mouth shut. no bother.
you dare not to waste
a single drop
of sacred grace.
a muffled prayer
falling down your chapped lips
as well as wax from votive candle
streaming hot liquid down your knees
and burning them in sinful manner
accenting every crease.
the god above
will only laugh
and push. again so harshly.
'my child you may and will
take everything i offer.
it is your nature to obey, please understand it, daughter '
just nod
just lick the cross
and swallow.
while hot white tears running down.
god will forgive. forget the sinner.
just as the axe forgets the tree.

Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation without regret, but worldly sorrow brings death. 2 Corinthians 7:10
Too often our repentance is shallow. We’re sad over the consequences of our actions and upset that we’ve failed to live up to our own standards of good behavior. But genuine repentance goes deeper than that; it involves a sense of grief over having wronged God by sinning against Him.
Our desire should be to please our heavenly Father, not grieve Him. So genuine repentance leads us to forsake the sin and practise obedience. When we humble ourselves and truly repent, the Holy Spirit pours His power and strength into our life. He enables us to turn from that sin in order to walk in obedience to our Lord.

You know whats crazy? How much the Bible predicts things (not really predictions but yk) One example being in Esther with Haman. He grew angry when Mordecai, a Jew, didnt bow to him. Instead of just killing him, he decided to kill every Jew in Persia. Later, the same place Mordecai was supposed to be executed on, Haman was executed on. That sounds familiar, no?
Another one, Luke 19 43-44. Predicting when Rome destroyed Jerusalem in 70 AD
“The days will come upon you when your enemies will build an embankment against you and encircle you and hem you in on every side. 44 They will dash you to the ground, you and the children within your walls. They will not leave one stone on another, because you did not recognize the time of God's coming to you.”
Jesus is returning soon

He died to pay for your sin. We are all guilty and destined for eternal hell, but God provided payment. All you have to do is believe on Jesus, turn from the old way of thinking (repent) and you will be born-again. Eternal life.

✥ @lured-into-wonderland asked: ✥
✥ "Mr. Abe…" - Nunnally suddenly stops drinking her coffee as the snow starts to fall; a beautiful view through the window - "Look! it's the first snow this winter! Just before Christmas…Let's go!" - she stands up taking his hand with the gentle urge to take him outside - "Let's see if we can catch the falling snow on our hands…or tongues…" - she giggles as she walks out. Without a coat. Without a scarf. Without anything. ✥

Haruto tightened his grip on the hand Nunnally had taken him by, but just as she reached the threshold he pulled her back, spinning her as in a dance and pulling her closer to him, "Not like that you're not. Darling, come now. You need to dress properly for the weather. You might not be an ordinary human, but I'm willing to bet the ice and snow is just as unpleasant without a coat, am I right? We'll go out once you're bundled up."

“Repent of your sins and turn to God, for the Kingdom of Heaven is near.” —Matthew 3:2 (NLT)
Lent Devotional By Gideon Heugh (Tearfund) - Day 1: “Ash Wednesday – ‘Believing in change’”:
“Is change possible? Can our circumstances change? Can we ourselves change? Can the world change?
Jesus repeats the above call to action from John the Baptist at the start of his ministry (Matthew 4:17). The word ‘repent’ is, in the original Greek, metanoeó. It literally means to change one's mind, purpose, or inner self.
Jesus believed in change. He called us to it. ‘Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.’ Or, to paraphrase: ‘Things don’t have to be this way; Spirit is here – God is on the move.’
Despair says, ‘things will always be this way’; faith is open to the possible.
This is why Tearfund believes practical support must go hand in hand with the spiritual. If a community believes it is stuck, then stuck it will be. But if a community begins to believe in change, then change will not be far behind.
Jesus, Saviour, Healer, Transformer – thank you that your kingdom is at hand. Keep us from despair; open our hearts to the possible. Help us to play our part in the transformation of this world. Amen.”
