To the One who can keep us from falling, and bring us safely into his glorious presence, joyful and above reproach, to the only God our Saviour, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, power, and authority, before all ages, now and for ever. Amen.

Christians,
Because we’re created in the image of God, we have minds to think with, hearts to feel with, and wills to decide with, and God calls us to make right decisions.
We’re not robots; we can hear God’s Word, learn God’s will, and decide either to obey or not.
We have the revealed truth of God in His Word, and that Word is available to us. We don’t have to go up to heaven to get the Word, or even across the sea to another country, because God has brought His Word to us.
Righteousness isn’t obtained by doing amazing things but by exercising simple faith in Jesus Christ.
The choice is between life and death, and who would deliberately choose death?

REFLECTION:
Lord, help me to remember that nothing is going to happen today that you and I cannot overcome.
Dear siblings, I know that you have struggled and are struggling with anxiety, depression and are struggling not to lose your peace. You feel like you've tried everything and can't seem to get over it. You hope to find a prayer for your anxiety that will fix everything and make it go away. You may feel lost, scared, and alone. You feel a bit guilty that you are not supposed to "be anxious about anything."
In the scriptures, you will find verses on the topic of worry to help you deal with it. I know because I did. I was looking for a magic formula that would help me conquer it once and for all. In my search, I found something unexpected. You have to be attentive to see it, in these verses there are implicit instructions from our Father not to do anything.
In Matthew 11:28, Jesus says: "Come to me, all you who are weary and heavy laden, I will give you rest." He's doing the work here, not us. We just have to draw close to Him. Again in Matthew 6: 25-34, this passage tells us not to worry about anything. God tells us "Look at the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow it will be thrown into the fire. Here we are told to "first seek his kingdom. And all these things will be given to us." Amen,
God:
Today I come to you today to ask for your help. You are my Everything. Lord, I need to rest. I give you my concern. I accept your peace, love and understanding. Help me to turn to you and not to myself. Help me stop doing and start trusting. Help me to wait for Your answers, because I know they are good. Give me wisdom, hope and peace. Thank my Lord.
CALLED:
No matter how big your bank account is, without God, your life will have no meaning or purpose. Today is the day of your salvation tell him: Lord, I accept You as my Savior, guide my steps, calm the storms in My life, appease my insecurity, fear and loneliness and remove this depression with Your Word.
May the Peace of the LORD be with you day and night until the end of your days. Blessed are all the days of your life.

“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.” Ephesians 6:10‭-‬18 (NIV)
Friend, we are in a spiritual war against dark forces. Your prayers can change the world. Pray about everything and watch God turn your prayers into amazing victories!
PRAYER: Lord, thank You for loving us so much. You listen to our prayers and act on them. May we pray as Paul says, “in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests.” As we kneel before You, may our prayers bless others and ourselves. Lord, may we be Your faithful prayer warriors, fighting and winning spiritual battles. May our prayers crush the enemy's power. May our prayers change lives and change the world for the better. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Quote
Not everyone who calls me ‘Lord, Lord’ will enter the Kingdom of heaven, but only those who do what my Father in heaven wants them to do. When the Judgment Day comes, many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord! In your name we spoke God's message, by your name we drove out many demons and performed many miracles!’ Then I will say to them, ‘I never knew you. Get away from me, you wicked people!’
Matthew 7:21-23
It takes more than pious words and good intentions to be a devoted and obedient child of God.

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30 (NIV)
Fighting Fear And Anxiety With The Promises Of God by Debbie McDaniel
Day 4 of 5 - When You Feel Overwhelmed and Burdened:
“So maybe it’s been a long week. You’ve found yourself wrestling, struggling just to get through. Maybe you feel weary and burdened from all that’s come your way. Or you’ve worked so hard to take care of everyone around you, you’re now left feeling completely drained, stressed, overwhelmed...
So often in life, deep weariness and fear go hand in hand. Eventually, one will lead straight to the other. Fear will make us weary, and weariness will make us afraid. It’s hard to separate the two. And sometimes we just need the reminder, that God sees. He knows your situation—what you do, how you care, how you give, and extend so much grace to others. He understands your feelings of being drained and weary. He wants to lift you out of the “overwhelm” and fill you again with His great peace and seasons of refreshing. The world can’t offer that—even the people and things we love most. Nothing else can fill us with the true hope that only comes from knowing Christ.
He’s the burden lifter, my friends. I’ve seen it again and again through life. We seriously can’t pull off those big loads on our own; they’re hard to let go of sometimes. But His gentle, yet strong reminder to our hearts this morning whispers these words. “Let me carry it for you. I’ve got this burden, and nothing is too big for me to handle, so you can let go, and keep moving on strong. I’m paving your way, leading you forward out of stuck places, covering you in my care. I’m filling you with peace, with greater joy, no matter what the pressures of the week have been. You can know full well that I understand your struggle and I am here.”
This is where I’m living today. Maybe you find yourself somewhere in there too. Making the choice to look up, set your eyes on Jesus and off the struggles that surround. Peace.
PRAYER: Dear God, We desperately want to give all these anxious thoughts over to you, but many times we don’t even know how to fully let go. Please help us to release our cares to you. We’ve been carrying things you never asked us to carry; they’ve weighed us down and made us afraid. But you Lord, are the burden lifter, the One who knows our way. Thank you for your great compassion over your children. We are lost and overwhelmed without you. Thank you for your powerful promise of rest for those who choose to come to you. No matter the struggles we’re facing today, we believe in your faithfulness to see us through. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

04.15.2021 | Broken and Blessed.
I thought I will not survive this week due to overwhelming situations in life. I have been reminded again that I am broken and that I need Jesus to fix me.
Blessed to be broken each day to be dependent on Him alone. His strength endures forever. Again, I thank God for not letting me go.
All the Glory and Honor to God for being patient with me.

God is a God-With-Us
Again and again you see how Jesus opts for what is small, hidden, and poor, and accordingly declines to wield influence. His many miracles always serve to express his profound compassion with suffering humanity; never are they attempts to call attention to himself. As a rule, he even forbids those he has cured to talk to others about it. And as Jesus’ life continues to unfold, he becomes increasingly aware that he has been called to fulfill his vocation in suffering and death. In all of this, it becomes plain to us that God has willed to show his love for the world by descending more and more deeply into human frailty.

Christians,
Don’t be misled. There can be no real conversion without conviction, and conviction comes when we see the holiness of God in His law and the sinfulness of our own hearts.
To say that we’ve kept some of God’s law doesn’t excuse us, for to break one is to break them all (James 2:10).
If you were hanging over a cliff holding onto a chain that had ten links, how many links would have to break for you to fall?

Mercredi 15 avril
Saint Paterne

Be Surprised by Joy
Learn the discipline of being surprised not by suffering but by joy. As we grow old . . . there is suffering ahead of us, immense suffering, a suffering that will continue to tempt us to think that we have chosen the wrong road. . . . But don’t be surprised by pain. Be surprised by joy, be surprised by the little flower that shows its beauty in the midst of a barren desert, and be surprised by the immense healing power that keeps bursting forth like springs of fresh water from the depth of our pain.

I listened to this song many times this morning and I know it's for you. Friend, whatever you are battling right now, God is fighting with you. You will win, because you are not alone. This one is for you. The victory will be yours.
“The weapon may be formed, but it won't prosper. When the darkness falls, it won't prevail. Because the God I serve knows only how to triumph. My God will never fail. I'm gonna see a victory for the battle belongs to You, Lord. There's power in the mighty name of Jesus. Every war He wages He will win. I'm not backing down from any giant, because I know how this story ends. I'm gonna see a victory, for the battle belongs to You, Lord. Gonna worship my way through this battle. You take what the enemy meant for evil and You turn it for good. I'm gonna see a victory, for the battle belongs to You, Lord. You're turning it around. You take what the enemy meant for evil and You turn it for good.”

REFLECTION:
Lord, help me to remember that nothing is going to happen today that you and I cannot overcome.
Siblings when we're going through tough times, we tend to look back wistfully at the seasons where life seemed easier and less complicated. You daydream about those simpler times, looking at them through rose-colored glasses. Even your prayers reflect this longing to return to earlier and easier circumstances. But this is not the way for you!
There is only one direction to travel, and that is forward. Your life on earth is a journey, which begins at birth and ends at the gates of heaven. I am your Guide and your responsibility is to follow me wherever I lead you. Sometimes I take you to places you would rather not go, but this is My prerogative as your Savior. I am also your Shepherd.
I always guide you down the best possible path, no matter how painful or confusing it may be. When your path takes you through a dark valley and you are struggling, seek me out to help you.
Follow Me obediently, trusting Me in the midst of darkness and confusion. I am tenderly present with you at every step of your journey. As you remain close to Me, I show you the way forward. Little by little, I turn your darkness into Light.
Blessed are the days of your life.
