So... Here was my thought process:
Why have I never done a post cannon AU for DA2? Hmm... Where would everyone likely be? Will we know that Fenris ends up in Tevinter, and Varric *can* end up the viscount but regardless it's likely in Kirkwall, Hawke might be in the fade but for this let's say no. Anders... Well, if we assume him to be alive, then half of Thedas wants him dead, so in a way Tevinter would be the safest place, but I doubt Anders would approve of a lot of Tevinters nonsense...
Oh! Let's create a town in Tevinter that Anders would feel useful in and likely end up. Let's also design it in a way that makes Fenris at least occasionally visiting mage sense... And then I can have Hawke, Varric, and a few others hear rumours of "The Healer" in this random town and go find him, getting pulled into helping people and political nonsense in the process.
So... Now I have a town and 9 OCs planned out 😅 complete with DnD character sheets because apparently that's how my brain works...
So, welcome to Vindictus Atrum
Welcome to Vindictus Atrum, a unique sanctuary nestled on the outskirts of the Tevinter, where resilience and defiance against oppression define everyday life. Founded a century ago by an escaped slave, this town stands as a beacon of hope for those seeking freedom from exploitation. If you visit the town square you can examine more of our towns unique history by witnessing the statue of our founder.
Cultural Melting Pot:
Vindictus Atrum is a vibrant blend of cultures and traditions, with residents hailing from diverse backgrounds influenced by Tevinter, Seheron, the Free Marshes, and further afield. The town's streets resonate with a medley of languages and cultures reflecting the rich tapestry of its inhabitants' heritage.
Architectural Reflections:
The town's architecture is a testament to its history and struggle. Graceful elven motifs intertwine with sturdy Tevinter fortifications, symbolizing the fusion of beauty and strength that defines Liberty's Rest. Each building tells a story of resilience and adaptation in the face of adversity.
Key Locations:
- The Council Building: This is the heart of governance, where leaders convene to make decisions collectively for the town's welfare.
- The Tavern:.A bustling establishment run by a former sailor, the tavern serves as a social hub where stories are shared, friendships are forged, and laughter fills the air.
- The Library: A sanctuary of knowledge and enlightenment, the library houses a wealth of books, offering literacy and language lessons to all inhabitants.
The Refugee Camp:
Inside the towns walls, but separate from the main hub, is a fenced off area of temporary buildings and tents. This is where newcomers, mainly newly freed or escaped slaves, are situated when they first arrive. It is here that you can also find the Feather Clinic run by The Healer.
We ask that visitors do not enter the camp without prior permission and an escort.
Legal Status and Challenges:
Vindictus Atrum exists in a precarious legal state, viewed as little more than a rebel camp by Tevinter and largely ignored by neighboring lands. This uncertain status exposes the town to frequent threats from slavers and bounty hunters intent on disrupting its autonomy and reclaim lost "property". Despite these challenges, the residents of Vindictus Atrum govern themselves and uphold their principles of freedom and resilience.
Visitor Guidelines:
Visitors to Vindictus Atrum must pass through heavily guarded city gates and undergo scrutiny by town guards upon entry. Once inside, you are welcomed into a community where hospitality and solidarity prevail amidst the shadows of oppression. At first you may experience wary glances, and hushes conversation, but do not be alarmed once through the gates you are welcome within our community.
All unknown mages must surrender their staffs at the gates, and be escorted by a member of the guard, until the council approves their presence. We apologise for an inconvenience, but this rule is nessecary for the comfort and safety of our residents.

Finally Getting Help (prt 8)
Masterpost
The next day was less chaotic but not by much. They had to go through everything they’d taken from the Fenton’s lab, and reluctantly accepted Danny and Jazz’s help with the task because they were familiar with the tech. That was surprisingly needed since all of their gadgets were extremely obtuse and looked like household appliances. It was honestly surprising how good Danny was with all of this stuff, he knew what everything was, how to take it apart and how to put it back together to show the heroes how it worked.
“They don’t all work for humans. Some have to be fueled with ectoplasm so they need to be constantly refueled. Dad used to wear a backpack full of the stuff ghost busters style but that’s really not practical so this one isn’t very useful to you. I can use it though,” Danny said as he screwed the last part back on the.. Whatever it was.
“Okay, but why does it look like a blender?” Tim asked, baffled and impressed.
“Oh that’s because that’s what it was built out of,” Danny said with a crooked smile. “We repurposed a lot of household items into tech. Give me a couple toasters and a microwave and I’ll have three specter deflectors ready for you before dinner time.” He said as he pressed his hand against one of the gins and it started glowing intently green.
“Here don’t drop it,” He said tossing it to Batman, who did manage to catch it. “I fueled it with three shots, just in case Vlad shows up or another ghosts threatens you. And actually even with your charms I would feel a lot better if you all had specter deflectors since you’re all involved with me now,” He sighed and rubbed his face.
“Well… we can get you toasters and a microwave but we can also get you more advanced parts if those will work better,” Bruce told Danny, gingerly holding the odd gun away from himself. It wasn’t a traditional gun so it wasn’t upsetting but he still didn’t like it.
Danny looked very tempted but he shook his head. “No I’d better do it with what I know, I can get it done faster that way and they work. I’d love to play with some of those more advanced parts though. I’m sure I can come with some fun stuff.”
Uh oh, Bruce didn’t like that look on Tim’s face, the last thing he needed was more encouragement! But Danny was the child of mad scientists, he would get along perfectly with Tim, Bruce was going to have to keep a close eye on them to make sure they didn’t accidentally make a death ray.
“You can join me in my lab later,” Tim offered hopefully and Danny glanced up at him with a borderline feral grin.
“That sounds great, I’m sure you have much better lab safety than my parents. Love engineering, would hate to die a second time.” He said it like a joke, just the way Jason tended to. Jazz laughed, but only to encourage her brother’s coping method, no one else did.
“Alright, we’ll go to the nearest home appliance store and get you some toasters and microwaves,” Bruce said.
“Hell ya, I should have been adopted by a rich family years ago,” Danny cackled. Oh dear, he’d been so traumatized yesterday Bruce hadn’t realized he was Feral. Why did this keep happening.
He informed Alfred of Danny’s request and by the time they finished going over the more confusing inventions and left for lunch the appliances were waiting for Danny in the lab that he and Tim would apparently now be sharing. Danny immediately dove on the machinery starting to take them apart with practiced hands. He seemed calm and in his element but Tim stayed to supervise, both just in case something went wrong, and because it was His lab and they hadn’t talked about rules of cohabitation yet.
Bruce left them to it. Alfred had informed him that Jason had arrived and headed straight to the kitchen without saying hello to anyone else. It wasn’t a surprise, he was closest to Alfred, he’s want to help with making dinner, and get the basic scoop from his most trusted family member before having to face anyone else. Bruce knew better than to intrude on that, but God did he want to.
Regardless of what his children thought Bruce cared deeply for all of them, and he hated that sometimes they doubted it. He wished he was better at telling and showing them, but he’d managed to convince himself it was too late for him to change so he didn’t have to face the years of mistakes and trauma he had endured and inflicted. No matter what what image he tried to project, he was still only human.
He went to his office, but he couldn’t settle to anything, he did a little bit of this, and little bit of that, and just ended up pacing the carpeted floor. He left them alone as long as he could before he gave in and went down to the kitchen.
“Sorry to interrupt, I just needed a cup of coffee,” He said as casually as he could. The looks Alfred and Jason gave him said neither of them actually believed his excuse, which was fair. “It’s good to see you Jaylad, thanks for coming.”
“Well I’m not going to miss out on a new brother am I? You gonna have this one running around in spandex too B?” He asked, raising an eyebrow, it made Bruce wince but it Was progress because he was acknowledging their familial ties.
“I’m almost two years too late to stop him,” Bruce said regretfully. “It’s been… a lot has happened. I’m sure Alfred caught you up on most of it, but I’d like to talk to you before you meet either of the siblings.”
“Trying to make sure I won’t be a bad influence?” Jason asked and Bruce couldn’t tell if he was joking or accusing.
“No, nothing like that,” Bruce said, holding up his hands. “I just want to talk.”
Jason hummed skeptically, scrutinizing Bruce before turning back towards Alfred. “What do you think Alfie, can you spare me?”
“I always appreciate your help master Jason, but I can manage on my own,” Alfred assured, sounding amused.
“Alright, to your office then?” Jason asked, turning back towards Bruce.
“Or the sitting room, whichever would be more comfortable.”
“Office,” Jason said firmly, this was the distance that he was keeping between them. They worked together now, and Jason cared for his siblings, but he kept them all at arms length. For everyone’s safety really, if they set him off he didn’t want to hurt them, and he didn’t want to be set off either. It always felt like shit. Jason followed Bruce to the office and sprawled in the soft chair across the desk from Bruce’s. He remembered being a kid, sitting properly and nervously in this chair across from Bruce hoping desperately for his approval. How times change.
“I just wanted to talk to you about the new kids” Bruce started and Jason waved him away.
“I’m really not going to corrupt them or anything, I Probably won’t be around enough to make a difference anyway.” Jason said dismissively.
Bruce took a deep breath, controlling his expression and folding his hands on the table. “That’s not it Jaylad, Alfred must have told you that the boy died and came back?”
Jason tensed and green swirled in his vision, it was the same thing that Bruce had seen in Danny when Zatana asked about Phantom. “Ya he did.” Defensive and insecure.
“It seems like he, and his sister who was sort of a caretaker to him, know a lot more than we do about the effect that that has on a person. To help us take care of Danny she gave us a presentation about it, it… makes a lot of sense. You should probably talk to her and Danny about it really but I just wanted to apologize.
“I’ve been trying to fix this, fix… you for a long time and I know I’ve been going about it wrong and I’ve been hurting you.”
“You got a new treatment plan in mind, old man?” Jason asked, his arms crossed and Bruce wished that mistrust wasn’t earned.
“No,” Bruce sighed looking down. “Really Jason I don’t, I know I was wrong. This is something I just didn’t know I didn’t know about,” He hated his own ignorance, he hated to admit it! He was Batman! The way he kept up with other superheroes was always being prepared for everything and knowing more than everyone around him, but he hadn’t even known there was something there to know!
“This isn’t about that, and it’s not about you staying away from the new kids. Exactly the opposite actually, since they know more about this, and Danny might be one of the few people who really understands what it’s like to die and come back like that, I was hoping you’d spend more time here, around them. I think it might help you both.”
“Huh,” Jason sounded, blinking rapidly because that was the most sincere apology he’d gotten from Bruce and he didn’t quite know how to react to it. “Maybe… maybe.” He hadn’t met the new siblings yet after all, maybe they’d hate each other.
“Can I meet them now?” He asked looking back up at Bruce curiously.
“Of course, the girl's name is Jasmine Fenton, called Jazz, the boy goes by Danny. Jazz is turning 18 soon, Danny is 16.”
Right Tim had mentioned that, so Danny was about 3 years younger than him then. That shouldn’t matter too much, and maybe Tim will be right about the sister and can tease Jason about it. He’d been single for a while and wouldn’t mind changing that.
“Of course, I think you should meet Jazz first, she’s protective of Danny and she hasn’t been very involved in all of this. I think she’d feel better being allowed to… vet you first for lack of a better word. Are you okay with that?” Bruce asked Jason politely.
“Sure, I don’t really care what order I meet them in and… Look Bruce I know I’m mad at you, and I was really hard on Timmy when everything was still raw. But I’m never going to knowingly hurt a kid, or make life harder for them. If I can help them I will,” Jason said sincerely.
“Jason, the girl is less than a year younger than you. You’re a kid too,” Bruce said sadly. Jason froze for a moment, Yes he was 19, his mind wasn’t fully developed yet or whatever the hell, but he hadn’t felt like a kid since his death. Even before that, the responsibility for his mother, and then the work as a hero. Bruce wanted soldiers, Jason had never gotten a chance to be a kid really.
“Whatever,” Jason scoffed, shoving his hands into his pockets and standing up, closing himself off from that sincerity. “Do you know where she is?”
“She’s in the library,” Bruce said, his lips twitching up in a smile. “She loves books almost as much as you did, though she seems to be more drawn to non-fiction.”
Jason hummed and nodded, heading towards the door since he knew his own damn way to the library, Bruce didn’t have to lead! He did follow through, he was clearly protective of these kids so of course he would want to be there when Jason met them.
When he entered the library he saw a young woman sitting at one of the tables with some sort of text book. Her back was straight and her legs tucked under the chair with her ankles crossed. It looked like she was self consciously trying to look put together. She looked up at them, blue green eyes looking him over critically, he could practically see her picking him apart in her mind and he tried not to fidget.
“Hey, it’s nice to meet you, I’m Jason Todd,” He said, walking over and offering her his hand to shake. She was very pretty, but he was surprised by his own complete lack of attraction, she just didn’t register that way, she seemed more… maternal almost.
“Ah, the dead son,” She chuckled, getting up from the table and reaching out to shake his hand, her grip was strong and her hands were soft and cool. “It’s nice to meet you, they mentioned you. Nothing bad,” She added when she saw her face. “And I don’t mean to be rude, I know some people are sensitive about their deaths being mentioned. Danny jokes about it all the time so… I just wanted to let you know that I know, and I accept you.” Jazz said with a warm smile.
Her easy acceptance caught him off guard and before he could help it he was baring his teeth at her in a snarl, defensive and probing, did she mean it? She grinned sharper bearing sharp fangs at him in a matching sign of… friendly aggression, something inside him settled. He chuckled and took a step back. “Well thanks, nice to meet someone who doesn’t look like they bit a lemon every time I make a death joke.”
“It’s your death, as long as it’s healthy you can own that however comes naturally to you,” Jazz promised, sitting back down at the desk. “I’d love to talk more and get to know you, but we can do that later. You really should meet Danny.”
“You don’t want to come with us,” Bruce broke in, sounding worried. Jason had almost forgotten he was there, he hadn’t realized how… all encompassing the short interaction had been.
“I’ll probably follow,” Jazz said with a shrug, her gaze turning stern as she looked at Bruce. “Remember what I said about never breaking up a fight,” She told him firmly.
Well if that didn’t make Jason nervous he didn’t know what did. Why would he fight with Danny? Would Danny fight with him? Why? “You really think it’s a good idea for us to meet? Why would we fight?” Jason asked her sharply.
“Of course,” she agreed, her eyes softening as she looked back at him, though her expression remained a little mischievous. “It’ll be good for both of you.”

Bruce Wayne Says ‘Never Too Old For Uppies’
Darling billionaire and former Gotham heartthrob turn DILF Bruce Wayne was spotted at his latest Gala wearing the latest season’s top designer suit.
This is of its self wasn’t surprising but the scene that unfolded sure was!
Now it isn’t a surprise for anyone who has been keeping track of the posts and polls about the most attractive men in America that Mr. Winner of 3 years in a row is quite ripped under all those layers he usually wears and when asked why he exercises to such a degree that it could rival the big bat, Mr. Wayne seemed to fumble for a bit before responding with a dazzling smile that he does so that he could carry all of his children.
Another reporter made comment about how all of his children were well past the age of being picked up.
Mr. Wayne proceed to state quite seriously to the reporter,
“They’re never too old for uppies.”
Apparently Mr. Wayne’s two eldest sons had heard their father’s statement as they shared a look before taking a running leap towards their dad with Dick Grayson Wayne bellowing “uppies!” In response.
Mr. Wayne, despite his well known clumsiness, caught both of his sons with a spin before calmly stating to the reporters that he had guests to talk to and then walked away with one boy sitting on each hip.
And let us remind our readers that neither men Mr. Wayne caught weigh less than an estimated 170 lbs!
The rest of the gala had our reporters spotting Mr. Wayne carrying his various children in various ways.
Message was well received, Kids are never too old for uppies, just too heavy!
But nothing less can be expected from the dad of the year.
Though, he may have competition here in Gotham, as eye witnesses have stated that they had seen our own Big Bat taking after our resident rich man.
But who can say? Maybe the two have a closer relationship than we know.
It had been stated that both Bruce Wayne and Batman have a similar physique to each-other with Batman being just slightly larger in size.
Maybe they share a workout routine?
We can only speculate.
What we can be sure of, is that Bruce loves his kids and would be willing to do anything to make them smile.
As always I am Vicky Vale.
*there are two photos shown along with the article. One of Bruce Wayne carting a staggering number of his children. With Cassandra and Damian Wayne on his shoulders, Dick Grayson Wayne and Jason Todd under each arm and Tim Drake Wayne clinging onto his front like a koala. It is noted that Duke Thomas is to the side seemingly recording the entire scene.
The second photo is of Batman with an annoyed Red Hood slung over his shoulder, trying to get loose.”

The God that Marks Garps Student
Koby was marked. Garp knew the scrawny brat was marked the moment he laid eyes on him.
Koby had a strong sense of Justice and a Protector of the weak.
So, Tsuisu mark wouldn't be surprising. However, by his Background report and his own personal testimony. Koby arrived on Shells with Luffy. And punched Koby declaring him not a member of the now named Strawhat Pirates
Nika's markings wouldn't be out of place either.
The Cadet was kind too. There was a partnership blooming with the blond twigs. He has seen Astrus mark a Dog for its Loyalty.
Astrus' mark might be a stretch. As by some of the Reports he's snooped off of Senny's desk Ace has been making a mess in the New World.
So when he took them onto his ship. He was fully prepared for one of his three Godly Grandsons to show up.
He set about the offerings on the shrines. In his quarters. Knowing none of them could resist a snack after using their abilities to hop to a shrine.
Garp snapped awake when he heard shuffling in his room. He spotted the tails of a coat exiting his room.
It could only be Sabo that came to check on his student.
He bolted towards his Wayward grandson.
"You Get black here you brat." Garp said, running out onto the deck only to see Sabo leep off the ship like an escaping boy after hours.
The half-shaded face looked at him with the usual terror. As he disembarked from the ship.
"Sabo, at least have the decency of a man to say hello to your grandpa!" he shouted after the boy. Sabo would be fine In the water. He could walk on moonlight. But his grandson didn't say anything as he swam away.
" Sir should we go after the stowaway?" One of the twigs on night watch asked.
"No. We'll just lose him in the moonlight. Return to your watch." Garp growled "I'm going back to bed."
" Yes sir." The twig said.

Witch Wangxian designs together ♡ (as they should be)
(below cut of how exactly wwx was able to get his bf into a crop top ;) )
“Lan Zhan! It really makes perfect sense. Our magic comes from our cores right? The core in our stomach. That’s why I wear cropped shirts! The less fabric in the way, the easier I can access my magic. It truly makes a difference, I swear!” *three finger promise*
“Ridiculous.”
“Aiya, it’s true!”
“…Wei Ying. It makes no sense.”
“Oh… really?”
“Mn.”
“Then I’ve been wearing this for no reason this whole time? Aiya, well I guess I’ll stop wearing them if they aren’t making any difference–”
“Wei Ying! It might.. help a little.”
“Ah Lan Zhan, you really think so?”
“…Mn.”
.

“Prove it.”

CW: death , excessive blood , major injuries
Lambi is my lamb's name, a friend on discord came up with it! Also I think this song goes well with the comic's vibe. Please excuse any spelling or artistic errors, I was really tired drawing the first half and excited to finish the second.
The Lamb is taking longer than usual to come back from their solo crusade. Narinder, no longer the god of death, with little to no control over his former realm, is asked to find them.
He doesn't have to search long.
Tumblr media
He screams even as his throat stings- cries as even his eyes burn. He holds on as tight as he can- but nothing can stop them from slipping away.

The Lamb has been resurrected.

I firmly believe Andrew and Neil are the most cryptic texters- Messages riddled with abbreviations, references and symbols
Their conversations would look like some abstract code. but the reality is that they’re just lazy fuckers who can’t be bothered to spell out the whole word and/or correct any spelling mistakes.
Every time Aaron gets a text from Andrew he has to put aside a good few minutes to figure out what he’s saying (Aarons coworkers still aren’t convinced that he’s not a spy/gang member)

Bg3 Cyberpunk AU
6 people get hired by a mysterious but powerful group called the Absolutists to do a job. These 6 strangers are all down on their luck, desperate enough to take the job even if everything about it screams sketchy. The rewards they’re promised could be the key to turning their lives around.
The Team:
The Face: Wyll the rockerboy, protector and voice of the people. He can charm his way out of near anything. His one-man band is known for its uplifting energetic tunes and its messages that urge to stand up in the face of injustice. He does occasional merc gigs, some for people down on their luck, and some for a mysterious woman who stinks of the corps
The Runner: Gale has always been a talented netrunner from a young age. His ingenuity and grasp of coding are superb, beyond many peoples capabilities. He wound up in a relationship with the legendary Mystra, the woman who invented the current net system. Rumor has it there's been a falling out.
The Ninja/Techie: Astarion knows how to sneak around and take people out quietly. He also has the tech skills to take apart someones security system and modify his weapons for maximum efficiency. He used to work as a doll for many years but has recently quit, taking up this new gig.
The Driver/Killer: Lae'zel is a skilled no-nonsense fighter with the resources and teachings of her nomad clan to back her. Her clan is known to be ruthless but effective fighters. To say they are wary of outsiders is an understatement. But the clan needs money, and Lae'zel is willing to take a gig to pull some cash in.
The Medtech: Shadowheart might be ornery with questionable credentials but she’s a highly competent medic. She knows how to tend to wounds just as well as how to make them. She has a strange piece of tech whose function is unknown. She carries it with her everywhere but refuses to explain what it is.
The Muscle: Karlach is a solo skilled at a variety of melee fighting styles. She used to work as a hired corporate assassin but has since gone freelance. She has a prototype piece of cyberware tech installed thats extremely handy in a fight, but faulty and dangerous both for those around her, and herself.

Settling in
Part 4 of my Demon Twins AU, a simple shopping trip between Danyal and Bruce, One of the Demon Head’s heirs try being childish. Previous First
--------
When they entered the high-end department store Bruce has selected Danny froze, there were so many colours, so much movement, so many people and music. He breathed through the anxiety, deep and slow, starting slightly when a large, warm hand landed on his shoulder. “Are you alright?” Bruce asked with a worried expression.
“Yes I’m fine,” Danny said automatically, before pausing for a moment and repeating more sincerely; “I’ll be fine, I just haven’t been in a store like this before. There’s a lot going on, and a lot of people. It’s an adjustment to be somewhere so… brightly lit.” He said, his lip curling slightly
“Alright, maybe I should have brought you somewhere smaller to start, but I didn’t know what style you would like so I wanted to bring you somewhere with a lot of options. We can leave and go somewhere quieter if you want?” Bruce offered.
“I’m grateful for the offer but no, I really will be alright,” Danny assured. “I don’t even know what styles I like. I intended to ask Tim to help me look up some inspiration, but I didn’t get the chance, so I guess I’ll find out what I like as I go. And you’ll have to tell me if something is entirely unacceptable. With as many children as you have you must know something about youth style,” He told Bruce who grimaced a little at the suggestion.
“If I turn out looking ridiculous I’m going to hold you personally responsible,” Danny teased his father with a cheeky smile, and Bruce huffed something that might have been a laugh.
“Well alright, I’ll do my best to help,” Bruce assured, shooing Danny deeper into the store who, reassured that Bruce would tell him if something was unacceptable, took off into the store. He found a bunch of different things, styled and cuts that he wanted to try on, just to see how they felt and looked.
“There’s a limit to how many things you can take into the changing room,” Bruce said when he saw how many thing Danny had grabbed. “Maybe you should go try these on for now and pick out more after?”
“Oh sure!” Danny said looking towards the changing room and then hesitated. “I’ll come out to show you the clothes?” He asked, looking back at his father.
“Of course, I’ll come wait just outside and anything you’re not sure of you can come show me. If you’re sure you don’t like it, or if you’re sure that you do you don’t have to ask me. I know you’re worried, but I really doubt anything you pick out will be totally terrible. This is a pretty high-end store, all the stuff they sell here is fashionable. It doesn’t all match but if you don’t clash colours I’m sure it’ll be fine,” Bruce assured as he lead the way over to the changing room.
He sat down on a bench outside the changing rooms while an attendant showed Danny to a room and he tried on the clothes. He rejected the tighter pants he’d picked out himself, they were too restrictive, the looser jeans were good, and so were the pants. Some of the shirts were good, he found he liked lighter colours on himself and he found some textures that felt good against his skin. He went out to show his father the two outfits that he liked, and with Bruce’s approval he went and picked out more clothes that he now knew would suit his taste. It ended up looking… well not unlike Tim’s style, though with lighter colours, which he sort of knew that it would honestly. He liked the way Tim dressed, he just hoped that Tim wouldn’t mind.
With enough clothes picked out for a decent wardrobe they went to check out, a few people were noticeably staring at them and Danny gave them an impassive but polite smile. He hoped that even though people had clearly recognized it wouldn’t cause problems. They had no such luck though, and were just finishing checking out when someone started taking photos. Bruce quickly hurried them out of the store, staying between Danny and the stranger as much as he could so the only photos would be blurry or obscured. It didn’t matter, they both knew that article would be in the paper by tomorrow morning.
They didn’t talk about it, instead Bruce just told him next they’d be going to was another, more private store where they would be getting him a couple of nice suits for events. Of course, that made sense, Bruce were suits all the time. For all casual clothes seemed to be the norm for Bruce’s children they all had to clean up for various press conferences and galas, Danny has seen the pictures.
The store they went to was really nice! It was quiet, the music they played was peaceful, it smelled like sandalwood, and the clothes were horribly uncomfortable. Danny found he Hated suits, they were scratchy, and warm and constrictive, but he knew they were necessary. He bore with it and said nothing, mostly letting father make the choices because he wouldn’t like any of them anyway. He put up with being touched, and measures, and cooed over by the staff with as much grace as he could, but he was glad when it was done.
“Alright, they’ll make necessary changes so they fit correctly and send them to us, probably just in time for them to have to be let out again when you have a growth spurt,” Bruce chuckled to Danny as they left. Danny smiled politely and tried to pretend his skin wasn’t still crawling from the feeling of the wool against it. Not well apparently because Bruce’s expression immediately softened. “You alright Chum?” He asked, and when Danny didn’t answer he added; “Why don’t we go get some lunch? We can just go through the Batburger drive thru and park somewhere quiet to just eat in the car?”
“That sounds good,” Danny agreed, he didn’t know what Batburger was of course but quiet, food and a little break from the errands sounded nice.
It turned out what Batburger was, was really fucking good! The food was really greasy and flavourful, and Damian would hate it no doubt, but Danny thought it was great! He ate carefully, trying not to get any grease or sauce on his new shirt, and mostly succeeded. “Thank you,” He murmured when Bruce passed him a napkin and pointed to bit of sauce that had fallen on his shirt. Danny scowled a little as he wiped it up sauce carefully.
Bruce cleared his throat awkwardly and Danny looked up, his brow furrowing a little. Bruce wasn’t looking at him, fidgeting with his fries, Danny bit back the urge to tell him not to play with his food. “I know you don’t fully trust me or feel comfortable here, and I want you to know that that’s okay,” He said without looking at Danny. Well that was random, did he think that Danny’s discomfort with the wool suit had been something deeper? Danny blinked owlishly at his father.
“The way you’ve been raised… Even seeing through some of it like you did, or maybe because you did, you’re remarkably self reliant, but you don’t have to be.” Bruce forged ahead despite Danny’s blank stare. “I’ll do what I can to earn your trust, and I want you to know that you can always come to me with anything you need.”
Danny looked down and took another bite of his burger, turning Bruce’s words over in his head. They were reassuring honestly, it was good that Bruce didn’t immediately demand loyalty and trust, that he was willing to earn it as all was a good sign. “I appreciate that,” Danny said hesitantly, he wasn’t sure what else to say. He put down his burger and cleaned his hands as he considered it. “You’re right, there wasn’t really anyone I trusted at the league. Obviously not Grandfather, mother… was maybe the closest. I know she loved us deeply, but not as much as she loved the league, she was very clear that there were certain things I thought and knew that I couldn’t tell her as to not divide her loyalty. And Dami means more to me then anyone, but he idolizes grandfather so there was really no one I could talk about my doubts with.
“It took a lot of careful work to get out of there, and I’m good at it, but it would nice not to have to be. More then anything I want Damian to see the truth about all this so I don’t have to hold him at arms length anymore. That was always their plan though, to separate us. There were things about the league he couldn’t tell me so I couldn’t tell you when I left, and I knew things about you and the outside world at large I wasn’t supposed to tell him. By the time they decided to send us both here the damage was done really, and we were used to keeping secrets from each other too.”
He sighed and wrapped what was left up his burger up and put it back in the bag, he wasn’t hungry anymore. When he glanced over Bruce was giving him a pitying look that put Danny’s teeth on edge. He couldn’t help the bit of green that crept into his vision as he bared his teeth. “Don’t look at me like that, we did what we had to to survive.”
“I know,” Bruce said calmly, resting a reassuring hand on Danny’s shoulder. “And you did well, I just wish I had known about you and Damian sooner so that you wouldn’t have had to. If I had known that you two existed nothing could have kept me from getting you from that place.”
Danny took a deep shuddering breath, trying to imagine what their lives would have been like if Bruce had come for them, what sort of people they could have been. But trying just made him sad, he sighed and shook his head. “Thanks,” He murmured, and things were silent for a long minute while Bruce ate a few more fries and then packed away his food as well.
“So, it’s up to you what we do next. I intended to get some decorations for your room, maybe glow in the dark stars for your ceiling, and then I was going to take you to the planetarium, I already have it reserved for us. But if you’re too tired that’s alright, I should have expected this might be overwhelming,” he said with a sigh. ”I guess I was a little overexcited,” he admitted ruefully.
Bruce didn’t have to worry, Danny perked up immediately at the mention of going to the planetarium, suddenly finding he was no where near as tired as he thought he was! “No I want to go!” He said quickly, sitting up properly in his seat and folding his hands in his lap. “Please! I can handle a little more shopping if we’re going to the planetarium after,” He assured with a seriousness that had Bruce stifling a smile.
“Alright wonderful, let’s get going then,” Bruce agreed, finally starting the car again and pulling out of the secluded parking lot they’d settled in. He was just glad no one had tried to break into the car while they were sitting there! After all this was Gotham.
Danny rallied himself well for the last bout of shopping, getting some personal touches for his room including a bedspread he liked, glow in the dark stars, and a few other nick-knacks to personalize the space. It was clear Danny was impatient though, rushing them through the store so that they could get to the main event, the reward for getting all these errands done. Good thing too because it seemed after they’d been spotted earlier the press was on high alert and they barely managed to hustle back to the car before cameras started flashing.
Danny couldn’t sit still in his seat on the final leg of the drive to the observatory and when they got out of the car he ended up grabbing Bruce’s hand to haul him along when he went to slow. Bruce had to laugh as his son’s eagerness, speeding up but not too much so Danny wouldn’t end up running, and maybe to see more of the rather adorable exasperation on his youngest son’s face. They were a little early for their reserved hours but the staff didn’t seem to mind and let them start their tour.
Bruce watched as Danny absolutely lit up as the tour guide told them about the stars, and Nasa, and the known species of aliens. It was so good to see Danny so happy of course, but it also gave Bruce some important information, all of his previous smiles had been some level of fake. Some more then others he was sure, but now having seen Danny truly happy he would know better when the boy was faking, even though he faked very well. Bruce had already had an idea that Danny was, especially when it was a little more strained like when Dick had been fussing over the twins, but it was good to have it confirmed nonetheless.
Bruce had been to the planetarium before, but more for fancy mixers, not with one of his children and it was fun! He paid more attention to the tour and learned a few small facts even though he knew most of info, and it was a little annoying to have to play dumb as Brucie Wayne. After the tour the last stop was the gift shop, where he waited by the counter while Danny rushed around to look at everything.
Honestly they could have skipped the interior design store and just come here to decorate Danny’s room. He picked out far more here. Including a soft blanket with star patterns, a light that would project the Milky Way on his ceiling, a few books, and, after hesitation, a plush version of a made up alien. The sort with grey skin and large heads.
“Is this alright?” He asked when he brought his picks up to the counter. “I can put some of it back,” He added looking up at Bruce with an unsure expression, he seemed to be trying not to pout and not fully succeeding, he clearly didn’t want to put any of it back. Good thing money didn’t really matter in this.
“No that’s alright,” Bruce promised as he pulled out his wallet. “It’ll help make your room feel more like yours, I want you to be comfortable here,” He assured. Danny grinned up and him and piled the items on the counter. The woman behind the counter smiled at him as she scanned the items, Danny smiled back, genuine but shy, an unusual smile for him.
Bruce was tired by the time they left, and Danny was energized beyond belief, practically dancing around Bruce, carrying the bags as he chattered at Bruce about the stuff he’d just learned. Bruce listened with a little smile, humming and nodding along as Danny switched to talking about how excited he was to read the books. He stowed most of his stuff in the back seat, keeping the plush as he climbed into the passenger seat, repeatedly running his fingers over the soft fabric of the alien, finally falling silent.
“You did well today Danny, I’m glad you had fun at the planetarium,” Bruce said without looking away from the road.
“I did,” Danny murmured in agreement, when Bruce glanced over Danny was frowning slightly down at the plushy. “They took pictures of us, there’ll be an article by tomorrow about your new charge. We’ll have to do an interview within the week. I can do it, but I’m worried about Damian being out in the public eye so soon, I’d offer to do it for both of us, but I don’t think he’d accept being left out.” Danny said.
Ah, back to being far too serious for his age and worrying about his brother. “I can speak for both of you for now, make an announcement about how I have two new sons but you need time to adjust so you won’t be in the public eye,” Bruce suggested and Danny nodded thoughtfully.
“Damian won’t accept it unless you specify we’re your biological sons,” He said with a wry smile and Bruce chuckled.
“Alright, with my play-boy reputation I don’t think it’ll surprise anyone,” Bruce agreed, and Danny nodded again.
“That will do, you should call a meeting with the two of us tomorrow to discuss it, so he won’t feel left out,” Danny murmured.
“You look out for him a lot, don’t you?” Bruce asked thoughtfully.
“We look out for each other, I know your rule against killing, but it was necessary in the LoA and more then once he finished off a target that was supposed to be mine. I could rarely follow through. My skills are less obviously useful then his skills with a blade and willingness to draw blood. I expect if you asked him, he would say he looks out for me more.”
“And you let him believe that?” Bruce asked, without judgment, whether or not it was true he wanted to know what Danyal thought.
“He’s very stubborn, I would prefer not to fight with him. We look after each other according to our skills, that’s always been enough for me,” Danny mused, running his fingers over the plush again.
“You’re a good kid Danny,” Bruce said, reaching over to ruffle Danny’s hair. “Why don’t you pick something to listen to on the radio?” That was enough serious talk for tonight. Danny nodded and started messing with the dials, finding some music and turning it up a bit.
----------
When they got home the other had already eaten but Alfred had set them aside meals. He shooed Bruce and Danny into the kitchen to eat, assuring Danny he would bring the bags from the car up to his bedroom to unpack later. Damian came to sit with them and quiz Danny about what the outing was like as he ate. Between bites Danny told Damian as much about the day as he could, as honestly as he could to prepare Damian for his own trip tomorrow. Bruce mostly stayed quiet through the meal, he seemed to be off in his world but both the twins knew he was listening to them intently.
“Do you want to come see the stuff that I got today?” Danny asked, tilting his head to the side a little.
“Why would I want that?” Damian asked with a sniff, a beat of silence following as Danny stared hard at a brother. “But alright,” he relented.
“Great! Come on,” Danny said, getting up from his chair, bringing his dishes over to the sink. “Thank you again Father,” Danny said politely before rushing off with Damian on his heels, chiding him for childish behaviour.
“Damian, we are children,” Danyal told his brother once they were in Danny’s room with the door closed, giving Damian a little smile. “Father will not mind if we act our age, at appropriate times of course. I know that because I tried it today, I was excited when he took me to the planetarium and I didn’t try to hide it. If anything, he found my childish behaviour charming,” He pulled the stuffed animal out of one of the bags and tossed it to Damian.
“Neither of us have ever had a stuffed animal have we? We witnessed other children beyond the League of Shadows having them, but we were ‘to old for them’ the moment we were old enough to want one. But Father didn’t blink at buying me one today, he doesn’t mind if we let loose a little. I promise,” Danyal said, giving Damian a reassuring smile.
Damian harrumphed, examined the stuffed alien and then tossed it back onto Danny’s bed. It was a better reaction then Danyal had feared, he’d half expected Damian to try and destroy the plushy. Danny started to unpack his clothes as Damian thought that over. The occasional snide comments about Danny’s choices were absentminded and didn’t take away from his thoughts, Danny ignored them.
“We don’t know how to be children,” Damian said, sulkily, he didn’t cross his arms and pout, but Danny could tell by the way his hands twitched that he sort of wanted to.
“No we don’t, I don’t think we even really know how to be ourselves. But I think we can try, do some slightly silly things, ask for some things that Grandfather and Mother would never let us have or do. What’s the worst thing that he could do to us Dami? Punish us? We’ve been hurt plenty, we’ve been trained not to fear pain. Throw us out? We can return to the league if he does. The worst thing he can do is be disappointed, and we can learn from that. We have much to learn, and we won’t if we don’t try.”
Damian hummed, unconvinced but without argument. Danny shrugged, he couldn’t make his brother do anything, just try to nudge him in the right direction… or what he really hoped was the right direction.
Letting the serious conversation drop Danny unpacked the rest of his trinkets and set them up around the room, leaving the stars to put up later and laying out his on the bed. “I think the constellations we can see from this part of the world are different from the ones at home,” He said as he flipped to one of the pages showing the night sky. “Maybe some day he’ll take us on a mission, somewhere with a clearer sky. I want to know all the constellations we might see before then.”
Damian gave a long-suffering sigh but sat down next to Danny so they could look at the book together.

Black Cat AU stuff part 3
1. Black Cat, Alley Cat, and Nightwing get into pun battles a lot. They don't even fight they just throw puns and jokes at eachother. Tim thinks that would be great if this didn't happen all the time. He and Damian were currently chained to the wall with thier mouths taped shut, sure the bomb was deactivated and they were saved but he really doesn't wanna listen to another 20 minutes of bad jokes.
This also works with Chat Noir if you wanna add him.
2. There's so many ways to add Chat to the story. You could have him run away from Paris after finding out why Hawkmoth wants the Miraculous. (let's see Hawky come to Gotham. See if he dares)
Or Black Cat might see his home situation and be like, "Um, no. >:/ I'm kidnapping you now, you deserve better."
3. A situation where the mission goes wrong and Robin is knocked out. He awakes later with his head laying against Black Cats chest with the latter holding him tight and keeping gaurd in whatever hidey-hole he had stashed them away in. He started focusing on his surroundings to help fight off his blush, and while the sounds of gunfire outside wasn't exactly comforting the distinct lack of shouts and fighting was apparent. His family wasn't being harmed. Kitty still didn't let him leave without a damage assessment. Robins arm was broken but that seemed to be the worst of the injuries. Kitty somehow managed to mother hen him the rest of the mission without being annoying or getting in his way.
His feelings for kitty only seemed to grow after this
4. Robin keeps thinking about how Kitty always smells like flowers and that means he must like them, so he heads over to this new flower shop only to recognize the voice at the register as kitty. (Its not because he's memorized his voice via crush! Shut up inner Dick!) Of course he tells no one of this revalation, but if he continues to visit this shop on the regular...well he can just tell Father that he picked up a new hobby
5. Tim has a similar situation a few months later. He saw a guy feeding pigeon at the park and greeted him with a friendly, "Hey."
Danny recognized Red Robins voice and- on reflex- greeted him back with a, "Hello, pretty bird." Then he realized Tim wasn't in costume, which was followed up by realizing he wasn't in costume. Then finally- "Oh Ancients, you're Tim Drake!"
They stared at eachother for a seconds before Danny took a risk, "This never happened."
"And why shouldn't I tell the others about this?"
Danny stared him in the eye, "Because you'll never live it down?"
"Fair enough."
So now two bats know kitty's civilian id and aren't telling anyone else in the family. It'd be hilarious if this became a trend.
6. Damian (15) has a crush on Danny.
Danny (17) has a crush on Tim
Tim (19) loves coffee
No love triangle. More like a love conga line where Tim doesn't know why Dami is so territorial over thier friend. There's now two people with the nickname "Clueless"
7. If Danny or Dani decide to keep the white glove(s) and/or boots in thier costumes you can bet Selena will call them affectionate cat based nicknames such as Mittens, Boots, Paws, Frosting, ect.
8. Bruce is close to having a stroke. Not only can he not find out anything about the potential baby bats Selena has he has a problem but Damian is lovestruck, Tim is lovedumb and he's expecting broken bones and broken hearts on the horizon.
And to top it off he still hasn't been able to get any DNA to test if they're his or not. It would be really uncomfortable if they were.
9. Skulker appears and the cats have no idea how he got here. They beat him up in fifteen seconds flat and shove him in one of the thermos that Danny always keeps on him.
10. Tim accidentally used one of Dannys thermos' for actual soup. Tim might be showing light signs of ecto-contamination later.
That or he purposely uses it as a soup cannon against bad guys.
