p = pda; what’s pda like with them? is there anyone who loves it, and anyone who’s less fond of it? what actions/words does it manifest as?

r = romantic; is anyone a bit of a sap for their partners?

s = sharing; is there anyone who’s particularly territorial of their partners?

t = terms of endearment; nicknames! who’s crazy on them, and who do they make cringe? what’re the go-to’s?

v = vacations; how do holidays go? are they big exotic trips, or the occasional staycation?

April 22 and beyond!

Accidental Family Acquisition: You've heard of accidental baby acquisition and maybe even accidental elder acquisition — this prompt's when you accidentally find yourself with a whole family. Maybe this is a fic from the POV of a kid adopted by your polycule, or maybe this is someone discovering that getting with one person means they've now got a whole extended network of people who care. In this trope, family finds you!

Metamours: These are the partner(s) of your partner(s). This prompt pairs nicely with the one above, but you can also explore things like: How do members of the polycule who aren't dating each other relate? Do they know each other? Do they get along? Do they have any hobbies or interests in common that their shared partner isn't into? Do they ever team up to do something nice for their partner? Or make it messy: What happens when it turns out that your two partners have already met — and they're each other's fiercest rival?

Case Fic / Monster of the Week: If your polyship comes from a canon that already has this format, write us an episode! If it doesn't, channel those classic Scooby Doo, Buffy, or RPG vibes, and drop your polyship in the middle of a mystery. Make it canonverse or an AU, just show us the crew working together to unravel a puzzle or defeat a fearsome beastie. Are your blorbos wildly unqualified for this? Even better!

Okay but imagine-

Person B and Person C are fighting over the love of person A-right? Person A likes them both, doesn't want to choose-seems typical right? This is the main conflict-right?

But then- B is noticing the cute way C scrunches their nose when they think and C thinks it's cute that B used to want to be a singer or something.

A, B, and C are hanging out and then B is like "oh shit" and C is like "oh shit" and A is all like "so now I don't have to choose?" and then they figure out how to relationship.

The sequel is them dealing with prejudice while they figure out how a poly relationship can work.

The optional theme for it is: 🌦️ Weather 🌨️

This could be weather literally, such as: characters enjoying the sun, dealing with rainy days and having to cancel plans, gleeful dancing in the rain, being snowed in, snowballs fights, or more dangerous forms of weather like blizzards, hurricanes, tornados! What kind of weather do they prefer, and what do they like to wear or do to prepare for different types of weather? For whump, characters getting sopping wet, hypothermic, having sunburn or sunstroke, and so on. Do they weather something, either physically like skin weathered by being outside, or mentally with getting through a difficult time? Something else, like a monument, location or item, they frequent or care about could be worn by exposure outside. Perhaps a ship they are on weathering a storm or taking advantage of the weather to get ahead. AUs with a weather related career like meteorologist, or they could have abilities to predict/control the weather. There's also many phrases with it in, such as fair-weather friend, under the weather, or to make heavy weather of something.

Love stories to write about: how queer identities can make storytelling more varied

Love stories are great if they're well told.

But despite it is the depth of characters, the healthy of relationships and the chemical between people involved that make a love story worth knowing, assuming that cishet man/woman, cis gay man/man and cis gay woman/woman are the only possible love story combinations can make romance boring.

By only opening up more to the queer world, you can find different love combinations that will lead you to interesting point of views. And if you fill it with all the things that actually make a love story good, you'll have great stories to tell.

Here are some examples on how you can queer relationships for the better:

cis man/woman, but they're both bisexual/pansexual

cis man/woman, but both ace

man/woman but one of them is trans (and the other can be straight or queer)

man/woman, both trans (they don't have to be both straight btw)

queer cis man/trans man

queer cis woman/trans woman

two trans women or two trans men

Non binary person ( gender assigned at birth doesn't matter but remember how varied gender non confirming people are) / queer cis man

Non binary person/queer cis woman

Non binary person / trans woman

Non binary person/trans man

Two non binary people

Three people all in love with each other ( be creative about their gender identity and sexuality, it can be any combination that would make them compatible)

One person in love with other two people that aren't in love with one another but are best friends (metalovers) and everybody is consenting ofc

Four people all in love with each other but that obviously share different level of platonic love or romantic love and could have or not a sexual relationship.

all the previous relationships but make them ace too

The combinations don't stop here: the queer world is varied and stories can benefit from them. Use your imagination, be aware of queer reality, always take in consideration consent and compatibility: you'll find out beautiful love stories to tell.

Was scrolling through texts i sent to my best friend and decided i’d write some of the things i said about dreams i’d had here.

(All of this is literally just the texts i sent with very little editing so sorry if it’s hard to read.)

anyways I just had a dream where and angel, a demon and a human woman are in a polyamorous relationship 

it was cute and funny

there wasn’t any drama between the three of them but they were trying really hard to integrate into each other’s lives without being found out

like angel guy would go to a party for work and bring them and the other angels would be like “aww (angels name) and his two humans” and demon guy/girl (he was only male in the dream but he gave me gender fluid shapeshifter vibes) would be like “yes i am a normal boring human who works a boring human job as an accountant”

one of the angels made a vague joke about a demon being there (can’t remember what it was but it wasn’t that great anyways) and demon guys like “haha yes that’d be me” they all look at him and he’s like “jk it’s actually my wife!” because of course angel guys coworkers think wife jokes are still funny

and like all three of them will just be chilling watching I Love Lucy or something and demon guys boss will show up out of nowhere like “Where have you been? We need you back in hell to- oh hello who are you?”

and angel guy and human girl are panicking because their whole lives they’ve been taught about how demons are pure evil 

but then demon guy is like”OH… they’re new recruits!” as if he normally invites random satanists back to his place to watch tv

and his boss (who may be satan) is just like “no they’re not lol”

and angel guy and human girl are freaking out cause they think their husband/boyfriend is gonna get smote (smited?) right in front of their eyes for lying

and then he’s just like “nah I’m dating them”

and then his boss like “cool but we still need you in hell” and disappears

or demon guy makes a comment on angel guys copious amount of eyes and she’s just thinking like wtf? or something but then she remembers she can only see their human forms and realizes their with her because of her soul not her physical appearance or something

(Anyways it was a very funny dream and sorry for the shit grammar this was from over a year ago.)
