Once again we gather to celebrate polyamory in all its forms: OT3s, OT4s, OT8s, V-relationships, QPRs, sedoretus, and any configuration you can think of. In the spirit of this month, we invite you to create works in any medium using the prompts above if you need a little inspiration. You can also create freely or even use one of our prompts from past years we’d still love to see fanworks for if they inspire you better. If you use a prompt, please make sure to let us know which prompt you’re creating for somewhere on your post.

At us @polyamships and use the tags #MultiamoryMarch and #MultiamoryMarch2024 in the first five tags so we can hopefully see it. If you don’t see us reblog your post within a few days feel free to send us an ask to let us know, or submit it via our googleform here, in case we’ve missed your post or the tags/notifications are being weird.

Holly Poly is, as the name implies, an exchange for polyamorous relationships. OT3s, OT4s, OT6s, orgies, open relationships, sedoretus, whatever strikes your fancy, as long as it involves three or more entities.

Participants are able to offer and request fanart, fanfiction, fanvids, podfic, fanmixes, gifsets and/or aesthetics/moodboards.

Dates: All times are 11:00am UTC, save for golive which will depend on when final pinch hits are posted. Apologies if the change of time causes any confusion; this change was necessary since the previous time used for deadlines did not work well for the mods' mix of timezones last year. We will make sure to update this post with links to countdown timers once they are applicable, so that people can check on those to see how long is left before the next deadline. 17-24 October: Nominations are open 31 October-11 November: Signups are open 17 November: Assignments will be sent out no later than this date. (And hopefully will go out much sooner.) 6 January: Default deadline (extended to 9pm UTC) - you can see a countdown timer at this link.  13 January: Fanworks are due - you can see a countdown timer at this link. 20 January: 27 January - The archive goes live (as soon as everyone has a gift). 27 January: 3 February - Creators revealed.

So... If I had a nickel for every time I had a poly ship OTP with a married couple+1 who were best college buds, but their friendship fell apart in part because one of them was in a horrific incident that horribly disfigured their face- an incident which the effected party partially blames on a friend in the polycule that was present- who then decided to become a supervillain… Well... Two nickels and all that!

I am of course talking about Maddie/Jack/Vlad from Danny Phantom and Gilda/Bruce/Harvey from Batman lol. It's kinda funny how there is a parallel here! No idea what to do with it, but it is there!

It makes me want to mix the two things together somehow... Not entirely sure how... But some way can surely be made!!!

What I do know is that I can ABSOLUTELY imagine Vlad DESPRATELY wanting to be Harvey's friend! An idea which Harvey would not be too keen on. And which Two-Face outright hates and might just try to bite Vlad for lol

I adore how fandom has no trouble at all to make Portugal with multiple partners and lovers, and he can intimate and even stay with them at the same time, or in the same universe. It's a flexibility I don't see in other ships so frequently.

The optional theme for it is: 🌦️ Weather 🌨️

This could be weather literally, such as: characters enjoying the sun, dealing with rainy days and having to cancel plans, gleeful dancing in the rain, being snowed in, snowballs fights, or more dangerous forms of weather like blizzards, hurricanes, tornados! What kind of weather do they prefer, and what do they like to wear or do to prepare for different types of weather? For whump, characters getting sopping wet, hypothermic, having sunburn or sunstroke, and so on. Do they weather something, either physically like skin weathered by being outside, or mentally with getting through a difficult time? Something else, like a monument, location or item, they frequent or care about could be worn by exposure outside. Perhaps a ship they are on weathering a storm or taking advantage of the weather to get ahead. AUs with a weather related career like meteorologist, or they could have abilities to predict/control the weather. There's also many phrases with it in, such as fair-weather friend, under the weather, or to make heavy weather of something.

Hello and welcome to the poll where I cannot lose! As the winner of the next-poll poll, we mark the return of powerpolycule showdown with my own self indulgent poll, where every contest is a polyship I like so whoever wins I also win 💖

While the premise likely sounds a bit selfish, I hope you find something among the contestants that speaks to you, and maybe you'll have yourself a new polyship or even just a new piece of beloved media even if you disagree with me (which is fine!!). Do keep in mind the ships vary from canon, to personal headcanons that will never happen to "the creators were onto something here I swear but they were cowards".

Now, the rules!

Vote for whoever you like best, if you don't know them, please check out their descriptions! I worked very hard to write those.

Don't be an asshole in the notes section. If I see a fandom being particularly toxic I will disqualify that ship. You don't need to like everything, just don't be rude.

Propaganda is welcome and encouraged!

As a personal rule to myself, I left out 3 of our beloved polycules from last year because the next poll will be rare polyships, and I believe they fit that category. They will be returning there!

There will be revival rounds because I was unable to narrow the list down to 16, and I didn't want to exclude any other ships. So if a polyship you like loses their first poll, not all hope is lost!!

Not a rule, but a reminder: The inclusion of a polyship does not mean I support or condone statements from any of the cast members from the source media.

I'm gonna fully admit that, as of right now, if my ideal scenario of Loona being in a polycule with Vortex and Bee doesn't happen, I kind of feel like I'd rather her just end the series officially single, but just more secure with herself and happier as a person? Obviously leave the door open for her to get into a relationship in the future, but not in one at the end of the series.

Mostly because I can't help but feel like unless they plan to go for quite a while, and introduce a new love interest now and spend a lot more time than I feel like they'd want to establishing them as an actual character....any potential love interest they could give Loona that isn't Bee or Vortex is going to feel like a "satellite love interest" or feel like a "consolation prize" for both Loona because she couldn't get with the person (or people) we know she really wants to be with, and the audience, who from what I've seen, really are into the idea of her being with Bee and Vortex more than anything or anyone else.

I mean, look what happened with Pinkle - he seems to have been practically made to be set up to be a potential love interest for Loona...and then pretty much everyone after the episode that introduced him decided they shipped Loona in either a polycule with Bee and Vortex, or in a relationship with Esme the poodle hellhound...or possibly a third option combining the two. I don't think I've seen anyone actually romantically ship Loona with this guy.
