Peter Pevensie as a Boyfriend ⚔️🛡️

⋘ 𝑙𝑜𝑎𝑑𝑖𝑛𝑔𝑑𝑎𝑡𝑎…⋙
Warnings ⚠️: Slight mentioned of sexual themes and some spicy stuff.
Dating this incredibly attractive, loyal protector and brave older Pevensie sibling could include:
👑👱🏻‍♂️🏰
He's really protective of you and often expresses how much he loves and cares for you, so much so that if anyone even tries to come close to hurting you by words or physically he won't hesitate to eliminate them.
He's quite a gentleman and believes that he has to take care of all the ladies in his life including his Mother, Susan, Lucy, and especially you. He would offer his arm when the two of you are waking together, he would bow to you when he greets you and he never lets you carry anything, Peter has that timeless chivalry personality about him.
Sword fighting lessons with him only for it to turn into an extremally spicy make-out session after, because of the build-up of sexual tension over time and the fact that he always wins with him pinning you down on the floor without even trying.
You are the only one that can calm him down after he blows up after fighting with his sibling or is stressing out about ruling Narnia.
He would see you falling asleep nearby the entrance of the castle waiting for him to return from a patrol ride around Narnia which he finds to be the most precious thing, then he'll pick you up in his arm and carry you to sleep in his bedroom and not your own one.
He calls you cute nicknames like Darling, Pretty, Lovely, or Princess.
Likes when you call him Pete, Darling, Sugar, or Your Highness (He likes when you call him that because it sounds so seductive coming from your mouth).
His love language is probably Acts of Services, sure he loves a good PDA once in a while and all the things you both did together as a date, but he's a natural server and protector. He shows his love by protecting you, making sure you're fed well and healthy, or the little things like helping you take off your gown, brushing your hair for you, or helping bathe you.
Ask for your input before making a big decision because he trusts you and relies on you for support especially if he has to debate it with his siblings first.
Horseback riding around the beach in Cair Paravel to watch the sunset, but the both of you would ride and share one horse with you sitting and wrapping your arm around his torso, while he leads the horse.
Whenever he sees you doing something and looks about busy he comes up behind you, and turns you to face him by spinning you around by the waist before caressing your cheek softly and then pulling you into a sweet yet passionate kiss.
He requests you specifically when he's hurt/injured after a battle or some tough fight training days to take care of him, like cleaning his wounds, being there to kiss him, holding his hand to lessen the pain, or performing some oral sex on him if he's in the mood (😏) instead of choosing his other loyal servants.
The two of you are always smiling around each other before it erupts into a fit of laughter out of nowhere ending up with you and Pete on the floor dying.
Lucy and Edmund would catch the both of you kissing or showing PDA somewhere then they'd look at each other and get grossed out saying "Eww" or "Get a room you two, there's a billion inside this castle", then you and Pete would somehow share the same mindset and start teasing them by kissing even more, or exaggerating the PDA until both Lucy and Edmund can't take anymore and run off, giving you and Pete a good laugh after.
When it comes to sex he's very gentle with you making sure to put you first before himself, despite how much you drive him crazy with lust because of how attractive you are to him, so it's mostly slow, passionate sex but he does love giving you a good hickey mark all over your neck and chest area or when you give him a bit of ear play to get him turned on.
He's actually quite funny intentionally most of the time and can be quite sassy as well which you find hilarious especially when he's annoyed, hungry, or frustrated.
Let's you wear and steal his white long-sleeve tunic for bed instead of proper pajamas because it looks adorable on you and fits slightly larger.
He falls for your cute puppy eyes every time, even if he says no multiple times or refuses your request at this moment it always works and he always says "Oh come on don't do this to me Darling" but then you'd plead and he would sigh before smiling and boom he says yes.
He never goes to sleep without solving a fight and he wouldn't let you sleep either until the both of you have a makeup kiss.
He doesn't seem to be the jealous type on the inside because he hides it so well from you, but when he sees someone staring at you for more than 5 seconds he rolls his eyes and kisses you out of nowhere.

⭑ It was as if Aslan had planned it all along
⭑ Someone to humble the High King; an outsider, an outcast. Someone that would ultimately merge parts of Narnia, and come together without fuss.
⭑ You bickered and snapped at each other from the day you met until your wedding (and it still happens from time to time)
⭑ Edmund loved you - and initially thought you would be the perfect match for him. But you were too alike, and the eldest brother had to marry first.
⭑ But after some time, he realised that Aslan was right. And you were better off as friends (not that he let anyone know his feelings).
⭑ Your wedding was HUGE, much bigger than you could have ever imagined. All of Narnia stopped for a whole day and night to celebrate the union
⭑ You both wore white, but his was a warmer cream and yours, a cooler ivory
⭑ Edmund was his best man and either Lucy or your own sister was your maid of honour.
⭑ Aslan officiated (obviously. And Lucy wanted him to wear a special hat)
⭑ And Susan was the official ‘witness’ (signing of the documents part)
⭑ Peter always sleeps on the right side of the bed
⭑ He’s a morning person. And gets grumpier as the day goes on. But perks up whenever he sees you
⭑ His petnames for you are, ‘Darling, Sweetheart, My Love, My Heart.’
⭑ Your petnames for him are, ‘Honey,’ ‘My Liege’ (said usually with a dramatic curtsy and head bow). But most times you just call him, ‘Peter,’ ‘Blondie’ or ‘Sword Boy.’
⭑ Training with you:
“No, see you’re not holding your sword high enough-” Peter moved to correct your form.
“What? Yes I am?” You rebutted, your eyebrows knitting together.
“Will you just let me help?” He retorted, giving you a stern look.
⭑ The others love it. They always watch on when you’re at it
“Peter should really learn to keep his mouth closed,” Lucy sighed as she and Susan looked on from the window.
⭑ You do feel insecure at times, but Peter is always there, either physically or emotionally hoisting you back on your feet.
“We’re together for a reason. We belong together.”
⭑ Peter can be very romantic
⭑ He never forgets a special occasion/event/milestone.
⭑ You’re usually the one that does
⭑ And he’s more sensitive than you are
⭑ Peter was very very jealous when Caspian came along
“I don’t know what Susan sees in him anyway...”
“Well he is handsome-”
Peter turned to you with raised eyebrows, “Oh is he now?”
⭑ Lucy loves spending time with you. You’re like another sister, and she loves it!
⭑ Susan absolutely adores you, especially now that she can outnumber Peter
⭑ Peter knows your favourite colour, flower, stone, piece of jewelry, day of the week, memory etc.
⭑ He suprises you with how well he’s remembered everything. You on the other hand ... don’t have the greatest memory. But you do try!
⭑ You’re always worried for the other’s safety
⭑ And you actually get into a lot more fights than he does
⭑ Relationship Tropes:
✧ Rivals to Acquaintances to Friends to Lovers/Married
  ✧ Mature/Responsible x Snarky/Fierce
  ✧ Sun x Moon

piano keys
music brings two people even closer together
pairing/s: peter pevensie x fem!reader
warnings: mentions of heavy rain, and my shitty attempt at someone playing the piano and them teaching as well (i don't play piano lmao 😭)
genre: arranged marriage, friends to lovers, fluff
word count: 1.3k
a/n: this one's longer than normal (especially for my writing). i also thought i'd switch things up a bit and write for our dear peter. might write a second part as well, not sure yet.
Tumblr media
The wedding had been beautiful.
That was one thing for sure. Susan had outdone herself once again with the festivities.
If only it wasn’t just for the sake of alliance, Y/N would have had appreciated it more. She had been stuck in her own mind for that half of the day — thinking of anything - everything - she could have done differently.
She did find herself lucky to be married to Peter.
King Peter the Magnificent.
Ever so respectful Peter.
Peter with his heart so big.
Golden boy Peter.
She had been reluctant. But after one meet up with the King and his first few words to her being “You don’t have to say yes. As much I would love to have this alliance, I respect your boundaries more.”
She had to give him a chance.
That was 4 months ago, the wedding being 3.
So far, their relationship had been nothing but respect and patience. Despite the rings on their fingers and the ink on paper, the two only really saw each other as acquaintances — or so they thought.
Tumblr media
It had been pouring down all day in Narnia. Peter didn’t have a choice but to seize all work for the day, after all, Narnia wouldn’t function if its people were out making themselves sick.
The atmosphere had been nothing but relaxed, enhanced by the large drops on rain outside.
The 4 siblings had cooped themselves in the sitting room. Peter sat on a big arm chair reading a book, the story had gone boring 2 chapters ago.
Suddenly, soft notes of a piano started echoing around the room.
Peter looked up from his book, skeptical eyes scanning his sibling’s faces. “Do you guys hear that?” he asked. Lucy hummed, too concentrated on forming a puzzle she swore she’ll finish by the end of the day. Edmund just grunted, eyes not leaving the book he was reading. “Of course we do. We’re not deaf, Peter,” Susan had answered, although it was not the tone Peter was hoping for. He rolled his eyes, sitting on the edge of the chair. Book forgotten and his palms on his things. “Are you guys — not confused over the fact that there’s a piano playing?” he said, question laced with interrogation.
He’s so confused. Why are they treating this like some everyday thing?
Lucy rolled his eyes, finally looking up from his book. Her loud sigh caught Peter’s attention. He kept quiet, eyes looking at her to elaborate. “It’s Y/N of course.”
“I’m surprised you didn’t know that.” Edmund remarked.
Tumblr media
The blank looks his siblings gave him after Peter confessed that — yes, he did in fact not know that his supposed wife played the piano — had annoyed him, he had to excuse himself out of the room.
His mind went rollercoaster, scenario after scenario in his head on why Y/N wouldn’t tell him that she played the piano.
He was too lost in his own world that he didn’t realise he had walked in the music room. The soft call of his name bringing him back.
“Peter? Are you alright?”
Y/N stood in front him, eyes wide in worry. His heart started doing palpitations and he swears his knees are going weak. When they first met, Peter couldn’t help but think that she’s really pretty. He means really really pretty. In fact, he almost called off the whole deal. He couldn't let someone's beauty go to waste just for an arranged marriage. He had appreciated hers (until now), he just didn't know if the appreciation was mutual.
It was only after the two started to get to know each other that Peter thought it wouldn't be too bad.
Her warm hand had made its way on to his arm, squeezing it lightly. "Pete?".
Y/N watched as Peter finally snapped out of his thoughts, blinking rapidly. She laughed quietly, bringing her hand back to her side. Once she deemed Peter conscious enough, she asked again. "Are you alright?". The man nodded, mouth opening and closing like a fish out of water. "I— uh— heard!"
She looked at him skeptically.
"The piano, I mean. You were playing," he finally managed to get out, gesturing his arms towards the large equipment. He had mentally slapped himself a million times already. Peter thought he had the skills in him, but apparently not. For he was a stuttering mess in front of his queen.
She didn't seem to mind. Y/N only laughed, walking towards the piano once again.
Peter suddenly remembered what he came to see her for and followed, standing behind her. He watched as she delicately placed her fingers on the keys. She began playing an unknown tune, but Peter was still enthralled. The way her back was straight and her arms relaxed, her eyes darting from one side of the instrument to the other.
He stayed quiet, listening to Y/N play until the sound slowed down and she reached the end. He couldn't help but bring his palms together, his applauds replacing the sound of the piano. "You don't have to do that," she whispered, using her hands to lower Peter's to stop him.
"But why?," he whined, Y/N swore his eyes were going to burst out of their sockets. "I didn't even know you played piano. Y/N that was wonderful."
Y/N looked into his eyes, nothing but adoration swirling around. She could feel herself melt away but tried not to. She bashfully looks away, clearing her throat, finding words to reply to Peter's compliments. "You— uh, were away when... I started playing again.
Dad had taught me how to since I was 5. It was one thing we did together.
I hadn't done it since..."
Peter pursed his lips. He knew what she was talking about. There was always the ugly side of marriages between two kingdoms. The wife stays with the family of the husband.
"Do you know how to play?"
Peter shook his head. He felt his breath cut short at the smile Y/N sent to him. She scoots to the side, leaving room on the bench. She pats it gently, and Peter sat down.
“Let me teach you something easy.”
He sat still as Y/N took his fingers on to her hands and delicately places them on the keys. His mind once again pausing. “Stop being so tense”, she giggles, looking at him. “I’m not,” he denies.
“You so are! Just relax. It’s only me.”
It’s only me.
Yes, and you’re like really beautiful.
He thought.
He finally managed to relax himself.
Y/N taught him a few notes on the keys, occasionally guiding his fingers with her own.
She had managed to teach him an intro of a song he still doesn’t know. It was getting difficult for both of them to focus when Peter would just laugh at his mistakes, making Y/N laugh or when the other just silently giggles, affecting the other.
“What song is this by the way?” He asked as he played the intro himself. “It’s the kingdom’s theme song. Anthem, if you will. It’s usually one we teach children,” she explained.
Peter stopped, a comedic scoff escaping his lips. He looks at Y/N in bewilderment. “You’re telling me I’m playing something meant for children?”
She laughs. “More like for beginners.”
“You’re unbelievable,” he chuckled.
The two spent the rest of the afternoon playing the instrument and by supper, Peter had almost learned the whole thing.
“I assume that was Peter playing the horrendous noise,” Edmund had teased when they entered the dining room.
Peter could only smack his brother at the back of his head.
“Well, he’s learning. That’s for sure,” Y/N reassured, taking her seat.
The look the two gave each other didn’t go unignored by Lucy, Susan, and Edmund. The three chose to ignore it for now, letting the two discover it on their own.

TW: Reader getting stabbed with a sword, injury, mentions of death (nobody died)
Tumblr media
The man infront of you almost killed you, his sword entered your stomach. The last thing you heard before passing out was Edmund screaming "Y/N!". When you woke up, the pain was there, and some bandages covering the wound. You reached for them, but accidentally pressed too hard "Ouch" you muttered.
"They're awake" A voice you recognized as Peter's said
Then, the sound of shoes against the floor were present for some moments, soon you saw the faces of your siblings. Lucy and Edmund were beside the bed, they started asking questions, like how you felt. Peter and Susan were a little behind. "Give them space" Susan walked a few steps, getting closer to the bed but not as much as the other two were.
"Are you feeling better?" Susan asked, in a soft voice
"It hurts, a lot" You answered
"The pain will go away in some days, we'll have to change your bandages daily" Peter walked to stand where his siblings
"We thought you would die" Lucy had tears in her eyes
"But I didn't, I'm still here" You grabbed her hand "I will never leave you"

Peter’s Pov:
“Well, are you ready to get up, y/n/n?” I ask her, but she doesn’t reply.
Confused, I pull her off of my shoulder to see her eyes are closed with no sign of movement at all. I quickly lay her in my lap before trying to figure out what’s wrong. Just as I pull my hand off her waist, I notice blood on my hand and I feel sick.
“Lucy!” I yell out to my little sister and she turns around with confusion clearly written on her face.
“What is it, Peter?” she shouts back with her hands on her hips.
“Quick! Y/n’s hurt too!” I shout and her face falls before rushing over to us.
“What happened?” she questions as she bends down to y/n.
“I don’t know. One minute she was just leaning against me and the next she wasn’t replying,” I panickedly explain, staring at the blood on my hand as Lucy pours a few drops into y/n’s mouth.
“There. That should help,” Lucy promises with a nod before she stands back up and Aslan strides over to stand next to her.
“As it should. It is not yet her time,” Aslan says, nodding his head in agreement with Lucy’s statement.
“Let me know when she wakes up. I want a hug from her too,” Lucy informs with a grin before rushes back over to the others.
Aslan looks at me with sympathy in his eyes before giving a light nod and bow of his head. He smiles softly at me, giving me a calming feeling before strolling over to the rest.
I hold y/n close as I wait maybe two or three more minutes before she gasps and her eyes slowly blink open. Letting out a sigh of relief, I pull her up into a seated position before pulling her onto my lap so I can hold her as close to me as I physically can.
“Oh, thank Aslan. I was scared there for a minute,” I tell her as I hold her head softly to my shoulder before giving the side of her forehead a kiss.
“I’m sorry I scared you. I didn’t mean to,” she whispers quietly against my shoulder.
“Next time you're hurt, please just tell me,” I practically beg her, my voice cracking ever so slightly and she nods.
“Deal. I’m sorry, I was just so focused on Edmund,” she explains to me and I grin as I pull back to look at her.
“I believe I owe my Queen a kiss,” I coyly state with a smirk as I wiggle my eyebrows and she giggles, shaking her head.
“I believe you do…” she agrees with me, nodding her head and I grin.
youtube
It feels like time slows down as we both lean towards one another. I tilt my head ever so slightly and before I know it, our lips are connecting in a sweet, passionate kiss. Her kiss feels like coming home, all soft and pillowy like sweet silk against mine.
I can feel her playing with my hair as our noses brush ever so slightly and a warm feeling spreads through me. It’s at that moment that I decide that she will be the only person I ever kiss again and that hers is my favorite by far. The kiss continues for what seems like forever, but I smile against her lips as it feels like it’s only me and her in this field.
All too soon, though, I find myself slightly frowning as she pulls away for air and I find myself chasing her lips, wanting them back on my own. She lets out a light giggle, the air of her breath fanning my face before she leaves one last kiss on my lips. I quickly pull her a little closer, not wanting this to end, and rub my nose against hers, making her giggle. She puts her forehead to mine and smiles down at me as I smile up at her.
“I’ve wanted to do that for… a really long time…” I breathily explain and she smiles even bigger (if that’s even possible) as she continues to play with the hair on the nip of my neck.
“You’re not the only one…” she tells me with a small smirk and I chuckle.
“Ok. No more dilly-dallying, you two. Come on, we’ve got lots more work to do,” Susan speaks up from behind me, making me turn to look at her and she’s smiling with her hands on her hips.
“Well? Are you ready to get up?” I ask y/n with a raised eyebrow and she nods.
“Good. Here, I’ll help you,” I comment as I start to stand up, pulling her with me lightly.
~Time Skip~
We all helped the casualties for about an hour, and by the time we’re done, everyone seems dead on their feet. Once all our casualties are up and moving around with the exception of quite a few that we couldn’t help, we all decide to eat. After a satisfying meal, the sun is almost setting and Aslan stands up on the same hill we talked on before the war.
When I finish eating, I look at my siblings and y/n, who are all laughing at something Edmund had said. I smile softly before getting up from my spot and walking over to Aslan.
“So what do we do now?” I ask him and he chuckles as he watches over the camp.
“Now you and your family will be crowned kings and queens. Come morning, we’ll all head east and when we get to Cair Paravel, you will have your coronation,” Aslan explains and I shake my head in disbelief.
“I still can’t believe this has all happened. It happened so quickly that it feels as if it’s all been a dream,” I tell him and he smiles, amused.
“I’m sure the others feel the same way,” he tells me as he turns to look at them laughing.
“Oh, they very likely do. I just feel so…” I pause, trying to think of the word.
“Mighty…” Aslan fills in for me as if reading my thoughts. I nod before sitting down on the grassy hill to look out over the camp one last time.
“As you should. Peter, you did what some could never imagine doing,” Aslan starts as he puts a paw on my shoulder.
“You led an army to victory. That’s one of the most noble, mightiest things that can be done, my boy. Enjoy the peace and happiness that comes after it,” Aslan tells me as he sits beside me and I nod in agreement as I turn to look at my family once again.
“Thank you for this opportunity,” I tell him as I turn back to look out over the camp and he nods at me.
“You needed it to learn from. Now, go be with your family. Enjoy the love and joy that is present,” he almost demands and I chuckle, smiling as I get up off the ground to stand.
“I will. Again, thank you Aslan, thank you so much,” I say and he shakes his head before using his paw to wave me off, making me chuckle.
I walk back down the hill and over to my family. Lucy comes running up to me and I catch her, picking her up before spinning around. Together we laugh before I set her back down and she grins up at me before turning back around to look at y/n as she too walks up to us.
“Y/n, can you believe it? We did it! We saved Mr. Tumnus, just like you said we would along with the whole land of Narnia,” Lucy excitedly exclaims as y/n stops next to us with a big smile on her face.
“That we did, Lu,” y/n agrees with a big smile as she hugs my little sister.
“I’m just so happy,” Lucy tells us as she pulls back from their hug.
“I’m glad you're happy, Luc. It’s getting dark though, maybe you should head to bed. Aslan told me we have a long journey in the morning,” I speak up and she playfully pouts.
“I don’t think I’ll be able to sleep,” Lucy groans playfully, rolling her eyes and y/n giggles.
“You don’t wanna be knackered tomorrow, do you?” Y/n asks and Lucy puts her hands on her hips.
“Well, no, but sleep feels so far away right now,” Lucy argues and y/n smiles softly.
“Well why don’t you just try, ladybug? You might surprise yourself. Maybe you're actually more knackered than you feel,” y/n explains and Lucy takes a moment as if she’s thinking about it.
“Oh… all right. I assume you’ll be staying with Pete again?” Lucy asks with a raised eyebrow and y/n lets out a loud laugh.
“Yes. Little firefly, you’d be right,” y/n tells her as she reaches out and pulls her into a hug.
“Oh, all right. Goodnight then, sleep very well,” Lucy tells her as she pulls away and y/n giggles before reaching forward to mess up Lucy’s hair.
“You too, ladybug. Don’t let the bedbugs bite you, you hear me?” Y/n jokes softly and Lucy giggles too.
“I promise,” Lucy nods in affirmation, joking right back.
“That’s what I like to hear. Rest easy, sweet girl,” y/n tells Lucy as she smiles at her.
Lucy smiles at y/n one last time before looking up at me. She comes over to me with a playful smile and I let out an “oooff,” as she slams into my stomach, almost knocking me over.
I wrap my arms around her and lift her up. She giggles as she hugs onto me a little tighter.
“Goodnight, Petey. I love you,” she whispers into my ear and I hug her a little closer to me.
“Goodnight Luc, I love you too. So much,” I tell my little sister softly and smile as I set her back on the ground.
“Oh, Susan! You ready for bed?!” Lucy shouts as she turns and runs back over to Susan and Edmund.
“I suppose I am. Come on, then,” Susan agrees as she gets up from where she’d been sitting.
“Goodnight, you two. Sleep well,” she shouts over to us and y/n grins.
“Goodnight, Susan! You too,” y/n tells her before she’s turning, tucking into my side as Susan and Lucy walk off to their tent.
“You comin’, Ed?” I ask as I look at my younger brother and he nods before getting up.
We wait for him for a moment before he’s jogging over to us. Once he comes up next to us, we start walking to our tent. Edmund runs ahead of us and disappears into the tent and y/n giggles.
“I’m glad it all worked out, Pete. We’re all happier than we have been in a long while,” y/n speaks softly as she cuddles into my side as we walk.
“I am, too. It feels good to all be on the same page with no fights. It’s been a while since we’ve all been happy to just be together,” I agree with her and she stops us from walking.
“I love you, you know that?” she says as she looks up at me and runs her arms up my chest till they’re around my neck.
“I do now. I love you, too,” I tell her with a grin as I grab her hips and she smiles softly again.
I smile back at her before leaning towards her and she reaches up on her toes to lean up to me. I let out a breathy laugh as she gives me a confused look as I put my forehead to hers.
“Pete! You wanker! You just totally ruined the mood,” she playfully scolds and I laugh again.
“I’m sorry, love! But you don’t have to reach up to me!” I tell her as I try to hold back my laughter.
“Pete, I kinda do. I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but I’m a little shorter than you,” she rolls her eyes and I chuckle again.
“Well it’s a good thing that I can bend to you. You don’t have to reach up,” I tell her and she slowly grins, shaking her head.
“And you ruined the moment for that?! You ninny!!” she giggles as she playfully slaps my chest and I chuckle.
“I’m sorry, love! I couldn’t help it!” I defend myself and she only laughs a little harder.
“Ok. Ok. Can you kiss me now and not ruin the moment?” she asks as she suddenly sobers up from laughing and grows serious.
“Oh, of course. I’m so sorry, my Queen,” I playfully tell her with a smirk and she shakes her head at me again.
Slowly, I lean towards her and soon our lips are touching for the second time today. This one is much different from the first. The first one was a little rushed, but this one is slower, almost like we’re both trying to savor it, and I suppose maybe I am.
Her lips are still soft and pillowy against mine, making me deepen the kiss ever so slightly. I can feel her smiling as she brings her hands up to my head, but instead of brushing through my hair with her fingers, she grips onto it. The warm feeling from earlier comes back as our noses brush together again.
“Oi, would you two stop snogging and come to bed already?!” Edmund asks us from the flap of the tent, making us reluctantly pull away from one another, but I keep my forehead to hers.
“Yeah. Yeah. We’ll be there in a bit,” I reply with a roll of my eyes before looking back at y/n.
“Better be,” he jokingly pretends to be all authoritative with his arms crossed over his chest.
He shakes his head in a jokeful disappointment and gives a small ‘tsk, tsk,’ before walking back into the tent. It’s quiet for a moment and I take the opportunity to press my lips back to hers. She pulls away and giggles when my lips chase hers, much like they did earlier.
“Pete, as much as I am loving this little kiss session, Ed’s right. We should get to bed,” she breathlessly tells me and I can feel it fan over my face.
I sigh and press my forehead to hers again with a light frown. She smiles at me and my heart flips as I smile back.
“I could kiss you all day, ya know?” I tell her as I pull back and push a strand of hair behind her ear.
“And I could kiss you all day too. Although now you can kiss me whenever you want and I promise I’ll always kiss back. But again, Ed’s right, we need to go to sleep,” she tells me as I put my forehead to hers again. She smiles softly as she plays with my hair, making me sigh.
“Ok. Let’s go…” I hesitantly agree and she laughs.
“Come on. I’m not leaving your side. I’ll be by you all night,” she tells me as she pulls away and starts to pull me along with her as she walks to the tent.
She leads me over to the tent and she pulls up the flap before ducking under it. I follow her and once inside, she lets go of my hand for a moment. She walks over to the chest by the privacy screen, smiling softly at Edmund on her way and opens it.
She pulls out some clothes and goes behind the privacy screen to change. I smile softly and shake my head in disbelief as I start to take off the rest of my armor.
“It's nice to see you guys finally together,” Edmund speaks up and I turn around to look at him.
“You think so?” I ask him with an arched eyebrow and he nods.
“Don’t be such a muppet, Pete. I’ve always known you two were made for each other, even when you yourselves didn’t know. I think everyone with eyes bloody knew, actually,” he tells me with a playful roll of his eyes and I smile softly at him.
“Thanks. That means a lot, Ed,” I tell him and he nods before turning over.
“Now enough with the sap. I’m knackered. Sleep well, you two,” he tells us just as y/n walks out from behind the privacy screen with a soft smile.
“Goodnight, Ed. You sleep well, too,” she tells him as she pulls back the covers of the bed.
“Well, are you changing or just sleeping in that?” she asks me as she motions to the under clothes from under my armor.
“I’m too knackered to change. Think I’ll just sleep in this,” I tell her as I crawl into the bed behind her and she smiles, nodding as she cuddles into me.
“I told you he was a good boy,” she whispers tiredly and I smile softly at her.
“That you did love. That you did,” I tell her and she just gives a quiet giggle in response.
“I love you, Pete,” she mutters and I smile again before leaving a soft kiss on her forehead.
“I love you too, sweetheart,” I parrot her softly right in her ear as I pull her even closer and hold her to me.
“That tickles, you git,” she tells me though light giggles and I smile a tired smile.
“Well, get used to it,” I tell her with a tired, but very cheeky smile and she scoffs.
“Go to sleep you wanker,” she says and I chuckle lightly.
Slowly, sleep starts to over take me as warmth radiates between us and I fall into a peaceful sleep as I hold her to me. The dream I have is a good one this time, with no signs of the old bad dream I used to have about losing her, but all of a sudden the dream is coming to an end as I am woken up. I blink my eyes open before rubbing at them with my right hand and then letting my eyes adjust to being open again.
They sting for a moment, so I blink them before looking around in confusion. It’s only then do I realize it’s still dark out and confusion only takes over more. I look over at Ed, but he’s gone from his bed and worry takes over.
I’m pulled out of my thoughts when there’s a small whimper to my left and I immediately figure out what woke me as y/n’s face contorts. I turn in alarm as I hear the tent flap move, but relax when I see it’s only Edmund.
“Edmund, you git, where were you?” I ask him in a hushed whisper and he smiles shyly at me.
“I heard y/n whimpering and knew it’d wake you. I knew you’d take care of her, but I want to help in some way… so I went and got her some water,” he tells me as he holds up a cup and I smile softly at him, my anger melting away.
“Thank you, Ed. I’m sure she’ll appreciate it,” I tell him and he smiles shyly at me as he shrugs.
“Peter! No!” Y/n screams out and I quickly turn back to her.
“Shhh. It’s ok, darling. I’m right here. It’s just a bad dream,” I whisper out as I put my hand on her cheek and rub it softly.
She starts to cry and I wipe the tears as her eyes slowly open. She looks up at me and I smile down at her as she blinks at me.
“Peter…? What…? But you were just…” she asks in confusion and I shake my head.
“I’m ok. I’m right here. It was just a bad, bad dream,” I tell her softly and she hiccups before nodding in realization.
“It’s always so real…” she whispers out before she starts to sob.
“Oh, honey. Shh. It’s ok. I’ve got you,” I coo as I pull her head to my shoulder and hold it there.
“I just want this dream to go away, Pete. I never want it to come to pass. It’s just so scary,” she mutters into my neck and I nod.
“I know, love. I know how you feel. We can’t know what’ll happen. Until then, let’s just live life together, yeah?” I ask her as I pull her back so I can look at her.
“Ok… yeah. I think I can do that,” she nods and I smile softly at her.
“Do you want some water? Edmund has some for you,” I tell her and she looks up at him over my shoulder.
“Oh gosh. Edmund, I’m so sorry if I woke you,” she immediately apologizes to him and he shakes his head as he puts his hand up in surrender.
“Don’t be as daft as a bush, y/n. It’s ok. Really. I uhh… understand you now,” Edmund tells her and she smiles sympathetically at him as he takes a step forward to hand her the cup.
She takes it from him with a soft, thankful smile and he smiles nonchalantly back with a light shrug. I watch her as she takes a drink of it before pulling the cup away from her lips to look at me.
“He’s really turned around,” she whispers to me as he lays down with his back turned to us.
“I suppose he has, hasn’t he? Makes me proud,” I tell her and she smiles nodding.
“I know he fights you a lot, can be a bit of a ninny sometimes, but he really does just need your love and support,” she tells me before going back to drink a little more and I purse my lips.
“Yeah. I see it now. I’m sorry I haven’t. You’ve been trying to tell me and I wasn’t listening when I should have. I’ve been a real tosser, haven’t I?” I apologize with a small frown and she leans over to put the cup on the small table to her left.
“Oh, the biggest…” she jokes with a playful roll of her eyes before becoming serious again.
“No, you really haven’t. It’s ok, Pete. It’s what pride does. I’m just glad you're listening now. He needs his big brother. Where you had your father, he doesn’t,” she tells me softly as she reaches up to my cheek and strokes it softly.
“I know. I just want him to be better than me. I know he can be, so I push hard especially when I don’t need to,” I try to explain as I burrow my cheek a little into her hand, making her smile a knowing smile.
“And he will be. He’s just like you, a little too headstrong for his own good, but it’s a really good quality, Pete. He’ll figure it out, just give him the guidance he needs,” she encourages me and I close my eyes as I let out a light chuckle.
“Aslan was right. You are my voice of reason and you always have been,” I observe as I put my forehead to hers again.
“And I always will be, Pete, as you are mine,” she says softly and I can’t help but smile, shaking my head.
“Ok. Think you're ready to sleep again now?” I ask her before leaving a light peck on her lips and she nods slowly as sleep starts to take over again.
“G’night, Pete. I love you,” she mumbles and I smile as I lay us back down with her cuddling into my side more so than before.
“Goodnight, my queen. I love you too,” I whisper out as I leave a kiss on her forehead for the second time tonight.
Once her breath evens out, I turn ever so slightly to look at Edmund, who’s back rises and falls ever so slightly. I smile before turning back around and cuddling in a little closer again. Soon, sleep overtakes me as my eyes close little by little.
Tumblr media
When I wake up again, it’s now morning and I smile down at y/n, who’s still asleep. She shivers ever so slightly and I chuckle quietly before reaching over her to pull the cover farther up her arm. I also pull her closer and make sure the blanket is still tucked under her chin.
When I’m sure she’s warm enough, I turn my neck to look over at Edmund, who also still sleeps. I smile softly once more before cuddling y/n close as I close my eyes. I drift in and out of sleep for a while before a voice speaks up.
“Rise and shine, my princess and princes. It is time to prepare to head east towards home,” a faun tells us as she steps into the tent.
“Very well. Thank you for waking us,” I tell her and she bows slightly before leaving once more.
We all slowly make work of getting up from bed and getting dressed. Once we're ready, we walk out of our tent just as Susan and Lucy walk out of theirs. When Lucy looks up and sees us, she perks up before running over to y/n.
“Good morning, y/n. How did you sleep?” Lucy asks as she hugs y/n and looks up at her.
“I could have slept a little better than I did, but in the end I slept well. How’d you sleep, bug?” Y/n asks her as she strokes her hair lightly before pulling back from the hug.
“I slept very well,” Lucy tells her with a grin as well as a firm nod.
“Good. I’m glad you slept well,” y/n replies with a smile.
“Good morning, y/n, good morning Pete, good morning Ed,” Susan greets us as she now walks up to us.
“Good morning,” we all chime in.
“Wow, no ‘is it?’ from you, Edmund?” Susan jokes about how he used to reply with a sarcastic ‘is it?’ Or ‘is it really?’ Instead of an actual good morning, he gives her a snicker.
“Haha, yeah, yeah. Let’s make fun of Ed, why don’t we?” he sarcastically asks with a roll of his eyes.
“Pardon me, Your Highnesses, but breakfast is ready. We have your Little Rock set up for you just as we did before,” the same faun that had woken us tells us and we all nod.
“You may leave and eat your breakfast. I’m sure we know the way ourselves,” I tell the faun and she nods gratefully before bowing.
“I shall go then, but if you shall need help of any kind just let one of us know,” she tells us as she stands from her bow and we all nod before she turns to start walking away.
“Wait,” y/n calls out as she reaches for the faun’s arm and gently pulls her so she’s facing her.
“Yes, your highness?” The faun asks y/n as she looks at her.
“Where is Oarmia? I haven’t seen her and I’m worried about her,” y/n questions and the faun frowns.
“Your highness, she’s holed up in her tent. She’s refused to leave,” the faun sadly informs and y/n frowns.
“Why?” Y/n asks again and the faun sighs.
“She’s been in there for a while. When we told her about her father, she broke… he was all she had left,” the faun explains and y/n gasps.
“Take me to her,” y/n tells the faun, who now looks shocked.
“But your highness, your food?” she asks and y/n waves her hand in dismissal.
“My food can wait. My friend is hurting. I wish to comfort her,” y/n tells her and I’m in awe of her sweet self as the faun nods before y/n turns to me.
“I’ll be there in a minute, ok?” she tells me and I nod, giving her a small smile.
“You go. I’ll make sure Ed doesn’t eat all your food,” I joke and Ed shouts out a ‘hey!’ as y/n giggles.
“Ok. Thank you. I love you,” she tells me and I nod at her.
“I love you too,” I tell her softly before she walks off with the faun, who leads her to Oarmia’s tent.
For a moment, we all watch until y/n and the faun disappears around a corner. I turn to the others and start to push them lightly the way we have to go for breakfast.
“Come on, guys. Let’s go eat, y/n’ll catch up to us when she can,” I tell them as I beckon them over to our rock.
Once at the rock, we each sit down and start to eat. About halfway through eating, y/n shows up at our little table.
“How is she?” Lucy asks and y/n frowns.
“She’s not doing so well. It’s understandable, really, she lost the only family she had left, but I wish I could help her in some way,” y/n tells us as she sits down next to me and I put an arm around her.
“I’m sure you just being there and listening to her helps, love,” I inform her before leaving a kiss on her cheek.
“For once I actually agree with Peter. Just be there for her and let her know you understand her pain,” Edmund tells her before he takes a bite of his last bit of bread.
“I guess you guys are right. It’s just so sad to see how heartbroken she is. She does have a brother, but she doesn’t even know where he is right now. She wants to find him, but is scared to because she only knows so much of him. He left home when she was only eight to learn his fathers triad,” y/n explains and Edmund smiles a little bit.
“See, she’s already opened up to you. All you can do now is be there for her,” Edmund tells her and she nods, smiling softly at him.
“Yeah. It’s not that hard, y/n. Look at how we’ve been by your side,” Lucy adds on and y/n smiles even more.
“You’re so very right, Lu, you all were there when I thought I had nobody else. Thank you, all of you. Truly, I love you guys like my own family,” she tells us and we all grin at her.
“You are family, y/n. Always have been and always will be,” Susan chimes in and y/n smiles.
“You're all right. I’ll just be her shoulder as well as help her look for her brother shall she want to,” y/n tells us with a huge smile.
“Very well, that can wait for now though. Eat, we have a long journey in a few hours. You should have some food in your stomach,” I practically command y/n to eat and it pulls a giggle out of her.
“Ever the one to take care of me. Thank you, Pete,” she tells me before leaning over and leaving a kiss on my cheek.
“Of course I’ll take care of you. I’d take care of all of you in a heartbeat, love,” I reply and she nods, smiling.
“We all know you would,” she promises me softly before starting to eat.
Soon we all finish eating and stand up. Together alongside all the narnians, we help start packing up. Once everything is packed and ready for the journey ahead, we all start to head out of where camp once was.
To Be Continued…

The magnificent and the beast 1
Peter pevensie x Reader
Summary: After two years of being king Peter the magnificent of Narnia, Peter finds himself in a bad position when he is kidnapped by a group of thieves thinking he is just some rich man crossing the woods, all they want is money but some might end up with more than that.
Just one or two more ,that's what my father said, then we will stop everything. Because living as a thief isn't a real life, not if it has been your family thing since decades. While the white witch was on the throne and Aslan was missing a very big part of Narnia was starving to death, when the Pevensie got up on the throne everyone expected them to change it and they did but not for all of us. Some of us got left out and now we don't have food, home or even money because we can't have job anymore, my family was on of the richest of the north but now we are only thieves and mercenary when the time comes because we couldn't bare the fact to live without knowing if we would even be alive tommorow. We kind of still don't know but if we die now we know it's because we made something to get out of this and that we didn't just wait to die of a long and painfully death.
We just take our positions in the trees, waiting, this is one of the most used path by the rich man in promenade and we kidnapp them asking for money to their family, that's a pretty great business if you're interested in money. I am on the ground waiting for someone to come and play the role of the damsel in distress while my brothers and father are in the trees waiting to jump on the man. Most of them are just pig, and I well know that if my family wasn't there they would not even be ashamed to touch me without my consent, you can see it in their eyes, once they saw you they already imagine what they can do to you, because they are men and they are rich and even if they are old and ugly they still think they are the sexiest narnian of the century.
I can hear him coming, the sound of the feets of his horse on the ground and the birds stopping to sing when he passes, when I hear that he is close enough of where I am hiding I go out and let me fall on the ground of the path, I 'm pretty sure I have dirt all over my tunique but that's alright, he will believe it more that way. "Oh shit!" is all I can hear before he dismount, I 'm pretty sure that now is gonna try to touch me like every other man tried, but nothing comes all I can feel is someone passing his finger under my nose to see if I am breathing before he grab gently my arms and neck, placing my head on his legs, trying to wake me up. Most of the others would have already touched my breath, doesn't he finds me attractive or what, I'm not gonna lie that's a little hit in my ego.
He places a strand of hair behind my hear, cupping one side of my head, not letting me break my neck, lightly shaking my body with his other arm, "Miss can you hear me? Please, open your eyes, Miss can you hear me?", I open my eyes slowly faking as if I got out of a pretty deep sleep. "What is your name? Are you feeling alright?", "yeah I'm good, who are you mister?", "I'm Pet-" it's all he can pronounce before a bag is on his head and my father is already tying his hands while my brother do the same with his legs, the man still fighting as if he could get out of their grasp.

Peter Pevensie x F!Reader headcanons
warning: none, pure fluff
Tumblr media
You were on a picnic on the beach, feeling the summer wind hit your face
You laughed as the wind suddenly flew Peter’s hat. You got up and reached it, extending your hand to give it back to him
“Thanks, dear.” Peter pulled you down, kissed your cheek
Your eyes sparkled with mischief, wiping your cheek where he kissed you. “Your lips feel warm, it’s a hot day already.”
Peter raised his eyebrows, “Oh, you're quite the mischief-maker, aren't you?"
He looked at you, trying to figure things out. You were unable to hold your laughter as he grabbed your arm
But you were quick: you got up and ran away from him, bare feet touching the warm and soft sand
Peter ran after you, “Oh, you’re going to pay for that, Ma’am.”
Your laugh rang as he grabbed your waist, spun you to fully facing him. He ran his fingers through your disheveled hair, loosen braids hitting the wind.
“Now, why did you wipe my kiss?”
“Because it was warm.”
“That doesn't even make sense," Peter countered your argument. You laughed in his embrace
"You’re infuriating,” you giggled.
Peter rolled his eyes, before smiling and kissing you on the lips.

You Can Too ~ Peter Pevensie
This was originally the epilogue for Bruises, but I realized it could stand on it’s own, so I edited it to make sure you can read it without reading Bruises!

Drip.
Drip.
Drip.
The ice coating the columns slowly melted, the droplets of water hitting the stone floor. The puddle of water spread towards the bodies of the wolf and the hag laying haphazardly to the side. They were dead, the men knew that for a fact, but the strange flickering shadows from the torches gave the impression that they were moving.
The two brothers sat on the edge of the stone table.
Edmund stared unblinkingly at the carving of Aslan, but Peter’s eyes were fixed on the witch’s scepter in the center of the rapidly melting ice.
The Just king broke the silence first. “Caspian should be back soon with Doctor Cornelius. He’ll tell us what to do with the scepter.”
Peter didn’t reply, and Edmund swiveled to look at him, taking note of his dull expression and faraway eyes.”
“You hesitated,” Edmund said. “When the witch asked for your blood, you didn’t say no or run her through. You just…stood there.”
There was no answer.
Edmund shifted so he was facing his brother. “You were thinking of Y/N, weren’t you?” Peter buried his face in his hands, letting out ragged breaths. Edmund let out a heavy sigh, resting a hand on Peter’s shoulder. “I know you miss her.”
A bitter laugh sounded as Peter shrugged out of Edmund’s grasp, getting to his feet. “You don’t understand.” Edmund opened his mouth to say something. “You don’t get it,” Peter repeated flatly.
“What don’t I get?” Edmund asked softly. Peter returned his gaze to the scepter, and Edmund couldn’t help but notice the way his brother’s fingers twitched. “If you don’t talk about it,” Edmund began, making sure to keep his voice soft, “if you bottle it up...it’ll only grow worse.”
Peter pressed the pads of his fingers into his eyes, clearly fighting something, a feeling Edmund knew too well. But Edmund also knew what happened if pain was left to fester.
“It’s just me, Pete.”
King to king, warrior to warrior, brother to brother.
Peter put his back to Edmund, as if looking away from Edmund was the only way he could bring himself to speak. “She wanted to wait.”
Edmund didn’t understand, but he kept silent, recognizing that Peter could retract his vulnerability as quickly as he’d given it.
“When she came back to Cair Paravel, she told me she loved me, but we had to take it slow.” The high king’s words were starting to pour from him now. “I agreed, of course I did. She had her magic back, and we hadn’t even seen each other in a year, and I mean, waiting wasn’t going to change anything, so what could possibly go wrong when we had all the time in the–” Peter’s voice broke off, and his ragged intake of air made Edmund’s own chest hurt.
Peter’s head was hung so low, Edmund could barely see it shake from side to side. When he spoke next, his words were strained, as if they were wrung from him like water from a rag.
“I had a ring.”
Edmund shut his eyes. He hadn’t known that.
“I had it made before she even left Cair Paravel, and I couldn’t bear to get rid of it. Then she came back, and I was just waiting for her to tell me she was ready to be my-my wife.”
The stammer made Edmund open his eyes.
Peter was staring down at his hand, and Edmund would’ve bet money that he was imagining a ring on his ring finger.
“I was gonna make her my queen, Ed.” Peter looked up at his brother. “I was going to marry her and then take her to the Lone Islands for our honeymoon. And...and she wanted–” Peter reached out a hand to brace it on the column. “She wanted kids.”
Edmund could practically see the images that flashed through Peter’s mind.
An aisle decorated with white flower petals, a royal fleet with the high king and his new queen on board, and a young girl with her father’s blonde hair running down a castle corridor.
Images of a life never lived.
“And then we went hunting for the white stag,” Edmund said. “We went back to England.”
“I thought of her every day,” Peter croaked, his voice so quiet that Edmund almost missed it. “I wondered what she was doing here. Maybe when I was doing the dishes in England, she was out on a picnic. When I was writing a letter…perhaps she was taking a nap. When I woke up in the morning, thinking of her, surely she was waking up thinking of me too.”
Edmund wanted to cut in, to assure his brother that Y/N would’ve thought of Peter every day, but he forced himself to be still. Peter didn’t need Edmund thoughts or feelings, he needed Edmund’s ears.
“I kept praying that when I closed my eyes to sleep at night, we would meet each other in our dreams.” Peter finally faced Edmund again, his jaw set. It was clear from the torment building in Peter’s eyes that those prayers went unanswered.
“And now we’re back!” Peter said, with a big, sweeping gesture at their surroundings. “Against all odds, Narnia needed us again, and we made it back!” Peter looked away. “We’re here, and she’s not.”
Because it’d been nearly a thousand and three hundred years since they were last in Narnia.
“You know, I’m younger now than I was when I loved her.” A harsh, hysterical laugh came from the high king. “I’m here, living my life for a second time while she’s been dead for centuries.” A broken, choked sound escaped from Peter. “And now I know that my every second was a week for her and every minute was a month.”
Peter lifted his hands to his hair, gripping it like he wanted to tear it all off in his anguish. “Ed, she died before last summer even ended.”
Edmund swiped at his right eye, trying to pull himself together. “Peter…all the minotaurs, the-the dwarves, the giants, they’re all a part of this army because of Y/N. She’s still here.”
“Don’t feed me platitudes,” Peter snapped. “Don’t tell me that it’s Aslan’s will or that she’s in a better place or that she’s not really gone if we remember her.” He advanced on his brother, fiery anger in his eyes. “All that matters to me is that I can’t see her.” A tear slipped from the outside corner of Peter’s eye, running down his cheek. “I can’t talk to her, I can’t hear her voice, I can’t hug her, I can’t…” A sob escaped Peter. “I can’t…”
He shook his head, angrily rubbing his eyes with his fists. “Her life just flew by. She lived, and I wasn’t there.” He took a shuddering breath. “But even worse, she died, and I didn’t know.” Peter seemed to lose his balance, falling back to sit on the stone table with his head bowed. “I didn’t know,” he repeated numbly.
Edmund had never seen Peter like this. His older brother was a dreamer, a visionary. He always saw the best in people and pushed himself to be better. Now he was sitting there with no hope in his eyes.
The Just king always knew what to say, but he didn’t now.
Peter approached the witch’s wand, which had now fallen crooked as the ice continued to melt. “If the witch could bring her back with–”
“Peter, no.” Edmund was on his feet in a moment, getting in between his brother and the scepter.
“Why not?!” Peter nearly shouted, eyes blazing. “If she could do it, why can’t we?” Peter took a step towards the wand.
Edmund quickly stepped in his brother’s way. “We don’t know that she was telling the truth. She was going to say anything to make us bring her back.”
The look in Peter’s eye was wild. “She kept Narnia in winter for a hundred years, she turned people to stone, she created food and drink out of nothing, all with magic!”
“She was evil!” Edmund cried. He reached out a warning hand, trying to keep his brother away from the scepter. “Peter, it’s not worth it!”
“Y/N is worth everything!” Peter snarled, shoving his brother’s shoulders.
“Yes, she is!” Edmund shouted, pushing Peter back. “And she wouldn’t want you to do this!” Peter fell back a step, and Edmund seized the chance. “She wouldn’t want you to dabble in evil magic to get her back!”
Peter stilled.
Edmund hit a nerve.
“Y/N knew magic, and she respected the Deep Magic, she respected Aslan’s plan.” Edmund brushed the sweat from his forehead. “She loved you, Pete, more than anything, but she wouldn’t want this.”
Peter’s eyes slid from Edmund to the scepter behind him and then back to Edmund.
Edmund waited, what for, he didn’t know. It was entirely possible that Peter would concede to Edmund’s point, but it was also possible that he would make a mad dash for the scepter.
“Hey guys–”
Both brothers turned to see Caspian, who halted in the entrance, nearly causing Doctor Cornelius to run into him. Caspian’s eyes darted between the two, obviously sensing the tension. “What’s going on?” Caspian asked.
The brothers exchanged a look.
“Nothing,” Peter replied, moving to sit on the stone table again.
Edmund remained on his feet. “Doctor Cornelius?”
“Yes, my king?” the professor answered.
“Is the witch’s wand safe to touch?”
Doctor Cornelius didn’t reply right away, his eyes resting on the high king. “We need to shatter it and bury the pieces.”
None of them missed the way Peter’s shoulders tensed.
“The farther apart they are, the harder it will be for anyone to ever reassemble it.”
Caspian and Doctor Cornelius couldn’t see the war taking place on Peter’s face, but Edmund could.
"Pete,” he said softly. “It’s too dangerous to leave it together.”
Peter lifted his eyes to Edmund, and Edmund knew Peter wouldn’t ever allow the wand to be broken. In Peter’s eyes, to strike at the scepter was to strike down Y/N.
“Doctor Cornelius,” Edmund said suddenly, not looking away from his brother.
“Yes, your majesty?”
“You’ve studied Narnian history, right?”
Doctor Cornelius scrunched up his nose in confusion. “Yes, your majesty.”
Edmund flicked his eyes over in the professor’s direction. “Tell me what you know about Y/N.”
Peter’s jaw went slack as he blinked at his brother’s low blow.
“Ahhhh,” Doctor Cornelius said softly, and Edmund knew the situation had dawned on the professor. “Y/N the Lionhearted.”
With those three words, Peter rose to his feet, turning away from the scepter to face the professor.
Doctor Cornelius looked calmly back at the high king. “Legend says when your majesties disappeared, Narnia wanted to make Y/N queen.”
Peter's chest stopped moving as he hung on the professor's every word. "She was queen?"
Doctor Cornelius shook his head. “Y/N refused the title. She said that she was never meant to be queen if she wasn’t a queen beside her king.”
Peter’s body recoiled as if he’d been punched in the gut. The sharp sound of him sucking in a breath echoed through the chamber as he blindly reached out for something to support him. His hands landed on the stone table.
“She took the title of regent, and she turned down every marriage proposal she received, including, as I understand it, a proposal from a prince of Archenland.”
Edmund couldn't tell if his brother was gladdened or saddened to hear the news, for his brother's face was turned toward the floor.
“There’s a story that Y/N was walking through a market in Tashbaan when she saw a man beating a child, a slave. They say she ran in between them, taking a strike herself to protect the boy.”
The high king’s grip on the stone increased, his knuckles whitening. Edmund knew that Peter wanted nothing more than to climb into the past and take the strike for Y/N.
“When the man got angry, she paid him and whisked the boy away, raising him as her own from that day on.”
Edmund shook his head softly. He and Peter should've known that if she truly desired to raise a child, she would find a way, even if she never married.
Doctor Cornelius glanced at Caspian. “Once the boy had grown into a man, she stepped down, letting him become the next regent of Narnia.”
The high king let out a shuddering breath, the force of it causing his whole body to tremble as he looked up. “Was she happy?”
Doctor Cornelius adjusted his glasses. “Alas, history rarely documents personal happiness, but Narnia thrived under her care and under her son’s.”
Peter shut his eyes, looking pained by the word. “How did she die?” he asked, his voice thick.
If Doctor Cornelius saw the tears shining in Peter’s eyes, he didn’t comment. “No one knows. One day when she was on Doorn, she went for a walk on the beach and never came back.”
Peter’s eyes snapped open. “Doorn?” he breathed. “She…she went to the Lone Islands?”
The doctor nodded. “Once she stepped down, she went to the Islands and lived there. Everyone there still deferred to her, even if she wasn’t the regent proper. She was fair and tolerated no cruelty. By all accounts, she was much beloved.”
Peter's knees gave out, and he sank to the floor. “She went to the Lone Islands,” he said in a gasp, his eyes still focused on the doctor. “She actually…she actually went.”
Caspian, Edmund, and Doctor all exchanged a look, all recognizing the force of the emotion radiating from the king.
“Peter?” Caspian asked tentatively. “Are you okay?”
Peter’s breathing was far too quick. He lifted a fist and hit it against the stone table, clearing trying to rein in his emotion.
“Y/N saved Narnia,” Edmund said, his voice soft. “Just like we did. Just like we have to do again. We’re here to save Narnia, remember?” Edmund dared to rest a hand on his brother’s shoulder. “Y/N lived a good life, Peter, just like you will.” Peter shook his head, still battling even when he was robbed of his voice.
“She managed to live, and she lived for you.” Edmund took a breath. “If she can do it, you can too.”
Peter’s shoulders started to shake.
Edmund opened his mouth to say more, but Doctor Cornelius held up his hand, stopping him in his tracks. The wisdom in the professor’s face was enough to make Edmund pause.
A tense silence fell.
The three men exchanged looks. How long should they wait? Should they say more? Did Peter need more convincing?
And then all the questions were put to rest, as the strained sounds of gasping came from the high king. The breaths rattled in the gaping hole of his brother's chest, the place where his heart used to be. Now, it had broken and scattered.
It didn't matter if the witch's wand was shattered and buried far and wide across Narnia, for Peter's heart was already burrowed deep in the land.
Y/N's land.
The sight of his brother shedding tears from his position on the floor, upright only because of the support of the stone table, was enough to wrench any man's heart from his chest.
Edmund knew Peter loved Y/N, and Edmund himself had loved Y/N like a sister.
But this? To see the love on the other side?
It was too much for Edmund to bear. To see his big brother like this, it was something he'd never imagined and something he knew he would never be able to forget.
Had Narnia mourned like this for it's missing monarchs? Is this what Y/N had done when he and his siblings had passed through the wardrobe? When Y/N assumed that Peter was dead, had she collapsed to the floor and lamented over her departed love?
Peter pressed his hands into his face, muffling his sobs.
Edmund dared a glance at the witch's wand.
Could...could it truly bring Y/N back? Was the witch telling the truth? Would using it be so terrible if it healed his broken brother?
"Your majesty?" Doctor Cornelius asked, and Edmund turned to see that the professor looked not at Peter, but at Edmund. His gentle, yet probing eyes reminded Edmund of Aslan's, and a wave of shame swept through him. He knew better, and he still fell for the temptation.
Edmund stepped forward, placing a hand on his brother's sagging shoulder. Peter’s bursting breaths gradually slowed as he seemed to grasp control of his agony. "Pete," Edmund said softly, "what do you want to do with the scepter?"
For a moment, there was no reply.
Then, Edmund felt the muscles in Peter's shoulder shift, and he glanced down just in time to see Peter's fingers grasp his sword.
Next thing Edmund knew, Peter was on his feet and turning in Edmund's direction. Instinctually, Edmund stepped away, a momentary terror flying into his throat.
But Peter brushed past Edmund, and with a great bellow, he brought his word down on the scepter.
The blinding blue light made Edmund shut his eyes, and the horrible shattering sounded so similar to the witch’s screams, it made Edmund's head spin.
When Edmund opened his eyes, he saw his brother, collapsed on the floor, sobbing once again over the broken pieces of the witch’s scepter.
The way to Y/N was well and truly gone.
Peter had chosen strength, but it was at the cost of his heart.
And as Edmund watched his brother's love spill over in the form of tears, he wasn't sure his brother would ever recover.

I know, I’m terrible, I’m so sorry, but this idea wouldn’t leave me alone. 😫

Timeless
Tumblr media
Peter Pevensie x reader, George Karim x reader, Peter Parker x reader, allusion to Remus Lupin x reader Summary: There is a type of love that exists in all universes, and maybe, just maybe, you have that love... Trigger Warning: mentions of crying I think and being disgustingly in love, there is a mention of a tough mission - marvel, in the 3rd italicized part if you need to skip that also, the main plot/timeline doesn't have an actual character that is specified, so insert whoever. a/n: I spent an unbelievable amount of time on this, and literally all my self-esteem is resting on this rn, slay, please let me know if you like it!! -- each piece is inspired by a taylor swift song, and it is all based on her song Timeless, also pleeease understand who the old lady is! Otherwise I've failed at writing!
It had been about 2 years together now, 3 as friends, and you were madly in love. It felt as if you had known each other far longer, you couldn’t exactly place it, but it felt as if you knew each other in another lifetime. You had been out looking for an anniversary gift, nothing too eccentric, but perfect. The downtown area was small enough and the weather was the perfect type of gloomy for you to walk around. You had been going in and out of shops you knew, but when you stumbled across a unique looking door with vines climbing up the side of the building something drew you in.
Stepping in you were immediately engulfed in the smell of flowers, old books, and something sweet that you couldn’t quite place. The store was a beautiful mix of old and new, and the lady at the counter seemed to know exactly how you were feeling. You smiled at one another before you walked over to where the books were laid out. Most of them seemed like books you may take a glimpse at before moving on, but something caught your eye. The title seemed to be handwritten, picking it up you began to flip through it immediately being sucked in.
—
The couple raced through the field, many years earlier they would have been worried that the trampled flowers would not recover. However, that was not the Narnian way, the flowers seemed to almost instantly spring back to life. Things seemed to thrive here, and even when things had passed, it was never sad, more of a celebration.
Peter, the High King had been forcibly dragged out of his study by his wife, though there were grumbles about papers and deals that needed to be taken care of, they were soon hushed. You were dancing and running in the field. The shrill of laughter could be heard for miles as Peter picked you up by your waist from behind. You could feel his lips on your neck and shoulders, pressing loving kisses to your warm skin.
“You, my love, are wonderful!” Pressing another kiss to your shoulder he then began to tickle your sides. Your body thrashed as you laughed, a sound he wished he could play over and over again. After escaping you fell softly to the ground, Peter beside you. Turning to look at his face, you let yourself remember the many years you had spent together growing and loving one another.
“And you, darling, are just as delightful.” Stretching a bit, you pressed a kiss to his jaw to reaffirm your statement. You both sighed quietly while taking in the moment, the sun was shining not too bright, the flowers created a beautiful aroma, and your lover was laying by your side.
“Do you remember what you said to me the night you proposed?” You smile at the memory, Peter had spent weeks courting you, and even longer trying to win your father over.
“Of course I do.” He scoffs as if he is hurt that you’d ever think he’d forget. “And I think it has to be one of the most romantic things ever.” You hit his chest, both of you chuckling.
“‘I love you, and that’s all I really know?’ That is the most romantic thing ever said?” Again he feigned hurt by slapping a hand over his chest.
“How dare you? I do believe you are the one who said yes, and then proceeded to stay with me all these years.” You roll your eyes, perhaps you had decided to stay with him, he was so wonderful after all. “Of course I did, because I love you Peter.”
“And I love you, my heart.” You roll over to lay half way on his chest before pressing your lips to his, and you smile knowing that you wouldn’t trade this for the world.
You decided the book might be one of the most enthralling and beautiful stories you’ve ever read. The story wildly resembled the love you shared with your boyfriend, so of course you had to purchase it. Though you still continued to peruse the shop. There were little trinkets here and there, a few older looking hair brushes accompanied by hand held mirrors; there were some old children's toys easily making you smile at the thought of two young friends playing. Then you saw the most beautiful set of tea cups sitting next to each other. Again, a smile found its way to your face, you could only think about an old couple sitting together, perhaps the friends that played with the toys, enjoying a nice cup of tea while watching the sun set.
With The Problem, your options in life had been very limited, one of those options being friends. So you were stuck with your next door neighbor, George Karim. If there was one word to describe him, it was weird, and he knew it too. But that was what made you even closer. It was hard when he moved away, you were still somewhat young but the bond you formed was something that seemed much older. Yet you were left all alone again.
“George Karim, you better not forget about me! I’ll find you in the future.” your little voice sounded so broken, and his was as well.
“I can’t forget about my best friend.” He said as if it was a fact, a promise even. So you sealed it with a pinky promise and then tugged one another into a hug.
Spending years in a regular school because you didn’t have a talent was boring. Everyone seemed to almost ignore The Problem, when all you wanted to do was talk about it. There was one boy who tried to pursue you, he faked interest in the problem to get a chance with you in bed. Of course you did nothing less than physically kicking him out of the house, but since then things seemed to be dull, black and white almost. So you decided to do something more with your life.
Having seen an ad in the paper for a researcher you promptly took action. Knocking on the door of 35 Portland Row was nothing but horrific. What if you had managed to get the address wrong, or what if it was a group of older much scarier men? Your mind wouldn’t stop spinning, that was until the lock could be heard turning and the door swung open. The boy hadn’t even looked up at you before speaking.
“If you’re here about the position, you have about 5 minutes because it is almost te-”
“Tea time. 3 o'clock tea time.” Your voice held hope, something you hadn’t felt in a long time.
“Exactly.” He sounded almost agitated, but then he looked up at you, and all the disdain washed from his face. You smiled slightly, but were caught off guard as he almost tackled you in a hug.
“It’s you!” pulling back, though he still held onto your shoulders. “You found me.” It was more of a statement than a question.
“A pinky promise is not to be broken, right?” Your smile was so bright he was sure you could turn the gloomy day bright, technically you already had. He quickly ushered you inside, passing what you assumed was the makeshift interview room, George told the other boy that you needed a bit of tea prior to your interview.
As you got situated at the dining table you watch him move about the kitchen, quickly heating up the water while pulling out different types of tea. He was humming an old song, one your mother used to play while you and he would play in the living room.
“My favorite!” a bit surprised but grateful, he turned to face you.
“I know,” he smiled sweetly, and oh how you missed that smile. “I can’t seem to forget it.”
You spent more time than necessary letting the tea get to a reasonable drinking temperature and even more time getting caught up with one another. All the while you couldn’t help but think that it was much more than just change that brought you back together; and that you were excited for these sweet nothings to continue.
—
By the time you had come out of your little daydream, you had realized it had begun to rain. And though you loved the rain, you weren’t in the proper attire for it.
“Why don’t you stay a bit longer dear, I can sort you out some tea and we can talk to pass the time.” The old lady at the counter, who you almost forgot about, said.
“Oh, thank you but that’s too kind I wouldn’t-”
“Don’t be silly, it is rare that I get company.” She politely interrupted, now you didn’t have the heart to tell her no. As she trailed off into the back room you let yourself peruse the tables a bit long, but a sharp yelp of laughter caught your attention, you looked outside to see a young couple jumping in the newly formed puddles. The boy looked at the girl as if she had hung the moon.
It had been one of the toughest missions you had ever been on. After receiving an anonymous tip about a bombing about to happen, you and Natasha had been partnered together to evacuate the building as quickly as possible. Thankfully, with great struggle, you had managed to save everyone. But the possibility of failure still weighed heavily on your chest. So when you got home you packed a plate full of food, grabbed some water, and went up to your room to change and lay on your bed.
You had been alone for all of 30 minutes, enough time to finish your food and enough to be on the cusp of falling asleep. But that quickly ended when there was a quiet knocking on the door. The grumble you let out should be enough for the other person to understand that you wanted to be left alone, but it wasn’t. The door creaked open, and you could tell it was him before he even set foot into your room.
“I heard it was a tough one.” Thankfully his voice was quiet and calm, otherwise you might have chucked a pillow at him. “I thought maybe you could use some company.” With a nod of acceptance, he made his way to lay down next to you. Reaching a hand out, he took it pulling you closer until you were laying on his chest.
“I love you.” he then pressed a kiss to your head, and all felt right.
After some time there was a light patter of rain on your window and suddenly you had some energy rushing through your body.
“Peter, come on!” You exclaimed quietly. He opened his eyes groggily, though you knew he wasn’t actually sleeping. You grabbed his hand again just like you had about an hour ago, though this time you were dragging him up and out of bed. “Put your shoes on!” This time you were louder as you hopped about on one foot as you attempted to put on your sneakers.
You had him following you out, but the second he felt the water droplets hitting his body he squished his face all up. But you had missed it, you were too busy jumping in puddles, the ends of your pants were now soaked, and your socks were far beyond dry, but you could care less. And Peter could care less about the rain dripping down his face, all he cared about was your laugh and how every time you looked as though you couldn’t get happier, you did.
“Pete, come one, don’t make me jump around all by myself!” And who was he to deny you. Soon your found yourselves soaked to the bone,
“You are the only person I’d dance with in a storm in my best pair of sweatpants.” He chuckled as you purposefully splashed him.
“I know, and I love it!”
“Dear, the tea is ready!” the lady called out from upstairs, ” You tore your gaze away from the couple finding yourself more intrigued the further up you went into the store. It gradually got lighter, the walls were soon covered in a yellow daisy pattern wallpaper. And soon you were welcomed by walls full of pictures, there were stacks of books all around the living room, and a few candles that looked as though they were on their last legs.
You found the woman in the kitchen standing on her tippy toes to reach for the sugar. Swiftly taking action you reached up from behind her and pulled the sugar down for her.
“My husband used to always get that for me.” She lets out a chuckle, but it doesn’t hold any tone of sadness. “Now please, have a seat!” She pointed towards the small sunroom you hadn’t noticed.
“This is beautiful, I didn’t know apartments could have sunrooms anymore.” You gently grazed a few of the trailing plants, out of your eye you could have sworn you saw one move.
“I know, they usually don’t. But when I begged my husband, he couldn’t help but give in!” You met her on the couch, observing the house. It was quiet for a bit, but it wasn’t uncomfortable which was rather unexpected seeing as you were sitting with a stranger.
“What was your husband like?” You broke the silence. She smiled at you as if she was waiting for you to ask that. Standing up she mumbled something about staying put while she rummaged through her living room before finding what she was looking for.
As she made her way back to you and you found your heart filling, in her hands she held 4 picture books. She plopped them down on the table before pulling the top one off. The outside was covered in stickers, and on the front was ‘1974’, she traced it with her finger before flipping it open. The inside was just as decorated, there were drawings and captions around a whole bunch of photos.
“This was the year I met my husband, Remus. He’s the tall one right there.” She said fondly while pointing to the boy with a healing cut across his cheek. Next to him were 3 other boys and a girl with red hair, each wearing matching ties, school issued you assumed.
“And who are the others?” She was quick to begin her explanation of how they all met. Apparently the four boys had known one another since their first year, but then the red head, Lily, and herself had slowly integrated into the group with some of their other friends.
“We were such a rambunctious group, that one,” she pointed to a black haired boy, “was always causing the most chaos. But he had a troubled home life, so we were more gracious with him. And later his younger brother came along and joined our group.” She was flipping through the pages, you saw photos of the group out by a lake, some of parties, at least 2 of a buck in the room, though you chose not to comment on that. Then she reached for the next book, titled 1975-1977.
The pictures progressed into pictures of younger her and her husband, a few of them standing near one another on snowy paths, others where they are fully dressed in red and gold, again assuming it was a part of a school event. Though you were entranced by the photos, all you could do was admire the woman’s devotion and absolute adoration that she seemed to hold for her late husband. It seemed as though she had loved him longer than he had even known.
“My was he handsome, always was.” she continued to stare at one particular picture.
You assumed it was the day they had gotten engaged by the size of her smile, and the ring on her finger that hadn’t been there before. She stood next to Remus, who was staring down at her with a fond smile.
“He was handsome. What was he like?” You were unsure if that was the right question to ask by the saddened look she held, but it was soon erased as she looked up at you. She let out a laugh as tears spilt over.
“Remus was a quiet one, shy but also very cocky. He was a genius, in fact he had his own little study group, he helped tutor some of the younger grades. But my oh my was he mischievous, he was the brains behind all the wild schemes he and his friends put up.” Then she turned her attention to the flat. “He adored books, as you can see. I loved them too, but I think to him, they were an escape. He used to read them to me as well.” She trailed off quietly for a moment. The more she talked about him, the more you felt as if you recognized him, recognized their relationship. But you chose not to say anything about it.
“But enough of that sad nonsense! I’m sure you have far better things to attend to, I sense there is something special happening tonight?” you shook your head before finishing the rest of your tea.
“I appreciate this, truly!” Offering her a kind smile, you pulled out your wallet in preparation for paying, but she put her hand over yours.
“No, don’t worry about it dear, I believe these items chose you. I would feel better if you had them as if they were already yours.” As you were about to protest, she began pushing you back towards the door and out into the street. “Have fun this evening, dear.” She smiled before shutting the door in your face.
“Darling, I am home!” You said with a raised voice. Today had been something else entirely and you were excited to tell him all about it. The smell of food wafted through the hallway pulling you towards the kitchen. But you weren’t met with your lover, you were met with your friend instead.
“Analise? What are you doing here?” There is no point in denying that you were a bit disappointed that she was here, today was your special day with your boyfriend.
“What are you talking about? I’m not here.” Now you were truly perplexed, the smirk that she wore didn’t help at all.
“I-” she simply grabbed your elbow and walked you outside to your small backyard. Then you understood why she was there. There was a small table set out in the yard near your flower garden, with two chairs and some lights hanging around the yard. And there stood your lover, smiling brightly. Tears grew in your eyes, how special this was.
“Hello, my love.” He stepped forward to press a kiss to your lips.
“What is all this?” your voice was barely above a whisper as you looked around.
“For you. I wanted to do something special for our anniversary.” Now he led you over to sit down across from him.
The evening held some light conversation, by the end your stomach was happy and your heart felt light.
“I hope you saved room for dessert.”
“I always have room for dessert, silly!” Your laugh was as beautiful as a sunset, at least that’s what he thought. You turned to face the house, Analise was bringing out a small tray of cupcakes, and while your back was turned, and your mouth was drooling, you missed the sound of your love moving. As Analise set the tray down you turned to ask your love which you should eat first, you noticed he was gone. Spinning in your chair to face the opposite direction you saw your love down on one knee.
“Have I known you 20 seconds or 20 years?” he says with a slight smile. “Honestly, honey, I have no idea, but  I’ve loved you three summers now, honey, but I want ‘em all. I’m gonna love you when our hair is turning gray. And I will spend every day for the rest of my life showing how much I love you.”
Vigorously shaking your head yes, you launched yourself at him holding on tight around his neck, hoping to never let him go.
“Yes, a thousand times yes!” Your voice was somewhat quiet, making the moment more intimate. “We’re gonna be timeless.”

“It’s not fair.”
Y/N furrowed her eyebrows in confusion as her best friend plopped himself flat on her bed.
Her parents had let her stay with the Pevensie’s at a professor’s house for shelter — who would have thought they would end up being leaders of a kingdom.
She had been crowned Queen Y/N the Eloquent. Her ever so good skills in speaking benefited their home like no other. They had fixed so many conflicts without drawing out blood with her help, the siblings wondered what they would have done if Edmund didn’t accidentally smack her in the head back when they were 4.
“What is it this time Eds?” she sighed, leaving the stack of books she was carrying from her own personal library to sit down next to Edmund’s body.
“It’s just Peter— and Susan— not to mention Lucy. Why is it always me! Why not y— them this time?! As if I can’t do anything like that. It's just I need time—“
“Eds! Edmund! Breath, please” she pleaded, concerned at the speed the words were coming out of his mouth. Edmund only remained quiet, his face flat on her bed. She sighed, standing up from her position, she — lightly — hit Edmund on the shoulder.
“Sit up!” she hissed.
Another hit.
“Sit up, you twat!”
The insult had the boy standing up in an instant, shooting daggers at the smile Y/N was playfully displaying. “Who’re you calling a twat?”. Edmund sounded offended, Y/N knew him too well that the question had an action behind it for her to fall for. “No one. Well… someone with the last name Pevensie…”
“Peter, then?”
“No,” she dismissed, shaking her head jokingly. “More like Edmund—“ she shrieked his name in surprise. He had been quick, reaching towards her in seconds — his long arms wrapped around her waist as his fingers dug to her sides.
“Edmund! Stop—“ she could barely get the words out, her laughs drowning the whole room. Edmund laughed at the attempt, tightening his hold. “I suggest you take back your words, my lady. Or you’ll be trapped forever!” Edmund announced between his own chuckles.
“Never!”
Tumblr media
Their laughs only got louder. The sound escaping the room. Two fauns just happened to pass Y/N’s closed bedroom door, the two looking at each other knowingly. “I am really having a hard time believing that those two will always be best friends.” One said to the other.
“Hopefully, one of them will gain some courage. Who knows, maybe we’ll get Narnia’s first prince in three years' time.” The other replied.
The two laughed, knowing the prediction is highly unlikely — but not impossible.
Back inside, Edmund had stopped. His arms still around her waist as the two took a moment to catch their breaths. Y/N had rested her head against his chest, the rhythm of his heartbeat instantly calming her down.
Edmund watched in adoration at Y/N allowing herself to rest against him. Despite knowing each other for more than a decade — maybe even more — he still doesn’t believe someone as delicate as the girl in front of him trusts him enough to do so.
Maybe in the future he’ll finally tell her what he found so unfair. Why his siblings would continuously pester him about his buried feelings when they too had them one way or another.
For now, having Y/N allow him to wrap his arms around her, it’s enough. Knowing she confides in him as he does to her, it’s enough.
Having her around, she’s enough.

Y/n’s Pov:
We all grow quiet as she starts to walk to Aslan. As she walks past us, she glares at Edmund and I pull him into a side hug, making her glare at me. Peter then wraps a protective arm around me as I hold onto his brother.
“You have a traitor in your midst, Aslan,” The witch taunts as she comes to a stop and looks to the mighty lion.
People start to murmur and Edmund looks down in shame. I keep him against my side and give him a squeeze of reassurance. He looks up at me, giving me a light smile and I offer a small smile of encouragement back.
“His offense was not against you,” Aslan speaks up after a small moment of silence.
“Have you forgotten the laws upon which Narnia was built?” The white witch taunts again and Aslan growls.
“Do not cite the deep magic to me, witch,” Aslan speaks authoritatively, emphasizing the word witch with malice. “I was there when it was written,” Aslan adds in a very deep, strong voice as he plants his feet.
“Then you’ll remember well that every traitor belongs to me,” the witch explains in a very conniving tone.
My face falls and I look to Peter as he lets go of me now. I watch as he visibly gets more angry with every word that comes out of the witch's mouth. His hand goes to his sword's hilt.
“His blood is my property,” she continues to explain with a smirk on her face.
I then watch as Peter takes his sword out with an audible “schwing” sound. I let go of Edmund as Peter steps out in front of us.
“Try and take him, then!” Peter yells out, making the witch turn to us.
I let out a light gasp as a minotaur behind the witch lets out a light huff as he raises his weapon. I try to reach forward for Peter, but Edmund grabs my hand and pulls me back. I look at him as if to ask him what he’s doing and he just shakes his head at me.
“Do you really think that mere force will deny me my right?” The witch asks Peter and he stays silent, but keeps his sword held up.
“Little king? she adds on as if mocking Peter before turning back to Aslan.
Peter looks down before taking a step back, and that’s when Edmund lets go of me. I move slightly closer to Peter before grabbing his hand and squeezing. He resheaths his sword before taking a small step back with me.
“Aslan knows that unless I have blood, as the law demands,” the witch starts as she stares at Aslan with a fire in her eyes, “All of Narnia will be overturned and parish in fire and water!” She turns to the crowd behind her and some let out gasps.
“That boy will die! On the stone table,” she states as she points straight at Edmund, making both Peter and I look at him.
“As is tradition,” she adds before looking from Edmund to Aslan again.
“You dare not refuse me!” she exclaims, her voice bold and dark as she holds eye contact with the magnificent lion himself.
“Enough!” Aslan declares loudly and everything goes quiet for a moment as we all wait for what he has to say.
“I shall talk with you alone,” Aslan tells the witch before turning to his tent.
The white witch straightens up before following him to the tent. We all watch with bated breath and confusion, and soon one by one Narnians start to sit down. Edmund then plops on the ground with Lucy following suit, then Susan.
I sit down next, but Peter stays standing for a moment before he starts to get restless. He starts to pace, making his siblings and I look at him questioningly. Eventually I sigh and get up.
“Pete. Come on, sit down. No need to work yourself up over this,” I speak as I reach out and grab his hand.
“She’s right, Peter! I’m very sure Aslan’s working though it right now. Aslan does have a way with his words…” Lucy agrees as I sit back down and pull Peter with me.
“I hate to say it, but they're both right. Aslan knows how to get me out of this. Which he really shouldn’t need to… I should have known better,” Edmund admits with a shake of his head before he looks down and starts to pick at the grass.
“No, Ed, you're wrong. She manipulated you, you did nothing wrong. Just trusted the wrong person. We all tend to do that sometimes,” I explain and he shrugs, still not looking up.
“Yeah… but I shouldn’t have. I betrayed you all and for that, I am sorry,” Edmund fights back and I shake my head, getting ready to say something.
“Ed, we already forgave you. Stop putting yourself down. Any one of us could have made that mistake,” Susan explains and Lucy grins at her.
“Peter wouldn’t have…” Edmund sadly speaks and Peter’s eyebrow arches.
“Ed… had I been your age and no experience in any of the world, I probably very well would have,” Peter explains and that’s when Edmund chooses to look up.
“Really?” Edmund asks his older brother in surprise and Peter nods.
It goes quiet again as we all play with the grass and it stays that way for a while, but soon I feel Peter turn before jumping up off the ground. As Peter stands up, all the Narnians follow as he turns to watch the tent. The white witch pushes the curtains of the tent aside in a very hostile manner.
Peter turns for a split second and makes eye contact with me. He holds his hand out and helps me up, but still keeps his body turned to the tents as she starts to walk out. As she walks, the Narnians get agitated, but it doesn’t phase her as she keeps her stare on Edmund.
She then turns and walks away, not uttering one word as Aslan comes out. She walks back over to her throne and Aslan watches for a moment before turning to look at Edmund. It’s quiet for a moment as it looks like Aslan thinks over what he’s going to say.
“She has renounced her claim on the Son of Adam's blood,” Aslan announces, causing all the Narnians to cheer and clap.
Peter grabs at Edmund’s shoulder and shakes him a bit. Susan and I both hug him from the sides and Lucy smiles up at him. Peter keeps a hand on his shoulder, but has his arm around me now and he smiles down at me.
“How do I know your promise will be kept?” The white witch interrupts all the cheering and we all fall silent again.
Aslan lets out a mighty roar, effectively silencing her and she quickly sits down. Both me and Peter let out small chuckles as some of the Narnians laugh at her. It’s quiet for not even a moment after Aslan roars before all the Narnians are cheering once more. Peter lets go of Edmund as Lucy launches herself into him.
Edmund happily hugs Lucy back and even picks her up to swing her around. Susan hugs Peter, who hugs me from the other side. Edmund sets Lucy back down but keeps his hands on her shoulders as they smile at each other.
Peter and Susan let go of one another, but Peter keeps me wrapped up in his arms. I look up at the witch and she glares at me for a moment. She then goes glaring back at Aslan as her minions turn around and start walking out of the camp.
Peter squeezes me, making me look up at him. He gives me a worried look and I place my hand on his chest, shaking my head at him to signal that I’m ok. He takes a minute as if to really make sure I’m ok before he’s smiling and lifting me off the floor, making me giggle. The beavers come over to us and join in on the happiness of the moment.
I turn just as Peter puts me back down and I see Lucy’s smile fall. I follow her gaze to see she’s looking at Aslan, who looks a little sad. He gives her a small bow before walking back to his tent. I leave Peter and walk over to her.
“I’m sure all is well, Lu,” I say before pulling her into a hug.
“And I’m sure you're right. He just looked so…” she trails off, trying to think of how to say it.
“Sad? Disappointed?“ I fill in for her and she nods. “Let’s just enjoy this moment though,” she adds on with a smile.
I smile back at her before she turns to some dwarfs behind her and I turn back to Peter. He pulls me in again and I can’t help but smile when he places a kiss on my cheek.
~Time Skip~
It’s now starting to get dark and we just finished dinner. Peter stands up from his seated position at our makeshift table and holds a hand out to me. I reach up, grabbing his hand and he helps me up. The girls and Edmund stand up after me.
“Well, I suppose it’s bedtime then?” Susan asks and we all turn to her.
“I suppose it is. Y/n, will you be sleeping with us?” Lucy asks, looking at me and I turn to look at Peter.
“I think I’m going to go with Peter this time. I have less nightmares with him,” I explain as I turn back to the younger girl, who just smiles at me.
“Ok! See you in the morning then,” Lucy happily agrees before skipping off towards the girls’ tent.
“Well, goodnight then. Sleep well,” Susan says as she shakes her head before looking back at me.
“Goodnight, Susan. You sleep well too,” I agree with a nod of my head.
“Night, Su!” Ed chimes in after me.
“Night, Susan. Sleep well,” Peter chimes in as well.
Susan smiles softly before giving a light nod. She then turns and follows Lucy to the tent. I turn around and start towards the boys’ tent.
Peter comes up next to me and takes my hand as Edmund runs to be just in front of us. Once he’s maybe a few feet in front of us, he turns around and gives me a sweet smile before giving Peter a funny face. He turns back around before fully running into the tent and I giggle as Peter shakes his head.
I swing our hands as we continue to follow Edmund into the big tent. Edmund looks up at us from his bed as we enter before turning onto his side. Peter lets out a small chuckle as he shakes his head and we walk over to his bed.
Peter pulls the blankets back and lets me get in first then he climbs in next to me. He then pulls me into his side and I cuddle up close.
“G’night y/n/n,” Peter mutters before he leaves a kiss on my forehead.
“G’night Petey,” I tiredly whisper out as I try to snuggle a little closer.
He lets out a hum of contentment before his breath starts to even out. I smile lightly and reach up to kiss his cheek before settling back in. My eyes slowly close and I’m swept into my dreams.
It’s not until the early morning that I slowly start to wake up and when I do, it’s to a cold brush of air on my cheek. I scrunch up my nose and Peter’s hand moves off my hip as he rubs at his cheek. Then all of a sudden, Peter gasps as he jumps up and grabs his sword.
Edmund just watches as Peter holds his sword out to the figure of leaves standing in front of us. Edmund and I give each other a glance as Peter still holds his sword out.
“Be still, my princes and princess,” the figure of leaves speaks to us in a feminine tone as she holds a hand out to us.
Again, Edmund and I share a glance before I look at Peter. Peter and I share a glance before he looks back at Edmund then back to the figure of leaves.
“I bring grave news from your sisters,” the figure of leaves continues on and Peter slowly puts his sword down. Peter nods for her to continue on and she nods.
“King Aslan is dead. Slain by the white which,” the figure of leaves tells us and I gasp, looking at Peter. His eyes are wide.
“That can’t be…” Edmund whispers out in shock and I shake my head.
“How did we not see it coming?” I ask and Peter shakes his head.
“I don’t know… how do we know what you're telling us is true?” Peter asks as he looks at the figure of leaves.
“My Prince. Search your heart, you know it to be true. However, if you still do not believe it, your sister Lucy told me to tell you to look in his tent. Surly he won’t be there if it is true,” the figure proposes and Peter nods.
“Well, let’s go see then, shall we?” he asks as he looks between me and Edmund.
Peter sits up as does Edmund and I. We all slowly make our way out of the beds before Peter puts his sword on his hip. Together we all walk out of the tent and over to Aslan’s.
As we come up to the tent we see Oreius standing outside in front of a table. He looks up at us with shock before bowing.
“My Princes and Princess. What can I do for you?” he asks as he raises to look at us.
“We were given some grave news and have come to see if it is true…” Peter explains and Oreius bows again.
“Of course, my Prince. Anything, just ask for it,” Oreius expresses with a firm nod.
“I’ll go look in the tent. You two stay out here,” Peter orders, making me and Edmund nod in agreement.
With a sigh and squeeze of my hand, Peter walks over to the tent. Me and Edmund watch until Peter disappears, holding our breath.
“You know he went and died in my place, right?” Edmund pipes up as he leans against the table with his head down.
“Ed… I’m sure he was only doing what he knew to do best,” I justify and Edmund shakes his head.
“He died for me, y/n…” Edmund chokes out, making me sigh as I walk over and rub his back.
Peter then walks out of the tent with a grave look on his face. He solemnly walks over to us at the table and I frown.
“She’s right…” he tells us when he gets about halfway to the table.
“He’s gone…” Peter continues with a choked tone as he leans his fists against the table.
I walk over to Peter and he looks at me before lifting an arm around my shoulder. He pulls me into a side hug as I let out a sniffle and it grows quiet for a moment.
“Then you’ll have to lead us…” Edmund speaks up, making both me and Peter turn to look at him.
“Peter, there’s an army out there and it’s ready to follow you,” Edmund continues and Peter hesitates as he looks at Edmund, then me.
“I can’t!” Peter shouts out and I shake my head as Peter lets go of me before putting his fist back on the table in front of him as he looks at Edmund.
“Aslan believed you could,” Edmund notes and Peter looks away from him.
“And so do I,” Edmund adds on, but Peter still looks hesitant.
“Pete. You’ve got this. We all believe in you,” I chime in and finally Peter looks up at us.
His face shows pure determination that makes me and Edmund smile at each other. Peter then gives Edmund a small smile of appreciation as he reaches down and grabs my hand that’s on the table next to his.
“The witch’s army is nearing, sire. What are your orders?” Oreius informs and Peter quickly starts to look over the table with the battle plans laid out.
Peter looks over it for a few minutes before coming up with a plan. He quickly explains to Oreius what he needs and the minotaur nods before walking off.
“You two go get some armor on. It’s going to be a nasty fight,” Peter orders as he looks at me and Edmund.
“You need armor too, Petey,” I tell him and he nods in agreement.
“Don’t worry. I promise you I’ll go get mine in a minute.” He squeezes my hand, but I still refuse to leave him.
“Ed. You go ahead, I’ll catch up,” I comment and Edmund nods before walking off.
“Petey…” I whisper out as I wrap my arm around his arm.
“Stay safe, please…” I tell him and he sighs before turning so he can wrap both arms around me.
“I promise I will. You stay safe too, ok? I can’t lose you,” he agrees as he leans his head against mine.
“I promise,” I tell him as I nod against his forehead and he smiles.
“Remind me when this is all over that I owe you something,” he states as he grins and I giggle.
“And what would you owe me, Pete? You already do so much for me and your siblings. I don’t really think you owe me anything. If anything, I owe you…” I joke before biting at my lower lip as he chuckles.
“I’ll always owe you. You make me stronger,” he tells me and my heart feels like it bursts in my chest.
“Awe, Pete… You make me stronger too,” I agree as I bring my hand up to stroke his cheek and he leans into it.
“And to answer your other question… I owe you a kiss,” he affirms as he starts to grin.
“Well, how could I say no to that then? Of course I’ll remind you,” I beam at him and he nods before reluctantly stepping away from me.
“Now go get your armor on…” he jokingly orders and I giggle.
“Sir, yes sir,” I say as I jokingly salute him and he chuckles, shaking his head.
I giggle before turning around and walking back the opposite way. I get about half way away from him.
“Hey!” he calls out from behind me, making me stop and turn to look at him.
“I love you,” he tells me with a grin and I smile.
“I love you too, Pete,” I reply with a soft smile his way before turning around and continuing to walk away.

After getting my armor on, I walk out of the tent before walking up to the hill where Edmund stands. He’s talking with Mr. Beaver, who motions to me and Edmund turn to look at me. Edmund nods at me before taking his stance again.
I walk over and stand next to him as we watch the witch’s army advance closer. Our griffins fly overhead and one flies past us before landing next to Peter.
“You should be down there with him,” Edmund speaks up and I shake my head.
“You know he’d feel safer with me in the back lines, Ed,” I tell him and he hums at me.
“Yes, but you are queen. You can do whatever you see fit,” Edmund notes and I nod before giving him a stern look.
“Ed. I may be queen or princess or whatever, but Peter still comes over me. He feels I’d be better up here, then that’s where I’ll be. Will I be scared watching over him from up here? Yes, but I trust Peter,” I explain and Edmund nods.
“Ok… I was just saying you could be,” he reiterates before turning to watch once more.
The griffin lands before saying something to Peter and I watch as he turns to Oreius. They talk for a moment before Peter turns to look out over the field again, shaking his head lightly. Me and Edmund share a look and there’s a tense pause as we watch them advance a little more.
Soon a Minotaur is standing on a rock across from us. He plants his feet firmly before letting out a loud roar. He then lifts his weapon into the air and the rest of the witch’s army comes running over the hill. The witch rolls up in a carriage pulled by polar bears and stops next to the Minotaur as does the whole army behind her.
There’s another tense pause before Peter turns around. He looks at Edmund, who nods at him before he looks at me. I nod at him as well and he turns back around.
I watch as he reaches to his side and unsheathes his sword. He then holds it straight up into the air and a horn blows as all the Narnians start to battle cry as some pull out their weapons, ready for a fight. They all cheer for a few minutes as the witch says something to her Minotaur before he lets out a loud roar again.
When the minotaur roars, the witch’s army starts to battle cry and run towards us. Peter keeps his arm up for a bit as they cross the small distance between us. Edmund pulls out his sword and looks at me.
I grip tightly onto my staff and nod at him to signal that I’m ready. He nods before looking back out over the Narnians below us. Peter lets them get maybe a third of the way close to us before he gives the signal for the griffins.
All the griffins fly overhead and start to drop boulders on the witch’s army, who shoot back at them and many of our griffins tumble down from the sky. I watch as Peter turns to Oreius again for a moment before turning back to watch.
“FOR NARNIA! AND FOR ASLAN!” Peter cries with determination before he throws his sword up towards the sky and his unicorn neighs as he kicks his front legs out.
Both Peter and Oreius then start to charge towards the witch's army with all the Narnians following behind a minute later.
“Edmund, you stay here,” I tell the boy and he turns to me.
“Where are you going?” he asks me and I nod over to the two armies.
“To fight. Stay here. Give the order for the arrows when it’s time!” I tell him over my shoulder and I turn around to see him nod.
I quickly turn back around and rush out to the field. I quickly catch up with the rest of the Narnians and as I do, I uncap my bottle that Santa had given me. With the edge of the cap still in my mouth, I pour some of the dragon's breath juice onto both blades before putting the cap back on.
Just as I finish putting it back in its case, I catch up with the Narnians. We run for a few more minutes before the gap between armies is closed and I’m face to face with a Minotaur. He slashes his huge blade at me, but I quickly duck and watch as it swings right over my head.
I pop back up and swing my staff at him. He jumps back before swinging at me again and I duck under the ax, rolling away. As I stand back up I quickly slice the Minotaur on the back and he lets out a howl before falling face first to the ground.
Once he’s down, a dwarf uses the Minotaur’s body to hurl himself at me. I quickly turn my staff and move to the side, slicing his stomach as he comes down. He falls to the floor and I let out a breath as I look around myself.
I watch as the white witch makes her carriage move towards Peter. I quickly click the bottoms that make my staff turn into the escrima sticks and put the staff part in the loop on my back. I then start to make my way towards Peter.
“Fire!” I hear Edmund yell from above me and I stop to look up.
One of the fawns shoots an arrow lit aflame at one of the griffins. The griffin catches the fire and flies down, lighting the grass on fire. A sizzling wall of flames blocks the path of the witch's army and all the Narnians cheer.
I look up and smile at Edmund as Mr. Beaver does a little cheer, making me shake my head as I let out a low chuckle. I turn, still standing in my spot and breathing hard as I watch Peter pull his helmet up. I turn to where he’s looking and watch as the witch uses her scepter and quickly puts the fire out.
She makes direct eye contact with Peter and they stare each other down for a moment. Peter then breaks eye contact to look back at Edmund and panics a bit when he doesn’t see me. Edmund sutbley moves his eyes over to me and Peter quickly looks my way.
Peter immediately looks relieved before glancing back at Edmund. He then turns his unicorn around and stops.
“Fall back! Draw them to the rocks!!” he yells out to all the Narnians before putting his helmet down and heading back.
The horn goes off and Edmund looks down at Mr. Beaver, who says something before starting to get ready for the fall back. We all run back to the rocks and as I’m running, I feel someone lift me up onto a horse. I start to go off on them before I realize it’s Peter who grabbed me.
“Fall back!” Someone yells out behind us.
“Go on, fall back!!” Another voice calls out and I look up at Edmund on the hill.
He has his arm raised, ready to send down the rain fire of arrows. He puts his arm back down and the arrows all fly over our heads. I grip his waist a little closer as one almost hits the side of my head, but luckily I move out of the way just in time.
“What are you doing out here?” he asks me and I roll my eyes.
“I wasn’t going to leave you down here without support!” I shout back over all the yelling.
“You should have stayed with Ed! I’m fine!” he shouts back and I sigh.
“Pete, I can fight and you know it. Now stop paying attention to me and focus!” I tell him and he grunts with a small huff.
“Fine,” he huffs out as he continues to push the unicorn to run to the rocks.
I look up at the side of the rocks to see a dwarf pulling back his bow and aiming directly at us.
“Peter, watch o-!” I yell out just as the dwarf above fires the arrow right into the side of his unicorn.
Peter and I immediately go flying off the horse. He flips and hits his back on the ground as I land on my stomach. I groan as I roll over onto my side and Peter groans.
We hear a grunt from behind us and Peter gets up when he sees the witch getting closer. He stands and so do I as we hear hooves behind us.
“Stop!!” Peter yells to Oreius along with a rhinoceros that runs past us.
We both watch as the rhinoceros and Oreius push their way through the many creatures of the witch’s army. The rhinoceros gets taken down, but Oreius just jumps over him and keeps going, cutting down anyone in his way. A Minotaur tries to stop him by latching onto his back, but he only stabs him with his sword and the Minotaur goes down.
Oreius, now without a sword, pulls out a bigger one from his side as he continues to race towards the witch. He lets out a battle cry as he takes out another Minotaur before coming up to the witch herself. He jumps and swings his sword at her, but she ducks and swings around before using her staff to fight him.
She then takes a sword out and starts to cut down anyone in her way. Oreius and many others are killed at her hand as she makes her way to me and Peter. She turns some griffins that were flying overhead into stone mid-flight. When the frozen griffins crash into rocks, they break into pieces and Peter grabs me, bringing his shield up to protect us from the falling rocks.
He stands back up and makes eye contact with the witch, who stares both of us down before starting to walk slowly over to us. Peter then quickly turns around to find Edmund, and when he does, he pushes me towards him.
“Edmund!! There’s too many!” he shouts and Edmund looks up from his fight, catching me as I stumble.
“Get out of here! Take y/n. Get the girls and get them home!” Peter yells to him before fighting off one of the witch's men.
“What?! Pete no!” I yell out but Edmund keeps a grip on me, despite my struggling to escape.
“You hear him! Let’s go, you two!” Mr. Beaver shouts as he comes over to us and pulls on Edmund, who pulls on me.
Edmund continues to watch and I fight him, trying to get him to let go. Together we watch Peter get beat as we both languidly make our way up the rock that will take us out. We get about half way up before Edmund stops and turns around.
We stand there watching as Edmund seems to contemplate something in his head. My face falls as I see the witch get closer to Peter.
“Peter said get out of here!” Mr. Beaver shouts as Edmund lets go of my arm and unsheathes his sword.
I look at him and plant my feet with a nod of understanding as Mr. Beaver motions to the other way.
“Peter’s not king yet,” Edmund replies before running off.
I quickly follow Edmund though all of the creatures that are fighting. As I run though, I even slice some on the back as I pass them and they go down. It takes me a few minutes before I realize exactly where Edmund is going.
“Ed! Don’t!” I shout out, knowing she’s ten times stronger than he is.
But he continues on running as she advances on Peter. He runs to the edge of the ledge before jumping off and trying to take out her staff with his sword. She quickly moves it out of the way and he lands flat on his feet before turning to her.
She looks at him with wide eyes for a moment before thrusting her staff at him. He quickly moves to the side before bringing his sword down and hits her staff, making it break with a big flash. I hit the wall lightly behind me as I cower back from the burst of light.
It takes a moment of blinking, but my eyes quickly focus again and just as they do, I watch in horror as the witch quickly disarms Edmund before stabbing him in the stomach with the broken staff. Everything goes quiet for a moment as Edmund’s face crumples with pain. She then pulls the broken staff from his stomach and he groans as he slowly falls to the ground.
I watch as Peter finishes off his fight before running over, ready to fight the witch. I quickly jump down off the ledge before running over to Edmund and dropping my escrima sticks to the ground. Edmund lays on the ground, breathing hard and tears come to my eyes as I plop down next to him, pulling his head into my lap.
“You’ll be ok, Ed. You’ll be fine,” I whimper out as I hold him close.
I keep him shielded as a dwarf comes over and swings his sword at us, but I quickly grab one of my escrima sticks to block the blow. I push his sword up and away before tossing it.
It hits him square in the chest and he lets out a low moan before falling to the floor. I look back down at Edmund before feeling a sting in my side. I look down to see a small dagger poking out of my side.
I let out a light hiss as I pull the dagger out of my side before looking up and watching Peter fight the witch. He fights her hard and well before being stopped by a roar. Everyone turns to where the roaring is coming from to see Aslan come to a stop as he lets out a mighty roar.
“Impossible,” the witch whispers out in shock and I grin coyly before looking down at Edmund again, making my face fall as he grips onto my hand.
I look up when I hear cheering to see Susan and Lucy run in with a whole army following them. I turn to look back at Peter when I hear a metal cling only to see the witch fighting him once again. The fight for a few minutes before Aslan is running though to get to where Peter and the witch are with the army right behind him.
I let out a gasp as she gets the upper hand and takes Peter down. He falls to the ground and she pins his arm with her sword, making him let out a yelp of pain. She then swings her other sword at him and he blocks with his shield, but it gets tossed aside.
She goes to drive the sword through him and I close my eyes, not wanting to watch, but I reopen them when I hear Aslan roar. He runs in and tackles the witch to the ground. Everything goes in slow motion after that and before I know it, Aslan is walking up to Peter.
“It is finished,” Aslan tells Peter as he gives him a light nod.
“Peter!” I hear both Lucy and Susan shout as they come running down the hill.
They make it to him and Lucy hugs him as Susan looks around the scene with a frown on her face.
“Where’s Edmund?” Susan asks and Peter looks up.
“Where’s y/n?” Lucy quietly asks as she pulls away from Peter.
Susan lets out a huff before Peter starts to rush over to where me and Edmund are. Lucy and Susan follow him. They come over to us and Edmund is gasping for breath now.
“Edmund!! Y/n!!” Susan yells out, making me look up at her though tired eyes.
My eyes trail to where she’s pointing her bow to see a dwarf standing behind us with his ax raised. Susan fires the arrow and it hits the dwarf right in the chest. He lets out a yell as he goes flying back before dying.
Susan then runs over to us and drops down next to me. She takes his head from my lap and starts to take his helmet off just as Peter and Lucy drop down next to us too. Susan looks up at Lucy, who is now uncapping her cordril.
I tiredly move to the side and Peter looks at me before looking back at Edmund. Lucy drips some of her juice into his mouth before capping it again. We all watch in fear as Edmund seems to go still.

Susan looks up at Peter, who starts to cry, and I grab his hand as we all start to worry. Lucy lets out a light sob before Edmund starts to cough and his eyes slowly open. Susan lets out a chuckle and we all look at each other with smiles.
Peter quickly pulls Edmund into a seated position before pulling him into a hug. He hugs him close for a moment and looks at me over his shoulder. I smile slightly at him as I start to feel even more tired than before. Edmund pulls back to look at his brother and Peter chuckles.
“When are you gonna learn to do as you’re told?” Peter asks him though a tearful laugh.
Edmund just smiles a coy smile at him and we all grin before Lucy launches herself into his side. Lucy hugs him and so does Peter, then me and Susan. We all sit together in a group hug for a few moments before we all pull away to look at Aslan.
Aslan walks up next to a creature who’s been frozen into stone and breathes on him, making him come back to life. Lucy picks up her cordril and thinks for a moment before her face lights up. She quickly gets up with a grin on her face before rushing over to a Narnian and pouring a few drops into his mouth.
Susan grins before getting up and running around with Lucy. Edmund, Peter, and I stay on the ground for a while. Soon Edmund gets up and begins to help in whatever way he can. Peter smiles at me before pulling me to him.
I sit with my head against his shoulder and he rubs my back. I let out a small sigh of content before my eyes slowly start to close.
