Fave band/group: Pentatonix! Or For King and Country. Or the piano guys, the vitamin string quartet, Voctave.....also Phineas and the Ferbtones👌

Fave solo artists: I really like Lauren Daigle, and Jackie Evancho used to be my FAVE. Aaand idk if this counts but Michael Giacchino! love his scores, especially the score for Inside Out. There’s also this guy called Clay Kramer on YouTube who makes KK Slider covers of popular music, his stuff gives me so much seratonin😅

Song Stuck in my Head: Well I’m listening to music rn and “I’m Me” from Phineas and Ferb is on so I’ll say that! (I’ll revisit this one when I finish the list and update it with whatever song i’m listening to/is stuck in my head then) (ok the music has since been turned off and now I have “Status Quo” from High School Musical stuck in my head so! There ya go!) (now it is the next day, and I’ve got “when the party’s over” stuck in my head...i think these three songs are an accurate reflection of my taste in music🤣)

Last Movie: uhhhhh oh yeah, The Sorcerer’s Apprentice! It was SO GREAT because Jay Baruchel plays the main character (and the main character is super awkward), so I felt like I was watching Hiccup from the How To Train Your Dragon franchise learn magic and it was GLORIOUS. And also Nicholas Cage is great. And I liked the love interest in the movie as well!! She had a role to play in the story and felt authentic and genuine, which I appreciated!

Last Show: ok well the last show I watched by myself was Phineas and Ferb! Specifically, the episode with the Mardi Gras block party and then the one where Candace and Stacy compete in an obstacle course against Isabella and Ginger (omg wAIT ginger and Stacy are sisters and Isabella and Candace are GOING to be sisters mY HEART I—AH🥺). I hadn’t watched those episodes in forever, so they were really fun to revisit! I think the last actual show I watched was Kids Baking Championship or something, lol. (Those kids are AMAZING. So skilled!)

When i created this blog: November 2019! It was riiiight after the season 3 finale of miraculous aired and absolutely wrecked my emotions. I had some fanfic written that I’d never posted and had been thinking about making a tumblr/ao3 for awhile, and seeing the finale made me finally go, “.....you know what, yeah. The finale is aired, no more spoilers.....it’s time to make a blog.” So I did! And I posted my first fic! And I’m so happy i did :)

What Do I Post: a bunch of multi fandom stuff XD. This blog started off as 90% Miraculous, 10% other fandoms I like...but now it’s just kind of a hodgepoge of my favorite fandoms (with a focus on Phineas and Ferb, lol). I reblog a lot of posts, and then I post original stuff too! I write fanfic, nowadays for Phineas and Ferb but for Miraculous in the past (and probably in the future!), I draw art (mostly Phinabella art because I’ve been drawing them since i was 11 and it feels good to return to my roots), and OCCASIONALLY I will write an analysis post (I’ve got one in the works rn actually 👀), attempt to make a meme, or dip my toe into salt just SLIGHTLY before quickly backing away, lol. If I were to list the fandoms I post about in the order of how frequently I post about them, I’d probably say: Phineas and Ferb, Miraculous....and thennnnn everything else is pretty random and depends on the day, lol.

Last thing i googled: Jay Baruchel 😂. Couldn’t remember how to spell his last name!

Other blogs: this is my only blog! Sometimes I think about making a separate blog for my art and writing, but I am not sure if I should or not....maybe I will someday, but idk. I also have an AO3 for fanfic and an Instagram for art! All are under the name “authenticcadence18.”

Do I get asks: sometimes, yeah!! Sometimes I reblog ask games/prompts and get some asks for those (I’ve got so many prompts in my inbox I want to write/draw things for...ah it’s fine, I’ll get to it eventually😅), and sometimes lovely people will leave thoughts or nice messages in my inbox🥺💕. I’ve got a specific tag for all those nice messages so I can read back over them whenever I need a boost!

Why this url: it’s a music pun! When a song/section of a piece of music ends with a dominant chord resolving to a tonic chord (if you’ve read a certain fic of mine you should know allll about dominant and tonic chords👀🤣), it’s called an authentic cadence! There are different kinds of cadences, and authentic ones are my favorite. One example of this is “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.” I also use this blog to be my authentic, fandom-loving self! So I like authentic cadences, and also, I’m Cadence and using this blog to be authentic! Woo! (And 18 is just my favorite number, lol) I’m glad I ended up choosing a name that doesn’t tie to a specific fandom becaaaaaause this ended up being a multi fandom blog!

Average amount of sleep: wellllll for the past week and a half I was sick so I was probably getting 9ish hours a night (because I would sleep in really late, lol). but NOW? In my immediate future? I suspect my average amount of sleep is going to go down because I’m really bad about staying up late even when I have to get up early😅. Hoping to be good about getting at least 7ish hours a night!

Lucky number: 18! But y’all probably already guessed that, lol.

Instruments: my voice, piano, ukulele, viola (but it’s been a HOT minute), aaaand i used to be able to play guitar but then I got a ukulele and forgot all the guitar chords. (I also dabble in songwriting! I primarily use voice and piano when writing music.)

What I’m wearing: my favorite sweatshirt (that was last night, rn I have on a tanktop), some leggings, and socks!

Dream job: I’m currently learning to be a teacher, and I LOVE teaching and working with kids so that is definitely a job I’m really excited about!!! I would also love to portray characters at Disney or something (well, maybe not at Disney because I hear they’re strict, but like....I want to be Rapunzel or Anna or something, that would be so fun). OR, I would LOVE to work in tv animation somehow, be it voice acting, writing scripts/music, and/or story boarding. basically if I could do what Dan and Swampy did for Phineas and Ferb/Milo Murphy’s Law, I would LOVE THAT. (Especially the writing music part. Getting to write music for established characters and get PAID for it would be SO COOL.!.!.!) Also I think it would be so fun to write Disney storybooks! Like, those books that are about Cinderella baking a cake or Ariel befriending a seahorse, stuff like that. Those brought me a ton of joy as a child!

Dream trip: I want to visit alllll the Disney parks someday😅. (Not right now because, ya know, Covid...but someday!)

Fave food: uhhh i really like pizza. And popcorn. Also hummus and guacamole!

last book: I got the book Unbirthday for Christmas! It’s basically Disney’s Alice in Wonderland, but if she’d never gone to wonderland and things went horribly wrong there. (I think, I’m not that far into it yet, lol)

Top 3 fictional universes I’d love to live in: 1. DANVILLE, PLS. Especially as a kid, I SO would’ve loved to hang out with Isabella and Phineas and the rest of the gang! Danville is so vibrant and unique and people are always randomly breaking into song there, that’s my kind of place! 2. Fairytopia (from the Barbie movies!) because I could be a fairy OR a mermaid OR BOTH and eat seeweed to breathe underwater even if I wasn’t a mermaid. Like, that’s the dream right there. (I’ve always loved mermaids and fairies, lol!) 3. Maybe San Fransokyo from Big Hero 6? All of the technology in that universe is really cool! And I would love to eat a noodle burger, lol .

Best Friends to Lovers- original character + Ashton

Huge shout out to @sublimehood for always making sure my shit doesn’t suck LOL

My first autumn in Los Angeles came and went. Seasons are weird here, since the weather barely changes. The air outside is getting slightly cooler, but nothing like back home, and I admittedly missed having a white Christmas. Though I could definitely get used to 60 degree Decembers.

Our whole group has been excited about the epic New Year's Eve party we plan to hold at our apartment. That afternoon, Ashton, Calum, Georgia and I make a supply run for the party. This proves to be quite an adventure in which we lose Cal for almost thirty minutes. After over an hour at the grocery store, we load Ash’s car full of booze, snacks and some other random shit nobody needs.

Within a few hours, our apartment is filled well past capacity mostly with people I have never seen before. Georgia and I had agreed that even though we were technically staying in for New Years Eve, we wanted to get all dressed up anyway. I can’t resist any excuse to wear sparkles, so I’m in a skin tight little black sequin dress, and I’m looking smoking hot if I do say so myself. My stupid brain can’t help but wonder what Ashton is going to think of my in this. As I wade through the waves of strangers, I get my answer. There is a split second when Ash first sees me that his eyes basically pop out of his head. I can’t help but smirk.

“Damn girl, look at you!” Georgia is standing and talking with Ash and Calum.

“NO, look at YOU!” I reply, grabbing her hand and leading her into spin to show off the sexy little green number she is wearing. I notice Ashton is still staring so I decide to bring this back to reality. “Hey Ash, where’s Camille tonight?”

His eyes focus on my face now. “Out of town for work.”

“Aw, bummer.” I say, trying with everything I have to hide my sarcasm. Georgia and I exchange a quick look. The party is a huge hit. There’s a million people here and everyone is having a blast. At some point, we decide to set up beer pong downstairs in the warehouse space where the band practices. Ash and I are on a team and we completely annihilate EVERYONE. We are seriously unstoppable. After eleven matches of no one being able to beat us, we run out of people willing to go up against us and decide to head back upstairs.

Ashton and I have spent the whole night side by side. It’s really nice, actually, without having his girlfriend hovering around making sure I don’t get too close to him. Aside from kicking ass at beer pong, we’ve just been talking about anything and everything. We could talk for hours, and we do. A little voice in the back of my mind is throwing up all the warning signs that I have entered dangerous territory, but I ignore it.

We are standing in the kitchen getting more drinks when Georgia walks over with a mildly concerned yet amused look on her face.“Hey guys… do either of you have any idea how a live penguin got in the hall bathroom?!”

Ashton happened to be taking a sip of beer at that exact moment, and spews it everywhere.

“Personally, I’m not even surprised. And I’m definitely about to go take a selfie with it. But no, I have no idea where it came from.” I reply, grabbing Ashton by the arm and dragging him to the bathroom to meet our new friend. We both agree that this little guy is too cool (haha get it?) to get rid of and accept him as a welcome guest of the party, and also, someone else’s problem.

After the penguin excitement wears off, we head back to the living room. Someone has turned the TV on and apparently the countdown to midnight has now begun. Ashton and I grab the silly string, noise makers and confetti poppers we bought at the store earlier in the day and start handing them out. We all chant the final ten seconds to midnight along with the TV. As soon as we get to one, everyone goes crazy. Ash and I attack each other with silly string as noise makers and confetti are all set off around us. It’s the perfect moment, until an awkward silence takes over the room. Most of the group has coupled off and are all sharing their perfect midnight New Year’s kiss. I shift awkwardly for a second, and glance up at Ashton. He’s noticed it too and looks almost as awkward as I feel.

I decide to break the awkwardness between us by shooting him right in the face with silly string. Instinctively, I dodge through the kissing couples near as to run away from him as quickly as possible before he can retaliate. He laughs and immediately chases after me, which doesn’t really work in my favor because he’s a lot faster than I am and catches up to me almost immediately. Grabbing me by the waist and holding me within shooting distance with one hand, he uses the other to silly string me to death. It's no more than I deserve. Georgia and Calum have finally stopped making out and she catches my eye from across the room and raises an eyebrow, apparently noticing our little flirting session.

The rest of the night goes by pretty quickly. Around 1 a.m., people start to slowly trickle out, but I’m too busy sitting on the couch talking to Ashton to care about anybody else. The penguin has mysteriously disappeared and I can only hope he was safely back where he belongs, though it’s more likely that he is wandering around the building.

As per the usual, Ashton and I are the last ones standing at the end of the night. Adrenaline still pumping from the excitement of the party, neither one of us is ready for bed. We decide to do a favor for our future selves and start picking up the mess. Though it only lasts maybe ten minutes.

“I’m bored… wanna finish the rest of this tomorrow and go get high on the roof?” I ask him with a smirk.

“Why yes, yes I do.” Ash replies, dropping the trash bag in his hands to the floor.

The night air feels amazing on my skin after being inside all night. Ash and I share a joint and laugh about various situations that occurred throughout the evening. I realize that without even meaning to, I’m sitting with my leg touching his again, but he hasn’t moved away. It’s probably the weed but small details start to stand out in my mind. His hair moving in the breeze. His gorgeous eyes shining in the moonlight. The way his whole face lights up when he smiles, dimples and all. He seems to notice me watching him eventually, but instead of saying anything, he just watches me right back, a small grin on his face.

The moment was too perfect. It was too much to take. I lean in quickly and press my lips firmly against his. He seems stunned for a split second, but then next thing I know, one of his hands is on my cheek, the other on my lower back pulling me closer to him. Everything about this kiss is perfection. The way his lips fit against mine, the way they move together in sync, the gentle pressure of his hand on my face. This is the way people were meant to be kissed. This is what kissing should be like every single time.

“Shit.” The word falls out of my mouth as my brain catches up to the rest of me and I pull away from him. Without hesitating, he leans in again for more. I stop him, “Ash,” I start breathlessly, staring at him, our faces just inches apart. “You have a girlfriend.” He opens those flawless hazel eyes, locking them with mine, then sighs and turns his head away from me slowly.

“I’m SO sorry. I shouldn’t have done that. I’m drunk and a little high. That was so stupid of me. “ I stammer, flustered. He is uncharacteristically quiet for several moments as he stares straight ahead at the glittering city skyline. “Ashton, say something..”

“It was just because you were drunk and high, huh?” He says, almost in a whisper. The tone in his voice surprises me- he sounds.. Hurt?

“Ash, you have a girlfriend and we are roommates and you’re my best friend. I absolutely should not have done that. It was a huge mistake.”

“Sure. okay. A mistake. Right.” He almost sounds sarcastic.

I sigh, “I uh.. I should go to bed now…. Shit.. I really am sorry.” I add as I quickly make my way back down the fire escape.

Back in my bedroom, I close my bedroom window, slam my body face first onto my bed and scream into my pillow. Once that is out of my system, I pull out my phone to text Georgia.

If you’re awake and not having sex, come to my room NOW. please.

After about three minutes, I hear a soft knock at my door. I open it to find Georgia there, and swiftly pull her inside, shutting the door hard behind her.

“G. I fucked up.” I say quickly, making my way back to my bed.

“Why? What happened?!” She asks, sitting down next to me.

“I… I just kissed Ashton.” It comes out as a panicked whisper.

“YOU WHAT?!”

“SHHHHHHHH”

“Are you kidding me?” She asks, a look of shock on her face.

“Nope. Definitely not kidding... I told him that it was just because I was drunk and it was a total mistake.” I squeeze my pillow and sigh into it heavily.

“Well that’s pretty stupid of you considering that it wasn’t the alcohol’s fault at all and this would have been the perfect opportunity to be honest with him about how you feel.”

“Georgia, HE HAS A GIRLFRIEND! And he’s my roommate and my best friend. It would make things way too weird. And you know I’m not looking for a relationship.”

“Oh so I guess you’re still working on convincing yourself of that lie too, huh? Does that mean you haven’t admitted to yourself yet that you don’t just have a crush on Ashton, that you’re actually madly fucking in love with him?”

“I AM NOT.” I snap defensively.

Georgia sighs. “Okay. whatever you say. But I just have one question for you.. How was it?”

I let out a deep breath and glare at her for a second before giving in. “Literally the best kiss of my entire life. It was like something out of a fucking movie. You know how people always talk about seeing fireworks and hearing angels sing and all that bullshit? Yeah, that all happened.” I let out another sigh and bury my face in my pillow again. I feel Georgia’s hand on my back sympathetically. “UGH what have I done?” I groan.

Georgia consoles me a little while longer before eventually heading back to Cal’s room for bed. I lay awake for a long time, going over the night’s events repeatedly in my head. Eventually, I drift off to sleep with the last thing I see in my mind being Ashton’s lips.

ok ok, sorry sorry sorry i’m back. i’m a few weeks behind and watching these episodes for the first time no spoilers.

Previously on Insecure: Living with Daniel was a lick. Daniel wants to make connections at the club. We Got Y’all needs to hire people of color. And Molly switched to a black run law firm.

Looky looky looky. Issa and Daniel are sleeping in bed together, platonically of course. Daniel teases her and at first you think they are still playing platonic, but they soon begin kissing and Daniel goes down on her. There is totally a scene full of Issa Rae's naked pelvis and hard nipples which I have to say is an improvement over her very awkward sex scenes last season. I approve. Idk about the eating Flamin Hots while getting head, but I understand the sentiment being expressed. But then! That was a fake out too, yet another of Issa's frequent fantasies about the person she wishes she could be but is not, like yelling at her coworkers at work or going on dates with her ex who dumped her last season. She got me that time.

Why are they sleeping together platonically? Issa quickly rolls out of bed and leaves before acting on any of the things she's thinking.

Molly is taking her bulldog to the dog groomer. She hasn't started at her new job yet. Issa hasn't had the interview yet for the invitation she had in the last episode but Molly is just happy she will be getting her own place soon. Issa clearly isn't quite ready to leave the safety (not to mention financially beneficial) arrangement she has with Daniel, but isn't being totally honest about that. Her makeup looks fantastic though.

Molly doesn't see what the big deal is since Issa is sleeping on the couch, but Issa's awkward response makes it clear they she and Daniel have started sharing a bed. Like a good friend, Molly knows this isn't a good idea, but Issa defends her poor choices while eating a dog biscuit.

We Got Y'all is participating in like... a non profit fair or something? I really like Frieda in a supervisory role, and it looks like Issa is doing better from the redheaded stepchild position she had been in before.

Meanwhile, Molly is having her first day at her new law firm. Her dress has a confusing belt thing going on but a cute ribbon tie at the neck. She meets all of the staff and I enjoy just the concept of a firm staffed entirely by black people. That's a nice thing to see on TV. And the view isn't bad either.

Can I just say that I actually love LA? I expected to hate it and for it to be full of nothing but bleach blonde fake boobed bimbos. First of all the people were totally normal - far more "normal" "American" people than I was expecting, which is to say... overweight, basically. New York was a lot worse/better - nothing but thin and fit people in really fantastic clothes. I never saw a fat person in New York until I went to Times Square with the tourists. I could totally live in LA and be completely happy with the vibe, it is honestly not that dissimilar to Chicago at all. After visiting a few times I really don't know why people hate LA so much. You know what I hated was San Francisco... a surprisingly ugly city! And before I ever went to California I used to tell people if I were to live anywhere there it would probably be SF. Oof. That's what happens when you speak in ignorance, sis.

Daniel is working on a new track which sounds like a cross between a video game soundtrack and a sad "my life was hard" rap song. He's hoping Spyder will like it, and solicits criticism from his producer friend. I don't know his name, sorry. The producer friend doesn't like basically any of the components of the song and criticizes things he thinks Spyder won't like. I'm not sure if we should trust his opinion more than Daniel's at this point. The caption says that he "strips down" the beat. They both sound like the same sad ass song to me, so idk. But Daniel is clearly uncomfortable with the criticism.

It turns out We Got Y'all is hosting a booth at a job fair, looking for the more black employees Issa suggested. Frieda and her manager haircut are happy with the turnout. For some reason, Dias de La Muerte dancers show up complete with a band and everything and I guess job fairs in LA are more interesting than any I've ever been to... which now that I'm thinking about it is zero...

It turns out this is part of a presentation for another employer that works with musically gifted kids in underrepresented neighborhoods. Issa goes over and talks to the staff there and seems impressed with their shtick. Or maybe impressed with the cutie manning the booth.

Uh oh. At Molly's new firm she's learning the office doesn't use standard tech that she's used to expediting her work with. Instead of DocuSign, they use Adobe and a courier. Yikes. I worked at a nonprofit that still didn't have efax and, why? This is the whole ass future. We wasted so much paper printing and faxing everything manually and they didn't even have the big blue recycling bins, which annoyed me to no end. They are also ok with CPT time on the courier deliveries, which is clearly unacceptable to Molly. Sigh. Why do we do this, you know?

Issa is meeting with the property management company and is being interviewed by an older black guy, which is a good sign. Let me reiterate that her makeup is lovely. It seems like the part time position is more the role of a super than... something Issa would really be interested in. She would also get a discounted apartment - about half off - that the interviewer is readily willing to give to her. He asks if she wants it, and at least she has a good bathroom mirror again with which to comtemplate it.

Later, Issa is tagging along with Daniel at the laundromat, who is complaining that his producer friend took out all the "musicianship" in his track - he wanted the string accompaniment, he wanted the instruments. Daniel is trying to elevate his production with Nordic influences and unique touches. Issa offers gently that when he gets to the next level he can do whatever he want, suggesting nonverbally that he should play the game for now and get creative later.

Issa tells him she picked up the second job, so now she can move out. Daniel points out that three jobs is a lot but Issa, perhaps pressured by Molly and Kelly, is really focused on getting her own place. Daniel tells her he really doesn't mind, and their chemistry is lovely as they flirt and get in each others' faces. They are doing a good job of building the tension because I really just want them to bone already.

Back at Molly's firm, a coworker asks if she wants to take a walk for lunch because she's in a fitbit challenge with her MiL. I am sharing data from my Apple watch with my sister and my niece and biiiitch... being a child is the best. She regularly gets 500+ move points a day while I struggle to reach 400, wtf is this child doing all day? She clearly moves so much more often during a day than I do, lol. No wonder we get fat as we get older. However Molly turns down this invitation - she is used to working through lunch, in case you weren’t picking up on all the signs that the black owned firm does not run as strenuously compared to the white-run environments that Molly is used to. The emphasize the point, the storage room is just randomly inside the building instead of offsite, as Molly would have expected. She clearly is not a good fit for this environment, and honestly she should just acknowledge that.

Girls night. The four girls are at a bar listening to Molly complain about the firm. Issa points out there are Mexican law firms as well, for Molly to complain about. Of course Tiffany, the obnoxious one, agrees that black things are janky. I mean... this is not an argument I want to get into for obvious reasons.

The girls go through examples of supporting and not supporting black businesses - Tiffany loves Beyonce, so although she signed up for Tidal she never goes on it. Kelly has a white accountant even though she herself is an accountant. I feel like this all the time. I feel pressured to give clicks to black articles, lol. I feel guilty for skipping links on Twitter about "black issues." I feel a responsibility to care and show support even about things that I don't fucking actually give a fuck about. Also Issa is wearing a dress that definitely showed up in some pivotal scene last season.

Tiffany hints about the changes from pregnancy - she hates that she can't fit her clothes anymore and she's being excluded from group chats. But the overall point is Molly should give the situation some time and try to adjust. Is Amanda Diva really pregnant IRL? Her pregnancy belly is realistic.

Kelly was helping Issa find an apartment - the best she could do with Issa's credentials is something with a "half bath," which, biiiiitch. So Issa breaks the news that she is, in fact, going to stay with Daniel a little longer. They're not sleeping together and they're getting along so she doesn't see what the problem is. Her friends try to convince her there is a problem, and shit like this scene is why I don't listen to bitches when it comes to my romantic life. Don't need all that extraneous input on what choices to make that are best for ME.

Back at We Got Y'all, Issa and Frieda are interviewing one of the people that showed up at the job fair. For some reason, Issa clearly isn't feeling it - and why is she taking part of this interview in the first place? Is it literally just because they need a black opinion on who to hire? The girl compliments Issa's sweater, perhaps perceiving the bad vibes she's kind of rudely wafting. The candidate asks sincerely what Issa thinks of the job, and Issa answers honestly that "they are how they are." When Issa says she's been there five years and the candidate concludes that Issa must really like it, she blanches with no response. But later, Issa checks out the website for the musical empowerment employer, so maybe she will find the motivation to make a change.

More of Molly's black firm, more of her disdain for the loose standards. This time they call her out, and everyone at the table laughs politely.

Check out Daniel! Despite Spyder's reluctance, apparently they have established a working relationship as Spyder shows up at the studio to meet with Daniel and the other engineer. It turns out a friend of Spyder did get shot at the club the other night. He probably died because when Daniel asks if Spyder is alright, Spyder takes a beat and responds "....nah."

Daniel plays his track for Spyder instead of the pared down version his producer recommended. The producer asks if Spyder wants to hear the other version and Daniel is clearly annoyed at this power move. He does play the producer - Khalil's - version, and Spyder thinks that version is hot as well. At first you aren't sure if Khalil is really being a snake - clearly both versions are good, just for different sensibilities - but then he takes over the session and starts playing more of his own stuff, to Daniel's chagrin.

Issa and Daniel are having dinner... I wanna say at Gladstone's! But that's a totally uneducated guess, lol. Daniel is in a bad mood, but Issa is oblivious. "Is that Jay-Z and Beyonce?" she says; "No, it's us! We cute!" she playfully jokes. This breaks through Daniel's bad mood, and Issa explains she wanted to thank him for his generosity, but she is going to take the part time job and move out. Daniel responds petulantly, and eventually explains the snake move by Khalil in the studio. Surprisingly, Issa takes Khalil's side, saying that Khalil knows what Spyder likes, and Daniel would be squandering this opportunity to be so prideful.

Daniel says he thinks it's funny that Issa is giving *him* career advice and... while maybe that's valid, does Daniel even have a job that pays actual money? Cause I have to say I have not seen any evidence of that over the last three seasons. He throws his "saving you from some shit" actions in her face and Issa is understandably hurt. The dinner is ruined. They still sleep together in the bed that night but they are turned away from each other in terse silence.

Daniel halfway apologizes for taking out his issues with Khalil on her but Issa only dryly replies that it's fine. He turns over and starts spooning and kissing her, which she reluctantly gives into. Toxic. I mean, I get it, but fuck, toxic relationships. It seems redundant to even complain about it because, fuck it, aren't we all toxic sometimes too - it's not always just the other person. This time, he goes down on her for real.

Unfortunately, Issa isn't into it. She says it doesn't feel right, and I don't blame her. They lie next to each other awkwardly and eventually turn away from each other again.

the soundtrack says something something something about loving each other despite their pride and yeah... I get it, lol. I would have got it without the on the nose elaboration.

ok panic concert highlights

(plus some personal adventures)

this was the portland show on the 12th k

so it was a fuckin hour and a half drive bc where i fuckin live now is far away from everything i hate it anyway that sucked & i ran my phone down to 80 percent during said drive which proved problematic

we get there (me & my lil sis) & our dad drops us off & we run up & im bitching about how weird the fucking venue is (it’s normal, it’s just not what i’m used to - in vegas the venues were typically in the casino/resorts so you lined up inside the halls & sat against the walls & tourist-watched, in this venue u stood outside in a line???? ughhh)

so we approach the line & something happens, i’m gonna make a separate post about it because holy shit

befriended two excitable gay kids, maybe 8th or 9th grade?? & i was like woah i was u once. now im old & jaded. eugh. then they bailed on me so.

we got into the arena & were on the wrong fucking side so we had to JOG all the way AROUND THE WHOLE FUCKINGN PLACE UGH

THEN WE GOT IN & SAT IN THE WRONG SEATS so the guy next to me (dad w a thick accent, maybe ukranian?? it wasn’t russian but it was close) politely informed me & i was like fuck well until they get here we’ll stay, but i had anxiety so during an arizona song i pretended to go to the bathroom & came back to look for our actual seat, someone took it so i pussied out & went back, had hella anxiety about it, then before hayley the ppl showed up so we had to move & i had to kick some preps out of their seat & they called my lil sister a bitch ;-;

OK SO ONTO THE PERFORMERS

arizona was cute, gotta check them out... singer kept getting emotional & wiping his eyes, it was sweet, and he was hella feeling himself dancing & stuff lmaoo. idk em but im proud of them.

HAYLEYYYYYYYYYYY her dancing & drumming & outfit??? also all the lesbians/wlw getting crunk in the crowd was so damn good haha

ALSO shout out to hayley’s band, they were so cute??? the guitarist & her kept having moments & he seemed like a cool dude, & the girl on synths was so pretty omg??? & smiley i loved her. & the drummer, they were goin so hard i couldnt get a good look, but they had kewl hair

“if you don’t know anything about me, there’s one thing you should know: I LOVE GIRLS” there was so much gay energy at that show i was teary the whole damn time

k confession, i love everything about hayley but i find her voice a little grating on the ears, something about it, but it was super angelic live & didn’t bug me once, & wanna be missed fucked me up cuz it’s my fucking f a v

during girls like girls, everyone had their lights out & there was a bunch of pride flags out, and i got this gorgeous shot of a gay pride flag illuminated by lights (i posted it)

most of the songs they played between the breaks were gay themed too which was powerful dude i was so damn emotional

then during the countdown to panic, they played the next episode by dre (the “smoke weed every day” song) & then africa by toto jsfndjfndjskfnjdk

THEN PANIC CAME OUT

KENNY & NICOLE WERE SO CUTE THE WHOLE TIME THEY KEPT GOOFING AROUND ESPECIALLY KENNY IT WAS ADORABLE

ok several things about breb

one, i never was heavy into panic, but considering how obsessive i was into bandom a few years back, i still know a lot about early panic, livejournal shit, ryden bullshit, etc, so it was really weird being there with normies who were just like “he’s hot & sings good” when i was like “yall lucky fucks never heard of myrtle beach ” dsjfnjsdnfds

two, four years into panic & i never was attracted to brendon, but dude, EVERYONE fell in love with him at this show, myself included, & i was starin at this bitch ass motherfucker in a trance before i was like “wait ur a bastard STOP U ENDEARING DICKWAD” he was so fucking endearing it was ANNOYING cuz i’ve seen some of the shit he’s pulled damnit. srsly tho, so absolutely charming, wow.

three, and what stuck with me most; brendon loves what he does. a little bit of exhibitionism, i think; he likes ppl looking at & admiring him, he’s that type of person, a showman, but also, i think he just loves making music, people singing along to the music, etc. ive been to eight concerts now, and i don’t think i’ve seen someone who clearly loved being on stage so much. a lot of ppl act like it’s a chore to tour, but brendon clearly loves it, and it made me happy, especially as an aspiring musician.

four, the straighties drooling over him and the gays drooling over him was truly straight/gay solidarity

ok what else happened... brendon would throw in random ass high notes towards the ends of songs... my sister looked at me super alarmed when he first did it during dtmwagt lmfao... ppl would cheer & it was impressive, but kinda piercing & i was like “show off” lol

HE DID THE ‘I MAKE THESE HIGH HEELS WORK’ thing, i thought he retired tht?? so i was pleased lmfao

i dont rmr anything that stands out about ready to go or la devotee but the lights & backgrounds during them were very pretty & i got some good pics of brebbois face (i finally got semi decent quality pics im rlly happy abt tht, concerts r so hard to photograph)

hallelujah was cool cuz there were, like, those catholic(?) church windows projected on the top part of the stage, it was pretty af, they rlly outdid themselves with the visuals

and mona lisa had like pipes & industrial stuff?? idk it looked dope, and it contrasted rlly cool it was super pretty

nine in the afternoon,,,, the only pretty odd song... i dont even like pretty odd but it was like,,, damn. & he had the piano, total live in denver vibes ;-; but he wasnt dripping sweat this time lmao

golden days, brebweenie knows hes hot, kept winking & doing mic flips & shit & i was like u fucken weenie ive seen that pic of u w a bowl cut in a bra, die

ok i did smth lowkey embarrassing, i doubt he saw, but when he faced towards us i was just overwhelmed w like.. gratitude?? ive had a bad 2 years in every way, so being somewhere filled with love & fun & kindness & joy & all around good vibes, i was so grateful? i just wanted to thank him for creating that kinda atmosphere. so i like,,, blew kisses but not in a weird way, like later i was like oh that was kinda weird whyd i do that, but at that moment i didnt use my head & it was jus my instinctual way of saying thank u idk it’s lame but it happened so there ya go idfk

fun fact, my vid of it is out of focus cuz i was so enamored watching him & watching the crowd react it was pretty fucking magical it rlly was

once he got down from that piano he went “wow i feel so fucking inspired now” & i was like “bitch me too tf”

legit it was absolutely indescribable, even watching my vid now.... wow. and u can hear me lightly crying in the back of my video too lmao, and i was shaking p hard, it was so fucking magical. like im getting emotional rn cuz it was exactly what i needed to remind myself that there is good stuff in the world thats worth staying for.

after, breb said “that is gorgeous btw” about the rainbow lights, and “thank u for participating in love” & giggled, i got this shot of the lights in the dark lookin incredible ;-;

ive seen miss jackson live twice now cuz at my monumentour show, new politics brought lolo out to cover it so that’s dope lmfao

anyway bden did the fuckin valley girl voice for “the scenery is so loud” which was delightful

fuckin show off tho he played like 3 instruments & i was like u bitch stop

there was some kinda audio sample that went “i got a fever & the only prescription is more caffeine(?)” & bden mouthed the words along, and some girl behind me went “SAME”

UPDATE: googled it, i knew i recognized chris walken’s voice, he says cowbell not caffeine & it’s a skit from snl that i’ve SEEN im a disgrace anyway that was fun also woo cowbell

the big screen kept cutting from bden drumming to a shot of the crowd & someone holding a pride flag & i was like yah drumming is gay now

I wanted to ask what do you think about this whole situation with Tom, is it hard to keep roleplaying him and to reenact his thoughts when he has been acting so unusual lately? INTRO &DISCLAIMERNow what I am going to tell you is obviously just how I see the situationpersonally. This might not be the representation of reality whatsoever, eventhough I’d like to think I’m a good judge of character. I don’t know thesepeople. They are, by all means, strangers to me as I am to them. But I DIDhappen to grow up with them, observe them through years of footage, and seemany of their quirks in real life as well whenever I had a fortunateopportunity. Saying that, I feel like even though their stage personas (orwhatever you might call them) are “built strong” sometimes, you can still peekright through them if you have enough of a “people sense”.Look, most folks probably realize that Tom isn’t all that he gives out to be,but they don’t really think about it all TOO much. And honestly, I don’t either- it just comes naturally for me to psychologically evaluate people. And myevaluation of him is that he is full of unresolved issues.I don’t even mean that in a bad way, I really don’t. I just want all the bestfor him. But let’s just say that seeing how his life was up until now, thereare multiple factors that play out in his current “out of character” behavior. Toa certain extent, I can also relate to him in some regard. Similarly to him forexample, I too use a weird sort of humor to hide behind, almost as though it’smy shield, so none of what I’m saying is said in a judgmental manner. We all haveour own issues after all, and that doesn’t make us any lesser.BUT FIRST THING’S FIRSTTalking about humor, let’s just get straight into it, because we have to startsomewhere… Humor is a stress relief weapon by its poetic definition. In Tom’scase, it isn’t any different – only maybe he takes that a few steps further,still. More than just as a casual thing, his jokes are also being used to takethe edge away from what he considers to be serious and/or emotionally intangiblesituations. Why? Because Tom doesn’t appear to be someone who would like to“show his real self” to people in a situation he can’t properly evaluate,unless he knew for SURE they are to be trusted. In other words – he doesn’twant “the emotion that would be shown from him” to be used as a weapon againsthim later on, especially if he doesn’t know what kind of a reaction to expect from thecounterpart. “If you appear vulnerable, this same vulnerability is going to beused against you” is the mentality here – that’s a lesson of sorts that he’s probably learned how to incorporatein his daily life at a very young age already. So deflecting a lot of shit withhumor is basically an act of protecting himself. Same with his manly-manboasting, and all the confident penis commentary, which many people look at justsuperficially, saying that it’s trashy and/or annoying – even though what itreally turns out to be, in my opinion, is a (not all that uncommon) copingmechanism. So the next thing you’d ask would probably be “but what on earth is he copingwith then?” I guess it would be probably safer to ask what he isn’t coping withat this point, because we’re talking about a bunch of things here, all muddledtogether in one big ball of anxiety. Main things to highlight probably include a)fear of abandonment, b) some art of repressed self-consciousness, c) some weird(intrigue by and a fear having lack of?) dominance issue and etc. all the wayto the last letter of the alphabet.I’d say it all started in childhood with his father leaving and being, as faras we know, generally problematic (because honestly, that fucks us divorceekids all up, and it’s so internalized that we don’t even really realize ituntil it hits us in the face as adults, when we are suddenly facing multipledaddy issues all at once lol). Maybe even beforehand, depends on what sort of anupbringing the twins’ parents decided to give them. Then we have the general yearsof complete hell, also generally known as the school days, full of bullies and nasty youngadults with too much time on their hands. We all know the baseball bat stories –need I go into further detail? Then comes the growing up under the spotlight,of course – the unusual puberty they had to go through, as Gustav so nicely putit in the documentary – and being pushed into a harsh ass business at such ayoung age… just basically dealing with a bunch of stuff that kids usually haveno place dealing with, and maybe learning some lessons that normal people onlyget to really learn in their 20s or 30s. Namely how it is to be working with allthe wrong people, and probably having at least some sort of taste of a betrayalon a professional, working level etc.If there is one thing, one lesson that ties all of these separate life erastogether to make a nice whole, it’s one of how you have to be careful aroundpeople, and how forming trusting relationships isn’t a very simple task,whatsoever. Between parents leaving, peers bullying you, media shitting on youand the industry silently pulling their own strings behind your back – oh, andhave I mentioned stalkers and the literal walls they had to build around theirhouse in order to keep them at bay? which didn’t work anyway because their private space WAS invaded by gross people? – I guess you pretty damn quicklystart losing your naïveté. Or well, if not that, at least your trust in prettymuch anyone that hasn’t been with you since the very, very beginning.And then comes, obviously, the relationship he had with Ria.Now, again, everything I’m saying is based purely on my speculation from mereobservation. I don’t actually know any of the people they associate with either.But the vibe I got from his relationship with Ria was honestly… not that bad inthe beginning. I think that, at least at the start, she was really, really goodfor him. And that he got even more attached to her eventually, because she wasthere when he emotionally needed her most (read: the big move to the USA,stalker problems and lack of motivation to keep being in a band from all thepressure…). I also think that he kind of thought this relationship was really“it”, you know? As years went on though, just as any other relationship, theirsseemed to have become this sort of “routine” as well. And we all know that feeling, don’twe? If not from our own experience, then from some of our friends’ experiencesat least? The feeling when the stomach butterflies die down, and the initialeuphoria just settles into a still?My take on it is that he really, REALLY tried a LOT to make it work, even afterit sort of started “crumbing down” for whatever reason. I feel like he feltsuper comfortable with her BECAUSE they’ve been together for so long. Maybe itbecame a sort of a routine for him too, but it was one he definitely sought toupkeep. Tom didn’t want to let go of her. Because ruining what he had with herwould mean “having to find someone new”. And “having to find someone new” wouldmean “having to open up to someone again” – something that isn’t all that easyfor him to do, for the already before mentioned reasons.Pretty sure we all know about some infidelity speculations being rumored tohave been going down between them as well, especially from her side. Andhonestly, that would explain a thing or two about how his behavior has changedin the time ever since they’ve officially broken up. I obviously do not knowthe specifics, but I’ll be damned if I don’t realize it takes two in order toa) form a relationship, but also b) in order to not fix it if it goes south.Doubtlessly, none of the two was a complete saint. And doubtlessly they bothhave their own character flaws. But though dubious in its legitimacy, hersupposed infidelity really ties well with what’s happening right now, in thismoment. Just think about it… Yet another massive betrayal. Another one of themassive disappointments he experienced along his life’s journey. This onecoming from someone he perhaps even considered to be his (other) life partner.Only now that we got the mere basics down can I finally start bringing upShermine, and the point of this entire conversation anyway: his “change” asbrought up with his dynamic with Heidi. Because I really think that in order toproperly understand why I think this Klum relationship is toxic, you firstneeded my quick review of “the entire story”.BACK TO THE POINT AT HAND NOW I don’t think the Shermine relationship was honestly all that different fromthe one Tom has with Heidi now. I can’t claim to know the reasons why itprobably “didn’t all work out with Sher” (besides the obvious fact that thiswas never a relationship in its full meaning of the word, but rather just whatpeople usually call “an affair”), but it might have been them just beingseparated by where they lived and what not – or maybe also Shermine seeing howmuch of a “child” Tom really was in certain regards. It’s not like she was thisperfect example of maturity either, mind you, having to constantly post hintsabout how she’s together with him and what not, but at the end of the day, Isort of feel she got more tired of HIS bullshit than vice versa. And by “hisbullshit” (again, not meant to be judging) I mean this strange passivity that has been surrounding him recently (examples and explanations coming up). If someone on twitter now points out how “unlikeTom it is to let Heidi post on social media about him,” another person then instantlyyells out saying “why do you care, if he apparently doesn’t care anymoreeither!”And to me, it is exactly THAT that is the concerning factor anyway.People are, in a strange way, right when they shout “Tom doesn’t care aboutbeing public anymore!” but they don’t look deep enough into it to see theproblem behind it. Yes, it’s true – if Tom wouldn’t want to be posted on socialmedia, then his old enough, almost 29 year old ass could’ve just told Heidi to NOTfucking do it. So yeah, you know what? Most probably, he’s NOT stopping her.But him “not being bothered to go against it” doesn’t mean he’s automaticallyokay with it. Those two are not mutually exclusive. What I see in his behavior right now - that is also something that’s seemingly been there forever since he’s been hooking up with Shermine too - is mindlessness, carelessnessand a complete disregard for what he used to stand for in regards to his “morals”.May I note that I can also see he has this sort of complete disregard abouthimself floating around as well? He appears to be very passive, and seems asthough he really just isn’t putting any thought into… well, pretty muchanything he’s doing… like ANYTHING, whatsoever. And yes, I realize that “people can change,” and that Tom too could’ve just aseasily had a spiritual awakening, and was suddenly like “you know what, I’m NOTgonna stress about being on social media that much anymore, and I’m NOT goingto stress about being in the press…”. But the thing is – these sorts of thingsdon’t just happen overnight. Especially not with the life he’s been leading andhow much it’s been fucking him up along the way at times. You don’t go fromwanting complete privacy because of your own very legitimate paranoia, to goingto an Amfar Whatever Gala event in front of millions of press to out yourrelationship, just like he did. You don’t go from avoiding cameras as much ashumanly possible to vacantly stare at a paparazzi’s Canon in the distance inorder to see if it’s getting the right shot of you and your new so calledgirlfriend. This sort of mental change CAN obviously happen. But overtime, and usually– dare I suggest? – with therapy (which we are bringing back up later). By myinterpretation of how he is as a person though, I don’t think this “transition”was something that happened in an exactly healthy way. More than seeing Tom as “careless but happy,” (as people paint him out to be), Iright now see him as being “careless and confused”. Numb, even. Out of placeAnd “out of place” is a phrase to describe him best when it comes to how helooks like as soon as Heidi’s around.VAGUELY EXPLAINED CAMP EXPERIENCE INSERTI’ve been there on this Camp, and the way he reacted to literally everything –people, his surroundings, most everything you can imagine – changed bizarrelyas soon as he knew she was around. It’s almost like he was being nearbypetrified. I have no idea why either. One would think that if you’re datingHeidi Klum, you’d want to show her off or something. Or at least be ascomfortable with her as on (play pretend or not) all those paparazzi photos that keep popping up. Especiallywhen literally NONE of the campers really cared for her presence there, so it wasn’t like he was afraid for her wellbeing or whatever. So no, no psycho had the intention to attack her, literally no one cared, but Tom still just turned into this… anxious little mess?Mind you, when I saw her arrive, my mind was also still open. I was like, “ya knowwhat, all of their other family and friends are being so lovely – Georg’s gf who justjoined in on the activities, and Gustav’s wife too, just supporting her hubbyand speaking to the fans… maybe Heidi’s going to prove everyone wrong and bereally lovely”. But honestly, from the moment she entered the Camping grounds, you couldFEEL the atmosphere drop.Never mind the fact that she was having a stare-down with many fans (includingmyself) for no apparent reason, which I still do not understand… From where Iwas sitting, she was making it very damn obvious she wanted to just “geteveryone’s attention”. Her glares were basically daring us “to go spread theword that she arrived”, and when we wouldn’t care (because surprise surprise,we weren’t there for her, so obviously no one really cared?) she would stare atus even weirder. But as I said, that in itself isn’t all that important. What Ineed to convey is how insanely uncomfortable TOM appeared to be when she wasaround.(As a side note, I also feel like we all kinda expected a huge ass party to godown on the last day of Camp, seeing how on the previous few days, the guyswould kinda leave at latest 2 in the morning – which made sense, becauseeveryone knew they were gonna have responsibilities the next day. But literallynothing was planned for Monday morning, and I felt like everyone was superpumped about the guys finally having an opportunity to party with us reallylong and really proper. Only, you know, that never really happened. And I daresay it was mainly because of Klum.)I digress, at some point of the evening after the firework finale, the twins actually came tothe counter in order to hang out with people (after they’ve left to refresh first, leaving people confused as to if they were even returning), and I thought “Yay, maybe they’ve actually joined us again to party like everyone kinda expected, so that’s great!”. But no suchluck. It was there exactly - at the counter - where the difference of how Tomis without her around VS when she IS around became so prominent. Only a nightearlier, the guys would stay behind the counter for AGES, just interacting,taking pictures, drinking, having a good time… on Sunday, they weren’t therefor even 10 minutes, before leaving towards a backstage area of sorts. I sawher being at the counter for a while as well, with literally no one botheringher whatsoever, but she eventually disappeared, initially making me think “Oh, maybeshe’ll just mingle with people, go chat up Georg’s GF or something… maybe thisevening is actually gonna be bomb!”. But her leaving simply resulted in Tom REPEATEDLYpressing Bill into “going to the backstage area”.Tom looked NOTHING like the night before. He was TRYING to interact with somefans, but was mostly just looking really out of place. It happened on at least3 separate occasions in those short ten minutes, that he would poke Bill atevery opportunity he got, just to press him into going to the stage area. Hekept on elbowing Bill whenever the other would turn around to get somethingfrom the fridge, pointing to the stage, looking vaguely lost, not really payingproper attention to his surroundings. Bill was visibly giving hints that he “wantedto just stay for a while longer,” even going as far as showing Tom his drink asthough he were to say “lemme at least finish this first?” until Tom eventuallyprevailed and they actually decided to move to where she was – to the infamousbackstage area. Again, I thought that maybe they had plans on going on stage to the DJs again(seeing how they did that on the nights before), maybe give one last propergoodbye to people before mingling in the crowd some further. But that neverhappened. Honestly, thinking back on it, it was kind of bizarre to think theyjust huddled up in the little space behind the stage. They wouldn’t even pull acurtain to have some sort of privacy – if you went behind the stage, you couldliterally just see them interact there, being all secluded from the rest of thepeople. More secluded than on the previous day when it was raining cats anddogs but they STILL made the effort to just hang around with all of us! The situation lefta bitter taste in my mouth, because at that point I KNEW that if she wasn’tthere, the party would have been so insanely different, so insanely cool. Ifelt bad for Bill, who was just longingly looking onto the stage, taking videosof it – he gave off the vibe that we wanted to go party, but (for some bizarrereason) “couldn’t”. It felt as though hedecided he would rather stick to the out-of-place-looking Tom, which Ihonestly, at the end of the day, can’t really blame him for.Not even half an hour later, the golf carts arrived to pick them up, and that washonestly so strange to observe too. Not even once in the whole entire weekend did Ihave a feeling of them rushing anywhere. Whenever the boys would arrive orleave with the carts, whenever they’d change locations, they would always honkand scream around, letting everyone know what they were up to, shooting people with water pistols if in range even. But suddenly then, the golf cart had topark backwards towards the stage in order for them to “have a clear and quickstart”. There was no honking, no proper goodbyes we were used to from theearlier days. They just kinda… drove off. And I know for a damn FACT that itwouldn’t have been like that if it wouldn’t be for her. I wish this would just be me – that this would just be a plot of my own damnimagination. Because I WISH she wasn’t a cunt, for Tom’s sake obviously. But Ihave talked to a bunch of people, and they have all had their separateexperiences, most of which only furthermore confirmed how I see the situation. Factsare these: 1. Heidi was there for the obvious reason of getting our (thefans’), as well as the media’s attention. 2. She was acting all high andmighty, as well as really possessive (even jealous at some moments, which is sosuper bizarre to think about), and it wasn’t a good look. 3. And I don’t knowwhy EXACTLY, but as soon as she was around, Tom ALWAYS sort of froze on spot.Look, I don’t know, maybe he’s just intrigued by that sort of dynamic and getsoff on it, and just doesn’t want to publically admit that he “likes herdemanding demeanor”. But yo, even if that was the case – at the end of the day thatdoesn’t make the whole relationship any less toxic. OKAY, TO THE CORE NOWShe has subtle manipulation tactics down to the T. I can tell, because I knowhow to use those in my advantage as well. And you’ve probably had this happento you too, mostly without even realizing it. It comes to the surface in a waywhere some parents make their kids feel bad for “not cleaning up the dishes”for example. Instead of demanding “it gets done because otherwise they’ll beconsequences”, some choose the more toxic approach of emotional manipulation,saying things like “don’t worry, it’s fine, what’s another hour more to my nineto five working schedule anyway?” It’s in the way that one friend of yours says“oh okay” without a smiley face when you cancel on going out with them. It’swhen something comes out of people’s mouths, and the meaning is dubious.Something that is meant to make you walk the line between “but is it reallyokay?” and “I feel uncomfortable that you feel uncomfortable, so let me help”. Her entire presence just screams that demeanor,and I don’t doubt I’m right in this. She probably even pulled something like that in that counter scenario I was talking about too, going like “oh you go hang out with fans, I’ll just be there… having my drink…” The question now remains if Tom is oblivious to these attitudes or not.Honestly, both yes and no seem like a legitimate answer to me in this case.Neither of the twins seem to really be capable of a good “evaluation” when itcomes to perception in regards to human character. They’re not short inadmitting that themselves either, and said it numerous times that this is whysongs like “Never let you down” happened to exist in the first place. But italso makes sense if we again tie it with the fact that they had a puberty muchunlike ours is. Meeting people was always sort of arranged in their world, so gettingto know someone spontaneously isn’t really an experience that’s been followingthem ever since they were socially capable of “making their own friends”. Can’tsay that that’s a concept that’s completely alien to them, having lived in theUSA for so long now and what not, but we also can’t say they have as many experiences withit as someone who had a “normal lifestyle” either.I’d say Tom is intelligent enough to realize what’s going on, but simply toonumb to do anything about it. What’s more, maybe he even enjoys this sort ofdynamic.“But why,” you might ask “would anyone enjoy this sort of manipulative dynamic?”Honestly, I feel what he likes about it is that someone’s taking away hisresponsibilities to himself. It basically feels as though you’re giving the reins to your insides into the possession of someone else - someone who you feel can makethe most out of them when you obviously couldn’t. And even if they couldn’t exactly “makethe best out of it” – Tom’s been steering himself for too long, only torepeatedly be faced with complete disappointment on the roads he’s taken. It’snot like he cares what happens anymore, as long as he gets to feel at leastsomewhat at peace. So why not let someone else “take his life into their ownhands”? Why not be the follower of someone who seems to not be bothered by literallyeverything he usually stands against? Someone who seemingly had more luck inlearning about how to cope with this reality that is “being famous and beingshat on”.My conclusion drawn from what I’ve experienced and heard is that she “keeps himon a short leash,” while simultaneously trying to boost her own importance andego as they go. From what I see, he is being very much so infatuated with her,but I wouldn’t dare calling that love by any means. Yet another heated affair,if anything. I think he really lost himself along the way of people fucking himup in his life (especially since the breakup he had with Ria), so he isn’treally thinking straight anymore at all. He’s just going with the flow, doingwhatever the fuck he wants to, fucking whoever the fuck he wants to, and hasthis little rebellious side of him tell him to “fuck the rest”.Which WOULD be a good thing – fuck the haters, imma do my thing and stuff… Onlyif he wouldn’t be doing it out of all the wrong reasons. Namely what seems tobe a desperate attempt and need to just “change himself for the better” because“he isn’t a weak ass motherfucker”.I feel like he has quite some problems with the concept of vulnerability. He has this sort of a persona built up which he strives to be, but really isn’t– basically a sort of an alpha male persona – and right now, he’s probably sofar off in his head, that he just wants to desperately fit this picture perfectimage of himself, no matter how many broken pieces are waiting for him to berepaired on the inside. He wants to prove that “he’s better and stronger” tohimself, as well as to everyone around him. He’s ignoring his issues, pushingthem aside, thinking that “ignoring” his problems is better than to face them,“because after all, facing them only ever brought him pain and anguish anyway”…But holdingthings inside like that, suppressing all the negatives by all means necessary…I think most people realize how bad this can get – a person turning into aliving ticking time bomb that can be triggered into an explosion at any time. Hemight be feeling happy now, in this moment of bliss he’s created for himself,just ignoring everything that’s been eating away at him from the inside, neverletting it surface. But you can only keep your demons at bay for so long,before they come haunting you again, with even more vigor.Prolonging the inevitable in this way is pretty much the most horrible idea onthe long run you can have. But Tom isn’t thinking on the long run. He’s thinking “peaceof mind, now, or I’m gonna lose it”.I don’t know what it is that triggered this “obsession to be okay”. Maybe hewants to be spiteful to Ria. Maybe he wants to prove to her “how much betteroff he can be without her” and “what a changed and open man he has become”.Maybe it’s not even Ria. Maybe he just can’t deal with being without SOME sortof a sexual partner, because it makes him feel like a failure. Maybe he cravesa sort of intimacy he used to have, but is now gone, so he fills his time withwhat he thinks is “second best”. Who knows. It could be a number of things, andmany more than I can probably never even think of.At the end of the line, my personal perception of what he’s doing is that it’s –and I’ve repeated myself in this wordall too many times now – toxic. No matter the reason why he’s doing it. I thinkhe would be better off alone for a while, and, if not getting therapy, at leastletting himself have some breathing space, and just give himself a second toheal from whatever is gnawling at him. Heal from whatever seems to be “pushinghim” from the inside to be this perfect ideal self he so desperately seems towant to be. AND BEFORE I FINISHLet us just quickly dive into this one last important element of this dynamic –namely where Bill comes in, and how it all comes together at the end of the day. If we assume I am at least vaguely correct in my interpretationof things, it’s obvious that there’s no way in hell that Bill would be blind to somethingnot being entirely as it “should be” with Tom. Clearly if even we as fans can perceiveTom as being out of character, how on earth would then his twin miss it?Doubtlessly, no matter the partnership any of the two had/have with anotherperson, it will always affect BOTH twins in one way or another.So how do we explain this undying enthusiasm Bill seems to be sprouting everytime Heidi posts yet another picture of Tom on her social media.Well, there’s a few rough possibilities I see here.1. First would of course be realizing that social media is meant to feed uscontent that isn’t always the exact representation of how the reality is. Just trying to get to know Essie better, ignore me! Will add more later.

1. Does s/he enjoy puzzles?

Not particularly. Even given nothing to do, Essie would probably prefer much anything else.

2. Does s/he enjoy education?

I don’t even know if she had a real education. I’m sure she learned more on her own means. I think she’s pretty neutral on learning. It helps better you but she doesn’t see it as fun but neither does she see it as terrible.

3. What is his/her sexual orientation?

Pansexual Panromantic.

4. Is s/he right-handed, left-handed, or ambidextrous?

Right-handed but ambidextrous casting spells cuz, well, ya almost gotta be..

5. Is s/he fashionable?

Essie don’t give a fuck. She wears what she likes, or wears what is suitable to the weather, or wears shit just to piss people off. So probably not.

6. What is their favorite food(s)?

Okay, here goes: smoked salmon on a bed of greens, herb roast pheasant, venison steak cooked rare to med-rare with roasted potatoes, garlic clam soup, mushroom and leek stew, berry tarts with mint, stuffed trout, pickled duck eggs, sharp cheeses, sunflower seeds, almonds, honeycakes, and she has a preference for drinking spiced ale, orchid wines, and elven made wines that are sweeter and aromatic. I can also see her having a taste for tea, particularly with honey, and sweet or spiced ciders. Maybe some hard spirits in a group atmosphere.

7. Has s/he ever broken a bone?

Nope, not yet at least.

8. Any interests or hobbies?

She enjoys magic, even using it to make kids happy. She enjoys dancing, secretly. Gambling maybe, uh... going on adventures obviously. Will add more if I think of it; she’s lived a life of survival so she probably doesn’t hide many hobbies.

9. Does s/he consider themself organized?

lmao no and she knows that. Ms. Throw-It-All-In-The-Bag.

10. How does s/he handle feeling nauseous?

No food, only liquids. Try laying down. If it doesn’t stop after a while, try walking around slowly in hopes to agitate self enough to just hurl.

Essätha Medüza - the last name is a kick on Medusa from mythology.

She’s a wanna-be-extro. Doesn’t trust others well, but has a desire to fit in and hang with others. At the moment she’s honestly more intro by nature though.

Probably okay. Still prone to burning food from time to time lol whoops. But for the most part it’ll be edible, probably just not super tasty.

14. Did s/he have any friends growing up?

Yes! I plan on doing art for some of ‘em eventually.

15. How does s/he react to storms? Being caught in the storm?

Essie likes a good rainfall. Probably doesn’t mind being caught in them, even ‘bad’ storms, so long as it isn’t snow. Too damn cold.

Nope. Maybe scars. //bricked// Nah because of her lifestyle, she’s not one to gather trinkets or stuff. Necessities and useful stuff only really.

lol nope. Doesn’t care for gods or religion or any of that junk.

I don’t know... uh, music for dancing. Sunsets and sunrises. The idea that life can get better. Transformation/growing.

Maybe her mom, despite not knowing her. Eventually I’m sure she’ll see some of her fellow team members in this way.

Probably secretly snake puns. Examples: “let me give you a hiss”, “viper that smirk off your face”, “I’ll snake some puns in there”, etc.

Opal: (kind stranger) Orange furry cat woman. Seems to follow her own moral code of good which is pure and generous. Pretty kind.

Kraw: (teacher) Bird man of tans, reds, and dark browns/blacks. Grumpy but has a good heart. May try eating you if you’re an animal or can turn into an animal but otherwise nice. Drinker but a sad drinker when he does.

Solace: (ally/best friend) Outgoing, bubbly, considerate reddish-pink tiefling with obsidian eyes and violet blue-toned hair. She’s a rebel but is caring despite her dicey past. Essie considers her a better person than herself.

Phoenix: (aquitaine) Lady crazypants. Charcoal skin with scar-like markings that glow like lava flow when she’s using her powers. Fiery colored eyes and hair. Very much gives a masculine vibe. Will kill you with no regrets. Something’s wrong with her but she is willing to work with others for her own gain which is relatable.

Bretella: (frienemy) Considered a trustworthy ally. Green skinned redhead with golden eyes. Tends to weary flashy or seductive clothing. Will bail you out of a situation but patronize you later. High self-esteem.

Miz'ri: (enemy) A lost friend. Light grey skin, white hair, pale lilac eyes. Essie wishes that the millions of things that went wrong between them hadn’t. She hopes there’s still godo to be found in Miz’ri. A sad, broken soul.

Hepsiba: (mother) Truly the most beautiful person in existence. Warm, loving, considerate, gentle, sweet, gorgeous. Hepsiba is gone now, but her memory is still a vibrant light of warmth. Essie probably looks to the stars and likes to think her mom is up there, staring down at her. Mom was an auburn-skinned beauty with brown eyes.

Tyfiell: (father) Never met him. Mom spoke well of him, but Essie doesn’t think well of someone who ditched her mom. Said to be a dark-skinned Yuan-Ti Pureblood with dark eyes and a wicked smile. Rogue class.

22. How would s/he describe themself?

LOL nothing good unfortunately... She thinks she’s physically ugly due to how she was treated by others when she was young. She doesn’t find redeemable qualities in herself too much, either. Resident snake lady would probably say “I don’t got time for this” if asked. “I’m a scaly Yuan-Ti woman, hi.”

23. What is his/her birthday? Star sign? Do they fit it?

April 12, which would make their zodiac the Aries. It sounds semi fitting, as they’re labeled as ‘courageous, confident, short-tempered, and impulsive’ but like anything else, there’s some manners that aren’t perfectly fitting (optimistic, aggressive, etc).

24. How good is s/he at mending clothes?

She doesn’t know the Mending ability lol! Kidding aside, I don’t believe it’s her hobby or anything. I mean, if you look at some of her clothes, they’ve got tears and threads pulled free. Probably not.

25. How does s/he react to someone spilling something on them?

Depends on the atmosphere? 90% of the time she’ll realize it’s an accident, jump when it happens, and then request the server or whomever fetch something to help clean up the mess- not impolitely just with some urgency in her tone. She’d probably only have a .1% chance going off an the server because hey, shit happens, but if she’s in a bad mood already she may snap at anyone around she’s unhappy with at the moment.

26. How does s/he react to being approached by law enforcement?

‘Oh shit time to run they’re probably after me’ is her thought processing.

27. Do they paint/draw?

Nah, not really her cup of tea.

28. Does s/he prefer any musical instruments?

Essie can’t play, but she probably enjoys winds and strings for daily life, but the occasionally ‘sick beat’ of a big band of instruments to dance to would be A+.

Admittedly, Essatha enjoys hoarding funds. As someone who grew up with little, she’s a bit of a hoarder and is very unlikely to misplace even a copper piece. If she splurges, she’s likely drunk or enjoying a ‘luxury’ she didn’t have much as a child (ex: tarts), or items useful for survival, combat, friends, etc.

31. 3-5 random pieces of trivia about them that doesn’t come up often?

Essie loves music; especially pieces with a soft melody. She grew a garden once. Lastly she has had no real schooling; she’s mostly self-taught or listened in on others or hired other’s to teach her. This might be one of the reasons why she’s a bit of a slow reader.

32. Does s/he prefer dawn or dusk?

She feels more ‘lively’ during dawn but enjoys dusk for the twilight glow, the stars, etc. So both with maybe a slight preference for dusk.

All the blushing. So much blushing. Open-mouthed like ‘uhh??’ If she doesn’t return the feelings, she’ll probably be really embarrassed. Stuttering as she tries the ‘it’s not you, it’s me’. Unless it’s not someone she’s close with, in which case, she’d use their ‘crush’ to her advantage. If it’s someone she has a crush on as well, she’ll blush and look away. Be shy. You’d probably need to convince her to speak or look at you again cuz she’d be like ‘?! they like me? me???’

Desserts, rain, the outdoors (especially earthy scents).

With ‘starter’: Serperior, Weavile, Houndoom, Phantump, Dragalge, Togetic.

She can’t sing well but that won’t stop her when she has the urge. Obviously she can act, or she wouldn’t play people so well lol.

Yes she drinks, no she doesn’t do drugs (unless medicines in the d&d count? I don’t know what sort of drugs they have), no she doesn’t smoke.

Yeah actually! She wants kids to have a happy youth, unlike what she had, so she’s willing to do things to entertain and help kiddos. If a kid cons her, she’d try to even hunt them down purely to see if there’s any way she could help them.

Depends. Either antisocial or exceptional flirt depending on what’s going on to the average person.

Yeah, she thinks there’s an afterlife. What it entails, she doesn’t dare imagine.

Clothing wise: revealing/sexy. Personal taste: nature, stars, anything that’s just lulling, tranquil, natural to the world...

Willing to fight a ghost. Probably be spooked at first, but after the first encounter with these sort of creations, she’d probably be okay. Just that first time... “woah let’s punch this ghost” half damage “holy shit you can punch a ghost? Cool. Also magic time becuz wow that didn’t do shit”.

Judging by conversations with Heather, she’d be hecka frustrated. What are feelings. I don’t know what this is. Why do I care about you so much please explain this to me? And once she figures out that it’s love she’s feeling... that explains the confusion, the butterflies in her stomach, the awkward shyness even she couldn’t explain when she reacted to them being nice but... I must now blush... and hide my face...

Time to unbored herself by doing something. Hunting, pestering others, flirting, gambling, anything but sitting there jiggin her leg if she can help it. Restlessness doesn’t fit her.

Essie would probably really like Tiana for her go-getter attitude. She probably feels most like Rapunzel, locked away from the world and badly treated by her ‘caretaker(s)’ (the city she grew up in) but now she’s free and adventuring and seeking her own trues and fulfilling her curiosities. Who she’d probably most aspire to be I guess would be Moana (not qualified as a Disney princess yet, but admirable all the same. Moana went on an adventure, conquered it, found herself, defeated the big bad, etc) or Merida (they share like-characteristics, and Merida didn’t need a man to complete her, though family/friends it reveals are important).

1. What influenced or inspired the creation of this character?

First d&d campaign. Kept getting stuck between a handful of races. Finally got down to 4, then 3, then 2. Had to wait and see if Ammy would approve Yuan-Ti Purebloods. Got approved. Suddenly whAM - inspiration. Didn’t want a flat typical ‘evil’ Yuan-Ti. Her background was helpfully inspired by the one I picked- Urchin. I just continued adding tragedy because I’m an asshole.

2. What is your character’s relationship with their family? Family is a word which here refers to biological relatives, close companions, and/or the individual(s) who raised them.

Essie’s only known family was her mother. She was very close with her, sadly, her mom passed when she was young, probably 3-4ish. She never knew her dad. Her relationship with chosen family is positive. Details on ‘chosen’ family will be thought up further later, as I’m confident she’ll come to consider her traveling companions like family.

3. Who is the closest person to them?

Her mum (deceased), and eventually probably Sul and the group. I feel she’ll particularly enjoy Cackle and Adela but we’ll see~

Harsh livin of survival all her life yo. Fighting for food, stealing to get by, learning how to use and deceive people to get things she needed and then eventually, things she wanted.

KP watches MH: Ghoul Squad Holiday Edition

ok let me preface this by saying that i have not watched any of the Ghoul Squad webisodes, so i cannot comment about whether this is just the webisodes strung together or not. it looks to be the same style of animation (one of the reasons i haven’t watched the webisodes), but seeing as Fright On was the original webisode style and not webisodes strung together, doesn’t necessarily mean anything. i will also note that i’ve only seen WtMH, and not Electrified, so i might make comments about things they reference that have been establish, but i don’t know about (again, i’m not a fan of the reboot narrative, but i’m not watching this to just complain about it)

i actually do like the interactions between Deena and her Mom. it’s sort of riddled with cliched cheesy tropes, sure, but it’s nice. stating all the wolf pups are boys though is head scratching since we’ve got Alivia and Fangelica, but hat means no Pawla? does Dad Wolf have Clawd, Howleen, Pawla, Wereideth (and Packlyn) or something?

that’s not Barker! Barker’s blonde with teal streaks, not...neon pink hair??? and there’s one with neon teal hair?? and there’s real Barker with fake Barker?? i...these wolf pups confuse me so much...why have Barker’s doll counterpart in there is you don’t call him such?

so...overall...yeah it’s reboot fodder. i still don’t really like the reboot narrative as a whole. but there were a few pieces that i did genuinely enjoy. if the writing and animation tried harder, it could be a whole lot better...yet at the same time i recognize that it could be a whole lot worse. if you love the reboot, i’m happy for you, but yeah still not really my cup of tea.

guys I have such a great Battle of The Bands!AU for Voltron/Klance and I’m working on this alongside my criminal minds/Voltron Crimues Unit!AU so here are some hc from it

* So in most Klance!AU fics/AUs it’s Keith who’s the last to guy of is reluctant but what if Lance was the last one * Okay, so here’s some background info before we get into The Story

* Everyone’s Role * Pidge * She’s crazy on the keyboard and she has some crazy upgrades to their tech * Hunk * Hunk is an amazing second guitarist and an amazing groupie for the rest of the band * He loves to go alongside the base and keep the foundation of the song steady * He’s not int crazy solos and stuff, unlike someone * Allura * This girl is the singer of the band, she could play instruments but decided her favorite was her voice and her words * She writes the bands songs as well does crazy covers * She also helps manage the band with Coran * She used to be a duo with her brother before he decided he wasn’t going to play for people anymore, hence why she created the band at her school * She missed the music and the connection, mainly the connection with her brother, who is so distant and different than before * Coran * He is the manager of the band * He is in charge of getting them gigs and gets them into BOTB and is just amazing * He is also like their weird uncle but when lance joins, he is like SON? * Shiro * The unofficial co-leader with allure to the band * He plays the bass and is the actual foundation and leader of the group * She’s been in love with Allura since day one but he think she looks at him like a friend but girl has been planning their wedding since the second band practice together * Keith’s older brother and best friend * Keith!! * Keith is the drummer of the group * He loves to go crazy on them * He considers it the best therapy * He takes the band vey seriously and doesn’t understand the really pretty boy that joins the team and is so cocky but also quiet?? * Lance confuses him a lot and it makes him very frustrated * Lance * Lance plays the lead guitar * Unlike hunk, he loves solos and crazy tricks and stuff * Lance has a hard time expressing his feelings beyond his happy semi-cocky personality * But with the guitar he can be open and express his happiness and pain and anger * he used to love to perform, but seemingly suddenly, decides against doing it ever again until circumstances * Lance and Keith both went to Garrison College before Keith transferred a year before the story starts * He just didn’t like it and he’s brother was going to another school so Keith decided to switch * While at the garrison, both Keith and lance had a feud over the “best” rehearsal room and would always fight to get it * when Keith leaves, even though they faded, Lance feels sad bc that was the only person he really interacted * He really struggled at the garrison and didn’t have any friends beside his feud * Randomly, in the middle of the year a (the year after Keith leaves) Lance suddenly drops out without a word * The next school year, Lance’s sister, Allure (you prob figured it out already lol) pulled some strings so that her brother could join her at Altea University * Still, he refuses to go to Allura’s band practices or gigs and won’t play with her * He still had no friends and is even more closed off and guarded than before * Until one day, he was using one of the rehearsal rooms at Altea and is found by Pidge, Shiro, and Hunk * They pretty much beg him to join their band and he refuses * They then ask him to at least come to their practice the next night * He reluctantly agrees, because friends? He doesn’t really know * He does know that he misses the music and connection as much as Allure does * At this point, no one knows Allura has a brother bc it’s a touchy subject bc of everything between them * So when he shows up at HER practice she is like OMG HE CAME!!! IM GETTING THROUGH * And then Shiro is like oh you came awesome * And Alluras like what? * And they’re like this is the guy we told you about * And she’s like are u kidding I’ve been asking you for months to come and three random dude ask once and you actually come!!! * And he’s like uh yeah? * And she is like god I would have done that months ago then * So then he sees Keith and he’s #triggered * And he like oh my god it’s the mullet! * And Keith is like, do I know you???and lance gets all pissed bc seriously the only person he considered a friend?? Person?? In his life at garrison doesn’t even remember him?? * Anyway he ends up getting super into the band and at the last second decides to join in and plays * And THEN Keith remembers bc god this kid is amazing and he knows it oh my * by the end of practice, lance decides to join and everyone is so excited (Even Keith who wont admit it) * And after that, the team latches on to lance and he’s so confused bc yeah he’s pretty good on his guitar but why are they interested in him? * Anyway time goes in and it’s time for their first kid with Lance and he is freaking out * Like having a panic attack and is like “OMG OMG OMG I CANT DO IT OCANT “ and no one knows where he is and Keith gets pissed * So he goes and find lance * Except lance is sitting with his knees to his chest in a janitor closet that Keith happened to walk past and he’s hyperventilating and crying so hard and Keith is like oh fuck * And lance is only half aware but he expects Keith to lash out at him * But Keith is so gentle and tender and helps him through it * And after he calms down, he talks to him about things and convinces him to join them * And the concert is amazing!!! He has so much fun and him and Keith play off each other with solos and the whole band is like omg what is happening * And after the concert, lance and Keith are friends?? * No more like best friends * They are always together and they’re not hostile anymore, all bickering is playful and allure can see her brother being flirty!! * And she just so happy and she’s finally having that Connection again and she’s so happy * They have more gigs and things are going great, they find out they qualified for the battle of the bands and their all so happy and excited * Everything seems to be going perfectly * But off something had to happen * Something in lances life couldn’t stay good * So after a concert, they decided to stay a bit bc the bar is chill with it * So they’re all hanging out and having a great time * Lance has to pee and goes to the bathroom and things are good until he leaves the bathroom and sees the last person he wants to see EVER * Motor is standing there, the biggest, coldest smirk on his face and lance can feel all the tan color in his cheeks flee * And lotor is a complete asshole * Saying how his own band, the empire, from Galra university is in the battle of the bands and Voltron doesn’t stand a chance * And to make it worse, he just verbally/mentally/emotionally degrades lance to the point where he becomes hysterical and sobbing and gasping for breath and shaking * And lotor says how he ruins voltron and no one needs him and he ruins everything and this isn; the first time * Lance comes back to the group like this and everyone is like WTF WHAT HAPPENED WTF and he’s literally pulling them begging to leave and they’re like okay okay just give us a second and then Allura sees him * She sees Lotor walking away from where lance came from and she freaks out * Shiro has to physically hold her back and she is screaming and Lotor just laughs and pays them no mind because he has already caused the rift, planted the seed * This only makes Lance more upset and he just grabs Keith in a death grip and is like please please please I want to go home please I just need to go home * So Keith is like oh my god okay and just takes lance back to his and Alluras house bc he didn’t drink (neither did lance) * And he stays until lance is changed and in bed and he thinks that he should leave so lance isn’t uncomfortable but lance asks him to stay and he gets into bed with Lance bc he can’t say no to him he loves him * And yea he’s known it but he hasn’t said anything and he can’t * He couldn’t do anything to hurt this beautiful amazing boy * Little does he know that lance has been falling since he helped him in that janitor closet and he wishes that someone like Keith loved him * And Keith just holds him, their face to face and Keith is rubbing his back so softly and lance wants to kiss him so bad * But he can’t * Not without him knowing the entire story of what happened last year and how he even knows Lotor * And Keith just listens and waits for lance to finish and the whole time she is holding him so softly but firm all the same and it feeling grounds lance and helps him get through it * And when he’s done Keith wants to kill motor bc how could anyone do that to Lance?? * and Keith gives this whole speech without thinking * About how amazing lance is and exactly why and how lance deserves so much better and all the loving shit * And lance is just amazed bc no one has said that to him * And now here is Keith saying it!!! * And is just realizes that he has to kiss Keith * He has to bc he has done so much for him and he just loves him so much that thanks isn’t enough to convey how much he is thankful and loves Keith * So, with they’re laying in his bed, with Keith rubbing circles on his back and looking at him like he was the sun and the moon, he kisses Keith

I know there is a ton here and there is a ton that isn’t said so look at for the fic later! Gave out so much more than I tought but I am happy. I love this AU so much!

Also the street light outside my house is about to go out so it's buzzing and flickering a lot, so it's very Silent Hill outside and that's partially keeping me awake. 6. Birthday? - Born in '93! Go 90's kids! 7. Favorite bands? - Oh lord, so many. Um, top bands currently would have to be Panic! At the Disco, Ludo, Motion City Soundtrack. Instruments? - Zero! I am musically challenged! Plus in elementary school they made us take violin lessons in like 3rdish grade which I HATED. I took that as I my sign I was not meant to play music, and had such bad anxiety any time I went to touch any instrument after I never chose to play one in middle school. I would definitely learn Cello if I could go back and redo everything. Maybe I'll learn after I retire? 24. What am I wearing? - PJ's! Tonight those are black shorts and a very old purple cami that has some how survived 3 dryers that have destroyed all the new cami's I've ever gotten. 25. How many blankets I sleep with? - 1 if it's summer and it has to be light. 2 or a heavy comforter if its winter. My guy is a very warm sleeper so I usually end up kicking on and off however many we have on anyway lol. 26. Dream job? - I would love to a professional artist and have my work displayed in gallery's, or a writer and publish novels. In reality I'll just be happy with something that lets me have a good balance between work and family/friends, and makes enough that I'm not constantly checking my bank account. Yay poor college kid woes lol. Part time was definitely worth the 6 years its taken, but I'm so ready to be done lol. 27. Dream trip? - I would love to go back to Japan and explore the northern half of the country more. I went in high school and mainly was in Okinawa, and the big cities like Kyoto and Tokyo. It would be so cool to see Mt. Fuji in person. 28. Favorite food? - Give me all the carbs and sodium; pizza, pasta (especially Alfredo), tacos, cheese (I fucking love cheese. It's amazing) and Chinese food. All your stereotypically shitty college foods lol. 29. Nationality? - American. 30. Favorite song now? - hmmm... I've been listening to "Na na na na na na na" by My Chemical Romance a lot recently, but it's not a current song. A more current song I've really been enjoying is "Square Hammer" by Ghost. Wedding Headcanons

Apollon/Tsukito: *The proposal wasn't overly extravagant. Apollon asked while moon-gazing with Tsukito. Turns out Tsukito also meant to ask at the same time *The ring Apollon gives to Tsukito is gold, with designs of laurel branches engraved all around. The one Tsukito gives to Apollon is silver with the phases of the moon all around it. *Akira organizes the whole event with iron fist. *Takeru is the best man. *Akira spends the few months before kissing Tsukito's ass because he wants to be the maid of honor. Tsukito picks Yui instead. *Akira tries his damned hardest to get Tsukito into one of his expensive kimonos, but Tsukito instead settles for the traditional Japanese wedding garb. *Meanwhile, Melissa pours his heart and soul into making a dashing suit for Apollon. *Hades officiates the marriage. *They get married at the Kusanagi shrine, under the cherry blossoms. *Usamaro is the ring bearer. He has the rings attached to his collar *Apollon dead ass almost cries when he sees Tsukito walking down the aisle. *Takeru catches the bouquet. He wasn't trying to. It just landed in his hands. It doesn't help that his immediate reaction is to side-eye Hades. *Wedding cake is three tiered, with a pink to white gradient, decorated with cherry blossoms. It's probably fucking funfetti on the inside, because Apollon is an actual child. *Wedding song: All About Us by He Is We *Dionysus provides booze. Everyone gets shitfaced and let loose pretty quickly. *Loki pole dances at the reception. Everyone tries to stop him. They fail.

Hades/Takeru: *Hades had a spectacular proposal planned, with an aquarium date and everything but his misfortune said lol no and made it rain while they were on the way. He ended just giving Takeru the ring in the end. Takeru was so shocked and embarrassed, so he didn't know how to respond. He just took the ring. He gave Hades an indirect answer when he started wearing it a few days later. *Both rings are matching silver bands, Hades' is embedded with a garnet, while Takeru's has an aquamarine *They get married by the sea, under the stars. *The arch they're under is decorated with string lights to mimic stars *Thoth officiates the wedding. He didn't want to, but they talked him into it in the end. *Takeru also wears the traditional Japanese wedding outfit. Hades was dressed in his best robes and jewelry. Which felt kinda weird because everybody else was wearing suits, but oh well. *Tsukito acts as the best man and Akira escorts Takeru down the aisle. *Cerberus is the ring-bearer *Takeru is straight up sobbing during the whole ceremony. Can barely manage to say "I do" *When Takeru throws the bouquet, Loki shoves everybody out of the way to catch it because he's thirsty as hell for Balder. *Apollon plays the piano during the ceremony. He is also the DJ at the reception. *Wedding cake is two tiered. One layer has a white to blue gradient, decorated with chocolate seashells and pearls. The other is decorated to resemble a galaxy. Inside is a regular sponge cake with whipped cream filling and fresh strawberries in between. *Wedding song: Photograph by Ed Sheeran *Again, Dionysus brought his best wine as a gift. *Loki pole dances again. Hades and Takeru regret inviting him

Loki/Balder: *Loki is so fucking extra so he goes all out. First he took Balder out for Korean BBQ, then took him out to a secluded area of the park. Balder thought this was gonna be a casual date until fireworks started going off. Next thing he knew, Loki was ripping off his pants, revealing glittery gold booty shorts with "Will you marry me?" written across his ass. Cue twerking. *In that moment, Balder questions all his life choices and why he's dating this man, but ultimately says yes *The proposal goes viral on the internet. Courtesy of Anubis. *Matching rings made of that pretty rainbow metal *Winter wedding under the northern lights *Balder wears a white tuxedo. Meanwhile, Loki's extra ass wears a neon pink suit. Honestly, who dressed this kid? *Thor officiates the wedding. It would probably be something along the lines of "Friends, we have gathered here today to FINALLY unite these two little shits." in complete and utter deadpan *Loki constantly feels the need to remind everyone that Balder is his husband now, especially to the other Norse gods that hate him. It's the biggest "fuck you" to the gods that mistreated him all his life. *The reception is a viking feast. Shit escalated really quick. *Dionysus gladly provides booze. Apollon provides music. *Their wedding cake wasn't even a cake. It was just a pile of meat made to look like a cake. *Their wedding song: If My Heart Was a House by Owl City *"I'm gonna get on the pole" "Loki please, not at our wedding." "Too late lol." *Everyone passes the fuck out until the next morning

DIMLIM’s GEKIROCK interview - English translation

DIMLIM is the new band of former D.I.D. member Issei, and former Deviloof member, Ryuya. Although the full-fledged start hasn't come yet, the music video for Awarewata, which was published along with the band’s information on April 2nd, has already reached 140,000 views. While they are getting ready for their starting oneman live on June 3rd, which is also the release day of their live-limited mini album, VARIOUS, Gekirock interviewed the members of DIMLIM, the band that's gaining more and more attention from both overseas and Japan.

－ Please tell us about DIMLIM's background. Did the band form around former D.I.D. member, Issei, and former Deviloof member, Ryuya as the core?

Issei: No, that's not how it went. Retsu was the support guitarist for D.I.D. Through the members’ introduction came Sho, then since Retsu and Ryuya were friends, I was like, “feel free to invite him.” A long time passed after that and Tsubasa joined finally.

－ Since you have a djent/metalcore/progressive sound with prominent technical parts, when you searched for the members did you emphasize on their skills?

Issei: Not really. (lol) I was like, “we will make it work somehow”.

－ Do you have a leader in the band?

Issei: We haven't decided on anyone.

Tsubasa: We haven't decided, but Issei has kind of a leader presence.

Issei: More like boss. (lol)

－Who is the main composer, who puts the songs together?

Issei: That's me.

－ D.I.D. also had and electronic sound to it, are you following the same path?

Issei: Yeah, I took a lot from D.I.D.

－ What software do you use?

Issei: Pro Tools.

－ Sho, Tsubasa what were you doing before joining DIMLIM?

Tsubasa: I was in a different visual kei band. I wasn’t playing the type of music I wanted to, also I couldn’t feel the enthusiasm in the members beside the drummer, so he and I departed. At that time I met these members by chance, and since it was the type of music I wanted to make, also everyone around me was motivated plus I liked D.I.D. too. I was drawn to this band, I had to join.

Sho: I’ve never been in a band before. DIMLIM is my first band.

－ It’s surprising. Your vocalization is versatile and skillful. This is our first interview so I’m going to ask you about your musical backgrounds. Sho, what kind of music have you been listening to?

Sho: When I was a kid, I listened to female singers, like Kohmi Hirose or Maki Ohguro but then around middle school I started listening to DIR EN GREY and I’ve been into them ever since.

－ So you got influenced by Kyo from DIR EN GREY?

Sho: Yes. I’ve always tried to copy him. I would really like Kyo to see us live.

－ How did you practice before joining DIMLIM?

Sho: I practiced in the bath all the time. (lol)

－ Ryuya, last time we did an interview (2016 August issue) you listed bands like PERIPHERY, MEMPHIS MAY FIRE as your favourites, right?

Ryuya: If we are talking about bands from overseas, yes. As for Japanese bands, I love lynch. In my student years, I used to play in an emocore/screamo band so I like bands like TAKEN too. Beside these, I listen to a lot of minor heavy bands that none of the members listen to from both overseas and Japan. It’s hard to explain, but I also listen to the type of music that’s played in live houses between performances. Like XXYYXX.

－ What about you, Retsu?

Retsu: My dad was really into music, so influenced by him, in my elementary school years, I was listening to stuff like BACKSTREET BOYS, HOOBASTANK, BON JOVI. Although I was just getting a taste of them occasionally I did listen to these artists. In middle school, I got into the GazettE, and from there I was obsessed with them. RUKI is a god. Still in middle school, at that time I thought the GazettE was the most intense band on the world but then I came across BRING ME THE HORIZON and I was like “Holy shit”. From there I got into more western hardcore bands. I really like ERRA and PERIPHERY. However, the band that influenced me the most is the GazettE. I want to listen to them even when I die.

－ Have you listened to BALLAD BEST ALBUM TRACES Vol.2 that they released recently (2017 March)?

Retsu: Of course, I bought it. It’s AMAZING. I couldn’t bear listening to only previews on YouTube, so I found myself getting an iTunes card and I ended up buying all the songs……(lol)

－ It’s a great album. What about you, Tsubasa?

Tsubasa: Originally I liked game music. By people like Nobuo Uematsu or Motoi Sakuraba. Uematsu worked on the Final Fantasy series, Sakuraba worked on Baten Kaitos. In elementary school, I listened to a lot of music from games and from that I moved on to anime songs and vocaloid. After that from middle school, I started playing instruments as a hobby, therefore I started listening to X JAPAN, and it’s still my favourite band.

－ Although you’ve been chasing behind in generations, you knew about X.

Tsubasa: Yeah. It’s because it’s not about generations. (lol) TAIJI is my favourite bassist, so I checked his musical roots. Although I’m playing in a band like this, when it comes to hardcore music, I listen to PERIPHERY and POLYPHIA etc. but I’m not too familiar with them. I would say there are a lot of hard rock, heavy metal and punk bands from the 80s and 90s that I listen to. From around middle school, I did covers of bakateku (technical) bands like DREAM THEATER, Mr.BIG, LOUDNESS, X etc. and thanks to that, I think I managed to catch up with the technical parts. I got obsessed with visual kei along the way. There’s only a few bandmen in the scene who like visual kei, but I actually do. Even bands that I play with at events, if I like their music I will check them out on YouTube.

－ Is there a visual kei band you particularly like lately?

Tsubasa: I like MORRIGAN. They are great and we will play with them so I’m looking forward to that.

－ When it comes to extremely intense bands, NOCTURNAL BLOODLUST represents visual kei. What do you think about them?

Tsubasa: I think they are awesome. I would like to surpass them whatever it takes.

－ I see. What about you, Issei?

Issei: At first my mom liked a pianist called Richard Clayderman, so I thought “I wanna go see him live” and so I went to my first concert. Though I slept through it. (lol) Then, my mom had DAHLIA (released in 1996, 4th album) by X JAPAN, maybe I just liked the piano but I occasionally listened to that CD. After that I got into DIR EN GREY and wanted to be in a band.

－ Richard Clayderman? Did you learn how to play the piano?

Issei: I was taught when I was little, but after like 3 years, I started whining because it was too painful and I quit. Now, I can’t even play “Neko funjatta”. (lol)

－ Is it you who comes up with the riffs too?

Issei: I do make something that would become the foundation, but I think it’s better if a guitarist does the arrangement so I leave that to them.

－ Next, I would like to ask you about the 3 songs you released from the mini album, VARIOUS. First of all, what’s the tuning?

Issei: It’s drop G# on a 7 string guitar. It was like this even in D.I.D. so we thought we are gonna keep that.

－ In Aharewata (track 1) at the end of the interlude, the guitar chords change considerably, right? Isn’t that hard to play?

Ryuya: To be fair, this song is full of difficult parts. (lol)

Tsubasa: In Aharewata, the bass line is full of unisons as well, like in the verse that “diririririri” part is unison too, so it makes you think “what the hell?!” (lol)

－ I think often in loud rock or metal, the bass gets buried under all the down tunings, but with DIMLIM, the bass actually stands out, there are a lot of striking parts and it’s really cool in my opinion.

Tsubasa: Indeed, if we compare it to other heavy bands, maybe we emphasize more on the bass. X JAPAN too, made the bass stand out in their music.

－ Please tell me about the lyrics for Aharewata which also has a music video on YouTube.

Sho: All throughout this album, the main topic of the lyrics is “about love”. Self-love, love towards partners, love towards parents….. I would like to write about various kinds of love. About Aharewata, when I wrote the lyrics I was thinking about the best way to show “love” towards another person, according to my concept, “ingesting” our partner is not the ultimate level of love. Though my intention is not to decide that. The MV shows it in a grotesque way, but I wanted to have people look at it from different directions.

－ We can say the interpretation is left to the listener, right? If we translate the English part, we get something close to scatological fetishism.

Everyone: Scatology. (lol)

Sho: Indeed. (lol) Cannibalism, right? With psychotic feelings. That’s the ultimate thing in my opinion.

－ Did you get influenced by psycho, cannibalistic movies maybe?

Sho: I love movies. Like Silence of the Lambs (1991), Hannibal (2001). Really old anime but for example Shoujo Tsubaki (1992). Also The Holy Mountain (1988)

－ It’s a really shocking music video but were there any notable moments while recording it?

Sho: The guy who appears in it went to buy liver and even though it was raw, he bit into it……

Ryuya: When they said “Liver please!” that was the funniest part. (lol)

Tsubasa: He sacrificed himself to act for us.

－ When it comes to vocals, what’s the most difficult part in DIMLIM?

Sho: The low shouts. They are hard to execute live.

－ The last part in Aharewata where the vocals gradually get higher slightly like an opera seems difficult too.

Sho: Oh, yeah that’s also hard. (lol)

Issei: This much is gonna work! - I thought while I came up with it. (lol)

－ It’s almost sadistic. (lol) But it sounds great.

Tsubasa: In the studio it comes out perfectly, but at lives he doesn’t have enough experience and I guess he’s also nervous.

Sho: Oh, the main point is how you open up your throat before the live, isn’t it? I’m trying to flex and stuff. (lol)

－「虚妄の歌」Kyomou no uta (Song of delusion) is an amazing song too, sounds like it would shine live.

Issei: Yes. I made this fast song while keeping the lives in my mind.

－ It’s not credited on the official site, but is it on the album?

Issei: Kyomou no uta is not on this record. We plan to release it next time. It was the first song we made so we recorded it regardless.

－ When reading the lyrics to Kyomou no Uta, I thought 'were these lyrics written with visual kei fans, the so-called bangya in mind?' So what are your thoughts on that?

Sho: There, it was a bit intentional but it was about bullying. All of our songs are dark, but I wanted to write something that was dark from within myself as a theme. Since I was bullied during my childhood, I thought of the lyrics with that in mind. “Everyone wants to be saved, isn't that right?” I had a lot of thoughts like this while writing. When in times like those, you run to self-love. You protect yourself. I tried to strongly show that side of the song.

－ I see. For Sho, is your love for yourself strong?

Sho: No, that's not the case.

－ So you wanted to write about self-love more critically.

Sho: Yes. Because I get into a give up mode.

－ Were there any bullying specific to social media in the background too?

Sho: Yes, that too. Also, in the classroom there are rankings too aren't there?

－ The part about hierarchy in the lyrics, right?

Sho: I had the class rankings in my mind. I think each listener will see a different setting. Whether it's the workplace, amongst bangya, or between friends. I think people ask “among them, is there anyone who's going to save me?” a lot.

－ That definitely does seem true. From an outsider's perspective, the hierarchy of visual kei fans seems very peculiar.

Sho: That really seems to be the case.

－ THE INVISIBLE (track 2) has a bit of an American feel to it, it reminds me of bands like Slipknot.

Issei: I thoughtlessly took 2-3 hours to make this song. There's a bit of an emo feel to it. It's frank and easy to move along to.

－ It's true that the rhythm is straightforward. As it's the impression of DIMLIM's sound, you've skillfully implemented dissonance. Since there's the concept of consonance and dissonance, I wondered “is the composer knowledgeable about music theory?” Did you intend to put in dissonance with intervals like minor second and major seventh?

Issei: No, not at all. I never intended for it to be difficult, but dissonance is something that isn't very visual kei, and that's why I wanted to add it in. I tried adding a "spiritless” sound (that horn-like sound before the breakdown) into the rhythm.

－ Speaking of that sound, that part is very catchy, makes it very impactful. Well then, please tell us about the other parts of these series of songs.

Ryuya: For Kyomou no Uta, I really just did it as I pleased. In the section prior to the chorus, Retsu is making sharp piercing tones while there are clean chords added in the back. The delay of the dotted eighth note over the tracing is a must have phrase in the type of music I like. From the start, I've preferred the beautiful sound of a modulation effector over the sound of shred guitar.

－ Was it the part where you decided in what way to use delay [that gave you a hard time]?

Ryuya: That's right. I’m picky about the number of times the sound echoes and the balance of it. But it was the first time since I've been in a band that I used delay in recording.

Retsu: In these three songs, I thought about the difficult portion in the verse quite a lot. I like phrases with that kind of flow. Although I've been influenced by D.I.D. too. Since the lead guitar in the chorus of Kyomou no Uta has a melodious flowing phrasing, I'd like it if you would please listen to it.

Tsubasa: I play simply in the recordings, but there are many times when later at lives or in the studio I create new phrases depending on how I feel, and I end up thinking “I’m gonna implement this!” The three songs that have been recorded are already different, I also play 『初潮』(Shochou) (Track.6) differently at lives. Basically, I’m the type that definitely plays differently in recordings and lives. I was like this even in my previous band, but I thought if I didn’t do this, the audience would get bored and I always play the parts that I want them to hear more consciously. Also, the unison with the guitars is something I’d play properly.

－ That unison also seems to be high difficulty.

Tsubasa: It is fairly difficult. It’s a quote from LOUDNESS’ bassist, Masayoshi Yamashita, but “Unison is when you listen and you’re unable to tell apart the guitar and bass because they’ve been played so perfectly in unison.” That’s why even in recordings, I think it’s fundamental to play precisely together and alike, but I can’t follow it with only feelings so I’ve still got to advance further.

Issei: I use a trigger for the drums. The timbre is that the kicks sound crackly, I take note of the timbres I’d use and the ones I don’t.

－ The music video for Aharewata has gotten over 140,000 views, but when looking at the comments there's a lot of people from overseas.

Tsubasa: Sure enough, our music is also well-received by people overseas, isn't it?

－ I think you also have promoting overseas in your mind, is there any festival you'd like to play at?

Ryuya: Maybe Download Festival or Warped Tour. When I was in Deviloof, we regrettably lost in the finals for the German festival, Wacken.

Tsubasa: I'd say KNOTFEST! Even if it's in Japan.

Issei: Ahh, there's Taste of Chaos.

－ You'd also seem to fit in for SCREAM OUT FEST.

Ryuya: That's true. SCREAM OUT FEST has a lot of the, what we call, metalcore bands perform so I want to perform there no matter what. I'm acquainted with a lot of the bands in the label, TRIPLE VISION, but I also have the most frustrating feelings too, so as expected, I get along well with Last Day Dream and Victim of Deception and I want to play with them. Even if our genres are different, I think it'd definitely be fun.

－ You interact with Loud rock bands too. I think in terms of sound, DIMLIM is close to that genre's alley, but as a visual kei band, could you tell us some of the advantages and disadvantages of working in this genre?

Issei: The advantages are that you have a lot of freedom. I think of visual kei as its own music genre.

－ Meaning?

Issei: If someone who is not familiar with make-up gave visual kei a try, there would be a lot of songs that’d make them go “Huh?”

－ Is it in the way of singing [that makes visual kei different]? Or just the sound?

Issei: Yeah, sometimes it's the singing, sometimes it's the atmosphere

Tsubasa: Indeed, the fact that we can do whatever we want is a huge part of it. Also, of course, I think it’s a strong point that visual kei is able to express things by using looks. The staging is also different from other genres. For a period of time, I played for a hardcore band, but I played as though I were on a visual kei stage and the members, the public address system, and even the audience told me “That's tacky, stop it!” (lol) I thought, “Really!? If this were visual kei it'd be cool though.” Also, doing makeup, changing your name allows you to perform and act as a different version of yourself. During lives, I get the feeling that I'm acting.

－ So you feel as though you're acting.

Tsubasa: Basically, I really hate myself. That's why I feel like I'm performing as a version of myself that I like. I like showing others my performance as “Tsubasa of DIMLIM.” The thing that I dislike is the image that “Visual kei = Untalented” which somehow became established. No matter how skilled someone is, if they're doing visual kei they get thought of as untalented and dissed. Nokubura destroyed that notion so I respect that. People who are young think that for example, even the GazettE are untalented just because they are visual kei. To tell the truth, I used to think that way as well, but actually when I went to see The GazettE's DOGMATIC FINAL LIVE at Yoyogi, I realised they were popular because they were talented. So the demerit of visual kei is that you get thought of as having no technique. Even the hardcore punk bandmen around me have thoughts like that.

－ DIMLIM's music would be impossible to play without skill. About the GazettE, when I saw them live my impression of them also changed. They get more and more amazing every time I see them, it's overwhelming.

Tsubasa: That's right. They say the sound in huge venues is not that great, but the GazettE sounded so much better than in small live houses. The performance itself also has visual kei elements in it.

Retsu: The good aspect of visual kei is that it's a culture unique to Japan. If I were a foreigner, I would like to do a mixture of things. Like LIMP BIZKIT. Or I would try to do an unrefined sounding band like EYES SET TO KILL or CHIODOS. But I was born in Japan and I love visual kei so I'm glad I'm Japanese.

－ Visual kei is getting popular overseas too, isn't it?

Retsu: I guess so. But when it comes to foreigners, even if they don't wear makeup their face is already well-balanced, isn't it? I think since we are Japanese, we have that as a good merit.

Sho: Speaking of good aspects, we can also change up our makeup according to the lyrics and so we can express our worldview easier. If you wear dark makeup it can easily have a negative impact, whereas if you have bright, shimmery makeup on, it has a positive impact. Also many times people say "Oh, it's visual kei, right?" in a negative way, but on the other hand when they hear a good song they are like "What? This is visual kei?" in a positive way.

Ryuya: I agree, we can do anything, we can easily change up the colours depending on the band. Even with just makeup.

－ Can you think of any bad aspects?

Ryuya: Uhm…...

Tsubasa: Maybe that it's hard for men to get into it.

Ryuya: You're right. I went to visual kei lives a lot too, but at first it was tough. It's kind of embarrassing to go somewhere that's filled with girls. I don't know if there's a reversed situation like that.

－ It has a totally different feel when girls go to hardcore lives compared to when guys go to visual kei lives.

Ryuya: Exactly. People give you strange looks and stuff. Though maybe I'm just too self‐conscious.

Tsubasa: I totally understand. You just get the feeling of being watched for some reason. (lol) Actually, I'm really glad that as of now, there are male guests at our shows.

－ You've been doing secret lives, what do your fans do at your concerts?

Issei: Well, just the general bangya movements, but even Sho is confused by them. If there are no instructions, they won't move.

－ Not just in visual kei but in general there's an issue with Japanese people not knowing how to move to the rhythm. Like "I guess I'm gonna raise my fist in 8 minutes."

Issei: The thing I was surprised by is that the fists come up at half-tempo. (lol) I was like "Is this the trend these days?" (lol)

－ Half-tempo. (lol)

Tsubasa: Even if you did Awa Odori, it would be fine as long as you are having fun. (lol) It's also okay to just stand still, as long as you are listening to us. If you are in the back.

－ How was it when you were in Deviloof?

Ryuya: Chaotic. There were moshing.

－ Sho, what is something you keep in mind during lives?

Sho: To be able to properly express what I want. The lyrics are heavy, so I get emotionally invested on stage.

－ Also if you translate the English parts in your lyrics, they leave a completely different impression.

Sho: Yes.

－ DIMLIM is preparing for their oneman live in June that has already sold out. Looking forward to the start, but is there any specific goal as of now, that each of you would like to achieve?

Issei: I want to face Far East Dizain. (lol) I've been friends with the guitarist, Leda, for the longest time.

－ (lol) Listening to you makes me think, are you all look at other bands as rivals?

Issei: No, there's no rivalry.....

Tsubasa: Well, not saying there isn’t. (lol)

Issei: I guess, we just want to make them go speechless. (lol)

Ryuya: My goal would be performing overseas. I want to leave a mark behind, and I think it would be amazing if we could play outside Japan regularly.

Retsu: I want to go at full speed to however far I can. Skill-wise it's obvious, but with the band itself. I'm putting all my might into it, and I will devour everything.

Tsubasa: Like an insane band. (lol)

Retsu: No, no. (lol) But I think it's not worth it if you don't put this much feeling into it. On the contrary, that’s the only thing we have now.

－ I can feel the bloodlust even just from listening to the songs.

Everyone: Bloodlust. (lol)

Retsu: Also, I would like to play at an event with the GazettE. (lol) I'm laughing while saying this, but one day I will definitely stand on the same stage as them. I admire them, but I don't want to lose. Plus I would like to perform at non-visual kei festivals too. Anyway, I will do DIMLIM, hoping that our music will pierce the eardrums of as many people as possible and that we, or I alone, can affect a lot of people.

Tsubasa: Band-wise, I would like my parents, relatives, friends etc. to be proud of me when I say "I'm in a band like this". I want them to say "Wow! Isn’t that amazing!". I always tell my fans too that someday they will definitely be proud of supporting me from the start. As an individual, I would like to motivate people to start playing instruments, also to start using the same instrument as I am, even if just one person got influenced, that would be great.

－ What instrument are you using now? Certainly, it would be nice if people would use your own model, right?

Tsubasa: I’ve been using the 5 string bass that I started with, but it would be amazing if one day I could have my own model. I myself am greatly influenced by TAIJI and I'm striving to be like him. I love him so much that I'm always using the same bass as him and I have the same tattoo as him. There's already someone who's using the same type of effector as I am. When we had that reply project on LINE, they told me "Changing my effector made the sound change completely" and that made me happy. I would be even happier if the number of such people would increase.

－ Lastly, Sho please tell us your goals.

It was my first year of high school/secondary school. And I was rocking in one of the chairs, I fell back and as I fell, I turned off the front classroom lights which in a way created a spotlight for me when I landed on the ground with a big bang. I was so freaking embarrassed, but my friends found it hilarious.

I don’t necessarily keep a journal or anything. But on my phone I like to go into my notes and write poems and stuff. Nothing too fancy or post worthy though.

I love light coloured eyes tbh. Seeing as mine are brown. I adore blue and green. But blue is my 100% favorite.

My red backpack I got like almost five years ago. It’s my favorite and I had it through high school and I still use it now when I go sleep at a friend’s house. lol

Uhhh, I remember one time we got super drunk at a friends house. We were playing fuck the dealer. Where like you had to guess the card on hand. You had to tries and if you didn’t get it, you had to take the number of that card, in shots. We were so gone, and then after that we just played music, ate taco bell and chilled. (My 3 A.M. stories are usually just drinking or drug related so. Lol)

Danishes. Cheese or cherry or even blueberry. Mmmmm.

I had a plush dog that I named Clark and I gave him away to my friend recently because he was moving away from me.

My gold rose ring that I always wear on my right ring finger. My dad got it for my birthday last year. And it just means a lot to me.

My friend Cydnie like two months ago. We traveled to this quiet spot near the water where we could see the big bridge of the city and see all the lights of the bridge reflecting on the water, and the stars were so bright, even with the light pollution.

55: what’s the most dramatic thing you’ve ever done to prove a point?

Put myself in awkward situations which calls a lot of attention to myself. (That’s also funny because I comically prove points)

56: what are some things you find endearing in people?

Geniune emotions, intelligence, good humour. I find people that just embrace their weirdness and what makes them so very endearing.

57: go listen to bohemian rhapsody. how did it make you feel? did you dramatically reenact the lyrics?

Honestly? It made me extremely happy. And I definitely reenact the lyrics, Every. Damn. Time.

58: who’s the wine mom and who’s the vodka aunt in your group of friends? why?

I’m the wine mom. Because I love wine firstly and because I’m all loopy and come up with stupid but silly ideas for fun. Plus, I’m like super over caring and giggly intoxicated.

Vodka aunt? Oh man, that has to be Matt. He gets so fucking queenie while drunk. And he even goes overboard and gets to the point where he can barely walk. I love him though, he’s hilarious.

59: what’s your favorite myth?

Vampires. Because low key, I would love to be one if that was even a possibility.

60: do you like poetry? what are some of your faves?

I love poetry. I have too many favorites tbh.

Oh god, I can’t really think of one. On both ends.

Uh not really but if I did, I would drink Orange or Apple juice.

63: are you fussy about your books and music? do you keep them meticulously organized or kinda leave them be?

Ehhh I just leave them be tbh. I’m really not fussy about it unless there’s a chance of them getting damaged. Then I freak out.

64: what color is the sky where you are right now?

Blue and the sun is out very brightly.

65: is there anyone you haven’t seen in a long time who you’d love to hang out with?

There are many friends that I miss dearly, and I would love to see them all again.

66: what would your ideal flower crown look like?

Multicolored, vibrant and just free.

67: how do gloomy days where the sky is dark and the world is misty make you feel?

At peace honestly. I love when it rains and I love gloomy weather a lot.

68: what’s winter like where you live?

Not as cool as I wish it was. It snowed here once, and it was just an inch of freaking snow. Which is lameee. But like it’s humid here so it’s weird when the temperature drops and rises. Along with it being so bipolar here.

69: what are your favorite board games?

I always loved Candy Land for whatever reason. It’s the simplest game and a fast playing game. But I guess that’s why I love it. The simplest things make me happy.

70: have you ever used a ouija board?

Naaaaaah. And I really don’t plan on it. Call me what you may, but I don’t want to attract any negative energy in my life.

71: what’s your favorite kind of tea?

I love green tea.

72: are you a person who needs to note everything down or else you’ll forget it?Depends on what the information is, but for the most part I have a decent memory.

73: what are some of your worst habits?

I have a bad habit of not brushing my hair every day. My hair is freaking curly and when I brush it, it gets all frizzy. It just doesn’t work. But I regret it when I brush it after a shower the next day.

74: describe a good friend of yours without using their name or gendered pronouns.

Short, coloured hair, absolutely hilarious, EDM lover, chill af, loved by most, knows how to have a good time, and a really kind heart.

75: tell us about your pets!

I have a German Shepard, name Attila and he is fucking adorable. And huge.

76: is there anything you should be doing right now but aren’t?

I should probably do some laundry, but I really can’t be bothered to do so.

Omg pink all the way! I’ll settle for yellow if that’s all you have though.

Is there an indifferent club? Because that would be where I stand. lol

79: what’s one of the cutest things someone has ever done for you?

I really think of the cutest. I have had a lot of cute things done for me. Plantonically and romantically.

80: what color are your bedroom walls? did you choose that color? if so, why?

There are white, I did not choose this colour. And I would paint it if I could, but alas, I’m in an apartment.

81: describe one of your friend’s eyes using the most abstract imagery you can think of.

The eyes that I’m imagining are the deepest blue I have seen. It’s like staring into the ocean and seeing the waves rushing around. There’s a storm in those eyes. And just seeing the waters calm, is like the sun comes out and the blue becomes bright and looks like the sun glistening on the waters of Bora Bora.

82: are/were you good in school?

I was pretty chill at school. I didn’t really do homework though and I skipped class a lot. Which I really regret now, but when I go back I’m planning on being completely focused and working towards my goal.

83: what’s some of your favorite album art?

Mastodon’s album covers are nice tbh. Plus some of the EDM artist artwork are beautiful ngl.

84: are you planning on getting tattoos? which ones?

I have so many tattoo plans, if I even started to explain all that I wanted there would be a novel here to read. Haha.

85: do you read comics? what are your faves?

Nah I don’t. It never called my attention, but I never even tried so. Hmm.

Ehhhhhh.

87: what are some movies you think everyone should watch at least once in their lives?

Lord of The Rings Phantom of the Opera&&&Moulin Rouge.

Not that I know of really. But I’m open to explore them!

I’m really close to my dad. I have no relationship with my mother and that’s whatever tbh.

Tumblr post: “I’m in love with cities and countries I never been to.” I can’t even pick a favorite yet because I haven’t gone to them yet.

91: where do you plan on traveling this year?

If I had the money, there are many places I would be travelling this year.

Droooooowns my pasta in cheese. I fucking love cheese, man.

I wear my hair down the most, I really don’t do much with my hair. Other than wash it and go.

My queenie boo Matt. We went out to dinner and then went to a gay bar for karaoke, it was so lit.

I really don’t think that far ahead?? All my plans are very spontaneous. The way I like it tbh.

I have no computer and it fucking sucks.

Five years into the future, because I would like to know if I’m on the right path to a good future or if I have changes to make. The future scares me the most.Plus, I wouldn’t change my past because that’s what made me who I am today. And I like to think I’m a pretty great person. (:
