Dealing with the executive function
Aizawa x autistic reader
This is for my fellow autistic. Not to romanticize asd but because we don’t have enough media design especially for us. And I want to write fanfic that I can be comforted by on days when my adhd and asd traits make it hard
Synopsis: the reader is having bad executive functions and feel shitty aizawa come home to comfort reader.
Content Warning: executive function problems, anxious thoughts, crying, mentions of forgetting to eat, self doubt. Stay safe friends
You laid on back to the floor. Giving off sighs and a few tears. You had things to do but they were the things you hated doing. You remember shota mentioned something about needing it done. So what did you do?
Spend the majority of the day fighting youself to get started doing anything. You wanted to cry.
You didn’t want to disappoint shota but you felt like you most definitely were. What time was it even? would shota be home soon to see you’ve done nothing.
Oh what about dinner. You haven’t made dinner. Each second of time just added more stress to your list. A tear or two fell from your eyes. While you were laying there crying The cat walked over and plopped himself on your chest. Choco your cat had alway been in tune with your emotions and the weight from the cat helped you breath even if just a little.
“Hey choco, you think shota is gonna be annoyed at me?”
“Mreow”
“Yeah probably not. Doent mean I can’t sit here and think that way” of course right as you started to feel slightly better was when you heard your front door open and the footsteps of you boyfriend walking.
“Why,” his voice spoke up “Are you on the floor?”
“Bad romantic partner with no emotional energy to deal with anything sit in floor. Floor make thing better” you tired looking boyfriend sat down next to you and started petting the cat.
“What’s the problem.” That one thing you appreciated about shota he was never one to beet around the bush. If he knew you were upset hed ask you once if you didn’t want to answer now he’ll ask you later.
“The Chores. All the thing you ask me to do. I spent all day fighting myself cause I hate doing them and I just did nothing today at all.” Your could feel your tears starting to get bigger in your eyes.
“When did you eat last,”
“Huh?”
“When did you eat last,”
“Breakfast I think I don’t remember if I ate lunch or not.” He gave me one of his gentle sighs and stands up.
“Okay up. I’m going to have you go lie down while I make food and do a few chores.”
“But you just got home from work and guy normally take a nap so you can feel decent enough for hero work tonight.” You say staring up at him as he stood above you.
“I’ll see if anyone can cover my zone tonight. You are overwhelmed and I’m not gonna let you deal with it alone. If I got to tired from work you would call up the school and make them give me a day off. I think me taking one night from hero work to support my partner is aloud.” He put his hand down waiting for you to grab it.
“Okay,” you grabbed his hand and he helped you up. You headed to the bedroom exhausted from fighting yourself mentally. You wrapped yourself in a blanket and opened you phone to watch something.
Shota walked in behind you where he switches his hero clothes and puts in some grey sweatpants and a t-shirt you had bought him.
After a few minutes you smell the amazing sent of one of your safe foods. The one you’ve been talking about the last few days but just haven’t had the energy to make it. You were glad that he was taking the night off. Night where shota took time off meant cuddles and getting to rewatch shows while eating yummy food.
Shota walked in and handed you a plate. He moved his way into his side of the bed.
“Thank you shota,”
“Anytime.” You leaned into shota and he wrapped an arm around you.

Dacre and the reader are costars with their characters being love interests. They’re both in an interview talking about season 3 and Y/C/N and billy’s death scene. The reader talks about how they got the idea to kill off their character because they wanted more time with Dacre and to not stress out. So the scene goes the reader’s character (Y/C/N) tries to save Billy but sadly dies from his hands by strangulation. It was super emotional because the last words that were spoken were “I just want my sunshine back” (which reader calls Dacre) so they basically talk about that scene and how memorable it was to go that way!
“When they yelled cut all I felt were Dacre’s arms around me.”
(If someone writes this one PLEASE TAG ME!!!)

Tumblr media
~9th one~
Billy Hargrove x Pyromaniac reader
Billy dropped his lighter and now it’s gone! Angry he’s been ignoring everyone all day trying to figure out where it went. The next day he makes eye contact with the reader who… HAS HIS LIGHTER!!! Running after them he finds the reader and oh wow… their really hot!

No Body, No Crime - Part II
By: sushigirlali
——————
Hanna City, Chandrila Noon
——————
Rey sat on a long bench in the atrium, anxiously twisting calloused hands in lacy skirts. “What the hell am I doing? Who’s game am I playing? Not my own, that’s for sure.”
Given all she knew about her grandfather, and what she now knew about Ben Solo, it seemed more than likely that her first mission was also supposed to be her last.
There had been a moment once, a brief second, when she thought she’d gained her master’s approval: the day she forged her lightsaber. After meditating for hours, for days, she was sure she would produce a weapon worthy of her house, but when she ignited the kyber crystal for the first time, it’s heart was amethyst, not crimson.
And Sidious had never let her forget it.
“There’s too much of your father’s heart in you, young Palpatine,” he liked to taunt...
Pushing down those chilling memories, she tried to parse out his intentions. If the old Sith had never meant for her to kill the Skywalker heir, then what was his aim? Distract the Resistance long enough to do—what? Invade the heart of the galactic government? “No, that’s too bold,” she thought. “Darth Sidious always strikes from a distance, he never puts himself or his advantage at risk.” But, then… what was his plan?
Feeling Ben’s approach before his long shadow loomed over her, Rey jumped up to meet a pair of fine eyes. “Ready?” she asked before Ben—the prince, she quickly corrected herself—could.
“Yes. Would you like some lunch? I have time before I’m needed at the Senate building.”
Rey’s stomach rumbled as if on cue. “Yes, your highness.”
He rolled his eyes at the title, but didn’t correct her. “Shall we then?” he said, presenting his arm for her to grasp.
Uneasy about the way his name was suddenly at the forefront of her mind, she ignored his courtly gesture and breezed past him. “Sure, I’m never one to turn down free food.”
——————
Wiping his mouth with a crisp linen napkin, Ben hid a smile as Rey tucked into the stew his prized chef Maz had prepared. Despite the childish way she was pushing her vegetables around the bowl, it was clear that she was enjoying the rich dish.
“Would you like some bread?” he queried, motioning toward a covered basket.
“There’s bread?” she asked, eyes wide. “Real bread? Not portions?”
Ben’s smile slipped at her innocent question. “Do you… not have bread? At home, I mean.”
“The citadel isn’t my home, not really,” she replied, reaching under the napkin for a thick roll. “But… no.” Tearing it into little pieces, she dropped them into her bowl and resumed eating.
Staring down at his own lunch, Ben tried to conceal his anger. Not at Rey, but at the neglectful monster who was supposed to be responsible for her. Here he’d been in the lap of luxury for nearly thirty years and his intended had lived off scraps.
“Can I get you anything else?” he asked, realizing the only sound in the room was Rey’s hurried chewing. She must be famished after skipping breakfast... and who knew how many other meals in her young life. He would have to take better care of her from now on. “More stew?”
Rey held out her nearly empty bowl in response, but avoided his gaze. “Thank you.”
He filled it to the top and handed her another piece of bread for good measure. “Rey?” he said after a moment.
“Mmm?”
“I just want you to know that if there’s ever anything you need, you can come to me. You can take whatever you want.”
She froze mid-chew and looked up at him. “W—what?”
Ben felt his face heat. “Sorry, uh, that was probably inappropriate.”
“Probably,” she echoed before going back to her food. “But, um…” she murmured after a few more bites, “thanks.”
Regaining his smile, Ben pushed what remained of the breadbasket toward her. “You’re welcome.”
——————
Watching with rapt attention as the senator from Chandrila gave an address to a room packed with politicians, Rey wondered what it would feel like to command such respect. Her grandfather certainly never had; ruling with fear was not the same thing as having the trust of your people. She understood that now.
His full lips quirked up at the corners as he glanced in her direction and she was struck with a sudden remembrance of the kiss they had shared upon first meeting. Rey touched her mouth, recalling the sweet pressure of the prince’s lips on hers…
“It was more of a distraction than anything,” she thought unconvincingly. She purposefully didn’t dwell on who was distracting whom.
Although, if a distraction could be defined as something she wanted to do again for purely practical reasons, maybe kissing the prince would make him trust her enough to relinquish her lightsaber.
“Well, that’s one way to rationalize making out with the enemy,” she chided. “Get it together.”
“...And on behalf of my mother, General Organa, I would like to reassure you all that the Sith threat will soon be extinguished.”
Rey tilted her head at Ben’s bold proclamation. “Oh, will it?” she silently challenged, willing the prince to look at her.
As if picking up her thoughts from thin air, Ben met her gaze from across the hall. “Yes,” he mouthed over multiple heads of state.
Shocked more by the fact that he had responded to her unspoken question than his answer, Rey kept her eyes on him throughout the rest of the meeting. He would look at her from time to time, smile mysteriously, and then resume talking. It was mildly infuriating, sure, but Rey was determined to puzzle him out.
Taking a deep breath, she tried to clear her mind, to focus solely on the man at the podium. “There must be a pathway,” she thought, recalling the feeling that he was trying to impart something nonverbally to her earlier in the day. “With force abilities, there’s always a path...”
And if he’d figured out a way to get into her head, maybe there was a way to get into his too.
Relaxing further into her seat, she reached for him, parsing out the energy flowing around her until only Ben’s signature remained. It almost hurt to perceive him, his light was so blinding. But somehow, it was easy too. Familiar and sort of… warm? He felt so warm...
“Rey, what are you doing?”
She barely managed to stifle a gasp as he slipped into her mind. “What am I doing? What are you doing? And how are you doing it?”
“This isn’t the time or place,” he replied sternly.
“You can’t keep using that excuse,” she huffed. “You promised to give me answers, remember?”
“And I will.”
“When?!”
“Tonight.”
——————
Dusk
——————
The sun was setting by the time Ben ushered Rey out of the Senate House. He felt nervous, Force knew why. She had become considerably less hostile and more trusting throughout the day, so he hoped telling her the truth about them wouldn’t scare her off.
“Or send her into a homicidal rage,” he worried. It had been necessary to disarm her the night before, in case she realized how much power she had over him. “If only she knew how long I’ve been waiting for her, then maybe she would understand why I could never lift a hand against her.”
He supposed now was the time to enlighten her, but having never handled rejection well, the prospect terrified him. “All these years, I thought it was the same for her as it was for me; I thought she was dreaming of me too...”
Spending an entire day in her presence had made his visions of her and their future together more clear, provided context, but there was still a lot he didn’t understand about their connection. His uncle had helped him research this rare phenomena, a dyad Luke called it, but Ben’s thirst for knowledge had yet to be sated.
“Old books can only teach me so much,” he reflected. The practical experience of being in his dyad’s presence was proving to be much more educational.
“Prince,” Rey murmured as they passed a few younglings playing with a ball.
“Yes?”
“What are they doing?”
“Who?”
“Those children.”
“Oh,” he paused, “they’re playing.” Catching the eye of a small Twi'lek, Ben motioned toward Rey.
“Oh!” she jumped when the grinning child kicked the ball toward her.
“It’s okay,” he assured her, placing a placating hand on her back. “It’s a game.”
“A fun game?” she asked.
“Why don’t you give it a try and let me know.”
She looked up at him with big eyes. “But what about you? We were going to talk...”
“And we will,” he promised. “Play for a while and then come find me. I’ll be in my quarters.”
She gave him a searching look, as if to say, “You really trust me not to run?”
Departing with a playful push forward and a contented smile, he knew she understood the answer to be, “Irrevocably.”
——————
An hour later, Rey was practically skipping back to the Old Guard House when a commotion stopped her short of the building. “What--stormtroopers?!” There was a cloister of them standing in a small circle around a beleaguered sounding gold droid. “Ben!” she thought, fearing the worst.
Rushing forward, she forgot all her training in her panic, taking exactly zero care to remain hidden. “What’s going on here?” she demanded of the closest soldier.
A handsome young man looked up at her in surprise. He wasn’t wearing his helmet, a strange sight for a stormtrooper, but instead holding it under his arm. The white mask was splashed red, forming the shape of a handprint.
Looking around, Rey realized all the helmets were similarly marked.
“I’m Finn,” the soldier said. “Who are you?”
“What are you doing here?” Rey pressed on, ignoring the question. “Where’s Ben? What have you done with him? I want to speak with my grandfather.”
“Uh—what?” Finn blinked. “Who’s your grandfather? Who are you?”
“She’s my guest.”
Rey flipped around and nearly ran into the prince’s muscular chest. “What's going on?” she glared up at him. “Where have you been? I thought you might be—what are you laughing about, idiot?!”
Ben chuckled as she fumed, “I’m sorry to have worried you, sweetheart, but Finn and his crew are friends.”
“But they’re stormtroopers.”
“Former stormtroopers,” Finn corrected her. “Hi,” he said with a charming smile, “let’s try this again. I’m Finn. And you are?”
“Rey,” she replied uncertainly, looking between the two men.
“Rey what?”
She could feel the prince staring a hole into the side of her head, but she didn’t falter. “Just Rey.”
“Well, Just Rey, it looks like you’re right on time for the party,” Finn grinned.
“Party?”
“Rey, I don’t know how to tell you this,” Ben started gently, “but the war is nearly over. Finn and his stormtroopers rebelled and turned the tide. The Republic is on the brink of winning.”
“And… and him?”
“He was losing well before he sent you here,” Ben said honestly.
“Then why send me?”
“Why indeed?” a regal voice sounded.
Ben stepped in front of her, obscuring the newcomer from view. Belatedly, Rey realized he was being protective and it made her feel… weird. Jittery. Safe. And… something she’d never felt before…
“Mother, I can explain,” he said lamely.
“Glad to hear it, son,” General Organa murmured sardonically. “Because this looks like a royal fuck up to me.”
——————
Evening
——————
Ben tried not to preen as Rey stuck like glue to his side at dinner. It was clear she was uncomfortable meeting so many new people at once, but her body language was also protective, as if a battle could break out in the dining hall at any moment.
“To be fair,” he thought, “mother is a force to be reckoned with under the best of circumstances...”
“Rey, was it?” Leia queried.
“Shit.”
His intended froze while reaching for another soft roll. “Yes.”
“How did you come to our cozy, yet rebellious little planet? I don’t believe I’ve met you before.”
“Mother.”
Leia ignored him, eyes intent on Rey’s visage. “You seem to know my son well, somehow, and you’re wearing clothing of my house, my mother’s I believe, so I think it’s perfectly rational we should get to know one another.”
“Mother, please.”
“No, it’s fine,” Rey said with false confidence. “Your mother is just being careful. And I am practically a stranger in your home.”
“You’re not!” he refuted, reflexively reaching for her hand under the table; he was a little stunned when she didn’t pull away.
“It’s okay,” she reiterated, squeezing his fingers. Turning to Leia, she said, “I was sent here.”
“Rey, don’t!”
“I was sent here by my grandfather.”
Leia’s back straightened, as if seeing the younger woman properly for the first time. “Stop,” she commanded, standing from the table. “You two, come with me. Finn, you as well.”
Rey shot to her feet before Ben could react, dragging him up the strong grip she had on his hand.
Leia noted their bond, but just said, “Follow me.”
——————
General Organa led them to a chamber Rey had never seen before, with comfortably staged couches and reading chairs enticingly lit by warm fire. The walls surrounding the hearth were lined with high bookshelves and dazzling art pieces and ancient weapons of eras gone by.
Rey was awed by the collection, by the overwhelming sense of rightness she felt standing in this very place at this very moment, with…
“Please, sit,” the General said, indicating a plush couch covered in green velvet directly in front of the flickering fire.
Ben let Rey guide him to the sofa, while his mother took a seat to the right and the stormtrooper sat across from her on a second, identical wingback chair. Normally, Rey wouldn’t have felt intimidated, but Ben’s unease was making her nervous. The library was a sanctuary from all life’s ills, yet she could feel the prince’s urge to run.
“Calm down,” she thought.
“I am calm,” he returned.
“Now then,”—they turned to the General in unison, waiting for her to continue—“why don’t we start over.”
“What happens if I tell the truth?” Rey wondered.
“I don’t know,” Ben answered honestly. “But if anyone besides me is willing to hear you out, it’s her.”
“Okay.”
“But still—”
“I’m Rey,” she blurted before she changed her mind. Ben’s hand tightened almost painfully around hers, but she pressed on. “Rey Palpatine.”
Finn gasped, but Leia didn’t visibly react. “Yes, I thought so. My brother mentioned your arrival was likely during the climax of the war and here we are.”
“What?” Ben said, bewildered. “You knew about her? About us?”
“Us?”
“Darling,” his mother said softly, “you don’t honestly believe your uncle would have kept the possibility of a dyad from me, do you? You know the consequences of such a bond, and the toll it can take if not properly nurtured.”
“It was my choice.”
“Yes, but you haven’t given her a choice yet.”
“There hasn’t been time,” he said stubbornly.
The General gave her son a look only a mother could. “Then make time.”
He nodded solemnly, but didn’t look at Rey.
“Excellent,” Leia smiled. “Now, onto the pressing matter of Palpatine’s last defenses…”
Ignoring the fact that her supposed enemies were discussing tactical plans in front of her, Rey focused on the word now at the forefront of her mind. “What the fuck is a dyad?” she asked.
Ben’s thumb traced the inside of her wrist, feeling for her pulse as she had done to him earlier in the day. But this time, something was different. Something had shifted. She could hear her own heartbeat and the echoing of his just as strongly; as if their hearts beat as one.
“Ben, what have you done?” she demanded, pulling back from him.
——————
Ben half paid attention as his mother and Finn prattled on about strategy and war games, his mind preoccupied by the live wire sitting next to him. Rey’s fingers slipped from his as she turned to face him and the loss was like a punch in the gut.
It was all too fast, too soon, but Rey deserved to know the truth about their bond all the same. And besides, it wasn’t something they could realistically fight. Telling her everything was a gamble, but the arrival of the Resistance fleet made his personal timetable irrelevant.
He’d promised they’d talk tonight, but he thought there’d be more time to warm her up to the idea of—
“What do you think, Ben? Ben. Ben!”
“Huh?” Ben belatedly realized Finn was asking him a question.
“Did you hear what I said?” His friend asked.
“No,” Ben said honestly.
“Palpatine knows about the stormtrooper plot, but it’s too late to stop it. I’m worried a lot of good people are going to die. What should we do?”
Ben contemplated their next move, knowing the original plan was too costly to continue. “Do you remember when we first met?”
“Yeah,” Finn grinned, “you were trying to kill me.”
“I aimed wide,” he scoffed, “but more importantly, do you remember how I convinced you and your team to turn?”
“You hacked our comms!” Finn exclaimed. “And gave us the sappiest motivational speech on record.”
“Shut up. But, yeah, exactly. What if we get Rose to hack all the helmets at the same time and broadcast a call for surrender? The rebel troopers will have cover to escape in the confusion and it should give us enough time to cripple Palpatine’s operations while his attention is focused here.”
“A diversion,” Finn nodded. “Once the command structure is gone, I doubt many of the remaining stormtroopers will continue fighting.”
“Why would his attention be focused here?” Rey piped up.
“Because he sent you here to kill my son, dear,” Leia said calmly.
“A move that big is guaranteed to split his attention and forces,” Finn agreed.
“But I haven’t, I mean, I…” Rey trailed off awkwardly.
“No, you haven’t,” Leia said pointedly, “and he knows it.”
Rey fell silent and Ben ached to reach out to her again, physically, telepathically, anything to bridge the sudden gulf between them. But her posture said she needed space and he wouldn’t deprive her of that.
“What about the praetorian guards?” Finn asked, clearly trying to keep things on track. “They’re loyal to a fault.”
“All enemy combatants will be given the chance to surrender,” Leia said.
“And if they don’t?” Rey pressed.
“Then they’ll be dealt with,” his mother said dispassionately.
“And my grandfather?”
No one said anything for a long moment and the silence was uncomfortable. The truth of matter was Palpatine had to die and they all knew it; he could not be allowed to regain power ever again.
But Ben felt disquieted about the actions of his side for the first time since the war started. For a person who believed themselves to be extraordinarily empathetic, it had never occurred to him that the Resistance wasn’t the only group to suffer losses.
“Rey, I don’t know what to say,” he admitted, suddenly feeling inadequate. He didn’t know how to comfort her. He didn’t know if he should.
She shook her head. “I didn’t expect you to.”
“Rey, wait!” he called as she stood and stiffly walked to the door.
But she left without another word.
——————
Rey retreated to the prince’s room, peeling off the costume he had given her this morning and tossing it on the end of the bed. Lifting up the soft sheets, she dove into the center and pulled them over her head.
The shock of the last few hours was only undercut by how much she still didn’t know. There was a lot of talk about war and plans and death, but there was still a missing piece to this puzzle.
She understood now why Palpatine had sent her. She was as a last ditch effort, a contingency plan, to stop the Resistance if he failed to fool the stormtrooper rebellion. Without his brainwashed child soldiers, he would certainly lose.
“A means to an end,” she thought. But what if her next move was so impressive that her grandfather had to take her back?
Despite the General’s relative lack of hostility, Rey knew that Ben’s mother wouldn’t hesitate to “deal with” her if given the slightest provocation. But Palpatine was the devil she knew. And sometimes it was just easier to go with the original plan when every alternative went bust.
Even if he was trying to end them all.
“Rey?” Ben called out quietly.
“Sneaky bastard.” She hadn’t even heard him enter the room.
The bed dipped as he sat to her right. “I’m sorry. That wasn’t how I wanted you to meet my mother.”
Rey didn’t respond, waiting to see what else he’d say.
“I want you to be comfortable here,” he went on. “I was born here. My mother and father made this planet home after Palpatine destroyed Alderaan.”
“What happened?” she mumbled, interest peaked.
“It was a planet much like this one, beautiful and peaceful. My mother was part of the royal family, a princess, but about 30 years ago, during the last war, she was captured and punished with the death of her family and friends and everything she knew. The planet was destroyed with the use of a massive weapon. It was called the Death Star. Your grandfather and… mine built it.”
Rey snatched the sheets away from her face in shock. “Your grandfather was… he worked with mine?”
Ben nodded. “Darth Vader was Palpatine’s greatest pupil.”
Just when she thought the night couldn’t get more shocking, Rey suddenly understood why her grandfather hated the Skywalker’s so very much. “I need to think.”
“Alright,” he said gently. “l need to meditate, anyway. Today has been… a lot.”
“Wait,” Rey said, grabbing his arm.
“What is it?”
“I’d feel safer if you slept here,” she invented.
“Here?”
“On the bed.”
“Oh,” he gulped.
“I’m just going to use the fresher first,” she said in what she hoped was a nonchalant tone. Slipping past Ben in nothing but her underwear, Rey was starkly aware of his eyes on her. Ignoring the shiver that ran up her spine, Rey finally knew what she had to do.
She had to kill him. Tonight.

You lay awake on your bed, freezing despite having several blankets. And it doesn’t help that every position you try to sleep in, ends up feeling uncomfortable. You look at your clock and read 4am.
You rub your belly, “baby, please let mommy sleep now okay? We have a long day at work tomorrow” and then reality hits you. Who’s gonna watch your baby while you’re at work? How are you going to be able to afford childcare?
You immediately start crying because you suddenly feel overwhelmed. But you remember the list of resources your doctor provided at your last appointment.
“You got this Y/N” you hype yourself up. But you allow yourself to feel all the emotions, instead of letting it build up anxiety. And your mind starts going down avenues you haven’t been on in weeks.
Like, maybe it isn’t a bad thing to reach out to your ex again. Maybe he would actually be a decent person and step up. Maybe he would actually love and care for you and your baby.
You move around a little more with new thoughts to keep you up. And just as soon as you fall asleep, your alarm goes off.
You take your time getting ready, trying to find clothes to keep you warm for your commute to work. You settle for the trench coat that still hides your belly. But you open it and embrace the changes to your body.
You pack a light lunch (consisting of mixed nuts, a salad, and a croissant) and get your lunchbox ready, and you decide to eat some of it on your way to work.
You’re people watching on the subway when you see a familiar face in the crowd. And soon enough he’s smiling at you and heading your way.
“Y/N?!” He says loud enough to get some of the other commuter’s attention. You smile but quickly panic, holding tight to your coat to hide your belly in hopes that he doesn’t see what you’re hiding.
“Long time no see Y/N” he says as he approaches you with his boxy smile that’s always plastered on his face.
“Hi Tete! Wow you look good!” You say as you try to get up to give him a big hug. But he insists for you to stay put as he holds onto the railing above you, since it’s packed with the morning commuters.
“How are you Y/N?” He asks and suddenly you’re both invested in the conversation. It’s something you’ve always appreciated about your friendship with Taehyung. You always pick up where you had last left off.
“Have you heard from…” he begins to ask but stops himself from saying his name. You smile to be polite and shake your head no.
Taehyung was one of your ex’s best friends in high school. He’s basically the one who introduced you two. You and Taehyung went to church youth camp together and became close friends shortly afterwards.
He’s still the same sweet, weird, funny guy you’ve gotten to know after all these years. You’re debating on whether to tell him right here and now about your baby.
“Hey Tete, I was wondering. Are you free to catch up?” You say out of the blue. He smiles and nods his head excitedly.
“For you Y/N? Always” he says as he pulls out his phone to check his calendar. “I can do tomorrow after work if you’re free?”
You have an appointment around noon and off the rest of the day tomorrow, so you two set up a time and place. He was very adamant about picking you up.
You say your goodbyes as you get off at your stop and you’re happy you got to see Taehyung.
You remember the days when you took a liking to him, but he friendzoned you as he directed you to your ex. You imagine how life would be if you ended up with him.
You make your way up to the meeting room, barely making it on time. Everyone’s focused on your boss who just started as you entered the room. And when you get yourself comfortable in your chair, you feel chest pain that you’ve never felt before.
You try to tell yourself there’s no pain but it becomes the only thing you can focus on. You tell yourself you just need to make it through this meeting then you’ll ask to leave.
You’re squirming in your chair, not able to find a comfortable position when Jin, who is sitting next to you, turns to you and whispers if you’re okay.
The meeting feels like it lasted an eternity, but as soon as it ends you go straight to the restroom. It’s not as painful as earlier but you try to contact your doctor.
The rest of the work day was uneasy for you but on your way home your doctor calls and lets you know that heartburn is pretty common during this time. She reassures you that you’re okay but to let her know if it becomes more painful.
•••••••
You’re excited to catch up with Taehyung tonight after some time has passed since you’ve last talked to him. You had a falling out a little after the break up, since technically he was your ex’s friend first.
You’re also nervous because you’re telling him that your baby is your ex’s baby and you’re not sure how he would react.
Taehyung was there for you during the break up until he wasn’t. He eventually took your ex’s side, because he was his friend first. But for the first few months, he stood by your side, making the break up a little less painful.
He stopped by your place once a week to take you out, whether that’s to listen to you rant about your ex or simply to make sure you were eating. He stepped in when it seemed like no one else cared.
It’s close to six, which means he’ll be here soon. You look to the mirror, wearing loose clothing that hides your figure and to top it off you’re also wearing one of your long coats.
As you’re checking yourself out in the mirror, you jump at the sound of your doorbell ringing. You open the door to find a bouquet of flowers right in front of you.
“Surprise! I hope you like them” Taehyung says with his boxy smile, never faltering. He reels you in for his notorious bear hugs and you can’t help but feel so happy to have your friend back.
You tell him to step in really quick so that you can find a vase for the flowers. He inhales the scent of lavender from the living room, and smiles knowing that lavender has always been your go-to scent for anything.
“You haven’t changed one bit Y/N” Taehyung says quickly, glancing at the pictures that’s set up in the living room.
You appear out of nowhere and he gives you a good look. “I’m glad we’re hanging out again Y/N” he blurts randomly, making you blush for no good reason. “You ready?”
You catch up over hot dogs, tater tots, and shakes at the Sonic you used to frequent together, catching up on life. And the conversation is so light and fun, you end up having a laugh attack in his car.
You try to catch your breath as you unbutton your jacket, which instantly captures his attention. And for a second you didn’t realize why he was just staring at you.
Your eyes grow big and you’re suddenly blushing as you watch him fidgeting with whatever he can find.
“Yeah, so this is why I wanted to catch up..” you say as you look down and rub your belly. “I’m 14 weeks now”. You slowly look up to see Taehyung staring not at your stomach, but at your face.
“Is it his?” He says with a hurt look in his eyes. You slowly nod your head yes while you give him time to soak everything in. But you can’t tell if he’s disappointed, frustrated, or confused.
Silence fills the car for what seemed like an eternity. And you can tell that he’s trying to come up with something to say. You slowly start to feel a little anxious because of the way he’s so quiet right now.
“Does he know?” He says, being the first words that’s been said for over 3 minutes. He licks his lips out of nervousness, a habit that he’s always had.
“I tried reaching out but never got through. I’ve called his family and friends and nothing either” you say, feeling a little numb having to explain this for the umpteenth time.
And then he stares at you with this longing look. Like you were an injured puppy he wanted to look after. Or the way you look at an elderly person who obviously needs assistance.
Taehyung adjusts his position so that his upper body is facing you. “Is there anything you need Y/N? Do you want me to try reaching out to him?” He asks you and you know that he’s serious.
You give him a quick smile before shaking your head no. “I’m okay Tete. Honestly, I’ve made peace about this the moment I realized he doesn’t want anything to do with me. Plus, I think you and I both know that he’s not capable of raising a child”.
He scoffs at your comment and then rolls his eyes agreeing with you 100%. “He’s trash” he says as he shakes his head and reaches for a tater tot.
He picks up the box of tater tots and offers you the last one, which you gladly took. “Well, I’m here for you if you need anything Y/N. You can count on me” he says as he looks straight into your eyes.
“Thank you Tete! I know I can count on you, and so can my baby boy” you say rubbing your belly.
“Oh my gosh, you’re having a boy?!” He squeals in excitement, which is the Taehyung you’re so used to being around.
“Well I will officially find out at my next appointment, but a good friend of mine is 100% sure it’s a boy” you say and you can see Taehyung’s boxy smile only growing bigger.
“Well I sure hope your friend is right because I hope it’s a boy too!” Taehyung says. He gets both of your shakes and raises it to toast. “To your baby boy!”

A night to remember~
Warning: this contains smut adult stuff so no children or underage teens as in 15 year olds if you are 20 or 16 or 18 then good luck but do not judge me cuz it's been awhile since I wrote a 100% wolf fanfic so enjoy also I'm using my OC Jacqulyn
Tumblr media
It all started one morning at farfang Manor flashheart and Jacqulyn are packing to go on a camping trip to the mountains in a cabin where they could spend some alone time together and take a break from their jobs and taking care of the kids. {And almost done packing what's next on the list flashheart } Jacqulyn said with a smile on her face knowing she has lingerie in her suitcase and everything ready [almost ready love just need a pack a few more things and we'll be ready to go on our little romantic getaway just you and me under the full moon~] flash heart said with a smirk putting his hand on his wife's ass Jacqulyn squeaked a little and smiled while she playfully smacked her husband on the chest {hey take it easy there Wolfe when we get to the cabin then we can start} Jacqulyn said with a smirk. After they got done packing and playing their stuff in the car Jacqulyn gave her daughter Rachel a list of things to do and not to do also some emergency numbers including Rachel's mom and dad phone number Rachel was in charge of keeping an eye on the young pups Rachel's boyfriend Johnny was also there to help Rachel with her siblings. After flashheart and Jacqulyn both left to go to the mountains they had a few pit stops along the way The first pit stop was to get some road trip snacks and drinks (cuz you know can't go on a road trip without road trip snacks and drinks) the second pit stop was to go to the bathroom flashheart drink too much water while Jacqulyn had to go to the bathroom cuz she also drink too much water the third and final pit stop was to eat some lunch and get some groceries out of store for dinner and a few weeks of groceries. After 4 hours of driving they finally arrived at the cabin and after unpacking their stuff in their drawers in the cabin in their room it was getting dark. {What do you want to eat for dinner tonight flashheart} [I don't know what do we have] Jacqulyn looked in the fridge to see what was in it of course they put the groceries in the fridge but not all the groceries and saw there were two medium steaks and she had a very good idea {why don't we have steaks for dinner tonight} [that sounds like a good idea want me to cook them tonight Jacqulyn] Jacqulyn nodded to her husband after they ate dinner they brushed their teeth and got ready for bed. When flashheart was lying down on the bed his eyes widened when he saw his wife in lingerie he knew him and his wife hadn't had sex since they had their son Liam and this was the perfect time for him and his wife to have sex. When Jacqulyn crawled on the bed towards her husband they both began to kiss, after he didn't make out session they tore each other's clothes off and flashheart spread his wife's legs and began to do cunnilingus on her it has been so long since Jacqulyn felt that much pleasure. After she came on his face flashheart put his big cock inside her pussy and began to thrust. After they had hot steamy sex they both took a minute to breathe they then both cuddled and went to sleep. They both had pancakes and eggs Jacqulyn couldn't help but smile and laugh after remembering the pleasurable night she had with her husband her husband was the same thing he then grabbed her hand gently and kissed her knuckles he and his wife will surely remember this for the rest of their lives. After weeks of vacation they both headed back home and have a wonderful day with their family.
So I hope you all liked it also if you have any requests just request any fanfics

Genshin character as animals, and little things about them.
SFW, fluff, mentions of angst (but not a lot)
Mentions of abuse, alcohol, a kidnapper, being stalked, sexual, blood, finger being bit off, injury, hunting season, mentioned of being robbed, someone breaking in, mentions of someone almost getting k*lled, one ran away, another for separating anxiety.
This was inspired by my besties and some of the scenarios in the fanfic was also written by them. (づ。◕‿‿◕。)づ both males and females, you live in a house for this (not an apartment or something)
Master list here
Amber - Bunny
She always runs circles around your feet whenever you come home from work, it's been a long day of dealing with the 'babysitter' all she want to do is to play with you! But don't worry you will have fun
Kaeya - Tuxedo Cat
He is the type to push things off the countertop, he is like "oh this glass right beside me, now it's on the floor"(obviously meowing what he is saying) but he won't if he sees you had a bad day at work, so instead you get tackled with the purring
Lisa - Macaw
She figured out that you had a bookshelf in the living room, and now she spends most of her time there, sometime she makes you read to her or she tryed to read to you (yeah that usally never works) but she now reads bed time story's to the kids every night.
Barbara - Canary
Every Sunday there is this choir that's always sings and Barbara started to tweet to the song they were singing, she knows the song word from word and what time it exactly starts and finishes. She started waking you up just for you to turn on the tv so she can sing to the other animals, sometimes Yun Jin and venti joins in and maybe even xingyan
Razor - Husky
This boy HOWLS when taking a bath, like full on barks and tries to get away to the point Bennett and fischl needs to be in the bath with him so he is calmer and plays with them long enough to get the shampoo out of his fluff
Fischl - Leopard Gecko
She always spends time with Bennett and razor, she is also one who will act out scenarios with Bennett and razor, like fighting bandits or fighting mutated plants, but always puts their game on pause just for lunch then when done immediately start playing where they left off.
Bennett - Lop Earred Bunny
He absolutely loves it when you play with his floppy ears, like putting a bow on it or just lifting them up and down, it's nice to know that you're enjoying time with the bunny and how his bad luck doesn't affect you or anyone in the house!! So there is more opportunities to play with the others
Noelle - Golden Retriever
Evey Morning you see her carrying all the children on her back then bringing them to there spots to be fed, she just to so nice that alot the kids could just sleep on her and she wouldn't mind!! She sometime dusts dressers with her tail like it's a feather duster and it works, no more sneezing for anyone.
Sucrose - Bunny
Once you took her to a strawberry farm and you picked them just to watcher her eat the strawberrys, they were the nice and sweet ones and she loved them so much the you bought one of the plants so now there is a strawberry bush in the house and she always eats from them and shares with the rest of the animals
Jean - German Shepherd
She is always the one to break up fights (mainly Childe vs someone) and is the one to put them in the time out corner or time out box. She is always like mother hen and responsible to the others, she barely gets any sleep at night so you started to bring her to the bed just to make her lay down and get some sleep thinking she didn't like her bed. That wasn't the case but she did finally sleep for once and down that's her main spot
Diluc - Maine Coon Cat
Unlike his brother he is responsible and spends most of his time patrolling outside to make sure no robbers get in at both night and day. But still sometimes you got to pull out the treat trap, (it's just placing down treats then picking him up once he ate them) it worked. And you also just like Jean put him on the bed to sleep the took one of your pillows but now that's covered in fur.
Venti - Cockateil
This bird always got to wake you up at MIDNIGHT just to sing you a song he learned from a book that Lisa read to him, he also takes plastic cups and bang them up and against another one to make noises just to sing to them, the neighbors though it was you and walked over to complain just to see it was venti with plastic cups, also you have him one of those toy drums and he never stops plying with it.
Klee - Pomeranian
She loves bath time, because she not only gets to play with toys but because you introduced bath bombs to her, at first she got disappointed because it wasn't what she thought it was but when it turned all pretty colors and a toy came out she was happy again. Can't take baths without them now
Diona - Calico Cat
You found her one day eating trash out of a garbage bag, she looked so skinny fur was knotted and was full of fleas. You were going to return her to her home but when you found the address you realized it was that abusive toxic house down the street, immediately taking her home with you because you know she would just get worse and no animal or person who didn't do anything wrong deserves that, ever since that (and a whole lot of trips to the vet)she had gotten really healthy and happy.
Albedo - Collie
He is always the one dealing with klee's shenanigans and spends alot of his time painting, you been amazed at his art skills you brought him to an artist studio to show off his work and for other artists to watch him paint, after that he was not only in the news but also some of his art was sent to an art museum with context so now he is an artist celebrity and famous.
Rosaria - the bat that stays in a tree outside
It was a rainy day when someone cough cough diluc found something in the window trying to get into the house, you opened the window to see a soaked bat fly into the house and immediately go to sleep near the fireplace, you are going to get the broom but then realized it was only finding shelter from the rain so you let it stayed, and ever since then you had an extra set of eyes patrolling the house at night.
Eula - Persian Cat
You also saved her from an abusive home, she bites everyone who isn't you trying to pet her and she will draw blood with her bites, but she also acts like she doesn't care for you but right when you give her any sort of affection she is purring and rubbing up and against your legs
Xiangling - Corgi
She always got to be in the kitchen with you, she also helps you by bringing the food to the others and when cooking for yourself she always gets you ingredients in the fridge att her level. It's adorable to see her walking over all happy with a tomato bag in her mouth and she always gets free food (that is good for her) from food trucks.
Beidou - Doberman
She is loved by the children, and I mean loved! She has alot of energy but she is trained enough to go to childrens hospitals and visit sick kids, it make it good with her having barely any fur so if any kid has allergies there wouldn't be any problem! But she is adored by the kids and always loves to make there days better, usally every Wednesday is when you visit with her, even a kid make her a flower crown that she refuses to take off when visiting the kids.
Xingqiu - Cockatoo
He always is hanging around chongyun but never when shenhe is there, but usally he always puts a sheet over his head and scares the daylight out of chongyun, he also flicks the light switch off and on to scare you especially after watching a horror movie. But he always stops once he realized you started crying.
Ningguang - Sieamese Cat
She always swats beidou away, and spends most of her days cleaning her fur, she also Steals your jewelry (if you have any) and wear it, also if you give her any money she will hiss if you try to take it away, you do t know why i guess she just likes money and having it spent on her because the only times she purred it was when you spent over 700 dollars on a pet groomer to wash then trim her fur.
Chongyun - Domestic Short Haired Cat
He always gets scared of little things, he probably only watches the ghost Busters move to see the ghost loose, he also gets really protective when something is happening like the lights flickering on and off (I wonder who was doing that) he also really loves eating with shenhe she always makes sure there is no spice in the food, sometimes shenhe stared you down when making it.
Qiqi - Finch
She always gets attacked by hu tao so you always have Xiao watching her, he became an older brother to her and would refuse to leave her alone to get something, but he does, Qiqi always follows Xiao to where you called him just to sit on ether his or your head. Sometimes she plays with the other kids. She loves milk and always cheeps at you whenever she wants it, she also got the other animals to remember things for her, like when it's time for lunch, breakfast or dinner.
Mona - Axolotl
She shares a bowl with kokomi, and loves to look up at the stars at night time, so much that you take her out with kokomi to look up at them outside, once it was going to be a meteor shower at night so you got a tent on all set up and everything in the backyard and brought her out in the spare fish bowl with you, she was curious at what's going on till you pointed to the sky, she immediately fell in love with the show, she didn't blinked once during it because she didn't want to miss anything, she went to sleep knowing that next time that is going to happen she will be watching it again, and she already can't wait.
Keqing - Sieamese Cat
People always forgets she is even there when visiting so you always are holding her when the kids or your friends visit, she also hangs around Xiangling ningguang and ganyu, that's really it, she is really shy to go near zhongli though, so sometimes you put her food next to his to get her use to him, it worked because now she will go up to him and they will start to talk, she also watches you cook whenever you're cooking golden shrimp balls, to the point where you make them cat friendly and allow her to taste test them. She tends to be more affectionate whenever she gets to eat the golden shrimp balls.
Xinyan - Beagle
She always howls to the radio whenever she is in the car, her favorite genre is rock and heavy metal so you got some on Spotify for her, other people always laughs at the fact she sings to songs that is just screaming but still compliments her when the song ends, some kids are afraid to approach her but one time one of the kids lost there toy and xinyan found it and brought it to them, now she always it there to help kids who lost something at the playground and to sing songs with them and scream whenever they go far up in the swings. You're happy she is made more friends, she also protected a kid from a frog and is still proud to this day.
Zhongli - Bearded Dragon
He might be elderly but do not underestimate him, that what Tartaglia (tries to) tell you evey time you pick up zhongli to get a nice warm spot on the counter so he can sunbathe and relax with the warmth of your hand patting him, then giving tartaglia the stinky eye and sticking out his toungh at him. Once he got down though tartaglia tryed to fight him, and Tartaglia got flung in to the wall by a tail, zhongli was sent to time out for a while, but got out just in time for bed.
Ganyu - Highland Sheep
She loves when the children all play with her, sometimes she gives them rides like she would have the kid settled on her back then, having ahold of her horns then she would slowly walk around the back yard. They always get to help bathe her, brush her and dress her up with bows with bells on them.
Xiao - Screech Owl
Owns number one for patrolling the house, and it the best to respond to his name on any 'ouch' from another room, like one time you were chopping carrots and you cut yourself on accident and before you got out the ouch he was right there with bandaids, and if your in your room he and be downstairs and you whisper his name you can hear aggressive flapping of wings coming closer at the seconds then he emerges from the door and sits down next to you. He gets alot of Pats and forehead kisses.
Hu Tao - a black cat that sometimes watches you sleep
She usually is the one to drink out of kokomi's or Mona's bowl, she is the worse ankle bitter, and she figured out how to use the breaker box so now watching a horror movie she teams up with xingqiu and scares the living daylights out of everyone, the only difference is that unlike xingqiu when you start to cry she won't stop, zhongli is usally the one to fling her with his tail or just smack her over the head with it, they way of saying sorry to to watch your every move when you sleep after that, which makes you cry because all you feel is eyes on you and she is smacked again, she was sleeping in the spare room for a while after that .
Yanfei - Deer
You find her in the back woods with an injured leg during deer hunting season and decided to take her in for safety and for her leg to heal, during this time all the others knew she is going though something traumatic and help her slowly to recover, her leg finished healing by the end of hunting season so you helped her walk around outside with ganyu and aloy, she she was fully ready to go out on her own you feel so happy for her yet sad she left, but the next day she was back with a blueberry bush, apparently she left to get her favorite bush to bring to back as not only a thank you gift but also an 'now I don't have a reason to leave again' . She spend most of her time with the pets who finished fighting over something and figuring how to solve it, like they fought over the bone how about each of you gets a side and share it, it always worked.
Yun Jin - Canary
She love to watch the opera shows on tv, she also can be shy, but would still sing to your friends, they always compliment her on her singing, and the same friends bought you tickets to see Phantom of the opera and you guys might of snuck in Yun Jin with you and told her if she wanted to watch it she needs to stay quiet and she did, by the end of the opera it looked like she was about to burst into tears, she might of also flew off to 'talk' to the actors, it's fine though because they loved her and loves her singing voice of 'music of the night', you guys went home with a happy Yun Jin with some autographs.
Shenhe - Snowy Owl
She broke into your house at night and set off all the animals, you were going to put her outside but all she was going was eating your flowers and immediately chongyun went up to her and she started to pick through his fur and you just couldn't bear the thought of letting her go because chongyun already sucks uo to her like she is his aunt or something, now there is a new addition to the family
Kazuha - Chameleon
He loves the summer breeze on him, that's nice warm sun warming him up when a nice refreshing cool breeze passes by so he doesn't overheat, it's just perfect for him to lie down and take a nap right there, sometimes you'll be sleeping on your head when you're out in the garden, he is so quiet you don't even know he is there until he crawled on your arm to eat a little bit of the veggie plant your harvesting from, he also likes to lay on a maple leafs and take there red colour. You are least got a mini branch with leaves on them for him
Ayaka - Ragdoll Cat
She always stays right beside ayato and Thoma, like she would coward whenever someone approached her, but then she made friends with all the other animals (mainly the cryo's) and now she is more socially she is still scared of some people visiting but that's mainly people she don't like the mail man not your friends or the neighbors kids she is ok with them. And mainly you
Sayu - Hedgehog
She always is watching your friend play Sonic the hedgehog even though she falls asleep in the middle of the gameplay she still wakes up enough time to watch your friend finish the game, she also tends to fall asleep when doing anything, like eating, taking a bath, playing with the others. You put her on a sleep schedule now she sleeps at night and after lunch takes a nap for 2 hours, after a week she wasn't fall asleep where she stood anymore.
Yoimiya - Jack Russell Terrier
She is the the only dog besides klee who loves watching fireworks and not get scared of them, you usally take her out for a walk on nights like this or to bring her to a firework show, whenever you take her to the show all the kids love her and asked to play with her or feed her treats. So usally you have a good 15 kids sitting around you all watching the show with her.
Sara - a bird you sometimes feed
She was just some random crow looking for food so you fed her, and then days of that you started to train her and now you have a pet crow who knows to attack and caw at people when you say "GET OUT" or "LEAVE ME ALONE" it's funny to see some of your friends are scared of the crow, but all in all really friendly and protective, she also gets snacks from the counter to give to Ei.
Ei - "I swear she's around here somewhere, she just doesn't like people" Bob Tailed Cat
One time she went missing for a week and you found her on the street and took her home, the only thing that the next day she returned so you now have 2 of the same cat in your house and one of them is yours you figured out which one was Which because Ei immediately went for Miko but now she isn't allowed to leave for weeks again.
Kokomi - Betta Fish
She spits rocks at you when you are getting stressed, she is also one of the best pets to listen to your worries because she will be there to help to the best of her abilities, gorou also sleeps next to her to make sure no cars drink from the bowl so she always gets protection from you and him, so she has to listen to you in return
Thoma - Orange Tabby
He goes around outside and picks up garbage, it's kind of funny because once there was a elementary school doing the earth day thing and picking up garbage and he joined the kids now evey earth day they draw him as a mascot so you have to bring him to the school.
Gorou - Shiba Inu/Corgi Mix
Gorou loves car rides, whenever you say the words car he is already at the door and tail wagging like a windmill and leash in his mouth. He is allowed to sit in the front seat and allowed the window down unlike some other dogs (itto, klee etc) but whenever you get to a red light there always someone with there phones out recording gorou and babying him, and he loves it
Itto - Rottweiler
One time you brought him to a dog park when there was a kidnapper on the loose, you let him off leash to play with the other dogs, but halfway he jumped the fence and immediately bit someone, apparently that someone was the kidnapper and they were so close to getting a girl in the car, but itto intervened and saved the girl. The police arrived shortly to see the kidnapper being dragged around by a ginormous dog, itto was rewarded by the police for saving a girl from being kidnapped, but also stopping and catching the person. Whenever you visit that park with itto kids play with him when adults take pictures of them, itto is a hero
Miko - Marbled Fox (one of the only foxes you can have as a pet)
She is another prankster and an ankle biter, she hides under the couch just so she can swat or bite at you ankles and it gets you everytime, whenever someone comes over she always chases Ei from her hiding spot and just follow her around, she also pushes the shampoo bottles down whenever you take a shower and it always makes you jump and she just laughs in return, but you still love her so you deal with it
Ayato - Chow Chow
He always manages to piss off Miko alot of the time and sometimes you, like how one time he sat in your spot on the couch (which is right infront of the tv and the table) and refused to move so you had to sit at the other end always reaching over to grab your snack and having to watch the tv in an uncomfortable way, he also would kick the table so you drink spilled all over you and the snack is on the floor, once you had enough you just turned off the tv and went to your room to sleep and he did follow you once he realized he went to far, he did try to apologize which at first you didn't accept so he came back with another snack and drink then you forgave him.
Tartaglia - Orange Tabby
He is always the one getting into fights, wether it's the neighbors cats, there dog, the mailman, the person who jogs past every day, he just does. He spent the most time in the time out corner and killed the most mice out of the cats, he sees everyone as family so he isn't allowing a rat infestation or someone to break in, because he did bite someone's finger off because they made you uncomfortable and then tryed to grab you so he bit them, yes he was rewarded with his favorite meal and alot of kisses for that, but that proves he ain't taking anything happening to his family
Aloy - a bear that broke into your car once
Yeah, the reason she broke in was because she saw someone enter your car with chloroform and a cloth so she followed you from the woods to your house and when the person was about to attack she walked up to it and scared them away and saved you. So now you have a bear living in your backyard, all the other love her because she saved you (instant respect) and so you sleep outside in the summers with her, and whenever the neighbors kids come over you pay a person to train the kids what to do if you encounter a bear in the woods, they always got aloy to do different scenarios and act like different types of bears. So far all the kids now know how to protect themselves from the bad bears and okay with the good ones
Scaramouche - Ball Python
You found him protecting a bleeding kid from thugs in an alleyway, you did steps in and take the kid to a hospital and had to take scaramouche home, now you guys visit the children's hospital with both beidou and scara, when beidou is in the other rooms you visit the kid with scara, the kid loves when you visit because you both saved them, you also visit elderly home with him so the elderly can see and touch a snake that curls up on there laps and allows then to Boop his nose.
Signora - Siberian Cat
She is the cat to randomly enter the house and refuse to leave, she sits on the up of the shelf and ignores everything around her, she has also attacked venti, and refused to go to the corner! So Ei had to watch over her, she did listen and stayed when Ei was there so know you know that signora is scared or Ei for some reason.
Lumine - Australian Shepherd
She once got out of the house and ran into a forest alone, she got lost and then was found by someone who took her in the realization hit them that's she had a collar and there was an address on it, they brought her home a while after that, but since then she really wants to go on another adventure but her brother keeps stoping her, now she just allows him to follow her, she knows how lonely he was so she always stayed near him.
Aether - Border Collie
He always hangs out with lumine and paimon, he seems to have separation anxiety and always needs to be right beside his sister, when you first adopted them both the owner said that one time lumine went missing for a half of a year and then we're going to be came back and he never left her side again. You always make sure there food bowls are next to eachother and to take them both on a walk at the same time.
Paimon - bumblebee
She spend most of her time with aether and lumine but also at the kitchen, she loves to pollinate the flowers in the backyard and the strawberry plant inside the house. You Started having a little bee farm and collected the honey. But she loves the strawberry plant, it gives off the most and sweetest pollen to her,
Dainsleif - Samoyed
He is always the one to look the friendliest but is one of the top 5 dangerous out of them all, he won't ever hesitate to attack if someone broke in or if anyone layed a had on you in a violent or non consensual way, he will not and I mean NOT take any of that, he would have k*lled them if you weren't there to tell him no and what would happen if he did, but once you get home he immediately comforts you, all the other animals even Singora would come to cuddle you but if you wanted space he will tell them to back off and if you wanted to be alone he will gard the door with his life.
Dottore - a weasel that has stolen your car keys once
Yeah that was a fun experience. You were late to work because someone stole your car keys you did find him an hour later though going through your garden and got the car keys back, you just picked him up and placed him in the house. Diluc didn't like him and he still don't trust him, dottore started trying to steal every piece of jewelry in the house but evey time diluc caught him ether in the act or trying to get away, and diluc stoped him each time. When you got home dottore was staring diluc down, you kept him in the house it's just that they are NEVER EVER allowed to be in the same room, he also picks on tartaglia, signora, and scaramouche.

Crosshair X Fem!Reader FanFic
My Favorite Meal
I had dirty thoughts of Crosshair’s 5 o’clock shadow and wrote a little smutty fic about it because what else would I do?
Master List
Warnings:
Not Good For Work, Adult Age+, mouth stuff fem receiving
Ever since you and the Batch rescued Crosshair from the Empire, he begged to have you for every meal. He complained about how he had been forced to eat nothing but the disgusting regulated food from the Kaminoans, and that he wanted something good. He told you how he wanted to taste nothing but your lips, your body, your juices, for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and every snack in between.
That’s how you ended up being his breakfast today.
You let out a raspy groan as his tongue danced over your folds, dragging slowly up your center. His stubble grazed against your thigh as he moved back down to lick again.
“Crosshair…” you moaned, causing him to slowly lift his head again, the short hairs on his chin grazing your folds as he did.
“Yes, cyar’ika?” He asked, his groggy morning voice sending shivers down your spine.
“Kriff, I’m barely awake, can’t this-“ your sentence was cut off by another moan as he used his nose to spread open your folds, giving his tongue better access to you.
“You were saying?” He mumbled against you, your thighs tightening against his head for a second before relaxing as he slipped his tongue in your entrance.
“Mmm, n-not important,” you muttered out, eyes closed tight as you focused on his actions. He drug his tongue up until it glided over your clit, where he sucked hungrily, pulling more sounds of pleasure from your throat.
His stubble grazed you again as he tilted his head to look at you, face scrunched as you allowed him to take his meal. He let his tongue slip out of his mouth and back into you, going as deep as he could. His nose pressed against your clit as he fucked you with his mouth, licking and sucking anything he could. He did it sloppily, not caring to put on a show. He was hungry, starving, and he didn’t want to wait.
“Cross…” you moaned as his tongue seemed to reach deeper inside you. “Maker…you’re too good…must be so hungry.” He groaned into you in response, the vibrations adding to your pleasure.
“Kriff, Cross, I’m so close…”
He began working faster, sloppier. He slipped his hands up to grip your waist, keeping your body as close to his mouth as he could get it. The wet sounds mixed with his hot breath on you were only adding to the pleasure you were receiving from the sensation of his tongue going between fucking your entrance and clit.
“Cross- I’m, kriff, I’m coming!” You were barely able to get your words out before he gave one last suck, causing you to spill your juices all over his tongue and chin. He hungrily licked it all up, making noise as if to prove a point. When he finished cleaning you up with his mouth, he lifted his head, 5 o’clock shadow of his facial hair brushing at your thighs. You opened your eyes and looked down at him, a smirk plastered to his lips as his chin hair sparkled with your juices.
“You’re still my favorite meal,” he said, moving up to hover above you.
“Now, what would you like for breakfast, cyar’ika? Food, or me?”

It had been a long day.
They hadn’t done jack shit, but a long day nonetheless, thanks to the run in with Tomas.
After eating lunch, Cassian had taken Nyx out to the pool, letting him float around in his little inner tube and splash in the water. He kept a close eye on him and he wasn’t sure he’d heard so many giggles from the little dude in months.
Not even fifteen minutes after they’d come out, Nesta decided to join them, though it wasn’t to play and splash like Nyx. No, she brought a book hat, and tanning oil, but Nyx squealed his delight when he saw her regardless.
After some goading and thinly veiled threats to splash her smutty book if she didn’t get in, Nesta relented and Nyx had the time of his life.
Until he got chlorine in his eye and had a meltdown.
Just like that, pool time was over, and after taking him inside and getting changed, Cassian was lounging on the couch while Nyx played on the floor.
Nesta started up the stairs and said, “I think I’m going to take a bath. Relax from…earlier.”
From that piece of shit Tomas and the things he’d said. Cassian wished he’d of at least said something, but he most wished he’d have throttled him.
Cassian simply nodded and Nesta was off, hurrying up the stairs and shimmying out of her bikini once she closed herself inside of the master bathroom.
She hadn’t been in the warm water with her eyes closed for five minutes before a horrid sound came from downstairs.
One word screamed at the top of Cassian’s lungs, her name.
“NESTA!”
For a moment, she thought she had imagined it. But, then he screamed again.
“NESTA!”
She shot up in the tub and was about to yell back, when she heard, “COME QUICK!”
Panic rose in the pit of her stomach as she jumped out of the tub and wrapped a towel around her wet body as she threw open the bathroom door. “I’m coming! I’m coming! What happened?! What’s wrong?!”
“Come on, come on, come on!” Cassian yelled, but it wasn’t fear in his voice - only excitement. “Hurry, before you miss him!”
Nesta rounded the top of the stairs, and froze. A few feet in front of Cassian, on his own two feet, was Nyx, taking slow, steady steps toward his uncle.
Her feet carried her down the stairs in a flash and she was next to Cassian, on her knees, just like he was. At the appearance of his aunt, he grinned, those angelic cheeks rounding out and reached for her.
And he tumbled down.
“Shit,” Cassian muttered and lifted him back onto his unsteady feet, praying they weren’t about to have more tears. But the dark blue eyes that gazed up at him were not tear-filled, just wide and curious as always.
Taking a few more tentative steps, he reached them, leaning into Cassian, but a hand reaching out to take Nesta’s as he animatedly spoke in his own baby language.
“Good job, bubba,” Nesta cried, hoisting him up into her arms and crushing him in a hug. “Such a big boy.”
Nyx giggled and wiggled to be put down.
He wasn’t done just yet.
His feet hit the ground and he was off. He walked from Nesta to Cassian then back again. Every time he fell down, he got right back up and kept on moving.
“Look at you go, buddy,” Cassian laughed, catching Nyx as he made it to him.
“Think he’ll sleep good tonight?” Nesta asked, watching them both with a smile on her face.
“I hope so,” he chuckled, letting Nyx pat him on the face, grinning up at him.
He meandered back across the room, plopping down at his toys and began playing again.
“And I guess we’re done with that,” he laughed, standing up and shaking his head. “He finally walked.”
“Sixteen months,” she sighed, propping a hip on the side of the couch. “I was starting to think he’d never do it.”
“Me either,” he said, sitting down. He glanced up at her—and froze.
He’d completely forgotten she was wearing nothing but a towel.
“Didn’t we have a rule about coming down here nude?” Cassian asked, under his breath.
Nesta’s eyes darted to his. “Pardon?”
His eyebrows raised and he gestured to her towel, and Nesta looked down, as if she had completely forgotten that she was wearing it, too. “Oh, shit, sorry. I was in such a hurry to come downstairs-.”
“I mean, I don’t blame you-.”
“I could’ve put on something-.”
“I was screaming your name-.”
“Screaming my name,” Nesta repeated, her cheeks heating. Last time Cassian had screamed her name, it had been under very, very different context.
Although, she had been wearing little to nothing then, too.
The memories flashed through her mind, and from the way Cassian was watching her, she assumed that they were flashing through his, too.
She watched as his throat bobbed and his eyes left hers, dragging down her body as if he couldn’t stop himself. He met her gaze again and she felt her cheeks heating. Her cheeks, her ears, her neck, her entire body heated under that gaze.
“I’m going to…” She hooked a thumb over her shoulder, towards the stairs. “Finish my bath, I guess.”
“Right,” Cassian replied, his eyes still on her. “I’ll put him down in just a few minutes.”
She glanced over at the baby as she backed up toward the stairs. Nyx was indeed starting to rub his eyes, and noticing Nesta’s attention on him, he yawned and reached for her.
Before she could cross the room, Cassian was on his feet and picking Nyx up.
“I can take him,” she protested, but he shook his head, not looking at her.
“You go relax. I’ve got him.”
Nesta cleared her throat and nodded, convincing herself to say nothing more as she hurried up the stairs, clinging to her towel.
She settled back into the bath, even though the water had chilled.
She couldn’t control her breathing.
She thought of that time when he’d caught her in the bath before, right after they had moved in, when he caught her doing intimate things with herself, alone.
Then she thought of the immense amount of pleasure that he’d given her, and how nothing and no one had ever compared to it.
Her heart began to beat a little bit faster, and a throbbing formed between her thighs.
She wondered if Cassian ever caught himself thinking about it, if he ever wanted to do it again.
Judging by the look in his eyes downstairs, the intense way he had been watching her…
Nesta pulled herself out of the tub.
She dressed and pulled her hair into a ponytail atop her head, but couldn’t decide if going downstairs would be a good or bad idea. She couldn’t decide if being around him right now was a smart decision, not when the thoughts in her head were so distracting she couldn’t even focus on the laundry she had neglected to fold for a few days.
Her phone vibrated where she’d plugged it in on her nightstand and Balthazar’s name lit up the screen.
That was another reason she couldn’t allow herself to entertain the thoughts constantly running through her head. She and Bal weren’t in a relationship, they were in no way exclusive and hadn’t had that conversation, but Nesta wasn’t the type to date—or in this case, sleep with—two men at once.
She could hear Cassian down in the living room again, no doubt cleaning up Nyx’s toys and settling down with a beer. She wanted to join him, wanted to curl up on the other side if the couch with a glass of wine and listen to him commentate whatever stupid show or game he was watching.
But she knew that wasn’t a good idea.
So she laid down on her bed, grabbed the book from her nightstand, and read until all of those emotions that Cassian made her feel faded into the back of her mind where she told them to stay.
*
The next morning, Cassian was on Nyx duty. Since he had the day off, the nanny didn’t have to come, which meant bro time.
First, they went for a jog along the Sidra where both Nyx and Cassian got their fair share of looks from the ladies. Turns out a cute kid was a great way to gain the attention of beautiful women.
On the way back home, Cassian decided to make a detour for some lunch, and ended up pushing the jogging stroller right into Nesta’s restaurant.
He knew where it was, and knew that Nesta was a damn good cook, but somehow, he hadn’t visited the restaurant in the over four months they’d been living together.
It was packed, to absolutely no surprise and when he walked in, he was greeted by an amazing array of delicious smells. Quickly realizing the stroller was going to be a hindrance, he parked it in the corner by the door and held Nyx as he made his way into one of the sitting areas.
“It’s open seating, so please, sit where you like.”
Cassian turned as a deep voice spoke from behind him. The man was watching him, and when he turned, his eyes fell on Nyx. Recognition lit them up for a moment, Nesta having brought Nyx into the restaurant more than once.
“Thanks. Is Nesta free?”
“Last I saw, she was helping out in the kitchen, but I’ll check. Take a seat and I’ll be back.”
Cassian nodded and the man was gone, disappearing through a swinging door to the back.
Indeed, Nesta was manning the grill, an assortment of sandwiches, meats, pancakes and other items sizzling around her. She was reading order tickets and communicating with her line cooks, and everything was exactly as it should be.
Until Helion was leaning on the wall next to her.
She groaned. “Tell me it’s not the lady who claims to find a hair in her food every time she’s here.”
The patron in question was in the dining room, a brunch buffet spread out before her and her friends. Her curly, red hair was piled on top of her head and without fail, she always seemed to find a lone, red, curling hair in her dishes, no matter what she ate and who was in the kitchen. Even though Nesta had no one in her employment with curly, red hair.
“Oh, no,” Helion said, his smirk growing. “There’s a handsome man out front asking for you.”
Balthazar.
Nesta groaned. Even though she didn’t mean to. “Let him know I’m busy, but I’ll be out in just a minute.”
“It’s not him,” he replied, practically singing the words. “This one has a very cute baby with him.”
She was moving before he’d finished speaking, hollering at one of her cooks to take up her place on the line.
When she went into the dining room, Cassian was sitting in a booth, Nyx in a high chair at the end of the table next to him.
“What a pleasant surprise,” Nesta crooned as she approached.
Nyx’s head whipped around at the familiar voice as Cassian looked up from his menu. Nesta was lifting Nyx out of the high chair when Cassian said, “We were out and about. Someone was hungry.”
Nesta chuckled. “Was that someone you or the baby?”
“Fine,” Cassian said, grinning. “Two someones were hungry.”
Nesta snorted as she kissed Nyx’s cheek. “Couldn't have cleaned up before coming in here?” She asked, nodding to Cassian’s damp t-shirt.
He shrugged his shoulder. “This was on the way home. You should be glad we graced you with our presence.”
“Right,” she laughed softly, sitting Nyx back in the high chair and buckling him in. “Any idea what you want?”
He was flipping through the menu, and honestly, every damn thing he saw looked delicious. He smiled up at her. “Surprise us. I can’t choose.”
Smirking, she took his menu and said, “Chicken livers and brussel sprouts, coming right up.”
He rolled his eyes as she walked away, but she entered their order into the system and returned to the table, sitting down in the empty booth seat across from him.
“He have a good morning?” She asked, holding Nyx’s outstretched hand and letting him grip her thumb. He shook her hand as hard as he could and grinned up at her, babbling excitedly.
“Aside from the blow out he had this morning, I’d say so. Which he found very amusing that I had to clean up” Cassian chuckled, rolling his eyes. “This is the only kid who laughs while he’s covered in shit, I swear.”
Nesta shook her head, laughing softly.
Cassian took the chance to look around. “This place is great, Nes. The only thing it’s missing is a bar.”
Nesta looked around with him and nodded. “I’ve thought about it quite a bit. Don’t wanna mess with licensing. I’ve already got too much on my plate around here.”
Cassian cocked his head to the side. “You just gotta get someone to run the bar, that’s all. You don’t have to do everything on your own, you know.”
Nesta looked back to Cassian. “Someone like you?”
“Handsome, smart, with a high knowledge of what it takes to run a bar?” He asked. “Yeah, someone like me.”
She narrowed her eyes and nudged his shin with the toe of her shoe. “Don’t get too cocky. If you decide to leave your bar and want a new project… Sure, I’ll add a bar.”
Cassian blinked. “I can’t tell if you’re messing with me or not.”
Nesta shook her head. “I’m always serious.”
“At one time, I thought that was true,” Cassian muttered.
His shin got another nudge.
“I’m serious,” she repeated, with a quiet laugh. “Shockingly enough, you’d be one of the few people I trust to let into my management.”
He stayed quiet for a minute, long enough that she glanced at him from where she’d been looking at Nyx. He was chewing on his bottom lip and she had to physically restrain herself from reaching over and working it out from between his teeth. Feeling her attention on him, he looked at her, and said, “We’ll talk about it more at home, yeah?”
Nodding, Nesta replied, “Of course. But don’t just do it because I said something, I don’t want-.”
“I’ve actually been thinking about opening my own place for while,” he murmured, and then quickly added, “Not that this would be my place, it’s yours, of course. But I’ve got savings. I can help with any applications and licensing and renovations that need to be done. Not to mention, it would be an investment in a growing business. That always looks good in a portfolio.”
Nesta smiled. “Like you said, we’ll talk about it at home. I’m gonna go check on your food.”
“Please do,” Cassian said, waving her away. “I’m starving.”
With a roll of her eyes, she stood up and walked toward the kitchen, shoving Cassian’s sweaty head as she walked by him.
Helion was waiting by the kitchen doors. “Flirting, how cute. It’s like watching two horny teenagers.”
“Fuck off,” Nesta muttered.
Helion only grinned and followed her into the kitchen. “Admit it. You’ve got the hots for hot uncle.”
“I can fire you, you know,” Nesta said.
“You wouldn’t,” he said, right on her heels. “You’d be bored to death here without me.”
She didn’t need to bother telling him he was right. On either front.
*
Nesta was beat by the time she got off. It was an effort of will to make it home before she fell asleep, but as she parked her car in the driveway, she nearly sighed in relief. Cassian had said he’d handle dinner, so she knew that a glass of wine—and hopefully, an uninterrupted bath—was in her future.
She hadn’t expected to find Cassian on his hands and knees as soon as she came in the door.
He looked up at her, eyes wide and said, “Uh, hey. You’re home.”
“I am,” she replied, chuckling. “What are you doing?”
He hesitated before saying, “Playing hide and seek with Nyx.”
Nesta blinked. “Hide and-? Cassian, he’s one.”
“I left him on the floor with his toys and I went into the kitchen for thirty seconds to check on dinner,” he said, standing up.
She waited for him to go on, not understanding. And then her eyes widened. “You lost him?”
“He’s not lost,” he said, holding his hands up. “We’re playing hide and seek.”
“Cassian-.”
“He’s one, Nesta, he couldn’t have gone far-.”
“He walks now!” She cried, tossing her purse on the bench by the door and hurrying into the living room.
A giggle sounded from the other room, and they both sped around the corner where Nyx had made himself perfectly happy.
In the laundry room, Nyx sat in a pile of Nesta’s laundry, waving her underwear in the air.
As Nesta let out a relieved breath, Cassian chuckled. “Atta boy.”
Nesta whacked Cassian on the shoulder before picking Nyx up and freeing her panties from his grasp.
He immediately started crying.
“Way to take his toy away,” Cassian muttered.
Nesta shot him a look.
Cassian shrugged. “I would’ve cried, too.”
Nesta tried her best not to laugh, but failed. “You’re ridiculous.”
Cassian opened his mouth to reply, but the smoke alarm near the kitchen began to blare.
Nyx’s cries got louder and Nesta stopped Cassian, giving Nyx to him and hurried into the kitchen, pulling a pan of burnt French fries out of the oven and opened the back door and the door leading to the garage. She got a kitchen towel and was waving the smoky air away from the smoke alarm, and after a minute or two, the incessant blaring ceased.
Leaning back against the counter, she took a deep breath and looked at the doorway, finding Cassian standing there, Nyx still in his arms, though the tears had stopped. He was cringing, expecting her to start yelling any moment—.
But Nesta took one look at the charred French fries and started laughing. Deep, belly laughs that made her stomach hurt so badly she doubled over.
Cassian turned to the living room, getting Nyx set up in his playpen, and walked back into the kitchen, where Nesta was still laughing with her hands on her knees, trying to get air down.
“You find something funny, Archeron?” He asked, pausing in front of her. Even he was unable to stop the small smile on his face.
“French fries?” she asked, unable to catch her breath. “You— You burnt frozen french fries? How long have they been in there? Two hours?”
Cassian looked behind him at the clock on the stove and rubbed the back of his neck. “I like them crispy.”
“Oh, they’re crispy,” Nesta promised, straightening her back, small bouts of laughter still finding their way out. “They’re really damn crispy.”
“Shut up,” he muttered, shaking his head. He pulled a series of paper towels off the stovetop and revealed a tray of chicken nuggets and a pot of cooked broccoli. “At least I didn’t burn everything.”
“Chicken nuggets and broccoli?” she asked, her grin still wide. “Kids barely old enough to eat solids and we’re already having kid dinners?”
“Kid dinners?” Cassian repeated. “You’re lying your ass off if you’re telling me that you don’t enjoy a big ass plate of chicken nuggets.”
Nesta laughed, shaking her head. “They’re dinosaur shaped!”
“The dino ones taste better!” Cassian protested.
“We’ll see about that,” Nesta said, and just as she looked up at Cassian, she realized how close he’d stopped from her.
He couldn’t have been more than a foot away, but he felt much closer.
Nesta’s laughter died down, although that light feeling in the pit of her stomach remained.
One of his hands was braced on the counter she leaned on, and though he wasn’t caging her in, she couldn’t help but stare up at him.
“At least it’s not breakfast again,” she murmured, noting the way he was staring at her, too.
“You’ve never complained about my breakfast,” he said, swallowing roughly.
She tracked the way his Adam’s Apple bobbed. “Well, you’ve never burnt it, so.”
The corner of his mouth twitched and she knew he was trying his hardest not to smile. He opened his mouth to reply, but Nyx started talking from the other room, babbling and nonsense and baby language reaching them.
Cassian seemed to realize how close he stood to her and backed up a step, clearing his throat. “If you want to grab him, I’ll put some fresh fries in the oven.”
Nodding, Nesta said, “Yeah, of course.”
“I’m making them crispy, though,” he said, as she left.
Nesta snorted as she shook her head and lifted Nyx out of his pack n play. “Your uncle is nuts. Yes, he is.”
Nyx’s grin melted Nesta’s heart.
Forty minutes later, once the french fries were sufficiently crispy, the three of them were sitting at the table, eating dinner. Nesta didn’t mind it, not one bit, the fact that they sat there every night and ate together.
It was almost as if they were a family.
An odd, dysfunctional, interestingly beautiful family.

corpse husband x fem!reader
summary: you meet corpse on a stream and you’re surprised when he reaches out to you
warnings: cursing, mentions of tattooing
word count: 1.9k
notes: This is proof read but could have missed some stuff. This is my first corpse fic and my first time writing fanfic since I posted that super cringey book on wattpad when I was like 12 or something. I’d appreciate feed back so please reach out to me :)

read part 2 here!
✧・゚: *✧・゚:* *:・゚✧*:・゚✧
You were cleaning up your station so you can get home and stream. You loved your day job as a tattoo artist but you also really enjoyed streaming. It started as a way to promote yourself as an artist and the shop you worked at but it eventually became a really fun way to destress at the end of the week (or day if you were really itching to stream). “Hey Y/N was that your last client?” your boss, KC, asked as she walked to the front of the shop and put new flash drawings on the walls.
“Yes ma’am!” You said back excitedly. You finished cleaning your station and tossed your black gloves in the trash. “And you can’t trick me into staying and taking walk-ins,” you joked with her. She rolled her eyes and walked back into her office “It was one time,” she said as you slid on your jacket. As you walked out your phone buzzed in your pocket and you checked to see who had texted you. It was a message from Sean asking if you were free to play Among Us with him and some other streamers. You replied that you were on your way home right now and totally down. You were excited to see who was playing this time around since their Among Us streams are super entertaining and have gotten really popular.
On your way back you tweeted and posted to your Instagram story that you’d be streaming soon and set up all your stuff once you made it home. After a few minutes, you had a couple of thousand people watching. You entered the discord chat and Sean spoke up. “Everyone this is Y/N she’s sensitive so be gentle.”
“It’s nice to finally meet you guys and I’m not gentle, I'm ruthless,” You say into your mic and notice the chat calling you a liar. Everyone was in the lobby waiting for the game to start. “You sound way too sweet to be ruthless,” Corpse said. The countdown started and you were imposter with Charlie.
“This should be fun,” you told the stream. Yout tried playing strategically but after such a long shift your brain was mush. You saw Poki in nav and killed her then vented into shields. Not long after the body was reported and you were sure you were going to get voted out or at least sussed.
“Where was the body?” Felix asked. “Nav and I didn’t see anyone near there so whoever is imposter must have vented,” Corpse responded. Felix spoke up again. “I think I saw Y/N walk that way and I haven’t seen her since.”
Shit, shit, shit shit. “I’m in shield right now so-” you said trying to defend yourself but Charlie spoke up. “I was doing tasks with her earlier and I saw her walk into shields so she’s safe but I’m still not sure about Rae.” Everyone discussed a bit more and some people, including Corpse, voted for you but Rae got the majority vote and was ejected. You released your breath and kept playing being extra careful.
“Okay, guys that was super close. Corpse knows and is out to get me,” you said to the chat. You were eventually voted off but one round later victory was written across your screen with your ghost and Charlie’s avatar. “Good game guys,” Corpse said.
“I told you guys I was ruthless!”
✧・゚: *✧・゚:* *:・゚✧*:・゚✧
You sat at your station doing nothing because a client had canceled a four-hour session. You were listening to music and sketching some stuff but you were bored out of your mind and you didn’t want to leave in case you got a walk-in. The music got quiet as you received a twitter notification saying someone had messaged you. You reached for your phone and saw you had gotten a dm from Corpse.
C: hey :)
You didn’t know what to respond. You were mostly confused as to why he decided to message you out of the blue. Did he want something? But what would he want?
Y: Hii! This is sudden
C: was i bothering you?
    shit sorry!
Y: Youre fine I wasn’t doing anything rn
C: how has your day been
i dont usually do stuff like this
Y: Im glad you did im doing better now I was so bored
C: what were you doing that was so terrible
Y: NOTHING! thats the problem :(
C: im sure youll find something to do
You stared at his message. Unsure what to respond.
Y: Im gonna give myself a tattoo
C: what?
    NO!
You tossed the needles you used for your tattoo into the sharps box. “Oh my god you didn’t,” KC said. She noticed the wrap on your calve from the tattoo you just gave yourself out of boredom. “It’s not my fault I didn’t have anything else to do!” You said trying to defend yourself. She sighed and just shook her head. “Just go home business is slow today.” It was raining so the shop probably wasn’t going to get a walk-in anyway and you didn’t have any more clients for the day. It was only 2 pm but you drove home and after making lunch for yourself decided to stream. You weren’t expecting too many people so it was bound to be super chill. Your leg felt sore reminding you of the tattoo. You snapped a quick pic of the fresh jack-o-lantern on the side of your calve and messaged it to Corpse.
Y: [image] it came out nice!
C: thats  super cool actually
i was concerned why you would just give yourself a tattoo but i found your instagram and       youre super talented
Y: Thank you!
For some reason, it felt strange to just have that be the end of your response.
Y: Im about to start streaming if you wanted to watch
    [link]
C: ill be watching ;)
What’s that supposed to mean?
✧・゚: *✧・゚:* *:・゚✧*:・゚✧
You sat in your apartment watching tv, hand lost in a bag of Doritos, and scrolling through twitter. You had stopped paying attention to the anime playing on the screen since you’ve watched it a hundred times and knew you wouldn’t miss anything. It was Saturday and you usually take those days off. Take the time to do chores or meet up with some friends but today you felt like not doing any of those things. As you continue your endless scroll (not helping the twitter addiction you told yourself you’d try to get a handle on) you got a message from Corpse.
C: wanna talk?
You looked down at the message unsure of how to answer. It was a simple yes or no and the obvious answer was yes. You and Corpse had started talking more regularly. You still didn’t have each other’s phone numbers but it was fine. Your conversations weren’t too big-- just you sending him memes, tiktoks, and telling him how much you liked the songs he would drop. Or him complimenting a tattoo you did. Sometimes he’d message you during streams telling you funny stuff his fans would say in the chat and you’d do the same. You learned a bit about each other but nothing too deep or serious. Like how you two lived a few cities away and you both really liked Donnie Darko. When Sean first invited you to that game out of everyone else there you were most excited to meet Corpse. He’s just so sweet and funny. Of course, you’d love to talk to him but you were also itching to talk to him and the last thing you’d ever want to do was make him uncomfortable.
Y: Yeah id love to talk
Here goes nothing.
Y: Wanna facetime or something?
No pressure or anything it could even be a regular call
I think facetime is just my default lol
You sent those last two messages quickly after you had sent the first. You wished you could know what he was thinking. It was killing you to think you had turned him off from talking to you completely. You put your phone down on the couch and went to wash your hand of Dorito dust. When you got back from the kitchen you turned off the tv and tossed yourself onto the couch.
Still no message.
Why am I so fucking stupid?
Just as you were standing up to stretch from sitting on the couch all day your phone buzzed. You reached for it fast and looked to see that it was him. You became super excited still not even knowing what the message said. It could have told you to never talk to him again for all you knew.
C: sure lets facetime
    xxx-xxx-xxxx
You had his phone number. You added him to your small but growing contact list and called. You sat on your couch waiting for a response when he finally picked up the screen was black. It didn’t upset you; you kind of expected it and didn’t care what he had to do to make himself more comfortable during this call.
“Hey,” he said. His voice was raspier than usual.
“Did you just wake up?” You asked and looked at the time. It was about a little past noon and you had only eaten Doritos all day. Shit, you should probably make a decent meal.
“Not that long ago but yeah,” he responded and giggled. That giggle.
“Well, I’ve eaten nothing but Doritos all day while rewatching Ouran High School Host Club, so you’re welcome to join me as I make myself something to eat.”
“Sounds like fun; what are we eating?”
“I don’t know yet,” You said as you stood up and made your way to the kitchen. You opened the pantry and looked. You noticed a can of diced tomatoes and reached for it then checked the expiration date. It was still good. On your counter were some onions and garlic. “How about some tomato soup?”
“Sounds delicious.” you smiled at Corpse and your phone screen not knowing if he was also looking at his screen or not. “You’re really pretty-- you know that?”
“Thanks, but you don’t have to--”
“I’ve already told you what an incredible artist you are so many times I bet you’re tired of hearing it, but you already know what a talented artist you are.”
“That is very kind of you Corpse,” you said to him bashfully as you chopped the onion and opened the can of tomatoes. “But once again you don’t have to reach so far to compliment me.”
“I’m not reaching you are talented and beautiful and--”
“I thought I was pretty.” You could hear him chuckle with a smile on his face. “You’re both,” he said. You could feel your face getting warm from blushing.
“Fuck you you’re making me blush. My face is all hot and stuff.”
He laughed at how flustered you got. “That’s the cutest thing ever.”
You didn’t know how to respond so you just put some olive oil in a pot and tossed in your onions. It became silent but it was a comfortable silence. You turned the stove on and watched the flame for a few seconds. “If it was dark we could pretend we were together and having a bonfire or something,” you said to the phone as you turned the camera to show him the flame (still not 100 percent sure if he was looking at you or not).
“I’ll put it on the list of things to do when you visit me someday.”

Xiaobedo Fanfic Recommendation
Welcome to my personal “if you are new to xiaobedo peeps please read these” list. As said before this is my personal list so please feel free to reblog/comment/hit me for not including any gem here. I might miss a lot of them because I am drunk or blind. (mostly have them on my to read and then forgot as I am being assault by real life shit).
I would like to say first that so far there are 150+ Xiaobedo fics on Ao3. I can’t review all of them but I can say that I have read a majority of them. Most of them are just pure love and I would like nothing more than a thousands thank you for all the fic writers who spent their free time writting these gems for us to read for free. But these...these takes the cake as it finds a special landing spot in my heart that I would just thrust them into someone’s hand if they say “I am new to this ship can you recommend me?”
1. Orange dust by bobamilkteas (Wes)
In which Xiao learns to open himself up to the world a little more after the collapse of Rex lapis's contracts but it was not always easy for a soul doomed to eternal damnation. Meanwhile, Albedo liked to tempt fate where the extraordinary are concerned.
If only the traveler's comrades are made of saner bunch.
Comment: Long ago when I like both Albedo and Xiao as a character, I was wondering hmmm....will anyone actually even write about them lmao they never met each other. I am surprise to see this one as the 3rd fic in the whole 3 Xiaobedo fic on Ao3 (yeah back when there’s literally only 3 fic for this couple). I was like I’ll read it for the curiosity, I’ll probably won’t ship them. And that people is how I put my clown make up on my face upon finishing reading it. This ONE fic alone convert me into a devotee of Xiaobedo. Please consider joining me in this circus if you want to know what is Xiaobedo. I would put this as the first of my “Big 3″
Orange Dust also come with its compliation of short stories over the course of the game and a big sequel to it. Please also consider reading ALL OF THEM.
2. Solar Wind by birdpriestess (Sparrow)
For the yaksha, his duty was his life, and his life was his duty. No human could ever hope to understand the eternal war he fought out of sight and in silence.
So why, then, did he feel that Albedo would understand?
---
Finding himself at death's door once more, Xiao is saved by a surprising person, setting off the unlikeliest of adventures.
Comment: Do you like crying? Do you like the feeling of getting your heart ripped into pieces as the author destroy your emotions over the end of each chapter as the story picked up the climax? Yeah, this one is for you masochists. The action, the characterisation, the drama THE EMOTIONS OH WOW. I kid you not that it was so good I read this while workinng when I am not suppose to me. Also, this fic has my favourite characterisation of Gold ever. I love that dramatic queen Mad Alchemist. AND DAIN. I LOVE DAIN IN THIS FIC. Our dearest Sparrow manage to toy with our feelings like how I bully ruin guard for big numbers lmao. This is the secound of “Big 3″ of my Xiaobedo list.
Again, just like Orange Dust, Solar Wind comes with its own compliation of short stories of what came after that. Please also consider reading ALL OF THEM.
3. Castle of Glass by AlchemicalStardust (Morgie)
A black shadow rises over Huaguang Stone Forest. Caught in the wrong place at the wrong time, Albedo flees the shaking ground and the crash of boulders tumbling form the sky. As the dust settles, Albedo finds a young man – an Adeptus – amidst the carnage. Despite the karmic agony ripping his body from the inside, Xiao’s only question is “How?” How did a human survive after witnessing his battle?
Comment: The last of the “Big 3″ of my Xiaobedo list. And it is still on going! Castle of Glass? More like I AM IN A GLASS CASE OF EMOTIONS! Have you read a fic about 2 people yearning, longing, reaching out for each other so damn well that you just want to throw your phone in the air as they both had their impending doom coming down upon them? Yeah this is one of them. You will like want to be stuck in the moment they express how much they just yearn for each other’s love and care that you want to shake the author for what comes next. Like...everytime Morgie update I am expressing my gratitude at the end of the chapter by writing on Xiaobedo discord “MORGIE COME HERE AND LET ME BONK YOU WHY ARE YOU ENDING IT THERE”
trust me when you read you will def feel the same. With just Big 3 and their compliation alone that would give you like a LONG list of reading already LMAOOOOOOO
4. Find a place to call it home  by yamajiroo
Our room, he said. Xiao’s brow twitches. Zhongli never said anything about this. But then again, perhaps he should anticipate this from the beginning...
Xiao looks over at Albedo, who is now tilting his head, his look as innocent as ever.
“Are you not okay with sharing a room?”
Comment: College AU for Xiaobedo! One thing that I love this is the slow burn and what made me LOVE LOVE LOVE this fic more is how cute Klee is in this fic. Their relationship in this one is very simple, but that simplicity highlight why their chemistry work. Xiao is someone who was just very gentle, who was largely misunderstood by his lonesome nature. Albedo was someone who like peace and quite in his introvert bubble. And how they respect that bubble that each other has actually made their relationship work. I love it when fic highlight this and this one captures it.
5. I Can't See Your Face From the Other Side of the Classroom by MissWeaver
When Albedo and Xiao unexpectedly start eating lunch together, they begin to find that they have more in common than anyone would have realized. They both struggle in their own ways with blossoming feelings, too many assignments, and annoying classmates as they navigate a relationship for the first time.
Comment: I’ll be honest, I usually hate high school au just because its so cliche. I don’t even watch and drama/anime surrounds high school student anymore LMAOOO (unless it’s very good). So if there’s an high school AU that I actually keep come back and read after a couple of chapters, it means that the cliche that I hate wasn’t there or barely was there at all. The pinning in this fic makes me want to bang their head together sometimes LMAOOO The tag wasn’t kidding when they said both Xiao and Albedo are bad at feelings. Also that’s a lot of heart broken caused by these two idiots XD
6. new world, same me, same bullshit  by  bobamilkteas (Wes)
At the belly of Dragonspine, Albedo lost control to the festering corruption that permeated his senses and watched, from the recesses of his mind, as his devoured body turned his allies into enemies. Before his rampage reached its climax, he is sealed in a crystalized confinement by the last hand of Reindottir, where he then reawakens centuries after, in a rebooted Teyvat.
Comment: Yeah I know it was list in Orange Dust but here me out. This sets out in an entirely different universe. And if you like Polyamory, this one has Zhongli joining the duo and I love it because I also love ZhongXiao with my life. Time Travel is my biggest kink. Especially when I am the person who love it when people explore Archon War era/ Alatus!Xiao. So this one hits double of my kink. Of course it is still on going and I will bully Wes whenever I can to see that new chapter. Albedo is a total fucking badass in this story and I completely agree from using him in Abyss so often. Everyone should write badass Albedo.
7. misplaced heart of mine by  inkburn
“If you are ill, then you should be resting at home. In Mondstadt.” He emphasized Mondstadt with a pointed look in his direction.
“I assure you I won’t be troublesome, Adeptus Xiao,” Albedo said, “You’ll find I’m a rather low-maintenance traveler.”
“Travel,” Xiao scoffed, “without airstep?”
Albedo looked him up and down. “Are your legs just for decoration?”
(albedo is sent to liyue on mandatory vacation. xiao is his unfortunate bodyguard.)
Comment: Most of the time you will see Albedo and Xiao starting their relationship with one of them taking interest in another. But this one took another approach, they starting off by make them hating each other’s guts LMAOOOO and I live for every second of it. There’s only 1 chapter so far but wow it was SOOO GOOD. I am really really excited for next chapter and is waiting patiently ;w;
8.  Blossom of Grace  by birdpriestess
One day in Liyue Harbor, Albedo watches a street performance by an enigmatic dancer named Xiao. And he becomes completely obsessed.
Comment: Have you ever look at Xiao fight and thinking that he’s one of the most beautiful deadly thing ever? How it was like he was dancing around the battlefield? How about actual dancer Xiao being so absolutely beautiful and perfect and that slow burn of Albedo falling in love with that beauty with a touch of Modern AU and cute Ganyu as the Wing woman. Yes, Sparrow delivers yet again another beautiful slow burn and while it’s still ongoing it is worth the read.
9. i think we could make this work (could get used to this) by outspaced
“Xiao? What are you doing out here?”
“I—”
“It’s raining,” Albedo says, as if it isn’t obvious. “You could get struck by lightning.”
“What are you doing out here then?” Xiao does the only thing he knows how to do, he challenges Albedo. “It’s raining.”
Albedo just hums. “If I get struck by lightning, it’s for science.”
Comment: A short one-shot where I read the summary and went “This is it... this is their relationship.” I am sold immediately. Oh god Albedo why are you like this.
10. Ephemeral by criedprinz
“It’s not for your investigation, is it?” Aether asked mildly.
Albedo traced a finger around the sketchbook, considering the question. “No,” he admitted finally. “I... I just want to see them again.”
He opened the sketchbook to reveal the drawing he’d just finished. Aether nodded, clearly recognizing the sharp golden eyes.
“Xiao,” he said. “You were rescued by an adeptus.”
When a visit to Dragonspine goes horribly wrong, Albedo is rescued by an unknown stranger, wielding powers he's never heard of. Led on a search to find out who it is, he finds himself in the middle of an unforgettable encounter..
Comment: A really really well written one-shot that I love. The yearning oh godddd the yearning from Albedo side is just so so much that I have to put it here. (I think you can see the trend here lmao. I am a sucker for yearning). And the moment they get to meet each other again is just chef kiss. MWHAA
11. Idle Yaksha, Brilliant Yaksha by Pit0fTheEarth
Alatus didn’t have a lot of responsibilities to keep. He spent most of his days dancing across the sky and eating away all nightmares that plagued a person’s sleep.
But one fortunate encounter led to too many unfortunate ones, taking his carefree existence and plunging it in darkness. His wings, stripped from him. His gentle touch, replaced by an unforgiving grip of destruction.
There was a lot of blood on his hands. With each passing moment, it became harder for Alatus to recall the last time someone gently held him.
Comment: This is one of the ongoing fic where I am very very much excited on the take of Naberius. And the way the author portray Xiao when he’s still the innocent Alatus is just *clench fist*. Baby ;w; Baby why do you have to lose all that innocence. Also the fic has long LONG flashback to Xiao past and his relationship with Naberius. We are unwielding more what happened to both of them and why perhaps does this have to do with Albedo.
That’s it for now, might add more later! Thank you <3

So I played Frantic Fanfic (a timed game where you write fics with friends and pick up where the other person left off) with @the-one-and-only-bluee and this is how it turned out 😭
Two short fics are below the cut
Enjoy
L's Ugly Crocs
At this point, Light thought he has seen it all: L eating things in the grossest manner possible, his terrible and unoriginal wardrobe, the list goes on...
But today... Today he crossed the line.
Light stared at L's 'shoes,' unequivocally appalled by them. He has never seen something so ugly in his entire life and that's saying a lot; Ryuk's dumb face hovers above him 24/7 like a damn gnat.
"Ryuzaki," Light called, "what are you wearing...?"
L looked up from the bench he was sitting on, ignoring the stares he received from the students passing by. "I am wearing shoes, Light."
"Those... aren't shoes. They're crocs."
"Are crocs not shoes?"
Light's nose scrunched with disgust. Did L actually think it was acceptable to walk around like that?
"I mean, they are..." he hesitantly agreed. "But those are the type of shoes you wear in the backyard. You know... Where no one can see you?" Light would rather die than get caught wearing those things.
"Crocs don't come with an instruction manual," L informed Light. "Thus, there are no restrictions on their usage."
"Yes, but it's generally accepted that crocs are for indoors to use in private. Not something you use to accessorize your clothes at university." Light replied. And the minute L furrowed his brows, Light knew it deep in his bones that L was not going to budge.
"Our university does not have a dress code," L pointed out once again. And then added, "But for you, Light, I suppose I can compromise."
And then-
And then-
L took off his crocs.
Light stared in shock as L put his bare feet on the ground and wiggled his toes.
"There," L announced. "Problem solved."
No, Light thought on horror. This was not 'problem solved'. This was problem made!
"Put those crocs back on, Ryuuzaki!" Light hissed as everyone around them started pointing at L's now bare feet.
"No," L said. The nearby clock tower chimed and L pointed towards the nearest university block. "We're getting late for class, Light."
Yes, they were getting late for class and yes, L would continue to be stubborn about it. Light had no choice now. None, except to something he never thought of doing in a million years.
"Ryuzaki..." Light loomed above L, feeling disgusted with what he's about to do. But... He has no other choice. "You can either go home, or..." Light digs into his bag and after a while of searching, he retrieves two brown paper bags that used to house his lunch and snack. "Wear these. I'm not letting you walk in crocs or barefoot. It's unacceptable."
"But wearing bags on my feet are...?"
"You would be doing everyone a favor."
Light heard the students gossip about L's gross feet from afar, and felt his face burn with humiliation from being within a 0.1 mile radius from L.
"No," L refused. "I'm not wearing bags." He stood up with his yellow crocs in hand. They were an obnoxious lemon color and his eyes. They're so bright, Light's convinced they even glow in the dark.
"No, you're not going anywhere looking like that." Light planted himself firmly in front of L. "Put on the bags or go home." L didn't need to say anything to convey he wasn't going to do as asked, so Light sighed before dropping his backpack. "Sorry, Ryuzaki, but you need to be stopped. This can't continue." He grabs L's legs and tries to shove the paper bags onto his feet, but he's met with kicks and grunts.
"Let me wear my crocs!"
"Just do it, Ryuzaki!"
They eventually topple to the ground, fighting over L's poor choice of footwear. Somehow, L managed to slip on his crocs before kicking Light in the face. He's thrown off with a shout.
"If I wore proper shoes, it would've hurt more..." L hummed.
Light got off the floor and fixed his clothing, embarrassed L's ugly croc hit his face.
"You know what? Fine. Keep your stupid yellow crocs."
Light learned a valuable lesson that day: never mess with L's love for crocs, or bad things will happen.
Death Note, and Lack Thereof
L observed anxiously as the hostage situation escalated on TV. It was 5:45 PM on November 28, 2003- in Japan. And the minutes were ticking down, second by second.
"25, 26, 27, 28," L counted. And counted. And- his heart skipped a beat- and counted. There was a gunshot. Then another. Screams from the TV as the reporter started shouting for help and-
Kurou Otoharada was still alive.
"No," L whispered. He leaned and pressed himself to the screen in the hopes that maybe a new angle would change things. "No, no, no. This isn't how it goes. Where is he, where?"
6:15 PM on November 28, Japan- Kurou Otoharada still lived. Light Yagami had not killed him.
This was not what L had expected at all. Seven lifetimes in and for the first time, Light had deviated from his set path. Light always picked up the death note, always became Kira, always killed hundreds of people within days of his first kill before settling on a steady schedule. This was unprecedented, unexpected, not possible-
Where was Light? Why was Otoharada still alive? L frantically changed channels, trying to find a criminal, any criminal, who had mysteriously died of a heart attack.
There were none.
"How curious." L tilted his head in thought. There was only one way to satisfy his curiosity, to know what- if anything at all- had changed in this loop.
L had to go to Japan himself, to observe Light.
L didn't know what went wrong. Nothing ever went wrong! They all started the same with Light picking up the Death Note at his high school. Either someone got to it first, or something terrible happened to Light Yagami.
After re-living this experience over and over again, he discovered more information that helped him with the next timeline. While he didn't understand why he kept traveling back to the start of the Kira investigation, he knew it was happening for a reason.
He needed to help Light Yagami.
By now, the Death Note was long gone. Someone already picked it up, so his first move is to check the Kanto region morgue records. If something happened to Light, something permanent, then those records will point him in the right direction.
Thankfully, he couldn't find any death certificates. That's a good thing because if Light was gone... Well, then he would have to start the investigation from scratch with a brand new person acting as Kira.
With that information in mind, he needs to figure out why Kurou Otoharada didn't die. Does someone else actually have the Death Note? Or did Light decide to discard it instead?
A world where Light Yagami never used the Death Note... That's impossible to think of. With all these lifetimes behind his belt, he didn't even consider it.
Since it's easier to track someone he already knows, he finds Light Yagami to uncover what the hell happened.
L could have tracked down Light and met him at his school. Or cram school. Or he could have asked Soichiro Yagami to introduce him to his son for a potential 'internship'. Instead, L took the quickest, easiest way and-
Knocked on the Yagami household door.
It was madness, perhaps, to straight up introduce himself to an unknown person. Light didn't know him and L didn't know this version of Light. This wasn't his Light. His Light had picked up the death note, and proclaimed himself judge, jury, executioner, God of a new world.
This Light had done neither of those.
It was a novel, yet scary feeling. L knew Light but did not know him too. What if this Light was a complete unknown? What if-
"Yes?" Light Yagami opened the door. L stared and took in his bright brown eyes, ruffled hair, cozy pajamas. He had never seen Light so disheveled before. Not even when he had been caught, when his execution was the next day, whether he was sleeping or dead. Light had always looked presentable and sharp.
Not this.
"What are you doing here?" Light asked in confusion. "No, better yet. Why are you here?"
"Me?" L asked, stupefied himself. "What are you doing here? Like that?"
They stared at each other as words said by the other finally made their way to their brains. Confusion, for why the other was there. Not like meeting someone unknown, not 'who'. But rather, the question 'why'.
"Light Yagami?" L asked tentatively. "Kira?"
"L Lawliet," Light confirmed. He ran his hands through shiny brown hair that L knew felt just as good as it looked (he had made sure of it in his third loop around. Light had excellent hair).
"Why are you not Kira?" L got straight to the point.
"Got tired of ruling the world," Light replied, short and succinct. "Why are you here and not on that case in Paris?"
"Because Kurou Otoharada is still alive and I got curious," L answered. And then addressed the inconsistency in Light's previous reply, "You never ruled the world, Light. It was in the works, sure. But Rem snitched on you for Misa."
"That's strange," Light tilted his head. "I remember getting Rem to kill you for Misa's safety instead."
"Ah," L sighed.
"Yes," Light sighed as well. And then moved to the side.
"Since you're here, why don't you tell me about your loops over some apple pie?"

Lost in Zero Gravity (P.21)
Title: Lost In Zero Gravity (Part Twenty One) Summary:  Fem!Reader x Mob Boss!Tony Stark x Mob Boss!Steve Rogers.  Reader is a call girl who runs high end parties. She catches the attention of Tony Stark who invites her back to his room with his friend. She might have performed too well because she becomes their new favorite play toy and they don’t like to share. Words: 3,051 Warnings (for the fic in entirety): Smut, prostitution, infidelity, angst, domestic violence, stalking, possessive behavior, drug use
Part Twenty || Part Twenty Two || Masterpost (mobile) || Fanfic masterpost
“What the hell happened?” Rhodey demanded after a few moments of awkward silence after Steve had stormed out.
Happy had closed the door after Steve, also looking at Tony now with expectation for an answer.
“Nothing,” Tony said aggressively, pushing the reactor and the suit began retracting.
“Nothing? You don’t get to cause that uproar here in the facility and then not give any of us an answer—” Rhodey started to argue.
“Who’s in charge here?” Tony interrupted him shortly.
Rhodey shook his head, “Tony, that’s not fair. And you know it.”
“Life isn’t fair,” Tony quipped, walking over to his desk to snatch up his phone. He began texting quickly.
“If something is going on between you two, the rest of the team deserves to know! Especially since you’re pulling the ‘who is in charge’ card. That’s the two of you!” Rhodey said. “You manage a lot of people and factions are not what the operation needs to function properly.” He stepped closer and continued, “It’s her isn’t it? Heard pregnancy test and that’s not hard to deduce why both of you would be concerned about that.”
Tony was scrolling through his phone, not answering Rhodey.
Irked, Rhodey pressed, “I don’t know why the two of you thought sharing was going to work out. You are both hardheaded, sons of—”
“Rhodey, if you’re going to continue nagging at me like an old lady, please just leave. I’m busy,” Tony interjected again, distracted still.
“No! You need to be open!” Rhodey shouted, finally fully catching Tony’s attention. Happy rose his brows in surprise at his boldness. “You two just almost plummeted each other.”
Tony ground his teeth, staring Rhodey down. Exhaling sharply, he finally said, “Fine. Yes. You’re right. Her. And you know, everything was going fine before Steve started having his martial problems. And he started playing fast and loose with Y/N’s safety. He brought her on a mission a couple of days ago – with Bucky and Sam, mind you, so they’re also on my shit list – using her as a pawn and she had no idea what was going on. He left her on a boat with Qian and Perez. Got her caught it the middle of the crossfire, so that was a fun clean up job for me.” That was shock to Rhodey and Happy, both of them caught off guard. “So, yeah, I’m a little fucking piqued, you could say. He’s spiraling because of things at home.” He paused for a beat before sighing, “And he was fucking with her birth control. So, hey, I might be a dad. Again. Even if I didn’t want that.”
Tony all but collapsed into his chair behind his desk, tossing his phone down on the desk. “I don’t know if I should move her. I told him to stay away, and he lured me away and snuck in there and took her. He has a key.”
Rhodey was silent for the first time in the conversation but Happy offered, “It might be for the best.” Tony turned his attention to him and Happy continued, “If you are really worried about it. Removing temptation… sometimes that is the best medicine.”

“Let’s go,” Steve said shortly, coming into the locker room. He threw open his locker and reached inside for the freshly washed uniform.
“What the hell happened?” Sam demanded, seeing how disheveled Steve was. He was fresh out of the shower after having done an intense work out.
“Nothing. I’m gonna get suited up and start working. Are you going to join?”
“What do you mean ‘nothing’? Your chin is cut up and—”
Steve barked, shutting Sam up, “I said nothing happened, Sam!” He tossed his suit on the bench behind him and began working at the buttons on his three piece to get undressed.
Sam stood up, gripping at the towel around his waist, staring Steve down. He glared as Steve tossed his suit jacket onto the bench and ripped his tie off. Steve noticed his glare and his hands began to falter under the intensity until they slowly fell. His dress shirt was unbuttoned, and his belt undone.
Evenly, Sam asked, “What happened? What is going on?”
Steve sighed heavily, his hands coming to his hips, head hanging. He was quiet for a few moments, breathing deeply. His voice was quiet when he admitted, “Tony and I got into it. Badly. Right in his office. I… he pissed me off and I just saw red. He hit where he shouldn’t have and he did it on purpose to get a rise out of me. And I fell for it. Like a fucking idiot.” He rubbed at his face. “I don’t know what to do.”
“Take a step back.”
“It’s not as easy as that, Sam!”
“I mean from work. Take some time. You don’t need to throw yourself into this just to escape whatever is happening. Take a step back from work and focus on the shit in your personal life.”
Steve chewed on his lip before saying quietly, “You’re right.” He nodded this time and repeated, “You’re right. I… I need…”
Sam cut in, picking up his slack. “You need to do what’s best for you and your wife. That’s what’s important.”
Steve nodded again. Sam was not privy to his relationship with Y/N. All he knew was she was a prostitute that Steve visited sometimes. But he was right on one thing; he did want his relationship better with his wife. And right now, that was something that was going to be easier to control than his relationship with Y/N.

Sitting at the table, eating lunch, you heard voices outside the hall coming closer and you put your fork down. The front door opened, and Tony walked in, followed by a handful of men. Luna booked it from her cat tower down the hallway towards the bedroom at the crowd. You stared at them confused as Tony was giving them directions about what to pack together. You spotted a few bringing in copious amounts of broken down moving boxes, carrying packing tape.
“Bedroom things first. That’s the most important. She needs somewhere to sleep obviously. The bed is easily broken down. The tools for it… I think are in the top drawer of the nightstand on the far side of the bed by the window. I made sure it would be nearby,” Tony was telling a few of them. He had failed to look or notice you at the table, sitting there bewildered. “I saw the cat run down there, so close the door when you go in. She’ll probably run into the closet if she’s under the bed. I just want her corralled and out of the way of everyone else. Do not – and I repeat, do NOT – let her out! We’ll get her into the cat carrier after everything is packed up. And you all are in charge of making sure that bed is ready to go at the new condo.”
New condo?
He turned towards a few more of them and said, “Start breaking down the living room.” To the last couple, he said, “The bathroom. Be sure to properly label everything.”
Tony finally laid eyes on you and walked over to the kitchen table, pulling out his cell phone. “How are you doing, love?”
“How am I… what is happening?” you inquired.
“You’re moving,” Tony informed you, texting.
The men were already setting to work, and you moved your gaze around the apartment in disbelief. Who were these guys and what in the actual fuck was going on?
“Why?” you asked confused.
“Because. I found somewhere better priced.”
“Where?”
“Carnegie Hill.”
That was his neighborhood. He had told you that before, to your immense surprise, giving away his home location. But he had – as you suspected – started trusting you more in recent months. Why was he moving you closer to his family? And especially in that neighborhood? Cheaper? You were hard pressed to believe that bald-faced lie.
“You found something cheaper there than this?” you asked him, completely disbelieving.
“Yep,” Tony told you curtly, still not looking up from his phone. “A nice condo. Nice dropped living room and dining room. Iron work looks great.” You were staring at him intensely as he clicked away on his phone. He felt the burn of your stare and looked up. “What?”
Exasperated you threw your hands out, “What… Tony! I’m just sitting here eating lunch and all these people are in here now and just packing up my stuff! And you’re telling me I’m moving!”
Tony exhaled sharply, tossing his phone onto the table as he pulled out a chair beside you and sat down. Leaning in close he said, “You’re moving closer to me. It’s easier.”
“Easier?”
“Better,” he offered.
“Why? So I can run into your wife into one of the coffee shops and she can maul my face there?”
Tony’s expression was hard, and you really could not give a shit less. You had already told him how you felt about being in close proximity with her.
“First off, Alessia does not go get her own coffee. She sends people for that, Or she has the maid make it for her in her French press. Hell would freeze over the day she was asked to stand in a line and agree to it,” Tony started out, his tone tight. “And secondly, only I will have a key to the place.”
Reality set in on what he was doing. He was leaving Steve out. Did Steve even know this was going on? The memory of Tony last night telling you that he loved you outright flashed through your mind. He had been furious when he had learned what Steve had done to you. A wedge had been driven between them at your expense.
“So, yes, easier. And better,” Tony clipped, leaning away from you again, keeping his gaze fixated on you for a few more moments before tearing it away. He picked up his phone again and unlocked it. “Finish your lunch. You don’t have to lift a finger for this. They’ve got it covered. All we gotta do is get Luna into a carrier. And that’ll be easy, right?”
You were at a loss for words. What if Steve came looking for you? How angry was he going to be when he realized that you were no longer here? And would he think it was you that had asked Tony to move you? You had so many questions.
Tony picked up your fork and held it out to you. “Eat, love. Just relax. I’ve got it covered.”
Timidly, you reached out and took the fork from him, and he visibly relaxed of the tension in his body. You stuck your fork into your rice and took a bite, watching the men working warily.

Steve kissed up Cecile’s abdomen, his trail leading between her breasts and up to her lips. She smiled against his lips as he entered her slowly. They rocked together in tandem, coming down together. Steve held her close and whispered in her ear, “Let’s take a few days. You and me. Maine?”
“Seclusion is always nice,” Cecile told him, pecking him on the nose, causing Steve to smile.
“Right on the sea?” Steve questioned, holding her close, cognizant of her swollen abdomen.
Cecile traced his face and said, “You know what I like.”
“That I do,” Steve returned softly. He kissed her deep and relished in feeling like they were truly close again.

You had just gotten out of the shower to wash the chlorine off of you. One of the perks of the new condo was the pool. You enjoyed doing laps and the hot tub afterward. Sitting in a robe, you picked up the remote and turned on the TV. Choosing a show, you unwrapped the popsicle you had taken out of the fridge.
The familiar sound of the key in the door echoed and you did not bother to move, knowing the only one who would be coming in was Tony. You had been here for a week and had finished rearranging all of your things in the new layout a couple days ago. Thankfully, Luna had adjusted and loved the window beds on the large windows, giving her access to watch out over the street.
He was dressed down – unusual for him. And he looked nervous, and you were on edge immediately just as you had been when he had looked that way sitting in the living room when you had come home from the gym.
“What?” you asked him reluctantly.
He said nothing. He held a bag out to you, and you stared at him for a moment before you opened it, peaking in.
Your stomach dropped, seeing another pregnancy test.
“Why are you making me do this? For real this time?” you asked him seriously.
He licked his lips and sat down stiffly on the opposite end of the couch. He was refusing to look at you, his elbows resting on his thighs, hands clasped. “I… you need to do it.”
“Why?” you pressed.
“Because. You… you might be pregnant.”
Shaking your head, you told him, “I already took a test. Less than two weeks ago!”
“Have you missed a period?”
“I rarely bleed,” you countered.
“That makes it even more important that you take the test then.”
“Why are you so concerned about this?”
Tony exhaled sharply, hanging his head. He was silent for a few moments, the suspension in the room thick. His voice was brittle, “You weren’t protected. For over a month. December and January, respectfully, between the two.”
You gaped at him. Stammering, you asked, “W-what are you talking about?”
He looked resistant to speak but he shook his head, “Steve.”
“Steve, what?” you asked dangerously.
“He told me at the beginning of January that he had been fucking around with your birth control. Giving you placebos.”
You felt like you had been kicked. Your fingers grasped tighter onto the paper back, it crinkling in your hand. The silence in the room was deafening; Tony refusing to look at you made it even worse.
If what he was saying was true, Steve had betrayed you beyond belief. You had thought his actions at the docks were the lowest he could go but apparently, he was determined to prove you wrong. And for what? To lock you down further?
“Why?” you rasped.
Tony shrugged, “I don’t know. Really. He… he’s having problems. At home, with his wife, I mean.”
“And? Getting me pregnant was going to solve that?”
“No,” Tony gave a dry laugh, shaking his head. “No, it wouldn’t have solved it. He’s… he’s not thinking straight. That has been made noticeably clear.”
“You knew?” you asked quietly. And he finally looked at you, shame etched into his features. “When you asked me to take the first test?”
His answer hit you like a ton of bricks. “Yeah, I did.”
“And you didn’t say anything?” you asked breathlessly.
“You… you were negative. And I was just going to let it rest and move on. No purpose of drawing up drama when it didn’t need to be drawn up.”
“I trusted you,” you half gasped, getting up from the couch.
Tony followed your movement, half stumbling around the opposite side of the couch to chase after you as you clutched the bag close to your chest. He quickly dove into excuses, “I mean it when I said I thought it should stay buried. As long as it was okay. To save you from that stress. And I thought Steve could get his head on straight. But then he went and proved me fucking wrong. So wrong. And that’s why I moved you. He doesn’t know where you are. I’m not going to let him around you. Not until he can prove he has himself set straight again. And if that never happens, then you don’t have to see him again!”
He sounded so desperate for you to forgive him, thank him for what he was doing.
Swallowing sharply, you put up a wall. Coldly, you told him, “I have to go do this.” You tapped the bag. “You know… something I didn’t want to have to do. Ever. But here I am forced again by controlling men to do shit against my will.”
Tony looked wounded by that, and you ignored it, turning on your heel, storming down the hallway. You gritted your teeth. You were going to do your damndest to not cry.
<><><>
It had been over ten minutes since Y/N had locked the bathroom door before he finally heard something.
Tony was leaning on the wall outside and he heard her stifle a sob. His eyes closed, exhaling deeply. He pushed away from the wall and his hand came to the door handle of the door, but he hesitated. His hand fell from the handle, deciding to give her space, and he walked away back towards the living room, his hand coming up to rub at his face, distressed.
Yes, it was going to be easier having her close by pregnant to watch over, he thought to himself.
Regardless of if it was his or not.
<><><>
Daryl or Eric were not in the lobby, causing Steve to frown. Were they upstairs? He got into the elevator, a bad feeling swirling in his gut.
He exited the elevator, holding the envelope to Y/N’s favorite local boutique close to him. He meant to just slide it underneath the door to avoid pissing Tony off even further but to still connect to her. Extend an olive branch and slowly apologize, getting himself back to her good graces.
He stopped though, seeing Terrence or Wylan were not there at the hallway’s end. Worry was beginning to seep in deep at the fact both sets of men were not where they were supposed to be.
Picking up his pace, Steve moved to her apartment door and his heart hammered seeing the keylock on her door instead of a deadbolt. That meant she had moved, and the apartment was empty.
His jaw set, fury burning its way through him.
Tony, that son of a bitch.

Smoke Break - A Nace Fic
I’ve had about a million different Nace fanfic ideas rolling around inside my head lately, so last night I wrote one of them. I’m pretty sure this has been done before, but this is my take on the smoke break conversation Nancy mentions having with Ace in 1x01. Inspired by the fact I’m about to start rewatching the show for the third time before season 3 starts in the fall. Enjoy?
Smoke Break
The lunch rush almost did her in.
It was Nancy’s fourth day on the job at The Claw—and her fourth day of work ever—and she already wanted to quit.
Coastal Maine towns in the summer were a bitch, and Horseshoe Bay was no exception. The entire town was a tourist trap, and The Claw was the best (not to mention only) seafood restaurant for miles. Anyone visiting from outside the state just had to stop in for a lobster roll—which was mostly what Nancy served to people all day, every day. She had lost track of how many of her customers had excitedly informed her that eating a Maine lobster roll was on their bucket list.
What kind of person put eating a ridiculously overpriced lobster roll on their bucket list?
It was halfway through the exceptionally busy shift that George tapped her on the shoulder, hard—so hard, she wouldn’t be surprised if it left a bruise. “Drew,” she said, unsmiling. “Go take your fifteen.”
Nancy breathed a sigh of relief. The entire dining room was full, and there were at least five large groups of people waiting patiently outside for a table. This was the busiest she had seen it yet.
And the busiest she ever wanted to see it.
“Thanks, George,” Nancy said gratefully, earning nothing but a glare from her former classmate.
“Don’t thank me. It’s company policy. Now get your ass out of here. Your fifteen is now a fourteen.” Turning on her heel, she stormed off in the direction of Bess, one of the other newer waitresses, who appeared to be struggling with a large table of ten people that was half adults, half kids, and all chaos. It was probably going to result in a huge tip, but Nancy was glad she hadn’t been assigned to that party. She didn’t have the patience for that.
She headed for the back room and retrieved her phone from her locker before exiting out the back door. She was instantly hit with a blast of hot, humid air, and she almost contemplated going right back inside where it was nice and air conditioned. But despite it being almost intolerably hot, it was quiet outside—unlike the madhouse inside. All she could hear were the crashing waves in the water and the squawking of seagulls in the parking lot looking for dropped food, and she welcomed it.
Staring down at her phone, Nancy slowly made her way over to the lone employees-only picnic table that was inconsiderately located right next to the dumpster. She was about to sit down when a voice spoke behind her, startling her.
“Having fun yet?”
Nancy nearly dropped her phone before spinning around to see who had spoken to her.
Leaning up against the side of the building was one of The Claw’s dishwashers—Ace. She’d met him on her first day—another hectic, busy day—but hadn’t really gotten to know him yet. She hadn’t really gotten to know anyone yet. Just the way she liked it.
She’d been aware of Ace’s existence before meeting him at The Claw. They’d gone to the same high school together, although he’d been a senior when she was a freshman, so their paths never crossed. He looked different now than he had back then. He looked taller. His hair was longer. He’d filled out a little—like he spent at least a couple days a week at the gym. He was cute. No, wait. He was hot. Not really her type—he seemed like a bit of a stoner—but he was certainly easy on the eyes.
“Sorry,” he continued before she could answer his question. “I didn’t mean to scare you.”
“You didn’t,” Nancy said with a dismissive wave. “I was just a little startled. I didn’t know anyone else was out here.”
Ace nodded. “Yeah. George yelled at me two minutes ago to take my break.”
Nancy smirked. “You too?”
“Yup.”
“Does she yell at employees a lot?”
“All the time,” Ace said with a furrowed brow. He lifted his fingers up to his lips and it wasn’t until then that Nancy noticed he was holding onto a cigarette.
“You’re a smoker, huh?” she asked, wanting to immediately facepalm. He was holding onto a lit cigarette. Of course he was a smoker.
Ace took a long drag and shook his head as he slowly let the smoke back out of his lungs. “Nah. I only smoke when I’m feeling stressed.” He reached into his pocket and pulled out a pack of cigarettes. “I’ve had this same pack for two months now, and it’s still mostly full.”
Nancy arched an eyebrow. “I take it you don’t get stressed too often, then?”
“Not really,” he replied. “For the most part, I like to keep things chill.”
“So, then, what are you stressed about right now?” Nancy asked, hoping she wasn’t coming across as being too nosy.
“George yelling at me,” he deadpanned.
Nancy chuckled. “Well, with the way things are going for me with George right now, I might have to bum one of those off you sometime.”
“Anytime,” he said, dropping his cigarette to the ground and stepping on it to put it out. “Sharing is caring is my motto.”
Nancy smiled. “That’s a great motto to have. But I was mostly joking. I don’t do cigarettes.” She motioned to her chest. “Virgin lungs.”
“Well, there’s a first time for everything.”
Something about the way he said it—his voice soft and almost flirty—made Nancy pause. Although, there was no way Ace could be flirting with her. In the only four days she’d been working with him, she’d already been made very aware of his crush on Bess. George had grumbled about it under her breath when she didn’t know anyone was listening, but even if Nancy hadn’t overheard that piece of information, she would have quickly figured it out herself. The guy wasn’t exactly subtle about it.
“I probably won’t be here long enough to share too many smoke breaks with you, anyway,” Nancy said, turning her attention to her phone.
“Why is that?” he asked.
Nancy shrugged. “I just don’t think I’m cut out for this line of work.”
“What kind of work do you think you’re cut out for, then? Sleuthing?”
Nancy’s eyes snapped back up to him, narrowing suspiciously. “Why would you say that?”
“Uh, because you’re the Hero of Horseshoe Bay,” he said with a grin. “The famous Nancy Drew, girl detective.”
Nancy could feel a humiliated blush spread across her cheeks. He knew about that? Oh, right, of course he did. He’d lived in Horseshoe Bay his whole life, just like she had. And she’d made the news quite frequently growing up. She would have been shocked if he hadn’t known about that.
“You’re a pretty big celebrity around this town, you know,” Ace continued. “I’ve just been waiting for the right time to ask for your autograph.”
“Oh, is that right?” Nancy chuckled again. “I’d hold off on that request for now if I were you. Maybe I was famous as a ‘girl detective’, but I’m nothing as the girl who tanked her grades her senior year and might never get into her dream school.”
All traces of amusement left Ace’s face as he frowned. “What are you talking about?”
What was she talking about? This was the first time she had admitted it out loud to anyone. She couldn’t tell her father the truth. She couldn’t tell her friends either because those friends had already decided to move on with their lives without her. Apparently, staying behind in Horseshoe Bay to wait tables for a living instead of heading straight off to college was not sophisticated enough for them.
“I…” Nancy began but then stopped, clamping her mouth shut. She wasn’t sure she had the energy to tell that story.
Slowly, Ace made his way over to the picnic table and sat down beside her, although leaving plenty of empty space between them. He turned his head to look at her, waiting silently for her to continue.
She appreciated the fact he wasn’t trying to pressure her to elaborate. She could tell from the look on his face that he was very interested in hearing what she had to say, but he wasn’t going to force her to say it if she didn’t want to.
And, surprisingly, that made her want to.
“I…tanked my grades my senior year,” she repeated finally. “After she…after my mom died.” She lowered her gaze to her lap.
“Kate Drew,” Ace said softly. “Our guidance counselor.”
Nancy nodded.
“I liked her. I was sorry to hear about her passing.”
Inhaling a shaky breath, Nancy said, “Yeah, me too.” She paused for a moment before continuing. The death of her mother was still very raw. She still cried herself to sleep every night, hoping to wake up the next morning to find out it was all just a bad dream. “Losing her was the worst thing that’s ever happened to me, and I just…I couldn’t deal. So, I gave up on all my schoolwork and I let my grades plummet. I suddenly didn’t care about trying to get into Columbia anymore or becoming an investigative journalist—which is, by the way, what I think I’m actually cut out for. I just gave up. And honestly? I don’t regret it. Even if it means I’m stuck in this town for at least the next year, getting constantly bitched out at work by the girl who hated my guts in high school.”
She paused for a beat, before sneaking a glance over at Ace. “You must think I’m pretty stupid, huh?”
Ace shook his head. “No. Not at all. Although, I’m not exactly in any position to judge, anyway. I mean, look at me. I’m three years out of high school, and I’ve been working here as a dishwasher the entire time.”
“Well, what about you?” Nancy asked. “Have you ever thought about going to college? Is there anything you want to be when you grow up?”
A small smile played at his lips as he stared down at the ground. “As a matter of fact—” he began, but then stopped and immediately wiped the smile off his face. Clearing his throat, he shrugged and said, “Not really.”
Nancy eyed him curiously. He was about to say something. But what? “Not really, huh?”
“Yeah.” The smile returned. “I don’t really care to have any life plans or aspirations right now. I’m sort of a…free spirit, I guess you could say. I just want to take things as they come.”
“A free spirit,” Nancy echoed before adding with a slight smirk, “And a deep soul.”
She wasn’t sure what exactly had inspired her to add that last part, but there was something about this guy that made her think there was a lot more to him than he was letting on.
He was a bit of a mystery.
Maybe if she stuck around long enough at this job and got to know him a little better, she could solve that mystery someday. As Nancy Drew, girl detective.
Ace turned to look at her and when his eyes met hers, she couldn’t help but notice how pretty they were, matching the color of the ocean that bordered their town. He opened his mouth to say something, but before he could get a word out the back door flew open, and George poked her head out.
“Break’s over, you two,” she barked. She didn’t wait for them to respond before retreating inside the restaurant and slamming the door shut behind her.
Both amused, Nancy and Ace simultaneously stood from the bench.
“Ready for round two?” he asked her. “If you think the lunch rush is bad, just wait until the dinner rush.”
Nancy groaned. “Can’t wait.”
“Here.” Ace reached back into his pocket, retrieved the pack of cigarettes, pulled one out, and handed it to her. “Take this.”
Hesitantly, Nancy reached up to take it from him. “I’m not going to smoke this, you know.”
“You don’t have to. Sometimes it helps just knowing it’s there if you need it.”
They began their short trek to the back door, where Ace proceeded to open it and motion for her to go in first.
“And hey,” he added, “if you do ever decide you’re ready to try it and you need a light, you know where to find me. I’ll be where the dirty dishes are.”
Another smile—this one almost too big to fit on her face—graced Nancy’s lips. She couldn’t remember the last time she’d smiled this many times in one day. It had been a long time.
“Thanks, Ace,” she said, brushing past him through the open door. “I really appreciate that.”
Ace was right—the dinner rush did turn out to be way worse than the lunch rush. George yelled at her at least three more times before her shift was over, Bess broke at least three plates and two glasses, and one kid threw up all over the floor right in front of her. And she hated to admit it, but more than once, that lone, unlit cigarette in her locker called out to her, and she was tempted to see if it would help to cut down on her own stress levels. But Ace had already left for the day, so there’d be no one there to light it for her.
But she knew he’d be there tomorrow if she needed him. And for now, anyway, that was enough.

When Lucy arrives in role call and hears she’s partnered with Tim for the day, she’s excited. When she hears they are to wear civvies and take Tim’s truck to surveil a suspect, she’s confused. And when said suspect drives further and further out of LA and they are instructed to keep on his tail, she’s annoyed. If she didn’t know better she’d think some writer designed the assignment purely because it was convenient for their story. Nevertheless, this is her life: crashing at a random hotel nearly nine hours from LA, after finally being relieved of surveillance detail, by the local sheriffs department, at 2:30am. The plus side is she’s being paid overtime, not only for the late night but also for the commute back to the city tomorrow. The down side is despite being exhausted she twists and turns all night unable to get comfortable in the strange environment. So when Tim knocks on the adjoining door between their rooms at 10am she’s already been up for a few hours. She has written a journal entry in her notes, preordered drinks for them to pick up at Starbucks and spent more time than she’d like to admit on google maps and various travel sites researching their trip home. She has also found time to plunder the continental breakfast and is currently demolishing a strawberry danish and a cinnamon bun. This earns criticism from Tim, whose plate carries sausage, eggs and an orange.
By 11am they’re on the open road again, coffees in the console between them. The small talk they had been making since they left the hotel had slowly died out so now they sit in comfortable silence. That is until Lucy reaches over to turn on the radio.
“You know how I feel about car radios Chen,” Tim warns in his best TO voice.
“Even off shift?” Lucy scoffs, and continues to press the on button and turn the volume dial up. Nevertheless, nothing happens.
“Looks like it doesn’t work anyway,” Tim states as he continues to hold the volume down button on the steering wheel, unbeknownst to Lucy.
“Fine then I’ll be the radio.” “You like Lady Marmalade, right?” She’s referencing Tim’s LA CLEAR security answer but she doesn’t wait for his reaction or reply before beginning to belt out the opening lyrics.
As she sings his initially surprised expression, morphs to shock and then awe.
“Since when can you sing?” he asks when she finishes.
She just shrugs, looking down at her hands as they begin to fiddle in her lap.
“Now I wish the radio really was broken,” Tim states as he turns it on and music starts playing.
Lucy shoots him a quick death glare before turning her attention back out the window.
---
By noon Lucy’s singing quietly along to the music (causing Tim to reevaluate his opinion on car radios) when she suddenly sneezes then freezes as her eyes go wide.
“Ah, can you stop at the next place with a bathroom?” she asks bashfully.
“We haven’t even been driving that long can you hold it?”
“Find me a bathroom or your truck will be covered in blood,” Lucy says, her tone conveying urgency.
“What? Why are you bleeding?” Tim asks, confused.
“If you don’t know why I, a woman, would be bleeding and thus need a bathroom then the public school system failed you.”
“Oh, ah, right, sorry,” Tim stutters, “I think there’s a small town at the next exit.”
“Thank-you,” Lucy replies clearly relieved.
“Do we need to find a drug store or do you have what you need?’
“Ya, if you could find a drug store.” She’s fiddling again, unable to shake the feeling of embarrassment even though she knows, rationally, she has nothing to be embarrassed about.
Several minutes later Tim’s pulling into the drug store parking lot and Lucy’s unbuckling her seat belt to run in. But as soon as she stands up Tim’s voice stops her.
“Wait Luce.” There’s a tenderness to his voice especially when he uses the new nickname that stops her more than the instruction itself. “I think we’re too late.”
Lucy looks down at the seat she just vacated to see its center now decorated with a dark red stain. A matching stain is present on the butt of the long yellow dress she’s wearing.
“Of course,” she spits as she tries to fight back tears that are already running down her cheeks.
“That a new dress?” Tim questions awkwardly, caught off guard by the sudden display of emotion.
Lucy lets out a choked laugh as Tim flounders to find something helpful to say.
“I ruined your truck, I ruined my dress and now I have to walk around the drug store with a giant stain on my ass,” Lucy sniffs.
“Hey Lucy, everything’s going to be okay.” He reaches across the console to put a hand on her shoulder. “Stay here. I’ll go in and get what you need.”
She stares at him surprised and unsure. The idea of him buying her tampons and pads and, she realizes, new underwear seems uncomfortably intimate.
“So, ah, what do you want?”
Because she has no desire to walk around the store with a giant blood stain on her butt she gives him her order, eyes down, face turning redder by the second.
He just nods and returns a few minutes later with three grocery bags and immediately hands them to her.
Inside she finds much more than she requested. The first bag contains two chocolate bars, two bags of candy, and two bottles of water. The second holds 6 different packages of assorted pads and tampons.
“How much blood do you think someone loses on their period,” Lucy teases.
Tim gives a small shrug. “I didn’t know which kind you wanted.”
Inside the third bag Lucy finds a bottle of Advil, a package of wet-wipes, a spray bottle of stain remover, a new package of underwear (simple white cotton), a pair of black tights and a box of black garbage bags.
“What are these for?” she asks holding up the garbage bags.
“They didn’t have any shirts so I thought we could make some head and arm holes and-“ he stops talking when he sees Lucy’s unimpressed expression. “I know it’s not ideal.”
“Good thing I already have that figured out,” she says holding up a plaid button up.
“Is that my shirt?” He had taken it off as soon as he got in the car, since like usual he had a henley underneath, and thrown it into the back. Lucy must of retrieved it while he was in the store.
“Please,” she says fixing him with those puppy dog eyes. “I promise I won’t get blood on it. Well, I’ll do my best. Please don’t make me wear a garbage bag.”
He laughs. “I forgot I had that. I guess I didn’t need these.” He takes the garbage bags from her and is about to throw them in the back when Lucy speaks up.
“Actually I’ll take one,” she says ripping the cardboard and freeing a single bag. She proceeds to rip a hole in the top of the garbage bag and pulls it over her legs like a skirt. Then she puts Tim’s plaid shirt on overtop. Tim is watching her with raised eyebrows.
“What? It’s just temporary. I promised I wouldn’t get blood on your shirt.” She puts everything she needs in her bag and goes into the bathroom to clean herself up. When she returns Tim is just finishing cleaning the blood off the passenger seat.
“I would have done that.”
“It was no trouble.” “Here spray some of this on your dress before the stain sets,” Tim offers as he hands her the stain remover.
Lucy does then drapes her dress over the backseat.
“Ready to go,” Tim asks.
Lucy nods and by 1pm they’re back on the road.
 ---
By 2pm they’re both hungry and decide to stop for lunch. The place they choose is a fast food joint connected to a gas station. It’s busy. Probably because it’s the only place to eat for miles around. While they wait in line to order, Lucy goes to use the bathroom, only to find another line just as long. She decides to try the gas station bathroom instead, telling Tim that she’ll be right back but if he gets to the front first he knows her order. He goes to argue but she’s already gone, which is probably a good thing since he has no rebuttal, considering it’s the truth.
A few minutes later Tim has their food: a veggie burger with extra pickles and fries for her and a burger and fries for him, but she still isn’t back. He wanders over to the gas station to find her standing in line at the register.
“Put the candy back Chen.”
“Make me,” she says shaking the bags as she holds them by her shoulders.
Tim reaches for them but Lucy moves to evade his grasp. “Too slow,” she teases.
“You’ve already had two pastries, one bag of candy, a chocolate bar and a frappa-cappa-crapacciuno or whatever.”
“It was a chai tea latte and you know it.”
“It was more sugar than anything and we still have more candy in the car. You’re going to give yourself diabetes.”
She shrugs. “It’s not a road trip without excessive amounts of junk food.”
“It’s not a road trip. It’s a commute home.”
“It’s whatever we make it,” she says as she taps her card to pay for the candy.
They find a state park a few minutes up the road and unpack their lunch at one of the picnic tables. They talk as they eat, familiar banter flying across the table. As they near the end of their food Lucy is animatedly telling a story about a recent arrest. She has a french fry in one hand and as she gestures, a little too aggressively, a glob of ketchup flies off the end of the fry and right into Tim’s face.
She sinks down a little in her seat and covers her mouth to try to suppress a laugh.
“Did you just throw ketchup at me Chen?” he glares as he slowly removes the offending condiment.
“Not on purpose,” she giggles.
“If you start a fight you better be prepared to finish it,” he says as he rips open a package of mustard and squirts it at her.
Although it has poor projectile power a small amount lands in Lucy’s hair. She looks back at him mouth wide. “That was on purpose. That’s assault. I’m calling the police.”
“We are the police,” Tim deadpans as he rips the top off another mustard package.
“You wouldn’t” Lucy warns as she opens a mayo.
Then words are abandoned as condiments fly. They go through 5 ketchup, 3 mustard, 2 mayo, 1 bbq sauce, 1 ranch dressing, 1 aioli and 1 pepper packet before they both surrender. In fact the only packets left untouched are the hot sauce and salt. Both their faces are covered in assorted condiments. Most that had been scooped off the picnic table and smeared directly onto their target when it became clear the packets could barely project their contents a foot. The only one that was truly an effective weapon was the pepper which successfully gave Tim a sneezing fit.
As they sit back down to finish the last bit of their lunch Lucy picks up a fry and runs it along Tim’s cheek then throws it in her mouth.
“Not bad,” she says as Tim makes a face of disgust.
When the last fries are gone they throw out their garbage, wipe down the picnic table, then turn their attention to themselves.
“It’s a good thing I bought these wipes,” Tim says as he passes one to Lucy.
She laughs as she takes it and begins to wash her face.
“Did I get it all?” she asks when she thinks she’s done. “Because you didn’t,” she adds as she reaches up to wipe the side of his mouth.
He’s startled at first then his expression morphs into something she can’t quite read but something that makes her linger just a little longer than strictly necessary. Then she steps away and climbs into the drivers seat and by 3pm they’re back on their way.
---
By 4pm Lucy’s in the middle of a seemingly endless monologue about the bachelor franchise when she looks over to realize that Tim is fast asleep. She would be insulted but instead she sees it as an opportunity. She starts to take every turn she can. Whenever she comes to an intersection she turns on to the smallest street. By the time Tim wakes up, about half an hour later (of course he would have is body trained to nap the ideal more than 20, less than 40 minutes), they are in the middle of nowhere. She waits until he’s fully awake then slams on the brakes.
“I’ve been shot. Where are we, Tim?” she demands in her best Tim Bradford voice. He looks out all the windows to see nothing but ranches then back at her, confusion clear on his face.
“Did you get us lost just so you could prove a point?” His tone an odd combination of annoyance and amusement.
“We’re not lost I’m taking the scenic route.”
“I’m pretty sure the scenic route is supposed to run along the ocean not through the desert in the middle of no where.”
“We’re not in the middle of no where we are North of Martinus Corner at the intersection of Cross Rd and and Lockwood Jolon Rd,” she brags.
“Great you know where we are. Do you know how to get us back onto the main road?”
“It’s not all about the destination, you know, It’s about the journey,” Lucy offers. “When’s the last time you did something just for the fun of it.”
“We go for a hike or a walk along the beach with Kojo every weekend.”
“I know I’m fun to be around,” she teases, “but that’s an errand, Tim, the dog needs exercise.”
“I see your point but what are we supposed to do in the middle of ranch land? You want to go cow tipping?”
“We won’t be in ranch land for long,” Lucy replies, but half an hour and at least twenty turns later they’re still surrounded by fields and livestock.
“Will you admit you’re lost now?” Tim asks.
Lucy sighs, “Fine, can you please google map how to get to Route 1”
“We were on 5.”
“5’s the freeway. 1’s the scenic route,” Lucy explains. “the one that runs along the ocean.”
Before Tim can bring up the app they’re emerging into a small city centre. As Lucy continues down the main street she excitedly points ahead.
“Let’s go bowling,” she says indicating the bowling alley sign.
“I thought you wanted to go to the ocean.”
“We can still take the scenic route home, after we go bowling.”
Tim sighs.
“Come on let’s have some fun, make some memories,” Lucy encourages.
“You’re not going to take no for an answer.”
Lucy shakes her head and happily pulls into the bowling alley parking lot.
Several minutes later they have their bowling shoes on and their names entered in the computer on lane 4. Tim goes first and immediately gets a strike.
“You want to put money on this game Chen?” he asks cockily.
“Lucky shot,” Lucy replies. “I’m not betting money but if you win I’ll let you pick the route home but if I win you can’t complain when we take the scenic route.
“Deal,” he says shaking her hand.
Lucy goes next and gets two gutter balls in a row. “Why didn’t we get the bumpers?”
“The bumpers are for kids.”
On her third throw she throws the bowl with two-hands after swinging it between her legs.
“Speaking of for kids,” Tim teases.
“Don’t argue with results,” she counters as her ball connects with the pins.
They continue going back and forth, Tim using the classic one-handed bowling throw and Lucy trying a different technique each time. She tries sitting down and pushing it down the lane, pulling out the ball slide meant for toddlers, standing backwards and throwing the ball between her legs but eventually settles on the two-handed granny throw.
By half-way through the game Tim’s score is double Lucy’s and he starts to get cocky. He throws with his eyes closed, on one-foot and after spinning in a circle 10 times.
3 quarters through the game the black lights come on and they laugh at each others teeth glowing in the dark. The disco lights and music follow. Then Lucy who had been giggling and joking around all game suddenly becomes serious.
“I have two more turns and I really want a strike,” she states. She has a couple spares on the board but strikes remain elusive. Tim on the other hand has three.
“Can I show you? he questions handing her a ball.
He initially tries to coach her through the throw but she isn’t catching on so he steps behind her, puts his hand over hers and leans into her back as he guides her through the motion. The ball knocks over all but one pin but Lucy almost misses it because she’s looking up at Tim. He lets go and steps back.
“You think you can do that on your own next turn?” he asks shaking the huskiness from his voice.
She nods. Tim bowls, then it’s the moment of truth as Lucy throws her ball imaging Tim’s arm along hers, guiding it. The bowl rolls straight down the alley where it connects with the pins and knocks them all down. STRIKE flashes on the computer screen as Lucy jumps for joy then right into Tim for a celebratory hug. He’s initially surprised but is able to catch her and himself before they fall over. He spins them around as she laughs and he’s suddenly really glad Lucy made him stop.
With that the game is over. Tim’s still ahead but the margin had narrowed. They return their bowling shoes and head out to the truck.
“Fine you win this time, we can go back to the interstate but I want a rematch. I’m thinking mini-golf or the arcade,” Lucy says as she pulls out of the parking lot.
“Nah, go to the 1,” Tim says as he starts to read the directions off his phone.
Lucy looks at him quizzically but doesn’t push her luck. By 6pm they’re driving along the ocean.
---
By 7pm, although it’s not that late, it’s already dark. That combined with her lack of sleep the night before is making Lucy sleepy. When she yawns for the third time in less than 20 minutes Tim suggests they switch drivers. Lucy happily obliges pulling into the next rest stop. During the day it would have a beautiful view of the ocean but now all one can see is darkness. The only evidence of the ocean’s presence being the rhythmic, crashing of waves against the base of the cliff below.
They pull into the abandoned lot; Lucy takes her time backing into a spot, mostly just to annoy Tim and they both get out, reflexively closing their doors behind them. As they pass each other Tim holds his hand out for the keys.
“I just left them in the ignition,” Lucy explains. Tim looks over to the truck then back to her a look of defeat on his face.
“Your doors lock automatically, don’t they?” Lucy asks rhetorically, “I fucked up.”
They try the doors just in case but sure enough they’re locked.
“Well it could be worse,” Tim offers much to Lucy’s surprise, “at least it’s not running.” “I’ll call Angela and see if I can convince her to grab the extra set of keys from my house and come meet us but its going to be a couple hours.”
Lucy nods. “Thank-you and I’m sorry.”
“Don’t be,” Tim shrugs, “we’re making memories remember.” Then without another word we walks away from her as he hits a button on his phone and puts it to his ear. The conversation doesn’t last long. Angela obliges but insists that Tim now owes her one. He thinks she still owes him a couple from everything he did as her man of honour but decides now isn’t the time to bring that up. When he hangs up he finds Lucy has lowered the tailgate of his truck, where she now sits. She’s shivering, arms wrapped around herself, but she’s smiling as she looks up at the sky.
“You can see the stars here,” she explains hearing him approach, “away from the lights and smog of the city.”
Tim climbs up into the bed of his truck and removes a stack of old moving blankets from the storage box he keeps in the back.
“Angela’s on her way but in the meantime we should stay warm.” He wraps one around Lucy’s shoulders. Then lays the rest on the floor of the truck bed.
“Good thing I left these in after helping Tamara move last weekend.” He shimmies his way in-between two layers then taps the spot beside him, inviting Lucy to join. She climbs in beside him eager for more warmth. With the sun gone the temperature had dropped fast.
Lucy pulls up an app on her phone and hands it to Tim so he can identify constellations for them while her hands and arms stay hidden under the blankets. Then they lay down and look-up at the stars. Tim uses the app to find constellations, points them out to Lucy, then reads the story about them provided by the app. Meanwhile Lucy snuggles deeper and deeper into the blankets. Tim stops in the middle of the story he’s reading about the the swan constellation as the blankets are pulled off his torso.
"Stop hogging all the blankets,” he complains pulling them back.
“Sorry, I’m freezing,” she confesses.
He pauses for a second clearly debating something internally before opening his arm out to the side. “Then come closer,” he finally says.
She hesitates for a second before slowly moving to snuggle against his side. The possibility of warmth far outweighing any awkwardness she’s feeling. She rests her head on his chest. She can feel his heart racing to match her own and can’t help but smile to herself.
“Better?” he asks once she’s finished squirming around trying to maximize her view of the stars and the amount of body heat she’s receiving from him.
”You're comfier than a pillow,” she confirms, nodding.
Tim doesn’t respond just wraps his arm around her shoulders. He continues to point out constellations and read the stories in Lucy’s app.
“None of the constellations actually look like their name sakes,” Lucy says after a while.
“You have to use your imagination.”
“I could use my imagination to name my own constellations.”
He shrugs. “Go for it.”
She finds a cluster of stars that vaguely resembles a duck. She points it out to Tim then makes up a story about a duck that joined the LAPD and saved the city from a gang of geese. When she’s finished she turns to Tim,. “Your turn.”
He gives her his best ‘not happening’ look but he’s met with those pleading brown eyes that hold more power over him than he’ll ever admit and caves almost instantly.
He points out an X made of stars. “That is where the space pirates buried their treasure.” Lucy looks up at him expectantly. “The end,” he finishes.
“That’s your whole story? One sentence.”
“I’m not as creative as you.”
“Then tell a real story,” she says, “here I’ll go first.”
She points to a jumble of stars. “That is Caligula’s toy chest,” she says then proceeds to describe in great detail all the filthy, horrid things she had seen the day he taught her the DEAR method.
“Why would you tell me that?” he asks when she is done.
“Now you share my pain.”
Tim laughs and points at four stars arranged in a rectangle. “That is the phone that was used too much at work.” He spends his entire story essentially mocking her for always being on her phone. Lucy would be annoyed or insulted but the amount of detail he remembers about the completely benign things she has done is kind of sweet and a little exhilarating.
She next finds a ’surf board’ and tells the story of a weekend getaway with some collage friends that ended with a black eye, a broken board and a lot of great memories.
Tim follows suit finding a ‘football’ and telling the story of a particularly memorable championship game during his high school career. He’s half-way through his story when he interrupts himself. “You're crushing me,” he tells Lucy who is draped over his torso. “What are you even doing?” I can't breathe with you on me."
“I’m tucking in the blanket so our heat doesn’t escape,” she says as she pushes the edge of the blanket under Tim’s side along the length of his body. When she’s done she rolls off of him, cuddles back into his side then tucks the opposite blanket edge under herself.
When Tim finishes his story they continue to go back and forth, learning more and more about each other each turn. Lucy tells stories from the time she spent travelling and working odd jobs, from her time as a psych major and her time in the academy. Tim talks about his family, his time in the army, and his early years on the force and with Isabel.
He tells her about a colleague who despite being a great cop made the mistake of using his radio near an explosive and paid for it with his life. He is the reason Tim baby powder bombs every Rookie: so no other good officers will be lost because a critical piece of information was taught so dryly that it couldn’t possibly be recalled under pressure.
She tells him about her ring as she twirls it around her finger. About how she found it in her grandma’s dress-up chest when she was six and it immediately became her favourite item. How every time she played dress-up the ring was part of the costume, whether she was a princess or a ninja, a cat or a witch, a clown or a police officer. How unlike her parents, who always thought she’d follow their career paths, her grandma always told her she could be anything she wanted. How when her grandma passed away she had found the ring again as she helped her parents pack up her things. How she had started wearing it to feel closer to her. How as she looked at the ring day after day she heard her grandma’s voice in her head:  “You can do anything you put your mind too,”  “the sky’s the limit,” “do what makes you happy.” How that made her realize she was not where she wanted to be and led to her decision to quit her Master’s program.  How her parents had chalked it up to grief and tried to use psychoanalysis to convince her to return. How that had pissed Lucy off and led to her applying to the LAPD. How she had continued to wear the ring as a reminder and motivator during her training. How much it had meant to her to have it returned. How now it not only symbolizes her grandma’s belief in her, but also Tim’s and her own. How it continues to give her strength.
As Lucy talks Tim rubs circles on her back as if connecting the stars that constitute Lucy’s ‘ring’ constellation.
Just as she finishes she excitedly points up. “Look a shooting star!”
“Make a wish,” Tim advises.
“I wish we could stay like this forever.” She surprises herself by how quick and confident that comes out. She hadn’t even thought about it, but it is true. In this moment everything is perfect. She is no longer cold. She is warm and happy in her little burrito with Tim: wearing his shirt, listening to the ocean, surrounded by stars.
Lucy half hears Tim name a constellation “the best boot I ever trained” and start to tell a Coles notes version of their story but she’s already falling asleep.
She wakes up some time later to Tim shifting beside her.
“Don’t move,” she groans still half-asleep.“
“Ange is here Luce. It’s time to go home.”
“Am home,” she mumbles before falling back asleep.
Tim manages to free himself from Lucy and the blankets. He shuffles out of the back of the truck and walks around it to meet Angela who is just getting out of her car.
“Where have you been,” Tim asks.
“Driving.”
“I mean, what took you so long?”
“I thought you might be enjoying your alone time with Lucy more than you’d admit, so I didn’t rush.”
He wanted to argue but he couldn’t. “Thank-you for coming.”
She shrugs. “Honestly, when your baby refuses to sleep anywhere but a moving car a 4 hour drive is not as inconvenient as it sounds.”
As if to prove her point the infant starts wailing from inside the vehicle.
Before Angela can move Tim’s opening her car door and removing his god child from the car seat. He holds the baby to his chest and starts rocking him. As the baby continues to scream and Tim continues to rock, sway and bounce, Lucy emerges from behind Tim’s truck seemingly woken by the crying.
“There’s my favourite little guy,” she coos as she approaches. “You’ve gotten so big. Next time I see you you’ll be taller than your Uncle Tim,” she continues as she rubs the baby’s back. Despite all the attention the baby continues to fuss.
“He’s hungry,” Angela explains. “Give him this,” she continues handing him a full bottle, “I pumped on the way here.”
“You pumped while driving?”
“It’s called multitasking.”
Tim takes the bottle and offers it to the baby who immediately begins suckling. While the baby drinks Lucy goes back to Tim’s truck and grabs some blankets. She gives one to Angela, drapes another over Tim and the little boy and wraps herself in the last.
Over the next half an hour Tim and Lucy work together to feed, burp, and change the baby before putting him back in his carseat, all while his mother watches with a very amused expression. When he’s buckled in they say their goodbyes, thank Angela again, then head back to Tim’s truck, which is now unlocked.
By 10pm they are back on the road. They spend the rest of the drive cooing over baby Evers and talking about their own theoretical future kids. While conveniently avoiding any mention of theoretical future spouses or co-parents.
By midnight Lucy is just getting home. As she walks through the door she sees Jackson on the couch watching TV.
“Why are you so late?” he asks turning towards her.
“Long story.”
“Is that Tim’s shirt?”
“Longer story.”
“Aha,” Jackson says giving her a knowing look.
She just rolls her eyes and goes to get ready for bed. She falls asleep almost immediately and dreams of sweets and stars, babies and bowling and a life with Tim.

Quick recap: you’re friend Stephanie makes the point that you like the twins which you had been denying. After the twins try to get you to tell them who you like, you went quiet for a couple weeks as you have an internal battle between your heart and brain. You all go to a party and you get drunk, spilling a little bit of who you like to the boys. And go!
The next morning you can be found still in bed at 9, meaning you’ve completely missed breakfast, but you honestly couldn’t care less at the moment given you’re still asleep.
For the twins, however, they’d been awake for a couple hours now and knew you’d be grumpy if you had to wait until lunch to eat once you did, finally, get up.
Being the good friends they are, they figured they’d take some food back up to your dorm for you. They figured you’d more than likely still be asleep or at the very least tied to your bed with probably the worst hangover to date.
Upon entering your dorm, George notices you’re still asleep and smiles, motioning to his brother to be quiet. Fred peaks his head in and smiles at you sleeping so peacefully...too bad they were going to ruin it.
“Morning, y/n!” They both yelled as they jumped onto your bed either side of you causing you to fly up from your spot.
“Oh for Merlin’s sake.” You groan when you hit the bed again, you’re head throbbing with a headache.
“You’re both so fucking rude.” You pout, pulling a pillow over your head to try to block out the light and sound of your room.
“Good morning to you too, gorgeous.” Fred teases, laying down beside you.
“Did you sleep well?” George asks, ever so gently lifting the pillow from your head to talk to you.
“I guess. Bloody hell, how drunk was I last night?” You ask, finally sitting up against the wall as they sat either side of you, facing you.
“From what we could tell, you were wasted. Do you even remember anything at all?” George asks, looking over to Fred. Both of them were curious to know if you did, and if so, what. They were sure that you were talking about them being your crushes, but they didn’t want to assume anything in case you had been talking about someone else.
“Uhm....I remember getting there. There was a hufflepuff girl that complimented my outfit. I asked where the alcohol was....and then I believe I was on my...fifth drink when Oliver fell down after downing three butter beers? He’d had a lot beforehand, though.” You chuckle trying to recall the previous night.
“Oliver fell down around 9:30. We didn’t bring you home until after midnight. Do you remember anything else after that?”
You stop and think, frowning as you realize you really can’t. You remember that you were having a lot of fun, but you can’t remember any specific details.
“N-No...I guess I can’t.” You frown looking between the two of them.
They share a moment of understanding as a conversation plays out with just their glances. What they agree upon, however, is beyond your guess.
“I didn’t do anything dumb, did I?” You ask as you stand up, having climbed your way over George’s legs.
You wanted to change and clean off your face, but the thought that you did something humiliating stops you.
“Nothing stupid, no. You were going on about who you like though.” Fred mentions, sharing a look with George as you freeze again.
The twins wanted you to admit who you liked sober so they knew for sure that you liked them, because even though alcohol is supposed to make you speak the truth, it can’t always be trusted. Sometimes you say things just to say them.
“Did I now? Well, what did I say?”
You were worried that you had spilled everything to them as you really have no idea what you did say. If you did spill everything, where does that put the three of you?
“You said they were funny,” he replies.
“Brilliant.” George adds.
“Kind,”
“And absolutely adorable.” They say in sync, smiling at you as you nod, wiping off your makeup.
“Did I mention any names?” You ask, eyeing them through the mirror.
“No, but it’s only a matter of time before we find out who it is, right George?” Fred answers causing you to let out a breath you didn’t realize you were holding.
“Right, Fred. We’ll be hyper vigilant from here on out. Any guy you talk to we’ll be analyzing from afar.”
“Good luck with that, guys. There’s no way I’m telling you who they are.”
You turn the facet on to begin washing your face more thoroughly.
“We’ll figure it out, don’t you worry.” Fred smiles as they both watch you washing your face.
“What? Why are you both staring at me?” You giggle, a bit uncomfortable.
“You just look really nice in that dress.” George smiles, causing a faint blush to rise to your cheeks.
“You do. You looked stunning last night all dolled up.” Fred agrees.
Again you smile, your blush only deepening as you nod back at them in thanks.
~.~
A few days have passed since the party and luckily, neither of the twins have mentioned much about trying to figure out who your crushes are. As far as you’re aware, they’re looking for two completely different people.
“Good morning, gorgeous. How are you this morning? Steph asks, sitting beside you at breakfast.
“Tired. I didn’t sleep well last night.” You state, taking a sip from your coffee.
“Aw, how come?”
You watch as she starts piling stuff onto her plate.
“Too busy worrying about classes again. Had a nightmare that I messed up a potion and singed my eyebrows off, not to mention setting the classroom aflame.” You sigh, taking a bite of toast.
“Why didn’t you just put it out?”
“Well, I did....” you start, smiling at the twins as they joined you.
“But instead of just putting out the fire, I ended up flooding the classroom. Instead of just a smooth stream of water when I cast Augmenti, I somehow cast a whole bloody river.”
“Bad dream?” George asks, after a sip of coffee.
“Yeah, fortunately. I’d be so embarrassed if that happened in life.” You say, shaking your head at just the thought of it.
“There’s no way you could. You’re one of the best witches at the school, y/n.” Fred states, causing a small blush to rise to your cheeks as you thank him.
“Well I’d love to stay and catch up with all of you, but I have some reading I need to do before classes this morning. I’ll see you all in charms!” You say, as you get up and leave.
The twins watch after you as you leave, smiling to themselves as you wave to one of your ravenclaw friends that called out to you.
“So how are you two this morning?” Steph asks, smirking to herself.
“Wonderful.”
“Brilliant.”
“When are you going to tell her?” She asks, looking between the two of them.
“Tell her what?” Fred asks.
“That you guys like her? Don’t even try to deny it. I’ve noticed every time you both look at her when she’s not paying attention and I’ve seen the way you guys smile over her. You seriously look like lovesick puppies.”
“No, your right. We just...we don’t know.”
“We’re kinda waiting for the right time and it just isn’t yet.” George adds.
“You better tell her soon, all the sexual tension at this table is suffocating.”
The twins laugh, but know you’re right. They need to tell you soon.
They kept to their promise and analyzed the body language, and conversations if they could hear them, of you and any guy you have talked to. they’re certain you don’t like anyone else and that you were talking about them. The thought that it still might be someone else, however, worried them.
~.~
At dinner that night, you’re all chatting away when McGonagall stands up to make an announcement.
“Boys and Girls, it’s again that time in the year where I will be getting a list of those staying here over the winter break. I will be taking the end of this week and beginning of next to come around and check bases with each of you. Thank you.”
Slowly the sound of chatter from all tables starts up again. You smile as you turn back to your friends. Christmas has always been your favourite time of year.
“Y/n, you’ll be coming to the burrow again right?” George asks.
“Of course, dummy. It’s my favourite place besides here. Your mum is absolutely amazing.” You smile, giggling as Steph bumps shoulders with you when you said it’s your favourite place.
You know she’s still trying to get you to admit your feelings to Fred and George, but thankfully she’s backed off on verbally saying it.
“Good. Mum loves having you over, doesn’t she Fred?” George smiles.
“Oh yeah. I think she’d be very happy if you were her daughter.” He laughs, a big smile lighting up his face.
“And I mean, we like when you’re over too.” George says, blushing a bit himself as his words bring a blush to your cheeks.
“Of course you do,” You laugh. “You guys just like that I keep your mum from yelling at you two all the time. That and how I sing Christmas carols nonstop.”
Both of them groan and roll their eyes when you say that even though, secretly, they really do love the amount of extra joy you bring to the house around the holidays.
~.~
“Ah! There are my favourite children.” You can hear Molly call as you step off the train after Ginny, Ron, and Harry - Fred and George following after you.
“Oh, you’ve all grown so much since the start of term. Y/n, darling, you’re just as beautiful as ever.” Molly gushes.
“Thank you, Mrs. Weasley. It’s wonderful to see you again.” You smile as you give her a hug.
“You too, dear.” She smiles as you both pull away.
“Come on now, let’s get back to the burrow. Y/n, I could really use your help doing some baking when we get there?”
“Of course.” You smile, picking up your bag that George had carried off the train for you.
“Mum, don’t you think she should get to rest a minute before jumping in to help with preparations?” Fred asks, a bit upset that she asked you so quickly when Ginny is able to help just as much and is her actual daughter.
He’s never liked when people take advantage of you. It didn’t happen terribly often, but usually when it did you never even noticed because you thought you were just helping a friend. You’re extremely kind and helpful, but he’s seen some of your “friends” use you until they get what they were after and then dump you. He’s also seen how much that bothers you when you realize they really weren’t that much of a friend.
“Well, yes. Of course. You all should. Take a moment to unpack and get settled in.” Mrs. Weasley states as you all pile into the car.
Harry, Ron, and Ginny sit in the front with Mrs. Weasley, leaving you, Fred, and George to squeeze into the back seat. While the car is roomy, the backseat is not particularly made to fit three teens, especially when two of them are about 6 feet tall, along with the luggage that didn’t fit in the trunk. Both Fred and George had agreed it would be easier if you sat in the middle since you were smaller, however you were still nearly sitting on top of them due to the lack of room. Neither of them complained though as they quite liked how close you were to them.
~.~
Once you had all arrived to the burrow you each went to your respective rooms - Fred and George to theirs, Ron and Harry to Ron’s room, and you and Ginny to her room.
You sighed contently as you set your bag on the floor.
“Did you have a nice ride over here, y/n?” Ginny asks, smirking.
“What do you mean, Gin?”
“You were practically sitting on the twins’ laps. That must have been nice, right?”
You hadn’t ever directly told her you liked her two older brothers, but she could tell from the way you looked at them and teased them.
“It would’ve been nicer to not be piled on top of each other.” You chuckled.
“I agree with you there.” She smiled, beginning to unpack her bag.
“So what about you? How are you doing with Harry?” You smirk. She wouldn’t admit it, but it was obvious that she had a crush on him. You’ve noticed how she talks about him, attempting to causally bring it up in conversation between the two of you, but you knew.
“What? I don’t -“
“C’mon, Ginny. You know I won’t tell, but I do know that you like him.”
“Fine, yeah. I do. I don’t expect it to go anywhere though. I mean, he’s Harry Potter and I’m younger than him anyway.”
“You’d be surprised, Gin. Just keep trying.” You smile.
“So what about you, Fred, and George? You do like them, don’t you?” She asks as you unpack a few of your things.
“I do, but it’s just really complicated. I don’t want to ruin anything, you know? I’ve gained so much since meeting them, from having them as friends to gaining all of you as a family....I don’t want to lose any of that.”
“Awe, y/n! I love you. You’d never lose me, I promise.” Ginny smiles as she hugs you.
“I love you too, Gin. I’m glad I’ll always have you.” You laugh, hugging her back as a smile takes over your features.
Christmas time at the burrow has begun and you were happy that you were able to be a part of it. There isn’t anywhere else you’d rather spend it.

Blazing Blue part 2
Chapter 2: So, it’s not a play date?
Pigsy was closing up shop when MK stuck his head around the door sheepishly.
“There you are! I was getting worried, did things with Monkey King run late or something?” he asked gruffly as he put away the last of the cooking pots for the day.
“Well, no…but I got held up by something…hey do we have any leftover noodles?” MK asked trying his best to be nonchalant, Pigsy glanced at him and gestured to the fridge.
“I know how hungry you get after your training sessions” Pigsy exclaimed, and raised an eyebrow at MK who was smiling a bit too broadly and looking…twitchy which was never a good sign. “Ok what is it?” he sighed.
“Well… I have a someone who needs to crash somewhere for a while so I was hoping…just for tonight?” MK said ever so sweetly and Pigsy face palmed.
“Ok I really don’t want to ask but I feel I need to, who is it?”
“…Red Son?”
Pigsy stared at him, gave a growl of frustration before rubbing the bridge of his snout to try and elevate the stress headache he can already feel coming on.
“Kid…times like this I really wish this wasn’t based on a children’s cartoon, because what I really want to say to that is not allowed for a kid audience!”
“Oh, but this is a fanfic written by an adult, who really needs to get out more.” MK offered.
“It is? Oh good” Pigsy took a deep breath and then said as calmly as possible “Fuck no!”
“Com’on, he’s is in a bit of a rough spot and needs somewhere to stay! We’re even truce buddies!”
“I never agreed to that term!” Red Son called from outside, MK reached out the door and dragged him in.
“He’s a demon? He is the son of one of your enemies? He tried to turn you into ash countless times? Need I continue to list reason why this is a bad idea??!” Pigsy shouted angrily.
“Look, I know where I’m not wanted, I shall take my leave!” Red Son growled and began to walk back out when MK grabbed his sleeve. “This is pointless he’s isn’t going to let me stay!”
“Damn right I’m not!” Pigsy retorted.
“Last time I checked I own the apartment above the noodle shop so really…” MK said slyly and Pigsy put a hand in front of his face.
“I rent it to you, so don’t even give me that nonsense that you have a say!”
“UGH fine!” MK growled and lead Red Son out of the Noodle shop, only for him to drag him behind the alleyway and use his staff to leap up to his apartment window, gesturing for Red Son to follow.
“You’re seriously going behind your friend’s back for me?” Red Son asked as he leapt up and through the window. MK walked in and started to tidy up the apartment to a more acceptable level of messy as Red Son looked around, last time he was in here he had burnt a lot of stuff. MK must have had to replace many belongings… so why was he this willing to help him?
“Pigsy just needs time to get to know you” MK explained as he got out a spare blanket and laid it out on the sofa. “Umm…is this, okay? I mean I’ve only got the one bed…”
“I may be a demon but even I have good manners when it comes to being a guest” Red Son declared loftily, besides he thought to himself as he sat down, I’ve been sleeping on the floor of our destroyed home for the last few weeks. This is heaven compared to that.
“Don’t worry we’ll find you somewhere tomorrow” MK said as he took off his jacket to get ready for bed and noticed that Red Son had not moved. “Umm…wanna take off your coat and get comfortable?”
Red Son gripped his coat and glanced away.
“Kind of hard to get comfortable in the home of an enemy…” he muttered.
“Now none of that! Remember we are Truce Buddies, I’m not so underhanded that I’d attack you in your sleep” MK declared confidently.
He might though MK suddenly thought to himself as it dawned on him that this could go wrong very quickly.
“Look, do you demons have anything to …I don’t know swear by? Because I’ve just realised this might be a long con or something to lure me into a false sense of security.” MK asked, Red Son sighed and looked up at him.
“It took you this long to think of that scenario? Noodle Boy are you really that naïve?” he demanded angrily but stood up anyway, “Normally I would have sworn on my family name but…given certain circumstances that’s not an option. So, I’ll swear on my flame that I will not do anything to intentionally endanger you or your friends so long as you swear on The Monkey Staff that you do the same!” he held out his hand and a small fire ball appeared and held out the other to shake with, MK took out his staff and took Red Son’s hand and shook it in agreement.
“Right, we are officially Truce Buddies!” MK beamed happily.
“I didn’t agree to that name!” Red Son snapped.
The next morning Tang walked in to grab his noodles for lunch, Pigsy was dicing up the vegetables to make the first batch for the day but had a fire extinguisher strapped to his back …and Red Son was sitting at a table looking grumpier than usual and also that he looked like he had fought a car wash and lost.
“Ok I feel like I missed something?” Tang declared.
“MK thought it would be a brilliant idea to sneak Demon Boy in for a sleep over, but didn’t take into consideration that fire alarms exist!” Pigsy exclaimed angrily “Now MK is on kitchen clean up duty for eternity for going behind my back and NEARLY SETTING FIRE TO MY BUILDING!!”
“In my defence” Red Son announced “I only sneezed.”
“I ain’t taking any chances Demon boy! You try anything and I’mma hosing you down!”
Tang sat down keeping Red Son in his peripherals and saw MK mopping the floor with an embarrassed look of defeat on his face.
“So, just to acknowledge the elephant in the room…why is Red Son here?” he asked gently.
“Because MK wanted a pet!”
“RED SON IS NO ONE’S PET!” Red Son shouted flaring up as he did so and got a face full of extinguisher foam in his face for his troubles. “WILL YOU STOP THAT??!”
“Okay…and the real reason MK?” Tang inquired as MK came out to mop up the foam for the third time that morning.
“We kind of have a Truce going on.” He said simply.
“That seems…fair I guess?”
“Yeah, well he can go home now cos I don’t want him here disturbing my business!” Pigsy growled and Red Son suddenly hunched over and glared at the wall angrily.
“If this is how you treat your patrons then maybe I’m not the problem!” he growled under this breath. Pigsy gave him a look and then turned back to his stove, he tried to turn it on but…nothing. He tried again and again for a few minutes but still nothing happened.
“Com’on! Com’on you piece of junk!” Pigsy muttered under his breath.
“I keep telling you need a new stove” Tang exclaimed.
“Last time I checked they don’t give them out for free! The freaking lighters are dead I’ll have to…” Pigsy said but stopped as a small fire ball flit past both of them and lit the stove top. They both spun around to see Red Son putting his hand down.
“Uhm…thanks?”
“Don’t read too much into it, I’m just hungry” he said quietly.
Pigsy shrugged and got to work and soon he brought out two bowls of noodle soup and placed one of them gingerly near Red Son, who took it and ate it quietly. After a few minutes Pigsy looked up to see Red Son smiling softly.
“What are you so happy about?” he demanded gruffly.
“Family recipe?” Red Son asked.
“Handed down through the generations. Why?” Pigsy replied cautiously.
“They remind me of this noodle stand I used to go to a lot when I was a child, it was my favourite place to eat back then. I suppose the taste makes me nostalgic” Red Son explained, Pigsy looked at him warily and then back at his photo wall.
“Pull the other one kid, my family started this business on a noodle stand but that belong to my great, great grandfather. You’re not even old enough to be around when this shop opened!”
“I’m a lot older than I look, don’t forget demons count their lifespans in decades not years…in fact if I remember correctly back then photographs were only just becoming a thing and I was there when they took the photo. The guy looked proud as anything of his little noodle stall”
Pigsy spun around and scanned his photo wall, and sure enough there was the photo that was handed down along with the recipes. It was tattered and faded over the years but it still showed the look of absolute pride that Noodle chief had of his livelihood not knowing of what a family business he was about to create. And in the background was a kid with flaming spikey hair sitting at the stall while holding a bowl.
“Wait…that’s you?!”
“Why would I lie about that?”
“And the flavour just as good as Great, Great Grand pappy’s?”
“Even better I’d say”
Tang slammed down his bowl and ran up to Red Son.
“WAIT A SECOND!” He cried in ecstatic glee “You’re immortal??!”
“No…demons can age and die we just live longer. Think of it as reverse dog years” Red Son said a bit put off by this sudden attention of the quiet book worm.
“Then you’ve must have seen a lot in your time!” Tang squealed “I bet you’ve even met some of the other legends throughout the ages!”
Red Son gave a cocky smile and gestured confidently.
“Why yes, I have, though I’ve never spoke to them I have seen many historical figures come and go not to mention the rise and fall of emperors and kings, to be honest it gets a bit boring after a while!” he declared smugly, now enjoying the fact that Tang was practically frothing at the mouth at the idea of questioning a being that probably lived through most of his text books.
“Have you met any of the sages…I mean besides Monkey King?” Tang asked eagerly Red Son’s cocky smile evaporated for a second and his hand wandered up to his neck before shrugging.
“I guess so, but I was very little when that happened…” he said dismissively.
“What were they like?” Tang kept on.
“… …scary” Red Son whispered. “I remember them being very scary.”
“Pardon? I didn’t quite catch that?”
“They were pompous jerks who picked on a little kid, whose only crime was being born okay??” he snapped angrily and stood up. MK who had been watching this from the kitchen walked up quickly to the angry demon before Pigsy had to get the fire extinguisher again.
“Ok maybe we should talk to Sandy about that problem now hey? Pigsy? can I take off now?” the three looked up at Pigsy who was still standing there with a look of blissful glee.
“Good as Great, Great Grand pappy’s” he sighed happily before snapping out of it. “Uh yeah sure seeing as Demon boy didn’t burn down my shop and helped out a little, I guess I can be lenient…but don’t try anything like this again got it??!”
MK saluted and Red Son wiped off the last of the foam from his hair as they left.
“So now what?” Red Son asked.
“We see if Sandy has a spare bed for you…hey were you serious about Pigsy’s family stall thing?”
“Like I said I had no need to lie about it.”
“And you’re seriously like…really, really old?”
“I’m still a child compared to others of my kind but yes”
“Why do you look human?”
“What’s with all the questions?”
“It’s just, except for your mom and you every other demon I met looked…I don’t know weird.”
“And seriously how often do we get to question a person like you? It’s like interviewing a keshin!” Tang interjected as he walked in between them causing both boys to leap out of their skins and glare at him.
“You will have to excuse me if I don’t want to expose all my family secrets in one sitting with the people who are considered my enemies!” Red Son growled; MK opened his mouth but before he could say anything Red Son held up a hand to him. “Yes, yes ‘Truce Buddies’ I know but just because I am on that agreement doesn’t mean my family is!”
“So, let’s hope we don’t run into Demon Bull King huh?” Tang declared. “Because that would be super awkward for all parties, wouldn’t it?”
“Trust me I doubt my father even notices…and wasn’t the whole point of this ‘Truce Buddies’ thing was to FORGET about my family and your mentor, to just enjoy the day, have fun or whatever happy go lucky idea you suggested?!” Red Son exclaimed angrily “Quizzing me on my family history seems to be a bit off the mark wouldn’t you say?”
“Oh right, right” MK mumbled and rubbed the back of his head.
“Wait…you two agreed to a play date?” Tang asked.
“ITS NOT A PLAY DATE!”  both boys screamed in horror.
As they headed to Sandy’s ship MK was on his phone texting Mai.
“Okay so Mai knows what’s going on and she’s going to meet us at Sandy’s. Also, she’s bringing snacks and her favourite video games so she can … ‘Show red boy how to have a good time, hero style’…” he said as he read the text out. Red Son gave a weary sigh remembering that massive hero speech she had given him while they were getting the peach of immortality. Then to hint at his father with all the subtly of a cannon launched brick through a glass window that he had done “Good hero work” …it took him forever to get over that humiliation.
As he contemplated the fact, he now has to endure her company and she probably will take this “Truce Buddies” agreement as a sign that he is going to become a hero and won’t shut up about it, his train of thought was destroyed as something smacked him on the back sending him stumbling and nearly hitting the pavement.
“HEY!” he shouted looked back, fire ball in hand ready to roast whoever responsible. “HOW DARE YOU TRY TO TRIP UP RED SON??!” but no one was there to enact his rage on.
“You okay Red?” Tang asked.
“…fine I’m fine…must have tripped or something…” he growled. As they walked on, they didn’t see the shadows following them purple eyes grinning in the darkness.
“This got a lot more fun…” Macaque sniggered.
