Tag Game: OC Interaction (Round... 4?)
(idk why I keep trying to count these)
Thanks for the tag @illarian-rambling! I immediately knew who I wanted for this one lol
Tagger's OC: Mashal Darezsho is a towering robot man with bronze plating, a human looking face, and baggy clothes. He is incredibly strong and fights with a sword. As a person, he's kind and honorable, even knightly, and enjoys nothing more than helping people in need. He loves listening to folk talk and takes pleasure in the simple beauty of the world, translating this to sketch art. He is quite orderly. His main issue is that he has a strong sense of right and wrong, but he also extends his morality to others, making choices for them whether they asked for it or not. In addition, he tends to be rather naive due to his inclination towards seeing the best in people. Sometimes, this works out and he helps people to become a better version of themselves. Other times, not so much. However, beneath all this is a hidden violent streak. Mashal doesn't remember his past. He doesn't remember how he came to be broken on the side of the road. All he knows is that there is someone out there he must kill, and that anything magic-adjacent causes something deep within him to freeze with horror and rage. He tries not to give in to this dark current, to remain honorable and helpful, but every so often, he slips up.
My OC: Jarsali Fortus is an Ilunian Tinker with red-blonde hair, pale violet eyes, a creative streak, a sense of humor and a big stick to wack people with. She forges strong bonds with those she trusts, and if that trust is broken there is little hope of forgiveness. She wants nothing more than to build a world where Mages are as widely accepted as where she grew up, but she has to settle with helping Mages on the run. She is good with her hands, always working on one new project or another. A Storm Mage, she has the ability to change the weather and generate lightning, something she makes use of in combat or with her clockwork inventions. Because of this, she doesn't carry around metal objects. Sometimes she wishes that her eyes weren't such an unusual color, it's the second-most-obvious giveaway that she's a Mage (the first being altered hair color, although that's incredibly rare). She hides a lot of trauma behind her usually sunny and joking demeanor, and prefers to bottle up any negative emotions (side effect of being an eldest daughter). Most of those emotions are guilt over something she had no control over. Naturally, keeping such a tight rein on her emotions has caused them to burst out, producing unexpected, electric results.
Interaction: I can tell you right away that Jarsali would be all over Mashal, trying to figure out how he works and if she could replicate it (unlikely). She would back off if he expressed discomfort, but she would still probably pepper him with questions. Poor guy. She also knows someone who also doesn't remember his past, so she might not be able to relate to him but she'd suggest some tricks that helped her friend instead (might not work, but it's the thought that counts, right?). Curiosity aside, I think they would bond over having creative minds and strong moral codes. Finally, Jarsali would be careful to not use her powers around Mashal, even in combat situations, because bronze is a really good conductor and she doesn't want to risk accidentally killing him with a lightning strike. This may or may not work, due to the aforementioned unhealthy emotional coping mechanisms. If that issue ever comes up, who knows, they may bond over that too! (and/or find better ones together)
Gently tagging @imsoveryveryconfusedatlife @fourwingedwriter @phoenixradiant @pluppsauthor @scaewolf

OC Interaction Tag
I was tagged by @willtheweaver (here) and @illarian-rambling (here)! Thank you so much for the tag!
Rules: describe an OC and pair how they would interact with the given OCs from the people who tagged you!
Imma do this in two parts, so I'll go with Nimwen from Of Starlight and Beasts for Part 1 because I feel like I don't talk about that girl enough! Then I'll go with my boy Renn from the unnamed standalone fairytale WIP that plopped its way into my brain this weekend and hasn't let go since, for Part 2!
Part 1
Will's OC: Fen is a crow. But he does not act like one, having grown up among the foxes of the forest. All his life, he has had to keep his identity a secret. For obvious reasons, Fen does not let too much of himself be known. What he does show is an understanding nature ,and a knack for bringing out the best in others. Storyteller, a good fighter, tracker, and cook, he is skilled in many arts, though you’d never know that from the way he stays humble and modest. He values friendship, and will support those he trust.
My OC: Nimwen is an 18 year old girl who has spent most of her life (since she was 8) travelling through the uncharted forests of a region popularly called "the wilds", with her adoptive brother Scarlet and their little band of misfits. They live on the outskirts of society, since their kingdom has been so dilligently outcasting them, but they don't seem to mind it. All in all, Nimwen is an awkward, overly anxious, often paranoid but incredibly sweet girl, though she rarely lets strangers get too close to her. She embodies the energy of a skittish deer that will bolt at the nearest sign of danger, even if its a false alarm, though she has very good reasons to be that way - her father was wrongfully executed for treason, and the people of the kingdom didn't exactly give her much reason to trust them after what they did, so yeah. She's very in touch with nature and other people's feelings though she somehow seems very much oblivious to her own. She prefers to avoid confrontation, and will only fight if that's the absolute last resort in a life or death situation. She loves very deeply and makes strong bonds once you get to know her properly.
How they'd interact: I think Nimwen wouldn't be that surprised to meet a sentient, possibly talking, crow - she lives in a world where that kind of magic is actually rather common. So, once they'd met, I think those two would get along pretty well and would likely become good friends. She'd probably be very excited to learn about the new places this bird has seen and flown to, and they'd have a lot in common to talk about when it comes to forests and such. She'd likely listen to his stories for hours on end, never losing interest. The only tricky part would be convincing her brother that Fen is not a spy sent by the King to get them both killed, but once that's out of the way, I'd say conversations would be pretty interesting. Nim's an expert secret keeper, so I firmly believe keeping Fen's identity hidden will not be difficult for her.
Part 2
Illarian's OC: Twenari is an adolescent girl (12 in the first book, 16 in the second two) with short locs and a preference for skirts over pants. She is a prodigy sorcerer and general gifted kid. Throughout her childhood, her smuggler mother used her as a source of magical security and intimidation, which eventually caused her to run away after being forced to commit one too many unsavory acts. Because of this, Twenari acts much older than she is. She's pragmatic, blunt, and strategic. However, in other ways, she's very behind the learning curve. She's painfully introverted and never learned to socialize beyond formal events. Magic is her darling and purpose. She's insatiably curious about everything, but mostly, she wants to understand all the world has to offer in the field of the arcane. She's also at a kill count of about six. That's what happens when you're constantly chased by mercenaries and have the ability to explode people with your brain
My OC: Renn is a young man in his late teens (his exact age hasn't been specified yet, but he's suspected to be around 16-19) with a penchant for dark humor and a love for all that's mysterious and slightly macabre. He has a very strong vibe that is reminiscent of those early 2000s goth/emo kids, minus the angst - just the aesthetics and the sometimes deeply philosophical existential crisis - despite his fantasy medieval setting. He is a rule breaker and likes to question authorities at every chance he gets, and is also very savvy about the true inner workings of their seemingly perfect kingdom. It is implied that he has some kind of secret he is keeping hidden at all costs, and that implication would be true, but its not what most people would assume. While the townsfolk mostly label him as this unhinged/"crazy" reject who is always causing trouble and is up to no good, he is actually a really sweet kid that just had some truly fucked up stuff happen in his past. He is a loyal friend and values honesty and integrity above all else, even if it means he'll have to go down fighting for what he believes in. Despite all of this intensity, he just wants someone to truly understand him and have a pure friendship towards him. He is also implied to be gifted in some kind of magic, though it isn't specified which, and that he has knowlege of "forbidden arts".
How I think they'd interact: I believe Renn would see Twenari as a little sister figure of sorts, mostly because she is a few years younger than him (especially in her first book) but also because he probably sees a lot of his younger self in her - the painful introversion, the passion and drive for knowledge, the wish to cut free from the past. I think that given their personalities and pasts they'd probably get along quite well, especially when it comes to their insatiable curiosity for the arcane, as well as their wish to understand a world that is just so confusing to them as it is. They'd probably disagree a bit when it comes to rules though - as you mentioned she's pragmatic, and I know Renn's a certified rule breaker - but they would probably find a way to work around that. They're also kids who are very smart and who are way too mature for their own age due to having to grow up too fast, so I can see them relating to eachother in that way too.

OC Interaction Tag Game: Jarsali and Lettic
My thanks to @tildeathiwillwrite for the tag!
Kate's OC: Jarsali Fortus is an Ilunian Tinker with red-blonde hair, pale violet eyes, a creative streak, a sense of humor and a big stick to wack people with.
My OC: Lettic Hjodyrsson is a young Aladorian goatherd, training to become a knight. He shares his older brother's golden hair and his oldest brother's muscular frame, though he's significantly shorter than both of them. He's not particularly touchy about it, seeing as he is the youngest and can still knock most people flat if he wants to. He enjoys exercise and wrestling, as well as math (but he hates negative square roots). Though he's often described as jaded and mistrusting, anyone who knows him more than incidentally would say he's among the most honorable people they know. He's fiercely devoted and would rather die than break his word, will work himself down to the bone to ensure your well-being, and will provide emotional support, in his own terse way, should you need it, though it often comes in the form of dry jokes at your expense. The corollary to the rigorous standards he meets, however, is that he expects the same from others. He has thus far been disappointed, and so he spends much of his time alone, training his woodworking skills and exploring the wilderness, with neither friend nor purpose to guide him. Since his brother Cellic joined the Deathguard, Lettic has heard high reports of King Faldarin, and has decided to pursue knighthood as a path forward. The concepts of oaths, duty, and the thrill of the fight entice him.
Interaction: The most likely circumstance of their meeting would be through Cellic or Maiph, both of which would drag Lettic into helping Jarsali get another mage out of trouble, likely with a group of Thasnian mage slavers (they both are mages and enslave mages, and while technically illegal in Alador, for international relations reasons they're very hard to deal with). While he'd be nauseated by her cheeriness, he'd agree for family's sake and for the principle of the thing. Her jokes would be countered by the most deadpan, moodkilling expression, and then he would say something back that was sarcastic, but sounds completely serious. Either he'd provoke an emotional outburst by destroying her counterfeit mood, or she'd be so stubbornly, desperately happy that he'd stop talking just so he could stop hearing about it. After the job is done he'd inquire about her motives, she'd tell him, and it would sound too altruistic so he'd just fold his arms and go "yeah right" and insist on tagging along until he figures out what she's really after. Once she proves her good intentions (or fesses up about what she's been repressing) he might actually consider her a friend, though whether or not she'll appreciate his personality in return isn't certain.

OC Interaction Tag
thank you for the tag, @illarian-rambling! 🤩
Rules: Provide a short description of your OC, then using the description given by the person who tagged you, describe how you think the two of them would interact.
Illarian's OC: Astra DuClaire is a 25 year old witch. She was too poor to get a proper education, so she snuck into lecture halls and bribed her way into labs to learn her trade, eventually taking on the specialty of runic mechanics. After learning all she could, she slapped some steel baba yaga legs on a vardo wagon and began her business as a traveling mage in the sketchy land of her birth. As a person, the first thing one would notice about Astra is her arrogance. She's prideful to a fault when it comes to her magic, though this is mostly a front to cover up some deep insecurities regarding her lackluster education. She loves helping people, is hungry to learn new things, and has a deep, angry sense of social justice. She believes all people have inalienable dignity. In her dialog, she's coarse and has a raunchy saying for every occasion. It doesn't matter that she's five nothing, her argumentative streak stretches into next week and she will be a bitch about it. But as angry as she can be, she has just as big a capacity for wonder and love. Her hobbies include tinkering, embroidery, and pirating music.
My OC: Cerris is a 23-year-old adventurer, albeit somewhat reluctantly, and the champion of a temperamental storm god. At the start of the story, he was fairly naive and trusting, a fact that was grossly taken advantage of by several bad actors to disastrous results. In the aftermath, he's become a lot more wary, cynical, and sarcastic. He hasn't lost his drive to do good—in fact, he's probably more devoted to good-doing now than ever before—but it's taken on something of a self-sacrificial edge due to the extreme guilt he feels over the aforementioned disasters. He's more than willing to throw himself in harm's way if it means protecting someone else. He's also more than willing to throw himself in harm's way for no particular reason, as he's gotten into a bad habit of being rather tactless and petty when dealing with super powerful beings and people who have weapons pointed directly at his face. At the same time, he is incredibly caring and patient with the few people he does trust, and will often awkwardly show his affection with small gifts. His only hobbies are whittling and playing "What did you steal from me today?" with his adopted child Milo.
How they'd interact: Given that Astra would initially come off as prideful, arrogant, and bitchy, Cerris probably wouldn't like her much at first. If forced to spend time together, though, I imagine they'd eventually bond over their shared traits of righteous anger and desire to help others, and the mutual pettiness would turn into vitriolic but friendly banter.
i'll tag @somethingclevermahogony and @roach-pizza, as well as anyone else who wants to play—including all my fellow Curse of Strahd girlies (gender neutral) since Cerris is my CoS PC :D

based on the results of this poll…₊˚⊹ ᰔ
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
the long awaited (no one was waiting) dorm reveal is here! ₊˚⊹ ᰔ
BASED ON THE POLL, I was really surprised that the majority of you guys voted Pomefiore. Like- I wasn’t really expecting any dorm to win, but Pomefiore is the least expected for me idk why😭
I planned to draw her in all the uniforms but alas, I am not god’s strongest soldier😔✌️ maybe in the future tho!
As to why I drew her in Diasomnia’s uniform, it’s actually the correct (kinda) answer to which dorm Sippy’s most suitable in! I’ve done a quiz twice on which dorm I’d be in twst, and the answer was always Diasomnia. It fits!
design notes ₊˚⊹ ᰔ
Of course, I had to keep the bunny shoes- I just turned them into boots!
Sippy is wearing leggings in the Pomefiore uniform because I ran out of ideas</3 i had fun with the ruffles though I think it’s super cute!
I wanted Pomefiore Sippy to have a red skirt, but decided against it because the inner fabric of the robe(?) is already red :((
I had a lot of fun drawing Diasomnia Sippy! For some reason I changed the neck-tie into a brooch but i can’t remember why🤷‍♀️I guess I wanted her to look different from other members.
Every time I think about Diasomnia I think about the military/guards/knights/soldiers (like Sebek & Silver) so I wanted to make her design realistic those two (ex.the pants, adding combat boots, no braids) . BUT it looked boring. And I don’t want boring. Who gaf about realistic designs anyway /j but yeah her stockings are kinda like Lilia’s!
Yes, I know the salute looks wonky (I used my own hands for reference) </3 but I tried my best
on siphona and floydhok… ₊˚⊹ ᰔ
Pick your poison ahh template but let’s ignore that💀
It’s a fun doodle, nothing more or less. But it’s the most popular (and the only ones) ship regarding to Sippy!
I drew it in one-go so if it looks wonky I apologize
I wanted to draw each ship it’s own interaction but I ran out of ideas :(( I’ll let you guys decide if you want to see it but I’m just gonna leave them here-
totally nothing suspicious with the last photo tho :^ have a good day!

Tag Game: OC Interaction (Round 2!)
Thank you to @willtheweaver for the tag!
Rules: Pick one of your OCs, describe them, then describe how they’d interact with the OC of the person who tagged you.
The Wheel has decided...
Tumblr media
Orian Goldeneye! (from The Legend of Orian Goldeneye)
willtheweaver's OC: Fen is a crow. But he does not act like one, having grown up among the foxes of the forest. All his life, he has had to keep his identity a secret. For obvious reasons, Fen does not let too much of himself be known. What he does show is an understanding nature, and a knack for bringing out the best in others. Storyteller, a good fighter, tracker, and cook, he is skilled in many arts, though you’d never know that from the way he stays humble and modest. He values friendship, and will support those he trust.
My OC: Orian Goldeneye is a dreamshaper from the planet Somnia. This means he can enter a blurred 'dream-world' and alter it to suit his needs. To most people, he a myth, the so-called 'child of balance' to keep the peace between dreamshapers and normal humans. Because of this, he hasn't formed many lasting relationships, his only friend being Diana, a bard who sought him out and stuck around for reasons he doesn't quite understand. He's shy, jumpy and socially awkward, preferring written word and code over in-person interaction. He has a good heart and fights fiercely for what he believes is right.
How I think they would interact: Well talking crows aren't exactly common on Somnia, but considering Orian is basically a child of prophecy he would have the reaction of "This might as well happen." I think they would bond over being secretive and unknown for necessities' sake, Fen because he's a crow and Orian for living what is in his mind an important but thankless role. Orian would also like listening to Fen's stories.
Gently tagging @writingphoenix @faytelumos @stargazer-luna @thethistlegirlwrites @catwings-writes-things @annakayy @gummybugg @thatneptune and open tag!

Baby fever got me thinking abt ghost and kids <3
Ghost finds himself leaning against a stone wall, fiddling with the straps of his gear as he listens to the bustle of the locals. He's in a more rural part of the city, one half full of shops and restaurants and the occasional pub (of which Ghost is waiting for Gaz and Soap outside of), the other half being a neighborhood on the other side of the cobblestone wall behind him.
It was meant to be a more casual mission, gather some intel and do a bit of a stakeout. Gaz and Soap would chat with a man that has information for them, while Ghost waited outside in case there was trouble or they needed to make a quick escape. After a few hours, he quickly realized this wasn't much of a mission at all.
It was peaceful though, a breath of fresh air compared to the adrenaline and bloodshed of his usual work. He was debating on calling it all a bust and dragging his boys back to base when a small sound hit his ears.
He went silent for a moment before he heard it again, a small whisper of a voice beckoning for his attention.
Ghost lets out a sigh. "The hell...?" He looks around, trying to pinpoint the source of the sound.
"Psst. Up here." A small voice calls from... above him?
Ghost looks up to see a face peering down at him from the top of the stone wall, a few meters above him. A small child, a little girl with short, red curls, peeks over the stone to look at him with big brown eyes.
The two of them just stare at each other for a few beats, observing one another warily until the girl speaks up.
"Are you a soldier?" She asks him with a surprising amount of confidence, speaking with a bluntness that only children seemed to possess.
Ghost pushes himself off of the wall to turn and look at her fully, glancing back at the pub to check for his team before looking back at her.
"Affirmative." He says simply, giving a little nod before falling back into silence.
The girl looks puzzled at the unfamiliar word, but uses her context clues to conclude that it means yes. She steps up a little more, crossing her arms over the top of the wall to look down at him better.
"My nana was a soldier... I think." The little girl says, her tone a little uncertain. "My mum said she used to fly planes and we have a picture of her with a bunch of medals."
"I've never seen a soldier in real life, though." She adds.
Ghost can't help the small chuckle that rumbles from his chest at the child's observation. "That so? Your nan sounds pretty interesting." His eyes crease as he smiles up at her from under his balaclava. "I'll let you in on a little secret... being a soldier's pretty boring a lot of the time."
The girl gives Ghost another quizzical look, blinking those big doe eyes at him. "How? Don't you get to fight bad guys and shoot big guns?"
Ghost supposes she isn't wrong. A lot of his work does include diving headfirst into enemy territory, fighting the desert sun and blowing up old "friends". He still lets out a small laugh at the girl's naivety. Ghost wonders if he'd ever been that innocent once, maybe when he was a toddler and the cruel world his father built hadn't yet beat down on him.
"Sometimes." He says finally. "But there's also a lot of sitting—waiting for things to happen. And paperwork." He tacks on.
The girl makes a face. "Like taxes?"
Ghost nods solemnly. "Like taxes."
The girl makes a soft, long "oh" sound before they fall into silence. Ghost looks back at the pub, half hoping to see Soap and Gaz walk out and half hoping they stay inside so he can keep talking to this silly little kid.
"My names Ginny, by the way." The girl pipes up. "What's yours?"
He debates in his head for a moment. "Ghost." He says finally.
Ginny makes another face. "Ghost? Like a dead person? That's a funny name." She says bluntly. "Is it a nickname? Technically Ginny is my nickname."
Ghost listens as she rambles a little, waiting for her to finish so he can answer her questions. "Yep, like a dead person. And yes, it's kind of like a nickname."
"Do they always give you silly names in the mil-militry?" Ginny tries to ask, scrunching up her face a little as she struggles to pronounce "military".
"Sometimes." He says again. "Sometimes you choose your own, sometimes it starts as a nickname that sticks around."
"Did you choose yours?" She asks.
"No." He replies.
Before Ginny can bombard him with any more questions, a voice calls from somewhere far off, making the girl look behind her. She calls back to whoever is summoning her and turns back to Ghost.
"My mum's home, I've got to go." She says, her tone a little flat as she seems disappointed to leave.
"Alright. I'll see you around, Ginny." Ghost bids her farewell. "Be good for your folks."
"I will! Bye-bye, Ghost." The girl gives a determined nod, waving goodbye to him before stepping down and disappeared behind the other side of the wall.
Ghost stands there for God knows how long, in his own little world until Soap walks up behind him with Gaz in tow. The sargeant claps him on the shoulder about how the mission was a bust and apparently the man didn't have all the info they needed. Thankfully, he'd have what they needed at a later date. All Ghost hears is "we'll be coming back here soon".
