STAR WARS MASTERLIST
Tumblr media
It was quiet in the Jedi Temple, the long corridor leading to the council room almost deserted; save for the four occupants huddled together.
Anakin Skywalker and Padme Amidala stood side by side as they attempted to offer small comforts to the pair before them. Time seemed to drag on as they all waited, tucked away next to a large column to retain as much privacy as possible, and nerves were understandably growing stronger.
“Just don’t look at him,” the Jedi Knight offered, holding his hands up as if the answer was so simple. He could not be faulted much, however, because he stuck around even when he had no reason to.
“Don’t look at him? I dream about him every night and you expect me not to look at him?” The woman across from him questioned, incredulous words filling the small space of their circle as her sculpted brows furrowed.
“Ani,” Padme sighed, shooting him a small smile nonetheless.
“I think what the General means,” the last member of the group interjected, his low voice easing his companion’s nerves ever so slightly. “Is that when you give your speech, do not focus on him too much. It will only distract you, and…” he drawled, words sounding like a question.
“...it’s something we can unpack later,” the woman finished with a nod, filling her lungs with air before exhaling.
“Good, very good, my dear.” Aged hands squeezed her shoulders before her attention was drawn elsewhere. Her eyes landed on the form approaching them from afar, and it was familiar to her, but it was not the man she was stressing over.
It was a Kel Dorian, a Jedi the woman had seen more than once in her visions. When he was within earshot, the woman hesitated before she opened her mouth. “Koh-to-yah, Master,” she greeted, attempting a small smile. A small effort, a metaphorical hand outstretched to make a good impression, and the man stopped in his tracks upon hearing her. It was difficult to read him due to the mask covering his face, but he bowed his head in return. A choice, to accept the hand.
“Koh-to-yah, Your Majesty,” his deep voice replied, before he continued the short trek to the council room.
“Okay, it shouldn’t be too long now that Master Plo is here,” Anakin explained. “I promise, it won’t be as bad as you think.”
There was no time to reply to him, for the doors opened and the Jedi from before, Master Plo, stepped out. “You may enter, Your Majesty. I do apologize for the wait.” He held out one arm clad in armor, and the woman detached herself from her support group with one last glance.
“Oh, no apology needed, Master,” she assured, voice soft as she passed him and crossed the threshold into the large room. Before her sat every member of the Jedi Council, some in person, some over holocall, but they all gazed upon her in a daunting semi-circle.
Her eyes zeroed in on him immediately, breath catching in her throat and heart freezing in her chest. Obi-Wan Kenobi, with his copper hair that shone in the sunlight that streamed through the many windows, was somehow even more perfect in person than in her dreams, and she did not know how that was possible.
She hoped that her face didn’t give her away, cursing herself for the falter in her stride when they made eye contact. She dismissed it, told herself to give no thought to the way it looked as if the man struggled just as much upon seeing her. That was impossible, a trick of the mind; for she was only human after all.
The young woman was suddenly aware of every aspect of herself, from the way her dress lay as she stood in the middle of the room to how heavy the crown she often wore felt on that day.
“A pleasure to see you, it is, Viarruh Finnall,” came the croaky voice of Master Yoda, and so that was where she chose to focus her eyes as she forced herself to remain calm.
“The pleasure is all mine, I can’t thank you enough for taking the time to hear me out,” she smiled, as polite as ever in a formal meeting. She did not have much experience with Jedi, but she did have some when it came to being a Queen.
“Of course,” the man sat next to Yoda replied, his hands clasped before him. “What can we help you with, Your Majesty?”
Viarruh took another deep breath, gathering her bearings before she dove into the explanation she could only hope she delivered in a clear and concise way. Her hands reached down and fluffed her dress slightly as her lips parted, nerves shoved to the back of her mind. “How much do you know of my planet’s culture?”
A moment passed in silence, her eyes flitting from one Jedi to the next, before she continued. “Or, more specifically, how much do you know about my family?” Another beat of silence, and she began her little walk around the circle she stood in, movement helping to disperse the nerves buzzing throughout her. “In my family, the crown is passed down from Queen to Queen, traditionally mother to daughter; and that is because we possess something that I understand to be somewhat similar to the Force,” she paused, eyes landing on Obi-Wan subconsciously. He was stoic as ever, hand raised to cover his chin as he listened, and was little comfort in the moment.
“It’s ancient, older than old, and it’s…” she laughed slightly, arms moving about as she spoke. “It’s magic. That’s the only word for it. Some have called us goddesses of the sun, others have called us sun witches; regardless of that, we are capable of things normal humans cannot do. We have a connection to the sun and possess abilities that aid us in protecting our planet, our people. Traditionally,” she sighed, “mother would teach daughter how to use and strengthen these abilities, but I have been without my teacher for quite some time. I haven’t had my master to help me, I’ve been on my own with only the light to guide me in the right direction, and I will not lie to you all. There are things I still don’t know about myself, things I’m still learning. This magic, it only grows stronger as time passes, just as I do, and I have not mastered much yet.”
“Magic?” Someone questioned from behind Viarruh, and she twirled around to face the man. “I’m sorry, Your Majesty, but magic is not real.”
This reaction was not one Viarruh was unfamiliar with. The condescending tone in the Cerean’s voice did nothing but roll off her back like water. Just as she was about to respond, someone beat her to it. A few seats away, a Togrutan woman illuminated in blue as she called from wherever she resided, addressed her colleague. “Master Mundi, perhaps we should keep an open mind, this galaxy is bigger than you might think.”
The man, Mundi, as it turned out, grumbled to himself but settled into his seat nonetheless. A small smile stretched across the queen’s face, and she lit up with an idea. “On the contrary, Master Mundi,” she raised a finger, and spun around to find the beams of light trickling into the circular room. “Magic is real, and I can show you.”
She stepped forward, hand outstretched before it was enveloped in the streams of warmth. Not a moment later, the light began to shimmer around her hand, golden sparkles covering her skin even after she pulled away. She held it up to show everyone, eyes flitting down the line of people before they settled on Master Plo. The grin she shot him was, all things considered, tame compared to her usual mischievous smirk, but the man did not know that. As the woman floated towards him, all he could think of was Ahsoka Tano, and how she must be a copycat for she looked almost the same when a plan formed in her mind.
When she finally stood before him, slender fingers were placed on his forehead and the still glittering light showered down and covered his entire body. Warmth filled him to the brim, as if the sun itself was beating down on a summer’s afternoon, and his eyes shut momentarily. When they opened again, Viarruh was still standing before him, hands at her sides but giving him a hopeful look. “Fascinating,” he mused, and the woman chuckled before bowing her head and returning to her spot. Behind her back, Plo made eye contact with Yoda before he nodded just once.
“That,” Viarruh began again, “was only a simple trick, but I feel a good example of how real my connection with the sun is. Recently, it seems I have…unlocked something. A new ability, something I had seen my mother deal with but not something she ever had the chance to help me with. I have been having visions and dreams,” she explained, face serious as she grew closer to the heart of her speech, the real reason she had called upon the Council.
“And they are only getting stronger and more persistent. Every day, now multiple times each, my mind is taken over and my eyes glow golden and all I can see is this war. I have seen it all,” she stressed, nodding her head a few times at the disbelief on some of the master’s faces. “The assassination attempts on Senator Amidala’s life, the Battle on Geonosis,” she listed, eyes wide. “I’ve seen a handful of you fight in battles, seen you risk your lives against swarms of droids. And I see myself, too; fighting with you, helping you and your men bring this closer to an end one day at a time.”
The room was so silent, one could’ve heard a pin drop, if anyone dared to move a muscle, that is. Every Jedi sat frozen in their seats, eyes all trained on the woman in the center of the room, and for a moment she felt like prey being stalked by predators. But she could not afford to let that get to her, let it throw her off her game because she was in too deep now to back out, to lose.
“I know, I know it sounds absurd, but it’s the truth. I have never been so certain about anything in my entire life, as I am about the fact that I am meant to do something in this war. I can feel it in my bones,” her fists clenched to emphasize her words, eyes boring into each and every person they landed on. “I believe that every person in this galaxy has a purpose, something they are meant to do, either for themselves or someone else; and I know in my heart of hearts, in every crevice of my mind, that I am meant to fight with you. My entire life, I have always had an intuition that rivaled anyone around me; sometimes I just know things and I am seldom wrong. I have never been led to believe I cannot trust my emotions, and that is how I know these visions mean something. I see with more than eyes.”
Her feet stopped moving, planting themselves in the dead center of the circle she had been pacing with toes pointed right at Master Kenobi. “Please,” she breathed. “You have to believe me, have to trust me that this is meant to happen.” His blue eyes bore into her, and she could not find it in herself to look away from them. If anyone in this room believed her, it had to be Obi-Wan. He had to know that she saw things beyond herself, that she thought of him every day and maybe, just maybe, she could tell him that she also dreamt of him every night. During the day, it was battles and clones, lightsabers and blaster fire; but at night, it was him. Moments of sneaking affection, fingertips brushing fingertips, late night conversations where no prying eyes could catch them, kisses, soft and sweet and sacred in their secrecy.
When she finally did break contact, flashes of his laughing face being pushed to the side, she looked to Master Yoda. “I love my job, and I love my people, but it eats away at me sitting in that castle instead of being out there.” Her voice shook under the severity of her emotions, the weight of her words and what they meant too heavy to hold steady in front of the audience. “I am absolutely riddled with guilt every time I see a clone fall, or a Jedi get cut down, and I know I can’t save everyone but I know I could do something.”
It had been a long while of Viarruh being the only one speaking, everyone else sitting in silence as she spilled everything that had been occupying her mind for months, so when she finally concluded her speech there was a pregnant pause, a swallowing quiet that left a pit in her stomach. This was it, she had nothing left to add to change their minds, should they send her away with her insane claims and delirious visions. She knew full well how crazy her request was, to want to fight in a war when her days consisted of royalty and sunshine, but it was about doing what was right, not what was easy.
A croaky voice broke the silence, bringing all eyes to a green Jedi huddled in his chair. “Thank you, I do, for coming forward with your visions. Frightening, it is, to share something unknown.” His head bowed slightly, ears moving with him. “Some time, we will need, to discuss things. From the temple, stray not, please.”
Relief, in its purest form, washed over her when his words registered. She was not being sent away with no thought to what she had to say, she was not laughed at for the emotion she showed.
“Of course,” she answered, bowing her head as well. “Thank you for your time. I shall be with General Skywalker in the meantime.” With that, she turned to make her exit, eyes lingering on a copper haired Jedi just a moment longer than they should have before her feet carried her across the room and over the threshold. Behind her, the doors shut and her shoulders slumped, closing her eyes while the sounds of shuffling feet filled her ears.
“Well?” Padme urged, unsatisfied with the lack of information being given.
“They listened to you, didn’t they?” Anakin fired immediately after, and Viarruh was struck with how similar they could be. Two peas in a pod, they were.
The young woman nodded her head, careful to mind the headpiece she wore once it bumped on the wall behind her. “Yes, they listened. No, Obi-Wan didn’t speak to me,” she answered, already knowing those were the two hot questions burning on everyone's minds. “Master Yoda said they would need time to discuss things, and not to stray from the temple.”
“Well, that’s good,” the eldest member of the group pointed out, aged face displaying a hopeful expression. “They could have said no and sent you home, but they’re considering.”
“Ellman’s right,” Padme interjected, face serious now that the first step of their plan was completed. It was only just a day ago that they wondered if they would even be able to do it, and here they were with one foot out the door already. “Now, should they say yes we need to have all of our points laid out for when we speak to the Chancellor. I have everything in my office in the Senate building.”
“I shall accompany you,” Ellman offered, his role as the queen’s main advisor ever present.
“Perfect. Ani, you stay here with Vi while we’re gone, and comm me when they bring her back in.”
“You got it,” he grinned down at her, and her business face melted for just a moment before she had to look away.
“And don’t get into any trouble, you two,” she warned, finger pointed at her husband before going to her best friend.
“Pads, we’re in a sacred temple, what kind of trouble could we possibly find?”
-: ✧
“Is that all you’ve got, Your Majesty?”
Although Viarruh had seen him in her visions, she had never met the young man who had captured her friend’s heart, and so she was not yet prepared for how arrogantly taunting Anakin Skywalker could be. He was caring, that much she could see; he had done his best to help with her pre-meeting jitters and now, was occupying her during her wait at the Jedi Temple. And yet, his voice carried across the sparring room with a challenging lilt curling around the words, solely meant to egg her on.
“Be careful what you wish for, General,” she warned, eyes bright and sharp and lips pulled into a smirk that only screamed trouble. Her hand shot out and in it formed a staff, appearing in a flash of light right before Anakin’s very eyes, though he still blinked a couple times as his mind attempted to catch up with what had happened. When he finally brought his attention back to the present, he only had moments to duck before the staff made contact with his face. Whatever it was made of, it did not appear to weigh her down as she moved with a frightening grace; and it stood up against a sword meant to cut through anything. She was capable, challenging, even, but she would need more training if she wanted to join them in battle. This was made clear to them both when the match ended with Viarruh’s staff on the ground some feet away from her and the blue blade of a lightsaber pointed right at her throat.
“I suppose you win this round, Skywalker,” she conceded, hands raising in surrender. Just as her opponent went to reply, most likely another boast, he was interrupted by the sound of clapping. Their heads turned in unison, and their eyes widened together just the same. The blade disappeared into the hilt of the saber and the heat fled from her neck, though it returned not a moment later as she registered who she was looking at.
Stood by the entrance was Obi-Wan Kenobi, hands coming down to clasp behind his back. “Impressive,” he mused, and the sound of his voice meeting her ears in person nearly knocked her over, but she remained steady as he started moving towards them. “It seems I taught my padawan well.”
“Yes,” she replied after realizing that Anakin’s silence was a push for her to speak up. “It seems so.” Her eyes cut to the man beside her, and he knew he would be in trouble later.
“And you, Your Majesty, are quite the fighter. I didn’t realize how frightening you could be.” By now, Obi-Wan was in front of the pair, looking at them with crystalline eyes. Viarruh tried not to think about how she looked at the moment; their fight had been long and was easy by no means, and she could feel the sweat gathered on her brow all the more under his gaze. She knew her hair was a mess on her head, having been knotted when she hastily removed the crown, and she didn’t dare look down to see if her dress was crumpled and crooked. She only prayed to Maker that it wasn’t as she stared right back at him.
“It comes in handy,” she quipped, heart skipping a beat in her chest when his smile widened.
The moment, if it could even be called that, was shattered when Anakin finally decided to make his presence known once again. “So, Master, what can we do for you?”
Obi-Wan’s eyes didn’t seem to want to leave the woman before him, but they eventually flicked to his former student, and he had to clear his throat before speaking. “Ah, yes, the Council wishes to speak with you again, Your Majesty.”
“Of course, just let me grab my things and we’ll be on our way,” she smiled, before turning to her new friend. “General, would you please comm Senator Amidala and Advisor Ellman while I speak with the Council?” She had already started to walk away from the men when the answer came, and she did not have to look at him to know he was grinning at her.
“Yes, yes, I can do that, Your Majesty.” She turned to squint at him, hands running through her long strands when, to her horror, he started to walk towards the exit. “I will go do that right now.”
Her fingers forced themselves to resume their movements as she turned away again. She found herself alone with the man she believed to be her soulmate, as if her nerves needed anything else to buzz over. When she did spin around to face him, he was already looking at her. Her cheeks burned even more, but in spite of it she held her hands out, gesturing vaguely to the crown now on her head as she made her way back to him. “Look good?”
Once again, words seemed to stick in Obi-Wan’s throat when her eyes were on him. He stuttered slightly in his reply, and cursed himself silently. “Yes. Looks good,” he nodded, suddenly shy in front of the queen. “To the council room?”
Viarruh was intuitive, and on top of this particularly beneficial trait, she also read people for what they were. Not much got past the Queen of Orret, and so she dared to let herself believe that what she saw was, indeed, true.
Obi-Wan was nervous.
“Lead the way, Master,” she smiled, swallowing her chuckle when she noticed the shade of pink dusting over his cheeks as he led her out of the room.
The corridor was long and dimly lit, the evening sun casting a golden hue across the walls and floors, and though her shoes were the only noise for the beginning of their walk, Viarruh had started to settle into herself; muscles relaxing and mind easing as she felt the warmth of the man next to her. They were not touching, not even close enough to brush arms, but she still felt him. For a moment she wondered if this would only make her miss him more when he was no longer around her, but a small voice in the back of her mind told her she was a fool to think it wouldn’t.
“Your Majesty?”
Her heart still skipped a beat when his accent rang in her ears, but she was no longer fighting for breath and composure. He was comfortable to be around, she had decided.
“Oh, please, Viarruh is fine,” she assured, smiling at him in an attempt to prove to him that it really was fine.
He hesitated for a moment, but not a second later did he nod his head before flicking his eyes over to meet hers. “Viarruh,” he corrected, and oh, Maker, her name had never sounded so pretty. “May I ask you something about your visions? I know you are to speak with the Council about them, but I was wondering if you could tell me when they started?”
“Uhm,” she stalled, remembering back to the first vision she ever had.
She had just settled down in the plush and intricate chair sat at her desk, fully intending to complete some work in the late hours of the night, for something had been nagging her though she could not figure it out. It had kept her awake when she laid down to sleep, and so she had eventually wandered her way around the castle and ended up in her office. But as she reached for the holopad she felt…funny. A feeling washed over her, starting at the crown of her head and showering down to the tips of her toes, and it had happened so fast she hadn’t had any time to react before breath stuck to the back of her throat and eyes glowed bright like the sun that hung in the sky. Her lips were parted but only quiet choking sounds escaped her as her head fell backwards, face pointed to the high ceiling but she was not really looking.
No, her mind was taken over and it was like she wasn’t even in her office anymore. Instead, she was on Coruscant, stood in the darkened bedroom of her best friend. She could not move, she could not speak, only watch as insect-like creatures crawled towards Padme’s sleeping figure. Could only watch as two Jedi burst into the room, blue blade illuminating the darkness as one of them cut the creatures in half.
It ended there, whatever it was that had happened to her. Her eyes slammed shut before snapping open, air rushing into her lungs as she gasped, almost falling forward onto the desk in front of her. With a heaving chest she did her best to push herself up from her seat on shaky arms before she dashed out of the room. Bare feet carried her to the meeting room where she punched in Padme’s comm code, and she anxiously waited for her face to appear in blue, but cried out in frustration when there was no answer.
Worry prickled at every nerve and dread had settled in her feet, making it hard to even move her legs as she rushed to the only room she could think of; Ellman’s. She couldn’t move fast enough, tripping on the ends of her sleep gown numerous times, and she practically flew into his door. She was gasping, mind racing over every possibility as her fists bangs on the door, and she didn’t know how she was still standing by the time the man answered the door.
His eyes were squinted as he tried to make out who was in front of him, and in her frenzy Viarruh almost yelled at him, but there was no time to raise her voice as words spilled out with no end. They were frantic and jumbled together, and it was the alarm bells it set off in his mind that fully awoke him. “Viarruh? Viarruh! What is it?”
His questions fell on deaf ears, and strong hands tightly grasped her shoulders. “Viarruh, calm down! I need you to breathe!” He shook her a few good times, successfully putting an end to the stream of panic falling from the woman’s lips. Her eyes were wide as they finally focused on him, and she was slightly trembling in his hold.
It was a rarity for the queen to get so startled, handling her nerves well on any other day despite the horrors of her childhood, but that was not the case on this particular night. “Vi, what happened?”
“It’s Padme, I—I saw something and when I commed her, she didn’t answer, and—”
“Slow down,” he urged. “What do you mean you saw something?”
“I was in my office, and s—something happened, it was,” she stuttered, shaking her head as she struggled for words. “Do you remember when I told you I had a weird feeling earlier today? I couldn’t sleep, so I went to my office.”
“Was someone in there with you?” He interjected, but she shook her head again.
“No, no, it was just me; but I did see something. It was like…like a vision. I got this funny feeling and then I couldn’t breathe, it was like I was choking on nothing and then I couldn’t see.” Her hands fisted the front of his shirt, words speeding up again the more she spoke.
“You couldn’t see, but you saw something?”
“I’m being serious! It was like—like a vision! I was staring at the ceiling and then something happened to me and it was all gone, all I could see was the vision and I saw Padme!”
Viarruh did not catch on in the moment, perceptiveness dialed down in her vulnerable state, but Ellman seemed to be paying more attention now that she had revealed what she had experienced. His brows were furrowed as her words bounced around in his head, thoughts zooming this way and that as he thought back to when he was working for her mother, and all the things he’d witnessed her do and he remembered visions being one of them.
“What happened to her in this vision?” His voice was low and as serious as could be, no longer high pitched in worry, and in the darkness of the corridor his face was almost grave.
“There was something in her room, and it was crawling towards her while she slept and then two Jedi burst into the room! I tried to comm her when it ended but she didn’t answer, and that only  makes me think something bad really did happen to her! Ellman, what if she’s in trouble? What’s happening?”
“Listen, listen,” he soothed, taking a half step closer. “This is because of your powers. Your mother had visions, but I can only imagine how frightening it was when so unexpected.”
“My mom had them?” she mumbled, wide eyes staring up at the closest thing to a parent she had.
“She did. I don’t know much, unfortunately, but I do know that this was going to happen eventually; you’re far too perceptive and just plain lucky to have it skip you. What it is, well, to my understanding it could be a number of things. The past, things that have already happened revealed to you; the present, seeing things as they happen in real life; and the future, though that is never a certainty. Things change, but you can see these things. Now, what you saw with Padme could be any of those things, I’m afraid I have no answers to give with that, but we will investigate more in the morning. More people are likely to answer our calls, and we will be of sound minds,” he assured, one hand coming up to smooth over the back of her head. “Please, My Lady, let me escort you back to bed.”
“With the assassination attempt on Padme’s life. The one you and Anakin were around for,” she answered, keeping it short and sweet.
“You saw it?”
“I did,” she nodded, fingers playing with the fabric of her dress. “Why do you ask?”
“No reason,” he dismissed, looking away from her and she had a creeping suspicion that he was not telling the truth. Nonetheless, she nodded her head before allowing herself a moment to take him in. He wore the plastoid armor similar to that of the clone troopers over the top half of his robes, and his lightsaber hung off his waist, shining and magnificent. He was more handsome than any man she’d ever seen in all her life of travels and meetings, negotiations and balls. Stuffy princes didn’t hold a candle to him.
“I see,” she mused, voice verging on playfulness. It was nice speaking to him, actual conversations instead of snippets of exchanges captured in dreams. “Well, let me ask you, do you ever see things?” She glanced over him, brows raised and lips curling upwards.
Her question settled into Obi-Wan’s mind and debated how truthful he wanted to be with his response. All his time and energy went into the Jedi Order, and fighting this war. He was strong with the force and worked to keep his balance, and he was a clever and impressive General in the GAR; but from time to time he saw her. Not often, not as often as she had visions, it seemed, but when he got the rare moment of rest, he could hear her voice and almost make out her face. When in battle, surrounded by blaster fire and chaos, he sometimes felt her presence next to him, swearing he saw her and a warm glow in his peripheral, yet when he risked a glance she was nowhere to be seen. It had started when he overheard her speaking to Padme the morning after the attempt on the senator’s life, voice slightly distorted over the holocall but still ringing pleasantly in his ears.
But was this something he wanted to admit to? Something he wanted to reveal in the corridor of a Temple that frowned upon attachments? But to lie to her, the thought of it made his stomach churn for some reason.
“Yes, I suppose I do,” he settled, voice almost far away. Viarruh tilted her head slightly, contemplating the thoughts behind his eyes before he cleared his throat, seeming to come back to her. “The Force works in mysterious ways,” he nodded, grinning when the woman chuckled.
“That, I can understand. Perhaps you see with more than eyes, just as I do, Master Kenobi.”
“Perhaps,” he agreed, looking straight ahead as he prepared himself for his next comment. “Though I don’t think there is anyone quite like you out there.”
Obi-Wan, while pleasant to be around, was becoming almost flirty. His voice was smooth and his accent curled his words nicely, as sweet as honey. Her heart fluttered in her chest and she could not stop it, could not prevent a full on, toothy smile growing on her face. The doors to the council room were in sight, just up ahead, and she looked as unserious as she could possibly be.
“I think you’re right,” she whispered, turning to face him when they were only a few feet before the doors. “But the same could be said about you.” She cleared her throat, wiggling her arms a little to reset, now looking at her companion with determination. “Wish me luck, I’ve got to speak with the Jedi Council.”
“Now that you mention it, I have a meeting to attend. Good luck, Your Majesty.”
With that, the doors slid open and Viarruh made her way inside the large room once again, the presence of Obi-Wan Kenobi following her. When she reached the middle of the circle, he passed her and settled into his seat, and the added distance between them lessened the ease she had previously felt. Nerves began to settle into her again, as even Obi-Wan’s demeanor changed to that of a more stoic man, a Jedi wise beyond his years sitting amongst the council.
“Your Majesty, we’d like to thank you again for coming to us to speak,” the bald man sat next to Master Yoda began, voice just as serious as it was before. It was difficult to read him as he spoke and she found little comfort in the way his face remained stoney. “The information you presented to us is much appreciated, and has caused lots of discussion within the Council. If you don’t mind, we’d like to ask you some questions.”
“Of course, I don’t mind at all, Master…?”
“Windu, Your Majesty,” he answered, bowing his head.
“Master Windu,” she repeated, nodding her head at him with a small smile. “Ask away.”
“What is your goal?”
Vague. A broad question asked simply and to the point, and it caused the woman to tilt her head ever so slightly. “My goal?”
“Yes. What is your goal in all of this?”
“Well,” she sighed. “Short term, I suppose it’s to convince you all to help me do what I can to join the war,” she gestured vaguely with one arm, holding the other out as she spoke again. “Long term, to do what’s right. To make a difference. To help people. Is that not everyone in this room's goal?”
“We are bound by oath,” came the voice of Master Mundi, interjecting and almost cold. “We are warriors of peace and fight to bring balance back to the galaxy, per our oath to the Jedi Order.”
“I am also bound by oath,” she countered lowly. “I was born into a position of power. I’ve held it all my life, and when I was just fourteen standard years old I obtained the highest rank you could possibly get on most planets. The responsibility may not be the same as yours, but it is a great one nonetheless; to keep people safe, to represent them, to protect them, that is what I do. And the oath I made was to always do what is right, what I need to do regardless of whether it is easy or not, whether it makes sense or not. And the Clone Wars are hurting people, and the Republic’s enemy stands for things that I would rather die fighting than let become the status quo in our galaxy. We may live different lives, Master Mundi, but our goals are very much the same.”
“You are very dedicated to this,” a male Nautolan observed, and all eyes turned to him. “It’s easy to see that this means something to you. I believe you when you say that our goals are the same, but this is still a very unusual situation, Your Majesty,” he explained, frowning slightly towards the end of his sentence.
“It is, I know that,” Viarruh assured sincerely. “But as unusual as it is for you, it is the same for me.”
“Your visions, hear more about them, may we?” Yoda questioned, pointing a clawed finger in her direction.
“What would you like to know?”
“Are they of the future?” Someone else questioned.
“Not entirely,” she answered, shaking her head. “My understanding is that they are things revealed to me because they need to be. It could be something from the past, I can see things as they are happening, and sometimes I do see the future, but you all know as well as I do that the future is never set in stone. Prophecies and destinies aside, seeing a vision of something that should happen doesn’t always mean it will happen.”
“What is the extent of your powers? What can you do, exactly?”
“I can do lots of things,” she chuckled, shrugging her shoulders. “But I already told you that they’re still developing, I still don’t know what the extent is.”
“I saw a demonstration of Her Majesty’s abilities in the sparring room, and it was most impressive,” a familiar voice entered the conversation, backing her up as she stood under the eyes of the disbelieving. Her chest warmed as she caught his eye before they flicked to the next person to speak.
“Sparring room?”
“Yes,” Obi-Wan answered smugly. “Her Majesty sparred with Anakin, and held her own for quite some time. I could only imagine what she would be like with just some formal training.”
Murmurs filled the room, soft and blended together, but she gathered that Anakin being her opponent was the hot topic. “Impressive, that is,” Yoda confirmed. “Needed, a demonstration is, perhaps.”
“I can give you a demonstration,” she promised, hand already coming up to point at the copper haired Jedi. Her palm faced upward, slender fingers curling slightly as she made miniscule movements. At first, no one was aware of what was happening, Obi-Wan being most confused of all, but then he felt a little tug at his belt. He looked down to see his lightsaber moving here and there, before it eventually lifted off his thigh and unhooked from his waist.
His mouth opened in shock, and he didn’t need to look to know he was not the only one, as they all watched his lightsaber float through the air, right into the hand of Viarruh Finnall. She ignited the weapon, blue blade shooting out from the hilt and bathing her in the cool hue. And because she lived for the dramatics, she twirled it around, a move that was like muscle memory to her, the whirring sounds of the energy blade filling the room. When she finished, she retracted the blade and her hand fell to her side.
“While I did lose my fight with Anakin Skywalker, I have won many more. I am not helpless, and I do not give up easily.” Her eyes bore into the council members one by one. “And I am not afraid, I was not built to be and cannot afford to be.” She continued to spin around, intending to make an impression on every person she looked at, and she knew it was successful from the look in each of their eyes. “Sometimes it is not enough to just be against darkness. If you have the ability to, should you not use the light?”
The severity of her tone and words had lodged itself in the chest’s of the Jedi Council, and before them stood not the naive queen they thought was coming to their planet. No, stood before them was Viarruh Finnall, Goddess of the Sun, the Sun Witch, Queen of Orret, in all her wisdom and confidence. She was passionate and unyielding, she was caring, and she was strong. This young woman, whatever she had gone through in her lifetime had made her tough enough to bear the weight of leadership, to dive head first into a war that she was never obligated to join, to look an evil in the face and stand steady against it.
“If we were to say yes,” Master Windu broke the silence, sharing glances with those around him. “What would be your next course of action?”
It took her a moment to calm herself, dispelling some of the intensity in her words as she turned to look at the man. “Well, should you say yes, I would need to speak with Chancellor Palpatine next. I chose to meet with you first because, although the Chancellor makes the final decisions, having you all to back me up would speak louder to him than I ever could on my own. You, of course, are not obligated to, but it would be most appreciated if I had someone to accompany me to speak with him; and depending on his answer, I will head home,” she explained with a note of finality, clasping her hands in front of her.
“Home?” Master Mundi interjected, leaning forward in his seat.
“Yes,” she answered simply, looking right at him.
“And what do you plan to do about your status as Queen while you fight in this war? You cannot do both.”
“I would give it up.” She stated, in such a way that it seemed the answer was obvious. It did not weigh heavy on her tongue as she spoke matter of factly, though it did put pressure on her chest, bones feeling as if they could cave in. “My birthday is in a matter of weeks, and though it may seem frivolous, celebrations are quite the talk back home,” she explained, flicking some hair over her shoulder as she resumed her movements around the center of the room. “I will use it as my opportunity to announce my retirement from the throne, and present who I have chosen to replace me; her coronation will come only days after. Then,” she shrugged. “I’ll go wherever you tell me to, and I’ll do whatever I can.”
It seemed, for a frightening moment, that she was unable to get through to them. They all stared at her, mouths closed with no intention of opening to speak to her, and her shoulders grew heavy, fighting to slouch forward as the feeling of defeat tickled at her bones. She held her breath, eyes flickering between the men in front of her. Obi-Wan held contact before he looked away, seemingly speaking to Master Yoda without using words, and she clutched the hilt of his lightsaber a little tighter, the metal warm from her hold on it throughout her speech.
As she glanced towards Master Plo, a frown almost dipping the corner of her lips downwards, she missed the nod Obi-Wan sent his elder, and the one following from Mace Windu. Her attention snapped back as a throat was cleared, and eyes had returned to her, though the tone had shifted ever so slightly. Almost indiscernible, it was, but she saw it and dared to let hope bloom in her chest.
“Speak to the Chancellor, we will. Tomorrow,” Master Yoda decided, sliding down from his chair, beginning to make his way towards the woman. “To your home, I will go with you. Train you, I will.” When he stood before her, large eyes gazing into hers, he placed one hand over the other on top of his staff as it stood in front of him and he was the picture of wisdom.
For a moment, she did not have any words. She had said so much since she’d arrived at the Jedi Temple, but now that she finally had an answer from them, she had nothing to offer the Council. She was frozen in her stare with the green Jedi, lips parting ever so slightly as his words rang in her ears. “Thank you,” she breathed, relief making her feel so light it almost lifted her off the ground below. She blinked a few times, gathering her bearings as reality began to set in that she had done it.
“Easy, it will not be, Viarruh Finnall,” he promised, shaking his head.
“The things worth doing usually aren’t, Master,” she replied, when the hole burning into her became too much and she looked up, meeting blue eyes already looking. Obi-Wan smiled at her, blowing his head in a silent congratulations, and she smiled. It was similar to the one he had managed to get from her in the corridor, and her success coupled with just knowing him now made it impossible to stop it.
Master Windu was the next to rise, the others following suit, and the tall man joined them in the middle of the room. “When we speak to the Chancellor tomorrow, you will have our full support. All we ask in return, is that you follow through with your word,” he explained, holding his hand out for her to shake.
When her hand slipped into his, enveloped by the gloved and armored one, a familiar feeling washed over her quicker than ever, and she gasped loudly, drawing the attention of everyone else in the room. Obi-Wan pushed his way to the front, almost overwhelmed from how loud everyone’s voices were once they blended together in panic, before standing beside the woman but she was not seeing him. Her muscles tensed and her back straightened as she went rigid, fingers clamping around Windu’s hand tightly, and he attempted to pull away in alarm; it was a struggle, but he was eventually able to pry himself out of her hold as her eyes glowed brightly. Her brows were furrowed and breath was stuck in her throat and she looked almost pained, and it made Obi-wan’s heart clench in his chest. It alarmed him, how seeing her like this affected him, but there was no time to think about it as his hands grasped her shoulders.
“Your Majesty! Your Majesty!” he called, shaking her slightly but she remained frozen, golden eyes staring past him. Even when he grasped her face in his large hands because the choking sounds escaping her as air tried to fight its way to her lungs were scaring him more, she didn’t see him. His thumbs pressed into her cheeks as he turned her head to face him, almost yelling at her. “Viarruh! Breathe!”
When this very thing happened at home, no one could get through to the woman after her eyes lit up and she stopped breathing; screams and yells falling on deaf ears as her mind was taken over, but as she watched herself creep through the forest with a squad of clones and Mace Windu at her side, a voice echoed from somewhere. Who it belonged to, she could not tell, but it was comforting in its familiarity and lifted the pressure from her chest; everything became clearer as if a layer of dirt and grime had been wiped away, the plastoid armor glinting in the sunlight of the trooper who passed her. Outside of the vision, the blockage was removed from her throat, ripped away as oxygen rushed into her, and light burst out of her.
It was as if they were no longer in the council room, the group of people huddled together now standing in the same forest of her vision. She did not know they were there, could not feel them still, but they saw everything she did as it projected from her. They watched as everyone trekked on, the only sounds being the crunching and rustling of foliage and the sounds of wildlife in the distance; as Viarruh faltered in her step, causing the soldier behind her to bump into her, pushing her forward a few steps. Though, it looked as if she had paid it no mind, instead holding her hands out as if to steady herself, eyes flickering around before landing on the Jedi ahead of her.
And they could only stare as Windu continued on, having not noticed the absence to his left, and Viarruh lurched forward to reach him quicker. “Mace, no!” she yelled, grasping his shoulder to throw his body backwards, pushing him and their squad away from the pressure bomb cleverly disguised; but that also meant she was the closest to the explosion. The onlookers flinched as they were surrounded by heat and light and the deafening blow, watching in horror as the queen flew through the air, rolling backwards when she collided with the ground. She didn’t move much after her body settled, but Obi-Wan could see the way her eyes were blown wide, not seeming to focus on anything as she blinked. She didn’t respond to the calls of her name, not even noticing the people slowly searching for her, the ringing in her ears blocking out everything around her.
It was Windu who found her, shaking his head and rubbing his eyes as he walked up to her. “Viarruh,” he called, and it wasn’t until he saw movement to the side, and turned to see her leg poking through the tall grass. When he stood over her, he cringed slightly at the injuries he could see, and so did everyone else. Blood covered her face, dripping down from her hairline and smearing across her cheeks; parts of her shirt and vest were singed, still smoking, telling them she had burns as well. “Viarruh,” he tried again, and she only looked at him with wide eyes, giving him no indication that she heard him. He reached down with both hands, placing a couple fingers on her cheeks to move her head side to side, inspecting for anything else, and Obi-Wan was relieved to see nothing.
“Come on,” Windu grunted, picking her up and placing her on her feet, slinging an arm over his shoulder as he supported most of her weight. Then, the scene shifted, the same light as before filling the room before it all zapped into Viarruh, hitting her with a force strong enough to push her back a few steps when it collided with her chest, causing her to gasp loudly. Hands reached out to keep her upright, holding her steady on her feet as her eyes snapped shut before reopening, back to normal.
She was panting, gulping air down like she had been drowning, and the first thing she heard when she returned to the present was the worried voice of Obi-Wan Kenobi, his hands on her arms, having been the one to reach out to catch her. “Viarruh, are you alright?”
“That one was different,” she responded, shaking her head as her mind ran a mile a minute.
“Was that a vision?” Windu questioned, leaning closer to the woman.
“Yes,” she nodded, eyes finally raising to meet those of the man that still cradled her. “But it was different, this one wasn’t the same as others.”
“Viarruh,” Obi-Wan called softly. “What do you mean by ‘it was different’?”
“Stronger, it was stronger,” she answered as the group of Jedi began to back away from her, giving her space now that she was back with them. “And I…could hear someone.” It confused her, left her wondering, because she had never heard anyone in her visions like that, never felt anything but alone as she lost control of herself.
“We didn’t hear anyone,” Mundi noted, looking around at the others. “Other than yourself and Master Windu.”
“Wait,” she jerked around, confusion growing more and more by the second. “Did you…did you all see that too?” She was met with nods from everyone, and she could only stand there in a stunned silence as her thoughts ran a mile a minute.
“Viarruh?” Obi-Wan questioned softly after there was still no response from the queen, and turned back around to face him.
“It…projected?” Her face was still twisted in disbelief, the events taking place sprouting question after question in her mind. The man nodded his head to answer her, raising his brows at her tone.
“Is that also newly unlocked?”
She had again looked away from him, eyes staring down at the floor as the dots began to connect, as the answers became clearer. “Yes,” she answered in a dazed voice. “It is.” It was the only reaction she could give him as realization dawned on her, showering over her as her gaze shifted upwards; it focused on the busy planet on the other side of the large windows, the sky turning a pleasant rosy orange as the day settled and plans were now in motion.

With your face bathed in a soft bluish glow, you scroll through the pages of the holobook that sits on your lap, only reading the titles of each chapter to see if there is anything relevant to you. Sitting with your legs crossed, you lean against the back of the armchair, which is located right by a large round window and has recently become your new favorite spot. It is only here that you can finally rest, letting your mind wander, and enjoy the rain gently pattering against the window, hiding the dark and busy city beyond.
Coruscant never sleeps and, apparently, neither do you. Especially not these last few days, considering you only have one day left until you embark on one of your longest and probably most dangerous missions so far. For this reason, you try to acquire as much knowledge about the planet and its habitat and inhabitants as you can in the short time since the Jedi Council gave you the instructions.
It is always hard to keep your cool in times of war, but it is moments like these when you can just sit here in the Jedi archives, alone, thinking about everything and nothing. For some inexplicable reason, it gives you a sense of security. The mission will probably cost you the last of your strength, but the end of the Clone Wars is in sight, and if this single mission can bring you a little closer to the end, then you will do just that. Giving your all and fighting for your values, for what is right.
Your eyes get caught on a chapter you find useful, and it is only when you change your sitting position that you suddenly feel a change in your surroundings. You do not even have to look up to know he is here.
"Still out and about at this hour?", you tease him, carefully putting the book aside before looking at him because let's face the truth, you can't take your eyes off of him for more than a few seconds. As soon as you do look at him, however, your heart aches in your chest.
The man in front of you has seen a lot of terrible things in this war and it only makes you want to end it even quicker. His hair is disheveled, probably from tossing and turning back and forth for hours to get his well-deserved sleep, which was obviously not granted to him in the end. Obi-Wan only returned to Coruscant today after being sent out to Kamino for several days, and has to leave again tomorrow, with you. Which is why you made it your task to spare him as many difficulties as possible, dealing with the necessary information intensely.
"I knew I would find you here", is his answer as he sits down on the armchair next to you, a small smile on his lips as he can't help himself but to softly run his hand over your head. "And before you tell me to leave and get some sleep: I can't."
"I know", you respond sadly, only knowing too well how it feels to run on low fuel and still not being able to fall asleep, letting the misery of this galaxy behind. Grabbing his hand, you push your palm against his before closing your fingers around it, squeezing lightly.
Reaching over you with his other hand, Obi-Wan grabs another holobook that you have carefully searched out a few hours ago, leaning back in his seat. But not before placing a soft kiss on your hair, whispering 'I'm proud of you' along the way.
Your heart painfully beats for this man. You know that all of this, everything you have build up, can be over tomorrow, and yet he does not disturb the peace you have built around here. He fades in perfectly and, with your hands intertwined, reads on, the soft glow illuminating his beautiful face.
You can't wait for all of this to be over. Because once it is, you will finally make him yours. And he will finally make you his.

───SKIN & BONES. PART ii
Tumblr media
Summary: whilst on an assignment with Obi-Wan, you find yourself unable to sleep after dreaming about him, and he sits with you to talk about it. (PART i)
CW: mentions of insomnia and ~sexual~ dreams, though not graphic. Both POVs.
Word Count: 4,278
You’ve made Obi-Wan an utter fool. He could spend his whole life not noticing that there’s a rip in his robes, blissfully unaware until someone mentions it, and now suddenly he can’t unsee it. That’s exactly what you’ve done to him. One mention of your feelings, of the dreams you’ve been having, and suddenly he’s looking at his heart with a tear in it rather than the healthy, shielded thing it once was.
A fool—that’s the word he assigns to himself with knotted breath, hands crumpled up in the bedsheets as his thoughts finally settle, finally let go of him with a touch that has your name on them. Another dream of you found its way to his mind while he slept, and it’s enough to have him throwing the covers over the other side of the bed so he can slip out and focus on something else instead—not the imagination of your voice, whispered and close, or your lips that ghosted heavenly, precariously above his own.
You find him awake, as you do most mornings now, sitting in one of the training rooms crossed-legged and silent. He hardly says much recently, which only worries you. He leans more methodically into his meditation when he’s had a restless night.
“You shouldn’t overwork yourself,” you speak, and he seems almost blissful in the sound of your voice until your hand touches his shoulder and he rattles, eyes opening widely but settling above dark circles almost sluggishly. “I’m sorry, Obi-Wan. I hadn’t meant to startle you.”
“I’m alright,” he sighs, fingers pinching the bridge of his nose. “Just tired.”
“Couldn’t sleep again?”
If only it were that simple. Obi-Wan thinks himself a borderline insomniac, but what he would give for it to simply be that and that alone. Instead, he’s tortured by dreams.
“Have you tried chamomile?” you ask, and he looks at you like you’ve got your robes on back to front. “As in tea.”
“I understand,” he shakes his head. “I don’t think that would do me much good.”
“What a critic you are,” you refrain a laugh at seeing his nose crinkle in offense, something out of his control when he’s too tired to stop himself from showing it. “You recommended the same thing to me when I had trouble sleeping, don’t you remember?”
Obi-Wan straightens his back a fraction. “I remember you telling me that it was kriffing banther fodder.”
“Yes, well,” the chuckle comes out this time, and you take two steps around Obi-Wan to stand in front of him. “Some remedies are better accepted than others.”
“And what else would you propose?” he looks up at you, showing more life in him than there was when you stepped into the room at first. He’s slowly waking up, you can tell by the way he responds to your quips, but still, he manages to look so lovely even while sitting on the floor.
You lean forward, grabbing onto his arms. “Well, for starters, getting some fresh air would be good. Then maybe we can trying something less soporific, like coffee.”
He smiles, giving in to your friendly aid. Though your touch alone has got his heart rate spiking like it had been this morning, he’s sure he needs the help more than pretending to meditate like he was. You all but yank him up on his feet, patting his back as if to say, ‘See? Easy as pie!’ Whoever came up with that saying clearly has never had a single bad day with pastry.
When you have him seated off the side of a planetary coffeeshop, hands wrapped around a mug full of dark brown caffeine like he was huddling for warmth, he finds himself much more relaxed than his attempts had been this morning. A thankful guarantee was that you could always help him wind down, though it had been the mere thought of you that had tensed him in the first place.
“This isn’t very good,” you mutter, gazed fixed to stare down into your heated drink after you had watched the way Obi-Wan had almost fallen nose-first into his own with tired eyes. “I worry about you.”
“Me?” he all but huffs, taking a slow sip of his coffee. “You have nothing to worry about with me.”
Liar. “You hardly get any sleep recently. You’re halfway dead when I find you in the mornings. Obi-Wan, I have every right to worry about you.”
“I’m getting old,” his voice groans.
You shake your head, sighing into your drink when you take a sip. A master of excuses sits across from you, one whom you had hoped would be more open with you by now—at least after everything, and after you had practically worn your heart on your sleeve when you had your own troubles sleeping. Half of you thinks he’s only faking tiredness just to avoid facing what happened.
“You seem better,” Obi-Wan says, the mug still close to his lips. When you give him a look, he stiffens. “Sleeping, I mean. You seem better rested.”
“Oh,” you nod, seeing that precarious line ahead of you and sitting on the fence about whether or not to cross it. “Yes, I’m doing fine now.”
“Are you still having... dreams?”
The caution in his voice only keeps you seated on that fence, watching the way his eyes stay focused on the mug in his hands rather than look up at you. In his own truth, he couldn’t muster the courage to watch your face—to see whether you give him a smile or furrow your brows, both of which would not be relieving at all to his question—as he’s not even sure he wants an answer, or if he’s ready to hear it.
You both sit in a momentary silence; him with a foot that’s facing the doorway in preparation to run like hell, and you with your mind spinning decisions on whether to tip that bit to the side and cross the fence or keep still at your place for the sake of pleasantries. What really was worse at this moment, the truth or the blanket you drape across it in hiding?
“I have them every now and then,” you admit, partly to yourself. Ever since he left you on the couch that night, you’ve been ignoring the sting of it. “Though they aren’t as bad anymore.”
Obi-Wan finally meets your eyes, nervous but calculating. “Were they that terrible?”
“No,” your finger drags down the handle of the mug. “But they felt so real. Now they’re too faded for me to pay much attention to.”
“Ah,” comes Obi-Wan’s reply, and that’s it.
You feel yourself sit back against the seat without really thinking about it, already accepting that the line, though drawn, is not something you can cross—not yet, or perhaps not ever. Obi-Wan will always have a wall built around him, and you fear that it, much like his spirit, is impenetrable. Despite your hopes that he may one day open up to you, you’re faced too harshly with the reality of him.
When it’s a quarter past and both of your drinks are done, the two of you head out your separate ways for your own respective Jedi tasks. You don’t focus much on the conversation at the coffeehouse while you go about your duties, but Obi-Wan practically drowns in the reoccurring thought—something much more distasteful than a mantra or any sort of idyllic maxim.
Did you really give up those dreams so quickly? Maybe he hadn’t given you the chance to exactly explain that night, but he knew where it was going. Hopes. That’s what you had called them. Now you say they’re nothing more than faded fantasies? Meanwhile, he’s dealing with his own dreams like he’s going through enemy territory—his own personal brand of forbidden warfare.
It strikes him again that night, somewhere near the morning but still far too dark to be anything acceptable, of another dream. This one feels so real that Obi-Wan wakes up panting, almost pained by the emptiness in his stomach when realizing that it was only his imagination. The weight of the bitter truth knocks against his chest, like a fist knocking on wood. Pounding hard, pushing him back against the mattress where he lays flat until the sound of it grows louder and he presses both palms against his eyes, applying pressure in a way one does with a headache.
Until, he soon realizes, that the noise isn’t from his mind, or the tormented tightness in his chest. No, the knocking is real and it’s coming from his door. He sucks in a breath, eyeing the distance from the bed to the door, and waits a moment—keeps his senses level in case the knocking isn’t actually for him, or that whoever is causing the noise will eventually give up and leave him alone to rot in his bedsheets. Whoever or whatever it is, though, is two things absolutely clear to him: very real and very persistent.
He shakes the covers off of him, quickly snatching his cloak from the chair in the corner to drape over his shoulders as he thumps his way over to the door, well-neigh groggily. He presses a hand flat against it, not caring that he practically pounds back in response, before letting out an exhausted and simmering irritated, “What?”
The knocking halts, then it’s silent for a moment. Maybe he scared them off, whoever they are. Honestly, he’s not sure what especially annoys him about that fact—that they ran off the moment he spoke up, or that they knocked in the first place. An additional dilemma arises when the person on the other side of the door finally speaks, and dear Maker above, out of all people, of all nights, did it really have to be you?
“Obi-Wan?” you mention his name again, waiting within an anxious bubble as you stare at the door.
He sighs, something deep and regretful, and you hear it before the chase of his voice when he speaks back. “Is everything alright?”
“Can I come in?”
Another beat of silence, then the door slides open and there Obi-Wan stands. Or, really, slouches. His hair is a mess, his face bordering a veneer of red, and looking like he’s been keelhauled across the entire galaxy with the very state of him looking disheveled, and that’s putting it lightly.
“Maker, Obi-Wan,” you breathe out. “I think I should be asking if you’re alright.”
He drags a hand down his face, hissing out a frustrated sigh before the same hand now rakes through the hair on his head, making it even worse than it had been before. “Did you come here for something in particular?”
The sharpness of his words makes you almost shrivel inward, but you remind yourself that he’s been through far more restless periods of sleep than you and if Almighty comedic timing were a thing then you probably caught him on a bad night. “I was hoping we could talk. I can’t sleep.”
He almost chuckles at that—almost—because his body still aches too much for him to actually let out anything other than a ragged breath. But he nods at you and steps to the side, giving you the space to walk past him into the room, hearing the door hiss shut behind you. Then you both stand there in the dark and Obi-Wan can feel your Force signature picking at itself in its anxiety, so he walks the distance to the light switch and flicks it on with eyes that screw shut by the disturbance of how bright it is.
Seeing him now in the light, you notice just how bad the situation is. The circles under his eyes are darker than you’ve ever seen them and he’s been sweating something fierce (though you try not to keep your gaze fixed on his bare chest, really.) He looks uncomfortable, worse than when you’ve seen him after a battle where even walking on two legs is too hard a task. Your first instinct is to reach for him, to put your hands on his cheeks and ease his pain, but you keep still in your place. In some way, you think that would only make things worse.
“I can’t offer much,” he waves a placid hand over at the couch and gestures vaguely to the nothing that is his private quarters.
You offer him a small smile, hoping it’ll ease his concern. “That’s alright,” one step forward and gentleness to your voice. “Sit with me?”
There’s a hesitancy in the way he swallows but then nods without looking you in the eye. Once again avoiding you as much as possible, even in the same room, even when it’s only the two of you. He sits beside you regardless, instead of keeping distance like you had assumed he would. The way his body stoops as soon as he sinks into the cushioned seat has your heart clenching in your chest, all too soon seeping into guilt.
“I’m sorry, Obi-Wan,” you sigh, feeling selfish now. “I shouldn’t have disturbed you.”
He shakes his head, dusting off the cobwebs. “No matter. I am your friend after all.”
“But I wonder... is there anything I can do for you?”
You reach a hand over to him, placing it on his arm, and he immediately falls into your touch like you were the support beneath a sinking house. It’s as if he crumbles underneath your palm, his whole body leaning toward you and then his head turns, and his breath fans your face that you about have a visceral reaction to it—the only time you’ve been this close to him, in a moment like this, has been in your dreams, and those were hardly anything tangible.
He’s not slumpish in his position at all, but rather intent. Your eyes meet, drawn to each other the way his body was drawn in from that one simple touch. It’s not momentary, or hesitant. Obi-Wan is letting himself lean close to you—closer and closer still, completely entrapped by the tantalizing presence of you beside him. Maker, so similar to moments he’s dreamt of. So risky to pattern after them if he just leans a fraction closer in the sinful act for your lips to touch.
It’s alluring, but Obi-Wan manages to remind himself that this isn’t a dream. He practically snaps back to himself with the way he reclines from your hand and moves to his side of the couch, leaving your fingers against the air. He feels as if a hive has spread through his whole body, especially when he raises a shaky hand and instantly presses it against his forehead in the hopes that you won’t notice. But now his body is curled against the couch arm, his back to you.
“What’s been bothering you?” Obi-Wan asks, though what he really means is, ‘Can you get to the point so that I can be alone?’
In the mornings, at a respectable hour, when he’s spent time mediating to eradicate his thoughts from the dreams he has of you, it’s much easier to control himself. He wipes away the fantasies and by the time you come to see him he isn’t withering in temptation. But you’ve come to see him now of all times, just minutes after he had one of the most vivid of dreams—this one of fingers tracing skin, exploring curves and edges underneath clothing. If you were to peer into his mind right now he would be ashamed of himself.
“I’ve been having dreams again,” your voice speaks low, but it might as well have been right beside his ear as he’s so attentive to it.
The sentence yanks him back like a hand tugging on his cloak, turning him to face you. “Bad dreams?”
Your eyes meet his and you’re surprised that he doesn’t look away this time. “I’m not sure what to call them.”
“Are they...” Obi-Wan swallows, curious but cautious. “Similar to the dreams you’ve had before?”
You don’t speak an answer this time, simply nod your head and then look down at your hands which are fiddling in your lap. It almost brings him back to that night where you had admitted to him the seriousness of your dreams, seeing the way you fidget, caught between balancing on a wire or falling straight off.
He’s not sure what possesses him at the moment, but he already feels too far gone to walk on eggshells now. “Tell me about them.”
There’s no hiding the way you react to his words, how you look at him with surprised eyes—almost like a bantha caught in speeder lights. It’s not what you’re expecting at all. There have been so many times where Obi-Wan has run from you, not just in reference to the dreams. If you were ever troubled then he would play the role of Jedi Master and nothing more. Now he truly is living up to what he had spoken earlier; a friend. What exactly changed in just a few moments of silence?
Before a single word bubbles out of your mouth, your heart skips a beat in your chest. You can’t tell him everything. “What I told you this morning was true, but tonight it was like having them for the first time again. When I dream they feel so real. It’s like living in another world. I sometimes convince myself that they’re memories when I wake up, but then it only hurts to know that they’re not.”
“Because you wish that they were,” Obi-Wan says. “You told me once before that they feel like hopes.”
“Yes,” you whisper, watching that memory in your head like a ghost in the corner of the room.
“I understand how you feel,” he breathes, but you hardly believe him.
You watch him closely, waiting for something to reveal himself to you—why he’s been having trouble sleeping, why he finds it so difficult to speak to you in honesty, why he’s been pushing himself so hard as of late, and all of it is, what you feel, an excuse to distance himself from you. He gives away nothing, not even now, though you can see that he’s on the precipice of either screaming or falling asleep right against the couch arm.
“I know, Obi-Wan,” you grin shortly, not having as near as much patience as you would when you’re more awake. “Dreams pass in time. I’ll forget all about this one, I’ll make sure of it.”
Now something changes in him. Now. He pushes his elbow off the couch arm, eyebrows furrowed. “But I thought they meant something to you?”
“It doesn’t matter anymore.”
“Why?”
“Because sometimes dreams will only ever be just that.”
He asks you again. “Why?”
You sit there confused and a little dumbfound as well. He looks so desperate, but it’s still such a mystery to you that you have no idea how you should be handling this. Do you put it to him gently, or do you tell him straight with about as much reprimand as he had spoken to you that night? Which, really, is kinder?
Taking in a breath, you put it to him truthfully. “Because it’s my dream, Obi-Wan. It isn’t yours.”
Silence takes over the conversation, but something that feels as if it skids everything to a complete stop. If there were music playing then it would have shut off. What stretches out this silence is the way you both look at each other—how Obi-Wan is dancing between one eye to the other, and how you watch him like you just poured your heart into your hands. If that were physical then it would be seeping between your fingertips at this point, all messy and atramentous on the carpet.
The lines between his brows crease even further, but this isn’t the expression of confusion, rather it’s the look of something serious. Obi-Wan sits across from you with an inner brimming determination that you can’t place, even if you were to rely on the Force for help in deciphering the change. The full reaction from him starts from the top—the tension in his brows, then the tight line of pressed lips, then his shoulders raise an inch until finally, his legs titter awake—and he presses a palm down flat into the cushion of the couch to draw himself closer to you, completely confident in invading the space he had previously run from.
His eyes capture yours, holding them hostage, and his voice is breathless when he speaks. “How do you know my dreams aren’t the same? Dear one, you have no clue why I fear sleep so much.”
“You’re afraid of them?” comes your whispered breath, worried about falling back into that square that Obi-Wan always happens to be outside of.
He shakes his head, and the emotion in his eyes speaks louder than his reply. “No, it’s not the dreams I fear. It’s why I have them.”
Trepidation pinches your chest, almost painful. “I don’t understand,”
The wait for his response feels long, though you’re sure that it’s only been a few seconds. It feels like it digs its nails into your skin, pulling you apart. Unraveling the truth in front of Obi-Wan would be more embarrassing than actually telling him that you have been dreaming of him every night still, that you never really stopped even though you told him that you did, or that the dreams mean little to you now when in fact they’ve hurt the worst they’ve ever done. Tonight only you had the vitality to come to his quarters and, Caraya’s soul, you so wish that the sun will peek through the gaps in his covered windows to really wake you both up.
The reply on his tongue sits there longer still, and instead what meets you is not his voice but his fingertips which brush gently along your cheek, hesitant at first as if he were touching a forbidden thing. It’s so featherlike that you could convince yourself that what you feel is but his breath and that you’re imagining things to cope. Then his fingertips lay upon your skin more firmly and you suck in a breath as they travel to cup your cheek in full, his thumb resting beside your parted lips almost as if they fit there in that very spot.
Cerulean eyes pierce your gaze once more, intense within a hair’s breadth. “Even now I can’t speak of my dreams,” he admits, something religious and torn in two, heavy out in the open and dangerous as it sinks. “So instead, let me show you.”
What silence you noted before is all but trampled by the deafened tune that rings in your ears and turns off all sense of right, instead diving into the wrong like you’re meant to be there, as soon as Obi-Wan leans so much closer to you than he’s ever done before and presses his lips against yours. It’s full, unceremoniously rousing in its greeting, then softer when it kicks consciousness back into Obi-Wan and he registers what he’s doing. His free hand goes to your shoulder, tightening with repentance—‘please, please forgive me’ his touch says—but in the gap that he makes in the act of pulling away you suddenly breathe his name, shortened and desperate, that Obi-Wan can’t continue to convince himself that his dreams mean nothing, and he gives in.
Powerful and anchored comes his second kiss to you, fitting his body against the curves of your own as both hands of his now rest on either side of your face, settling fingers at the back of your head as he drowns in the rapture of the feel and the taste of your lips. Down the path he takes in brazenness against the Code, too far gone to retreat now. Your lips, like fire on his, burn him to his skin and bones with an open invitation. Again and again, he sins against your lips. He traces his temptations with the tip of his tongue, savoring the moment in case it should never happen again. Though he knows now that this is the first of many mistakes he will freely repeat.
Sparking hope in the very foundation of the dubiety you exercised in your head that Obi-Wan could ever, if it were possible, reciprocate the attachment you feel for him is the very truth in the depth of his actions. It knocks into you that his heart feels the same and that you haven’t been suffering in your indecision alone. He only assures you more of this when his thumb wipes away the tear that skims down your cheek and the kiss that he presses to the skin to comfort the buzzing in your veins.
One more kiss he places on your other cheek, then the tip of your nose. “Forgive me,” he whispers, eyes swimming.
His beard tickles your skin when you place a hand on his cheek, your thumb caressing gentle circles to ease his mind. “Kiss me,”
Soft and lucid words console Obi-Wan’s unkempt mind of overstepping the boundary. A jeopardous decision he’s made in letting his heart take control, but your voice assures him that it was not taken individually but rather together, holding onto each other as you allow dreams to become reality. His dreams will no longer keep him awake at night but instead the chase of your lips each time the sun goes down, and the stars will shine for you as he bleeds himself dry in the unequivocal depth of his love for you. So he follows his heart once more and kisses you again.

The old cargo ship slowly made its way down to the landing dock and Obi-Wan grasped the handle on his seat harder. It had been a very long time since he last set foot on Alderaan, or anywhere except the endless sandy landscape of Tatooine. Hiding from the never-resting evil, in the harsh world of the Outer Rim, had made him a suspicious man. Over time he lost contact with the Force and struggled to accept that the life of the Jedi was no longer his. He was lonely, trusted nobody, and very rarely visited one of the few friends from the past who knew he was still alive. Drawing attention to himself was not something he wanted and he knew he took a risk every time he left the relatively safe hiding place out in the desert. But when Bail Organa unexpectedly pleaded for his help in a complicated and highly sensitive matter, Obi-Wan found it impossible to reject him. Deep down, he knew that he could not hide from his destiny. Dressed in worn clothes, and with the only weapon he owned hidden underneath, he boarded the cargo ship, which would take him to his destination.
Alderaan was just as beautiful as he remembered. Its snowy peaks and green forests, together with the great Cloudshape Falls, could all be seen clearly from the sky. When Obi-Wan finally stood on the ground and breathed the fresh and almost crispy air, so very different from the warm desert air his lungs had grown used to, he felt a small tingle in the skin on his face. He did not remove his large hood—it provided him shelter from curious eyes—before he started the long walk from the dock to the Royal Palace. He didn’t want to be seen more than necessary so he avoided the usual and more formal way of arriving at the Mountain Palace.
The path Obi-Wan chose led him along the outline of the forest and over open fields. Alderaan's sun moved gracefully over the sky as he walked and when the shadows grew longer and the light became more golden, he finally saw the city of Aldera and the Royal Palace. An unwelcome wave of insecurity washed over him. He was not the strong Jedi he used to be. When Bail reached out to him, Obi-Wan had tried to explain that, but his old friend wanted him to come nevertheless. With the sun hanging low over the palace, its towers and spires sparkled like rare stones coming from deep within the snow-capped mountains towering behind the palace.
Obi-Wan looked at the vast expanse of the lake in front of him. The Palace and part of the city overlooked its blue waters and he would have to walk around the lake since no transport could be seen. What he would give for a bath or shower right now. The water was glittering and appeared almost turquoise when it reflected the sky. A memory stirred in him, something about the lake being very deep and not as warm as it was easy to believe. He smiled to himself; Queen Breha had told him that many years ago, when he first came to visit Alderaan. It felt like a lifetime ago. Back then, time had not yet created small valleys around his eyes, and his hairline had not begun to move higher on his forehead. Obi-Wan was not vain, he was still too much of a Jedi for that; it was just an impartial reflection on the passage of time. Lost in old memories, his feet carried him almost to the shore of the lake before he noticed that another person was kneeling by the water. A woman, dark-haired, with her hair braided and wrapped around her head into a crown, was washing her hands in the clear water. Next to her lay a large bouquet of starflowers. She had not seen him yet and for a second he thought about leaving unseen, but as he took another step, a branch broke under his weight. The sound made the woman turn to him. At first, he could read fear in her eyes and she had every right to think the worst of him. He knew he was not very presentable-looking in his worn clothes, with an unkempt beard and dirty hands. He held up his hands in a gesture he hoped signaled that he had no foul intentions, showing the traces of his long journey.
”I’m sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt. I just need to wash my hands and face.”
She gave him a careful smile, held her guard up, but nodded. It made sense.
”It’s ok. I was lost in my own thoughts; it’s not your fault I didn’t hear you coming this way.”
Obi-Wan kneeled beside her, keeping a respectful distance. The water was indeed colder than it looked, but it felt heavenly as he patted his face with his wet palms. He could feel the woman watching him.
”It would be easier to clean your face if you removed your hood,” she said with a small laugh in her voice. Apparently, she had decided that he was no threat to her. He considered her words. She was right of course and he really needed to freshen up a little before he met his hosts. With two hands he grabbed the hood and pulled it back. Then he lowered his hands to the water, formed them into a bowl and splashed the cold water over his face. He gave a pleased sigh. Another splash of water on his neck and it ran in a chilling stream down under his tunic. He continued to clean himself up as much as he could and when done, he stretched his back and stood up. So did she.
The woman met his gaze and when she looked back at him he could swear he felt the ground move under him. Her beautiful almond-shaped eyes were of a rare blue color, the same color as the starflowers she held in her hand. She looked at him with interest, like she was mapping his face in her memory, and for a second she glanced at his lips, before she averted her eyes with a shy smile. For the first time in ages, Obi-Wan struggled to find words. He wanted to compliment her, but had no words for it. So instead he asked for the only thing he could think of: her name.
”Eliise.” When she spoke, she met his gaze again and Obi-Wan felt the overwhelming feeling of helplessness, for the gravity in her eyes was beyond anything he had experienced before. As a Master Jedi, he had never allowed himself to indulge in any activity that could make him lose focus on the path he had taken, but now, as he stared into the depth of Eliise’s starflower-colored eyes, he felt something.
”Eliise,” he repeated and her name felt strangely right when it rolled off his tongue. She smiled innocently at him but Obi-Wan did not miss the way her eyes shifted slightly when he said her name.
”You are not from here, if I'm not mistaken?”
”No, I’m not. I’m only here for a short visit at… a friend’s place.” Obi-Wan stopped himself before he said too much. He just met the woman, there was no need to tell her that he was a personal guest of Bail Organa, highly respected senator of Alderaan and his wife, Queen Breha.
”I see,” she said with a badly hidden disappointed look in her expressive eyes. Then, as though a thought just appeared in her mind, she gave him a faint smile again. ”Aldera is my home, it’s all I have ever known. I have never traveled beyond our borders. I am a free woman, but the right opportunity has never appeared.”
Obi-Wan thought he saw a hint of sadness in her eyes. Maybe it was the thought of missed opportunities, lost moments of adventures or the feeling of being stuck in the same place that clouded her eyes for a second. ”I’m sorry, I talk too much,” she then added and Obi-Wan wondered what she really wanted to say. He thought of walking away, to ignore the unfamiliar feeling that spread in his chest and the increasing drumming of his heart, but he found himself unable to turn his back on her.
”Perhaps you want some company on the way back, may I escort you?” he offered with what he hoped was a comforting smile. ”It is my humble opinion that you don’t talk too much. In fact, I would like to hear more, if the thought doesn’t make you uncomfortable.”
She smiled warmly back at him. ”I will gladly accept your company.”
The road gradually changed the closer they came to the palace and nature gave room to the city of Aldera. Eliise talked about her life in the city, about places she liked, where one could find the best meals, for a reasonable payment, and where art and music could be enjoyed. It did not take long before her hand brushed repeatedly against his as they walked closer to each other. It was an innocent touch but he sensed there was something else in the air, something unspoken happened as they continued their unhurried walk. Obi-Wan spoke very little about himself, skillfully steered her away from any personal subjects and answered only questions regarding his thoughts and taste in different things. He liked her soft feminine voice, its melody was charming and he wanted the conversation to last longer when she suddenly stopped outside a small two-floored house. She nodded at the house. ”This is where I live, on the second floor. The old man I rent from is a kind man and for a few extra credits, he asks no questions about my personal life.” She lowered her voice to a whisper as she leaned closer to him. ”You have not even told me your name, but here I am, ready to invite you to my home. I have never done this before, please tell me that I’m crazy, but something about you makes me feel so relaxed and yet so… curious.”
Her eyes, this time filled with a longing he was not sure he could live up to, made him hesitate. Speechless, he looked back at her, her directness came as a surprise and once again he was unable to find the right words. She shifted and waited while the inner struggle tore Obi-Wan between wanting to follow her inside and the fear of doing something he, or both of them, would regret later. There was no doubt in her eyes, no room for misunderstanding. He briefly thought about the meeting he was supposed to attend the following day, as an adviser in a very sensitive situation. He knew that Bail would not be at his disposal on this particular evening, for the senator told him so during their last contact. It mattered little if he arrived later that night, as long as he was in place for breakfast. An embarrassed look fell over Eliise’s face. ”I’m sorry, I assumed too much.” She took a step to the side and Obi-Wan could see how she inhaled deeply. ”Thank you for your company. I wish you a pleasant stay in Aldera.” Her voice sounded weirdly neutral and the change in her body language finally caused him to react.
“You can call me Ben,” he said softly, but without making a move to stop her.
She watched him for a moment, like she was weighing his words and the meaning of them on a scale. He could tell that his own insecurity made her hesitate. She probably thought he was only mildly interested in her, but Obi-Wan's problem lay not in his level of interest. The lost connection with the Force had made him doubt himself in all the ways a man possibly can. Intimcity was never something he thought about, but now, as Eliise looked at him with a new hope in her beautiful eyes, he felt both tempted and frightened.
”Ben,” she tried his name. ”Would you like to come inside? I have refreshments, and fruit if you want.” Obi-Wan swallowed hard. What she offered sounded innocent but the afternoon sun made her skin glow and he caught himself thinking of how it would feel to run his fingertips over her cheek. He nodded slowly.
Eliise’s home was small but pretty, just like the woman living there. The feminine touch in tiny details made the place very personal. She liked the color blue, Obi-Wan noticed as he looked around the main room. A tray with cold drinks stood on a small table and she lifted a glass and offered him one. He was thirsty and drank greedily. Before he could put the glass back on the tray, she took the glass from him, her fingers gently caressing his as they met. ”Thank you,” he mumbled, unable to think of anything but her sensual lips as she put her own glass to her mouth and drank. As she swallowed the cold drink in a series of small sips, he watched her throat’s movements. Heat spread in the lower parts of his body at the sight of her drinking and he briefly questioned if what he felt was normal. He was, of course, well aware of the strong attraction two people could build, and he was not inexperienced in the matter. His doubts were only directed to his own abilities, it had been a long time since he touched a woman. Too long, he thought as she took a step closer to him.
Her lips were soft against his, she tasted sweet, like newly collected berries, and when she finally ran her small hands through the hair on his neck, he wrapped his arms around her. It made her moan softly against his lips and she deepened the kiss. Her tongue met his and when her body asked him to dance, he followed her blindly. Lost in his lust for her, he didn’t protest when she unclasped his cloak. It fell to the floor and revealed his tunic, and the belt where his only protection was attached. Too late he realized that she instantly recognized the item. Eliise stared at him in disbelief. ”Have I invited a Jedi, or maybe a Bounty Hunter with a taste for robbing his objects, to my bed?”
Obi-Wan looked back at her, she demanded the truth but there was no judgement in her eyes. He sighed. ”I’m no Bounty Hunter.”
Her eyes widened. ”I can’t believe it. We are always told that the Jedis are almost extinct.”
”Almost,” Obi-Wan echoed.
Eliise pressed herself tightly against him again. ”It makes no difference for me. I still want you to be here.” Her smile was genuine and inviting and Obi-Wan covered her lips with his. It didn’t matter that she knew, he could not turn back now. Her dress joined his cloak on the floor and the sight of her naked body made him groan quietly. Her skin had been kissed by the sun on many occasions and her body looked stronger than he had expected. With trembling hands he started to remove his belt and the tunic. When he came to his trousers, he hesitated. As though Eliise could sense it, she placed her hand over his and squeezed it. The heat from her body transferred to him and with gentle hands she helped him out of his last piece of clothes. Then she took his hand and led him to her bed. When she pulled him down with her on the soft pillows, he marveled at how comfortable she made him feel, but the feeling of self-doubt simultaneously spread rapidly in his body.
”Eliise.” Obi-Wan whispered, like he was afraid to scare her away. He felt so strong and weak at the same time and he needed to speak his mind. ”I…I’m not the man I once was. I’m not sure I can give you what you desire.”
She gave him a reassuring smile. ”Are you trying to tell me it’s been a while?”
”A very long time,” he answered honestly. ”Please, don’t expect too much from me. I am nothing but a simple man.” He avoided her gaze in a sudden feeling of embarrassment.
”Ben,” she said softly and with a hand on his bearded cheek she turned his face so she could look him in the eyes again. ”I wanted you here before I knew you were a Jedi, that has not changed,” she purred. ”I don’t expect more, in any way, because of who you are. Please believe me.” She sealed her words with a series of tender kisses. Then her kisses became more heated and soon she pulled herself on top of him. She straddled him, captured him between her slender thighs and leaned forward to continue kissing him. Obi-Wan ran his hands along her back, caressed the softness of her hips and groaned when she arched her back, causing her to push her lower body closer to his growing hardness. At least that part of his body was not completely broken.
Eliise moved slowly over him and he could feel the feminine heat from the peak between her thighs as she softly grinded against his smooth skin. Obi-Wan moaned at the contact and held her tighter. But she didn’t want to be held still, she was eager in his embrace and knew what she wanted. While her starflower-colored eyes looked like the sun itself shone in them, she adjusted her hips so the top of his shaft pressed against her slick opening. He could feel her need as she moved and for a second Obi-Wan was afraid he would not be able to control the wave of heat welling up in his body. Pure lust sang in his veins and he saw the same need in her eyes, when the burning desire for her exploded under his skin. He trembled, unprepared for the storm of emotions her naked body evoked. Eliise seemed unafraid of the feelings she set free and without a word she opened up to him like one of her starflowers opened its petals to the sun. With a soft moan, she sank down over him and his fingers gripped harshly at the softness of her hips. She hissed his name and a surprised smile graced her beautiful face as he could feel her body’s desperate attempt to adjust to him. Buried deep inside her, he was allowed to feel it all and the sensation made him expectantly caress her thighs. Her slickness coated him and when she tentatively rocked her hips against him, he saw stars.
Her hair fell down from its braided creation and dark locks danced around her face in sync with her body’s movements. Obi-Wan looked up at her and the sight of her visual pleasure together with the steady rocking of her body was almost too much for him. Eliise seemed to know her body well, for she easily found the right angle and rhythm, and then used them to chase what she wanted. Soon her breathing became ragged and she increased the friction between them. Obi-Wan felt her clench hard around his length but fought his first instinct to follow her. He was not done with her yet. When she shattered over him, he pulled her close and held her trembling body to his chest. As her breathing finally slowed down, she looked at him and met his lips in a sweet kiss. Obi-Wan ran his hand through her now loose hair and it felt like exclusive threads of silk against his palm.
With little effort he rolled her over and covered her body with his. His shaft was throbbing and hard as the finest beskar, but he took his time with her and savored the moment. Obi-Wan rested his hands on either side of Eliise’s head and watched her intensively as he slowly entered her again. A lovely whimper fell from her lips when she once again was stretched around his girth. Her starflower-colored eyes appeared to be rounder when he drove himself deep into her tightness and she grabbed his upper arms as he began to thrust against her. Obi-Wan’s initial self-doubt was lost somewhere between her pleading moans and the steady pace he set. His nature’s instinct was stronger than his mind and his body remembered exactly what it was required to do. As he watched Eliise’s fascinating reactions to the movement of his hips, he became aware of all the small details that exposed her pleasure and he wanted to remember them. The noises she made, the way her fingernails scratched his shoulders when he hit her most sensitive spot and how her eyes burned with need as he lowered himself to place heated kisses on her neck.
Eliise was close, he could feel her body tense in anticipation and this time he wanted to follow her all the way. With his blood boiling in his vein, Obi-Wan focused all his efforts on the movement he quickly learned gave her the greatest pleasure. When her moans eventually turned to a cry, and the sound of his name filled the room, he let go. Long years of tension lifted from his chest as he gave her all he had. The feeling of relief was more intense than he remembered. He collapsed over her, heavily panting, and when she finally released him from her tight hug, he rolled down on his back beside her. He pulled her closer to him and came to rest with her head on his arm. With his free hand he caressed her soft skin and she placed a gentle kiss on his cheek. She was warm and smelled of flowers, even now after their lusty moment.
They rested in silence. Eliise absently played with the hair on his chest and he liked the feeling of her fingers slowly moving over his skin. No words were needed between them and when the room finally grew darker, Obi-Wan reluctantly broke the silence. ”I really should get going. I was expected to arrive much earlier, but now it’s time for me to continue my walk, alone.”
Eliise looked at him with sadness in her eyes. ”I understand,” she then said. ”You can’t let the senator wait?”
”How did you..?” Obi-Wan went silent, he had said too much.
”I did not. But when a Jedi suddenly shows up on Alderaan, he is not here to visit some old friend. Maybe, if that friend also happens to be of great importance. And you just confirmed it.”
Obi-Wan sighed. He was a fool, like so many other men trapped under the spell of a beautiful woman.
”Don’t worry. Your secret is safe with me.” She smiled at him again and patted his arm. ”Perhaps you should get yourself ready.”
They rose from the bed and got their clothes on faster than Obi-Wan preferred. He wouldn’t have minded staying longer but it was getting late and he was on a mission. And he needed to sleep after the long trip if he was going to be the best he could the following day. Bail deserved nothing but the best. He believed in Obi-Wan, he always had, even now, when not even Obi-Wan believed in himself. But as he looked into Eliise’s eyes for what he assumed was the final time, he realized that he was a changed man. His back was a little straighter, he held his head a little higher. Somehow she managed to give him something he could not have found on his own. Gratitude filled his heart and he leaned in to give her a final kiss. He had nothing else to offer her. No promises nor words of comfort. When he reached for the handle to her door, she suddenly placed one of her small delicate hands on his arm. ”Wait!”
She was gone for only a short moment and when she returned she held a blue flower in her hand. Most of its long stalk was removed, only the flower remained. She placed it in his hand. ”Take this, maybe it will keep you safe. Maybe you will look at it and think of me.” He placed the little starflower in his hidden pocket and it made her smile at him one final time. Then Eliise hugged him and Obi-Wan briefly closed his eyes and inhaled deeply. He would forever remember her scent.
When he stepped out on the street, Obi-Wan pulled his hood up and made sure his cloak covered the only evidence of who he really was. To his surprise the lightsaber felt less heavy now. He looked up at the dark sky where thousands of stars created beautiful patterns. For the first time ever, they made him think of flowers on a meadow. He smiled to himself. Eliise smelled like starflowers.

Time Travel is my favourite trope and I think we need more fics where both Obi-Wan AND Qui-Gon time travel together because no matter when they get sent it's chaos. They're saving the galaxy and being physic flash-bangs to everyone around them.
like before Bandomeer?
The entire council is baffled to watch as Qui-Gon 'never taking a padawan again' Jinn has suddenly cut off his post-Xanatos depression tour to return to the temple and beeline to the creche with a frantic energy. His wild eyes immediately single out a fluffy, red-haired initiate.
"You." he exhales with a pointed finger, slightly ominous as he towers over the child. Said child starts vibrating with delight. "Me." he agrees, launching himself at the man. Qui-Gon drops to his knees with a thud that cannot be healthy. Obi-Wan's attempts to clamber into Qui-Gon's robes and maybe onto his shoulders is thwarted by the fact that Qui-Gon's massive hands are cupping Obi-Wan's tiny squishy cheeks. He stares at the initiate for a few minutes with an intensity that is starting to worry people.
Finally, "You're so small." Qui-Gon sounds like he might cry.
'What the fuck?' Plo Koon projects at Mace.
"I'm 9! That tends to be the case!" the child chirps back.
"You're nine." Oh. Ah. Qui-Gon's eyes are distinctively misty. He squishes the boy in a hug so hard he squeaks. Mace makes a series of gestures that imply the need for a head-scan. Depa obligingly drifts off towards the halls. Qui-Gon scoops the child up onto his hip and claims him as his padawan on the spot. The assorted council members and creche-masters burst into noise. Mace tells Depa to bring some space ibuprofen as well.
after Naboo?
Anakin is a little apprehensive of his place in both the order and Obi-Wan's life, but then one day Obi-Wan wakes up and is suddenly a lot less sad in the force?? In fact, if Anakin didn't know better he'd say he was almost giddy, but he's watched Obi-Wan try to pretend his world hasn't fallen apart for the past few months so it can't be that, right? And um, Miss Bant? He knows grief is a funny thing that affects people differently but he's pretty sure 'massive mood swing' and 'having full conversations with invisible people' is not...great? and you said to tell you if Obi-Wan got really weird in any way.
Anyway after a lot of medical exams, intense consultation with the archives, and a couple exorcisms, Anakin ends up being raised by his 'real' master and his ghost master. He is far more well adjusted emotionally and far less well adjusted for what counts as normal people behavior(not talking to thin air). When questioned on this, all he ever says is that he's talking to Qui-Gon. Isn't he...dead? Well, yes. Wait, he's a ghost? Ghosts are real? ...Well this ghost is real.
This starts a great number of existential crises among non-force sensitives and incredibly heated theological arguments amongst the Jedi. Whenever Obi-Wan is questioned on this, all he ever says is some variation of "the force got to know him for 5 seconds and kicked him back out." Mace backs him up on this even though that reasoning is technically blasphemous. Qui-Gon is having the time of his un-life. He's ascended to his final form, his sheer existence is a heresy, this is truly all he has ever aspired towards.
the Clone Wars?
The minute they get dropped back Qui-Gon immediately goes and haunts the shit out of Dooku. They have a signed terms of surrender and promise of info on the Sith Lord within the year. Only half of it is because Qui-Gon's giving Dooku complexes that are only perceptible to shrimp, the other half is because they now have a ghost spy that is not bound by the laws of physics nor spacetime.
Obi-Wan only nominally pays attention to this as he immediately goes and implements his 19 step seduction plan with Cody (he had to focus on something on Tatooine to pass the time). It fails. Spectacularly. Publicly. Ah right. Tatooine was not exactly the height of his sanity. Everyone in the GAR and temple is now riveted by High General and Councilor Obi-Wan Kenobi's attempts to go on a date with his Commander, who bats him away him like a particularly annoying stray and seems one bouquet of cactus away from committing mutiny. Anakin is worrying if it means his master knows about his secret marriage and this is some sort of really weird power play. (It is, but not in the way he thinks)
The next time Dooku goes after Obi-Wan, Qui-Gon spends a good few months appearing tear-stained at the edge of Dooku's perception and only communicating in terrible wails and discordant mutterings of 'padawan. my padawan. my little one.' 24/7.
"Wait, you're annoying Dooku into surrendering?"
"Oh no Anakin, we're crushing his psyche like a bug. :)"

I have been drifting back to STAR WARS fandom lately and I have been greatly rewarded for it, especially in the gen fic veins, because there have been some banger fics authors have been putting out! And the thing that really gets me in the fannish heart is that there's more and more fics about the Jedi, both for exploring the characters and the culture. I have been able to find multiple fics that have been kind to Mace Windu! I have been able to find multiple fics that explain what attachment actually is to the Jedi and to Star Wars! I have been able to find multiple fics that lift my spirit up or punch me in the feelings in exactly the right way, both for the usual disaster lineage faves, but also for the Jedi as a whole. I'm serious, that means the world to me in this fandom, and I desperately want to share that with you all. LET ME SHOVE FIC AT YOU THAT LOVES THESE CHARACTERS AND THIS WORLD AS MUCH AS I DO!!
FICS THAT PUNCHED ME IN THE FACE WITH HOW GOOD THEY WERE: ✦ wayfinding by night by wrennette, obi-wan & luke & cast, time travel, 10.2k     Before him stood a fellow Jedi, worn and weary with loss. Obi-Wan finds himself on Ahch-To and helps Luke find a path through his grief. ✦ may you inherit his light by notbecauseofvictories, leia & bail & anakin & cast, 2.5k     When your father dies, say the Coruscanti, you are left clutching a star map for a different galaxy. In this, as in many things, Leia is her fathers' daughter. ✦ No Freedom From the Storm (But Peace In Its Midst) by Be_Right_Back, mace & cast, ~1k     Mace is freefalling. On his way down, he meets Hatred, and reaches for Serenity. ✦ "...if you remain his student" by Peppermint_Shamrock, anakin & ahsoka & cast, 3.9k     Ahsoka doesn't leave the Jedi Order. This does not save Anakin. This was never going to save Anakin. Nor stop him. ✦ a distant fire is burning by e_va, obi-wan & anakin & ahsoka & cal, time travel, 47.4k wip     Cal Kestis can move backwards in time (kinda-sorta-not really), and his confrontation with Darth Vader in the Fortress Inquisitorius plays out a lot differently. Fixing the timeline while stuck in his 10-year-old body will be quite the task, but Cal is up to it. He has to be. (Obi-Wan, Anakin, and the clone troopers have no idea what to make of Kenobi's weird new padawan. At least the kid fits in, though.) ✦ No Death, Only the Force by ExtraPenguin, anakin & mace & depa & shmi, 2.8k     Anakin Skywalker is just about to to free his mother from the Tuskens when the Force rudely yanks him to the Jedi Temple on Coruscant – and into Mace Windu's body. Mace, on the other hand, gets tossed into Anakin's body on Tatooine. ✦ Well Met by avocadomoon, obi-wan/padme (unconsumated) & corde & anakin, 19k     "Here and then gone again," Padmé said. "It must be lonely." "Sometimes," Obi-Wan said. "But a Jedi is never truly alone."
THIS FANDOM HAS A HAMMER AND A WHOLE BUNCH OF NAILS AND A REALLY GOOD STAPLE GUN, WE'RE FIXING WHAT CANON BROKE AND NOBODY CAN STOP US NOT EVEN GOD: ✦ Begin again by mauvera, obi-wan & qui-gon & anakin & padme & mace & dooku & cast, time travel, 78.9k     Five years into his self imposed exile on Tattooine, Obi-Wan Kenobi is gifted the chance to go back and bring hope back to the galaxy. With hindsight on his side, he fully intends to save his master, save his padawan, make some new and old friends again, prepare the Jedi for a war they’ll hopefully never see and begin to pull apart all the many tangled threads of the Sith Lord’s plans. ✦ Repetition by Peppermint_Shamrock, cody & obi-wan, time loop, 3k     Cody wakes up from a nightmare on the way to Utapau, again and again.
CANON-COMPLIANT (MOSTLY, UP TO A CERTAIN POINT, WHATEVER) DISASTER LINEAGE: ✦ it's like i can feel time moving by gigglesandfreckles, obi-wan & anakin & ahsoka, 5.4k     “Hi,” Anakin says. It's after midnight. “Is everything alright?” “Can’t a man stop by his old master’s room?” Obi-Wan stares at him blankly. “Are you out of food?” ✦ yes, I will take you / I will love you, again by foreverstudent, obi-wan & anakin & cast, time travel, 2.5k     "So you have tried, Padawan." Qui-Gon takes a moment, and his expression is steely but not unkind--the one Obi-Wan remembers from particularly grueling training sessions. "Would you try again, if you had the chance?" OWK!Obi-Wan gets another chance, with a child he once left behind. ✦ No Good Deed Goes Unpunished by kittona, obi-wan & anakin & ahsoka, 1.1k     Anakin gets a bit overprotective when his loved ones are sick. Luckily, he has the best home remedy for a cold. ✦ nothing a cup of tea can't fix by gigglesandfreckles, obi-wan & anakin & ahsoka, 1.5k     when Anakin shows up to Obi-Wan's quarters in the middle of the night, the Jedi Master knows something has gone awry. answering Anakin's desperate cry for help, Obi-Wan is reminded of how very, very prone to dramatics his former padawan and grand padawan are. or Ahsoka gets sick and Anakin flips his shit. ✦ Stick Figures by KCKenobi, obi-wan & anakin & ahsoka, 2k     war is hard. war is draining. to make it more bearable, little mementos* are routinely given. *mementos: encouraging notes, funny little drawings, little gifts, fun snacks, and poems which might get Anakin in trouble. ✦ When the Ground Breaks by stolen_pen_name23, obi-wan & anakin & ahsoka, 4.7k     An earthquake causes devastation on the planet of Berchest. Obi-Wan, Anakin, and Ahsoka work together to help save civilians until disaster pulls them apart. ✦ never fear, young one by marverse, obi-wan & ahsoka & cast, 6.2k     Ever since her first day of being a padawan, Ahsoka Tano remembers the words that Master Skywalker had once told her. And every time, she wonders, wonders, and wonders. ✦ the street's a little kinder when you're home by gigglesandfreckles, obi-wan & anakin, 5.2k     "So catch me up," Anakin says. "What did I miss?” Nothing. Nothing happens when you’re gone. “Oh, the usual.” [or: anakin goes missing. obi-wan doesn't handle it well.] ✦ holding anchor by foreverstudent, obi-wan & anakin & ahsoka, 3.2k     At the landing of Point Rain, an injured Obi-Wan allows himself to be sentimental over his former padawan, and Anakin patches up his old master. ✦ Nothing to Say by KCKenobi, obi-wan & anakin & satine, 3.2k     (or: Anakin and Satine don’t know how to talk to each other. Until they remember the very important thing they have in common.) ✦ Aggressive Negotiations by SkyBlue1309, obi-wan & anakin & cast, 2.2k     People forget that Anakin was raised by the Negotiator. He was bound to pick up on a thing or two. ✦ At The Window by Peppermint_Shamrock, obi-wan & anakin, ~1k     In the early days of Anakin's apprenticeship, Obi-Wan searches for him in the Temple. ✦ The Words by Ibelin, obi-wan & anakin, 3.9k     Obi-Wan Kenobi has never said I love you in his life. He can say a lot of other things, though.
JEDI CULTURE AND WORLDBUILDING AND CELEBRATION: ✦ Refractions of Light by Independence1776, ezra & kanan, 1.3k     Kanan celebrates a Jedi holiday with Ezra. ✦ The grand outing by Ingata, dooku & sifo-dyas & obi-wan & bant & garen & reeft & yoda & cast, 4.5k     Eight younglings and two Jedi masters on a field trip. What could possibly go wrong? ✦ into the statue that breathes by spoonks, obi-wan & feemor & cast, 8.5k     The night watch in the garden was supposed to be the calmest of them all. No mischievous Padawans “sneaking” in or out, or ne’er-do-well civilians conducting “business” around the lower-level entrances that they didn’t know existed. No the gardens was still, and it was like time was frozen in ice that slowly melted away with the rising of the sun. A slow drip, drip— Drip. Immediately Feemor turned towards the central waterfall. Someone was standing there. Whoever they were, they were small and moved through katas with their hands open like a greeting. ✦ The Temple vs. Order 66 by LauraBWrites, obi-wan & anakin & ahsoka & cody & jedi & jedi temple, 3.9k     The Temple cannot defy the Will of the Force. But it can, it will prepare for the possible outcomes. It can damn well fight back. ✦ We Three Runaways. by Aethir, obi-wan & depa & komari, 2.7k     In which Depa and Obi-Wan bond, and a new sister is found. ✦ A Short Break by Peppermint_Shamrock, luke & yoda, ~1k     Luke complains about his training, and asks about Jedi training of old. ✦ we are made of our longest days by bereft_of_frogs, obi-wan & anakin & cast, 4.4k     Two years after the events of The Phantom Menace, Obi-Wan and his new apprentice are called to a remote moon to fetch a baby who’s showing signs of a rare, unique power. On their journey home, Obi-Wan reflects on the last child he brought to the Temple and catches a faint glimpse of three possibly entwining futures.
I AM A PREQUELS ERA BITCH AND I'M MAKING THAT EVERYONE ELSE'S PROBLEM: ✦ the salle at dawn by maragny, anakin & mace, 1.5k wip     Master Windu is the best duellist in the Jedi Order. When Anakin Skywalker is seventeen, he duels Mace for the first time, and it ruins both of them for anyone else. ✦ Saving People Counts as Revenge, Right? by ImperialKatwala, obi-wan & anakin & dooku, time travel, 4.3k wip     Count Dooku of Serenno is an intelligent man. His methods may be a bit severe, and he may not be allowed true freedom to plan campaigns in the war he helped create, but he has always had an eye for strategy. Moving the pieces around the board and plotting out where they will need to be next. So, when he opens his eyes after Anakin Skywalker cut his head off, he knows to take a moment to assess what’s going on. ✦ if I could find solid ground again by maragny, anakin & depa, 1.5k     “You never told me what we’re doing today,” Anakin says, a little hesitant. “I…I don’t know much about Jedi things yet.” "Good thing we’re not doing Jedi things, then,” Depa replies. “We’re cooking!” Or, Anakin and Depa, finding their places in their family. ✦ Birds Fly in Different Directions by Triscribe, jedi & clones, time travel, 14.6k     In the corridor beyond her quarters, other Jedi were emerging from their own doors, most of them wide-eyed with shock. A few merely looked blearily concerned, and Aayla heard snatches of questions as she darted past, queries as to whether everyone experienced the same distressing vision. But those who clutched at their chests or throats, their weak points- those Jedi bore a muted horror in their eyes, and Aayla didn’t doubt they’d just suffered their own betrayals from trusted men.
✦ The Master, The Padawan, and The Force by Pandora151, padme & ahsoka, 1.9k     Padmé Naberrie was never one to procrastinate. More than that, she maintained a steady, consistent schedule — something that she’d managed to keep ever since she was a Padawan. She was always on top of everything, from her responsibilities with the war to training her own Padawan, Ahsoka. She was well-known throughout the Order for being steady, reliable. And most notably, no matter what, she didn’t just forget things. Which made her current situation all the more…ridiculous. ✦ Off-by-one Error by Jessepinwheel, obi-wan & cast, 12.2k     A stranger appears in the Jedi Temple. Nobody knows who he is or where he came from. Nobody knows what has happened to him except that it must have been something truly terrible. The stranger's name is Obi-Wan Kenobi. ✦ splinters of light by wrennette, dooku & jocasta & sifo-dyas & yoda & jaster & jango & cast, time travel, 22.5k     When Dooku's dying consciousness was sent back into his younger body, at first he remembered only that something important would happen on Korda VI, and soon. His investigations brought both clarity and confusion, and a conviction that he must atone for evils not yet enacted. ✦ The Road that Reaches by ExtraPenguin, anakin & mace & yoda & depa & shmi, 11.5k     As the Council sits down on Naboo to consider the newly-knighted Obi-Wan Kenobi's request to take young Anakin Skywalker as his padawan, they're informed of what transpired on Tatooine – and that Anakin used to be a slave. Mace Windu goes to interview the young child to confirm this, and gets rather more than he signed up for. ✦ the salle at dawn by maragny, anakin &/ mace, 5.1k     Master Windu is the best duellist in the Jedi Order. When Anakin Skywalker is seventeen, he duels Mace for the first time, and it ruins both of them for anyone else. ✦ through the dark (like two flames) by treescape, kanan/cal & quinlan, 5.3k     A Jedi found him on Bracca. Or, in the weeks after Order 66, Cal Kestis and Caleb Dume are reunited on Jabiim. Five years late, on the run from Inquisitors, they have a decision to make. ✦ Resilience by TemporaryUniverse, obi-wan & mace, 3.3k     Twelve years after his defeat at the Battle of Naboo, Obi-Wan's greatest enemy has returned from the dead. Obi-Wan has faced Maul and lost. Now it is time to face himself. ✦ The Buried Truth is Your Favorite Lie by Peppermint_Shamrock, dooku & yoda, ~1k     Dooku tries and fails to leave the past behind. ✦ Hanging On by the Last Threads of Our Hope by IllyanaA, ahsoka & rex, 5.2k     Ahsoka and Rex have endured too much. After the Fall, they stay together until they can't, but the Force has a way of bringing them back together. It's a fact for which both of them are immeasurably grateful.
MULTIGENERATIONAL STAR WARS IS THE BEST STAR WARS: ✦ Future Tense by CeruleanTactician, obi-wan & anakin & luke, time travel, 1.4k     Obi-Wan and Anakin find themselves twenty years in the future, where they meet a young man by the name of Luke Skywalker. ✦ Keepsakes by Coalmine301, obi-wan & leia, 2k     “You were the one who gave me my bantha, weren’t you?” “Yes,” Obi-wan nodded with a small smile. “Your father told me they were your favorite animal. At least then it was.” ✦ Why the Sith Don't Have Class Reunions by Peppermint_Shamrock, anakin & palpatine & maul & dooku & ventress, time travel, 1.9k     Sith apprentices rarely agree with one another (there’s a reason for the Rule of Two, after all), but Darth Sidious is starting to think that it’s worse when they do. ✦ My Dear Padawan by Tulak_Hord, luke & yoda & palpatine, time travel, 3.2k     In which a time-travelling Luke Skywalker successfully saves the Galaxy in perhaps the most horrifying manner imaginable. ✦ The Return by Pandora151, obi-wan & leia & haja, 1.4k     Haja wonders about the others. He wonders about the people he’s sent to the Path from Daiyu — not just Kenobi and the Princess, but that Force-sensitive boy and his mother, the Nautolan teenager from a few weeks ago, the young Kel Dor child and his even younger siblings. Did they all make it home? Are they safe? Was all of this worth it? ✦ Message From Guiding Light by Batsutousai, obi-wan & leia & mace, time travel, 2.2k     Ben and Leia never make it to Mapuzo on the borrowed supply shuttle, instead finding themselves in the middle of the Clone Wars.
FRIENDSHIP WITH CANON ENDED, THIS COOL AU IS MY NEW BEST FRIEND NOW: ✦ Not A Moment Too Soon by Triscribe, depa & kanan & cast, 2k     The first time she stumbled, her padawan said nothing, simply offering his shoulder for her to lean on. ✦ Parallel Lines by Pandora151, obi-wan & anakin, time travel, time loop, 10.7k     Darth Vader leans back in his chair, allowing a small smile to form on his lips, hidden by his helmet. “There is no escape from this, Obi-Wan,” he utters. He looks down at the neat line of text, and the Force echoes his words. “No escape from the past.” ✦ through the dark (like two flames) by treescape, ca/kanan & quinlan, 5.3k     A Jedi found him on Bracca. Or, in the weeks after Order 66, Cal Kestis and Caleb Dume are reunited on Jabiim. Five years late, on the run from Inquisitors, they have a decision to make. ✦ Loth-Cats and Loth-Rats by TessaDoesThings, mace & depa & kanan & ezra, 19k     All Mace Windu wanted out of the Post-Clone Wars world was a simple trip with his lineage to the long-forgotten Jedi Temples of the Outer Rim. However, on Lothal, the three might have bitten off more than they expected. The Republic may have triumphed, but the roots of what could have become the empire are gripped in the corners of the galaxy, and it might be time for some aggressive space weeding. Or a coup d'etat. That would work too. ✦ a princess, a farmer, a teacher by jesuisdeux, obi-wan & luke & leia & bail, 1.4k     Early in the morning, a girl and few men knock on a door. 18+ -- saw someone do somethin' like this please lmk so I can give credits <3
Anakin Skywalker who fucks you cruelly, pounding your tight hole with no mercy whatsoever, with his firm grip on your hair, your body arches in perfect alignment for him, cries of pleasure escaping your lips exclusively for him, and him alone.
"yeah? you fuckin' like this huh?" he hisses into your ear, sending shivers down your spine, and in mere moments, you nod eagerly, tears glistening in your eyes.
"mmph, so good ani!," you whimper, lost in the intoxicating bliss of his touch.
His lips, warm and eager, pepper kisses all along your neck, while his hand boldly grasps at your ass, fingers kneading the flesh with firmness, relishing in its ample curves.
Anakin Skywalker, the epitome of pleasure, satisfies you so profoundly that each withdrawal elicits a fervent whimper from your lips. Fortunately, he shows no inclination to leave your embrace anytime soon, keeping you blissfully consumed by his huge cock, touchin' at your good spot just perfectly.
"you're so unbelievably tight for me, doll," he coos, his words dripping with praise as he drives deeper into you, his pace quickening. Your hands clutch at the bedsheets, your back arching even more as his sweet words fuel your desire.
"oh my fuck," you whimpered, your eyes closing tightly as sensations threatened to overwhelm you.
"that's all you've got to say?" he taunts, his hand delivering a sharp smack to your ass before he grips your neck, his lips hovering just above your ear.
He's talking to you as if you could speak full on sentences with the way he was fucking you, with the way he fucks you, he's too good.
"tell me, baby, does this feel good?" he teases, a devilish glint in his eyes as he mocks your pleasure, a low chuckle rumbling in his throat. All you can manage is a nod and a moan, which only fuels Anakin's desire to dominate you further.
"come on, use that pretty mouth, tell me," he demands, his voice laced with cruelty.
Anakin Skywalker who relentlessly pushes you to the brink until all you can muster are fragmented gasps of pleasure. With each assertive thrust, he claims you anew, pulling back only to tease before delving back in, melding your pussy while his cock is covered in your cum, not daring to put any of it to waste.
His lips find yours, a fleeting taste of heaven before his sultry voice commands your surrender, his awfully filthy words only leading you to make a mess all over him, again.

OBI-WAN KENOBI AND THE LOTH WOLF
Tumblr media
SUMMARY: Obi-Wan Kenobi is gravely injured, crash landed on an unknown planet, and bleeding to death. He has an unexpected encounter with a mysterious creature that gives him a glimpse into the Force. Will Obi-Wan survive or will the Force claim his life?
AKA: Obi-Wan With Animals
Hi there! This is a mini fic that popped into my head one night. Everyone is always talking about Obi-Wan’s connection with animals, and I’ve never written anything that features an animal (other than humans…the most dangerous animal of all LOL), so I figured I’d do a little experiment. I’m honestly not that happy with how this turned out. It reads to me like my brain was exhausted when I wrote it…which it was. But I figured I’d still share it because why not. I hope you enjoy!
Trigger warnings: graphic depictions of injuries, blood, whump
Rating: mature
——————–
Obi-Wan Kenobi was covered in his own blood, an occurrence that had become far too common during this war.
His starfighter was completely dead, not even a flicker of power remaining in the cockpit consul. But he could hear liquid running through the metal skeleton that was twisted around him. If any oil or coolant reached the exposed power cell, he would burn to death or be vaporized by a single white flash. Depending on how badly the power cell is damaged and how exposed the core is, he thought sardonically.
He had to get away from the ship, that much was clear, but getting his body out of the crushed vehicle was the real challenge. By now, he was fairly certain his right leg was broken, as was his right hand. The starfighter’s starboard welding and rivets had popped like a balloon as he ripped into the planet’s atmosphere, sending shrapnel through his entire right side. Blood seeped down his bicep, forearm, and abdomen as he pushed off what remained of the ship’s shattered canopy. He managed to pull himself up but instantly felt lightheaded.
Peering down at the dry, grassy earth below he thought, There’s no graceful way to do this. The distance to the ground was far enough to hurt. He gingerly hoisted his less-injured side over the fuselage’s edge before artlessly sliding over the wreckage.
Obi-Wan hit the ground hard, crying out in pain as his body gave out under him. He gasped, realizing that his breath was more of a wet wheeze, cold agony blooming across his entire body. His last mirky thought before he lost consciousness was that he was in serious trouble.
Tumblr media
——————–
When his eyes eventually blinked open, the sun was lower, casting a brilliant splash of pastel colors across the horizon. Several moments passed before he realized where he was and how he’d gotten there. He’d been hurtling through hyperspace in his Delta-7 starfighter when his hyperspace ring malfunctioned, instantly dropping him into the orbit of a large, pale planet. He’d had enough presence of mind to smash the button on his distress beacon while disengaging the hyperspace ring before plummeting into the atmosphere at a steep glide path that caused his hull to rupture, sending him into a sickening righthanded flat spin. Obi-Wan nearly dislocated all his fingers correcting the yaw; his starboard power was shorting in and out, making it nearly impossible to recover. He managed to regain control over downward momentum just in time to pull the fighter’s nose up and slide into the ground at a violent velocity, breaking both side fins, his R-4 unit, and his own collar bone.
It’s a miracle I survived, he thought, remembering the deafening shriek of metal and rumble of disrupted earth as his spacecraft smashed to a stop.
Now, laying near the destroyed ship, Kenobi finally took a moment to noticed the surrounding tall, straw-like grass, swaying over head in a gentle breeze. So beautiful. He thought the tapered tips looked like calligraphy brushes, painting across the sun-streaked sky.
A sweet smell teased his nose, causing his exhausted brain to think about wild flowers.
His eyes suddenly opened wide as his consciousness became alert. Sweet? Not flowers. Sweet is coolant. He twisted his head to look up over his shoulder. There, trickling into the grass next to smears of his own blood, was a large puddle of highly flammable coolant.
Instantly, he was frantically crawling away, dragging his broken body through the tall grass, crying out in constant pain and leaving a trail of blood in his wake. He pulled himself as far as he could with one functioning arm until he lacked the strength to go any further. Obi-Wan collapsed into the aromatic soil, moaning. He managed to maneuver onto his side so he could breathe, then he just laid there, fighting back waves of agony that washed over him.
He hoped his distress beacon had a chance to emit long enough for the Jedi temple to receive it. If not, he most certainly would die in this desolate place. Kenobi hadn’t been able to see much of his surroundings, but he knew he was in an isolated, unpopulated wilderness. He could see the tips of smooth, cone-shaped rock formations peeking up over the grass, but the reeds were too tall for him to see much else. He had no clue what planet he was on, nor what sector of the galaxy he was in.
For now, he was stranded.
——————–
Obi-Wan lay in the grass for a long time, drifting in and out of consciousness, when a powerful presence suddenly appeared in the Force, rousing him from his restlessness. He held his breath, alert and fearful. The scent of his blood had undoubtedly attracted this creature’s attention. Whether predator or no, whatever approached was stealthy, large, and had a strong Force signature. As it came closer, he finally made out the sound of its paws in the grass, moving slowly, methodically, taking one careful step at a time.
The night had blossomed and now a full moon hovered low in the sky, casting just enough light to illuminate the magnificent animal that stepped out of the reeds. A huge, black loth wolf with piercing green eyes appeared near Obi-Wan’s feet.
His breath caught in his chest.
Though they were rumored to be extinct, he knew what it was the moment it padded into the moonlight. Even as a boy he had heard tales of their remarkable size and strength, not to mention their potent connection to the Force, but to experience it in person, to have the enormous animal staring him in the eyes was another matter altogether. His fear got the better of him for a moment and he brushed his broken fingers over his lightsaber hilt, contemplating his best defense.
But then his heart softened. Even if he could, he had no right to kill such a noble beast. In fact, he felt the animal might hold a superiority in the Force, an evident neutrality that proved it was more enlightened than he could ever hope to be.
So, whether or not it killed him, he would accept his fate. At least this way his death would be part of a larger, exquisite cycle that was more meaningful than his personal triumphs.
Obi-Wan could not make out the wolf’s full features in the dark, but he could see a stripe of white fur leading from its brow down either side of its snout to the tip of its nose. And there, held in the animal’s powerful jaws, was a small, mewling pup. The she-wolf laid her baby near Kenobi’s feet before slowly sniffing her way up his body. He held his breath, fighting his nerves. Even if the animal meant no harm, how would it react to the blood that continued to seep from his wounds?
She took her time, her large muzzle sniffing him slowly and methodically, pausing occasionally for a moment’s extra inspection before gently snorting and moving on. She hovered over his chest, using her head to roughly push aside his tunics until she could smell his flesh, her cold wet nose moving across his bare chest. He clenched his teeth against the pain it caused him, allowing the wolf to continue her inspection. He knew enough about canines to understand this was her way of evaluating if he was a threat to her and her pup.
Finally, she hovered directly over his face, her leathery nose sniffing his lips for a very long time. Obi-Wan did his best to remain calm while her giant canines glinted in the moonlight. Those teeth could easily rip him to shreds if she decided to use them. He tried to project through the Force that though he was a powerful being, he was no threat. He wanted her to understand that he was wounded but he was not weak.
She snorted in his face and shook her thick scruff, then stepped toward the wreckage to investigate the starfighter.
Obi-Wan breathed a temporary sigh of relief. At least he had passed the first inspection.
I must be on Lothal, he thought, for the loth wolf was native to that outer rim planet. He reevaluated the grasslands surrounding him. These must be the Lothal plains. He watched as the animal moved back toward him. “And you,” he said, offering his hand for her to sniff, his voice quiet and soothing, “are supposed to be extinct.” She gave his knuckle a little lick.
Tumblr media
Then, without warning, she put her face right in his and their eyes locked. For a long time Obi-Wan couldn’t breathe, couldn’t blink; he simply stared into those penetrating green irises.
He felt her through the Force, as though every inch of her energy wrapped around him. She was controlled and calm, yet fearsome. She had lived many years and would live many more; she had no need to hurry. She existed within nature’s cycle, completely instinctual. Obi-Wan became profoundly aware that humans had drifted regrettably far from any natural cycle. This loth wolf, her fearlessness and her peace, was the essence of life. Obi-Wan suddenly understood that her balance was the state all living beings wished for, but things like greed and a desire to control corrupted this innate ability. He surprised himself when he realized he felt like he might cry; he was both grateful for the enlightenment and in awe of his own lack of balance compared to this beautiful creature.
“Jedi.”
Obi-Wan gasped.
Her voice was raspy, gravely like an ancient god who only spoke aloud once a millennium.
He reached a shaking hand toward her mane and gently stroked her ruff. “You can speak?” he asked breathlessly.
She gave his nose a small lick, then moved away. Kenobi could not believe his eyes when she, picking up her pup by its scruff, placed it softly on his chest. It was fluffy and warm, slowly squirming uncoordinatedly from side to side until Obi-Wan cupped his left hand over its back. The baby settled under his touch and let out an distractingly adorable sigh, which is why he didn’t notice the mother stepping behind his head until she forced her nose beneath the back of his neck and, placing her razor-sharp teeth through his many layers of clothing, began dragging him backwards through the tall grass.
Obi-Wan ground his teeth, biting back a scream as his injuries were jostled. He clutched the pup closer to his chest, determined to hold it safely despite his own agony.
The movement was unbearable.
“Please,” he finally gasped out, “please stop.”
But she did not. The wolf carried on, steadily pulling him through the brush.
His wounds opened further and blood covered his right side.
Breathing became harder and harder.
He could no longer hold back his misery; Obi-Wan cried out with every movement, but still the wolf did not stop.
Finally, after what felt like an eternity, they broke free of the tall grass and came out on dry dusty soil. Obi-Wan had nearly lost consciousness but he still kept a firm grip on the pup that was now tucked inside his outer tunic’s left fold. He had pushed it there to keep it out of his blood and to keep it safe should he pass out. The she-wolf continued to drag him backward over the open ground at a much faster pace.
All of a sudden, the night turned bright as day when a white flash erupted in the grassy plain, followed by an orange fireball as Kenobi’s starfighter exploded. They stopped to watch red flames lick up into the dark sky, the Jedi’s eyes huge with shock. The loth wolf had saved his life. If she had listened to his pleas, if she had stopped when he begged her to, they would have perished in the blaze that now burned rapidly through the dry grass. He looked into her wise eyes, so weak he could barely breathe. “Thank you,” he gasped.
She nodded before taking his tunic in her teeth again.
“Must we keep going?” he queried, his voice almost desperate.
She grunted, carrying on with her tiring task.
Kenobi acknowledged that she had already proven her wisdom. He was at her mercy and must allow her to continue doing what was best for him, even if he didn’t understand.
Faith, he thought before bumping over a rough rock sent a jolt through his leg that was so painful he mercifully lost consciousness.
——————–
This time, when he awoke, Kenobi instantly remembered where he was because the wolf-pup was still curled on his chest. When his body stirred for the first time in many hours, the baby let out another sigh before pressing its tiny head under his chin along his neck. He could feel the animal’s heart beat in his chest. He focused on the sensation for a while, living in the moment, blocking out all awareness other than this innocent lifeform.
Eventually, he turned his head in search of the mother and spotted her pacing the distant grass line as though on patrol. “Is she standing guard?” Obi-Wan asked the pup, whose only response was a few sweet squeaks.
What Kenobi would never know, for he could no longer move his body enough to take in his surroundings, was that the loth wolf had dragged him to the Lothal Jedi temple. She had carefully placed him on the great circular seal where the temple could be opened using the Force. Obi-Wan’s blood had slowly spread across the insignia, covering a large section of the symbol, and was absorbing into the sandy, porous stone.
Tumblr media
From where Kenobi lay, all he could see was a large, cone-like rock formation reaching up into the blue sky. The sun shone overhead but he shivered with cold. Every inch of his body ached and he could no longer move any part of his right side. He was either too stiff or too weak to even wiggle his toes. He tried to ignore the quiet voice in the back of his head that said all of these things indicated death was near.
Obi-Wan gently stroked the pup’s fur and let his chin rest on its tiny head. If he was going to die in this place, at least the Force had sent these unexpected comforts.
The she-wolf padded up beside the prone Jedi and watched him with intelligent eyes.
He turned to her. “Thank you for trusting me with your child,” he said, his teeth chattering.
The wolf walked around him, then stretching her front paws down by his head, she lay on the ground beside him, pressing her back against his left side. Her warmth radiated into his sore body and her aura calmed him. If he had the strength, he might have cried. Her compassion moved him deeply; he felt the kindness was more than he deserved. It made him hope that he’d shown kindness like this to another living creature at some point in his life. If I somehow survive this, he thought, I vow to be a better man.
The Force heard him, read his oath marked in blood across its sacred seal, and instantly chose Obi-Wan Kenobi as protector of the Light Side. The Force had provided him with a guardian loth wolf, and now it would go one step further.
——————–
A large balefire burned in the seal’s center, spraying sparks into the night like glitter.
Obi-Wan stood and moved toward it, warming his hands.
The temperature was frigid, a scent of snow lingering in the air.
“Master Obi-Wan.”
Kenobi looked up, startled by the deep, rich feminine voice.
A woman stepped from behind the fire and came toward him. Or was she a wolf? He wasn’t quite sure.
“Welcome,” she said, a gentle smile revealing her sharp teeth.
“Who are you?” Obi-Wan asked in awe.
“I’m Enaid,” she replied, gesturing at something behind the Jedi.
He followed her gaze and what he saw nearly stopped his heart. There, laying on the ground, he saw himself, the pup in his arms, the mother pressed along his side.
Dread took hold of him. “Am I dead?” he finally managed to ask Enaid.
She placed a calming hand on his forearm. “Not yet. But you could be very soon. You are nearing the in between world. Once you cross into it, you may never return to this world.”
Obi-Wan had no idea what she was talking about. He blinked at her, dumbfounded, looking back and forth between Enaid and the she-wolf. Something suddenly clicked into place in his mind. “Are you her?” he whispered.
She nodded. “I am her and she is me.”
Enaid took him by the arm and led him toward the cone-shaped Jedi temple. “Our time here is short, so I’ll get on with my task if you don’t mind. The Force has asked me to give you a message. You must make a choice, Obi-Wan.” She maneuvered him in front of a stone wall and as she spoke it dissolved, revealing a portal into a truly unusual place. “This is the World Between Worlds. If you wish, the Force will allow you to cross into it and travel to a new place where you will find a heightened level of enlightenment. Or you can choose to stay here and continue your work as a standard bearer for the Light Side of the Force.” Her hands were clamped softly on his arms, and now she squeezed him. “You will find your way to this enlightened place whether you choose to go there now or later. The Force has deemed you worthy. But should you choose to stay here, you must know that your life would be fraught with danger and heartbreak.”
Obi-Wan felt the gravity of his decision. “Is my master in this enlightened place?” he asked, his voice low and thoughtful.
“The only way to know is to go there and see for yourself.”
“If I stay here, will I be useful?”
“You will be a servant of the Force, brandishing the Light as a beacon of hope. But it will come at great personal cost.”
Kenobi was nothing if not practical. “A beacon is all well and good, but will I make a difference? Will I actually do some good?”
“More than you may ever realize.”
“But I’m not to know what these heartbreaks are that you speak of?”
“The Force alone knows what they are.”
Obi-Wan took a deep breath, weighing his options. He could move into a new realm and discover who knows what kind of enlightenment. If his experience with the loth wolf was any indication, this new existence would be magnificent and deeply moving. Or he could stay here and finish what he started before moving on. Anakin. Ahsoka. Cody. Rex. Could he just abandon them? Could he abandon the galaxy that he loved?
“I want to be of service to those in need,” he finally said slowly, as though making up his mind. “If it pleases the Force, I would like to remain and continue to do as much good as I can.”
“Very well.” The portal closed and Enaid turned Obi-Wan back toward the fire. “The Force will be ready for you when the time is right.” Her expression became earnest. “Just remember, Master Obi-Wan, even in your darkest moments, the Force is protecting you.”
——————–
His eyes dragged open as the pup squirmed against him, licking and nibbling at his beard. Obi-Wan wasn’t quite sure if he’d just had a dream, a vision, or had actually stepped into another dimension where he’d spoken directly to the loth wolf’s spirit.
“Enaid?” he could barely force the word out of his dry throat.
The loth wolf turned her head around to look at him.
His energy was draining quickly. He had lost too much blood and he could only breath in short little gasps. He was dying, despite what his vision had told him.
“Thank you,” he whispered to her. “Thank you for staying with me until the end.”
She gave his cheek a delicate lick before putting her head down again.
Obi-Wan’s own head fell to the side, his eyes growing heavy as the pauses between his breaths became longer and longer. All he felt was gratitude, for the life he’d lived, for the lessons he’d learned, and now for the simple kindness he’d received. With his last ounce of strength, he pushed his fingers into Enaid’s fur and laid his cheek across her pup’s body.
——————–
Cody and Anakin could see the blood from yards away. When the gunship hovered over the giant, round stone seal and pointed its search lights down at the ground, they could have sworn they saw a large, black creature disappear into the shadows beyond the search light’s edge, but neither could have said exactly what they saw.
The sight from above of Obi-Wan’s enervated body lying in a pool of his own blood was something neither Jedi nor clone would ever forget. When the ship landed, they hit the ground running, each desperate to reach the injured man.
“Obi-Wan!” Anakin shouted as he skidded to his knees next to his friend. “Obi-Wan?” He lay his head on the older Jedi’s chest, listening for breath while Cody examined the extensive wounds.
Shocked by the horrible injuries, the clone commander finally turned to Skywalker. “Is he alive?”
Reaching through the Force Anakin was eventually able to get a read. “Just barely.”
A medic team managed to get Kenobi’s body back to their star destroyer where the doctors commenced several rounds of surgery followed by extensive bacta submersion. Nearly a week passed before Obi-Wan was lucid enough to speak. Anakin could have sworn the Jedi Master’s first word was not spoken in basic. He had mumbled, “Enaid,” before opening his eyes. Kenobi looked extremely surprised to be back on the Republic star destroyer, much less alive.
In fact, over time Obi-Wan wondered if his experience on Lothal hadn’t really happened. He thought perhaps he’d imagined the wolves as a way to explain his survival. Once, he asked Anakin if he’d seen any animals when he landed with Cody in the gunship, but Skywalker had forgotten about the shadow he’d seen. Obi-Wan determined to never speak of the loth wolves to anyone. Whether imagined or not, it had been a moving vision, one that he wanted to keep sacred.
When he was finally released from the medical ward nearly three weeks after being rescued, he made his way back to his private quarters. There, on his bed, was a set of tattered yet freshly-laundered Jedi robes. He picked them up and turned them over in his hands. They were ruined, despite the deep cleaning they had undergone. Blood stains spread down the garment’s right side. “Why did they bother keeping these?” Obi-Wan wondered aloud. They were clearly not something he could ever wear again.
As he turned them over in his hands, a finger slipped into a hole near the nape of the neck. The Jedi’s heart began to pound as he quickly opened the tunic all the way and held it up to the light. Four large holes were rent through the fabric along the back of the neck, right where Enaid had sunk her teeth to drag Obi-Wan to safety. He suddenly felt deeply happy, as he now knew she was real. The Force had truly saved him. To what end, he did not yet know. But now he’d be able to face every challenge with the certainty that he served a greater purpose. The loth wolf and her pup had saved his life, but the bigger gift they’d given this Jedi was freedom from doubt.

How did Obi-Wan not notice the thing with R2D2?? And what if he did?
Obi-Wan: We need to talk about your issues with attachment. Anakin: ::panicking, thinking Obi-Wan's found out about his marriage:: You had a relationship with Satine Kryze! Obi-Wan: … And Ki-Adi-Mundi is married. Jedi can have relationships, Anakin. We've talked about this. Anakin: … I think I would have remembered that.
[Many many past conversations: Obi-Wan: ::lecturing:: Attachment… the code… meditation. Anakin: ::busy tinkering:: Yes, yes, master. Whatever you say, master. Obi-Wan: This is fine. This absolutely will not come back to bite me in the ass later.]
Obi-Wan: Regardless, we need to talk about your attachment issues. Anakin: What issues? You just *said* marriage is okay. Obi-Wan: ::derailed:: What's that about marriage? Anakin: This isn't about me and Padme being married? Obi-Wan: … Obi-Wan: No. Anakin: This is about what I did when my mom died then, isn't it? Obi-Wan: … Anakin: ::getting defensive:: They deserved it! Tuskens are animals. Obi-Wan: ::rubbing his nose:: Anakin. Stop guessing. You're literally making this worse with every word out of your mouth. There happens to be a Tusken Jedi. You've *met* him. Anakin:: ::sheepish:: Oh. So, um, what's this about then? ::finally listening for the first time in the past three years:: Obi-Wan: I came here to talk to you about the salvage operation you ran to rescue R2D2. Anakin: ::puzzled:: Master? You ordered me to go on that mission. Obi-Wan: ::pinching his nose:: Anakin, you do realize that the mission would have been completely unnecessary had you just wiped the droid as per procedure? Anakin: But R2's my buddy. I wouldn't do that to him. Obi-Wan: You got all but two of the men who went with you killed in an attempt to rescue a droid! Anakin: So? I would have done the same for Padme. Or Ahsoka, Obi-Wan: … Obi-Wan: You see no issue in trading sentient lives for an inanimate object. That, Anakin is the very definition of attachment and why you either see a mind healer or go to Jedi jail. Anakin: What? You can't make me see a mind healer! Obi-Wan: You're right. Jedi Jail it is. Anakin: Noooo! I'm gonna tell my good friend the Chancellor on you! Obi-Wan: ::fed-up with everything and feeling both sassy and sarcastic:: Oh, and what's he going to do, order the clones to turn on us and massacre all the Jedi right down to the initiates in the creche? The Force: ::shouting:: YES!!! Obi-Wan:: ::facepalm:: That absolutely came back and bit me in the ass.
Later: Cody: You have a Jedi jail? Obi-Wan: No. Cody: Sir? Obi-Wan: Seemed like a safe bet. ::bitter: He obviously ignored everything else I tried to teach him. Cody: Jedi can marry? Obi-Wan: Yes. Cody: Jedi. As in you. Obi-Wan: As in... Cody: ::suddenly two inches closer:: Obi-Wan: ::squeaking:: Me? Cody: ::smoulders:: Obi-Wan: After the war. Chain of command. Would be inappropriate. Because reasons. Cody: I see.
Two days later: Fox: ::eyeing the assortment of munitions Cody's just laid on his desk, including, but not limited to, slug throwers, thermal detonators, a handful of droid poppers and a rotary cannon:: So you say that the chancellor's a direct threat to the military command of the GAR and that I get to kill him if I agree to mute my external audio pickup and follow your orders? Cody: Yes. Is there a problem? ::looms menacingly:: Fox: ::jumps up:: No takesies backsies! Thorn! Thire! It's Lifeday and Cody's just got us all a present!
~~~
Palps gets wrekt. The Corries have the Best. Day. Ever.
Cody and Obi-Wan swear the riduurok. No one is surprised.
The mind healers ending *building* a Jedi jail just so they don't have to listen to Anakin whine any longer. (R2D2 has the option of joining Anakin. Which, no. C3PO is welcome to that. R2D2 is having none of that shit. Time to head back to his original family -- the handmaidens of Naboo. Who will let him have a little murder. As a treat.)
A happier galaxy where the disaster lineage is somewhat less on fire constantly and senior padawan Obi-wan has developed a fixation on Mandalorians:
Sometimes Feemor regretted just how much he had given away when he had spent 5 expensive months bribing a traumatised Obi-wan to call him brother when he was 14. His dignity, for one, his access codes and shadow cloaking techniques, another. So he had a very dignified reaction when he was awoken to the shine of his younger brother's eyes in the dark at the foot of his bed. "I wou-stop screaming it's just me-I would like a Mandalorian. How do I procure one?"
"How the fuck should I know?"
Obi-wan scowled as if Feemor was being difficult, he wasn't, he wasn't quite awake enough for that yet. "You're a shadow, you're supposed to know things."
Ah, if being a shadow granted you the secrets of the universe instead of just a great many planetary governments, Feemor wouldn't spend so much time wondering what dark rituals Dooku had committed to result in Qui-gon Jinn. (He already knew what regular rituals Qui-gon had committed to result in Obi-wan)
"I know that I'm about to punt you out of my room right now."
"...My birthday is coming up, I believe I deserve compensation for all the traumas."
Obi-wan's eyes were very big now. Feemor sighed. He flopped back down into bed. He resisted the urge to pull his blankets back up and roll over. 'Oh sure when it's time to see mind healers everything's fine but now-'
"Shouldn't you be asking Master then?"
"Master would not approve of how I plan to use the Mandalorian."
He squinted at Obi-wan for a long moment. Obi-wan stared back. He did some quick mental maths and tried not to feel old. Eh. Fine. Feemor swung his legs out of bed. "You had me at 'Master wouldn't approve'."
"Do you think I could get one by walking into little Keldabe and asking very nicely?"
As it turns out, yes he could. A few too many in fact, apparently Jedi, their ancestral enemy, in the Mando district attracted attention, who knew? Feemor knew, Feemor would have known if only he had been properly awake when this semblence of a plan was proposed. He stalked through the cantina towards Obi-wan who was leaning slightly forwards against a pillar, ah...speaking, to a Mandalorian with painted orange armour while surrounded by a larger crowd of Mandos. At least they seem mostly amused. He ignored the youngers squawk as he yanked the back of his robes so that he moved away from the Mandalorian and spun him around.
"You cannot solve centuries of animosity by batting your eyelashes."
"I'm not batting my eyelashes " Obi-wan sniffed," I'm shaking my ass, there's decidedly more effort involved."
"I miss when I was an only child." Feemor sighed deeply. He used the force to scruff the neck of Obi-wan's robes and dangle him slightly in the air. He ignored the shouting from beside him and bowed politely to the staring Mandos. "My apologies for the disturbance, this will not happ-" He considered his brother who was now yelling out his personal comm code with a wink. " Please excuse us, this very probably will happen again, we shall workshop it. May the force be with you all."
I don't have a fully planned AU but it is Codywan!!! cause I love those bitches but have some more dialogue I came up with for this AU. I'm imagining them both as like 20-23, Obi's close to knighthood. He's still a padawan for this because I think him causing Qui-gon headaches is funny. Feemor fully thinks this complicated courtship dance Obi's created is funny, he likes studying his little brother like a bug, he just wasn't prepared for him to just waltz into little kelbade and start hitting on people, though he really should have been.
Hand wavy timeline with Jaster alive but the clones are still clones, Jango was kidnapped and held in stasis or something, Jaster claimed them as Mandos. This is really just about Obi's first and biggest diplomatic achivement being friendly Jedi-Mando relations purely cause he was in his thot era. This also somehow saves the galaxy from the sith.
I like to imagine that Cody's brothers recorded that little exchange between Fee and Obi on their helmets and uploaded it online where it went viral on MandoNet before going viral galaxywide because wait holy shit is that a Jedi saying that????. Qui-gon gets called in for a very weird meeting where the council's like ok so the entire holonet has seen your padawan being horny on main but also this is like the biggest jump in our diplomatic relationship with the Mandos in centuries so like can we keep this up somehow? This results in Obi-wan being holonet famous, first through vode recordings but then he starts a space tumblr and twitter account and he's famous now. Then his friends and other jedi start accounts because wait we're allowed to do that? and those become big as well and this is literally the best PR the jedi have had in hundreds of years. the holonet loves them. the sith are fuming.
Obi-wan, scoffing: What were they gonna do? Shoot me? Feemor: Yes. Obi-wan: I don't believe in blasters. Bly: ...like as a concept...? Obi-wan: No, spiritually.
Obi-wan: I'm sure there's a nice Mandalorian we can find for you Feemor: I'm not sure those 2 words belong together Obi-wan: No of course not, we can't find a nice one, then they'd be all alone, we need to find an absolute bastard of one so that you two match :)
Obi-wan: Oh so Master gets to take in pathetic life forms but I don't? This one's already domesticated! Wolffe: Debatable. Feemor: Cody's a person! Not a stray tooka! Obi-wan: Master takes in stray people all the time! That's how he got me!
Qui-gon: How do you explain this behaviour Padawan ? Obi-wan: The force pushed me towards the Mandalorians Master, it was quite insistent on me developing better relations with them given our difficult history. Feemor: Fascinating, please do elaborate, I'd love to hear the theological implications of a force-assigned kink.
