This one's a real interesting prompt because I overthink this a lil too much - but here’s what I have for this year's KaiShin One Prompt Challenge!

Please do check out how everyone has gone about with the prompt at @dcmkkaishinevents! And once again, thank you mac for organising it!

Thoughts on it under the cut!

Right. Okay. I really struggled with this one. Not only in terms of time constrains (it's been a really busy time) but also because the prompt is reaallllly interesting. Like super interesting that I just jumped onto to join the event because I wanted to challenge myself (been in a slump lately and this prompt was screaming at me) and I was latching on real hard to something here:

Shinichi and Kaito look alike. So alike that Kaito has gotten mistaken as Shinichi before, and he has used it to his advantage too.

How do I use the prompt, while also remembering that they would look the same? I thought about going the crack route, as seen below:

Kaito: He is, unfortunately, very handsome ??: ... don't you guys look exactly the same? [Narcissist much?] K: oh. Right

But I wasn't up for it. I tried thinking about the idea of one of them looking like an absolute dork (affectionately), and then the line - but it kept feeling wrong to me, because I feel like that would be attractiveness. Handsome is too much of a physical word for me.

As Faith (@indelibleme) says, "this prompt is more for the "damn he's hot" type of vibe lol" - which is absolutely true.

So it's something about the physical appearance. Or at least that's what I want to focus on. But they look the same. (Kinda. You get the idea)

And then, it hit me. What if we make it so that Kaito likes Shinichi - everything from his intelligence to his appearance, and it's not because he looks like Kaito - he doesn't feel attracted to himself duh - but it's because it's how Shinichi looks. Kaito just happens to look like him. And is pining after him in the mirror.

Like. Does that even make sense? Probably. I don't know And right after that thought, I had that image of Kaito looking at the mirror and seeing Shinichi.

AND THEN THAT ONE FIC THAT POPPED UP IN MY HEAD KEPT REVOLVING IN MY HEAD WHENEVER I THINK OF THIS BECAUSE IT IS ABSOLUTELY NAILING IT I JUST HAD TO HUNT IT DOWN AGAIN yea. Here's the link to it: the only victim of these innocent crimes (is me) by dytabytes - it's an explicit fic so 18+ only and please read the tags and summary. I guess this drawing is an ode to that fic because when I went back to reread it, the premise really hit all the right spots.

Anyways, again, Kaito and Shinichi has their similarities, and they also have differences. This is just one route I went and m quite happy with what I have.

There was going to be an exposition and conclusion that used the prompt more explicitly, featuring the crack portion, before what I have - but time and energy. I am lacking of them.

Zoomies are contagious for this man. When you start sprinting around your shared apartment for absolutely no apparent reason, he questions nothing and joins you.

As much as he finds it amusing to sit back and watch you run around like a toddler, he feels the childish longing to join you bubbling up inside him.

When you crash into things? He crashes into them too! You’ll clean later, for now, he’s perfectly content to copy your strange antics.

However, he can only last so long running around like a lunatic. He will be worn out by the end of your spree!

“Bella, how are you still going? I feel like I’m going to die…”

You halted your movements and peered down amused at your heaving boyfriend, strewn out clumsily on your sofa.

“Aw, can’t keep up Samu’?” You teasingly muttered against your lover’s lips, much too close to escape without being gripped firmly and ambushed with kisses.

“Haha! Leave me alone!” You giggled at the ticklish feeling of his lips teasing all around your face.

“So long as you stay here with me and stop giving yourself whiplash~”

You giggled again. “For you.”

Oh my god, not a day goes by where you don’t severely decrease the concentration of braincells in this man’s head.

When suddenly begin to dart around his million dollar apartment with seemingly zero spacial nor social awareness, you actually stun him.

Jaw dropped, eyes switching from wide to squinted every few seconds, completely and utterly speechless.

What the fuck were you doing?? This man loves you with every fibre of his being, every inch of his soul— however, sometimes you really do make him question if you were, well, okay.

When he gets over his initial shock, he shakes his head and pretends it never happened. He may chuckle and call you something along the lines of ‘damn weirdo’, but he really does love you and your oddness!

Your heavy breaths are all that can be heard throughout the room, hands on your hips in attempt to allow more oxygen into your lungs.

“Ah! I’m so tired, what are you drink— Why are you looking at me like that?”

You finally take notice of your boyfriend’s humorously perplexed stare, and shake your head at his expression.

“What on earth was that?!”

“What was what?”

Chuuya blink twice and lets his head fall back, allowing a mix of a groan and a laugh to escape his lips.

“Forget about it.”

Fyodor tends to allow you to do your thing in these situations.

He understands you aren’t looking for attention, your nerves are just going haywire. So long as you don’t break anything or kill anyone (anyone important, at least), he is perfectly content with carrying on with his work and leaving you to your devices.

That is, until you do break something.

The torment you put this man through is humorous, considering his occupation and life goals. He prays he may live one day without something happening.

“What, exactly, am I looking at?”

You look down at the shattered vase on the floor, and let out a shaky laugh. A laugh that was more of a ‘shit! I am in trouble’ rather than a ‘this is very funny’.

“Urm. Well, I sort of crashed into the table. And then, it kind of, very much fell off and shattered.”

A moment that was much too long for you liking passed by painfully. You shuffled from foot to foot, and placed you gaze anywhere but your lovers face. It was not in Fyodor’s nature to feel empathy, but he didn’t care about the vase. And he supposed it would be a hassle to deal with you in an apologetic and guilty state…

“It is fine, I didn’t care for it much. Though, please refrain from destroying any more of my ceramics when you continue… doing whatever you were doing.”

“I will try. And it’s called ‘zoomies’!”

“….Right.”

"Many other characters try to read into what he does and says, looking for deeper or different meanings but it's always revealed that he means exactly what he says every single time and the butt of the jokes is always the other characters for being dramatic and presumptuous, not Doug for being autistic. Also he's the mean autistic representation we deserve."

"I mean come on, it’s Purson. He thinks he’s really good at talking to people but most of his conversations (at least at the start) are completely one sided. He just blurts out whatever he’s thinking and completely dominates the conversation (if you can call it that). I love him so much for it, I have a really hard time figuring out when I should just stop talking and let someone else have a turn and only tend to realize after he fact that I didn’t really let anyone else get a word in and feel really bad. But the way Purson communicates is never shown to be a bad thing it’s a bit awkward at times but that just how he is and the rest of the misfit class live him for it. I think I could go on all day about how wonderfully inclusive Iruma-Kun is it’s such a good series, also in my brain Balam, Kalego, Clara and Opera are on the 4 outer points of an x-y graph that represents the autism spectrum. Everyone else fills the blanks in between. His bloodline magic is ‘detection warding’ and for the first several arcs of the manga the rest of the class didn’t even know he was there."

"In one sentence: Katai considers the titular Komi-san a communication master. Katai looks like a brutal thug, but he's actually extremely shy. Shy enough that after missing a couple weeks of class, it takes him months to build up the confidence to go to school. Katai tries to make friends once he does go to school, but he can't hold a conversation and doesn't realize that his mumbled half-sentences and resting bastard face make it look like he's threatening people. He's also pretty bad at reading the room, which is why he interprets Komi's behavior as a communication master trying to guide him from afar rather than a kindred spirit also struggling to hold a conversation."

Okay, let's start with the definition.

Emotional Intelligence (EI) is the ability to manage both your own emotions and understand the emotions of those around you. There are five key elements to EI: self-awareness, self-regulation, motivation, empathy, and social skills.

Sirius has very good self-regulation. When people say he can’t control himself, come on, he controls himself incredibly well for someone who’s been through hell in his life! 12 years in Azkaban! Sirius has remarkable self-regulation and willpower! Yes, he’s overconfident, especially in his youth, but his self-regulation and motivation are strong.

He’s also good with self-awareness and social skills. He has a great understanding of boundaries. And he was quite popular at school. He definitely doesn’t try to be a pleasant person, but people still find him appealing. I think he knows how to communicate respectfully when he’s not trying to demean.

As for empathy... He very well understands how his words can hurt, he clearly sees people’s weaknesses and hits right there. This requires understanding another person’s emotions. He also knows how to love, care, and is very respectful even towards animals.

However, young Sirius is quite cruel. It seems that while he understands everything well, he lacks compassion for those he doesn’t respect much. This partly stems from his youthful arrogance, because after Azkaban, he tones down his pride and interacts with people much more politely than he did at school.

It's hard for me to call him very empathetic, but at the same time, I can't call him unempathetic. (At the same time, Remus is usually called very empathetic, but Remus also has issues with empathy).

Moreover, Sirius, and all the Marauders, were outsmarted by Peter. Sirius, because of his arrogance, lack of deep respect for Peter, but likely forming an attachment to him as "the weakest" (probably akin to how he related to animals), who was always there and so on, couldn’t imagine that Peter might and was ready to betray James. He failed to see that Peter's adoration wasn’t that sincere. Meanwhile, he suspected Remus, again, because he simply respected Remus more, considering him more capable, more competent, possessing agency.

That is, Sirius deprived Peter of agency, considering him an attachment to James, always there, loyal and devoted.

Peter turned out to be more cunning in this regard and knew how to manipulate. As often happens, it's exactly such people who can worm their way into trust because they know how to present themselves as poor and miserable, trying every time to find a warmer and softer spot to settle into. Peter is an utterly despicable character with not an ounce of dignity or respect for himself or others.

So... Yes, according to all the aspects, Sirius had high emotional intelligence, but empathy wasn't his strongest suit.

You know what suddenly occurred to me? So we all know Michael has a move for red carpet pics that he has learned from David Frost. We saw the extreme version of it with David at NTAs,how he whispered stuff to him to make him feel comfortable and then burst out laughing which made David chuckle as well, he made David's whole mood lighter and less tense, even for his solo ones, hence those brilliant pics. ( I think DT nicked this from him, he showed a similar thing with GT's PR at BAFTAs.) He also did a milder version of this in The Way Premium with his cast members. ( Again, he did this in short clips of photoshoots for Radio 2.) What gets to me is how seems to forget his tricks around AL. She always looks tense and super uncomfortable with cameras( despite pursuing a modelling career.) on red carpet with her, Michael suddenly stiffens and looks drained out of his usual playfulness and charm, which is very OOC for him. He is not only refusing to play along, but also actively showing resistance towards her to the point that you can't tell it's the same person with her. I can't imagine how disappointed he must have been for his "fans" to ignore his efforts and stick to their fairytales.

Yep, I’ve noticed that too. It’s just yet another thing he does for other people but it’s missing for AL.

I am going to take it to a very basic level. Story time!

My friend had a boyfriend who was doing exactly what MS does - showing his unhappiness, taking miserable selfies, finding reasons to be anywhere but alone with her, not helping, being dismissive…

Everyone could see there was something wrong.

Soon enough he got busted that he had someone on the side. He simply wanted her to break up with him because then he wouldn’t be the ass so he acted his worst to make her snap.

I still have him on socials. You wouldn’t believe it… but he’s the most attentive, sweetest thing with that girl he had on the side that’s now… married to him. He spent years with my friend never popping the question, but got married within a year to the other one.

From my general knowledge regarding relationships and… life 😂 my loose guess is that Michael is hoping she’d let him go. Because if she does, situation with kids will be easier. Because she was meant to, hence the whole PR so she’d get the modelling job and the PR that clearly ended with BAFTAs from which she was excluded - she was meant to be gone by then but started suddenly clinging openly to MS instead because the job never happened. Or maybe she’s just for show so he can keep on talking about his real partner and about how hot he is, and brilliant, and how he sets him on fire fairly regularly, and how he’s in love and loves him… without a problem, because his fans will always say haha well it’s obviously a joke because he has a girlfriend.

A cover wouldn’t surprise me, hoping she’d drop him wouldn’t surprise me. Them just having simply a bit of a shite relationship wouldn’t surprise me. Heck knows. But we know how MS acts with people he adores. Just look at him and DT.

A happy man doesn’t act like he does with his official partner.

pairing: gohan x fem!reader

warnings: mentions of reader's past abusive relationship, gohan's anger

A ping breaks the amicable silence between you and Gohan, and you groan at the realization it's your phone that's gone off. Gohan absentmindedly rubs your thigh as he continues staring at the bright light of his laptop screen as he works and your eyes flick to the message on your phone instead of the raunchy comedy on the television.

I miss you

"Ugh." You grumble under your breath. Your ex, once again. Lately he's taken to messaging you, not just through your phone number but even social media outlets. Ignoring him hasn't been working; he just keeps trying!

Please leave me alone.

You silence your phone and tuck it between the couch cushions, wrapping your arms around Gohan's and focusing on the movie again. He kisses your hair sweetly, resting his head on yours and watching as a naked man on the screen emerges from the trunk of a car and begins beating up three men with a crowbar. "What on earth are you watching?" He chuckles, perplexed but entertained anyway.

"A dumb movie." The murmur is sour on your lips— every time that bastard of an ex messages you, your mood turns. Where someone finds the nerve to harass their ex after the way they treated them in the relationship, you've got zero idea.

"You alright?" He murmurs in your ear and sets aside his laptop to turn his body your way.

"Yeah, yeah." You nod quickly. "Don't worry. Just… Watch the movie with me?"

"Of course." Gohan's smile is so damn pure; he loves you so much, and that's exactly why you love him just as much. He builds you up, telling you he loves you every day, listening to your boring workday stories, complimenting you even when you look a hot mess first thing in the morning. He's never left anything but a good mark on you, never ever caused one bad day.

Gohan and the movie are quick in breaking your downward spiral, and you cuddle into your lover just a little closer, grinning ear-to-ear when his lips press against your cheek.

I'm sorry for everything. I've changed, just let me prove it to you

A low growl leaves your throat as you read the text. Bastard left you alone for one day! Instead of the rest of your damn life! Your thumbs tap quickly against the screen and you send the message with a huff, shoving your phone in your back pocket as you resume working; it's a busy evening at the rowdy Texas-themed restaurant you work at, and you've certainly got no time to text a shitty man.

I will never go back to you. Leave me alone!

The evening goes by quickly, your shift just about over as you're collecting your tip from your most recent table when there's a tap on your shoulder. And when you turn, it's none other than that bastard that literally left you for dead staring you in the eye. He's grown his hair out and started shaving, and in those green eyes you see images of the past— the way he berated you, cheated on you, beat you and then drained your joint account of all the money and skipped town when he left you.

"Babe-" He begins, and you gasp sharply and step away as if burned by his very voice alone.

"I am not your babe. Leave me alone!" You nearly drop the wad of cash in your hand as you scurry away to the employee lounge and call your boyfriend.

Gohan answers immediately, the angel. "Hey baby, are you off work already?"

"Yes." You fiddle with the hem of your shirt, hoping your voice isn't shaking like your hands.

"I'm on my way. See you in five!"

"See you." You quickly tap the red button and rub your face. Hopefully your ex is gone by the time Gohan comes.

Gohan makes the quick drive between home and the restaurant in record time, and walks in as always to come and walk you to the car himself. He's done that ever since you took this job, as it's simply a gentlemanly thing to do, and also because who knows who's lurking in the shadows at this time of night? You're far too precious to him to go unguarded, so to speak.

He smiles and looks around, black hair wild as always after a research binge. Some of your coworkers wave and he waves back politely, smiling still. He can't remember the last time he's felt this happy all the time, at peace even during the most frustrating days at work. You've brought a balance to his life he can never thank you for enough.

"D'ya know where she is?" Gohan asks, and one of the blonde waitresses moves in closer to speak in a whisper.

"She ran to the break room, I'll go get her… And I'm not for sure, but that guy over there seems like trouble and won't give anyone his order or anything. We were just about to ask our manager to call the police and have him removed."

"Hmm…" Gohan looks over, the days of his vigilante justice flashing briefly in his mind when he gets a look at the man. Gohan doesn't love to judge, but the vibes of the man alone raise the hairs on the back of his neck. "Can I go with you to retrieve her?"

"Yeah, absolutely." The waitress nods and takes Gohan to the back where the lounge is, opening the door and allowing him in, leaving the two of you in private.

"Honey?" Gohan asks carefully. Something is definitely wrong, at this point. You're curled into a ball with your head tucked into your knees; and if he's not mistaken, it sounds like you're crying.

Dear Lord, forgive me if I have to fuck someone up tonight.

You sniff and look up at the light of your life— and subsequently surge into his arms as he gets closer to you.

"Baby…" Gohan murmurs, holding you in those deceptively strong arms. He's got every bit the look of a typical nerd, but underneath those clothes lie a very strong, durable Saiyan that should maybe train more than he does these days, but is still plenty strong enough to beat many, many foes. Especially human ones. "What's wrong?"

"M-My ex, Tyler, won't leave me alone." You sob into his shirt. "He keeps texting me and I tried ignoring him and I tried telling him to leave me alone but it didn't work and now he's here and-" Another sob breaks out and you lose your words, but Gohan's got more than enough information now.

"Is he that man sitting out there?" He murmurs lowly, body beginning to tense with adrenaline.

"Yes." You pull back and wipe your eyes, looking into Gohan's. "I'm sorry I didn't-"

"No, no." He says quickly. "You have nothing to apologize for. Not one single thing."

"But I didn't tell-"

"That doesn't matter, baby. You stay here— I'm gonna go talk to him."

"Gohan!" Your fingers curl into his white Henley shirt, holding him to you as best as you can. "You can't just…"

His warm hands cradle your face, swiping away your remaining tears with his thumbs. He looks at you as if you're a netherite ingot— the most valuable thing he could ever have. "I'm just going to talk to him. Okay?"

You falter, taking a deep breath. Of course your ex isn't scary at all to Gohan; he could obliterate the piece of shit with a single snap. And you know what lurks beneath Gohan's surface— the rage of the great beast within sometimes seems to buzz just beneath his skin. That alone should send your ex running.

"Okay."

Gohan smiles gently and kisses your lips so sweetly, so lovingly. "I'll be right back, okay? And then we'll go home and snuggle."

Your smile is hard for Gohan to break away from, but the memory of your tears anytime a nightmare arose that featured the man you used to be with is enough to pull him away from your arms and out to the table your ex is at, his back to Gohan's approach. Gohan sneers, the tingle of Super Saiyan crawling up his spine and he has to will it away as he firmly grasps the back of your former boyfriend's neck, leaning down to speak directly into his ear.

"Step outside with me. Now."

"Who the hell-" Tyler stops short when he turns his head and sees the fury in Gohan's eyes.

"Son Gohan." The half-Saiyan spits out. "Let's go." He practically drags Tyler out of the booth, his hold on his neck still strong. With just a simple squeeze, he could end this man's life as he'd nearly ended yours, and the beast on his shoulder yearns for it.

But he promised you he would only talk it out, and he'd certainly never break a promise he made to you.

Gohan releases Tyler when they're outside and at the perimeter of the parking lot, pushing him a short distance away. "Do you think harassing my girlfriend is going to do you any favors?"

"I'm not harassing-"

"She's asked you several times to leave her alone. And yet, you don't listen. What do you call it?"

Tyler's fists clench and god the fury inside of Gohan is hard to contain. This person, the one that tore you down to nothing stands before him, and words could never express the desires his primal, Saiyan blood has in the face of this cruel man. He's a threat to you, the one Gohan loves and will protect with his life, if needed.

Gohan speaks again before your ex even has the chance. "I love that woman with everything I've got. She means everything to me." He fishes a small box out of his pocket, opening it and showing Tyler the beautiful ring inside. "This is hers; it's just waiting for me to ask the question."

"Me and her have history, and if she would just hear me out-"

Gohan laughs rather menacingly, carefully putting the ring box back into his jeans pocket and stepping closer to your ex. "You still don't get it. She's with me now, Tyler, and she's happy."

"She was happy with me too."

"I don't doubt that she was at some point." Gohan shrugs. "Until you cheated on her, abused her emotionally and physically, and left her for dead in that old apartment."

Tyler blanches, as if he stupidly didn't expect Gohan to have the nitty gritty details. And that's when Gohan grabs him by his shirt so forcefully, pulling him close and ripping his glasses off his own face so he can truly look the scumbag in the eye.

"This is the only warning you get from me. Eye-to-eye, man-to-man. Leave my girl alone, and you won't have any problems. Understand?" Gohan growls, the inner beast screaming at him to destroy this man, to not even leave a corpse behind. He doesn't deserve to live, it calls. He hurt her, it reminds.

"I'm not fuckin' scared-"

With a roar, Gohan releases Tyler's shirt and instead slams his fist into one of the nearby trees, splintering it to hell as it's ripped clean in half by the single punch. The nerve of this fucking guy! Gohan glances over his shoulder as the rest of the tree falls to the ground, and he can't fight the smirk on his lips when he sees the coward running for the hills.

"Guess I made my point."

Gohan wipes away any pieces of wood from his clothes, pulling a splinter from his hand and grimacing lightly at the scratches. They don't hurt, but they'll worry you. He jogs quickly into the restaurant again, and smiles when he sees you're out of the break room and sitting at a table with that same coworker from before.

"Hey!" He greets you with a swift kiss. "Ready to go?"

"Yes." You nod and perk a brow, but wait until you're at the car to ask any questions.

"He's not gonna bother you anymore." Gohan prefaces as he opens the door for you.

"You're sure of that?"

"Well…" Gohan gestures in the direction their conversation took place in, and you gasp at the sight of the destroyed tree.

"Gohan!"

Even with the beast inside proud of his work, Gohan blushes with a nervous laugh, rubbing the back of his neck. "I didn't hit him."

Your arms slip around Gohan's waist and practically crush him in a hug. His arms are gentle in contrast, but so warm, like a blanket around you. He smiles again and kisses the top of your head before bringing you home to snuggle, as promised.

The sexualization of hockey players is too normalized.

(TW: Sexual harassment, stalking, victim blaming(?). Reader discretion advised) (Notes: No DNI on this post since I want this to be an open discussion, just don't be an asshole and keep it SFW). To clear any potential confusion, I wanna add some disclaimers. 1. No, this isn't about real person fiction as a whole. The concept of RPF is a more complicated subject that crosses fanfic discourse territory, and that kind of discourse is not something I want to promote on this blog for my own comfort. 2. For the record, there is nothing wrong with having a crush on a player, or finding a player hot or cute. However, trying to sexually harass them is when it becomes a problem. 3. Yes, this is about the Alex Wennberg situation. TL;DR: We as hockey fans need to be more fucking respectful of a hockey player's boundaries and privacy. Again, having a crush on them or fantasizing about them isn't a bad thing, but going to their social media and saying such things crosses the line.

I think we can all safely say that we've all had our moments where we developed a crush on a hockey player. I think we can say that we've all had our moments where we had *certain* fantasies about them too. However, I think we all need to learn that there are times where it can go too far. And that is exactly what's going on with Alex Wennberg. Who's Alex Wennberg and what's going on? Alex Wennberg is an NHL player currently playing for the Seattle Kraken. Recently, his wife has spoken out against some sexual harassment that has been occurring against him, particularly in the form of writing. (Warning: NSFW comment in one screenshot)

However, this ultimately only led to further harassment against not only Alex, but his wife as well.

This ultimately led to Felicia and Alex making further statements shown below. (I've had to take multiple screencaps of the statements since they get pretty long). Felicia's statement:

This has been a problem for a while. Unfortunately, this isn't new. You might have seen this video featuring Connor Bedard, who was seventeen at the time. Tbh, this isn't sexualization per se, but it's still very uncomfortable and still an example of how obsessive hockey fans can be. In the video, Connor Bedard is signing jerseys, and a mother and a daughter come up to him, with the daughter asking Bedard to be her valentine, with the mom demanding that Bedard says yes. Bedard does eventually budge and say yes. Though while it might be easily brushed off as a "haha fans having fun" thing, keep in mind that Bedard was only 17 at the time. I have no idea how old the daughter was, but either way.

And it's not just limited to that. It's not uncommon to see really cursed signs. Including *this* one.

There's also something about Tyler Seguin's wife stalking Seguin as well, however I have no clue on the validity of that claim since most sources have been gossip blogs. However, that's not to say that there isn't some creepy stuff towards Seguin either, and the screenshots I've seen are definitely real.

(And no, I'm not posting the one with his address). The Double Standard when it comes to harassment towards players. Until now, this issue wasn't being talked about, let alone called out. However, I believe the reason for that being is a double standard. If the players were female, there would be a lot of discussion around it. The fans that were harassing the players, especially the male fans, would get shunned easily, and would probably be driven off the site. And of course, if the roles were reversed, the players would be called out for sexually harassing the fans as well. So... why is it any different when a male player gets sexually harassed? The answer is simple: It isn't. It's still harassment, regardless of gender. And I think we as hockey fans need to understand that. And I am absolutely astonished that this kind of behavior is normalized and even *encouraged*. Learning when the line is crossed. Again, I get it. We've all had a crush on a player. We've all had fantasies about a player. For example, I've felt similar about multiple players. There are some I do find cute, and I do fantasize about being with them. However, does this mean I'm going to go onto their Twitter or Instagram page and share those fantasies? Absolutely not. This is where the line is. They don't need to know what I think about them outside of how good they played, and they certainly don't need to know about what you think of them outside of how good they played either. It becomes a problem when you go towards that player's social media and comment those things on said social media page, or if you tag the player you're talking about. After that, it's not really a healthy obsession or a healthy crush anymore. It's straight up harassment. And of course, you can write and read fanfic about them all you want. Hell, I'll admit I've read some hockey RPF of my own. However, if you're going to post fanfiction about a player, don't tag the player in question, especially if the fanfic is NSFW. And especially don't fucking send it to them either. After that, the "fiction" in RPF is less fiction and, you guessed it, just straight-up harassment. Fiction is supposed to be just that: Fiction. Final Thoughts. I think we, as hockey fans, need to do better when it comes to how we treat hockey players and athletes overall. Not just in this particular context, but in general. The truth is, hockey players aren't just fictional characters or mythical beings or toys that we get to play with. They're living people. They're living, breathing people. They still have boundaries and they still deserve privacy, and that needs to be respected. (And sidenote: If I see anyone say that "being a celebrity means giving up privacy" or anything among those lines, I'm blocking you). Lastly, I'm thankful that Felicia and Alex Wennberg spoke out about this, even though they honestly didn't have to (and in fact they really shouldn't have to even reach that level, but alas..). And I honestly hope this creates conversation and helps hockey fans reevaluate what they say online. And, to Hockeytok and Booktok in particular, if you're reading this right now, I only have one thing to say: Do better.

(or have the potential to be?) and if you think there's anything in the manga so far that does/could point to that?

Thank you for your question, yoshyoshy! Sorry for my late responses.

About why Yoshida would be romantically interested in Denji... honestly I have no basis for that, it just from VIBES and my feelings alone like- In my eyes, they have this weird gay tension that's only shounen mc and his *completely opposite designed* "rival" could have.

HOWEVER when we talk about CSM style of foreshadowing, I think yes, their relationship progression is already hinted since chapter 103 and 104. We, as the readers, just don't know exactly how it will ends up to be. We have the puzzle pieces, but not knowing the bigger picture. It could be platonic, it could be romantic (either one sided or not).

CHAPTER 103 SYMBOLISM

In chapter 103, there's so many details set up for both of them that I will show one by one. May be a reach, but knowing Fujimoto, we can't really predict or ignore anything tbh.

When the crowd cheered for Chainsaw Man, Yoshida saw and interested in Denji only.

Yoshida seems to be more relaxed (leaning in) and comfortable sitting with Denji than Fami (in chapter 122).

There are metaphor using their drinks to showcase their personality. Yoshida is iced coffee: bitter, dark, tired, and more mature-like. Meanwhile Denji is orange juice: sweet, sour, and more childish-like. Both standing next to each other (with height differences too). Which is very cute in my opinion.

Lastly, the famous background scene full of paintings with each different objects and symbols. Which I might try to debunk later on, but it's for another post.

CHAPTER 104 REVISITED

Now we go to the next "foreshadow" chapter, which is my personal favourite because we get teased by the probability of new trio. But we will focus on yoshiden this time.

"I'll stop you by force if I have to." Yeah, he already did. But what interesting about that is, he never *actually* try to hurt Denji. He always try to minimize the impact of his force method and tries to make Denji understand (the problem is, Yoshida is really just that BAD at giving reasonings and excuses).

Yoshida's memory is hinted to be weirdly strong. He remembers so many details even from small talks months ago, talking about Denji and "10.000¥ is 10.000¥"

"If there's anything I can do, I want you to come to me" has the same energy with "It's save through cloth, right?". It's not just a random empty words. It must be relevance in the future, right? RIGHT???

IN MY CONCLUSION

I think that's it. If you think there's more evidence to foreshadow their relationship, feel free to discuss about it! For me personally, their dynamics is very interesting and it would take much more effort to develop them into nothing than something.

I am VERY positive that their relationship would go deeper beyond what we have now. Honestly let's be real, it would be more interesting if their relationship develops romantically. Not only it would break shounen rules, but it also will be a major character development for both Yoshida and Denji. And apparently it suit the subplot we had right now, conforming your real identity. However I don't hate the idea of them being platonically too.

Also their dynamics goes from "haha funny comedic duo with gay jokes sprinkles" to "I could see you for who *you* are, but our traumas and our limited social abilities has shaped us to threaten each other, we understood everything yet we understand nothing (also let's blame the government)" in exactly 30 chapters after their first meeting in part 2, crazy.

Hi! :) So, about posting habits and copying:

Georgia posts this screenshot of someone asking her to tell David that they're in love with him/want to marry him (not sure anymore, but I'm counting on you to remember haha), responding yeah, I'll get right to that, or something akin to that.

It's funny enough and her reply doesn't come across as anything more than humorous, in my opinion, especially since we've seen this theme for years, on Twitter and Instagram. It's on-brand-Georgia.

Her tone, albeit the sarcasm, is still pretty nice, playing the ball back by pretending that she's not telling David because then she'd have to compete with the person who wrote in. I'm sure whoever texted her this was giggling at their phone when Georgia responded. I'm not sure if the same thing will be the case with fan interaction number two, however: Cue, Anna.

Because now, a few days later, Anna posts what is pretty much the same interaction with a fan (about Michael, obv.), but all the charme is gone? Or is that just me?

Let's get something straight, though: The fan message she got was a lot less "sweet" than the one Georgia received (how many kisses does it take for a message to become either passive aggressive or just too hyper or even kind of insincere in tone?), so I won't be too harsh on her for responding in kind (xxxx). Still, had me cringe a little.

Thing is, the more or less blatant copying of Georgia's social media voice keeps fascinating me. Whilst, at most times, it's obvious but still fine as its own thing, this time the whole post really just seemed too...Georgia. Firstly, because it really is like a total replica, secondly because Georgia has worn the "playfully possessive"-badge for years now. I'm not saying that Anna is just pretending to also be that, I genuinely don't think that's true, at least not fully, but what I am saying is that she's clearly aware of this sort of humour being well-received within the fandom and also very intentional about timing. It's always... funny? Noticable? exactly when these "replica posts" appear.

Although, in this case we also have to consider that she responded at the time she got the message (or a day later, at most), so the timing isn't really on her. In fact, this might just be a fan actively going for having the same interaction with Anna that another fan had with Georgia, basically setting her up. Especially considering how the DM was worded - again, it seemed a little too intentional/over the top.

(But yeah, a couple of hours earlier: The Tennant's face sitting post (and, whew lol), so is this trying to somehow keep up with their dynamic again?)

I want to stress that I don't think that any of this is a bad thing. There's literally no harm in her trying to cater to the fandom with this tone of voice and seeming a bit unoriginal. And what do we know, maybe she and Georgia really are that similiar, it's not like Georgia's humour and interactions are that singular. But I'm still having a different response to Georgia's posts in comparison to Anna's, even though they are so similiar, and that's what it comes down to.

Maybe that's completely unfair towards Anna (to some degrees it must be, since Georgia simply has been around longer and therefore claimed her kind of tone, if that's even a thing), but maybe it also comes down to authenticity - or a lack thereoff?

(Grouping these together since they are related.) Well, I hadn't seen AL's story this morning until I got your message @wanderingsemi, so thank you for the heads up. And it is, as you said, an almost exact replica of an Insta story Georgia posted a week ago. Let's get the visual up here, so folks can see both stories:

So, the first thing I will say is that I often have difficulty with discerning people's tones online, as the lack of vocal inflection/other indicators tends to make things challenging. I appreciate you sharing that Georgia's tone came across as humorous to you, because while I definitely did get the sarcasm, I also felt a sense of contempt coming from Georgia's reply, too. I do agree, however, that her response was very much "her," in her trademark style, and is something we've come to expect over the last few years now.

It's probably worth mentioning that these are both odd/weird things to send to your fave's partners. I know social media has largely eroded a sense of boundaries in a lot of fans, but it's just an awkward thing to say overall. (I submit that it's actually more awkward/inappropriate than RPF, because RPF is fantasy and is not something any of these people would come into direct contact with unless they went looking for it.) That being said, while neither Georgia nor AL can control the things fans send to them, they can choose to respond (or not) to said comments. So thinking about your Ask, @armangelus, we have Georgia here essentially doing the same thing as AL--being possessive of David in response to a random DM--yet the results are wildly different.

Which then brings me to AL's response. Going back to our discussion on tone, I am not sure that I interpreted the message AL got as being "less sweet" than the one Georgia received, as they seem incredibly similar to me. I'm not sure the message-sender was actually being passive-aggressive, but because AL seemed to look at it that way, it is then reflected in her response (and is fitting with her past responses/personality, which has been passive-aggressive on multiple occasions).

For a little backstory (and this largely comes from @problematicwelshman, whose blog is well worth reading for a lot of tea related to Michael and AL going back to 2019): AL's social media was entirely scrubbed when her and Michael's relationship first came to light (end of June 2019). This also coincided with Michael's longtime PR person quitting, and a seeming overhaul of AL's social media presence. Initially, though, a lot of her posts were in her own voice, but they did not seem to go over well/she was not connecting with the fandom (see this post for links to examples, most of which involve belittling Michael/making fun of his weight and appearance).

Then in mid-2021, this all shifted with an event Michael appeared at for the 150th birthday of the Royal Albert Hall. Suddenly AL was praising and complimenting him in ways she never had in any of her past posts. This also happened to coincide with Georgia starting the #Shebergs hashtag (which sounds like an iceberg, a.k.a. the thing that took down the Titanic, so I'm still not sure why that was chosen as a portmanteau of AL and Michael's names), as well as AL promoting Last Train to Christmas, a movie of Michael's that she appeared in that was released at the end of 2021. So this was another social media overhaul/PR effort, seemingly perfectly timed with AL having something to promote and trying to advance her acting career.

But what this was also the start of is what you alluded to, which is that inauthenticity. I can completely understand you having a different reaction to AL's story than Georgia's, because as you said, that charm is not there, which I think is because it's Georgia's charm, not Anna's. And as much as she might copy Georgia's tone or the types of content she posts, you can't really copy charm--it's either something you have, or something you don't. I think it also ties into the other thing you referenced, which is the "playfully possessive" thing. It actually is something that Anna has copied, also on multiple occasions (see below)...but much like with this story, it doesn't come across the same way as when Georgia does it:

(Another notable thing about the response on the left is that AL was not even tagged in the original tweet, which also copies Georgia's pattern of randomly replying to fans on Twitter--usually as a result of searching David's name, which she has been known to do.)

So yes, I think we can definitely see a clear pattern here, which has seemingly only become more blatant as of late. And while I agree there is no harm on one level of trying to appeal to the fandom, I don't think it's unfair to AL at all because there is such a clear, agenda to what she is doing that becomes more obvious as you look back over the past few years. That, in my opinion, is what makes it seem so forced and not genuine, and is why one might feel a different reaction to her post versus Georgia's.

Those are pretty much my thoughts, rambling as they were. I appreciate both of you sharing yours as well so that we could have this discussion. Thanks for writing in! x

Bad Batch Season 3, Episode I Don't Even Know And Honestly Will Not Be Keeping Track * SPOILERS * (solely because Mina Nunyabiz *REAL NAME REDACTED* has gone on so many diatribes about this inexcusable social faux pas on Tumblr known as failing to accurately and comprehensively tag your posts for pieces of media which some people haven't gotten to watching yet and this means that if they wish to be on Tumblr without getting unwanted foreknowledge they have to undergo some vast and imprecise tribulation known as filtering by tag)

I have come to two, nay, three, EIGHT whole conclusions: a. Tech hacked the Star Wars Internet. b. Tech was the Star Wars Internet. c. Pabu does not have Star Wars Internet. d. The Batch cannot function without their Internet. e. The Batch has lost its sole functioning strategic brain cell. Hemlock caught it when Tech fell. The muscle and the face are kind of just winging it now; the auxiliary brain cell said "haha see you later, losers, I need to be Rex's chauffeur"; and the attitude's first and only plan is, as always, just "KILL". f. These men are adorable and also utter morons. g. Crosshair has no experience with women. Ever. He doesn't even know how to talk to them. They're a different species to him even when they aren't literally a different species. His two methods of social interaction just recently expanded to three (murder, snark, and now mother hen) and still none of them have anything to do with proper behavior towards adult females. Let alone one who doesn't share his genes. You can tell by the way he wildly swung from default "PICK FIGHT/KILL" to "offer genteel non-sarcastic hand up to my ship without sarcasm after you almost got my Stockholm syndroming sister killed by a giant turtle because if I can't kill you I literally am at a loss for how to behave towards you". h. Tech was the only member of the squad who ever bothered to get a newspaper and check to see who they were actually fighting.

Hekate always blows me away with how smart she is. We have had lots of bad experiences in our neighborhood with offleash dogs and even dogs on leash that people let come up to us. Unfortunately, this is why I carry mace with me at all times. I am done risking my medical device any time we walk out our front door.

Today, my mother wanted to go coffee shop and book store hopping around town. We ended up going to three coffee shops and two different bookstores. We would go to a store and either sit or walk around for an hour or so before walking a block or two to the next place.

The weather was beautiful. It is apparently prom weekend for several schools in the area. There was a wedding at a nearby church. Needless to say, it was more than a little busy. I'm not exactly excited for all the people, but my little social butterfly is happy as a clam.

Thankfully, public places are a completely different story. I don't mind pet friendly places. Dogs still bark at us when we go by. Dogs still pull towards us and lunge. But! People are very good about keeping their distance when their dog does these things. People especially get out of the way when they see her labeled as a service dog.

Hekate knows this. She knows that when she is wearing her vest or her harness, she is untouchable. The extremely rare occasion when she does get touched with her gear on it is out of love and compassion from a human rather than an aggressive dog. I am determined to keep it this way.

We passed more dogs than I can count today. She didn't do anything more than look twice at the worst behaved of the lot. We had dogs on patios barking at us through the fence. We had dogs in strollers getting so wound up that they were shaking the whole thing almost until it fell over. We even had dogs barking at us in the cars that drove by. So many puppy parents saying "Look how well behaved he is!" as we walked by. The best dog we passed was a basset hound puppy that couldn't give less of a fuck about us. He was all ears (haha get it cuz he's got ears) on his dad who proudly had treats he was giving out generously.

It makes me sad that we only feel somewhat safe outside of our home when we're in stores or in town. I am happy, though, that we still had good experiences this weekend. The number of compliments we got everywhere really helped me feel better about our behavior. It doesn't matter what other people think, but I always worry about how people perceive us.

Hekate makes me feel calm and comfortable in any and all situations. I am so grateful I have someone who loves getting to go places and do things with me.

My mother keeps saying how she is the best girl ever for not only putting up with me but also putting up with us going everywhere, and doing everything the last week while she has been here.

What (two or more) characteristics do you personally like about yourself and your mutuals? You can either just say it, explain it, or anything really lol

About myself: I have a love-hate relationship with my grit. Mostly because I know I was born talentless in all aspects (no exaggeration), so every creative endeavor I have is 99% hardwork. And no, my parents don't have writing or drawing skills. I don't need to explain how my mom only knows how to draw "v" birds or how my dad isn't great at English. Absolute shame on them. (jk I love my family, I wish I could just pass my lifespan to hem HAHAHA). So when all hardwork fails, I feel like absolute shit. Second thing probably is my faith. I think I wouldn't be here if I didn't have some level of trust with the universe overall. The rest of me is garbage tho lmao. If I'm an otome game character, I'm 100% the beloved and beloathed trash husbando /srs.

About @leftdestiny-posts: I'm not sure I'd ever encounter an internet mutual like them ever again, and I think their appreciation for life and bluntness/straightforwardness is something to be admired. They're traits I don't have. Shiro and I are very very different people, and I'm not sure why there was a miracle that made us meet lol.

About @a-dose-of-phitre and @estellxli: longest friends I have. I really admire their creativity and skill, and if you want me to be honest, I know full well I'm left behind in those departments. If you know me irl, I'm not exactly the most affectionate person so I'd rather keep this part brief haha. Though, a small addition, I admire estella's communication skills and assertiveness a ton and I wish I had a bit more of Phitre's endearing charm and mannerisms (and height-). I'm super stiff lol.

About @navxry: Probably communication skills as well? When we met, they talked continuously. As much as I know I'm an extrovert and thrive off social energy, I think something in me is holding me back to being as vocal as they are. They also seem to have an abundance of energy. Ahh. Youth. /j

About @mixed-kester: i wish i am surviving engineering as much as she has i wanna quit can i quit also how does she pick colors sht is unfair i always have to open up google chrome to— //hjjjj

About @jessamine-rose: she already knows about my fashion sense or lack thereof, so let's talk about something else. I greatly enjoy her writing style because I know it's not something I'd pull off. Her sentence structures doesn't become verbose, they're incredibly succinct— enough to lead you along. Other than that, probably the way she bounces ideas spontaneously. I wish she sleeps right tho HAHAHA /silly

About @vennnnn-diagram: I probably pestered them too much about how normal people work honestly. I lack social skills so learning about stuff from them makes me feel a bit more knowledgeable without any visible judgement from them. So yeah, add that as one out of two. The second one? Their music skills. I hate learning instruments. I don't know why. I tried plenty. I suck plenty. Everyone in my family are great at playing except me. They're the Bruno Mars to my gambling addiction. WAIT WHY DOES SOUND LIKE THE WORST PICKUP LINE KN EXISTENCE HAHAHAHAHA

About @stardust-for-your-soul: i wish i can write fluff i wish i can write romantic things why can't i think of romantic genshin men headcanons why'd it always have to end in murder— oh and also, I love her prose. Chryseis can turn the mundane to something that oozes with beauty, and I think that romanticism is wonderful.

About @lucienbarkbark: i absolutely do not agree with your love for dazai /silly but I do admire estorea's unapologetic nature. Hell yeah bestie fricking read thag 300000+ chaptered story 😭😭😭 /gen. I find it a challenge to sit down and read nowadays huhu. Also, I like how warm she is to talk to, we haven't DMed much but it feels so hospitable (?) whenever she send fic links. Wish I was more like that. Also, thank you for the oda fics, soldier.

About @meimeimeirin: when mei put the kamisato siblings in a kin tier once (unless memory fails me), i remember silently agreeing so much. She has that "I got most my life together" vibe and I do wish I have that. She's also very open to talking about what she loves, she doesn't hide her affections and it's something I very much look up to if you've seen the things I've written so far lol. I love how vocal she is with appreciating what she has, including some new drinks she tasted, her parents' loving relationship, it's just sweet. The teashop aesthetic definitely suites her vibe. She just seems so... Elegant? Can't be me, I need to cause a mess /silly

About y o u: well first off if I get to have your hands for a day, you'd find weird ass drawings of blonde men on your drawing software. Second, I like your vibes a ton. It hits different. It fluctuates from absolutely chill to saying lowkey out of pocket things and I might be getting gaslit to thinking you're not at all the latter /j

Do You Think Patriarchal Beauty Standards Don't Exist For Men And That Women Don't Participate In Them?:

Maybe it's my time spent in trans spaces where people talk about their experiences with gendered beauty standards before AND after realizing they were trans/transitioning, but this is very much not a "haha evil misogynistic men" thing (especially in a what, 30 second video about the making of a kids movie by Disney where they may not have even been ALLOWED to make such a comment??).

Like actually in fact cis guys and people presumed to be cis guys DO actually have their looks constantly OPENLY evaluated, often to their faces because "it's fine to make fun of men since they're the ones in power, its punching up to make fun of random guys" and so much of it is so deeply rooted in things like racism, fatphobia, and intersexism that any guy who isn't basically a (white) chad wojak knows EXACTLY what this feels like.

This is the kind of shit that gives men body dysmorphia and eating disorders at TERRIFYING rates. This is the kind of thing that absolutely drives men's suicide attempts through the roof (and doubly so for trans men).

Oh, right:

Y'all straight up don't think men have feelings or are human beings. The guys going "yeah haha sometimes it was awkward or sucked a little to have someone taking a feature of ours and going 'yeah that's not hot at all'," like no matter WHY you're doing it that's gonna suck a little. Everybody wants to think other people find them attractive that's literally normal let's take a bunch of drawings and see how you feel when I point out your eyes or nose or lips or cheekbones or ears or forehead or hair are not attractive to multiple people of the gender you're attracted to.

And since I know it'll matter to y'all: I'm pangenderfluid. Nonbinary intersex. I'm also fat, disabled, and neurodivergent. Quite frankly, I've never actually been treated as a binary gender fully, but I'll give the rare admission that I was neither raised a man (which, to be clear, is separate from my undisclosed agab), nor am I ever really treated as either a man or a woman now that I'm visibly a genderfreak.

I'm defending men (cis and trans) as someone who has experienced misogyny and transphobia from the patriarchy - from both men AND women and arguably more and worse from women - women who had significant power over me based in social class no less - my whole life. I'm defending men because quite frankly some of y'all cross multiple lines between "criticizing the patriarchy, misogyny, and misogynistic men" and "just being a bully to random men", and while it doesn't apply in this case, I KNOW y'all do this ALL THE TIME to men you actually have privilege and significant hierarchical power over (trans men, queer men, men of color, disabled men, fat men, etc).

But sure haha those men suck for the utterly misogynistic crime of going "oop it stings a little to have women pointing out your own features as unattractive, haha oh well"

("men should express their feelings" well this is what you do when they do You Are Literally Upholding And Reinforcing The Patriarchy Expressing Feelings Means Expressing "Negative" Feelings And Not Being OPENLY MOCKED For Them You Asshole)
