Kaito now has an excuse to have someone else in his social circle!!! AND THIS TIME IT'S SOMEONE WHO DOES KNOW ABOUT KID!!!

I know everyone is focused on the chaos but let's look at something positive.

Kaito is a character who stands out for being asocial and having only one friend, Aoko. Keiko is Aoko's friend who occasionally talks to Kaito and he doesn't trust Hakuba or Akako to consider them friends. They're more like "the annoying people who won't leave me alone." Jii is his only trusted person and who he should not lie to about his double life.

Kaito Kuroba is terribly alone on this journey.

We have all at some point thought that he needs more allies or friends.

And, perhaps, Shinichi being his cousin is the perfect excuse to have someone else in his circle. Let's remember that, in general, neither of them has a real reason to interact in their normal lives. The only times they interact is when someone needs something or a robbery. Nothing else. It is an interaction purely of convenience. But now they DO have an excuse to socialize outside of this "relationship of convenience." IT'S MORE!! SHINICHI IS THE ONLY MEMBER OF HIS FAMILY WHO IS IN THE COUNTRY AND WHO HE CAN TURN TO IF HE WANTS!! Kaito's mother is out of the country and when she answers calls, she is usually not the best person to talk to. (and things would be more complicated if she KNEW that a certain person was still alive!) His father... We don't talk about Toichi for now 😒 And his uncles? I highly doubt they are paying attention to their lives.

So yes, Shinichi is the only member of his family who he can count on a little more than the rest. (Which isn't much but it's something. What depress.)

So yeah, I think this can be a good thing for Kaito. He needs more trustworthy people.

I'm aware that it can reduce kaishin, but you know what? I WIN MORE REASONS FOR TOICHI AND YUUSAKU! Well, I mean the hope that there will be more interactions between their families and maybe even soft and cute moments between them like memories [does that mean it's canon in the manga/anime?], I'll interpret them as my rotten little brain desires, I will continue creating and consuming kaishin content [also from Toichi and Yuusaku, I don't know what their ship's name is] . and as one user said in a poll, canon can kiss my ass [toichi too, in case he's alive]

Furthermore, we all know that it is another unnecessary twist in the plot that only twists it for no other reason than to try to fill gaps and create others...
