Feliciano / N. Italy for the character ask game 💙
6. What's something you have in common with this character?
14. Assign a fashion aesthetic to this character.
ooh yay yay!! thank u for the ask my beloved mutual and fellow ita enjoyer <33
6. What's something you have in common with this character?
a lot of things, actually, but i will say one that's more unique! so, the whole grandparent dying thing? yeah. i was vv close with my grandmother, and she lived with us for most of my life, and she's one of the people who took care of me, and was the one i relied on to actually play with me and all that, so when she died, i ended up pretty neglected 💔 like, more than i was before.
14. Assign a fashion aesthetic to this character.
does sprezzatura count? it seems like the kind of thing that'd suit him <3 he cares about looking good but he's also a liiiittle bit of a mess. i could see him putting together an outfit only to overlook a minor detail, but it works because of the (overall) relaxed way he carries himself. he gives me the vibes of someone who comes off as effortless in a lot of the things he does (art, socializing, for example), even if that's not always the case.

Gerita and Nedpan
Tumblr media
gerita: from what I've heard, a lot of germans and italians don't really seem to understand why this is such a big ship (besides the canon material) because irl it seems like these countries aren't really present in the other countries' minds? on a personal basis, germany and italy and gerita have never been my faves so they're not really something I think about all that often bahaha
nedpan: It makes sense given the interactions and the cultural impact but meh, not for me. I would even go as far to say i'm more interested in portpan than i am in nedpan LOL

Why are the Romance languages so much more fun to yell at people with? By comparison Norwegian and English are so clunky Spanish just flows. Maybe I’ll change my mind when I get better at the other two (I phrased this awkwardly. I meant Spanish and Norwegian when I said “other two” because Spanish is my, admittedly not fluent anymore, Second language and Norwegian is my, also not fluent yet but I have more of an excuse with that one, language) but in my experience so far one definitely feels more bulky, if that makes any sense?
#emma posts#you know someone is going to try saying it’s racism but Italian is like that too#I just barely know any of that#I’m very rusty at Spanish and new at Norwegian but so far my experience with Germanic languages (including my first) has just been more… idk#rough I guess? if i want to threaten a guy it can feel more like a punch#but cursing someone out feels more flat#Latin vs old Norse and old English is like that too#but I know Latin mostly from science#vs old English from classes on the history of literature in this language#and old Norse from books because I was bored I guess?#I’m not good enough at anything else that i would trust having a conversation in them#but in my limited experience this tends to track#except whatever the fuck French is doing. i feel like I’m clearing my throat when i try to copy French people#sorry but that’s just how it feels#especially Canadian French#I’m not really interested in learning German or anything tbh#but I am interested in being able to read some Nordic ones and just ended up digging deeper into my special interest languages#maybe it’s just because Nordic languages are slightly more familiar? not enough for conversation. but more familiar#as well as Spanish. which i actually could hold a conversation in at one point#I’m not really interested in French either#just more English. Norwegian. Swedish. Spanish. and one day Icelandic.#I WILL read those old books before I die! provided i don’t die young#i don’t care if i can get them translated. I want to read THOSE ones.#‘you have an English Bible and aren’t even Christian’ i don’t care! I want to be able to read the Icelandic one! I want to read what#my great grandparents did! I want to read the Norwegian postcard from my great grandparents family overseas#we got it translated. but it’s not the same!#and I’d also like to be able to speak the second most popular language in my country#that is probably more practical and i have had more experience with it#I just cannot get the gendered ‘the’s correct. la and el are currently my biggest hurdle#that and the difference between making my brain focus on practical skills vs my hyperfixations

Isn't it funny how Austria has been shown to be visibly frustrated about the whole Austria/Australia thing at least twice, but we never get any insight of it from Australia's perspective? It's like, he barely aknowledges Austria's existence yet Roderich makes such a big deal out of it xD And today it's apparently Australia's birthday, which made me realize - they both have their birthday on the 26th. Yet another thing that probably frustrates Austria about him.
@nordic-italian-german gave me the idea for this meme template (I sort of quoted it but I had no idea where it came from lol), thank you ♥

I just love your family art <3
can I request other siblings that you usually not draw? Italian bros, german bros, North American bros, monaco and france etc. there are others but I can't think of them in the moment right now🫣
Thank you! 🥰
Of course you can! I'm always up for drawing things that aren't the Nordics - the variation is great and I love figuring out how to draw different characters ✨

can you please tell me your headcanons for the nationalities of the twst boys pretty pretty please 🥺 also any other headcanons you have!!!
I love love love nationality headcanons, they're so fun to think of!! A reminder that these are my headcanons, I'm not here to start arguments. If anything does come across as offensive/innapropriate please let me know! I'll gladly fix it :)
For the most part, I based the Twst Character's nationalities off of where their stories take place (I'm not all that skilled in headcanons, apologies!!)
Alright, going in dorm order here:
Heartslabyul
Riddle Rosehearts: Icelandic/Britsh
I have him as Icelandic purely because of LeafSheep's "Begin at the Beginning," the King Said!! Nordic Heartslabyul has my heart. and ofc since Heartslabyul is based on Alice in Wonderland, he's half-British in my headcanons
Ace Trappola: British
Alice in Wonderland :)
I don't have much to say about Ace, I kinda don't think about him all that much
Deuce Spade: Irish
In coming up with nationality headcanons, I wanted to explore more areas in the British Isles for the Heartslabyul students and eventually decided on Deuce being Irish! I had more reasonings but its 5 am and I cannot think for the love of me.
Cater Diamond: American with English/German heritage
I see myself in Cater. He's one of my highest kins, so he's 100% from West Coast USA. It also makes a lot of sense he'd be American looking at how similar some nations in the Twisted Wonderland universe are to nations in our own world! Pyroxene is really similar to the United States from what I've researched, and Cater's valley accent in the English version of the game really hits the mark :)
As for his heritage, he's English because of Alice in Wonderland and German because I feel it fits him very well
Trey Clover: British
I don't think about Trey often enough sorry :(((
I love him though he's so silly
Savanaclaw
Leona Kingscholar: Kenyan
The Lion King takes place in the Kenya area, and so I put him there!
Jack Howl: American with Kenyan/French heritage
Another Pyroxien!
Kenyan because Savanaclaw was based on the Lion King and that's set in Kenya
French because I have a sneaking suspicion Jack is based on the wolves from Beauty and the Beast
Ruggie: South African
Ruggie was hard to find a headcanon for, but I eventually just took someone else's headcanon that said he is South African
Octavinelle
Azul Ashengrotto: Italian/French/Danish
All come from where the Little Mermaid is set in both the movie form and the Hans Christian Andersen form. The movie itself was set in the Mediterranean Sea, and I headcanon Azul's family to be from around the Nice, France area of the Mediterranean
Danish comes into play from the original source material for The Little Mermaid and the fact that the Coral Sea in Twst gets cold. Also to note, the Coral Sea on the map of Twisted Wonderland is close to the coast of the Queendom of Roses, which is pretty far north!
Jade and Floyd Leech: Danish
Putting these two together because twins
Pretty much the same reasonings as Azul, the book's settings and the Coral Sea :)
Scarabia
Kalim Al-Asim: Saudi Arabian
I'm going to be so honest, I don't think about Scarabia like... at all. So for Kalim, I'm going straight out of where Aladdin is supposed to be set
That also came as a problem, because the movie has a habit of mashing Middle Eastern cultures together. Though I did find that the movie takes place in the Arabian Desert which narrows where Aladdin was filmed to a myriad of countries, one of which is Saudi Arabia
I decided to go with Saudi Arabia since a majority of the desert does reside within that country.
Jamil Viper: Saudi Arabian/South Asian
Same thing as for my headcanons with Kalim, and I got the South Asian headcanon from a mutual on TikTok
Pomefiore
Vil Schoenheit: American with German heritage
Hollywood star here, folks!
German heritage because of Snow White's setting :)
Epel Felmier: Finnish
Ok for this headcanon I went off of the Harveston event
(hey future Bon edit here when its not 5 am and running off of no sleep)
Rook Hunt: Australian
This headcanon is for shits and giggles
It's a running joke between me and my friend that Rook is not French and is faking the accent to sound more "beautiful"
I don't know why we chose Australia specifically but it came to fruition
He can't speak proper French he's literally calling Vil the King of Fish
Ignihyde
Idia and Ortho Shroud: Greek
Hercules is set in Greece!
Diasomnia
Malleus Draconia: French
For Diasomnia I went off of movie settings once again, and Sleeping Beauty is heavily implied to be set in France!
I really feel like I should explain more but that's really most of my headcanons for them, where their movies are set
Silver: French
Silver is tough to pin down since we don't know if he's even originally from the Briar Valley, but I went with French as well
Sebek Zigvolt: French/German
(Bon please please please come back to this)
Lilia Vanrouge: French
I actually have so many nationality headcanons on this dude its not even funny
I imagine him as French, Romanian, and Dutch
And for funnies:
Royal Sword (and Rollo) (excluding the dwarves)
Neige LeBlanche: American with German/Finnish Heritage
Che'nya: British/Russian
Rollo Flamm: French

Okay so a second take on your question,@themousefromfantasyland ; because my first answer was a bit of garbage (I am not good at making answers out of the blue).
What counts as a fairytale? What is a fairytale?
The most limited and narrow definition you can have are the classical works explicitely referred to or written as fairytales: "contes de fées" in French, "märchen" in German. This means the traditional stories of Perrault, Grimm and the like. And in this narrowest definition you can go even more narrow depending on which side of the "purists" you are. Some are strictly focusing onto folkloric fairytales and folktales, and thus reject literary fairytales like Perrault's or Andersen's ; others will defend that the fairytale genre was a literary invention first and foremost, and will classify Grimm or Joseph Jacobs' work as folklorism. And this raises the question of the Italian fairytales, Straparola and Basile, the Pentamerone and the Facetious Nights: are they fairytales, or proto-fairytales? Because the term "fairytale" was invented by late 17th century France, "conte de fées", and as such, can stories written before that be considered truly fairytales? For some these Italian stories are proto-fairytales, for other full fairytales. But you get the idea.
On the other side of the spectrum of "What is a fairytale?" you have Bill Willingham's approach through Fables. Aka: everything is a "fable". In his fictional world, fairytales and folktales are just the most prominent and famous of those "fables", but they also include all forms of folklore and mythologies in the world ; all literary works that had a deep cultural impact (from Arthurian tales to Sleepy Hollow) ; and even urban legends and modern folklore. Basically, any type of fiction is a "fable"...
And honestly, expansions and overtures are perfectly possible between those two extremes. The entire question is: can you justify this expansion? And what tone will it give your fairytale selection?
If we consider a "fairytale core" made of all the classic literary and folkloric fairytales... And I am not talking here about extending fairytales to other folktales or to literary imitations, pastiches or parodies. But rather...
Can one include the Arthuriana and Arthurian tales into fairytales? Certainly! Because an entire branch of French literary fairytales, starting with madame d'Aulnoy and others, the famous "knight in shining armor, and princess in a tower, and dragon to be killed" type of fairytales, was inspired by Arthurian romans and medieval romances and other medieval tales of knights such as in the lais of Marie de France.
Can one include Greco-Roman mythology, or Norse mythology, in fairytales? For sure! French literary fairytales were also heavily inspired by Greco-Roman mythology ; fairytales of Nordic countries rather have roots in Norse mythology (trolls and dwarfs and elves) ; the oldest depictions and "prototypes" of famous fairytale types are always found in mythologies (Psyche's tale is the mother of a good bunch of fairytales, I might make a post about it)...
Can one include "fables" as in Aesop's fables or La Fontaine's fables in fairytales? Yes! Because there was a historical confusion for a long time between "fables" and "fairytales" meaning the two were very often confused.
Can one include nursery rhymes in fairytales even though they have nothing in common? Yes! Because in the British literature and culture, figures such as Jack, the goose with golden eggs, or Mother Goose, ended up forming a bridge and common element between fairytales and nursery rhymes.
Can one include famous children fantasy, or very influential children-works involving magical elements? Yes, it is possible! Because these stories were often heavily inspired by fairytales, or use fairytale tropes and codes, or were deconstruction of fairytales. The Wizard of Oz was originally written as the "first American fairytale", while trying to deconstruct typical fairytale cliches. Disney itself helped cement and spread around the idea that some famous children literature or children fantasy works were tied to fairytales (Pinocchio, Alice or Peter Pan, among others).
Can things such as the medieval Reynard cycle be considered part of fairytales? Yes, again! Because the stories of the Reynard cycles are also found around and across Europe as either "animal fables" or as "animal folktales" (the big classifications of folktales has an entire section for animal folktales, which are just Reynard stories with the name of the characters removed) ; and there is this connection to the folkloric figure of the talking animals (the talking fox or the talking wolf forming bridges).
Can werewolf tales or vampire tales be included in fairytales? Yes! Because there is a lot of folktales that blur the line between the two, and many "folkloric fairytales" that are just vampire tales or werewolf tales...
Honestly, the fairytale genre can be expanded in any direction as long as you have a clear justification and a clear goal in mind. The walls of folklore and fiction are thin and movable, and it is for you to build your maze of tales. Anything is possible.
But in return, are you forced or obliged to add all this to your fairytales? Certainly not! A fairytale means something different for everybody, everyone has different references, everyone has a different approach to folklore or had different childhood experiences. As such, some people will agree for example that yes, Dracula or Frankenstein can be mixed very well with traditonal fairytales, while others will scream they have nothing in common. Some will feel it is natural to have fairytales as expansions of old mythologies, while others will prefer keep them separate. Some dislike having modern works like Oz or Narnia or the Alice in Wonderland stories be confused with traditional Perrault or Grimm fairytales ; others dig it and were raised on the idea they were all the same.
It is all a question of personal appreciation, and honestly there is no way to go wrong with this... As long as the person who does this knows what they are doing, why they are doing it, and has some knowledge of the original material, and doesn't just do things out of misinformation or "Well everybody does this, I'll do it too without thinking much about it".

Annes of the World
thanks to @gogandmagog's lmm savvy, I'm hunting through the lm montgomery website and I found something really cool - Annes of the World. It shows Anne of Green Gable's covers from across the world, which of course I had to rate below!
Arabic
Tumblr media
I love this cover because it's like a dreamy summer day - it really reproduces the haziness of summer, and the haziness of a daydream - very fitting for Anne! I also love Anne's body language here, it seems very Anne Shirley to me. I'll give this a strong 9/10.
Chinese
Tumblr media
How CUTE is this!! While the drawing is darling (Anne Shirley would definitely sit by an open window nook to daydream), I need covers to commit to being covers personally. I'll rate this a 6/10.
Danish
Tumblr media
This has strong Anne with an E vibes to me - kind of that gray tone. Also many many chickens?? I really want to know what the artist was thinking to where they read aogg and was like "you know what this cover needs...more chickens". Unfortunately I don't really like this - I think Anne's expression is odd, her body language is off, and the coloring is not my favorite. Green Gables isn't even green!! It's not even GREEN!! 5/10, with an added point for the Chicken Presence because I am a chicken stan.
Dutch
Tumblr media
I find this cute, especially because the cover covers the front and back which I LOVE! I especially love how open it makes the scene, and Anne's curly hair is somehow perfect with this. Diana is giving me Maurice Sendak (think Pierre) vibes haha. I'll give this a 6/10.
Estonian
Tumblr media
this gave me all the childhood flashbacks. I remember reading so many great illustrated classics (a tale of two cities, anyone?) and poring over the illustrations I liked. I'm really curious to know what the illustrations inside of the book look like now! The cover is beautiful, and I really like they draw the background brush. The only note I have - Anne's hair is NOT red in this, maybe i'm blind but it looks barely auburn. I'll give it a 7/10, teetering dangerously close to 6 because of the hair issue.
French
Tumblr media
I have literally nothing to say other than this is the most French Anne I have ever seen and I love it. the SCARF. the BERET. 7/10.
German
Tumblr media
I really love this one. I love the hat, the hair, and the FLOWERS. It really gives the homespun quality that LMM infuses in her stories a lot of the time. Not a huge fan of the Anne here, but the background feels like Green Gables to me, so it feels like home. :') 8/10 for the hominess.
Hebrew
Tumblr media
lowkey OBSESSED with this one. highkey need this framed on my wall. I LOVE Anne's body language here. She's clearly daydreaming, and the baggage indicates that she's waiting for Matthew - you can also see the pensiveness in her face. Freckled and redheaded, daydreaming, check and check, alone and uncertain of the future, check. 10/10.
Icelandic
Tumblr media
I like this one, especially Anne's grin. Also, again, is that a chicken?? Fascinated by the Nordic need to insert a chicken. 9/10 for being cute. I also love the white flower effect. Stops short of being 10/10 because Anne is wearing pink, and we all know Anne longed to wear pink but thought it didn't go with her red hair!
Italian
Tumblr media
There is SO much going on on this cover. I like the flower crowns and the action shot, but looking at too long makes me go cross-eyed. Sorry to Italy, but this is a 3/10.
Korean
Tumblr media
this is short sweet and to the point haha. Anne is daydreaming as the sun sets and a breeze ruffles her hair. cute, but again, I like covers that commit to being covers. 6/10.
Norwegian
Tumblr media
Anxiously looked for a chicken and was disappointed. Tsk tsk tsk, Norway. This has old timey vibes in a way I like. The cover art is too small for me (see repeated complaints above), but I love the continued theme of Anne daydreaming while staring out a window. I give it a 7/10
Polish
Tumblr media
This is simplistic in a way I like. It's a little girl setting off on her own towards a forest, with a home only noticeable on a second glance (at least to me). the little figure is very cute too, I like her little shoes and hat. The leaves look too jungle-y to me though for PEI, so I'll say a 6/10.
Slovak
Tumblr media
Sorry to Slovak, but this doesn't seem Anne of Green Gables to me at all besides the leaves. This doesn't read like Anne to me, it just seems like a random girl. Bonus points for the puffed sleaves. The leaves are also barely there. 3/10.
Slovenian
Tumblr media
I don't how to feel about this. I don't really like the coloring, but I do like how Anne directly gazes at the reader. Read my story. The coloring gives it an eerie horror movie effect (she looks like a drenched ghost child rising from a lake), so I'm going to have to give it a 3/10.
Spanish
Tumblr media
THIS IS CUTE AS A BUTTON. And the Anne is cute as a button. I feel like i am AT the train station. I feel like I AM Matthew walking past an eager Anne. This one feels cinematic, probably due to a higher level of realism. I'll give it an 8/10.
Swedish
Tumblr media
This cover just confuses me. WHO is in the background?? Who is that woman?? Why is Anne so dismal about her?? Why is Anne sulking about this dancing woman in the background (this reminds me of the silly song about the dancing cucumber). Also, Anne's eyebrows are barely there. I'll give this a 5/10 because I can't rate it one way or the other.
Turkish
Tumblr media
This one makes me laugh because this looks like an Instagram deck. the way the face is drawn doesn't help. It's an insta pose, it looks insta filtered, the proportions seems weird like it's edited...yeah, this one is a no thanks. 3/10.
I think the Hebrew version wins in the end for me, but I'd love to hear others thoughts 👀

Man I would love to see an Imperial redesign that really shows off what an interesting mix of cultures went into forming them. Like, ok. The Cyro-nedes seem to be where the italian/latin side came from. Tracks with Ayleidoon sounding vaguely faux latin at times. Ok, can buy that. Then the Nords came and were BIG in founding the Empire in its early years. So from there we get the far more nordic Colovians - with their germanic names and larger, more nordic, appearances. That is fairly represented I think. So so far so good? But there's so many other neat ways of taking it. Like; to start off with actual lore stuff we have how the Nibeneans are described. With their ornate silken robes and bright colours and extensive jewellery that just make me imagine almost ancient indian style clothing but mixed with ancient roman stuff. To say nothing of the extensive tattoos they were talked about as having and just got cut/forgotten about but ah well. But like... ok... here is where I really wish they got funky with the Empire... the Akaviri. Reman's empire had a HUGE population influx of Akaviri people. Most of his ruling council was Akaviri. There were enough Akaviri people that the Empire couldn't even support all of them continuing as soldiers so they founded the fighter's guild to keep up putting the one skill set they (a former invading army) had. But others went on to settle the Rim - become the Rim-Men - had an entire REGION named after them there were so many. But where is the Akaviri influence in modern Imperial stuff? IDK... I just think it would be cool if we got some more Akaviri things sprinkled through day to day empire stuff and appearances. Some ancient japanese haircuts here and there. Some Imperial nobles that trace their lineage back to the Potentate/Reman times and still have monolid eyes or otherwise more Akaviri-Imperial features. I think the Blades armor in Oblivion is actually a really REALLY cool design for this - like, if it had been the standard legionnaire armor instead of just blades. It has so many samurai looking flairs to it but if you look at the actual structure - especially the lorica style chest plate and the shoulders - its really just roman armor done in a japanese style and that is so dang NEAT!!

LoZ - Hyrulean Cultural Aesthetics
Overall Cultural Influences:
Central Hyrule & Hylians specifically = Medieval Germanic & Arthurian English with some variation depending on location. All Hylian towns will likely have a little bit of this in them.
Humans = Rural, small town, down home, farmer, tough as nails, survivor, rough around the edges, traditional, conservative, but still rebellious, & generally very good-hearted. That means they are the rednecks, the cowboys, the military men, the American Southerners, the Vikings, & the Celts kind of characters. You're salt of the earth types. At least in feel, though not necessarily in culture. It's because of this that humans generally get along well with Gorons. Either way, humans stick mostly to the agricultural & ranching settlements for the most part.
Zora = Hard to tell as they generally don't wear clothing, but they do wear a lot of jewelry. If I had to give them clothes, I'd definitely say they'd be something flowy. Possibly Roman or Greek in fashion to go with the water theme? As for sensibilities, maybe a bit of French Rococo. I also get the impression that the Zora's Domain is actually divided into 2 levels: the Upper Domain & the Lower Domain. The Upper Domain is what we see in the games & consists of the commercial district & palace. The Lower Domain is entirely underwater & is where the Zora actually live. The reason we don't see it is because Link can't dive.
Rito = Northern Native American. Aldean specifically. Maybe a bit of Latin American.
Goron = A mix of Maori (Polynesian), African, Dwarven, & maybe a bit of Old West mining town, though it's hard to tell for certain as they generally don't wear clothing. Definitely something with a decent blend of caballerismo & machismo. Something masculine & tribal, but also community oriented & friendly.
Gerudo = Egyptian/Middle Eastern Amazons with some Orc influence. Possibly with some hints of Hindu too. At least as far as fashion goes.
Korok/Kokiri = If Peter Pan & the Lost Boys were Hobbits.
Twili = Possibly Scandanavian? Also Chinese with some Japanese influences.
Mogma = They seem to be Brooklyn-ish. Maybe even a bit of an Italian-American Mob feel, but more so in the "friendly gangster" way. So, I'm seeing some Bensonhurst influences, which is a specifically Italian-American borough within Brooklyn, I believe. Maybe even a bit of New York Jewish? Like, they come across as being Italian mafia adjacent, but only in so much as the accent, the attitude, & family-oriented organization. Sort of an "it takes a village" & "we take care of our own" type of mentality. Not in any way actually mafia though & certainly not in the romanticized view of gangsters as I don't actually see the Mogmas being the types to actually commit crimes on the reg. And despite being avid treasure-hunters, they seem to have a general culture of altruistic generosity. By that, I mean that their love language is gift-giving.
Yeti = Norse Viking.
Minish = Borrowers.
Anouki = Inuit.
Lokomo = Possibly Greek?
Zonai = Mesoamerican.
*Lupos = Gaelic, Celtic, & Nordic. (This is a race I made up, if you wanna know more, go to Wolf Link & the Lupos Race.)
Smaller Settlements:
Hateno = I'm getting Gaelic Scottish farming town. Also maybe a bit of Spain, Italy, & Greece. Mostly inhabited by humans & Hylians.
Kakariko = Japanese with maybe a touch of American Old West. While primarily Japanese, there's also some definite South Korean influences. Especially in their cooking.
Mabe = Rustic dairy ranching town vibes because I'm putting Lon Lon Ranch there. Based on how AoC & LA's Mabe was designed, their roofing is colorful terracotta tile & generally has ivy & such growing on their homes, so maybe Colonial Spanish. Mostly inhabited by humans & Hylians.
Goponga = I'm getting rural Luisiana Bayou vibes, most likely due to it being located in a swamp. So, primarily Cajun, French, & Colonial Spanish with some Zora inspiration maybe. Mostly inhabited by humans, Hylians, & Zora.
Deya = Not sure yet, but I'm giving them a vineyard, peach orchard, & making them use them to make moscato, so maybe an old Tuscany winery & fishing village? Mostly inhabited by humans & Hylians. From what we see in the games, it was actually the biggest settlement in Hyrule besides Castle Town, so it could've been a full-on town or city.
Ordon = Has a rural ranching feel & might be inspired by a southern agricultural town in Italy called Ordona. So, maybe rural Italy with American South mannerisms & sensibilities. Culturally, though, I get Gaelic Irish vibes. It might be the smials… Also, maybe a little bit of Welsh too. Either way, it's mostly inhabited by humans & Lupos (more human than Lupos) with the occasional Hylian, Sheikah, & 1 or 2 Gerudo. (For more of their overall culture, go to Ordonian Culture & Ordon Cooking Culture.)
Lurelin = Rural Hawaiian fishing village. Maybe a little bit of Caribbean & Okinawan? With a little bit of Mesoamerican mixed in due to Zonai influence from the nearby ruins.
Ealiyah = Tibetan-flavored Gerudo farming & brewing town. Maybe a little bit of Russian too? Also, interior decoration is eclectic & cluttered but cozy & colorful in a vibrant, rustic Bohemian sort of way. There are also some influences from humans, Hylians, Lupos, & even Sheikah to a degree as several of each race lives there too (all men), but overall, the culture remains mostly that Tibetan-Gerudo sort of style. They do a lot of weaving & sewing as well as dying. (This is a town I made up, for more on its culture & history, go to Ealiyah Town & the Highlands Gerudo.)
Tabantha Village = Norse with Rito, Yeti, & Lupos inspiration. So, old Norse Viking, Aldean, Celtic, & Gaelic with a Russian & Welsh accent. They use a lot of furs in their clothing. Mostly inhabited by humans, Hylians, Rito, Yeti, & Lupos.
Shadow Hamlet = Dwarven possibly, with Goron inspiration. So, very masculine. Maybe a bit of Old Western Mining Town. A mix of Gorons, Hylians, & Humans tend to live here.
Koholint Domain = This is on the Koholina Archipelago, which Eventide Island is the smallest island of & will eventually become a fishing & port town. In-world, it has influence from Zora, Rito, & Lurelin. But, from a real world perspective, it's mostly Polynesian, coastal Native American, & coastal Hindu with some ancient coastal Greco-Roman (even Atlantis-like) influence for the underwater sections of the settlement. As well as in their formal fashion. There would likely be a tiny bit of Carribean & Okinawan influence in there too. The population is made up of Euryhaline Zora (able to survive in both salt & fresh water), Coastal Rito, & Lurelin Hylians/humans. And, much like with how I think the Zora's Domain is built, the settlement's commercial district is on land, while the Zora residential area is underwater. The Rito & human/Hylian residences, as well as the Cheiftain's home, are also on land. (For more on the specifics of this, go to Euryhaline Zora & Coastal Rito Port Town.)
Gatepost, Outpost, & East Post = These are all a package deal. These are mostly military towns, so that'll definitely factor in. They are positioned in such a way as to protect Oldcastle. Mostly inhabited by Hylians, humans, & Sheikah, but with smatterings of the other races too.
Oldcastle = The site of OoT's Castle Town, a.k.a. the Great Plateau, so there'll be some DEEP historical significance going on. As such, it's mostly Medieval Germanic & Arthurian English. Mostly inhabited by Hylians, humans, & Sheikah.

I apologize in advance if this is stupid. I saw that Argentina has a large Italian-descended demographic. Are people really into being Italian like they are in the USA?
allow me to illustrate by anecdote: the first primary school i ever went to was run by a like, italian cultural association. i had to take italian classes from kindgergarden up to like 3rd grade (when i changed schools).
(it probably depends a lot on the specific argentine region. i once went to a town where like every 3 buildings youd see one german or nordic national symbol, because those where the ones who had mostly settled the area)
