BAPHOMET
Tumblr media
WHO ARE THEY?
Baphomet is a Pagan deity that represents duality and balance. Most people work with Baphomet in order to become more peaceful, understanding, and balanced. Baphomet is often referred to as ‘Satan’ or ‘The Devil’, which isn’t true. People mostly say that because Baphomet has pentacle on their head and they have the head of a goat. A goat represents fertility and spiritually.
BASIC INFO:
Appearance: in some Pagan traditions, Baphomet is seen as a symbol of balance and unity between the Divine Masculine and Divine Feminine, represented by a human figure with the head of a goat. In other traditions, Baphomet is considered the personification of the primordial chaos and oblivion. In some folklore and myths, Baphomet was a symbol of fertility and reproductive power, and was often depicted as a hermaphrodite or a hybrid creature.
Personality: Baphomet is often depicted as a fierce and formidable entity, representing the destructive and chaotic forces of nature. Although they can seem intimidating and unpredictable, they also have a nurturing and compassionate side. Their personality is often reflected in the dual nature of Baphomet, where they are both masculine and feminine, gentle and fierce, peaceful and intense. They are a symbol of balance and unity, the meeting point of opposites and contradictions.
Symbols: pentagram, head of a goat, human body with an animal head, pentacle, sword, key, male and female, and the words "As above so below"
God/Goddess of: sexuality, demonic forces, wisdom, nature, balance, darkness, and pride
Culture: Demonic
Plants and trees: rosemary, lilacs, irises, lavender, aconitum napellus, black walnut, and cacao
Crystals: obsidian, amethyst, onyx, crystal quartz, garnet, black tourmaline, ruby, selenite, and brown quartz
Animals: black goats, snakes, wolves, ravens, dogs, oxen, and black cats
Incense: dragon’s blood, black musk, opium, frankincense, and mag champa
Colours: black, white, yellow, red, green, purple, gold, and dark blue
Numbers: 8, 13, and 666
Zodiacs: Pisces and Aquarius
Tarot: The Chariot, The Hermit, The Empress, and The Devil
Planets: Saturn and Mars
Days: Saturday, Tuesday, Walpurgis Night, Halloween, Blavatsky Day, The Winter Solstice, and Yule
Parents: Lucifer and Lilith
Siblings: none
Partner: none
Children: Azazel and Astaroth (not official)
MISC:
• The Union of Male and Female: Baphomet is often depicted with both male and female characteristics, symbolizing the unity of the masculine and the feminine.
• The Balance of Good and Evil: Baphomet is an entity of balance, symbolizing the interplay between good and evil in nature and in life.
• The Sabbatic Goat or The Horned One: Baphomet is often portrayed as a goat-like creature with horns.
• Harmony
• Knowledge and wisdom
• Power and strength
• Spiritual knowledge and enlightenment
• A balance scale, which represents balance and harmony
• The word "Solve and Coagulo", which translates to "divide and combine" and refers to the dualism nature of Baphomet
• Rebellion and defiance
• Freedom and individuality
• Unity and togetherness
• Chaos and disorder
• Sexuality and sensuality
• Nature and wildness
• Protection and defense
• Magic and witchcraft
FACTS ABOUT BAPHOMET:
• Name: Baphomet is named after the Greek word "baphos," which means "the virgin."
• Symbol of the Satanist: the imagery of Baphomet has become a symbol of the Satanist church, with variations on the iconography being used by other satanists.
• Relatioinships: Baphomet is a figure in the Gnoetics who often represents the synthesis of female and male principles.
• History: the figure of Baphomet is believed to have originated among Gnostics, a group who blended early Christian and Greek-Roman mythology.
• Role: they are believed to represent the balance of male and female and the union of good and evil, acting in many ways as a symbol of the Satanist.
• Associations: they are often associated with the concept of balance, as well as various other aspects of Gnosticism, such as the concept of the duality of existence, the synthesis of opposing forces, and the merging of opposites.
• Connection to the beast: it is said that Baphomet symbolized the balancing of the inner animal nature with spirituality and intelligence.
• Nature: Baphomet is considered to be a symbol of the balance of opposites, blending the masculine and feminine elements into a singular whole.
HOW TO WORK WITH BAPHOMET:
You must ask Baphomet if they want to work with you. Baphomet is a deity, so you shouldn’t be commanding them or telling them what to do. You must be patient with them. (Watch out for trickster spirits). Respectfully ask them to give you a sign, and if you’re respectful enough, you might as well get an answer.
If they answer YES, you can create an altar to be more connected, but if you cannot then have something that reminds you of them. It can be small and simple.
If they answer NO, respectfully apologize for disturbing them. If you connected through an object then you don’t have to throw it out, you can cleanse it and get rid of that intention. If it’s something from nature, you can bury it.
PRAYER FOR BAPHOMET:
To begin, you can address them by name and say something like:
"Great Lord Baphomet, keeper of balance and bringer of harmony, I come to you seeking your wisdom and protection. I offer myself to you, my heart and my spirit, and I ask for your blessing in this prayer."
"Thank you, Great Lord Baphomet, for walking by my side and guiding me on this path. I depart from this space with balance and peace in my heart and with a sense of purpose and direction. Hail Lord Baphomet.”
WHAT ARE SIGNS THAT BAPHOMET WANTS ME TO WORK WITH THEM?
If your request to work with Baphomet has been accepted, you can look for these signs:
• A strong connection or attraction to Baphomet.
• Desire to explore or study Baphomet's teachings.
• Wanting to explore your own masculinity or femininity and find balance in your own nature.
• Desire to challenge social norms and embrace your own unique identity.
• Feeling of being guided by a force outside yourself.
• Feeling of being called to a higher purpose or feeling like there's more to your life than just everyday existence.
If your requests to work with Baphomet have not been accepted, you may see the following signs:
• Your intuition may lead you in a different direction and away from their teachings.
• Signs in your life may not align with their teachings or you may feel unclear or uncertain regarding their energies.
• Dreams and meditations may involve different figures or energies, and you may feel a lack of connection with Satan or Baphomet's energies.
Overall you need to be respectful of deities denying your request.
OFFERINGS:
• Your time.
• Meditation.
• Communication.
• Carving Baphomet’s symbol or name into a candle.
• Any kind of art of them.
• Being respectful.
• Learning about them.
• Candles.
• Liquor.
• Ropes.
• Incense: dragons blood, black musk, frankincense, etc.
• Animal skulls, bones, horns, etc.
• Dark or red flowers
DEVOTIONAL ACTS FOR BAPHOMET:
• Reject traditional values and social norms
• Embrace your masculinity and femininity
• Live a chaotic, self-guided life
• Reject authority and control
• Seek freedom and autonomy
• Balance your masculine and feminine energy
• Practice self-love and self-acceptance
• Live a hedonistic lifestyle of pleasure and indulgence
• Be brave, adventurous, and open to new experiences
• Live an unconventional life.
IS IT SAFE TO EAT OR DRINK AN OFFERING I GIVE TO THEM?
It is not recommended to eat or drink an offering that was given to Baphomet. Baphomet is a God of excess and self-indulgence and represents the darker sides of the human experience. Eating or drinking an offering made to Baphomet can carry risks of negative side effects, such as a lack of balance in one's life, a sense of greediness or addiction, or other negative energetic effects. Instead, it's recommended to dispose of an offering made to Baphomet in a respectful and safe way.

blacked out and finally made my first decent environment design in like. probably literally years. please enjoy Buck and Davey's shitass room
misc design notes slash thoughts if they're of any interest:
All the furniture's a combination of stuff Buck already had when Davey moved in, and stuff Davey brought over from his place when they decided to partner up. All of that in turn is either gotten cheap from thrift shops, rescued from the dump, or for a few of the smaller/nicer items Stolen Outright. As is probably obvious, they also repair and re-repair this stuff as much as possible rather than fuss over replacements.
The vast majority of the cosmetics are Davey's. Buck just kinda combs his hair and hopes for the best.
The rug is crooked because it's been there since before Davey moved in - Buck sleeps on the right side of the bed, so it made sense to have more rug (and more space in the room in general) on that side. Davey didn't care enough to insist on rearranging much when he moved in.
Prior to Buck and Davey taking it over as their hideout, the building used to be an illegal chop shop hidden under a manufacturing plant; their "apartment" is in turn a former break/storage area downstairs from the chop shop. The "bedroom" used to be a storage room, hence the exposed pipes, shitty concrete walls & floor, and marks from where big industrial shelves used to be fastened to the walls.
Because it's an old storage room, it tends to get the worst of extreme temperature changes (hot in the summer, cold in the winter). Also, undecided if they have an actual door or if they've just put a curtain up in the doorway. (Either way, it's also not particularly private or soundproofed - not a huge deal when it was just the two of them, but a bit of an annoyance once Minnie starts living with them.)
The drying rack used to be more out of the way in the living room, but they moved it when Minnie started sleeping there so they wouldn't have to bug as much when they do laundry.
Davey "no no I quit years ago seriously (actually sneaks a smoke or two whenever he gets super stressed)" Lastname definitely has a pack or two of cigarettes hidden in his stuff and thinks he's slick about it. (Buck 100% knows and figures so long as he doesn't smoke in the house and he's mostly trying to quit, it's not worth raising a big fuss about.)
Technically the tools and stuff aren't supposed to be in there, but Buck's always forgetting stuff places when he does repairs or tinkers with shit.

grimoire organization 2022
Greetings, everyone! This is how I've organized my grimoire for 2022. I use Obsidian to write it digitally.
This is just my personal preference for organization, so no worries if yours looks different! There are as many ways to organize a grimoire as there are witches and wizards in the world.
Tell me what you think! What parts do you like? What do you think I should add? Anything I'm missing or suggestions to make it better? Feel free to comment how you organize your grimoire below!
Farewell, and good tidings!
Branwen

Crushed
by itripandfallalot and Savoirfaire on ao3
Rating: T | Category: F/M | Relationship: Lockwood/Lucy
“You do realise what you’re taking on, don’t you?” I said, trying to match his business-like tone. “If you really are going to insist on playing nursemaid until I can get back on my feet, that’s all very well and good, and I am truly grateful. But my reasons for leaving the company still stand and that’s not going to change. When I get better, I will be going back to freelancing, and you’re going to resent me, Lockwood.”
“I already resent you,” he said. “It makes no difference to me whether I do it from a distance or the comfort of my own living room.”
A bad case and broken leg leave Lucy no choice but to return to Portland Row until she recovers. Lockwood is definitely not using this as an opportunity to persuade her to come back for good, because that would be unfair. And he never plays dirty.

LILITH
Tumblr media
WHO IS SHE?
In Demonic and Jewish culture, Lilith is the first Eve or wife of Adam, she refused Adams’ advances and attempts to subvert her power, independence, and inherent equality. She is the Queen of Demons and and the wife of Samael, from whom came the succubi. She is the Infernal Moon and Queen of the Infernal Sabbat. She does have an angelic aspect as well, that of being a protectress of mothers and children (duality). Her nature is that of feminine fertility, seduction, and the cycles of the Moon, and perhaps one of the reasons she is considered “evil” being her ability to seduce, to take what she wishes, and disregard those who displease her. She is feminine strength and individualized focus. As Samael (the Serpent) is considered, according to gender, to be the Daemon of Wizards and Warlocks, Lilith is the Patroness and Queen of Witches.
Lilith is the great mother and is also associated with fertility. Food offerings to Lilith should be ritually consumed without delay. Any offerings that are not consumed should be disposed of in a way that shows respect for the spirit of Lilith. For example, the offered food could be left outside for the animals to feed on, or it could be buried in the earth.
BASIC INFO:
Appearance: Lilith's appearance can vary depending on the artistic depiction or interpretation. Generally, she is portrayed as a beautiful and seductive figure, with long dark hair, large expressive eyes, and a seductive and sensual presence. She is often depicted as being bare-chested or wearing revealing clothing, and is often shown as a powerful seducer or seductress. Lilith's appearance is often designed to portray her as an alluring and alluring female figure, who is confident and unapologetic in her sexuality and independence.
Personality: Lilith is typically portrayed as a powerful and dominant figure, who is unapologetic in her sexuality and self-expression. She defies the conventional conventions of society and proudly flaunts her individualism. She is often interpreted as a symbol of the dark feminine, and is therefore linked to concepts such as passion, sexuality, independence, and freedom. She is also associated with independence and strength, and she is not afraid to take risks or speak her mind. Lilith embraces her power and sexuality, and revels in the freedoms that come with it.
Symbols: sword, pentagram, scythe, moon, dragon, snake, crossroad, dark moon, and pentacle

Crystals: amethyst, black onyx, rose quartz, garnet, obsidian, clear quartz, red jasper, jet, black moonstone, labradorite, red carnelian, tigers eye, amber, bloodstone, black tourmaline, arsenopyrite, and melanite garnet
Animals: black cats, snakes, owls, dogs, spiders, bats, and goats
Incense: frankincense, dragons blood, jasmine, sandalwood, rose, and black amber

Planets: Mars, Pluto, and Venus
Days: Monday, Friday, Beltane, Samhain, Walpurgis, Halloween, and Winter Solstice

MISC:
• Venus: is associated with love, beauty, sexuality, fertility, and femininity, all of which are key aspects of Lilith's spheres of influence.

• Shadows: Lilith is also associated with shadows and the darkness. In many traditions, the Underworld and the realm of the dead are associated with shadows and darkness. This is a reflection of Lilith's role as a Goddess of the Underworld and death, as well as her connection to the occult and the metaphysical realm.

• Stars and crescent: symbolizes her connection to female power and divinity.
• Her rebellious personality, fierce, and independent nature.
• Connections to the dark and mysterious forces of the night.
• Emotional disposition: Lilith's temperamental disposition and personality could also stem from her emotional temperament and internal feelings.
• Snake: she is sometimes depicted as half-woman, half-snake. This symbolizes her connection to the animal kingdom and her fierce and mysterious nature.
• Moon: often associated with Lilith's connection to femininity and the cyclical nature of the female body (menstruation, pregnancy, childbirth, menopause, etc).
• Purple: also a colour that often symbolizes Lilith's connection to her status as the great Goddess of femininity and female sexuality.
• Crown: Lilith is often depicted as a powerful and majestic Queen, clad in a crown and regalia. This symbolizes her status as a Goddess of power and leadership.
• Bow and Arrow: Lilith is sometimes depicted with a bow and arrow, symbolic of her power and strength and her ability to hunt and kill her enemies.

FACTS ABOUT LILITH:
• Role: Lilith is the "mother" of demons in Jewish folklore and is said to be the first woman, created from the same dust as Adam but before Eve.
• Origin: she is said to have been banished from the Garden of Eden for not following Adam's commands, and was cast out for being unruly and unwilling to submit.
• Name: Lilith is named after a Hebrew word for "night" or "dark" and is often associated with the night and the Underworld.
• Symbolism: the demon Lilin (also written Lilith, Lilitu, or Lillit) was originally used as the personification of night and darkness.
• Association with night: Lilith is often associated with the night and the darkness, and is believed to be the source of nightmares and evil dreams.
• Connection to demons: she is also believed to be the mother of many demons, including the succubus and the incubus.
• Relationship with Lucifer: Lilith is often associated with the fallen angel, Lucifer and in some versions of the story, they are depicted as being lovers.
• Connections: she is connected to the night demon Pazuzu as his female counterpart, and also to the night demon Lam(a).
• Beliefs: in Jewish mythology, Lilith was originally seen as a demonic figure responsible for infant mortality and miscarriages. The story of Lilith was used to reinforce the patriarchy's view of women as inferior and powerless.
• Evolution: Lilith has gone through many different interpretations and versions, but her status as a symbol of women's empowerment and liberation has been a consistent theme in modern times.
HOW TO WORK WITH LILITH:
To work with  Lilith, you should approach her with respect and humility. She is a powerful Goddess and has been known to punish those who do not treat her with proper respect. Offer prayers, libations, and offerings to her, and speak to her with respect, awe, and humility. She is a Goddess of darkness and femininity, so you can use the darkness or moonlight in your rituals to create a more intimate and sacred environment. You can also use black candles and other symbols of femininity to further connect with her.
PRAYER FOR LILITH:
To begin, you can address her by name and say something like:
"Mother Lilith, Lady of the Night, I humbly come before you in search of wisdom and knowledge. I seek enlightenment and freedom, and I am ready to release my fear and self-limiting beliefs. Please guide me on my path, and open my heart to the love and power that you bring. Let me find strength, passion, and purpose in my life, as I strive to live more intentionally and truly.”
"And now I bid you farewell, Mother Lilith. I acknowledge the blessings you have given me, and I thank you for your guidance and teachings. Hail to you, and may we cross paths again in the future. So be it, Hail Lilith.”
WHAT ARE SIGNS THAT LILITH WANTS ME TO WORK WITH HER?
If your request to work with Lilith has been accepted, here are some signs that you can look for:
• Strong connection or attraction to Lilith.

• Desire to explore your own dark side or find strength in your shadows.
• A feeling of being guided by a force outside yourself.
• Feeling of being called to a higher purpose or feeling like there is more to your life than just everyday existence.
If your request to work with Lilith has not been accepted, you may notice the following signs:
• Your intuition may lead you in a different direction and away from their teachings.
• Signs in your life may not align with their teachings or you may feel uneasy or uncertain regarding their energies.

IS IT SAFE TO EAT OR DRINK AN OFFERING I GIVE TO HER?
It is risky to consume offerings given to Lilith. She is often considered a powerful and protective entity associated with the nighttime energy and feminine aspects. Her energies may not be conducive to human consumption. She is also a symbol of rebelliousness and independence, and consuming offerings that have been given to her may cause an imbalance in energy and a disruption in the connection. It is always better to err on the side of caution and avoid eating or drinking offerings that were given to Lilith.

Good kinds of tea for me to try??
I’m glad you asked, please, sit down while I ramble away about my beloved known as tea :)
(Disclaimer: some of teas I’m thinking of might be specific to brands I can get here so sorry if one piques your interest but isn’t available) Long list ahead
Herbal Teas:
Mixed Berry Teas
Rose hip tea
Honestly any fruit tea haha
Chamomile
Apple chamomile warm fuzzy happy feels
Apple Cinnamon
Lemon Zinger: cold relief and soothing zingy taste beloved
Sleepy Time: soothing minty and just calm
Candy Cane Mint Tea
Gingerbread (holiday tea) high in cinnamon and very calming and soul warming :)
Pomelo Tea If you can get like a jar of pomelo, and mix it with water or black tea it’s kinda sweet and tangy. And, sore throat soother :)
Caffeinated
Lavender White Tea (iced) it has a bit of a slight oily feel that’s hard to get used to at first. But if you like the scent of lavender you’ll like it.
Genmaicha (brown rice and green tea) it’s kind hot an earthy taste, not everyone’s cup of tea, but one of my personal favourites. Also boosts impunity and had many gut & health benefits :)
Strawberry black tea or green tea (make your own and shove in the fridge) 2 tea bags got 1L of water, add some lemon slices/juice and strawberry purée or juice (or pineapple juice :)
Peach Green Tea
CHAI CHAI CHAI!
^ Add some milk and cinnamon too if you want :)
MATCHA try osuicha (thinner, less thick and strong) first if you’ve never tried matcha
(but also… uh, white stores sell like one type so stick with about one to two thumb sized scoops) SORRY FOR THE SHADE! it’s kinda true tho
GREEN TEA (do not leave your teabags in past 2 minutes, gets bitter at that point)
Oolong (taste is strong. Not for everyone) have with milk and brown sugar tho! It’s good that way too :)
Rooibos with a dash maple syrup
Classic Orange Pekoe/ English Breakfast with milk
MISC CATEGORY
ICED BARLEY TEA (grew up on this stuff in Taiwan haha ) idk if they sell that stuff here, but I love the light sweetness and it’s got this cooling effect (hence why it’s a summer drink)
WINTER MELON TEA. sweet kinda syrupy Taiwanese must have. Sorry…I doubt you could get it overseas, but look out for the condensed chunky block forms at Asian markets maybe? To cook a batch at home
Anyways, long tea ramble!! Try some out and hope you like them :)
