They had a lot of pressure to never have fun because it could ruin their future, but now they don't have a future, or a reputation, and they won't be great at any subjects anyway (since it's not their world and they are magicless) so they just decided to be a force of chaos, they can't be #1? Then why even try?

That's one way to go through life. He chooses to nap his life away, but if you wanna be a chaos gremlin, power to ya!

He says that, but he wants you to be less of a chaos gremlin, and more of a body pillow. Chaos gremlin ex gifted children, and depression ex gifted children get on like oil and water. *Sighs* you really make him work, don't you?

That said…he'll recruit Svanannaclaw lackies to your cause. And he'll find your lifestyle. You can cause as much chaos, and be as lazy as you want. All he wants in return is for you to return to his arms when you are done.

And hey, maybe he can be your new purpose- No! He didn't say anything! Sevens, your herbivore ears are so faulty, what is he gonna do with you?

He thinks you're another Floyd at first. The high levels of energy, followed by the drops, he's used to dealing with it.

But once he gets your origin story, he's going to make you an offer. Help him with his restaurants. He'll feed, clothe, and house you. All you have to do is say yes.

You can still be chaotic. You can still have your drops. But at least now you'll have a place to focus your energy. It's not much, but, in his opinion, it's a deal you can't walk away from. Please don't walk away from it. You'll hurt his feelings 😢

Maybe Jamil brought it up because he cared, maybe it's because he's tired of having to keep up with two gremlins it's definitely the latter but eventually he brings up that, hey, you seem a bit nihilistic. Explains what that is to Kelim, and now Kalim makes sure to spend double the time with you! Usually doing chaos stuff much to Jamil's chagrin

He won't bring it up with you, but his theory is that if he can become a reason for continuing on, of he can be part of your purpose, maybe things will be okay!

Ah Vil. A high achiever, who, like Riddle, is very distressed that you are clearly wasting your capabilities.

But let's say you have a breakdown. And during that breakdown you spill the tale of your life. He's gonna place his hands on your shoulders. Then aggressively shake you.

Pull yourself together! Do you want him to give you the pressure you had from before? Because he will if he has to! But he knows you don't want that, so snap yourself out of it and act like the Queen he knows you are! You have him, and a whole life ahead of you! He can help you find a purpose for your life! Now stop crying and drink your smoothie!

It might take a while for Idia to notice. Cause, well, he's sort of in the same boat as you. And noticing means he has to notice his own lifestyle choices...and...well...he doesn't want to do that.

So you both will live in innocent bliss as you game together, and nap together, and raid the pantry together at two in the morning, and skip classes together.

Once Ortho bursts the bubble, both of you will probably be placed in therapy. Good luck!

You amuse him to no end. And you speak to him like a normal person. You pull him along on adventures. Honestly? He has no desire to dig into your reasons for it. In fact, deep down he knows you're probably going through something, but he'd rather not know.

Which is why when Lilia tells him to dig into it, he pouts like a kid who was told to clean his room. Might even kick a rock around about it. He really looks like a pouting child.

But once he gets your life story, he'll perk up a bit. You want a purpose? He can give you one! Himself…I mean have you considered working in the libraries of the valley of thorns? It would give you uninhibited access to information about this world. Plus, you would still have the time to be lazy and fuck around if you wanted since he's really the only one who visits the library… oh, which library? His private one. Why do you ask?

Floyd won't help you. He will only enable you. He loves chaotic Shrimpy! He also loves that Shrimpy sometimes just wants to nap! You're perfect! His soulmate!

Nope, nope, nope, shrimpy is just like that, no need to ask questions!

Okay okay, how in the world Belle, in this chaotic gremlin's route, can still deny how charming this guy is. My MC would totally admit their admiration of Clavis quite quickly. Also I don't know if I can play Chev's route anymore after this, he was on a thin ice from the start, since I'm not too fond of his character type. And I'm feel like Clavis's route will be my favorite from all of them. My MC would follow this man to ends of the earth. If you insulted him, they would be ready to start a war. Heck, Cyran is a mood. I liked Nokto's route, but I would have hoped more interactions with Licht and see the relationship between the twins. Then I got that in Licht's route and I was happy. It was nice to see them develop and process their trauma together a bit. But Clavis's route just has very interesting moral thesis going on and it comes across so nicely in his character and ideals. He really feels like a very active character who exists outside of Belle.

Also I created a new sketch brush and I'm quite pleased with it ^^

I've been sitting on this for a while, but finally had to put it out there before I went insane! This Anon (me, I am that Anon) have already committed to that wonderful M&M route, but because I am a chaotic little gremlin, my brain threw this at me:

The jealousy that Milo feels towards Mal's relationship towards MC is slightly amusing to me. There were so many people that thought MC would be a third wheel. Oh, no no no. Milo's the third wheel.

He'll get over it. Once he becomes a little more secure in who he is. But Milo has been jealous of MC and Mal's relationship since before he even knew who MC was.

I honestly think that beyond Izuku-Ichigo bonding over MC woes this would then end up with Kisuke and Izuku bonding over being chaotic smart gremlins and Ichigo and Shouta bonding over having to run herd on their respective brainiacs.

You know, I'm just now realizing how many choices there are to simply be Silent. I really appreciate that. Whenever I decide to play Defiled Hearts, I always go for the emotional, reckless and rude MC- Yet in real life I tend to be quiet, so I decided to play again and see if it was possible be less responsive than explosive and to my surprise it was!!

I don't know how I never noticed I couldn't be more stoic and quiet. Maybe I got so used to playing the angry I want revenge route. That I never really paid attention to the fact, that I can play a whole different route lmao.

That being said This play feels different so far- now that I'm playing another type of MC. I also think I'm seeing dialogue that I have never seen before as well. Gosh, I love this IF.

Thank you so much! I keep referring to Hati as a chaotic gremlin, but we appreciate the stoic gremlins in this house, too. 🤍

Idk what it is about HSR but I am so much more attached to the MC’s compared to Genshin’s.

Like don’t get me wrong, Lumine and Aether’s story is compelling, I’m always a sucker for separated twins who just want to be reunited (that’s the only child in me crying to have a sibling)-

But like… idk how HSR did it, but I adore Caelus and Stelle so much? Like they really went and made it so the MC’s aren’t related, they’re just male/female version of the same character AND YET

It's their fourth third Valentine's Day together, and it looks a little different than the rest. Still, all is going well until Tobias drops a little bombshell.

Darkness had already settled over the City of Boston, but the Carrick family’s kitchen was still full of life. Casey was tableside, desperately trying to convince Samantha to finish her dinner, while Tobias finished off the dishes from their meal that ended a half-hour before. In the midst of it, Pietro chased a ball around the kitchen floor, repeatedly skidding into a wall. Tobias shook his head with a chuckle.

“You know I’m going to have to pad the wall, or Pietro’s going to end up with brain damage.”

He peered over his shoulder when Casey didn’t reply, only to find her twirling around the kitchen, to their daughter's delight. While Sammy happily babbled and clapped, the one thing she wasn’t doing was eating.

“Babe...” he said, bringing Casey's chaotic dancing to a halt.

“Uh.. yeah,” she stammered, slipping on her socked feet. “What did you say?”

“I said I need to pad the wall so Pietro doesn't keep slamming into it. But I think it might help you, too. What are you trying to do over there?”

“I’m trying to get our daughter to eat,” she sighed. “Bedtime’s in a half hour, and you know she won’t sleep long if she’s hungry.”

“True, and heaven knows we don't want any interruption tonight... but how is that Irish jig supposed to make her eat?”

Casey’s eyes met his, narrowing with both amusement and scorn. “It wasn’t an Irish jig! I was attempting to dance like Angelina Ballerina... I thought if I pirouetted these peas into her mouth, she just might take them.”

Tobias wordlessly turned off the faucet and dried his hands with a half smile. Walking over to the table, he took the spoon from Casey’s hand.

“Let me help.”

“I don’t know what you can do. It's been 30 minutes, and she hasn't eaten a thing. You're not going to..."

Casey’s jaw hung open as her husband began serenading their daughter, and the moment he started, she gleefully accepted her bits of chicken and strained peas.

“I’ve got sunshine... on a cloudy day... when it’s cold outside... I’ve got the month of May...” he crooned as his wife stood flabbergasted at his side.

“But... I don’t... how?”

“I don’t know, baby... I just have the magic touch. Ooh! Maybe I should sing The Platter’s instead.”

“You do that,” she huffed. “I’m going to take a quick shower.”

The thought of his beautiful wife stepping into their shower filled his head with less pure thoughts, and why not? It was Valentine’s Day, after all.

“Nice,” he grinned. “Then, after I get this adorable little gremlin to sleep, Mommy and Daddy can celebrate grown-up style.”

With a chuckle, she stopped at the door. “Valentine’s Day sure is different in the parenting era... isn’t it?”

“Sure is,” he said, scooping the last bit of food off Sammy’s plate. “But it’s still amazing.”

“Of course it is,” Casey teased. “You’ve got me and Sammy... and she obviously likes you much more than me.”

“That’s not true,” he insisted. “And if it is, it means our daughter has horrible taste.”

“Well, she does like those peas,” Casey shrugged, then she was on her way.

Sometime later, Casey trotted down the stairs to find their rose bedecked living room looking like a scene from a movie. Awash in a soft, golden glow. Tobias had scattered meticulously selected candles all around; only Casey's absolute favorites would do. After lighting the last one, he turned his attention to her, eyes full of desire.

“You like?” He smiled as she sunk into the plush cushions of their sofa.

“What’s not to like,” she beamed. “Everything is beautiful! I sure am a lucky woman.”

With a gentle growl, he crossed the room and bridged the space between them, his hands sliding over the soft curves he so adored. Casey held him close, quietly giggling as he peppered her with kisses. The sound of her laughter, combined with the warm vanilla-jasmine scent that was hers and hers alone, left him lightheaded; Casey made the man drunker than wine ever could.

"What are you doing?" She laughed.

"What do you think? Any objections?"

"No, Dr. Carrick,” she swooned. “Not a single one."

He pulled back slightly with a smile, mesmerized as he ran a hand through her hair. "You know, you're the best wife I’ve ever had."

"Oh, really," she raised a brow. "I was under the assumption I was your only wife unless you have a whopper of a secret you need to divulge."

"Well, now that you mention it...I sort of do."

“You do?” she asked, eyes widened. “Do you have another wife... of a big secret?”

“Only the latter,” he chuckled deeply, his lips descending just under her ear. “But we can talk about that later.”

But later, it came much quicker than he had expected when Casey sat upright and turned on the lamp beside her.

“What are you doing?” he gasped.

“Tobias, you may be married to one of the most incredible women in Boston, but I’m still a woman... and there is no woman on earth that’s just going to carry on like nothing has happened after her husband announces he has a big secret. So... if you want to get back to our previously scheduled activities... I suggest you spill... and spill fast.”

“Case,” he whispered, the seductively playful gaze that usually got him out of anything firmly in place. “I’m just teasing. Now, why don’t we....”

“... have a conversation about this secret, Dr. Carrick.” She crossed her arms defiantly. “What happened to you? You used to be so smooth.”

“Yeah,” he sighed, rubbing the back of his neck. “I guess I’m off my game.”

“Sleep deprivation will do that,” she smirked. “Now... your secret?”

Tobias shifted uncomfortably, finally settling, he took Casey’s hand in his.

“It’s not a secret, really. It's just something I’ve wanted to discuss.”

Her eyes silently urged him to continue.

“I just... I’ve been thinking. I’d really like us to have another baby.”

Casey sighed with relief. “Well, duh! That’s not a secret, Tobias! You’ve made it very clear you’d like enough children to start your own softball team. And while you’re not getting that many out of me, we’ve always said we’d have more someday.”

“Yeah,” he turned to her with puppy dog eyes. “What if that someday were, say... now.”

Casey pulled away. “Now? Now, as in... you want to try... now?”

“Why not,” she asked, scooting closer to her. "It would be a great story to tell our kid... you were conceived on Valentine’s Day.”

“Iww. First, no... no kid wants to hear that... and you mean, now?”

“Yeah. I mean, think about it. Even if we got lucky right away, we’d have to wait nine months for her to get here...”

“Wow, you know that? Looks like that Hopkins Med School degree really paid off...”

"Very funny," he smirked. "What I'm saying is we'd be looking at the end of the year. Sammy would almost be two...”

“She’d be a year and a half...”

“True, but... wouldn’t it be nice if our girls were close in age.”

“Girls?”

“Yeah, I'm pretty confident I don't make boys.”

"Babe," Casey laughed. "Are you being serious?”

“Do you think I’d interrupt Valentine’s Day sex if I wasn’t?”

“I don’t know,” she wondered. “It’s unlike you to interrupt any sex, so I guess you are serious.”

“And I take it you're not in agreement."

“Tobias,” she sighed, gently caressing his cheek. "You know I want to have another baby, but... now?"

“Sure... I mean it... I don't want the girls far apart in age. My brother and I had such a big age difference, and I'm not sure I want that for them. Besides, it’s not like money is an issue, and...”

Casey could tell there was more, so she gently pushed him along. “And?”

“And I’m going to be forty in five days.”

“Are you saying your bio clock is ticking.?”

“Wiseass," he grinned. "So, you're not on board."

“I’m... not... not right now. Sammy isn’t even a year old yet, and while I love being her mom and parenting with you... it’s not easy, Tobias. We’re both exhausted most of the time.”

“So, we can get more help. I’ll even let Ma come over more often.”

“Oh great! So then I can institutionalize you and have to raise two kids on my own? No, thank you.”

Taking in his small frown, Casey pulled him into a hug, gently kissing the top of his head as she caressed him.

“I know you’re going to be forty, but I’m only thirty-one... and if we’re honest, Sammy was a surprise. A wonderful surprise, but a surprise nevertheless. I figured we were a couple years away from considering having our first, and I’m not so sure I’m ready to be the mom of two just yet.”

“Yeah, and it would really be the mom of three if you count me.”

“Hey," she said, raising her hands. "You said it, not me! I’m not saying we have to wait forever... Sammy turns one in April, why don’t we revisit this conversation at the end of summer... and not right before we’re about to get busy.”

With an impish grin, he grabbed his phone from the coffee table.

"What are you doing?" She asked.

“Scheduling our conversation for Labor Day weekend... that's kind of appropriate if you think about it.”

Casey gently shoved him, falling back onto his lap in a fit of laughter. "You are too much.”

"I am, aren't I?" He smiled, leaning over to give her a soft kiss.

"OK. So we're not making a baby tonight... but we can still get in some practice?" Animatedly wagging his brows.

"Sure," Casey laughed. "I'm always down to practice... where would you like me?"

Tobias bit his lower lip and eagerly flipped on top of her.

"Right here... I'm not waiting. Happy Valentine's Day, baby."

"Happy Valentine's Day," she replied. "But no baby yet, sir!"

to give my general opinion on the whole “wyldfyre gets a boyfriend thing” I have high hopes because Ninjago has my favourite straight ships because jaya is amazing and pixan was my otp from this show for years until recently. I think worst case scenario he ends up being not a great match for wyldfyre and then he disappears for next season like Skyler and Vania and we end up just shipping her with Euphrasia and/or sora AND BEST CASE SCENARIO we get wholesome nerdy simp with weird taste in romance and a chaotic gremlin who’s trying to pretend she’s not an awkward mess and Kai who goes from an overprotective dad to recreating the toothless flirting scene in two minutes and we get a new mc who sticks around pix and frog man (I forgot his name I’m so sorry) I can totally see this flopping but with how well season 1 of dr was and how non problematic canon ships (that aren’t lloyd & harumi) are in this show I think it’s gonna fine

I adore Monkey D. Luffy as a protagonist so much, it's not even funny. He is such a wonderfully written character that fully shattered all of my expectations of him when I first started the series 6ish months back (shoutout to the live action series for actually being good and getting me to take that jump).

Like, the main thing holding me back from the series wasn't even the episode/chapter count, I powered through shit like Supernatural and Doctor Who as a kid, long series don't intimidate me all that much. What did stop me from watching it was my assumption that Luffy was going to be a 'typical' Shonen protag, whose main character trait would be being really strong and not much else. I was expecting him to be a flat audience stand in that the young teen boy demographic it was originally aimed for could project their power fantasies onto. I was expecting a stereotypical hero's journey paired with an everyman protagonist.

Which is why when when that trope was completely subverted in the first chapter of the magna/when we learn about his first backstory in general, I was pleasantly surprised. Shanks doesn't take Luffy under his wing, isn't the person who brings Luffy into the world of pirates, Luffy is the one who sets off alone after Shanks refuses to take him, leaving Luffy to his devices to pursue his dreams.

An issue I have with the hero's journey is that it feels formulaic to the point of robbing the MC of agency (obviously not all stories that follow the hero's journey do this, it's just a semi-common pattern I've noticed) . The mentor figure brings the protag into the strange new world, often times without the protag knowing anything about the new world they are entering, and in many cases, did not actively choose to enter. Which is why having a protagonist like Luffy, who is very active in his own story, who decides for himself to be a pirate, and who has strong and consistent characterization to explain his decisions and actions is so nice to see.

A small, silly little moment that really exemplifies this for me is real early on when it's just Luffy and Zoro in the little dingy, and Luffy attempts to catch that bird and instead gets carried off by it to Orange Town. Like, it was obviously a plot device to get the Luffy and Zoro from point A to point B, but instead of having the bird swoop down and snatch up Luffy, making him passive in that moment, Oda has Luffy be the one to engage with the bird first. It's such a small detail, but really stands out to me as an early example of Luffy's decisions directly leading plot advancement.

Anyways, love Luffy. He is my favorite chaotic little gremlin who will now forever be bouncing around in my head like a game of Pong.
