while playing the masquerade event i was hit with the realization that the students from nrc are quite literally the terrible tourists rollo was talking about. and im almost CERTAIN they've been just as bad every other event. like you have ruggie who was about to steal a shops hard earned money, you have epel and deuce that were saying their bread wasn't special before even trying it, you have ruggie AGAIN saying that the historic toys they make are just chunks of wood and don't have any value. these people suck and should not be permitted to travel. all they're doing is making a nuisance of themselves.

Eric Albuja Tips for Making Your Dream Trips Affordable
Tumblr media
Have you ever scrolled through Instagram, envy bubbling up as you see your friends jet-setting across the globe, exploring exotic destinations, while you're stuck at home counting pennies? Well, fret no more, because Eric Albuja, the master of affordable travel, is here to spill his secrets on how to turn those dream trips into reality without breaking the bank.
Plan Ahead, Be Flexible:
Eric Albuja's first golden rule is to plan but stay flexible. Keep an eye out for flight deals and accommodation offers months in advance. Being flexible with your travel dates can save you a significant amount of money, as prices tend to fluctuate depending on the time of year and day of the week.
Travel Off-Peak:
Avoiding peak travel seasons can be a game-changer when it comes to saving money. Eric Albuja Roanoke Tx recommends traveling during shoulder seasons or off-peak times when tourist destinations are less crowded, and prices are more wallet-friendly.
Embrace Budget Accommodations:
Forget about luxury hotels with hefty price tags. Instead, opt for budget accommodations such as hostels, guesthouses, or vacation rentals. Not only are these options more affordable, but they also provide a more authentic travel experience by allowing you to immerse yourself in the local culture.
Cook Your Meals:
Eating out every meal can quickly drain your travel budget. Eric Albuja suggests shopping at local markets and grocery stores to cook your meals, especially breakfast and lunch. Not only is this a more budget-friendly option, but it also allows you to try local ingredients and flavors.
Use Public Transportation:
Skip the pricey taxis and rental cars and opt for public transportation instead. Buses, trains, and subways are not only more affordable but also allow you to experience your destination like a local. Plus, you'll save money on gas and parking fees.
Take Advantage of Free Activities:
You don't have to spend a fortune to have a good time while traveling. Eric Albuja recommends researching free or low-cost activities and attractions in your destination. Whether it's exploring parks and museums or hiking scenic trails, there are plenty of ways to enjoy yourself without breaking the bank.
Travel with a Group:
Sharing expenses with friends or family can significantly reduce the cost of your trip. Consider traveling with a group and splitting the price of accommodations, transportation, and meals. Not only will you save money, but you'll also create unforgettable memories with your travel companions.
Earn and Redeem Travel Rewards:
Make the most of the travel rewards programs airlines, hotels, and credit card companies offer. Eric Albuja Dallas TX suggests signing up for loyalty programs and using rewards points to offset the cost of flights, accommodations, and other travel expenses. Remember to pay off your credit card balance in full each month to avoid accruing interest.
Stay Open-Minded:
Finally, Eric Albuja encourages travelers to stay open-minded and embrace the unexpected. Sometimes the best experiences happen when you least expect them, so don't be afraid to stray from your itinerary and explore off the beaten path.
By following these tips from Eric Albuja, you can make your dream trips a reality without breaking the bank. So, what are you waiting for? Start planning your next adventure today and prepare to create memories that will last a lifetime.

Unlocking Boundless Conversations: English to Bengali Translation Tips
English to Bengali Translation: Have you ever wanted to learn more about the rich culture and language of Bengali but couldn’t because you didn’t speak the language? Don’t worry anymore! You can translate between English and Bengali if you know a few key words and phrases. This will open up a world of interesting talks, exchanges, and experiences.
Understanding the Nuances: Dialects and Formalities
Bengali is spoken by more than 265 million people around the world, and it has a lot of different accents. Standard Bengali is the main form, but Dhakaiya, Sylheti, and Rangpuri are regional forms that add their own styles. When translating, you should think about the people you want to reach and pick an accent that works well for them. Bengali also has different levels of politeness that change based on the situation. Don’t sound rude by forgetting to use proper names and honorifics.
Beyond the Literal: Cultural Context is Key
When it comes to local differences and idioms, direct word-for-word translation doesn’t always work. It is very important to know what words, proverbs, and cultural references mean in their original context. For instance, translating “তোমার মাথা খারাথ?” as “Is your head bad?” is not the same as translating it as “Are you crazy?” To get around these problems, using cultural guides and asking local speakers for advice can be helpful.
Embrace the Power of Technology: Tools for Seamless Communication
While human translators are very helpful, technology can also be used to make things easier. For basic knowledge, use online translation tools. But remember to be careful when you use them because they might miss small details. You could also use language learning apps like Duolingo or Memrise to learn new words and how sentences are put together.
Mastering the Art of Listening: Active Engagement is Crucial
There is more than one way to translate. Pay attention to tone of voice, body language, and other nonverbal cues when you talk to someone in Bengali. Ask questions to make things clearer, and don’t be afraid to ask for help if you’re not sure about something. This shows that you’re interested and makes the link stronger.
Building Bridges with Patience and Respect
Don’t forget that learning a language is a process, not a goal. Accept your mistakes and enjoy the little wins. Understand that conversation takes work from both of you and be patient with the Bengali person you’re talking to. Respect each other’s ethnic differences and try to keep an open mind in every encounter.
Beyond Translation: Immersing Yourself in the Language
If you want to really understand Bengali, you need to spend a lot of time speaking it. Pay attention to the grammar and flow as you watch Bengali movies and listen to music. Start by reading easy versions of Bengali writing and work your way up to reading the original works. Talk to expert speakers, either online or in person, to improve your skills and learn about their habits.
UNLOCKING THE DOOR TO A NEW WORLD
If you follow these tips, English to Bengali Translation will no longer be a chore but a key that opens up a world of options for you. Learn the rich cultural tapestry of Bengali language and make real links with people who speak it. Remember that the trip is just as enjoyable as the goal. So start exploring today and find all the talks that are waiting to happen!

Blog 5: My mom's love for nature
This week's freelance writing is a chance for me to write about my mom and what she taught me about nature. Approximately a month ago, my mother received a breast cancer diagnosis, which dramatically reshaped my world. She has always possessed a deep love for the outdoors, often expressing it by hugging trees at the park and relishing the sensation of walking barefoot on grass.
My mom is the reason why I take my phone out and take photos of random flowers I see. I guess all moms are obsessed with flowers. Your mom loves flowers too, right?
She has an incredible affection for the natural world, evident in her daily routine of visiting the park before work. She brings homemade food for the stray cats, ensuring their well-being, and sits with them, making sure they eat well.  She visited Canada two months ago and fell in love with "Lawrence Park" in Midtown Toronto
Tumblr media
As I said I live in Toronto and I have a 2 hour and a half trip to the University a couple of times a week. The road from Toronto to Guelph is one the best things I have ever seen; we drive past Georgetown, Halton Hills etc. I send my mom pictures of the route every time and with the arrival of fall, her admiration for the ombre hues of the maple trees in red, yellow, and green has grown bigger.
I know that nature is wild and have witnessed how a beautiful deer gets chased by a coyote in National Geographic. I know that animals have to find shelter and food in the brutality of the northern winter, but it still feels unfair to have a close family member diagnosed with cancer. It seems as if we subconsciously don’t expect bad things to happen to us.
I know my mother is a fighter, as she's always been. Nevertheless, this diagnosis has fundamentally shifted my perspective and has encouraged me to view the world with greater depth. During my former bus trips to Guelph, I would often remain glued to my phone scrolling, but since learning about my mother's condition, these two hours have transformed into moments of quiet contemplation as I gaze out the window and think. When I do engage with my phone, it's usually to capture something special for my mom.I have posted a few pictures that I recently captured so that you can enjoy them too.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
These days, I think about the cycle of life; I think about the fact that some trees are so old that they grow over fences and become part of a metal fence. I think about how a beautiful bird like Blue Jay lives a short period of 7 years It's fascinating to realize that, despite our differences, we all undeniably share the experience of "departure" from this planet. Whether we are a maple leaf, a squirrel on campus, a bus driver, or a passenger on the bus this commonality unites us.
I think the best way to cherish every minute and to really grasp the nature around us is to capture every moment of it. I think it is important to keep this art alive in a fast-paced world that favours videos and pop culture over a candid, raw picture of a dew-covered leaf.
Tumblr media
I hope my reflections haven't cast a shadow on your day or caused you to feel down. As I am writing this I feel more alive than ever and I have opened the window to feel the crisp fresh air of this cold October while I listen to American Beauty by Thomas Newman on repeat.
I am excited to read your Blog 5 and see what has been on your mind and how you spent your study break and Thanksgiving.

What It Takes To Be A World Travel Writer
Tumblr media
If you're thinking about embarking on a world travel adventure, you'll want to know what it takes to be a world traveler. In this article, we will look at the different aspects of being a world traveler so that you can make an informed decision about whether or not this is the type of adventure for you.
What is a years-long world traveler?
A years-long world traveler has spent over a year traveling around the world. These types of travelers usually have extensive knowledge about different cultures and customs and an appreciation for all kinds of places across the globe. They often take their time in each destination, immersing themselves in the local culture and exploring new experiences. World travelers are often motivated by curiosity and wanderlust, making them some of the most intrepid explorers! These individuals always want to discover something new, from eating street food to visiting famous landmarks to learning new languages. Additionally, they frequently become advocates for global understanding and social change through their stories—proving that one person can make a difference on this planet!
How to be a world traveler?
There are a few things that you need to be a world traveler. You need some money saved up, some skills, and a bit of luck. It's also important to have an open mind and an adventurous spirit. Here are a few tips on how to become a world traveler:
1. Save money – One of the best ways to become a world traveler is to save money. This means saving enough money to afford your travels and not having to worry about anything else. If you can, try to get into the habit of saving as much as possible each month for more money when it comes time for your trip.
2. Have some skills – Another thing you need to be a world traveler is some skills. If you don't have any skills, you'll likely need to learn something before traveling. This could include learning how to cook different types of food, speak another language fluently, or fix things around the house. These skills will make your travels much easier and help you feel more comfortable while away from home.
3. Have an adventure spirit – Finally, an adventurous spirit is one of the most important things for becoming a world traveler. This means being willing to try new things and explore new places without always knowing what might happen next. If this sounds like something that interests you, then be sure to cultivate this mindset before traveling. Doing so will make your travels a lot more enjoyable and allow you to see many different parts of the world.
What are the main things you need to know to be a world traveler?
The first thing to consider when embarking on a world-traveling adventure has the right attitude. It's important to keep an open mind and be prepared for anything that comes your way. As you travel, expect to experience cultures and different ways of life and be ready to adapt quickly. Another key element in being a successful world traveler is understanding your budget and staying within it. It's easy to get carried away while exploring new places, and spending beyond your means can put a damper on any vacation! Ensure you have researched all costs to avoid overspending or going into debt during the journey. Finally, safety should always be a priority during any trip abroad. Stay informed about local laws and customs through research before arriving at each location, purchase insurance if possible as it can provide peace of mind throughout your travels, and make sure someone knows where you are going every step of the way just in case something goes wrong along the way.. With these tips in place, anyone can easily enjoy their years-long journey around the globe!
Conclusion
If you dream of exploring the world, it is time to start planning your journey. A years-long world travel writer shares some advice on what it takes to make that dream a reality. From packing for every climate imaginable to budgeting for every expense, this traveler has tips and tricks to help make your trip successful. So put away those tourist brochures and get ready to see the world – one destination at a time!

TRAVEL TIPS:
Research your destination: Before you start packing your bags, it's important to do some research about your destination. This will help you to understand the local culture, customs, and any potential safety concerns. It will also give you an idea of what to expect from the weather and will help you to pack appropriately.
Make a packing list: A packing list will help you to stay organized and ensure that you don't forget any essential items. Make a list of everything you need to bring, including clothes, toiletries, documents, and any other items you might need. Be sure to check the weather forecast for your destination and pack accordingly.
Consider your travel budget: Travel can be expensive, so it's important to consider your budget before you start planning your trip. Research the cost of flights, accommodation, transportation, and activities at your destination to get an idea of what you can expect to spend. Make a budget and try to stick to it as closely as possible to avoid overspending.
Make copies of important documents: Before you leave, make copies of your passport, travel insurance documents, and any other important documents you might need while you're away. Keep one set of copies with you and leave another set with a trusted friend or family member. This will give you peace of mind and ensure that you have access to important information if anything happens to your original documents.
Learn a few basic phrases in the local language: Even if you don't become fluent in the local language, learning a few basic phrases can go a long way in helping you to communicate with locals and make your trip more enjoyable. It's also a sign of respect to make an effort to speak the local language, and locals will often appreciate the effort.
Respect local customs and traditions: It's important to respect the local customs and traditions of the place you are visiting. This includes things like dress code, customs around food and drink, and social norms. Understanding and respecting local customs will help you to fit in and have a more authentic travel experience.
Tumblr media
Stay safe: Safety should be a top priority when you are traveling. Research the local laws and customs, and be aware of any potential safety concerns. Keep your personal belongings close to you and be mindful of your surroundings. If you are traveling alone, let someone know where you are going and when you will be back.
Stay healthy: Traveling can be hard on your body, so it's important to take care of yourself. Pack any necessary medications and be sure to stay hydrated. Eat a balanced diet and try to get enough sleep to help keep your energy levels up. If you are traveling to a place with a different time zone, be mindful of jet lag and try to adjust to the local time as quickly as possible.
Be flexible: Travel rarely goes according to plan, and it's important to be flexible and go with the flow. Don't get too attached to your itinerary and be open to changes and unexpected experiences. This will help you to enjoy your trip and make the most of any unexpected opportunities that come your way.
Have fun: Above all, the most important thing is to have fun and make the most of your trip. Don't stress too much about the details and remember to relax and enjoy the experience.

Obey Me! Headcanons - The Demon Brothers react to a MC who owns a golden retriever 🐕
Author’s note: I'm home :3 Feel free to reblog, but please do not repost!! If you enjoy my writing, do leave me a like and/or a comment (and follow me to see similar content in the future :D)!
_____
Lucifer ☕
• When your dog first bounds over to greet Lucifer, it’s difficult to tell if the eldest born is a fan of your four-legged pal or not. The Avatar of Pride scrutinizes the ball of fluff as if he were a judge on a dog show —all the while as your dog vibrates impatiently by the front door with a tennis ball in its mouth. Perhaps it senses the need to be on its best behaviour if it’s to impress Lucifer.
• “A pet is a responsibility, not a novelty. I sincerely hope that you thought long and hard about the obligations of a pet owner before you went ahead with your decision to adopt. That being said, you appear to be doing quite well with your four-legged companion —they’re very well behaved. I have absolutely no qualms with you taking over Cerberus’s care when you return to the House of Lamentation; clearly you’d manage much more elegantly than my brothers. Perhaps Cerberus would enjoy the company of your charming pooch as well…”
• So Lucifer does like your dog. Not an entirely surprising revelation, if you’ve seen how he behaves around Cerberus in private. The strict no-nonsense archdemon turns into the softest dog owner that you’d ever have the pleasure of meeting; he’s all ear scritches and belly rubs. By the end of his visit, your dog is blissfully rolling on the carpet by Lucifer’s feet as the Avatar of Pride informs it over and over again that it is indeed “a good dog”.
• Perhaps you’ll even catch the small —but genuine— smile twitching at the corners of Lucifer’s lips as he does so.
Mammon 💳:
• In hindsight, perhaps giving Mammon a heads up about the presence of your pooch would have been a good idea.
• Despite your numerous attempts to reassure Mammon that the furry ball of enthusiasm barreling towards him is a Good Dog™, the terrified shriek that escapes the Avatar of Greed is shrill and ear-splitting enough to shatter your windows (Metaphorically speaking, of course. Rest assured, no windows were harmed in the writing of this headcanon.). When your dog leaps at him to nudge its head into his hand for scritches™ and headpats™, Mammon’s life flashes before his eyes. The only image that he can bring to mind before he passes out cold on your carpet is Cerberus’s terrifying snarl.
• When Mammon comes to, your dog is sitting on his chest —looking concerned and suitably chastised for accidentally scaring the living daylights out of the demon. (Even though Mammon refuses to come clean about how terrified he was. “The great Mammon? Afraid of a lil’ dog? W-What...What are ya talkin’ about? I wasn’t scared!”) The events that occurred over the last couple of minutes play on a loop in Mammon's mind. It finally dawns on him that your dog isn’t the ferocious beast that his imagination had conjured up, and his cheeks flush scarlet.
• Please give your demon a hug. I think he needs one. Or several.
Leviathan 🎮:
• If Leviathan had a pet ranking system, Henry 1.0 and Henry 2.0 would always claim the highest spots possible —the S-tiered, 5-star gods of the pet world. No golden retriever could ever worm its way to the top and snatch his love for them from under his feet. Sorry. But your dog is pretty cute, he’ll give you that.
• Too cute, maybe. Hey...um...you don’t love your dog more than you love him, right? What? Him, the Avatar of Envy, jealous? No! Of course not! Why would you make such an outrageous assumption? He’s not jealous —an adorable fluff ball of enthusiasm for the outdoors and joy is a way better than an icky otaku, after all. Leviathan doesn’t blame you for choosing your dog over him. Any sane individual would do the same...
• When you finally manage to reassure your demon that your dog is in no way competition for the affection that you hold for him, —he’ll always be your favourite demon, even if you have a dog. Even if you have a hundred dogs. Nothing is going to change that— he begins looking at your pooch in a different light. That’s right —as a potential cosplay partner. There’s this new anime that’s been released recently...Levi was wondering if you had heard of it? It’s titled: My Partner Is The Proud Owner Of A Golden Retriever And I’m An Otaku Who Enjoys The Simple Pleasure Of Collecting Merchandise and Cosplaying. One of the main characters happens to own a golden retriever as well, and if you’re willing to give him your blessing (the irony, I know), perhaps you’d lend him your pooch for an afternoon of cosplay and photography?
Satan 📚:
• Satan is a cultured demon who enjoys the company of four-legged companions, but he’s admittedly a fan of felines...not canines. Still, he prides himself on keeping an open mind towards new experiences, so he agrees to spend an afternoon with you and your dog (Even though he’d much rather be attending the opening day ceremony of the Devildom’s newest cat cafe. The things he does for love.).
• He performs some through research before meeting your dog for the first time; spending afternoon after afternoon in the sanctuary of his room reading about dogs and how to care for them. No number of books could prepare him for the real thing, however. When Satan first comes over to spend the afternoon in your home, he’s stiff and awkward —unsure of what to do with a dog. He ends up spending the first hour on your couch, sipping tea and spouting facts about golden retrievers.
• Show him the rope that your dog enjoys playing tug-of-war with, or the tennis ball that it insists on carrying in its jaws everywhere it goes. It takes a while for Satan to warm up to your pooch, but he’ll gradually learn to love —or at the very least, tolerate— your canine companion, even though he still firmly believes in the superiority of cats. Speaking of which, you’d accompany him on a date to that new cat cafe, right?
Asmodeus 💋:
• Oh! Your golden retriever is absolutely adorable! And gorgeous too —albeit not as beautiful as him, but that’s to be expected. There’s not a single individual in all of the three realms that could match up to his beauty. And your dog has such luscious fur too...dear Diavolo, he’d kill to have a haircare routine that’s as effective on his locks.
• Would you be willing to take a photo of him posing with your pooch? It’s for his Devilgram followers, of course —such beauty must be shared with the world, no? You’re not entirely sure if Asmo’s referring to his beauty, your dog’s beauty, or the shared, collective beauty of him and your dog. It doesn’t particularly matter. The two (three?) of you end up spending the entire afternoon orchestrating an impromptu photoshoot, and then spending the evening editing the photographs from said shoot for Devilgram.
• Generally gets along with your four-legged companion like a house on fire. There’s just one, itsy-bitsy issue.
• Your dog sheds. A ton. No matter how often you brush its fur, or how many boundaries you set about it not being allowed on the furniture, it seems determined to shed every carpet, sofa and bed that you own. Asmo never stops whining about the copious amounts of fur that now decorate every article of clothing he owns, but at least your dog seems happy to be able to leave its mark —on Asmo’s ensembles, of course, but also his heart.
Beelzebub 🍔:
• Corporate has asked you to find the difference between this picture and this picture—
• Asmo gets along well with your dog. Beel gets along with your dog even better. As one of the few only brothers who’s willing to spend any amount of time with Cerberus (granted, most of the time he’s only doing so because he’s been promised free food), Beel has grown into quite the dog lover. Your dog seems thrilled to be in the company of someone who appears to wholeheartedly enjoy its company —your dog is thrilled by the company of anyone who’s willing to give it their time of day, but still— and Beelzebub is thrilled to be in the company of a four-legged companion who appears to wholeheartedly enjoy his company. Beel is happy to spend whole afternoons playing with your dog...interspaced with the occasional snack break, of course.
• Speaking of which, Beel very much struggles with not giving into your golden retriever’s extremely convincing puppy dog eyes. Objectively, he knows that giving your dog human (or demon) food is a terrible idea —the last thing he wants is to be the reason that your dog has to take a trip to the vet. But your dog is so cute! And it’s looking at his food with such an intense longing in its eyes...Beel can relate to that. Surely a little nibble wouldn’t hurt…
• When you find yourself having to tell Beel off, suddenly you find yourself at the receiving end of 2 sets of puppy dog eyes; both Beel and your pupper are very sorry. They swear it’ll never happen again! Please don’t be upset…
• How are you supposed to stay mad at them?
Belphegor 🛏:
• ...listen.
• It’s not that he hates dogs. Honestly! He likes dogs as much as the next demon! But they can be loud and yappy and so incredibly energetic, and your golden retriever is more hyper than most. It always wants to go on walks, or play fetch, or make him throw its favourite tennis ball over and over again but refuse to hand it over so he has to engage in a slobbery game of tug-of-war to steal the ball from it —it’s just too much for the Avatar of Sloth. Just watching your dog zip across the room in a display of its endless amounts of energy is enough to tire Belphie out...is playtime over yet? He just wants to take a nap.
• Makes multiple attempts to talk you into allowing Beel to look after your dog. Just for an afternoon! His twin certainly has the energy to keep your hyperactive pup entertained for the whole day, and since you can be assured that your dog is well taken care of, perhaps the two of you could finally stay inside for once and take a nice, long nap. It’s been too long since he’s gotten to hold you in his arms…
• By the time Beel returns your dog to you, it’s all tuckered out from its day of adventures. As you’re thanking Beel for looking after your dog for the day, you catch him chuckling softly at something over your shoulder —Belphie and your furry friend, dozing off together on the couch. They appear to finally be getting along.
BONUS: I'm still not terribly comfortable with adding the (former) undatables to my writing repertoire, but my partner happens to be very fond of the demon butler...and I happen to be very fond of them. So just this once, just to see how it goes...
Barbatos 🍵:
• Oh? So this is the sweet bundle of fur that he’s heard so much about. It’s a pleasure to meet them at long last. Barbatos has always been fond of dogs, and your dog is quite an endearing creature to say the least...it actually reminds Barbatos of Cerberus when he was a puppy. How time flies.
• Treats your dog as if it were an esteemed guest of the castle. As long as Barbatos is around, you needn’t lift a finger when it comes to the care of your beloved pet. Keeping your dog fed and watered? Barbatos has it covered; the butler seems to have an in built in timer when it comes to feeding your dog —Barbatos serves its meals at exactly 6 in the morning and 6 in the evening. Not a minute early, not a minute late. When taking your dog out on walks, he carries a spare bottle of water for the sole purpose of offering it to your dog if it gets thirsty. Speaking of walks...Barbatos is more than happy to escort your pooch on walks in the event that you’re unavailable to do so yourself. Barbatos generally allows your golden to lead the way on their excursions, and is content with following along behind it to keep it out of trouble for however long it wishes to remain outdoors. If it were to tire itself out, Barbatos takes your dog into his arms and carries it the rest of the way home.
• Your pooch becomes very spoiled very quickly. It’s unclear if you’ve gained a butler...or if your dog has.

friend i have loved all the nabatean byleth hcs you've shared so i'd LOVE to see some of the ones you haven't shared yet!!! :D (only if you want of course!)
Gladly! So language nerd me has a whole thing where Byleth is actually taught the Nabatean language by Seteth and Rhea because he only has fragments from Sothis. Seteth has experience teaching Flayn how to write it (not speak it since Nabatean was her first language most likely) and teach about the culture so this is only slightly new, but Rhea does not (unless she taught Sitri but I'm still on the fence on that one) and she's downright giddy at the idea of teaching Byleth all about Nabatea. He's a pretty fast learner on account of Sothis luckily so it's almost like a refresher course on things he just forgot. Rhea does something she hasn't done in a very long time and takes Byleth to Zanado to explain what the city was like on her own terms in ways that she only can in Nabatean. The trip does help them both through putting Byleth's mind and memories at ease, and letting Rhea have just a bit of closure through just being able to talk about it to, essentially, a lost family member. He also has a much easier time talking to Indech and Macuil since both of them express themselves best in their native language.
Byleth also connects a lot with those two through them helping him with the dragon stuff. Just flying across the desert with Macuil and swimming in the lake with Indech does wonders of getting them to open up . They, along with Rhea too, help him control his transformation along with just his mobility in dragon form. Indech and Byleth particularly get along cause both of them don't speak much so they can just sit together next to the lake in utter silence just enjoy each other's company and they like that.
Bonus for Nabatean Morfis idea, post-Azure Moon. When word reached Morfis about everything that happened in Fódlan during the war to say they were shook would be an understatement. They have only just started opening up so they didn't actually know about Seiros and everything, but the description of the "avatar of the Goddess"/new archbishop being suspiciously similar to a Nabatean in appearance catches their attention. Morfis decides to take a leap of faith and send a delegation to King Dimitri and the Church.
Lo and behold when they get to Fhirdiad and see the Archbishop and holy mother that's Cichol jaws are collectively dropped. Needless to say, Byleth and the rest of the Nabateans quickly make a trip to Morfis to see what's going on. All of them are so relieved to see that even small portion of the Nabateans managed to survive, and the sheer joy that comes from seeing the civilization they've built in Morfis is indescribable. The older Morfisians are so happy to see friends they thought they lost centuries ago. Byleth also has a much easier time revealing the truth using documents from Morfis that corroborates the 'revelations' he's getting from Sothis, and forges a really close bond with the normally closed of City of Illusion.
The connection with Morfis allows for the Relics to be given proper burials too. Dimitri is able to commission traditional Nabatean weapons from Morfis that correspond to Crests a la Seiros' Sword, the Sword of Moralta, etc. Burying the Relics is just the right thing to do and having these new weapons allows them to permanently retire them without concern or fuss from the nobility or general public. This probably does come after a few years of rapport with Morfis and they are able to find blacksmiths willing to do the work if it means the Relics will never be used again.

Finding my Si: a submission
I’d like to share 6 things that helped me discover my Si and how Charity’s advice helped me, in case it helps anyone else :)
1.It helps when friends and family tell you what they think your dominant function is. Like a fish not realizing the water is wet, it’s so normal that it’s invisible to you. My mum picked Si the minute I asked her which function described me best; she said, ‘You trust your personal experiences and refer back to them all the time; it’s like an anchor for you. You rely on the past to get you through the present.’ One by one, my friends picked the same, pointing to how I recollect everything from the date we first met to changes in their food preferences to the color of the shirt they wore one Monday morning. I never realized the enormity of the storehouse of detail in my head until they pointed out that not everyone treasures memory-keeping in the same way. I wouldn’t say Si memory is photographic; for me, it’s more like a fisherman’s net, where I gather in what matters to me. I see a living mosaic of past and present when I look at people and places I love.
2. Being willing to question my own assumptions. An unflinching look at what I actually do, not what I think I do.
I considered Ni when I thought of goals I’ve set. For example, I got into the same UK university at 18 that I’d loved at age 14. This story initially sounded as though I’d had a clear future vision, and never let go of the dream (Ni). However, I’d left out winding twists and turns in between. At 16, I was captivated by a Canadian university and considered going there for a while; at 17, I considered studying in New York. Eventually, I applied to a bunch of unis and got an offer from the original ‘dream one’ in England. It was the best offer and I’d remained fond of it, so I wound up going. I was pleased, but I’d been open to other unis and happy to go to them too. After reading the perspective of actual Ni-users on their laser-sharp vision, I realized mine wasn’t as unwavering, intense and single-minded.
Instead, I realized that the reason I treasure this story -  'I visited my uni when I was just a kid and then got to go there for good!’ - is that I liked being able to link my childhood self and adult self. I enjoy connecting the past and present and spotting continuity and change ('Back then, I did this…now I still do this…and I don’t do this….’). My mind always traces back to how things were, which spills over into dinner-table family conversations ('Do you remember when…?’/'You know how we used to…?’). I realized that this type of personal mythologizing and cherishing a living past is Si. I can set goals and work meticulously in a step-by-step IFJ way, but it is not a dominant personality trait in the strikingly single-minded, futuristic, visionary way that is Ni. For anyone considering Ni, I recommend looking up mbti-notes and Charity’s explanations here, as it is a very complex function and it helps to understand exactly how it works.
3. Painful honesty. Confronting flaws isn’t fun. However, as Charity says, it helps to think of pairs (Si-Ne, Ne-Si or Ni-Se) rather than functions in isolation.
I tried to determine which flaw I could most relate to: inferior Te, inferior Se, or inferior Ne.
I couldn’t identify with inferior Te because I’ve always been a careful planner and organizer; even my third-grade report cards said, ‘She loves being efficient and organizing her little space!’ Today, I have multiple administrative responsibilities at work and genuinely enjoy it. There’s something about streamlining systems and attending to details that feels satisfying (dorky, I know). I could not relate to inferior Se either, as sensory engagement has always been a big part of my life. Whether it’s dancing or nature hikes or cooking, hands-on hobbies have always been so core to me that I often find myself feeling one with the natural environment, rather than uncomfortable with it. I haven’t had reckless moments characteristic of inferior Se. But inferior Ne - those descriptions embarrassed me.
As Charity says, if something makes you go ‘ouch’, it might hit the nail on the head.
I thought I had good Ne because I can see multiple perspectives. But this is more a 9 and 2 influence ('Staying open-minded helps to understand people, help them, and resolve conflict’) and a skill honed through my job in peace-building. What trips me up are the problems plaguing inferior Ne users. Newness and novelty feels hard. My 9 probably plays into it, but in general I am not good at out of the box thinking and brainstorming dozens of different approaches. Despite my 2-9 positive outlook, I usually feel fearful of the unknown and find it difficult to speculate or imagine possibilities in the uncertain future.
4. It helps to see where your attention goes. When I teach and review students’ essays, I’ll start leaving comments about their word-choice in paragraph 3; the evidence they used on page 2; how their argument on page 12 risks contradicting their logic on page 10, etc. I can hold these details in my head with ease, suggest a clear structure, and spot incongruities, but I have to consciously remind myself to zoom out to comment on the overarching ideas in the work.
On the other hand, I notice when I do something creative or abstract because it’s not really what I do on a day to day basis. When I first began researching MBTI, I found it easy to recall the last metaphor I imagined because it stood out in my mind. But determining frequency helped. Not just how I think, but how often I think that way. Ne is a ‘play’ function for me - on good days, it’s a whimsical scribble in a poetry journal, occasional daydreams, self-improvement books on my shelf.
5. Being able to tease out finer differences in cognition. I got interested in a Royal Family controversy recently. I thought I was using Ni because I mused on the consequences for the nation (in a Ni-Fe way). However, I realized I was less interested in future possibility and more interested in what was helpful for interpersonal understanding (Fe/2-9) and how the country could preserve the traditions and culture built up over centuries (Si). Rather than preferring to look ahead and predict what would happen (Ni). It’s a fine line, but it helped to think: how often is my cognition located in the future vs the past? Which one feels more natural? Is it an Enneagram or an MBTI influence at play?
6. Avoiding sensor bias. I felt I must be an intuitive because I do engage in abstract conversation sometimes. It’s just that my topics of choice come from my Enneagram 269 tritype. How can schools treat children better? What can we do to promote community mental health? What keeps kids safer? My job is centered around people’s welfare, and I’d be happy to discuss theories of human psychology or relationships or mental health because I’m very absorbed in my little niche of knowledge. However, concrete applications interest me most, and I am not likely to start conversations about, say, 18th century theology or automated cars or space travel. My INFP and INFJ friends seem interested in a much wider range of philosophical conversation.
I agree with a post on this blog that pointed out that modern psychology now understands traits not as bimodal distributions (X or Y) but along a spectrum (how much of X? How much of Y?). People differ in where they lie along the spectrum. I’d say I’m close to the middle. My biggest tell that I lean towards sensing is when I look through philosophy books on human well being. Even though the topic reflects my interests, I’m quickly bored by too much theory. I’m happy to thrash out an idea with a friend, but it needs to be animated by real-life examples and practical applications for me to stay interested.
Above all, I recommend observing where your heart leads. Much of my free time goes into journal-writing, old albums, and time capsules. Detail-driven memory-keeping fulfills me deeply, and it was this deep joy that proved most helpful for recognizing my Si :)

Giants Build the Ancient Pyramids of Egypt
The world has always been asking, “who built the great pyramids of Egypt.” Most people believe it was the Egyptians, however, there is some debate on when the actual pyramids were built. Some archaeologists say after carbon dating it seems to be around 7,000-10,000 years ago. However, other debate this and say that they are only a few thousand years old and Egyptians only came around about 3,000 years ago, so it couldn’t be older then that. What if the Egyptians did build some of the smaller ones, but not the great pyramid. What if they found it and decided to use them and construct more. Which then confused scientists after so many years. This might be why we see three great large pyramids next to three small ones which don’t seem as magnificent next to the great ones.  So the question is… who built them first? Before the skeptics begin to roll their eyes, lets look into history. In Genesis it is said that the Giants (Nephilim) are ”sons of God” and the “daughters of men.” The most memorial story of course is the Giant Goliath who fights David.  Also found in Egypt are drawings of smaller humans fighting against larger humans. Almost every culture has names or drawings of Giants from different eras in history.
Tumblr media
Here is a comment from user tollan23 who is an actual archaeologist:“I’m an archaeologist (who has worked at the pyramids) and I have to admit that we’re all admitted into a secret society where we’re told to hide the secrets of the giants from all, under threat of death. Now that I have let you all know the truth my life is in danger. At least the truth is out there now but I will live the rest of my life in hiding.”On his youtube account he has a number of archaeology videos at the site of Bu Maher Fort, Bahrain.Gery Nelson has a wonderful and great article on this subject with references and pictures. In his article Nelson says:“I have tried to keep this within the realm of my own experiences.
There is so much more to this. Like the 64 pound sledge hammer found in a 3500 year old copper mine near the town of Llandudno in North Wales. Giant axes unearthed in Iran, Giant swords, etc.You could read for weeks on the subject of giants and if your mind is anything like mine enjoy every minute of it. I would suggest googeling Solomon Island giants, red haired giants, Arizona giants, California giants, Ohio giants, Peruvian giants.”A few years ago I would have never believed that Giant built the pyramids, thought it was absurd. However, in recent years I have found that the actual truth, maybe stranger then fiction.According to Author Brad Steiger, who has written over 168 books with over 17 million copies in print. He says in his book “World’s Before Our Own,”“There have been excavations in the United States that have produced the remains of primitive men and women over seven feet tall; hominids with horns; giants with double rows of teeth; prehistoric people with sharply slanting foreheads and fanged jaws…In July 1895, a party of miners working near Bridal Veil Falls, California, found the tomb of woman whose skeletal remains were six-feet-eight inches in length.”So what happen to these giants? Why don’t we see anymore today? One theory could be that they died during the great flood, caught diseases or even mated with normal humans, which could explain gigantism syndrome.
Tumblr media
The 15 in. long finger which would make the owner about 15 feet tall. Photo by Gregor Spörri from 1988.
Also just recently published, but taken in 1988 on the German website BILD.De, are photos taken by Gregor Spörri. Translated from the article is reads:“In 1988, on the last day of his private investigation trip, he contacted an old man from a grave robber dynasty. The meeting was took place in a farm-house in Bir Hooker, 100 kilometers northeast of Cairo. After paying, $ 300 Spörri had a look at the grave robber unsold treasure. Wrapped in old rags was the bone and dermis.Spörri told BILD.de: “It was an oblong package, smelled musty. I was totally flabbergasted when I saw the dark brown giant finger.I was allowed to take it in hand and also to take pictures; a bill was put next to it to get a size comparison. “The bent finger was split open and covered with dried mold.”It was surprisingly easy, maybe a few hundred grams My heart was up to his neck. That was incredible. In size to a matching body should have been about 15 feet tall”The grave robber also showed the Swiss certificate of authenticity and an X-ray image. Both are from the 60s.”
Tumblr media
The question is, why would Governments around the world hide this from the people? To answer this question I turn to Darwin, which takes you to a dead end if you follow this path. Right now scientists are trying to make the world believe we descended from apes, however, Giants were never part of that theory.  Add Giants to the mix and what is of Darwin?  If the world knew Giants existed and built the pyramids, (which would explain how huge heavy stones were transported 100′s of miles away. And would also display who actually built Stonehenge) then all kinds of questions would arise, like:  Where did they come from? Did we descend from Giants?  Does Darwin’s actually stand for anything? Have we been here for actually millions of years but not know? What else did they build? Stonehenge? Easter Island? Were they part of Atlantis? The human mind would become so curious that we would then be asking the Governments of the world: “What else are you hiding from us?

【未定事件簿】 Tears of Themis: “Romantic Rail Getaway” Zuo Ran Route, Day 1
Tumblr media
Translation Masterlist | Themis Event Masterlist
Zuo Ran Route: Day 1 | Day 2 | Day 3 | Day 4 | Day 5
Videos, where applicable, are hyperlinked on the headings in the post.
See under cut!
Part 1 – Vacation Invitation
Street
Today, Zuo Ran and I went to Jinlan District together to deal with a legal aid case, finishing it very smoothly.
After busily working, my mood was great and I couldn’t help imagining how I’d happily spend the rest days off after.
Tumblr media
MC: Lawyer Zuo, didn’t Big Sister Zhai Xing say that she’d give us a break after this case…
MC: Have you thought about how you’re going to spend the days off?
Zuo Ran: I haven’t decided yet. What about you?
MC: … I’ll probably find somewhere with great scenery to hang out at for a few days.
Zuo Ran: You want to… travel on your own?
MC: Mhmm, because Yao Yu – the friend that works at the geographic magazine publishing company – sought me out for help again…
MC: She wants me to take a few sets of pictures with the theme “the most beautiful sceneries” when traveling.
Zuo Ran: Where are you thinking about traveling to?
MC: I’ve thought about it, although… I haven’t made a final decision yet.
MC: Right, Lawyer Zuo, do you have any recommendations?
Zuo Ran sank into silence for a bit, seeming to consider my question seriously.
Zuo Ran: I recommend Rumbaliya. The cultural attractions and natural sceneries there are all very good.
Zuo Ran: Plus, they’ve recently opened a new train trip route, on which you can see multiple popular attractions.
Zuo Ran: If you want to travel, Rumbaliya should be a decent choice.
MC: Ah…
Zuo Ran: What’s the matter, did I say something wrong?
It wasn’t wrong – instead, it was a major coincidence.
When I was looking up trip guides before, I developed an interest in Rumbaliya. It was just that I hadn’t made a decision yet…
I didn’t think that Zuo Ran would end up recommending this place. Could you call this the work of the heavens’ will?
Tumblr media
Zuo Ran: Of course, I’m only stating some suggestions, and you can just listen to them. What’s important is choosing somewhere you like…
MC: Hm, I like Rumbaliya, so I’ve decided that it’ll be Rumbaliya!
MC: The places recommended by Lawyer Zuo will definitely not be wrong.
Zuo Ran: … How about we travel together?
MC: Eh?
Zuo Ran: I was thinking… if you’re taking trip photos, it might not be easy to do so yourself.
Zuo Ran: Plus, having a companion when traveling might be better…
MC: That’s great – I was just planning to ask you if you wanted to go together.
MC: So it’s decided then?
Zuo Ran: Yes – after I get back tonight, I’ll look up the trip routes again.
A distinct smile revealed itself on Zuo Ran’s face, the light in his eyes entrancing me for a moment.
--
Very soon, we finished arranging our itinerary, ordered the pain tickets, and stepped towards the Rumbaliya trip together.
Tumblr media
Circulating Trip Train Start Station
MC: The sunlight feels so warm! The weather today is great – it suits a day spent heading out on a trip.
The sunlight cast in through the glass ceiling, shining warmly on each guest that was preparing to board the train.
Standing in the starting train station situated in the city on the border of Rumbaliya, looking all around…
It felt like I was far away from the clamor of the modern city scene, and I’d walked into the past century.
Tumblr media
Zuo Ran: MC, it might be quite busy at the ticket gate later, so it might be better to hold your train ticket.
MC: I’m holding it.
I waved the train ticket in my hand, indicating that I’d prepared appropriately.
Zuo Ran: The train is almost in the station – let’s wait at the platform.
Zuo Ran: There’s a large glass window beside the seats I booked, so we can enjoy the sceneries on the route.
MC: Awesome, I can take some short videos for Yao Yu through the train window on the way.
Zuo Ran: Mhmm. Before the train arrives at the first stop, it will pass by a flower field, and the scenery there should be quite good.
Zuo Ran considerately introduced the sceneries that could be seen on the train trip for me, as well as some suitable photo-taking attractions…
It was so detailed that it was like he had personally seen those flower fields and little towns.
MC: Lawyer Zuo, have you gone before?
Zuo Ran: I haven’t… it’s also my first time going.
MC: Eh?! But your introductions are so detailed…
Zuo Ran: When I was making the trip guide, I also checked them.
He saw it online when making the guide?!
My god, how many little bits of materials would he have needed to check to do this?
MC: Lawyer Zuo, you’re way too amazing!
Zuo Ran: I just… wanted to prepare more thoroughly so you could have peace of mind.
MC: Mhmm, I feel particularly at peace when coming out with you.
Zuo Ran: … That’s good.
It seemed like Zuo Ran’s mood was very good when he heard my answer, with an evident smile on his expression.
Zuo Ran: Right, when the train arrives at Rumba City, where do you want to go to first?
Zuo Ran: I originally booked tickets for a musical and wanted to invite you to see it together…
Zuo Ran: Although when I was looking at the guides, I noticed that the central plaza has a street performance that’s very popular.
Zuo Ran: So I thought… it would be better to have you decide.
MC: Hm…
A brilliant musical was definitely worth enjoying, but a street performance must definitely also be very interesting.
Both sound pretty good… which should I choose?
Tumblr media
>See musical >See street performance
MC: Let’s go see the musical – wouldn’t it be such a pity if we don’t go when the tickets have been bought?
MC: After we finish seeing the musical, we can walk down the street if there’s time, so we might be able to see other street performances.
Zuo Ran: Then we’ll follow the original plan and see the musical first.
MC: Sure.
Zuo Ran: I’m looking forward to our trip very much.
MC: Mhmm, same here!
  >See musical >See street performance
MC: I want to see the street performance… but would this waste the tickets that you ordered with a lot of difficulty?
Zuo Ran: It’s alright – the tickets can be returned, so you don’t need to worry.
MC: Thank you Lawyer Zuo – as long as it’s not too much trouble for you…
Zuo Ran: You… don’t need to worry too much. When traveling, you should go based on what you like when choosing an event to visit.
MC: Lawyer Zuo…
Zuo Ran: Let’s go, the train’s almost here. I’m looking forward to our trip very much.
--
“Toot”… The long sound of the whistle grew closer, drawing the gazes of all travelers on the platform.
MC: The train is already here, so let’s go.
Perhaps my cheerful tone was too evident, as Zuo Ran also smiled with me.
Zuo Ran: Alright.
Part 2 – Rumba Commerce Street – “Exploring the Capital of Literature and Art”
Tumblr media
Rumba City
Rumbaliya, the “Capital of Literature and Art”, was a famous trip destination due to its beautiful surroundings, buildings, and art collections.
Only when I stood on the foreign streets for real did I get a deep understanding of this phrase.
Right after I walked out of the train station, the buildings on the two sides of the street, with their combinations of art and classic atmosphere, caught my gaze.
MC: So beautiful… I feel like it was right to come here.
Zuo Ran: We can board the trip bus to head to the city commerce street. I’m sure that the street views there will be even better.
MC: Mhmm, I’ve got a feeling that… I’ll be able to finish Yao Yu’s photo-taking mission today.
As we talked, we arrived at the trip bus stand, preparing to board the bus visit the city centre. However…
MC: Huh, why isn’t there even a single vehicle…
--
As we waited for around half an hour, not a single vehicle passed by.
Many of the travelers waiting with us were already restless, complaining unceasingly.
Zuo Ran: Perhaps something unexpected happened so that the vehicle is temporarily late.
MC: Mhmm, Lawyer Zuo, how about we go ask the staff about the situation?
Zuo Ran: Alright.
When we walked into the travel service area, a staff member greeted us as soon as she saw us.
Staff: My apologies, did you come to ask about the trip bus being late?
--
Tumblr media
INTERROGATION START
Tumblr media
Trip Bus
MC: Did the bus encounter some sort of situation?
Staff: Ah, I’m truly sorry.
Staff: They’ve been doing construction near the trip station. Because the road is under construction, it’s very easy for the vehicles to run into traffic congestion.
Staff: Please wait a little more – the trip bus might still require around 15 minutes to arrive.
The staff member dealt with our confusion in a skilled manner – looks like she has been asked this question many times in the past while.
MC: So this was why… no wonder it hasn’t come yet…
Staff: I’m very sorry. We will also send this feedback to the road construction workers as soon as possible.
MC: No problem, it’s understandable.
Staff: Thank you for understanding. Is there anything else you need help with?
Tumblr media
Recommended Attractions
MC: Could you recommend some popular attractions for us?
Though I’d already established the trip plan with Zuo Ran before, I still wanted to listen to a professional’s recommendations.
Staff: I recommend that you two see the Golden Church, Yati Bell Tower, and Rumba Opera House.
Staff: These places are full of an artistic and romantic atmosphere, and visitors can experience the grace of Rumbaliya right away from these.
Tumblr media
Gold Church
MC: Mhmm, I saw an intro to the Golden Church when looking up guides. It seems like it’s the oldest church in Rumbaliya…
Staff: Yes, the Golden Church is a sacred location from ancient Rumbaliya. There are even many prized artworks kept in the church, left by past dynasties.
Staff: Since the church’s outer wall and ramified dome is decorated with gold leaf, it looks dazzling under the sun…
Staff: So it was grandly named the “Golden Church”.
MC: (I feel like if we visit there… I’ll definitely take very beautiful trip photos!)
MC: Lawyer Zuo, if we have time, how about we go see the Golden Church?
Zuo Ran: There aren’t many things scheduled for today and we have lots of free time. You can go anywhere you want.
MC: Awesome!
Tumblr media
Yati Bell Tower
MC: Where is Yati Bell Tower?
Staff: The Yati Bell Tower is near the Rumba central square. It’s one of the landmark buildings in Rumba City.
Staff: The bell tower is around 100 metres tall, and each wall is carved with the golden lion of Rumbaliya’s ancient legends as decoration.
Staff: The highest level of the bell tower overlooks the attractions in all the city.
MC: (A photo from a bird’s eye view must be spectacular! When there’s time later, we’ll go see.)
Tumblr media
Rumba Opera House
MC: Lawyer Zuo, the opera house you wanted to see before was Rumba Opera House, right?
Zuo Ran: Mhmm, many masterpieces handed down from the past have been performed at Rumba Opera House, and the building itself is an extremely good display of Rumbaliya’s characteristic charm. It’s one of the landmark buildings in the city.
Staff: This mister sure is professional – you can tell that he prepared a trip guide carefully.
Staff: The Rumba Opera House combines the best of the Baroque and Gothic styles in its building style.
Staff: Simultaneously, it incorporates local Rumbaliya classic characteristics, so the entire opera house looks richly elegant and very artistic.
Staff: Visitors who’ve gone to the opera house are completely enchanted by its beauty.
MC: (Hm, I’ll go see with Lawyer Zuo later.)
Tumblr media
INTERROGATION END
Staff: Is there anything else you would like to ask?
MC: Nothing else, thank you.
Staff: No problem, this is what I should do.
Staff: Right, this is our Rumbaliya travel recommendation handbook…
Smiling, the staff member handed a booklet to me from in front of the counter.
Staff: Some popular attractions and routes are marked on the handbook. You can refer to this map for sightseeing.
MC: Thank you, I feel like it really will be a lot easier with this.
Staff: Then, I hope you two have fun.

Rumba Characteristic Restaurant
After the day’s itinerary ended, Zuo Ran and I chose a restaurant that was famous in Rumba City to dine at.
The restaurant wasn’t large, and the ancient decoration style amid the simplicity gave me a very comforting feeling.
The one downside was that there weren’t enough waiters in the restaurant, so guests needed to come to the counter to order themselves.
Zuo Ran: What do you want to eat?
MC: You decide – I trust you!
Zuo Ran: Then you can take a seat and relax for a bit. I’ll order the dishes.
MC: Mhmm!
As I waited for Zuo Ran to order, I turned on my tablet, choosing the scenic photos that I was planning to send to Yao Yu.
MC: The photo of the riverside reflecting the street is pretty good. Hm, the full picture of the opera house under sunset is also decent…
I selected a few sets of photos that I was satisfied with, compressing, packing, and sending the email in one go.
MC: Done!
Right then, I heard some conflict in the neighbouring booth… it seemed like a guest was criticizing something.
???: How do you calculate the cash amounts? What a fraud! Refund me!
???: From what I see, you just bully foreign visitors!
MC: (There are… people fighting over there?)
As we were separated by a door, I could only faintly hear a few sentences, and couldn’t tell what had happened.
After, there were a few more indistinct sounds of fighting from the booth, but the sound was quickly squashed… everything returned to peace again.
Tumblr media
MC: (There’s no sound again. I’m guessing that it was just a little conflict…)
I was just hesitating about whether to go to the booth and look. Right then, the sound of familiar footsteps neared… Zuo Ran had returned.
Zuo Ran: MC, what’s the matter?
If I told Zuo Ran, wouldn’t I seem too gossipy? Might as well not bother…
Thus, I turned the topic away with a smile.
MC: Nothing… right, Lawyer Zuo, what did you order?
Zuo Ran: I ordered some characteristic dishes with relatively high ratings. I hope it’ll suit your tastes.
MC: I’m looking forward to it!
--
Very soon, the dishes Zuo Ran ordered arrived. The dishes were placed all over the table, the fragrance making my appetite increase.
Tumblr media
Zuo Ran: You need to drink this milk sauce-braised fish soup while hot.
Zuo Ran placed a fish soup that had been braised until milky-white in front of me.
The fresh, sweet fragrance provoked my sense of smell. I placed down the camera and picked up the soup spoon… when the mouthful of fish soup entered my stomach, it dispelled a day’s worth of exhaustion.
MC: Delicious! I originally thought that cream paired with fish might be a bit greasy, but it’s actually this freshly sweet and tasty!
The soft, tender fish meet with the fish bones removed had already melted in the soup, and each mouthful was enjoyable.
As if displaying a treasure, I filled a bowl of fish soup and pushed it in front of Zuo Ran, looking at him earnestly.
MC: You try it too – it’s really delicious!
Zuo Ran: Mm, they seem to directly put the raw fish meat here in the cream soup to stew here…
Zuo Ran: I originally thought that this method would leave a fishy taste. I didn’t think that the taste would be so surprisingly good.
Tumblr media
MC: Then are you going to consider stealing some methods?
Zuo Ran: I’ll try.
As we spoke, we tasted the characteristic delicacies of Rumbaliya, enjoying the satisfying comfort of vacation.
Suddenly, the vibration of my phone broke this moment of happiness. I turned on my phone – it was a reply from Yao Yu.
“These scenic pictures haven’t reached the “most beautiful”. What I want is the most beautiful scenery you experience in your trip.”
MC: Ah, this…
Zuo Ran: What’s the matter?
MC: Looks like I’ve failed…
I showed Zuo Ran Yao Yu’s message and the package of photos I just sent.
Only after Zuo Ran looked several times over at each photo and returned the tablet back at me did he continue speaking.
Tumblr media
Zuo Ran: I actually think that the photos you’ve taken have no problems themselves.
Zuo Ran: The atmosphere of this one, with the church under the sun, as well as these ones of the lighting on the lake surface, are all very good.
MC: Lawyer Zuo, don’t bother consoling me… these photos have been completely “returned”.
Zuo Ran: It’s not consolation. You taking beautiful photos is the truth.
Zuo Ran: I just think that… what your friend wants aren’t these photos with exquisite lighting and composition. Rather, it’s something else…
MC: Something else?
Zuo Ran’s words were like a clear spring pouring in my mind, washing away the frustration that had accumulated in my mind.
I tried to grasp at some important message, but I kept feeing like I was missing something, and I couldn’t push aside the fog that had enshrouded my eyes.
Zuo Ran: Don’t rush, take it slow. The train will arrive at Dilly Square tomorrow…
Zuo Ran: It’s said that Rumbaliya’s art centre is there, and the scenery there is outstandingly beautiful. Perhaps you will get new inspiration when we get there.
MC: True, there’s still several days’ worth of itineraries after this! I’m sure that there will definitely be even more beautiful sceneries awaiting us.
Zuo Ran’s gentle voice dispersed the confusion and commiseration in my heart.
It was as he said – perhaps it was a bit early for me to define “the most beautiful sceneries” right at the beginning of the trip.
I might as well patiently discover and appreciate these things in the upcoming trip itinerary.

Sun transits in the houses☀️
Transit Sun in the 1st House
With the transit Sun in your 1st house, your focus is on you. You can work on your appearance, make changes in the way you behave with others, and need to express yourself in some way. You want attention more than usual, wanting to be in the spotlight. It’s a good time to start something new in your life, especially going down a new path. You’re more independent, but also self-centered, but that doesn’t have to be a bad thing. You need to focus on yourself every once in a while. You’re more confident, bold, and daring, and you’re willing to go out and take what you want without waiting for anyone’s permission or help.
Transit Sun in the 2nd House
With the transit Sun in your 2nd house, your focus is on your material wealth. You may try to work out your finances so you feel as though you have more money, or do some extra work to make more. Having more disposable income makes you feel more secure, as well as having more objects that are of value, so you may purchase something that will be worth more over time. Just make sure you don’t spend too much on it now. You may seem more grounded and practical, and you don’t want to rock the boat. You likely won’t start much new during this time, and instead continue to work on the projects that you’ve already started.
Transit Sun in the 3rd House
With the transit Sun in your 3rd house, your focus is on communicating. Your mind is more active, you have more ideas and thoughts, and you want people to hear what you have to say. You’re more social, so this can be a good time to make connections. You want to stay busy, and can take on many tasks, but usually smaller ones that can be completed quickly. You’ll have trouble with anything long-term because your concentration isn’t great, and you’re a little scatterbrained. You keep your schedule packed, and this can be a good time for some short trips. You may want to learn something new, or are more curious about the way things work.
Transit Sun in the 4th House
With the transit Sun in your 4th house, your focus is on your home and family. You may do something new to your home to spruce it up, buy or sell a home, move, or fix something. You could do more with your family, spending more time with them than working or being social, and can have family outings or get-togethers at home. You want to feel as though you have a solid home base, a place that’s comfortable and where you feel secure, and that you’re connected to your family. You can work on building up your inner foundation and getting in touch with your emotions. It’s also good for planning long-term projects.
Transit Sun in the 5th House
With transit Sun in your 5th house, your focus is on fun. You don’t want to sit around, work, or deal with serious issues. Engage in your favorite hobbies, go out with friends, attend parties, and go on dates. You’re a little more daring and a lot more enthusiastic about life. You seem more friendly and outgoing, and you come across as warm and funny. You want attention, and you can get it. You may be a little more dramatic and theatrical with your behavior, but you’re just living life to the fullest right now, experiencing and enjoying as much as you can, and you want everyone to get in on it with you so you have company.
Transit Sun in the 6th House
With the transit Sun in your 6th house, your focus is on work. It’s not the time for play and silliness. You can get through work projects easily because you’re more focused and pay attention to the details. This is an excellent time for getting done smaller projects, but not the larger ones since you’ll have a harder time dealing with the big picture. You can deal with your day-to-day affairs, the mundane tasks of life that most of us shun, and make improvements to your routine, as well as your health. You’re better at working by yourself but for others rather than starting things up on your own. You can come across as more analytical, distant, and a bit of a perfectionist. You could also deal with or get a pet.
Transit Sun in the 7th House
With the transit Sun in your 7th house, your focus is on other people and your relationships. It’s less about you and more about them. You work better with a partner, and feel better when you’re with someone in a one-on-one setting. You can have a hard time doing anything alone or being in a crowd. You want to make improvements to your relationships and become more committed. You come across as more charming, mediating, and can make compromises happen. You’re also concerned with balance, and try to strike the perfect balance in your life, so if you’ve been spending a lot of time on work, you’ll spend more time playing, and try to balance the scales.
Transit Sun in the 8th House
With the transit Sun in your 8th house, your focus is on transforming some part of your life. You’re not satisfied with leaving things the way that they are, and want to make something better. This could be some aspect of your life, personality, or even a physical object. You spend more time by yourself reflecting on life, and seem more serious, brooding, and emotional. Your emotions can sway between extremes, and you may hold a lot in and be secretive. You’re excellent at researching now, and can dig below the surface of anything to get to the heart of the matter. You can also deal with your joint finances, financial partnerships, debts, loans, taxes, and inheritances.
Transit Sun in the 9th House
With the transit Sun in your 9th house, your focus is on expanding your world. You want to have experiences that open you up to the other ways in which people live, and give you greater perspective. You may spend time with people who are from different countries, cultures, and backgrounds from yourself. This is a good time to learn something new, study philosophy, or go back to school. You identify more with your beliefs, and love to have a lively debate about it with people. You’re more outspoken and willing to voice your opinions. You have an easier time dealing with the big picture, but have a harder time with daily life. You’re more honest, blunt almost, and might stick your foot in your mouth.
Transit Sun in the 10th House
With the transit Sun in your 10th house, your focus is on the direction your life is taking and your goals. You want to take a look at how your life is unfolding and where you’re going in life, and determine whether or not you’re going in the direction that you want to be going in. You want to accomplish a goal, and are more hard-working and sacrificing to get it. You take a more practical approach to life, and have to deal with bosses, parents, mentors, or other elders. You’re recognized for work that you’ve done, and can be praised, or you can be punished if you haven’t been behaving right or smart. It’s a time to be responsible and mature.
Transit Sun in the 11th House
With the transit Sun in your 11th house, your focus is on independence and the future. You want to do things in groups, spend time with friends, and are quite sociable, but you don’t actually need any of them, and don’t want to feel tied down to anyone or anything. You keep yourself somewhat at a distance from people and don’t want to deal with emotional drama. You concentrate more on your future, what your dream future would look like, and what your hopes are. You have a better grasp on what you want your future to be, and can formulate ideas of what your ultimate aspirations are. You’re also more of a humanitarian now, and want to help the world as a whole, so you may get involved in a cause. You’re attracted to the unconventional, and don’t want to be put in a box.
Transit Sun in the 12th House
With the transit Sun in your 12th house, your focus is on your subconscious and letting go. Old issues can come up that you need to face and move on from. This is a good time to get rid of baggage, and clear your life physically, mentally, emotionally, or spiritually. There’s always something that you can get rid of. You may feel drained, especially around people, and need to spend more time alone to recharge. You don’t want to be in the spotlight, and prefer to stay in the background and not get any attention from people. You may seem more sensitive and emotional, require more rest, and are more intuitive. You’re also more compassionate, and you want to help people who can’t help themselves.

hi, love! i was wondering if i could get a marauders era ship please? the description is quite long so thanks for reading it and taking yor time to make this request ^^
i am enfp-t, scorpio sun (leo rising and pisces moon), '03 liner, born in november, hufflepuff, i'm from france but i am algerian (amazigh) muslim pansexual nonbinary they/ael/he/she, i use any pronouns but this is the order i prefer. i have shoulder length curly red dyed hair (originally light brown), almond shaped hazel eyes and a few beauty marks on my face. i'm 161cm/5'3ft. i have a wide smile with dimples. i'm chubby and will start a diet for myself and only myself, however, i have a binge eating disorder and recovery is really complicated.
my favourite colours are lavender (or most shades of purple, especially russian violet and midnight purple), green sage, canary yellow, light grey blue and brick red.
i'm open minded, would defend anyone i think is being right but judged. i really hate unfairness even in the littlest things, as well as toxicity in any form, it triggers me. i'm a people pleaser and i care about how people view me, i don’t want to be seen as selfish or anything and people who might think i am will make me depressed really fast. i'm an affectionate person. i show my love to my friends by making fun of them or of myself, bullying basically (i never cross the line though and if i do i’ll apologies a lot, communication is really important to me). my humour is based on me making fun of my traumas. i am funny and creative. if i can make someone laugh even if i have to embarrass myself in the process i get really happy. i’m really happy when someone opens up to me because it shows they trust me with something they wouldn’t tell anyone, it kinda makes me feel privileged in a way as i can keep a secret and help them out with a certain issue or something else. i am clumsy (trip on air and hit myself against furniture constantly also almost drop anything i hold). i'm sarcastic and humorous as well as a tad bit over dramatic at times usually to mock people or just because it is a habit.
i am a maladaptive daydreaming, i constantly talk to myself and imagine scenarios throughout the day. i am into shifting realities
i have a funny laugh and laugh a lot. i am a happy person. i can be loud one moment and suddenly really calm. i am an ambivert. i'm stubborn but patient. i'm sensitive and prefer to talk things out, i'm pretty calm but can get calm and just silent when annoyed or really angry, i can get passive aggressive too and use sarcasm. my biggest pet peeve is when people talk to me but when someone will try to get their attention they will right away go to talk to them as it happened to me a lot, it is as if i wasn’t talking in the first place like what i was saying is meaningless. so when people don’t listen to me. i have this habit of cracking my bones constantly, it relaxes me.
i am a dancer. i am always listening to music with earphones, dancing (even when i am sitting i will move my arms, imagine or create a choreography) and making choreographies, especially at night in my room where i’m just dancing and having fun, no specific moves. i enjoy listening to kpop as i am into a lot of groups and like to learn their choreographies whether it is a girls or boys group. i like to write and when i do i like to put in as many details as possible. i am an english culture major (anything that has to do with literature, language, history of english like america, great britain, canada and more is what i am studying).
i have two cats and i might get a dog soon. i like learning languages, i can speak french, english fluently, italian and spanish moderately (i want to be fluent in italian) and i'm starting to learn korean seriously and arabic in college.
i dress in multiple aesthetics and don't limit myself to a couple. i love what would be called “quirky” jewelry. i love makeup, especially eyeliner, lipgloss and mascara. i want to experience a lot with my hair, i would love to bleach and dye it in multiple colours as the red dye i have is the only one i ever used to dye my hair. Once it is really dead i want to shave it completely to start over, see myself with short and grow back healthy hair. i believe that family doesn't necessarily mean blood for personal reasons and from experience.
i am the kind of person who likes to do multiple things though i often stop something and never or later finish it. i'm overly confident yet extremely self-conscious. i often need reassurance because of trauma i have and trust issues with my family with transphobia and homophobia, and just what i do in general. i had my mother tell me i am manipulative and that my friends and family actually didn't like me and it sometimes gets to my mind again even though i know they love me. she insulted me with all the words she could find in the dictionary to be honest and since i was eight. but it also made me the strong-willed and open-minded person i am now. she is the reason i am scared of having children as i don’t want to end up like her. the worst is i still love her and have a relationship with her (we have good laughs and as i’m growing she doesn’t insult me as much probably because she understands there will be more consequences from me). because of her, i had to diagnose myself a lot as she wouldn’t care when i asked to see a therapist and it is only now she thinking of getting me one, i am mentally ill and she just doesn’t want to face it and think i am mentally ill because of the struggle of being queer when it is all her fault.
i've been a huge fan of harry potter since i was two year old with the video games on ps1 my grandmother owned. my comfort movies are coraline, rapunzel, harry potter and the prisoner of azkaban, avengers: age of ultron, the hobbit trilogy, x-men first class. my favourite series are alice in borderland, sweet home, squid game, stranger things, the umbrella academy. i love cartoons, especially the amazing world of gumball.
i get scared easily but laugh and scream when i do. i speak with my hands a lot and I'm really expressive. i use the finger guns too much. i zone out a lot and talk to myself constantly. i would like to become an english teacher and still dance in the future, or just have a career as a dancer maybe, or a translator and still a dancer. I really want to create.
the perfect date would be either chilling in my apartment or theirs, going out to the amusement park or a picnic. i warm up to them really fast as i like to make them comfortable by either right away attempting to have a conversation with them or cracking a joke somehow. i get shy with people who are interested in me romantically even if i knew them for a while. my love language is quality time, physical touch and words of reassurance.
thanks again, take your time, have a wonderful day or night, love yoooouuu
hi!
i ship you with...
Lily Evans!
i think Lily would love how you like to share your opinions and morals, and she'd love to watch you dance. she'd love how versatile you are and would really enjoy your cute dates <3

Location: Cultural Salon
Salon Speaker: In lieu of the progress and development of Technology, the fully automated factory assembly line used to produce wine now reached full maturity.
Salon Speaker: People no longer have to worry about the instability of the wine, that would tarnish the quality of the end product, when doing manual brewing.
Salon Speaker: Of course, there are also certain regions that put emphasis on doing it the traditional way and have continued doing so manually.
Salon Speaker: Alas, we cannot afford to leave out Barosco— The famed Country of Wine.
……
☆⋅⋆…⋅─────────── ⋆⋅✾⋅⋆ ───────────⋅…⋆⋅☆
The speaker’s comedic style of presentation made everyone listen in with apt interest at the “Barosco Wine Culture” talk.
The 2-hour lecture wasn’t lengthy at all. In fact, it actually made people even more interested in the remote Country of Wine.
I was still enamoured by the scent of wine even after the place had emptied out after the talk, unable to snap back to my senses from the trance I had fallen under.
Tumblr media
MC: The Country of wine…? I wonder if even the air will carry the fragrance of wine…?
Mo Yi: Are you interested in Barosco?
MC: Yeah. I happened to see a travel guide for Barosco just the other day!
MC: It mentioned a couple of other popular attractions alongside a Railway Tour about Wine Culture, which I find particularly interesting!
In fact, the main purpose why I’d come down to this talk was to learn more about Barosco.
The small Country famous for its Wine Culture had a pleasant climate and boasted beautiful sceneries that made people yearn to see it with their own eyes.
Mo Yi: It’s always better to witness it with one’s own eyes and hear it with one’s own ears. It’ll be best for you to simply go there and experience it for yourself.
MC: Oh?
It was clearly a simple sentence, no matter how you looked at it; but for some reason or another, it really resonated with my heart.
He’s right. I can definitely experience a different sort of beauty from Stellis City over there in Barosco, right?
Plus, I’ve not been too busy lately, so it’ll be no problem at all to just take a couple days of annual leave and go have fun elsewhere.
Tumblr media
Mo Yi: (Y/n), do you want to go to Barosco with me?
Mo Yi: Maybe we can go experience the newly opened Railway Train Route together?
MC: You want to go too?
I realized something fatal the moment the words left my mouth. Doesn’t this mean that I’ve technically sold my heart to the idea!?
Mo Yi: I’ve been there a couple of times before. And I’m also relatively familiar with Barosco myself.
Mo Yi: Besides, I’ve been on Spring Vacation lately, so I have plenty of time to spare.
Mo Yi: I wish to accompany you on this trip and be your tour guide, if you don’t mind.
His golden eyes were coloured with expectation, making me unable to refuse him.
MC: I want to go with you too.
Tumblr media
Mo Yi: Great. Its about time you relax a little after having worked so hard for so long.
☆⋅⋆…⋅─────────── ⋆⋅✾⋅⋆ ───────────⋅…⋆⋅☆
Thus, that was how we decided to go on a trip together.
Everything all the way from booking to departure went smoothly without a hitch. And soon, we started our journey to the Country of Wine...

Location: Railway Tour's Starting Station
MC: The Travel Brochure’s so detailed! It introduces the name, type, taste and quality of all the wines in here.
MC: Oo? They even have grapevine planting methods written in this thing…!
I passed the time by reading the Travel Brochure that we’d been handed after passing the customs while waiting for the train to arrive at the Station.
I didn’t expect the brochure to contain not only information about the various scenery spots, but also records that detail the many varieties of local speciality wines.
Simply put, it was literally a small wine encyclopaedia.
Tumblr media
Mo Yi: Looks like the locals here are very proud and confident in the wine that’s MC: Yeah. It feels like they’re broadcasting to the world: “Come taste my wine!”.
While we were happily chatting, a member of the staff pushed a trolly past the platform, parking it in a vacant area nearby.
Staff: Dear tourists, come try some fresh handmade wine free of charge!
Staff: Please show your ticket to enjoy this surprise that our Station has specially prepared for you!
Staff: A special reminder that this only applies for adult tourists! Minors are not allowed to drink alcohol!
MC: Looks like we’ve struck the jackpot, Dr. Mo! We have a taste of Barosco wine before we’re even there!
There were many tourists in the Station, but thankfully, there were staff members around to help guide everyone in an orderly fashion.
It didn’t take long before Mo Yi and I both got our share of the goods.
I took a sip in anticipation. The taste of the liquor instantly lingered between my lips and tongue, the complex and rich aroma spreading throughout my palate.
Mo Yi: How’s the taste of Barosco’s handmade wine? Is it anything like you imagined it to be?
Mo Yi swirled his wineglass but didn’t seem interested in taking a drink out of it. Rather, he appeared much more interested in my evaluation of said wine after having just tasted it myself.
MC: It tastes...
Tumblr media
▷Choice: Nicer
MC: I think it tastes nicer than any wine I’ve drunk before.
I tried to remember the wine-tasting terms of description that I’d learned back in the Wine Culture Salon back then.
MC: It tastes refreshing, mellow, and smooth… And what else…? Never mind, I can’t think of any more terms to describe it.
MC: In any case, it’s delicious.
Mo Yi: Looks like the wine here is actually pretty good.
MC: Yeah! I’m thinking of bringing a couple of bottles of their Speciality Wine back to Stellis City!
Mo Yi: The trip hasn’t even started yet. Who knows, you might find other local specialities you want to bring back during the trip itself.
MC: Yup! I’ll have to rely on you to lug the rest of the stuff back if it ever comes down to that!
Perhaps the way I spoke with such confidence had amused him, for his eyes were brightly lit with a smile.
Mo Yi: Of course.
Tumblr media
▷Choice: Not very different
MC: In all honesty… It doesn’t seem all that different from the wines I’ve drunk before...
It was as delicious as it came, but if I were to describe just how good it was, I’m afraid that’s something way out of my field.
I struggled for a while, trying to find a way to best describe it; only to settle for the plain hard truth moments after.
MC: Well, I guess I don’t have what it takes to be a wine connoisseur.
Mo Yi: It’s not your fault.
Mo Yi: It’s just wine that the Station’s providing the tourists here to taste-test. There are really no other outstanding traits to it other than it being easy to drink.
MC: Heh… The staff will definitely get mad if they heard you say that.
Mo Yi: Well, you’re the only one I plan on telling.
Mo Yi: You’ll have to go to a special local winery if you want to taste fine wine… We should be getting to one in a couple of days.
MC: Yeah! That’s just one more thing to anticipate!
Tumblr media
Mo Yi: Alright, it’s about time for us to board.
Mo Yi: I have a feeling that this is going to be one beautiful and extraordinary journey.
MC: Yeah, me too!
With the delicious food, beautiful sceneries to admire, and the company of Dr. Mo added along to the fray, this was turning out to be an extremely exciting trip!

In the distance Barok could hear voices talking, which only served to confuse him. He was inside Klint's burial chamber, no one else should be here. He opened his eyes, head pounding, and found his confusion grew all the more.
This was not his brother's crypt. It was his own room, yet he had no recollection of leaving the family cemetery or the journey home.
He felt warm and dizzy, and that feeling intensified when he tried to sit up, "...Ugh..." it was slowly dawning on him that he was feverish. Most likely due to the reckless trip he took during a fierce storm.
"My Lord, are you awake?" he heard Harvey's voice.
"... Yes," his croaked, as though his vocal chords had rusted, "... What... happened, Harvey?" no doubt the butler could elucidate him.
"The groundskeeper was tending to the cemetery after the storm and found you collapsed on the floor. He came back to the estate and informed me, I then arranged to have you brought home so that the physician could assess you. Thankfully he does not think it's anything serious, most likely fatigue."
".... I see," Barok laid back in the bed and closed his eyes, his vision was already starting to swim, "... Thank you, Harvey."
"It is my pleasure, my lord, I am glad you are safe... the physician thinks you may have a fever but that you should recover after a few days of rest. Please let me know if you need anything."
"I will..." his consciousness was already slipping; soon enough he drifted to sleep.
──────≪⊰✥⊱≫───────
His sleep was fitful; drifting in and out of consciousness for several hours while his body wracked with freezing shivers and unbearable flashes of warmth. He writhed and groaned as the fever took a firmer hold of his faculties.
"Truly you seem to be suffering, little brother..."
Barok opened his eyes and stared in disbelief at the man sitting on his bed -- Klint. He was sat there, looking over at him with face marred by concern, "... K...Klint?" he uttered, before trying to sit up only to think better of it when his head throbbed sharply.
"Mmm," his older brother nodded, "Truth be told you're hallucinating, but I suppose that's to be expected when you neglect yourself in this manner."
A wry smile tugged his lips; it seemed his own mind was set upon chastising him for his earlier impulsiveness, "... Of course... a figment of my imagination."
"Yes... you've pushed yourself too hard of late, no wonder things have gotten on top of you and now you're feverish and hallucinating."
"..." he felt a strong surge of sadness in the pit of his stomach, "My mind couldn't at least trick me into thinking you were a ghost..."
"You're too cynical for that," the mirage pointed out, "No doubt you'd have tried to cross-examine this situation and forced the truth out of yourself."
It was irksome how accurate that statement was, and how he was incapable of formulating a witty reply to it. Eventually he gave up and muttered, "... Perhaps."
"Undoubtedly," the figment said, "Now, I suppose we'd best get to the bottom of why you're having this moment of delirium..."
"Clearly because I'm feverish," he retorted dryly.
"No..." Klint shook his head, "Clearly you need to do some soul searching. You've lost your way, your feelings of hopelessness have driven you to be reckless and now you don't know what to do with yourself. Perhaps you need to take a step back and re-calibrate, little wolf."
"Nonsense..." he muttered as he draped a hand over his eyes; his forehead was burning, "I... I know precisely what I need to do..."
"Oh really? Well I assure you that clinging to the past isn't it."
".... I know that," but how could he resist? This house was full of memories; it was the last place in all the world where Klint's memory was still a tangible thing that he could hold on to. It was all he had left of him.
"Find something to live for, Barok. You have a chance to turn a new page, to step out of your brother's shadow. You don't have to be a prosecutor. You don't have to be a lawyer. You can be whatever you want."
"Whatever I want..." he mumbled to himself as a wave of tiredness washed over him; he relinquished himself to it and drifted into a deep sleep
──────≪⊰✥⊱≫───────
For several days, Barok continued to drift in and out of delirious conversations with a mimicry of his brother. Until his body recovered and he overcame the fever; there was a dull pang in his chest when it dawned on him that he could not longer hallucinate his brother's presence watching over him, but, it was a familiar grief and one he continued to hold in his core.
He decided to take the fever dreams to heart, rather than wallowing, and set about busying himself with numerous distractions; a main one being repairing the old family estate. It had been refurbished sometime during his grandfather's lifetime, but it seemed the work had been rather shoddy.
In between the renovations, he engaged in correspondence with a few individuals in London, including members of the Prosecutor's Office, and dabbled in stocks to maintain the family's wealth. His employment as a Prosecutor was hardly a king's ransom, but it had been an impressive wage and he was conscious to avoid squandering his family's assets while he languished in a malaise.
For a few years that became his routine, and it was a reasonably comfortable one. He enjoyed the Devon countryside atop Black Gale and distracted himself with a mix of physical and cerebral activities. Yet, it felt profoundly empty to him; there was an acute sense of wistfulness at his core and he knew precisely what it related to.
He had geared his entire life for a career as a lawyer, and the part of his mind that had enjoyed the intellectual rigour found his current life far too humdrum. Of course he still read the Legal Reports not long after they were handed down by the Courts, out of a 'healthy curiosity', he told himself, but reading about the law was nothing when compared to actually practising it.
The anecdotes he received from his peers in the Prosecutor's Office did little to slake that innermost wish, in fact they only stoked it more. But he resisted by reminding himself why he left in the first place.
Should he return, the Capital would once more be swept up in its 'Reaper fever'; the press would fixate on his every move, the criminal underbelly of London would sharpen its knifes and perhaps this time manage to get his eyes... Fear had no part of it, for he did not fear death, but it grew wearisome to be so fetishised by the world at large and all it did was remind him all the more that Klint was not here.
Klint was the one who had inspired such a fervent love of the law in him; his righteousness, his acumen, his talent for public speaking... every time he'd watched his brother in court he'd fallen in love with the law a little more, for it embodied the very things his brother stood for. Or, that's what he'd wanted to believe.
The truth had been a bitter pill to swallow – for, while the law had the best of intentions, it was a clunky machine that often failed to work at the moment where individuals and society at large most needed it. Loopholes and the unjust were constantly undermining it. He felt the dichotomy between reality and idealism keenly. He had often equated the Law with Justice, but sadly the two things were not synonymous.
Sometimes he wondered how Klint had coped with that knowledge, for he saw his brother as a bastion of justice and a man of integrity who would no doubt have been just as aware of the law's failings as he. How he longed to ask his brother now that he had the benefit of practical experience.
For several years he maintained his distance from London and the law; many among the aristocracy gossiped, from rumours about his death to wild theories about his having eloped to America to marry into some wealthy entrepreneurial family, but for the most part he ignored them too. The only time he deigned to mingle with the other noble families was when such was demanded of him as master of the house.
One day, however, a letter arrived from London that piqued his interest to the point he could no longer resist it.
Magnus McGilded was becoming an increasingly brazen problem for the capital. He knew the moneylender had something of a reputation, one that caused misery among the desperate and unfortunate who had fallen upon hardtimes; but it sounded as though his activities were causing more angst than ever before, not least of all because he continued to evade the Courts through underhanded means.
Of course, his friend opined, it was not possible to prove that Magnus McGilded was bribing the Jury, buying witnesses and a catalogue of other dubious evasive tactics; but nor could anyone explain why entire cases were dropped at the last minute or why the police had failed to locate key witnesses until they themselves appeared from nowhere with vital information (in McGilded's favour).
It irked him to his core as he read of the various trials that had collapsed, and for the first time in a long while he felt a strong desire to do something. To bring the rodent out of his labyrinth of deceptions and into the light of day. He knew full well it was something that he would be capable of, were he to oversee a future investigation...
His mind raced with thoughts about how to outwit the Irish Shylock at his own game...
Another thing that piqued his interest was a throwaway postscript:
[Ps. We've had word from Lord Stronghart to expect some Nipponese student in a few months time. Apparently there is some cultural exchange afoot and the young man will be studying British law. I can't say I see the necessity, but I suppose our great nation ought to be charitable to those from more impoverished places...]
Seeing that word roused ugly feelings in his core, things that he had managed to keep his distance from for some time; but the anger was never far away. The resentment, like rot, was deep in his soul and it had been left alone but not eradicated.
The near-five years he had spent in the ancestral home was a welcomed reprieve, and served to focus his mind to some degree. He had never lost his passion for the law, and now it seemed there were reasons to pull him back into the foray.
Perhaps it was high time the Reaper returned London...

It hurt.
It hurt so much.
From waking up before you, waiting for you to wake up while he was staring at your extremely adorable and gorgeous sleeping face even if there was a little bit of drool on the side of your lips. How your eyes would slightly squint open and your hands immediately reaching out for him only for him to engulf you into a hug while attacking you with kisses on your neck, cheeks, shoulders, nose and lastly a soft sensual kiss pressed against your lips.
It was his drug, you were his drug. The way your kiss could drag his mind away from soberness to get drunk on the soft feeling of your lips moving against his. The way your arms felt around his waist whenever you gave him his 'goodluck-charm' hug before an important game.
Bokuto was oh so sure you were forever gonna be his and how he'd spend the rest of his life together with the thing he had gotten oh so addicted to. How you'd be standing in the bleachers cheering him in until his very last game, how he'd always be able to sulk into your shoulder whenever he felt down, how you'd always giggle at his sometimes purposely stupid dumb antics because he wanted to hear you laugh.
He wanted to take you all over the world, show you the beauty of all the different cultures and go on a fun taste-testing city trip to try out all the unfamiliar new foods.
It was all his fault. All of it.
His memory was still fuzzy, after all the hit his head had gotten wasn't nothing. He remembered seeing the headlights of the car that was approaching his at a speed that was way over the limit, the feeling of his heart dropping still present in a way.
The seconds after this, of you screaming and him trying to keep you safe in a failed attempt by holding his arm in front of you went by quickly. Bokuto couldn't even remember what happened after this, in all honesty he couldn't even remember when his head crashes into the side of the door or when he passed our. Just the headlights that were now forever burned into his eyes.
The throbbing in his head was unbearable, but in that moment all he could care about was the sight of you passed out with your head hanging forward as blood dripped out of your nose onto the airbag and your white cardigan one he had given to you.
Bokuto couldn't remember when the ambulance arrived and got both you and h out of the car. He couldn't remember the trip to the hospital nor being moved to the room he had woken up in several hours later.
A heavy concussion, 24 stitches and a broken leg is all he had. Nothing too dangerous, nor life changing. After all, the airbag had caught most of the crash's impact luckily. To him, it was nothing he couldn't get over.
It should've been him, really. After all he was the one that came up with a surprise trip at 11 pm to McDonald's because he wanted a mcflurry. That 4 dollar piece of shitty vanilla ice cream mixed together with whatever sweet bullshit wasn't worth it in any way.
All he wanted to hear when he entered your hospital room was you calling out for his name, relieved that he was okay and then the two of you would cry together because you were scared and he cries whenever you cry because his baby owl shouldn't ever cry because then he'll cry and fuck.
He didn't want to be greeted by dull looking eyes, ones that didn't seem to realize they were currently looking at someone they had been looking at oh so lovingly for the last 5 years. You weren't aware of the fact you had spend your most cherished memories with the build man currently standing in front of you. That he was the one you had spend nights with of just cuddling together and enjoying each other's presence.
When the doctor had hit him with the news, he felt all the life he had in him deflate. Bokuto felt sick, the bitter taste in his mouth making him want to throw up all the contents in his stomach. It felt like a nightmare who's plot just got dropped at his shoes that he couldn't wake up from.
The hit you had gotten on your head wasn't one like Bokuto had gotten. You didn't get to shrug it off with a heavy concussion like he did. It was so strange and unfair, the two of you had been in the same accident and you of all people had been the one who's world fell apart and you weren't even aware of it.
Amnesia.
Amnesia is a form of memory loss. Some people with amnesia have difficulty forming new memories. Others can't recall facts or past experiences. People with amnesia usually retain knowledge of their own identity, as well as motor skills.
You knew your name, your age. You knew who your parents were and where you lived. You could very vaguely remember what you did for a living, atleast somewhere in that direction.
Bokuto?
...
"Bokuto-san?"
Lost in thought, Bokuto's eyes quickly snapped up from the dining table to lock with yours. It didn't take long before his eyes lit up and a bright smile beamed on his face, feeling so much to what you felt whenever your blankets would hug you at night whenever you were cold it was something that always confused you for you couldn't remember anything about him or him and you in general.
"What's troubling you, pretty lady~?"
His voice was like sinking into a warm bath, slowly engulfing you into a warm trance that made you feel like you were floating on nothing but warm air. Whenever he started slowly picking up his old nicknames for you again, it made heat creep to the tips of your ears.
When you woke up the first thing you had noticed was the throbbing in your head. It didn't take long until you had opened your eyes, immediately being blinded by the brightness of the bright white walls. Honestly, making the walls of the hospital white was for sure the most uncomfortable thing that had ever been done it wasn't exactly comforting.
Everything was..weird. Your mind was like a blank canvas, only very small smudged out lines of a sketch that had recently been erased with an eraser present for those lines were too thick to erase. That canvas had stayed blank for as long as you could remember.
When the doctors came inside to talk to you and started asking you questions, to which you could only answer a few of. Apparently you had amnesia, something which you didn't even know what it was at first until they explained.
Before the incident you had always thought during your common shower thoughts that were you to ever have amnesia that you'd panic immediately, wondering about what your life was like who you were where you were etc..but right now you were calm. Still that blank canvas only now there were very thin lines of a sketch visible but there was still so much missing.
The build man that had entered your room shortly after was something you'd never forget. He was strolled in in a wheelchair, perhaps he too had an accident? Did he know you, after all why else would he visit you? You didn't question it too much, simply too tired to stress over such things.
He introduced himself as Bokuto, a name that held a weird sort of nostalgic feeling for you yet you couldn't point out why exactly.
The first thing you noticed about him was the fact there were tears in his eyes the whole entire time he was there, desperately trying to hold them in and sometimes he'd quickly wipe them away with his sleeve hoping you wouldn't notice.
Bokuto had been incredibly kind, funny too. He'd come by everyday to talk to you and you didn't even question it too much for it felt so normal to spend your time with him.
You knew the two of you shared some kind of bond before all of this, there was no doubt in it he had probably been in the same accident that took your memory from you.
So when the news of the two of you having been in a relationship had been broken to you, you weren't surprised. The tears that had welled up in his eyes when he told you broke your heart for the man's whole body sulked and his eyes held nothing but sorrow.
He tried putting up a smile all the time for you, trying to brush the guilt and sorrow off hos shoulders like it wasn't as bad as he thought it was. It felt only natural to move your hand towards his and give it a squeeze, after all he had been kind to you and you didn't want him to go through this by himself.
There had to be a reason why you had fallen for him, so it couldn't be too bad to comfort him at this moment.
Bokuto broke. The moment your hands engulfed his and you started talking to him in that soft voice you always used whenever he went into his emo mode or felt insecure about anything he couldn't take it anymore.
He wanted you back, it wasn't fair. This wasn't fair this wasn't what was supposed to happen, he didn't want this. He wanted you to smile at him like you did when you woke up next to him every morning before kissing him with those lips he loved so much.He wanted you to hold him close while running your fingers through his hair while whispering sweet nothings into his ear. He wanted to feel you, to touch you and love you with all he had but he couldn't.
At this point he wasn't even sure if he would ever be able to again, he didn't like it at all he hated it truly hated it. He wanted more than just a hand squeeze, he wanted to dive into your arms while sobbing into your chest while you shushed him. To look back at this as an obstacle the two of you had gone past, being able to live the life full of surprises he wanted with you. Bokuto wanted to kiss your lips, to feel them move against his while you would gently hold his face and wipe away his tears with your thumb before engulfing him into your arms again and run your fingers through his hair.
He couldn't
To you, he was nothing but a stranger anymore. All those days he spent with you in his arms, safe and secure with your face smushed into his broad chest while dozing off on the couch while he was watching you fight against your sleep with a small smile on his face. All those days where you were chasing him around the house with a nerf gun while laughing whenever he'd trip over the carpet in the hallway hitting his head against the wall. Days where you and him would talk about insecurities, doubts and fears you had for you felt safe with each other. Night where you were his and he was yours, needing nothing but each other.
It was a dream, a bad one it had to be. This couldn't happen to you two, right? Those things only happened in movies. Well atleast in movies they'd atleast eventually remember everything again, but you.. It was a nightmare he was trapped in, he had to get out, wanted to wake up. He had to wake up, to open his eyes dammit why couldn't he wake up.
You were robbed of basically everything, all the things that had formed you into the person you had become.
"Why are you doing this?"
The question took Bokuto off guard. His eyes widened slightly before squinting together on confusion. "Doing..what?" He muttered. In all honesty, he knew exactly what you meant. It had been a question he had been avoiding answering for the longest time, never wanting to be confronted and be put on the spot like he currently was.
Your arms moved around a little, signaling to a non-existing object, space, person who knew. "I-..This. Why are you still here, if to me you are nothing more than a stranger who apparently was my boyfriend in a life I don't even remember nor do i know if i ever will?"
The words felt like daggers being stabbed several times into his chest before being twisted around, making the pain even worse than it already was. He could fee his throat close up slightly, a lump building itself up in the bottom of it. All the things you were saying had been things he already knew but hearing you say them out loud hurt even more.
Bokuto laughed it off, slapping the table lightly before clearing his throat in a failed attempt to get rid of that horrible lump. "Woah, didn't expect that to go so deep! Give me a break~" He said with a sigh, a forced grin present on his face to once again hide his fragile side.
Your face had fallen upon hearing his words and seeing his reaction. It was obvious that he was hurting himself constantly, trying to patch something together that had a possibility of being beyond broken. Bokuto was trying to give himself, constantly telling himself that everything would turn back to normal while running away from the truth.
"Bokuto-san"
That wasn't right. It wasn't right. You were supposed to say Kou, a nickname you've been using ever since the two of you became close friends. He longed to hear you whisper his name into his ear whenever you wrapped your arms around his shoulder, for you to use pet names whenever you'd cuddle him in your arms and squish his cheeks.
He had been to preoccupied with his thoughts to notice your hands reaching out for his, only snapping back to his thoughts when you gave them a gentle squeeze. His eyes locked onto yours and saw how yours had softened upon the eye contact yet there was a layer of sadness they held. It hurt to see, knowing that if he hadn't pushed certain buttons maybe this wouldn't be the case.
As your thumb gently traced his knuckles, something you did before everything that happened. You didn't have to remember it, Bokuto knew it was because of your caring nature that you'd always figure out rather quickly how to comfort different people. You knew how to comfort him, yet all he really wanted was to be wrapped up in your arms and the memory of it made his chest hurt again.
Bokuto deflated again, his shoulders slumping and his eyes falling down onto the table.
"What happened, wasn't your fault. There will never be a day that i will put the blame on you and i'm sorry for what happened. I truly wish i could remember all the memories we've shared together over the years, that i could remember what it felt like to fall in love with you."
Now it was you who was getting teary eyed, something Bokuto hadn't seen ever since you had woken up. All this time you were lost in your own mind, surely you had questions about your life..not a lot though. You must've been trying to avoid thinking about it too much, making feeling Bokuto even more guilty for it seemed you had to force yourself to talk about something you wanted to avoid for the sake of comforting him. He felt like a horrible excuse of a boyfriend, hell he wasn't even sure if he was still allowed to call himself that.
"I wish, i could give it back to you. I really do and i am in every possible way open to the idea of making new memories with you but i really need you to understand that the person i was, before all this happened, the person you loved..isn't gonna be the person you're currently looking at."
The way your voice was breaking, the way you tried oh so hard to keep the tears from flowing and the way your hands were trembling above his own. Bokuto turned his hands upwards and cupped yours in his own. The feeling felt like nostalgia, like a deja vu you wanted to bask in forever.
Having to let go of the image he had of you felt impossible. Every morning Bokuto woke up, he had this underlying spark of hope that you'd be standing in the kitchen waiting for him while calling out his name with tears in your eyes before he ran towards you and taking you in his arms while spinning you around. How the two of you would talk about your most chesired memories you shared together. It still felt like a nightmare, waking up to an empty bed with nothing but him-well couch since he gave you the bed.
The feeling of your hands leaving his felt faint yet he was very aware of the very last touch he had of your skin on his.
"I..think i should go" the words hurt but he knew it was for the best. For he knew that if he kept living in his own fantasy world that you would keep on hurting and so would he.
It was for the best, he thought as he kept looking down at where you once stood.
It was for the best, he thought as he heard the front door shut not even having heard you leave.
It was for the best, he thought as he felt himself starting to break down while crawling into a little ball on the couch clutching onto the pillow that faintly smelled like your perfume.
Images of your smile, your voice and the feeling of your skin were replaying in his head. Your hand in his, your lips leaving small patterns on his shoulders making him giggle and your hands running through his hair while cuddling in bed. How you'd tell him you loved him and told him about how you'd picture your future together.
It was for the best, he thought.
It was for the best
