Eddie's mom was a free spirit who got taken too soon but educated her son in anything and everything that she found interesting. And she found A LOT of things interesting.

Eddie still secretly keeps these interests and sure, some of them are expected (weed and the best strains), some less so (obsessive reading and perfect knowledge of Edith Piaf). Eddie can even make fantastic mixed drinks ("My mom worked as a bartender for a bit and she practiced at home, what are you staring at, Henderson?!") and can quote most of Le Fleurs Du Mal from memory.

Steve learns to accept and even expect this. Mythology? Of course. Random bits of knowledge from history? Of course. The man only knows SOS in Morse code but can tie nearly every single knot known to humanity? Weird, but it's Eddie.

But then he finds out Eddie knows a fuck ton about horoscopes and astrology. It only takes a single moment of distraction on Eddie's part - Steve is complaining about his latest date, a girl Eddie knows from his class, and he scoffs.

"Well, duh. Of course it didn't work out, Steve, her Moon sign's an Aries and yours is Cancer, that's a recipe for a short fling, not a long relationship."

Steve just stares at him.

Eddie's eyes go wide as he realizes what he's just said. "Uh, I mean..." he scrambles for an explanation, "...she...sounds really stubborn?" he says slowly.

Steve blinks once. Twice. Then his mouth twitches upwards. "What is your Moon sign?"

Eddie feels like it should be a joke, but Steve is patiently waiting for his answer, encouraging smile and those fucking delicious moles. "I'm...uh. I'm a Scorpio. Moon sign, that is," he mutters and hypnotizes Steve's left eyebrow. "Which is...you know. People think it sucks."

"And does it?"

He snorts and shakes his head. "Nah, well. You know, we can be kinda...secretive? But Moon signs are all about your emotions and the inner you, so...it takes a while to get to really understand Moon Scorpios, but then we're the most loyal bunch you'll ever find."

Steve just nods, still smiling. "That's cool, doesn't sound bad at all. But - are you compatible with a Cancer Moon?"

And Eddie probably should have asked "hey, what the fuck," but someone is asking him about his interest, no irony and all that, and that isn't something frequent according to the Munson doctrine. "Oh yeah, absolutely. I mean, Scorpios can be a bit intense, but they're both water signs, you know? And it depends on the Sun sign and rising too, so..."

Somehow, they spend the whole evening discussing astrology. Well, Eddie is. Steve is just listening and asking questions.

Somehow, Eddie manages to calculate both of their charts (because Steve asked).

Steve asks a lot of stuff. "How would you make someone with your chart open up?", "What would be an ideal date for that kind of person?", "Is there something I should be careful about?" and Eddie answers everything but somewhere deep thinks man, I really envy the girl he's doing this for. She's lucky she shares the same birthday and place of birth with me.

It only clicks two weeks later when Steve invites Eddie to hang out and takes him to an alleged haunted mansion. Which...might have been one of the more outlandish ideas Eddie gave him, but he said he would actually love that and that it would fit with the Scorpio dark and brooding aesthetic, if Steve's girl is like that.

He stares at the haunted house, at Steve's sweater (the one Eddie told Steve suits him the best) and a small picnic basket and he realizes.

Steve smirks at him and gently touches his hand, careful not to spook him. "So, what does your Scorpio Moon say?"

Eddie groans and, after briefly checking that no one is around, quickly presses his lips to Steve's cheek. "Apart from "Eddie Munson, how the fuck didn't you notice sooner?" It's purring."

The younger man laughs and Eddie could bask in that sound forever. "Pretty sure scorpions can't purr."

"With you, pretty boy? They sure can."

This is also why I don't know how to recommend spells to people because to me most spells are just:

Find a Guy who's really good at the thing (probably other people talk about how good he is)

Ask him to do the thing for you

Provide auxiliary support to make his job easier (and say please and thank you!)

And one Guy can often do a lot of things. Like, Rosemary can help with memory problems, sleep, cleansing, protection, healing, and nightmares.

So you can show up and say, "Rosemary, when I drink this tea of you, please infuse me with good memory so I can remember important details of this upcoming conversation."

Or, "Rosemary, when I hang up this sachet of you, please stand as a sentinel of my sleep and guard against bad dreams."

Or, "Rosemary, when I place your pot by the front door, please cleanse the air of all sickness that may enter, and keep the home healthy."

(And yeah, there are Techniques to this, but that's not what this post is about)

But the problem is that sometimes, the Guy might not be that helpful until you get to know him a little more and things get chill between you two. Or he might show you hidden aspects to himself that are not common and not talked about by other people.

So you can get into a situation where you've been hanging with Rosemary for a while and have a really weird dream and all of the sudden, Rosemary can make other people tell you the truth.

That's not a Rosemary correspondence and it's probably not something that other people can do with Rosemary.

But it's something you can do with Rosemary because you've gotten to know each other on a friend level.

A missing factor for me, and maybe for other people, was treating spellwork like a potion-making game where you just gather X amount of Y-aligned correspondence and if you mix enough of them you get a Potion of Y.

Like if you need protection, you just go to a correspondence list and find enough Protection-aligned plants (regardless of how they work or their personalities or attributes) and put them together in a bag and saying an unrelated charm or prayer that you say no matter which plants you put in the bag.

Which is how people end up with 50 little jars of dead plants that stay dead because they have no connection to them, still looking up what ingredients to use in which spells.

Which is fine, but it's also like... not necessarily what everyone is looking for.

So my point is that if correspondences are reduced to 4-5 purposes on a chart, then you get the correspondence brainrot which is like "which kitchen herb is a gentle cleanser, and which kitchen herb is a strong cleanser," when the reality is that if a guy can Cleanse he can show up gently or strongly in his own unique way,

And it all makes more sense by just treating him like a Guy and asking him to do what you need to do.

I genuinely think that if a practitioner is looking for something deeper and more relational in their practice, a really good way is to scale everything back and start using like one activated (evoked, prayed over, petitioned, etc.) Ally in each spell and just asking if he, as a Guy, can or wants to do something for you.

Like if you go absolutely bonkers over a good cup of Chamomile tea, what's the harm in asking Chamomile to cleanse for you? What's the harm in asking Chamomile to protect your home, or bless your sleep?

At the very least you're going to begin learning a lot about Chamomile in an interpersonal way, where you can begin understanding the "correspondence" for yourself. And you can also learn some fucking cool stuff, like, isn't it weird that when I ask Chamomile to protect my home, we all started finding little bits of cash we had lost?

Idk. Magic is just easier when more things are Guys.

This might have to do with them being ruled by the sun and moon. The sun is bright and full of energy (just like leos), it shines that light onto the moon (leos hyping them up and spreading love and constantly giving their energy to them). The moon reflects the light back whenever shined upon (cancers at first will mirror what energy the Leo’s are giving). Cancers can only do this for so long though, eventually they aren’t able to keep up with it anymore and they show their actually energy which for Leo’s comes out of nowhere and they feel switched up on and betrayed. It takes both a very matured cancer and Leo to be in a healthy relationship/friendship successfully.

♠️Having a 8th house stellium is exhausting y’all but as you get older it will get easier. Not in the way that the things that we are prone to running into stop but in the way that we realize our power more and we won’t feel as exhausted anymore because we know better ways to approach the situations. For example I have five Aries degrees in my chart and I have red hair. Your other placements can possibly tell you what shade. I also have five Aquarius degrees (traditionally ruled by saturn) and a cap rising and I have a dark auburn shade (saturn rules black or the absence of light)

Thoughts on 3D

So Jungkook's collab with Jack Harlow is out. It is catchy; it will go viral. I have purchased it; I will add it to my new releases playlists--same as I do for all our boys.

But while the dancing was cool and JK's parts are okay (I'm not thrilled that the word "girl" is used literally 20 times, but I get what the western music industry is), I was--I need to be honest here--really taken aback and unhappy with how misogynistic Jack Harlow's rap lyrics were. As far as I'm concerned, he's absolutely unnecessary, and I'll be supporting the alternate version with a lot more enthusiasm.

A deeper look at the lyrics and more of my thoughts are under the cut if you're interested (but by clicking, you're agreeing to keep it respectful in the comments or you'll get banned.)

I was given to understand that "ABG" stands for "Asian Baby Girl" and refers to an Asian party girl who likes clubbing, wearing excessive makeup and tattoos, and revealing clothes, etc.

I also learned from Urban Dictionary—which can be an unreliable site with outdated or incorrect information—that "champagne" has referred to underage girls in the past and "confetti" or nowadays “champagne confetti” refers to orgasm, or sometimes when a group of men or women surround someone, masturbate, and then ejaculate on them.

Not even going to get into the shrooms thing. I'm not in a hyper conservative country with harsh punishments for those type of drugs so... I was a bit taken aback about a song about being fucked right, and now there's lyrics about what amounts to harem girls.

*sigh* Do you know how much I hope I'm reading into things incorrectly? Please correct me if I'm misunderstanding the innuendo, but this is what urban dictionary says. I'm 44 and live in a cave. Maybe I'm wrong.

But in any case, the vibe of Jack's parts in the video was not coming off respectful.

I don't care how many other rap songs objectify and insult women--I won't get behind any content that does. And don't even try to gaslight me or other ARMY into saying we should like this because it's comparatively worse in other rap songs. Don't try to suppress any discourse about it, either--let women discuss how they feel about how they are represented. Don't police women. Don't silence women.

BTS' rap music got so much better once they incorporated feminist feedback, so I'm used to a higher standard and I won't be lowering those standards for anyone. I have no hang ups about sex, but please miss. me. with. misogynistic. bullshit.

Then again, it seems some of the rap hyungs were on board with this.

So I guess industry pros have a different take on stuff like this!

Okay, we have established that I really don't like Jack Harlow's contributions to this song. Which means I'll support the alternative. Thank goodness they had the foresight to provide an alternative!

Now I can work for JK's charts in a way that doesn't aggravate my conscience. All good. Enough said on 3D.

Personally? I really hope JJK1 showcases JK's range of genres, but also has a range of topics besides pursuing girls or being cool.

I just can't vibe with a fuckboy persona; I never liked Justin Bieber or Justin Timberlake for that very reason, even if some of their songs sound fine. Now, if Jungkook really admires their style and wants to pursue it, I'm not going to rag on him for it. Of course not. It's his choice and I can respect people's choices without making the same choices myself.

I will always try to support our members as far as I can, even if not everything is my cup of tea.

But I can't help hoping for something personal and authentic and substantive, when it's just Jungkook coming to us without a collab. (And with Scooter at the helm for an all-English EP, I guess I'm not holding my breath. But maybe this is all part of the learning and growing process. Time will tell.)

Please know that I don't expect other people to suit me and my tastes, but neither will I enthusiastically support content with my time and money when they don't suit me at all or actually really turn me off, ya feel me? It's a real and respectful relationship I have with BTS and their music; not performative. I don't follow along quietly out of obligation, but rather a sincere joy to participate.

I love Jungkook deeply. He's a sweet and intelligent and kind-hearted young man. Amazingly talented and humble. Sincere, open to being vulnerable, protective of those whom he loves. He donates to kid's hospitals, for goodness sake. Jeon Jungkook is a good egg.

I guess I'm just sort of feeling a bit whelmed by the type of music that is in vogue these days. JK worked hard, he did well on his parts. I just am hoping his album showcases some of the emotional depth and meaningful thoughts I have seen from him in the past, if I'm being purely honest. *shrug*

Those are my less-than-two cents. Of course, you may have a vastly different perspective and I appreciate that. Just please keep it respectful of all members and each other in the comments here. It's been a long day and I desperately need some real rest now. I'm trusting I can post this and not come back to a warzone.

Analysing Valentino Rossi's handwriting

okay so to preface this so I don't have to explain myself if I ever get anything wrong:

1. I have lost most of my knowledge regarding graphology after I got deep into it about 4 years ago. I rediscovered it about 3 days ago. Moreover, I'm just a girl on the internet, not a scholar. Some things might be inaccurate.

2. Graphology is considered a pseudo-science. There is no empirical evidence backing up graphology; if it's more understandable that way, think of it as analyzing someone's birth charts.

3. I generally do not know the people whose handwriting I analyze. I nor know what Valentino Rossi is like in real life, and neither will I ever. This is for funsies <3 I just enjoy graphology.

4. An important, somewhat unspoken, rule of graphology is that it's imperative I keep aside my knowledge of what I've seen him act like in public and focus solely on what the page tells me.

5. ALSO. Our handwriting has fixed as well as unfixed traits. For example, your IQ is fixed, likewise, your aptitudes, temperament, and identity are all fixed. There are unfixed traits as well in our handwriting. They keep changing depending on the conditions. Your abilities, attitudes, moods, beliefs, motivational level, and physical conditions are unfixed traits. People's handwriting also changes depending on whether they are writing for themselves (eg. a personal note, journal) or for someone else (eg. a letter <- like the sample currently at hand !)

6. I will sound nerdy at times as I might quote some graphology experts or use their works verbatim from their books. I have tried to keep it as simple as possible but still, if anything is unclear/your opinions vary, asks are always open <3

Now, the actual analysis

1. Initial Impression

This is a “normal” writing sample at first glance. Form quality doesn't reflect over-embellished or neglectful form. The writing is legible, which is expected considering it is a letter. The handwriting is slightly middle zone dominant(explanation in section 8.) indicating a bit of self-centredness and concern regarding day-to-day life. There are a lot of things crossed off which may show emotional distress at the time of writing the sample. I also noticed the large spacing between the lines at first glance and it generally shows fear of isolation(he was leaving Yamaha 💀) and distrust. There are also some arcades and garlands at the end of words(explanation in section 10). WEIRDASS LOWER ZONES. 

But mainly, it's so… erratic; the baseline is erratic, the slant is mostly vertical but still erratic at times, and the way he crosses off so much stuff is an indicator of emotional distress. 

2. Baseline

The baseline is the imaginary line running from left to right at the same level. It is on this imaginary line that letters rest on dividing upper and lower areas while moving forward to the right. Any movement horizontally along the baseline represents your reaction to experiences, living values, time demands, and learning. Right motion is to advance, expand, and progress and left motion is to revert, constrict, and regress. The baseline reveals 1. attitudes about reaching our goals, 2. the kind of mental energy we apply to our life situations, and 3. our general moods.

Initial lines in the sample display a “Moody” baseline or an erratic baseline(some authors call it a “sinuous” baseline). When a baseline has a number of ups and downs, or ascending and descending it is called erratic. Of course, it shows the moodiness of the person. They may laugh and cry easily and have lots of ups and downs in their lives. They are unbalanced as the handwriting shows. This is not to be confused with an incoherent, aka, ”sociopathic baseline”.

HOWEVER, the end of the sample follows a stable baseline which is an indicator that the person shows controlled/consistent behaviour to the outward world. A straight line is a straightforward path and its meaning is a firm, unchanging foundation. Its positive qualities are straightness, discipline, willpower, constancy of purpose, and responsibility. Its negative aspect impact is inflexibility. 

I wish I had more samples to confirm my thoughts and form a consistent opinion because I cannot conclude a single baseline pattern followed by the person. Language and cultural upbringing differences also don’t help. 

3. Slant

A handwriting can be a. just vertical; it stands straight on a baseline as though at 90 degrees. b. inclined to the right or c. inclined to the left. Further, it can be lightly inclined, very inclined, or acutely reclined. In general:

Leftward slant writers are emotionally cold and defiant, self-centered, and/or selfish. Overly leftward can be very emotionally sick. Extremely left slants often indicate past trauma and/or inability to move on/ recover. 

Upright/vertical slant reveals emotional reserve, suppression, and self-reliance. The person acts not with his/her heart but with the head. The person can be cool under pressure.

One’s right slant indicates compliance with people. The person is emotionally expressive. The person will act according to emotions. Here pressure levels reveal how intense the emotions are expressed. Overly right slant writer cannot control his/her emotions.

Variable slants betray mostly an emotionally unstable person.

I had a terrible time with this one because even when I superimposed a chart on it, it was still unclear which slant it follows. Rossi’s handwriting appears to go in all directions however it is seldom on the extreme ends(ie, acutely inclined to the right or acutely reclined to the left. Both of these are “abnormal” and rare.) 

If we write with an unstable slant, we feel pulled in different directions. An unstable slant is a wobbling slant. At one moment the person is affectionate and at another moment he is aloof. The more unstable a wobble, the more unstable is the writer. The interpretation of the slant is based on the universal concept of ‘left versus right.’ Usually, people associate the left with the past and the right with the future. If the left and the right represent the past and the future, then the centre represents the present.

4. Size

Size simply refers to whether the writing is large or small. Of course, there are many categories in size, like large, overly large, medium, small, or overly small (microscopic). It is an unfixed trait. Because, depending upon the mood, people write sometimes small and at other times big. It also depends upon the paper on which they write. 

Valentino’s handwriting again follows a somewhat irregular pattern when it comes to size. I say this because size changing over a few lines is completely normal but irregular size between words shows emotional instability.

 According to Karen Amend et al, “variable letter sizes, that is, middle zone letters ranging in size from 1116th of an inch upwards, show a writer who is emotionally off-balance a good deal of the time. Too much caught up in his own feelings, he is likely to be self-centered, overly expressive, indecisive, and childish. Those around him often find him moody and immature, but not always without charm.”

(I do not agree with this description too much but this is all i could find regarding unstable size)

The letters enlargen in the middle of the sample, especially when he mentions someone by their name. If a certain word or name becomes suddenly bigger in comparison with other words in the same line, then we can conclude that the writer has invested some emotions either positive in the person or thing signified by that particular word that got enlarged. When we hold somebody or something in high esteem, then automatically that word gets enlarged in our writing. On the contrary, if we have less regard, and think less of the person, then the word automatically shrinks.

5. Margin

NARROW UPPER MARGIN

In short, it shows informality. If your handwriting leaves a very narrow margin on the top, it is an indication that you are informal with the person to whom you write. It shows informality and familiarity. Just because you are comfortable with the person, you start writing from the very beginning. (this does match with the contents of the sample at hand)

(Not much more to say really, the margins are wide on left and right side but it doesn't favor one side, which shows a balance/peace with their past as well future)

6. Speed

Speed refers to how fast or slow one writes. It measures how quickly or slowly an individual thinks and acts, the person’s intelligence level, and finally the degree of spontaneity and honesty. When we speak of speed, we are referring to the natural speed of the writer in thought, action, and reaction. All of us have an optimum speed at which we think and act most comfortably. If one is forced for a long time to go faster or slower than the optimum speed that will end up in difficulties. Speed tells of the intelligence and spontaneity of the writer.

There are barely any signs that the sample was written in a rushed or sloppy manner. He does leave a few large gaps in between which indicate uncertainty and the writer is possibly taking time to gather their thoughts before putting them onto paper. 

7. Spacing

SPACING WITHIN WORDS

The distance that the writer places between the letters shows how he relates on a personal level to other people. Valentino’s handwriting shows more or less balanced and normal spaces within words. There is occasional tanglin but not to a concerning degree.  A normal, well-balanced spacing within the letter shapes and between them shows a personality that is balanced and flexible in relationship to others, with the ability for both closeness and reserve where appropriate.

SPACING BETWEEN WORDS

The space left between the written words represents the distance that the writer would like to maintain between himself and society at large. Rossi’s handwriting has rather narrow spaces between words. Very narrow spaces between the words show someone who will crowd others for attention, craving constant contact and closeness. Such a writer can be selfish in his demands and unwilling to give of his own time and energies to others.

SPACING BETWEEN LINES

The amount of space that the writer leaves between the lines on the page gives clues to the orderliness and clarity of his thinking, and to the amount of interaction that he wishes to have with his environment. Overall the sample at hand shows normal to slightly wide spacing between lines. There isn’t much tangling(sign of confusion/jumbled ideas) between the lines and neither are the lines excessively far apart(signs of suspicions and hostility). Normal spacing has its own personal harmony and flexibility. 

8. Zones

This is the most complex thing in graphology to me personally but to oversimplify, the three zones and what aspects they relate to are as follows:

I. Upper: fantasy, spirit, intellect, creativity, imagination

Ii. Middle: social life, daily life, everyday concerns

Iii. Lower: instinctual self and drives for security, materialistic things, biological needs

People can have a writing that is balanced across all zones or they may have a dominating zone. Valentino’s handwriting is overall middle zone dominant. According to Karen Amend et al, “If the Middle Zone is Strongly Developed, but neither the upper nor lower zones are, the writer is overly concerned for himself and his own daily activities. His self-assurance borders on presumptuousness and conceit, and he will make great issues of trivial things. The danger to this sort of writer is boredom and confinement in a self-centered world. ”

This is a somewhat pessimistic and outdated view of this trait(and respectfully I hate it <3). Most students today actually tend to have this type of handwriting and it’s quite common. While it is a somewhat “childish” trait, it may show the person’s extroversion and general concern over daily concerns. (This view is what I believe in more than the weird self-centred blah blah explanation.)

9. Printing & Cursive Writing

To oversimplify, print writing = intellectual/methodical person/head-over-heart or trying to be coherent. Cursive = fast/connected thoughts. 

Valentino mixes these two and it is considered an example of efficient breaks in print-cursive handwriting. It is quite common and indicates that the writer is intelligent, succinct, efficient, direct and fast, and simple in writing.

10. Connecting Strokes

(This was another aspect I had a hard time with because I am so out of touch with the knowledge I used to have.)

There are 4 types of connecting strokes: garland, angles, thread, and arcades. 

(I’ve already written more than anyone wishes to read so I'll just jump to the conclusions instead of explaining each.) He uses a lot of garlands(upward strokes) as connecting strokes. If you write with garland connectors, then you are open, friendly, sociable, affectionate, flexible, ready to establish a link with others and communicate easily. Garlands are associated with openness and friendliness. More women than men seem to use garland connectors.

Garland is an image of round and open and is sincere, receptive, and obliging. Hence the positive qualities are feminine traits, friendliness, kindliness, natural behaviour, lack of formality, receptiveness, and adjustability. Socially, they are adaptable and flexible, but their strong need for security makes them feel threatened by any changes in their home, family, or lifestyle. These types are expressive yet conventional. They want communication with and acceptance by other people.

11. Signatures

Signature reveals: one’s public self-image, self-confidence, egotism, self-destruction, diversity, and creativity. Signature is the sum and substance of your public self-image. It shows how one behaves in public, how one acts around others, and in short, one’s social persona.

Signature larger than the script 

The writer is advertising and wishes to be recognized as an important person. Pride, self-esteem, ambition, and self-confidence are shown. (also a sign of vanity)

Creative Signature

The graphic imagery of the creative signature will mirror or express the nature of the creative drive, as in the beat of music, the stroke of brush or pen, or creative imagery that reflects the professional involvement.

I dont think anyone is a sociopath because of their chart, but this is what I think:

8th house/pluto placements: They have seen how unfair this world is. Probably blamed for stuff they didnt do because they look guilty. So they might grow up thinking ”people are going to suspect me anyways so I might as well be bad”. They also had a lot of people leave them for no reason so they learned to never let anyone too close. 8th house Venus might have been hurt in love a lot so they learned to date for gain instead of dating for love since they only got shit on by those they loved.

Harsh aspects to Venus: Especially Saturn and Pluto. Constant conflict, betrayal or issues in love and friendships. With Pluto aspecting Venus there might have constantly been a third party involved so they learned to never love too deeply. Might also have been less attractive when young and later had a glow up and now they want payback.

Nessus conjunct personal planets: Can be very abusive and manipulative. There is an intensity and a very creepy side to this asteroid. This asteroid if aspecting Moon seems to indicate generational trauma and the women in the family might have been abusing eachother for 1000 years. I know two women with this aspect who were bullied by both their grandmother and their mothers + stepmoms. They both became very disturbed mentally because of this. And I know people with Nessus conjunct Sun who were horribly abused by the father. The worst part of Nessus is that the people with the Nessus aspecting their planet were often treated worse than siblings etc. Might not have recieved the same gifts as the others children etc. This leaves them with a deep self hatred and anger.

Hard Lilith aspects: Constantly scrutinized, sexualized and not welcomed anywhere. They were forced to become a bitch. When I meet someone whos a total bitch and I see that they got hard Lilith aspects to Sun or Ascendant Im always like ”ohhh okay i understand”. Not that its okay to be mean people tho, but being treated like that does stuff to your brain. ”A child not embraced by the village will burn it down to feel its warmth”. Women like this might feel like they got shit on for their sex appeal or their cunningness so now they USE that sex appeal instead to take the power back. You accuse someone for too long they will become what you accuse them of.

Nemesis conjunct Sun or Moon: Everyone turned out to be a secret enemy so they learned to not form a bond with anyone. Or even worse, learned to turn on others before anyone can turn on them.

Extremely specific neurodivergent curtwen headcanons that crack me like an egg:

ADHD Agent Mega is practically fan canon at this point, but I feel like we focus on him being bored & fidgeting more than other ADHD issues. Like I imagine so much of his macho guy bluster is 1. from being gay in a homophobic society, but also 2. From Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria. I dunno, something about the way he gets so flustered and defensive when people criticize him (which happens constantly)?

I've been thinking about maybe Curt being dyslexic? Like maybe he doesn't read briefings because they're already difficult to focus on, but also they're literally difficult to read? He mixes up information no matter how hard he tries. He's learned to stop trying and pretend he's just too cool for that nerd shit, but whenever someone gives him a hard time for screwing up he takes it really really personally? He has big emotional outbursts, which is especially tough as a closeted gay man in the 1950s-1960s

I have a lot of headcanon about autistic Owen Carvour, but it's kinda weird because he's canonically the villain of SAF, and that tends to stray uncomfortably into "he was always a monster" OR "the fall made him into a monster." So with autistic Owen headcanon it veers too close to saying that being autistic made him a monster (yikes, no) or that becoming disabled (no way in hell he doesn't have chronic pain issues after all that) made him a monster (also yikes, no).

So for me, the way that I frame it is like... okay so Owen is literally masking in the show, but I think about what that says about him that one of the major details we know about him is that he is very good at pretending to be other people. I'm a heavily masked autist myself, so this really resonates with me. With autistic men there are some very specific stereotypes like math, bad at social interaction, etc. But I think Owen would have a profile more stereotypically attributed to women: being hyper aware of everything around him, using "movie talk" or just remembering interactions with others and having a script. I don't know how to explain it exactly, but it's like you enter a situation and you can more or less suss out what people are expecting from you in that situation, so you just flip through your mental rolodex of phrases and deliveries and ways to stand and hold your face that align with their expectations of you. You become adept at blending in.

I would fully believe that Owen reads every briefing multiple times and has charts and diagrams, and maybe before the fall part of why he does that is that he knows Curt is a talented agent but just struggles with that part of the job, and Owen feels protective of him. Like he gets that Curt is impulsive and feels the need to be a counterweight to that. It feels like Curt blocks out information and takes in stimuli, and Owen blocks out stimuli but takes in as much info as humanly possible.

Then there's all the villain shit obviously. This is extreme headcanon territory, but one part of being autistic is what they call the "autistic sense of justice." That absolutely does not mean that autistic people have some preternatural ability to be eternally on the right side of history, we all have our individual identities and experiences coloring what we consider "justice," but just on a personal level being autistic and becoming disabled radicalized me. It led to me becoming anti-capitalist & anti-imperialist. It drastically changed my perception of right and wrong because I had to interrogate my own understanding of power, the way the concept of "crime" is created (like you get jail time for shoplifting, but your boss doesn't get punished at all for stealing money out of your paycheck).

I've already done ridiculous long posts about the political stuff, but I do think that an autistic person, especially one who has gone through a massive trauma, might come through it with a new understanding that the US/UK governments are actually pretty awful, that ignorant brutes shouldn't be in charge of politics and information.

🫧 Infps are literally everywhere, its also a bit easy to tell if they’re an infp. Like quite literally a go with the flow or “everything is fine, at least Im in one piece” type of manner. I have 4 infp friends and they are compassionate yet goofy lil softballs. Like ur talking about something and they will suddenly link it to something random. When we were mentioning bridgerton on netflix, my infp friend went: paddington? Like the bear? And we all went: huh?- Creative lil weirdos, they definitely have a way with words and creativity with their own thinking and ideas.

🫧 Isfjs are quite the giver for humanitarian things or aim to help for the wellbeing of people. They’re the type to donate blood, volunteer, or do work surrounding an organization that helps others. I have a friend who retook the test and got isfj, and altho she was sad cuz she wanted to still be a isfp lol. But it makes sense as she actually does a lot of humanitarian work and cares a lot about the wellbeing of her friends and etc. she volunteered to donate blood once but her iron level was too low, and she was always interested in learning ASL and even thought of being a ASL interpreter in the future. These ppl are naturally giving or drawn to helping others in some way.

The air energy allows them to gather information and put together the concepts as earth placements can analyze or fixate upon the details for a deeper reasoning. Often times, these individuals with both these energies in their chart would have a t (thinking) or j (judging) in their mbti. The need to organize their findings and many concepts and ideas they can latch onto make them excellent speakers/debaters and detectives, articulate and precise.

🎀 Air and water placements, especially cancer and gemini, together in a birthchart can make them emotional and receptive to others emotions and social awareness. This leads to them to go with the flow or to try to offer an understanding level, its also why ppl find them easy to talk to and relating - allowing them to talk to these individuals while they offer a listening ear and comforting words. These individuals with these placements may have f (feeling) or p (perceiving) in their mbti. Able to adapt or not be judgmental of others differences, they are open to many different lifestyle, ideas, and people. Additionally with air + water in their chart, they can creatively channel their ideas a lot onto art or appeal to others with their own ways of expression and thinking.

The way they think is more grounded with a sense of logic to it, they’re more calm and rational about realistic problems or ideas and may not jump to as much conclusions or assumptions as n (intuitive) type ppl (who may overthink a lot). The way they express themselves is in an honest and levelheaded way, not overly complicating things by sticking to their core principles and logical reasons to break it down.

I’m just scared to post it on here because people will send me so much hate for believing that stuff/ bringing it up on here…./ I mean we talk about stuff from gossip sites, we’ll just take it with a grain of salt but I’m so curious

okay I can share some things she said to me, after I cried her ears off for an hour about my own boyfriend lol. I was there for almost 2 hours! Please take all of this with a grain of salt and remember that none of this might be true / has to come true / have any meaning:

I didn't tell her that we spoke about a superstar (this woman is 82 years old) so I presented both their birth charts as "friends of mine" lmao and right away she was like "does your friend struggle with anxiety and panic attacks? because my hands are shaking and my stomach feels super upset, does she have stomach issues?" lmao accurate

she said Taylor has a lot of trauma and mistrust inside of herself and that has been an issue from the first day in the relationship. However, she learned a lot and got better in time. Still, she is the one that starts drama in the relationship (which was due to her insecurities)

she said she felt drawn to Joe because he was the first man who didn't react to her shenanigans. Like, she could go up the wall and he'd be like "okay babe, I'll take a shower and we'll talk later when you calm down" lol and that was like a first for her because before Joe she only dated people who didn't have enough confidence to stand that - so his quiet confidence and how he reacted towards her and challenged her was a big factor in their love

she said Joe really changed her in some aspects. Like, she has been wronged in the past but she also knows that she has wronged some people (didn't give any details) and that Joe taught her to apologise and admit her mistakes to others in a way she didn't do it before.

what gave me goosebumps is that she was like "did she break up or him? did she tell you it was her who ended the relationship?" I was like????? she goes "I almost feel like she wants people to know that she broke up, but it was him. She would've never broken up with this man" - mate I felt like puking 🤢

she said that Taylor holds a lot of grudges against people/things/being wronged in the past and for Joe this was the one thing where he felt like she didn't really grow up. Like, he doesn't care about these sort of ego things, but she does (which I get, I mean she's a legend) and so he didn't understand why she would always get so upset about things and people. It's almost like she's a very intense and temperamental person and he just wanted them to enjoy life and be happy (so it's like they struggled with an energetic imbalance together)

what almost made me cry is that she said "wow, this break up is killing her." and then she was like "she needs you to be there for her because this is the biggest wound of her life so far, this one goes deep." 🤮

then she also talked about Joe's communication issues and that because he never reacted to her emotions, he kind of triggered her insecurities of her thinking "he doesn't react to me because he doesn't love me"

she said Joe was clearly the one pushing for children and family and she felt like he made her choose because he wanted her to slow her career down - but not in like a toxic way. She was like "he just understands clearly that her job has such a big impact in her life right now, there's no space for him or children anywhere" and then she was like "what does your friend do for a living? I get really intense energies" LMAO I was like... yeah she's pretty successful in her job lol

she said that she feels like Taylor might want to make him jealous in the next weeks/months but that the door for him is sadly closed, because he's the type of person when if it's over, it's over.

what touched me is that she said that overall for Taylor's life, this is one of the most important lessons, because his purpose in her life was to teach her to let go of her grudges and understand that ego isn't that important. And she said she will realise this down the road and even though they won't be together she will reach out to him and say "hey, you were right back then, and it might took losing you for me to get it, but thank you for what you taught me" 🥹 so like, in the long run she thinks Taylor will be super grateful for him and see his role in her life

overall she said they had a great connection, but it couldn't work out in terms of family etc cause he was here to teach her this one important lesson + he needs to work on his communication

she thinks Taylor needs to focus on her career for the next few years because this will ultimately bring her to the place she actually belongs

what was interesting is that she was like "is there someone at work who she used to fancy a while back?" 😅 so apparently there's someone in her life she knows/works with and who she wishes could be different in a way (not sure how she meant it) but that the good news is that this person will become exactly what she always hoped for in a few years. Like, all the qualities she wants in a husband/partner/father. So apparently it's someone she works with. But it takes a few years until that person has actually evolved enough basically

Taylor has to take care of her health 🙃 she was like "she has stomach issues and needs to get it checked out"

She said Joe gives off dad energy and that's what she is looking for in future partners, like someone calm and caring

my personal opinion- especially having now read the notebooks which, hm, i'd say clarify some things in terms of Roberts' extremely early intentions here*- is that the later re-framing of Rung as having in-universe issues with his practice is a kind of attempt at an authors' saving throw, after Roberts realised he fucked some stuff up early on. and the early stuff doesn't feel to me like the comic feels Rung is in any way compromised or untrustworthy, which does indeed make it relevant to how the comic frames disability because he becomes a lens through which it is "authoritatively" presented to us as readers.

this creates a situation where looking back on it retroactively you can, as a reader, construct a kind of "okay, the reason this weirdness is here regarding stuff like Whirl being talked about this uncomfortable way is maybe because Rung is unreliable!" explanation, but the text read on its own at the time doesn't actually indicate anything of the sort, and frankly doesn't really work if you take this approach IMO. let me get into a compare-and-contrast actually, i'll cut for length.

this seems notable to me, because there is a difference in how certain characters are framed where Rung is used as a kind of "viewport-character" into ones the comic doesn't seem to assume a reader will relate to. take the oft-compared treatment of Chromedome and Red Alert, both characters whose suicide attempts are depicted early on. Chromedome is presented as a character the audience might directly relate to, and his experiences are framed by his narration, his direct relating of what happens, and there's room there for a reader to identify with him. (#12) it doesn't assume everyone will, but to me, that emphasis on inhabiting his viewpoint as a reader suggests that the text accommodates it as a likely possibility.

but by contrast, Red Alert is narrated to us through Rung a lot more when his mental health struggles come up (#5), which tells me something about an assumption the text makes about who its assumed readership will "relate to". namely: it finds that harder to believe than Chromedome. we hear Rung's inner monologue explaining his experiences of giving Red Alert therapy, learning about Red's experiences of delusions and paranoia through an external source, not his own words. his "progress" is charted to the reader not through Red's own thoughts about the experience, but Rung relating (as an authority figure the audience is assumed to trust the judgement of) his experience being Red's therapist.

this feels, to me, like a kind of dichotomy is being established on some level between experiences of mental illness and suicidality some people in the assumed readerbase might relate to (Chromedome, who has experience of some form of clinical depression directly related to acute circumstance, and who has a suicide attempt he engages in as a pre-mediated response to it) and those it is implicitly assumed most readers will see as unrelatable, if potentially sympathetic (Red Alert, who has… probably a form of paranoid personality disorder(?) that is suggested to include psychotic features(?? maybe?), whose suicide attempt is more spontaneous). the obvious discussion to be had is about forms of more or less stigmatized mental illness in society.

see also: Red's actual attempt at suicide largely being revealed to the reader and processed through other characters standing around talking about it, and at one point being presented as Basically A Good Thing, For Now because oh well, some mental illnesses are bad enough to warrant it, probably? (versus uh, I don't think the comic would suggest CD being comatose after a nearly-succesful suicide attempt was better than living with and processing his clinical depression!)

Rung exists in these kinds of scenes to provide an entry point to "understand" and sympathize with (but not directly relate to) Red Alert. we also see this when Fort Max is acting "crazy" in Interiors, for example, where the narrative follows external observers during his breakdown, not Max himself. this approach does not function on a basic level if Rung is fundamentally suspect as a narrator at this point, regarding his role as a therapist; it leaves us as readers totally unmoored. when Rung responds to patients in ways that read as suspect, that to me therefore suggests the text is assuming things about its audience's perspectives, experiences, and opinions on the matter, ones I perhaps disagree with, rather than anything about Rung as a person.

the text's opinions on some things evolve slightly over time, however, which means later on there has to be a kind of course-correction with things Rung does and says that now feel increasingly out of step, hence the very weird and utterly unforeshadowed "reveal" that Rung is disbarred because of unethical practices (except we never get confirmation this is real and not Froid making it up, because the story can't actually sustain Rung having been unethical the entire time: see above)

in short: i do think it's very relevant, yes, and the changing of Rung's role over time is observable in how the comic is responding to (at times very strong) criticism from various readers, to the point i'd say it's metatextual on some level. but it's only really noticeable when you take a step out-of-universe and look at the comic as a comic, IMO, so starting from Rung's characterization is not very productive in this specific discussion.

(* namely, that he has to (at least once) put a justifiably embarrassed present day note in that he clearly didn't know what the fuck he was talking about when it came to certain mental illnesses, which he now acknowledges.)

So much of traditional wisdom describes the end-point and top layer of what you're supposed to feel/be in order to be 'wise', 'disciplined', 'emotionally mature' , 'confident', 'grounded', 'peaceful' etc.

The issue is that describing this can come across as incredibly patronising and dismissive to people who don't get it - and it doesn't help that the majority of people who tell you to 'not dwell on it' aren't really doing so out of pure motivations. Mostly they just kinda want you to shut up and stop making them think too much. And this sounds harsh but that's because it's just part of the human experience to be wrapped up in yourself, and whilst people wan the best for you, ultimately they've got their own problems to deal with and aren't your therapist, so they're never going to be giving you completely pure, non-dismissive advice.

The thing is, if you're sensitive like me, you pick up suuuper fast that there's something 'off' about the way people give you wisdom, and that's exactly what stopped me from developing myself all those years. As a depressed person I ended up seeing those wisdom-givers as ultimately vapid and NPC-esque. Not like in a horrible blackpilled way, just in a 'but you don't get the depth and vastness of my suffering!' kind of way. It's a teenagerish mindset, but that's the symbolic experience all round. I've seen a post that says 'you have to be a bit deluded to be happy!' in a positive way - and I can assure you, my fellow depressed people are all laughing at you. I'm not anymore, but I once was - like, how on earth are depressed people supposed to be comforted by the fact that in order to be happy they supposedly have to deny reality. I now understand what that post means but good god, that shit makes you look really vapid to people who believe they have no choice but to be sad.

When I learned all my wisdom, I kinda did it by accident. I did a lot of it through trialling stuff out - like, I'd push myself through discomfort and come out the other end and be like 'oh, that's what achievement really feels like'; or I'd put my feelings aside for the benefit of someone else and be like 'oh, that's what being mature is'; or I'd take a risk, even a small one, and realise 'oh, so that's what people mean when they say the benefit of taking risks is that you learn something about yourself'. I feel incredibly silly in hindsight, but I would rather feel silly and have learned something than be in the constant turmoil I once was. Now that's growth.

As I engaged with these concepts I eventually discovered to be wisdom, I felt like I was unlocking a whole new way to engage with language. What I want to do in talking about wisdom is explain the mechanism and interconnective tissue of what all these wise cliches actually mean. I used to scoff at the 'worry flow-chart' and say 'but you don't get it, man - I can't help but worry':

But now I understand that everything we do is representative of some belief inside us. I wanted to worry because I didn't feel like I was allowed to accept my own belief system, or I didn't like that actions had consequences - ultimately I wasn't taking responsibility for myself. If I'm worried I've left the oven on, and I don't choose to go back and sort it, then I'm clearly not that committed to that belief, and if I keep fretting about it to everyone around me, then I'm outsourcing my lack of internal commitment and consistency and making my own turmoil everyone else's problem. But being a worrier growing up I just assumed that I cared more about things like leaving the oven on and that everyone else was just a bit careless. In order to accept the actual meaning of the flow-chart instead of just dismissing it as a flippant cliche from people who are just 'built differently from me', I had to understand the underlying principle, I had to understand what I do and say and think and feel actually mean, and what they communicate to me about what my value system is and who I am as a person.

Now I understand that connective tissue, I want to be able to pass that on. I want to be able to use language in a way that I can communicate woolly, hard-to-pin-down concepts. In explaining this to people I found myself trying to brute-force words into contexts where I forge much more literal meanings out of them than people typically use. I realised that, actually, the language we use conveys concepts way more literally to our subconscious brains than our irony-poisoned culture could ever admit. I had to say things like 'no, it is that simple, actually' - using emphasis to highlight the literal. And that's harder to do in writing than spoken word, but I'm going to try.

Same. Like I literally found myself back on this godforsaken site after years because I needed to be able to vent about my love and obsession for this man.

Oh I would love to know his random opinions and his belief systems. I think he would find it amusing that we have looked up his astrological chart to the best of our abilities. Like he would definitely think "wow thats extensive" but he wouldn't make fun of it like some guys do.

So I know like very rudimentary Spanish that I learned because of my job. I got so often mistaken as some type of latin or hispanic person that it was easier to learn enough Spanish to get by and guests were always so understanding. "Oh she can understand us but it's hard for her to reply." I want to learn more Spanish but I don't have the time right now. I wish I could read his book but a translation isn't out yet.

As a filipino I feel like there will be a lot for me to relate to in the book considering the rampant colorism in all parts of Asia. Filipinos are often referred to as the 'Mexicans' of Asia. Which is weird but also fitting. What snippets of translation I've seen have been so interesting though.

A few years ago, I actually made a Pokémon AU for the Bardlings, and I will be using the same teams now, just with a few additions.

Not every character will be included, because there’s just so much I can do, but if you have any ideas for teams of a character who wasn’t included here, then feel free to share! Same goes if you have any other suggestions for the teams I made

They’re all grouped into the people they travel with, because the idea of them all traveling alone makes me sad. The gym leaders will be at the end of the post, and they will all have full teams but like they’d be changed around depending on what order they actually are in.

Also, I do not know who the champion is. Maybe it’s Manwë, maybe it’s Lobelia Sackville-Baggins.

Frodo Baggins, Traveler - Umbreon, Joltik, Kecleon, Sableye, Honedge, Bagon

The nephew/adopted son of the gym leader of Shire City, the Step-Nephew(?) of the gym leader of Erebor City, and the brother/cousin of the gym leaders of Dale City, Frodo lives under constant pressure. Growing up in Shire City, there was a certain expectation that he would one day become a gym leader himself like the rest of his family, or at least a great battler. Frodo is not. He’s too soft to be a battler, he doesn’t like to see his Pokémon hurt, he’s forgetful of moves, he’s just not that good at it. The reason he’s traveling is less because he has a goal, and more because he wants to avoid people (He’s like his uncle in many ways).

Samwise Gamgee, Cook in training - Espeon, Mudsdale, Lycanroc Dusk Form, Floette, Greedent, Diglett

Born and raised in Shire city, has been the best friend with Frodo since they were three, and has been in love with Frodo since they were four. He understands Frodo’s plight with his family, and he does anything to help and support him in any way he can. Travels both to help his bro, but also to see the world and learn about new and exotic plants. He’s very curious about both botany and cuisine, so he takes in as much as he can.

Merry Brandybuck, Pokémon Coordinator - Gogoat, Pancham, Thievul, Bibarel, Galarian Zigzagoon, Minun

A boy of Shire city, Merry is a clever but very stupid lad. Thing is, Merry likes battling. He’s not bad either. But he also just really fucking likes showing off, and cool move effects and big explosions. Contests give you all of that. Man’s a brilliant battler, with a lot of good strategies and ways to combine his Pokémon’s moves to make for some beautiful creations, but the place he falls is just that he has no fucking idea on what is good against what. It’s not just the type charts, but also simple stuff like stats. He usually helps his mate Pippin in any way he can with his battling, as he would never be able to make it in an actual battle.

Pippin Took, Pokémon trainer - Breloom, Spinda, Sudowoodo, Swinub, Zigzagoon, Plusle

This Shire City boy may be dumb af, but by god he is trying alright? He’s attempting to be a trainer, but he can be a bit “uncreative” when it comes to strategies. The angel/devil on his shoulder Merry is the only reason he’s getting anywhere. At least he’s very caring about his lil guys.

Aragorn Eveningstar, Pokémon ranger in training - Empoleon, Aegislash, Sceptile, Scizor, Marowak, Galarian Farfetch’d

The adopted son of the Rivendell City gym leader. Fricking stacked trainer, honestly, with a strong and relatively balanced team. He’s always been more interested in Pokémon rangers though, with their goal to preserve nature and protect rare Pokémon. He’s had a few (rather strange) run ins with legendary and mythical Pokémon before as well. He’s still a bit away from applying to be a ranger though, mostly because he still has a lot he wants to see and do. Rather cliche, but he wants to find himself.

Legolas Greenleaf, aspiring gym leader - Decidueye, Leafeon, Hisuian Lilligant, Formantis, Serperior, Abomasnow

Guess three times what his favorite typing is. The Mirkwood city gym has been in his family for many generations, and he’s determined to be the next one in line. He enjoys the free spirited nature and wildness of grass types, the way they can survive in any climate through adaptation. He’s absolutely smitten with Aragorn, partly just because he wants to protect nature and partly because, have you fricking seen Aragorn

Gimli Gloinson, Pokémon trainer - Tinkaton, Kleavor, Golett, Alolan Golem, Emboar, Froslass

Gimli is a trainer from Erebor city, but he has family all over the fricking region. Wherever they travel, he will have a relative there, even in this remote ass village in the woods, or this strange house atop a mountain. He's a big fan of Pokémon who look really bulky and tough, even though they sometimes aren't. Froslass was an accident, he meant to evolve her into a Glalie, but she accidentally came in contact with a dawn stone, but she's his baby. He may not look it, but he spoils his Pokemon absolutely rotten.

Boromir Minas-Tirith, Pokémon trainer - Bisharp, Aegislash, Samurott, Litwick, Luxray, Weavile

The older brother of the Gondor city gym leader, though he was set to inherit the gym after his father. He'd wanted to be a traveling pokémon trainer since he was young though, so he entrusted it to the person he trusts the most. He traveled alone for a long time, occasionally meeting and battling his friendly rival Aragorn, but then a short but hot headed girl started following him around, so you know there's that. He travels home a lot to watch his little brother battle and cheer him on more often than not.

Tilda Dragon, Pokémon Trainer - Sawsbuck, Flareon, Braixen, Shiny Dartrix, Phantump, Druddigon

A girl from Dale City, Tilda is less traveling and battling in an attempt to actually take on the champion, Lobelia Sackville-Baggins, and more to just get out there. Sometimes just skips the middle man when battling Pokémon, and just starts punching them herself. She’s a hazard to people and Pokémon alike, but mostly she’s a hazard to herself. A weird friendship with Boromir, but they make it work somewhat.

Bain Dragon, Pokémon Trainer - Mudsdale, Vaporeon, Shiny Liepard, Lycanroc, Sobble, Crobat

Bain is from Dale City, and he lost his eyes to a Sableye when he was young. Having always dreamt of becoming a Pokémon trainer, Bain’s dreams were crushed as without his eyesight, he could no longer see the battling before him. At least that’s what you’d think. But Bain learnt to fight without his eyes, going off his other senses instead, mainly hearing and feeling. He’s known throughout the Middle Earth region, and is an inspiration to many young trainers with disabilities.

(Also he travels with his partners Vivian and Kamarind (OCs), but I’m not bothering with giving both of them full teams. Kami does have a lot of water Pokémon tho, and Vivi has a Smeargle)

Sigrid Dragon, traveling nurse - Jolteon, Stoutland, Blissey, Noctowl, Milotic, Alcreime

Sigrid is the oldest of the ‘dragon children’, and has always been a very maternal to her siblings since the death of their mother. Because of Tilda’s habit of straight up fist fighting Pokémon, and Bain’s wounded eyes, she had to pick up the healers skill that is mostly reserved for the Joy family. She studied under Dale City’s Nurse Joy so she could help her siblings, but once they both left on their journeys, she became kinda lost. Until she realized, that while most people know a lot about how to heal a Pokémon (and even if not, there’s a Pokémon center in every city, town, and village), human healing is a less honed craft. So she travels across the region, helping out and educating as many people as she can. She knows absolutely nothing about how to heal Pokémon though, her Blissey is better at that.

(Sigrid also travels with Tauriel, but her team hasn’t been made yet. I will gladly take suggestions tho)

No one knows what’s going on with this dude. He’s incredibly powerful, yet he almost never battles (apart from with his ex husband that is). And here comes the gym leaders. They are in no particular order, and they all have full teams what can be switched around and changed depending on what order you yourself choose to start in.

Thorin Oakenshield, Steel types - Perrserker, Skarmory, Aggron, Bronzong, Archaludon, Kingambit

The gym leader of Erebor city, who looks very intimidating and majestic, but is a huge family man. Erebor City gym has always had a…reputation, mainly cause his grandfather went mad running it, overtraining his Pokémon and refusing to give out badges to people who beat him, and it was abandoned by his father and taken over by a fire trainer named Smaug for man years, but Thorin is adamant in that he can run it. He struggles with holding back when people come to his gym first, so it’s usually recommended that his is one of the later ones, but he’s gotten better at it. Happily married to the Shire City gym leader, and sometimes his gym is closed for a few weeks just cause he wants to visit his husband. Never during league season though.

Bilbo Baggins, Normal types - Kangaskhan, Snorlax, Ursaring, Buneary, Cinccino, Furfrou

The gym leader of Shire city, who looks very sweet and kind, but is about as stubborn as they come. His mother was a very famous traveler and explorer, and while he did do some travel in his youth (it’s how he met his husband), but he never quite had his mother’s spirit. He likes normal types for the simplicity of them, sure sometimes more fantastical Pokémon can be nice and cool, but you know what to expect with a normal type. During off league season, he run a small bakery, mostly for the fun of it. Also his Buneary hates his guts and refuses to evolve.

Elrond Eveningstar, Water types - Milotic, Quaquaval, Starmie, Lapras, Kingdra, Lanturn

Elrond is not just the gym leader of Rivendell City, but also the ‘lord’ of it, unofficial title. Rivendell has always been seen as a very welcoming and comforting city, especially to travelers, and no one embodies this better than Elrond. Despite being a strong trainer, Elrond tends to go a little too easy on new trainers. If you’re an experienced one he will not go easy on you though. His twin sons work in the gym as gym trainers, and they’re both pretty good at putting up a challenge for newer trainers, so it evens out for the most part.

Galadriel Galadrhim, Flying types - Altaria, Masquerain, Togekiss, Swanna, Sensu Oricorio, Mandibuzz

Every single forum discussing the gym challenge has agreed on one thing about the Lothlórien City gym leader, DO NOT TAKE HER ON FIRST. Galadriel is fully capable to becoming the champion, defeating even the legendary Lobelia Sackville-Baggins, but has too much passion for her city and gym. But she is stupidly strong, never dare underestimate.

Thranduil Greenleaf, Fairy types - Grimmsnarl, Shiinotic, Florges, Mawile, Sylveon, Alolan Ninetails

Mirkwood city gym isthe oldest still standing gym in all the region, and it’s been in the same family for that entire time. Thranduil has a lot of pride for his heritage, which can make him a bit of an intimidating person. He seems to be this regal, opposing figure, but in reality he’s just a very sassy drama queen. He has a throne in his gym that he sprawls out on between battles, dressing dramatically to match with his Pokémon, man wears a crown for Arceus sake. Absolutely adores his scraggy ass husband as well.

Faramir Minas-Tirith, Fighting types - Bewear, Falinks, Primape, Tauros blaze breed, Medicham, Scrafty

The extremely surprising gym leader of Gondor, as it was believed that his older brother would take over the gym. He struggles a lot with being the unexpected choice and the newest gym leader, and while his brother supports him as much as he can he is gone for the most part, out on a journey. He likes fighting types because they’re strong and resilient, despite all the hardships they face. All of his team are softies for him (Even Primape and Tauros, two naturally aggressive Pokémon), and Falinks especially has taken him in as their seventh member.

Sauroman White, Ghost types - Mismagius, Dusknoir Hisuian Zoroark, Sinistcha, Spiritomb, Gourgeist

Isengard city’s gym leader is known for two things. One, he is incredibly old fashioned in his battling style, refusing to ever change up his tactics and strategies. He frowns upon the new “Tera Types”, and “dynamax forms”, and all that. Back in the day, your Pokémon remained normal sized and normal typed, and we liked it! Two, he managed to fumble the region’s most iconic and famous person. Big L.

Fíli and Kíli Oakenshield, Duo trainers - Amped Toxtricity, Shiny Flapple, Armarouge (Fíli) Low Key Toxtricity, Shiny Appletun, Ceruledge (Kíli)

After former Dale city gym leader, Bard Dragon, retired, the two nephews of the neighboring city’s gym leader took over. Fíli and Kíli are two peas in a pod, fully inseparable. Their battling is so in sync it’s almost scary to witness, and many people struggle when facing them because of it. Outside of battle they are very boyish and loud, finding jokes in anything then witness. They enjoy teasing their brother/cousin, but when it comes down to it they’d protect him with their heart and soul.

I need tips on how to study/revise for chemistry,especially physical chemistry.

Dear anon, I don't know whether you meant boards or competitive exams, so I covered for both since it is based on common ground anyway.

There is no other way that we could do well in physical chemistry except practice. A LOT.

What I understand about this dilemma (that I too have at this point, not fully solved) is that by the time you do at least 15 questions on a topic, you can get a grasp on the important formulae/which topics the questions hail from.

Mole concept : limiting reagent, M, m, w/w or w/v% (this particular option is not that frequent), reactions with stoichiometry coinciding with chemical kinetics, electrochemistry and metallurgy

Atomic Structure : which spectral series is in which region of the spectrum, sums with ratio of wavelengths (largest, smallest, comparison of different series), emission and absorption spectra, parts correlating to the physics part of energy levels and radius of hydrogen-like species

Gaseous state : GRAHAM'S LAW OF DIFFUSION (I cannot stress this enough, do it), the Cv and Cp values for Mono, Di and Polyatomic gases which connects thermo in Chem as well as Physics, mean free path proportionalities

Thermo (unit) : everything. All the laws, equations and graphs. adiabatic, isothermal, isochoric, my head and my tongue. Do every numerical in thermo. It's a weak point for a lot of us and we, right now, have the time to make it... Well, a not weak point.

Equilibrium : learn all the formulae and before you learn the formulae visualise/logically understand how something is happening. Log tables, roots, figure out some way to make decimal operations easier. A lot of sums from this one tpo because it isn't that connected to physics like thermo or electrochemistry

Redox : Make a trick for recognising which one is oxidation and which one is reduction. Balancing reactions must be practiced.

Solid state : Repetitive revision of the lattice examples is the only way we can remember them. Muscle memory can serve us well here. Make charts or stick it up on your wall to look at it every few days if that works for you. The rest are formulae and 4-5 numbers to be remembered. Density sums, chemical formula sums, voids sums <- practice

Solutions : formulae, how you get van't hoff factor for a compound, association and dissociation which is linked with electrochemistry molar conductivity part

Electrochemistry : formulae, graphs, molar conductivity sums, kohlrausch's law sums, electrolyte difference/spotting (will help in equilibrium), the cathode and anode of cells (this rarely comes)

Chemical Kinetics : some zero and first order reaction examples (will connect to radioactivity in nuclei chapter), half life formulae, and the 75% and 99% concentration formulae too (these 2 are not there in the tbk but it makes life easier in both phy and chem), all the graphs (should be able to read them even if they are messed around with or changed a bit)

Surface Chemistry : gold number sums, coagulation power and value orders in sols, recognising positive and negative sols, purification methods, electrophoresis definition (you'd be surprised how many times this came), helm holtz double layer theory, tindal's effect (connects a bit to optics, but vaguely), micelles (connects to bot biomolecules and cell unit). This chapter is very theoretical so keep revising stuff you don't get at first glance

Now briefly about Inorganic and Organic Chemistry:

Inorganic : write all the orders and the logics behind it. Some trends are weird so remember them with some trick (keep the tricks to the minimum in inorganic btw, it messes with your brain otherwise). That's as far as I've gotten with inorganic myself, but we can still work on it. If you have any advice regarding this, please do share.

Organic : understand the mechanism behind any reactions. Not just the way it's given in the textbook, but try to connect all organic chapters to each other. Practice a lot of questions, the direct ones as well as the weird ones. Organic does not have any tricks, it just requires practice and that can be done if we understand how each reaction goes about and why we do it.
