anybody ever thinks about doctor!hendery? because that’s the first thing that popped into my mind the second I saw him
Tumblr media
T/W: mentions of blood, and I'm sorry I keep bringing up tetanus I don't mean to mock it or anything
it wasn’t a big deal, but the constant ringing in your head was getting harder to differentiate between a migraine and your incessant worries building up
days ago you were fixing up a shelf from ikea, your roommate having suggested you guys get a proper apparatus to house your various clutters
both of you went at it for the whole night, after coming home from a long day’s worth of work and neither of you denied the tiny spark of regret for getting something you can’t really handle at 1am in the morning
at last, the cheap metal frame is up, a job well done rewarded by crashing into the couch and dozing off right there
morning came and the shelf was thoroughly forgotten, even with its huge size propped right in front you
the effect of the iconic, “I’m late for work”
throwing yourself off the couch you ignored your hard work and skidded past absentmindedly, until it reminded you with a nasty gash in the shower
if your pinky toe was stinging in the water, it felt way worse when soap ran down your body
you had to stop and check, clenching your teeth at the act of rinsing off the soap to get a good look, and voila
a fresh cut just below your cuticle, long and crimson till it reaches the joint
you definitely don’t have time for this
so you slap on some antibacterial cream, stick on a band-aid and call it class one first aid with 5 minutes till work starts
the day was: bad
not only you had to run, your shoes covered your wounded toe and you honestly doubt it does more to protect rather than harm it
your boss was obviously not impressed, and you’re stuck with a self appointed adult detention with a foul, cold sandwich titled gruesome lunch; at the set venue of your cubicle
having been reminded by the constant ache on your toe, you made it a point to text your roommate, informing them you two had built a death machine
they, however, took the joke a little too literally, and from the moment after lunch, they kept texting you to get it checked out
“what if it’s tetanus?”
“you could die from an infection!”
“are you sure the cream isn’t expired?”
“did you apply it properly”
“get it checked out you might be at risk”
and that’s why you’re here man no pun intended
where once again, things weren’t this serious, and were blew out of proportion
your self appointed detention unfortunately lasted for days, long as your boss was happy, and your punishment was a huge project with a short deadline
you pulled overtime for a straight 3 days now, and the projects almost there, just one day left
the all-nighter you suffered through proved efficient when you finished the project at near 5am in the morning, rumours of company ghosts no longer scare you when you roam amongst them as a comrad
your zombified limbs pack up by themselves, brain too damaged from the cups of coffee chugged down your throat at the ungodly hours
your roommate’s nagging makes its appearance again, buzzing through your brain like a broken record
“you could have tetanus, it’s metal!”
you remember there’s a hospital on the route back home, so why not? staying up longer it doesn’t quite matter at this point
the reception desk threw a fit when they heard you connect the words ‘tetanus’ and ‘a few days ago’
that’s how you end up in line at the ER, instead of the intended clinic visit
it’s eerily chilly, with the bland white walls staring back at you
without you knowing it; the whirring of the busy machines and clinking of metal appliances lulls your tired figure to sleep, head leaning back and mouth open in a silent snore
“oh my goodness they blacked out”
“we need help here!”
within seconds your body was hauled onto a stretcher and pulled away in a whim, straight into a private room with an unsuspecting doctor
“came in saying they might have tetanus and the wound’s a few days old. ER’s full from a car crash and they just blacked out in the hall,”
“temperature’s rising, I think the fever started to set in, if you could take a look first dr.wong-”
“sure, sure”
‘dr.wong’ rounds the edge of his table to plant himself beside you, and you think the only regret you don’t have for the night is seeing his handsome face
he reads the thermometer before plucking the pen lodged at the opening of his white coat,
“okay, I need you to focus on this pen, follow it with your eyes, alright?”
of course he doesn’t wait for your agreement before waving the pen in front of you, and your slow brain can’t receive stimuli that well while it’s raving on caffeine
“I’m getting slow response, fetch the vaccine now,”
one of the nurses hurriedly leaves the room, leaving one to stay and help the doctor,
he picks up the stethoscope from his desk and plugs the two ends into his ears, “alright, I need you to breathe for me,”
“and check the wound, please”
the nurse nods and springs into action, and your brain-- finally-- comes back to life
your grab the hand that’s holding the metal plate with both of yours, surprising him and making him go wide-eyed
but what do you say???
it could be tetanus but you don’t feel unwell at all, and you really, really don’t want a pissed off nurse to glare at you for the false alarm
also, you don’t want anyone to look at your ugly toes
“are you okay? does it hurt?”
the nurse stops taking off your shoe at the mention of pain, and waits for further instructions from the doctor
you bite down the embarrassment for your lame excuse, and gesture roughly to your throat, “....water”
they both share a concerned look, before the nurse moves and heads towards the door with a “I’ll be right back doctor”
now that you’re left with him alone, you feel less anxious about the whole situation, and sit up properly to talk to him
“I don’t have tetanus,”
you can see him processing your words before he lets out a hearty chuckle, “having tetanus isn’t illegal or contagious, we won’t throw you in quarantine,”
“no, no, I told them I don’t think it’s tetanus, it’s merely a cut from metal-- yes, but it’s not infected or anything, I just came here for a confirmation,”
he pauses to mull over your words, before taking off your shoe and tugging at your socks,
“I’m fine, really, I think this was a mistake-”
your socks successfully comes off, and he’s tentatively ripping your band-aid off, trying not to provoke the wound any further
when the wrapping comes off, he’s not too impressed by his present, which you think he fully expects a nasty, nasty wound, with yellow mucus oozing out from the opening and rotten flesh scent-- instead of a clean, clear, thread sized cut
“and I didn’t black out, I’m just very tired and the coffee’s not helping,”
he looks up from your foot and seems so confused, so you do him a favour to explain at the best your brain allows you to
by the time the nurse is back, you two had ran through a quick summary of your activities for the past few days, and her cup of water is the perfect solution to a real, dry throat
“patient does not have tetanus, a false alarm, but they’re still gonna require a shot, just in case,”
he gestures to your foot and she looks fairly annoyed, but says nothing at the presence of a doctor
she excuses herself to help out outside, and dr.wong sits back at his desk to wait for the vaccine, while you lay your head down to rest
“I think she hates me,”
he laughs, “nah, we just haven’t had a tetanus case in a while, I think she got too worked up,”
the other nurse comes back with your vaccine, and helps clean up your arm for the injection, “you’re not scared of needles, are you?”
you can taste the amusement in the air, tension lifted and light in the air thanks to his teasing, “patient does not have an infection, but is taking a shot for proper measures, and the high body temp is caused from lack of sleep for days, and a slightly inflamed liver, does not require further care, but a follow up is needed in a month’s time,”
the nurse scribbles your prescription while he stabs your arm with the long needle, and you try your best not to panic
after the nurse leaves the room, you two are left alone once again, and the ambiguous question hangs in the air, “am I allowed to leave now?”
he peers up from his book, “yes, but it’s 5:37am now, and my shift ends at 6; if you could stay a bit longer,” he trails off,
he senses your confusion and hurriedly explains himself, “I’m trying to avoid having breakfast with someone, and I’m no longer needed for emergency cases, it would be nice to have some peace and quiet,”
“you could take a nap-- I’ll wake you at 6,”
“can you put in a good word for me with the nurses?”
“deal.”
“can we eat breakfast too?” words kind of jumbled up from your fatigue
he takes a bit longer to respond, and by the time he does, you don’t hear it-- having already fallen asleep on the white stretcher,
“sure, that’ll be nice.”

Flufftober 2021, Day 4 - Fireworks
You can track my progress here on my Flufftober list, and you can find the official flufftober tumblr here! Now let’s get to some fireworks!
Ship: Bucky Barnes x Reader Rating: SFW Wordcount: 796 Warnings: None, save Bucky and some fireworks
Tumblr media
“Bucky,” you said warily as he finished winding the fuses of the fireworks together. “Bucky, that’s a lot of fireworks to go off all at the same time.”
“Don’t worry, doll. We used to fuse this stuff together all the time.” He waved a hand, double-checking the rows of fireworks one by one. “Besides, if my girl wants a light show, she gets a fuckin’ light show.”
And sure, alright, you had briefly spoken wistfully of the romantic nature of fireworks to Wanda. Bucky had gotten a strange light—no pun intended—in his eye when he’d overheard, before announcing to you that no girl of his would be without fireworks on your anniversary. That was probably when the alarms in your head, the ones that went off when you caught the scent of Bucky-related chaos, should have started ringing. That ominous feeling had only grown when he’d appeared with a massive wooden crate, one absolutely covered in warning labels written in six different languages. You weren’t sure where exactly he’d gotten the box, and you hadn’t asked. All you knew was, Sam had pointedly put Redwing on Fire Detection Duty for the evening.
Bucky waved you back a few more paces before he lit the fuse and then jogged over to you. He swung an arm down and hauled you up over his shoulder with nothing but ease and you couldn’t quite swallow back your laughter. He sauntered confidently across the grass, humming to himself before he reached some random point he apparently deemed a safe distance. Then he set you down and spun you around to watch.
You caught Sam’s eye where he stood inside the compound at a window, rolling your eyes when he mimed an explosion.
You and Bucky waited as the fuse gradually crept closer to the fireworks. Soon one spark became two, and then three, then five, multiplying faster and faster as the tied fuses split apart.
“Any second now,” Bucky whispered.
There was a quiet hiss, the fuses disappearing. You tilted your head curiously, narrowing your eyes at the rigging Bucky had set up. “Bucky, how high do these go?”
“Well.” He scratched his chin. “Had to make a few modifications. Technically aerial stuff’s illegal so I kept ‘em low. Figured we’d be fine as long as we were far enough back.”
“How low is ‘low?'”
There was a loud crack as the fireworks began to go off, spiraling up into the air with loud, whistling shrieks. True to Bucky’s word, they didn’t go very high.
Not very high at all.
A massive explosion of vibrant red and pink light filled your vision, fireworks erupting in thunderous waves. The noise was so loud the windows of the compound rattled, and somewhere, a car alarm began to blare. But you, you were just mystified, your eyes wide and mouth open in delight even as you clapped your hands over your ears.
And it just kept coming, the mortar racks firing off rocket after rocket — rich bursts of red and pink, blue and green, yellow and orange, blooming in shimmering arcs like the opening of flowers made of stardust. The shape of those blossoms were so close you almost felt like you could reach out and touch them, so close you could feel the heat of it washing across your skin.
Wait…
“Bucky, it’s getting closer.”
“Yeah, we should, uh, back up a little.” He dragged you back a few steps, and then a few more, nudging you further and further as the sparks and smoke began to drift towards you. Sam howled silently inside the compound window, hands on his knees as he wheezed.  “Coulda sworn the new stuff would be shittier than ours.”
“Why would you assume that?” you laughed before coughing. You ran a little faster, hoping to outrun the fragrant, thick smoke that had begun to waft towards you.
“You have any idea the kinda ingredients we were allowed to use back then? You think we didn’t include fireworks?”
“Point taken.”
“Wait, wait!” He jerked you to a halt. You were still a little breathless, the flare of the fireworks still way too close as Bucky spun you around to look back. “Just watch, this is the best part. Got this one special.”
There was another shriek as three rockets spiraled up, and shortly after burst into three red and pink hearts, perfectly shaped and angled so that all three were on display at once.
“Oh,” you breathed, as Bucky grinned and lifted your hand to kiss your knuckles.
“Happy anniversary, Doll. Now we should go, cause I think one’a Stark’s bushes are on fire.”
He turned and you leapt up onto his back before he took off. You planted a kiss to his temple, still laughing. “Happy anniversary, Bucky.”

picture perfect — yandere kuroo tetsuro x f. reader
Tumblr media
warnings: toxic relationship, abuse, spitting/saliva, noncon, breeding kink, light asphyxiation
You were sick and tired of your boyfriend's relationship with your family members. Your siblings thought he was admirable for being Nekoma's captain, and your parents not only admired his position, but trusted him in full as well.
He was just this nerdy volleyball captain and respected your parents more than any of your previous exes. He was just such a nice guy, why would you want to leave him?
"(y/n), you've gotta be pulling my leg. He's a keeper! Why would you wanna break up with him?" You had pulled your mother aside to talk to her in private, not wanting to attract any of your siblings' attention, but she didn't seem to pay any mind to her volume.
If only she knew how fucking psychotic your boyfriend was. He kept tabs on your phone, monitored who you hung out with and when you went out, and gave out unethical punishments whenever you upset him. Which was quite frequently.
But you didn't wanna tarnish your boyfriend's image like that. Sure, he was absolutely horrible to you, but a part of you didn't want to expose him like that. Maybe it was a form of Stockholm Syndrome. Maybe it was fear of not being believed.
Nonetheless, you always kept things vague in order to protect your prince charming's reputation. "It's just.. things are rough between us. It's not as nice as it seems behind closed doors." And it was true. Your words may have been vague, but they were completely correct.
Unfortunately, they were too vague for your mother to comprehend and she just shrugged them off, like always. "Honey, that's how relationships work. You're gonna have your fights and it's gonna be ugly— you're young! You're both just seniors in high school, so of course it's not gonna be perfect." She sent you a warm smile, placing a hand onto your shoulder.
"Just talk things out with him, okay? Try not to make haste decisions just yet." Removing her hand from your shoulder, your mother walked away from the scene with a soft laugh.
If only you had noticed the pair of eyes peeking behind the corner the whole time. The eyes that belonged to your nosy, loudmouthed brother.
It had been a few days since you had the talk with your mother. Since then, you had attempted to rekindle things with Kuroo. Of course trying to be nice to him didn't fix a damn thing. If anything, it just gave him the OK to be an even shittier boyfriend. His possessiveness had only gotten worse.
You were currently sat next to him on his couch, watching some cheesy romance movie. “Oi, babe, c’mere.” He called you over with his arms stretched out. If he wasn’t such a manipulative bastard, you’d find the sight in itself cute. He was like a kid making grabby hands.
To which you obliged with ease, sliding into his arms to lean your head against his torso with your legs tangling with his. His hand made its way over to your head as he tangled his fingers through your hair, humming quietly at your compliance. It was nice; it felt like the two of you were just a normal, happy couple.
However, every good moment had to come to an end. “So.. your little brother was real eager to talk to me the other day.” Uh oh. The words that fell from his mouth were seemingly innocent, but his tone was what scared you. It was a tone you knew all too well. You were in deep shit.
Tilting your head upwards to peek at him from your spot on his torso, your eyes made contact, only to realize that he had been looking down at you the whole time. “Yeah, he sounded worried. Told me about a little chat you had with ma.” His gaze had darkened within seconds as he spoke. You were really starting to regret accepting his offer to cuddle.
“Babe, he’s a kid. You can’t trust everything he sa—“ Slap. Placing a hand on your stinging cheek, you looked up at the narrowed eyes of your boyfriend. He had slapped you right across the face. How he had managed to put so much power into a slap with the position you two had been in was a mystery to you.
That wasn’t important. What was important was his hand roughly gripping your chin, nails digging into your soft skin. “Do you think that I’m that fucking stupid? Are you really trying to ruin a picture perfect family? Our picture perfect family? (y/n), I can’t have you telling everyone that I’m ‘bad.’ It’s about time that I put you in your place.”
And with that, his hand that had previously gripped your jaw was now forcefully prying it open. Furrowing your eyebrows, you looked up at your boyfriend with tears brimming your eyes. Before you could even start to retaliate, a sticky string of saliva gradually fell down from his mouth. God, he was spitting in your mouth and you couldn’t do anything about it. His hand was too damn strong.
“If you wanna properly own up to your actions, go on and swallow it.” It was absolutely sickening how he believed he was teaching you some sort of lesson. You wanted to call him disgusting and hit him in the face, but you were driven by fear, thus leading to your regretful actions.
Your pride wasn’t the only thing you swallowed, as the sticky substance of Kuroo’s saliva cascaded down your throat. Giving your face a few light slaps, he sent you his cheshire grin. “Good girl.” Without another word, he slipped up from under you.
For a second, you actually believed that he was laying off, and deciding that maybe spitting in your mouth was enough of a punishment. But no, as soon as you even thought about getting off of the couch, he forcefully flipped your body over and shoved your face into the couch cushion.
“Did ya really think I was done with you? Let me show you how much of a good boyfriend I am.” His fingers wrapped around the waistband of your shorts and panties, wasting no time in shoving them down to your ankles. “T-Tetsu! Wait!” Your cries and pleads went unheard as he pulled his flaccid cock from his boxers. Bringing your hips up to his, he began rubbing the length of his cock up against your folds.
Not only was the feeling of his gradually hardening cock rubbing against your folds turning you on, but it was making him moan like a pornstar. He paid absolutely no mind to his volume; you felt kinda bad for his neighbors.
The friction in itself was enough to create a pool between your legs. “Fuck, baby, I’m gonna put it in.” Of course he didn’t even consider putting on a condom. It almost felt as if he wanted to knock you up. If he did that, you really wouldn’t be able to leave him, right?
With both of his hands on your ass and his thumbs on your folds, spreading them open from behind, he pushed the head of his cock inside of you. “Tets—Tetsu, it’s not gonna fit..!” Your head was shoved up against the couch cushion by his right hand, whilst his left was holding onto your waist, giving him something to grip as he sheathed himself inside of you. His cock had so much girth; it practically felt like he was tearing you apart.
Kuroo tilted his head back with a loud, dragged out moan, as his eyes rolled to the back of his head. No matter how many times he fucked you, he always felt a sense of euphoria at the feeling of your tight hole clenching around his cock. Hell, his moans were probably louder than your own.
Once he calmed down from his high, he began thrusting into you at a furious pace. You were lucky you even got a chance to adjust to his size, because he sure as hell wasn’t going to start out at a gradual pace. Gripping onto the edge of the cushion, your jaw dropped as a moan erupted from your throat. God, your moans sounded like music to Kuroo’s ears. He could feel his cock twitch inside of you at the sound.
It really sucked having such an athletic lover, because his stamina and speed was just too much for you to handle. His pace was borderline animalistic as he pounded into you. The grip he had on your hips was absolutely bruising, and his nails dug into your scalp as he pushed your head further into the couch.
“Maybe I should cum inside..! Heh, you’d be real hot with big, swelling tits.” His hand pushed you further down, gradually making it more difficult to breath as he reared his hips back. Slamming back into you, he grabbed a fistful of your hair and dragged you up, pulling your back against his chest. This position was beyond uncomfortable for you. He kept one hand on your side, but the hand that was previously digging into your scalp was now wrapped around your throat, all of this happening from behind.
It amazed you how much lower body strength this man had as he continued thrusting into you at a speedy pace. You were beginning to reach your limit, and he was as well. This became obvious to you as soon as you felt his cock begin to twitch inside of you. “Even if your parents.. ugh.. fucking hate me..” He trailed off, moving his head towards your ear as he licked the shell of it. A low growl emitted from his throat as he removed his hand from your side, soon placing it onto your stomach as it slowly trailed down to your sensitive parts.
“..Once I knock you up, they’ll have no choice but to see me as a part of their family.” His fingers began mercilessly rubbing at your nub, urging you to hurry up and release. His words were fucking horrifying, but the way his cock hit your cervix and his fingers rubbed at your clit, you couldn’t even comprehend what he was telling you. Suddenly, your body tensed, as you reached your climax and lubricated Kuroo’s cock with your cum. With the clench of your hole, Kuroo followed shortly after you, pumping his thick, sticky semen inside of you.
Loud panting and heavy breaths sounded throughout the room as Kuroo reluctantly slid his cock out from your hole, watching your combined fluids begin to drip down from your hole to your leg. Once Kuroo released his grip on you, you collapsed onto his couch. You couldn’t care less about the cum covering your lower half and probably staining his furniture. You were exhausted.
The sight of you panting heavily with cum splattered all over your lower half was enough to make Kuroo’s cock begin to twitch again. Towering over your collapsed body, Kuroo placed his head into the crook of your neck and smirked.
“Now, who said that we were done here?”

Land of Falling Sun 4
It wasn’t dust after all.
The smoke formed a thick haze that rendered the travelers blind to the horizon ahead. Flakes of ash hung in the air, carrying a thick and foul odor of fire and decay. Somewhere in this flat, lifeless wasteland, something was burning in a great and terrible mass. Chipper had a sharper nose, and guessed it was likely a brush fire, and a big one. The wanderer briefly and privately entertained the notion that if there was enough plant matter to burn out here, then there was likely a great deal of life which he simply hadn’t given thought to.
He didn’t give Chipper much thought for most of the way; they were talented at spotting desert critters to refill their rations, and their magical talent was invaluable to their water supply. In this moment though, he had never been more grateful than to have his winged companion beside him, clearing the smoke with every beat of their wings. Dog was being pleasantly quiet as well, but still hadn’t taken to speaking only when addressed.
It was midnight now. The full moon shone bright in the sky which enveloped the landscape in brilliant shades of red and orange. It was hard to see through the smoke, as was the setting sun itself. In fact, around this time the travelers noticed how hard it was to see anything at all. It was dark, almost uncharacteristically so. The smoke was thick indeed, but not enough to blot out the moon or suns. A great shadow hung over the travelers, but they hadn’t the faintest idea what cast it.
The wanderer turned his gaze up slightly, up and towards the distance. “Hey lil’ fella,” he asked, “How big does the fauna get out here?”
“Hmmm...well the sand rats can get pretty big.” They gestured their talons to suggest the size of the largest sand rat they’d seen. “But I’ve never seen anything I’d call...colossal, if that’s what you mean.”
“It is.” The wanderer eased up a bit. “I’ve seen big, nasty things in other country. Would hate to run into some of them out here.” Chipper looked to their companion with trepidation, disturbed by the image of whatever beast he could be describing.
“Might be a cloud? Really big mountain?” They spread their wings and deepened their voice. “Really big bird?” They chuckled and resumed flying, clearly amused with themself. The wanderer hid his smirk. Then a thought occurred to him.
“Wait,” he asked, “You’re not actually from this country are you?” He shot Chipper an inquisitive glance, who returned it with a bashful, withdrawn look of their own. The wanderer grew concerned. “How’d you wind up out here?”
“I got chased,” they said. They looked straight ahead. “Can we focus?”
The wanderer shrugged and looked on as well. No need to pry.
The pair traveled in silence for a while longer. Dog remained silent, its nose keen and attentive for any signs of life it might pick up through the haze. The shadow that spread over the desert completely enveloped their surroundings, shading them from the heat of the sun. Soon, the smoke gradually cleared up ahead. Past the layer of fog, the pair could see a wall of solid rock, rising far above the desert floor. They looked up, and couldn’t see an end, but it appeared to be a sheer cliff face.
Up ahead, there was a trail.
----
The trail was narrow, barely enough to fit Dog’s six hooves. Chipper would perch on Dog’s hind to rest their wings, which they wrapped around the wanderer’s stomach for safety. Dog’s hoof would sometimes trip along the trail’s edge, dislodging small rocks and sending them plummeting to the ground.
Chipper and the wanderer came to a turnaround, putting the cliff face to their left. The trail was slightly steeper now. The wanderer ducked to avoid a branch that protruded from the cliff, and leaned forward to avoid its swipe as he passed. A few paces later, he looked back curiously. Chipper looked up at him much the same. “You alright?”
“Funny,” he said. “They’re showin’ up more often now.” He kept his gaze behind him, furrowing his brow, as though attempting to decipher some mystery he desperately lacked the information needed to understand.
“Yeah, so?” Chipper asked.
“I dunno. Just more plants than I’ve gotten used to.”
“Think there’s more at the uh...top?” They seemed to question whether there even was a top. By now they were so high that the smoke had thinned significantly, and the stench had mostly passed.
“By my guess, and by our luck,” the wanderer answered, “There will either be a bounty of plants and fertile ground and paradise and whatnot--the likes of which we’ve never seen--or an even shittier desert.” He spurred Dog on a little faster, who then picked up its pace slightly. “Either way, we’ll be there, and everything behind us’ll be long gone. That’s gotta do.”
“It will do, until the desert itself becomes yet another regret.”
“Can it, Dog.”
“When do I get to talk to him?”
“It. And you don’t.”
“Give them time, sir. Give them time.”
The wanderer groaned, and then coughed after groaning a little too hard.
----
The next day, as the traveling sun rose from the northern horizon, the travelers spent time resting in a small cavity in the cliff face, wide enough for all three to sit comfortably. The wanderer rested his back against Dog’s body, and Chipper lay flat on the ground, stretching out their back. As they stretched their wings and cracked their sore back, the wanderer pulled out some clippers and a mirror, and began trimming his beard.
Dog had picked up the scent of a cliff hound the day before. Following the trail brought them to the source: this cave. Dealing with cliff hounds was straightforward, as long as you could track them to their dens and corner them properly. Chipper and Dog approached the cave entrance quietly, then blocked it while the wanderer went in with his knife. He knew to close the distance quickly, stop short of its tail stinger, then dodge right, since cliff hounds are dominant to their right legs and will attack with them first. After dodging towards the attack, it’s best to attack below the jaw, as the skin is easy to penetrate, and a proper stab will go directly into the brain.
The wanderer skinned the feathery creature, then cooked the meat over a fire circle. This relieved him significantly; his arm was beginning to ache severely, and if he didn’t perform any Work soon, the pain would be debilitating. Chipper continued to hold off questions about the state of the wanderer’s arm, or the rest of his skin he neglected to reveal. Yes, it tortured Chipper’s curious mind not to investigate, but they wished to respect their mutual privacy. The soot--or tar as it looked in the circle--was connected to his talent, and that was sufficient.
Their food, water, and shelter accounted for, the travelers enjoyed the first true respite of their journey. The smoke was still rising up the cliff in light wisps, but the smell had passed. The wanderer heard a breeze, but felt nothing when he stepped outside of the cave. “The sound of wind across the desert plain,” said Dog, “But above us. I know the sound well. We are climbing a great plateau, and will soon be at the top.”
The wanderer looked back to Dog, saying nothing, but nodding once. Dog still upset him in a way he couldn’t quite describe, but he understood and respected the beast’s intelligence.
Chipper was feeling good enough to fly again, and sat down to untangle their hair. The wanderer kneeled behind them and brushed their hair in his hands.
----
That night, as the traveling sun set, the setting sun gingerly hung low in the sky, and the moon shone bright, the travelers approached the apex of their climb. Their spirits were rejuvenated, pleased to be out of the valley; yet, they were anxious and on guard, undetermined whether this would be the end of their journey or its beginning.
The trail curved inwards, towards the top of the plateau and easing significantly. There was room for the wanderer to spur Dog to a gallop, and it happily picked up speed, kicking a cloud of dust in its wake. Chipper flapped their wings and tucked in their legs, flying at full speed alongside their mounted friend. Their hearts raced.
They came to the top of the plateau. It was vast, dry, painted in a vivid red and orange soil. The landscape stood dotted with cacti and desert trees, and in the distance they could hear the sounds of birds. The travelers could finally see the setting sun again, and felt the kiss of its warm rays from all the way across this new world. It was another desert, but full of life--and unlike the valley below, it was life they could see.
Up ahead, close on the horizon, Chipper saw what looked like buildings. Rising up among them was a tower of smoke.

Chapter 1: Get the Gang Together
Tumblr media
Summary: With the Fab Four found dead, Molly Hernandez was furious. Secrets of the Runaways’ parents are discovered at the monthly Pride meeting.
Word count: 3,279
Author’s note: I decided to write something different for a change! I’ve actually been meaning to release the first chapter of this fic since December 2019. Runaways have a special place in my heart as well as the universe of Danger Days and the Killjoys. That’s why I’ve decided to write them in one universe to honor them both. I tried to do some justice writing this chapter by adding the seedlings to Deanoru and Gertchase. Hopefully, it’s not too bad. By the way, I recommend listening to Get the Gang Together by Gerard Way as you’re reading this chapter. The chapter title was named after that song. :)
Breaking news! This just in. We just got a report that the infamous group of killjoys known as Party Poison, Fun Ghoul, Kobra Kid, and Jet Star are dead. They have finally been caught in a tragic accident that cost them their lives.
These were the words that came from the tv Molly Hernandez was watching from in the Yorkes’ living room. She was stunned at the news report. Her heroes were found dead. Molly couldn’t believe what she was seeing. It could be false, right? Sometimes you can't always trust the news. But Molly was proven wrong when the footage was shown of the four beloved heroes she looked up to were on the ground dead. She had enough when the news channel decided to give a closer look at the bodies. Molly tore her eyes away from the tv and closed her eyes. She wished those images displayed on the tv out of her mind. It was until her sister, Gert, that interrupted her from her breakdown.
“Molly?” Gert walked in the living room in search of the 16-year-old. When Gert saw what was displayed on the television screen, she frantically reached for the remote to turn it off.
The purple-haired girl kneeled by Molly’s side and asked her sister in a worried tone, “why were you watching that? You know you shouldn’t be watching stuff like that on tv, Mols.”
Molly didn’t realize tears had spilled from her eyes when she opened them to look at Gert. “T-they’re dead, Gert. The Fab Four a-are dead.”
It had dawned on to Gert the graphic images they were broadcasting on the television screen were the cause of Molly’s breakdown. “Oh, I’m sorry, Mols.” Gert moved to hug her sister.
“Who could have done such a thing? I thought they were invincible?” Molly sniffled.
“Mols, no one is invincible. Everyone has a weakness.” Gert pushed a strand of Molly’s hair behind her ear.
“The Killjoys had a weakness? Well, how come they survived in the zones for such a long time?” Molly didn’t fully believe in what Gert had to say.
“Look, I think we should continue this conversation later,” Gert said, changing the subject. “We need to go with mom and dad to the monthly Pride meeting later.”
“Wait, what?! Why are we going with them this time?” Molly whined. She started to sulk on the couch.
“I don’t know, but it must be important,” Gert got up to start packing her backpack. “You don’t want any Dracs to come here looking for you, right?”
“Why would they come over here when we’re not the enemy?” Molly questioned.
“Mols,” Gert said in a warned tone. “Just get ready. Please.”
Molly sighed exasperatedly and marched to her bedroom to get ready. “Fine!”
“Don’t forget to take your meds! It’ll calm you down!” Gert yelled. Molly closed her bedroom door in reply.
Molly clenched her fists and screamed into her pillow. She knew the Fab Four didn’t die in vain. Molly refused to think that way. There had to be someone that was behind it. And she will figure it out for herself. If she doesn't, she won’t ever forgive herself for not doing so. Thinking back to the last thing Gert told her, Molly looked at the pills that were placed on her vanity.
“Screw it. I’m done with this.” She said out loud. Grabbing the pill container, she threw it in the trash in disgust. Molly didn’t spare a second glance at her trash bin while getting ready for the meeting.
---------
Molly and Gert were sitting in one of the lounges in the Wilder house. They were waiting for the other teens to come by. Gert had to agree with how the monthly Pride meeting was boring. Like the kind that bored you to death.
“So you do agree with me?!” Molly exclaimed. “Why couldn’t you tell Stacey we should’ve passed the meeting?”
“They’re our parents, Mols. We need to listen to them.”
“They’re your parents, Gert. Not mine.” Molly retorted with a scowl.
“Look, I know you’re still torn from this morning’s news,” Gert said with a sigh. “But just for tonight, try to be on your best behavior. If you’re comfortable, you can talk more about this morning if you like.”
“I’m good. You wouldn’t understand anyway.” Molly twisted her body, facing away from the purple haired girl. Gert can’t help but feel bad.
She hated to admit it, but she knew very little about the Killjoys. Gert only knew of the things that were broadcasted on the holos and television. She tried her best to sympathize with Molly, but it felt kind of strange to do so. These Killjoys were strangers to her. Could she be able to trust them at all? And at the same time, there were other things that were more important to care about.  Like what college she was going to attend. There were very few varieties in Battery City. But before she could go over the pros and cons of each college, she heard loud chatter coming from the lobby.
Gert decided to get up and make her way to the lobby of the Wilders’ home. When she stopped at the balcony, she saw none other than Chase Stein with his parents. Chase was all smiles and hugged Alex’s parents. Seeing Chase in the flesh reminded of the many years she had been pining over the jock.
She was tempted to go greet him, but Karolina and her mom appeared. Chase’s smile that he had on became extremely big when he saw the blonde.
“Hi, Mr. and Mrs. Wilder! I made some appetizers for the adults to enjoy!” Karolina made a little gesture towards the container in her hands.
Alex’s parents were impressed by Karolina’s effort.
Honestly, Gert didn’t like girls who were like Karolina. They were WAY too perfect for her liking. Gert knew no one was perfect, but Chase has somehow fit into that definition of it. And guys like Chase were drawn to girls like Karolina. And not Gert. He never spared a glance at her when they were kids compared to Karolina. The purple haired girl walked back to the lounge, feeling her mood shift to be much shittier than before.
“Gert!” Karolina called out behind her. “It’s so nice to finally see you here after all this time! Come here!”
As soon as she turned to face Karolina, Gert was greeted with the blonde gently wrapping her arms around the purple haired girl. Gert was weirded out by the sudden hug. Why would Karolina be so glad to see her? They were polar opposites of each other.
Gert slowly retracted from the hug and mustered up a smile. “Uh yeah! It’s nice to see you too.”
“I love your hair by the way! Purple suits you well.” Gert wondered if Karolina was just saying that just to be nice or if she was genuine.
“Thanks...You’ve gotten taller.” Gert awkwardly pointed out. She wasn’t the best at small talk.
“Yeah! All thanks to my parents.” Karolina jokily made a little jazz hand gesture. “Who’s at the lounge by the way? Is Nico here?”
“No. It’s just me and Molly.” Gert decided to walk back to the lounge.
“Oh, nice. I can’t wait to catch up with Molly after all these months.” Karolina said while following the purple haired girl.
When both girls made it to the lounge, Karolina quickly hugged Molly. Gert noticed Molly’s mood went up a bit, which was good. Hopefully, her sister won’t act too grumpy for the rest of the night. Time passed by and the other teens gradually appeared in the lounge. Alex had been the one to appear last.
“Sorry I was late. I picked up some pizza for the six of us.” Alex greeted the other teens. “I’m glad you guys came.”
“Why are we here exactly, Wilder?” Chase queried with his arms crossed. “You must have your intentions.”
“I thought it was a great idea for us to hang together again, you know?” Alex replied. “Now, do you guys want to eat?”
“We came over for this? If you said you wanted to hang Alex, you could’ve texted all of us.” Molly said. “Besides, today isn’t a good day to hang.”
“Molly, just stay put. You never know, this could cheer you up and take your mind off of things.” Gert remarked.
“Wait, hold on. What does she mean?” Alex pointed out Molly’s discomfort, slightly curious.
“Don’t you dare say anything, Gert!” Molly demanded.
Gert ignored her sister’s request. She almost debated whether she shouldn’t tell, but decided to spill anyway. “She’s heartbroken about those four Killjoys dying.”
“You mean those four that showed up on the news this morning?” Alex questioned.
Gert nodded in response. Although she hated when Molly was in a bad mood, she didn’t feel it was necessary for Molly to keep sulking around.
“I hate to say this Molly, but they were outlaws and criminals,” Alex stated.
“Excuse me?” Molly stood up from her seat, obviously offended. “What they’ve been doing was brave. They were fighting for a good cause!”
“You do know our parents are the ones that work for BL/ind. Going against BL/ind means going against our parents.”
“Well, my parents aren’t my real parents so…” Molly crossed her arms and glared at Alex.
“Guys, can we please stop arguing? Look, Molly’s mourning and she sounds like she’s having a rough day. Give it a rest, Alex.” Karolina said as she coaxed Molly to sit back on the couch. Molly obliged and Karolina sat next to her.
“I’m just being realistic.” Alex adjusted his glasses. The pizza was still untouched at this point.
“Well, you don’t have to remind us. Let Molly be.” Karolina was rubbing soothing circles on Molly’s back.
“I honestly agree with Molly. You could have just texted us if you wanted to hang out rather than use our parents’ monthly meeting to your advantage.” Chase said.
“Would you guys have replied or even cared to look at my text? We haven’t been together since-”
“Don’t,” Nico warned. “Don’t say it.” For a moment, the whole room became silent. That was the first thing Nico has said the entire time the teens got together for the night.
“I thought you weren’t listening to us,” Alex said with a hint of surprise.
Nico smiled meekly. “Oh, I’ve been listening. It’s just that I don’t want to be here as well.”
“Oh, uh okay.” Alex shifted his foot awkwardly. “How about we do something fun like Twister to lift your spirits up?”
“What are we? 12?” Chase replied. “We’re not kids anymore.”
“Well okay. If you don’t want to do that, then let me show you something else.” Alex abandoned the pizza and walked over to a table near the wall. “Maybe this is something that might be on your level of fun.”
The rest of the teens looked at each other confused at what was to come next. Alex turned a stack of coasters that were on the table. The shelves nearby the door parted, revealing a doorway.
“You guys can go on without me. I’ll just stay here and wait until you come back.” Molly was heading to take a seat on the couch again until Gert stopped her.
“No, Mols. You’re coming with us.” Gert held her hand. “I don’t want to leave you here alone.”
Molly sighed and let Gert lead her further in the secret passageway. The teens walked inside with Alex leading the group. They were close to each other in case something happened. There was a room at the end of the passageway. Once the teens reached the end, they looked around the room.
“What is all this?” Nico stared at the room in bewilderment.
“I’m not entirely sure. I discovered the secret passageway earlier today, but didn’t see what was inside.” Alex wondered out loud. A bunch of spread out papers near him caught his eye. “And what are these?”
The teens gathered around the table Alex was standing near. There were a bunch of documents littered all over the table. The documents contained photos of people that looked like their age. What was unsettling was that their photos had been crossed off. All of the photos that were crossed off were listed as exterminated in bold.
Gert took one of the documents and scanned it. “This is currently striking high on the disturbing meter,” Gert commented worriedly. “Does exterminated mean killed?”
“Sounds like it,” Nico said before noticing something off. “My mom’s purse is in here. Where could she be?”
“If these documents are here, then I don’t think our parents have been doing any good for the city.” Chase looked at the others. “I wouldn’t be surprised if my dad was a cold-blooded killer.”
The teens heard footsteps echoing below them. All of their eyes widened. They scrambled to look for hiding spots. Luckily, they found a secret room that has a window overlooking the bigger room outside.
“Bring the girl in. We don’t have all day to do this.” Tina grumbled.
Leslie entered the vast space with a teenage girl beside her.
“Wait a minute. I know that girl.” Karolina said.
“You know her?” Alex turned to the blonde.
“Yeah, she’s a part of the church. What’s she doing here?”
“Leslie, where am I? Who are these people?” The girl looked at the teens’ parents frantically. “I don’t recognize them from the church.”
“It’s okay, Destiny. They’re helping me with the initiation.” Leslie assured. She gave a bottle to Destiny that contained an unknown liquid. “Here, drink this.”
Destiny nodded, trusting the church head. How could she say no to her anyway? She took the bottle in her hands and took a sip. Destiny immediately almost dropped the bottle after she finished, but Geoffrey caught it.
Destiny held her head. “I don’t feel so good. What was in that drink?”
“Don’t worry, you’ll be fine.” Leslie ignored her question. She rubbed Destiny’s back before turning to Victor. “Are we ready, Victor?”
“As always. We never run out of masks.” Victor noted confidently. He hands a Draculoid mask to Geoffrey.
Destiny was trembling. Leslie was still comforting the girl. “Just hold still. It will all be over soon.”
Geoffrey swiftly pulled the mask on Destiny. She tried to resist, but Leslie was holding her still. As soon as the mask was completely on Destiny, she screamed.
“Wait maybe you shouldn't see this, Mols.” Gert reaches to cover Molly’s eyes.
Molly moved Gert’s hand away from her. “I deserve to know what’s going on!” When Molly stole a glimpse of what happened to Destiny, she almost screamed. Gert reached to cover her adoptive sister’s mouth. She looked at the other teens. They also adopted a look of horror on their face.
“Did you hear that?” Geoffrey looked around the area suspiciously. “I heard something.”
They looked at the window that overlooked where the parents stood. There was nobody there.
---------
“Your foot is not in the right place!”
“Get off of me!”
“You’re cheating!”
Those were the things Alex’s parents heard coming from the lounge. Catherine greeted the teens, “Hey guys. We hope we’re not interrupting you all.”
“Hi, mom! Nah, we’re just playing Twister.” Alex said.
“You guys actually came when things were about to get interesting,” Molly commented.
Alex’s parents nodded. Geoffrey spoke this time, “It looks like you guys are having fun. Your parents will be downstairs when you’re ready to go.” They waved the teens goodbye and left.
The teens watched as Alex’s parents leave. Karolina was the first person to say something. “Did you think they suspected a thing?”
“I sure hope they didn’t. Them finding out is probably the death of us.” Chase commented.
The teens separated from their game of Twister. They stood up, dusting themselves off.
“So what are we going to do, Alex?” Gert asked. “We can’t just stay here and pretend nothing happened.”
“Just act normal when you guys leave with your parents. I’ll text you guys to meet up tomorrow.” Alex told the other teens.
“Where are we meeting up? Somewhere in Battery City?” Molly wondered.
“Our safest bet is to meet in one of our homes,” Alex told the other teens. “Devising a meeting in Battery City is dangerous. The security is very tight there.”
The rest of the teens nodded in agreement. There was no use in disagreeing with each other.
---------
“Hey, Gert. Have you seen Karolina?” Chase asked Gert who was on her holo. The pair were in the lobby.
“Am I boring you with my appearance already?” Gert automatically replied without looking up from her holo.
“No! That was not what I meant.” Chase defensively said. “It’s an honest question.”
“Unfortunately, no. Is that all you wanted to say to me?”
“Look, I just wanted to know if you knew where she was. Also, I wanted to check up on you and Molly after what we just saw.” Chase explained. “It must be pretty harsh for Molly to experience that.”
“Yeah, but I think she’s alright now. She’s a strong girl.” Gert powered off her holo and looked up at Chase. “And as for me, I’m doing peachy.”
“Well, that’s good to hear.” Chase dug his hands into the pockets of his jeans. Gert knew he was a little nervous. She heard his mom call for him. “Well, looks like I gotta go. It was nice seeing you, Gert.”
“Yeah, see you tomorrow.” Gert watched Chase exit the house with his parents. She didn’t bother giving her childhood crush a smile.
She stood there until Molly showed up. She couldn’t believe Chase actually had the guts to try to talk to her. Maybe Alex getting the gang back together wasn’t so bad after all.
---------
“Hey, Karolina. You alright?” Nico politely asked the blonde. The two girls were outside of the house. “I noticed you’ve been quiet before we parted from the lounge.”
“Uh yeah. I guess I’m fine? I’m not entirely sure if what we saw back there was real.” Karolina rambled. “Like my mom is the head of a church. There’s no way she would act that way.”
“I’ve been thinking the same thing. I wouldn’t think my parents would be like that.” Nico says. “But I guess we can figure this out together?”
“Yeah, that sounds good.” Karolina smiles at the goth. “You know, I don’t think I have your number on my holo.”
“Oh, hand it over. I’ll type it in.”
Karolina handed her holo towards Nico. “Thanks. I think it’s for the best you know. After everything that happened tonight.”
“Yeah, I thought Alex couldn’t get any weirder.” Nico handed the holo back to the blonde. Their hands touched a little in the process.
Karolina’s mother had pulled up to the curb near the Wilders’ home. Karolina said, “Well, I’ll see you tomorrow?”
“Yeah, tomorrow.” Nico smiled a little. She watched Karolina open the car door and hopped into the front passenger seat of her mother’s car. The blonde waved at Nico goodbye and she waved back. Nico looked back at her holo and smiled at the recently added number.

A Friend in Fawcett City (Shazam x reader)
Warning: Contains mentions of suicide.
You couldn’t take it anymore.
You looked down at the city below you, even at this late hour the roads were still busy.
You had a bottle of whisky clutched tightly in your hand and you downed the last drop of it.
Now is the time you thought. You sighed heavily, your hands shook, and your body trembled; things had gotten too much for you over the last year, so much had changed, and you couldn’t take it.
You put the bottle down and you stood up and stepped towards the ledge and you took a deep breath, this is it you thought to yourself, feeling tears falling down your cheeks. You closed your eyes and began to take a step.
“Don’t do it.” A voice said behind you. You didn’t recognise it and you debated whether to turn around and see who it was or just ignore it and carry on with what you were about to do. “Did you hear me?” The voice asked, “I said don’t do it.”
You sighed, and slowly turned around and stepped away from the ledge. You opened your eyes and couldn’t believe who was standing behind you.
The hero of Fawcett City; Shazam.
“What do you want?” You asked. “I was just flying by when I saw you, and realised you need help.” He said gently.
“I don’t need help.” You muttered, looking away from him and turning back to the ledge. “I think you do.” He said, you shook your head. “Do you wanna talk about it?” He asked, you shook your head again. “Are you sure?” He asked, and you nodded.
“Can you at least tell me your name?” He asked. You sighed, “My name is Y/N.” You said.
“Well, Y/N, my name is Shazam, some people call me Captain Mar-”
“I know what people call you.” You interrupted, “They call you Captain Marvel.” You said. “Can you let me help you?” He asked, you shook your head.
“Well, if you do decide to ignore me and go ahead with what you were about to do, you should know that I’ll just come after you.” He said.
You sighed and turned around to face the superhero. “Then don’t come after me. Please!” You shouted. “I can’t do that Y/N.” He said. “And why not?” You asked.
“Because I can’t. I don’t know how anyone can just ignore someone who’s about to do what you were going to do.” He said.
“Are. I still am!” You snapped at him, tears streaming down your face. “Can you just tell me why? Maybe I can help you.” He said.
“I doubt you can.” You muttered, and you collapsed onto the floor leaning against the ledge. You brought you knees up to your chest and cried into your arms.
You heard the superhero step closer to you and he slumped on the ground next to you. “Tell me.” He said, putting a hand on your shoulder.
You took a deep breath, “You really wanna hear it?” You asked, and he nodded.
“Ok.” You sighed, “It started last year. My grandfather died.”
“Were you close?” He asked, you nodded. “Then after that, bad stuff kept happening.” You said. “Bad stuff?” He asked. “I started to hate my job, so I got another one and I hoped it would be better, but I just hated it even more than the last one. My friends all have amazing jobs that they love, and I hated that I didn’t have that. A few weeks later, I found out my boyfriend had been cheating on me for months and I threw him out and moved in with his new girlfriend. I thought I’d like living on my own, but it’s so lonely. I still miss him.” You cried.
“After I took some time to myself, my friends convinced me that I needed to get back out there and find someone, but it was useless, I couldn’t click with any of them.”
“Well, that’s not your fault.” The hero said, but you sighed and continued, “I just gradually started feeling shittier and shittier. My grandmother died a few weeks ago and my friends are all getting married and having babies and I’m still single. I’m scared I’m gonna be on my own for the rest of my life, and it scares me. I don’t want to be alone.” You cried.
“Tell me about yourself.” He said. “What?” You asked. “Tell me what you like to do?” He asked, “What makes you happy.”
“Not a lot lately.” You muttered. “Come on.” He said, “Tell me something about you and I’ll tell you something about me.”
You sighed, you hated talking about yourself. “I like reading.” You said. “Is that all?” He asked, you shook your head. “No.” You muttered. “I like to travel, but I can’t afford it right now.”
“Where would you go if you could afford it?” He asked, you thought hard, where was the one place you wanted to go? “Austria.” You said. “Why?” He asked. “Because…because of the lakes, and the view.” You said. “There you go!” He exclaimed, nudging you. “There’s something to look forward to.” He smiled. “I can’t afford it.” You said. “So, you stick out the job you’ve got until you find something you want and save up for Austria.” He said.
“And the other thing, you won’t be alone forever.” He said. “There’s someone out there who’s looking for you, and when he finds you, he’ll be the luckiest man on the planet.” He smiled. You felt a smile tug at you lips. “Thanks.” You said. “No problem, Buddy.” He said, “I’ll be here anytime you need me.” He reassured and went to stand up when you stopped him. “What?” He asked.
“You haven’t told me anything about yourself.” You said, and he sat back down next to you.
“What I like to do the most, more than anything, is to fly at night.” He said. “Have you ever looked at the stars, it makes me feel like I’m in another world.”
You watched him as he looked up at the night sky, you leant your head back and looked at the stars. He was right, until now you hadn’t noticed how beautiful the sky was. “No matter how dark it gets, just remember you can always see the stars.” He smiled.
“Thank you.” You smiled. “If you ever need me again, meet me here at this same time.” He said, “I’ll be flying by and if I see you, I’ll come and talk.” He smiled. “Thanks.” You smiled back.
“It’s getting late, let me walk you back to your apartment.” He said getting to his feet. “No, I’ll be fine.” You said, but he shook his head. “Let me walk you back, I’ll know you’re safe then.” He said. You get to your feet and smile and walked back to your apartment with the superhero following you.
When you arrived at your apartment, and Shazam was happy that you’d be alright. He left and you watched him fly away.
You had many friends, but he was surely going to be a great friend.

a fun chaosverse note no one will care that much about but is like Very Exciting for me rn:
there is in fact one person who knew Evan before his kidnapping. knowing that he was in a tough spot, she offered for him to join her in hopes that-- like she did-- he’d have an opportunity for a better life.
Tru didn’t know what exactly would happen to him until Brenlo showed off his “progress” and she realized she’d made a huge mistake.

What are your OCs' backstories?
OOF ok uh so
theres a lot so ill “condense” it, ill only do the main 3 bc um i have too many ocs
starting with finn, since he was the oldest. his backstory is still a wip, but:
finn was born to a family who didnt want him, and left him on the street, basically. he was found by a man (whose name i still havent thought of oh no) somehow along the way. This man was an artist whose wife recently left him. he raised finn, enrolled him in school, even though he didnt have enough money. they lived on the outskirts of new york city.
back in NJ, lola was born to marisol and martin a couple years after finn. marisol was wery young and naive at the time. she was kind, but people (like martin) often took advantage of her niceness. marisol was a mom but martin was a pretty shit dad; he didnt really like the idea of having a kid and having to stay in one place. He grew to like lola  a bit actually, but not really. the idea of having a family really “weighed him down”, although he didnt really admit it. when lola was 5, marisol told everyne they were to have another kid (chiki). martin didnt want another child so he up and left marisol and lola
when sam was born, lola was 2. Sam’s parents are Antonio and Theresa, who where even shittier parents individually than martin would ever be. theresa was an obsessive, nitpicky, overprotective control freak and antonio was a violent and physically abusive alcoholic, they hated each other but at the same time were really dependent on one another so neither of them permanently left the house. sam was pretty much an accident and theresa couldnt have an abortion because antonio’s parents were super super fuckign religious and she didnt wanna be separated from him
when sam was 4 or so he ran away from home and met lola at a park. she kinda took him back to her house but when marisol found out sam ran away she had to take him back home, where (unknown to marisol) sam was beaten as punishment from antonio
shortly after chiki was born (a couple weeks later after sam ran away), lola’s family moved to another town so marisol could get a better job to provide for her family.
over the next couple years sam was enrolled in school and when he was in third grade or so lola moved back. sam and lola became really really good friends though through school, even when lola was in middle school the two really hung out together.
when lola was 13 (in eighth grade), she realized she wasn’t straight, and consulted sam about it. he suggested she tell her mom, when she was ready. a week later, she told marisol about it. Marisol was very hesitant at first (because she was religious), and lola and her mom’s relationship became strained for about a couple months.
when sam was 13 Theresa left the house and took sam with her after she found antonio sleeping with another woman. they drove all the way out to pennsylvania to stay with Theresa’s family, then theresa got a call from antonio begging her to come back. she said she regretted leaving and turned back around. when sam got back to the house that night he decided to commit suicide, only he wasnt sure if he really wanted to, so he drank a ton of his dad’s liquor to see what would happen. he ended up vomiting and passing out
at the same time, lola entered a junior baking competition. she only got second place, but the judges were impressed nonetheless. though she was only a sophomore, she started looking for cooking schools to go to. marisol became less alienated from her daughter and began to be supportive, not only of lola’s passion for cooking, but of her sexuality too.
meanwhile, finn and his adoptive father moved to new jersey for a more affordable living area. finn wasnt in redsdale yet, it wouldnt be until he was in his 20s he’d move there
back to sam: at age 15, antonio and theresa had another really big fight that caused theresa to leave, but this time, she didnt take sam. antonio in a drunk rage kicked sam out and forced him to go look for his mom and that he couldnt come back until he found her. sam looked around the neighborhood for a couple hours, gave up, and went to lola’s house to sleep there. when he went back to his house, he found out that everything was actually ok, his mom had literally just been hiding in the basement the whole entire time. it was at this point sam decided he should leave his house. he got a job at the surf shop down the road, and dropped out of school at 16 to get a second job at the grocery store
when lola was 18 she graduated from school, finally. she had gotten numerous scholarships and went to a school a couple hours away from home. her and sam kept in contact through texting a bit but not much. lola had a pretty hard time in college at first because she wasn’t used to constructive criticism and following directions n stuff. she was pretty headstrong and impatient as a kid but it’s here that she learned to be more meticulous and accept others’ advice. gradually she started to do really good. she became *almost* top of her class towards the end of her second year. she took an internship her third year to work in a kitchen in a pretty fancy restaurant.
when sam was 18, he moved out of the house. life was pretty good as he was able to afford more on his own and do better w/o the stress of his parents. he started exercising a lot more (he had a bit before but his parents starved him a lot (not really intentionally, they were just really neglectful and he wasnt a priority to them)) and was teaching himself self defense/how to fight especially since his parents didnt want him leaving and they might try to follow him
during break for lola and for sam’s 19th birthday, lola took him to a rock concert. this is where sam met lynn. they kept in contact w/ each other for a couple months as friends and then decided to date. for sam and lynn’s 1 month anniversary, sam wrote lynn a song and played it for her. the next day lynn asked to join her 2 person band in need of a 3rd member
in the meantime finn was having some rough patches with his dad. he really wanted to go to art school but they couldnt afford it. finn had to get a job at an early age to support the family since they didnt have a lot of money
things were going well with the band sam was in until mikey (band leader/singer) had been caught w/ lynn. sam found out this was not just a one night stand, but instead had been going on for a year. sam went to mikey’s house out of anger and beat mikey up to the point where mikey was literally on the verge of death. lynn found him in his house alone and got him to the hospital. sam was arrested but not tried, since mikey’s parents (cassandra and micheal sr) didnt want mikey to go to jail too (since mikey was kinf of a drug dealer on the side and if mikey’s house was investigated bc of the crime scene for evidence theyd def find illegal shit? i guess? yea)
lola caught this on the new and was furious with sam. she’d become pretty distant w/ him bc of being so busy with college, so she broke it off with him. sam went into a pretty bad depression and started drinking and going to bars n shit and picking up girls
after awhile he realized his life was really fucked up and tried getting some jobs but no one would hire him because of a spotty criminal record
lola in the mean time graduated college and went back to redsdale to visit her mom. she wanted to still live there despite the fact she could pretty much go anywhere else considering how good of a chef she was. but instead she wanted to live close to her mother. she got a job at a restaurant by the ocean owned by frank. it wasnt doing so well; chefs were constantly coming and going, the place was out of date, etc. lola quickly became head chef there and practically saved frank’s failing business.
sam found out lola was in town and wanted her help. they apologized to each other and she decided to help. lola got sam a job at frank’s restaurant since frank said he owed lola for her helping him.
going back a couple years, finn moved out of his house at 22. he was super stressed out over working so he moved near the ocean in hopes of “rediscovering” himself. in the first couple years he was in redsdale, he developed his art a lot and painted mostly stuff of the ocean. he decided he needed a job, and got one at frank’s restaurant as a janitor. this is where finn met lola.
eventually sam met finn as well after sam got a job there, and they became pretty good friends. finn didnt like sam at first but after a bit he warmed up to him. after a year or so sam realized he had a crush on finn and this time, consulted lola and realized he wasnt straight. it took him a couple weeks to prepare but after a bit sam told finn he liked him. plot twist, finn was gay this whole time, luckily
pretty much everything wraps up here, sam and finn are dating now
and we’re in the current modern day
yea

Change, Growth, New,
So I finally decided to actually rid my self of negative externalities like social media (except some) and OTHER THINGS.  I am just straight up tired of having to look at society and how “happy” everyone looks on their profiles and how FAKE it all is. It is literally fake. This “other thing” is too embarrassing to actually type out. Moreover, this “other thing” needs to go. Like now.
I am deciding to take time to my-self and face my-fears (Alone). Face the fears that have infected my spiritual and physical body like a virus. I have known what this virus was doing but I never thought it would manifest itself, actually effect relationships and ultimately change my overall personality. I have noticed that my personality, over the past like 3 years, has gradually and progressively gotten shittier. I am tired around my friends, yawn when i am in the club, I am tired for no reason, I was sleeping too much. I couldn't keep convo’s with my closest friends.
I even pushed away the absolute love of my life. Fuck,
Before today, I had been a shitty version of my self. Today, I have taken up the challenge to STOP what I have been doing for SO many years. It is very humiliating to be honest. This is the first step, in many, to change how I actually function with my physiological and spiritual self.
before, I have tried to “focus on my self” but that is not where my problem is rooted. I love myself, I know a lot about my self but on the contrary, I was not actually taking legit action to better myself. I think with this new change (it is SO difficult) I am going to grow into a new person. That’s what being a Pisces is all about right? Change.
The Lord is good and is currently taking care of my heart n soul. He provides safety, knowledge, wisdom, intuition, and love. All the things that help ANYONE become the greatest and most awesome version of themselves.
Today is DAY 1. Let’s see how long I last. Going for 1 month, cold turkey in this new change of behavior. I need to be honest with my self before I can be honest with anyone else. . .
