Another Update!

Hey, friends! I'm back with another Fandom Update and this one is much happier than the last. After an extended break and a few months to heal, I'm excited and really pleased to announce that I'm coming back to the Shadowhunters fandom!

It's been a really rough few months, but I've managed to get through the worst of it with help and support from my friends, and now I feel ready to jump back into the fray. I've really missed fanfic writing, especially for Shadowhunters, and I'm so happy to be back at it again. Alec Lightwood and I have a lot of time to make up for.

With that being said, asks are open as always and I'm happy to announce that after I answer some prompts in my inbox that I feel I can, I will be opening prompts again! I can't wait to get writing and creating for any of you that may follow me and want to send in prompts and requests <3

As always, I will also be writing for other fandoms, so you can expect to see some Leverage, Criminal Minds, Supernatural, Detroit: Become Human, and various other obsessions bleeding through! I'll also be accepting prompts for those when I open my inbox officially again.

Thank you to all who have supported me this far, and know that I am so fucking excited and happy to be back. It's been a tough year, but I know next year can be a lot better. <3 Your support always has and always will mean the absolute world to me.

For about 6 years now I've had a running gag with one of my cousins where, once every like 6 months or so, I'll find a way to insert a certain mental image into the conversation. The mental image is "a pile of toilets in an elevator, which closes and then goes up." I do this as naturally as possible. I'll construct an entire scripted conversation path with the express intention of leading into an opportunity for me to say "a pile of toilets in an elevator, which closes and then goes up." I have talked other people who aren't me into integrating the phrase into their conversations with him just once. He fucking hates it. He has threatened to kill me about it. I let so much time pass between instances that he never sees it coming. Because he knows that the only way to see it coming is to integrate into his brain the expectation that at any point, any conversation may suddenly turn out to be a toilet-elevator trap. And that's a fucking insane way to live.

#poorly drawn mdzs #mdzs #wen qing #wen ning #jiang cheng #wei wuxian #In the audio drama she quite literally opens the door and then leaves after seeing them without breaking conversation.#It is both so impressive and deeply funny to me.#I imagine her just literally pivoting in one foot and walking right out.#She came home after a long day at work and in 0.5 seconds went “I would rather go back to the office than deal with this right now”.#Besides tickling me to near tears - this scene is also a great introduction to Wen Qing - her first instinct is to protect!#She lives by the code of 'I don't care who you are - if you need help I will lend it.' a true doctor and professional.#Sure she is *mad* that Wen Ning puts himself (and her to a lesser extent) at risk by helping 'the enemy' but she gives in quick.#I love Wen Qing a lot - she is such an unsung hero in this story.#Sorry that her first appearance on this blog was...what it was. I'll let your curiosity take you down that path...

I fear that "fire bending didn't come easy to zuko" and "zuko isn't a prodigy" (both true) has somehow snowballed into "zuko is a bad or at best average fire bender".... which simply isn't true, especially by the end of book 3

#it certainly doesn't help that pretty much the only other fire bender that Zuko's consistently contrasted with #is his extremely talented once in a lifetime level of a prodigy sister #but guys he's still very powerful #and I will bravely propose that #after seeing the dragons #and Zuko is no longer relying on his anger and rage to fuel his firebending #its not a coincidence that the next two battles that he has with Azula either #end with a stalemate (both Zuko and Azula use the same move on the airship and notably she's blown back further from it than he is!)#and then him winning (she's lost her stability while he's finally found his)#(side side note: I'm of the camp that Azula targeting Katara in the Agni Kai made Zuko the automatic victor because an Agni Kai is #(should be?)#between only the two partaking in it and Zuko WAS straight up wiping the floor with her until that very moment where she targeted Katara #which you know great play on Azula part she knows how to manipulate her brother cause once she released she was losing the Agni kai #Azula simply made the choice to get the throne via the line of succession lol)#ah well #atla #zuko
