“does Jesus have a political agenda” i see the sexist theobros are going to be insufferable this week
#maybe it’s just one guy i’m sorta friends with but he and i. have some theological differences.#he doesn’t know i’m queer and i think if he did he’d dismiss everything i say#this is an arts thing and he has a friend in science who i have a crush on#who like. i don’t know if they agree on certain issues because sure they’re friends but also we’re friends and i believe women should preac#actually#these are the dynamics of uni christian groups#guess i have to be vocal about being an egalitarian and learn more about it#which like yeah i should but it’s annoying and my brain never functions#it’s just. if you’re taking the Bible as true (which both of us are) and you thus believe the Spirit gives different spiritual gifts -#all are needed they’re given by God none is worthless etc#- and women are given gifts of preaching. then SURELY women should preach using the spiritual gifts given to them#there’s also in-home complementarianism vs egalitarianism (‘Biblical womanhood’ BIBLICAL WOMANHOOD IS KILLING A WARRIOR WITH A TENT PEG BC#GOD TOLD YOU TO HAROLD)#but we (mercifully) haven’t gotten that far#obviously this is biased by me being a woman. and also me being queer.#and today i said ‘i honestly don’t think anyone can interpret ALL OF THE BIBLE correctly it’s just too infinite’#and he disagreed and. idk. i think assuming that you can fully interpret the Bible correctly can easily lead to arrogance especially since#there is so much debate (eg creation). and like. if you *can* be right what’s stopping you from saying you *arent*#like the Bible is BIG. also God is infinite so shouldn’t it track that His Word is also infinite??#and yeah i know i’m wrong about things but to act as though one church (eg denomination) has it All Right is dangerous#us conservatism hello#(we aren’t in the us but anyway)#and like i know i’m wrong about things. i just don’t know what. and that doesn’t mean i shouldn’t *try* to be right - of course i should!!#it just means that i can’t learn it all on earth. in 21st century australia.

body on me- jake sim au
Tumblr media
pairing: pastor’s son!jake x church girl! reader
synopsis: everyone sees you and jake as the perfect, god-fearing couple of your town. but what they didn’t know was you’re not as innocent as you seem to be.
genre: smut, established relationship, pwp i guess????
warnings: semi-public sex, a bit of church themes (skip this fic if you’re uncomfortable), y/n’s mother is kind of a bad mother
listen to this to amp up the spice:
undefined
youtube
*read below*
“Food for the stomach and the stomach for food, and God will destroy them both.” The body, however, is not meant for sexual immorality but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body.
your mother reads the verse before closing the bible, “remember children, your body does not belong to anyone else. it only belongs to the lord our god. if you ever enter marriage, remember that you do not own your spouse’s body. it is the lord’s and his alone.”
everyone nods their heads. you, however, didn’t and your mother must have noticed this.
“right, y/n?”
bullshit.
 you nod your head.
“that is all for today. remember to write your own reflection essays and we will be sharing them next week.”
everyone said their farewells. you stayed behind to help fix the chairs. the other kids from the different circle helped you too. including the pastor’s son, jake.
you lifted one chair to put it on top of the other. you were surprised when a hand held yours. that hand with prominent veins belonged to one person only.
“hi.” jake smiles innocently at you and you gave him the same sweet smile.
everyone was familiar of the status you both had. being the pastor’s son and the daughter of the head of the church group. every kid looked up to you two, being the sweet, god-fearing couple.
but what people didn’t know is that your innocent gazes are merely a façade of your true desires.
you kept staring at jake’s veiny hands. with his sleeves rolled up, you were getting more turned on.
judging by how you were looking at him, jake leans closer to your ear, “follow me.”
***
your back was pushed to the wall of the stockroom as jake attacked you with harsh kisses. you pull him closer to you as the intense feeling began to build up. jake placed his knee on your clothed core and you began grinding on it.
“oh god!”
“y/n, we shouldn’t use the lord’s name in vain.”
you fastened your movements which made jake groan before he kisses your neck then back to your lips. he bites your lower lip and enters his tongue once you opened your mouth.
“j-jake…a-aah!”
jake unbuttons your blouse then fondles your breasts. next, he unclasps your bra and lets it fall on the floor. you tug on jake’s shirt and he began unbuttoning it. both of you were bare and you slowly touched each other’s bodies with admiration.
“you’re so beautiful.” jake says before diving back into your mouth. he slid one of his fingers in your pussy and you moaned at the feeling. you can feel yourself releasing your juices as jake fastens his pace.
“jake. p-please.” you whine and jake just lets out this breathy laugh. he kept drawing circles in your clit and you couldn’t help but roll your eyes back due to the pleasure.
 “anything for my angel.”
jake gets on his knees and doesn’t waste time in eating you out. you hiss at the feeling of him making
“o-ooh!”
jake immediately unbuckles his belt and when his member was on display. he removes your panties then inserts himself inside you. both of you groan at the feeling before you slowly grind your hips forward.
“f-fuck…”
“you sound hot when cursing.” you say out of breath and wrap your legs on jake’s waist.
jake turns you around and you felt more euphoric than ever. you knew jake liked it when you take him from behind and you love him for remembering that about you.
“s-so close…a-aah!” you held one of your breasts, hoping it’ll stimulate your orgasm but jake immediately grabs your hand and holds it instead.
jake presses his chest on your back and both of you were basically out of breath
“who do you belong to?” jake whispers in your ear.
“y-you. i-i’m only yours.”
jake continues pounding you from behind and reached for his head and brushed your fingers on his hair.
“are you mine, jakey?”
jake growls in your ear “i’ll always be yours,” and pounds harder behind you.
“o-ooh! shit!”
you turn your head and jake gave you a passionate kiss as he slow down his pace, both of you reaching your highs.
both of you took slow breaths, pulling each other closer to feel the intimacy and warmth of your bodies together.
“i love you.” you say in between breaths. you can feel jake smile at you from behind and he kisses the side of your head.
“i love you. you did so well for me.”
minutes later, both of you changed back into your clothes but the sexual mood hasn’t gone yet.
jake hugged you from behind and gave you wet kisses on the side of your neck.
“jake…”
you can feel his hands going inside the skirt of your dress and touch the waistband of your panties.
“jake, we literally just had sex.”
“but i’ll be away for a week. i’m going to miss you.”
you chuckle and turn around, “you can always call me,” then you lean into jake’s ear, “and we can talk all night long.”
you can see jake’s ears turn red, “and have my dad hear our noises in a church retreat? no, thank you.”
jake kisses you slow, his hand holding your back. you let out a soft moan when jake brushes his lips at your neck.
“only i get to hear those pretty noises.” jake says in between breaths.
 “jake, really…we have to go.”
jake pouts and you couldn’t help but melt and give him another kiss. it would be a sin to lie that you weren’t needy over jake as he is with you.
“don’t know how i’ll survive the week without you.”
“should i just tell my dad i’m sick?”
“no, you have to go. and if you are sick, who’s going to take care of you?”
“hm…let me guess. you.”
both of you ended up doing a cute make out that soon turned into a lustful one.
later on, you ended up giving each other oral and one more round with you riding on jake as you rock your hips fast. you cover his mouth from his moans and constant pleases, smiling that finally it was you making him beg for you.
but sadly, both of you went back after your session or else your mother will go frantic with you missing.
“y/n, dear.” your mother calls you, being happy when she sees you with jake.
“we’ve been looking for you. where have you been?”
“y/n was helping me organize the documents, mrs. l/n.”
“oh is that so? well, you know my daughter. always one to help with people’s needs.”
you can see jake smirking, knowing he understood that statement in a different way.
“jake, son.”
jake’s mother calls him and tells him that they’ll be heading home.
“excuse me.”
jake passes by you and your mother and subtly brushes his finger on yours. you both look at each other before parting your separate ways.

Okay.
I only meant to make one SJM post cause Ik how certain girls like to tussle
But since the gwynriels and elucians decided to mess w me EVEN THO I SAID TO LOOK AWAY IF YOU GET EASILY TRIGGERED…
There is only one thing to do:
Talk more about why Elriel is not based in delusion — unlike some ships (not naming names, if you take offense that’s your mind questioning things)
Again, I am giving my PERSONAL OPINION. I even said at the end of my last post that I am not the author and I will love & respect whatever SJM does, which some of y’all can’t echo. That’s sad. This is a fictional world.
DISCLAIMER: if you’re easily triggered by elriel/elucian/gwynriel…l o o k a w a y
DISCLAIMER#2: I am unapologetic cause this is my page :)
Also, stop hitting my line with the “I wasn’t going to respond to this but…” or “you’re so anti…” like 1, if you weren’t going to respond, then don’t. It’s not that serious where the world is BEGGING for your opinion. And 2, I’m not anti anything, I’m pro-logic, again if that offends you then that’s a convo for you and you not you and me.
Now onto the main event…
Azriel
Tumblr media
My mans is being dragged through the mud both in the books and online. We say we “love him” but are ignoring what he wants and babes, that’s Elain. If you don’t like her personally, that’s not how Az is feeling, that’s how YOURE feeling. Gwyn has one chapter (+1 sentence) of where I can even attempt to grasp at what Gwynriel’s quote as bible, but again, AZ AND ELAIN HAVE 3 BOOKS. Y’all are acting like Rhys in Az’s bonus chapter and if Rhys couldn’t make his stance acceptable, y’all definitely can’t.
Elain
Tumblr media
Again, I say, if you do not like the lady pictured above, stop reading ACOTAR cause she ain’t going anywhere. To be so for real, I didn’t mind Elain at first, meaning I didn’t care whether or not she was included in any story whatsoever. But as I read ACOWAR and ACOFAS, I started realizing that there’s something so lovely about having a character who is innately good and wants/practices peace in a world of animosity and ugliness. She brings beauty in all areas of her life and I think that there’s nothing bad about being “boring” cause that just means your life ain’t a dang mess (*cough* *cough* everybody else in this book)
Tumblr media
So here is where I debunk all the claims I have grown tired of ignoring:
• #1 - “He hadn’t gotten that far into his planning beyond the fantasies he’s pleasured himself to.”
Tumblr media
(Picture credit: unknown) Get a good look cause that’s what he’s doing at night when he thinks about ELAIN. (It’s canon, so cry to yourself)
So, y’all really think you got us here, huh? So, my man Azriel blatantly admits to thinking of Elain when he wants to be intimate and y’all STILL want your girl to be with this man?
Ugh
Anyway, so Azriel hadn’t planned a relationship with Elain…OKAY???? Did you expect this man to have a map laid out about how he’s going to steal Lucien’s mate??? Do y’all even know Azriel? Like, be so for real rn.
Idk about y’all but when I have a crush on someone, I’m not thinking about how to steal them from the rest of the world, I’m imagining kissing them or going on cute dates. Not how I’ll actually make it happen. And ik y’all do that too with your favorite celebrities so stop playing.
He has a crush. Can you let the man figure out if Elain even wants him to act on it before he plans a 12-step mission on making Lucien disappear forever?
Azriel doesn’t want to force his emotions on anyone (as seen with Mor) so of course he’s not going to act or plot without confirmation that the other person in the party wants that. I.E. why he hadnt tried anything with Mor in all the CENTURIES that he liked her.
So, yeah, consider that point invalid.
• #2 - Lucien is Elain’s mate
Tumblr media
(PC: @shauna_the_author) *sigh* This one cannot be dubunked, unfortunately, because it is true. You got me here.
BUT
Elain is more likely to marry Nuala and Cerridwen before she spends the rest of her life with Lucien.
And it has nothing to do with Lucien. It really, really doesn’t. Elain simply doesn’t like him. Y’all were in my comments like “oh he didn’t really sell out Elain and Nesta, he didn’t know”. OKAY. But Elain literally says in ACOWAR that she knows Lucien as two things: Feyre’s friend and the MAN WHO SOLD THEM OUT TO HYBERN
Who cares if it isn’t true, that’s what Elain thinks and with her in mind, you can’t say that this bond means anything more to her than Lucien having some ownership of her which she doesn’t like at all. She even tells Graysen that she doesn’t care Lucien is her mate (“I belong to no one, but my heart belongs to you.”)
Whereas with Azriel, my girl is practically skipping into his arms; talking with him about her dream garden, getting him not one but two solstice gifts, almost-kissing him, recoiling at Cassian’s dagger but actively using Azriel’s…
Idk about y’all but if someone who was fated to be with me was acting this way with another girl, I’d drop him like a hot potatoe. AND AS LUCIEN SHOULD. He deserves someone who wants him, not someone who, as even Lucien said in ACOWAR when he was questioning if Elain was “worth it”, is shackled to him.
I harbor no ill will toward this dreamy man, but it ain’t gonna happen so do Elain a favor and lose her number, k?
• #3 - Sarah wouldn’t do the 3 brothers with 3 sisters, it’s too cliche
Tumblr media
Write your own book then. Fan fiction is a thing. If the ONLY thing preventing you to see reason is the possibility of a cliche in a book about kingdoms and fairies and magic then your priorities are so out of shape I won’t even spend the time explaining it to you.
This is SARAH’s WORLD. If she wants to be cliche and have the three female protagonists end up with the three male protagonists then let her. Omg.
• #4 - That Gwynriel scene tho
Tumblr media
(NOTE THE PICTURE) Oh, you mean the bonus chapter that featured thoughts about Elain? Not that one? Oh, then maybe you mean the other bonus chapter that featured thoughts about Elain? No? You mean the scene with Gwyn…hmmm
OH! You mean the 2 page conversation about training and why he couldn’t sleep (cause of Elain) and the subsequent regift of Elain’s present to Gwyn. Yeah, I know about that but why are we talking about it? Cause that means Az likes Gwyn? Huh?
That’s how delulu y’all sound. And if I hear another “you’re the ribbon Az”, one more time I’ll scream. THE RIBBON WAS ABOUT TRAINING NOT GWYN WANTING TO SLEEP WITH THE MAN. We are talking about the same girl who hadn’t left a library in god knows how long because of a sexual trauma and y’all are forcing her onto another man??
Gwyn was focused on coming into herself and mastering the ways of the Valkyrie. Nesta meant Gwyn found another obstacle in Az that she would have to overcome to become a Valkyrie. The only man Gwyn was concerned about was Cassian and that’s cause he was getting it on with Nesta. Again, be so for real right now.
I refuse to acknowledge this point until the opposing ships acknowledge the 3 books (+ ACOFAS) of build up between Elain and Azriel.
• #5 - Elain doesn’t belong in the Night Court
Tumblr media
This is the last point I’ll mention cause I actually feel bad for dogging the Gwynriels like this, but it had to be done. (Elucians get a pass bc at least their ship is based in evidence)
Elain doesn’t belong in the Night Court, okay, yeah Cassian said that the colors drown her out, I’ll give you that.
But Elain doesn’t know where she belongs anymore, just like Azriel has said about himself. She’s still figuring herself out and what she wants, so it’s okay she looks odd at times or feels at times out of place. Azriel keeps his shadows out 24/7 for the same reason. He doesn’t let anyone past the front he puts on unless he knows it’s safe to. They’re both figuring out how to live their best lives in their current lives.
I’ve heard Dusk Court theories and others but I won’t even repeat those (even tho they’re so good and you should definitely look into them). They just need to find their place in this world (and Cassian was right, Elain DOES NOT BELONG in the Hewn City).
Just like how Nesta didn’t believe she belonged in the Inner Circle, I believe there’s a place for Elain and Azriel where they can be themselves. They just need to find it I.E. their book.
-
Okay, that’s enough slaying of my enemies for one post. Again, this is just my opinion/theories and at the end of the day I’ll be happy with whatever Mrs. Maas gives us as long as she gives us something.
Act correctly or else I’ll be back.

Mcyt’s when you’re toxic in a game
I’ve been playing valorant lately, so why not? When I say toxic I mean more of a fun toxic, not violently bullying if that makes sense.
Mcyt’s included: Tommy, Dream, Sapnap, Wilbur
Tommy
Flabbergasted
He’s never seen you be so creatively aggressive before, not towards others in a game.
He immediately starts laughing though, so hard that he pushes his chair back and nearly falls out of it. He does die in the game though, not even caring about that.
You laugh with him, the sound of his laughter infectious.
The second he’s back he’s jumping to insulting others with you, and the two of you start tag-teaming your (not so) innocent teammates.
"Go play fortnite" may or may not have been used, along with the classic "step on Legos."
“Wait, I’ve got this one, I’ve got it!” Tommy exclaims, and the sounds of him frantically typing can be heard over your call.
“Make it good, come on.” You urge.
“I’m typing! I’m typing!”
The second his typing noises stop, a message appears in chat for all players to see. “I’m about to build a bible and pray for better teammates” it reads.
There’s a moment of silence over the call before the both of you burst into loud laughter.
The two of you can’t be toxic together for long though, because by the end of one match you’re both laughing too hard to think.
Dream
Dream’s a lot like Tommy, definitely.
Laughing, a bit of surprise.
But years of Sapnap have prepared him for his toxic arc, he’s been secretly keeping his toxicity inside the entire game.
He barely needs a moment to read over your chat messages before sending his own, each getting more and more outlandish.
Let’s be honest, he’s trying to impress you with his creative insults that just barely manage to bypass the chat filter.
And let’s not get started when the other team is toxic back, your voice call quickly becomes shouts of wounded egos.
“They called you an idiot sandwich!” You yell, catching the message before Dream does.
“Who the fuck are they?! GORDAN FUCKING RAMSEY?!” He yells right back. “We have to kill them now. We HAVE to.”
“I’ll do it, they’re so bad that I can beat them with my eyes closed.”
And, true to your word, you kill them nearly instantly when the next round starts. Dream cheers you on the entire way before he dies.
Needless to say that the person who killed him starts the cycle again.
If either of you goes too far though, Dream would pull back and insist on finding a better game.
He's not looking to get banned, how else can the two of you be toxic again later?
Sapnap
This is the KING of toxicity
Okay, maybe not king, but Sapnap can be toxic when he wants to be.
He doesn’t need any time, not even a breath, before he’s down in the trenches with you, flying insults at the other team.
There’s a little bit of laughter, but creative toxicity is serious business between the two of you.
The call is full of yelling, and conferencing on the best insult to send at the other players.
While you are avoiding the swear-blocker and any chance of being reported, Sapnap simply does not give a fuck.
It barely takes five minutes before he’s kicked out of the game for his insults, leaving you alone.
You’re both so surprised at the suddenness of it that the call goes completely silent.
"...huh." You say after watching his icon vanish and a message appears showing he was taken out.
"I got- I was- I'm on a penalty." Sapnap groans, and you can imagine him slouching down in his chair.
After another moment you speak up again. "What do you think did it? Which message? The anteater one? The rotten milk one?"
"No fucking way, it was when I said I was going to pay them to delete their account." He laughs.
"I stand by that you should've done it."
You make sure to win the game for him, but not without one last message.
"Game so easy it might have been the tutorial."
Wilbur
Wilbur, oh Wilbur, he is afraid of the ban hammer.
When you start sending messages he finds it funny, but he doesn't join in. He doesn't tell you to stop, either, so it's a win for you and you keep going.
After a minute or so he'll join in, but only verbally in the call between you two.
Soon enough you're stealing his insults to send, and the reaction from others prompts the both of you to create new ones.
They aren't ever directly mean, either, which makes them so much better.
"Even your imaginary pets are ashamed of you :("
After a while the layers of the insults get so deep they're just a confusing mess to people who aren't you two.
And it's still the funniest thing in the world.
The other team is aware it's an insult, but they can't figure out how, meaning you can say whatever you want and not get reported.
"Here's one, they shoot worse than Hamilton." Wilbur suggests, and you quickly type it up.
"We're the Burr to their Hamilton." You laugh.
Wilbur dies seconds later, groaning. "My backup was a glob of snot, please inform them of that."
Hell if you have any idea what that means, but off it goes for his backup to figure out. This was the most fun you've had playing a game, your face starting to hurt from how hard you're grinning.
Most of the insults he inputs tend to be history related: "Someone is putting this game into their resume for the United Nations", and "he's roleplaying as JFK."
The insults are creative enough that they stick for days afterward, and the two of you exchange them in the company of others, leaving them all confused.

Could you do a alt Gabriel x reader who is a Nun? Idk maybe he comes to them and they kinda start to see Gabriel as God or something when he starts telling them he is the true savior? (Just a suggestion Im sure there are many things with this request you can do)
It's fine if not of course, thanks for reading my request either way!
Alt Gabriel x Fem!Nun!Reader
warning(s): mentions of religion, manipulation, reader is a nun, god complex if you squint.
Tumblr media
(Y/n) (L/n) had become a nun when she turned twenty-one. She had been feeling unsure and doubtful of her life, and hoped that perhaps some form of religion would give her guidance. And if not, at least she had something to occupy her time. She would make sure the church was kept nice and tidy, ridding any webs and wiping down the stained glass windows, getting rid of dust.
As she entered the church, yet again praying to whoever would hear her, she heard a response. She looked to see who or what was there, letting out a sharp gasp as she spotted a tall man.
“Do not be afraid, my dear. I have great news. I am your true savior.” Gabriel stated, his voice barely above a whisper as he spoke, a gentle smile on his face as (Y/n) looked at him in awe.
“R-Really? Is it true? You’re my true savior?” (Y/n) asked, clasping her hands together over her rosemary, making Gabriel hold back a flinch, biting back a hiss as he spotted the cross around her neck.
“Now then darling, there’s no need to wear that anymore. It’s disrespectful to believe in an object as being holier than your savior.” Gabriel stated, his demeanor and tone still calm.
(Y/n) didn’t hesitate, taking off her rosemary, taking out her Bible, and casted them both aside. She only longed to listen to her savior, after all, how else could he have wings? There was no other explanation. She would do whatever he asked of her, no matter what it was.
“There we are, much better. Now, listen to me, and I shall answer all of your questions in due time.” Gabriel stated, making (Y/n) nod as he began to speak, preaching his own teachings, weaving his beliefs with the teachings of the Bible enough to not give away his true intentions.
(Y/n) was shocked as she learned of many new things, including things called ‘alternates’, which helped Gabriel with his teachings. She listened intently, eager to learn more from Gabriel. Gabriel would talk with her for hours at a time, instructing her to not share knowledge of his existence with anyone, telling her he would reward her if she did as he said. So, without thought, she listened. She did everything that was asked of her, and Gabriel enjoyed every second of it.
Once the alternates had been released among Mandela County, Gabriel was quick to sweep (Y/n) away, making up an excuse that she’d need his protection from the sinful creatures. He had her stay in a house away from the downtown area, where his alternates were most active.
Gabriel would use his alternates to scare (Y/n) into staying inside, convincing her that there was no need to visit the church anymore, especially with how dangerous it was to go outside.
He would have her believe that he was preparing for a rebirth of the world, and she was one of the lucky few that would be allowed to live with him. Her faith in him grew and grew, which only satisfied Gabriel, glad to know he had succeeded in gaining an iron grip on her life.
And nothing was going to make him let go.
~fin~

Any place with enough history in it is gonna have ghosts, and these mountains in particular — being the oldest mountains in the world — have the type of ghosts that predate the very humanity the spine of this land is afflicted with. The type of ghosts that — if you’re good and careful, if you find the right gaps ‘tween then and now t’slip between, say the right words to invite ‘em into your space — might just come pay you a visit.
Other times, you don’t gotta say shit.
These woods’ll keep you safe, if you keep ‘em safe, your momma would warn you with all the gravity of a stormcloud, wrist-deep in the rich black earth of her garden, digging out root vegetables and other sorts of magic from that treasure trove of life she’d spent more years cultivating than you’d actually been alive, This mountain will sustain you proper, if you sustain it.
These woods are deep and dark an’ full of the type of demons even your daddy’s Bible would have been scared to name, but you are the blood of both an’  your momma feared no man, woman, or haint in these or any mountains.
Which is why, when the specter shows up on your front porch, screamin’ for blood an’ justice, all you do is give her a name and offer her a plate of cornbread she’d never actually be able to eat.
Stops the screaming though.
Trouble with small towns — especially small towns in mountains like yours — is that sometimes, people go missing. People take walks out in the woods, fall into some mineshaft the State forgot to tag or get got by some apex predator lookin’ to prove just how wild God’s own country really is. People get lost, people just plain die. Nine times outta ten, nobody finds the body but the beasts an’ eventually nobody looks, all chalkin’ the loss up to some mountain sacrifice.
Blood for blood, what you make, I will take.
You’re no stranger to death — Hell, Cocke County coroner, you might almost call it your life’s work — but some parts of the job you could do without.
Parts which occasionally — and currently — include a sobbing woman sittin’ translucent an’ bloody in your kitchen.
You call her Janey, on account of the Jane Doe #117 title stamped on the manila folder sittin’ in your office, the one with the photos of a body that probably once belonged to the unsettled soul you’d invited inside and offered a sacrifice of fresh-baked bread. It ain’t her real name, but that’s what the boys over at Park Services are still trynna find out.
Ain’t nothin’ I can do about your body, honey, you tell her, sitting across from the glum-faced woman and trying to decipher the words she means to say between the static that just can’t stop pouring from that hollowed-out mouth.
Your daddy tried teachin’ you the language of the other side, all deep snarls an’ buzzin’ shadows, but sometimes it’s the words that manage to spill out that tell the truth, those last vestiges of humanity bubbling bloody an’ baleful from a tongueless mouth before death takes its last due.
You know her secrets.
You know she wore heels more than hiking shoes. You know she’s not from these mountains, not anywhere near these small towns. You scraped the dirt from under her fingernails and know she fought to survive with everything she had and you know, gut-sinkin’ and stomach churning, that she was not the first body her killer left behind.
You know you could write her name out on your paperwork and give her family some peace, tell ‘em she didn’t run away, tell ‘em she loved ‘em more than anything in the world.
You know you could tell her boyfriend she wasn’t cheating on him, that the man who picked her up and left her here for the beasts to find was someone she thought she could trust. You could tell her momma she was comin’ home from a good job, that she stopped drinkin’ four months ago, that therapy was goin’ well and she was gettin’ better. You could give her daddy a body to bury long before its time, an’ if this were the Holler you grew up in, you know that would be that.
But it ain’t, so nothin’s ever over, and now you’ve gotta figure out how to prove this shit.
You pour yourself a fourth cup of coffee, watching your cornbread offering slowly begin to mold, decay following death as it must always do. You gotta give me something to go off of for the Feds, honey.
You get static in return.
Well. That and the shrill ring of your landline, that old rotary thing you bought from a thrift shop on the other side of the state, kept connected just in case the towers don’t reach you through the early morning mist.
There’s only one goddamn asshole who’d call you on it at six in the goddamn morning.
You ever sleep, Levinson?
Could ask you the same thing, Doc, how long you been up?
Clockwork. The same conversation you’ve had every morning since Ari Levinson transferred from some national park you didn’t give a damn about up north, his drawl about as much a part of your morning routine as coffee and keeping Goatrude out of your vegetable garden.
You want something, Levinson, or you just callin’ to ask about my sleepin’ habits?
What, can’t check in on you, Doc? You can almost hear the casual smugness in his voice, imagining the way he might speak around the cigarette he’s probably smoking at too-early-in-the-morning, I got an update on Jane Doe. You need to get out here.
The grind of gravel tells you just how much choice you have in the matter, your houseguest disappearing the moment she realizes you are not about to be alone for much longer, Jesus, Levinson, you gotta give a lady some warning, you slam down the receiver with a satisfying sound, grabbing the thoroughly-molded cornbread and throwing the plate wholesale into the bin and dumping the rest of your coffee pot into a thermos, listening for the sound of his engine roaring to a stop as you rush through the rest of your morning.
You grab your bag as you leave, stalking your way down the gravel walk and flashing Ari Levinson — parked halfway up the driveway and mercifully blocked further by Goatrude doin’ her best guard dog impression — a hard glare in response to his lazy grin, One day I’m gonna have you arrested for trespassin’, you threaten as you get into the too-fancy-for-a-city-slicker truck he drives.
He doesn’t say a word as you get in, just turns the key in the ignition and with a wink and backs away from Goatrude threatening to headbutt his front bumper.
It takes about fifteen minutes to get to the scene, where your crew and work truck are already waiting, jumpsuit and booties prepared for you to pull on before you’re allowed past that yellow tape and allowed to face the scene before you.
And just what the Hell m’I supposed to do here?
Well, Doc, I’m pretty sure you’d say the next step’s the autopsy, Agent Ari Levinson, Park Services Investigation Division — or whatever the hell that formal title is that he handed off to the poor rookie trying to keep curious hikers away from the yellow tape — saunters up behind you, his cigarette put out so as not to contaminate the crime scene, taking it in with you.
Helluva scene too, with its most pertinent part — for you, right now — currently including a body layin’ pretty as a picture on a flat slab of rock, eyes closed and lips blue, naked as the day it was born.
Which all would’ve been fine, save for the lungs, kidneys, liver and contents of a final meal neatly poured from a stomach into a tupperware container and placed around the meatsack-that-had-once-been-a-human-being like an offering to some great and terrible mortician God.
If you got all the answers, Agent Obvious, you wanna explain to me just how the hell I’m supposed to autopsy a body that’s already been done?
Oh, we got a whole lot better than that. You contemplate turning him into a crime scene with your own gloved hands as he turns, gesturing towards the far side of the slab, just past the edge of a cluster of trees, where two of your staff stand with two large black dogs seated patiently in wait.
Surrounding a lump hidden by a big white sheet.
You can guess what’s underneath that sheet even before they remove it, like every shitty horror film you’ve seen. A chunk of meat vaguely shaped like a human, wearing none of its features, nothing identifiable ‘cept raw. meat.
We’ve been callin’ it Jekyll and Hyde all morning, Ari Levinson tells you, Deputy coroner’s fifty yards back dry heaving, so we—
Y’all brought in the big guns. Don’t tell me — that’s the same body.
Got it in one.
You close your eyes for a moment and take several breaths before looking at the scene once again, trying not to curse yourself or your momma for the way your day’s turned.
You got any more bad news for me, or am I allowed to start gettin’ in there and doing my job?
You try to ignore the way Ari Levinson’s gaze holds yours… and the way Jane Doe #117 shows up from over his shoulder, her hollow-mouthed scream silenced the moment the Agent starts to speak again, We got an ID on last week’s vic.
Tumblr media
The thing about names is how much power they hold. Your daddy took his name, stole it off the corpse of a man too broken with hunger to protest. Your momma abandoned hers, becoming more of a title than a name, markin’ herself as matriarch an’ Queen of the verdant kingdom she clawed out from the hands of the ungrateful and the undeserving. Both of ‘em agonized over yours, planting seeds of bloom and prosperity in every theoretical letter before they finally settled on somethin’ proper.
Only for you to change it the moment you were old enough to move outta the family home, disappear to the big city an’ make a name for yourself, choosin’ to hide any connection you had to that Holler you called home, not outta shame but outta knowing.
And now it’s back. Starin’ at you from the ID card of a once-unidentified murder victim who’d spent your morning destroying a plate of your favorite cornbread recipe while her physical form remained in stasis in your morgue.
Rogers.
Bein’ the daughter of the town pastor and the town witch came easy for you, just like it did all your sisters. But outside the boundaries of the Holler where everybody knew to respect Ma an’ Pastor Rogers, you knew your family’s ghosts would be all too happy to eat you right up.
Ari Levinson brings you a cup of coffee as you step outside the cold storage of your morgue, looking a bit like you’d seen a ghost and like you’d suddenly regressed to being afraid of them. Alright, Doc?
Stupid questions ought to deserve stupid answers, but you have the good sense to nod your head and busy your mouth with scalding itself on fresh-brewed water somebody whispered about coffee to. Somebody contact her next of kin? You haven’t gotten used to saying her real name, your real name, so instead you just gesture vaguely at the morgue behind you, hoping the agent will have enough sense to use context clues and get to the point.
Thankfully, he does. Family’s coming down tomorrow. Folks live in North Dakota — got no idea how their girl ended up down here. Dad kept askin’.
You tell ‘em we got no idea?
You really think my bedside manner’s that bad, Doc?
Stupid questions ought to deserve stupid answers.
You continue to have the good sense to not respond, leaving Ari Levinson looking slightly more than insulted as you pretend to have heard your office phone ringing and walk right back into the icebox.
Tumblr media
That night, the spirit formerly known as Jane Doe #117 comes with a friend. John Doe #43 is… less pleasant lookin’ than the girl whose ID he had hidden inside his flayed jaw, eyeless face staring at you from your kitchen window and tapping on the glass to be let in.
You don’t. Victims of violence like that come with haints attached to ‘em and you’re not about to invite that into your home. The offering of cornbread is left on your back porch instead, with a light left on so he wouldn’t get lost on his way to a meal that didn’t consist of Cliff bars and spinach tortellini. It doesn’t stop his knocking though, insistin’ that your presence alone is enough reason to get in here. That the door is only a few steps away.
As if you’ll risk getting hurt by this ghost who probably won’t even remember attacking you.
Maybe he’s the one that attacked her, maybe he never even saw her, maybe he just wants the same comfort she must’ve craved during her final minutes on this Earth, or maybe he’s just a figment of your imagination as you ruminate on why the idea of a dead girl sharin’ your old last name — not an uncommon last name either, owned by more than a hundred thousand people in the country alone — bothers you so goddamn much.
Whatever the case, you won’t open the door for him, not now. Not ever. You just keep your charms on you when you step outside and feed the goat before lockin’ up the house and going upstairs to go to bed, biddin’ them both goodnight and, We’ll do our best.
The knock on your front door comes not long after midnight, loud enough it echoes all the way to your bedroom, persistent and steady as a drum.
And when you don’t respond at first, it keeps right on banging on the damn thing until you’re convinced you’ll soon see a fist makin’ a dent through that thin wood as the sound becomes a steady pounding.
Doc! Doc, it’s Ari, you gotta let me in.
You’ve heard of haints makin’ mimics of voices, memories, an’ hell, even whole faces of both the living and the dead, so you know better than to fling that door wide open and let him in to see you in your nightclothes before he’s ever even bought you a damn dinner, but that tone of voice he bears chills you to the bone somehow.
Doc, I know you’re in there, you gotta—
Prove it’s you.
What?
You heard me. Tell me somethin’ only Ari Levinson would know I know about him.
Oh c’mon, Doc. I don’t fuckin’ know. Do you even know my birthday?
Okay, so he’s got a point. You don’t admit that.
Fine, fine. What’s the hurry, couldn’t this have waited ‘til tomorrow?
Ari Levinson looks half-wild as you let him in, glancing outside briefly to see the flayed figure of your most recent unwanted visitor still seated mutely on the porch, cornbread rotted to dust and Goatrude holding him at bay. The Agent either doesn’t notice or doesn’t care, eyes fixed on you instead, You got a gun?
Got a gu— the hell sorta shit are you up to, Levinson?!
His lips curl back from his teeth in a sort of grimace before he turns, glancing out your front windows and then back at you, You know you have a skinless corpse on your porch?
Oh, so he noticed.
I’ve been trynna ignore it. That’s besides the point, the fuck are you doing out here and why do I need a gun?!
Personal protection, why else? There’s two dead bodies less than ten miles out from your property, Doc, or did you not notice?
The point. You need him to get to the point, and you might actually kill him if he doesn’t, arms crossed over your chest and trying not to let your scowl get too deep. Please don’t tell me you came all the way over to my house just to tell me to use protection.
No, it’s cuz I figured out how to measure distances, he retorts, before… drawing himself up to his full height and letting his jaw set properly, Fine. You gotta promise not to say I’m crazy first though.
Not crazy, says the crazy motherfucker bangin’ on my front door at one in the goddamn morning. You take in the seriousness of his glare for a moment, processing how many times you’ve actually seen him be serious before, Fine. Fine, I got a skinless guy on my porch anyway. Nothin’s gonna beat that.
Famous last words, you know, as you head to your kitchen to start up coffee. There’s no sleep to be had for you tonight.
Tumblr media
So you’re tellin’ me you’re the one who found this morning’s corpse?
You watch him, stirring about three tablespoons worth of honey into your coffee in a vain attempt to use the added sugar in your caffeine to stay awake, watch the way his eyes glance askance like he could hide the gears turning in his head, coming up with an excuse for his confession that doesn’t sound as insane as he feels.
You got no idea, you almost tell him, but it’s almost funnier to watch him sweat.
I was investigating a hunch on… the girl, he’s as used to calling her Jane Doe as you are, the name slipping from his mind.
You don’t tell him you appreciate it it.
A hunch. What, you got an informant I don’t know about?
He looks sheepish, which is new for a man you didn’t know had any concept of shame, I told you not to call me crazy, Doc.
So you did. Fine. Just go over this again for me — you went out lookin’ for clues on the Jane Doe cuz you just… thought you missed somethin’, four miles away from where they found her body?
I said I went to the crime scene, Doc. And then I walked for four miles… on a hunch.
You’re going to need more coffee.
Well. Gotta hand it to you, Levinson, you weren’t wrong on that one.
See? Told you. Found the body, but knew I wasn’t gonna be able to justify why the fuck I was out at the ass-crack of dawn, four miles away from the scene and following a hunch so…
So you just got lucky with the hikers comin’ up the way?
He nods, dragging his tongue along the inside of his cheek while he chews over what to say next, looking both thoughtful and displeased, Figured I’d be investigating the scene anyway, any bootprints I had could be explained later.
You have to hand it to him, he did think it out. You sit back, listening to him continue, go on about calling you to the scene — helps to call your partner out, you suppose — and then going back to both scenes to figure out the connection between the dead girl and the skinless meatsack.
Figured that if it worked once, it’d work for Flayed Doe over there, so I just… walked. Followed the hunch, and ended up here—
The Flayed fucker’s been here since sundown — it happens.
You eye him, watching the way he doesn’t react to your casual explanation of why there’s a skinless corpse on your front porch, measuring his words, letting coffee scald your tongue and pretending it doesn’t bother you none as you consider how much you should believe him.
Or how much of his own grave you should let him dig.
You’re pretty calm about the dead guy, Ari’s voice is halfway to an accusation, watching you right back as he processes, measures you up, weighs the way you glance past his shoulder to the thing still knocking at your window and the girl still hiding from the agent in your kitchen.
You don’t answer, not right away, grabbing the biscuit jar and half-slamming it down on the table between the two of you instead, figuring you’ll both need something to fill your bellies on top of the coffee while you so something close to talkin’ about… this place, an’ whatever  the hell it’s doin’.
You’re not the only one telling lies, Levinson.

Peace of Mind
We are living in a world where things are constantly changing around us, getting in our way, keeping our minds on the move, bringing much uncertainty, guessing, anxiety, stress, and pressure in our already full worlds- a true picture of chaos. We find ourselves always jumping from one thing to another, feeling like you are burning the candle at both ends.
Yet, at the same time, everyone around us is searching for peace of mind. That one thing that will give them a moment to take a breather, something that will take their minds away from the chaos. We are all guilty of trying to find solace in something; movies, social media, music, or people- truly believing that this is the answer. But it isn’t. Movies paint this perfect picture of what your life should look like – but there’s no such thing as perfect! Social media and influencers set standards that they themselves can’t reach. And people, as much as they want the best for us, are struggling with these same things and sadly can’t be fully relied on. Do these things bring more disturbance in our world than actually help? Things that disturb our minds disturb our bodies which ends up disturbing the way we function, and our motivation and drive – until we have stopped living our lives.
But the beauty of God is that He is peace itself, the true source you can rely on. The peace that comes from God is a never-ending supply – that you don’t need to earn, it’s not something we have to work for or be worthy of, but something that is just there for us to take, have, and keep. Are you willing to take it? God is waiting for your transaction with Him. All He wants for you is to trust Him and just let go of your anxiety and stress and hold onto peace.
Jesus said:
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30
Come to him as you are, he doesn’t add any conditions and there’s no burden you can’t share with him.
Are there any burdens you’re carrying today that you could share with Jesus?

What happens when you have two people each trying to focus on their own personal needs and happiness, is an endless cycle of frustration. Neither will find what they are longing for because they are self-seeking, which is the opposite of God’s love.
In covenant relationship it takes just one of the two to be following in the footsteps of Jesus, and loving as He has loved us, to make all the difference. But if both are seeking first how to please the Lord and their spouse as God teaches us to do there is no room for self-seeking, so the fruit of that is having a fullness of heart that no human can take away.
It has been my personal observation that what causes many marriages to succeed is when even that “one” consistently lays their life down in spite of the possibility that the other person may never do the same.
Trying to to change someone else will never work. Giving ultimatums will never work either because you can’t force someone to die to self and put you first. That is a fruit - and if you try to manipulate them to do that, then you’re putting yourself first anyway - so it will always backfire. Only God’s ways of loving will ever work.
The “you do you” and “self care” quotes and philosophies going around have been so damaging to marriages and all relationships because they go completely against what God teaches and are completely the opposite of His heart.
I have to agree with Fenelon, who said; “That love of self, which the world advocates, is a thousand times more dangerous than any poison.” Focusing on ourselves brings nothing but frustration and loneliness.
God teaches us from the beginning of the Bible to the end that the way up is down, the way to be filled is to empty ourselves, the way to greatness is smallness, the way to life is death and the way to receive is to give.
The enemy of our soul has us in search of filling our own cisterns so that we miss out on the overflowing cistern that God has given us. When Jesus told us to love others as we love ourselves, he in doing so clarified that we do love ourselves already because He said we nourish and feed ourselves - which we would not do if we did not already love ourselves.
To love others as you love ourselves is to put ourselves in their shoes and try to find out what makes them feel loved instead of trying to force them to make us feel loved. When Jesus taught us to lay down our lives he wasn’t just talking about physically dying for our friends - He was talking about laying down our “self” life - making their needs more important than our own and all that goes with that.
God taught us to love this way because it’s the way that works - it’s how He designed our hearts to work. He knows what happens inside of us when we are able to lay our life down - that denying ourselves will bring us true life and true fulfillment.
We just have to trust Him and pray for Him to change our mind and hearts to be like His and to perfect His love in us. And when we fall into self-pity because we don’t feel loved, we can pray for Him to show us the picture in our heart of what His love looks like - and that love will chase away all fear and selfishness and helps us to forget about ourselves. ✝️💘📖⚔️

(The only reason I did not put any fic specific asks for this is because you have so many that I fucking adore that I can't even begin to pick out which ones to ask about 😳 perhaps tomorrow I will send another ask because my god do I love hearing from authors about their fics)
How old were you when you first starting writing fanfiction?
I almost feel like a late bloomer, but eighteen, tbh. I only really entered "fandom" spaces in college and it spiraled from there.
5. If you had to choose a favourite out of all of your multi chaptered stories, which would it be and why?
Shoot, that's hard....I think I'd choose The Nature Of The Wind, one of my stories from the TMNT fandom, because it still gets so much love and I'm proud of the darkness I explored there.
7. When is your preferred time to write?
Whenever the spirit moves me! Seriously, I prefer to be well rested, but I've written up a storm in the dead of night, too.
8. Where do you take your inspiration from?
A whole lot of places...great fic authors (like a certain someone who sent me this ask), books I've read, stories, personal experience, family stories, art. I've been known to pillage the Bible from time to time, and Greek mythology, too. It all just melts together into a bubbling witch's brew and I fish out (what I hope are) the best bits for my writing.
12. Who is your favourite character to write for? Why?
Depends on the fandom...for TMNT it's Leonardo, because I love his tortured leader aesthetic and the sheer amount of trauma he puts up with is really fun. For DC it's Damian, because I have a soft spot for angsty baby murderers trying to be better.
For Avatar I'd think recom Jake, because he's such a perfect Frankenstein's monster of hunger and cruelty and pain and power. With Spider being a close second, because I love this boy and I love fucking him up.
17. Post a line from a WIP that you’re working on.
It’s insane. She’s insane. Her very existence is a mark of insanity, always has been and always will be. If she thinks too hard about what she wants to do, it will overwhelm her, and the fire and water are both getting closer. There is no time, no time.
18. Do you have any abandoned WIP’s? What made you abandon them?
God, so many....I've got a whole doc for dead Avatar WIPS and more TMNT WIPs than I can count. Usually they just--weren't working? It felt too familiar, sometimes, or just wrong, or it wasn't as fun to write as I'd hoped, and being fun to write usually means fun to read (I think).
21. Tell me about another writer(s) who you admire? What is it about them that you admire?
Well, tbh...there's this one writer who writes the most amazing, vivid, wild and fractured and lovely stories, and who writes some pretty spectacular comments, and sends me some great asks to boot! Their name might be familiar.
27. Do you make a general outline for your stories or do you just go with the flow?
I'm a go-with-the-flow little bastard (gender neutral) and I probably always will be.
33. What’s the biggest compliment you’ve gotten?
Someone told me they hoped I kept writing, both in fanfiction and in general, because I was really something, and I don't know, that just stuck with me? I want to believe it's true.
36. Can you give us a spoiler for one of your WIP’s?
Mommy-and-me assassination attempts.
37. What’s the funniest story you’ve written?
I wrote a nsfw story once about characters fucking while they watched the Kevin McCarthy debacle and I still think I should have gotten an award for it or something. It's you're gonna need congressional approval and you don't have the votes (it's not Hamilton fanfiction I stg, I just couldn't resist the title).
41. What’s your favourite minor character you’ve written?
Honestly changes depending on who I'm writing, heh, but right now it's definitely Sylwanin te Tskaha Mo'at'ite. She deserves so much more love and attention and I miss her even though she was technically never on screen.
44. What is the last line you wrote?
It helps that if they do look at her, all they see is her baby, that they think mother and not threat. It helps that no one bothers to consider how easily the two can overlap.
45. What spurs you on during the writing process?
The high, maybe? The fact that writing feels good and getting comments feels good and I like being able to get these thoughts out of my head and share them with so many great people.
48. What’s your favourite trope to write?
Not sure if angst/abuse/trauma/violation dressing itself up as soft fluff counts as a trope, but if it is, it fucking wins hands down. I love it when the horrors try to pretend not to be horrors and never quite get there.
49) Can you remember the first fic you read? What was it about?
A TMNT OT4 turtlecest future fic with immortality, bondage, and the apocalypse. It's called Casting Stones at the River by GoblinCatKC and I still love it so fucking much.

The Prime of His Youth: Prime of His Youth: Book I: Forging His Own Path: Ch21: Family Dinner
"What an audacious city." Sirenia stated, as they saw the lights of Vegas striking against the dark of the night.
"It reminds me of what Cybertron used to be like." Arcee stated. Sirenia started to fall behind, "You alright?"
"It's just... I realize that I've gotten used to the brilliant night. Every city was like this, scratching away at the deep night. But here, light comes on it's own. From the stars. The night even more beautiful for it."
"Beautiful." Jack stated, and Sirenia listed off to the side before righting herself.
"Keep that up, Jack, and you won't have any choice."
"Hm?" Jack asked, and Arcee just tsked in reply.
"Sirenia, when you stop swooning, can you call Knockout?"
It took Sirenia a moment to snap back to it, "Of course, mistress."
* * *
Jack climbed off of Arcee as Sirenia's feet landed behind them. Knockout walked out of the building, "I haven't seen you guys forever!" he shouted, "Did you miss me that much?" he asked Arcee. She looked to Jack.
Jack breathed in deeply to steel himself, "Oh, um, everyone thinks I should have a badass longcoat?" Jack nervously asked.
Knockout looked him up and down as he thought it over, "You know what? Absolutely. Maybe some pants to go with it. No offence." he said, pointing up and down Jack's body, "But we can defnitely do better. Okay, maybe a little offence."
Jack breathed in deeply, "Thank you."
* * *
Jack rode on Sirenia as they followed Arcee below them. "How are you?" he asked, and it took he a moment to answer.
"I'm sorry, but what?" Sirenia asked.
"How are you?" Jack asked. "Are you happy here?"
"OVERJOYED!" Sirenia replied. "Sorry, but to be able to work under a Prime?"
Jack shyly tried to look away, though this was difficult, as he was inside her. "How about everything else?"
"I am still having trouble with the workflow here." she said.
"Is it hard on you?" Jack asked.
"We're not used to taking so much of the day off." Sirenia stated. "There is a reason I have not complained." she said gleefully.
"I am glad you're happy." he said to her, "It's my first time being in charge."
"We both know that's not true." she gleefully added.
"Tsk." Arcee stated, "There's only been one person who cared so much about those under him." She let the thought hang in the air, as everyone understood the implication.
"If you wanted anything, what would it be?" Jack asked.
"Books!" she quickly stated. "I am intruiged by them. They are as old as Human society. They have knowledge you consider ancient. Untold generations..."
"The Bible actually counts them." Jack stated, "I could never get through that part."
"Pardon, but they count their generations?" Sirenia asked.
"From Adam to Noah." Jack stated, "I think."
"And who was?.."
"According to the Bible, the first Human." Jack simply stated.
"You have records of your first Human?!" Arcee asked.
"If you believe it." Jack stated, "But there's also the Epic of Gilgamesh, which might be the first written story."
"What is it about?" Sirenia asked.
"I've... never actually read it..." Jack voiced.
"Any other ancient stories?" Sirenia asked, and Jack's eyes grew wide.
"I'm really not the one to ask about this." he stated. "Maybe we just need to get you access to the internet."
"Is that what June was using to look up Cinncinati?" Sirenia asked.
"Is that related to Cinncinatus?" Arcee asked.
"A city named after him." Sirenia stated.
"On her phone?" Jack asked.
"Yes." Sirenia replied.
"Then, yeah." Jack stated. "We could probably get a family plan."
Sirenia paused for a moment, "I'm sorry, but that implies you don't have one?"
"I have?" Jack asked, and paused, "Like, the mininum. I sometimes use it to check my e-mail."
"You have a worldwide information network with data going back to the very start of your civilization, and... you don't use it?"
"People have become too obsessed with always being online." Jack stated.
"I've been here a few years, and I don't use it, either." Arcee stated.
Sirenia let out an exacerbated sigh, "Yes, if I have one wish it would be to have access to this internet."
"You could probably tie it into the com link, like we did with the cellphones." Arcee simply stated.
"Ratchet was the one that did that." Jack said. "I'll talk to mom and get us a family plan. Drop me off, I'll ride Arcee the rest of the way." Arcee could be seen swerving beneath them. "You head to Alden and have Ratchet set you up."
"Understood." Sirenia stated, and started to descend.
* * *
Jack climbed out of the landed Sirenia. She was waiting for him to get a few yards away, when he turned back to her, pulling back his helmet. "Transform." he said, and she did, standing above him, looking down at him with curiosity. "Kneel." he said, and she did. He moved in and kissed her on the cheek. He pulled away, looking her in the eyes, "It's good to have you with us."
"Kind of like having the old gang," Arcee stated, "Just with less blaster battles and warcrimes."
Sirenia looked worried, until Jack spoke to her, "She's serious. After everything we had been through together, I think of them like family."
"Even Ultra Magnus?" Arcee asked, and Jack sighed.
"Like a distant uncle you don't want to spend time with?" Jack asked. "Watching him pull apart the Wreckers wasn't fun." Jack then turned to Sirenia, "Have fun." he said to her.
* * *
"You're being nice to her." Arcee stated.
"Of course I am." Jack replied.
"I mean, you're no longer keeping her at arms length." Arcee stated, and Jack wasn't sure what to say, "Do what you want with her, by remember I'm your sparkmate."
"Of course you are." Jack said to her. "I don't know what I would do without you."
"You would survive without any problems. I've seen how good you are, Jack."
"That's not what I meant..." Jack stated.
"I know... And I don't want to..." she voiced, and trailed off. Jack let go of her right handlebar and pet what would be the gas tank in front of him.
* * *
Jack was coming home. June wanted to do something nice for him. It had only been a couple of days, but to her it felt like a lifetime. Maybe she'll cook lasagna. It was always his favourite meal. She wanted to do something for Arcee and Sirenia too, but couldn't exactly cook for them. She couldn't even iron their clothes. They had no need for anything other than Energon, and she couldn't even heat it up. Could she? Did the temperature they take Energon matter. Arcee hasn't shown any preference in the couple of years they had been living together. The only time they worried about the heat is when they went to the Arctic. Maybe she could dress up. That is if she had any nice clothes that weren't scandalously small. They probably wouldn't appreciate party hats, and definitely couldn't appreciate a cake.
* * *
Arcee opened the garage door and Jack stepped inside. "Mom?!" Jack asked, "We're home!" Jack and Arcee ducked into the garage, and Jack went over to flop onto the couch. A moment later the door to the house opened up, and his mother stepped out in sensible heels and her little black dress. Jack was stunned for a moment before he could speak, "Uh, what's the special occation?"
"Oh, just my family coming back." she said, "I wanted to do something nice for you." She looked about the garage and then out the open garage door, "Where's Sirenia?" she asked.
"Stopping over at Alden." Jack stated, "She wants access to the internet."
"So, you're finally going to get the family plan?" June chided him.
"Me?" Jack asked. "No." he said.
"Well, you are my Jack." June said sweetly. "I'll keep the food warm until she comes back." She turned to step back in the house.
"You look good." Jack said to her, and she paused.
"I'm not as young as I used to be." June shyly said.
"No." Arcee stated, "You look good."
"Thank you, Arcee." June happily said to her.
* * *
The thumping of a helicopter's rotors could be heard, and a minute later Sirenia landed in the driveway. She then ducked into the garage.
"Can you close it?" Jack asked, and she quickly did so. Jack let out a sigh of relief. Sirenia turned and saw a table in the middle of the garage. She gave Jack a questioning look. "Family dinner?" Jack asked.
"But, I am a..." Sirenia tried to say, as June appeared carrying the casserole pan, putting it on the table. Already there was a table setting for two, but also a pair of what looked like large, metallic glasses filled with Energon.
"This is sweet, June." Arcee said to her, "But we haven't use anywhere near this much Energon."
"You haven't?" June asked.
"Energon is much more efficient form of energy storage." Sirenia stated. "Unless we're low on Energon, this much will last us a month."
"But, like I said, it was sweet." Arcee said, "And we can sip on it to top ourselves up." June blushed and looked away. "Don't worry, we appreciate it."
"I would like to remind everyone that I'm a servant?" Sirenia asked.
"Maybe on paper, but it's easier to treat you like a family." June said, as she moved over to sit down. Jack stood up and sat around the corner from her. "I've always wanted a daughter."
Arcee leaned down beside the table, with Sirenia moving to copy her.
"Yeah, well, Jack's already spanking me." Arcee sarcastically said, causing June to cough out loud.
"You're the daughter-in-law." Jack stated.
"Right." Arcee said with wide eyes, and then nervously looked down.
"I'm so happy to see you." June uttered. "It's so good to see you home."
"It's good to be home." Jack stated.
"Hence why he closed the garage door right away." Arcee stated.
"It's just to get home and away from everything." Jack stated.
"So, how was Cybertron?" June asked.
"You could also see how beautiful it once was." Jack stated.
"It took aeons to get Cybertron to where it was before the war." Arcee stated. He reached over to grab her hand. The two look into each other's eyes and smiled.
June then turned to Sirenia, "Wait, me?" she asked.
"Did you enjoy the trip?" June asked.
"I got to carry Jack in the skies over Cybertron!" she exclaimed.

Hanging On By A Thread (Part 1)
Have you ever experienced something in life that was so bad you wanted to completely abandon your faith? I have quite a few times. I’m not ready to give the details of what lead me to that mental space, but I do want you to know, Reader, that you’re not alone in that regard.
I find a lot of comfort reading Job when things get particularly bleak. A lot of times we think bad things happen to us because we did something to deserve it or cause it, and while sometimes this may be the case, this isn’t always true. Job lost everything; he lost his family, his livestock, his house, and his health! All he had left was his life, and even that was hanging on by a thread, contingent on two things, either him taking his own life, or cursing God and dying that way, both which he remarkably refused to do.
In Job Chapter 1, we see that Job is described as a man “blameless and upright, one who feared God and turned away from evil.” (Job 1:1). This is our first look into the life of Job, and it’s important to note how the story starts, that he did nothing wrong. What the man is about to experience is not a result of anything he has or hasn’t done; in spite of what his friends say, there is no secret evil he committed. However, it’s also not random chaos happening to him. While it wasn’t a punishment from God, it also wasn’t caused by God, but rather allowed by God. Let’s keep reading.
Back in those days a man’s wealth was seen in his possessions, but instead of yachts and mansions, it was livestock and servants! It says that Job had “seven thousand sheep, three thousand camels, five hundred yoke of oxen, five hundred donkeys, and very many servants; so that this man was the greatest of all the people of the east.” (Job 1:3). Even if these numbers are being exaggerated, the point of the matter is, Job was very wealthy and was at the very top of his world. Perhaps a modern example of his wealth would be someone like Jeff Bezos or Mark Zuckerberg. I will go so far to say though that that is where their similarities begin and end, because the more we learn about Job, not only was he wealthy, he was righteous and blameless in all that we did. I wouldn’t say the same about Mr. Jeffrey or Mr. Mark.
Another sign of wealth and prosperity was the number of children someone had. To be childless was considered a curse, and it says here that Job had ten children, seven sons and three daughters! (Job 1:2). For Job, though, his children were more than just a possession or a sign of his prosperity; to read the text in its entirety reveals that Job genuinely loved his children. According to verse 4, his sons would hold elaborate feasts in their homes and would "invite their three sisters to eat and drink with them" (Job 1:4). Once the feast days came to an end, verse five says "Job would send and sanctify them, and he would rise early in the morning and offer burnt offerings according to the number of them all" (Job 1:5). Job always did this (1:5), because he wanted to make sure his children were redeemed in case they "sinned, and cursed God in their hearts" (Job 1:5). The fact that the Bible makes it a point to mention this about Job's actions is a strong testament to his righteousness, but also his love for his children. As a matter of fact, later on in the book after Job lost everything, he laments his children; "O that I were as in the months of old...When the Almighty was still with me, when my children were around me" (Job 29:2, 5). These details in the text, which are easy to just gloss over at first glance, set Job apart from most people in this time because he clearly loved his kids and was always looking out for their best interest.
It wasn't just the people in his land that saw and respected what a righteous man he was. As a matter of fact, God took note of it too! Verse six changes the scene from earth to heaven. Here we are introduced to God and his angels. It appears that God is essentially "holding court;" "One day the heavenly beings came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan (the Accuser) also came with them." (Job 1:6). Keep in mind that Satan is also called “the Accuser” in this story. God asks Satan where he came from, to which Satan replies, “from going to and fro on the earth, and from walking up and down on it.” (Job 1:7). God then asks Satan if he took note of Job; “Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man who fears God and turns away from evil.” (Job 1:8). This further drives home that Job was a good man who did nothing wrong. This part of the story always bothered me, as well, because it seems like God is unnecessarily challenging Satan, especially when we read Satan’s response. Satan says, “Does Job fear God for nothing? Have you not put a fence around him and his house and all that he has, on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land.” (Job 1:9, 10). Satan is winding up his reasoning to challenge God. Next he says, “But stretch out your hand now, and touch all that he has, and he will curse you to your face.” (Job 1:11). Satan is basically saying, “Ok God, I see your Job, you say that he is righteous and good, sure, he is. But don’t you think it’s only because you have blessed him and he is so prosperous? I guarantee you that if you take all his prosperity away, he will not remain faithful to you!” God responds with, “Very well, all that he has is in your power; only do not stretch out your hand against him!” (Job 1:12).
After gaining God’s permission, Satan returns to the earth to reek havoc on everything Job has. First the Sabeans stole all of the oxen and donkeys and killed all the servants, except for one who was able to escape and tell Job what had happened. Next, "The fire of God fell from heaven and burned up the sheep and the servants, and consumed them" (Job 1:16). One man escaped to bring the news to Job, but before he had finished talking another messenger arrived with a worse message; "The Chaldeans formed three columns, made a raid on the camels and carried them off, and killed the servants..." (Job 1:17). Finally a messenger appears with the worst news of all; while Job's children were enjoying a feast at his eldest son's house, "a great wind came across the desert, struck the four corners of the house, and it fell on the young people, and they are all dead..." (Job 1:19).
After receiving this news, Job began the process of grieving. It says he "tore his robe, shaved his head, and fell on the ground and worshiped." (Job 1:20). This is all he had to say after losing everything; "Naked I came from my mother's womb, and naked shall I return there; the Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord." (Job 1:21).
"In all this Job did not sin or charge God with wrongdoing." (Job 1:22).
This concludes part 1. Part 2 will be arriving soon!

Ezekiel 33:1-34:31, Hebrews 13:1-25, Psalm 115:1-18, Proverbs 27:21-22
Today is the 16th day of November, welcome to the Daily Audio Bible. I am Brian. It is wonderful to be here with you today, like every day here, taking the next step forward together and continuing the journey through the Scriptures. We are deep into the book of Ezekiel; well, we are deep into the book of Hebrews as well. But we’ll be continuing through both of those today. We’re reading from the Common English Bible this week. Today Ezekiel chapters 33 and 34.
Commentary:
Okay, so, today we finished the…the book known as Hebrews, which is this amazing vision of the gospel from a Hebrew perspective, tying the gospel to the Hebrew story. And as we ended we were told to remember those who brought the good news of the gospel to us in the first place. Try to remember them, imitate their faith. That was necessary then, obviously that's still something that we should do today as we have our mentors and those that we look up to. We were also told to watch out for strange teachings and instead of like going into all of the specifics of the different teachings because there were many, and there still are, the writer of Hebrews kept this in a completely Hebrew perspective and context. Yes, there are strange teachings. The true gospel is the one in which all the prophecies are fulfilled, and this was accomplished through one person and that person is Jesus. So, like, to illustrate this Hebrew centric perspective, let’s just read a couple versus. The blood of the animals is carried into the holy of holies by the high priest as an offering for sin and their bodies are burned outside the camp. And so, Jesus also suffered outside the city gate to make the people holy with His own blood. Like, if you’re pagan that doesn't really matter or make any sense. But from a Hebrew perspective, it does. For Hebrew believers who were suffering this marginalization and persecution, this parallel would've been meaningful. It would have seemed that they were walking in the footsteps of Jesus, and it should be meaningful to us too, our relationship with God may not be understood by everybody around us and isn't understood by everybody around us. And we may be mischaracterized. But we've also concluded Hebrews and so, we’re stepping forward from one of the major pieces of the New Testament. So, let’s just think back at all that we've been able to see, and we’ve learned that God has done a new thing in the world, in the world through Jesus by coming in the flesh. He instituted a new covenant, and we’re permitted to personally enter the holy of holies because of this new covenant, we can collaborate with, we can be in relationship intimately with God. And this relationship is built through faith and hope in what we can't see. Faith is the activator; it's always been the way that we experience life with God. And faith is something that has to be strengthened, it’s like a muscle. So, we have to lose whatever is slowing us down, and run the race of life with endurance. And part of that endurance is walking in the footsteps of Jesus and persevering and enduring marginalization of persecution. We can't just kinda hide in society, we have to live as light in the darkness, we have to believe that we are a part of God's family, a new family. Jesus was the firstborn. And those who are following Him are born into this family of God. Which brings us to a beautiful benediction; may the God of peace, who brought back the great Shepherd of the sheep our Lord Jesus from the dead, by the blood of the eternal covenant, equip you with every good thing to do His will, by developing in us what pleases him through Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory forever and always. Amen.
Prayer:
Father, we thank You for Your word, we thank you for every single day of all these years but every single day of this year that we have shown up together, taking the next step forward. We thank You for this milestone of moving through the book of Hebrews, as we continue forward into the ending of the year, and the ending of the Scriptures. Holy Spirit come, there's so much left for us, help us finish strong. We ask in the name of Jesus. Amen.
Prayer and Encouragements:
Hello DAB family, this is TD in Texas. I’m calling in to pray for Joe. Joe called in saying he doesn’t know what he needs as far as prayer. That’s okay Joe, because in Matthew 6:8 it is written that your Father knows what you need before you ask Him. And in Romans 8:26, in the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We don’t know what we ought to pray for but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. If everyone in the DAB family would pray with me as we pray for Joe. Our Father in Heaven, thank You for prompting Joe to call in and ask for prayer. It could not have been easy but Joe, we’re so glad you called in. Joe has been tormented throughout his life and it’s painful not to experience the love you see your siblings or others receive. But God, You have seen every painful moment in Joe’s life. And You want to heal his hurt. Joe said he was saved as a young child. Lord, help him to come back to his first love which is You, Jesus. Jesus, You have never left his side. But help Joe to come back and develop a closer relationship with You. Joe says he doesn’t have any close friends. Help him to know that we will be his family and friends. The DAB family will always be there for you Joe, praying for you in earnest. God, please be with Joe and guide him. Help him to get a closer walk with you. Help Joe to lean on his DAB family for encouragement and prayer, as he builds his relationship with you. This we ask in Jesus name. Amen. We are praying for you Joe. God bless.
Hey DAB family, this is your sister Ashley from California. And I wanted to give you an update. Yesterday, November 11th at 6am, my papa experienced his homecoming. What was really special was that I, after taking over for my brother Cody, who was up with him until about 4 o’clock in the morning. And my mom stepped out to take a break and rest for a moment. I was in there with him and I was listening to, I was listening to Brian. And what was really providential and such a God thing was that the reading from yesterday was a great, was a great dichotomy of who my papa was. How in Ezekiel, talking about the graphic nature of how God was explaining the betrayal from Samaria and from Judah. And then also, about how we can boldly go before the, Jesus, our high priest in heaven and walk right in there. That’s who my papa was. And now he is experiencing that shalom and that perfect peace because he’s there. He is in heaven now and I am rejoicing at that. And rejoicing with the hope that I have for eternity. But dang, it’s really hard with the grief here, especially after so much loss in the last few years. So, please keep my family in your prayers. And DAB family, I am so grateful for you. And I am praying alongside with you. I love you, everybody. Bye.
Father God, I come before You, lifting up prayer requests and laying them at Your feet. For Mike in South Dakota with this skin condition. Refined by His Love in Arizona for encouragement through the trials of life. For Sheena in Saskatchewan, their family is not okay. People on the Water is stressed and going through a difficult time right now. Summer Girl in Tennessee, for mental illness with her mom and all the family dynamics that are not going on and the people in the family that are not saved. Father God, turn these stubborn hearts to You and let the word of God be able to settle on. Take the scales off their eyes, their blinded eyes Lord, and let them see You and let them see Your glory. For the situation where this young couple is pregnant Lord, and they’re stressed. Give them Your peace Lord. Give them their confidence in Your power. Let hope explode within all of these people that are suffering that need encouragement that are going through trials. That are feeling unstable, and things aren’t okay. But with You, we know that You can give us fresh resolve Lord. That Your divine intervention can come in and turn things around in the blink of an eye. And that’s exactly what we’re asking for, for saving grace, for saving families with Your salvation, for healing, for the stressful situations for guidance. We give You the praise and the glory.
Hey DAB family, it’s Abba’s Daughter, Sadie M. Today is Monday, November 13th. I’m listening to the tail end of the community prayer for the week. But I wanted to come on and pray for our prayer warriors. Because they’re praying for everyone. And I just want to lift up those of us who are praying for everyone. So, the Junk to Treasure’s, the God’s Life Speaker’s, the Prisoners of Hope, all of you and so many more. That’s just a few. But all of You who are praying and just lifting everyone and every challenge to the throne. I want to lift you to the throne. I want to lift your challenges to the throne today. So, let’s go to the throne, in honor of our amazing prayers warriors here at DAB. Abba Father, thank You so much for these amazing people that You have placed in the DAB community. Thank You for their consistency, for their loyalty to us and even more importantly, their loyalty to You, Lord. They are committed, prayer warriors of Your throne, of Your mighty name, Lord. And I just ask Your blessings upon them. Your blessings upon each and every prayer warrior here at DAB. Whether they are always calling or just silent warriors, Lord. I ask Your blessing upon these amazing people. We are so grateful for the prayer warriors here at DAB, Abba Father. And we just, we just ask Your blessing upon them. May Your face shine upon them and give them peace. We’re incredibly grateful for their silent service or for their not so silent service. Amen. Thank you, prayer warriors. We deeply appreciate your service and commitment in prayer. Abba’s Daughter, Sadie M. Bye for now.

Peace an important piece of health
A healthy way of life free of conflict is what the majority of people want in their lives. However, at that point, reality enters the picture and introduces a variety of unexpected and exciting stumbling blocks.
What comes to mind when you're at peace? You might think of "quiet," "calm," "restful," "at ease," "contentment," or "harmony." Now, how do you feel when your life is chaotic? The expressions "conflict," "stressed out," "agitated," or "noise" might come to mind. Which, without a doubt, is more appealing? But when life happens, how do you get to a peaceful state?
Guided meditation, mindfulness, and deep breathing are covered in numerous books and articles. All of these have the potential to be very beneficial and offer a solid foundation. But do they bring peace that lasts? Finding true peace may require engaging in activities that lessen stress as well as something deeper, like your faith.
Reduce your stress first. Stop and take a deep breath is one of the simplest steps you can take to find peace. Deep breathing sends a message to the brain to calm down and relax. After that, signals from the brain are sent to the body to lower blood pressure, slow down your heart rate, and speed up breathing. It greatly helps to reduce stress. Check out a course in miracles.
Mindfulness, body mindfulness, profound guideline, and consideration guideline are undeniably shown in the care based pressure decrease (MBSR) program. It is evident that this has the potential to lessen stress. As a way to integrate health and healing, more than 250 medical facilities offer mindful meditation. Mindfulness meditation has been shown to improve cardiovascular health, support weight loss, improve mood and well-being, reduce anxiety, prevent sleep disturbances, manage chronic pain, and improve concentration.
Even though these stress-relieving activities can be good for your mental and physical health, they might not be enough to bring true, lasting peace.
You can truly find peace if you have faith. What recognizes harmony from stress decrease? Peace is about more than just avoiding or minimizing things that make us unhappy. It goes far beyond the absence of conflict or war. Living in a proper relationship with God, man, and both is possible in this way. It gradually shows up and goes away throughout our days. The Bible instructs us to live in peace with all men as much as possible. Genuine peace, also known as calm contentment, is characterized by love, patience, kindness, gentleness, and compassion.

IS WATCHING PORN A SIN FOR CHRISTIANS?
Tumblr media
Cheating and adultery are sins, but what if you’re not physically taking action, just simply watching it? Watching porn is taboo for public discussion, but it’s essential to understand that it’s OK to ask and seek help whether you’ve done it once or frequently because, yes, watching porn is a sin.
Why You May Ask if Watching Porn is a Sin for Christians
You may feel guilty after watching porn and wonder why. You may even ask yourself if what you are doing is bad and ask God for guidance.
Ways to notice that something might be a sin:
You aren’t sure if what you’re doing is wrong.
You have feelings of guilt and shame.
You find an excuse to continue even though you don’t feel right about it.
You hurt yourself and those you love.
You think you have an addiction because you want to stop, but you can’t.
Why Watching Porn is a Sin
Along your healing journey, it is essential to understand why watching porn is a sin. By doing so, you learn God’s true plan and how important it is to stay on the correct path.
Matt Wenger, Clinical Director at Boulder Recovery, said watching porn is a sin for many reasons, including what it does to the viewer, their partner, and society.
“It dehumanizes those depicted in it and makes it much more likely that its users will objectify others,” he said.
In addition, Matt explained that pornography “perpetuates a worldwide culture of human sexualization, in which it is acceptable to view humans as objects of sexual desire and not people.” He said this view results in things like human trafficking.
“Using porn is not a ‘victimless crime,’” he said. “Using pornography perpetuates harm against the innocent and is out of line with God’s character.”
Matt warns that watching porn can hurt your partners and damage your marriage or relationship.
“The user of porn can become emotionally unavailable to their partner (as they are numbed out in addiction), sexually disconnected, and cause deep emotional and psychological damage through the repeated betrayals of discovering the use of porn. Not to mention lying and gaslighting to cover it up,” he said.
Not only is it harmful to your partner, but Matt goes on to say that pornography use is harmful and damaging to the individual viewing it.
How watching porn can harm you:
Increased isolation from others
Leads to addiction
Inaccurate portrayal of relationships and sex
Gives you negative feelings about yourself
Degrades women or yourself
Breaking relationship agreements
Pornography and the Biblical Connection to Lust
Pornography itself isn’t mentioned anywhere in the Bible. So, Matt said, it’s most often connected to the sin of lust.
 Jesus says in Matthew 5:27:
“You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ But I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lustful intent has already committed adultery with her in his heart.”
Matt said Jesus is responding to a culture that is more concerned with the letter of the law than their hearts. Jesus is communicating that your heart matters to God, he said.
“The mistake that is often made is that Christians take Jesus’ comment on the letter of the law to make a NEW letter of the law that lust = adultery. Which, of course, it is not,” Matt explained. “Lust and adultery are serious sins, and they are not the same. But this does not let lust off the hook.”
Lust is the desire to have something that doesn’t belong to you, Matt explained. It’s a sin of the heart and a lack of trust in God.
“It’s an indication that we do not trust that God has our best in mind or knows what is best for us,” he said. “Lust is a violation of trust in God. It says, ‘not only is that thing desirable, but I want it for myself, regardless of consequence.’”
While lust and adultery aren’t the same, they’re still both sinful, Matt said.
“God wants our hearts, not just our obedience,” he said. “So we can say that pornography is a sin because it violates the character of God as someone who gives us what we need.”
On a deeper level, porn is a sin because it violates a person’s belief in God and doctrine.
“As image bearers of God (Gen 1:26), we were designed to live in relationship with God and others in this way also. Porn develops and forms (literally in the brain) a new way of relating to others that imitates intimacy without any of its true vibrance,” Matt explained. “This formation moves us further from true intimacy with ourselves and others.”
