identify your triggers
what causes you to procrastinate? is it fear of failure, perfectionism, boredom, or overwhelm? recognize your triggers so you can address them head-on.
2. break it down
big tasks can feel overwhelming, leading to procrastination. break them down into smaller, manageable steps and tackle them one at a time. progress, no matter how small, is still progress!
3. set clear goals
define specific, achievable goals for yourself and set deadlines. having a clear target to work towards will keep you focused and motivated.
4. create a game plan
plan your day ahead of time and schedule dedicated blocks for tasks. set realistic timelines and hold yourself accountable to them.
5. eliminate distractions
identify distractions in your environment and take steps to minimize them. whether it's turning off notifications, finding a quiet workspace, or using website blockers, create a conducive environment for productivity.
6. use the pomodoro technique
break your work into intervals, typically 25 minutes of focused work followed by a 5 minute break. this technique can help increase focus and productivity while preventing burnout. (this really helps me personally!)
7. practice self-compassion
be kind to yourself when you slip up. we're all human, and occasional bouts of procrastination are normal. instead of dwelling on past procrastination, focus on what you can do right now to move forward.
8. find accountability
share your goals with a friend, family member, or coworker who can help keep you accountable. having someone to check in with can provide an extra boost of motivation.
9. reward yourself
celebrate your accomplishments, no matter how small. treat yourself to something you enjoy after completing a task or reaching a milestone. positive reinforcement can help reinforce productive habits.

i tried reading today to wind down. i set a timer for 30 mins but ended up reading for an hour. it's hard to stop when it feels like more of a welcome adventure than my everyday life. 😅🙃 (not that i would actually wanna live the story, but the way it's written, it's so polished and perfect, whereas i perpetually feel like a mess... 🙃 AND i'm pretty sure it's not a tragedy - wouldn't it be nice to have guaranteed happy endings?)
(it's still really hard to not feel like i should be studying or trying to study if i try to wind down in a place other than my bed, unless it's already kind of late 🤷🏻♀️)

。ₓ ू ₒ ु finding a work-life balance ू ₒ ु ₓ。
acknowledging the significance of balancing work, personal life, and self-care is the first step toward achieving harmony in your life. understanding that each aspect plays a vital role in your overall well-being sets the stage for intentional action.
identify your most important tasks and obligations in each area of your life, whether it's work deadlines, quality time with loved ones, or self-care rituals. prioritize these responsibilities based on their significance and urgency, and allocate your time and energy accordingly.
establish clear boundaries between work and personal life to prevent burnout and maintain a healthy work-life balance. define specific work hours, designate technology-free zones, and communicate your boundaries to colleagues, friends, and family members to protect your time and energy.
embrace effective time management techniques to maximize productivity and efficiency in both work and personal life. use tools like to-do lists, calendars, and time-blocking methods to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and allocate time for self-care activities.
make self-care a non-negotiable part of your daily routine by scheduling dedicated time for activities that nourish your body, mind, and soul. whether it's exercise, meditation, hobbies, or simply relaxation, prioritize self-care as an essential investment in your overall well-being.
embrace the power of saying no to commitments, requests, and obligations that don't align with your priorities or values. prioritize your own needs and goals, and don't be afraid to decline opportunities or delegate tasks when necessary to protect your time and energy.
cultivate mindfulness in your daily life by bringing your attention to the present moment with awareness and acceptance. engage in activities like meditation, deep breathing, or mindful walking to reduce stress, increase resilience, and enhance overall well-being.

Searching for balance….Setting boundaries and sticking to them is one of them most difficult things I’d ever done on my healing journey. I’m trying to insure not to break them for noone but sometimes allowing someone to break them can feel so good but I know the bad is soon to follow from you doing exactly what you said you wouldn’t allow anyone to do…then ShaBlam!!…there it is your border is erased and you’re oozing on to the pavement filling it’s dirty cracks and crevices hoping it will at least hold all of your contents. She felt warm/safe/& smelled of shea butter but she wasn’t. The flags were there and they were painted red but I chose to ignore one or two for it felt so good but now I know better because I had time to sit and think without her in my presence. She was nice. She was beautiful. She showed me the things that I thought I needed to see. God has a very tricky way of showing you what you think you want & HE will playfully dangling it in front of you. Making you as tempted as he wants you to be but it’s up to you to realize that She is temptation. Not love not even “like” only beautiful/soft/thicc TEMPTation. She gave me something that was wonderful though, it was not what I needed. Hell it wasn’t even what I really wanted. T’was only a sneaky sneaky way to erase my borders and allow me to spill for awhile.…Still searching for balance…Thanks for reading much love & care to my healing warriors we gone be ALIRGHT! ✌🏾💖
