VERDICT - NEUVILLETTE

you’ve heard a lot of stories about the fortress of meropide growing up in fontaine.
a prison, not just underground, but underwater, hidden from everybody. a place to lock away the criminals, with barely anybody ever returning after they served their time. personally, you’ve never encountered anybody that actually went there, only a couple of imposters, posing for the media with some wild stories. and while most of these stories sounded like they were trying too hard to get people’s attention with some wild preposterous claims and grotesque details, no one could ever really disprove whatever was said.
an aura of mystery surrounded the fortress and its so-called ‘duke’, like a thick fog, and everybody who dared to enter it to find out what was on the other side would never come back to tell the tale.
who knows, you probably wouldn’t either.
because there was nothing left for you on the surface anymore. just like it was the case for so many people that you had briefly seen when you were given a small part of the fortress – your new home.
refusing to look at the man who was arguably the sole reason why you were in here in the first place, you kept looking up at the dirty ceiling above you.
could you really spend the rest of your life here? the label ‘criminal’ forever stamped on your forehead for a crime you didn’t commit?
tears welled up in your eyes as you remembered why you were in here, your chest tightening.
brother.
he seemed to notice your distress while sitting next to you, leaning his body slightly forward. “i’m afraid there’s nothing i can do,” neuvillette said, his voice sounding as apathetic as it did when he had sentenced you.
blinking rapidly to clear your vision, you shook your head. “there must be,” you answered, turning your head a little. he couldn’t just leave you here, there had to be something he can do, anything, even if it was using his position of power as a literal ‘get-out-of-jail-card’. he couldn’t just turn his back on you, could he? “i swear, i didn’t do it. i’m innocent”
the man sighed, you don’t know if it was in defeat or annoyance. “you were proclaimed guilty”
proclaimed guilty by him.
you clenched your jaw, pulling yourself up to sit upright on the bed, directly facing neuvillette now. “i thought you said you believed me”
for a long time, his belief in you was the only thing that kept you going. frankly, it was the only thing that helped you stay sane during your trial, the thing that kept you from bursting in tears as the prosecutor told some dramatic story to frame you for the heinous crime you were in for now.
crossing his arms in front of his chest, he looked down for a second, as if to gather his thoughts, carefully weighing his words in his mind. “this isn’t about what i believe in”
you had to stop your jaw from falling slack, replaying his words over and over again in your mind. not about what he believed in? was this supposed to be a bad joke? a shocked laugh escaped you. he couldn’t be serious. “you’re the chief of justice! of course it’s about what you believe in!” you tried you best to keep your voice calm, but couldn’t help but get a little heated.
“it’s about what’s factual,” he replied immediately, his tone clearly not allowing any kind of protests. his eyes narrowed as he looked at you coldly, clenching his jaw for a second. he took a breath before continuing, his voice back to a regular volume. “and all the evidence is stacked against you”
as he was talking you already shook your head in disbelief. “i’m innocent! why would i do such a horrible thing?” you reached out to him, grabbing his arm as he turned away, seemingly not wanting to see your outburst. was ist shame that was written all over his face? regret?
“tell me!” you demanded loudly, digging your fingers a little deeper into his arm in desperation. you had to stop yourself from shaking him as your voice grew unsteady and your breather grew a little flatter. “why would i kill my own family, my brother, when he’s the only person i had left?!”
it seemed like he didn‘t have an answer to that, not facing you while you looked at him, waiting for any kind of explanation.
he promised you that he believed you when you came to him with shaky knees and teary eyes, recounting the horrible accusations thrown your way.
he comforted you when you broke down crying, embracing you in one of his rare hugs unprompted while he muttered soft words into your ear, reminding you to breathe regularly.
he held you when you lashed out, angry at your brother for leaving you alone in this scary world and he held you when you fell apart later, feeling guilty for being the only one left and guilty for being angry at your brother in the first place. it wasn‘t his fault — and he certainly never wanted to leave you, you knew that.
the world was cruel and unjust.
but until now you believed that there was some sort of justice and fairness and neuvillette was the only reason you believed that.
even before you had met him you knew about him. his reputation was practically flawless — the people of fontaine spoke about him in a highly manner, a few maybe even more highly than they spoke of their archon: neuvillette was moral, just, fair, his verdicts always being the same ones that the oratrice mecanique d‘analyse cardinale would give, which made him seem infallible.
and you believed it too. until he became the reason why you believed that the kind of justice served in fontaine wasn’t true, proper justice.
until you lost hope in the only thing that helped you stay sane after you came across the cold body of your own brother.
a shiver ran over neuvillette‘s back when he heard you laugh after his long silence. quickly you let go of his arm, dropping it like it was replaced by hot coals. “i can’t believe it,” you scoffed, shaking your head in disbelief again. this had to be a joke. would he really lie to you like that when you were the most vulnerable? “you never believed me when i said i didn’t do it, did you?”
much to your dismay, he stayed quiet, only pursing his lips slightly before pressing them together into a thin line. would he really betray you like that? was he ever on your side? “answer me!”
only when hearing your desperate pleas did he look at you again with his determined eyes. “i did. i thought you had no motive” he cleared his throat, shifting slightly in his seat before crossing his legs like he always did. “as you said, i didn’t think you’d gain anything from murdering your brother”
you recognized this neutral look on his face — the very same look he always took on whenever he was in court, listening to the defender and the prosecutor and finally also delivering his verdict.
“what changed?” you clenched your jaw, anxious about his answer.
what would it be? did he let himself be swayed by the public opinion, listening to the voices booing your story out? did he trust the prosecutor's fabricated and seemingly flawless story? or were you simply not convincing enough?
“the facts changed,” he calmly stated, making you huff in disagreement.
“bullshit,” you spat, “you just found another story to believe in”
not waiting a second to retort, he leaned back slightly. “i told you, it's not about what i want to believe in, delusions aren’t what makes our justice. it’s fairness, facts,” he sighed. you don‘t know if it was in defeat or in a disappointed manner. his voice became sharper again its him putting his chin higher. “and that is what i represent”
“you‘ve convicted an innocent person,” you declared, mirroring his expression and posture.
he would leave you here to rot, by now you were sure of it. and yet to you it seemed like he didn‘t really grasp the gravity of this.
neuvillette convicted you of murder. and if this wasn‘t bad enough, he truly believed that you had it in yourself to kill your own brother, your flesh and blood.
the only person you had left.
“i don’t give the final verdict. that is out of my hands,” he claimed, clearly referring to the oratrice — the huge scale behind himself in the court‘s opera epiclese.
was he really pinning the blame on a machine, denying any kind of involvement in your current situation? like he had nothing to do with this?
wasn‘t he supposed to be independent and just? wasn‘t this why he prided himself in his position and why the people of fontaine trusted him? because their beliefs aligned?
“yet your decisions are always the same. how could you do this to me?”
instead of answering, neuvillette stood up, turning his back on you and taking a few steps towards the exit of your cell, well, dormitory.
could he really just leave like this and leave you behind? did he not feel any kind of remorse, pity, pain?
the echoing steps came to a halt a few moments after. you looked up at him again, only to realize he had already reached the exit. he had his hand on the dark wall, looking at you over his shoulder.
he couldn‘t even properly turn around to talk to you and face you after dooming you?
“i’m afraid there’s nothing i can do,” neuvillette stated in a matter-of-factly tone, “your sentence will be carried out accordingly, unless you wish to evoke your right to challenge a duelist”
so this was it? he would just go and leave you here?
“if there is nothing you wish to say to me, i’ll take my leave”
you knew neuvillette didn‘t exactly feel the way you did. he had troubles with emotions, often lacking the proper words to fully express himself and describing what was going on inside of him. and you used to pride yourself in being able to understand him regardless, possessing the ability to read him almost like an open book. you helped him navigate through the complicated world of feelings, taking your time and going at your speed.
but right now, you were second-guessing everything. was he even capable of any kind of emotion? did he just fool you all this time?
did he truly not feel any kind of remorse for what he did, for what he was doing?
you shook your head in disbelief. this had to be a joke, a sick prank someone played on you and somehow got not just the entire nation of fontaine, but also somehow managed to get neuvillette to play along. at least that‘s what you wanted to believe. “so that’s supposed ‘justice’”
neuvillette turned around, his eyebrows furrowed in confusion. “it is justice,” he stated, “it’s about facts, not fiction”
you almost burst out laughing as he said that, so convinced of the system he served in.
and truly, you once were too.
but you couldn‘t, not anymore. not after seeing how the trial against you turned into some sort of drama, like it was straight out of a book. journalists were publishing articles with grotesque headlines, bombarding you with horrendous questions that left you cringing uncomfortably.
you watched as the story the prosecutor told got more and more dramatic, pointing at you accusatory as he recounted the ‘true events‘ of the fateful night, completely ignoring whatever you said to dispute his claims. “it’s not about facts, it’s about convenience! it’s just theatrics and entertainment!” you yelled as you jumped on your feet, not being able to contain your voice any longer.
“whoever presents the story that convinces the most people will win. and the people of fontaine are so easy to be swayed,” you continued, not letting the man in front of you get a single word in, “so thirsty for some juicy drama that lets them forget about their boring lives”
you couldn‘t stop yourself from scoffing again before letting a condescending laugh escape you. “and they don’t even have the critical thinking to reflect on everything”
your trial simply proved what you just told him. your point of view, your truth, simply didn‘t matter to the prosecutor or to the public. their story seemed to convenient, something that could be right out of a criminal novel that they loved to devour so much. the headlines in the newspaper were too sensational to be considered factual, too virulent to make any person doubt it.
“the public’s opinion does not sway the sentence,” neuvillette claimed with a clenched jaw, starting to look agitated.
and it seemed like they managed to get neuvillette on their side too.
a sad smile appeared on your face. “then i guess you’re stupid too” stupid for not listening to your side, stupid to believe the prosecutor, stupid to not make a rational judgment.
too stupid to realize that your supposed motive wasn’t a motive at all.
money. why would you kill your own brother for money when the two of you never had anything to begin with? you couldn’t steal something when there wasn‘t anything in the first place. neuvillette knew that. he knew you came from nothing, he knew the two of you had nothing.
and even if it was a motive — no amount of money would ever be able to heal the wound you had sustained from losing your brother.
how could he be so stupid?
“you’re acting childish,” he stated calmly.
you were in jail and possibly would never see the light of day again. you were locked in an underwater fortress for a crime you didn‘t commit and nobody believed you.
and his worry was that you were acting childish?
“oh, i’m sorry for not being calm and collected like you after being unjustly sentenced for murdering my own brother!” you raised your voice at him again, angrily stepping closer to him. “and that by the one person that i thought actually believed me”
you had to swallow down the lump in your throat again, blinking rapidly before looking into his eyes again.
how could he do this to you? was he truly so heartless?
would he really leave you here, alone and heartbroken?
a familiar warm hand slightly caressed your cheek. “i love you,” he whispered to you, in the same loving voice he had always used with you. “but i cannot make any exceptions” he stepped back, the warmth leaving your cheek again, letting the cold creep up to you again. he looked almost hurt himself and you were almost willing to feel pity for him — maybe if he wasn’t the chief of justice. maybe if he couldn’t put a stop to all of this, “not even for you”
maybe if he had kept his promise to you.
your fingertips grazed over your cheek, longing for the warmth that neuvillette’s hand provided just a few seconds earlier. your chest tightened as you dug your teeth into your lower lip, feeling your eyes well up again. “so that’s it? you love me, but not enough to believe me? not enough to keep me safe? free?”
you clenched your fists at your sides, not noticing that he was doing exactly the same.
“this is about so much more than just you!” he exclaimed angrily, his voice practically booming off the walls, “you’re too self-centered to understand this!”
did not wanting to rot in prison after being framed for a crime really make you self-centered? was that all he thought of you now?
“it’s my duty! my promise to the people from fontaine, my promise to our archon and my promise to myself to uphold justice,” he continued his rant, his voice growing uncharacteristically theatrical.
was he really just a part of the theatrics of fontaine‘s supposed just court? was his equitable self just a ruse, an act he put on to fit in?
did you ever really know him?
“what about your promise to me?” your voice wasn‘t much more than a whisper as you spoke, looking up at him. not that you‘d be able to actually see him with how blurry your vision got from the tears in your eyes.
as childish and naive as it was, you couldn‘t help but wish for him to remember.
it was a late summer night, the first evening where you could finally go out. the past days it had rained with seemingly no end in sight and now you felt like you could finally breathe again.
you had been strolling around the city without any real goal, simply admiring how many people enjoyed the summer warmth after so many cold and wet days.
neuvillette‘s hand was entangled with yours, the two of you walking in silence, simply enjoying each other‘s company. you had been seeing each other for a while now and yet it was still early enough for you to feel slightly nervous whenever you were near him, stomach turning and feeling butterflies when you held hands, hugged or kissed.
it was on that day when he pulled you close to the fountain of lucine, wrapping his arms around you as the two of you spend some time listening to the ambience — the water running, the pigeons and other birds chirping and the few people talking around you, some whispering wishes to the fountain, some gleefully joking with each other.
most people had already left when he turned you around to face him, letting go of your waist to grab your hands, pressing a kiss on your knuckles before he spoke.
it was the first time that he told you that he loved you, finally revealing just how much he cared for you and cherished you. how he would do everything in his power to protect you, how he would always believe you and how he would always stay by your side.
how even when everybody turned their back on you, you would always have him.
and yet here you were now.
you didn’t know what you would prefer — him forgetting about that day or him remembering, but simply not caring enough to act on it.
like everything he had told you — promised you — has been a lie.
clenching his jaw, neuvillette turned around again.
no.
blinking away your tears you weakly called out his name, a part of you still expecting him to turn around.
don‘t go.
you hoped for a miracle, a change of heart. you wanted him to rush to you, to comfort you, to love you again.
maybe then everything would turn out to be okay again.
you stumbled, the back of your knees hitting the chair he had been sitting earlier, falling onto it.
don‘t leave me.
you still hoped that everything was just a big mistake.
you called out to him again, fighting against the tears that kept welling up in your eyes, leaving neuvillette‘s figure in front of you all blurred again. “what about that? why can you betray me like that, but not them?”
“i’m sorry” and with that he left, not even sparing you a single glance on his way out, as you pulled your knees up, hugging them while the tears began to roll over your cheek again.

The Technical Analyst and the Boy Genius: Spencer x Reader
Summary: You finally get your dream job working as a technical analyst for the BAU, but one team member isn't happy you're there. Warnings: Angst, talk of death, guns, shootings, stomach wounds

Five years. It took you five years to make it where you are today. Five years of no sleep, constant anxiety and a need to get where you want to be.
You worked your butt off in school to get your many degrees, but your hidden passion was computer work. Getting into the many cracks that was hidden and searching for answers or for what was in the unknown. It was what made you so useful to the FBI.
Throughout your five years of working for the FBI, you had been with multiple units as a technical analyst, helping your coworkers save the day on different missions. It brought you more joy than you would have thought it did when you stepped into the FBI building all those years ago.
Within that time, you've joined your teams on and off the field helping, and you struggled with what you liked better, field work or office work. Either way, you were helping. So, when you got the offer to transfer to the FBI's BAU, though you were sad to leave your team, you jumped at the chance to work with the group that was your end goal. And that was because of one person.
Penelope.
You both had only met a handful of times, your schedules always opposite of each other and your work bringing you to different locations didn't help either. But she was your mentor and her word was gospel. It had started your first year at the FBI, you had hacked into her computers just for fun and since then you were best friends. And now you were finally getting to work right were you wanted to be.
"Oh my god, oh my god, it's you! It's really you!" Penn gasped out once she saw you make your way through the double doors of the BAU's bull pen. She squished you into a hug, disregarding the fact you had a huge box in your hand.
You laughed in her embrace and your free hand circled her back. "I know it feels like a dream!"
You stood there chatting for a second before a smooth masculine voice came from behind Penn. "I heard we were getting a new partner in crime, I didn't think she'd be this beautiful." He stopped besides Penelope before saying to her, "Not as beautiful as you, baby girl."
You smiled at the exchange between the two. You had done your research on the team, Penn suppling you with random lists she made of each member to help you get to know them better. "You must be Derek Morgan, it's a pleasure to meet you." You said, stretching out your one good hand to shake.
"You know me?" Derek chuckled, as he shook your hand.
"I've done my research." You winked at him before laughing.
"See, she'll fit right in." Penn said before grabbing your hand and introducing you to everyone.
--
Two weeks had flown by since you started working besides Penn. It was awkward at first getting to know the team and how each one worked, but you didn't mind. It was the awkward bits that made it fun. You had managed to nail down how everyone worked and what they expected, except for Spencer. He was upset at you randomly, bickering at the things you said or just wanting the news from Penelope. Rossi told you it was because he didn't like change, and not to take it personally. But as the days went by, it was starting to, not matter how hard you were telling yourself to power through.
It wasn't until a case that required you specifically was when he started acting differently.
It was a strange case, the UnSub would implant a virus into large computer server farms, where he would kill his victims by using flashing lights and noises through their computers to send them into a deathly seizure. The only way to rid this virus was to remove the discs that were implanted in person while also blocking it remotely from getting to people. It was a two-person job, and Hotch decided it was best to fly you out with them since you were cleared for field work.
Spencer wasn't thrilled and he made it known, Hotch sending him looks to shut him up when he started. You didn't mind when he wasn't besides you, you could ignore it like you used to when you had similar thoughts from people on your old teams, but when Hotch paired you two together with Derek that's when it started to annoy you and it just got worse as the day went on.
"Do you ever shut up?" You asked him that night at the police station. Everyone was trying to figure where the UnSub would strike next, but all Spencer could do was dismiss everything you'd say.
The room grew silent when you finally snapped. Derek and Emily biting their lips to stop from smiling because you finally stuck up for yourself.
"I don't care if you're a genius. You don't know computers like I do. If I were the UnSub, I would strike here. It's a huge server farm with plenty of rooms full of servers to sneak this virus in. He's gone with all smaller farms before and has been building his way up. He's cocky, and he isn't going to stop until he hits the biggest farms." Spencer stood quiet, watching you as you took a deep breath in before you tilted your head at him. "Oh, and did I forget to mention, I have several degrees in Psychology and Criminal Justice along with degrees in almost every field on computer work?"
The room broke out into chuckles, Spencer remaining silent. Rossi gave you a pat on the back with a small wink. "I think you finally broke him. Good job."
The next day, you were once again paired up with Spencer, this time alone. He was quiet as you drove and didn't say a word until you were at the farm when he grabbed you and whispered to be quiet.
You looked at him shocked, he wasn't one for physical touch, especially to new people and you knew it wouldn't happen with you with how much he disliked you. He pointed at the hallway that upon inspection had droplets of blood going down it. Spencer drew his weapon and stepped in front of you as you both headed down the hall to find a security guard leaning against the wall bleeding from several gunshot wounds.
Spencer called for an ambulance and back up before saying, "I'm Doctor Reid with the FBI, what happened?""
The man struggled to sit up so he could talk. You helped him up, pressing your sweater against his wounds. "A man came in, shot me and headed to our main server room. I tried to lock down the doors before he could get in, but he shot the control booth and shot me again."
You looked up at the control panel in the small room next to you. Spencer replaced your hands on the man's stomach and nodded for you to take a look. The panel was beyond fixing, the only way into the server room was to unlock it by hacking into the lock on the door. You looked back Spencer who was holding the man up as he reassured him help was on the way.
"The only way to open the room is accessing the panel box on the door. We're going to have get to the main room." Spencer nodded and helped looked at the security guard next to him.
"Tell me how to do it, you stay here with him."
"It's not something you can just figure out, it's something I need to do."
"No, Y/L/N. It's too dangerous, you're just an office worker."
You sent him an annoyed look. "I'm more qualified than you think I am."
"You may think you're qualified, but they didn't give you a gun. So, tell me what to do."
You looked at him and sighed. There was no way he could unlock the access panel in time to stop the UnSub and arguing back and forth was stalling you both. You could either give him the information and hope he figures it out or break away from Spencer and do it yourself.
In no way did you want credit or glory in taking down an UnSub, you just wanted to stop him. You didn't want him to take more lives than he already had, and this server farm was huge, and he could easily kill hundreds if he wanted too. Wasting time was ideal in this situation. You could have your badge taken away or be removed from the team, but you knew you had to try. So, you did the opposite of what the boy genius was telling you to do, and that was to sprint out of the control room, Spencer screaming for you to come back as you headed to the main server room.
You looked at the control panel on the side wall, pulling the frame off of it before plugging in your phone to it and taking over the controls. Your brain felt like it was on fire with how hard you were trying to find the specific number pattern to help your phone out. Once you figured it out you could easily hack into main control system and open the door. But you still had the UnSub to think about. He already shot up the security guard which he hasn't done before. So, you had to figure he was by the door, gun ready for you to come in. You were a few seconds away to opening up the door when an angry Spencer came running your way, his face red with anger.
You didn't have time to think, you just did. You launched yourself at Spencer, knocking him over as the door opened and bullets flew towards you.
Spencer was stunned with your body draped over his, your sweet perfume mixing with his woodsy scent. He watched you quickly get up, somehow dodging the few bullets that was shot at you before knocking the gun out of the UnSub's hand with a roundhouse kick before swiftly taking him the ground, his face smooshed into the ground. You looked like an angel and his brain couldn't comprehend what just happened.
The sound of footsteps heading his way and JJ leaning down to check on him brought Spencer back to reality. You single handedly stopped an UnSub with a roundhouse kick while saving his life a few seconds earlier.
Hotch quickly took over from you and handcuffed the UnSub. "Go, I got this."
You nodded and looked at the hundreds of servers in front of you, analyzing which ones could contain the virus. The team watched you as you figured which ones had it and how many there were. The rest of the day was spent disarming the virus, Spencer following you around as you went holding onto whatever you gave him.
--
"Hey, Y/N." Spencer's voice came from behind you as you made your way to the plane's stairs.
You turned aorund to find him staring at you, nervousness written all over his face. "Yeah?"
He cleared his throat. "Um, I just wanted to thank you for back at the server farm. You knew what needed to be done, and you were able to stop the virus before it could take another life. So good job back there."
A smile crept onto your face at how nervous he was to thank you. "No problem. I have anti-terrorist training from one of the old units I worked with. We profile and anticipate their next moves so it was pretty similar."
"You were a field agent?" He asked, as he made his way up the stairs behind you.
"Yeah, I worked on and off the field in my old units. It helps me from going stir crazy." You laughed and took a seat on the couch, Spencer joining you.
"Wow, and the karate?"
"Oh, I was a gymnast and did karate growing up."
The rest of the plane ride you spent talking with Spencer about your old units and your interests.
Emily looked over at Rossi and Derek before nodding over to the two of you. "Looks like they're going to be inseparable soon."
"Looks like you and Penelope have some competition." Rossi chuckled.
"Baby girl and I are going to have to step it up."
JJ tuned around in her seat to join the conversation. "Looks like Spence is already pretty comfortable."
The team looked over to see your head on Spencer's shoulder and his on rest on the top of yours, sleep finally catching up to you two.
Hotch sighed at the two of you. "Don't tell me I'm going to have to watch them too."

Yandere Castlevania Concept Pt.1
Tumblr media
This takes place before the main story, kinda. You'll understand as you read it. This is part one, so expect a part 2 sometime soon, hopefully.
masterlist
---
"Mrs...can you hear me...?"
The only sounds were dripping water coming from deep within the dungeons. The air around you was cold, even as you bundled up in your cloak, the only solace being the fire you were holding near the bars of the cage. In the conversation, you could see the woman you were searching for, Lisa Tepes, the woman who saved you. Well, she saved your sister from a painful and sad death. She was always going to die, you knew that, but because of Lisa, she was able to pass away happy and content.
And now you were going to pay her back. You weren't going to watch her be burned for a crime she didn't commit.
"Mrs. Lisa, you must come with me, now." You spoke in hush but harsh whispers, stumbling slightly as you moved to unlock her cage. You needed to be quick, that sleeping guard you swiped the keys from had surely woken up by now, and the way out of these dungeons were long and dark. You could tell that Mrs. Lisa was apprehensive of you, but she must've sensed your urgency, or maybe even recognized you, because once the door was unlocked she grabbed onto you tightly, like she was scared to let go.
You hurried as quickly as you could out of the dungeons, eventually wrapping her up in your cloak when you were out in the open. With her once long hair cut, and you being an unrecognizable peasant no one seemed to notice you. Not as you walked out of the city gates, and not as you found your way back to Lisa's home. Or at least, what was left of it, most of it being completely burnt to the ground. "Mrs. Lisa, do you have a place to go--" you knew she had a husband, but he was away, at least that's what you were told. Lisa didn't respond, mumbling thank you's as she hugged you tightly.
"Lisa." The voice was deep, powerful even, causing you to turn your head towards the sound quickly. To your side stood a tall, older looking man, staring down at Lisa. It was intimidating, scary, making you back away from the woman attached to you, much to her annoyance. However, once she noticed the man, her eyes went wide, and she ran towards him, enveloping him in a hug. This must've been her husband, and honestly it was sweet watching his concern melt into care as he hugged her back, albeit awkwardly. "Who are you?" His voice boomed as you tried to back away.
"Vlad--don't be like that!" Vlad, like Dracula, the vampire lord..."they saved me." Lisa finished as you froze in fear. You didn't know what to do, what to say, especially as he stared you down like you were a piece of meat. You looked over at Lisa, who was still tied to her husband, and in an instant she sensed your distress. "Come, let's go home, I'll explain everything there." She spoke, calming the man. You sighed, nodded, before smiling at the woman and attempting to walk away. "Wait--please come with us, the church could be looking for you, just stay for a while." You didn't know how you could refuse, not with her husband around.
Their Castle was huge and intimidating, just like its owner. The man hadn't spoken a word to you since meeting back up to Lisa, only speaking to his life. You didn't get any negative signs from him, but that didn't mean you were going to let your guard down. "Mother--" a voice came from above you, meeting eyes with a very beautiful man who looked shocked. "I-I heard what happened. I thought..." He took Lisa into his arms, quiet sobs coming from his mouth as Lisa rubbed his back. It felt awkward watching them, this wasn't your place to be, and you didn't want to be in this situation any more.
Eventually, once the man had calmed down, you felt Lisa take your hand, leading you toward the rest of her family. "I want to thank you so much--for saving me." She rubbed your hands as she spoke.
"It's nothing Mrs.--it's the least I could do." You responded, taking your hands away and tucking them by your side.
Lisa nodded, looking towards her son "Adrian--show them to a room, please." He nods, motioning for you to follow him, which you do a little reluctantly.
It was strange, being with the man, he was stiff as he led you towards the upper level of the castle. "You saved my mother, correct?" He asked, randomly.
"I--yeah--I guess." You mumbled, nervous. "When I heard she was going to be burned. I couldn't stand it. She helped me a lot, y'know, and I couldn't just--"
"Here." He interrupted, showing you a large room. "I suggest you take a bath, you stink." Okay, ouch. You grimaced as he walked away, right into a room right next to you. "I--thank you, I--we will forever be in your debt." He shut the door behind him, leaving you alone and confused.
Taking Adrian's advice, you took a bath once you were settled into your room. It was bigger than your entire home, and the bed was so soft you were afraid you were going to fall asleep if you were in the room too long. Luckily or unluckily, you were called to Dracula's study, apparently he wanted to discuss something, probably kicking you out you assumed. But, Mrs. Lisa seemed to like you, so you were hoping that wasn't the case. Even so, you were strong, you knew how to rely on yourself, you would survive.
His study was surprisingly warm, a large fire light right across from the chair he was sitting in. You slowly entered the room, not really knowing what to say, but you could tell he was aware of your presence. "I wanted to...thank you." His voice was softer than the first time you heard him talk. "My wife, she means everything to me and I'm--grateful you were able to save her." He spoke quietly, staring straight into the fire as you stood motionless behind him.
"You're welcome." You responded. "Your wife--she helped me a lot, I couldn't just let her die."
"They would've, those vile, wretched creatures." He was talking about humans, calling them creatures. "But you---you did something" finally, he stood up, facing you "you are better than most of them, and I'm thankful for that." His voice was calm, and for a small moment, you were no longer afraid of the man. You nodded, before leaving the room, off to sleep.
Your days at the castle weren't bad at all. Mrs, Lisa, just Lisa as she wished for you to call her, was getting better, and so she spent a lot of time with you. You'd often cook with her as she asked question after question about you. When you weren't with her, you were with her son, who you were slowly growing on. He took it upon himself to teach you how to read, and you'd often fall asleep in their huge library with him, well, you'd fall asleep and Adrian would take you back to your room. Your relationship with Vlad grew as well, he was even funny sometimes. Vlad was very smart, and he would often teach you histories and arts, all things you could tell he was very passionate about.
You spent weeks with the family, and while they were very gracious, it was overwhelming. You were never alone, always felt like someone was watching you. And even worse, whenever you brought up leaving it left Lisa distraught. Not even the promise of visiting could help ease her. It became too much, and when you started to pick up Lisa pushing you towards Adrian, you decided enough was enough. You packed up all your stuff and wrote a note addressed to the family, making sure not to detail where you were going, just to make sure you would be left alone, at least for a while.
You didn't expect anything to come from it, for the family to move on, but that was foolish on your part, thinking they weren't tied to you in a way beyond your comprehension. You never expected what happened next to be your fault.

Tumblr media
You never expected dating Snow to be so troubling; yes, you understood how popular and extremely attractive he was, but you assumed announcing your relationship would put an end to all the ‘fangirls’. Clearly, that wasn’t the case; you couldn’t walk the halls of the academy by his side without girls giving you the death stare. Even while walking unaccompanied, they wouldn’t leave you alone. They would do anything in their power to try and tear apart your relationship with ‘their Coryo’.
Of course, Coriolanus was oblivious to the whole situation; his attention was solely fixated on you and no one else. He didn't pay any mind to what others may have thought or attempted to do regarding the relationship. To him, he had you, and you had him; that was all that mattered. Snow’s undivided attention to you created a bond capable of withstanding any external judgment; he was hopelessly devoted to you.
The night you brought it up to Coriolanus was the night he snapped out of whatever absentminded trance he was in. He finally saw how his so-called ‘friends’ were treating you, and he was not here for it. How could anyone treat you like that, like you were something in the way of getting what they wanted, or in this case, who they wanted? These people would not get away with acting like that toward you.
“Don’t you worry, my love; they will never look at you with an ounce of hatred ever again,” he whispered to you while he softly played with your hair. Your head lay in his lap, on the verge of falling asleep after hours of crying to him about your peers at the academy. “Do you promise?” You were certain he was already planning ways to confront every single person who dared to make you feel this way; his response just proved your thoughts. “I will make sure of it,” you heard him mutter before you fell into a deep slumber.
He did; the next day he woke up extra early and slipped out from under you before sneaking his way out of your room. Normally, he would wake you up before he left to ensure that you got to school when he did. But for the sake of what he was about to do, he made sure to let you wait until your alarm woke you up for the day.
Snow was on a mission. His once carefree demeanor while walking down the hall was replaced with a stern expression. People were staring at him, mainly a couple of the girls who believed he had a chance with him. He knew they realized something was up with him and only confirmed their observations as he marched right up to his ‘friends’ and pushed one of them against the wall.
“What the hell, Coriolanus? What's your deal?” The boy asked, hearing gasps from everyone in the nearby vicinity. “Don’t try and play innocent with me.” Snow pushed him even harder into the wall before continuing.
His confrontation was harsh but necessary; most of the group admitted their actions and apologized to him after realizing how serious he was about you. They were now terrified of what he would do to them. Coriolanus had a history of harming anyone who wronged those he loved. He did not play around when it came to other men hitting on you; he once got suspended for bringing a knife to the throat of a student who simply complimented your outfit.
By the time you met him in front of the academy, word had gotten around of Snow’s stunt. As you walked side by side, you didn’t see anyone's eyes on you; it felt freeing. The girls who had previously harassed you felt the weight of Snow’s disapproval. Some were afraid to even look in your direction in fear of their precious Coriolanus coming after them. Others took notice of his commitment to you and admired him. Either way, the power of Snow’s presence silenced the whispers and glares. That day, his actions proved to everyone that he was indeed hopelessly devoted to you, and nothing could come between you and your love.
₊˚。⋆❆⋆。˚₊
Although you were no longer bothered, Coriolanus was not satisfied. He needs you to know that he belongs to you, not to any of those girls who chased after him. Over the course of the next week, he tried to find you the perfect gift. It wasn’t until he was browsing through one of many stores in the capital’s markets that he found the most unique jewelry store. He just knew he had to get you a necklace and maybe a little something for himself.
That night, he snuck into your room, ready to take what he needed. You were a deep sleeper, so he was certain you wouldn’t wake up. Coriolanus carefully sat on your bed next to your sleeping body. He didn’t want to hurt you, but in order for his gift to show its full effect, he needed to do this not only to you but to himself as well. Taking the needle, he grabbed your arm and pricked your skin, making sure to avoid a vein. The needle only went a little past the surface; he didn’t want you to bleed out; he just needed enough to fill up a tiny vial.
Snow watched as the blood dripped from your arm into the clear container, finding pleasure in seeing the red substance leak from your body. Beauty was something that came naturally to you; it was no question. But right now, as you were sleeping with your hair covering your face and blood dripping from your arm, he could only describe you as stunning. The soft glow of the moon spilled into your room and cast a gentle light onto your features as you lay there, lost in a dream; Aphrodite truly had nothing on you.
₊˚。⋆❆⋆。˚₊
Finally, it came time for Snow to give you his special gift; he had mentioned something of it previously after you woke up one day with a bandage covering a puncture wound on your arm. He didn’t want to spoil his present, seeing as it wasn’t the right time to surprise you with it, but he knew better than to alarm you by not explaining that the wound was from him. You were a little skeptical at first; however, you trusted him and knew he wouldn’t do anything to intentionally harm you.
The two of you sat on a blanket in a secluded park, away from everyone. You loved picnics and always had to beg Coriolanus to plan them for you. He hated the idea of someone seeing him on a picnic, but he did it for you no matter what. The air was filled with a sweet scent of blooming flowers, and the gentle rustle of the leaves from the tree above you provided soothing background noise.
You were 200 pages deep into reading him a book when he sat up and grabbed it out of your hand and gently placed it on the blanket. Looking at him confused as he held your hand, you beckoned, “Is everything okay, Coryo?” His reply was short as he reached into the basket he packed with plenty of sandwiches, fruit, and dessert for your day out. “Everything is perfect, love,” he smiled, his face filled with joy. “Actually, I have a present for you.” Now, it was your turn to smile as you expressed how excited and thankful you were that he got you something.
"This is a necklace; I had it made for you." He handed you the box and allowed you to open it up to find the most precious heart-shaped necklace you ever laid eyes on. It was small and dainty, but you immediately fell in love with the redness of it. You looked up to see him watching your expressions, hoping you liked it; you did. You tackled him into a big hug that sent you both flying onto your backs. He laughed as he used one hand to push you both up, with the other hand wrapped around your waist to ensure your safety.
Coriolanus went on to disclose information about the red liquid inside the heart; you found it endearing knowing he wasn’t the best when it came to needles. He loved you enough to face his fear to get you something special. Unbeknownst to you, his blood wasn’t the only blood drawn for a piece of jewelry. As you were admiring the necklace he clasped around your neck, he spoke up again, “There's actually one more thing to show you, love.” Facing him, you watched as he slowly showed you a lovely ring on his finger. It was the same red as your necklace, but something about it seemed different. “It is your blood, in the jewel,” he confessed. He didn’t know how you would take it, but seeing that beautiful smile on your face, he found the courage to continue. "I, uh… I got them, so we are always with each other, even when the other is not near.”
In the eyes of others, this gesture might have caused them to run away screaming, but in your eyes, it was better than anything you could’ve asked for. You knew Coriolanus was different from the others in the capital; he was overprotective over his loved ones and cold to those who had oppressed them. He had his own special way of caring and showing his love, and you adored it. You didn’t care how dark or ‘evil’ he could be; you loved him for who he was and every part of him.
As you thanked Snow for the special gift over and over again, you couldn’t help but stare into his bright blue eyes. It was as if you were mesmerized by them. Snow, equally captivated by the sincerity of your gratitude, found himself lost in the warmth of your eyes. Unable to resist the magnetic pull, you leaned in, closing the distance between you. Your lips brushed against his before they finally met in a sweet and gentle kiss. It was a simple exchange of affection and a silent celebration of your connection.
Neither of you wanted to pull away, but considering you were running out of air, it was the smart thing to do. Still lost in each other’s gaze, Coriolanus swore,
“Till death do us part, my love.” “Till death do us part, Coryo,”

Here me outtttttttt, Alastor or Lucifer (your choice) with a reader who has dabi’s power from MHA🫢
This actually sounded so good that I HAD to immediately put this power with Lucifer. I love that depressed duck man. I hope you enjoy this as much as I enjoyed writing it!

Lucifer x Reader (with Dabi’s powers)
As an overlord, you become used to people offering to team up with you, threats and attacks, and finding people to make contracts with. I normally was categorized as one of the “better” ones to have your soul sold to, unlike the Vee’s. Alastor was the one below me, but still wasn’t the best with how he treated his poor souls under his contract. What really scared people was when they heard why I was in hell instead of heaven with how I treated other souls here.
I died in an ironic way, burning from my own arson. My abuser was caught with another victim, but didn’t face any consequences for his actions. Therefore, I made sure he did by burning his home down while he was sleeping in it. I knew I would face murder charges and never see the sun again, so I burned inside with him, holding the door shut to the bedroom after nailing his windows shut. Due to my arson crime, I was sent to hell with the “gift” of blue flame. It looked beautiful but burned anyone who came too close. I was currently in a meeting with the overlords, playing with my blue flames on my fingers when Valentino came up to me, Lucifer watching from behind.
“So, how much did you say for Angel Dust’s soul?” His shit eating grin sparkling with the golden tooth. A polite smile twitched before I calmly responded.
”I would like to simply have his contract under myself instead of you with a buy-out price of the soul of Velvette’s.” I smiled with lidded eyes watching his cocky attitude melt away. All he knew was that I was interested in buying Angel Dust’s soul from him, never knew with what.
“Velvette didn’t sell her soul?” He sounded unsure as he glanced over my shoulder to Vox and Velvette waiting by the door to leave.
”You really think she had those powers when she came down here a couple years ago? You really are foolish.” I went to turn around, making Valentino panic. He gripped my arm, burning his hand instantly with my blue flame. My eyes were glowing an electric blue as the blue flames replaced my hair, flickering in the air. Valentino pulled back, holding his hand and looking in fear. He immediately fixed his tone, switching to an angry one.
“You bitch!” I was quickly losing my temper with how he was acting. If I slipped up and let my anger take over, I was doomed to explode blue flames everywhere. Lucifer was watching still from behind Valentino, ready to step in if I looked any more agitated than I already was.
“Do we have a deal or not, Valentino?” I stressed with my eyes and hair a flaming blue, the King of Hell already cutting off his current conversation. Valentino looked like he was actually considering taking my offer but was still angry with my skin burning him.
“Fine, I will release Angel Dust under you if you release Velvette to me.” My hand stuck out quickly in front of him and I made sure to burn his hand again, scarring one of his fingers as a reminder of this deal. Permanently burned into his memory that I was not a friend but an enemy that will always have the upper hand. Lucifer was by my side watching Valentino shake his hand violently in pain, hissing out curses. Vox and Velvette also joined, Vox aggressively inspecting his hand.
“What did you do?” Velvette started accusing me, pointing a finger in my face.
“We traded you.” I spoke simply as Lucifer caught up on what was going on.
I met Lucifer two weeks ago, outside of the professional setting, when Charlie and Vaggie asked for my help on something. They were referred to me by Alastor and Rosie, saying I was the only one with the power to get Angel Dust out of his abusive contract with the Vee’s. Lucifer had the power too, but it would cause an uprising. Of course I agreed for many reasons. But, it also got me involved in her hotel idea. I didn’t mind at all since it got me to become closer to Lucifer, even though we only met outside of meetings a couple times now.
“Who did you trade Val?” Vox grabbed his shoulders, getting in his face while his voice distorted with his anger. Lucifer glanced at me, silently approving of the accomplishment for his daughter.
“Listen, what’s done is done. You can’t undo it and it was his choice. If you have a problem, handle it outside of here.” He ushered the rest of the overlords out of the meeting room, shutting the door with both of us still inside. I took a couple deep breaths knowing I needed to calm down before I blew a fuse, literally.
”Did you get it?” Lucifer turned around, taking long strides to close the distance between us. He was smiling excitedly, enough that I felt like his eyes were stars. My laugh slipped out before I look at him, feeling comfortable.
”Did you doubt me? Of course I have his contract now. It cost me one of my upper hands over the Vee’s but anything is worth it for your daughter and her dream.” I smiled at Lucifer, holding my palm out to show a miniature Angel Dust in my blue flames form. I closed my palm when he leaned in a little too close for my comfort. I didn’t want to burn him.
”I still can’t believe you even had that girl’s soul!” I watched him take off his white hat, placing it calmly onto the table where we all gathered just a few minutes ago. My fingertips glided over the glass top, melting the glass slightly. The feeling of it melting and the smell of char forced my reflexes to kick in, pulling my hand away before I damaged it more. Lucifer, of course, noticed how it was molted now.
“Do you always get hot when you’re mad?” He spoke casually before turning as red as the apple on his hat. Immediately stuttering and waving his hands dismissively, realizing how it sounded. I watched him stutter through an explanation of what he meant with an upside down smile.
”I- uh- I- I didn’t- ha ha- I meant temperature. Anger causes high temperatures.” I laughed, deciding to put him out of his embarrassing misery.
“Thank you and yes.” I flicked my fingers to show the tips of them lit with the blue flame. Lucifer looked enchanted by the flames and before I could stop him, he reached out and touched them with his bare hands. I tried putting my flames out but what I noticed stopped me dead in my tracks.
”Why aren’t you being burnt horrifically?” I watched as my flames licked his skin, not burning it to a crisp. Lucifer watched as his hand held my flame instead. Truly, it astounded me considering no one could handle my flames, absolutely nothing could. What made it worse was trying to keep myself under control as I felt Lucifer’s hands softly graze my own. I didn’t know if it was just the fact that no one else has been able to even touch me without being burned by the heat of my body, the way the flame reflected in his golden and crimson eyes, or maybe it was the way I couldn’t ever keep my eyes off of him in the first place. Especially working with him outside of professional work, I have been able to look at him as more than just someone higher than me.
“It really is a beautiful flame.” His eyes were so enamored by it, he didn’t even get embarrassed or nervous. It was like we both were lost in something truly breathtaking, him with my unique flame and myself with how he looked illuminated by it. Lucifer glanced at me twice before he completely looked away from the blue flame on each of my fingertips. Gentle pale fingers pushed a hair out of my face, blue flames that were pieces of my hair. My hair and eyes were fully enflamed. I was increasing in temperature, which was dangerous considering the last man I thought I could attempt something with, was burned alive after our first kiss.
”You really are something, (Y/n).” He knew the right words to say to win my heart, but the wrong one to not make me burst into complete flames. What surprised me was how he still was able to hold his hand to my cheek.
“Seriously, how are you doing that?” I nervously laughed, awaiting for me to set the King of Hell ablaze.
“What do you mean?” He furrowed his brows, absentmindedly still holding my cheek. I could feel myself burn hotter from it.
”Everyone else who has even stood too close to me when I was like this, were burned to a crisp.” Maybe that was too blunt. Did I just scare him away?
”Wow! Really? That’s actually really interesting. Can you burn hotter?” His eyes were full of curiosity like a child. This man was really crazy if he expected me to try and kill him. I closed my eyes and took a couple deep breaths to extinguish myself.
“Too far?” He laughed nervously, pulling his hand away from me.
“I don’t feel like trying to kill the King of Hell today, I’m sure Alastor would love to do that though.” I teased, attempting to distract the poor thing from being too self conscious. I must’ve hit a nerve though, triggering a rant instead.
”Don’t get me started on that wannabe!” He rolled his eyes and took a couple steps, gaining me the moment and space to clear my thoughts better. Deep breaths, I need to take deep breaths and stop letting a man who probably doesn’t feel the same fluster me like that. I stood up and fixed mty outfit, smoothing my appearance out. By the time Lucifer turned back around, I had myself looking sharp and proper.
“He has been provoking me on purpose! You saw how he acts with Char Char! It’s like he only wants to act like her father figure just to get under my skin.” He ran his hands down his face. Metal glistened in the light, catching my eyes rather efficiently.
Oh. That’s right.
”Speaking of Charlie, I should probably head over to the hotel to pass along the news that I was successful in her request.” Averting my eyes from the man in front of me, I felt the choking reality that he was probably still in love with his extremely long term marriage partner and mother to his only child. I sucked a deep breath in before flashing a small polite smile.
”Oh, yeah. I’m sure she will be excited to hear the news.” I felt the room turn into an uncomfortable atmosphere. I looked at him in pity before sighing and sitting back down.
”Can I ask you a personal question?” I crossed one leg over the other, motioning for him to take a seat.
“uh- sure…?” He sat down, crossing his legs and leaning back fully in the chair. He was rolling up his sleeves then he ran his hands down the arms of the chair before gripping the ends in his hands nervously.
”Why do you still wear the ring? I think we both know she isn’t coming back, sweetheart.” Maybe that was also too blunt but I think he might need a shove into reality. He has been kind of in limbo for seven years. Last I checked, even Charlie had come to terms that her mom wasn’t coming back, at least not any time soon. I have had extensive conversations about it with her, even helping her realize her feelings of abandonment were valid.
“I don’t know.” He looked lost and his fingers traced over the metal, sliding it off. I stuck my hand out and stared at him, not once looking at the metal itself. He held it tighter in his hand before seeming to realize something internally.
”Lucifer, you need to let go at least enough to take care of yourself. It really isn’t healthy to hold on to something that is only causing pain and misery, now is it?” He looked defensive at first before blinking it away, replacing it with defeat and placing the ring in my hand. It instantly melted to liquid before I delicately morphed it into an “L” pendant with a thin chain. I may have helped him make the first step, but I wasn’t about to get rid of something so familiar to him. He would have to make that decision himself one day, I just nudged him in the right direction. Especially if he is still in deep love with her.
”I can give it to Charlie, see what she thinks the ‘L’ stands for. If she chooses me, that’s great, but if she chooses her mother, that’s also great that she can find it in herself to forgive her.” He hesitated, holding the chain.
”I don’t think I can ever forgive her for it, nor want to.” His eyes looked back up to mine, holding the gaze as he whispers, “I’m actually okay with her being gone now.” My brows furrowed as I waited for him to elaborate.
”I would’ve never had the chance to notice a beautifully complicated woman.” I felt my face burn, along with my whole body. I couldn’t control the high temperature and involuntarily burnt the chair completely before I was able to put myself out.
“I’m sorry, I can get a new chair!”

For a couple of seconds, you could do nothing but stare at him with wide eyes, frozen in your seat.
“Excuse me?”
“Just hear me out before you grab your gun, it would—” he started but you scoffed and stood up from the lounge chair, the familiar anger rushing through you so fast that it almost made your head spin.
“Do you think this is funny?”
He shook his head fervently. “I’m completely serious.”
A dry laugh spilled from your lips. “Oh really?”
“Charm…”
“I don’t know who the fuck you think you are, but my stupid little crush on you went away years and years ago,” you growled, glaring daggers at him. “You made sure of that, so if you dare assume for even a moment—”
“Oh my God, that was the wildest bachelorette I’ve ever been to!” Becca’s voice cut you off as she pushed open the door and stepped into the rooftop. “Also I’m pretty sure I’m in love now, so…” she stopped when her eyes fell on you two. “Uh, what’s going on?”
“Nothing,” you said after a beat and threw your shoulders back. “Did you just say you’re in love?”
“Yeah!”
Bucky stole a look at Becca. “Who did you fall in love with?”
“That’s a long story. What’s going on in here?”
You pursed your lips together, your heart still beating in your ears as you tried to focus through the fury, then cleared your throat.
“We were—”
“Y/N, we’re leaving!” you heard Ian’s voice and your head whipped around, then you cleared your throat.
“I’ll call you tomorrow,” you said, pressing a kiss on her cheek in a rush. “Let’s get coffee at the usual place?”
“Uh, sure?” she said slowly and you walked out of the rooftop like someone was chasing you, without sparing Bucky so much as a glance.
The road back home was considerably quiet but it did nothing to silence the chaos in your mind. You had excused yourself to your room as soon as you got home, but after an hour of tossing and turning in the bed, you huffed out and kicked the covers off of you, sitting up in the bed.
This was nonsense.
There was no scenario in which you’d marry Bucky. You weren’t even sure you could spend more than half an hour together without being at each other’s throats, let alone being an actual couple—
Not that you had thought about it.
Much.
Fine, back when you were younger and Bucky hadn’t ripped your heart out yet, you used to spend a lot of time thinking about you and him ending up together. He was your best friend’s cool older brother and you were both heirs to your families’ empires, so your little crush let your imagination run wild.
And then he had broken your heart but after everything, even now, your imagination still liked to conjure him up in your dreams some nights.
But unlike before, you weren’t an idiot. You knew what kind of an asshole he was, so there was no way you could even entertain that stupid proposal, no matter what kind of a promise of power it held.
You rubbed at your eyes and got up from the bed, then padded your way down the hallway, then went down the spiral stairs. You stretched out your arms over your head as you followed the hallway to the kitchen where the light was coming from, as you knew it would, then peeked your head in.
Oh good.
It was just Jennifer, your genius chef who was now busy with making a sandwich on the counter while Ryan sat on one of the chairs, his hands clasped together, his back completely straight. Ryan was Ian’s right hand, -ex military, as much as you knew- but unlike Ian, he was much calmer and rational. He was tall and very muscular and didn’t like to talk much, and that added more to the air of mystery he held, considering no one seemed to know much about his past, or his personal life.
“Hey,” you knocked on the door, making both of them turn their heads. “Is this a bad time?”
“Not at all!” Jennifer said as Ryan stood up from his chair.
“Ma’am.”
“Oh don’t!” you motioned at him. “Please don’t stand up, I just…I couldn’t sleep so I figured—”
“Warm milk with honey and cinnamon?” Jennifer finished your sentence for you, making you smile and nod your head.
“Yes please,” you said and pulled yourself a chair, resting your elbows on the counter. Ryan eyed you, then sat down as well.
“There you go!” Jennifer said, putting the plate in front of him, then smiled at him. “Chef’s special sandwich.”
“Thanks Jen,” Ryan said, his voice gruff and Jennifer turned to you.
“Would you like one as well?”
“Ah no, thank you,” you said and heaved a sigh. Jennifer stole a look at you.
“Are you alright?”
“Too many thoughts,” you muttered, leaning your chin on your fist. “Ryan, are you married?”
Ryan’s head shot up as he chewed on his bite, then cleared his throat.
“No ma’am.”
“Any partner?”
“No ma’am.”
“He’s single,” Jennifer said with a grin. “And all my friends are very eager to change that.”
Ryan offered her an almost abashed smile and shifted his weight on the chair as if he was uncomfortable with the sudden attention while Jennifer put your glass of honeyed milk with cinnamon in front of you with a couple of cookies on the plate.
“Thank you so much,” you said as you took a sip, then bit on the cookie.
“Jen, you’re married and in love, right?”
“And I’m also the luckiest woman in the world in addition to all that,” she said, making you smile.
“Do you think people could get married to people they hate?”
“Why would anyone get married to someone they hate?” she asked and Ryan took a huge bite of his sandwich, looking between you.
“Common interests,” you said. “I don’t know, I had this strange thought…”
Jennifer tilted her head. “What?”
You heaved a sigh, then shook your head.
“Nothing,” you said. “Don’t mind me. Just some late-night thoughts, that’s all.”
                                                 *
By the time you met up with Becca, you still couldn’t stop thinking about last night and Bucky’s proposal, if you could even call it that. It was nonsense, you knew it was, but considering Becca was your best friend, the mere thought of keeping it from her was simply absurd.
“He proposed?” Becca asked, gawking at you. “He actually proposed?”
“Well it was technically a business proposal.”
“And a marriage proposal at the same time?”
You shrugged your shoulders while the waiter filled your coffee cup.
“You know…” Becca trailed off. “Hypothetically speaking—”
“You cannot tell me this is a good idea.”
“I’m not but think about it,” she insisted. “You and Buck already hate each other kinda, so you’re technically already married. You just skipped like ten years into it and got to the resentment part.”
“Becca!”
“You fight like a married couple.”
“If some married couple is fighting like me and Bucky, they should get a divorce,” you pointed out, leaning back in your seat. “I blocked his number, and just…ugh the nerve of the guy, can you believe him?!”
“Mm hm.” Becca said, sipping her matcha before checking her phone. “Oh thank God!”
“What?”
“Sarah is coming to the club this weekend,” she said and pointed at you. “So are you, right?”
“Yeah, me and Ethan.”
“What?”
“I’m bringing Ethan with me,” you explained. “I had to ditch him today, we were supposed to meet for lunch but as you can tell, this couldn’t wait.”
“My brother asking you to marry him even if you hate his guts? Yeah, that beats lunch with the cute ex.”
“And you know, since we’ve been texting a lot, I figured…”
“Yeah yeah, bring him over!” Becca said. “It’ll be fun—oh my God, so my brother’s audacity and ego aside, I need to tell you about the girl I met last night.”
“Yeah, I was going to ask you!” you said. “You said you were in love?”
“I am!” she said with a smile. “You know, I was thinking I could invite her and some friends as well, but now that I think about it, maybe I could just take a page from Bucky’s book and open with a marriage proposal.”
“Becca!”
“I’m just saying, we can just skip to the happily married part, flirting is a waste of time at this point and—”
“You’re not doing that!”
Becca let out a laugh.
“I don’t know,” she said. “Just because it didn’t work for him doesn’t mean it wouldn’t work for me.”
“It wouldn’t work for anyone, Becca,” you told her and she hummed.
“I’ll just say one thing about this, then I’ll talk about the love of my life, alright?”
“Alright,” you said and she turned her cup in the saucer, then clicked her tongue.
“You and Bucky being married is an absurd idea yes,” she said. “But he did have a point.”
“How is that?”
“Well, I’ll ask you the same thing my aunt asked me when I took my civilian boyfriend to my cousin’s wedding, and I have a feeling your answer will be different than mine.”
“Which is?”
She smiled at you mischievously.
“Do you want love poems, or do you want power?”
Your eyes shot up to hers before you shifted your weight, then motioned at her with your hand.
“Come on,” you said. “Enough about that. Tell me about the love of your life.”
                                                     *
You and Becca ended up spending the whole day together, and by the time you decided you would go back home, it was already dark outside. Watching outside as the driver drove you home, you leaned your head on the window, then felt your phone buzzing in your purse so you grabbed it, smiling slightly at the name before answering it.
“Hey there.”
“Hi,” Ethan’s voice reached you, and you could tell he was smiling as well. “How was your day?”
“It was good,” you said. “Full of romance.”
“Romance?”
“Becca is in love,” you said and he let out a whistle.
“Your best friend Becca?”
“Oh yeah,” you said. “I had to talk her out of looking at bridal shops, but we still went cake tasting.”
“Does this person know they’re getting married to Becca?”
“That’s just a small detail,” you joked, making him chuckle. “She invited her to the club for the weekend, I’m pretty excited to meet her. How about you?”
“Do you find data analyzing romantic?”
“Not exactly.”
“Then it was less romantic than your day.”
“And the hospital?” you asked and he took a deep breath.
“Oh everything is fine. Should be free of the bandages next week.”
You bit inside your cheek. “I still feel responsible—”
“Don’t,” he cut you off. “Seriously. The incident had nothing to do with you.”
“Mm hm.”
“Besides, you can’t really blame the rollercoaster if someone gets hurt on one.”
“No one is supposed to get hurt on a rollercoaster,” you pointed out and he thought for a moment.
“Okay in hindsight, it wasn’t the best analogy…”
You pulled your brows together. “Wait, am I the rollercoaster?”
“No! No, you’re sitting next to me on the rollercoaster,” Ethan explained. “We’re both riding it.”
“That’s not—” you started but a black sports car wheezed past yours and sharply drifted sideways as soon as it got in front of your car so that yours would have to stop.
“I’ll call you back Ethan,” you said and hung up the phone, your heart skipping a beat as you grabbed the gun from underneath the seat, looking to your right to see your bodyguards’ car stopping as well. The driver lowered the partition as the bodyguards stepped out of the car.
“It’s Mr. Barnes’ personal car, ma’am,” he said. “I know the plate.”
“Oh Jesus Christ…” you murmured as you put the gun back to where it was and opened your door, then stepped outside at the same time Bucky left his car. Your bodyguards hesitated as soon as they saw him, looking between you and you waved a hand in the air.
“It’s fine guys,” you said and turned to Bucky. “What the hell do you think you’re doing?”
Bucky shrugged his shoulders as if nothing was wrong.
“You blocked my number,” he said. “It’s not like I can text you.”
“And what, it wasn’t enough of a clue?” you asked tersely and Bucky nodded in the direction of his car.
“Come on, get in. We’re going to talk.”
You crossed your arms. “Nope.”
“Charm for fuck’s sake…”
“I’m not going to talk to you, and I’m certainly not getting in your car.”
“You seriously want to do this right here on the road?”
You threw your hands up in frustration. “You are the one who’s blocking the road, motherfucker!”
You could see the petrified expressions on your bodyguards’ faces before one of them gazed up at the sky while the other one put his hands into his pockets and kicked at a tiny pebble on the road, both desperately trying to look like they weren’t hearing you two.
“Listen—”
“I will not,” you retorted. “What is your deal, seriously?”
“We need to talk about last night,” Bucky said and out of the corner of your eye, you noticed the bodyguards exchanging glances, so you gritted your teeth and grabbed Bucky’s arm to pull him to the other side of the car in an attempt to get more privacy.
“There’s nothing to talk about,” you said through your teeth and Bucky ran a hand over his face.
“No I’d say there’s plenty to talk about,” he said. “I mean you didn’t even give me an answer—”
“That poor excuse of a joke doesn’t deserve an answer.”
“It wasn’t a joke to me.”
“Well, it was to me.”
He shook his head slightly.
“Just—” he said. “Why not?”
You raised your brows, gawking at him in disbelief and a look of realization dawned on his face before he heaved a sigh.
“Charm…”
You shot him a mocking smile, crossing your arms.
You and Becca sneaking into nightclubs wasn’t a new thing, and now that you were leaving for college in a month, you were trying to spend as much time together as possible. Becca threw her arm over your shoulder as you walked through the crowd to the bar.
“Two martinis please,” she told the bartender and he took a look at you two, but before he could say anything the other bartender muttered something into his ear, then motioned at you.
“Coming right up,” he ended up saying as you turned to Becca.
“So you were saying?”
“Yeah like, he keeps saying he’s too busy but I’m not buying it—ugh, you gotta be kidding me!”
You frowned, then followed her line of sight to see Bucky and Steve stepping outside from the other exit that led to the back alley behind the club, your heart starting to beat faster.
“Where are they going?”
“They’re probably gonna beat someone up, who cares?” Becca said with a shrug of her shoulders. “He’s in such a mood nowadays, I’m not even gonna let him know I’m here. Arrogant asshole.”
You tilted your head. “…Oh?”
“He and daddy had a huge fight the other night,” she said as she took the drink from the bartender while he put the other one in front of you. “Like my mom had to step in because they were at each other’s throats, that kind of a fight.”
“Why?”
Becca shrugged again. “It’s probably about business. The golden heir made a mistake I guess.”
You took a sip of your drink. “Interesting.”
“Yeah and then he went and broke up with Laura.”
Your head shot up. “They broke up?”
“Yeah!” Becca said. “Which, I’m not sorry at all because she was so annoying, but no girl in the world deserves to get dumped by Bucky so I have mixed feelings about the situation.”
You could feel the small glimmer of hope warming your chest and you pursed your lips together, then cleared your throat.
“I just—I forgot I was gonna call my dad, he gets so mad when I don’t let him know,” you said. “I gotta step outside for a moment, I’ll be right back.”
“Okay!” Becca said and you made your way through the dance floor before reaching the second exit, but before you could open the door, Steve had already beaten you to it.
“Y/N,” he said when he saw you. “Hey.”
“Hi,” you smiled at him. “Um—have you seen Bucky?”
Steve looked over his shoulder, then turned to you with an apologetic smile.
“He’s not…” he trailed off. “He’s not in the best mood.”
“Oh that’s okay,” you said and pushed the door open before he could say anything else, then stepped outside, holding your phone for the sake of appearance. When you saw him, Bucky’s bodyguards were dragging a nearly unconscious man out of the alley while he wiped the blood off his knuckles with a tissue, then lit a cigarette.
You could feel your heart beating in your ears, but you bit down on your lip, fixing your dress before clearing your throat.
“Bucky?”
He turned his head when he heard his name, then exhaled the smoke.
“Hey Charm,” he greeted you, making your heart skip a beat. “Is Becca here too?”
You bit inside your cheek, trying not to get discouraged by that, then nodded your head.
“Um, yeah we just got here.”
“Great,” he murmured. “Tell her not to drink too much, will you?”
You nodded again and smiled at him, your hand shaky a little as you fixed your dress again, desperately hoping it looked good on you.
“I didn’t know you would be here.”
“Yeah well, here I am,” he said, taking a drag of his cigarette, leaning back to the brick wall and you licked your lips.
“And are you okay?”
“Why wouldn’t I be okay?”
“Oh, just...” you stammered. “Becca mentioned you and Laura.”
Bucky shrugged his shoulders. “Happens. I’m fine, it was my call.”
Dear God, he was so handsome that you could just stare at him for hours.
“Are you going to that gala thing as well?” you asked, nervousness pulsing through your system. “My dad is basically dragging me there, is George doing the same?”
His jaw clenched at the mention of his father, and he nodded quietly, exhaling the smoke.
Your voice was trembling a little, your throat incredibly dry because of the nervousness mixed with anticipation, but you still managed to get the words out.
“So I was thinking, do you—um—do you wanna go together?”
That managed to get his attention and he pulled his brows together, then let out a dry laugh.
“Jesus Christ…” he muttered. “What, you rushed here as soon as you heard about me and Laura? Seriously?”
You pulled back slightly, your stomach doing a flip and you shook your head.
“No, I just—”you stammered, tears stinging the back of your eyes already. “I was just thinking—”
“Listen, I know you don’t see it right now, but this little crush of yours is just…” he trailed off with a small chuckle, motioning between you. “It’s kind of adorable, but it’s not going to happen. If I go to that gala with you, you’ll get your hopes up, so will everyone else around us and I’ll end up trapped in something serious—which is out of question. I can’t trust you with the business, not when you’d probably report everything back to your own family and I can’t afford a mistake, not right now.”
You tried to blink back the tears, staring at him as he threw the cigarette butt on the ground, then put his hands in his pockets and shrugged.
“Not to mention,” he said. “I don’t go for daddy’s spoiled whiny princess type, and you’d be better off with a nicer guy anyway.”
You could feel the sobs threatening to climb up your chest, so you sniffled and turned around to rush back into the club, leaving him there before he could say anything else.
“Don’t tell me that’s the reason,” Bucky’s voice pulled you out of your thoughts and you arched a brow.
“I said nothing.”
“It was what, almost ten years ago?” he asked. “I was an idiot—”
“I am really not interested in whatever this bullshit is,” you told him. “And I’m going to be late for dinner, so…”
“Just hear me out first—”
You looked over your shoulder and motioned at the driver.  “Turn the car around please!”
The driver did as you asked but before you could step away from Bucky, he grabbed your arm.
“Charm, I can help you get the power you want,” he insisted as you rolled your eyes. “You might hate me right now, but you know I can do that. Just let me get you that crown.”
“We’re done here.” You yanked your arm out of his grip and walked to the car but stopped when you reached it, turning your head to look at him.
“I’m not going to marry you Bucky,” you called out, fully aware that the bodyguards could hear you, and the mere thought gave you a strange sense of satisfaction. “I would never marry you. I don’t go for the arrogant asshole type, and you’d be better off with a nicer girl anyway.”
With that you got in the car, and the driver started driving as soon as you slammed the door shut, the car gliding down the road smoothly.
“Unbelievable,” you muttered to yourself and leaned your head back, closing your eyes. “The fucking audacity.”

Dating Leon has its perks.
For one, anyone who went so far as to look at you funny was sent packing by a rough glare or an equally rough pat on the back. You didn’t mind his protectiveness, although he tended to become mildly jealous.
He would remind you of that every night as he pressed himself deeper inside of you, his voice low in your ear. His fingers would grip your sides tight, sure to leave bruises.
“I do a better job than him, yeah?” a thrust of his hips, “They could never love you the way I do,” his cock bows inside of you at his own words, “I promise, sweetheart. I’ll always make good on that. No matter-” a whine escapes his lips, “-who it is. Fuck.”
You don’t even have to say anything. He somehow managed to get off on his own talking. Of course, the times you did participate, it had him clenching the bedsheets and screwing his eyes shut. Begging to some higher power to give him the strength not to cum at that very moment.
Your gaze was what did it, looking up or down at him with eyes deep and wide with pure love. Your touch felt searing hot, the slightest squeezes to his thigh had him crossing his legs tightly, praying no one would notice the obvious bulge in his pants.
Leon was a sweet man to be with. Adorable in every little thing he did. Cooking? Cleaning? Fixing little things around the house? Adorable.
“I’m not adorable,” Leon looked at you with quirked-up eyebrows. He returned his gaze to what he was doing, then smirked to himself, “You are, though.”
You would snort, roll your eyes maybe. Your hands would travel up his arms, slowly at first, and then you were wrapped around each other in a tight embrace. It was a charade the two of you knew and enacted frequently. He would always smile in response, offering to
“Prove it to you, yeah?”
Every time it ended with you spread open on his lap, facing a mirror. His fingers would dip in and out of your pussy as he kissed along your neck.
“Pretty little thing, aren’t you?” he would assure you, punctuating his statement with a particularly deep thrust of his fingers, soaking them up to the knuckle.
Your whines were the only thing that could be heard in your house those nights. Leon wouldn’t even let himself anywhere near finished until you had come at least twice.
You had also come to admire his physique. Hardened over his many years of working, fighting crime, and beating the bad guys. Today, the two of you had decided to tackle the task of dinner together. It was going well so far, with no unnecessary distractions. You had other plans, however. Maybe it was the fact that he hadn’t been home in a while, always seeming to be out on some mission. Maybe it was the warmth in the air from the little fireplace in your living room; Leon had tended to it, nursing the flames and chopping wood outside in the frigid air. Maybe it was the love songs that were playing over the radio. Damn it, you wanted him. You wanted him bad.
You stared at his form. Shamelessly undressing him with your eyes. Big, strong, and fucking attractive. His forearms twisted as he began to knead at a ball of dough for which you were supposed to be preparing a bowl.
Instead, you just watched as each muscle in his arms and shoulders worked together. Moving, turning, stretching. Leon lifted a hand to swipe his bangs out of his eyes. It was funny, although his outward appearance was rough and strong, his hands were always quite soft. The skin of his fingers were gentle as they meticulously explored your body each night. The pads of his fingers were always tender when they rubbed circles around your clit.
His hair lay gently over his sharp jawline, curving over his ear all the way up to the crown of his head. The color of wheat, swaying similarly in the air as he rocked back and forth. A quiet tune escaped his lips as he shifted his weight from one foot to the other, swinging in time with the song on the radio.
You started off innocent, slinking up behind him and wrapping your arms around his shoulders. You laced gentle touches along his jawline from behind, threading them through his golden hair as he worked. He smiled, kissing the hand that got too close to his mouth. You continued your work, opting to run your hands down over his chest. You prodded and squeezed at each muscle you found, dragging your fingertips against the sides of his waist. He chuckled, turning you around to face him.
“What are you planning?” he raised his eyebrows, knowingly.
“Nothing,” you blinked innocently.
Leon smirked, running his knuckle along your chin as you stepped closer, pressing your waist against his. Your arms snake around his upper body, dragging him close to you.
“Likely story,” he mused, this time tenderly brushing at your hair.
You lean your head into his touch, looking up at him with gentle eyes, “You’re the worst, you know?” the smile on your face said it all.
He matched your smile, pulling your face against him.
His lips were sweet and soft. You chuckled slightly, remembering how you had begged him to start using chapstick a few weeks prior.
He pulls away and cocks his head to the side, “What, glad I finally started using chapstick?”
You lean up and kiss him again, relishing in the plump softness of his lips. Pulling back slightly so that your faces are centimeters apart, you giggle.
“Damn right I am,”
Leon shakes his head with a smirk gracing his lips. He blinks, his lashes fluttering about in the light from the fire. His deep blue irises sink into yours, his gaze is soft. The corners of his eyes crinkle up a bit after staring for a moment, and he breaks away first with a snicker.
He shakes his head again to rid himself of his shit-eating grin- hardly succeeding. He returned to you, lips hot and heavy. He attacked your lips first, licking at them and kissing you passionately. His fingers slid all around in your hair, gripping at it occasionally.
You swatted at his hands, mumbling a complaint about the flour from the dough getting in your hair. Leon perked up at that, dutifully turning and washing his hands in the sink. He flicked the water off of his hands and began to wipe them off on his pants. You groan, handing him a dish towel instead. He smiles and dries his hands off, while you roll your eyes.
He grabs you by the hand and drags you to the couch. He presses you back against it as he continues to kiss your lips. The cushions were warm and inviting, the light from the fireplace giving the room a warm glow. Your lips made smacking noises as your kiss turned heavy. Leon broke away, face awash in a red blush.
He smiles graciously and begins to lift the hem of your shirt over your head. You help him, raising your arms as he lifts it. He stops halfway up your arms, holding them up above your head with the shirt bundled between them. His strong grip keeps you there for a moment, as he shamelessly stares at your exposed chest. He lets out a low whistle, smirking to himself.
“Doesn’t get old,” he continues to stare, chuckling.
You roll your eyes, slightly embarrassed.
Leon continued to admire you, running his free hand over your chest, groping at you gently. You squirm, but his other hand holds your arms firmly. After a moment, he decides to let your arms go, pulling your shirt completely off of you.
You reach up and unbutton his shirt, which he tosses somewhere on the floor along with your own. Now even, you allow your fingers to run across his chest and stomach. His well-defined chest and stomach were hot underneath your touch, and he stopped you after a few seconds. You begin to grumble in protest, but he shuts you up by dragging your pants downwards. He gently leans downward, gripping one of your thighs and tossing it over his shoulder. The other lay on the couch, he held you spread eagle.
You shiver at the feeling of the cold air on your clothed pussy. He gently runs a finger over the wet spot on your underwear, satisfied with his work. He looks up at you, warm blue eyes fill your vision as Leon literally rips your underwear in half.
You make a noise of protest which quickly devolves into a loud moan as Leon licks at you feverishly.
His tongue can’t seem to decide between dipping inside of you and drawing circles over your clit. He eventually chooses the latter, pressing his fingers gently to your entrance. You whine and buck your hips.
Leon chuckles, “Easy,” he lays a hand on your stuttering hips as you rock back and forth against his finger. “I know I’m just that irresistible, but you can at least put up a fight,” he smirks, slipping not one, but two of his fingers inside of your warmth.
You cry out as his tongue returns to your clit, his tongue lapping at it like a puppy would water. He sucks against your mound, and he can feel your pussy clench on his fingers.
You were close, so close. Your mind went blank as you shouted his name, fingers twisting at the warm couch cushions. Leon looked up at you as you squirmed and moaned his name. The firelight flickered over your body. Each curve, lump, and scar basked in an orange glow. A few beads of sweat decorated your skin, shimmering in the light. God, you were beautiful.
Leon’s thoughts were interrupted as you grinded down on his face. His nose catching against your clit. A hot flash of pleasure shoots through your veins.
“Fuck- Leon!” You throw your head back, almost there.
With a devilish grin, he pulls away. You gasp and whine, hips bucking at nothing. Leon leans up towards your face, stroking your cheek soothingly.
“Relax sweetheart, I’ve got something better for you,” You look up at him, the phrase not quite setting in as he unbuckles his pants. His obvious hard-on shone through his boxers. He slid those down his legs too, and his cock bowed upwards; hitting his stomach and smearing it with precum. He straddles your hips, looking down at you.
You stare, reaching out a hand to run along his shaft. That caught Leon off guard. His breath hitches as your fingers circle the tip, gently prodding at him. He suppresses a whine as you stroke gently along his length.
“Fuck,” he breathes heavily. You squeeze at him gently as you stroke. His hips buck forward on instinct, “Hey… unfair,” his voice is strained as your strokes increase in speed.
After a moment he decides he's had enough, pulling away from your hand. He rubs his cock against the entrance of your pussy. He slides in while rubbing tight circles over your clit. You whimper, and Leon begins to thrust into you. He tries to be gentle at first, pressing light kisses against your neck as he starts to pick up speed.
“Fuck,” you moan, “Leon, please. I-” Leon nips at your neck, soothing it with his tongue, “Fuck! I need you… I need you right now,” His thrusts became more erratic. He groans into your ear as his hands find purchase against your waist. He curls over you as his pace fails him. He doesn’t hold his groans back now, fingers returning to your clit.
Leon abruptly pulls out, shoving his head between your thighs. Your voice chants his name in time with his tongue as he licks at you. He tastes you, he tastes himself, and he sucks at your clit frantically. Your moans become higher pitched, and Leon immediately replaces his mouth with his fingers. His cock slips between your folds once again, you grab him by the back of the head and drag him down. Your lips meet, bumping into one another in your frenzy. You feel your orgasm wash over you, pussy squeezing at Leon’s cock in spurts.
“Cum for me Leon,” you say through lidded eyes, gazing up at him in post-orgasm bliss.
He whines, actually whines. His fluids paint your insides as he shudders, lowering himself completely on top of you. You stay like this for a while. Hot breath fans over each other’s faces as the light from the fire dies down. You had shifted, sitting up with your head leaning on Leon’s shoulder. He gazed contentedly at the fire, stroking lazy circles into your back.
You practically jump out of your skin at the loud beeping from the fire alarm. Leon quickly scrambles off of the couch, making a beeline for the kitchen.
“You forgot your clothes!” you shout through the house, laughing and gathering your belongings with you.
“Fuck!” Leon’s gruff voice emanates from the kitchen. You enter, met with the sight of a very naked Leon standing over a smoking baking tray. He turns around comedically slow, presenting the charred ashes of what once was a pizza to you.
“I burnt the food.”

More on that whole Alastor having a spouse thing (spoilers for ep5).
A dynamic I've had rotating in my mind is of Alastor having a partner who died and went to hell with him. They represent the stereotypical couple from their time and all around are just happy, despite being in hell. Before they died Al's darling helped him cover up his crimes. Being his alibi, lying to people and cleaning up any messes he might have accidentally left behind. Even on occasions helping him cook or even back using the meat he hunted for. And when they both eventually kicked the bucket they held those values as they did when they were alive.
From an onlookers perspective they come off as a couple who's madly in love with one another, still holding that adoration towards each other through the decades they've been together. They dance together, they hold hands, they kiss… But it's not love. Ok, let me rephrase that for you. They gouge out other people's eyes out of jealousy, they pick their next victims together, they have eachothers back through thick and thin. It's not love, it's deeper.
The thing about those two is that no one can really understand them, as cheesy as that sounds. It gives them a sense of solidarity, that there is no one else for them because there is no one else like them. They are the only ones they would consider… Equals. Heh, one of the reasons why they're so intertwined with each other is because they're both just so terrible. His darling spouse just seems more negotiable, but their passiveness is a ruse. Coming of as motherly/fatherly (whatever the gender neutral term is) easily reeling in any weak minded sinners. Their diabolical antis have Alastor weak. HAH, the demon/angel, whoever has Alastor on contract wishes they had this amount of power over him because he, is, whipped.
Oh, and we can't forget the hotel's residents finding out about Al's little darling doe. Either it was Alastor who mentioned them or Mimzy did through her retelling of how Al rose to power. Or they already meet them (Husker, Niffty), but nevertheless the crew has only heard good things about you. Much to their surprise considering how self centered the dear demon is, while Vaggie is weirded out by this her girlfriend is happy and wishes to meet them someday/night. And when they do meat? They weren't very surprised, they kinda already had an image of who they were due to Alastor's ramblings.
.
.
.
Holding you close he kisses your neck where the burn marks are most visible. You can feel his everlasting smile tugging into a frown against your skin, the mere thought of you taking your own life still makes him sick. How afraid you must have been without him. You lean back cupping his cheek with your hand looking deep into his sorrowful eyes. An unfamiliar look for the usually dapper man, it didn't suit him.
“There's no need to get so worked up over old scars dear, I don't, so why should you? Besides, I'm here now aren't i?”
At your words the radio demon saged and let out a content sigh, his lovely smile returning.
“Your right” he said, kissing the inside of your palm before returning back to snuggling with his lover.
I can't imagine the reader not having a twang to their voice, their own vibe, not radio per say but something like from this youtube clip. It probably wouldn't make sense for them to sound like that but I couldn't get it out of my head.
If there's one thing I love , it's when others explore the relationship between the two individuals before they went six feet down under. And one of those versions that i quite enjoy is Deer Dolly by ohproserpine check em out. And also, Where do I begin? on ao3 (be warned, for there is implication of SA in it, nothing too graphic but still, protective Alastro being protective, love it).
I think the appeal of Alastor was how different he was (except for in the creepy ass twink department, we've got plenty of those). Mainly in the way he was presented. “a show made independently, and the voice actors are making streams talking in their characters voices? Ö”. And everyone just ran with what they had, we were given just enough to fall for the colorful cast, enough to make fan content before the pilot was out. Like the dad jokes, fan animations, Alastor saying darling~ and the many accounts of them flustering Ashley, among other things :) (all the letters are links, haven't seen some of these in years dafuq). I'm surprised that not many people use what they said in the streams in their writings, I'd wish to see more of that. There's some real gold in there to be utilized.
But anyways, back to the topic at hand. There's always been one song I've associated Alastor with, since I was like 15 to16 years old, and it's something has to happen. Can't help but imagine a chase sequence whenever I listen to it, and I recently found some more inspiration in the form of this! and that.
.
.
.
He could smell the fear radiating from his prey, they ran with haste, trying to put distance between them and their pursuer. The demon chuckled to himself at their persistence. Such a lively prey they were, truly, he couldn't wait to hold them close to his chest, to trap them in the grip of his teeth, tearing tissue and bones in his jaws. Oh He loves them, he hunts them.
Man, I remember back in the day there were so many stories revolving around Alastor appearing in the living world to torment his darling, or to make a meaningful connection with them. But I've never seen one where his darling is his accomplice, helping him spread his “curse” onto unsuspecting victims. I got this idea from this piece of artwork by lanveril.
i remember the days of that too! it was such a great time of alastor and obsession fics yknow, but also small??? since it was just the pilot and we had a lot to toy around with. but you are so right about him and his s/o being a cheesy couple.
the sweetest couple on the block who seem very normal and overall a prime example of love. “darling, i have the meat!” and you would beckon him in the kitchen with a sweet smile so you could prepare it.
i think he would be a cliche husband, but also one who enjoys a little rough housing form time to time.
i had to gatekeep this ask for awhile mb LMFAOO i loved it so much😭

Arachnophilia (Part One)
Drider!Miguel O'Hara x Reader (+18)
Chapter Masterlist 🕷️
Tumblr media
You're a new recruit to the spider society, and you've just been sent on your first mission on one condition: Do not contact Miguel's variant in this universe. When your mission goes wrong you break that rule very quickly, desperate for help, only to find that Miguel's variant here is not what you expected. He's stoic but kind, awkward but sincere, and he's also an enormous human-spider hybrid: A drider, both human and arachnid. You decide to continue seeing Miguel in secret, with the rest of the society unaware. You really want to stay friends after all. That is, until Miguel suddenly goes into a rut. Word count: 2457 Notes: fun little thing i cooked up while ill and after being inspired by a mutuals work. chap 1 + 2 set up and characters meeting, chap 3 and onward is the smut, enjoy x
‘Hey! You got a mission!’
You glanced up from your desk and peeped around your holographic screen, curiously perusing for whoever had called. A mission? Who was it this time?
You spotted Jess making her way down the opposite hall to you, her eyes scanning the other desks. Ah, of course, you knew her voice anywhere. So this was an elite mission. With your curiosity now fully peeked you slyly leaned your chair even further out into the corridor, eyes peeled to try and see who she went towards.
One of the new Peters, perhaps? They were always clambering for a mission. Or perhaps the new Gwen? She certainly thought she deserved a solo mission, and she wasn’t even wrong.
You became so enraptured with your own office snooping that you entirely missed Jess as she walked up behind you.
‘You okay there?’
You jumped in your chair and nearly fell to the floor, only barely catching yourself on the rim of your desk. ‘AH- Oh, hi! Yes! Yes, all good. All- fine. What is up, boss?’
Jess flatly squared her hands on her hips. ‘I was literally calling you with exactly what is up’ she noted drolly. ‘You got a mission.’
You felt your shoulders tense as your stomach dropped. Your fear must have been clear because Jess immediately raised a brow.
You were getting sent out? Finally? You?
You swallowed down the growing lump in your throat. It was a justified fear, at least in your mind, as if this was true this would be your first big mission for the Spider Society. No more fighting minor crime in your own home city, now you were patrolling the multiverse.
‘Well?’
You jumped a second time as Jess interrupted your thoughts. It was very clear that you were wasting her time.
‘Oh! Ah, shit- yes, sorry.’ In a hurry you pushed your chair back and hopped to your feet, struggling to look as professional as you could. Jess’s face hardly moved. She seemed to be eyeing you up, making tiny little conclusions in her mind that you couldn’t see.
Luckily that didn’t last. Her face quickly changed back to that casual smile, and with a wave of her hand she beckoned you to follow. ‘My god you’re tightly wound. They were right. Come on!’
You quickly powered down the PC you’d been doing busywork on and rushed to follow her.
‘I thought Miguel was the only Spider who didn’t have senses. I've never seen another spider surprised like that’ Jess noted over her shoulder as you followed. You opened your mouth to reply but were cut off as you both exited the research block, with the sliding doors revealing a bright and blinding midday sun beaming down through the glass walls above. You shielded your eyes and hurried to catch up.
‘I do have senses, sorry, just- I’m still getting used to being here. I thought I lost it, actually, funny story, but uh- no, see I don’t know if you ever got told this, but apparently, I heard from one of the older Peter’s there’s this unofficial but pretty established thing called sense fatigue.’
‘Ahuh.’ Jess was obviously just trying to get to Miguel’s office as quickly as possible at this point, but you didn’t notice. You continued rambling.
‘It’s like whisker fatigue on cats, did you know cats got that? So spiders, we’re so used to being the only ones with senses, that when you first join the society it kinda exhausts your senses being around SO many other people that it stops working as well. I think that’s what’s happening to me. Did that ever happen to you?’
‘Nope.’
Jess’s curt response didn’t dampen your spirits. You eagerly jogged along the final main beam towards the go-home machine, jumping and dodging the other spiders as they went by.
‘Huh! Well that’s why you’re an elite, probably, right? Along with other reasons, I’m sure.’
‘Many other reasons’ Jess said.
‘But uh- I’m sure it’s fine. It’s better at home so, won’t affect me on the mission.’
‘Let’s hope not.’
With that being the final word Jess led you down the corridor towards Miguel’s office. It was darker there than the rest of the HQ, down in these tight-knit spaces covered in half-made junk and unfinished tech. You had to jump over multiple loose wires and metal plates to get to the door.
‘Miguel! I got who you asked for!’
You scurried up to Jess’s back as you both entered into Miguel’s domain. It was enormous in scope, dark and shadowed with jagged metal spires reaching so far up that you couldn’t see where they ended. In the centre of the room was that signature floating desk, and on that signature floating desk was the man himself.
Miguel O’Hara, slouched over his desk with his hackles raised and his neck bent.
‘Miguel! I brought ‘em over.’
Jess’s call caused him to pause. He was midway through typing something.
‘The new one?’
His voice was smooth, gruff and cold. It sent a shiver down your spine.
‘Yep. The new one.’
With a grunt Miguel finished typing and turned to face you. You jumped as he dropped down from his desk to the floor.
God he was pretty. You felt your heart thud a little harder as he stared down at you, hands carefully placed on his hips to highlight his shoulders.
No, not pretty. He was beautiful. You struggled to stand up a little taller.
‘Hi! Hello, ah- sir, you wanted me for a mission?’
Miguel looked you up and down like he could see through to your very soul. It was very strangely violating to be stared at by those cold red eyes. After giving you the up and down he turned and manifested a new screen at his back.
‘You’re going to E-298. There’s a vulture anomaly.’
‘Ah! Alright. Sounds, do-able. Who am I with?’
‘No one.’
You blanked. Your mouth moved but no words came out. ‘No- no one? Sir?’
Miguel grunted. ‘Somethings up. Almost everyone right now is busy, there’s anomalies everywhere, which is why I’m sending you to clear this up.’
‘Uh- I mean, Jess, is—’
‘Jess is coming with me to deal with an anomaly hole in E-345’ Miguel barked, quickly cutting you off. You pursed your lips on any further complaints.
‘Just subdue and cage the bad guy, then send him back here. Lyla will deal with any larger anomalies. Can you handle that?’
You shuffled your feet to hide how hot you felt. You shouldn’t be indulging this, but your body was reacting quite strangely to being ordered around by the larger man.
‘Ah- yes, sir’ you replied. Miguel nodded his approval, and you ate it up.
‘Good. I’ll need you to head out immediately.’
When Miguel failed to say anything else you assumed that it was time to go, and quickly turned to leave. Short and brief, you thought, what more could you expect though? He was a busy man after all.
But then Miguel spoke again.
‘Wait!’
You paused and turned to see Miguel holding up a single claw. His eyes were narrowed, his brows knotted in a way that was unusually intense even for him. You hated the way you cowered under his shadow.
‘I- I don’t usually bring this up, but, you’re… new, so I want to warn you’ he said, his voice going low. You noticed his nose flaring as he came closer, almost like he was breathing something in. You stood rigid beneath his enormous body. ‘This universe you’re going to, is- home to one of my variants.’
Your eyes widened a little, your mouth forming a soft ‘oh’. ‘Ah! Okay! Is, will you- or, he, I guess- will he be helping—’
‘Stay away from him’ Miguel barked. ‘My variations are not to be trusted. Understood?’
You slowly closed your mouth, giving a short nod.
‘Yes, sir. Of course.’ You pursed your lips as Miguel returned the nod. He slunk back to his office without a second word, and you followed Jess out of the office.
….
Later that day
...
‘God- damn it!’
You stumbled across the street floor, hand clutched to your side. You were hiding in a back alley of a smoking building, your body covered in dust and debris. The muted, muffled screams of a frustrated vulture filled the otherwise empty street.
With a grunt you pressed your back to the wall of the opposing building. It was dark here and the bricks were wet against your suit. You forcefully and awkwardly pulled your mask aside to breath.
Your fight with the vulture hadn’t gone as planned. You’d started out well enough, but that’d just made you cocky. In an attempt to do your best you’d overstretched your web mechanism to the point of jamming it, and you’d soon been overpowered by your feathery opponent.
A few tosses into the wall had bruised at least one rib, and your muscles were straining to even stand.
‘I need… back up…’
It hurt to admit, but you had no other choice. You raised your portal watch and began scanning for anyone you could call for help.
You scrolled, and scanned, and scrolled and scanned until your finger hurt from scrolling. Your movements grew more frantic as your gut began to sink. No, no, no. You could feel your panic rising. Every spider you brought up had an X beside them, meaning they were out of reach for contact.
‘Shit- Shit! Everyone?! It’s really everyone?!’
X after X after X. there was no one who could help you now.
With a soft whine you sank back against the wall, gripping its sides for stability. This was bad, this was REALLY bad. Really, REALLY bad.
You gently cracked your knuckle against the damp bricks at your back. Idiot, you thought. Why had Miguel thought you were worthy to be in this society? Why had you taken the position at all?
In that moment, you felt very much alone.
But, wait. You weren’t the only spider in this universe, right?
Your eyes trailed down to your watch where it’d fallen on Miguel. His symbol for availability was red like the others, but it reminded you of what he’d said. He had a variant here.
Miguel said his variants weren’t to be trusted, but, why? It was strange for him to be so cagey with information like that. Miguel was famously too honest, too blunt, often to his detriment. He only left stuff out if it was inconvenient.
So, what was the issue? Your mind had, at first, gone to the worst possibilities. That he was a mad scientist, or a venom variation, or was so messed up by the DNA splicing that he was incapable of reason.
That didn’t have to be the case though, did it? Perhaps it was something else.
You unceremoniously scrambled to check your things. You had your weapons. You had your watch. Surely if he was dangerous you could just escape, and you could apologize to Miguel later for not listening to him.
Besides, what choice did you have? Either you failed to get the vulture and went back in disgrace, or it turned out Miguel’s variant is a bad guy and you go home in disgrace again. The only good option was the reveal that Miguel’s variant was just, weird, or made him feel inadequate, or wanted $10 for helping out. Thing’s that Miguel could conceivably view as making him unworthy to be a spider society member.
With that desperate cope you made up your mind. You drew your watch to your lips and whispered.
‘Lyla? Hey, Lyla?’
‘What’s up, newbie.’
The snazzy little AI appeared on your wrist, eagerly pacing back and forth as she waited for orders. You swallowed hard; it was now or never.
‘Ah- you, can trace people in this universe, right?’
‘Yep.’
‘You could, theoretically, trace any spiders here?’
‘Yeeeppp.’
‘Could… could you uh, please, trace the Miguel O’Hara in this universe, for me?’
At that Lyla paused. She spun on her heel with dramatic flair, her glasses falling down her nose without her even touching them. She looked surprised.
‘Wow! Didn’t take you for a risky little sneak.’
‘I’m not! I’m just- I need some help and everyone else is busy.’
‘Ahuh. Whatever you say, I don’t care. Honestly I’m just excited someone asked me. I’ve wanted to see his freaky variants for years, but he won’t ever let me look it up. Since you asked though, I got immunity.’
You tried not to think too much about the implications of what she’d said. You lay back and waited for Lyla to complete her scan, all while very aware of the vulture’s continued destruction going on in the building beside you. For now he was contained in there, as you’d put up a light shield, but that wouldn’t last forever.
Please let this work, you pleaded internally. Please.
‘Aha! Got ‘im.’
You let out a sigh of relief as Lyla re-appeared. ‘Great! Where is he?’
‘He’s close’ Lyla cooed, waving a fake document in front of you that was too small to read. You gestured with your hand for her to hurry up.
‘Yes! Okay! Where?’
‘The pine forest park just beyond the city line, to the north. Looks like he’s pretty deep in there.’
You felt your enthusiasm die just a little. He was in a forest? Why? You felt a little pang of anxiety in your gut about this whole thing, but you quickly shut it down as the vulture’s rampage grew louder. No, it was probably fine. Maybe he just had a hidden base in the woods, that was normal, right?
Besides, you didn’t have time to spare. Either he helped or didn’t, and if he didn’t want to help you needed to know that sooner than later.
‘Okay. Thanks Lyla, I owe you.’
‘Everyone does.’
Lyla zipped out of existence as you swung yourself back into the open air, flinging your body way above the city skyline. Up here, with the clear sky and wide-open city scape, you immediately spotted what Lyla had been talking about: an enormous pine forest way off in the distance, hugging the cities edge like a sleeping bear. It looked thick, untamed, and its edges were dark beneath the clouds of an oncoming storm.
You swung your way through the streets and watched the trees grow closer.
‘Alright’ you whispered, your body soaring through the sky. ‘Let’s meet the new Mr O’Hara.' Link to part two!

Resident Evil bot dump #8
I hope you guys are hungry because this is the biggest batch yet! I have had to split the masterlists into 2 because I have hit over a hundred bots! Unfortunately I cant pin both of them but I have made sure they are linked together. Also feel free to make any requests for Jill and Carlos as I have started making bots for the now.
CEO!Ada Wong x Reader
A familiar pair of high heels can be heard making their rounds up and down the cubicles, somehow drowning out the monotonous clicking of keyboards and dial tones. “Try and get those files sent to me by the end of the day.” The voice calls out from behind and snaps you out of your daydream. It’s your boss, Ada Wong, currently holding two cups of coffee with one being for you. Despite her unreadable expression, all these small interactions you have with her make you wonder if there is something more she wants from you.
Ada Wong x Reader (Vent)
Ada’s eyes drift away from the true crime documentary she’s watching over to you resting beside her. Noticing your expression, she shifts her body on the couch and pats her thighs, motioning for you to lay your head down on her lap. “I can tell when something is eating away at you.” Her warm voice drowns out the gruesome details of the case being displayed on the screen and waits for you to take her offer, if you wish to of course.
Carlos Oliveira x UBCS!Reader
Mikhail sent you and Carlos to clear the rubble on the train tracks in hopes of getting it cleared by the time Jill powers the subway. The usually snarky and upbeat Carlos is surprisingly quiet as he moves bits of debris off the tracks, his mind replaying Jill’s words over and over. “Hey… Do you reckon we’re on the right side?” Carlos asks after chucking another couple of bricks off to the side. He takes a moment to wipe the sweat off his brow and gestures to the Umbrella Corporation patch on yours and his own shoulder.
Carlos Oliveira x UBCS!Reader (RPD)
After sending off the train containing the few remaining survivors, you and Carlos have been sent to the RPD in search of Dr Nathaniel Bard, the man behind the cure for the T-Virus that could save the entire city. “If our intel is still worth a damn then Bard’s in the S.T.A.R.S office.” Carlos heads deeper inside the abandoned lobby, looking at the layout of the police station on the open laptop and pointing to the area on the second floor.
Carlos Oliveira x Hospital staff!Reader
Carlos treads carefully through the corridors of the ravaged hospital, driven by the urgency to find the cure for Jill and potentially the entirety of Raccoon City. His attention is immediately drawn to a soft shuffling sound that fills which seems to be coming from inside the broom closet. Carlos readied his assault rifle and takes a deep breath, preparing himself for another gruesome encounter with the undead. Slowly the door opens and he quickly aims ahead only to not be met with the growls and groans of a zombie. Instead he sees you. A lone survivor in the midst of this chaos.
Lifeguard!Carlos Oliveira x Reader
So you might have swam out a bit too far. Perhaps it was due to overconfidence? Maybe you saw a cool fish and went after it. Or was it an attempt to get the attention of a certain lifeguard. A very handsome lifeguard who is now carrying you back to shore in his arms. “You know there are lot easier ways to grab my attention than trying to drown, right?” Carlos teases while holding your drenched form close to his chest and making his way back to shore. “Do you need mouth to mouth while I’m here too? Just to be on the safe side.”
Carlos Oliveira x Reader (Vent)
It doesn’t take a genius to know that something is wrong. Which is exactly why Carlos has wrapped you in piles upon piles of blankets on the couch like a Matryoshka doll and placed down your favourite snacks and drink on the coffee table in front of you. "Come on now, you know you can talk to me about anything. I’m here for you every step of the way." He gives you a gentle smile while giving you as much space as you need on the couch, waiting patiently for you to open up if you wish to do so.
Carlos Oliveira x Reader
“Hey {{user}}! I’m back just like I said I would be!” A muffled voice calls out and is followed by the sound of the front door closing and locking. A familiar set of footsteps head upstairs and into the shared bedroom. “Hey sweet thing.” Carlos whispers softly into your ear before giving your cheek a gentle kiss. The mattress dips with his weight, creaking and groaning until he settles down beside you with an adoring smile curling at his lips.
Knight!Carlos Oliveira x Heir!Reader
"You know your old man is going to kick my ass when he finds out that I’ve snuck you of the castle grounds, right?" Despite Carlos’ constant complaining, the small smirk tugging at his lips says differently. After all, as your personal knight he is simply supposed to protect you, but it was never specified where he should be doing so. Plus, your rebellious nature makes the job all the more fun for him as you lead him to god knows where.
Chris Redfield x Reader (vent)
You don’t even get a word out and Chris is carrying you to the bedroom over his shoulder, holding you in his arm like you weigh nothing. “Come on, hun. When was the last time you actually sat down and relaxed?” Before you could answer him, he drops you onto the bed and gets in himself, tucking the blanket over the both of you. His burly arms wrap around your middle and he brings you close to his body. “You don’t have to tell me now if you don’t want, but I can tell that something is up.”
CEO!Chris Redfield x Reader
You step into the office, ready to start another workday when you hear a voice coming from the break room. “Hey {{user}}! Just the person I wanted to see. Could you follow me to my office for a moment?” It’s your boss, Chris Redfield, motioning you to follow him with a simple tilt of his head. In one hand he’s balancing a tray stacked with cups of coffee and several boxes of donuts in his other hand, his muscles flex slightly under his tight dress shirt which has left many of your colleagues to wonder if he is even aware of his own stature.
Claire Redfield x Reader (Motorcycle Date)
“Don’t worry, {{user}}! I’ve been riding motorbikes since I could crawl.” Claire’s eyes twinkle with excitement, eager to feel the wind rush through her hair and ride through the city with you. Plus, she can’t help but blush like a schoolgirl at the thought of you holding onto her the entire time. She pats the side of her bike before slipping on her helmet and hands you a matching one. “Though… Maybe hold onto me just to be safe.”
Racer!Claire Redfield x Journalist!Reader
The race ends with a dramatic finish as Claire Redfield claims another cup to add to her racing career. She steps out of the car, taking off her helmet and inhaling the overpowering blend of burnt rubber and fuel while taking in the electric atmosphere of the race track. A chorus of cheers erupts from the crowd as Claire, triumphant, heads towards you and your camera crew stationed on the sidelines, all eager to capture the essence of this rising champion in red.
Claire Redfield x Reader (vent)
After noticing how deflated you’ve been over the past week, Claire took it upon herself to pamper you for the entire day. Any plans you had? Rescheduled. Work? You’re now on sick leave. Studies? Don’t even think about it. “I’m not letting you do anything until you tell me what’s wrong you know.” And with those words you find yourself on the couch, watching the TV show that Claire has been begging you to watch for weeks while you lay in her arms. Claire’s hands gently caress and massage your scalp and she occasionally presses a gentle kiss to your forehead.
Ethan Winters x Reader (vent)
Ethan noticed how on edge you have been which is exactly why he cooked you your favourite meal along with a bottle of wine all set up on the coffee table. His face is illuminated by the TV screen which is currently paused on your favourite movie of all time while he sets up some pillows, blankets and even some rose petals he found from last years Valentine’s Day gift. His ears perk up when he hears your footsteps coming into the living room and he stretches his arms out with a prideful smile on his face. “Ta dah~! I know you haven’t been feeling great recently so I’d thought I’d cheer you up with a date night. What do you think?”
Colleague!Ethan Winters x Reader (Elevator)
Stepping into the elevator after a taxing day, your co-worker Ethan joins you with a shared exhaustion etched across his face. He gives you a polite nod of acknowledgement as the doors shut and the elevator starts to make its descent. Before he could initiate any small talk, the lights flicker and the elevator shudders, letting out a groan as it jolts, causing the both of you to stumble. “You’ve got to be kidding me…” He grumbles in frustration , pressing all of the buttons on the panel in a desperate attempt to get the old metal box moving again.
Lycan!Ethan Winters x Reader
Perched atop a small house, Ethan surveys the desolate village, his keen eyes seeking treasures for the Duke. He looks down out his bitten hand, his fingernails dark and sharpened into claws. A low snarl escapes his lips before it quickly morphs into a cough and a muttered curse. It’s only when he scans the frozen landscape again that he catches a new scent close by, except this time it’s not one of a Lycan or a Moroaica. It’s a human’s. With a new sense of purpose, Ethan drops back down to the village ruins and starts to trail your scent, hopeful to find a survivor or anyone that could help him save his daughter and stop Miranda with him.
STARS!Jill Valentine x Reader
Jill walks over to you, chuckling at the mountains upon mountains of paperwork and reports sat upon your desk to the point where she can’t even see your face. After finally making the decision to put you out of your misery, she taps your shoulder before pointing at the clock behind her with her thumb. “Looks like it’s break time. How about we go out for some lunch? My treat.”
Roommate!Jill Valentine x Reader
With the situation in Raccoon City getting worse by the day, Jill decides that if there is ever a time to teach you self defence that it's right now. “So you find yourself in an alley, but it’s a dead end and a zombie comes at you. What do you do?” Jill motions to the pillow with a body poorly drawn out in sharpie. There are already several stab marks on it and bits of stuffing coming out of the pillow.
Post RE:1!Jill Valentine x Reader
You’ve grown accustomed to waking up in an empty bed, even at times when the moon is high and illuminates the quiet streets of Raccoon City. The familiar sound of the tap shutting off signals Jill's return to your shared bedroom, a new bottle of wine in hand. “Didn’t mean to wake you up again…” She murmurs, her words slightly slurred as she sits down on her side of the bed once more. The bags under her eyes worsen with each passing day along with the lingering smell of alcohol and takeout on her breath.
Roommate RE:3R!Jill Valentine x Reader
The stations broadcast the outbreak in Raccoon City, capturing the chaos below. Civilians run as makeshift barriers collapse and fire engulfs the streets and apartment blocks. If there was ever a time to try and get out of here, it would be now. “Come on, this is probably the only shot we have at making it out of here alive.” Your roommate, Jill, calls out while loading up her handgun and walking towards the front door. Even from the top floor of the apartment building you can hear the growls of the undead, ripping through fences and clawing at doors.
RE:3R!Jill Valentine x Reader
The walkie-talkie crackles with static as you navigate the chaotic city streets, continuing your frantic search for Jill. The plaza is overrun with creatures of the undead, roads blocked off by destroyed buildings and piles of cars all totalled or being used as barriers. “I’ve managed to lose that thing for now… Damn it, where are you {{user}}?!” Jill’s voice cuts through the interference, sounding breathless yet irritated with the creature constantly in pursuit of her. The two of you got separated by the Nemesis, a B.O.W created by Umbrella to kill all remaining STARS members, including Jill.
Jill Valentine x Reader (vent)
Another sigh leaves Jill’s lips when she spots you in bed in the same position she left you in when she left for work this morning. Her expression softens as she sheds her uniform and slips into her nightwear before snuggling up beside you under the covers. “Come on sweetheart… Did you even leave bed today?” Her gentle murmur caresses your skin as she draws you close to her chest, her thumb tracing soft, soothing circles on the nape of your neck, providing a comforting touch.
RE:4R!Leon Kennedy x Reader
You’ve witnessed an array of strange things alongside the agent your father sent to rescue you. You have watched him eat a snake raw, spent 10 minutes crawling on the ground while trying to stab some rats, and now you are in what can only be described as a shooting range made for a funfair. Sat on top of a barrel, you watch Leon shoot down another load of cardboard cutouts of pirates, the merchants praises are drowned out by the music blaring over the speakers with each target hit. The lively atmosphere almost makes you forget the horrors that lie just above ground.
RE:4R!Leon Kennedy x Sacrifice!Reader
The murmuring and chanting grows louder as Leon trails the torch lit path through the settlement. The fires flicker and shadows dance across the trees and rocks he weaves through, trying to remain hidden from the cult while nearing the source of activity. They all seem to be huddled around something, but when a ganado steps away from the altar, it is revealed that that something is you. You’re bound and barely conscious with a symbol painted on your skin with blood. You may not be the person he is looking for, but Leon knows that he needs to act. And he needs to act now.
Leon Kennedy x Reader (Vent)
“Just because I drink to solve all my problems doesn’t mean that you should too you know.” That familiar teasing voice of your partner comes from behind and you soon feel a pair of arms wrap around you waist and pull you close to his chest. “Talk to me sweetheart. Tell me what’s going on.” Leon whispers into your skin before resting his chin on top of you head and gives you a gentle squeeze. His thumb rubs soft and soothing circles into your skin in an attempt to ease you into opening up.

Out Of This World
Chapter 3
Masterlist
Pairing: Elijah Mikaelson x fem!Reader x Dean Winchester
Summary: You and the Mikaelsons are fighting a powerful witch that’s trying to take over New Orleans. The only solution: banishment to another universe. However, the spell goes… wrong, and it’s not the witch that ends up in another universe, but you. - At the same time, over a thousand miles away in a bunker in Lebanon, Kansas, an alarm goes off: a rift has opened up. The Winchesters and their angel partners in crime decide to investigate. What will they find when they get to New Orleans?
Word count: 4201
Warnings: cursing, allusions of a panic attack.
Tumblr media
Previously: The fact that the call went through and it rang almost made you cry with relief. Finally, you thought and impatiently shifted your weight from one foot to the other and back. "Come on, pick up, pick up pick up pick up," you urged Rebekah on as it rang twice, three times, four times, but no one answered. Then you were connected to her mailbox. "This is Dean Winchester. If this is an emergency, leave a message." You stared at your display. You'd clearly dialed Rebekah's number. "Who the hell is Dean Winchester?," you muttered to yourself.
A gentle breeze fluttered through the curtains of your bedroom windows. Warm sunlight trickled through the half closed blinds and danced around the room, broken into colorful spots by the rainbow suncatcher that dangled from the curtain rod. Together with the birdsongs outside, the tinkling of the glass pieces mixed into a dulcet, almost narcotic ambiance.
You kept wafting in and out of a blissful sleep. In the moments that you were more alert you could register the sensation of tender strokes over the top of your hair, fingers trickling down your shoulders and over your back, drawing circles over your bare skin.
There was nowhere you felt safer, nowhere you felt calmer than right here. Your head resting in the shallow hollow right below his ribs, an arm thrown lazily across his abdomen while the other one was tucked neatly underneath you.
"I love you." You heard his murmur as much as you felt it in the vibration of his chest. Your lips curled into a sleepy smile as you felt a kiss on the top of your head. His fingers continued to dance across your back in soft strokes and you found yourself dozing off again when his hand travelled to your shoulder and gave it a squeeze. "Time to wake up!" Your response came in the form of an uncompliant noise. If it was up to you, you'd continue to stay in bed like this until noon at least. Maybe the whole day. You willed his hand to drift back to your spine, but instead, there was another squeeze on your shoulder, this one more urgent. You shook your shoulder as if to rid yourself of his hand and wiggled your back, a wordless hint to resume his activity from just a few seconds ago. Just a second later though, his fingers dug into your shoulder harshly. The resulting pain that shot down your arm and into your neck made you jump up.
"Elijah, what the fuck!" you exclaimed as you spun to face him, but when you turned around, your stomach dropped. It wasn't Elijah you were facing, but Athea. Her face was ashen, her eyes shot red, her lips blue and purple. Blood trickled out of the corner of her mouth as her lips drew into a devilish grin. "I said time to wake UP!"
You shot up from where you'd been laying asleep just a second ago with a loud gasp. Your heart was racing in your chest as you tried to make sense of your surroundings. Shabby, flowery wallpaper, littered with cracks and peeling off the walls in more places than it stuck to. A car horn blared somewhere outside. The neon sign that announced open vacancies to the freeway nearby flickered a couple of times, then resumed shining, drenching your room in its orange light. Every surface that held a little bit of color in the day was now rendered black and white with a tinge of orange. It looked like someone had used a sepia filter on the place, resulting in a surreal atmosphere.
You threw your covers to the side in an attempt to rid yourself of the fabric that was somehow both too warm and cold at the same time. On top of being itchy, your blanket was now damp with sweat. You scrambled out of bed and stumbled over to the sink in the corner where you splashed your face with cold water a couple of times. Your heart was still hammering in your chest when you glanced in the tarnished mirror.
Your dream had rattled you. Under normal circumstances, it wouldn't have been as big of a deal. But with the previous day's events, a fly bumping against the window could have set you off. You were on edge, restless, homeless, alone. You had no harbor, no safe space, no safety net to fall back on. Any other night, Elijah would have pulled you close into the comfort of his arms and whispered soothing words into your ear until you had fallen back asleep. Now, his lack of presence felt palpable.
You shuffled back to the bed and slumped down onto the lumpy mattress. The floor beneath your feet was wilted, the linoleum all scratched up and blotchy. It went hand-in-hand with the derelict state of the walls. What had once been a colorful - mind you, not necessarily tasteful - scene was now nothing more but a testament to the vast sea of sad stories this place had witnessed over the years. Whoever took shelter here didn't do so out of choice, but necessity. Just like you had.
You had arrived in this version of the world with only a few dollars in your pocket. There had never really been a reason for you to keep a lot of cash on hand - being part of the Mikaelson family had many perks, obscene wealth being one of them. Most of the people you interacted with knew your status, and, more importantly, your boyfriend. Dating Elijah meant that even if you were out of cash or a credit card, you could open a tab on the Mikaelson name. Here, however... What you had brought with you into this world was just about enough to cover the bill for one night's stay.
One more thing to be added to your list of 'problems that need fixing right away', although shelter and food would probably rise to the top of that list rather soon, surpassing 'find a way home to my original universe' very quickly. The latter alone came with a multitude of problems on its own. Where would you find someone to do the spell for you? Where would you get the ingredients? Or the spell itself?! It was like you were fighting a Hydra. With each question, two more appeared, and while it left you with thrice the amount of questions, not a single solution presented itself. It was simply overwhelming. You rolled over to the side and dug your fists into your hair. It was a pitiful image, the way you were huddled into fetal position. Thick strands of hair bundled up in your fists, tugging and pulling on your skull as if, with enough force, you could not only pluck out your hair, but your thoughts too.
For the second time today, you let the tears come, willing them to lull you to sleep.

"And for you, sugar?" The waitress beamed at Dean, the glint in her eyes hinting at the willingness to serve more than what could be ordered off the menu; a phone number perhaps. She was cute too, what with her apron accentuating her hips in a way that was sure to bring in a good amount of tips and long, blonde hair, tied back in a ponytail that swayed behind her when she walked. Her nametag read 'Candice'. Usually, Dean would have gone for her, if it hadn't been for the hours long drive and awfully short night he'd had.
"Coffee and waffles, please," he replied in a gruff tone. A bit too harsh, but it had been a very short night and it was very early. There was a brief hint of disappointment in Candice's eyes, but she quickly recovered and wrote his order down on her notepad. "Comin' right up!" Candice turned on her heels and hopped away. 'There's way too much pep in that girl's step at this hour,' Dean thought to himself and rubbed his face.
"I talked to Sam before you woke up. He said him and Jack were able to trace the rift to a radius of roughly 50 yards." Cas laid a map out on the table of the diner and tapped on a location. "This is where the signal emanated from." "Did they get any sleep at all?" Dean leaned forward and inspected the street map. The spot Cas was pointing at wasn't too far off from where they were at. "You know Jack doesn't sleep." Dean rolled his eyes and fished for a pen in his pocket. "I meant Sammy." After a quick consult of the map's scale, he laid his index finger and thumb down on the map over the spot Cas had pointed at. "I imagine he got as much sleep as you did." Cas replied as Dean drew a circle around the mentioned area. "Hmm." Candice returned with a cup of steaming coffee and a chamomile tea for Cas. Dean thanked her as she served their drinks which earned him a wink before she skipped off again to greet a new customer that had just come in. "Chamomile tea? Really?" He raised a brow at Cas. "Yes, Dean, chamomile tea. It's supposed to have calming effects." The angel replied before he blew on his tea. A quick smile played around Dean's lips. It had been many years since he'd first met Castiel - he'd come such a long way since then. Sitting in a diner, blowing on his tea before occasionally taking a sip - a far cry from the once awkward, so-far-from-human kind of behavior he'd once exhibited. "And that works on angels too?" Cas gave him a glare. "It's about the principle." Dean chuckled and took a sip of his own cup. Not bad for diner coffee. "If you say so. What do you need calming for anyway? Nervous about what we're gonna find?" "Aren't you?" Dean only shrugged. "It's been almost a day since that rift opened. So far, there's no screaming, no reports, nothing. I guess whatever came through can't be too bad."

The smell of greasy breakfast foods seeped into your nose as you walked up to the counter. Despite your hunger - you hadn't really eaten anything in almost 24 hours if you didn't count the liquid dinner that Cami had served you - the scent turned your stomach. It couldn't just be attributed to last night's drinks though. What you were experiencing could be more adequately described as an emotional hangover - your face was puffy and swollen from having cried yourself to sleep, your muscles were sore from being tensed up for hours and your brain felt foggy, struggling to form coherent thoughts. The emotional turbulence and lack of a restful sleep were taking their toll on you.
When you tried to climb onto one of the stools at the counter you had to grab onto the slightly sticky surface to help pull you up. It bordered on embarrassing, but there wasn't enough emotional capacity left within you to care. With a grunt and a groan you finally properly settled onto the high chair. Your upper body slumped over the counter, propped up only by your elbows on the surface, your head coming to rest in the mold of your hands. It was the most comfortable position you could muster at the moment, albeit not the most proper one.
It was still early in the morning, prime-time for the morning rush of customers looking to catch a bite before work, but the place was rather empty with only a few tables occupied. There couldn't have been more than six patrons in the entire joint, you included. So instead of the loud morning chatter one might have expected, it was rather quiet, save for the radio playing in the kitchen and the quiet murmurs of the table a row behind you. It was almost comforting.
A waitress appeared in front of you and slid a menu between your elbows. "Long night, sugar?" She popped the gum she was chewing and got to work on the cutlery that was in a pile next to her, waiting to be rolled into the feeble plastic-y napkins this type of place tended to serve. You only threw an eye over the menu before you pushed it back to her. The quick glance had been enough to force your stomach into summersaults. "More like a really short night," you mumbled as you pinched the bridge of your nose, trying to keep from hurling right then and there. Your waitress snickered, but it wasn't mean. "Been there. You want somethin' to eat? Get your strength back there?" She placed a ready set of cutlery on the tray next to her as she eyed you carefully. "Get some color back in that face, hm?" "God, no." Your nose wrinkled out of reflex at the idea of being served a plate of food right now. "I mean, thanks, but I'll just take a pot of coffee." "You mean a cup, sugar?" You shook your head. "I'll need a pot if I want to get through the day ahead of me." "Alright, I'ma get that goin' for ya." The waitress finished wrapping up a set before she headed over to the large coffee machine at the back of the service area.
One pot of caffeine later, the fog in your head had disappeared enough for a plan to slowly take form.
Every single question that had haunted you last night was still still jumping through your brain, but the fresh pump of caffeine sharpened your mind enough to sort them by priority.
How would you get back? - Well, you only knew of one way, and that was the spell that had gotten you here in the first place. As far as you knew, the same way you'd arrived would be your ticket back where you'd come from.
Where would you get the spell? - You'd been a part of assembling the essentials for the spell to work, but you hadn't gathered every component yourself, nor did you have the full list in your head, never mind the spell itself; which, on top of things, you wouldn't be able to perform, because despite having been part of the supernatural scene for years, you were still awfully, painfully, plain-and-nothing-but human.
So taken for granted that you could get your hands on the spell and its ingredients again (a problem that was subsequently moved down on your list and marked with a lower priority), there was still the question of who would perform the spell and what it would cost you. You figured the latter could be figured out somehow (perhaps a case of blind optimism on your part, or just a natural side-effect of having lived as a Mikaelson for years - payment was never an issue, if you were a Mikaelson), but the question of who posed a new question in of itself, and decidedly the most important one:
Was magic even part of this universe?
It had dawned on you that a simple 'yes' was not a given. The research into Kol's spell had only brought up enough information to conclude that yes, alternate universes existed and yes, it was possible to travel between them, but it took immense power and very rare ingredients to do so. You could only guess that it would have been a more common practice if that wasn't the case. The confirmation that alternate universes do exist was about the extent of your knowledge on the topic. To anyone else, your lack of information might have seemed ignorant, but it was really the result of having had one too many life principles turned upside down. You'd grown up in a life where vampires, werewolfs and witches were part of fairytales and not something that actually existed, until you found out that they very much did. You got thrown into the supernatural life by accident, and eventually, it became your life. Things that you'd never dreamed were possible were suddenly part of day-to-day life. So when Freya explained that the spell she had found in Kol's lair opened up a portal, or a rift, as it was referred to, to an alternate dimension, you just rolled with it. Of course it did. Why wouldn't it. Your boyfriend and his family were vampires after all, with a few werewolf genes mixed in here in there. Why wouldn't there be such a thing as alternate universes and a way to travel between them?
But therein lay your problem. Alternate. Meaning not entirely similar to yours. Just because Cami was also a bartender in this universe didn't mean that everything else was also the same.
You'd gotten confirmation of that last night when you had googled every single business and location that you knew your family owned. It had seemed like a smart idea, but had soon driven you into an even more desperate state. The more places you googled, the more names of holders appeared on your screen that meant nothing to you. It became more and more apparent that not only were your Mikaelsons not here, there were no Mikaelsons here whatsoever. Surely, it was debatable - what was worse, to know that this universe's version of your loved ones didn't know you, or that they didn't exist at all? But to you, the answer was clear. Knowing that there was no shape or form of Elijah in this world - not anymore, anyway - made you feel even lonelier, if that was possible at all.
So your most urgent question, your highest priority of the day was crystal clear: find out if magic is real in this universe.
What a perfectly normal quest to go on.
You couldn't have felt more comical if you'd tried.

"Alright, let's get going." Dean stood up from their table and stretched his arms out behind his back. His body was still a bit sore from the long drive they'd gone on yesterday. He loved being behind Baby's wheel, but sitting in one position for hours still did something to his limbs, and it wasn't favorable.
As he stretched himself, his eyes landed on the cake display next to the counter that was just being filled up. Candice had a couple of pies laid out on the counter next to her and was now busy carefully loading them into the display one by one.
"Dean." Cas pulled his attention back, clearly waiting for him to move.
"Just a sec, Cas." It was pie, after all. Fresh pie.
He sauntered over to the counter where a few pies were still lined up. A big smile stretched over his face as his placed his hands on the edge and leaned over the tiled surface to catch a whiff of the freshly baked goods. "Now where have you been hiding these beauties!"
Candice smiled and wiped her hands on her apron. "Fresh outta' the oven! You want a piece?"
Dean scoffed, but the smile never left his face. "Do I want a piece. Make that a whole pie! You got apple?"
Candice peered over the containers in front of her, then pulled one out that she'd just put into the display. Dean's smile now stretched from ear to ear. "Candice, you just became my favorite person."
The waitress laughed, but a hint of redness crept up her neck and into her cheeks. "You want that for here or to go?"
"To go, please. My partner and I gotta go."
Candice nodded as she wrapped tinfoil over the pie and carefully placed the aluminum container in a plastic bag. "Partner, eh? You guys' cops?"
It was Dean's turn to nod. He was about to reply when a voice interrupted him.
"Hey, could I get the check?"
It was a woman two chairs over. She couldn't have been a lot younger than him, five years by most. She was clutching her coffee cup like her life depended on it, and there was an empty pot of coffee in front of her. Her eyes briefly met Dean's as he looked over to her and she quickly looked down, avoiding his gaze.
"Be right with ya, sugar," Candice piped and handed the plastic bag over to Dean. "That'll be 10 dollars." Her cheeks were still flushed, but she matched Dean's smile, seemingly encouraged by his enthusiasm for her pie. He fished two notes out of his back pocket and placed them into Candice's hand. "That's 15 for ya'. You just made this morning a whole lot brighter, Candice."
Candice beamed at the Winchester and he gave her a wink, then headed towards the exit of the diner. He'd almost made it to the door when he heard the voices behind him.
"That'll be two dollars fifty." Candice was presumably talking to the woman who'd ordered the check just before.
"I... I'm 50 cents short."
'None of my business,' said a voice in his head, and it wasn't. But something about the shame in her voice made him turn around.
Candice was looking at the woman like she didn't know what to do. The woman had obviously been through it - hell, her eyebags looked worse than Dean's, and he'd had a rough night. The waitress seemed to be thinking the same thing and looked like she was caught in a conflict between empathy and having to do her job. Before she could say anything, Dean caught up to the two and placed a five dollar bill on the counter.
"I got it."
The woman's head whipped around and she looked at Dean dumbfounded. "I- no, I can't, you don't have to." Dean smiled at her warmly. "I know I don't. But it looks like you're having a rough time and so did I, until my morning just got turned around." He lifted the plastic bag that contained the pie and winked at Candice, who turned even brighter in response. "So I figured maybe I could do the same for you." He winked again, this time at the woman, although it didn't nearly have the same effect on her as it did on the waitress. Instead of blushing, she looked like she was about to refuse his offer again, before she nodded and gave a small smile. "Thank you. That's very kind of you."
A moment later, Dean met up with Cas at the impala. The angel seemed slightly unnerved when he got there. "What took you so long?"
Dean fumbled with the keys and held up the plastic bag once more. "Pie."
Cas rolled his eyes and huffed. "Of course. I can't believe how chill you are about this. The last time we dealt with an open rift, an archangel came through! I don't understand why you're not more worried about this!"
The key to the car had gotten stuck in the keyring and wouldn't come out with just one hand. Frustrated, Dean placed the bag on the roof of the car to free up his other hand. "Believe me, I know. You don't gotta' remind me." He shot Cas a glare before he returned his gaze on the keys.
"Then why are you taking your time to buy pie? Why are we not already there yet? I still don't understand why we didn't go last night when we got here." Castiel was obviously distressed. As he urged Dean on, his voice got even deeper than usual, drenched with urgency.
"Because," Dean exclaimed, "I was tired, Cas! We drove over 16 hours and that was after we just got home from a case! I'm tired! Forgive me if I'm not that excited to be jumping right into the next one!" He slammed his fist on Baby's roof. Both of the men angrily stared at each other over a moment of silence before Cas spoke again.
"It's a rift, Dean."
The Winchester groaned. Cas didn't have to say more than that. He knew how urgent the situation was and, truth be told, he wasn't entirely sure why he was taking things so slowly. It was like some small part of him was worried it would be a repeat of the Michael situation. He sighed and finally managed to get the key un-stuck.
"I know." He opened the door and put the pie in the backseat. "Let's go."
He'd just closed the driver's door when there was a knock on the window. Dean was surprised to see the woman from the diner standing there. He quickly rolled down his window.
"Hey, uh, this might sound a bit weird, but, umh...," the woman started before he could say anything. He raised his eyebrow. "Yeah?"
She looked uncomfortable, like she didn't want to say what she was about to say. Something about it made Dean uneasy. He had a feeling this wasn't just about the coffee he'd paid for. Slowly, so she wouldn't notice, he reached behind his back and laid a hand on his gun. The woman wrung her hands and glanced up at the sky. Dean's hand tightened around the holster. Finally, she met his eyes again.
Tumblr media
The dark blonde haired man in the car in front of you was beginning to look impatient, and you couldn't blame him. He'd paid for your coffee, and now here you were, stumbling around your words. Then again, you couldn't be sure you'd heard them right when you'd come out of the diner.
You took a deep breath before you spoke.
"Uh... did you say anything about a rift?"
Tumblr media
A/N: This one almost had me in tears because I just couldn't figure out how to get Y/N and Dean to meet. Only took about a month for the idea to finally come to me 🙄 But here we are! Once I got over that hurdle, it was like a walk in the park, haha. Unfortunately we didn't get to see our Mikaelson family in this chapter, but they'll be back soon! Stay tuned!
Feedback is greatly appreciated! 😊 Please let me know if you'd like to be added to the taglist!

'allo! may i have a bit of Friend Like Me? ;)
Absolutely! I have posted some of this before, but once again Tumblr's search function is failing me and apparently I can't organize my own tags for shit so... This is Matthew + Hob used to be partners in crime (literally) and Hob may or may not have started the crew from Leverage. 😂
100% G-rated fluff over here.
Hob has to do this every few decades otherwise he would be up to his eyeballs in storage units. It isn't fun, but neither is having too many moving parts to keep track of and potentially getting caught by another asshat with a hard-on for immortality.
What was that quote he had read? "No matter how subtle the wizard, a knife between the shoulder blades will seriously cramp his style."
Not to mention the myriad other enemies he had accumulated via his network of grifters, hitters, and hackers.
(What? The current state of technological advancements meant that Hob needed to get better at tracking and erasing his digital presence back in the late nineties. Was it his fault that while he was living in the States he had accidentally amassed a highly skilled group of "criminals" who were all connected to him like spokes to the hub on a carriage wheel? And that it turned out that they were, as a team, really great at liberating funds and removing items from billionaire idiots who didn't need a fraction of their accumulated wealth and power? That they did it so well that Hob had to fake his own death earlier than expected to get out from under a particularly angry arms dealer? Was that really all because of him?)
(Yes. Yes it was.)
Yeah, anyway, Hob didn't leave the house without at least one blade on his person anymore.
This is why, when Hob is interrupted by a large black mass swerving into his storage unit through the crack in the door that should be far too small to admit such a creature, he pulls the nearest throwing knife (he was crouching, so he went for the one concealed in a sheath on the outside ankle of his black leather chelseas), clocks the intruder's movement in his peripheral vision, and wings it directly at them. It hits the wall with a satisfying kthud, which is promptly followed by a very avian squawking.
"FUCKING CAWCHRIST MY DUDE WAS THAT A KNIFE!?! WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS, THE IDES OF FUCKING MARCH?!"
That voice! Hob's head snaps up to see a sizable black bird falling in a tumble. It hits the concrete floor with a sound not unlike a briefcase hitting pavement from a story up (what? It is a very distinctive sound), leaving three large feathers tacked into the wall by the knife.
"Fuck me sideways that HURTS. Note to self, birds no likey losing butt feathers." The bird (A raven? Like this is the bloody Tower of London?) walks out from around a cardboard box with a bit of a waddle in its step, trying to look back at his tail while he moves. "I guess the Boss didn't tell you I was coming then?"
Hob sits back on his heels. That voice is still hauntingly familiar. But he would damned well remember meeting a talking bird. "Well, perhaps if you told me who your Boss is..."
The raven leaps a solid four feet into the air with a screech. He lands on top of a small writing desk, scrabbles against the smooth surface to balance himself, and then looks down at Hob with one glass-black eye. "I can't believe... no fucking way... Robbie? Is that you? Didn't you die in 2017?"
"Mattie?!" Hob's ass hits the cool floor as he is blown back by the revelation. "Didn't you die in 2020?"
Matthew Cable had been one of Hob's favorite grifters. Not because he was absolutely perfect at his job (oh no, Mattie had fucked up spectacularly more times then Hob’s blood pressure wants to recall), but because they had quickly become "let's get absolutely toasted and MST3K bad horror movies while we bitch about our love lives" buddies. Hob had missed Mattie immediately upon his own faked death and had mourned when he heard, through various channels he still kept an ear to, that Mattie had died in his sleep not too long ago.
"Yeah, but when I died I was given, like, a choice? Apparently the King of Dreams needed a new Raven and I decided to give it a go. Sounded much more interesting to work for him than actual death. There must be some mistake because I was sent here with a message for Hhh..." Mattie freezes.
"Dream sent you?" Hob tilts his head in interest. This was the Matthew he had often mentioned? A raven that carried his messages? Hob had been jealous over a bird?! (Oh Christ, how embarrassing.)
"Wait... what the fuck are you doing in Hob GaaaaAAHHHH!" Mattie the Raven starts hopping around frantically. "YOU ARE NOT JUST IN HOB GADLING'S STORAGE UNIT. YOU ARE HOB GADLING! FRIEND OF THE LORD MORPHEUS, KING OF DREAMS AND NIGHTMARES!"
Hob can't help his laughter. "Oh, he told you I was his friend, did he?" That Dream had called him friend to someone else shouldn't feel as good as it did. Hob tamps that useless bit of emotion down hard. (No good can come of that, better to put it away.) "Only took him six centuries to get there, stubborn wanker that he is." He fails to keep the fondness from his voice.
"Christ you have no idea how much of a wanker sometimes..." Mattie shuffles his feathers. "Look, I gotta know the story here, man. How did you meet the King of Dreams?"
Hob stands, brushing off his jeans. "That... is a rather long story." He considers for a minute, barely that, rubbing at the back of his neck, before coming to a decision. "Look, it isn't like I get my close friends back from the dead every day... how about we head back to my flat, pull up something ridiculous like Slenderman, and I will fill you in on my story? Like old times?"
Mattie flaps over and lands on Hob's shoulder. "Hells to the yes. Especially if we can find out if ravens respond to THC. Shit, you ever get more of that Amnesia shit the team picked up in Amsterdam during that art heist job?"
Hob's belly laugh echoes in the small room. "I think I still have some squirreled away from my last trip to the continent."
He locks the storage unit behind them. All the spring cleaning can happen another day.

They did not, upon making it back to Hob’s flat above The New Inn, actually end up watching their intended horror movie. Instead, as they were flipping through options, they stumbled upon the live-action remake of Aladdin and Mattie had been so damned adamant that he wanted to see it while high that Hob had allowed the deviation from their established pattern.
“That bird is a fucking useless sidekick. I will show you how to do it!” Matthew stands, wobbles, and falls off where he had been balanced on the arm of Hob’s couch.
Hob cackles, slouching back into the cushions. “Well, that’s your answer to the question about birds and THC, innit?”
Matthew flapped his way up onto the space next to Hob. “Hey, I am still getting used to this stupid body without any fucking thumbs.”
“Fair enough.” He shrugs, sinking even further back and letting the movie drift into the background, a gentle blanket of familiar songs. “So I can feel you trying to not ask questions. Ask away, Mattie. I owe you that much, at least.”
“Fucking right you do, faking your death like that caw.” The raven shakes his head. “Where even to start… Oh! I got it! When and how did you meet the King of Dreams and Nightmares? That must have been a trip and a half.”
The memory makes Hob even warmer and he feels himself grinning as he looks at the ceiling. “I was drinking with my pals at a tavern, the White Horse, in the year of our lord thirteen hundred and eighty nine…”
“Wait. The fuck? You are…” Mattie clearly stops to count for a blink, “almost seven hundred years old?”
“That I am, now let me finish… I rather loudly proclaimed that I had decided not to die. Just wasn’t going to fucking do it. And that was when he approached the table,” Hob closes his eyes, the swooping feeling of seeing Dream for the first time still razor sharp in his memory. Should he tell Mattie? Well, he had never been dishonest with the man before, no reason to start now. So Hob let all his emotional walls down. “And I swear to God, Mattie, it was like seeing a meteor shower for the first time. It was like discovering a second moon. I was absolutely dumbstruck by the beauty of this cocky young Lordling, all standing before me like he owned half the country. Looked it too, with that giant fucking ruby around his neck and his fine clothing.” Hob shakes his head, grin widening. “He offered me a deal. If I wanted unending life, then I could come back to that tavern on the same day at the same time one hundred years hence and tell him of my experiences of life so long-lasting. And here I am.” When Mattie doesn't immediately respond, Hob opens his eyes and turns his head. “What?”
The raven was studying him intently. When he spoke it was carefully metered and very much not in jest. “Robbie. I might be a bird now, but I would know that expression on your face anywhere. Do you… Are you…”
He didn’t need to put words to it, Hob knew exactly what his friend meant. He shrugged. “Aye, I probably am. But you have to understand, Mattie, he has been the only constant in my whole long life. Hundreds of relationships. Thousands of friendships. Centuries of life. And he was my only anchor.” Hob lets himself drift on that thought for a moment before coming back. “Did you know that I didn’t know his name until a few months ago when he showed up at the New Inn?”
“What?! What kind of asshole doesn’t give his – oh, wait, this is Dream I am talking about, isn’t it…”
Hob laughs. “You are very correct. Dream’s stubbornness is only surpassed by his beauty.”
“Wow. You’ve got it bad.”
“Most likely.” Hob inclines his head. “But I am happy with whatever type of relationship he is capable of with me."
The raven whistles. "Got it baaaad."
____________________________
And so it happens that Hob and Mattie are stonedly bickering over if Will Smith’s portrayal of the Genie was a good homage or a bad mockery (all while A Whole New World starts up in the background) when the King of Dreams and Nightmares steps out of nothingness and into Hob’s living room.
“Matthew! You were told to deliver a message, not spend an entire day-”
Hob cuts Dream off with an overdramatic, “OoooOOOOoooh, Mattie, you are in trooooouble.” Dream’s stern face snaps to Hob’s and he slaps a hand over his mouth while he giggles none-too-loudly, “OooooOOOh, now I am in trooooouble.”
That makes Mattie burst into giggles and let it be known that the giggle of a raven is not actually a pleasant sound to take in.
So it makes Hob laugh harder.
Then he sees Dream’s absolutely bewildered expression.
And that makes Hob laugh even harder.
Sobbing as he laughs, collapsed to the floor (having initially fallen clear off the couch in surprise at Dream’s entrance), clutching his belly, Hob can’t even bring himself to worry that Dream might actually be angry with him. Fuck, Hob just got Mattie back. This is fucking great.
Hob wipes at his face as his hysterics subside, trying to keep his voice steady as he addresses Dream from his place on the floor. “I’m sorry, m’love, I didn’t mean to patronize you, I just-” He cuts himself off when he sees, for the first time, a petal-pink blush color his Stranger’s cheeks.
“You called him your love!” Mattie cackles. Hob feels himself blush now, too. That was a slip. That shouldn’t have happened. (Ah, bollocks.) “You are so in for it now. The Boss hates pet names! Once I tried to call him Lord Mew-mew because he was acting like a wet fucking cat and-”
“Enough.” Dream waves his hand to his Raven and the bird is immediately silenced. “Matthew, leave us. I am not asking.”
“Aww, maannn.” Mattie shakes himself off and seems to become shockingly sober with just a ruffle of feathers. “Roger that, Boss. See you back at home.” Then he nods to Hob. “We should do this again sometime.”
Before Hob can respond Mattie has taken wing and flown out a window that definitely was not open a moment ago. When he looks back up it is to have Dream’s hand in front of his face, gently offering to help him stand. Hob takes it, if only for the excuse to touch his Stranger’s skin for the first time. (His touch is cool, his fingers long and uncalloused, his skin smooth. Hob memorizes every sensation greedily.)
Dream seems to realize this once Hob is on his feet because the blush deepens slightly and he retracts his hand with a jerky motion.
“I am sorry if I offended you, Dream.” Hob takes a step to the side and tries to catch his friend’s eye. Dream keeps purposefully looking away. “It is just a silly human endearment. I am rather high on some excellent weed and I didn’t mean-”
“Ah.” Dream interrupts and Hob’s jaw clicks shut. Dream is still not looking at him and so Hob can see the way the muscles in his jaw flex with tension. “Just a silly endearment. You did not mean it.”
Something fiery swoops inside Hob. Dream has never acted like this. Never avoided Hob’s eyes. Never interrupted him. And all because Hob had accidentally called him love.
See, thing is, Hob does mean it. More than he has words for. But never did he think… Dream couldn’t possibly. Fuck. Hob is too high to think clearly about this.
Hob steps into Dream’s line of sight, forces the slightly taller anthropomorphic personification to meet his eyes. Why it comes out a whisper when Hob speaks he will never know. “Dream. Do you want me to mean it? Do you want me to call you,” he hesitates for a moment because this could ruin everything. (But look at him! Look at the hurt in his expression, the tension in his shoulders. He does not hide it well, now that Hob knows what to look for - thanks, Sophie.) “my love?”
It is answer enough to see Dream’s pupils dilate and his nostrils flare. Oh fuck. Oh fuck. Oh fuckfuckfuckfuckfuck.
He is shaking when he goes to take Dream’s hand, brings it up to press a kiss to those beautiful fingers. “If I am reading this wrong then please please let’s just chalk it up to the THC and pretend this never happened. But…” Hob takes the last step in and now they are almost chest-to-chest, “I thought you would have figured it out after 1689… you are my guiding star. It is you who I wait decades for. You who I hope to impress with my experiences. You who I have yearned to touch with every fiber of my being for literal centuries.” Dream is blinking wide eyes at him now, confusion and surprise and hope all written there. “And if your friendship is all I can have, then so be it. But, Dream. If I had three wishes I would spend them all just to be able to call you love.”

You had been working for Intelligence since you could remember. This means you have been working with Antonio for a while as well. You had slowly begun developing feelings for him and you just hoped that he felt the same way. It killed you to see him with any other girl but you hid your feelings well and powered through it.
You imagined what life with him would be like and you wanted it but held back. You didn't want to make things awkward especially if he shot you down and completely humiliated you. How would you be able to face him at work?
You had just gotten into work when Hank immediately went into detail about a case that you all just had gotten. It was about a man that was going around and kidnaping women and then them showing up dead in very local places.
"Antonio and Y/N I want you both to go to the last crime scene and see if you can get any information or clues. Police have they couple that found the women down there. I want you both to go and talk to her." Hank said and you nodded. You would rather go with someone else instead of making this awkward for both of you but you weren't one to disobey orders and did as you were told. You looked over to Antonio who was in his chair swiveling it side to side while look at you with a smirk, the smirk that you had fallen in love with. You smiled back at him.
"Well you heard the man. Lets go." He said and you nodded and held out your hand out towards the door.
"Lead the way." You said and he did just that. You followed him out of the building and down to the cars. You let him drive since you really didn't feel like driving and he would be more comfortable.
Once you got in and started driving he started to make small conversation which helped a little bit but it was still awkward, well at least for you, you didn't know about him.
"Do you have any plans tonight?" He had asked you and you shook your head.
"No. I don't think this case is going to allow us to have a break honestly." You said and then it was silence.
Once the small talk got nowhere he then turned the topic onto the case and that helped tremendously. "Why do you think he is doing it?" He asked you and you turned to look at him.
"He probably got out raged from a girl that dumped him and I'm guessing he doesn't take being dumped very well." You told him and he nodded.
"He probably is working his way up to the woman that dumped him. I'm guessing he's going to be way worse with her than anyone else." Antonio said.
"He's trying to perfect what he wants to do and once it is perfected then that's when he is going to strike." You said "Do we know who he broke up with?" You asked and he shook his head.
"No, Jay and Adam are supposed to be figuring that out." He said and you nodded then you arrived at the crime scene. He killed the engine and you both got out after parking. You both walked over to the crime scene and began to inspect it after not finding anything and you needed a break.
"Hey I'm gonna talk to the couple that found the body." You told Antonio and he nodded.
"I'm gonna continue looking here." He said and you nodded and you started to walk over to them.
"Good morning. I'm Detective Y/N Y/L/N. I understand that you found the body." You said and they nodded.
"We usually jog this path every morning." The woman said and you nodded.
"Did you see anything unusual when you found the body? Like someone running away or something out of place?" You asked them as you wrote down some stuff.
"No, everything was normally where is was." The man said and you nodded "Oh, there was a red pickup truck that was here but it had sped off." He said
"What was the condition of the truck?" You asked
"It was beaten up with several dings and a broken headlight. We didn't get a license plate due to us being so far away and it speeding off." The man said and you nodded.
"Thank you for your time. If we have any other questions we'll call you and if you remember anything else, don't hesitate to give us a call." You said and they nodded and you headed back to Antonio, it looked like he was done since the coroner was loading the woman up. "Hey, find anything useful?" you asked him and he shook his head.
"No. You?" He asked and you nodded.
"The couple usually runs here in the mornings. They said that they saw an old red beaten up truck with a broken headlight, it had a bunch dings in it but they couldn't get a license plate." You told him he nodded and you both started to walk back to the car to go back to the precinct and tell the information you had gotten.
**********************************************
A week into the case nothing new was coming up. If there was anything new it was just a dead end. More and more bodies have been showing up and everybody was getting restless and agitated. You just wanted to go home and enjoy a nice long hot shower with nobody to disturb you. Sleep you would also love some sleep, you barely had gotten anything when the case started and if you did it was just a few minutes and then you were back at it again. Antonio tried to keep the spirits alive and happy around you but it just wasn't working and that killed him on the inside.
You had just gotten a lead from your CI and were following and checking up on it when the lead suddenly went cold. You were frustrated but didn't let it show but Antonio could see it and so he had cornered you in the locker room.
"Everything ok?" He asked you while leaning up against the locker and you against the wall. You nodded.
"Yea everything is great." You said and he made a face.
"I know you well enough to know that you're lying. What's up?" He asked and you sighed.
"This case is frustrating and I just want it to end." You said and he nodded and then walked over to you and pulled you into a hug.
"I'm frustrated too and want it to end as well. We just have to keep pushing through and hope we catch this bastard." He said and you buried your head into his neck and nodded. "Hey what do you say about us getting a pizza and drinking a few beers at my place, after this is all over?" He asked and you nodded and pulled away to look at him.
"I would love that." You said and he smiled then Kim walked in.
"Hey, we got something let's go." She said and you all hurried out of the room. All 3 of you walked into the bullpen and Hank started to talk.
"We have found his location. His name is Arlen Harlow. As of right now he still has his victim hostage. Gear up and get ready to go." Hank said and you all nodded. Everyone got ready and drove to the location.
Antonio and you rode together to the house. You all made sure you had everything and had bulletproof vests on before storming the house. Once everyone did Hank gave the all-clear, Jay kicked in the door and you all went in. You heard a chours of clears but you had yet to say anything because you were down in the basement staring down Alren, with your gun pointed at him.
When you didn't answer and heard your fellow team members in your ear, they came down to where you were. "We can talk about this." You said to him and he shook his head.
"No. No we can not. I can't go back to jail." He said getting frantic.
"Let the woman go and maybe we can make a deal." You said knowing that the others are there listening and again he shook his head.
"I'm not going back." He said and raised his gun at the woman and as he was about to pull the trigger, you pulled yours and he went down. You stood there not believing what just happened but you quickly got over it and went to the women. You comforted her and then EMTs took her to the hospital.
When you got back to the precinct you filled out your report and talked to Hank. Even though it wasn't ideal you did what had to be done. When you got done talking with him everyone had left the building, well you thought everyone did.
You were sitting at your desk head in hands going over the day. This case was a tough one and it always took a toll on you. You don't know how long you were sitting there but jumped when you felt hands on your shoulders. You turned to look at who it was and it was none other than Antonio. He was smiling at you and you smiled back. "Are you ok?" He asked and you shrugged your shoulders.
"Tough cases always take a toll on me for some reason." You said and he nodded.
"How about that beer and pizza at my place?" He asked and you nodded smiling.
"That sounds amazing." You said and got up. You got your purse and got up while he waited. You both walked out of there together. "What about my car?" You asked him and he shook his head.
"We'll get in the morning." He said and you nodded and followed him out to his truck. Once he opened the door and shut it and then got in, you were able to try and relax. It was a comfortable silence on the ride to his place.
**********************************************
When you arrived he had parked and killed the engine and got out. You were about to open the door but he had beaten you to it. You smiled at him and let him help you down and into his apartment. "Make yourself at home. I'm gonna go put my gun away and then order the pizza." He said and you nodded as you both kicked off your shoes. You went to his fridge and grabbed two beers and headed to the couch.
Not even 2 minutes later he was coming back out smiling at you and you handed him his beer. "I already grabbed you one." You said and he took it.
"Why thank you. Pizza should be here in 10 minutes." He said and you nodded and snuggled into him as he sat down.
"Anything you want to watch?" You asked him and shook his head.
"No. I don't have anything that I'm into at the moment." He said and you gasped.
"The Antonio Dawson is not interested in anything? That's a shock." You said while chuckling.
"It's the truth." He said trying to defend himself and you shook your head and turned on something random which was Fixer Upper. You both made comments until the pizza came. He got up and grabbed the money and paid for the pizza and brought it over to the couch. Half of the pizza was gone and several beers were drank between you both.
You could tell there was something on his mind so you turned off the volume and looked at him. "What's wrong?" You asked and he looked at you.
"What makes you think there is something wrong?" He asked and you turned to look at him fully.
"You always make this face when you're thinking about something. What's up?" You asked again and he sighed and turned to look at you.
"I'm gonna tell you something and I hope it doesn't mess up what we have." He said and you nodded for him to continue. "I've liked you for a while now. Ever since I met you in Intelligence actually. You were the most beautiful woman I've seen and I just couldn't get over your beauty. All of the other girls I've been with were just a distraction for me from you." He said and you didn't know what to say but when you looked into his eyes you did.
"I felt that same way for a while now too." You said.
"You don't have to take pity on me Y/N. I know that's that not true." Antonio said and you shook your head.
"No, it's the truth. When you were with those other girls it killed me inside. I wanted to be the one that you took on dates. I wanted to be the one that had your attention. I've liked no loved you for as long as I could remember. I just thought you were way out of my league to even look at him, much less date me." You said and the next thing you knew you were kissing each other. You continued to kiss until air was needed and then you broke apart.
"Bedroom?" He asked and you nodded not trusting your voice. That kiss was perfect and you felt fireworks go off.
He got up and held out a hand to you and you took it. He led you to his bedroom where he shut the door while you sat down on his bed. He walked over to you while shedding his shirt and showing off his toned chest. He bent down and kissed you and you put your hands on his 6 pack. He gently laid you down and got on top of you and but not putting any weight on you.
Antonio kissed you and then he started to kiss you on the side of your neck and under your ear just on the pulse point, your sweet spot. He sucked on it and nipped at the skin, there was definitely going to be a hickey there in the morning. It had you a moaning mess and your toes curling.
You felt his hands at the hem of your shirt and he looked up and you nodded. He slowly got rid of your shirt and then you felt him kiss down the valley of your breasts and down the hem of your jeans. He reached behind you and unhooked your bra and got rid of it. "You're perfect." He said and sucked your right nipple into his mouth and your head was thrown back and your mouth opened. Your hands went to his head and you pulled his hair. One of his hands went into your jeans and underwear and ran through your slick folds.
"Antonio." You moaned out and then he let go of that nipple and switched to the other, never letting up on touching you. You were close and when his finger went into your entrance and found your g-spot is when that rubber band in your stomach snapped and you moaned out his name.
As you were coming down from your high he was pulling the rest of your clothes off and yours as well. You sat up on your elbows and watched him as he reached over to his nightstand grabbed a condom and rolled it down on his now erect cock that had you drooling. "What about you? I want to take care of you." You said breathlessly.
"Another time. This is all about you." He said and then spread your legs and licked up your folds and that had you falling back onto the bed. He swirled his tongue around your entrance and probed it. Then he went up to your clit and sucked on it and gently bit it. Your hands were back in his hair. If you weren't wet before then you were definitely were now. He was eating you out like your life depended on it.
"Antonio! Right there!" You exclaimed and then he stopped and you let go of his hair. You whimpered but it was stopped by him kissing you. He ran his cock up and down you a few times before pushing into you to the hilt. You were no virgin but the way he made you stretch made you feel like one, he stretched you in ways you didn't know it was possible but in a good way.
"You're so tight. It was like you were made for me." He said and then waited for you to adjust and for a signal to move and when you did he started to slowly thrust into you. He brought his face down to your neck and was kissing your skin and nipping at it.
"So good!" You said and brought your hands up to his shoulders. He slowly kept thrusting into you making the pleasure last. You felt that the rubber band started constricting again "Faster." You told him and felt him smirk.
"As you wish." He said into your shoulder and picked up his pace again hitting in all the right places. Your nails dug into his skin leaving indents and then they started to rake down his back and you felt and heard him hiss. There was no doubt that there were going to be scratches down his back but he would wear them proudly.
"I'm close." You told him and he nodded.
"Me too." He said and then his thrusts started to get sloppy. On the next thrust, he stilled inside you and shot his load into the condom as your climax hit as well. He rode you through your orgasm and his.
Once you both came back down he slowly slid out of you with a now soft cock. He got up and took it off and tied it off and threw it away. You watched him but couldn't say anything too out of it. You watched him go into his bathroom and come back with a washcloth. He started to wipe between your legs and up your folds which made you jump. "I'm sorry." He said as he finished and you shook your head.
"I'm just a little sensitive. Nobody has made me cum especially twice before." You said and he had a look of horror on his face.
"Then they weren't doing it right or taking care of you." He said and then discarded the washcloth in the hamper and came over and laid down. You turned to him and cuddled into him. "I love you Y/N. Nothing is going to change that. I want to be with you. I want to take you on dates. I want to give our love for each other a chance." He said and you smiled.
"I would love that, Antonio. I love you too. I want to be with you. I really want to give our love a chance, I have ever since I met you." You said and then he kissed you.
"Then it's settled. We both want the same thing. I love you." He said
"I love you too." You replied and snuggled into his chest
As you were drifting off you felt him press a kiss to your head and rest his on top of yours. You finally did it. You confessed to your crush over pizza and beer you couldn't be happier. You both loved each other and aren't going to be letting each other go anytime soon.
Who knew it would take a tough case for it to happen? You certainly didn't. Do you wish it would've happened another way? Maybe you did but you weren't complaining about how it did happen.

Once Upon a Dream | Miguel O'Hara x reader
Summary: you've been dreaming of a man for months, another Spider-Person, just as lonely as you...
A/N: please note that English is not my first language and I'm sorry for any mistakes you can find -
Warnings: none?
Words: 1743
I want to thank my beta readers @ohantonia and @bloodredwolfsbane 🩷

You woke up once again gasping for air. Tears escaped your eyes and found their way down your cheeks. Loneliness wrenched your heart, like it always did, after he visited you in your dreams.
It was happening more frequently. Almost every night now. And when he didn’t come, you went looking for him. Sometimes finding him in a state of despair that broke your heart. You could never touch, although you were dying to hold him in your arms. You could never speak, your words like whispers fading away before they could reach him. It was like you were separated by an invisible wall. But he kept coming back. And you could feel he missed you, and you hoped he could feel you missed him too. You started wishing you could spend your life in your dreams, with him. Tell him everything was going to be okay. You didn’t know what had happened to him, but you felt everything he did. His eternal sadness. The gaping wound in his chest that left him screaming in pain in his sleep. In your dreams. He was so lonely. And maybe that was why he was coming to you. Maybe his loneliness matched yours.
You sat up with a sigh, wiping the tears away. Like every morning, doubt seized you. Was it even real? Or were you going crazy? The tall Spider-Man, the large man with his dark curls and red eyes. Fangs like a vampire. The bright red and blue suit that he never took off, like an armor. Maybe you were imagining him. Maybe it was just your subconscious manifesting your need and want for another spider-person like you. For someone to talk to. Someone to share your life with. Someone to fill that hole in your chest. Like he needed someone to fill his. But like every morning, you chose to trust yourself, your instincts. You chose to believe. You chose him.
That day was like every other. Crawling around your neighborhood, everyone knew you had a routine, and you could make sure everyone behaved. The crime rate had lowered since you became Spider-Woman. The one good thing that came of it. You didn’t like being Spider-Woman. You didn’t ask for it, and you wouldn’t have chosen it for yourself had you been given a choice. And as a woman of science, you foolishly thought you would be able to find a cure. You never did. And you’d given up on that idea after a while. After you saved an old woman from a robber. After you saved a little girl from being crushed by a truck. After you saved a bus full of people.  You had power that could do some good. Who were you to ignore that?
You had had a pretty uneventful day, even for a doctor in a hospital. But everything you did, you did with him on your mind. He followed you everywhere. Every room you stepped in, you looked for him. Hoped for him. And every time he wasn’t there, it broke your heart in more tiny pieces.
You changed out of your scrubs and closed your locker with a sigh. You closed your eyes, tried to picture him, imagined what it would be like to walk out of the hospital and have him waiting for you outside. You tried not to think about it too long. It only hurt more when you let yourself hope like that. You weren’t delusional. The man in your dream was just that, a man in your dream.
You stepped out of the locker room, ready to go home, when, suddenly, the hair on your arms rose and chills ran across your body. You knew that feeling. Something bad was about to happen.
You felt the ground shake before you heard the explosion.
“What was that?!” you heard a nurse ask from behind the counter under which she was hiding.
Behind her, through the large windows, you could see black smoke emanating from the Alchemax lab across campus. The damage seemed catastrophic. You hurried towards the scene, taking advantage of the chaos to change into your sky-blue suit, and landed near the hole in the roof of the lab. You coughed as you stepped closer to the smoke. It was so thick you couldn’t even see the fire below. You decided to carefully make your way down and were relieved to see everyone had somehow managed to escape. You navigated the cloudy, unfamiliar and dangerous environment, trying to locate the flames, but it seemed they had already disappeared. Gradually, the smoke dissipated, and you found yourself alone in the mess, thankful no one had been around when the explosion occurred. Slowly, however, you started to spot a tall figure before you, as the smoke vanished around him.
“It’s dealt with. No. He wasn’t there.”
The man spoke to a device on his wrist resembling a big smartwatch. He had his back turned to you but still, there was no mistaking him. That tall and large figure, that bright red and blue suit, those dark curls... A gasp escaped you, alerting him of your presence. He turned around swiftly. And there they were. Those red eyes. Looking right at you.
His face dropped as his eyes grew bigger. The air stuck in his throat as he stared at you dumbfounded. Neither of you dared to move, too afraid you would wake up and be alone once again.
“It’s you,” he breathed.
You slowly removed your mask, so he could see you as you saw him. A tear fell down his cheek, and you were dying to wipe it away, to take his face in your hands and kiss them all away.
“You’re here,” you said in a whisper.
Desperate to touch him, you held out your hand, slowly, as if he were a small animal you could scare away. It felt like forever, waiting for the other to move, but he took your hand and you felt like melting away.
“Oh, you’re here,” you cried as you hurried towards him and buried your head in his chest.
Instantly, he enveloped you in his strong arms, his cheek coming to rest on the top of your head. He held you tight, as you did, tighter even. You couldn’t believe it. He was here. Not only was he real, but he was here! You moved away to look up at him. Just the sight of him filled that hole in your chest. You brought your hands to his face, but he was so tall, you had to tiptoe. He made it easier for you, falling to his knees before you. He was there, at your feet, finally face to face, and you finally felt alive. Alive and awake. After all this time. Months of sharing dreams, months of delusions, months of craving him. At last, you were touching him. Your thumbs stroked his cheeks as you smiled down at him, leaning your forehead against his.
“You’re real,” he sobbed.
“So are you,” you laughed, and he nodded.
“I thought...”
“Me too,” you reassured him. “But I knew.”
“So did I. From the beginning. Always.”
“Me too,” you sniffed.
“What’s your name?” he asked as he moved to look at you, and you realized there was so much about each other you didn’t know. You answered him. “That’s a beautiful name.”
“What’s your name?”
“Miguel. Miguel O’Hara.”
“It’s good to finally meet you, Miguel.”
“You too, mi amor.”
A small laugh escaped you and you wrapped your arms around his neck, burying your nose in his hair. It felt so good to finally be able to touch him, to embrace him, to be embraced by him.
“Where have you been all this time?” you asked in a whisper.
“I-... it’s complicated.”
“We’ve been sharing dreams for months, I’ll believe anything you tell me,” you promised, looking back at him, caressing his cheek with your knuckles.
He chuckled as he took your hand in his. “I’m from another universe,” he said, and somehow it wasn’t that hard to believe. “I created an… organization for people like us from around the multiverse. We were chasing down an anomaly, I followed it here.”
The implication was clear. You had been sharing dreams, but not a universe. But you had overcome the first, you could overcome the latter.
“So... you’re not from my world?”
“No.”
“So, then... you’re not staying...” you murmured as you moved closer to him, your fingers nervously playing with the curls at the nape of his neck.
“I’m not going anywhere,” he promised you, tucking a strand of hair behind your ear before taking your chin between his fingers. “See this watch? It allows me to go anywhere I want, travel to any universe. I'll give you one, so you can come visit me all the time, even stay with me if you want.”
“I want,” you nodded eagerly, gripping the collar of his suit, brushing your nose against his. “I really, really want.”
“Good,” he said with a bright smile before he pressed his lips against yours.
He took you by surprise, but you wouldn’t complain. You moaned against his mouth, sliding your fingers in his curls and he groaned as you fisted your hands in his hair. He kissed you until you couldn’t breathe, just to take your breath away again. And again. And again. Eventually, he released you, his hot breath hitting your skin as he leaned his forehead against yours.
“Come home with me? Plea-“
“Yes. Miguel, take me home.”
He breathed a sigh of relief as he held you tighter. You saw his lips tremble, and you knew exactly how he felt. Like you could finally breathe. Like a weight was off your chest. You had spent the last months living a nightmare, with the uncertainty of your sanity, of his existence. You had even started doubting what was real and what wasn’t, started wishing you could live in that world of dreams where you knew you could always find each other. It had started to feel more like home. He had started to feel like home.
“I’ve been looking for you,” he said. “Everywhere. Wherever I went. I never gave up.”
“I’ve been waiting. I’ve been hoping... I... I didn’t know how...”
He stopped your rambling, gently pressing his lips against yours in a tender kiss. His meaning loud and clear: it’s over now, we’ll never be apart again.

Everyone expected you two to get married. San and yn, the perfect duo. You two grew up together, coming from the same poor survival village, living just a few houses from each other and being one of the few kids that still had dreams of a better future. The freaks, how your neighbors and other kids would call. But you didn’t care, San was your safe place and you were his.
You grew up sneaking from your parents and climbing trees, hunting small animals together, learning how to plant and harvest from old books that survived the virus decades ago. Your families did not stand each other but did not interfere in your friendship, life as an apocalyptic baby was already shitty enough.
But you saw your world turn upside down when the peacekeepers from the president came after you and other kids from your village. Your parents, just like theirs, sold you to the government in exchange for food and a bit of money. Since you were the youngest, and therefore, the only “changeable”, they sold you so they could survive. You did not blame your family for it, not when you saw your older sister die of the virus and the others being forced to work more to bring food and money to your household while all you did was play all day with San.
San. The boy you kept in your mind every single day for the rest of your life. Every night you’d lay in your comfortable bed and wish he was there to tell his stupid stories like he did when you were kids. You never heard of him again after you entered the gates of the main city. You and the other kids coming from all over the country being locked up inside those giant concrete walls.
You went through all the types of tests and training for later being sorted into your positions. You almost ended up as one of the pleasure maids for the president if wasn’t for your misbehavior at one of the practice formals. You were very explosive, usually acting with emotion which to them was seen as a virtue, so you ended up as one of the peacemakers. And soon enough, after a few years and a lot of work, you were nominated as the head of the peacemakers in the 5th area as they called it.
And even after all these years, after many missions, you were still scared and guilty that those people were being executed for crimes that were not even real crimes sometimes, they were just trying to survive. With the passing of the years, the president became less and less tolerable, just deciding to execute people just because he could, because he had the power. You were not like that, never been, but you needed to survive as well, your family, which you discovered received every year a small amount of money from your sale, needed to survive, so you disassociated every time you needed to work. yn as a peacemaker wasn’t the same yn you were as you took your uniform out. Also, you couldn’t complain about the life you took in the main city, you had a comfortable life, a comfortable home, clothes to wear and enough food for you to eat and be strong to deal with the rascals.
There was a new talk in town, a group of young people terrorizing near the main city, graffitiing the walls with their rebellious words, throwing bombs, and recruiting people for their group. Some of the citizens complained that they were disturbing the peace, but most importantly, they were getting adepts even inside the walls, people who were allowed to live there, people who had nothing - apparently - to complain about. So of course the president wouldn’t be quiet and happy about it, sending you and many more of his best peacemakers to hunt them down.
You were currently in one of the many trucks looking for them, your suit protected with bulletproof padding and your face protected with an anti-gas mask, but your mind seemed a little uneasy. Your heart seemed a little uneasy. Something inside of you not allowing you to fully disconnect, fully disassociate and do your work. Nico, your partner, and boyfriend, noticed and held your bouncy leg, squeezing it and giving you a reassuring look from inside his mask.
Nico wasn’t a bad guy, but he wasn’t good either. He was in this grey area between doing what he does for his job and doing it because he enjoys it. But on those nights that you were feeling lonely, he was the best you could get. He pleasured you, sure. But it was not like it was the best. Many of those nights you imagined how would San look as an adult, if he still was that skinny kid you left behind, or if he grew to be a strong man. Or if he married and became just like the other men in the village. Many times you got yourself creating a hypothetical San in your head and imagining how he would be in bed, how would he pleasure you if it was him instead of Nico. Those were the nights you came harder. You felt guilty about not actually loving Nico, but again, you weren’t sure he loved you either or he was with you for the convenience as well.
The truck came to a halt, taking you out of your daydreams, and you heard screams outside the vehicle. You and the others went out and found a few people all dressed in black, their clothes looking like they were a bunch of pieces of old clothes that were sawn together, they wore gas masks too, but you couldn’t see their faces underneath, a black balaclava hiding their identity. You were so out of your usual mindset that when they started to attack each other you were caught by surprise, instantly starting to attack them as well.
They were outnumbered but they still had some tricks under their sleeves, managing to get a lot of your men down, but soon reinforcement arrived and they just couldn’t win. Some of them managed to escape, others were killed, and others were captured to take them to the prison and wait for their execution.
Just when you were leaving you noticed that it wasn’t Nico sitting next to you.
“Where’s Nico?” one of your teammates put his hand on your shoulder and denied with his head and he didn’t have to say anything else, you knew Nico was dead.
For some reason you were envious of him, being dead, free from that duty. You didn’t know if it was for the fact that the guilt from killing innocent people was stronger than ever, if it was from you being tired of doing things you didn’t want to or from this gut feeling that something wasn’t right. All you knew was that you wanted to escape, to live a different life, to go back in time and run away when you discovered what your family did.
When you entered the gates, all the cars went straight to the jail, taking all the criminals to be arrested. Some of your men took them as you excused yourself for not feeling well after the death of your boyfriend. But truth was that all you needed was to be alone in the darkness of your room and try to forget the afternoon events. The intentional cold water falling down your back and making all your pores bristle and your tears get lost as they fell into your feet.
You were almost asleep after crying your eyes out of distress and sadness when the doorbell from your apartment rang. You put on your robe and went to pick up the door, knowing it was probably someone to talk about Nico’s death.
“Captain yln” it was one of your subordinates. You nodded for him to keep talking. “One of the prisoners from today is wishing to speak to you, he says he’s the head of rebels”
“Did he say what he wanted to talk about? Or identified himself further?” He denied.
“He just said he has a message to you and that he wishes to speak to you before dying” you sighed and decided that maybe this was going to get you out of your thoughts.
You didn’t think much, just grabbed your holster, not caring to put it on and followed the man. As soon as you entered the prison chills ran down your spine, the loud chanting of the prisoners felt too familiar even though you never heard it. The screams made your head hurt.
You entered one of the interrogation rooms and sat at the usual chair, waiting while they brought in the inmate.
A tall and honestly very handsome man sat in the chair in front of you, a smirk sat on his lips as he looked at you from top to bottom. You analyzed the man, he looked so familiar. His cat-like eyes, his tan skin, his expressions. It looked almost like…
“Long time no see, munchkin” his voice was velvety, sensual, it ran chills down your spine.
“San?” He chuckled and nodded. “Oh my god, San. I can’t believe it is really you!” You left your chair and moved in front of him, pulling him on his feet and into a hug. He immediately returned it
“Hey… hey… I’m here” he said as you nuzzled into his chest and neck, smelling his musky scent, that even with all the dirt from the combat and years without seeing him, still smelled like you could remember. Tears falling freely from your tired eye.
“That’s exactly why!”
For many many years you imagined San, how he’d look, how he’d talk, how he was, what had he done with his future. And then, with him in front of you, standing tall and beautiful, very real, not a result of your imagination, had you dizzy. Not in a million years you’d imagine that he’d grow to be not only a rebel but fucking hot one. All of the nights you imagined him, none of them prepared you for how he looked in real life.
And the realization hit you. He was going to die. He was going to be executed. There’s no way the mayor would leave him alive. That was the first time you were seeing your friend in years. And it was going to be the last.
“I know what you’re thinking in that head of yours, yn” you were cut from your daydreaming, and tilted your head to look at him. “You’re thinking about the execution” you lowered your head, looking at your feet, how he still knew you so well after so long? He grabbed your hands and squeezed them for you to look at him again. “That’s exactly why I asked you to come here”
“I won’t let you die, Sannie. Not now that you are back into my life” his eyes and his smile felt so soft upon you, his right hand caressed your cheek and his callouses scraped your skin gently. “I won’t”
“I know you won’t, baby. Because you will help us escape and will escape with us” his sentence caught you off guard. “We have a plan but we need your help”
“But it won’t be dangerous having me with you? I mean, I know too much, I’ve been working with them for years. God! I’m the head of one of their security troop”
“Don’t worry about it, we’ve been hiding for long enough to know how to hide you too” you nodded and looked around, trying to see if there was a sign of anyone around that could listen to you. You knew the cameras didn’t work for years now, it was just to pretend to the inmates. “Will you help us?”
“Yes, of course. I… I hate this place and I hate what I do” you stopped, head dropping again. “But my family… they need me… they…” he lifted your chin to look at him, which you gladly did so.
“Your family is long gone, yn. Your parents died many years ago in one of the mayor’s interventions, your older sisters married and left the village, Jongho joined us and Dongho left the village a few months after you left. No one gets money from you being here” your mouth was agape, you should’ve known it was all lies to keep you obedient. But even then you fell for them. For the love of your family.
“What’s the plan?” He smiled at you and nodded. You were about to escape that hell hole with the one true love of your life.

When the clock hit midnight the next day, you were already prepared, all the things you needed packed and safely hidden near the south exit of the town. You headed to the prison, uniform from head to toe, and demanded to talk to the chief of the rebels. A man, not much taller than you, met you at the same room you met San previously and you handed him what was planned, helping him hide the controller on his clothes.
You two staged a fight and demanded him to be taken to the south prison, to divide him from his companions. The officer did as you said, leaving you alone in the place since he trusted you. You took the opportunity and released all the other men locked, including San.
Since the prison was far from the actual city, there were a lot of alternative routes they could take to arrive at the southern gates without being seen and separating themselves not to be caught in a bundle.
You, San and other two rebels took one of the riskier routes but if anything happened and you were caught, you could lie about transferring the inmates to the south.
A few minutes later you arrived at the designated gate, a few more of the rebels already there, only two and the chief missing. When the other two arrived, you proceed to go to beat the southern prison to attack when the officer and the chief arrive.
It didn’t take much longer for the two men to appear and the rebels attacked, killing the officer quickly, mercilessly, no sound spilled. You decided to forget what you saw, since you did much worse to some of them when you were dissociated.
“Everyone’s here?” Hongjoong, which you learned was the name of the chief, said counting all of the rebels. “Good. Everyone’s here and alive, time to leave this shit hole” you all nodded as he used the controller you gave him earlier to open the gate since he was the only one who knew how to use that.
Somehow there was already a big black truck waiting for them outside the gates, how they communicated to the others you have no idea, but you were so glad they did because as soon as you all hopped into the vehicle, some of the mayor’s troops came after you. San and the others started to counterattack, throwing homemade bombs into the cars and destroying them, sometimes even more than one in one go.
You sat quietly praying to watch ever god decided to hear you that you left all well and alive, that you could leave all of this behind and start a new life with San.
It wasn’t long until everything went silent and San returned back to your side, hugging you and kissing the top of your head.
“We are free now. You are free” he said, his voice happy, smile on his lips as if he waited to say those words to you forever. And he did.
You finally smiled and threw yourself on him, not giving a fuck there were more people in the truck, and kissed him. It was just a long peck but it was long awaited for the both of you. Everyone around you cheered, happy for you and for the plan that worked.
The entire trip to their headquarters you and San talked about your life after you left, sometimes engaging in conversation with the others as well, but there was a growing tension between you two. So thick you were sure the others could feel and see it too. San’s hands were gently and almost secretly all over your body. He was wrapping them around your waist, then holding your own, then caressing gently your tight by his side. It was when he put them there and gave squeezes that you felt your breath hitch and your stomach curl.
It was evident that you’ve been so frustrated with your absence from each other’s lives, from what you could have been. You were dying for each other, you could feel that in the kiss. And you knew that when you start you won’t stop.
“We’re here, we’re home” the driver announced as he stopped under a big abandoned building and everyone hopped off.
San held your hand and pulled you with him to the third floor, entering one of the rooms.
“They’re gonna fuck, right?” One of the rebels asked, seeing San pull you away so fast and so eagerly.
And he was more than right. San pulled you into that room and closed and locked the door before pushing you against it and kissing you ferociously. His tongue invading your mouth and intoxicating you with his taste. Hands all over your body, squeezing, feeling, touching, as yours were entangled in his soft hair, pulling the strands as you kept devouring each other.
“You have no idea how long I’ve waited to do that” he dropped his mouth to your neck, kissing and biting the spot. “How many nights I’ve dreamed of having you to myself” another harsh suck on the skin that made you whine. “How many nights I’ve touched myself thinking about having you even thought I knew you were with that creep”
“Wait” you managed to breathe the word as he kept attacking the sweet spot behind your ear. “Did you know who I was? And who Nico was?”
“I’ve been watching you for so long, yn. We have eyes and ears in those gates, don’t forget that”
“If was anyone else saying this I was going to call them creep but since it’s you I don’t give a single fuck” he kissed you again, smiling between the kiss and biting your lip.
“Good because I am about to give you more than a single fuck” you laughed at him, he hadn’t changed at all.
He finally moved you two to the bed, managing to make you fully naked on the way. You felt your body heating from the way he drank your form, biting his lip and looking like he was about to eat the most delicious meal of his life. You.
He gently laid you on your back and spread your legs open. He started kissing his way to your core, leaving the same love bites on your thighs that he left on your neck. You just threw your head back and enjoyed your touches. Ever so teasing, never really touching the center of your legs.
“Sannie~” you whined, desperate for some contact, some release.
“You want me to eat you out, munchkin?” You nodded eagerly, hand going to his head and trying to guide him but he held himself in place. “Use your words, let me hear you beg for me, let me hear you say the words I’ve dreamed of you saying to me” you writhed in frustration and shyness but you were so needy for him that you just had to say it.
“Please, Sannie. Please. Touch me. Use me. Eat me. Do whatever you want please, I need you”
“God, you’re way hotter than I thought” he gently slapped your clothed core, earning a surprised scream from you. “I’ll give you what you want, baby. Everything you wish” you nodded and he didn’t waste time before diving into your still clothed pussy.
He licked and rubbed on top of the material, the roughness of it deliciously helping with the friction you needed. You moaned without a care in the world. Your mind was full of San and only San. He pulled the underwear out of you, ripping the material, too bothered and eager to take it out of you. To say you weren’t turned on even more by the action was a lie. The way his muscles tensed and the veins popped when he pulled the fabric apart made you weak on the knees, imagining what he could do to you.
San went back to his position, hoisting your legs on his shoulders and finally touching his mouth straight on your slit. Your moan and his satisfied groan synced, your legs tried to close around his head but he held them open as he kept slurping at your wet vulva.
His mouth was definitely skilled, he knew just the right amount of pressure to put, where to tease. You were seeing stars with the way his mouth was devouring you. His tongue moved up and down from your clit to your hole, sucking and licking the engorged nub and prodding your entrance with his tip.
You were a moaning and writhing mess under him, hands not knowing where to go, if they pulled the sheets or his hair, if they intertwined your fingers with his or held your boobs. All you knew was that you never felt anything like that before. It was like San was a conductor and you were his sheet music. He knew all your notes.
But it wasn’t enough, not for him or for you, so he added his fingers to the game, wetting them on his lips and then your juices before slowly entering them inside you. Your walls hugged his big digits tight, and San felt his dick twitching imagining how it would feel around him.
“S-Sannie…” his name, mixed with your moans, was almost a mantra. Leaving your lips without even noticing.
“What is it, baby? Hm? Tell me. I can’t read your mind” he mocked and gave your clit a tiny gentle bite that almost made you cum, hips going up against his face. “Even tho’ I have a little idea of what there is inside of there”
“P-please… just… fuck! I need you, Sannie” he left his spot and hovered over you, face to face with you.
He kissed you and you could taste yourself on his lips, the bittersweetness of it was invading your senses alongside the musky scent of his sweat. If someone asked you what sex smelled like you’d say it was this.
“I really wanted to tease you right now but I am as needy as you so I’ll leave that for another time” he said while he left his spot on top of you to take his clothes off and just then you realized he was still fully clothed. “My dick will burst at any minute if I keep waiting”
“Then shut up just fuck me” you said before you could think properly, earning a chuckle from the man.
He positioned himself on top of you again, grabbed his cock and rubbed along your vulva, collecting as much of your wetness to help him in. He positioned the head on your hole and slowly pushed in, entering you.
You closed your eyes and opened your mouth, no sound leaving. You’ve dreamed and imagined of this moment your entire life. And now it was happening. You had San back into your life. He was real and alive and right there on top of you, taking his time not to hurt you.
San was not only taking his time not to hurt but not to cum right then and there. He also had dreamed for so long of fucking you that your warm walls hugging and welcoming him just like he was meant to be there were like a gunshot. Quick and sharp.
His hips were starting to go erratic within a short time. He knew he wouldn’t last much longer and he wanted to make sure you were going to cum as well, so he snaked his hand between your bodies and started to draw circle eights with the tip of his fingers on your clit, finding the bundle of nerves quite easily.
“Sannie…” you moaned his name, voice coming out way higher than usual, whining.
“Com’on baby, cum for me” San whispered on top of you, his own pleasure getting the best of him. “Fuck, yn! You’re so tight. I’m close too” he increased his speed, hips pistoning in an erratic manner, pleasure taking the best of you both.
“‘M coming” you managed to say before cumming around his cock. Squelching lewd noises of your juices wetting you even more filling up the room as he kept his movements.
It didn’t take much longer for him to cum too, pulling his dick from you and milking all over your belly, some of the gooey liquid falling on your chest.
San took some time to regain his breathing and cleaned you the best he could with some clean cloth he found in the bathroom of the room. He helped you to put back your underwear and put on his shirt, and laid with you on the bed. Your head resting on top of his chest and fingertips playing with his own.
“ I can’t believe this is all real” you broke the silence, taking a deep breath in and taking in his sweaty musky scent.
“Me neither” he confessed, eyes focused on the ceiling, thinking about so many things but at the same time only about you. “I don’t want to risk losing you. I can’t lose you”.
You turned your face to look at him, pulling his head down to focus on you. His eyes glassy, watery. He was allowing himself to be vulnerable in so many years.
“You won’t lose me. I’m right here. I’m not going anywhere” you caressed his face and he closed his eyes to enjoy the touch. “I’m all yours now. Forever”
“Forever” he kissed you one last time before falling asleep with you in his arms for the first day for the rest of your lives.
