Photo by @the_positiveway8 All of your feelings are valid and it's important to feel them all, even the hard ones. This is something it has taken me so long to learn. I spent so many years bottling up my feelings. Believe me, once you've tried to cram them down for long enough they will explode out at some point anyway. Even if you hate to cry, for example, you still have to let it out sometimes if you're really sad. But it's also really important to learn how to feel your feelings and let them out in healthy ways, not by turning to substances or lashing out at someone. For me personally it really helps to talk things through with my therapist and have her help me identify my emotions. And honestly I have learned so many ways to let my feelings out by searching on Pinterest. Let me know if you want me to make a follow-up post sometime of different ways you can let feelings out. Let’s be real, not all days are going to feel like you’re on top of the world... Having a great day doesn’t mean you have to do something big and exciting. My 6 week intensive is perfect if you’re “stuck in a rut” - if you want to start feeling better, even if nothing changes. But it’s also perfect spread out slightly longer (10-12 weeks), to get you out of that rut, and on your way to tackling that goal that metaphorically feels like climbing a mountain. Whether your goal takes you 3 months, 6 months, the whole of 2021, or the next 10 years, you have one day at a time to make it better. 📸: I set my 2022 bar high starting on top of a mountain 🤪 😆 but realized each and every single day counts... as of Jan 3 today, there are 362 days left to make great... “great” doesn’t have to mean climbing a mountain or doing “something big”. Great can be tea with a friend, or an afternoon nap... time in nature, or an hour dedicated to the goals you have set for yourself. I hope you find little ways to make each day great.
