Working from home day! Which also means checking in on the boyfriend working on our wardrobe 💪🏻 Stella and I make a very good team when it comes to supervising tasks 😌
Today I changed my usual room where I study and went on the balcony. Such a nice view!!! It felt like I was in the woods. How are you guys doing today?
Hey lovelies this is a reminder to not listen to productivity influencers all the time. Please don't make every part of your day productive. You don't need to listen to self help podcasts while getting ready. You don't need to make all of your reading focused on mental health. You don't need to make a schedule to ensure that maximum productivity is reached. You aren't alive to rush to the grave babe.
Do listen to podcasts and music that make you happy and get you excited. Do read things you enjoy reading. Do make a schedule with rest time in it. Do take little breaks. Go feel the sun on your skin. I promise that taking time to actually exist and be alive won't somehow make you less productive. And in fact, you'll probably be more productive.
If you push yourself and focus on productivity and betterment constantly, you're going to burnout real quick. So take some breaks and go outside and stretch your arms and turn your head up and spin in the rain. Jump in the puddles and get those new shoes wet. End your study session early because you're frustrated and tired and make a cup of tea and get some cookies and watch a show. Read that fantasy book with moral lesson. Go take that night out with friends.
Please, please, please, PLEASE, P L E A S E don't let productivity be all you do. Live little. Relax. Really relax. Take personal days. Yes, get those grades and study and clean your house and stuff, but don't let it suffocate you. Ultimately this is your life love. Go live it. And don't feel guilty for living.
since starting med school, i’ve found that one of the easiest ways to make time for friends and socializing is through sharing and enjoying meals together :-)
30nym challenge Day 3: What does your ideal study plan look like this week?
Next week I am tutoring M1 students about performing physical exams, so I’m planning to review the material and brainstorm some relevant fun facts to make it a bit more fun. Only about 20 min of studying/prepping per day.
august tenth: this summer I said goodbye to the beautiful, light-filled apartment that saw me through the entirety of law school and the bar exam to move in with my partner. I’ll miss my fireside reading book the most—
11.27.2023 — End of quarter project is coming along nicely. Will probably be done a couple days before the December 1st due date. Good luck with your final exams and projects! You’re almost there!
Two more weeks and I finish my 3rd year in medical school. Can't believe how time flies. I recently bought my first Yankee candle (I always make my own candles but my curiousity to see Yankee's performance was high + I wanted something pride related). Hope you have a fantastic weekend and keep up the good work!
1 hour 35 mins into my commercial law exam (26 hour long, open-book, take home exam to be clear) and I've already started on the essay question? Academic weapon who?? In past years it's taken 4 hours of planning to actually begin; I think writing my dissertation this year and really consolidating a lot of the legal writing skills from over the years has helped me legitimately level up in terms of intelligence and academic ability to the point where these exams aren't so bad as before.
Or maybe,,, maybe it's because my revision was far more effective this year with fewer distractions and I attended way more classes this year? But also definitely feeling a lot more confident generally, especially in my writing ability.
Anyway, good exam vibes so far ^_^ 24.5 hours remaining!!
it was a difficult start today but hopefully I've found a rhythm typing up an argument from one of my main sources. trying to stay small-task oriented to not get overwhelmed.
