2.18.2024 — 오늘 제 여동생의 방에서 공부해요. 저는 너무 바빠. Besides the chapter quiz, which should really only take 십오 minutes or less, I’m literally taking the day off of work and studying to run errands and clean. 근데, 저는 책상을 샀어요. I’m sort of excited, mostly to decorate my space. It’s pretty small, but I’ll make it my own. Midterms are this week along with normal course work, so here we go!

Today is my last day studying in my old apartment. It hasn’t hit me that I have to move twice within two months, but I’m sure it will. I got myself a new mouse, as a treat… it’s pink 🌸
I’m finding it hard to find a groove with my studies, I think it’s because my class schedule is still becoming concrete - hopefully I’ll have something down by next week!

How I've Used My iPad to Boost Productivity
25 September 2022
A recent trend for students in high school and college is to buy new technology, such as new computers or tablets, to help them be better students. There are many benefits to using new technology, especially with the way that current technology is constantly getting better. It's been a couple months but I did end up going with the trend of getting a new iPad to use for school back in May of this year.
1. Textbook Notes
My textbook notes have gotten better over the past couple of months as I am now able to easily switch back and forth between the textbook I'm using and the notebook I'm writing in. Before I got my tablet, I was constantly confused about where I was in the textbook when I closed it and when I looked back after taking a single note from the actual textbook. With the tablet, I am able to automatically open my textbook to the page that I was last looking at, as well as mark exactly where I was in the reading before I either stopped reading or moved to take notes on what I just read.
Another benefit is that I am able to easily copy images between my textbook and my notes due to screenshots. I take the screenshot immediately from my textbook and format my notes around the screenshot instead of just making a random space that may or may not be able to fit a clear picture of the image from the textbook or a drawing of the picture that will probably just confuse me more.
2. Consolidation
One thing that my program in school has shown me that is important is that you need to be able to get to everything that you need as quickly as you can. This used to be a binder for me, but that took up a lot of space in my bags, was extremely heavy, and just wasn't that useful as classes started doing more things online.
My tablet has allowed me to put all of the information I have from a class into one singular place, whether it be an app, a digital folder, or just on the main screen of the tablet. I am able to find everything that I need in just a few taps rather than shuffling around randomly in a binder, folder, or book bag.
3. Documents
With my iPad, I have been able to take all of the documents that my teachers have given me online and actually use them. I am able to easily take the documents they gave me, download them, and annotate them as they go over the document in class, as opposed to when the teacher would just show us the document and talk about it, leaving the students to take weird notes about the document in general rather than the specific things that the teacher points out in class.
It also allows me to turn all of the paper documents into digital documents so that they can all be easily annotated and kept in the same place.
I am just trying to share my experience with getting a new iPad. I am not trying to tell you that you should absolutely no matter what get a tablet to help out with school or that getting this tablet is going to completely solve your problems as a procrastinator, but it has helped me a lot on getting to the path that I want to be on.
If you have an iPad, let me know how your tablet has helped you and how you use it to help you. And if you don't, let me know what kinds of things you do in your life that kind of match what I mentioned above.
I love hearing from you guys and I can't wait to see you guys achieve everything you want.

Good evening!
It's my birthday, so I didn't do anything school related, lol. It was a pretty chill day though, got ice cream for my sister (we're twins), and spent time with my dad. There's still some more festivities to happen, but it's been a nice day :)
Here's my notes on punishment for Ethics ^^

I am currently speed running two mid terms (Idk if it’s actually called that in English), which I completely forgot about and totally glazed over in my emails. That is on me. I’ve mostly studied from Thursday so little writing has been done.
But I have something(at least 2k I think, that is something to work on) and I’ll try to get it up by today when I’m done

Weather Update: Notion Review
If you have read my post from last week, you will know that I am currently trying and testing different productivity sites and apps to see which one actually makes me stop procrastinating and start being productive. The first review that I will be doing is about Notion as that is the one that I started out this school year using.
Pros
Inexpensive. This site is very inexpensive and very beneficial for people who don’t have a lot of money to be randomly spending on productivity programs. While there is a premium version, a lot of useful features are available without it. However, if you do wish to get the premium version, it is only $5/month or $50/year.
Templates. The templates on this site are very thorough and you can edit them all depending on what you need to do with each. There are many different types of tables, lists, and format options that are already set up if you choose one of the pre-made templates, and you can always edit them to make sure that they hold what you need it to hold. The templates can range from helping you with classes in school, projects you need to do for work, or personal goals and planning for your free time.
User-friendly. The site’s opening page is an instructional page that comes up all the time whenever you sign in on your computer, though you can change it to whatever main page you want. This front page shows you all of the things you can do if you want to start a page from scratch, and the templates also help guide you with the same kind of instructions. No matter what, you will always be able to see what you are able to do by looking at this first page or by looking at the instructions given by the template. The aesthetic of the page is also very simple and easy to look at with a neutral color theme and adjustable menus.
Cons
Tables. When working on the tables, it is very hard to get them to data between pages unless you make the table its own separate page. It also doesn’t really help that each time you input a thing into a table, that topic/main thing creates its own page itself. While this can be useful to some, it can also be very annoying, especially since this is not something that you can turn off. This leads to you having a ton of pages branching from one table, even if you don’t need those pages.
Colors. Due to Notion using mainly pastel colors, some of the colors look very similar or are hard to see. While the aesthetic is nice, it can be kind of difficult to use especially if you accidentally color code things in colors that are those colors that look similar in Notion. This is definitely a bad thing if you need to be able to look at things at a glance and be able to tell exactly what you need to do very quickly.
Pages. While the organization they can provide is nice, some of the things that Notion automatically turns into pages aren’t what you need. For example, you could put down a simple task into a table and that very simple task just turns into a page and you can’t get rid of the link to a page without deleting what you already typed on the first page. You can see what pages you have through a dropdown page, but due to the size of the menu, you can’t see the full title of the page so you also have t be careful with what you type as the title of a page.
Why it Did/Didn’t Work for Me
I feel like even though Notion is a good tool, it is not what I need it to be. I feel like the fact that it is a site on a computer isn’t that useful unless I am able to make that site the very first page that opens whenever I get on my computer. I also just personally need something that gives me reminders of what I need to do and when the deadlines for the tasks. I am also just not a big fan of the fact that I can’t see all of the information I need for the day easily when I open certain things.
I feel like Notion is something that you need to commit to if you want it to work for you, and it’s very hard for me to commit to something that I can easily forget about whenever I close my computer or look away from the window or tab that it’s in.
If you are a person who swears by Notion, let me know why you think it works for you. And please let me know any tips and tricks you have any. If you don’t use Notion, let me know what kind of sites, apps, or programs you use to kind of steer you on the right track towards being productive so that maybe I can try them. Or let me know which ones you want me to look into if you are curious about any of the productivity programs out there.

Good evening!
Today I finished my final paper for Interpersonal Communication. Which means that I'm officially done with the winter 2022 semester! In reflection, I wished my classes weren't remote (thanks omicron), but I learned a lot and enjoyed it as well. This will be my last post until the summer 2022 semester, so I can take a week long break. Thanks for following me for this semester, and see you in May!
Here's my notes on violence and war for Ethics ^^
