percabeth/ pjo for your recent prompt!!!
"Oh, you little shit."
Percy grins at her, rocking back on his heels. "What? You don't like it?"
Annabeth holds up the shirt. "It says 'Fleece Navidad.'"
Percy nods, practically vibrating with excitement. Annabeth wants to clothesline him onto the couch. "It's a pun!"
"It's a terrible pun," Annabeth says, but she can't stop the laugh. "Oh, my gods, where'd you even get this?"
"Made it," Percy replies, and the pride in his eyes. "Ordered it and designed it, because I know how much you hate puns."
"That is - you are so..." Annabeth trails off. "Oh, fuck it." She strides toward him and pulls him in, kissing him so hard she hopes he feels her frustration.
"You like the shirt," Percy murmurs against her lips.
Annabeth pushes him to the couch. "Shut up and take your pants off."

Samatoki had always been the one to touch Ichiro, back then.
Tousling his hair, slinging an arm around his shoulders. Even piercing his ears. Ichiro made no secret of the fact that he loved it. He wasn't shy about bumping up against Samatoki, leaning into him like an overly affectionate cat. But he rarely reached out to Samatoki with his own two hands, like he didn't quite dare.
At least, he didn't back then.
Samatoki wasn't sure when that had changed, wasn't sure when Ichiro had grown so bold.
But something had definitely changed.
Samatoki remembered the first awkward lunch they'd had together a few weeks after the final division rap battle—him, Ichiro, Ramuda, and Jakurai. They'd agreed to meet up at a neutral location, a family restaurant in Nakano. Samatoki had been the last to arrive, and with Ramuda and Jakurai already crowded into one side of their booth, Samatoki had had to squeeze in next to Ichiro.
He remembered the way Ichiro's wrist had bumped into his, again and again. Just light, fleeting brushes, but a few too many for them all to be written off as pure coincidence or the consequence of a too-small table.
Samatoki hadn't thought much of it then. He'd missed Ichiro something fierce in the years they'd fought, and he knew that feeling was mutual, even if neither of them were saying it out loud. If those brushes of Ichiro's hand against the back of his own was Ichiro's way of being a little clingy, a little needy, well—Samatoki saw no need to make him feel self-conscious about that.
It was a little cute.
But it didn't stop there.
Samatoki remembered standing in a crowd with Ichiro, near the back of the live house where Kuko's enormous boyfriend's band was playing a show. Ichiro had invited him, and though it wasn't really Samatoki's sort of music, he'd gone along in the spirit of peace, love, and unity. Or whatever.
At one point, just a few songs before the encore, Ichiro slipped away to get them a second round of drinks. He touched a hand to Samatoki's hip when he got back, to get Samatoki's attention.
Then he left it there, that hand. Samatoki had been a bit too distracted to really notice it in the moment—the music wasn't that bad, actually—but when the lights dimmed for the final time, he brushed his own hand over his hip and found a spot that felt unusually warm.
He remembered, a few weeks after that, falling asleep in the shade on a beach trip Ramuda had insisted on organizing for them all. It wound up being a pretty big deal, five days in Okinawa with nearly twenty people. Big and noisy, too noisy for Samatoki's taste.
He'd watched for a while as Rio taught Ichiro and the two mini Ichiros how to surf, before drifting off under the big umbrella Jakurai's guys had brought (which Samatoki had summarily commandeered).
When he woke, there was an arm around his shoulders and a body at his side. The beach had grown quiet, and the sun had started to set.
Samatoki remembered blinking sluggishly before realizing it was Ichiro next to him, dozing, even snoring lightly, with an arm around his shoulders. Keeping him warm, as a chill settled over the beach.
"Hi," Ichiro murmured when he woke, voice husky with sleep. "Didn't want you getting cold out here."
"Could've woken me up."
Ichiro hummed and held Samatoki closer, tighter. "Didn't want that either."
Maybe that was when something changed, or at least when Samatoki noticed the change.
Ichiro was touching him a lot these days, and nothing about it was accidental.
They were also spending a lot of time together these days. Just like old times, and yet not at all like old times.
Samatoki almost always invited Ichiro when he felt like going out for drinks, and Ichiro in turn invited Samatoki to all sorts of concerts—small, intimate gigs, usually. Even after the division rap battles, they were both keen to keep music in their lives.
At those shows, or the clubs Samatoki liked to visit, Ichiro always found some way to touch Samatoki. Sometimes it was just a brush of fingers when Ichiro passed him a drink. Sometimes it was a hand at Samatoki's hip, or even an arm around Samatoki's waist, to keep him steady and close in the throng of the crowd.
Sometimes Samatoki leaned into it.
And Ichiro, no matter how bold he'd grown, still got a little flustered at that. Samatoki could tell, even in the near-dark of the concerts and clubs where Ichiro dared to touch him. The way Ichiro's whole body burned a little hotter when Samatoki leaned against him, the way a hesitant and hopeful smile curved his lips—Samatoki didn't miss any of it.
Most of the clubs and bars Samatoki liked weren't really the sort where people danced. He took Ichiro to places where they could have a few drinks, listen to decent music, and talk with their heads bowed close together.
But Ichiro had been patient enough.
Patient, careful, and wanting.
So, one night, Samatoki took him to a place where they could dance, and he let Ichiro take the lead. It was clear from the moment they stepped inside that the music, the atmosphere, the night—everything was different. Clear to Samatoki, clear to Ichiro.
Ichiro hardly hesitated at all to lead Samatoki into the mesh of bodies on the dance floor. He didn't wait to slide his hands to Samatoki's hips. His touch was gentle, his hold light enough that Samatoki could freely turn, putting his back to Ichiro's chest and tugging Ichiro's arms around his waist.
The shaky breath that fell from Ichiro's lips landed directly upon Samatoki's ear, saying more than either of them could have expressed in words.
That breath spoke volumes of how long Ichiro had been waiting for this, wanting this. Just holding Samatoki, really holding him, seemed to be enough to send a tremor down his spine.
Samatoki moved with him, against him, to the beat of the music thudding in their ears. But he barely heard it over the pounding of Ichiro's heartbeat, pulsing against his back. Samatoki could swear he heard it beat faster, harder, when he danced his fingers over the backs of Ichiro's hands, up his wrists, teasing under the sleeves of the hoodie Ichiro wore.
"You've been trying to seduce me," Samatoki accused, lolling his head back onto Ichiro's shoulder to murmur directly into his ear.
Another breath puffed from Ichiro's lips, a shaky little laugh. "Kinda… hoped I'd done more than try."
Samatoki hummed and laid his hands over Ichiro's, marveling at how big they'd grown, how strong they felt. He led one a little lower, letting Ichiro's thumb graze the bare skin of his abdomen, exposed by the open buttons of his shirt.
They both shivered, as one.
"Don't let me go home alone tonight."
"I won't," Ichiro vowed in a hurry. "I wouldn't. Not tonight. Not ever again."

Galladrabbles - Doubt (2)
After the slightly slutty drabble yesterday, inspiration struck again for @galladrabbles and @sleepyfacetoughguy prompt "doubt". Oops.
---
The past is a cruel teacher.
It teaches Mickey that he’s never good enough, sick and perverted. To duck quicker to escape his father’s fist. To punch harder to quell any feelings that just.can’t.be.
It teaches Mickey that he’s shitty in any and all ways.
The past is a healer. It’s huge hands, holding him so tightly. They won’t let go. Not ever again.
“I love you, Mick.”, drowns out hateful words, teaches him that sometimes good things stay.
The present’s different. It’s small hands sliding around his neck, a tiny trusting voice whispering.
“I love you, Daddy.”

We're TRENDINGG for no REASONN just like god DECREEDD, so here are 5 fics that would steal your breath away:
Tumblr media
1. My breaths are run by your compass by regulusrules. [T] [20K+] [post-camlann fix-it] [golden age but merlin stabs arthur in his heart first].
Not because it's my fic and it's genuinely so insane you won't believe it, but honestly, it's the best idea I've ever come up with, even better than the widely beloved my heart is readily yours. For me, it's the perfect continuation of their story, and the most unhinged plot twist you could find in a fic.
2. Half of my soul by @clockwrkpendrxgon. [G] [2K] [MCD] [golden age growing old together]
This fic is half of my soul, or what the poets say. It's so much better as an ending than what they've given us. At least this is filled with such golden love it makes you ache. At least this makes sense.
3. from hearth and ashes, we’re reborn by @remuscariad. [G] [5K] [canon era magic reveal].
This fic is so good you'll be on your knees from it. The prose, the characterization, the tropes used... it will linger in your mind and fester there from how beautiful it all is. And the art in it by @onepeppercorn... stunning.
4. Our broken pieces by @aramblingjay. [T] [10K] [canon era established relationship]
You can pry this fic from my cold dead hands. I will never stop recommending it until it gets the fame it deserves. One of the most beautiful fics ever written about them, and genuinely encompasses their characters so perfectly.
5. gentle as an early spring breeze by @prattery. [G] [2.5K] [canon divergence golden age]
They are alive and in love and we're all living in this fic because it's what they righteously deserved. The way their life was written here and the love between them... I swear this author could write anything and I'd kudos it before even reading it.

“i must have been real sweet on you,” eddie murmurs as he runs his fingers over his husband’s cheek, sleepy and sated, warm in their bed.
steve chuckles, twisting his head to catch the tips of eddie’s fingers with a kiss. “why are you talking past tense? you’re not sweet on me now?”
the room is peacefully still. years of baby monitors are long gone only to inevitably give way to their daughter’s teenage years of slamming doors and too loud stereo speakers. but in this moment, with the pale moonlight streaming in through the windows and crickets chirping in the distance, the room is peaceful, thick with love.
“quit your pouting, ‘course i’m sweet on you now.” eddie wipes away steve’s fake frown with a kiss, turning it into a sticky sweet grin. “it’s just something my mom used to tell me. that freckles are all the places your soulmate in a past life kissed you.”
eddie pushes steve back so he’s laying flat on the mattress and dips his head to press featherlight kisses on the side of his neck. across his shoulders. over his cheeks. his fingertips flutter over the spots afterwards, leaving goosebumps in their wake despite the heat radiating between them.
“must have loved you a whole lot in our last lives to leave so many on you now,” eddie whispers, pulling back to stroke the back of his hand over steve’s face once more, letting his lips curl up in a dopey half smile that only steve ever gets to see.
it doesn’t take long for steve to tilt his head up and press kisses of his own where he can; under eddie’s eye, the bottom of his chin, right over his heart. it doesn’t take long for eddie to giggle as his sensitive spots are found and attacked with ticklish kisses and fluttering eyelashes. it doesn’t take long for their legs to tangle together underneath the sheets and their breaths to get caught in their chests and their hearts to start beating a beautiful melody of their own making.
steve lays a firm kiss to the side of eddie’s chest, over jagged white scarring and half bitten away tattoos. over memories that somehow don’t haunt them as much anymore.
“what was that one for?” eddie asks, eyes half lidded, the adoration in his voice loud across the quiet room.
another kiss on another scar. “wanna give you some freckles. for your next life and for this one, too. so you know just how sweet on you I am-” kiss, “ -and was-” kiss, “- and forever will be.”
they won’t know for however many more years if it worked or not. but here in this lifetime, they have all the time in the world to try their damndest to make sure it does. in this lifetime, they don’t have to worry, because they know they’ll  find each other in the next one.

Just Between Us, Do You Remember It?
Author: @cryscendo
Rating: M
Status: Completed in January 2024
Word Count: 17, 040
Summary: He sat alone at a table in a quaint, little coffee shop in the city. He chose this shop, because he knew that it was never particularly crowded. He was going to need every ounce of privacy that he could get.
He was well over halfway through his first cup of coffee when a voice requested his attention — a voice that he was all too familiar with.
“Y’know, I’m honestly surprised you were willing to meet with me.”
Kurt turned, taking in a figure that he had not seen organically in just over three years. Even then, something about looking at the older man made his heart skip in ways that he did not want to think about.
Tropes/Genre: age!gap, future!fic, angst, long one shot, song fic based on Taylor Swift's All Too Well
Lynne's review: Excellent! I couldn't stop reading. Heartbreaking, yet loving. Loved it.

Do you think Bucky would be possessive if you aren't his girl?
Tumblr media
Nonnie, I think you forgot a word at the end of your question.
YET.
You aren't his girl yet.
But imagine Bucky is sitting at a table and a few agents are sitting there as well. He tries to block out the chatter, until one of them mentions your name. Followed by his.
"Barnes, you hitting that?"
Which would have him seeing red. Because he wants to fuck you, yes. He also wants to give you the care you deserve. He wants you to be his completely.
"If you're asking if she's my girl," he says as calmly as he can manage, "No."
"So, I have a chance," the agent smirks.
That look is quickly wiped away when Bucky takes a knife out of what appears to be thin air and drives it through the table as the chatter ceases. The blade is right between the agent's fingers. Miraculously, he didn't get cut.
The former Asset is that good.
"You didn't let me finish. She's not my girl yet. So, no, you don't have a chance."
But the question is, did you happen to walk in and witness the event or did word get around?
Love and thanks! ❤️

786 words | rating: g | future!fic, developing relationship
Out there, waist-deep in the sea under the glow of a waning moon, the rest of the world didn't feel quite real.
Ichiro didn't know what it was that drew him out there so late at night, after his brothers were asleep. Their flight back to Tokyo was early the next morning; he should have been sleeping too.
But at half past midnight, he climbed out of his futon, slipped out of the inn, and waded into the sea.
What was he looking for?
What was he waiting for?
He didn't know.
But he somehow wasn't surprised when the calm waters rippled around him, betraying the approach of another body. He somehow had been expecting it, when Samatoki came to a stop at his side.
They hadn't talked about meeting up that night. In fact, when they ran into each other earlier that day and realized they'd come to vacation with their divisions in the same small town that sat along the same small stretch of beach, they hadn't talked at all. Jiro and Saburo had exchanged a few words with Rio, and Ichiro and Samatoki had briefly exchanged a look.
That was all.
And yet, somehow Ichiro had known he wouldn't leave without seeing Samatoki again. He'd known Samatoki would come to him, in this place that didn't feel quite real.
They still didn't talk when Samatoki came to stand next to him, in the water that was still slightly warmed by the memory of the sun. These days, they were really good at not talking to each other. Which meant they weren't fighting, either, but also not…
Not moving on, not just yet.
Was it time?
Were they ready?
It was a hot enough night that Ichiro had gone to bed in basketball shorts and a tank top. Samatoki was more or less dressed the same. The water lapped at their waists and, bit by bit, climbed higher from the hem of their shirts.
Samatoki was the first to shiver. He lifted his hands, maybe to rub his arms, but Ichiro caught one of them and held it.
That surprised him, more than Samatoki coming out to meet him in the sea.
They didn't talk these days, and they certainly didn't hold hands.
Had they ever held hands?
Samatoki looked as surprised as Ichiro felt, but he didn't pull his hand away. He let Ichiro hold it, and even let Ichiro lift it higher, to clasp it between both of his own hands. He only watched, curious and perhaps a little indulgent, as he let Ichiro do as he pleased.
Ichiro had never held Samatoki's hand like this before.
Maybe that was why it felt like something he could do. Maybe they couldn't take back what they'd lost, but could find a way to fit anew.
"Ichiro."
His name, spoken in Samatoki's voice, was a familiar thing. Samatoki had spoken his name countless times before. But like that? Had he ever spoken it like that before?
Ichiro lifted their joined hands and bowed his head, bringing his hands and Samatoki's up to his forehead, almost as though in prayer. He closed his eyes and breathed in the scent of Samatoki and the ocean spray.
They would never be the same as before. Too much had happened, too much had changed. It didn't matter, in the end, who had been pulling the strings; there were things Ichiro would never forget.
But maybe they could be changed, together.
"I was in love with you," Ichiro said.
Samatoki's fingers curled in his hold. Moving slowly, like Ichiro was a skittish creature that could so easily be scared back into hiding, Samatoki faced him and wrapped his free arm around his waist, shielding Ichiro from the steady roll of the tide.
"I know."
Ichiro clutched Samatoki's hand tighter. His lips formed the shape of a hurt, but relieved, smile. It helped that Samatoki didn't try to feign surprise. It helped that Samatoki didn't push him away, but in fact drew him closer and held him tighter.
"I want so badly to be in love with you again," Ichiro whispered.
Samatoki did finally pull his hand back now, but only to take one of Ichiro's in his own. He laced their fingers together and brought their hands down to skim the surface of the water, so he could press his forehead to Ichiro's, to the spot their hands had been.
"I'll wait," he promised.
Maybe the past was well and truly lost to them both, and maybe they weren't yet ready to define the future.
But if Samatoki would wait…
Ichiro, for the first time in a long time, allowed himself to feel a little safe in Samatoki's embrace.

thinking about gojo asking you if you think you would be together in your other lifetimes and you say yes. and you are — he’s a model and you’re his photographer, he’s a prince and you’re his knight, he’s your actor husband and you’re his singer wife, and he’s your target and you’re his assassin—
and you are together in every life — one way or another — but in this life, you part, as you watch him fall to Sukuna.
and you wait for the next life, where you can finally be together.
