Alright, let's get into this and we'll shake up the order a little bit, and go alphabetically.

Donquixote Rosinante:

Lingerie - FUCK Yes - this is a man who can appreciate the finer things in life, even if he's not nearly as driven as his brother to obtain them. A man of simple pleasures, he's happy to have you in whatever state you can offer, but dolled up in lingerie is a feast for the senses. He'll drink in the look of you, and his hands won't stop moving as they slowly strip away the things he wants to. He's highly unlikely to tear anything off of you, preferring to see you wear it again, but he'll certainly tease you as he strips you.

As for wearing it, you could convince him easily enough. He's not going to let anyone else see, and you have to hope his clumsiness doesn't kick in while he's trying to put it on. But he won't be uncomfortable with it, and he'll enjoy your enjoyment of it.

Sensory Deprivation - He starts at a Sure, he turns into a Oh god you don't even know - I posit that Rosi's clumsiness is partially due to his inability to be duplicitous. He's really bad at it, which is unnerving for a guy who is undercover a lot. Thus it manifests in just wild acts of clumsiness - but that said, when no one's watching him he's incredibly skilled. (Also if he's not undercover or needing to be undercover, his clumsiness eases up a lot, imo).

But covering your eyes, dampening your hearing, standing out of your reach and teasing you with feathers, fingers, kisses, etc. he revels in the sounds that come from you. Those nervous, laughter-edged gasps of pleasure and soft moans of delight are music to his ears. The shiver and twitch of your body, tentative hands reaching out to try and find him, muscles flexing against the pleasure - deprivation that it might be for you, it's a feast for him.

Over-stimulation - Yes - He loves the pleasure of it. Both the giving and receiving of it, as it's nice to lay back and let you pump pleasure into his body until he can't take. The only thing that keeps it from rating higher is that he's not keen on causing his partner pain. So he's always minding that thin, thin line between pleasure and hell.

He wants you to lose your mind to the pleasure, but he doesn't want it to start to hurt. He can take the pain when it happens, that's his job, but it's not for you. Even if you like a little pain in your love life he's going to struggle to provide it a little bit.

X Drake:

Lingerie - FUCK Yes - for both you wearing it and him wearing it. Look, he's 99% dom as I've said before, 50/50 on the top/bottom prospect, but what he does have is a lil' humiliation kink. Lingerie plays to it very nicely (feels nice to wear it too), especially if you start praising how good he looks. You can see his face and chest light up like a christmas tree.

Drake can both preserve your lingerie and rip it off you - depends on his mood (and your say in it. Some lingerie is for destruction, some of it's expensive.)

Sensory Deprivation - Oh god you don't even know - Drake's big button is control. He does enough undercover work where he has to let go of control for things to progress that he doesn't like letting go of the reigns in the bedroom. For the same reasons he prefers to be in control, he's good at it - you have to snatch the reigns fast when the opportunity arises, after all.

Sensory deprivation is controlling what you do and don't sense, and this man revels in it. That whole Predatory/Prey kicks in a little too, and as much as he tries to keep it under control, it certainly adds to things in this case. You at least look like prey, unsure of where he is, unsure of what will happen next, what kind of pleasure or pain will find you - how long the game will last before you're devoured.

And he loves to swing Sensory Deprivation straight into --

Over-stimulation - Oh god you don't even know - Two sides of the same coin, Drake loves both over stim and sensory deprivation. There's an element of control to each, and taking you from one extreme to the next is the height of his desire. It's like sitting in a warm Jacuzzi and then having someone toss you into an ice-cold pool. There's a rush to it - for him and you - and he'll keep that rush going for hours if there's time enough for it.

Often you won't even get your senses back as you're being over-stimulated, completely in his hands and lost in pleasure. You might feel like you're drowning in it, but you won't need to fear actual drowning, Drake won't let you get hurt in that way.

Killer:

Lingerie - Oh god you don't even know - He can be gentle with it, but let this man just wreck some of it as often as possible. Tearing holes into fishnets, ripping lacy pieces off you like wrapping. Even if you've explained something isn't for destruction, you can still feel his fingers and muscles flex with a need. That heated wall of muscle against you, hot heavy breath pouring over your skin, a deep voice sinking into your core, praising you for gifting him like this. It's not often he struggles to hold back, but there's just something about it.

And he'll wear it - Sure/Yes - he's not against putting it on, but it's not going to do a whole lot for him that way. There's no humiliation in it for him, clothes are clothes when they're on him. He'll flex and flaunt though, he knows he looks damn good.

Sensory Deprivation - FUCK Yes - the little gasps and whimpers, the sensation of practically getting to hunt you down, he enjoys it. He can be a little cruel with it, leaving you completely untouched for long stretches of time as you try to find him or call out for him. What senses you have left straining to find him to the point that you sometimes jump at absolutely nothing.

He'll tease you until you're begging him for his touch, and then he'll shift into --

Over-stimulation - Oh god you don't even know - This is one of Killer's favorite things, and he's all in for it to be done To Him as much as he is to do it to you. Pain or pleasure doesn't matter, the idea is to drown in it, to let it soak down into your bones and bring you to the brink again and again.

Whether you're dominating him or not, he can get caught up in your pleasure just as well. Cumming over and over again along with you, keeping himself in check just enough to be able to keep watch over you as you writhe and squirm and beg beneath him. You're beautiful to him all the time, but you're nearly divine during these moments.

Cora: I got called Donquixote six times today. And also got called 'Doflamingo's little brother' three times. The name/title itself doesn't bother me, it's just people's tones...

Law, quietly: would you like mine?

Law, stammering out a 'logical' explanation: I mean, if you had someone else's last name people would be more comfortable and accepting... I think. It would make it harder for them to remember and recognise that you're a part of the Donquixote family.

Cora: oh.. makes sense.

Law: so..?

Cora, laughing: propose to me properly, at least!

(Law didn't propose to him that day of course, because 1. he didn't have a ring and 2. he wanted to do it properly. Plus he wanted to surprise Cora. So I'm thinking he probably spent 3-5 weeks waiting before he officially proposed to catch Cora off-guard. Maybe it was grand, or maybe it was on a simple night when they're out on the Polar Tang's deck while talking about everything and nothing at all. In any way I want the Heart crew to be there bc they're precious to me. They burst through the doors and tackle the fiancées to give their congratulations lol. Trafalgar D. "FARMBOY" AND "COWBOY" THEY'RE SO CUTE. UGH. farmboy luffy and his strawhat sitting in the sunlight, or carrying a bunch of sunflowers and other things he's grown to Ace... I reeeeallllllly want a cute little AU where like, Ace is an experienced cowboy (maybe he works as a ranch hand on Whitebeard's property or something?) and then Luffy buys the open land across from him. He drops by now and then, at first to ask Ace for help with little tasks while setting up his farm (and he always offers to help Ace with his work in return), but then he starts stopping by just to chat with Ace or watch him work or slip in compliments about how cool he looks... Ace is flustered and also thrown off by Luffy's carefree attitude, and the grump inside him thinks Luffy won't last a month as a farmer. But Luffy's persistent, and (with the help of a seemingly endless list of friends) he gets a nice farm going... Maybe he even starts bringing Ace flowers from the small patch by his house................... And Ace mellows out and admits that he's sweet on him and,,,,, ahhh,,,,,

Uh, random Christmas Corazon fic, GO!

Christmas was one of those holidays that seemed to roll around either too fast, or too slow, depending on who in the family you asked. Sometimes, as in Dellinger's opinion, it was beyond slow, and almost halted all together. But, in Rosinante’s case, it always seemed to come faster than last year. And this year was no exception.

Do not get him wrong, the man enjoyed the holidays as much as the next person could, however it was the joy his brother held for it that caused these holiday woes. There was not a soul alive in the whole wide sea, let alone Dressrosa, that Rosi could think prepared so vigilantly, so enthusiastically, as his older brother. It was like a light switch had gone off a week after the leaves began to completely leave the trees. When the winds picked up, the garden outside that Rosinante, and some of the family had planted, began to shrink away into nothing but frozen soil. The only thing left growing was the smile, if it even was possible, of Donquixote Doflamingo.

Doflamingo’s talent for these kinds of crafts had begun the instant the devil fruit was given to him, but by the time his brother returned to him, mute and quiet, his mastery of the skill had already gone exponentially. And so had his personality blossomed into what it is today. It was like leaving two seeds in the soil, and returning to see two roses, one red, and one black. Both covered in thorns, but beautiful to view. You could hardly tell they were the same species, but they did fall from the same seed. That seed however had long since vanished, leaving the tying factor between the brothers as simply the false golden blood that ran inside of their veins. Growing up, the holiday was seen as something of a spectacle rather than any kind of family holiday. To see who could get a gift the other had not seen before already. To see who could spend the most for a diamond covered tree. To see what the rich could get, that was different then what normally was given. It was not a day of importance, rather, a day of contest. Such was the spirit of Christmas to a lot of the higher ups of the world, Celestial Dragons especially, if not only. What bothered Rosinante about these facts was not so much the past, but the present behavior. Well, behavior of one. His brother.

Another memory returns to his mind, a glance at a time when their parents still stared lovingly down at them.

“WHY CAN’T WE JUST HAVE THE SLAVES DO IT???” The blonde screamed towards his father. Honing just remained smiling, like he always did in Rosinante’s memory. His father never had seemed angry with him or Doffy. Never a scowl or a frown. He always seemed to be in the best of moods, no matter the situation, and that optimism meant more than it did at the time, looking back on it now.

“Because this does not work, dears! We have hands, do we not? Like everyone else. Let's use them for this task. It is not a chore Doffy, it is for fun!” The two little boys simply watched, stupefied as the man bring up a long string of fuzzy, shimmering tinsel, confused. In his other hand; a pair of silver scissors.

Rosinante can recall, thinking back on it, how much honest fun those arts and crafts were to him. A mess of paper, and dulled scissors, white pieces of the stuff spread about the carpet. It would take any number of maids a long time to clean. At the time, Rosinante himself had not grasped the full concept, but it was quite fun to do alongside Doffy. Why his brother did not enjoy the activity was beyond his understanding. Huffing, the older child sat back down, glaring at the crafts in front of him.

“I don't like this, father..” He puffed, looking away from the group, at the frosted window.

Honing just smiled, sighing once more.

“You do not know you do not like it, if you wont try it.”

And, you know?

His father had not been wrong.

The minutes of forced enjoyment that ticked by, turned into actual hours of fun, and even Doffy seemed to enjoy it. The look on his face after the hours ticked by, and when it was time to hand the decorations was not that of relief, but that of slight sadness. A longing to continue the new game, alongside his equally inthralled brother. It WAS fun, and he should have known his father would be right, Rosinante thinks.

Honing…was his father after all. Not a great one, but his, and that was perfectly fine with him.

“Baby, gimme the red ones!” The small voice pipes up, the young kid next to Doffy’s leg calling out to the little girl.

Rosinante stands at the stairs banester, facing the middle of the large, open room. The stairs themselves had already been decorated, with hanging ivy, and tensil draped laong the old rails, and guard. Small lights had also been played along side the decor, making it have an unearthly, but warm glow to it all. The lights halted at the stairs end, but the decorating did not stop at the stairs. For, in front of the stairs, in the middle of the room, stood the main attraction itself. The tree. A impressively sized fir, towering over even Rosinante’s head, with its branches evergreen, and empty. At the front, near the right of the tree, stood a tall blonde man, Doflamingo himself, sporting nothing but a sweater, and a pair of unmatching short pants. These pants looked to be two sizes too small to Rosi, for his hairy legs still showing from underneath, leaving a foot of exposed skin. The one thing that strikes Rosinante however was not that of a change in shirt, but a change in coat. The massive feathered thing was nowhere to be seen, making its normal wearer seem almost bald without it. One of his long, bird-like legs is covered by a small child clinging to it. Dellinger, tugging on the man's pants leg best he could.

“Coming Delly! I got some green ones too!! Doffy! Do you want one?” From the side of the large room, Baby 5 sits in front of a large box of sorted ornaments. The cardboard had clearly been in storage for a few months, for cobwebs remaining on the bottoms of its corners. The written text however was faded, proving it was reused from last Christmas, and before that. The handwriting was written by Diamante, clearly. Back when the first child had joined. It was something to celebrate, and the older wanted nothing more than to make the new family member feel welcome. At least, that was the speculation. Rosinante had not been there for very long comparatively speaking, and the text could be anywhere between a few months or many years. His amber eyes remain locked on the small girl currently, watching quietly. She grabs a few small, reflective orbs; ornaments of different hues. One green, one red, and a few other similar gradients. Tenderly, she reaches out to the pants leg of Doflamingo, looking down at Dellinger. The kid smiles, hand now outstretched for the shiny objects in the girls arms.

“Would you like another one, Doffy-san?”

“Thank you, Baby 5.”

The figure takes one, his hand almost engulfing her entire head as he comes to pat the top. She simply smiles, showing no fear whatsoever. She was one of the few children in the whole sea who would see the man with a smile on their face. These children of the family would never have to fear him as so many others did. Rosinante had heard first hand, when walking up the nearby island’s streets, the whispers that the people had spread. The warnings parents would give their children.

‘Do not stay out too late, The Heavenly Demon will take you away!’ They would say, the children just smiling and running back off the play with their waiting companions on the busy, rural streets. Some kids even told each other tales of horror, and awe about the Donquixote family, which simply spread the word and stories further. These tales had even reached the ears of the government, but no action was ever taken due to the Warlord system. It was not needed, nor fruitful. Even they knew better than to meddle where a monster lay, out of fear of waking something slumbering below the kingdom.

Rosinante’s eyes softly gaze upon the scene in front of him with these thoughts rushing through his mind; The hulking figure of his brother, lifting the petite little girl above his head, to reach the top of the tree. She gingerly places her ornament on the nearest upper branch, it shimmering in the tree lights. Her smile reminds Rosinante of himself around her age, back when things were simpler. Back when he had the chance to be a kid. Before the marines, and before…

“Doffy! Look!” Baby 5 chimes, arms raising in triumph above her head. Holding her gently in his arms, Doflamingo just gives a smile, as he usually does. However this, was not one out of forced, emotionless behavior. No, this was one that reached his eyes too, causing small wrinkles around the corners of them. Kindness, of the genuine kind. Something that was hardly ever seen anymore, if at all. Something no one but his family would ever see. The reflection of the lights bounced off his glasses, causing a soft red shine to be cast on the girls white dress.

“That looks wonderful, Baby 5. You did a good job. I need you now to get the last ones.” He puts the girl back down to the floor, huffing. His smile does not waver, matching her own. The aura of joy is present in everyone in the room, well, except Rosinante. He cannot quite feel such things anymore. Not like he could have. The warmth was there but it was not something he would ever be able to touch fully again. To feel again. Dellinger rushes to follow Baby 5, running towards Rosinante’s legs. Rosinante does not move, or shift, simply staring at his brother. His eyes did not want to leave his kins smile. That warmth- that, genuine joy. He didn't want to go. Not yet.

“Lemme help, BABY!!” Calls the boy, toddling right through the man's legs. Rosinante did not even notice. Couldn’t. His mind was not in the room with everyone else, but rather, in a blank void, with just the idea of his brother's joy. The concept being so..old, so, forgien. It was like looking at their first christmas all over again, and Rosinante could just feel the pieces of snow white paper on his lap, and hands. The smell of the fireplace, be it memory, or in actuality, was present throughout both. The sharp, distinctive smell of the pine needles, some on the floor about the tree's base, was equal in that of the former. Two scents that alone would mean nothing, but together brought those memories to another layer of color and depth for Rosinante. And maybe, his brother was thinking of the same day many years ago. His smile wavered, eyes watching the two kids closely.

“I can carry it!”

“No you can’t, Delly! It's too big for you!”

“I CAN TOO!”

The harmless bickering snapped Rosinante out of his staring tance, making his eyes shift to the noise. Turning around, he can see Baby 5, carrying a cardboard box a bit too big for her. Dellinger is grasping at it from below, on the opposite side, where the label reads “Tree Decorations.” Diamante’s writing once more was present.

“Here!” The girl states, backing up to give the kid more room. “We can both carry it!!”

Dellinger nods excitedly, flashing his sharp toothed smile at his sister. The two kids with all their combined effort begin the process, making their way to Doflamingo, giggling all the way. Doflamingo himself just remains staring, alongside his brother, who stands a few feet away from him, and the tree. Neither of them seem to even notice the other is there.

Doffy could not help but hear the echo of his little brother's laugh join the two children, the joy, and innocence that it carried caused a slight stir in his heart. Another voice follows, the laughter of another, more boasterous than the other. Himself. Watching his brother, and himself carry the ornament box to his own feet, looking up at their father. The two blonde boys, so excited to see what came next, so happy to be included. They may not have known why at that moment they felt so happy, but it was wonderous all the same. It was a rare feeling, and one that Doflamingo and Rosinante could still not describe even if they tried, but the best word Rosi could think of was love. Love for their family. Love for the togetherness. The feeling of being loved by that wonderful group, and the warmth of the heart. God, how he had missed that, if he knew it or not.

“Here you are Doffy!” The faces of him and his brother fade, showing the true forms of Dellinger and Baby 5 in front of him. The memory disappears back to the back of his psyche, ready for another day. He kneels, taking a handful of the thick ropes of shimmering red tinsel. Baby 5 grabs a connected rope, trying to help, while Dellinger grabs the popcorn garland. All get right to work, working together as one, joyful unit. As a family.

A family Rosinante was no longer a part of. Not after his traitorous end. How long had it been since he had died at his brother's hands? 4 years?

No, it may have been longer.

The days did not matter anymore, nor did the date, or time. Life was at a standstill for the dead, and only whipped the living into movement, not the deceased. It was like watching through a pool, Rosinante thought. Through an ocean, looking up at where the waves continued on moving. Continued on marching, and rippling, crashing into one another to create even more. Affecting one another, and crashing into one another. But in the end, they would all just be one again in the sea of time. And at the bottom of that cold, blank sea, was the sands. And sitting on that infinite field, was the soul of a traitor. Of a man who still lay on his back, facing the sky, facing time itself as it rippled, and waved by. The waves never reached the bottom. And his feathers had never swayed. The wind did not exist, and the sand never moved. Nothing was done for the dead. Nothing but life’s waves

The faint memory of a smile came to mind, suddenly, as Rosinante watches the glimpse of life in front of him. The memory of his smile. Of the days when the two of them would ride those stormy waves together, through all time, and all weather. It seemed so far away now, like every surge was one big tsunami. The waves of time never stopped, nor did they care for what rode them, but, to Rosi. Those moments, and those few soft tides, were the most he had ever felt to family. To the display of love that was once in front of him.

‘Law, where was your wave?’

‘I hope the water is not too cold for you.’

Rosinante can do nothing but watch, and hope for such things now. A ghost of the past, and the haunting of mistakes made. Tied to the soul of the object of death, the man could never leave the home, only fade in and out of consciousness of this plane of existence. Some days it was not even worth waking, but other days, like this day. Something beautiful would occur, something new and wondrous. Something that let him feel warmth again. Something that let him feel alive, for just one more moment. It was like riding the waves just one more time.

What he would not give for that. Past mistakes cannot be changed, but with all the time in the world on your side, they are equal to any other. All thoughts, and all memories, all past, and all future, was nothing but sand on the floor now. And that sand made up the seafloor where the man still lay, smiling.

Smiling.

The warmth had long left his body, and the blood had long since dried, but, it seemed that even with those years, and the unknown above him. Rosinante could not seem to stop smiling.

Just in case one day, he was to look up, and see the similar form of that young boy from Flevance, in that small wooden marine boat, sailing above him. Freely, to the future.

Enjoy the Silence

Based on this.

Donquixote 'Corazon' Rosinante being a disaster dad with three different flavors of LoZ Link! We all know every iteration Hyrule's hero is a gremlin in their own way. It's only fair and funny for them to have a taste of their own.

Corazon ends up in one of three Hyrule eras after his last confrontation with his brother, Donflamingo. Luckily he's saved and patched up so the man can run into his future son. All Links know about the Calm-Calm Fruit's abilities alongside the concept of Devil Fruits. They also get trained by Corazon but under different reasonings. These are the only things that each path will have in common as everything else shall be different.

Captain's Dad (Warriors)

A bleeding out Corazon is found by Impa and nursed back to health under the Sheikah Tribe's care. Not even halfway through his recovery, a simple walk ends up with him coming back more injured but also a certain blonde baby in his hands.

(The Sheikah are the first to get a taste of Corazon's shenanigans. Felt like the Shadow Folk should be the first to suffer.)

Wars' family had been killed by bandits with the baby being the last survivor. His dying mother asked Corazon to look after her son. A wish he abides by for Link grows up as Donquixote Espada Link. (Espada is sword in Spanish).

Corazon still gets into mishaps so someone's there to intervene, at least until his son turns 8. Wars asked to learn self defense around 10 years old. It becomes official training once his son decided to join the army, a year before Hyrule Warriors takes place.

Our favorite jester gets dragged into the madness when Hyrule Castle is attacked while he secretly kept watch of Link. Things only escalate further once Cia opens rifts to different eras. Corazon and Wars ends up caught in the blast together as father went to help his son who wouldn't make it in time.

The aftermath becomes clear once Lana, Impa and Sheikah arrive at Skyloft in hopes of finding the missing father-son duo. Both had unfortunately been fused together thanks to Cia's magic, the only way to separate them being through the Master Sword.

Although Corazon kept secrets of his origins from his son, something Link unfortunately begins to learn as they remain fused for awhile. It ain't gonna be fun for either of them. Things do get better in the end before Hyrule Warriors concludes.

Linked Universe wise, Wars isn't as self sacrificial like in canon. This mainly stems from his relationship with Corazon alongside experiencing his dad's thoughts when they were fused. You'll feel pretty bad too if ya can feel how concern your father is for your health and the worries that hang over.

Wars still does stupid stuff but it ain't bad enough to earn constant scolding from Proxi or Corazon. He's actually on leave as Captain since the War of Eras really questioned his resolve to serve in the military. If it's worth the pain, betrayal and horrors such a role holds.

Wind is the only reason why Wars and Corazon get involved with the Chain's mission. (Later Time too but neither knew Mask is actually Time. Mostly Wars.) Plus someone needs to use the group's braincell, might as well be the guy who constantly sets himself on fire.

Fairy Magic (Hyrule)

Corazon is saved by a Great Fairy known as Magnolia, Hyrule's mother. A nice spin to our fairy boy for Donquixote Rosinante is his biological father. I'll be exploring more into their relationship later but it's a medium burn. Also Hyrule is gonna be quite tall since Corazon is his dad. His name will be Donquixote Hadas(fae in Spanish) Link.

Like two inches taller than Time with a growth spurt or two left. Magnolia would one day sacrifice herself for her family but not before leaving behind a final gift to her husband. A staff made from her magic called Magnolia's Hearth, Corazon's main weapon.

Hyrule would one day unlock his Great Fairy nature so the man had the fountain hidden with help from the other fairies. They don't fully start traveling until Hyrule's five. He's more honest about his origins and began training his son when he turned seven.

The father-son duo are both constant travelers but plan to settle down by Magnolia's Spring once Hyrule unlocked his Great Fairy side. (Something a certain magic dorito helps along). Both usually stopping to take safety at the fairy fountains, training or foraging. Like in canon, they get dragged into events of the first LoZ game.

Corazon decides to make an infamous name for himself amongst the monsters and cults once Hyrule is cursed with the Triforce. He already had one son (Law) marked for death cause of something outta his control. It isn't gonna happen again if he has anything to say about it.

So when the Chain arrives to this era, most aren't at ease hearing about the 'Grinning Reaper'. A man feared to the point that a quiet area is seen as a death trap. Something that stems from his powers as a 'Soundless Human'. He can remove the sound of an area to even objects or people. A bomb can go off and you wouldn't know until you see the smoke(or feel the blast.)

First impressions didn't go well since the Chain end up attacking a blood covered Corazon. The liquid iron being from cultists planning to harvest his son's own. A fight stopped by the intervention of a Great Fairy!Hyrule.

Yeah, it's gonna take awhile to convince the duo to help with their cause after this particular mess. More so considering canon Wars bad experiences with Great Fairies. It's gonna be a rough one.

Smiling Seagulls (Wind)

Finally we get to Wind's side. Our favorite accident prone man washes up on Outset Island and is found by our future sailor. This takes place two years before Wind Waker. (He had a lot of difficulty dragging Corazon to his house.) Wind's full name being Donquixote Gaviota(seagull in Spanish) Link.

The man manages to recover, staying with Link's family until he builds himself a house. Rosinante is just too tall as he's about a half an inch shorter than 9'6. He gets a job selling wood carvings and various knickknacks.

Wind is about eight when he asks Corazon to teach him how to fight after seeing the training one day. Part of the request stems by the instinct to protect his family. Other than that, they usually bond watching seagulls or get into shenanigans. And I mean a lot of shenanigans. Half being Corazon's clumsy nature such as falling off the roof or get sent flying into a tree cause he accidentally stepped on the giant pig's hoof.

Everything is going well until Aryll gets kidnapped and the events of Wind Waker begin. Corazon ends up borrowing a dinghy to go search for his son after Wind gets sent flying by Helmaroc King. They reunite on Dragon Roost Island.

He also gets involved in the events of Phantom Hourglass and Hyrule Warriors. There is actually going to be a genuine reason why Wind can't swim in Phantom Hourglass. Kudos if you think what I'm thinking.

Out of the three paths, Corazon and Wind joining the Chain is a bit easier. Just a bit though. Basically the father-son duo end up having to help one Link find the rest of his companions due to portal shenanigans separating them.

Meanwhile Dink decides to be an ass and add some obstacles in their way. Don't know if it's canon in LU or not but Wind still has the Phantom Sword on him. A main weapon that replaces the Master Sword.

Now, for any One Piece fans thinking about a certain Doctor of Death, in all three routes Corazon is gonna have a little reunion and some much deserved payback. The Dressrosa Arc is going to be even crazier as a certain Hylian Hero is joining in.

Monkey D. Luffy

Luffy loves you like an adventure. Everything is new and always fun to try with him, and no matter what happens, you don’t ever regret it, because you’re doing it with him.

He’s persistent in staying with you everywhere, he wants to do everything with you. He tends to invite you ( by pulling your hand ) to do crazy things with him and away from the others so you’re alone.

He’s always showing off his skills and stupidity in order to make you laugh, because your smile is the best thing he’s ever seen and giggles are the beautiful sound he treasures.

His actions are genuine when he holds your hand and pulls you to his side all the time, with the warmest, loving grin.

Luffy always makes sure to remind you to never give up hope.

“Let’s go on an adventure together, [Name].”

Roronoa Zoro

Zoro loves you like you’re his one and only. No one has priority over you, ( except maybe Luffy ), and you will always be his, if you’ll let him.

Zoro is not a man of many words when it comes to his own emotions and feelings, so he shows it through his actions.

He always has an eye on you, so wherever you are is where he ‘sleeps’ so he can keep you close, his swords at his side to protect you from danger, ( but he knows you can handle yourself. )

Zoro is the perfect person to lend a comforting shoulder and ear. He will listen to every single one of your problems intently and if he can, will offer the best advice you’ll hear, even if it’s a bit harshly. However, whatever got you so down, Zoro will bring you back up.

Zoro is always reminding you that you are strong, no matter how tough things get.

“Oi, come take a nap with me. I could use a body pillow.”

Portgas D. Ace

Ace loves you like a gentleman, respecting boundaries, bowing to the elderly you pass by together and always ready to pick you up for your date at seven, bouquet of flowers in hand.

If Ace is good at anything, it’s knowing how to distract you with a good time. He knows the best way to bring a beautiful smile to your lips and can easily make sure to avoid the thoughts that brought you down in the first place.

He’ll share stories that will make you die of laughter or feel so wholesome that you literally melt at how sweet it is.

The few times he expresses and shares his insecurities to you, something he hides within him because he trusts you enough to do so. He loves your understanding and comfort for him.

Ace always reminds you that you’ll be okay, even at the worst times.

Chief of Staff Sabo

Sabo loves you like a prince. He holds the door for you, takes your hand so you don’t fall, has the most charismatic smile on his face and is just so charming.

Sabo will remember the littlest things, the smallest details that you yourself don’t even know until he reminds you, and because of this, you are often gifted the most memorable and cherishing gifts, like the scarf you two bought for your perfect snowman, to the necklace you were staring a little too longingly at on display.

He’s always busy, but he doesn’t hesitate to drop whatever he has just for you. He will run through fire if it means you’ll stop crying or if you’ll be happy to see him. You are his lifeline, his soul, his love.

He may not know how to properly cheer you up like his brothers can, but he knows that he wants the best for you. If you need space, you got it. You need some tender loving cuddles and buckets of ice cream while watching Disney movies? Vanilla or chocolate ice cream?

Sabo reminds you that you deserve happiness and peace.

Trafalgar D. Water Law

Law loves you like you’re his savior, someone who’s always there during his time of need and insecurities, by his side when he needs you most.

He’s a little blunt and straightforward occasionally, but he’s honest somewhat. He won’t ever tell you his feelings until he deems it the right time, but you can tell he has feelings by the change in treatment.

He’ll keep you closer to him, making excuses by saying that he needs you to help him with the supply run, or that he needs your assistance with a particular menial task.

He’s awkward and shy about it at first but he cares and that’s all you need to know. Especially once you catch him during one of his weaker times, the anniversary of a particular someone rolling around, where he’s locked in his room. He needs you beside him, so please don’t leave him when he needs you.

Law reminds you that you are human, that it’s okay to be vulnerable.

“Just stay here with me.”

Vinsmoke Sanji

Sanji loves you like a god/goddess. He will treat you with the utmost respect and care and offers you everything you could possibly want or need, just say the word.

His genuine, endless daily compliments are given to you with pure love and passion, his daily refreshments and snacks to keep you energized and hydrated keeps an eye out for your health.

He makes sure you know the true meaning of flattery, chivalry and love, because that is all he can show you.

However, under that chivalrous exterior, is his calmer, understanding loving self, where he shows his true self and when he finally shares this side with you, where he holds his insecurities, it’s the true honor and love you can receive. And it’s even better, when you become the one who loves for him in return during this time.

Sanji reminds you that you deserve to be and are loved.

Marco The Phoenix

Marco loves you like a married couple who grew old together, still playing jokes and having fun to life’s fullest, no matter your age.

He’s constantly lecturing you for the smallest things repeatedly, since you always seem to forget. His lectures lack any annoyance or malice though, he’s just kind of done with you sometimes.

Nonetheless, he’s taking care of you more than you think, always the first one there whenever you need help. He’s always prepared for whatever you need so you don’t have to look for it and get worried.

He’s stern at times but he loves you more than you could ever know, often questioning himself whenever he’s beside you. He half-lidded eyes watching you with warmth and admiration because you always look so determined.

Marco always reminds you that you are free. To live life to its fullest and however you wish.

“Let me fly you to the moon.”

Donquixote Rosinante

Rosinante loves you like a husband, he treats you like his wife, either you or him welcoming each other home after being gone for so long and greeting each other with a loving kiss each time.

He knows just how tough things can be and as much as he tries to make things right, he knows how bad situations really are and no matter how much he wants to cry or get angry, he always holds a smile, in front of you. To assure you that things will be okay.

He gives the warmest hugs, and knows that, so whenever you’re angry or sad, or just randomly at times, Rosi envelops you into a large hug, waddling you back and forth a few times, you feel instant relief and content, which makes him smile.

His priority will always be you, even if he’s hundreds of thousands miles away, he will find his way back home to you. He surprises you with the littlest gifts; being flowers, jewelry, candles, or more.

Rosi will always remind you to smile, even during the hardest times.

“I will protect you.”

Eustass Kid

Kid loves you like a game, it’s unexpected, unpredictable of what will happen and it’s exciting and thrilling. For you both, one wrong move, and the other is gone for good, but perhaps, second chances/rematches are available.

He can be brash and a bit much, but Kid has high respect for anyone who actually makes it onto his crew and can actually tolerate him, you included.

He’s loud and wild but that only makes it part of the fun. With such a short fuse, as long as you play your cards right and pick your moments to bite back, it’s kind of fun knowing how dangerous it can be with a guy like Kid, and he also loves it equally, because your feistiness is attractive.

Being a bad bitch that doesn’t play by the rules is so incredibly attractive and Kid knows how to reward and punish so tread carefully. ;) however, he has his down moments and as annoying he can be, he does appreciate the effort you give if you try to comfort him. He’ll be harsh about it but eventually, he just wants you to be with him in the end.

Kid reminds you to rebel, take risks and enjoy the thrill of getting in dangerous situation every once in a while, breaking a few rules doesn’t hurt anybody. Most of the time.

“Don’t fucking ever leave me.. okay?”

Dracule Mihawk

Mihawk loves you like you’re an empress, only the finest and highest quality for you, nothing else can compare.

Mihawk will buy you the most expensive dress that suits you, with an equally expensive matching jewelry to go with. Not to mention the heels, and, tch, how could he forget the roses you require? Despicable.

As much as he loves to show you off, he despises the stares of awe and admiration you receive whenever you go out, so his possessiveness takes over and he has an arm around your waist at all times, successfully showing you’re taken and to back off if they don’t wish to be cut into oblivion.

He trains you to handle yourself, obviously, you should know at least some basic skills. He’s not too hard on you but does push you to keep going until you truly wish to stop. It’s only because he’s worried that one day, he won’t be there and won’t be able to protect you.

Mihawk reminds you that you are a queen/king, a strong person who shall hold your ground and never back down from fear and show your bravery.

“Come here, mi amor.”

Red Haired Shanks

Shanks loves you like you’re his future. It’s an unknown journey, but he’s there for the ride and whatever may happen, he’s there staying and won’t be going anywhere, unless it’s with you.

The red head is a goofball, he drinks, parties and messes around but he is an incredible captain and genuine to a fault. So when he expresses kindness, it is purely from his heart and not out of manners.

He is extremely playful and yet when down to business, he is calm, collected, and cool. He knows just what to say in tough situations and great comforting advice, so he’s the one to go to when you’re feeling down. And as laid back as he is, disrespect to those he loves is the one shit he won’t take.

He’ll hold you close and with his signature grin, compliment you and tell you how much he appreciates you and as soon as someone lays a finger on you, his hand is on the hilt of the sword and he waits three seconds for an explanation before he cuts them down. No one messes with his beloved.

Shanks reminds you of loyalty. To always protect and care for those close to you, and keep that built up trust and bond you created with them.

Charlotte Katakuri

Katakuri loves you like you’re glass, he’s careful, protective, cautious and treats you like you’re fragile, because he’s afraid of hurting you.

He’s larger than most, he’s aware of that, so he always takes the precautions to be aware of his surroundings, especially when you are around. He wants you safe and he will be devastated if he is the cause of your pain.

His large stature is a blessing to you though, because cuddling is so comfortable and comforting, it’s amazing. You can curl up and relax and just be at ease with him, because he’s so protective of you, even from his family members. He often keeps you away from Cracker and Perospero, in the slightest chance that they try to take you away from him.

He’ll be extremely heartbroken if Big Mom doesn’t approve of you, but his love for you is stronger, so he’ll keep it a secret if he has to but eventually, he’ll pray and wish for her blessing, asking the help of his siblings to convince her.

Katakuri reminds you of family, that even friends or crewmates are family and love you all the same.

Captain Koby

Koby loves you like a typical high school crush. He’s all shy and blushy, and evidently embarrassed when the pretty one at school is talking to him, ( that’s you. ).

He’s like the wallflower type, who tries to blend in but somehow, he sticks out in a way that lures you to him, like he’s hit the jackpot.

He is incredibly sweet, and his shyness is so adorable. You can’t help but coo whenever you see his red cheeks and soft smile of care he offers.

Always helps you with everything, will take the blame whenever you get in trouble, takes the suffering and pain when guys try to mess with you, and no matter how tough things get, he’s holding a brave face for you.

Koby reminds you of kindness, treat everyone with care and kindness, and it goes a long way.

16th Division Commander Izo

Izo loves you like you’re a painting, he thinks you are true beauty, inside and out, you are a work of art, a true Mother Nature masterpiece born. One to be admired.

The type to be there. He’ll hold your hair while you vomit, rubbing soothing circles on your back while you cry, painting your nails while you complain about Ace, assure your perfection when you’re feeling insecure.

Best advice giver, holds no judgements at all. He’ll help with anything, because you need him. Romantic advice, friendship, sexual advice ;), he will help you any way he can.

He truly admires you, not because of your beauty, but your strength to be able to cry. Crying doesn’t mean weakness but rather, strength to be able to move forward even in the worst of times.

Cavendish Of The White Horse

Cavendish loves you like you’re a princess, and he is your handsome Prince Charming.

Every thing he does it like from a fairytale, if it involved a rather.. bit of a narcissistic Prince Charming. But he means well, because he still treats you like a real princess.

katakuri is a thinker, analyzing situation easily, one of the reasons he's in such high regard of his mother, siblings, and marines- he often finds himself pondering why you have such an effect on him, why your laugh doesn' tsound.. like a laugh, but like.. a simple sound that carries the sunlight. he wonders why he stares at you for hours without realizing it, why his hands constantly itch to feelyour significantly smaller ones in them.

he doesn't think about it per say, it's sort of a subconcious thought in the back of his mind, he's already made up his mind that he'll die before you. he'd throw himself in front of a bullet without a moment's hesitation or even goodbye, simply throwing his life away to save you- and not once does he fight with his subconcious about this. he's content in knowing one day everything will just stop, and moments before that you'd still be there, he wouldn't have to know what life is like without you. he doesn't care that you'll feel guilty, or argue with him, get mad at him for doing something so reckless, there's nothing you could do to stop him from protecting you with every bit of his soul, from diving into the silence of death before your very eyes, only to save you- no head nod signifying he'd be leaving then, no squeeze on your hand, no kiss, no muttered words, only a blur of blue flames with purple, and then the absence of a man.

once marco is in love he's set on living out the rest of his life with them. wherever it takes him it's bound to be an adventure, sailing with the crew for years to come, living life to fullest and running along the glittering shores with nothing but freedom and laughter knowing that you don't have to worry about being alone again. after years of voyages and love, when it's time to go, you both leave with a smile, knowing that you found your soulmate early enough to experience the best life has to offer, you had life at your finger tips and had seen more than most average people would in their life time- your lives are spent, and your love runs with the sand of your hourglass, because only when your body dies, does your love for each other.

Angst Alphabet - Trafalgar Law

a/n: HI HI!!! thank you for your kind words!! I hope you are looking after yourself <333 here is the law angst! Please enjoy 🥰

A-Accident (would they blame themselves if you died in an accident?)

He would only blame himself if any of his actions led to the accident that caused your death (we’ve seen him blame himself for that very reason about Rosinantes death). If his actions weren’t directly correlated to your death in any way then he would not blame himself, though he would kick himself for not being able to help you in time. Other than that, Law is painfully aware of the harsh reality that is life.

B-Break up (How would they break up with you?)

Law would break up with you in a seemingly emotionless way. He’d mask his true feelings, while telling you a whole bunch of excuses why the two of you could no longer be together. He doesn’t believe any of them, but he’s got to do what he’s got to do.

C-Crying (how would they make you cry?)

I feel like I’ve used this one in a few other character alphabets but it really applies to Law too. He would cause you to stress and panic so much over his health and wellbeing. He’s a literal doctor. He should know to take better care of himself, but he just doesn’t seem to care about himself the same way you do. So it isn’t until you’re crying in front of him, spilling your heart out about how concerned you are for his safety that he realizes his health is important to more than just himself.

D-Death (how would they react to your death?)

My god, if Law was to lose another person that he loved, he literally would never want to let himself get close to anyone ever again. Your death would be it for Law. He’d basically be on the verge of giving up himself. What other reason does he have to go on.

E-Emotion (what is one emotion they would try to hide the most and how would they do it?)

He tries to hide every emotion. Law doesn’t like to be too open, out of fear of people using it against him or it simply being too much of a sign of weakness. So, very rarely does he let his emotions show. He also tries to divert attention away from himself in hopes that people won’t focus on him or his emotions for too long.

F-Fight (do you two ever fight? How big are the fights? What do you fight about? Etc.)

This was covered in his fluff alphabet! But here it is again:

Your fights tend to be pretty short lived resulting in forgiveness and apologies from both sides relatively quickly. He really doesn’t like to stay mad at you for too long – he’d much rather have you two on the same page.

Most fights are caused by stress and concerns of health and safety, so Law does a lot of eye rolling and using his title as a ‘doctor’ as justification that he knows what he’s doing so you just need to chill – but like I said these fights are very short lived.

G-Guilt (what is the biggest thing they feel guilty about?)

Law will never forgive himself for Rosinantes death. He will forever feel responsible for his death – it was all his fault. If only he hadn’t given that note to Vergo, then Rosinante would still be alive. He died because of Law’s incompetence (at least that’s what he tells himself).

H-Heartbreak (what would cause them pain in the relationship? How would they deal during a break-up?)

During a break-up Law would act pretty normal. He wouldn’t behave any differently until he’s left alone. Only then would he let himself go and truly feel that heartbreak.

I-Injured (how would they react if you are badly injured?)

Thanks to the doctor in him, Law is able to remain calm. He can keep his composure until he administers whatever treatment necessary. That’s not to say he isn’t worried though. He’s just capable of focusing on the injury right in front of him.

Only once he is certain that you are stable does he (or potentially his crew) go and hunt down the cause of your beating.

J-Jealousy (what do they do if they are jealous?)

When Law does get jealous (which is rarely), he gets quiet. His fists clench a little more, and his frown deepens. He also speaks less than usual (which is already pretty hard to beat). He only gives you short snippy replies until he eventually gets over it.

K-Kill (would they kill for revenge?)

Law would kill for revenge, yes. He literally wanted to kill Doflamingo as revenge for Rosinante. However, it was in Law’s plan that Kaido would be the one to kill Doflamingo (after they fought) – so I believe that is how he’d kill for revenge as well. He would devise a fool proof plan (okay maybe not fool proof, bc if the straw hats are involved who knows what could go wrong).

In short, yes. Law would kill for revenge.

L-Loss (what is their greatest loss?)

This poor man has suffered so much loss in his life that it’s actually really difficult to choose which would be his greatest loss. He lost his entire family as a young boy while also having a shortened lifespan himself. Losing his family, and the realization that he only had a few more years to live, really made him lose his will to live a good remainder of his life. Young Law literally became a pirate.

However, he did meet Rosinante (Corazon) and he gave him another reason to live. Furthermore, Rosinante actively sought out a cure for Law so that he could continue to live a long life. Basically, Rosinante became a father figure/older brother to Law. So, losing him – another ¬person he loved so dearly – would have been beyond devastating.

M-Mistake (what is the worst mistake they ever made with you?)

There was one day where he spent the entire day ignoring you. It was completely unintentional. His mind was swarming with plans and all this other information that has just come in. He got so immersed in it that he didn’t talk to you or tell you what was going on for a whole day.

N-Nightmares (how often do they have them? What are they about? How do they deal with it?)

Nightmares are one of the many reasons Law hardly ever sleeps. He’s haunted by his family’s and Rosinantes deaths. His nightmares get particularly bad around the same time each year (that is, around the time of year that they died). He wakes up trembling and on the verge of tears (but he never lets them fall). Instead of even trying to go back to sleep, he’ll make himself a nice hot cup of coffee and immerse himself in a book or work of some kind – anything to avoid going back to sleep and risking a re-run of that horrible nightmare.

O-Outrage (how and why would they get mad at you?)

Sometimes his exhaustion catches up to him and other times its all the stress building up that finally he snaps and all the emotions are too overwhelming that he just directs it to the nearest outlet, which just so happens to be you.

P-Past (what has happened in your relationship that changed the way you saw each other?)

You walked in on him absolutely breaking down over Rosinante. One evening Law retreated to his room while you and the rest of the crew were eating and drinking. He didn’t think you had noticed him leave, but soon you were following after him. You opened the door and found him breaking down in the middle of the room. You completely forgot that it was the anniversary of Rosinantes death. It was the first time you had seen him this distraught and it broke your heart.

It really cemented into your brain that no matter how tough he may look, he still suffers (probably more so than anyone). But, you were also grateful that you were able to see him like that, as it allowed him to start relying on you a little more.

Q-Quality (what is their most dangerous/toxic quality?)

His inability to openly express his emotions. Sure, now he will share with you how he is feeling, but that is with you and ONLY you. He still insists on keeping everything else bottle away from the rest of the world which is a really unhealthy way to deal with things. It’s not that you dislike being there for him, in fact, you appreciate how trusting he is with you. It’s just, what if there comes a time where you aren’t around and he’s in desperate need of someone to confide in?

R-Rejection (how would they react to you rejecting their confession (or the other way around)).

Law would wait until he was 100% certain you returned his feelings to confess to you. So, if you were to reject his confession he would be really confused for a while. He’d let it go because well, everyone has their own reasons – its not his place to tell you how you feel. All he can do is tell you how he feels and then the rest is up to you.

S-Scars (battle or self-inflicted)

He has no self-inflicted scars, and to my knowledge he has no battle scars either. But, his arm did get cut off and then reattached during the Dressrosa arc, so it actually is likely that there is a remaining scar from that (although I’m not certain).

T-Trust (have they ever broken your trust?)

Nope not at all. In fact, the only instance in which he would possibly break your trust, or lie to you, about is when he went to Punk Hazard and sent his crew to Zou. Some would assume that he wouldn’t tell you his plan out of fear of your safety, but that’s not true. He had to tell you. You taught him to be open and honest, and to trust. So that’s exactly what he did.

U-Urge (how badly do they want to see you after you guys separated?)

Law has gotten so comfortable around you that whenever you aren’t there, he gets unbearably anxious. Your presence is soothing, even if he can’t see you, even if he can only hear your voice echoing throughout the Polar Tang, it’s enough to put his mind at ease. So, if you are separated for a while… oh boy does he want to see you badly.

V-Vicious (what do they do when they lash out on you?)

He tends to yell at you. He tells you to “piss off” and that “you’re only being a nuisance right now”, despite you only wanting to help him.

W-Weak (what makes them feel weak how do they try to avoid it?)

Not being able to control things makes Law feel really weak. Weak may not be the right word, but it definitely makes him feel unprepared. He doesn’t like when things are out of his control and he can’t account for things. Which is usually why he always does extensive research and preparation before constructing a well thought out plan.

X-X-ray (what do they hate and show it most obviously?)

Well, I mean other than his obvious hatred of bread, Law also really hates when he works extremely hard on formulating a plan only for it to be completely thrown out of the window by a reckless straw hat wearing captain and his entire crew. (and somehow everything still ends up working out!!! That is the part that frustrates Law the most HAHAH).

Y-Yearn (what is one thing that they want but can’t have?)

One of the only things he’s ever really wanted was for Doflamingo to be taken down. He’s been partially successful in that sense, seeing as Doflamingo is in prison now. However, he wants more than that. He wants Doflamingo to suffer the same way he has.

Z-Zero (what do they do/say in your dying moments?)

It may seem a little out of character but… I believe Law would be borderline desperate/inconsolable. There would be a lot of clinging on to you, begging you not to leave him like everyone else he’s ever loved. He can’t handle another person leaving him, it’s too much. It’s far too much.

He wouldn’t cry (just yet), but his voice would tremble, and his hands would be shaking. His mind would be racing with all sorts of theories and possible ways he could save you. How could he possibly prevent the inevitable?

Vinsmoke Sanji

He’s one to understand abuse the best, especially coming from siblings. He might want to “talk” to your brother and throw some feet, but will respect your wishes if you don’t want him to. He does his best to let you know, that no matter what people say, even your family, he still loves you and thinks you’re amazing!

If you are having some bad days say after a fight, he will make your favorite meal and cuddle with you on the couch or in bed! Letting you know that people have opinions and sometimes we don’t always share the same side and that’s okay, but it’s not okay to lash out at someone like that. He will reassure you that you are deserving of love and he will love you always!

Donquixote “Cora-san” Rosinante

Cora also understands sibling abuse! Though he and his brother haven’t seen each other in such a long time, there is still some bad blood there that makes it hard for him to move forward in life. So, he gets the harbored feelings both towards your brother and at yourself. Though at times he can be a bit violent, he tries to think his actions through and wants you to have a good relationship with your family some day, so he doesn’t want to do anything to ruin that chance.

Similar to Sanji, he will let you know what you mean to him and wants to be a shoulder for you to cry on. Let him know how to help you and the man will be your best supporter!

Nico Robin

Robin knows that people don’t always get along, so it doesn’t surprise her when you tell her you got into a fight or witnessing it first hand. She’s the type who will mediate if needed, but also knows this isn’t her place and will support you after the argument. If the fight does get out of hand, the she has no problem ending it quickly.

During the more difficult times, she will be a good source of reassurance and logic in the situation. It’s easy to let out emotions control how we feel, so she will be your reminder to help you understand both sides of the argument. Again if needed, she doesn’t mind helping you make up either! Since she doesn’t have any family anymore, she wants you to value the family you do have!

Nefertari Vivi

Vivi also knows families fight and don’t see things eye to eye at times. Though she never experienced any negative backlash from her arguments, she does understand that some families aren’t so lucky. She will support you though! Always letting you know that despite what your family might say in the moment, they still love you and wants what is best for you in their own ways.

Another validator in the group (I swear they all are words of affirmation lovers-), she will do her best to remind you everyday how much she loves you and how much you mean to her! Between random “I love you”s or simple peck on the lips, you own her heart and she wants you to know it!

Revolutionary Doflamingo AU

Doflamingo had been hangry at Dragon ore often than he dared to reflect on some days. He’d been a hurting, terrified child when the man had picked him up and he’d remained one for months, periodically lashing out, but he hadn’t felt anger like that in a long while.

Personal betrayal.

Not even when Dragon had decided they’D leave Iva in Impel Down had Doflamingo felt anger like this bubble up, perhaps because he’d known himself that they wouldn’t be able to get them out.

But this was a personal slight, information that Dragon had withheld on purpose and Doflamingo couldn’t imagine why.

“—and that’s why we—”

Doflamingo ripped the door open, interrupting Rosinante in the middle of his report. Huh, his brother was back already. Doflamingo hadn’t heard, thinking him still out on the sea after visiting Law.

“Welcome back, Doffy.”

“Cut the bullshit,” Doflamingo hissed, forcing Rosinante to stand a bit taller still.

Fourteen years working side by side and Rosinante still didn’t fully trust him, couldn’t keep his instincts from going against what his mind knew. It stung, worse than being pierced by a warlord’s blade.

Doflamingo marched over to Dragon’S desk and slammed the paper on it, depicting the smiling youth that had sent him spiraling this morning.

“You have a son,” Doflamingo said. “You didn’t tell me.”

Dragon took the paper showing off Monkey D. Luffy’s ridiculously high East Blue bounty, studying it keenly. Had the man seen his son at all growing up? Or had he just left him behind, abandoned him because it was easier—

“I didn’t think this was something you needed to know,” Dragon replied, his attention back on Doflamingo, pointedly ignoring Rosinante, who was so traitorously silent.

Realization struck at once. “You knew. Rosi, you fucking knew and didn’t—”

“It’s not that difficult to find out,” said Rosinante. He fidgeted with the feathers of his coat before brushing his hair out of his eyes. He should have gotten Law to cut it after visiting. Rosi could never keep his hair straight, especially not after their mother had been too weak to do it for him. “And Garp was as close to an uncle as I had growing up with Sengoku. I’d heard he got a second grandson shortly before I left to join up with you.”

“Second grandson?”

“First one’s adopted. Portgas D. Ace, or Gol D. Ace if you will, Whitebeard’s Second Division Commander.”

Rosinante rattled the information down like it wasn’t grand, breaking Doflamingo’s worldview a little. He’d watched the Pirate King’s execution together with Dragon, feeling somber in the aftermath of an era’s birth.

“How do you even know that?”

“I’m a spy, the spymaster, in fact. Knowing things is my job, Doffy.”

“But not keeping them from me.”

Rosinante opened his mouth to reply, but Dragon swiftly cut him off. “It has no impact on our cause, Doflamingo, and I never intended for Luffy to join our cause.”

“We’ve raised children before,” Doflamingo commented. “Koala, Sabo, Law, myself included. Never mind all the other refugee children.”

“Children, not infants. You remember what it was like seventeen years ago. We couldn’t have kept moving around bases with a newborn.”

Seventeen years ago—

“He was born during your undercover mission,” Doflamingo concluded. He remembered that time well. Dragon had been out of contact for months and he’d taken over running a huge part of their information network. When their leader had returned, it had been with information, weapons, hideouts, and no explanation as to how he’d gotten them. “Dragon—”

“It does not matter. He grew up safe and happy and is following his own dreams.” Dragon sighed. “Is there anything else you’d like to discuss or can I finish my meeting with Rosinante?”

Doflamingo wanted to keep talking, fifteen more accusations and questions on the tip of his tongue, half-aware that most of them were based on the vulnerability of a boy collapsing with a decapitated head in hand.

He remained quiet.

Personality: He takes more after Michelle in this respect, with being the first one to step in and clarify the bigger picture for people. Parent's Commentary

M: Our eldest child becomes everyone's big brother to whomever he meets, although he can be aloof. He truly was a blessing to my and Law's lives after the incident at Hairong, my hometown, and we love him with all of our hearts. He was a miracle that showed us that after everything we've been through with our dead ends of fate, we were able to create something even more powerful than any 'ROOM' or 'Dreamscape' we can make. I still think about how he gathered Lamia and Lukas by the windows and started teaching them about the ocean and creatures that lived out there. He is such a great storyteller too, that the kids often come to me asking if I could make whatever was in Ross’ imagination in my Dreamscape for them to play in.

L: I never thought that I would make it this far to find someone who I could share my life with, no less having a child. A pirate's life is dangerous and I was...afraid...to lose something precious to me again, but seeing how Michelle was just as determined to protect what we had, I knew I wouldn't want anyone else to have a family with. Delivering Ross was momentous for me and I'll never forget the first time he wrapped his fingers on mine. It was like I was seeing Cora-san again after so long. Growing up, he often imitates my and Michelle’s calls for our devil fruit fields and asked when he could get his own devil fruit so he could protect the Heart Pirates like us (chuckles). Michelle and I were at first alarmed, but seeing how much he wanted one, we taught him the consequences of having one and the different types out there. Who knew that he would inherit Cora-san’s fruit. (gently smiles) And he uses it to help his younger siblings sleep when the have trouble.

Lol this was from a couple weeks ago and I forgot it in my drafts. I don’t even remember who pinged me anymore but here have a bit of my mute!Luffy fic.

The boy Law brings to Dressrosa to fight for him - the boy who barely escaped the Summit War alive, the boy who waged that war just for a brother he wasn't even related to by blood - this boy-

-smiles like Rosi used to as a child before their useless father had brought them all to ruin, and mouths unintelligible words like Rosi used to as an adult when he'd pretended to be mute, and signs like Rosi never did no matter how many times Doflamingo suggested he learn, because then-

-then they could talk again-

-because Doflamingo had taken the time to learn when he really thought Rosi could no longer speak-

-because he learned it for nothing, but he couldn't unlearn the skill afterwards, and so when this boy signs at him, all wild fury and defiance in both the snarl on his face and the shape of his hands-

More than the name of his crew or the ghost he carries on his back, more than stealing Rosi's love or eating the Ope Ope no Mi, more than the ludicrous chip on his shoulder Law has wasted thirteen years of his life on - thirteen extra years Rosi gave him for absolutely nothing - it is this boy Doflamingo thinks he's always going to hate Law for most.

He tries to kill them both, even if that means slaughtering the entire kingdom - they're all beneath him anyway so why should he care? He is a god, and they should've known better than to rebel against him.

"You got in my way," He tells them, as he's told many, many people over the years, all those who thought they could refuse him his birthright, all those who just didn't know when to yield, like Dressrosa, like Rosinante.

Except unlike Dressrosa, unlike Rosi, for the first time since Doflamingo forced the world to bow for him-

< No, > Straw Hat Luffy signs back at him with burning eyes and bared teeth and a conqueror's will that matches his own, and the boy might as well have roared because Doflamingo can hear him just fine. < YOU got in MY way! >

Doflamingo loses, and when he wakes again in chains and darkness and defeat, he laughs and laughs and laughs, wondering what Law will do now with his little pirate knight in rubber armour, so like Rosi but not - not when he cherished his older brother above everything, not when he was strong enough to live despite the impossible odds, and certainly not when he refused to give Law another thing to mourn by making sure they would both survive instead.

And Law, fate-blessed and fortune-favoured and heaven-damned Law, with yet another brand-new lease on life and now an ally who won't let him go to his grave so easily—

Doflamingo wonders how long he'll last this time, how long either brat will last. No one rises forever. Rosi knew it, and now Doflamingo does too.

But he also thinks again of that boy whose loyalty Law has somehow secured as thoroughly as he had Rosi's, and Doflamingo knows that even when Straw Hat Luffy's time comes to call, at the very least, his end will not be silent.

Not like Rosi after all.

When Ace jumped from his raft up onto the railing of Luffy’s ship, he honestly didn’t expect someone to be standing right where he landed. He couldn’t blame Nami for screaming like she did in favor of a normal greeting, and it was also no surprise when Luffy’s voice came only a second later, asking what was wrong in a voice full of alarm. What was surprising, however, was when Luffy’s head popped out from behind what looked like a large polar bear sleeping right on the deck of the Thousand Sunny. Seriously, Luffy and his tendency to pick up the weirdest things.

"Hey, Luffy," Ace greeted, waving at his brother.

A bright smile appeared on Luffy's face when he realized just who the intruder was, scrambling to his feet and immediately falling over, nearly landing face first onto the lawn. Ace just had to laugh at the sight, but his amusement soon died down. Instead, he had to frown at the pained groan and cursing in a voice that was decidedly not Luffy's, and neither did it seem to have come from the polar bear who was still snoozing away without care.

"Sorry, Torao," Luffy apologized with a sheepish smile directed at the person he had apparently tripped over.

Who the hell was ‘Torao?’ Who was the person Ace could only assume his baby brother was napping with? Seemed like an interrogation was in order. Later though, there were arrangements to be made first. After all, having back up on this couldn't hurt and he had the best back up just waiting for him on the next island.

Picking himself up and running over, Luffy nearly crashed into Nami in his hurry this time, but his navigator managed to side step him at the last second, probably expecting something like this to happen. Luffy only shot her a crooked smile and a half-hearted apology, prompting her to shake her head at him, crossing her arms over her chest in a scolding manner.“Honestly, how is your entire family like this? One of you is going to give me a heart attack one day.”

“Sorry,” Ace and Luffy apologized in unison, the both of them bowing to her for good measure. After all, they both knew all too well that Nami’s wrath was scarier than anything they had ever witnessed on the Grand Line so far.

Nami huffed, shooting one last unhappy glare at them before she turned around and said, “We should be arriving at the next island in a few hours, I’m going to check what we need and get things ready.”

Ace sighed in relief; it seemed like they had somehow managed to avoid the worst.

"Ace, what are you doing here?" Luffy asked as soon as Nami walked away.

Ace grinned, finally jumping off of the railing he had been perching on. “Can’t I just come visit my favourite baby bro?”

“Of course you can,” Luffy said, sticking his tongue out at him. “I just didn’t expect you. Weren’t you going to Wano to see Tama?”

“Yeah, but there was a change of plans. Sabo’s actually on the island you’re heading to so I took a detour,” Ace explained with a shrug.

The reaction was immediate. Just as Ace expected, Luffy perked up even more, his smile going impossibly wide and Ace could swear there were stars in his eyes. He was also basically vibrating in place and Ace had to chuckle at the sight. He understood Luffy’s excitement, neither of them got to see the revolutionary nearly as often as they would have liked for obvious reasons, but Luffy was just too cute when he got like this. How he even did the… bright all over thing was something beyond Ace’s understanding but he loved seeing it every single time regardless.

“Sabo’s there?! Why didn’t he tell me?” Luffy cried out, grabbing onto Ace’s arm in his eagerness.

Before Ace could reply, the other person who had been hidden behind the polar bear until then stood up, muttering seemingly to himself, but loud enough for both Ace and Luffy to hear, “Oh great, there’s going to be three of them.”

“Torao~,” Luffy whined, turning to look at the grumpy man with a pout. “Don’t say it as if it’s a bad thing,” he finished, bouncing away from Ace to stand in front of the other man instead.

Ace scowled at the sight of Luffy peeking up at ‘Torao,’ who only stared back impassively as if he wasn’t bothered in the least by Luffy’s puppy eyes. Ace didn’t think that was even possible. Not to mention they were standing way too close to each other for Ace’s tastes.

“It is a bad thing. There’s way too much energy just with you, Luffy-ya. I don’t need more of it around me,” Torao told him, finishing with a light flick to Luffy’s forehad. An action that nearly had Ace toss a fireball at him if only Luffy didn’t start giggling over it.

Suddenly, Luffy stepped even closer to the man, wrapping his arms around his waist and grinning up at him. “You love it,” he announced, sounding all too proud of himself.

“In very small doses,” Torao admitted before leaning down and kissing the top of Luffy’s head.

Oh, Sabo was so hearing about this.

Ace cleared his throat loudly, raising his hand to make sure the fire crackling threateningly in his palm was the first thing Torao would see when he looked in his direction.

“Nice to see you again, too, Fire Fist-ya,” the man said flatly, one eyebrow raised.

Ace smiled at him, making sure it look as fake as he could make it. “Trafalgar Law. What do you think you’re doing to my little brother?”

“What does it look like?” Law shot back, showing a smirk that only managed to irk Ace further. If Luffy wasn’t standing right there, he would really have thrown that fireball at him.

“Ace?” Luffy asked, tilting his head to the side in confusion as he looked at the fire dancing angrily under Ace’s command.

Ace sighed at that, reluctantly putting the flames out. That asshole was seriously so lucky Luffy was there. He and Sabo would have to corner him later and threaten him when Luffy wasn’t looking. “Anyway, as I was saying—” Ace shook his head, trying to make himself focus on the matter at hand— “I don’t think Sabo knew you were this close to the island. He said he only had one afternoon free and absolutely needed to see me for some reason. So, Luffy. Want to come with us to get something to eat?” he asked, even though he knew the answer. As if Luffy would ever say no to that.

“Let’s get meat!” Luffy exclaimed loudly, full of enthusiasm and throwing both arms in the air. He nearly punched Law in the face.

Sadly, it really was only nearly but Ace still took great pleasure in returning the smirk Law had given him earlier. He quickly turned back to Luffy, however, and replied, “Well, Sabo seemed like he had something in mind already so let’s just go and see.”

Luffy nodded at his words, a bright, happy smile that looked just the same as it did all those years ago at Mt. Colubo on his face, and Ace felt his previous smirk melt into a fond smile in return. There was warmth in his chest at the sight, the knowledge that his little brother was still the same even after everything that had happened over the years making him incredibly happy.

Without even realizing, Ace’s hand came to touch his own exposed chest, his fingers tracing the rough, large burn scar that Akainu had left there during the war four years ago. It was honestly a miracle he was even alive. He had fully accepted death back on the execution scaffold but then Luffy crashed in, just as loud, just as unexpected as always, bringing so much chaos with him that it changed the entire course of the whole ordeal. And then he accepted it once more when he threw himself in Akainu’s way to protect Luffy.

But now here they were, both of them miraculously alive—thanks to Jinbe, Marco, Vista, and, as much as it pained him to admit it given the very recent circumstances, mostly thanks to Trafalgar Law’s incredible timing and medical skill—and both bearing lava burn scars on their chests as a reminder of what could have happened; what was so incredibly close to happening. It was incredible how much the experience had changed them, yet somehow, how they were still the same as they used to be when playing pirates in their little tree house base.

And when Sabo had appeared in front of them again, with tears and apologies and so very alive, it felt almost inevitable.

Ace shook his head at his own thoughts. This was no time to get all sentimental. “Okay, Sabo’s waiting. Are you ready to go? Striker isn’t really a two person boat but it should be okay,” Ace said, gesturing towards his fire powered raft.

“Yes!” Luffy shouted like he had just won something. “Your boat always seems so fun to play with,” he sang, running over to look down at the slim, sleek raft that was gently swaying along the Sunny.

“Glad you’re so excited,” Ace chuckled.

He went to jump back down on Striker immediately, but Luffy stopped him when he spoke up next, “Oh wait. Do you think we could take the Mini Merry? Torao is meeting his dad on the island, too.”

Ace paused, looking at Luffy with a slight frown. What the hell was a ‘mini merry?’ But more importantly, did they really have to take Trafalgar with them?

Thankfully, Law had saved Ace from having to deal with either of those questions when he spoke up instead, “Thanks but I’ll stay here, Cora-san won’t be there until evening anyway. Plus, I’m not going to risk your brother drowning me on the way.” He shot Ace another one of those smirks when he finished and Ace almost wanted to burn it off of his face but…

“Fair point,” he admitted instead, surprised at the laughter that bubbled out of his chest. He shuddered in horror at the idea of this asshole growing on him.

“I have no idea what you two are talking about,” Luffy mumbled in annoyance, but perked back up a second later when he announced he was going to let the crew know he was going on ahead.

Ace and Law looked at each other, Ace trying to convey with his eyes the threat of bodily harm that he was thinking in regards to the man standing in front of him. He could only assume he had succeeded when the corners of Law’s mouth twitched up slightly, followed by the surgeon flipping Ace off before he turned around and walked off, sitting down and making himself comfortable with his back resting against the somehow still asleep polar bear.

He was seriously pissing Ace off.

He did have to give it to him, though; if nothing else, this asshole had guts. Reluctantly, Ace had to admit that was probably the most important qualification to pass as Luffy’s boyfriend. He was still not getting out of that interrogation though.

The development of Law’s relationship with Zoro - Part 4: Dressrosa, The Breaking Point (Aftermath)

Even though admiral Issho alongside with his men officially apologized to King Riku and the citizens, the king made sure the “outlaws” were hidden from marines. Straw Hats, Law, Bellamy and Kyros ended sheltered in Kyros’s home where he once lived with Scarlet and little Rebecca. First time in a long time, the allied pirates were together again. In the night, Sabo visited the house, but beside Zoro, Franky and Robin, everyone was sleeping. The four had a talk about Sabo’s past and the best time to leave Dressrosa before marines will attack them.

Law’s sleep position was much more relaxed and open than the one from the beginning of Dressrosa arc (chapter 794). Maybe it was just the result of total exhaustion and injuries or maybe Law, after so long of stressing and worrying, finally could relax knowing that A) Doflamingo was in marine custody thus no longer a threat and B) he was safe around Straw Hats.

The available room was small but Law could choose any spot to sleep. Instead, he was shown lying close to drinking Zoro (by frame layout alone, again in between Roronoa and sleeping on bed Luffy, this time without any danger around). Zoro most likely planned to stay awake through the whole night for security measures (he has this habit of sleeping just 3 hours per night after all) and taught by experience, Law didn’t have any reason to doubt that if attacked, the swordsman would protect him, the same as he did during battle.

Law didn’t even bother to pretend he was cautious or wary, he simply slept, trusting allies to take care of their safety.

With Zoro, Franky and Robin being the only one awake, there is a high probability they talked about the latest events. How their fights went, what they learned, what to focus on, what to watch out for in the future with angered Kaido as the next goal on alliance’s list. It’s hard to tell for sure if Robin told others about Law’s choice to stay behind and whether in victory or death, share Luffy’s fate. On one hand, it was a choice made under strong emotions, trauma and even the feel of responsibility for Straw Hat’s wellbeing. A choice made because of very personal matters. On second hand, exactly because it happened under such pressure it was the most sincere side of Law Robin had a chance to see for herself. She and Zoro are the least trusting members of the crew and that night was the best moment to discuss in detail what happened and in the process dispel any remaining doubts about Law as their ally. Both saw his determination and fighting spirit, knew he saved their crew members and kept Luffy out of harm's way despite his own injuries and finally, both had some understanding of Law’s hidden goal in Doffy’s destruction. They may not know the whole truth, just the nature of it, but that was enough because Trafalgar did not betray them. And well, he had the suicide feel about himself what could raise some concerns about him too.

I personally think such talk could happen that night, when memories of battle were still fresh in their mind and everyone out cold beside the three of them. The exchange of information could be another reason for the change in Zoro’s behaviour.

For the three days, the Straw Hat-Heart alliance was left in peace by marines. Once again Law was exposed to Luffy’s antics but this time Zoro acted in a more open way, even showing his more usual irritation at other people’s odd behaviour, including his own captain:

Interestingly, there is a visible shift in the arrangement of characters positions - during battle it was usually Zoro-Luffy-Law and the dynamic changed mainly in face of danger. Now with upcoming frames somehow Law was put more often in the middle between the other Supernovas. Even though Trafalgar still kept some tangible distance from others, judging by their (not so strictly stoic anymore) behaviour, it seems like he and Zoro were now more comfortable around each other.

Then the navy finally made its move against pirates. Unlike Usopp, Zoro and Law didn’t show any distress. Bartolomeo and other fighters prepared themselves for such an occasion by securing for Luffy’s group a safe escape route. Instead of running away with his friends, Luffy decided to visit Rebecca - now a princess - and confront her about her family matters.

Zoro reminded Luffy they don’t have time, so he better get it done quick while the rest will wait in eastern port...

and then again, run in the wrong direction.

At this point, Law may have a good suspicion about Zoro’s no sense of orientation (chapter 797). And who knows, maybe he ran alongside Zoro (on picture below, behind Kinemon and Robin), to make sure the infamous Pirate Hunter did not wander unexpectedly somewhere else… that, or both planned to linger behind and secure the group retreat.

The fellow fighters came to their aid, keeping marines far away from Straw Hats. At the same time, Law disappeared without a word, to find and confront recently arrived on the island Sengoku (unless he did mention his intention to Zoro, while they ran side by side??). Frankly, the manga did not provide the reaction of Zoro nor any other member of Straw Hat crew to Law’s disappearance, so it’s impossible to say if they were worried about him or simply trusted in his strength to return on his own on time.

Meeting with Sengoku was one of the most important breaking points for Law. As it turned out, the former fleet admiral treated Donquixote Rosinante - Law’s savior - as a son. And for thirteen years did not understand why his beloved son didn’t follow the order to stay away from Minion Island.

“One day… a soldier I knew died. He was someone I cared about, someone who meant something to me. I took him in as a boy… and treated him like a son… He was as honest and upright a person as I ever knew… and a valuable, trustworthy subordinate. But there was one time, just once in his life, that he lied to me. I had been betrayed… but there must have been a reason for it. Four things disappeared in the chaos of that fateful day. The Barrels Pirates, the life of my subordinate, the Ope-Ope fruit… and a boy with White Lead disease who was with the Donquixote Family at the time.”

Law admitted he was the boy and confirmed that Rosinante left his post and died because of him. Admitted also he didn’t know if the way he lived was what Cora wanted.

First time in 13 years, Law was assured that there wasn’t any hidden goal in Cora’s decision to save him. The man saw a dying, hurt child with the spark of his brother’s madness and decided Law was worth loving and dying for. It was unconditional love, without any “if” or “but”. The “D.” name and the usefulness of Ope Ope no Mi did not matter. Even stopping Doflamingo meant then little. The only thing Rosinante wanted was to save Law and make him finally free. Sengoku literally told Law to not “attach a reason to the love you’ve received”.

Apparently, english “I love you” does not carry the whole meaning of the original phrase “Aishiteruze (愛してるぜ)”. Rosinante’s declaration was along the “I can’t live without you” level of loving someone (x). Now, after so many years of hiding from Donquixote Pirates, planning and scheming and living just to kill Cora’s murderer, Law finally understood the depths of Rosinante’s love. The breaking point is that: Law at last knows (accepts) he was unconditionally loved and now, is free from Doflamingo for good. He can allow himself to finally live without doubts and regrets the way he wants, without a sense of failing some unknown to him expectations. And I think, to some degree, it is the reason why Law’s secretive / introverted behavior changed into a more open, relaxed act around Zoro and Straw Hats. Because he finally could relax, be comfortable with himself.

Due to danger from admiral Issho, Law couldn’t spend more time with Sengoku and had to run to the rendezvous point. Surprising, no Straw Hats waited for him (in the sense, weren’t shown in the frame). Even more surprising is the lack of Zoro between former colosseum fighters in the frontline of the fight. Anyway, Luffy showed up soon after Law but instead of dodging the blind admiral, attacked him. Because to be Pirate King he must face everyone: Warlords, Admirals and Emperors and beat them down.

Zoro in general agreed with Luffy’s reasoning (chapter 799) but did not exactly understand the way Luffy fought against Issho, telling his blind opponent what kind of attack he was going to use. The admiral himself was very surprised by that too, but ultimately accepted and even respected Luffy’s weirdness. In the end, Issho managed to send Luffy flying - what happened to be a favorable circumstance for allied fighters. They catched Luffy and despite Straw Hat’s protest, dragged him to safety. Zoro was happy about that too, but for a different reason - he wanted to take Luffy’s place to fight with a powerful enemy. Bartolomeo thankfully managed to stop the battle-lusting warrior.

Law’s reaction to that event wasn’t shown but once again he had a chance to see Zoro’s insanity when it came to fighting a strong enemy. Zoro and Luffy in that regard were very similar to each other.

Straw Hats-Heart alliance finally got on ship, the Yanta Maria and with the help of people of Dressrosa (who under the pretext of chasing the pirates away, were actually protecting them from the admiral's deadly attack), the alliance sailed away safely.

Zoro and Law's reaction to Yanta Maria was visibly distinctive from pleasant shock of others (open jaws). Zoro smiled, Law, judging by the frown, looked unimpressive. Both their reactions were more quiet and toned down.

On the ship, Bartolomeo and fellow fighters asked Luffy to drink with them “cups of Father and Sons”, to officially accept them as his underlings.

Luffy of course refused, because he A) didn’t like alcohol and B) didn’t want to be captain of such a big fleet. Zoro warned his allies they wasted time trying to change Straw Hat’s mind (and to just give the sake to him). Yet the fighters were ready to force Luffy into accepting the drink. Further Luffy’s explanation only confused everyone (beside Straw Hats) even more. Including Law.

And then Law’s attention immediately turned to Zoro, who, taking advantage of the opportunity, started drinking sake from Luffy’s cup to Usopp’s displeasure.

Finally, Luffy managed to explain his reasoning:

“If I ever think we’re in trouble… I’ll shout for your help. Then you can come save us! I don’t have to be a boss or a great pirate, right?! If you’re in trouble, call for us!! We’ll come and help you!!! I won’t forget about how we fought Mingo together!!

And the Seven Leaders admired and accepted Straw Hat’s decision. But since Luffy was all about freedom, they simply followed his example. Whether Luffy liked it or not, they decided on their own to make him their boss.

Law thus witnessed the founding of the Great Fleet of Straw Hats. And yet, somehow it looked like he was more interested in Zoro’s drinking sake behind Luffy’s back.

When party started, everyone celebrated their great victory (chapter 800):

Luffy, like always, was in the centre of everything. Law, though smiling, kept his distance from Zoro and other partying people. But soon after that Law’s personal space was invaded by Zoro.

The anime expanded this little moment, first showing Zoro approaching Law sitting alone, asking to join the rest. And then, ignoring any protests, just threw his arm around the other man’s neck. Law’s face spoke how much he minded such treatment and had no dignity about that:

During parties, Zoro always spent his time sharing alcohol with people who fought side by side with him (Paulie, Water 7/Enies Lobby) or actually were his opponents (Braham, Skypiea). Zoro didn’t have a habit of forcing people to drink with him or asking (introverted) person who clearly wanted to be alone to join the bigger group. He himself rarely joined larger groups and usually just sat somewhere far from the noise with a few people around. So, Zoro most likely understood Law's isolation since he used to do so himself. Here though he was the one invading Law’s personal space and not giving a damn if the man was happy about it or not. On second thought, if Law didn’t want to join the others, it made sense for Zoro to join him. In a sense, it could be Zoro’s way to break the ice between them. What is even more interesting, considering the palpate distance he kept from Law at the beginning of the story. The second important detail - Law could easily get out of that situation by using Ope Ope no Mi powers. A simple switch of the places and he would be free for good. Yet Law remained, despite how awkward and/or outside of his comfort zone it was.

We may only wonder what made Zoro act in such an uncommon way. Was that respect for Law forged in the heat of battle? Did it bother him that Law after everything was done, still isolated himself? Did it look like Law felt discomfort to be around people he barely knew or interacted with and who all pledged loyalty only to Straw Hats, thus Zoro decided to keep him company?

Zoro initiating physical contact in itself is an uncommon occurrence. Because as much as Straw Hats pirates can - and will - invade Zoro’s personal space, Roronoa is not exactly the type of person open to such contact. Once again, the shift between the beginning (visible distancing) and ending (invading Law’s personal space) of the Dressrosa arc is tangible. Somehow between one and the other, breaking point in Law and Zoro’s relationship happened and changed for good their dynamic. What was seen day(?) after the party (chapter 801):

Law and Zoro sat close to each other, the previous distance gone. Zoro was reading newspapers, indifferent to his surroundings - instead of facing and observing the Heart captain, like he used to do at the beginning. Both men looked like they were comfortable around each other, even despite - or maybe, because of - the shared (forced?) drink. The change in Zoro’s behaviour is diametrical.

Like was said at the beginning, Dressrosa Arc is one big breaking point. It changed the status quo of pirate alliance and Luffy’s position, from rookie pirate to leader of a powerful fleet. It will lead to the complete dissolution of the Shichibukai system and for good push the main hero into collision with Emperors. For Law alone, Dressrosa was like opening old, still not healed wounds but also so needed a moment of catharsis. He was ready to die there, but was saved time after time by allies. In a sense, it was the final test of how strong the alliance was before facing angry Kaido.

Law changed a lot through the course of action. Or maybe not really changed, but like allowed himself to show hidden emotions and trauma. The cold-blooded, scheming pirate who planned to use Straw Hats crew (and spare his own) turned out to be a man willing to sacrifice himself to finish what his savior started but couldn’t do himself. Who came to believe in Straw Hats, as the ones who made miracles happen. Not only Luffy, but the crew as a whole.

The same as Zoro finally saw Law in hopeless, awkward, sometimes outright humiliating situations (anime extension), Law’s impression of Roronoa cracked too. No sense of direction, insanity to laugh at the dangerous enemy and enjoying the thrill of fight, the fondness of alcohol -- all of this created anew image. This time more flawed but at the same time, more real, human. Despite the flaws and awkwardness of previous situations, both proved to be strong-willed, cool-headed warriors one may rely on in difficult times. Zoro stretched out his hand to him, broke the ice, abandoned the distrust that distanced them for a long time. It seems like Law was finally fully accepted by Roronoa and all unsaid things between them settled down for good.

At the same time, the arc showed their similarities. Both were the quiet ones, the type of people who kept distance from others. The ones with pragmatic thinking in contrast to Luffy’s chaotic madness. Zoro for sure was a helpful presence during running from enemies and meeting a weird fighter after another, especially since he did try to keep his captain in check. That it didn’t work for a long time is a different matter.

Anyway, looking at the beginning and end of Dressrosa arc, there is a visible change in how Zoro and Law acted around each other. How the neutrality changed into something more comfortable.

Here comes things worth examining a bit more.

↪ The Seven Leaders pledged loyalty only to Straw Hat Pirates. As long as alliance between Luffy and Law will work, this is not a big issue and to take down all Emperors, every additional help was good. But if ever those two pirate crews will fall apart, Luffy literally just gained a powerful fleet, thus has advantage over rival captain.

↪ Straw Hats & Heart captain worked together to take down Doflamingo. Luffy of course was the one that finished the enemy, but overall, Luffy’s victory was a result of teamwork between pirates, colosseum fighters, marines and common people. As much as Trafalgar Law was well known as the Shichibukai, Luffy and Zoro were in fact the ones that made the biggest impression on people (colosseum fight, defeating Doffy & destroying Pica) and actually interacted during battle with other fighters. Frankly, both showed their charismatic nature that made people believe in and follow them. Luffy became the hope of the whole country. Zoro was the spark that united people to stop the birdcage and brought Luffy the needed time to recover. Law is powerful and has a reputation and knows how to deal with different people to get what he wants, but he is not really good at interhuman relationships in general. Luffy gains friends on the left and right. Zoro, despite being asocial, rude and introverted person, has the impressive air about himself that often makes him look like the coolest person who is not afraid to challenge everything and everyone; for whom impossible does not exist (destruction of Pica, stopping birdcage). Law… kinda lacks in that department.

↪ Because of the made impression on other fighters, there is a big chance Law may have heard some retelling of the events during the party. Luffy and Zoro aren’t men who brag about their exploits, but Bartolomeo and his companions had a lot to share about battle. With so much alcohol and so many strong individuals that were very impressed by Straw Hats deeds, it seems logical that tales of battle would sooner than later be told. Especially by devoted fans like Bartolomeo. Zoro’s daring plan to defeat Pica and stop Birdcage could be recalled by those fighters who saw it themselves, filling Law with missing fragments of the battle.

↪ Frankly, shonen mangas have this one upside down that the final boss must be defeated by the main hero. Which means that characters who actually could do something useful (damaging) to the enemy are pushed to the sideline. Like Robin, who can snap a person's neck from far away thanks to Hana Hana no Mi. Or Zoro, who could join the other Supernovas in their fight against Doffy (either before Law’s threatening injury or after, instead of stopping the birdcage). Or dwarf princess could heal Luffy for a few minutes to finish Mingo once and for good. It’s not exactly a complaint, because it's the standard formula of One Piece story, but because of such, Law and Zoro were pushed into the background, for Luffy to shine. For most of the arc, Luffy was the main figure in the dynamic of Supernova Trio. They did not interact much in words, but the layout of frames - the character position and background activities - created the feeling of the slowly forming bond between Zoro and Law. Now, after Doffy’s defeat, there is a shift next to whom Trafalgar sticks (Zoro) and Luffy is unnecessary for them to interact on their own.

↪ Law didn’t care how high was the newest reward for his head. In contrast, Zoro was pleased to learn his own increased a lot. Even asked for alcohol to celebrate. What could turn into another moment of Zoro dragging Law into drinking.

↪ The last detail (though I’m afraid it may vary from one translation to another) is the way Law addressed his allies. Luffy usually was the Straw Hat-ya. The girls were titled as Nami-ya and Nico-ya. Usopp as Nose-ya, Sanji as Black Leg-ya, Chopper as Tony-ya. Unless I missed it, I don’t think Law addressed Zoro directly to use either his name or made up nickname. They really didn’t talk much throughout the course of the story. There is a chance it happened after freeing Dressrosa - either during the three days when everyone waited for Luffy to wake up or during the party, once alcohol was shared. Zoro, depending on translation, called him either Law or Traffy (or similar form of the nickname).

With the chapter 802, the Dressrosa arc can be considered closed. Now, the Straw Hats-Heart pirate alliance sail to meet their missing crewmembers and to prepare for the fight with angry Kaido. How truly comfortable Law and Zoro became around each other will show the next place: Zou.

7. Nami

Nami has a bit of an unfair advantage in that we see her through our her cute growth. I mean look at this. She a cute baby:

She even somehow a cute kid as a fully grown adult:

I mean, look at her pigtails! That's right, sweetie, one day you'll grow up to be a big, strong navigator!

Although, I have to say that part of what makes actual kid Nami so adorable is her precious little smile. For some unknowable reason (Arlong, having her mother killed in front of her, carrying the stress of her entire town's welfare on her shoulders before the age of ten, growing up way too soon, finding herself stranded in a rowboat with a smile ball of sunshine idiot and a frowny faced SWORD idiot) Nami doesn't seem to smile so much anymore (being one of the only rational people on a ship full of suicidal stupid children or perverts, constantly being placed in peril by said children, being one of the few people on the ship with an actual responsible that if she s fails at means they could easily all wind up dead... Really, it's a complete mystery). Certainly,it doesn't have that same quality of innocence and unrestrained joy.

Basically, Nami has a Luffy smile as a kid and she totally rocks it.

6. Baby 5 & Derringer

This is a baby Baby 5 babying a baby Derringer.

I mean, honestly? What else do you need?

5. Killer "Murder Machine" Killer

[I just want to say how hard it is finding pictures of Killer as a kid. We hat do you search? "Killer Child"? "Kid Killer"? "One Piece Killer Kid"? Also, sadly, "One Piece Killer as Kid" does not return a bunch of pictures of Killer and Kid clothing swaps. You disappoint me, internet.]

Okay, so I only learned about this cutie after I decided to make this list and let me say - HOW FUCKING CUTE IS THIS MURDER CRAZED LITTLE PIRATE ANGEL!? He is SO cute. Look at his fluffy blonde hair! Ah, I'll bet he was such a sensative little gentlemen, too, you know? Everything about him says, "I will call you ma'am, share all my toys, and def cry every time Bambi's mother dies even though I've seen it like THIS many times."

I'll bet Kid (who gets second place shouts outs for also being a adorable little tyke but has slightly less pinchable cheeks than my boy here) got him in sooo much trouble. Can't you just imagine baby Killer following Kid around on the playground.

"But Kid, we're not suppose to... The adults said so."

"Come on, Killer, it'll be so much fun."

"Mmm.. I don't know... it sounds dangerous (and scary)."

"Killer, don't you want to be my first mate when I become pirate king?"

"Of course, Kid! More than anything!"

"Well, pirates don't go around listening to adults or not doing something just because it's scary, do they?"

".... No, I guess not. No, they won't be very good pirates if they did."

"And you and me, we're going to be the best pirates EVER, aren't we?"

*Nods Eagerly*

"Well then....?"

"... Okay, but just this ONE time, okay Kid? Than can we please go make sand castles like I wanted to?"

"Yep! Right after, we'll make awesome pirate sandcastles! I promise!"

And that is how so many fires got started.

4. Donquixote Rosinante (Corazon)

Maybe I should have combined this one with Killer. They have a lot of the same things going for them. They're rocking the same fluffy blonde hair, they both have cheeks you want to kiss and pinch at the same time, and, yeah, of course Rosinante cried whenever Bambi's mother died. Though, to be fair, that wasn't just when he was a kid.

He definitely had to leave the room during that part when Law, Baby 5 an Derringer were watching it (for the record: Baby 5 would bite her lip and tried to act unaffected, Derringer would laugh and then start pouting about the lack of blood, while Law... Law would just stared down the TV while thinking on the inevitability of death and how it eventually comes for all living things.)

Also like Killer, the soft and adorable Corazon has a much more badass (but in a cute way) bestie/brother who should have maybe made the list of they didn't insist on standing so close to someone else who is just So. Fucking. Cute.

The one thing really seperating them, besides the incredibly different circumstances of their births placing them in opposite economic and social spheres entirely at random is this Straight Outta Mariejois top hair curl.

Ack, this kid is just too fucking cute.

And yet still not top three level of cuteness.
