just imagining (canon compliant) Theodore Nott dating fem!Wolfstar!reader and like the angst of it because realistically, Sirius’ daughter dating a Slytherin?? Sirius’ daughter dating a Nott?? A very well known family of followers of Voldemort? And all Remus knows about Theo is that he was the quietest of the boys in reader and Theo’s year and that he didn’t spend time with Draco and Draco’s friends. Sirius tries to get information from Harry and Harry doesn’t even know Theo exists so he asks Hermione who Theo is and Hermione rolls her eyes because Theo is not only a lone wolf and quiet, but he’s highly skilled in Potions and Ancient Runes and it frustrates Hermione because she has never once seen Theo in the library studying.

(Non-canon compliant because Enzo is a fanon character) So Harry asks Neville, Seamus, and Dean for more information because while Remus knows enough information to judge now, Sirius is still not too happy about this arrangement. Harry learns from Neville, Seamus, and Dean that Theo rarely speaks, but they have seen the boy hang out with Enzo and Blaise on numerous occasions.

Sirius is still not too pleased because while he now knows Theo is not a complete loner who’s intelligent is normal Pureblood subjects, Theo is friends with a Zabini, a rich and powerful family, and a Berkshire, a Pureblood family not part of the Sacred 28 and Sirius isn’t too impressed in the choice of friends the Nott boy has made. Sirius asks Harry to get Ron’s brothers, known pranksters and troublemakers who are good friends of reader, to pull a prank in Theo’s vicinity to see how the Slytherin reacts. Sirius believes that a guy who doesn’t enjoy pranks isn’t good enough for his daughter.

So Fred and George pull off a prank on Lorenzo Berkshire while Enzo’s spending time with Blaise and Theo. The twins somehow, I’m not good at writing pranks, get paint all over Enzo and Blaise and Theo by accident. Enzo’s trying to laugh it off because it’s Fred and George, they obviously didn’t mean any harm while Blaise is disgruntled and trying to not hex the twins because now he has to wash paint out of his hair which is not an easy task and he’s just praying the paint Fred & George used wasn’t acrylic. Theo’s smirking and holding back a chuckle at Enzo and Blaise’s reactions, not even noticing the paint that splattered onto him. Fred and George are rolling around on the grass, laughing so hard their lungs hurt and while all of this is happening, reader is only standing a distance away, mouth ajar and eyes wide because Fred and George had sworn Theo would be off limits now that Theo was dating reader.

I might honestly end up writing this myself because I’m so hooked on it now. Also, in my mind fem!Wolfstar!reader is also a Ravenclaw and secretly highly mischievous.

My Opinions on Harry Potter Ships (controversial but not for shock value)

I have tagged the ships that I talk negatively about under anti, so check the tags before you read this. Keep in mind there are a few here that I feel iffy on but did not tag as anti.

(Shrug means I prefer them sometimes or specifically in one medium over another (book vs. movie), check means I love them in every version, X means not at all)

Golden Era

Drarry: 🤷‍♀️ The appeal comes and goes; the further from canon it gets, the more I like it, but in a canon compliant universe I don't. Still, they were immensely important to each other growth wise, and I enjoy seeing the different interpretations of that.

Romione: ✅ One of the all-time greats. Sure, the books are kinder to their relationship, but the movies aren't completely lacking in the way some people would like to believe (newsflash: it's not just Ron's character that was butchered in the movies).

Dramione: ❌ I wouldn't be exaggerating when I say that finding out someone ships Dramione makes me lose respect for them. If you understand Hermione at all, and not the self-insert version of her that the fandom has created, you'd know that she would never.

Linny: ✅ I enjoy them, but specifically the book version of them that features Ginny as Luna's weirdness translator and Luna as the cryptid hanging out at all the Gryffindor parties under Ginny's arm. Platonic or romantic, they are a great match.

Deamus: ✅ Love, love, love. The fact that they are one of the few characters that don't have a confirmed marriage by the end of the series just adds to the delusion that they ran off together. Hard to find any content of them that I don't like.

Hinny: 🤷‍♀️ Harry finding happiness and a family after everything he was forced to go through is all that matters to me, so I never want to rain on his parade but, again, their relationship is so much better in the books. Ginny, specifically, is better in the books, but I digress.

Marauders

Jily: ✅ I hate seeing them shipped with anyone else. Their love literally saved their child. They're written in the stars: stag and doe. They were in each other's lives longer than they weren't. Plus, you know who else tried to separate Jily? Voldemort.

Wolfstar: 🤷‍♀️ I started out as a decent fan, but my appreciation has slowly fizzled out. Their dynamic is more interesting when you see them for how they really are: the last of their group. They aren't the ones they wanted, but the ones they got.

Jegulus: ❌ I have little else to say about it other than that I miss when it wasn't being shoved down my throat and washed down with Lily-slander.

Prompt: O68 — To his horror, he realised he'd been this way before.

The castle, which Dean had, as a naive eleven year old, found intimidatingly large, was now too small. It would be easier if he could walk around with his eyes closed, a pursuit that was rendered impossible because Hogwarts was essentially the world’s most infuriating maze. He’d used to find the moving staircases and the trick doors enchanting, now he just found them extremely bloody irritating. 

Of course, for the past few days he’d found everything extremely bloody irritating, and his mood definitely wasn’t improved by constantly running into the sickeningly happy new couple, who seemed to be everywhere Dean was trying to go. 

“You said you were over her mate,” Seamus said as Dean stomped unseeingly down the sunlit charms corridor in the direction of the staircase. “You said yourself that she wasn’t right for you.” 

Dean didn’t reply as they turned the corner, no set destination in mind, just needing to keep moving. He had said that. He’d meant it. 

“And you said you were a bit relieved when you broke up,” Seamus continued, either not understanding or, more likely, not caring that Dean absolutely didn’t want to talk about it anymore. “You fought over the stupidest things. It was painful to watch, I can’t imagine what it was like to actually live it.” 

Dean turned another corner, grunting in response to Seamus’ observations. To his horror, he realised he’d been this way before. His stomach sank.

There they were, where he’d seen them five minutes ago, completely wrapped up in one another and oblivious to Dean’s – to anyone’s – presence.

Their fingers were entwined; Ginny was pulling away from Harry, but he was tugging her back towards him. Far from looking annoyed, Ginny’s head tilted back and she laughed, acquiescing to Harry’s attempts to pull her closer without any real resistance.

“Keep moving, mate.” Seamus shoved him lightly, forcing Dean’s feet to resume walking.

Unfortunately, Harry and Ginny began to walk at the same time as Dean and Seamus. Transfixed, Dean watched as Harry collected Ginny’s school bag from the floor; Ginny’s eyebrows raised in question and Dean still couldn’t look away. 

He’d made the same fatal error once before, and received a lecture that had very quickly turned into an argument when Ginny had refused to see that Dean’s actions had not been some silent suggestion that she was incapable of carrying her own belongings. As if he didn’t have enough sisters to know exactly what girls were capable of. 

For the first time in days, Dean didn’t envy Harry in the slightest. He braced, waiting for Ginny’s inevitable flare up. 

It wasn’t forthcoming. 

The newly familiar sting of bitterness pierced his ribs. She’d never smiled at Dean like that. She’d been happy, especially in the beginning. They’d shared grins and knowing looks across the common room, but she’d never looked so… incandescent. 

Idly, Dean wished he could draw her as she was right in that moment, even if the expression on her face wasn’t for him, there was some unnamable quality to it that deserved to be inked on parchment. Of course, Ginny had never been Dean’s to capture in such a permanent way; that much was becoming increasingly clear. 

“Let’s go to the North Courtyard,” Seamus said, placing a hand on Dean’s shoulder and steering him in the opposite direction to the one Harry and Ginny were walking in, forcing Dean to look away. “You can have another attempt at the rowan tree. I think you almost had the shading right last time.” 

“What are you going to do?” Dean asked, trying not to let his eagerness for the suggestion show. It was one of the good things that had come out of his breakup with Ginny. She had never possessed the patience required to sit for the hours it took Dean to perfect his pieces, and he was slowly starting to remember the simple pleasure that came from creating. 

Seamus shrugged easily, not wavering from the path he’d set. “I’ll probably just watch you – you know I like to see how it all comes together.”

So, I couldn't leave out Dean's other half; my favourite fire cracker. Seamus Finnigan :) I am so into the whole DEAMUS ship. I feel like Dean, being bisexual would have been dating a bit and Seamus would have just watched and felt miserable, but he wouldn't know why he felt that way until he realized he was in love with Dean. Then finally, they'd both crack and realize they have feelings for each other. And it would be difficult, but so sweet. And Seamus would have been devastated when Dean went on the run and he didn't hear from him and just- agh my heart. I'm sorry.
